This is what I have been working on this week. A4 paper in gouache. It's a rather difficult medium to work with. I do like the consistency, and the matte finish. But I found it hard to make the colours come out bright (I suppose gouache is like that?). I used coloured pencils and what is supposed to be oil pastels (it was straight up chalk lol). I think it could still use more work, but I fear I would just ruin it if I work any further. Overall, I'm happy with the result! Next up will be acrylics! Progress shots under the cut:

🎀 Hobbies 🎀

I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!

Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.

Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.

Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.

Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.

Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!

Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!

Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.

Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!

Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.

Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.

Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!

That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!

Happy Lockwood & Co. Big Bang!!! :D I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with @The_Dreamer_Half_Alive (on Ao3 :) on her fic for the @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 event; set post TEG, it’s truly so lovely and heartwarming, and I had so much fun doing a piece for it! We very much hope you enjoy :)

Okay, so I tried to put a bunch of little easter eggs from the fic and just in general in here, so if you’re interested:

Alright, to start off, I was generally very inspired by them getting a record player; I thought it was very sweet, and I loved the idea of them finally getting to relax and hang out in the library (the lack of chairs, I know; I couldn’t figure out how to put them in without blocking people lol) and locklyle dancing, with the record player on in the background, so that’s what I took as the basis of the scene!!

We had discussed that the characters were kind of a combo of both show and book versions, so I tried to add a smattering and hints of both when doing their designs!

The record is, of course, an Ella Fitzgerald record as mentioned in the fic (the record drawn is her Souvenir Album)

Holly is wearing her engagement ring, and wearing shades of pink and cream because that’s what she wears at her wedding (although shifted in hue to better match the color scheme of the piece lol)

Everyone (minus Flo) of course has their white strands of hair (which is *always* one of my favorite details to draw)

Lucy and George bake in the fic, but I think I had just read the Christmas mini story when I was doing my thumbnail for this, so Kipps ended up being the one bringing in baked goods; however, the baking mitts are orange and monogrammed with George's initials because I couldn't let that slip by, could I?

I wasn't quite sure what to put Flo in, because in the books she never takes off her boots or puffer jacket, but I wanted to throw in some sign that she was living at 35 Portland Row and becoming closer to all of them, (and her close relationship with George,) so I let her keep the boots, but traded the puffer jacket in for one of George's plaid shirts :)

The chess game also made it in because of the Christmas short story, lol

Lucy's blue star jacket!! When I read the fic, I was planning from the start to have her wearing the jacket, so of course it made it in :) I wasn't really sure what style it should be, though, so I ended up with kind of an odd mishmash of designs, but I think it turned out working alright!

The sapphire necklace, because, of course

I adore that Lockwood wears his pink socks throughout the entire show (well, most of the time they're the pink ones ;) so I wanted to include them (and then gave Lucy blue ones to match :)

The chipped blue mugs that Lockwood brings to Lucy for her tea after she wakes up from nightmares are on the bookshelf, and I couldn't find a way to directly include the Earl Grey tea they have, but I made the tea bag tags grey in honor of it

The green glow is the ghost lamp outside because if I can find a way to incorporate cool glows in my art, I will (and also on a more narrative-driven note, symbolizing the past danger they've been through and how some of it is definitely still present, but they have each other to heal with and finally be able to have some simple fun with, and are now curled up in the safety and comfort of 35 Portland Row :)

And finally, a big theme of the fic is them healing and building a happy life together, so I just wanted them to all be happy for once, and hence I put in my best efforts to draw them as such :)

I'm a pretty chill person that oscillates between too much energy and too little. I rely heavily on humor in most circumstances and I've been told I'm great at it (loads of dirty jokes, puns and absurd humor). I'm also good at improvising things as a theater and musical enjoyer. I'm a blend of emo, goth and punk, and enjoy the culture greatly. I'm very passionate about my interests, though not much confident in sharing them. I struggle with emotions a shit ton but I'm working on it!

A little (orange) birdie told me I could have both matchups, soooo. ;) I'd obviously prefer a male romantic matchup but I'm most open to either for platonic!

