There's a certain type of despair in finding out that the writer doesn't like or try to understand the character they're writing about and either takes it as an opportunity to bash them or make them incredibly one dimensional

He blushes a bright red, coughing into the crook of his arm as he quickly diverts his gaze. He hopes you don't notice his fidgeting hands, which are increasingly becoming clammy or how his lip quivered slightly. Spoiler alert; you do! He attempts to steal a couple more gazes, unbeknownst to him, it's not subtle at all and only adds to the fuel of his fuming face, heart quickening with each each fail attempt.

Gives you a sheepish smile, a small tint of red coating his cheeks from mild embarrassment. He gives you a little nod of his head, a form of an apology as he gazes away. He's a lot better at sneaking glances afterward, careful not to be caught by the intensity of your gaze again. All the while, that smile is still tugging in his lips as he nervously rubs the back of his neck.

Trey Clover, Jade Leech, Jack Howl, Silver

He has absolutely no shame whatsoever. If you catch him staring, he's going to send you a cheeky grin as he continues to admire you from afar. He even sends you a small wave, a teasing gesture with his grin spreading further, going from corner to corner whilst he takes in your reactions. He may even take it as an excuse to approach and talk to you properly; evident playfulness and genuine affection within his mischievous gaze.

Nearly let's out a loud squeak when you catch him, almost making a scene right there in front of his peers. He's covering his incredibly reddened face with his hands as he faces away from you, hoping to just disappear. He wants nothing else but to curl up in the corner and sob:(( intentionally avoids you for a while because he doesn't want to risk you being upset at him for staring

Is busy comforting his older brother the best of his ability; said older brother is curled up in his blanket, chewing nervously on his nail and cheek; his face flushes to a cherry hue as he tries to forget what happened but each time leads him to get even more embarrassed.

he stays with you. he sees the blood drip from each pastel-colored flower, noticing the way each cough from your now frail body pains you with every breath, and stays by your side. he may not know how to help, but the least he could do was wrap his own arms around you in comfort, right? he sits you down as you choke out the few petals that had still been stuck within your throat as a gentle hand innocently caresses up and down your back. leaning your head on his shoulder, he lets you rest yourself against him as if any form of sympathy would alleviate the pain in your chest. he asks no questions from you. he only wants to surround you in feelings of comfort.

he develops the disease too. he sees your body doubled over in a frantic mess, tissues of blood and piles of flowers now scattered around your feet. and before he finally processes anything, he starts to feel a sharp pain in his own chest. one that felt like a million thorns growing within his lungs. he wasn't the one you loved after all. it was apparent now. and while the pain in your throat was caused by your love for someone else, his pain was caused by the lack of feelings you held for him. it was as if the world had blasted him with a sign that said, "congratulations, they're in pain because of their love for someone else, which isn't you, so you get to suffer as well!" even if you had found yourself healed from this sickness, the young man discovers that his ending is all the same. you did not love him. nor would you ever. so he continues hiding his own feelings for you if only to not burden you further.

I wanna see more of the Twst cast to be nice/protective to Eyeless!Yuu. Imagine Trey giving them treats all the time and Vil trying to doll them up bc “even if you’re eyeless, you still are beautiful in other ways.” Malleus too, his fondness of Yuu grows even larger bc Yuu genuinely can’t judge him for his appearances and only appreciates who he is (Lilia would also like to adopt Yuu), same goes with Epel. Sebek lowering his voice around Yuu bc he doesn’t want their eyes to bleed due to nervousness. Leona threatens his dorm members to not do anything bad to Yuu, Kalim throwing parties to let them have fun even without their eyes and Adeuce, Jack and Epel being super overprotective.

OMG, this is so cute to think about and I 100% see this happening when it comes to the rest interacting with Eyeless-Yuu. Eyeless-Yuu would be surprised at how protective others will be with them for a bit {mainly since they never had a genuine interaction where they were cared for before their eyes were taken}.

