RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS ( the "w-what in earth are you doing?! you're asking if i don't like it? d-don't be silly, i obviously do. i must say...hugging isn't against any rule, so i presume that we can stay like this for a little longer" boy )

── as we all know, riddle is ( or must be ) really touch starved. although he is in need of this kind of affection, i don't think that he would give the best hugs. as i said, he's touch starved and didn't really had a parent figure that would hug and show any way of love, so rosehearts don't know how to react ( or give better hugs ).

── i dearly believes that he would be a little bit stiff during the first hugs:( but once he's comfortable enough with it, riddle would come back for more <3 also, i don't think he would do such a thing in public ( not because he's ashamed of you, this won't ever happen!! rosehearts it's just not used to PDA and stuffies like that ).

──aAgain, his hugs will be reallyyy comfortable once he's used to it!! It's the kind off hug you would feel protected and safe. HE HAS A STRAWBERRY JAM SMELL AND I DON'T TAKE CRITICS!!

── during hugs, he would gently place his head in the crook of your neck and just...calm down hearing your soft breathing and heartbeat. his face is a bright shade of red, tho!! <3

same goes for if you flirt back, he either plays it cool or becomes a stuttering mess and tries to escape

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Heartslabyul boys when they experience love at first sight !

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS

As a child who hardly has any friends because of his mother, he finds it hard to believe that he could ever fall in love with anyone. His mother would probably not like the idea of him having a lover at a young age in the first place. That’s why Riddle considers that love at first ‘sight’ is merely child’s play. Those thoughts stayed in his head until he met you; the magicless prefect from another world. Something within his body skipped a beat when you both made eye contact and he felt that time itself stopped ticking; he felt as if something lit up his dark world as soon as he saw you.

He was mesmerized. You quickly broke eye contact and was more focused with your current situation in the mirror chamber, while Riddle kept staring at you with widened eyes and a hand on his chest, his face visibly flushing red. He…He had never felt these feelings before, it made him feel so weird. If Azul hadn’t called him out to help him catch Grim, then he’d be staring at you with brightened eyes for who knows how long.

TREY CLOVER

Honestly, the thought of falling in love with someone you just met never came into Trey’s head. Whenever his siblings ask if he has a lover or not, he’ll just chuckle and say that he is far too young to have one, he’d rather focus on his studies and not romance, that’s for the future. Those thoughts left in his head as soon as he met you. You were just minding your own business— making sure that Grim and the adeuce duo won’t cause a fuss.

Trey didn’t realize that he was staring for so long until Cater nudged his arm with a teasing smirk plastered on his face, “Oh~ seems that Trey has fallen in love with Ramshackle’s prefect!” The ginger teased as Trey chuckled nervously with a visible blush on his cheeks, “It’s not like that. I was just…distracted that’s all.” He said as Cater raised a brow at him. “Oh don’t be like that! If you’ve fallen for someone, you shouldn’t let them go unless they don’t want you!” Cater exclaims with a thumbs up, to which Trey sweat dropped.

CATER DIAMOND

He’s a pretty easy-going guy. If he falls in love, he falls in love. But what he didn’t expect was falling in love as soon as he saw the person — aka you. When Ace had to go back to Heartslabyul to see Riddle and apologize, you of course, had to tag along with Deuce and Grim. That’s when you and Cater first met, could it be fate? He was stunned by your beauty, how cute. Cater being Cater, he easily conversed with you without any problem. But he’ll admit that he does feel a bit shy and nervous around you…He won’t admit that to anyone but himself LOL

If a Cater likes you, be prepared for him to be VERY clingy. He’ll probably appear out of nowhere just to get your attention —not that you mind tho— and Trey has to hold him back for a few times due to class almost starting. But Cater will definitely make time for you, he loves you LOTS. After all, you’re the first person to ever make him feel like this! Enjoy yourself because this man will definitely make your life brighter! <33

ACE TRAPPOLA

Well, you see…Ace is kind of experienced when it comes to love. Keyword: KIND OF. But falling in love at first sight? Oh no, oh no, he never experienced that. But when he does…Well, he’ll be pretty surprised. I guess something about you just makes him so happy. Every time when your name gets mentioned he turns his head towards the direction of the voice, if he spots you from a distance he’ll let go of anything just to approach you— homework, food, whatever— that won’t stop him from getting near you.

