How long does it take to form a new habit?
According to recent research from the University College of London, motivational speaker and Bestselling Author Robin Sharma mentioned that habit creation takes 66 continuous days to hardwire our brains and free our willpower.
They split these 66 days into three roughly equal parts.
1st 20 Days: Destruction Stage- Very Hard Time
2nd -20 Days: Confusion Stage-Thinking To Leave
3rd-20 Days: Integration Stage-Automaticity
Habit formation is not a one-size-fits-all process.
After reading many books, I've learned that forming new habits varies from person to person, taking anywhere from 4 to 90 days based on intention and interest.

Not sure what to say about today except that work broke my brain.
Between the incessant emails and the nagging pets, I got stressed out.
In particular, I got an audit error on something I went over with my mentor and thought I understood 100%. Arg.
I got stressed. I switched gears from coffee to tea, did some aromatherapy stuff.
It is hard to change your ways after 20 years of stress eating at work.
But today, instead of gorging myself on candy or whatever, I did celery with taijin or whatever that stuff is.
I am about to make dinner.
I read for a bit after work and took time to pet dogs n kitties.
It is now winter here. I have to remember that if I hold true to my goals, I could be another 50 pounds down by spring thaw.
If nothing else.... I changed what got done today and I am happy with that.