Sebek lowering his voice around Eyeless-Yuu is a cute and good thing since Eyeless-Yuu can get nervous {sad/scared} easily when it comes to being {unintelligent in Sebek's case} yelled at by anyone {*cough* the noble *cough*}. Malleus would be grateful for Eyeless-Yuu willingly being around him even if they can't see him {so would Lilia and he'd probably tell stories about baby Malleus}, Silver and Eyeless-Yuu would definitely cuddle/sleep together in random spots

Vil doing Eyeless-Yuu's makeup is adorable to think about along with how Epel would be protective of Eyeless-Yuu {he'd probably carry them around to slightly show off his strength lol}, Rook would definitely complement Eyeless-Yuu or just silently roam around them daily.

I definitely see Leona placing down rules in his dorm when it comes to Eyeless-Yuu's safety, Ruggie would keep Leona updated about Eyeless-Yuu's treatment in the dorm along with Jack who's be their bodyguard of sorts unless Eyeless-Yuu asks him.

Ace and Deuce along with Grim are the main ones with Eyeless-Yuu 24/7 when possible {of course they give Yuu space when they need it or tell them to} and mainly just help them out in classes. {mainly PE since I like to think they'd have Eyeless-Yuu sit with them on their broom, Vargas maybe lets Eyeless-Yuu hang out with the others but not need to participate unless they want to}

Kalim would definitely throw parties or "small" celebrations when Eyeless-Yuu visits and just {nicely} drag them around the dorm or on the magic carpet. Jamil would keep them safe in case Kalim's slight recklessness gets them hurt and makes small treats/meals for them like Trey.

Azul would definitely have Jade and Floyd keep tabs on Eyeless-Yuu {he'd probably be a little thankful Eyeless-Yuu couldn't see his chubby child self from way back in and would definitely get embarrassed or flustered if someone were to describe the photo to them}

Riddle, Cater and Trey would be around Eyeless-Yuu the most when at the dorm and have Ace and Deuce keep them updated on them. Same with Ortho who'd keep their health or emotional state updated and probably have them hang them out with Idia to get him out of his room and socialize a bit.

a/n: I wanted to post a little something for Pocky day! I won’t be able to post anything for requests because I’m busy as hell right now with group projects but I’ll get back to it once everything’s done and I’ve rested!

Purposefully breaks the pocky stick just right before your lips touch and teasingly eat it in front of you looking at you with smug eyes, you jokingly whine to them after eating your own half that he’s not being fair and he gives you a quick peck on the lips as compensation and enjoys watching your flustered face.

Vil, Lilia, Trey, Jade, Jamil

Breaks it in half and makes you beg for the kiss, they end up giving it to you during a random time of the day to catch you by surprise and see you take a few moments to take in what just happened, probably laughs at you for a bit after seeing you blush so hard (cough Ace and Floyd cough).

Cater, Ace, Floyd, Rook, Malleus, Silver (sort of), Ruggie

Accidentally breaks the pocky after getting too flustered when your faces get extremely close, apologizing many times with a face that matches the red roses in Heartslabyul’s rose garden. While they sit there trying to calm their heart down, you quickly press your lips onto their cheeks and wave goodbye, leaving them frozen.

Riddle, Epel, Deuce, Sebek, Jack, Azul, Idia

Makes you beg for the kiss but ends up giving it to you anyways less than 5 minutes after because you wouldn’t stop looking at them with puppy eyes, practically lifting you off the ground with the kiss.

You have probably gotten sick a whole hack of a lot in your little life

you just didn't know what it was

all you knew was that something was not right with your body.

First to notice is obv Grim

he does his best to take care of you, but he knows close to nothing about human biology or anything like that

Grim ends up taking you to school for help.

Imagen the sight it was for other students

a small child with a messy snot-covered face that has a slight red hue to it, eyes puffy from crying and constantly coughing and sniffling

and a fire cat monster thing panicking next to them.

You two end up walking past the meeting room for the HouseWardens, as the meeting was just ending.

Riddle is silently panicking while trying to check you over while scolding the both of you but mostly grim for coming to school.

Leona doesn't give a fuck and just walks back to his dorm to sleep and skip the rest of the school day.

Azul hands you his spare handkerchief to wipe yourself off with, to which Riddle sighs and takes said handkerchief to wipe your face for you.

Kalim panics a little but tries to cheer you up by handing you one of his bracelets to play with,

Vil just goes,

"ew."

and walks to his next class.

Idia does the same as Vil, if he's even there,

Malleus- or Lilia more likely, would pick you up and take you to the infirmary while rubbing circles into your back.