However…There is something you need to get used to when gaining the interest of Ace Trappola…IT’S THE AMOUNT OF TEASING COMING FROM ANYWHERE. He will literally make fun of you (in a loving way) anywhere and anytime. It’s just so fun for him to see your flustered and annoyed face. He’ll flirt with you too though, which he finds it even more fun hehehehhehe

DEUCE SPADE

AND HERE COMES MY FAVORITE CHILD Oh when Deuce falls in love he’ll be a total mess around you. 100x more when he fell in love with you at first sight! Let’s just say that during his delinquent era…He intimated lots of ladies and gentlemen. So it was hard for him to fall in love or even get someone to fall for him. BUT THAT’S WHEN YOU CAME! You and Grim were hunting chasing Ace down until you three bumped into Deuce! When he saw you, he gawked at how beautiful you were! His heart was fluttering and beating faster than one could ever imagine.

When you ran towards him and told him to help you catch the escaping ginger, he looked back at Ace and then to you profusely. He was completely distracted by you that he didn’t realize a ginger running away! But he did oblige and summoned a damn CAULDRON that crashed onto Ace. As you were thanking the blue-haired boy for his help, Deuce was scratching his cheek and was averting his gaze away from you with red all over his face and quivering lips. Ace got pissed “Hey blueberry head! Quit being such a puppy to them and get this damn cauldron off me! I’m suffocating!!” The ginger exclaimed out of frustration.

Another personal headcannon I have is that despite everyone being trained in actual magic, they'd freak out at the simplest close up magic. Like, the Dormleaders are the best magicians in school but they'd freak out if you pull out a card from nowhere.

Malleus would be the most fascinated, how did you do that? You strange creature...do it again. It started when you pulled the finger separating trick on him....he believed it.

"LILIA! THE HUMAN SEPARATED THEIR FINGERS! HELP!" Lilia didn't know if he should laugh at the hilarious situation or be worried that the future king of Briar Valley was so easily tricked.

You were hanging out in Heartslaybul one day and decided to pull a party trick....you took and egg in you mouth and a few minutes later a bird flew out. Duece and Riddle are traumatized, Ace and Cater wants you to do it again, Trey is amazed.

Like Malleus Kalim would be easily impressed by simple close up magic, he'd practically drag you to Jamil with the brightest smile on his face and says "Do the thing!" then you proceed to pull a card behind Kalim's left ear and A coin from his right and would freak out jumping up and down shaking you as he celebrates the little trick you pulled. Even though Jamil is annoyed he didn't dare to tell Kalim that it wasn't real magic, he might as well tell him the tooth fairy and Santa ain't real while he's at it!

Vil already knew of your close up magic, but he couldn't help but be (very) impressed when you get him a flower out of nowhere...

Idia isn't impressed at all, but would rather die than tell Ortho it wasn't real. He'd never forgive him.

Azul wasn't impressed at first then saw you levating a random student mid Air, how did you do that?! He wants answers! Floyd is just begging you to do more tricks and would have a similar reaction to Kalim when you do it.

Like Idia, Leona isn't impressed at all but he would pay you to keep Cheka distracted when he visits.

In short, Actual magical wizard and mages looses their shit when a non magic human uses close up magic or illusions.

