Every one of my characters is on the “no” side. I can’t imagine a single one who’d say that cereal is a soup, even as a joke, much less have a heated discussion about it.
Maybe this should’ve been “Is a hot dog a sandwich?” because a few might actually debate that (although it still wouldn’t be a heated argument for anyone) 😆

Victor & Yuri ♥
It just occurred to me how often I dress them in matching outfits, usually the same pieces of clothing in different colours for each of them. In the context of the story, Yuri does pick out most of Victor's clothes, but I'm not sure I consciously realized I was doing this with their sim avatars.
I can easily imagine them walking into some menswear shop and Yuri seeing something he likes and then asking the sales associate, "Do you have this in teal in extra-large and purple in extra-small?" Meanwhile, Victor just stands there smiling with a "No worries... this is normal" expression on his face.

OC Deep Dive
Since @dandylion240 tagged me twice, I'm going to do this for two characters. Is anyone surprised that it's Victor and Yuri?
Victor Okamoto-Nelson
What uncommon/common fear do they have? He's terrified of thunderstorms, he’s afraid of getting injections and he's afraid of going to the dentist. Victor’s biggest fear is abandonment.
Do they have any pet peeves? One of his pet peeves is when people take his assigned employee parking space at the hospital and he has to park somewhere else. He also gets annoyed when Caroline puts empty milk or juice cartons back in the fridge instead of tossing them in the trash.
What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? His snowboard that he had when he won his FIS World Championship gold medal, his monster plushie that he's had since childood, and a little framed picture of himself and Yuri that he keeps on his bedside table.
What do they notice first in a person? Victor tends to notice people's fitness and their general appearance of health (or lack of it)
On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? Around a 6. Victor actually doesn't deal with physical pain very well.
Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? That really depends on the situation. He would fight if it meant protecting Yuri and Caroline, but he also dislikes confrontation and would much rather flee than fight.
Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? Victor comes from a small family. His parents only had him and his younger sister. After the death of his dad and sister in a car-pedestrian accident, it was just him and his mom from the time he was six years old. He is very much a family person, though. His family is extremely important to him and he's very close with his mother and stepfather and most of his aunts, uncles & cousins, and of course he's practically inseperable from Yuri and Caroline.
What animal represents them best? I would say a dog, probably something big, exuberant, funny and athletic, like a boxer. Victor is outgoing, loyal and protective.
What is a smell that they dislike? He doesn't like the scent of baby powder
Have they broken any bones? Yes. He's broken both his forearms and a rib (all at the same time), and his big toe on his right foot on a separate occasion.
How would a stranger likely describe them? Kind, compassionate and slightly too energetic
Are they a night owl or a morning bird? Victor is definitely a morning person. He nearly always wakes up between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., whether he has to or not.
What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? He doesn't like the taste of meal-replacement drinks. There was a point during which Yuri quite literally lived on them, and of course Victor had to taste-test them to satisfy his curiosity. He loves all kinds of foods and it'd be hard to for him to narrow it down, but he'd say his favourite thing to taste is his maternal grandmother's homemade ravioli.
Do they have any hobbies? Is snowboarding a hobby? He likes to read and play video games, and he really enjoys swimming and going mountain biking with his friend Davey.
Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? He would absolutely LOVE a surprise birthday party. Someone needs to throw one for him!
Do they like to wear jewelry? He doesn't have much jewelry, and wouldn't say he necessarily likes to wear jewelry, except for his two rings which he never takes off. He also has a tiny "gold medal" necklace that Yuri gave him after his World Championship win, which he'll wear on special occasions.
Do they have neat or messy handwriting? Victor's handwriting is messy, but it's improved over the years since he got his glasses.
What are two emotions they feel the most? happiness and compassion
Do they have a favorite fabric? Cotton and jersey
What kind of accent do they have? His accent is fairly neutral, as a person from Eastern Canada.

