AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LILIA SILVER AND SEBEK LOOK SO GOOD HERE 🤡 I love how Silver and Sebek are constantly shown flanking Lilia, it really enhances the bodyguard/knight vibes! Every time Lilia appears, he always looks like he's having so much fun. Lil' guy is living it up in every panel! Especially when he appears upside down to spook Ruggie.

A detail I love here is that, from Leona's perspective, all the faces of his dorm members are sorta blotted out... which is interesting seeing as how it was stated that Mrs. Rosehearts' face was intentionally blotted since she is considered the source of Riddle's trauma + the light novel tells us that Leona fears seeing hope and desperation for a better future in others because it might motivate him to try again, thus prompting another failure or rejection... 😭

This was my favorite part!! Ace excitedly talks about how he's always been interested in merfolk since he was little (lie) and how he saved up all his money to come to this museum (also a lie)... One of the 4koma this month is about Octavinelle going on a camping trip! Azul wants to study the stars for money-making ideas/inspiration.

When talking about auroras, they're reminded of the Diasomnia students and think about making an aurora-colored drink to sell to them. The Octatrio also star-gaze and talk about aliens + selling octopus to them. They discuss the idea of filling a space suit with water and fish to they can walk in space too.

The other 4koma is about Trey brushing the mouths of his mandrake (as they have no teeth but dirt). He insists that everyone should have a clean oral cavity.

You can even tell which mandrake is Trey’s because it has a bunch of toothbrushes stuck in its pot 🪥

Jamil was planning on using his own mandrake to make an ancient remedy for relieving toothache. Trey is uh… interested… and attempts to test out the healing toothpaste for himself (Jamil of course stops him).

What kind of flowers would they give you?

Summary: What flower they would give you and why

Characters: All NRC students (Ortho is platonic)

Warning: none

Riddle Rosehearts:

Red roses. He knows the language of flowers. It may be classic, but there’s a reason for that. Red roses symbolize love, romance, admiration and passion, so it’s the perfect flower for him to give to you. It’s also helpful that he has a maze full of them. When he doesn’t have one on him, he’ll pluck one off of the rose bushes.

Trey Clover:

Pink aster. Like Riddle, he knows the language of flowers. Aster symbolizes love, patience, loyalty, and awe. A pink aster adds the meaning of innocence and affection. Not only does Trey feel that the meaning matches how he feels about you, but he also thinks that they match your beauty exactly. He’d give you the flowers along with something he baked you.

Cater Diamond:

Red gardenia. Cater knows very little about the language of flowers, so he asked Trey and Riddle about it. Red gardenia’s symbolize passion, admiration and respect. They can also be a way of saying “I love you.” He found it fitting to give to you.

Ace Trappola:

Roses of any color. He doesn’t know the language of flowers and doesn’t really care. He just takes any color rose and gives it to you. Might even get you a bouquet of different colored roses. All he knows is that people like getting roses.

Deuce Spade:

Red hyacinth. He doesn’t know the language of flowers, so he asks his mom. Red hyacinth’s represent a light kind of love and playfulness. When he’s with you he feels lighter than ever and he loves horsing around with you (Only if you’re okay with it). So, red hyacinth’s are the perfect flower choice.

Leona Kingscholar:

Honeysuckle. Believe it or not, Leona knows about the language of flowers. Honeysuckles symbolize affection and everlasting love. He chose them because he loves you, and he’ll love you forever.

Ruggie Bucchi:

Dandelions. He doesn’t know the language of flowers and doesn’t know what dandelions mean. He gets them because he can find a lot around the school and they’re edible. He’s given them to you as the flowers and has used them to make food for you.

Jack Howl:

Primrose. Jack knows about the language of flowers. Primroses represent young love. He thinks it’s fitting seeing as you two are young and in love.

Azul Ashengrotto:

Forget-me-not. He knows the language of flowers and is very happy that he does now that he’s dating you. Forget-me-not’s as their name suggests are a way of saying that you’ll never forget someone and they also symbolize true love. He gives them to you as a way of saying that he’ll never forget you, and that his love for you is true.

Jade Leech:

Dahlia. Jade, of course, knows about the language of flowers. Dahlia’s symbolize beauty, eternal love, and standing out in a crowd. He thinks your beauty makes you stand out in a crowd, and he’ll love you eternally.

Floyd Leech:

Any and all. He doesn’t know about the language of flowers and doesn’t care. He only gives you flowers when he’s in a good mood. He’s just going to grab the first flower he sees and give it to you. He doesn’t care what it means. To him it’s a show of love and that’s all that matters.

Kalim Al-Asim:

Your favorite. He asks for your favorite flower and will buy you the biggest bouquet ever. He doesn’t know or care what they mean. They’re your favorite and that’s all he cares about. Before buying you flowers, he’ll ask if you have a new favorite. He just wants you to be happy and feel loved.

Jamil Viper:

Red salvia. Jamil knows about the language of flowers, because of course he does. Red salvia is meant to carry the message of “forever mine.” Jamil loves you and hopes you’ll be his forever.

Vil Schoenheit:

Pink hibiscus. Vil knows the language of flowers and makes sure to put it to good use. Pink hibiscuses represent beauty and young love. Vil considers you and himself beautiful and the young love part is self explanatory.

Rook Hunt:

Heliotrope. Rook knows about the language of flowers. Heliotropes symbolize eternal love and devotion. He’s devoted to you and will love you till the end of time.

Epel Felmier:

Any kind you want. He doesn’t know the language of flowers and doesn’t care. He just asks what kind of flower you want and he’ll get them for you. He’ll get whatever kind of flower you want. Just ask and he’ll get it.

Idia Shroud:

Plastic. He knows the language of flowers, but he’s not getting real ones. He’s not going out and getting flowers, and getting flowers shipped over could take who knows how long. He’ll just order a bouquet of plastic flowers. Any kind you want. Even better, they don’t die. You won’t have to throw them out because they’re wilting. You can just keep them forever.

Ortho Shroud (Platonic):

Chrysanthemums. Ortho knows the language of flowers, and even if he didn’t he could look it up in a matter of seconds. Chrysanthemums represent friendship. You’re his best friend so of course he’s going to give you flowers. And of course those flowers are going to represent your friendship.

Malleus Draconia:

Red roses. Of course THE Malleus Draconia knows the language of flowers. He will give you a big bouquet of them too. He’ll give you 50 at least. He will spare no expense for his beloved child of man.

Lilia Vanrouge:

Every one he comes across. Lilia knows the language of flowers, however that doesn’t mean he’ll make sure to get a certain flower. He’ll just make sure he doesn’t give you one that means something bad. Wherever he goes, if he sees a flower, he’ll pick it and make sure to give it to you later. Depending on how much he did that day, he might present you with one flower or 100.

Silver Vanrouge:

Daisy. Lilia taught Silver the language of flowers. Daisies symbolize innocence and loyal love. Silver is loyal to you and he loves you. His love for you can be seen as innocent and it is. Nothing and I mean NOTHING can make him not love you.

Sebek Zigvolt:

Red roses. He, like the rest of Diasomnia, knows the language of flowers. Red roses are fitting since they represent love. He wouldn’t give you any other flower. Nothing would be more fitting for how he feels about you.

in front of you was a piece of paper— a piece of paper that had the names of all 7 dorms on it, arranged in random order.

“well, here goes nothing.” you placed your finger on a random name. “eeny, meeny, miny, moe, catch a tiger by it’s toe..”

grim watched in anticipation as your hand flicked between the dorms, sitting on the edge of his seat as the rhyme started coming to an end. you smiled as you let out that final “moe”.

“that settles it! we better go and tell our new dorm leader the news, hm?”

heartslabyul

riddle is over here acting like he expected this from the beginning when he and everyone else knows how much he didn’t. if anyone talks about how uneasy he actually was, it’ll be off with their head!

trey is really surprised— he was sure ace, deuce, and riddle’s overbearingness would have made you immediately eliminate heartslabyul as an option. he’s glad you made the choice you did though, the dorm will benefit from having another sensible person.

cater’s super excited!! new dorm mate! now come closer so he can snap a “welcome to heartslabyul” pic, he’s gotta remember this moment! he’ll send it to you later~!

ace is like riddle, except he did expect this from the beginning. while you were carrying some of your stuff to your new room, he decided to sneak attack you and threw himself on your back, making you drop all your bags— a great start to your time in the dorm.

deuce is in disbelief, you! chose!! heartslabyul! he was starting to have his doubts on if ace’s plan was really gonna work or not, but looks like it did! and him, being the great guy he is, helped you out a ton with moving in and setting your things up.

POSITIVES : there’s never a boring day (a fancy way to say it’s always chaotic), almost always getting off the hook because turns out riddle has a serious case of favoritism towards you, getting to bake with trey, tending to all the cute animals, and of course, tea parties with everyone.

NEGATIVES : it’s hard to get some alone time, keeping up with dorm duties, ace always coming into your room uninvited, and having to do extra studying about the queen of hearts + her rules. all 810 of them.

savanaclaw

when you told leona, you were confused by his reaction— which was borderline maniacal sounding laughter. turns out he was just thinking about how hard he’s gonna make fun of vil and malleus for losing the competition.

ruggie let out a biiig sigh of relief when you told him. it was looking like you were favoring some of the other dorms over savanaclaw, you had him worried!

jack didn’t really know how to go about welcoming you. he ended up just gifted you a little cactus he grew. it’s super cute, it’s got pink flowers on it!

