Accidental courtship

ft: Savanaclaw, Octavinella

cw: possible minor spelling errors (blame the dyslexia), established relationship, swearing, implied fem reader

Penguins have this adorable courtship ritual where the male gives the female a smooth pebble, if the female is impressed by the pebble she accepts the gift and mates with the male

I know that jade, Floyd, and Azul aren't penguins, but i thought it would be so cute if their s/o gave them a pebble and basically proposed but not knowing what it meant.

And for the beast-men (Leona, Jack, Ruggie) i thought it would be cute if there was a special beast-men way of courtship, I couldn't think of anything though, but then i remembered that for a lot of mammals (and animals in general) grooming is a form of bonding, so what if licking was a form of courtship?!?!

Leona: he awoke from his nap when he felt a pair of hands running through his hair, he sniffed the air, realizing it was just his s/o he closed his eyes once again, surrendering to the comforting feeling of your hands, he hated to admit it but he loved when you played with his hair, it was something he looked forward to and expected. what he didn't expect however was the sudden wet feeling that graced his cheek his eyes shot open and his head snapped in your direction

"so soon? at least wait till we graduate"

your so confused, he realizes that you probably dont know what you just did

"for beast-men, your lick was you asking me to marry you you dumb herbivore"

he wont admit it but his heart was pounding in his chest

Jack: he had finished his classes for the day and was walking around the campus grounds, when he spotted you his tail started to wag a bit, he attempted to stop, annoyed that he was giving away how he felt. he walked over to you, he wrapped his arm around your waist pulling you closer to him you smiled up at him, kissing his cheek, he smiled at you and walked with you to the ramshackle dorm, you guys sat in the guest room you had been working on you had been pretty bored all day and wanted to do something to make you laugh, why not lick your boyfriend see what his silly reaction would be, little did you know the implications behind this supposedly innocent action. as soon as your tongue brushed his cheek he was off to sofa and staring at you in shock, he moved so fast that your tongue was still hanging out of you mouth

"i-im not ready"

his voice was shaky and his tail was wagging at a super sonic spread

"i mean you need to meet my parents and my siblings, and i dont have any money, i mean were still in high school, marriage is a very large leap"

you were so fucking confused Marriage? when you asked what he was talking about he looked at you confused

"you licked me... you want to marry me...right?"

you blushed and told him that in your world its just a weird thing to do. he sighed in

"so no marriage then, good, i love you but im not ready for that yet... try again in a few years"

he winked, his tail giving away his feelings

Ruggie: you had gotten some powdered donuts from Sam's store earlier and you were super excited to eat them, you rushed to your dorm hoping to avoid the food thief you called a boyfriend but it was useless, he could probly smell them from 3 miles away, he saw you running smelt the sweet scent of donuts and took off after you, he caught up quickly, snatching the box from you hands

"watcha got here shihihi"

he held the box out of your reach and took a donut out, he quickly shoved it into his mouth as you pouted, you loved him to death but god was he annoying sometimes you noticed how he had gotten some of the powdered sugar on his nose and an idea of revenge sprung into your mind, you grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to you

"you gonna kiss me~" he teased you, he wrapped an arm around you resting a hand on the small of your back while his other held the donut box.

you licked his nose, he tensed up, his eyes widened and he stumbled back almost falling over

"i-i dont- i mean-" he turned around, he grabbed his ears and pressed them down, trying to calm himself down, he had never felt so flustered before, but could you blame him? his s/o just asked for his hand in marriage "i accept but... so soon?"

you looked at him confused, he took a moment, realizing that what is a marriage proposal for beast-men might not be the same for humans, but everyone was aware of the tradition, then it clicked, you weren't from here, you had no idea what you had just done. his blush was still there, and to be honest he was dissipated, he licked you cheek "that is a proposal for marriage" he admits, looking away embarrassed, he shoved the donut box back into your hands and quickly walked away mumbling a quick "i love you" his tail was small, but it was wagging as he zoomed away from you.