Yuri Okamoto-Nelson
What uncommon/common fear do they have? He's afraid of most insects, but most especially spiders, and he's afraid of being restrained. He's slightly claustrophobic as well.
Do they have any pet peeves? One of his pet peeves is when Victor forgets to get out a new toilet roll to use after he uses up the last of the toilet tissue on the old one. He also gets annoyed by people who question whether he's really disabled when they find out he runs his own business and enjoys doing physical exercise.
What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? His medications, his jewelry box and a small framed picture of himself and Victor
What do they notice first in a person? Yuri typically notices how people dress and how they present themselves. He also notices people's voices.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? Yuri's pain threshold is exceptionally high, and he'd put it around a 9 out of 10. He's almost constantly between level 1-2 pain, to the point where it doesn't even interfere that much with his daily life. On days when his pain is worse, he's almost too good at hiding it and just getting on with things. Yuri's pain has to be really bad before he'll even admit to it, and it has to be epic before he'll stop trying to push through it.
Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? Surprisingly, Yuri is more likely to fight, although there was a time when he would not have said that about himself at all. He'd prefer to avoid confrontation or a scary or stressful situation, but he's courageous and doesn't typically back down from things once he's set his mind to facing them.
Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? Yuri's familiy is average-sized. He's the oldest of three. He would say he's a family person now, but that wasn't always the case. He had a very difficult relationship with his father for a long time and didn't want to be associated with him, but they have since reconciled and are much closer now. Yuri adores his in-laws, Grace and Julian, and thinks of them as his "bonus parents".
What animal represents them best?
The crane. In Japanese culture, the crane is a symbol for hope and peace, among other things. Hope and peace are things Yuri has worked hard to find in his life, and now he's happy and prosperous (two more aspects of crane symbolism)
What is a smell that they dislike? He hates the scent of bacon.
Have they broken any bones? No
How would a stranger likely describe them? Reserved and proper
Are they a night owl or a morning bird? He's really neither of those, but if he had to pick, he'd say night owl.He doesn't do mornings.
What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? A flavour he hates is the flavour of broccoli. He absolutely loves the taste of strawberries.
Do they have any hobbies? Yuri plays the violin. He also writes (although now that he's making money off it, is it still a hobby?). He loves to do yoga, go swimming, and do his cardio workouts when he's feeling up to it.

He would not like a surprise birthday party at all. He likes his birthday and he likes to have a small birthday gathering each year, but he doesn't like unexpected social events.
Do they like to wear jewelry? Yes. Yuri has a lot of jewelry and he likes to wear different pieces all the time. He also has his two rings, which match with Victor's two, that he never takes off. Other than his rings, his most-worn piece of jewelry is his snowflake bracelet that Victor gave him for his 25th birthday.
Do they have neat or messy handwriting? His handwriting is neat and precise.
What are two emotions they feel the most? determination and contentment
Do they have a favorite fabric? He loves soft flannel.
What kind of accent do they have? When Yuri speaks English, he has a British accent. This is because he first started learning English from his father (who learned it in the UK), and then from his live-in tutor Jack, who was from the UK. He doesn't think he has an accent in Japanese, which is his first language.

Just for fun, I did it for some of my OCs as well.
Victor's and Yuri's are actually perfect. I love how Victor's is all blue and silver like him, and if Yuri got to pick his own colours they'd all be deep pinks and vibrant purples like that (with the possible exception of that neon-looking one at the end). Caroline's was... unexpected. I absolutely love the colours, but I was kind of hoping hers would be pink lol.
I saw @changingplumbob and a couple other people doing this. Nobody tagged me, but it looked cool so I thought I'd try it. The challenge was to have this site generate a palette based on your name.
My real name is Sapphire, so it's probably no surprise my palette looks like this:
I also decided to do one for my dog, because... why not? Her name is Sailor, and this is hers. I'm kinda in love with it:

My baby boys ♥
Okay... in the context of their universe, they're actually my age now, but they're still my babies. it took me over two years to complete their "journey of discovery" story, and I love how they ended up.
What I don't like is how I started their story on here. They were OCs before they were sims, and sadly I tried to force them into gameplay to tell a story. Nobody liked it; not me and not them, and consequently the first several parts of their story are ultimate cringe. Sadly, it took me a minute to figure that out.
I'm kind of thinking of re-working everything before Journal Entry #8 to give the story better cohesion, and maybe then I'll start reposting it, considering I started it in 2021. The events at the beginning of the story wouldn't change, only the way it's written and presented (and I think I would take the screenshots out). I think only about 2-3 people actually read it anyway, so perhaps editing and re-posting might be an interesting experiment.
For anyone who's new, they are not fandom/fanfiction characters. They just happen to share superficial characteristics with a certain pair. Victor mentions this at the beginning of their story, and I have also explained it in more detail here.
Anyway, this post really had no point other than to show off these two screenshots of Victor and Yuri from this morning.