POSITIVES : following jack on his daily runs, helping out ruggie with chores or whatever else he might need help with, hanging out with leona in his room, and being able to do just about whatever you want as long as it doesn’t cause trouble!

NEGATIVES : it’s overbearingly hot, lowkey smells like sweat 24/7, and most of the residents are hotheads. and very strong. which is a dangerous combo— so you have to be careful to not piss them off, and if you do, you gotta run. or you could take them on if you’re just built like that!

octavinelle

looks like azul has a new employee! you’re thrown into action right away, he’s showing you all the ins and outs of working at mostro lounge— and bam, you’re in uniform serving people fancy drinks. welcome to octavinelle!

jade is very pleased, promising that you won’t regret your choice. which you may or may not. he’s just excited to see how long it takes until a catastrophe strikes.

it’s hard to shake off floyd after he found out you were joining his dorm. you’re just tryna do your job, serving orders, but floyd wants to get you to follow him around the dorm so he can show you all the neat things about it. eventually you cave in, let’s hope you’re back before azul notices!

life in octavinelle

POSITIVES : getting free food from mostro lounge, making cute terrariums with jade when you both have spare time, floyd making work hours feel shorter, and azul being a surprisingly decent boss.

NEGATIVES : working at mostro lounge is not optional, having to worry about shady people (just about everyone in octavinelle), the twins deciding to bother you for no reason, and having to deal with floyd’s NDE inducing squeezes 2x more frequently than normal.

scarabia

because of kalim, everyone in the school will find out about you choosing scarabia within like a day— he’s shouting about it from the rooftops. (lowkey rubbing it in everyone’s faces.)

jamil politely bows and lets you know that he’s glad you chose them. the reaction might’ve been a little underwhelming, but he’s very happy. he also really wishes kalim was in a different dorm so he could subtle brag about it to him.

life in scarabia

POSITIVES : this is by far the dorm with the friendliest residents, parties just about every day, jamil’s cooking, kalim helping you out financially, and being able to just relax with jamil in silence when you get exhausted by the parties.

NEGATIVES : like mentioned above, the parties can get exhausting, another dorm with overbearing heat, and the boys bring up their concerns about poisoned food and other dangers a lot, which obviously gets you a teensy bit paranoid.

pomefiore

hah, just like vil expected! now he knows for sure you’ve got a good head on your shoulders, choosing pomefiore. thank goodness you didn’t choose savanaclaw— he shudders at the thought of you in the middle of such an unruly place.

ever so dramatic, rook throws himself in your arms. with his hand on his forehead, he starts to ramble about how happy he is and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.

epel is super relieved; he thought he totally blew pomefiore’s chances. but that aside, he’s gonna go out of his way to help you with adjusting to pomefiore, all the new routines and lessons probably gonna be a bit to take in for you. despite you being someone vil is fond of, he knows the dorm leader won’t take it too much easier on you.

POSITIVES : seeing great improvements in your skin with each day thanks to vil’s products, bonding with epel over your shared pomefiore-related struggles, and becoming the person who probably knows the most about rook in the school.

NEGATIVES : having vil breathing down your neck nearly 24/7, a good bunch of your fellow residents are snooty, and rook stalking you. if you ever feel watched, just point in the opposite direction, yell something along the lines of “is that leona??” (or floyd, ruggie, anyone rook finds interesting will work really), and book it.

ignihyde

you sent idia the news over text, and when he read it, he screamed— like, the whole dorm heard it, probably thinks there’s a threat, and he’s gonna have to clarify there’s no danger + issue an apology to everyone kind-of-scream.

POSITIVES : you get as much alone time as you need with not a soul judging you, godly wifi, and you actually learn a lot about engineering, technology, and such!

NEGATIVES : you break something? you gotta pay up for it— and everything here is high tech and costs a fortune. and the other residents are pretty difficult to work/get along with, so you might have a little trouble making friends in your dorm. plus there’s a little too many of them that smell like axe body spray :’(

diasomnia

malleus smiles so wide, it’s so wholesome! and a little scary. but he starts dragging you around the dorm, no real idea where he’s going to take you, and not caring either— he’s just so overjoyed right now!

lilia is the one who informs you about the dorm! he tells you about the history of it, what the students are like, all that jazz. he decides to drop the boring talk after he sees how you disinterested you are though, deciding to go and show you what your first dorm duty is. it’ll be fun, he promises!

sebek is glad that you were finally able to see diasomnia is the best dorm! you get upgraded from a simple ‘human’ to ‘human with considerably great intelligence’, good on you!

poor silver was a bit late to the party, finding out about all this much later than everyone else did. when he finally found out, he gave you a gentle hug. a warm welcome.

POSITIVES : being proud of yourself every day knowing you saved the school from malleus’ wrath by choosing diasomnia, getting into mischief with lilia, messing with sebek, naps with silver, and having the pleasure of being packed with knowledge on gargoyles.

NEGATIVES : sebek is almost always yelling and you have yet to develop a tolerance to it, being surrounded by super magically gifted people is a teensy bit intimidating, and lilia’s cooking.

🌹Riddle Rosehearts- Riddle’s favorite body part of his partner is your lips. He loves the way they're soft and full, and how they look when you're smiling or kissing. He's a fan of how smooth and plush your lips are, and he recently found the courage to tease you by gently nibbling on them.

👟Floyd Leech- He stays up late at night thinking about your tummy. He loves the way it feels under his hands, and he often rubs it when you are cuddling together. He gives it little kisses and can rest his head on it for hours, if you allow it.

He often tells you how cute your cheeks are and how it’s one of the things that makes you so endearing and adorable to him.

🐍Jamil Viper- He can get lost in your eyes for hours. He loves the way they sparkle with intelligence and curiosity, and how they always convey so much emotion without words. Sometimes, when he’s staring in your eyes, he wonders if he’s not the only one that can hypnotize.

🪞Vil Schoenheit- He’s always been a fan of long, elegant legs. And your legs are no exception. He loves the way they look in shorts or skirts, feeling proud whenever you show them off. Especially when you wear heels. Please don’t take them off tonight.

🏹Rook Hunt- Your smell will drive him nuts. He loves the way you smell like your favorite perfume, and how it lingers on his clothes after you hug. He can’t sleep at night before taking in your scent and will give you late night visits if he hasn't got the chance to take a sniff today.

🍎Epel Felmier- He likes everything about your body, as long as it’s petite. He loves the way you’re smaller than him, finally making him feel strong and protective. He will be the bigger spoon and he can’t help but feel proud everytime you lay in his arms.

💀Idia Shroud- Your hands are the most beautiful thing to Idia. He often yearns for your touch. When you are holding his hand it makes him feel secure, like he can conquer any dungeon. He loves the way they’re so much smaller than his hands and how soft they are. Truly SSR tier hands!

🤖Ortho Shroud- There was one thing he was immediately captivated by when he first met you: your smile. The way you light up a room when you laugh, how your cheeks create dimples with the slightest touch of serenity on your face. One day he hopes to give you back a smile just as real as that.

🐉Malleus Draconia- Your collarbones are something that truly makes this dragon spit fire. He loves the way it's a subtle and delicate feature, and how it adds to your overall elegance and beauty. Make sure to cover it up from time to time, because he can’t help but leave hickeys all over them.

🦇Lilia Vanrouge- He is enamored and captivated by your hair, however you style it. The way it falls soft in waves or curls, and how it feels when he runs his fingers through it. He always finds new ways to compliment your hairdo making you feel secure and confident. But what truly drives his mind crazy is when he’s allowed to teasingly pull it while making love.

💤Silver- If he had to choose one thing about you it would be your nose. The way it looks when you scrunch it up in a cute expression. He can’t help but often boop your nose playfully. You two rub noses together as a greeting, making his stomach fill with butterflies.

SUMMARY: Riddle & Azul with an academic rival!!

WARNINGS: None!!

COMMENTS: omg i love you for this!!! this is one of my favorite tropes ever and these two are so emotionally constipated they wouldn't know what to do with themselves. i hope you have a lovely day too anon <33 and im so glad you like how i write them hehe azul is the loml so it means a lot when people say that!!

Riddle doesn’t know what to do about you. He feels so incredibly frustrated every single time you score higher than him on a test because he should be better. How can he pride himself in being Heartslabyul’s Housewarden if he can’t even be at the top of his class?

So what does he do with that frustration? He studies harder and harder because clearly he isn’t trying hard enough. His health deteriorated, and if it wasn’t for Trey, Riddle would be even more of a wreck.

Then he finally does it. All of that work culminates into Riddle finally scoring a point higher than you on his Magical History exam. He stares at the board smugly, really admiring his name above yours (which is how it should be, in his mind.)

You approach the board too, and he expects you to say something about how you’ll score higher than him next time or how you can’t believe he’s finally beaten you, but instead, you nod cheerfully and walk away.

You just walk away. You don't even look at him. You’re satisfied with yourself?! Riddle feels rage bubbling up in his chest, and he almost screams at you right there and then in the hallway. What is wrong with you?!

It doesn’t help matters when Crewel assigns a huge project that's to be completed by two people, and places you and Riddle together. He’s so hell-bent on avoiding you the entire time, even when your face grows annoyed at his inability to cooperate.