I love creating, mostly drawing and writing but it includes animating or sculpting and even playing piano/elec. guitar. I love chess and logic games/puzzles, as well as video games of all kinds (fantasy usually!). I also enjoy darker topics, since I'm quite fascinated by the human nature.

I love to hang out with friends, bake, watch shows, talk, etc, quality time is a big love language to me. I also like physical contact, as long as we're close!

I dislike physical activity, conflict of any kind, and loud noises/bright lights for too long. Another no are outright gore or some kind of horror (I have paranoia which can lead to a lot of anxiety.)

I don't exactly have an ideal type but they must be open-minded, ideally make me feel like they're interested in whatever I have to say, be willing to hang out and be honest!

Hmm I wonder who this could be... ;3 As I was reading this I kept nodding to myself...like yes, very true, definitely! And it also reminded me of how intriguing of a person you are – not that I don’t think that all the time, of course.

Anyhow, enough of my silliness! Let’s move our focus on somebody else’s silliness, as I romantically match you with...

Lucifer!

Right off the bat I should mention that you and Lucifer share an interest which is creating; both of you spend the majority of your days bringing life to your little creations, so imagine how fun it would be to work together and show each other the fruits of your work at the end of each day! He is definitely enchanted by how many skills you possess, but his favorite thing is when you finish writing a story and you ask him to read it. He does so out loud, imitating the voices of each character and making you laugh by doing so. As he continues reading though, his tone shifts into a more serious one, a sincere smile remaining on his face. He doesn’t want you to think that he doesn’t take your work seriously, plus he’s genuinely fascinated by how easily you can bring to life the characters in your stories.

You love baking and he loves sweets, I couldn’t think of a better combo! Many a times you drag him into the kitchen and he follows diligently, ready to help and possibly make a bit of a mess as he’s not the most well versed in these kinds of activities. But! He definitely tries for you, passing you the ingredients as you carefully try to follow every step of the recipe correctly. He’s also a bit of a chatter box himself, so rest assured you will have a lot to talk about as you break eggs and mix the ingredients! He sometimes brings up how he misses doing these things with Charlie as well, and you kindly remind him that he’s free to invite her over to do this any time as you’ve grown quite fond of her as a friend.

Returning on the topic of Lucifer being quite talkative, he really appreciates how much your interests vary as this allows you two to have conversations about anything and everything. While I feel like some things he wouldn’t be into himself, such as video games, there’s nothing that he loves more than to listen to you excitedly talk about an interest that he’s not really familiar with, because this just means that there’s more things to learn directly from you. You of course have to do your part in listening to him talk about whatever he might be into but you’re not, though!

Lucifer adores the fact that you can play the piano and electric guitar, as he’s able to play some instruments himself! It’s not rare for you two to play together, making up songs between piano keys being pressed and bows being drawn across the strings of his fiddle. The little concerts last for hours, and they always end with you sharing a tired but satisfied kiss with each other.

If there’s something that Lucifer understands about you it’s your struggle with emotions; his own are a mess, especially seeing that he struggled with isolation and depression after he and Lilith separated, but also because his humour is generally a little unpredictable. After meeting you though he’s able to pace himself slightly as you inevitably bring joy into his life, and so he manages to be helpful in your times of need. At first he might push you a little to still spend time together even though you’re claiming you need space, but once he’s got you figured out he’s going to give you all the space that you need and let you come back to him at the end of the day, offering you a warm embrace by wrapping you up protectively with his wings. And then, with a little pun here and a light joke there, he’s going to get a smile out of you again.

Speaking of hugs, he absolutely adores them. Getting to be lazy with you and cuddling is one of his favorite activities, as it also means not having to look after the obnoxious residents of Hell for a while. Rest assured he’s going to ask for five more minutes of cuddling with you every single morning, and if you don’t give them to him he’s definitely going to get pouty.

All things considered, Lucifer is glad he’s not alone anymore, instead he found great company in you and he appreciates all the love that you decide to show him in your unique ways. He’s of course more than willing to shower you in affection, and though he might go a little overboard sometimes, being a bit dramatic and all, you know he means well and you don’t get actually mad at him.

Platonic matchup

Now that you’ve gotten your lover, let’s move on to your platonic matchup!

Alastor!