IRL stuff…
I had a very traumatic 3-hour meeting with my boss yesterday. It was bad, and I was in a very unsafe headspace and a massive amount of physical (psychosomatic) pain when I left there.
I saw a nurse practitioner today and she put me off work for two weeks, referred me to comprehensive care, and wants to reevaluate me in two weeks.
I sent my medical leave letter to my boss. He appeared to take it well, or maybe he was just pretending, but at this point I don’t even care what he thinks.
I already feel a little better.

Oooh boy… Anon! Thanks for this one. Victor and Yuri are both on the asexual spectrum, so I hope you’re not disappointed by that section. Anyway… here we go with another epic question list!
It'll be under a cut like the other ones I've answered because, as you know by now, this list is super long.

Disagreements:
Who is more likely to raise their voice? They're equally likely to raise their voices. They both dislike shouting and being shouted at, but they also both have tempers.
Who threatens to leave but never actually does? They've both threatened to leave at some point, but neither of them ever has.
Who actually keeps their word and leaves? Neither
Who trashes the house? Neither
Do either of them get physical? Yuri has pushed Victor in the past during an argument, but never very hard. It wasn’t in a way that was meant to hurt him but rather to put physical distance between them. He hasn't done that since the early days of their relationship though. Victor has never put his hands on Yuri in any way Yuri didn't consent to.
How often do they argue/disagree? They argue less than they used to, but they're still capable of some epic arguments on occasion. They're both stubborn, and they've never managed to get rid of that trait. They disagree often, but they're a lot better at handling it maturely and quietly now than they were at the beginning of their relationship.
Who is the first to apologise? This depends on who's in the wrong They've both gotten much better at recognizing when an apology is necessary.
Sex:
Who is on top? Who is on the bottom? I'm combining these because there is no top and no bottom in this relationship. Yuri and Victor are both on the asexual spectrum. Yuri is asexual homoromantic, and Victor is grey-ace panromantic. What they consider as "sex" would not meet most non-asexual people's definition of sex. Yuri has issues with physical touch, and can't tolerate being touched at all on certain parts of his body, but when he's in the right frame of mind for physical contact he really enjoys being touched and kissed everywhere he can tolerate. Victor is far more receptive to touch and lets Yuri do what he does best. Yuri is very clever with his hands and can usually give Victor more than enough physical pleasure without either of them needing to do things that make them uncomfortable.
Who has the strangest desires? Neither of them have strange desires.

Who’s dominant in bed? It may come as a surprise to some people that the answer to this question is Yuri. Victor is perfectly happy to let Yuri be in control.

Who moans the most? They're both noisy and vocal in bed
Who leaves the most marks? They'd never intentionally leave marks on each other.
Who screams the loudest? Neither of them screams exactly, but Victor can be very loud when he reaches a climax
Who is the more experienced of the two? Victor. He had three other partners before he and Yuri got into a relationship. Yuri only had one partner before Victor.
Do they ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’? They'd definitely refer to it as "making love"
Rough or soft? Soft. Victor is extremely gentle with Yuri, and although Yuri is a bit less gentle (because Victor can tolerate it and likes some assertiveness), he's still careful to check and make sure Victor is comfortable. Yuri is a survivor of sexual abuse from his previous partner and he'd be terrified if Victor was even the least bit rough with him, but Victor is fully aware of that. He knows how and where Yuri likes to be touched, and he knows to stop immediately if Yuri asks him to. Yuri trusts him completely and rarely asks him to stop any more. Their "sex life" may be unconventional, but it works perfectly for them and they're very happy with their soft, slow lovemaking.
How long do they usually last? They really enjoy taking their time, and they can easily spend a couple of hours in bed.

Does it ever get boring? Not at all. Some people might assume it would, but they enjoy it every time.
Where is the strangest place they’d have sex? They don't do it in strange places, honestly. They tend to keep it to their bed, the bathtub, the sofa, and occasionally in a hot tub or on the floor (Yuri dislikes doing it on the floor, but Victor likes it, so they might start on the floor and move to a piece of furniture at some point)

Do your muses plan on having children/or have children? They didn't originally plan to, but they have one now.
If so, how many children do your muses want/have? They have one adopted child. Her name is Caroline
Who is the favorite parent? Victor
Who is the authoritative parent? Neither is particularly authoritative, but Caroline would say it's Yuri.
Who is more likely to allow the children to have a day off school? Neither, unless there's a really good reason.
Who lets the children indulge in sweets and junk food when the other isn’t around? Neither. Caroline doesn't really like junk food, and both Yuri and Victor let her have what she wants when she does want it.
Who turns up to extra curricular activities to support their children? Caroline is into sports, so Victor is usually the one who takes her to practice and supports her athletic goals, but Yuri supports her in his own way and he never misses one of Caroline's swimming competitions.
Who goes to parent teacher interviews? They both go if they can, but Victor does shift work at the hospital and sometimes can't go, so it's left to Yuri.
Who changes the diapers? They adopted Caroline when she was six, so no one had to change any diapers.
Who gets up in the middle of the night to feed the baby? They didn't have her as a baby (see previous question)
Who spends the most time with the children? They spend about equal time with her.