The TWST Dorm Leaders Catch You…

Repost: from Sept. 2022 from my old blog; Anarchy-Archives. The post did well enough that I thought I should put it back up here and reshare it <3

GN reader who’s artistically trained. The boys catch you immersed in your craft, whether that craft is painting, cooking or dancing…

Heartslabyul:

Painting the rose garden on canvas. It was the perfect afternoon. Classes were still in session except for yours; Crewel had let your class out early when someone’s potion exploded. You got off unscathed, so you wandered into Hesrtslabyul’s rose garden with your art supplies, fully intending to paint a portrait of Grim but with the lovely ambiance as background, when a lone rose bush caught your eye. You immediately sat down adjacent to it and set up your canvas, mapping out all of its details. You had completed a couple roses so far and were fully immersed in your craft, not realizing classes had let out, when you heard a voice behind you…

“My, what do we have here?” Riddle stood behind you. You gasped, nearly dropping your brush. Riddle stood over your work, looking impressed. “I had no idea you were so talented. The shade of red translates perfectly from real life to canvas. I might like one of my own, do you take commissions?” You nod, smiling. Riddle explains he would love a painting to capture the unbirthday parties he hosts. “You don’t have to draw all the guests, but the decorations and the rose garden would be lovely. Of course, if you don’t mind.”

Savanaclaw:

Gymnastics. It’s a sport, yes, but it’s also an art in its own right. It’s something you grew up with, so it’s something you go back to when you have a bad day. Tumbling is a fantastic workout, and rhythmic gymnastics with music in the background always fills your soul. You were perfecting some of your favorite tumbling passes in an extra room of the Savanaclaw Magift Stadium. You added in some elegant twists and turns, alongside the back-handsprings and front-flips. You finally landed a pass you liked, and were only interrupted when they said…

“Oi, herbivore. What are you up to?” Leona was leaning against the doorway, looking sleepy. You give a light chuckle and explain that you were tumbling. Leona raises an eyebrow; “I didn’t know you could do that.” You nod, explaining that you put years of practice into it, and that you do it when you’re stressed. It’s better to keep up the craft. Leona smirks and then stifles a bit of a yawn; “You woke me up from my nap, but what you’re doing is vaguely interesting. I wouldn’t mind watching for a bit. Go on, impress me.”

Octavinelle:

Singing. It was past closing time in the Mostro lounge, and you were helping Azul clean up. Azul, Jade and Floyd were locked in Azul’s office, and you had taken to wiping down the tables. You began to hum as you worked. Your humming became slightly louder, your voice echoing off the walls of the empty room. Enjoying the sound of your vibrato in the room, you add lyrics in; now singing at a decent volume. You were exclusively focused on your vowel shapes and your work on the tables until you heard someone clear their throat behind you, making your song come to an abrupt halt…

“Well, this is quite the surprise.” Azul was standing a ways away from you, smiling big. You thank him, feeling the heat rise in your cheeks a bit. “I didn’t know you could sing so well. You’re clearly trained.” Azul steps up closer to you and adjusts his glasses. You nod, explaining that you had had lessons in the past, and that it’s something you’ve practiced for many years. His face lights up so fast and so bright when he hears that, you can practically see the Madol-signs swimming in his eyes. “You know, I would love to have you perform here at the Mostro Lounge. May we make a deal?”

Scarabia:

Cooking. You had helped Jamil bring supplies to the kitchen while he was off tutoring Kalim. While you were there, you noticed the perfect set of ingredients to make your favorite dish. It was a quicker one, but flavorful nonetheless. You get to the prep work, chopping the vegetables with ease using your perfected knife skills. You heat up the pan and toss the veggies in, sautéing them with a plethora of spices. The alluring smell of the aromatics must have drawn someone in, because they startled you when they said…

“It smells soooo good in here!” You whirl around, cooking spoon still in hand, and greet Kalim’s massive smile. You thank him enthusiastically, matching his energy. “What are you making?” He steps up to peer into your pan. You explain what you’re making, and that it’s your favorite; “I could make enough for multiple people, if you’re interested.” Kalim’s eyes light up. “That would be awesome! I can have Jamil poison test it, even though I know you won’t do anything to hurt me. He can have some too!” You chuckle lightly, thinking about Jamil’s distaste for Kalim enjoying cooking other than his own. “I’ll have to go fetch him! And thank you for cooking! I can’t wait to try it!”