First of all this came as a surprise to me as well, as Lucifer and Alastor don’t seem to get along very well, but allow me to demonstrate why you would get along with both!

Alastor values good manners, cordiality and intelligence a lot in others, which you all possess, in my opinion. He’s fascinated by your mannerisms just as much as you are by his, and admires the fact that you seem to have many skills. Some of them he might even take part in himself, such as playing chess and delving into darker topics. This would lead you to spending quite some time together, discussing such topics over a chess board.

The friendship between you and Alastor could be seen as unusual by most other people, but in reality it’s based on a very deep trust. You both trust each other to not cross boundaries; you don’t like physical touch from somebody who isn’t close? He’s going to respect that, he’s actually just the same. He’s not the biggest fan of sexual remarks? Sure, you’re going to be relying on other jokes, primarily puns as he seems to be a big enjoyer of those.

You and Alastor enjoy the occasional planned hang out with each other, usually opting for recitals and musicals as you both enjoy those a lot. You respect each other’s wish to quietly follow the play but at the end of it you’re very eager to have an open discussion about it.

Alastor, as the good friend that he is, also tries his best to take care of any kind of conflict that may arise while you’re together for you. Will you have to hold him back from doing anything too crazy? Sure, most of the time a little scare is enough...

He’s also pretty closed off with his own emotions, so a positive thing is that he’s never going to push you to talk about things, even in general. He does worry though, you’re his dear friend, and his way of showing it is by tolerating more than he would usually. May that be a short hug or whatever you might need from him to feel better, he’s willing to make an effort to provide it to you.

i wanted to ask, have you ever heard of Vintage Story? it’s a bit like Minecraft in that it’s a resource harvesting/block based game, but that’s where the similarities end for the most part!

in the base game, it has metalworking and ore refining, mushroom foraging (and regular foraging in general), realistic biomes & temperature distribution, micro blocks and chiseling, clay working, realistic farming, grain grinding and bread baking with different grains, fermenting, the list goes on and on!

it’s one of my favorite games, it has so many amazing features and little things, you can easily get lost in it for hours!

Just saw an unrelated batfam fanart and my though went to : batfamily bookclub.

Founded by jason and Barbara sponsered by Alfred pennyworth.

They made their own space in the Wayne library with beanbag, a sofa with a blanket and an armchair .

Everyone will bring Book like Tim will bring Book from his mistery novel collection and damian will follow up by books recommended by his friends maps, Jason will bring classic litterature Book, pride and prejudice of book but i can also imagine bringing book like the count of monte cristo or les miserables, damian will also bring arabic book , several non fiction and the books that his mother, his nanny or ravi used to read him but also manga, others will bring audio books.

They will debate on which books to read and have a reading competition the one who read the most book for a session get bragging right plus can make the losers do what they want.

Alfred will bring his cookies and others snack as well as tea or hot chocolate and when damian go at Jon house for a slumber party, martha will gave him her famous apple pie to share at book club to Alfred dismay ( both have a secret baking competition and are hyper competitive).

They will also do others things than reading like duke could write, Steph and cass could play board game, Tim edit his photos or take new photos of his family, while damian draw or Dick and Barbara will tell them their story of the time when they we're Batman and robin and embarrassing stories about bruce that they didn't know but working and any type of superheroes activity are forbidden.

Then bruce or Alfred will find them all cuddling together and put a blanket on them especially after particulary tiresome patrol no one acknowledge that it happen but they all have the best sleep of their life when they're sleeping together.

Hello friend! I've got a number of recommendations for you here, and I'm personally very excited by all of the games on this list. Enjoy!

The Creature Comes for Us, by OrionQK.

The Creature Comes for Us is a game that can be played solo or multiplayer which uses a standard deck of cards, two six-sided dice, and the players' imagination.

You play as a group of people preparing to fight against a currently unknown threat. You will learn (through drawing cards) about the creature that is coming for you, you will find resources and tactics to fight against them, and you will learn more about the unique traits and talents of the player characters. The second part of the game brings together what you've gathered to fight the looming horrors and you will find out if your characters and world can survive the onslaught.