Octavinelle (penguin esc courtship)

Floyd: he hated working at the cafe, it was so boring, why would he work when he could be with his little shrimpy? he found you outside of the ramshackle dorm, you were on your hands and knees digging round a pile of rocks

"shrimpy~" he lifted you up and hugged you from behind "what are you doing?"

he asked, examining the rocks you held in your hands, you didn't answer, instead you picked on of the rocks you had and handed it to him, it was smooth, and had a faint blue undertone to it, he squealed and snatched it out of your hand, he wrapped his arms around you, squeezing you till you felt like you were about to burst, he kissed you passionately before skipping off to tell his brother and Azul, you just stood there, confused as to why your boyfriend was so happy about the rock you gave him, i mean sure it was cool but was it that exciting for him? a couple hours later there was a knock on the door to the ramshackle dorm, you opened the door and say Floyd standing there frowning slightly

"do you know what a rock means"

you shook your head and you swear it looked like he was about to cry

"so you weren't asking me to marry you?"

you shook your head again, now understanding why he was so upset, you hugged him and kissed his cheek promising him to marry him one day, as soon as he heard that he was happy again, hugging and squeezing you all night long.

Jade: he was observing the mushroom he was growing, they had a strange mutation that he hadn't seen before and was eager to study, he was writing down the differences and comparing them to known mutations when suddenly you burst into his room clenching something in your hand, he turned to you smiling at you, he closed his mushroom guide and walked over to you, kissing your forehead and ruffling your hair, you hold out your hand and show a small smooth rock to him, he blushed, hugging you tightly

"are you aware of what your asking me?" he asked, his voice shacking lightly as he hugged you tighter, part of him wished you meant what mer-people mean when they give rocks, but he knows you arent used to the tradtions and culture in this world

he pulled away slightly and when he saw your confused face he smiled sadly "in merfolk culture you asked me to marry you" he chuckled as you blushed "i want to be the one to give you the rock dear" he mumbled into your hair he pulled away caressing your face before picking you up and taking you to the couch to cuddle.

Azul: he was in his office doing paper work and for the cafe, he was stressed, his hand was starting to cramp from the amout of writing he had been doing. the door to his office opened and you entered, his eyes lit up as he say you, your presence always made him feel better.

"hello my love"

he smiled at you softly, he open his arms for a hug and you wasted no time crawling into his lap and hugging him tightly, he kissed your shoulder, you reached into your pocket and handed him a pretty rock you had found earlier, his faced flushed with a blush

"m-my love? i- i mean y-yes ill marry you, but at least meat my family first, do you have a venue in mind? a dress? i can help you look- wait your not proposing? oh... you dont know do you"

as disappointed as he was that he wasn't going to marry you he chuckled and laughed

"my beloved your little rock was a proposal of marriage"

he smirked at you, watching as you face as you realized what you had done, he kissed you shoulder and cheek again

"just know love.... i will say yes, i will always say yes to you"

a couple days later when you walk into his office you she the rock you gave him on the shelf behind his desk, it was in a glass container, when you asked Azul all he said was

"its special to me, i wish to keep it forever"

So, fun lil fact about me, I’m southern. And I don’t really have the whole southern/country accent unless I get super mad and start yellin’</3

So now I’m thinking about Epel finding out you’re southern and freaking out because omg!!!! You’re like him!!!!!

No one else has the little country accent he does:((((

You, Epel, Grim, and probably Ace, Jack, Sebek, and Deuce are walking around school because you guys have some free time. You guys haven’t seen the entire school because y’all are first years, so you’re exploring together!!

How fun is that?

So, you guys are walking around, pointing out things you haven’t noticed or seen before.

Like classes you haven’t taken and teachers you’ve never heard of.

And it’s all peaceful until you hear someone yelling your name from behind you.

You obviously turn around, thinking it might be one of your other friends or one of the housewardens needing some help.

But instead you’re met nearly fist to face with a Savanaclaw student.