Pomefiore:

Dancing. It was early in the morning, and you were alone in Pomefiore’s ballroom. You couldn’t decide what to do for your workout, so you threw in your earbuds and put on some music to dance to. It was a bit early for more energetic dances, so you put on a playlist of any song with 3 beats per measure, and you began waltzing. Well, sort of. It was your own version of a waltz, with a lot of ballet influence. It was very free flowing and it spanned the entire room. Jumps, spins, dips…whatever your heart desired in the moment. You hadn’t performed in years, but your body still knew how to glide over the floor. You danced your heart out for some time, until you saw a figure standing in the doorway from the corner of your eye…

“My my, I didn’t know you could dance like that.” You stop dancing abruptly, dropping your arms to face the man in the doorway. Vil stands there, smiling as he speaks. Facing him entirely, you shut your music off, returning his glowing smile and accept his praises with ease. “If only Epel could move like you do…” he sighs, entering the room. You give a polite chuckle; “I’ve been doing this for years, so…” Vil scoffs lightly and clicks his tongue as you apparently state the obvious. “I can see that. What other styles of dance do you know?” he inquires. As you go through the styles you know, he steps up and takes your hand; “will you dance with me? I’ve been looking for a dance partner, and you seem to be the perfect fit.”

Ignihyde:

Animation. You were huddled in Ignihyde’s lounge, staring daggers at your device. You had worked on this animation for about a month now, but something wasn’t adding up. You gripped your drawing pencil in between your teeth as you stared at the animation, slowing it frame by frame. You flipped the canvas back and forth, and then you caught it. The blinking was uneven and unrealistic. You announced your victory with a little excited screech, which must have tipped them off…

“Animating again? For that new game series?” You look up from your device to see Idia standing above you. “Can I see?” You nod and play the animation. Idia’s eyes instantly light up. “Wow, talk about some S-tier stuff!” You smile and thank him. He asks you to play the animation again and again, seemingly analyzing each frame. “I’ll have to show Ortho! He’ll love it! If…if that’s okay with you?” His excited confidence falters a tad, but he regains it when you smile; “I would love to show him! You’ll have to call him over!” He grins, appreciating your acceptance. “You’re so lucky you’ve been working on that project! I can’t wait to play it when it’s done!”

Diasomnia:

Playing a classical instrument. This was your escape. You love what you do, and every time you find yourself completely lost in the music. The rooms in Diasomnia are lovely in terms of echoing acoustics. Not so great for practicing and being critically aware of your raw sound, but great for an ego boost. Today, you had decided to pull out a piece by Clara Schumann. One you hadn’t played in a while. Midway through, the tempo changed; adagio, it said, and you fluttered your eyes closed. Your fingers remembered the section well, and they took over while your eyes were closed. Your passionate playing echoed off the walls until you heard the door open loudly…

“I haven’t heard that piece in years.” Malleus’s shadow stood in the doorway, a faint smile on his face. He sounded quite nostalgic when he spoke, and he spoke slowly; “Schumann, huh?” You nod, confirming his guess. He enters the room silently, and steps closer to look at the music. “You have good taste,” he eventually says, reading the music silently to himself. You smile, and thank him. “We should play a duet sometime,” you offer. His face lights up at the request, and he accepts graciously; “I would love to hear your music blend with mine.”

📡 _a/n. ty for the req anon ^-^ !! this took me some time to work on because i was trying to figure out how it would work, but yk i had to get it out before monday; though i had to cut back on the amount of characters. maybe i’ll do a part 2 if i’m motivated enough. usually i order characters by order of dorm, but i’ll make an exception for you here since, what’s not to love about azul?

a. ashengrotto

— you don’t blame yourself for having forgotten your own birthday, though it’s a shame; three days to obtain a picture in a museum under the sea or else your only living space will be taken from you, being forced to spend the nights at savanaclaw, and then finally, the third overblot of the year. the third! in the end though, you figured it didn’t matter too much. who would be able to celebrate your birthday with you, people from a whole different world than you?