You’re going to need both dice and cards for this one. Slowly uncover the creature that’s hunting you, and then take what you’ve learned and turn to face the horror. It’s inspired by games such as The Quiet Year and The Junkyard. The game comes with a simple outline of the game, and an oracle for each card that you may pull. The game also comes with a number of tips for a shorter game, a longer game, and how to make the game a fun experience for different kinds of players. If you want a great summer spook story, this is worth checking out!

Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites, by Pammu.

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites is a narrative RPG about spending your night in one of the only clubs in your city that’s safe for creatures of the night like yourself. All you want to do is have some fun just like the humans do. Play a supernatural creature of choice, put some sick EDM on the speakers and get your game on!

You can alter how long you’re going to play by lengthening or shortening the intimacy meters between each pair of characters. You will roll dice and spend tokens to indicate the advances you make with different characters, narrating what you do to get them to look your way. While this game is primarily designed for a one-shot, the creator also provides ideas for making this a longer game. If you’re interested in a heavily descriptive game that gives all of you plenty of opportunities to flirt with each-other, this is a great option.

Waxworm, by FeatherBoy.

Waxworm is a game about legacies, survival, spite, love, and reclaiming a world taken from you by others. It is also a rule-light solarpunk tabletop role-playing game set in a world covered in water and broken concrete spires baking in the sun, and named for the questionable theory that waxworm moths might be well on their way to one day digesting plastics. Players may find themselves helping regrow broken communities adrift on the waves. They may also find that they are adrift themselves, searching for a community in which they can grow.

In Waxworm, each player acts as a Crew, rather than an individual. These Crews work together to grow and support each other, and face down adversity upon the waves and islands. The core of gameplay involves exploring relations within and between Crews, and exploring how those dynamics shift as crew-members come and go.

Another game inspired by the Quiet Year, Waxworm is a great cozy game that explores a hopeful future. The game is designed to be printed, which means that you can bring a physical copy and not worry about reading the rules off of a screen or having difficulty reading the text.

Here We Used To Fly, by A Smouldering Lighthouse.

Here We Used to Fly is a rules-light tabletop roleplaying game about a group of friends exploring an abandoned theme park. Over the course of a single session, players will create two versions of the same character: one a child visiting the vibrant amusement park, one an adult investigating the ruins. As they discover or revisit each location in the park, they’ll play out scenes spotlighting moments of joy, frustration, fear, love, loss, and more.

This game feels like it requires a bit of prep, but each character is packaged into playbooks, so all of your options will be laid out in the same place. The play is also structured to make it easy to follow: with each Attraction you visit you’ll move from a childhood scene to a current-day scene. I’m very intrigued by this game and its partner, Endless Summer by Kay Marlow Allen. The whole feeling of nostalgia and whimsy feels perfect for a summer vacation with your loved ones.

For those who stumble upon my account... Hello and how are ya? This is my very first time using Tumblr! You can refer to me as Banana Cat, Yume, Dreamy, Floof or JJ. I'm a genuinely curious individual who sometimes gets obsessed with stuff that I eventually want to get engaged with or stuff that I have no intention of trying out, but I'm very fascinated by it. 2. When was the last time you cried?

Good question. My SSRIs make it harder for me to cry, so I don't cry often, even when I want to. I almost cried the other day, but I'm not quite sure when the last time I actually did was--it was definitely in the last couple months though.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope, and I intend for it to stay that way (the only kids I might want are baby goats). Thankfully I'm in a gay t4t relationship (and pro choice anyway) so there is no chance of it happening by accident.

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

I had a brief stint in track and field as a youngin, and as an adult I took up playing tennis for fun last year.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

Occasionally! Sometimes when I'm annoyed, often to be silly.

Hm, hard to say. Hair is a major one though--color, style, how much of it there is. I have trouble with faces, so I have to figure out other ways of recognizing people.

Very dark brown.

Happy endings all the way, but I can handle a lot of things in a story if it turns out okay in the end.

I have a pretty keen ear for recognizing voices! I watch a lot of animated media and it's always fun to hear a familiar VA.

Writing, drawing, dancing, baking, reading, playing viddy games, taking photos, watching cartoons, and collecting things related to my special interests (Pokemon and horses).