“This project is a long one, you know.” you tell him one day, staring daggers into the side of his skull, “It takes six months to complete. If you want to get a good grade you’ve got to lay down your pride and talk to me. I’m not put up with this for half a year.”

Riddle hates that you’re right. He hates it so much because he’s always supposed to be the sensible one. He’s studied the rules over and over and yet you stump him. You make him wrong.

Is he wrong to resent you for that? Is it wrong to want to destroy your pride? Is it wrong to hate that you seemingly get everything you’ve ever wanted so easily while he’s worked hard for it?

Is it wrong that he wants to cooperate so hard and so efficiently with you that you take back everything you said to him?

Azul wants to get you in his debt so BADLY. He isn’t at the very top of his class, no. That title belongs to Riddle, who has refused his offers for a contract time and time again. Maybe there’s something you want, though.

He will find it. He will examine you every day and pick apart every insecurity and moment of sadness. That smart little brain of yours may be good for tests, but when it comes to manipulation, you have nothing on Azul.

It’s a small comfort if nothing else. You may have the entire school wrapped around your finger and the Leech twins might be fascinated with you, but that doesn’t matter.

Well, it doesn’t matter until you show up at the Lounge of your own volition. Azul is shocked when he hears the twins call your name, and you enter his VIP Room looking far too calm.

Floyd almost hacks up a laugh from laughing too hard when you ask for tutoring. Azul is baffled as Jade snickers, wondering why the person who outscores Azul continuously would ask him for tutoring.

But this is his chance. And so he writes up a contract, asking for something vague because he doesn’t know what he’ll need from you yet but he’s certain you’ll come in handy in the future and suddenly—

You wrinkle your nose and hand the contract back to him, pointing at one of the conditions. “I don’t like that one. Change it.” you say, and Floyd starts cackling again because no one has ever read them that closely.

It’s a condition that states you will come to the Lounge whenever Azul summons you. It’s vague enough that the signer may not realize he truly means whenever, but outlined enough to make them assume that it only applies to the time frame in which the main part of the contract is in effect.

It’s sneaky, and you caught it. Azul’s eyebrow twitches as he stares at you, forcing a smile on his features. Why, of course he can change that for you! What would you like it to say instead? You should know that he’s on home turf right now, and he never loses in the comfort of his VIP Room.

Riddle had invited you to have a study meeting at the school library. It was no big deal. Just a moment for you to spend together and study at the same time. People say dating can get in the way of studies but Riddle wasn't the type of boyfriend who would let that happen. It was nothing more and nothing less than to unite something useful with the pleasant;

Although reading about the history of teas during the reign of the Queen of Hearts was neither of them, or helpful nor enjoyable. Because you two were from different grades, the content Riddle read was different from yours and although he insisted on helping you if you had any questions, you didn't want to bother him with something as banal as that;

A long time later, Riddle was already moving on to the next chapter of arithmetic when he felt a weight on his right shoulder. As he turned around, Riddle could only see your head tilted at him, your eyes closed and your concentration completely lost. You were asleep! When he was going to say something, you moved a little more, settling on his shoulder;

That was a good card for you to play but Riddle was still determined to wake you up so you could pay more attention to your studies. He nudged you lightly, calling your name and for a brief moment, you awoke again. You swore that you wouldn’t sleep again and that at least the next lines were about a Knave that tried to poison the Queen — which made Riddle twist his nose a little;

Well, obviously the Knave of Hearts failed at his mission because five minutes later you got back again onto Riddle's comfortable shoulder. You have to wonder how such a thin, lean shoulder could have handled your head satisfactorily, but you managed to get a perfect position. So much so that you barely moved from there;

Riddle had to take a deep breath before he looked at you again. While sleeping, you had this cute little pout that he took a long time to deviate from. The icing on the cake was that you pulled his right arm like a second pillow, squeezing it tight enough to have it at your pleasure and as much as the already small distance between the two chairs allowed;

The two of you were in a more distant and private area of the library, where the huge bookshelves blocked you from other people’s view. But at a certain point, Trey showed up over there to communicate something to Riddle and ended up finding you and the dorm leader in that position. Riddle had been content to continue reading a book but his friend’s arrival scared him;

“One word and it will be off with your head...!,” Riddle whispered loudly, his face colored by a vibrant red. “It better be important like Ace blowing up the dorm or Deuce getting lost in the maze again...!” Trey was silent for a moment, trying to hold back his laughter and undecided if he should say something or not;

At almost the same moment, you yawned as you stretched out and held Riddle's entire body to be your dear pillow. He couldn't say anything because the top of your head was too close to his mouth. The best Riddle could do was to adjust you back to your old position on his shoulder, although trying to undo your arm around him was in vain;

“You know, I think we can hold Cater doing a flash-mob of himself for another hour. See you later, Riddle,” Trey pulled his glasses back and waved goodbye to his friend, disappearing back among the bookshelves. Riddle sighed. To choose the safety of Heartslabyul or continue your afternoon nap? Unfortunately or not, he had enough heart to not wake you up;

Eventually you woke up, of course. But Riddle had fallen asleep too, leaning on your head and his book open on the table. You got away from him very carefully for a minute, left a highlighter on the page and gently woke him up. Riddle opened his gray eyes, his black eyelashes with slight red reflections blinking softly. A wonderful sight, for sure.

It was another ordinary afternoon in Savanaclaw. The sun was shining brightly and Leona was sitting next to you on the balcony of his room, enjoying the view. Although you were at a high point overlooking a landscape of big dusty rocks, further on the horizon there was a river curving in the Savannah and some humble small vegetation;

You had tried calling Leona to play chess but he was a little more sleepy and lazy than usual. And was winning all times even like that — the audacity! Eventually, you put the board and pieces aside and you two turned to admire the simple, natural wonders of the dorm;

Leona had fallen asleep in no time, not that you were too surprised about it. In fact, Leona had earlier brought a large cushion from his room — large and soft, made of the most expensive fabric you could imagine — and was probably planning to sleep there the entire time. You sighed but smiled at the same time, sharing the pillow with him;

What you didn't expect was to end up taking a nap too and using Leona’s shoulder as your support. He woke up for a brief minute only to find out what that strange weight next to him was, confirming it was you. Leona has never seen you so relaxed before, vulnerable and comfortable. Being at the mercy of a carnivore like him;

Leona laid your head better on his shoulder so that you could stay in a position that wouldn't give you a tremendous sprain afterwards. Trust him, he has mastered the art of sleeping in the strangest ways and in the most unusual places;

But to Leona’s surprise, you suddenly wrapped your arms around his torso and squeezed him as if nothing in the world was going to get you out of there. Leaning on his shoulder, you had the serenity of a little lion using the support of a rock to be worshiped by the kingdom without actually realizing it. Leona had to fight a smile that escaped the corner of his lips;

You're really more than a mere herbivore, huh? While Leona was thinking about it, he heard the sound of his bedroom door opening and he recognized Ruggie approaching the balcony. Through the half-open door, Leona could hear the other students in the dorm arguing about something in the hallway;

“Whatever these animals are doing, it's not my problem, Ruggie,” Leona replied before the hyena boy could tell what was going on. He said this without having to raise his voice or get out of position, keeping you quiet and safe around him. If there was one thing Leona hated, it was when people tried to disrupt his nap for silly reasons — and knowing his pack, they sure were idiots;

Ruggie just leaned against the balcony column where the two of you were leaning and took a look at the scene. He knew that intruding on your date would come at a high cost but it was either that or just letting the guys kill each other to see who would clean up the dorm’s magift court. But it turned out his leader was dealing with a much bigger issue;

“Alright, alright. But Leona... look at that wandering hand there, huh,” Ruggie couldn't hold back a low laugh and it got worse when Leona growled at him. The noise of Ruggie's laughter, growling, and someone running out of the room eventually woke you up and you stretched out your arms like cats do. Maybe Leona passed this habit on to you unintentionally;

But Leona led you back to a new nap, where you could relax again just the two of you. You could perfectly feel Leona’s breath rising and falling, like a natural and soft orchestra. He stroked your head, giving you a sense of security that you appreciated. Leona rested his chin on the top of your head and smiled. That’s the good life.

