🎀 once i stopped picking at the physical traits I "disliked" about my body and started appreciating what it does for me, the more i love it. if you stop stressing over your weight and do the work that makes you overall healthy, (ex: moving your body in a way that feels good to you, eating intuitively and accepting that there are no "bad" foods, meditating, journaling, and being in nature, your body will look and feel the way it's suppose to)
🎀 start looking inward and internally, stop looking for fixes externally
🎀 stop playing the victim if you want to heal and take your power back
🎀 believe in your true self. believe how God created you to be. who you are created to be is the greatest gift you can give the world
The thing that is striking me the most about this album is just how messy and human it is. She’s not holding anything back or trying to appear one way or another. She’s just letting it all out regardless of what anyone might say. She found that trying to be polished and keep all the ugly, imperfect, human stuff in to be stifling and just said fuck it I need to do this for me. This album was an exorcism for her.
PROCESSING YOUR EMOTIONS WITHOUT SUPPRESSING THEM - TECHNIQUES
this post is all about how to process emotions that we are uncomfortable with, safely and positively. Today, I’d like it if you’d try to implement at least one technique today!
REMINDERS
Remember that when you feel an emotion, it is your body communicating itself to you. Listen to your emotion, and understand.
All emotions are temporary, and will pass. But some can leave a more long term effect on us.
Having the skill of sitting through uncomfortable emotions calmly, and not let it impact our lives greatly will serve you well.
TECHNIQUES
STOP TECHNIQUE
S- Stop what you’re doing, pause all activities and shut off your brain.
T- Take a few deep breathes, continue until your focus is only on breathing deeply.
O- Observe your thoughts, your body language, any physical sensations and acknowledge them within you.
P- Proceed with any activity that may help you process this emotion. Meditation, journaling, stretching, talking to someone, etc.
ALL TECHNIQUE
A- Acknowledge, accept and alllow what you feel. Identify what emotion you feel, if you can’t, try to associate it with something. Sit in this feeling for awhile and truly accept it within you.
L- Link it to a circumstance or situation that may explain why you’re feeling this way. E.g ‘I feel so irritated lately, it may be because I’ve been eating sugary foods more’
L- Learn what this emotion may be telling you. There’s not much detail on this because only you know what your body needs/wants.
SELF EXPRESSION
Draw, write, compose music on what this feeling looks like, sounds like, maybe even their taste. This really helps go deep in your emotions, analyse it and then hopefully process it.
I NEED women to get comfortable telling folks “You’re not doing enough for me” and “I need more than what you’re capable or willing to provide.” I need my ladies to say it, mean it, and STAND on it, because that’s where your best life and best LOVE resides. It’s not selfish, it’s self preservation. Too many times, people come into our lives, leave with more than what they had, when they came, and we are left depleted and broken when they’re gone.
she’s an angel. she’s clean and she smells good. she always dresses cute and her lips r always glossy. she radiates angelic energy and attracts only lovely things. she has long, pampering morning and night routines. she works out everyday, eats healthy, and always makes sure she gets enough sleep. she does her skincare every morning and night. she’s sweet and charming and shows respect to everyone, while at the same time only allowing a sacred few to bask in her heavenly vibes. she is witty and intellectual, and always learning. she sees the good in everything. she stands up for what she believes in. her number one goal is to become the best version of herself. and of course, she knows that she is destined for happiness and success. ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