I have many. It had been 4 years since you graduated from Inashiro Industrial, 4 years since you left West Tokyo to further whatever dream you had when you were a third-year. Now here you were, stepping back into your old high school after all of this time. Revisiting all of your old memories.

After visiting the teachers you missed and wandering the winding hallways, your heavy eyes and constant yawning urged you to grab some coffee. Thus, you found yourself at the steps of a cute cafe.

The bell hanging on the door chimed as you entered and the smell of coffee and baked goods hit you all at once. You glanced around the quaint cafe. There weren’t many people, save for one or two seated by the window overlooking the street outside, or the person reading a book by the fireplace. Plants hung from the ceiling, the brick walls littered with framed paintings— it was charming.

“Hey there, what can I get you?” a kind voice pulled you out of your thoughts; the owner of this voice being the worker behind the counter. She had an easy-going smile on her face as she waited for your order.

You realized you hadn’t even thought of your order prior to walking in. So, quickly scanning the menu on the wall, you gave the worker your order.

She tapped the screen in front of her before giving you the total and asking for a name, to which you handed your credit card over and answered.

“That will be right out,” she handed it back with a big smile.

Strolling over to the tables, you sat yourself down and tried to distract yourself with anything in view. Your gaze drifted from the elaborate drawings on the wall, which ranged from abstract to contemporary, all different yet captivating in their own way.

Being back in the city made you realize just how much time had passed since high school. Your time with the Inashiro baseball team as their manager was one that you cherished, and missed quite a lot. Spending your days out on the grounds, picking up loose baseballs and organizing scoresheets, your schedule was constantly busy. You missed the craziness of rounding up the boys and making sure they ate the snacks you and the girls prepared.

College life had hit you hard, the change of pace totally taking you by surprise. Yes, babysitting a team of high school baseball players was a grueling, time-consuming job— but college was an entirely different story. The load of work was laughable, and the deadlines were unbelievable. You could barely find the time to go out to parties, or any type of social event, with the amount of studying you had.

“Fancy seeing you here, manager.”

That voice was far too familiar. Whipping your head around and glaring up, you found yourself face to face with Narumiya Mei. The ace of Inashiro’s baseball team when you were a manager. The kid who was 99% of the time the cause of your problems in high school.

“If it isn’t Mr. Big League,” you hummed.

After graduation, Narumiya had landed a spot with the Yomiuri Giants as a pitcher in the professional league. Narumiya’s dream came true, and the team couldn’t have been happier. You think back on when you had first found out.

He had announced the news to the whole team during dinner with his mouth stuffed with rice you had nearly force fed him. The pause after he spoke was deafening, until everyone rose with shouts and cheers.

“No way Narumiya-san!”

“Can you get us free tickets to the games?”

“Great, now his ego will be to the moon.”

Of course, you were happy for him. Ecstatic even, but it made you realize that your futures would be so different after graduation.

After finishing up dinner, you ended up having Narumiya walk you to your dorm, not wanting to walk alone this late at night. Shoulder to shoulder, the two of you walked in silence down the pathway with the night breeze carrying you along.

Your relationship with the pitcher was difficult to put into words. He pissed you off significantly with his constant chirping and egotistical personality. Yet, his presence calmed you in moments like this when it felt like the star-speckled sky watched over the two of you, the moon lighting your path and the gentle brushing of your shoulders keeping you awake.

The both of you were able to forget that the pros waited for Narumiya, and college waited for you. Your lives would soon branch off from Inashiro and you would be on your separate ways.

But right now, it was only you two and the gravel pathway that crunched beneath your feet. It was the moon that had watched this scene play out many times— You and Narumiya sharing fond glances as he returned you back to your doorstep, hesitance in the air when you would turn away to open your door. The urge to speak what should not be spoken, to break whatever trance the two of you fell under every time you were in each other’s company.

“Congratulations, Narumiya-san.”

The screeching of a chair being pulled out pushed away the memory. Narumiya sat across from you at the table, blue eyes bright and cheeks rosy. He looked the same, though his hair looked more untamed and grown out, his blond locks brushing further down his nape and covering his forehead. Mei’s air held the same boyish-charm that had first pulled you in all those years ago.