— though you also didn’t expect things to get hectic romantically, you’re not upset about that either; so you sat with azul in his office, spending time together in comfortable silence as he got some work done. it seemed as though something had randomly popped up in his mind, though, as he carefully put his tea cup down on the coaster and turned to you. “also, i should ask, angelfish— when is your birthday? i’d like to remember so i can treat you.” for a moment, you debate how to respond. it’s already been three or four months since that day. “well..it already passed.” azul sighed, looking disappointed in a way you could quite express, before he continued, “oh? well that’s a shame. but nonetheless, what’s the date?” “ah..the day you overblotted?”

— you can’t help but notice the air turn heavy as the silence once comfortable turned awkward, azul appearing more miffed than before. at least, not long before; “well, is there anything in particular you wanted for your birthday?” you hummed in confusion before he started again, this time more confident, “it doesn’t matter if the time has gone, you’re my lover correct? i still might as well get you something special.” in any normal situation you would have probably shook your head politely and say it wasn’t necessary, but this was related to your birthday. of course, you took up his offer— you weren’t going to give up a birthday gift that easy.

l. kingscholar

— some people believed that no matter how different you two were, in some ways you were certainly akin to your lover, leona. after all, you didn’t seem too concerned with the way you missed your birthday, which was on the day of your lover’s overblot, no less; in fact, though you did seem upset to some degree, you didn’t seem to be nettled at all by the concept. although such a fact wasn’t exactly something people were aware of yet, at least not until leona himself became aware of it.

— very slowly, to the point it was almost funny, leona’s head slowly turned to face you. usually he wouldn’t be bothered by sentiments like this, as his face was downturned with a chagrin frown, but after all you were his lover. and plus, it’s a little embarrassing to have overblotted on said lover’s birthday; even if you didn’t know. he wasn’t even able to spoil you the day after in apology! “in that case..write me a list of everything you want.”

— having a birthday near the start of the school year wasn’t exactly the best in terms of celebrating with new school friends; especially when on your third day of school, your friends’ housewarden raged into an overblotted monster, pretty awkward, isn’t it? but in the end, you’d completely forgotten anyway, what with your whole in-another-world dilemma, and the aforementioned overblot— oh, and that you almost got expelled on the whole day, and moving into ramshackle..certainly some tough times on your end.

— had it not been for that, you’d probably have forgotten again, having been months since the beginning of your journey in twisted wonderland; though, you’d probably still complain internally every now and then. “ahah, it already passed this year, y’know. totally forgot to mention it.” riddle looked perplexed for a second, unsure how one could forget their own birthday, before returning to his casual expression a second later. “..is that so? but when was it, even so?” “mm, third day of school.” riddle wasn’t an idiot, he remembered what happened that day. the main star was him, after all. so inevitably, he couldn’t help but feel upset that he unintentionally ruined your second day. “r-really..then..i’ll dedicate today to you, instead. tell me what you want, i’ll get it prepared; like i said previous, we take parties seriously.”

Despite Riddle thinking Deuce is a little shit, he's really proud of him for trying so hard to be an honors student. Even with how strict Riddle is, he keeps an eye on how his students are doing. Since he dosen't have a great understanding of other people's emotions based on how he was raised, he uses success as a benchmark to measure how his students are doing.

With Deuce specifically he sees him studying late at night ((not past curfew but close to it. Otherwise he would have his head)) and struggling. Once or twice he saw him crying or yelling with frustration, but decided to give him space since he knows he isn't particularly good at emotional support.

When Riddle heard Deuce got the highest grade for the test he was studying for though, he held an unbirthday party for him. When Deuce went back to his dorm afterwards, he found an expensive looking pen decorated with chicks and eggs and a letter congratulating him on his good work.

Riddle does this for all of his students who struggle with their grades but improve

Twst boys reactions to your nervous habits

Riddle

Riddle didn’t think much of your lip biting until you two started dating. He noticed that you would chew on your bottom lip whenever your schoolwork began to pile up. You would bite your lip until it was sore and started to bleed.

A particularly difficult test was coming up and your lip could barely handle the stress. Riddle went from gently poking your cheek to flicking your forehead to get you to stop. Despite his efforts, you continued to bite your lip. A concerned Riddle finally leaned in and pecked your bottom lip.