Every time Azul invited you to study in Octavinelle’s lounge room, you felt even more the feeling that you were in the middle of the ocean. Everything was so serene, the fishes moved quietly inside the aquariums and the students were reasonably quiet, even with the common noise of books being opened and notes being written;

Azul had chosen for you a more private area, where you could study without anyone bothering you. And it stood next to an aquarium with the fish type you liked to look at the most. The environment was so calm and relaxing that you were fighting sleep, almost like a brave prince saving your own life from a giant sea monster;

As if it couldn't get any worse, Azul was explaining the subject to you. His voice was like the waves of the sea on a beach in the early morning, softly as the singing of a mermaid. If you didn't know about Azul’s commitment to his studies, you'd think he was making you drowsy on purpose. No one had the right to have a naturally melodious voice! — and, good Triton, he had;

Before Azul could realize it in time, you fell asleep on his shoulder and interrupted him reading about the maritime discovery of the true functions of a pipe. That scared Azul for a solid minute. Even though you were in a relationship, he sometimes forgot that things like that could happen;

Not knowing what to do, Azul watched you snuggle better on his shoulder, your newest soft and fragrant pillow. He wondered if the cologne he was using wouldn't bother you sooner or later, yet you drew closer to him than ever — as if to contradict him. Azul closed his history book, lost to say the least;

Azul adjusted his glasses to make sure no one was paying attention to you. The Mostro Lounge’s opening hours were over and Octavinelle’s students were behaved enough that no one would go after him because of any trouble. But to distract himself from the feeling of you being so comfortable and relaxed around him, Azul kept thinking about all the possibilities that would come from this scenario;

Every once in a while, he would make the mistake of looking back at you and staring at your half-open mouth. Azul closed it as gently as he could, but he felt guilty for never stopping watching you. Azul had already read several mermaid tales as a child about how one kiss of true love could solve everything. He wishes he could kiss you to make you focus on your studies again!;

Azul was so distracted that he didn't notice when Jade stood in front of him, with some papers in his arms and silently observing the situation. Eventually he looked away from you and found the vice. “J-jade...!,” Azul exclaimed in the lowest, most restrained manner he could muster. “What is it? You don't see I'm busy...?!”;

Jade smiled, almost saying without words that, yes, he knew. And how busy. But those papers were the receipts for the month’s Lounge and dorm expenses, which Azul always requested to do the accountability. He left the papers on the table and had the audacity to stack the books you were reading in front of a very embarrassed Azul;

“I don't think you'll need them anymore at the moment,” Jade said, closing his eyes and waving a farewell to the leader. Azul cursed him quietly with all the curses and threats that a good Ashengrotto knew. He couldn’t tolerate such insubordination;

A little more used to the situation and getting tired, Azul ended up leaning against you too and fell asleep next to you. In the brief moment you woke up and realized that Azul was holding your hand, you took off his glasses and carefully left them on the table. All this without waking him up. You didn't know that Azul could have such a heavy sleep — and that he smiles while doing so.

When Kalim invited you to Scarabia that afternoon, you couldn't deny it. It was a heated day and as much as the dorm’s Sun shone as bright as gold being forged, the two of you were sitting near the fountain in the center of that huge and sumptuous palace. You could hear the noise of water falling incessantly, forming small drops on the edges of the fountain;

Kalim was cheerful as always, his mood was steady whether it was raining or sunny. It was one of the things you liked about him. Kalim seemed an inexhaustible source of energy, cheering you up at all times in the small and big things. He was telling you various stories about his younger siblings and his own childhood memories;

The mood was so pleasant, the fountain tumbling to a serene beat and the ornaments on Kalim's outfit tinkling to a soft, fun background music that you couldn't help but yawn. First you came closer to Kalim, without interrupting his words, and then you felt as if you were melting;

Kalim only saw your eyes close, your lashes lowered like a peacock’s tail. You leaned on his shoulder and got lost in a desert of dreams. Kalim got closer to the edge of the fountain and watched you sleep, a smile growing on his face. When he met you earlier, you looked tired and he wanted to cheer you up a little;

But if you wanted to enjoy that free time by napping, Kalim saw no problem with that. After all, a nap is fun too! Kalim wished he could have laughed more but the slight movement of his shoulders seemed to bother you and he went back on being quiet. As complicated as it was, he did his best not to interrupt your sleep;

To pass the time, Kalim sang you a famous lullaby from the Land of Hot Sands. It was a beautiful and soft melody, words that you might not understand very well but full of meaning. In this came some birds who wanted to take advantage of the water of the fountain to bathe and accompany their friend’s song;

All this unusual peace in the dorm was the reason that Jamil approached the fountain after a few hours. To his relief, Kalim was safe and quiet, nuzzling you on his shoulder while a dove also rested on his dorm bandana. Jamil was speechless;

“Jamil!! O-h... Ja… Jamil...!,” Kalim exclaimed but then tried to speak softly. “Shhh! We can't make noises now…!” Jamil saw more birds gather near the boy to rest and felt that he was not paid and accommodated enough to put up with such visions on a simple Tuesday afternoon. At least, you two weren’t causing any trouble;

Kalim didn't expect to meet Jamil at that moment, but it reminded him of all the times the vice had to take care of him when he fell asleep unintentionally. It was a very difficult task and one that really required care! But he was happy that he was handling the situation well, in the careful and effective way that he knew Jamil did;

“Make yourself comfortable then, Kalim. I'll leave some hot tea ready just in case you two want it later,” Jamil had already turned to leave the courtyard but he still heard Kalim whisper-loudly that if possible he wanted some crackers to go with it — Jamil sighed, as usual;

A few minutes later you stirred on awakening and this sudden movement startled the little birds near you. Kalim waved to them all and asked if you were feeling better. You stretched out, still a little drowsy, but feeling sore from sleeping sitting on the floor for so much time. In this, Kalim had an idea: you would have some tea with crackers and you could nap together again, only in the room with all those pillows and tapestries!

In other times, it would be impossible for you to enter Idia’s room. If Ignihyde was the underworld where he reigned, his room was like his own temple. Only Ortho could get in there — and now, so could you. As you got closer and started dating, Idia was becoming more inclined to spend time with someone else and share more about his hobbies;

Even if you aren’t very good with games, Idia always seemed to have something up his sleeve to show you. Whatever you wanted, in the theme of your choice, it didn’t matter. He could do it. The same thing went for manga, anime, movies — Idia would go digital distances to make your time alongside him worth. Even though you assured him many times that his company alone was good enough;

That night, you ended up meeting after dinner to spend time together in Idia’s room, as usually happened on your dates. Idia was particularly anxious because he found a manga with a very interesting story and it was just the kind of story he knew you liked too;

Idia made that discovery for a while but he had so caught up with the story and was eagerly awaiting the release of the new chapters. In the meantime, he tried to explain the plot in general, the characters he liked, the characters he hated and his favorite chapters — all without spoiling anything beyond necessary;

You were side by side in bed and it was one of the few occasions when you could hear Idia’s voice so lively and louder than usual, without losing the relaxing tone his voice had. It was getting a little late but you didn't want to interrupt Idia and end the night there. You were focused on Idia but your mind turned into Charon and led you to another direction in the river: slumber;

Idia stopped talking when he felt you leaning on his shoulder, sleeping peacefully — just like those scenes in shoujo manga! His heart stopped, came back again, took a break and continued. Idia panicked but when he moved to try to get away from you, you followed him and on top of that, snuggled even more into him. Counterattack!;

Quiet, lost and confused — and restricted — Idia wondered what had put you to sleep after all. Was it him? Listening to him talk for hours about manga was too boring? He went on a tangent of worried and anxious thoughts until the digital clock beeped eleven o’clock in the evening. This woke up Idia a bit and made him wonder if maybe there was an option that you had fallen asleep because it was too late;

Eleven O'clock was still peak time for Idia so he sometimes forgot that “normal people” didn't spend more than that. Well, to complete the shoujo cliché bingo, Ortho walked into the room and witnessed you two in this unusual position. Idia stared into his little brother’s eyes with intensity. “P-p-please, Ortho... help me!,” he asked softly, the ends of his fiery hair turning hot pink;

Ortho held his chin, taking a closer look at you hugging Idia’s figure. Your heartbeat was normal — compared to his brother’s chariot racing heart — and your serotonin levels seemed good. You were having a good dream and even though his technology couldn't prove it, Ortho hoped it was dreams with Idia;

“Sorry to bother you, Nii-san. I’ll get my charger and leave you two alone,” Ortho said at a low volume that wouldn't make you wake up. Idia trembled and stuttered meaningless words to his brother, feeling somehow betrayed. Ortho closed the door and Idia felt that now he was lost. He wasn’t at all prepared for this rapprochement between you, not even in the craziest scenarios that he sometimes imagined;

Swallowing hard and looking at you carefully again, Idia noticed how soundly you were sleeping. He's never seen you like this. It was unexpected, even a little weird, but he couldn't take his eyes off you. Idia dared to lean against you a little more and feel your warmth, a once in a lifetime opportunity. Maybe it was a good thing you were asleep. Idia didn't want you to see how much he was smiling like a fool — that was what people called the “protagonist moment”, right?

It was a magnificent night full of stars. Malleus had shown up for another late-night visit to his favorite ramshackled dorm, graced all the more by the fact that the human he loved so much had called him to see the sky on that humble roof. Grim didn't want to go with you because stargazing seemed pretty boring and Ace always told him to stop playing your “personal third wheel” — whatever that means;

You were side by side on the roof. As Malleus was an expert in astronomy, he pointed out the stars and said their names as if they were old friends. You had no doubt that this was a sad truth given his restricted life in his castle. Malleus knew the name of each star in the constellations, some quite different figures from what was in your world;

You even briefly explained the concept of zodiac signs to Malleus and he was as confused as he was fascinated by the way humans tried to use the stars for fortune telling. He had heard of one using the constellations to guide themselves along the way but not much about predicting someone’s day;

You two continued to talk for a while, sharing these different experiences as you felt the coolness of the serene summer. It was Malleus who was telling you a story about stars from his homeland when you started to feel a little somnolent. You didn't know what time it was and the whole environment around you was too relaxing;

Malleus’s voice was soft and affectionate, enchanting as a sleeping spell. He could be talking about the most absurd thing and you would listen as if it were a bedtime story. You started by resting your head on Malleus’ shoulder and in what you told yourself would be resting your eyes for one minute to enjoy his voice, you ended up actually falling asleep;