“I didn’t know you were visiting,” he rested his cheek against his palm, staring at you shamelessly. “You should’ve texted me.”

The pout on his lips made you snort and lean in a hair closer to him.

“Sorry, I thought my message might get lost with all of your fan’s,” the corners of your mouth tugged into a smile. You missed teasing him like this.

You had considered texting him and the others from Inashiro, but you decided against it for whatever reason. Maybe you were nervous Narumiya would mistake your message for some fangirl’s, that he would skim over it with no care.

“Oh please, you’re acting like I forgot who you were. As if I could ever forget your scoldings during dinner,” he lifted his head from his hand and leaned in as well, a toothy grin making its way onto his mouth. He wasn’t wrong— you would smack his head during dinner when he wouldn’t finish his bowls of rice, accompanied with some harsh words.

“Besides, becoming a pro-athlete really hasn’t changed me. I’m as humble as ever!”

A laugh escaped your lips and your cheeks began to ache from smiling. Your face felt warm as you stared back at him, this feeling had long been dormant since you had last been around him. The way your heart beat against your chest made you want to cry. All of your feelings from high school came reeling back as the two of you sat inches apart across the table.

Narumiya held your half-lidded gaze, his head tilted downwards slightly and eyes peering through blond lashes. He was still able to captivate you with ease, much to your distaste. You opened your mouth to utter a word of retaliation when your name was suddenly called.

It was your order.

Standing up and breaking eye contact, you turned away from the seated Mei, ready to grab your order. That was, until a hand grabbed your wrist gently.

“Let’s keep talking,” Narumiya had rose and stared at you with round, puppy-dog eyes, “it’s been awhile.”

How could you reject his plea. No matter how hard you tried to resist, your heart would give in every single time to Narumiya.

Ghost in the Shell was inspired by @virgilisspidey's Two Souls AU, where 2012 Leonardo dies and ends up attached to Rise Leo's soul as a ghost.

Also inspired by @wondrous-art's The Familiar Stranger AU, where 2003 Donnie searches desperately for answers after SAINW and finds his missing future self coming through a portal to the canon time.

And finally, inspired by @b0t-4-bra1ns' How to Find Sunshine AU, where 2003 FF Raph and Cody fail to stop the Kanabo drones after the Freaks Come Out at Night and manage to escape through a portal into the Rise universe, cue Raph becoming Big Brother of All Time.

Writing GitS was mostly triggered by Bot's AU, because my brain connected Ibby's idea of SAINW Donnie being portaled away somewhere with portaled to Rise universe. Two Souls gave it the kind of vibe inspiration. (And Ghost's cloak). Ironically did not inspire the name Ghost, though, that just kind of came up naturally while I was writing.

Ghost does lots of things with the boys when they aren't causing mayhem! He loves just. Watching them do stuff. They're a distraction from his busy mind, and watching means he can sort of disconnect himself from the situation. They almost always drag him into it, though, which is good for him. He shouldn't just watch all the time.

Mikey makes Ghost help him cook sometimes, usually with baking. Ghost does measurements very precisely so he's pretty decent at it. Cooking confounds him but he can do it if he's got a written recipe, or Mikey's giving him instructions. He'll also draw with Mikey, even though it almost always comes out as blueprint-esque. He's not great at organic shapes.

He trains with Raph! Exercises with him, helps him get the energy out. Ghost will also watch him play games (he made Raph a controller that fits his hands since he's so gotdamn big). Raph almost always goes to Ghost to talk as well, especially when he's overwhelmed. Ghost never really knows what to say but he can offer comfort at least.

With Leo, Ghost does things like train, read comics with him, watch Lou Jitsu, and listen to Leo go off about his action figures. Ghost really likes listening to Leo talk. His Leonardo would only get into infodumping when he watched something like Star Trek with him, so it's nice to see this Leo ready to go off at any moment.

Ghost and Donnie are usually building something. Ghost likes watching him, likes teaching him. He'll check his work but have him do most of it unless he asks for help. Ghost really likes talking engineering with him. They'll make blueprints for things, Donnie tries to pry more machines Ghost has built out of his head but Ghost wants to encourage Donnie to make his own stuff.