“Tell me which part you’re struggling with and I’ll walk you through it. Don’t pout. I might reward you with another kiss if you focus during this study session.”

Leona

You paced constantly. It was the only way you could comfortably work out your thoughts and begin to decompress from a long, stressful week. Leona’s observant eyes would watch you pace back and forth without missing a beat.

You were nervously pacing while Leona lied down on his bed. Watching you pace until your feet hurt made Leona’s skin crawl. He grabbed you by the arm and tugged you onto his chest. Leona wrapped his arms around you and sighed.

“That’s enough pacing for one day. I can’t get a wink of sleep while your stompin’ around. Stop squirming and cuddle me… while we’re here you might as well tell me what’s wrong.”

Trey

Trey had a suspicion that you were picking your skin. He never pried but noticed that you only wore shirts with sleeves and would constantly pull them down. His suspicions were confirmed on a hot summers day when you were forced to wear a short sleeve shirt. The sleeves of your shirt lifted up and Trey could see the small scars littering your arm. You quickly pulled your sleeves down and lowered your shoulders to hide yourself from him.

Trey clicked his tongue and gently held your shoulders. He rubbed up and down your arms while he rested his chin on your head.

“You don’t need to hide yourself from me. You’re beautiful. Yes, even with your scars. I know that it bothers you but we’ll figure something out okay?”

It's his own little way to show how much he loves his sweetie: you<3 if you don't like sweets he'll bake other thingies just for you! and would even ask you to help him with that, so you guys can spend more time together and being a silly little couple in love<3

── one of his ways to show how much he loves you is taking care of you. trey knows that you're old enough to take care of yourself, but it doesn't mean he can't send you little reminders!! trey would be sooo worried about you, for sure! he'll send you something like: "good morning, my love. have you eaten already? i'm bringing over some sweets to you, okay?" or please, remember to don't overwork yourself today. i'm really proud of you"

── he knows what you need even before you even know it!! he has younger siblings, so trey knows when something is wrongs. whenever you're upset he'll take care of you and make you feel better right away! he'll bring you to a comfortable place, stay close to you and hug you -if you feel comfortable for it. if not, trey would lend you a shoulder to cry on or just rest your head for a bit to recharge.

Wherein Riddle’s younger sibling is dating Floyd, who is part of Riddle’s “students to avoid” list. As a solution, you try to hide you and Floyd’s relationship from him

This is part one!!

- Look, after Riddle's overbolt, he realized that it wasn't just him who was affected by his mother's manipulation, but you were affected by it too

-During your childhood, he sort of failed to be a good big brother in order to follow his mother’s rules, but now that he’s come to his senses, he’s gonna try to make up for the lost time

-He’s trying his best your honor

-Now, I don’t think he would be those overprotective brother at first, but have you seen the NRC students?? While some of them are nice, like Kalim, some of them well…really get on his nerves (Floyd)

-While Ace is from his dorm, he’s one of the students that Riddle can’t really stand sometimes. His list of students that he doesn’t particually like just had to include your so called lover, Floyd Leech

-When you first started dating Floyd, you didn’t want your relationship to be public because you were scared of how Riddle would react

-We know that Riddle is a changed man after his overbolt, so you didn’t really worry what he would do to you, but rather what he would do to Floyd

-Floyd was upset that he couldn't act like he was dating you in public, but he respected your decisions

-He did mention it to Jade and Azul; he just forgot to mention the part where it wasn’t supposed to be known to the public

Props to you for keeping your relationship a secret from Riddle for 2 weeks. No, but you made sure to keep this hidden—you told a few friends(that weren’t from Heartslabyul)about it, you kept his contact name the same, and you even timed how long you could look at Floyd during lunch before it got too obvious.

On the other hand, Floyd did everything to try to make you flustered around your brother. Two days into your relationship, he tried to hug you after basketball practice, but you moved out of the way. The next day, when you ate lunch with the Heartslabyul group, he tried putting his arm around you, but you swatted his arm away and pretended as if he was shooing a bee. It was a long week.