Malleus realized this when he asked you something and you answered nothing. He stared at your sleepy figure, surprised for a moment but then giving a small smile. So you were playing Silver on him, weren’t you? — Malleus hoped this was the proper way to say the “human younglings expression”. He held your hand and continued to wander in a monologue about the stars;

Lilia showed up there unexpectedly because he was looking for Silver who hadn't returned to the dorm yet, probably from falling asleep somewhere. But he came across this scene and when he noticed that you were sleeping, he decided to approach to try to at least tease Malleus for a brief moment;

“Child of Man eventually fell asleep. It must be so hard to live with a need for rest and succumb so easily to the dream world,” Malleus commented, looking gently at you. “But it feels so peaceful at the same time.” Lilia held back his laughter as he saw the way Malleus smiled;

It wasn't as if the fairies didn't know what sleep was, but staying awake for quite some time wasn't difficult or problematic. Malleus usually spent hours wandering through the night before actually sleeping. When he was younger, he joked about keeping the Moon company and telling the grandiose, lonely satellite how his day went;

“Don't forget to put your sleeping beauty to sleep in bed afterwards. Enjoy the night, my little bats,” Lilia said goodbye, going after his own sleeping beauty son. Malleus waved back at him and as he turned around, he took you in his arms gently. You hardly even felt yourself being lifted from your position to a different environment;

When you opened your eyes, Malleus had kissed you goodnight. Before he went, you pulled his sleeve lightly and in a low mutter asked him to stay. It was such a simple and lovely gesture that Malleus couldn't deny your request. He arranged a piece of the bed to lie on and you leaned on his shoulder again, falling back to sleep with the help of a sweet little lullaby that Malleus made especially for you.

I have a wholesome question please? How would the male yandere twst boys react if female darling is a kitchen witch (a witch that focuses on food magic) who LOVES to bake for her suitor! How would he react? Who would be so smug? Who’s heart would melt from love?

Wholesome and yandere are not two words I would put on the same sentence, but I am weak for witches with cooking baking motifs so I'm writing this one.

Ruggie would adore them, you can't tell me that the way to Ruggie's heart, isn't his stomach. Food is so comforting for him, it's warm, and fulfilling, and his darling makes it with so much care... He completely melts. The only downside would be that anything he eats now outside of Ramschakle won't taste as good as it did before.

Azul would be selfish with his darling's gift. He always takes care of his figure, so he can't indulge much in baked goods, and that makes him a little bitter. I imagine he tries to convince his darling to not bake for others, or try to take their cooking away from others.

Trey would be very proud of his darling's talent. He can't wait to take them home and show them off to his parents and siblings, maybe Trey can start slowly slipping the idea of a future together in his darling's head.

Cater thinks the taste is good, but the presentation is the best. He is smug about having such cute and exclusive pastries that only he can post online. He gets very jealous whenever he sees his darling sharing their talent with someone else.

Malleus will get soft with every gift his darling makes for him, but the image of his darling baking is very homely, he can't help it when his mind starts to wonder. Even if cake isn't his favorite food, he really appreciates it and will get happy once his darling starts learning all of his likes and dislikes.

Floyd wants to get creative and test what his darling can do, and what both of them can create together. Sometimes the kitchen becomes a mess, and sometimes both have such synchrony that everything seems to fall into its place. However, Floyd on occassions brings some meat of dubious origins...

Sorry, this one is an idea with my mc Judas. I think he would be very curious about his darling's magic and starts taking notes while cooking together, it's also a good excuse to get some alone time with them. He also misses greatly his home since he came to nrc, so maybe he will ask his darling to help him recreate a flavor he can't reproduce with twst's spices.

Tbh I can see him working with Trey and Chenya all to get your love like they all can have a role where Chenya is like the scarast Mitch and he can like stalk you in his invisible form and riddle can make sure your always doing well and IF they hurt you which I don't see it happen but it could riddle would gladly heal you up and Trey could bake for you and protect you.

Ace & Deuce:

Okay so I think this would work as like they both try and like lock you somewhere where only they could find you though that's what most would probably do but whatever and like I don't see much here sorry-

These are my personal head canons on if they would lose NNN or pull through.

Riddle

Ok so this man would win because I'm pretty sure he doesn't know what it is. The man was sheltered his whole life, and even if he did know what it was I doubt he would lose.

Trey

I feel like if you provoke him enough he would fold but otherwise he would get through it no problem. If he sees your skirt is just a bit too short showing off your panties then he might but what really sells it is when your being domestic and teasing.

Cater

I think he would lose only because this man is on magicam 24/7 he's bound to have seen some kind of scandalous pics. All you have to do is just find one of those photos and do the same and he folds like a lawn chair.

Ace

Yes he lost. It's not his fault that you wanted to try on his dorm uniform and it just so happened to hug all the right curves. He couldn't help wanting to see you covered in his cum <3.

Deuce

So we all know from the first chapter that he's kind slow and naive but I feel like he would win because he would think of it as just another obstacle to being a great mage.

Leona

Yeah he failed. I whole heartedly believe that if you where in a relationship with this man that if he wanted you he wouldn't care about location or time. He definitely forgot about the challenge and just fucked you without a care.

He passed but barely. He purposely kept himself busy as to not lose but towards the end he was running out of excuses and almost folded.

He surprisingly lost, however it wasn't his fault that when you where cleaning around his room you got stuck. The poor boy happened to see and couldn't hold it in any longer.

Yeah he lost not because he's horny no he lost because this is most likely his first relationship and when you brought up the challenge he'd go red. He couldn't stop thinking about you after and just gave up on the challenge.

Jade

He won. There is no real reason to why he won he simply just avoided your advances when you tried to provoke him. However trust and believe that once that clock strikes 12 he's getting back at you.

Flyod

Theres no telling with this man his mood changes so much he could go either way. However if you tease his enough and then leave him like that he'll be folding quick.

Kalim

He won, he won because any time you tried tarsing him he wouldn't understand what you where talking about. Went the whole month without a clue and only realized what was happening afterwards.

Jamil

He lost, he lost because this man is worked to death 24/7 and he just needed a way to relieve his pent up stress. It's not his fault you just so happened to stop by when it was bad.

Vil

He actually lost. When you told him about the challenge he thought it was stupid but then decided to give it a try. What he did not expect was for his partner to be wearing black lace lingerie after a stressful photoshoot.

Rook

Yeah no he lost too. He just couldn't help that your so beautiful and stunning, when you told him of the challenge he thought it would be fun. However he sis not think you would.go out of your way to purposely make it difficult for him.

Epel

He won there wasn't really a whole lot with this one he simply told you he was too busy. He actually was busy studying for his exams and didn't realize what you where trying to do at first.

Idia

This man lost hard. He really thought he could last the whole month, he only lasted a week. He knew of the challenge already and figured he would try but when he walked in on you cosplaying as his favorite video game character he folded.

Malleus

He easily won because he's never around half the time so this was a walk in the park for him.

Lilia

He also won but he's actually around more so it was a little harder for him. He's an older man so he has some experience with these kinds.of things and wasn't easily tempted.

Silver

He won because half the time he was asleep and didn't know what was going on or what you where doing.

Sebek

He won because he dosen't talk anything other than malleus 24/7 so this was easy for him. At one point you said "why dont you just hit that bussy is your such a simp". He didn't understand what you ment and lilia couldn't stop laughing.

Riddle Rosehearts - Gift-Giving & Quality Time

✦ As the dorm leader of Heartslabyul, Riddle is busy with both his roommates and his own studies meaning that he won’t have a lot of alone time with you. Regardless, he will always make sure to give you little gifts throughout the day. They are mostly delivered by Riddle himself, but sometimes Ace or Deuce would pass you a rose with a note attached in their dorm leader’s handwriting.

✦ When you two do manage to spend time together, he’s giving you some of the strawberry tarts that Trey made. He would also help you with any classes you’re having trouble with and usually, there’s some type of treat at the end to motivate you to get through it.

✦ There are also a lot of invitations to tea parties and unbirthday parties for you and you always have a seat next to Riddle, chatting with him about whatever pops up in your mind, happy that you could spend this time with him.

✦ “Ah, I finally found you. We’re having another unbirthday party this weekend, so please come. I’ve made sure that Trey has prepared your favorites.”

Leona Kingscholar - Quality Time & Physical Touch

✦ As a lion beastman, he mostly likes to spend time with you cuddling. Sometimes nuzzling into you or even just keeping an arm around you at all times. There are a lot of sleepy cuddles involved with him either sleeping on your chest or the other way around. He doesn’t really care as long as he has you in his arms. You end up skipping some classes with him because he doesn’t want to give up his pillow yet.

✦ On the rare occasion, he isn’t sleeping the day away, Leona would just give you head pats as he passes by. It’s very random so sometimes during lunch, you could be eating, and then suddenly, you feel a soft pat on your head. Your idiot trio has gotten very used to it but still finds it weird to see Leona show you some semblance of affection.

✦ However, an arm around your shoulders or waist and maybe the occasional kiss on his cheek, is how far he’s willing to go with PDA. He still has a reputation to uphold as the strongest in Savanaclaw and he doesn’t want to be seen as a softy. In private, smother him all you want as long as it doesn’t bother his nap time.

✦ “Gimme five more minutes, then I’ll get up.”

Azul Ashengrotto - Gift-Giving & Quality Time

✦ Another busy dorm leader who’s juggling his dorm leader duties and his studies but on top of that, he has his contracts and Mostro Lounge to manage. Whenever things get too busy, he calls you into his office just to have you there and even makes some room on his desk for you to do your schoolwork while he does his own thing. Either that, or he’ll call you to his dorm or ask if he can come over just so he could recharge his daily need for your affection.