Luckily you were able to dodge before his fist hit you.

“Dude, what the hell? What’s your problem?” You say, staring at his fist that’s now clenched tightly at his side.

“You’re my fuckin problem!! You fucking bitch!!” He screams, his pointer finger digging into your chest.

He continues to scream at you as the guys try to get him off of your ass. Jack is trying to pull him back and Ace and Deuce are cussing him out. Grim is threatening to spit some fire and Epel is helping Jack. Sebek is in front of you, guarding you from any attacks he may lay on you.

(Epel wants to seem more manly in front of you guys</3)

And finally, you get to the point where you’ve had enough and get sick of trying to solve this nicely.

“If ya wan’ a fight then you’re gonna get a fight douchebag..” you say, country accent slipping through.

“The fuck you say? Come on, speak up pussy!” The savanaclaw student growls, pushing past Jack and Epel, and shoving Sebek out of the way to come face-to-face with you.

“I said…” you grabbed the collar of his shirt, “if you wan’ a fight, you’re gonna get one. And don’t call me a pussy, you fuckin’ dipshit!”

You sock him in the jaw, making him fall back and nearly land on Jack and Epel.

The guys are absolutely flabbergasted because one, they didn’t know you had a country accent and two, they weren’t expecting you to HIT him.

You glare at the student on the floor as he holds his jaw in pain.

“Did that knock any sense inta’ ya?” You taunted, continuing to glare up at him as he scrambles to his feet. “Now ya know not to fuck wit’ me, right? Are we clear? Ya know to stay away from me and my pals?”

The savanaclaw student frantically nodded his head, and quickly ran away from you afterwards, tail in between his legs.

“God bless his heart…” you mumbled, turning to face your friends, whom of which were all staring at you with wide eyes.

“…what?”

“Dude…that was AWESOME!!!! You never told us you can punch like that!!!” Ace exclaimed, shaking you frantically.

“Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?” Jack asked, putting a hand on your shoulder.

“No-no, I’m fine sweetheart I’m fine..” you sigh.

Jack blushed at the pet name, tail wagging excitedly.

“Human, do you need me to call Malleus for some assistance? He’s much stronger than you so he’ll be able to take care of that guy for you!!!” Sebek all but screams into your ear.

“That’s a nice offer but, imma have ta’ decline. Sorry Sebek..”

“Prefect, your voice..” Deuce started, pointing at you.

“Ya have an accent?? A country accent? No way!!” Epel looked up at you as he fangirled, grabbing your hands.

“Oh!! Uh, yeah. It only, ya know, pops out when I’m mad and start yellin’, as you can tell..” you giggle nervously, blushing at all of the attention you were now receiving.

“Henchman, that was so cool!” Grim even praised you, jumping onto the shoulder that wasn’t occupied.

And the entire day, all they talked about was how badass it was that you nearly knocked out a savanaclaw student. Bragging to everyone and anyone who’d listen (and who wouldn’t listen) about how cool the Ramshackle Prefect is.

Epel mainly talked about your country accent and asked stuff about your hometown:(((

And you just knowwwww Epel went back to the dorm and told Rook and Vil all about it. Rook is fangirling just like Epel and Vil just couldn’t be more pissed off.

He’s been trying so god damn hard to break Epels accent, now he’s gotta break yours too?!?!

Ugh, must he do everything around here??

oh man this fic concept is a throwback isnt it :) i decided to revisit it bc i find it sooooooo cuteeee <3

i thought the idea fit really well with jack too, especially since he says himself he isn't much of a romantic

You rolled over on the bed, looking at Jack who was currently turned away from you, body rising and falling slightly from each breath he takes.

He definitely isn't asleep yet, you can tell. And it kinda bothers you that he's turned away from you like the two of you just had an argument when you just had a normal day. He never was the super romantic type, but sometimes the two of you talk in bed right before falling asleep and today is one of the days that you miss that type of interaction. It's so casual and yet it feels so warm and domestic.