Today, you were both eating lunch on the bench in the school's garden. You lied, saying you were going to eat lunch with your friends, while Floyd lied about having to help Azul again.

"Ne~ Angel fish, you know that goldfish has to know eventually," Floyd says.

"Mmm... I don't think so," you pout, "you've seen how he is whenever you 'play' with him. It doesn't make it any better that he absolutely loathes you."

"So you're never going to tell him?" he asks, feeding you some of his own lunch while pouting.

You take the time while chewing to think about when the appropriate time is to tell Riddle about it.

"I'm sorry, Floyd, we could be married with kids and I still wouldn't be able to tell them."

Floyd suddenly had a big grin on his face. "Marriage and kids, huh?" and you thwacked his forehead. "In your dreams," you said, laughing.

“what in the twisted wonderland is going on in here?!”

You and Floyd turn your heads to see an annoyed Riddle approaching the two of you. At that point all you could think about is how screwed you are.

"….", Ace was silent, as he got up from his seat and headed towards the door, searching for you. "What is their problem? I was just speaking the truth." Ace was thinking as he looked in every classroom, seeing if he could spot you. Last place for Ace to check was the library, since he had no luck with the classrooms. Ace entered into the library, and saw that no one was inside, yet he heard the sound of sobbing, and turned back around. Ace ventured further into the library, spotting you, sitting down against one of the bookshelves with your legs against your chest, hiding your face. Ace sat down next to you, leaning against the bookshelf. "Are you okay?", Ace said as he kept staring at you with a worried expression. "AM I OKAY?! NO I AM NOT OKAY!!!!", You screamed as Ace looked at you, shocked. "I KNOW I HAVE NO MAGIC AND I KNOW I SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE IN THIS WORLD, BUT I'M DOING MY BEST TO FULFILL MY ROLE HERE AT NRC. "MAGICLESS HUMAN, MAGICLESS HUMAN", I'M SICK AND TIRED OF EVERYONE CALLING ME THAT, AND I THOUGHT AFTER RIDDLE'S OVERBLOT, YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE STOPPED CALLING ME THAT AND CONSIDER ME A FRIEND, BUT APPARENTLY I'M STILL THE MAGICLESS USELESS HUMAN TO YOU!!!" Your voice echoed throughout the whole library, while Ace took it everything you said, mouth agape. Once you finished, you turned away and wiped your tears with your sleeve. Ace felt so guilty, as he regretted saying what he said before. Ace wrapped his arms around you, with his chin nuzzling your head. "I'm sorry Y/N, I should have never called you that. You're not useless. You're amazing. You helped me when I was kicked out of Heartslabyul and defended me when Riddle collared us at the unbirthday party." You felt Ace's arms squeeze you tighter as you felt a wetness on the top of your head, as you realized Ace was crying as well. "You also helped us during the overblot, and saved Riddle. You're not the magicless human anymore, you are Y/N, the most amazing person I have met and my best friend." You listen to Ace's words, and a smile appeared on your face, as you lifted your arms up, and wrapped them around Ace's torso, hugging him closer. "Thank you, Ace. I forgive you, and I will be happy to help you with your homework as well." , you said with a laugh. Sounds of laughter came from Ace, as he continued to hug you while positioning one of his hands to the top of your head, giving you a comforting head pat.

📡 _a/n. i think that the first years trying to impress the reader bc they’re crushing on them but just failing miserably while the reader is mayy or may not aware of it all is just like really funny to me;, so like here ^-^!!.! ( i could only do these two because it was getting long enough..others will come soon hopefully..i mean can you believe i started writing this at the beginning of the month?? god the writers block is really getting to me 😭 )

a. trappola

— the time..the time had come. ace had finally pulled himself together, clenching his fist dramatically in a matter that had deuce sighing in second hand embarrassment. ace, had finally decided to admit to himself that he liked you. maybe it did take him a week or two of trying to ignore the way his heartbeat quickened when you were around and the way he, for some reason ( in air quotes, says the rest of the first years ), felt flustered whenever you complimented him in some way, like when you call him cool as you watch him from the sidelines during basketball practice. ( floyd absolutely makes fun of him for it btw. )