Who likes to cuddle? They both love to cuddle. Victor is always ready for cuddles and when Yuri isn't having a moment of touch-aversion, he's super clingy with Victor.

Who struggles to keep their hands to themselves? Victor
How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable? It depends on where they are. They can cuddle in bed for a long time, but they usually get uncomfortable after half an hour or so if they're sitting on the sofa
Who gives the most kisses? Victor. His favourite spot to kiss Yuri is on the back of his neck, and Yuri loves it.
What is their favourite non-sexual activity? Yuri likes to walk around holding Victor's arm like they're characters in a Victorian novel. As for actual activities, one of their favourite things to do is curl up in bed and take turns reading to each other. They also like going on long walks together.
Where is their favourite place to cuddle? In bed
Who is more likely to playfully grope the other? Victor, although he's not likely to do it often because Yuri wouldn't really like it.
How often do they get time to themselves? Before they adopted Caroline, they could have alone time whenever they wanted, but now they consciously have to build regular alone time into their routine. They get enough time together that they don't feel like they're neglecting each other, so it's fair to say they get time to themselves often enough to be healthy and happy in their marriage.
Sleeping:
Who snores? They both do
If both do, who snores the loudest? Victor
Do they share a bed or sleep separately? They each have their own room. They sleep together most nights, in one bed or the other, but Yuri isn't always comfortable sharing. Sometimes it's just because he's having an off day and can't tolerate physical contact, and sometimes it's because of his chronic illness. If he's having a bad flare-up and he's in a lot of pain, he prefers to be in his own bed because he might be in it for days at a time. He doesn't like the idea of his tossing and turning due to his pain to disturb Victor's chance to rest and sleep.
If they sleep together, do they cozy up together or lay far apart? When they sleep together, they like to cuddle while they're falling asleep.

What do they wear to bed? Victor usually sleeps in his underwear or gym shorts, either with a tank top or without. Yuri likes cozy PJs, and he's very fond of onesies.

Can sleeping pills be found by the bedside? Yes, in Yuri's room. He doesn't use them regularly, but sometimes he can't get comfortable enough to sleep and he needs a little help.
Do they wrap their limbs around each other or just lay side by side? They wrap their limbs around each other. Yuri is notorious for literally laying on top of Victor and clinging like a koala. He can fall asleep like that, and then Victor has to gently roll him off onto his own side of the bed.
Who wakes up with bed hair? They both do, although Yuri would never admit he does.
Who wakes up first? Victor. He's a total morning person.

What is their favourite sleeping position? They both like to sleep on their back

Any routines/rituals before bed? Victor doesn't really have a routine other than brushing his teeth. Yuri has an elaborate skincare routine that he likes to do before bed.