But tonight you're missing a different kind of affection.

You kinda want cuddles right now. No, scratch that, you really want cuddles right now. And since Jack won't do it on his own, it's sure to work with a little push in the right direction.

"Jack, are you still awake?" you ask in a hushed tone despite already knowing the answer. He hums in response, subtly telling you he's listening.

"I'm cold..." you complain. You weren't actually all that cold, but your end goal is cuddles and bodies exchange heat when pressed together so by that logic, he should...

get up?

He wordlessly gets up from the bed and leaves the room, leaving you all confused and worried. You haven't said anything weird, have you? And even if you did, he wouldn't just straight up leave.

After about a minute, you can hear his footsteps again and he comes back into the room holding a warm blanket.

Ohhhh.

Well, that explains a lot. You have to hold back from smiling like a lovestruck idiot when he goes over to your side of the bed and gently covers you with the blanket. How sweet of him. It's these little casual acts of protection that make Jack Jack.

But alas, that's not what your goal is.

As he lays back down in bed, you complain again, hoping he'll get the hint this time. "I'm still cold."

He groans slightly. "There's no way I forgot to turn on the heating. Are you sick? Feeling weird?" He asks, glancing over his shoulder to look at you. He can make out your pleading face through the darkness. Guess you want more blankets.

He gets up again, coming back with yet another fluffy blanket to cover you with. He doesn't notice the pout on your face when he does so.

"Jack, I'm cold." you complain again when he lays back down. Okay, now he's seriously stumped.

"Seriously. Are you sick?" he turns over and places a hand on your forehead to check for a fever. You sigh. Guess being subtle isn't gonna work out. You have to be a little more direct.

You wrap your arms around him and make a little noise of content. This is what you're talking about.

"Ah, how warm. I'm okay now." you snuggled up into him, exaggerating your satisfaction just a slight bit. He hugs you back after a few seconds.

"That's what you wanted this entire time..." Seems he caught on to what you were doing.

He sounded a bit annoyed, and you don't blame him. He was probably really sleepy himself and you made him get up twice just to get blankets for you when you never needed them in the first place.

Actually, you didn't make him do anything. That was on him. You just had different methods of obtaining warmth in mind.

"Yeah. Sorry you had to get up." you patted his back, silently showing him you're still thankful for his efforts to make you comfortable. Very very thankful.

"It's fine. Just tell me you want cuddles directly next time." he huffed, relaxing in your arms.

But, you have a feeling that whenever you complain about feeling cold from now on, he'll know exactly what to do.

Facts About the TWST Boys You Might Not Know: Savanaclaw

My goodness it's been a minute since the first one.

I have like, 50 posts to write up, so it's not surprising this came so far after the first one.

Let's get into it then.

Leona:

Em.... not much about him honestly... the only thing I could find of interest is that Malleus approaches Leona pretty often. Which is actually kinda funny. I'm curious why he does that.

Ruggie:

His uniform is a hand-me-down from Leona, which is really funny to me for some reason.

He knows how to greet and negotiate with someone in at least 10 languages. Fucking hell, that's incredible.

I knew this one, but it's kinda funny. In Japanese, he calls his broom "Broom-kun," and you can hear that in the gym class thingy. It's really cute.

Jack:

So, this is pretty well known, but he's not based on any character in the Lion King franchise. (I think they just needed a good character to mediate Leona and Ruggie a little (But that makes me curious about Octavinelle, since they're all pretty insane.... maybe Azul's normal... whatever)

He has a younger brother and sister that he's stated can play tag for 6 hours straight without getting tired.

I swear, Heartslabyul gets all the love.

ask by anon: Hello! I saw requests were open and got super excited XD May I request going shopping with Vil, Jack and Ace with a male reader?

a/n: thank you so much for the ask! i'm so sorry it took so long, and if you see this, i hope you like it!!

word count: 522 words

vil is one of the worst and best (in my humble opinion) person to go shopping with. he's an actor and a model, and thus has a good eye for styles, textures, and patterns that suit you.

vil drags you (with your consent) from shop to shop, combining various fabrics and sometimes commissioning tailors from the industry to make the dresses the way you like for you!