Oooh, this looks fun! I guess I'll request for Court of Darkness. The first path I chose was Rio because he seemed like the only sane person at the time. I'm glad I did because he's a literal ray of sunshine and I could not ask for a better friend. I'm reading Guy's route (ew) for Aquia. He's just so sweet, and quite frankly the best part of reading either Guy or Jasper's path. When he said that I was his first love, I wanted so badly to requite his feelings. Can I have a fluffy romantic story with me and Aquia pls?

As for the info about me, I'm just gonna copy and paste what I wrote for one of my earlier requests so... Here ya go

Appearance: I am a 165 cm tall, average build, South Asian woman. I have wavy black hair that reaches my shoulders and I usually dress in South Asian attire, usually salwar-kameez. I also wear glasses. I don't really feel comfortable going out without them 😅

Personality: I'm pretty calm, collected and hard-working for the most part. People say I'm intelligent, quiet, and polite. I don't really show a whole lot of facial expressions, but I do feel things more deeply than people give me credit for. I also tend to get overwhelmed easily, especially when I'm in really noisy places for prolonged periods of time (Cries in neurodivergent. Maybe. IDK I've never been diagnosed. I'm just calling it symptoms disorder for now). When people get to know me, they say that I'm a good listener and that they feel safe to speak their mind to me. My favourite hobbies include reading, playing video games, listening to classical and lofi hip-hop, and making art. Someone also told me that my artworks also hold a sort of innocence in the composition of the shapes, colours and the overall vibe of what I draw/paint.

A Tale Where Aquia's Feelings are Requited, and Rio Helps it all go down

Rio had been there for you from the moment you set foot in the world. So he was also there to watch as you and Acquia started to fall for eachother. There were two problems though. The first was Acquia didn't have the confidence to confess his feelings. The , was that his big brother, whom he respected above all else, seemed to still think he could own you.

But Rio was a determined man. A determined man who thrived off making the people around him happy.

"Good work, mate! That dough is coming along nicely. Just need it for a couple more minutes and it should be good!"

Food brought people together, right? Well, by Rio's calculations, proving bread dough would keep people together for at least an hour.

"This is fun! Thanks for inviting me to bake with you," Acquia laughed, unperturbed by the flour covering his clothes.

"Hey Rio, what is it you wanted?"

Perfect timing. Right as they'd have to wait for the bread dough to rise, you arrived in the room.

"Hey! I was hoping you could draw a picture of Acquia for me. You know, since he's such a good friend I wanted to send a picture of him home so my father would know what he looks like."

It was a flimsy excuse at best. But he was hoping that with the simmering feelings you had for each other, neither of you would question him.

"Okay," you seemed hesitant, and Acquia was a blushing mess, but you were sitting down and taking out a notepad.

"I'll add color later, right now it'll just be a rough sketch. Just go about as normal, Acquia."

Acquia nodded, but seemed at a loss. But Rio was prepared for this.

"Oy! Rio! There's a weird weed we need to get out of the garden!"

Thoma rushed into the room with his pre-prepared excuse. It wasn't good acting, but it would suffice.

"Ah, I should see to that."

Both of you stood up, seemingly ready to help.

"No no, you guys have to stay here and watch the dough. Don't take it out of the drawer until it has at least doubled in size."

Then he and Thoma left you both, triumphant grins on their faces.

….

"I hope they're okay," Acquia muttered.

It had been quite a while since Rio and Thoma had left, and if you knew anything about Saligian plants, it was that it was very possible for them to eat humans. But you weren't going to upset Acquia.

"Rio's tough, I'm sure he's fine."

"Yeah, you're right. He probably got hungry and went out for a victory snack."

You finished up the final touches of your sketch, then set down your pencil.

"Okay, all done!"

You pushed the paper over to Acquia, and held back a giggle as he started blushing again.

"This is how you see me? I look so….I guess the word is sweet."

"Well yeah," you said matter of factly. "You're my sweet Acquia."

"Your Acquia?"

That's when you realized how it sounded, and got flustered yourself. Not that you meant it any other way, but you didn't know if he was ready for that.

"I…" he whispered, "I'd like to be yours."

"R-really?" You found yourself caught off guard.