✦ If you have a bad day, he would ask if he could come over and distract you from your problems for a bit before talking about them. He tries his best to understand what you're talking about and offers a lot of hugs and sometimes food from the Lounge he cooked to brighten your day. Basically, he’ll make time for you and attempt to cheer you up with cuddles and food because that was how his mother cheered him up as a young boy.

✦ Whenever he’s away from you to restock supplies or to go to a meeting, he always gets something from the shops that he thinks that you would like. Some places probably have those collectible coins so he would purchase some for you and him and now you have a coin collection similar to his. One time, when he went back to the Coral Sea for a bit, he came back with a nautilus shell necklace that his mother gifted to him saying to give it to a special someone. That special someone was obviously you so when he got back from his trip, the first thing that he did was give you said necklace.

✦ “My mother told me to give this to someone very special to me and I believe she meant for me to give this to you.”

Kalim Al-Asim - Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, & Gift-Giving

✦ Kalim wears his heart on his sleeve so, from the moment you’re dating, he is singing praises about you in every way possible. Out of all of the dorm leaders, I believe that he is the one that is most comfortable with PDA. He would shower you with kisses and hugs whenever he spots you in the halls and gives Jamil a heart attack whenever he suddenly runs away like that. But if you ask him to tone it down, he will but just a little bit.

✦ Along with the constant bombardment of affection you get from him, Kalim would also shower you with gifts as much as possible. It ranges from tiny trinkets to the most expensive jewelry that you have ever seen and you might need to rent out a storage unit to fit all of the stuff he gets you.

✦ He just wants you to know that he loves you very much and is very grateful that you allowed him to be your lover. He was likely showered with this type of affection as a kid too, so it wouldn’t be surprising that it translated to his relationships that it was this way to show love to somebody.

✦ “Found you! I was looking for you everywhere to give you this bracelet. Would you like me to help you put it on?”

Vil Schoenheit - Quality Time, Acts of Service, & Physical Touch

✦ Another busy dorm leader who’s working on top of being a good student and a mentor to someone else. He has a decent amount of modeling gigs throughout the year and while he mostly took a break from acting, there are some small roles that he does take. Sometimes, he would end up taking you or checking up on you every hour or so to check if you were okay. Whenever you’re having a bad day, he would stay in with you to help cheer you up, and yes, he would help you with your skin-care routine and other self-care necessities.

✦ As cold as Vil seems, he is actually a very affectionate or caring person from what I have seen so far. I won’t get into it too much because it relates to the latest chapter but he does give Epel, Rook, and Yuu kisses and hugs for helping him out when he was “speaking as Vil.” So I suspect that Vil wouldn’t mind it if his lover showered him with affection or the other way around. Maybe in public, he would be more lowkey about it with an arm around your waist or a quick peck on the cheek, but in private, I don’t think he would mind it all that much.

✦ Overall, Vil does shower you with affection in his own ways despite his busy schedule. He makes time for you as much as his schedule would allow and do little things for you when you’re together, and I fully believe that he is physically affectionate as long as it’s kept to a minimum in public, but in private, it’s the opposite.

✦ “I know I’m not around much, darling, but please take care of yourself a little more. I get worried too, you know.”

Idia Shroud - Quality Time

✦ This man is a shut-in so when he allows you into his little bubble, it’s a big deal to him. Regarding his past, he was mostly either by himself or with Ortho. He’s still iffy with physical affection, isn’t good with words, does not go out enough to get you some things, and while he would try to do his best to do things for you, his anxiety gets the better of him.

✦ Quality Time where he is able to spend time with you alone in his room is the best way for him to show his affection towards you. There are a lot of anime and gaming marathons where both of you would just hangout until the early hours before inevitably falling asleep and starting the cycle again a few hours later. Sometimes, he would come over but it was mostly for anime marathons and eventually does start coming over more just to spend time with you.

✦ Over time, Idia will get used to physical affection but in small amounts like pinky holding and stuff like that. Eventually he’d want you to sit in his lap while playing games or vice-versa and if you manage to crash while he’s gaming, he would try to keep quiet for the next few hours to avoid waking you up. A lot of impromptu sleepovers happen this way but neither of you are complaining.

✦ “Do you mind coming over today? A new multiplayer game just dropped and I need my player two to play with me.”

Malles Draconia - Gift-Giving & Quality Time

✦ It doesn’t matter if you’re a faery like him or a mortal, he is giving you gifts. A lot of them too. Another one who buys you things from small trinkets to the most expensive jewels you have ever seen in your life. It could be matching t-shirts that he found amusing or the rarest jewel in his possession, nothing is out of bounds to give to you. You might want to ask him to slow down with the gifts because, in the beginning, he’ll try to make it obvious that he is courting you and he was taught that gifts were the best way to show your intentions.

✦ Now as fae or mortal, he would spend quality time with you. However, things hit a little bit harder if you are a mortal. Malleus is all too aware of the limited time he would have with you and would either find a way to extend your life as much as possible or cherish the time he has now. This includes going on late-night walks to look at the gargoyles around campus or running away from some of his retainers to be alone. It’s a very chaotic scene that you sometimes have gotten in trouble for by patrolling staff but when you don’t have to do that, then it’s actually a very relaxing night.

✦ When Malleus falls, I believe that he’s one of those people that falls hard and would do anything in his power to make you happy. He finally has someone who isn’t afraid of him and is willing to hang out with him because they want to, not because they are obligated to—though it’s obvious that the rest of Diasomnia doesn’t mind hanging out with him regardless of his status. He would give you a lot of expensive and shiny things to show his love for you and would spend time getting to know you just because he just wants to.

✦ “I sense that Sebek is in the distance watching us. Hold on to my arm, dear. I’ll make sure we won’t get caught.”

Basically: would they watch ghost hunting shows with you?

Ever since I watched my first episode of ghost adventures, I've been an avid fan. I know it's not real but I just have so much fun turning out the lights and watching these ghost hunters roam around and "talk to ghosts." I have such a fun time!!!

Also I know ghosts exist in twst but when they say "it's not real" think of it as them saying that the shows aren't actually talking to ghosts/that's not how ghosts act/etc. Ghosts just being your friends kind of throws off the vibe of ghost shows but i'm just trying to have fun ok

He's got a lot of work to do, and when he has the chance to relax he doesn't want to waste it on something so obviously fabricated. He'll join you occasionally, but don't expect ghost show nights to be a regular occurrence with him.

When he does join you, he'll do his best not to scoff at the "evidence" the ghost hunters collect. He'll be interested enough in the beginning parts where they explain the history of the location, but the actual ghost hunting part has him rolling his eyes. When it's time to turn out the lights and go to bed, though, don't mention how he keeps looking over his shoulder and sticking close to you. It's just your imagination!

(And especially don't mention how Ramshackle has actual ghosts that are as nice as can be - he's had enough of your ghost nonsense for one night!)

He doesn't strike me as the type to be too interested? If you're watching it live, he'll offer to clean up after dinner while you tune in to your favorite show (as the chores are split up pretty evenly anyway.) He'll keep an ear open if he's close to the TV, but he isn't too particularly invested.

If you don't need to have the lights off, he'll do something else in the room while you watch, quietly spending time with you without actually watching. However, if the lights are off, he'll walk behind you silently and blow in your ear or down your neck just to make you shout.

If you insist, he will watch the show without complaint - just know he's intending to hold this little service over your head the next time he needs a favor (or maybe just some affection).

If it's super popular and trending right now, he's all in of course! He'd love to have an excuse to sit with you while he live-posts about the newest episode! Even if it's not popular, he'll watch it if you ask! (And maybe he can get it trending…..two birds one stone, eh?)

He actually likes ghost shows! At least, sometimes he does. He'll be just as invested as you are during the episodes that have tons of "evidence," but he might get a little bored and start fiddling on his phone (or messing with you) during the slower episodes. Cater doesn't believe in anything they're showing, but he doesn't mind a few spooks (or attempts at one).

Probably wants to do a parody version to post online. Come on!!! Ramshackle is a perfect creepy backdrop for a fake ghost show and he's already thought up fake names for everything!

Literally raises an eyebrow at you and asks "You know those shows aren't real, right?" As if you don't know! And if you didn't, way to ruin your fun!

He's the type to act like he's too good for ghost shows, as if he's graduated from cheap thrills and fun. Still, he's surprisingly easy to convince, even if he pouts the whole way through. Maybe you have to buy him a certain pastry, make super buttery popcorn, or help him with his homework first. Either way, he's not too difficult to get to cuddle up and sit for an hour to watch a bunch of ghost hunters run around looking for nothing.

He's definitely going to comment every now and then about how dumb some of the moments are, laughing at the fear on-screen, and he's certainly not above scaring you afterwards. He might even get the real ghosts in on it. If you pout, he'll just ask "What? I thought you knew it wasn't real, what's there to be scared of?"

(He won't mind if you need someone to play hero, of course!)

Part 2 of raising an eyebrow and asking, "You know those shows aren't real, right?" He actually tries to be a little nicer about it though.