"it is because you have so little that you must present yourself well, [name]. i will not take no for an answer." he says firmly but gently, guiding you across expensive tiled floors towards a showroom filled with only the best quality clothes and materials for you.

if your culture isn't present in twisted wonderland (like mine *cough* i'm indian), vil would be 100000% villing (bad pun, sorry) to have it commissioned for you if you can draw/describe it!!

jack is, in my opinion, one of the better people to go shopping with. others in the same category are leona, trey, azul, kalim, and azul. they have money, but little to no opinions on styles that would suit you, so you're pretty much on your own.

however, that doesn't mean they won't fund you- jack is quick to offer cash when you run out of money, and refuses to have you pay him back 'as soon as you can'- he knows the situation you're in, and has no dearth of money and time. he can wait.

genuinely interested in the various stuff you show him and gives his feedback honestly (unlike many people on the list in bullet point one)- he feels like he should help out with how much ever knowledge he has. does end up texting vil for help though.

accepts payment for the long day via pictures in a photo booth and some food, either bought or cooked, he doesn't really care. he will print the photo out (if digital) and stick in a separate album for his friends (where he also has a few photos of leona [he's his idol okay cmon 0-0])

ace trappola. sigh. ace is one of the worst, if not the worst people to go shopping with, because a) he is broke asf (his brother is not going to give him extra cash) and b) he has no sense of fashion. all his excellent SSR styles of fashion? they came from epel which came from vil and rook combined. do not trust ace trappola.

but regardless of how thinly-lined his peasant-pockets are (ace slander for the win), ace makes sure to do his research on affordable clothing stores and brands (nothing fancy) and makes sure to cover them all or as many as a human being possibly can in one day.

slanders your every choice because he thinks it's funny to do so (unless it makes you genuinely uncomfortable) but also has the capacity to be serious about your choices. offers one piece of excellent financial advice every 1000 seconds. (yes, jack counted).

overall, a good companion who helps you budget! he is, unfortunately, of little to no actual help. he will demand a soda regardless.

- He was irritated. Extremely. All the time.

- See, Leona skipped the class that would have told him NOT to do X, Y, and Z. So what did he do when he came without that knowledge? yeah.

- At first, he was just grumpy as hell (whats new)

-But eventually he stopped caring, found a good hidden spot in the botanical garden and took the longest nap because nobody could even find him.

-Aside from you that is. You scooped up this pretty… large… brown tabby, and plopped him in your bag immediately after cooing in his grumpy face.

-only reason he didn’t hiss and scratch was because it was you, anyone else and they would have had their day ruined in seconds.

-You took him back with you and put him on your bed, staring at him as you thought of how you where going to go about this. You seriously thought he was just a regular cat, and that you could keep him.

-The first thing you attempted to do was give him cat food, and he turned his nose and walked away. Then, you tried a bath. That didn’t work since you turned around for literally 4 seconds and he was gone.

-You found him asleep on your bed after a while of looking, deciding to let him sleep while you switched your focus from him and his failed bath-time, to studying for this upcoming history test.

-While you where writing, you look up and leona is SNORING on your bed, not the perfectly normal tabby cat you thought you had brought home.

RUGGIE BUCCHI

-“the fuck do I do now” for a moment.

-He wonders if this is how Leona feels on a regular, or if this is how Jack feels when he uses his signature spell.

-Escapes quickly and makes his way to wherever you are, running his body against your ankles with a sweet meow. You had absolutely no idea the little tan colored cat was him, crouching to pet him and pick him up, immediately accepting him as yours.

-refused to eat cat food, but ate UP whatever you cooked. He was so full after omg.

- cried while he had diarrhea. it was bad, he was so embarrassed, refuses to talk about it regardless of how long ago it was.