The first years will prob visit you first,

Ace would bring cards so you won't be bored while you're in there.

Deuce would try to make you the soup that his mom used to make for him when he was sick, but he failed and Trey ended up helping and even making a couple of your favorite goodies for you too.

Jack has a few little siblings so he knows how to cheer up sick little kids, he'll prob bring you a children's book that would help his siblings when they were sick.

Epel brings you his family's apple juice that you love so much.

Sebek doesn't go anywhere your sick ass, what if he gets sick and accidentally gets Waka-sama sick?!?

Cater also wouldn't come but would send his good wishes with one of his dorm members.

Ruggie would bring you some donuts.

Floyd would come and try to annoy hang out with you but Jade would drag him away so you can get your rest.

Rook does a quick in-and-out check-in on you, he'll see how your doin', say a few fancy words, and leave.

Jamil is another one that doesn't go anywhere near you, and keeps Kalim away too.

Ortho would drop by to say hello and give you some advice he looked up on how to deal with sickness.

Silver is taken to visit you by Lilia, he gives you some words of encouragement, then passes out on one of the other beds.

Malleus would come later at night when your fast asleep, he'll bundle you up in your blanket like a little burrito and hold you for a little while, maybe take you on a walk around the campus for some fresh air.

Crowley doesn't even know your sick unit like 3 weeks after your all better.

Btw the ppl who check in on you the most are, Riddle, the ADeuce duo, Lilia, Kalim would try but like I said Jamil would keep him away, Malleus, and Grim is there permanently by your side the entire time.

Everyone in the cafeteria screamed upon the sight before them, panicking, jumping and even running away from the sight that had frighten them.

Grim screamed so loudly that he had floated high with he's face paled.

Riddle just stood frozen of what he had done. Usually he has no mercy upon collaring misbehave students but this...

Ace and Deuce screamed aswell, jumping off their sits at the scene in the cafeteria.

Trey shouted, horrified at the sight before him.

Cater fainted a second later after what had happened.

Leona and Ruggie stared at the sight near the Heartslabyul boy's table, staring at the results with dread written on their faces.

Jack dropped he's sandwhich when he had shouted like everyone else in the area.

Azul coughed out some ink at the scene beholding to him, being thankful that he didnt want Riddle's unique magic.

The tweels just stared like Leona and Ruggie but their expressions are unreadable.

Kalim and Jamil jumped from the scared they had witnessed, with the former screaming he's head off while the latter put him behind he's back out of instinct.

Vil let out a small shout at how horrendous the sight is, standing up from he's sit to back away further from the scene.

As Rook gasped in horror, Epel did like everyone else in the room as both him and the vice dorm back away as well.

Ortho let out vent that is similar to a scared and mortified gasp as he's brother's tablet had let out a sound similar to that of a sheer scream from a person going through a haunted house.

Lilia was silance but no one cant deny the slight horror on he's face as Sebek had dropped he's fork and screamed out more loudly that he's voice is the most loudest.

As for Silver...

But wait!

What could be horrifying to have scared the whole cafeteria?

Aswell as the school's staff that had come to see the commotion, only to wear the same horrified, grim, mortified and feared expressions as their students.

"Prefect Riddle Rosehearts!" Shouted Crowley as he step forward "Wha.." he had to look away from the scene "What is the meaning of this!?"

"I...I..." the said prefect waa beyond words.

Why?

Because your body was limp on the floor with the collar that he had casted for you is laying on the floor next to you.

Because your head was on the floor....

Very slowly, all heads (that werent "decapitated") turn to the body of the victim. Many people held onto breaths they didnt know that they held, shaking and trembling to what will happen next, but mostly watch in anticipation to know that they had think up wasnt just....made...up....

"You guys..."

Many people froze when the headless body had suddenly moved upwards in a eerily slow motion, yet it swayed abit which had quickly alarmed everyone.

Crowly, Riddle and the others near the scene backed away as your body slowly walk towards your head, picking it up with your face still unseen by them.

"Do you really think..."

Eyes widen and mouths dropped at the sight of face revealed to them, still blinking and moving with you smirking at them pkayfully at their 'funny' reactions to your 'little' trick.

