levi ackerman doesn’t understand flowers.
he’ll never understand why people like gardening so much- to the point where they’d kneel in the dirty soil. it’s filthy.
one day, he receives a potted sunflower as a gift. at first, levi’s confused- and pissed. he glares at the plant after placing it on his windowsill, but it doesn’t say anything in return. go figure.
it isn’t until gabi comes by and sees his near-dead houseplant and threatens to throw away all his tea sets that he starts watering it. for whatever reason, the stupid plant grows beautifully- giving levi no reason to dislike it.

a fortnight later, jean stops by levi’s place to invite him out. his face is a mixture of shock and amusement as he notices the cheerful, saturated flower that sticks out like a sore thumb in levi’s otherwise plain home.
“captain, do you give your flower fertiliser?”
silence.
“what the fuck is that?”

levi fertilises his stupid flower. his stupid flower grows, and grows, and grows. gabi is delighted to see the tall sunflower in levi’s ‘sad home’, as she calls it.
eventually, said flower grows so much that levi has to repot it in his yard. it stands guard outside his small home.
he doesn’t hate his stupid flower.
he names his stupid flower zoë.
he grows attached to his stupid flower.
levi ackerman thinks he understands flowers now. maybe just a little bit.

ever since erwin made a comment about being a creepy kid, i’ve been wondering what he meant. i always see erwin when he was young as being like eren in that he does not have an off button, like he is always Very Serious about Everything, but way WAY more socially aware than eren, almost to a weird degree. he knows times to keep his mouth shut and what to say and when.
like maybe he knew he could get what he wanted by manipulating people because he was smarter than everyone around him but he wasn’t really into self-serving. he saw things no one else saw and was fascinated with the outside world and knew that people were going to have to sacrifice a lot to capture that world.
idealistic, very determined, kind of severe. not a bad kid or a selfish one without guilt or remorse. just very end-justifies-the-means, very slytherin.

Levi mumbling as he’s getting ready for work and you notice he’s irritated and angry for some reason so you walk over to him and tie his cravat for him then fix up his collar and give him a little kiss on his cheek. He says nothing but he starts blushing. His anger and irritation seems to be gone.

And thank you anons for those questions, but the simple answer is: probably no but who knows. Isayama had all the time in the world to do that, he didn't because Levi simply doesn't have a love interest. Believe it or not, some people can be single, not every character needs a love interest. Levi doesn't have one, let it go.
If he does, than he does but it isn't Isayamas way of writing and I don't think it fits Levi as a character. Also if Levi does in fact get a wife or anything like that, I better not see any hate on Isayama or Levi, this is fictional media not a political debate.
I am starting to think that people aren't even excited about the fact that we are getting more on Levi's childhood, they just want thier ship to be proved or a ship they hate to be disproved and both are equally bad. We really have to let this be.
The story is about Levi and his childhood, we get to see more behind his character and that's something we should focus on insted of gripping at every last straw for ships or a love interest confirmation.

the fact that levi describes his mother as an elegant woman is so sweet yet so sad
hes a mommy's boy and i know he would try and help her with anything if she were still alive. helping her get above ground and financially stable? check. visits her in between work and expeditions? check. joins her for dinner sometimes and helps with the cleaning up afterwards? check. all of this- especially since it was shown that he had stolen back a teacup i think she had given away while in the underground just because she liked it.
bad boy better do their relationship justice because they both deserve so much better