Who is the busiest? They're both quite busy, but we'll go with Yuri being the busiest because he has his own company.
Who rakes in the highest income? It used to be Victor, but now that Yuri's communications firm is well-established, Yuri's income is higher.
Are any of your muses unemployed? No, they both work
Who takes the most sick days? Yuri. He has a chronic illness, and the number of sick days he has to take are sometimes beyond his control.
Who is more likely to turn up late to work? Yuri, but it's okay because he's the boss.
Who sucks up to their boss? Neither. Yuri is his own boss and Victor thinks of his supervisor as his "work mom" and feels absolutely no need to suck up to her.
What are their jobs? Victor is a paediatric nurse. Yuri is a public relations and communications professional and owns his own small communications firm, BRAVE Communications.
Who stresses the most? They both have their own stresses, and it'd be hard to say who stresses the most.
Do your muses enjoy or despise their careers/occupations? They both really enjoy their careers. They like the challenges their jobs provide and feel fulfilled by their work.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? These two are almost literally never away from each other. The few times they've been apart, Victor was a complete emotional wreck and Yuri wasn't much better (although he was better at hiding it). They're apart when they're at work, obviously, but they'd never leave town or travel without the other one. They even both go to Caroline's out-of-town swim competitions, and when Victor goes to other places for a weekend of professional development, Yuri comes too and just hangs out at the hotel.
Where did they first meet? They met online, on a forum for snowboarding enthusiasts.
How did they first meet? They met when Victor saw a photo Yuri had posted of himself posing with his snowboard. Victor commented on the picture with "You're cute! ♥" Quickly realizing this might've been kind of inappropriate, Victor sent him a private message to introduce himself. Yuri ignored it at first because he was a little put off by how forward Victor was, but when he was telling one of his friends about it later, his friend asked him if he realized who Victor was. It took Yuri a minute to come to the realization that he'd gotten a message from an international-level snowboarding competitor. He replied to Victor's message the next day, still a little dubious, but after they'd exchanged a few more messages Yuri was feeling much better about the interaction.
Eventually, they moved off the private messaging feature on the forum and exchanged emails, texts and phone calls instead. They met in November, and by February, they'd mutually decided it was no longer just a friendship, but a partner relationship. They were long-distance for three years before Victor moved to Japan. They got married in Japan nearly two years after Victor arrived.
A year later, Victor brought Yuri back to Canada with him. They've been going strong ever since.
Who spends the most money when out shopping? Yuri. According to Victor, he's a shopaholic.
Who’s more likely to flash their assets? Neither on purpose, but I can totally see Victor doing it inadvertently and then being super embarrassed about it.
Who finds it amusing when the other trips over? They both do, but they both feel incredibly guilty about finding it funny because they're also super protective of each other.
Any mental issues? They both have past trauma that the've been working through, and Yuri used to have mild to moderate issues with anxiety, but neither of them has a mental illness.
Who’s terrified of bugs? Yuri

Do they have any fears for their future? Their mutual biggest fear is of one of them losing the other through illness or accident. More of a worry than a fear is how difficult it might be for Caroline to be independent with her disability.
Who’s more likely to surprise the other with a fancy dinner? Victor if he's doing the cooking, and Yuri if he wants to take Victor out for date night.
Who uses up all of the hot water? Yuri
Who’s the tallest? Victor. He's 185cm compared to Yuri who is 165cm
Who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other? They often shower together, but if they're showering separately, Yuri is more likely to sneak into the shower with Victor.

Who sings the loudest when singing along to the radio? Victor, and he's a terrible singer
What do they tease each other about? Victor is notorious for teasing Yuri about the time he threw up in Victor's bed. Yuri teases Victor about how easily distracted he is and how he loses random things. They have quite a few inside jokes as well.
Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times? Yuri is more likely to cringe at Victor's fashion sense. Victor will go to the grocery store directly from work and still be in his scrubs out in public, or he'll wear sweatpants or gym shorts literally anywhere. Yuri likes to tease that if he didn't pick out Victor's clothes for him, he could never be seen in public with him. Victor doesn't mind letting Yuri pick out his clothes though. Yuri always makes sure he looks good, and he actually likes to look good. His problem isn't that he doesn't know better, but that he has a hard time thinking about putting together nice outfits. One of their inside jokes is that when Victor first came to live with Yuri, he had seven identical pairs of grey socks because it was too much of a challenge for him to match them. Victor is highly intelligent, but his brain seems to have designated some tasks as "not important" and he really struggles with them even if they're simple.
Do they have mutual friends? Yes. Fox Abbottsford and Takahiro Suzuki are mutual friends of theirs. Yuri and Taka grew up together, and Victor met him while living with Yuri in Japan. They met Taka's spouse Fox later, and the two couples now spend a lot of time together. They're also mutual friends with Davian St-Jean and Félix Blanchet. Victor and Davian grew up together. Victor's cousin Leo DeLuca and his wife Ellie Britt-Deluca are also mutual friends of theirs. Yuri’s childhood friend Seiji Hinamori and his wife Sachiko, Victor’s former coach Sakura Fujimoto and her husband Takeshi Yamazaki, and Victor’s former teammate/coach Davey Duke and his partner Lindsey Chen are also mutual friends.
Who crushed first? Victor
Any alcohol or substance related problems? No. Victor doesn't drink caffeine or alcohol, and has never smoked or used non-prescription drugs. Yuri drinks a lot of coffee and he drinks alcohol sometimes, but it's definitely not a substance use problem. Yuri has never smoked or used non-prescription drugs either.
Who is more likely to stumble home drunk at 3am? Neither of them
Who swears the most? Neither of them swears a lot, but Victor swears more than Yuri does.