"That a collar would tame little old me?? Hahahahhahaha! How funny"

"What?" You bluntly asked them as you put your head under your arm "Never seen a head before?"

Barbenheimer: Twisted Wonderland

Did they see Barbie or Oppenheimer?

Riddle saw neither just because he's not a fan of movies. However, Cater convinced him to see Barbie and he actually enjoyed it a lot.

Trey saw Barbie because both of his siblings wanted to go. He also went to Oppenheimer by himself because it looked somewhat interesting, but he liked Barbie more.

Cater saw Barbie because she's a girls girl of course. He originally just wanted to see it because he thought it would be cute, but he had an absolute breakdown over the ending.

Ace saw Oppenheimer because that's the more "manly" one, but he lowkey understood none of it. He only went to Barbie because some friends (*cough* Yuu *cough*) dragged him along. He'll never admit that he liked it.

Deuce saw Oppenheimer because he was interested in the more technological aspects like the bomb mechanics, but it wasn't his thing. He doesn't go see Barbie just because it's not his prefered genre, but he still respects it for what it is.

Leona sees Barbie because he's chill like that, plus Cheka wanted to go with him. He purposely avoids Oppenheimer because it sounded boring to him and he's not gonna pay for a nap when he can sleep at home.

Ruggie saw both. He was Oppenheimer first with the intent of watching Barbie after as a way to cheer himself up, but he cried more for Barbie and regretted not watching it first instead.

Jack saw neither because he's not the type to watch movies at a theater, but he does plan on watching Barbie with his sister once it comes out on DVD or a streaming service.

Azul claims he watched Oppenheimer to look cool, but he lowkey went and saw Barbie. He cried the most out of anyone and refuses to admit it.

Jade saw both. He admits to liking Oppenheimer more, but he appreciates the message and story of Barbie, and the vibes were much better in his opinion.

Floyd saw Barbie. Jade tried to convince him to watch Oppenheimer as well, but Barbie was more fun than a movie about "some dumb bomb" according to Floyd.

Kalim saw Barbie and started sobbing the moment it got even a little sad. Also, Allen was his favorite character and he refuses to elaborate when asked.

Jamil saw Oppenheimer by himself and Barbie with Kalim. He enjoyed Oppenheimer more, but that might also be because Kalim wasn't there to talk throughout the entire movie.

Vil saw Barbie because of course he did. He was probably attended the premier and had a great time watching. He did contemplate watching Oppenheimer, but decided against it upon hearing reviews.

Rook saw both. He enjoyed the story of Oppenheimer more, but he did like the vibes and messaging from Barbie. He probably liked Ken a little too much and Vil probably needs to stage an intervention of some kind.

Epel saw Oppenheimer for the same reason as Ace. However, Vil forced him to watch Barbie as well, and he did end up liking it more than he thought he would. Unlike Ace, he has no problem admitting this.

Idia saw Oppenheimer for the fun techie stuff like Deuce, and saw Barbie for the fun girlypop vibes like Cater. By saw, I, of course mean he made Ortho bring his tablet to both so that he didn't have to leave his room.

Ortho saw both because of the reasons above. He enjoyed Barbie more, but he thought both were really good and did a great job of achieving what they set out to do.

Malleus saw Barbie because Lilia dragged him along. It wasn't his favorite movie ever, but he appreciate it and learned a lot about human culture because of it.

Lilia saw Barbie because Cater and Kalim told him all about it and he had to see it for himself. Naturally, he drags Malleus, Silver, and Sebek along.

Silver saw both but fell asleep halfway through Oppenheimer because it started getting boring. He almost fell asleep during Barbie, but Lillia kept him awake.

Sebek saw both. Lilia dragged him along to see Barbie, which he liked fine, and he saw Oppenheimer with Silver, which he liked more.

At the end of his teasing he slightly gets quieter, puts his head in the crook of your neck and then hugs you tighter while you both were cuddling and mumbles a quiet 'i love you' to you. You almost couldn't hear him from how quiet he was.

You knew that he was gonna force you to cuddle him alot now because of this. And you don't mind. (Until Divus yeets your as---)

Kalim Al-Asim

How was he not the first person to say i love you?

Either you said i love you right after you both got into a relationship or maybe just because he didn't think he needed too.

