I'm a little bit late about it but I really like how they made Jade more expressive in manga.
In game he has more restrained sprites. Unlike Floyd's, Jade's poses are always closed with his hands rare go beyond his own body, showing his respect to others' personal space and unwillingness to left his own without guard.
And of course his sprites don't change in his eel form. So I was very surprised when I saw this one frame. In comparison with in-game sprites it makes me look at the character from a bit different angle in this scene.
Looking at the manga frame I can tell this guy is here to stop me, he's ready to mess with me and make fun of it knowing his advantages.
Don't get me wrong, I like Jade's original sprites but some situations really lack of that expressionism from his side.
That's why I'm in love with him on this one.
His pose is still more restrained than Floyd's but at the same time it shows his passion and pleasure he has from keeping things under his control (the way he looks down on you👀👀)
The other matter which made really happy in manga is showing Leech brothers are BROTHERS. Like real relatives, who were always together on their life path. The manga made it before but this chapter showed it on a completely different level.
The way their tales intertwine with each other, the way they stand(swim?) very close to each other, the way their faces reflect each other in the expression. All of this just so good😭
And also all these frames shows Jade really expressive and I like it so much.
This chapter was made for the tweels, I don't accept any objections😤 Can't wait to see how octaep will surprise us next time.

Question: What is happening in the Twst Manga: Episode of Octavinelle?
The mangaka has returned to the designer/illustrator team of Kowono Sumire and Hazuki Wakana, the same pair who created Episode of Heartslabyul!
Question: What about Yuu?
We have a third Yuu! Our new protagonist is 16-year-old Mito Yuuta (三途 宥太).
His father runs a Chinese restaurant. He was on a food delivery when he was struck by NRC’s black carriage and woke up at the school’s opening ceremonies.
Just like Yuuken and Yuuka, Yuuta has already experienced Books 1 and 2.
There has been no mention of the previous Yuus.
Question: Why was Octavinelle released before Savanaclaw concluded?
We don't know! But the Savanaclaw artist did go on hiatus at one point, so that may have shifted the publishing schedule.
Question: What else is different between books?
Nothing yet! It is extremely faithful to the game, opening with Grim studying for the test, Grim/Ace/Deuce checking their scores and anemones. (Jade's scenes are amazing!)

Edit: Apparently his name is Yuuta, 16 yo. Maybe his surname is Mito, from what I heard in Reddit. I also read there that his family owns a Chinese restaurant, until you have better sources or find where it says that yourselves don't take it as official.

YUUTA
I love this guy already. He's so sweet making Grim breakfast! And knows how to enjoy a good meal, and he makes sure Grim will too.
And I'm really happy to see that he's just...well, a kid. He's the youngest Yuu we have so far (Yuuka is 17 along with Yuuken iirc), and unlike those two, he doesn't know how to fight. He's just a kid with a part time job helping out the family business. Though he'd definitely be able to knock you down with a frying pan. I feel out of the 4 Yuus (Yuuya, Yuuken, Yuuka, him), he's the most normal one. Not to mention he's plus sized; something that I would expect the least, given how main characters are usually made as appealing as possible, chubbiness being something that isn't really seen as 'appealing'. Especially considering this is Japan we're talking about. I just hope he doesn't end up a stereotype, but I have faith that he'll end up distinct and just as good as the other Yuus.
This is the guy who'll outsmart Azul's oh so perfectly constructed business. This is the guy who'll risk his right to housing, for the three people he's come to care about, who've come to care for him. This is the guy that will emerge to the top, and still be kind and understanding.
I think that right there is really powerful message, and I hope the people that need to hear it are able to.
On that note, I'm going to be very scared for when Yuuta's backstory comes around. That boy couldn't have gone through life without bullying, unfortunately. But it's probably also going to be a great moment to show just how empathetic and mature he is. I have high hopes for this guy, both as a character and for the topics that can be tackled with him.
In any case, my man better be attuned with the wok hay.

Octavinelle Manga Spoiler
I just read the new Octavinelle manga, and I love the new MC, Mito Yuuta. I feel like I'm looking at a TW version of Po the Panda with his dad, the TW version of Mr. Ping. Instead of resentful of his past like Azul, this one is so jovial and outgoing, he never resented his past self. This Yuu is really going to hit Azul hard. I feel like every Yuu in the mangas, represents the dorm leaders or vice in Jamil's case, of who they wanted to be, but rejected it due to some circumstances in their childhoods. I can't wait to raed more of the manga.

This chapter of the Octavinelle manga is the part of book 3 where they try to sneak into Azul's office and swipe the contracts the first time (only to be caught and attacked by Azul, Jade, and Floyd)

It sticks out very obviously (like they say it does in the game), but I'm so used to his tail being depicted as very fluffy in both fan art and his full body in-game models that I almost didn't recognize it in this panel.

In other (non-insane Octavinelle-related news)! The 4koma does not focus on Octavinelle and Scarabia characters as we've predicted (since the first 4koma focused on Ace and Leona, respectively).
This month's comics focus on Silver in Musicology/Music class and Ortho doing Summoning. The Silver comics feature Idia, Ruggie, Malleus, and Lilia as side-characters, and the Ortho comics feature Idia (yes, again lol; he's the character with the most frequent appearances across the 4koma's 2 month run so far), Floyd, Vil, and Crewel.

I'm so confused right now.
I've read the entire Episode Of Heartslabyul manga and moved into the Episode Of Savanaclaw but I've been able to find it only up to Chapter 4 "Criminal Insight", where do I find chapter 5? Has it not been translated yet? Because if that's the case how come the first two chapters of Episode Of Octavinelle is already out in English?
I'm so confused please help 😂
