The Arcana is amazing!!

I love the Arcana!! I haven't played it in a while but I remember playing back before the story for the main 3 was even finished!! Then I started college and I never finished Julien's route.......lol

Also, since I'm into Touchstarved now too, didn't some of the people from Redspring Studios work on the Arcana? Either that or they worked on Last Legacy (which I haven't played) and that had some Arcana people involved...maybe I should just keep tabs on this creators and see what they do next lol

Hiiiii I got into Our Life (not done with it but Cove is ADORABLE) and I was just wondering if anybody had any otome/VN recommendations! Bonus points if they're free (DLC ok but the ending should be F2P and not behind a paywall) or cheap or if they have a customizable/up to interpretation MC ^^ no worries if not I'd just like to expand my repertoire. Feel free to drop by with any recs, even if you don't find this post until months later or something lol!!

Thinking about a cliche Disney Channel moment during VDC where MC is standing to the side and watching the show but when Vil has his little solo moment right before the last chorus there's just something about him and MC falls in love RIGHT THEN. Shoujo sparkles optional but encouraged.

ALSO I didn't realize this until I started typing but !! Vil admits that he wasn't doing his best on stage!! Right there seems like a prime time for him to be losing steam and risking falling apart! Something about it is so sweet if MC saw him OVERBLOT and then potentially his lowest moment during the performance is when they fall in love.

Standing there in the crowd and the hear Vil nail the part and he's reaching out towards the crowd like he's begging for them to connect even if he can't bring the message as far as he'd like.....everybody else sees Vil's spectacle but all Yuu can see his how hard he tries and how important it is to be his best and how hard he worked and is working so the show can go on...and you stop your little dance and stand there awe struck for a moment....and then he lets go of the note and the performance continues but you feel like your life has fundamentally changed....

ITS SO PERFECT because there's no way Deuce would know how. And the song is first of all my absolute top favorite love song (followed closely by I See the Light) but listen.

Lyrics like "it's like catching lightning, the chance is of finding someone like you" - "even a thousand miles can't keep us apart // 'cause my heart is wherever you are" - "no mountain's too high and no ocean's too wide // 'cause together or not, our dance won't stop" all can be used as allusions to the possibility of Yuu leaving through the portal if Crowley ever figures it out, as well as the general growing pains of eventually graduating NRC

The beginning verses where Gabriella is coaching and comforting Troy - "take my hand, take a breath, pull me close, and take one step" - are cute and all BUT "keep your eyes locked to mine and let the music be your guide" is so deuceyuu. I can see him refusing to look at you and getting red from his neck to the tips of his ears, so you have to gently turn his head so that he's actually looking at you and he's COMBUSTING

"Won't you promise me that you'll never forget to keep dancing wherever we go next" - and "let it rain, let it pour, what we have is worth fighting for // you know i believe that we were meant to be" is cute because again. The uncertainty of whether Yuu will be staying or not. But also they've fought overblots and been through so much together!! It's like a little "no matter what happens remember I love you and will do anything to keep you smiling"

And finally TROYS VERSE. IMAGINING IT MAKES ME SOFT. Deuce getting the hang of it and saying "take my hand, I'll take the lead" - because he wants to be dependable also!!! He wants you to know you can depend on him and he can help you feel safe and protected!! "and every turn will be safe with me" PLEASE its perfect

And the "don't be afraid to fall, you know ill catch you through it all," in the movie Troy dips Gabriella which is hella cheesy but its SO CUTE AND ROMANTIC and you can't tell me he wouldn't try. But also! It means that through ever blunder and every setback whether in battles or real life, he will be there to catch you 🥺 he's got your back