He always showers you with gifts, says how amazing you are, and tightly hugs you as a greeting when he sees you in the hallways. (Floyd? Lol)

So hearing you say that brought tears to him. But that doesn't mean he'll go out fully being emotional like crying.

He does smile and hugs you and puts his head on your neck.

Normally he would be a bit shy, but hearing those words gave him a boost to do it.

And thats when he lets the tears out.

hi hi! i love your series on twst characters in our world sm <33 could i request them realizing that this is what it felt like when you were sent to their world? and probably gaining (even more) respect for you? bc being sent to a new world is terrifying and kinda painful and really, really weird??? and the fact that mc just,,, went with it with only a little bit(?) of psychological damage is wild. there's not too much to say so it can be as short as you like :3!

What I’m hearing is that you want more angst and I am very happy to deliver. I’m two seconds from doing whumptober at this rate fkshdk

I ended up doing it in a oneshot format instead of regular headcanons, I hope that’s alright. This also wasn’t as angsty as anticipated but I might go back and do something similar that’s more angsty at a later date 🤍🤍🤍

The Wrong Side of Paradise

For people who crave order, it’s incredibly hard to let go of everything you know and be thrown into something different. For the fantastical, being trapped in the mundane is torture. For the optimistic, knowing there’s no way you can return home on your own dashes hopes like bitters in a drink.

It’s been a week since their arrival in this new world, and everyone had finally had their breakdowns. Some sooner than others, some slower. The group of (mostly) teenagers sat quietly in their friends living room, silent in contemplation as soft classical music played. Their TV had a fireplace screen saver, in an attempt to make them feel more at home, since they had no fireplace, and it only worked a little. The ambient noise was a comfort, but when one would catch the screen out of the corner of their eye, they could no longer delude themself into everything being fine.

“I miss Ortho.” Idia finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper but the silence made it carry.

Some turned to look at him, others forced their gaze to the ground.

“I miss Silver and Sebek,” Lilia lamented, leaning toward Idia where they sat on the ground.

“I miss my idiot freshman.” Riddle admitted, fidgeting with his hands. He would never dream of doing either under normal circumstances, but he was simply as far away from his rules and his mother as he could be. What was there to stop him?

Floyd sighed. He was sitting cross legged on the floor, with Jade sitting on the couch behind him and Azul beside Jade. Floyd leaned back against Jade’s legs, looking tired, “This discussion is a bummer. Can’t we talk about something better?”

“Better? We’re stranded in a world, money-less, homeless, magicless, and with no concept of what this world is like outside of this house. What could possibly be a more important discussion than talking about it?” Jamil snapped, eyes narrowed on Floyd.

“Are you lookin’ to get squeezed, sea snake? Cause I could use some stress relief~”

“Enough.” Leona said firmly, blinking an eye open to look between them, “They’re both right. There’s no point in moping around, we gotta do what it takes to survive.”

“Easy for you to say, Kingscholar. You never cared about your life before, and it’s not like your kingdom will notice the spare prince missing.” Vil spat, gaze icy and hard.

“Guys, we shouldn’t fight about this.” Trey tried, attempting to reason.

Leona and Vil began to argue loudly while Floyd began crawling his way over to Jamil, who was climbing higher and higher on the couch in an attempt to get away from the former eel.

Malleus coughed to get their attention. This failed, however Riddle did notice and took action as well.

“ENOUGH!” He shouted, all eyes now on him, “Malleus has something he’d like to say.”

“Malleus as something he’d like to say.” Leona mocked in a high pitched voice while rolling his eyes.

Malleus paid him no attention, “You know, it seems as though there is one person who may be able to understand this plight we’re in that we haven’t consulted.”

Everyone looked confused before Malleus sighed and pointed in the direction of Yuu’s room.

“The prefect? But-“ Kalim began before cutting himself off, “Oh…”

The room went back to silence as they all looked away from each other, faces burning with shame, “Is this how-“

“What’s going on?” Yuu asked, stumbling from their room while rubbing their eyes, “I heard shouting, is everyone okay?”

They looked the most tired of everyone, despite being the one person asleep at the time.

Riddle’s face went red with embarrassment, “I apologize, Prefect, it was an attempt to- ah, prevent a fight.”