-he’ll play with and collect any toys you give him just because you bought them for him, and bring you one he wants you to throw. He has nothing else to do but be a cat, so why not?

- Brings back coins and thaumarks he finds on the ground anywhere and hides them in a pile somewhere for him to have when he turns back. Flicked his tail at you when you found his stash and SWATTED AT YOU when you tried getting near it.

- When he turned back, he came back only for his stash. Or so he said, because he hung around you for a good hour before going back to whatever business he had.

JACK HOWL

- His partner knocked the bottle over, which he tried to save it, and the potion wasn’t even the right one, so now he’s a cat.

- Wasn’t sure how to feel about being a wolf one moment and a cat the next

- He tried not to do anything that would irritate or upset you, but his CHATTERING.

- He will chatter even if theres nothing to chatter at, he’ll do it in your ear, at you, he just would not stop when he figured out he could do such a thing.

- He’ll stop doing anything IMMEDIATELY if you spray him with water, and will sulk for an hour after.

- Will bolt from one end of your dorm to the other. If you get him toy’s he’ll play with them, but not for long.

- ^ I say not for long because he eventually RUNS AWAY and explores twisted wonderland by himself as a cat, just to see what all he could do with this new kind of flexibility and agility.

- Stares at you while you do things while he sits on your desk. Not like he’s plotting something or anything, just observes you while you continue your routine.

- When his time as a cat was up, he was glad to be back, but also slightly disappointed when he thought of new things he could’ve done beforehand.

- He came back to you as his original beastman self(??) since he was out when it happened, and thanked you for anything you provided even if it was simply playing with him.

Leona Kingscholar

You missed him.

You missed him a lot. You hadn't seen Leona the whole week due to the heavy workload you had been assigned before the weekend. Crewel really didn't know when enough work was enough.

Nonetheless, you used seeing Leona as a reason to get your work done, and you did. It was Friday, every last piece of work turned in, and you were on your way to see your favorite beastman.

"...mmmmmwhat...?" You could hear Leona growl from inside his dorm room after you knocked. Opening the door slowly, you were met with drawn curtains, creating a dimly lit room and a sleep enticing atmosphere.

"Oh my King," you knelt down and began speaking as though you were in a fairy tail. "Please forgive me for intruding upon your sacred private quarters. It is merely I, your beloved, here to see you-"

You looked up to see Leona, crossing his arms and staring down at you. His emerald eyes practically glowed, even in the dim light of his bedroom.

"Get up herbivore," he groaned. "If you're gonna be on your knees, at least make it for a good reason~"

"LEONA!" You stood quickly, face heating evidently. His arms enveloped you and you felt him rest his chin on your head.

"I'm kidding, herbivore..." He said sleepily. "I've missed ya..."

You smiled from where your face was buried in his chest and reciprocated his embrace, squeezing him tight and sighing contently.

"I've missed you too..." You murmured. Leona grabbed your chin with his hand, forcing you to look at him. He smirked and let out a quiet, amused huff. You pouted.

"What?"

"Nothing," he grinned, shaking his head. Leona tilted your head upwards, lowering his own to meet you in a long, slow, deep kiss. It had you shivering and melting into him, leaning your whole body against his broad figure. Breaking the kiss, you panted and gazed into his eyes.

"Ohhh I don't think you'll be leaving this room anytime soon, herbivore~" Leona teased, leaning down to kiss your throat. "I wasn't kidding when i said i missed ya. Now whaddaya gonna do about it, hmm~?"

Jack Howl

"Deuce, have you seen Jack?" You had searched the grounds of Night Raven College at least three times over and still couldn't find your wolf anywhere. Deuce shook his head.

"I haven't seen him since our Flight class," Deuce said. "He told me he was going to look for you after school, but judging from what's going on right now, I'm assuming that didn't quite go as planned."

You rolled your eyes.

"No shit, Sherlock," you muttered. You scanned the crowd and couldn't see Jack anywhere. If he were there, it wouldn't have been hard to see a 6'3 bulky, tanned skinned, white haired wolf beastman that literally EVERYONE knows. You groaned aloud, deciding to give up searching, until...