Deuce is more reluctant but requires less bribes to join you, and though he gets nervous, he lets you lean on him the whole time! He's quiet the whole time too, just hanging out and cuddling while you enjoy your show…

…until you look up at him and realize he's as pale as the "ghosts" you're supposedly watching. Even if he doesn't believe in the "evidence" itself, Deuce easily falls prey to the spooky atmosphere the shows create. The green night-vision, the spooky muffled audio, the ambient music….he's clutching onto your hand by the end of the night, too terrified to leave.

Leona immediately accepts your invitation to "watch your favorite ghost hunting show with you," but just know that he heard it as an invitation to "cling to you and sleep for 45 minutes to an hour while you are sitting absolutely still and watching your show."

Honestly though it doesn't even matter, because if he was awake to be an active participant he'd be a bit of an ass about it. He'd tease you for being such a naïve little herbivore, make fun of the ghost hunter's reactions, bite playfully at you every now and again just to feel alive…

If he can't sleep or he IS awake by choice, he'll just lie sleepily on your lap or shoulder and watch with bleary eyes. You aren't sure if he's actually watching or just zoning out but it's a nice quiet moment and he thinks you're warm <3

He will lazily swipe his tail across the back of your neck or something to scare you though. Once that gets old he'll think of something else - stealthily appearing behind you, quietly leaving doors open, little things that will drive you crazy. Oh, you're scared? Ohhhh nooooo, guess you gotta stay the night now :/

He's a pretty active guy, you know? He's always bustling to and fro and this is how you wanna spend your time with him?

Ruggie is no stranger to ghost stories and haunted places, but he's also probably been in places that locals called "haunted" but were actually just run down. He's a lot more afraid of the nonchalant systemic terror people are subjected to every day, if you're asking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But he also doesn't mind spending a little time with you watching a show he doesn't particularly care about, especially if he's got enough time to spare. (And if there's snacks!) Talk about a cheap and easy way to keep your s/o happy!

I don't think he'd be particularly interested in anything on the show, but he might like listening to the locals tell their stories. He's probably wondering if he could set up a haunted attraction of his own. How much would the producers pay to be able to film on the campus of NRC?

He'll let you have your fun and only try to pop up and scare you with a "Boo!" once. Or twice. And if he's got enough time to spare afterwards, maybe he'll tell you a few of the stories he was told as a kid.

(Don't mention how fond he looks, though, or he'll refuse to tell you the big reveal!)

Alright I gotta be honest. Would he be into it? No. Would he ever volunteer this, even if he was trying to bribe you to do something? No. BUT…can he resist when you ask him with a cute face and look up at him with the sweetest eyes you can muster? Also no…even if he pretends he's just settling something he owes you for a favor or something.

Jack doesn't watch a lot of TV, and when he does he's definitely not tuning into ghost shows, but if it makes you happy he'll go for it. He'll question why you watch this even when you can talk to real ghosts, but he also knows how to keep his dissent to himself.

After all, an hour next to you isn't too terrible a way to use his time :)

He's honored! That you want to spend time with him! (That you chose him to potentially protect you, should you get scared? Is he up to the task?) Time spent with you in a dark room all cuddled up is a daunting prospect, but also an opportunity he'd be a fool not to take. He accepts before he can even process your request, and makes sure he has the time to see you!

He knows the hijinks on screen aren't real, and you don't seem to be bothered by them - you're laughing at some of them, even - but something about the situation sets Azul on edge. Maybe he’s genuinely afraid of the ghosts, or at least the stories behind them. Maybe he’s trembling under the pressure he bestowed upon himself to be your guardian of the night. Either way, he’s frozen by the end of the show, and when you look up at him and he realizes you shifted to be leaning on his shoulder/chest and now it’s dark and quiet and just the two of you…

Azul is TERRIFIED by the end of the night. But it’s not the ghosts that did it :(

He nods politely. Of course! Anything you’d like to do, he’s happy to indulge at least once. Besides, he’d rather like to see what it is about these shows that you like so much.

Jade is fairly easy to watch shows with. He isn’t disruptive, he sits still, he doesn’t talk much (unless you do, then he’d happily listen to what you have to say), so actually watching the show is a rather uneventful affair.

But then the show is over and Jade is popping up behind you silently, running cold hands over your exposed skin and insisting it wasn’t him, etc…he considers slipping outside and tapping on your windows discreetly to give you a REAL good spook, but stops himself from crossing too many boundaries.

Just be careful. The more you let him get away with without telling him to stop, the more he’ll want to try…

Doesn’t mind unless he knows he hates the show. That solves his problem of wondering what he was doing that night!

He’d probably get bored during the first half where they interview people who work at the location and have “had experiences,” choosing to spend the time talking to you or trying to throw food into each other’s mouths or SOMETHING. If you’re really invested, he’ll try to entertain himself with his phone or something with only minimal complaints. He doesn’t want you to not see your show, especially if it’s only one episode. Shrimpy is such high maintenance…

The second half, with the actual investigation, might be different. If it’s eventful or you’re watching a show with more animated reactions, his attention might be grabbed for a few moments. He likes it better if you’re making fun of the show, watching because you’re a fan but acknowledging how ridiculous it can be. Then he’ll be right with you, making fun of the exaggerated responses and the dumb conclusions they come to trying to make “evidence”.

He likes it even better to mess with you after the show is over. It starts with cheesy attempts, like shouting at you from around the corner. You may jump a few times, but don’t think he’s done once he gets you. He doesn’t have the self-control Jade has - if the show didn’t scare you, Floyd’s upcoming antics definitely will.

Vil: Examines your taste in furniture, how well the color schemes match, and is silently judging you. But is happy nevertheless.

Rook: “I must thank you. I, now, have more details on my favorite prey. Oh dear, did I say that out loud?”

Epel: Excited as this is the first time he has ever been to a friend’s home outside his hometown. Bring a load of apples as a home warming present, courtesy of his grandma.

Kalim: Examines everything you own, might accidentally break a thing or two.

Jamil: “Would you kindly show me around town? I am interested in seeing your world.”

Idia: Looks around uninterested. He prefers to go back to his room and play games.

Ortho: “Thank you for inviting me and my brother to your home.”

Azul: Secretly takes note of what you like, so he can bribe give you gifts as needed.

Jade: Curiously examines details. “I must say it’s fascinating to see how differently land creatures live, even compared to other land creatures.”

Floyd: If he’s in the mood, he will takes your valuables and careless toss them around in the air, just to tease you. If he’s not in the mood, he will plop on the sofa and sulk.

I’ve been thinking about expanding beyond just the Pet AU, so this was a very timely request. 😊 I also adjusted the format a bit to have a small scenario at the end, so it took me longer than normal to write it. I hope you enjoy it.

Courting Behaviors with Ace, Azul, Floyd and Rook

Romance comes differently to everyone. Some find it second nature while others struggle to get their feelings across. How does your sweetheart behave when he has his eye on you?

Ace is like the boy who pulls on a girl’s braids in school. He doesn’t know what to do with his feelings and it shows. He can’t leave you alone, teasing you constantly. You have his full attention, although you might wish you didn’t! Trey and Riddle definitely tell him to knock it off. He stops for a while, but he can’t quit for good. You are just too fun for him to tease.

He will start inviting you to spend all your time with him. It just feels natural to have you around! As much as you used to spend time at Heartslabyul, you are spending even more time there now. Study sessions, hang outs, tea parties; Ace just seems to always have a reason you should stop by. He might even bashfully invite you to come watch his basketball club practice. He is pretty good, you know. Why not come admire him see him play?

Under all that cocky attitude, you’ll find that Ace is oddly dependable. When you really need him, he always seems to come through for you. You’ll never forget the way he cut his winter break short to come to your rescue, even though he ended up begin too late. He also doesn’t make a big deal of small things like splitting his lunch with you when the meager allowance Crowley supplies runs low. He is just a standup guy, but don’t say it too loud; he has a reputation to keep!

On your birthday, you are feeling down. It really hits you at times like this that you can’t spend these days with your family and friends from back home. Ace notices you are feeling blue and arranges a surprise party at Ramshackle. He even sweet-talked Trey into backing some cupcakes for the occasion.

The party is going great. You can almost forget your situation when you are surrounded by your new friends like this. You finish speaking to Deuce when the table of cupcakes catch your eye. Trey has really done a fine job on them; the decorations are simple yet fun. The only thing better than the way Trey’s treats look is how they taste. You smile and go to grab one of the tempting sweets.

While contemplating the difficult decision of strawberry (a Heartslabyul specialty) or chocolate (a tried-and-true classic), a hand comes into your vision handing you a vanilla cupcake with a shiny cherry on top. “I’ve always been fond of cherry myself,” Ace says with a smirk. You give him a small smile; he has been pushing you lately but after today you suppose you can forgive him.

You unwrap the cupcake from its wrapper and lift it to take a bite. Suddenly, Ace grabs your hand and smashes the cupcake into your face. You sputter and squirm out from under his hand, spitting a mouthful of cream and cupcake out. “What the hell Ace! Can’t I even get a break on my Birthday?” you say. “Ah sorry, sorry.” Ace says. “It’s a bit of a habit. Here let me help you clean up.” He takes a finger and wipes some of the cake and cream from your check and licks it from his finger. He gives you his mischievous smirk and says softly, “My favorite flavor.”