“You guys are fighting?” Yuu asked, an eyebrow raised.

“Again, I apologize-“

Yuu began to laugh, looking delighted, “No, no, this is good. I’m glad.”

“You’re…glad? That they’re trying to kill each other?” Idia asked, looking very worried.

“Not the killing each other part but,” they took in a deep breath and let out a little sigh, “You all haven’t been acting right for a week. And fighting each other is kind of the NRC pastime, so in my book you guys fighting is a win.”

The group went silent for a minute. Ruggie began to laugh, then so did a few others.

“I guess you’re right, Herbivore.” Leona admitted, chuckling just a little.

“It’s how we show affection.” Floyd added, finally snagging Jamil’s ankle and pulling him to the ground. He put him in a headlock, laying half of his bodyweight on the poor vice housewarden, who struggled.

“Help me-“

“Floyd, be gentle with Jamil, please.” Jade said, hiding a smile behind his hand, “you know how fragile humans can be.”

Malleus beaconed Yuu over, who sleepily grinned at him, “What can I do for you, Hornton?”

Malleus’s face fell for a quick moment at the mention of his horns, but returned when he remembered the nickname, “We we’re discussing how…difficult it is to adjust to living here. Without magic.” He said quietly, “I thought you may understand that issue best of us.”

Yuu looked soft, eyes melting into sympathy as they nodded, “Yeah, I do.” They said before turning back to everyone else, “I know exactly what it’s like. And I’m so sorry any of you have to go through this. Especially because of me…”

Kalim got up and pulled Yuu into a hug, “It’s worth it, Yuu. And besides, Crowley won’t leave us here forever. And even if we are…” he began, but let the thought die.

Everyone had an expression of pain or misery on their face. Most people were curled up with someone else. Vil and Rook were cuddled close on the couch, Leona and Ruggie were close to each other on the floor. Malleus and Lilia both sat right by the couch, leaning on it, while Azul, Jade, and Idia sat on it. Jamil and Floyd were forcibly cuddled on the floor, while Trey and Riddle sat together in an oversized armchair.

Yuu watched them from where their head rested on Kalim’s shoulder and smiled, “You won’t be stuck here. I promise. Even if I have to travel the world for a solution, I won’t keep you away from your homes.”

Lilia stood up, stretching his back for a moment before going over to the lamps and turning them off one by one, “I think it’s time we get some rest, my friends.”

The group let out a series of grumbles either for or against this notion, but Yuu merely laughed.

“Time to split up, I suppose. Whoever beats me to my room can have the bed tonight!” They announced, dashing for their room as the room began to darken.

Floyd, Jamil, Jade, and Ruggie all got up to run after Yuu, trying to beat them to the doorway.

In the end, the five that ran tugged the mattress to the floor and made a pillow fort, sharing it, while those in the living room did something similar with the couch cushions.

Trey: So I figured that supporting you in not getting found out was the best way to resolve this peacefully

Denzel: And for the peace of the dorm... we'll help you get back in quietly

Cater: How nice Ace, even if Riddle happens to finds out, now Trey and Denzel will be there to apologize with you

Trey: Eh, that's a little...if that happens the four of us will have to divide Riddle's fury between us

Cater: Me too!?

Ace: Trey, Denzel and Cater...tha-nks! When the time comes, let's all go together!

Trey and Denzel: Please try not to get found out!

Jack: So basically Trey and Denzel followed after Ace

Jack: Then maybe...Leona also....!?

My lilia hcs are that he never really fell in love and shuttered his emotions to deal with them during war time and then he was raising the prince and then his human son and practically adopted crocodile son. He met you then he just feels his chest swell and yearns for something, someone, other than peace.

When He found his fated one in another dimension, in fae lore they are said to be able to walk any plane or dimension (because they aren't of the earth), he pulls a Jareth and pulls you to twisted wonderland and doing his job of saving the world takes sm energy that he kinda goes into a coma while malleus recovers from his overblot. Everything is tense for a while and eventually sebek comes to expect your soft humming of a song that Lilia always used to sing to him and the others growing up.

Silver brings you his father's favorites. All three of the boys come every night after class to the infirmary to listen to their new parent tell stories of their world. I can only imagine how the reveal of Lilia being the one to bring them to twst went!🤣😋
