Women need to embrace not having friends and moving independently. Having no friends doesn’t mean you lack anything, if anything it means you are at an advantage because you are the sole focus of your life and you’re not looking for approval from anyone.
Sometimes you need to walk alone and be confident alone without looking for anyone’s validation or permission.

100 Days of mindfulness: The journey to living intentionally
Decided to commit to shifting my mindset from a place of lack and take the steps to living a fulfilling life. Usually I try to plan every detail but this time the only rule is to practice at least one mindful activity a day. I decided to add a date so that I can feel like I followed through with something.
Day 1
Defined what mindfulness means to me:
Slowing down and being present in the moment without getting caught up in the distractions around me.
This means paying attention to my thoughts, feelings and surroundings without getting caught up in them
Being aware of my inner experiences and the world around me in a non judgmental way.
Defined the life areas I want to incorporate more mindful practices:
Finances
Wellness
Career
Spiritual
Decided on what I wanted to gain from this experience:
Find balance, improve consistency and develop healthy habits
Improve my relationship with myself and learn to appreciate life
Created a list of ideas for mindful activities:
Journalling
Reading more
Monthly challenges
Made a commitment to follow through and take the steps to living a fulfilling life. So cheers to self love and taking things 1 day at a time!

10/20/23 Things I did to help myself.... what did I have to change? Seems like everything some days.
Healthy Tips
Realistically evaluated my eating habits. It was either not enough or too much, no in-between. That was part of my problem.
Most restaurant meals are too much, even if you think you are ordering the 'healthy option'
It is not normal to gorge yourself on appetizers, drinks, & a giant entree. Choose a moderation mindset: Pick one or 2. Share an app. One drink. Pack half your entree 'to go'.
Our society is driven by consumerism. I had to take steps to stop that. Meet people to do activities, not to consume things.
Water- I shoot for 200 oz of water a day.
I take low cal beverages with me... nearly everywhere. Tea, coffee, sparkling water.
Try all kinds of different tea.
Meals focus on protein and produce. If you are still hungry- eat another portion of meat and produce.
Try to eat as unprocessed as possible. They add stuff to our food to make our brains light the F up. It isn't natural and devastating to people like me who are especially susceptible. Often when I have issues (yesterday!) It is because I had a processed item.
Sometimes I add a fiber supplement to my drink. Adds calories yes but I don't worry about it.
Try to only have 1 sweet thing a day. The later in the day, the better. I will actually be shooting for every 3 days or so.
Some of my craving issues were blood sugar related because I was pre-diabetic and had PCOS- which has an insulin problem.
If you haven't eaten, plan and eat a healthy meal that has a substantial amount of protein.
If you have eaten already, try to distract yourself with a task. If you are still truly hungry 20 minutes later- have another bit of protein & veggies.
Walk daily. But don't count it as your cardio.
If you work at a desk, get a standing desk and try to work up to standing daily.
Cardio 3x a week. Whatever you enjoy. Yes, you have to enjoy it. If you don't, you haven't found your activity yet.
Weight training 3x a week. Lift all the weights you can, as often as you can manage. You are now in training. For life!
Supplements- figure out what works for you. I am currently on: Sam-E, NAC, Nomorbidity, Alkemi, allergy stuff, and some other stuff I rotate in.
Read books that help your mindset. Atomic habits, mindset books. 10 mins a day, make it a habit to improve yourself.
Watch YouTube videos that build your motivation and determination.
Things can get better. I also utilize therapy! There is no shame in needing help!
I am becoming a healthier person and every choice reflects that.

so how to have her mindset?
1-start taking care of yourself: give yourself love and attention, take time for yourself to take care of yourself and take care of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally.
2-develop good self-esteem: learn to accept and value yourself. Compliment yourself every day in front of the mirror. Don't settle for less than what you think you deserve.
3-more authentic self: don't let the criticism and judgments of others hold you back, don't be afraid to be yourself and stay true to yourself.
4-completely change your mindset: adopt the mindset if it's possible for others it's possible for me and a queen doesn't chase, she attracts. replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts. meditate, read personal development books and listen to podcasts.
5-become more selfish: put your happiness first, put yourself first without feeling guilty. learn to say no to things that do not correspond to your values.
6-identify toxic relationships and put an end to them: become aware of toxic relationships that drag you down or are toxic for your well-being emotional. it could be people who manipulate you, who criticize you or something else. identify these relationships and consider taking steps to detach yourself from them.
7-start to establish boundaries: learn to set clear boundaries and to follow them enforce respect. identify the behaviors or situations that bother you and determine what you are ready to accept or not. communicate your limits and stay away from situations that do not suit you.

198 today. Don't think about the number, it is just data.
I am pretty confident yesterday was good. I would have liked a workout tho.
Today is a new day to succeed.

Staying positive. Working on reducing distractions.
But lord knows, if I followed my brain, I would read nothing but diet related books and watch videos etc. But it that helping or hindering?
Somehow I don't think focusing on food is helping so I am trying to adjust my external inputs to non food related activities, videos and books.
It is hard when my brain automatically redirects to searching how so and so lost weight, how to break a plateau, etc. Obviously information is not the answer, action is. But it also has to be consistent & sustainable.
Daily habits need to adjust over time to avoid rebounding.
As I know too well, exercise can't be too much or more recovery time will be needed.
Relax and adjust.
By September, I could be 150 pounds if I wanted and could build those habits.
So, what can I do today that will encourage success? 🤔
What can I do to encourage self love?
Stress reduction?
Think about it and di those things. Whatever you need for today is ok. If today is not a hard workout day, maybe some stretching and a gentle walk.
Maybe a bath?
Healthy choices. Protein. Veggies.
Focus on school/work.... but allow yourself some down time.
Give yourself as many hugs as you need. 🤗