"Wait, his dorm!" You nearly yelled. "I feel so damn stupid...why didn't I think to look for him in his dorm?"

You ran as fast as you could to the Savanaclaw dorm, huffing once you got there. Some student looked at you weird, whereas others minded their own business. You searched for anybody familiar when you saw-

"Ruggie!"

The hyena turned and smiled as he saw you.

"Hey! What brings ya here?"

"Where's Jack?!" Ruggie put his hands up in defense, chuckling.

"Relax, he's up in his room. I think you came at a good time, he came back looking like his favorite cactus just died."

You quickly thanked him and ran to Jack's room, knocking on the door. No response. You slowly opened the door to see Jack sitting on his floor, playing with a little potted cactus, tail limp and ears flat, a sad scowl on his face.

"Jack?" You called softly. His head shot up and his eyes widened, ears alert as he stared towards you. You stepped inside and shut the door behind you, turning back around to be almost knocked over in a bone crushing hug.

"Jack if your tail wags any harder your homework is going to fly out the window-" You warned him.

"Don't care," he said, face buried in your neck. "Can't help it, I missed you too damn much..."

Out of nowhere, jack picked you up and tossed you onto his bed (gently of course) before climbing over you and laying down on top of you. You giggled and pet his hair, rubbing his ears as he nuzzled his face into your neck.

Jack raised his head to look at you. You smiled at him and cupped his cheek with your hand. Laying his hand over yours, Jack leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours in a gentle kiss. His lips were soft and warm, and he smelled like cactus flowers.

Once the kiss was broken, he rested his forehead against yours, eyes closed, savoring the shared warmth between you two.

"I love you, Jack," you said breathlessly, eyes still shut tight and forhead still resting against his. Jack breathed shakily before running a large hand down your side, gently but lovingly caressing you.

"I...I love you too..."

It was moments like these where Jack knew he didn't have to have his guard up, where he could finally relax, because he knew he would always be safe to be himself with you~

(Lol can you say self indulgent-)

Ruggie Bucchi

"What was that for, huh?" Ruggie stared up at you from where you leaned over him. All he wanted was a little peace and quiet, some time to relax and lie in the cool grass beneath his favorite tree. Why was it his favorite? To keep it simple, it kept the grass beneath cool because it provided a lot of shade.

He was lying in the grass with his eyes closed when out of nowhere, you had decided to show up and give him a quick peck on the forehead.

"Nothing really," you grinned. "I've been looking for you all day, and I missed you! Also, you looked super cute, all relaxed like that~!"

Ruggie grinned, grabbing you as he began to tickle you to death.

"RUGGIE STOP!" You squealed as his relentless hands continued to attack your most ticklish spots.

"Never!" He giggled boyishly as he eventually calmed and brought you to sit between his legs, your back against his chest. His arms encircled your torso as his chin rested on your shoulder. You reached up to pet his hair and Ruggie sighed happily, closing his eyes.

"You know," Ruggie said softly. "I came out here to get away from people, to relax and be alone for a bit. But honestly, this is so much better..."

You smiled softly. Ruggie was young and fresh faced, some even saying he looked younger than he was. But he was a very responsible man and a hard worker. He deserved a break every now and again. He shouldn't have had to sneak away.

"Well whenever you need a break from things, especially from Leona," you gazed into his eyes, cupping his cheek. "Just hit me up, I'll always be down to help you unwind!"

He smiled cutely and pulled you in for a quick kiss, pulling back to look at you before going in for another, this time slower, longer, more passionate.

"I love you, Y/N. I always will, please don't ever forget that..."

MAN THIS WAS JUST THE PICK ME UP I NEEDED I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER AFTER WRITING THIS

Also I kinda tried to associate their name colors with their eyes (Leona was green, Ruggie blue and Jack orangy yellowy amber idk-)