— seriously, he thought he was over with relationships ever since his girlfriend from middle school, yet here he is daydreaming about you during his classes. for just a split second he considers asking azul for a contract to get a date with you, but then he remembers the last time he signed a contract with him, and cringes at the idea of you scolding him again for it—wouldn’t do good for his pride. guess he’ll have to suck it up and do it, in the name of getting to call you his super cool amazing fantastic lover. at least he has the experience, right? albeit he did end up ghosting her, but he thinks he had his own reasons—and even so, he wouldn’t do that to you, his feelings for you far surpass his feelings from that middle school relationship.

— maybe he was putting less effort into that middle school relationship than he originally thought. but nay, he must put in the effort into this for you, or else you may never call him cool during basketball practice again! so sevens forgive him for being so cringely romantical with you. aka he started teasing you more often and being more clingy ( and asking for homework answers more often since he spent all that class time thinking about you ). but unfortunately for him he is not aware that you are aware!! so he’s flustered once more when you start teasing him back and asking if he likes you.

— he firmly denies it while trying to teasingly ask you why you ask and if you yourself are into him, but in the end he just can’t do it and tries, and fails, to change the subject, but you just go with it to not embarrass him further. okay, so. maybe he should be ‘cringe’ with his romantic pursuits again.. if only to have reason to be able to have his gaze on you and not berate himself internally for being a dork, to hold your hand knowing it’s because your lovers, and to give you kisses with you reciprocating..

— dang it, he can only hope you’ll accept his feelings by the end of it.

— ( little does he know you’re already planning several dates and a confession of your own in case he can’t get it across. tell him to ignore the way the other heartslabyul members make fun and tease him now and then, and how trey seems to be baking treats for an occasion he’s not aware is to happen sooner or later. )

— plan ‘ignore the more-than-friends feelings he had for you’ failed. now sebek can’t help but be overdramatic about it, considering it disservice to his servitude to malleus. then he remembers the fae prince’s casual remark about his pleasantry in regards to his friendship ( sebek would rather it being something more, ) with you, and he thinks to himself. he recalls what he first thought of you, a mere weak human who he believed had practically insulted malleus’s bloodline when you referred to him as ‘tsunotarou’. he’s honestly astounded by how much his feelings for you have developed over time.

— he’s unconsciously starting to memorize these little things about you, how your expression changes even slightly when faced when certain scenarios, how you’re always so willing to listen to his ramblings of malleus’s accomplishments and other things like how prideful he is of his duties as a knight, and commentary on books he’s read. you’ve even started to pick up some of said books, listening to his recommendations intently. he seriously can’t help it as it fills his heart with pride to know you take those words of his to heart, and he can’t help but feel giddy every time he remembers that you actually listen.

— slowly, you may notice how he starts to flex his good qualities even more so than usual. consistently noting his more than exceptional abilities as a knight and in academics, still reveling in the way you’re so interested in his words and even indulge by giving your own commentary every now and then. in fact, he even starts to refer to you less as a ‘mere human’. you can recall a few times he slips a little and even compliments you, saying things like ‘dear human’ and the like, but those are few and far between, so it’s best to just appreciate when he refers to you simply by your name instead.

— of course that doesn’t mean you ignore it—you don’t particularly point out what he says, for you’re sure he’ll become embarrassed and do it less often, and you find it quite cute so you’d much rather that not be the case. instead, you reciprocate and compliment him in return, which no doubt leaves him especially flustered by what you say. he puts in the effort to determine how to court you, writing to his parents to ask them for advice on the subject. he does manage to pull through, but he’ll always end up the one with pinkened cheeks by the end of it.

— after all, how was he to know that behind the scenes, you were asking the rest of the diasomnia crew for advice in courting him? he’ll never get why they seem to giggle when he brings you up, and tease him for sevens knows why.

— ( unless you bring it up to him when either one of you finally confesses; then he becomes embarrassed yet again ( unlikely to be the last time it’ll happen—he’s quite easy to fluster, i’d say ). )