Azul is too bashful to confess to you, so he goes with the secret admirer route. It starts small, with little gifts left on your chair or back at Ramshackle. Nothing too fancy but always something you needed, something that is useful to you. Each little package comes with a short note. “Good day prefect. Your pencil is almost down to the nub. I hope you’ll accept this humble offering to replace it.” At first, the notes aren’t even signed. You ask your friends about them, but no one claims to be the source of the helpful gifts. It’s an exciting mystery!

Soon there is an escalation to your secret admirer. Now he leaves full blown letters with the mystery gifts; each letter is signed “your secret admirer.” You feel as though you are really getting to know this mystery person through their writing, only you still don’t know who it could possibly be! For Azul, this is both exciting and extremely frustrating. He enjoys watching you from afar as you discover the little gifts and notes. He watches your face light up as you open each carefully crafted letter and read. The temptation to find out what you think about them is almost unbearable.

Scratch that, it is totally unbearable. He can’t resist trying to find out how you feel about the situation. The next time your “admirer” leaves a gift for you, Azul arranges to be casually walking by. “Why Prefect, what is that you have there?” he asks with a feigned innocence. Ace and Deuce have long since grown tired of hearing you talk about your admirer, so you are eager to tell Azul all about it. From then on, he becomes your confident. Each time you get a new letter from your admirer, you can’t wait to run and tell Azul about it. You both gossip about the gifts and speculate on just who this amazing admirer could be. Azul waits eagerly to hear every drop of praise you lavish unknowingly on his efforts.

This is only going to end if you realize Azul is your admirer and confess to him, which isn’t likely as you are rather oblivious to the situation. Until that time, Azul is just too comfortable having this second-hand romance with the safety of anonymity.

Your admirer has left you another note (how exciting!) inviting you to diner at Mostro Lounge. Is today finally the day you’ll meet your secret admirer? You can’t wait to tell Azul about this new development. It’s been such a breath of fresh air to have Azul to talk to about your mystery. If Ace gives you that look one more time when you bring up the letters, well…you don’t really know what you’d do but there is only so much eye-rolling that can be healthy for a person.

The lunchroom fills as you hurry over to a table occupied by the Octavinelle trio. “Azul, look! He wrote to me again!” An interested smile crosses Azul’s face as he asks you for details. From there, it is the usual song and dance; he asks you what is in the letter, how you feel about it and what you think might happen next. You are more than happy to gush out about it all; the diner plans, your hope and excitement and what you think the night might bring (a confession!?). Floyd gives you a look like, Shrimpy you can’t be serious, and Jade seems merely amused. Before you leave for your next class, Azul assures you that he will be on hand at the lounge tonight to make sure everything goes perfectly.

You arrive at the lounge exactly on time (Riddle would approve) and head to the host stand. Azul meets you there. He has been waiting for this moment, planning for this moment, practicing for this moment; this is his moment! He takes one look at you and freezes. His confidence visibly fades, and he attempts to speak but all that comes out is a meek mutter. “Azul, Azul…AZUL!” you shout to get his attention, “Is he here?” Azul’s nervous look reverts back into his business mask. “I’m so sorry prefect but I’m afraid this has arrived before you.” He reaches into his jacket and removes a letter (Plan B!) and places it in your hands. “He has left instructions by letter for your dinner tonight. Allow me to seat you in our best booth.”

Your hopes are crushed but you tell yourself that you are at least getting a free meal out of your secret admirer. “He left very explicit instructions. I assure you that he has chosen only the very best. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.” Azul reassures you. “And for what it’s worth…I’m sorry.” He says quietly before leaving to grab you a drink.

The whole night, Azul acts as your personal waiter. You are so appreciative that he is taking time out from managing the lounge to keep you company. By the end of the meal, you’ve even gotten your spunk back. Each time Azul brings you a new course chosen by your mystery admirer, you both gush over the choice and speculate about why they may have picked such an item.

At the end of the night, Azul walks you to the Octavinelle mirror; you tell him it’s not necessary, but he insists. He takes your hand before you go. “Prefect…I hope you had a good evening tonight, in spite of everything.” You smile back at him and give his hand a reassuring squeeze. “I did, thanks to you Azul. Who knows, maybe next time I’ll see my admirer in person!” Azul gives you a faraway look, “Yes. Maybe next time…”

One of the first indicators that Floyd is becoming interested in you is that he will start spending a lot more time with you. He is now your study buddy, hangout partner and personal bodyguard. Any time you need someone, Floyd just seems to be there.

As he falls deeper and deeper, he starts caring about your opinion more. If you ask him to do something, Floyd will actually listen to you. Can he stop teasing Riddle? He guesses he can play with Shrimpy instead. Stop goofing off and do his homework? If you wanted to help studying, you should have just said. Can he not squeeze that student too much? Well, he’ll have to explain it a bit to Azul, but he supposes he can let him off a bit easy. You have as much influence with Floyd as Jade now; and that is really saying something!

One of Floyd’s love languages is giving gifts. At first, he tries to give you expensive items like sneakers that match his own, but you tell him you are uncomfortable accepting something that expensive. After that, he sticks to things he finds himself. You get a small gift each time he takes a walk around campus or a visit to the beach. They are things like shells, interesting rocks and flowers; each small treasure makes you smile because you know he was thinking of you when he picked it up. You put them on a shelf in your room and Floyd smiles each time he visits you at Ramshackle and sees the carefully preserved collection.

Sometimes, when he is having a bad day, Floyd asks to lean his head on your shoulder. He just stays that way for a while, breathing deeply and staying uncharacteristically quietly. After a time, he stands and gives you a small sleepy smile before walking away. You aren’t sure what that is all about but if it helps Floyd with his famous moods, you are glad to do it.

Soon comes a time when you are the one having a bad day. Floyd notices you aren’t your usual self. “Hey Shrimpy, want to know what always makes me feel better?” he asks. “Sure Floyd, I’m willing to try anything at this point to make me forget Crowley’s latest stupid demand.”

He sits beside you and draws you towards him until your head is resting gently against his chest. You get flustered and try to ask him what he is doing but he only shushes you. “Quiet Shrimpy. Just listen.” You oblige him and sit quietly, silently willing the blood to stop rushing to your face. “What am I supposed to be listening for?” you ask him.

“When I feel rotten, I like to find someone I care about and listen to their heartbeat. Then you calm yourself down until your heartbeats match.” Floyd tells you in a serious voice. You recall all the times that Floyd has asked to lay on your shoulder and think about what that means. This is having the opposite effect of calming you down. Floyd senses your increasing heartrate and looks down at you. You meet his eyes silently. Now both your hearts are racing. You suppose this is also a way to match heartbeats.

Rook’s habit of being overly poetic and praiseful soars to new levels. He greets you each morning with a romance-novel-worthy line about love and/or beauty. If you are very observant, you might also notice he reserves certain pet names or beauty comparisons for you alone. It’s because you occupy such a unique place in his heart! Only your eyes could remind him of the wide eyes of his prey during a hunt; so clear and enrapturing.

You are as important to Rook as Vil and so he will begin helping you out in the same way he helps Vil. You’ll have a first-class stylist in Rook to advise you on your outfits and overall look. It’s strange the first time Rook tells you that you really should wear a scarf if you intend to pull off that blazer look but he is absolutely right. By listening to his frequent advice, you become more fashionable, healthy and overall beautiful. Rook gets to spend time with you giving advice and seeing your beauty advance to a new level; it’s a total win-win situation for him.

One of the best perks about having Rook’s interest is that he lets you see the campus through his eyes. His hunter’s instinct and eye for beauty have driven him to explore every nook and cranny of Night Raven College. He has seen and discovered many wondrous things that he now wishes to share with you. Things like where you can see the best sunsets and sunrises, the room where the stained glass creates lovely patterns on the wall in the afternoon or the path behind the colosseum where you can smell the wildflowers blooming. He is not only sharing these places with you but a part of himself by allowing you this insight into his thoughts.

One morning before classes, Rook Invites you to go on a sunrise walk. He takes you out along a nearly hidden path through the forest until you reach a clearing. In the clearing is a target. “Mon amour, I thought today I would share the thing I love most with the one I love most,” says Rook while holding one hand to his chest and the other gesturing artfully.

You sit on a log and watch Rook skillfully shoot his bow. His forearms strain has he holds the string back taunt, his steady gaze focused on the target. When he releases the arrow, his lips upturn just a small bit in satisfaction. A long history of practice lets him know he will be successful long before the arrow finds its mark.

After watching for a bit, you ask Rook if you can try your hand at it. He gives you a knowing smile and hands you the bow. You set an arrow and try to pull back the string, but you can’t even make it budge. You realize then the amount of strength Rook must have to use his bow. “Shall I assist you, mon amour?” Rook asks slyly.

Rook goes to your side and puts his arms around you. His hands rest right below yours on the bow and string as you hold the arrow in place. “Now pull,” he whispers in your ear. You do as he says and this time, with his assistance, you are able to draw the bow. You excitedly attempt to aim and release the arrow. It does not hit the target.

“Non, non, non,” chides Rook. “You are far too eager mon trésor. Focus.” Again, he positions himself behind you and helps you draw the bow. You attempt to focus as much as you can on the target and not on the way Rook’s breath feels on the back of your neck. A few deep breaths of your own and you release. This time your arrow does hit the target and you cry out in excitement. You hear Rook quietly say “perfect”; not in his normal joyful tone but in a quiet and serious one. When you turn to look at him, he isn’t looking at the target at all but deeply into your eyes.