"I mean….yeah. I like the idea of being your Acquia. It makes me feel," he blew out a frustrated breath, like he couldn't find the word he was looking for.

"I guess the idea of being yours makes me very happy," he finished, nodding to himself.

"Well, if you're mine, then I have to be yours. Those are the rules," you said, hoping to regain some of the footing he just knocked out from under you.

His smile was as bright as the sun as he gently took your hand and said, "I'd like that a lot. I'd be the happiest prince to ever live."

He frowned.

"I do have one request though. Can you draw a different picture of me for Rio? I want to keep this one."

….

That was a day of many firsts for Rio. Two of his best friends became paramours, and, for the first time in his life, he forgot he was baking bread.

Later, when you gave him the second picture of Acquia, he had also forgotten what the thing he needed it for was.

And that was what reminded you how great of a friend Rio could be.

to be so honest, making a decision on who to match you with took me a lot longer than it usually does. i went though so many options— hiori, kunigami, chigiri, nagi— and none of them fit in the way that i wanted them to. whenever i'd try to pair traits and interests, everything felt really forced and that's the last thing i want to when doing a personality pairing; but eventually i landed on reo! i think you and reo fit together very very well, and i'm pretty confident on that!

one thing that you and reo can mutually relate, is your need to achieve. you're both extremely ambitious people and when you have a goal, there's no stopping you until you reach it. reo knows that you understand that obsession and crave for success. he doesn't feel judged when he's overly passionate about something and talks about it for hours on end, knowing that you're listening to every word he says with an open mind. most people think he's crazy for believing he and nagi can be kings of the football world, but you don't think that. you don't think that at all. if anything, you're right next to him cheering him on; while also giving him a few small reality checks along the way.

1. Were you named after anybody?

My first name, no, not that I’m aware of. My middle name though is after the author of the book my mom was reading before she went into labor with me.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Uhm, I think last Thursday. I had to pick up the remains of my childhood dog from the vet, and the cremation service had made a little clay imprint of her paw. When I saw that along with the box of her ashes, I cried for several minutes. I imagine that later today, I will cry once my LSAT is finished lol.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope. My mom jokes that my dog is the closest she’ll ever get to grandchildren from me.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Only with good friends. I try to be as genuine as possible with people I’m not super familiar with or am just not close to. I think sometimes my line delivery is too sincere for people to differentiate when I joke.

5. What sports do you play/have played?

I’m not a super sporty person, but as a kid, I played soccer and baseball. I also did a lacrosse camp at one point, which at liked, but I’ve never really enjoyed competitive sports.

14. Favorite subject in school?

I loved my studio art class, I kinda had free reign to do whatever I wanted. In uni, I loved my Boccaccio class and my directing class.

15. Dream job?

I do not dream of labor…..but honestly if I could be a professional performer living a comfortable life without worry of a predatory work environment, that would be a dream. But I am perfectly content with my current track of hopefully going on to be a lawyer making a positive and fulfilling impact on the world, as well as doing my silly art things on the side.

I’m putting art tables for the kids in Fox’s studio, and it makes me think about how involved Fox and Taka are as parents. They’re very hands-on, and love to be with their children as much as possible. Taka gets to be near them all day at the daycare (until they’re old enough for school) and Fox gets his quality time after work

As much as Fox loves things to be aesthetic, he’d have absolutely no problem putting his kids’ wonky handmade holiday decorations up or sticking their drawings on the fridge. Taka thrives on the chaos of a busy household, and as much as he enjoys quiet, the sound of his kids isn’t really noise to him.

Fox is the parent who gets the kids involved in decorating for every holiday, teaches them to cook and bake, and does all the voices when he reads them stories. He’s the distributor of Band-Aids for scraped knees and organizer of doctor & dentist appointments

Taka is the one who plays sports and games with them, teaches them music and gardening, drives them everywhere, and somehow makes chores kind of fun.

I know way more details than strictly necessary about this family, including the number of children they’ll ultimately have (spoiler alert: it’s more than three when all’s said and done), and little personality facts and character snippets about each child. This is one of my few OC couples/families where there are multiple children, and where the child characters aren’t just storytelling props until they grow up sufficiently.

I kind of want to do a big spoiler-y family picture of them.
