being struck by a curse was already frightening enough on its own but knowing that the cure is something deemed as impossible – which is a true love’s kiss – you knew you were doomed for life. from what you knew, the curse given to you was you’d fall into a sleep-like death the moment you reach a certain age in adulthood. ever since then, you had no hope that you’ll ever live past that age.

your beloved remained unaware of this curse, however. it’s not like you didn’t want him to know, it’s just that he never asked, but then again, who would casually ask someone if they have been cursed?

you can imagine the fear and worry showing in his eyes the moment you lost your consciousness. the two knights immediately got to your aid while he rushed to you and assessed your physical being, to see if you were alright. you seem to be asleep and yet your heart was barely beating.

it took a lot to keep his composure, but lilia knew all too well that malleus was close to losing his mind any moment now. the older fae assisted the two knights by carrying you to a bed, to ensure you rest properly before they call for a magic doctor to check on your health.

“i don’t see any health issues… however, there is a trace of a powerful spell in their being similar to that of a curse,” spoke the doctor as they looked up to see the faces of the four diasomnia members. malleus’ eyes widened at the revelation as he replied, “a curse? she never told me she had one…”

the doctor sighed and proceeded to share the diagnosis with them in a sad manner, “her curse seemed to have something similar to death, but seeing as she looks as if she is asleep, we can deduce what she was struck with…”

the doctor did not need to continue talking as he knew that the four immediately knew what the curse was and its cure. lilia thanked the doctor for his help as malleus knelt on the floor right beside your sleeping corpse, holding your hand and sensing how cold it was slowly becoming, and yet your face showed no signs of death.

“such curse has a cure that we deem impossible, malleus…” spoke lilia gently, trying to console the young prince after losing his loved one. malleus tried not to have a breakdown, holding your limping hand tighter as he caressed your cheek, “true love’s kiss… is there really such thing?”

“like i said, an impossible cure…” replied lilia, but he was also determined to know if such thing was true, “…but we can try.”

malleus looked at you for a moment, brushing his thumb over your cheek as silver and sebek watched. a moment passed and he decided to lean close, placing his lips on yours for a bittersweet kiss before pulling away with a sad smile. there was a glint of hope in his eyes, hoping that he was indeed your one true love and that you would wake up, but he also wondered to himself that what if it was not him? what if you did not love him the way he loves you?

all those doubt washed away the moment your eyes fluttered open a bit, and a huge smile was seen on malleus’ face whilst lilia, silver, and sebek let out a sigh of relief. your beloved immediately wrapped his arms around you the moment your eyes were wide open and gazing up at the ceiling, a gasp of surprise left your lips once he hugged you close.

“i’m… alive?” you spoke in a rather surprised tone as you knew you would not survive the curse, and yet here you are in the arms of the man you love the most. malleus placed another kiss on your forehead before giving you a disappointed expression, “why did you not disclose the details of your curse to me? if i had known, i would have done something sooner…” a sigh then escaped his lips, “but… i’m glad you’re awake now.” his embrace tightened as he buried his face into your hair, taking a whiff of your scent to comfort himself as the fear of losing you grew even stronger, “please don’t ever leave me like that.”

━ lilia vanrouge ━

you were done with your lessons for the day and you felt ecstatic to return to your dorm to see your dearly beloved once more. with your books in hand, you walked towards your dormitory’s mirror with a hop on your step, humming a soft tune as you passed by the mirror and walked down the entrance of diasomnia.

upon arrival, you saw malleus and silver on the lounge, drinking what seemed to be black coffee while sebek was by the stairs with a displeased expression, almost as if he was jealous of silver spending some quality time with their master by drinking the same beverage.

you chuckled at sebek’s expression and approached him by the stairs, “you okay?”

sebek huffed in response, “silver is drinking black coffee with the young master! if only i could drink the same beverage, but i cannot stand the taste and prefer it with milk!” you tried not to laugh as you merely smiled, “right, there’s nothing wrong with wanting milk in your coffee, seb.”

you then patted his shoulder and went upstairs, heading to lilia’s room to check if he was there, and indeed he was. you were greeted by a messy sight with some trinkets on the floor and unorganized items on his desk – you knew he had terrible cleaning skills, but you were not expecting this.

and there he was, asleep on his comfy bed as the star that settled atop his bed glowed a little. you sighed and closed the door, approaching your sleeping beloved and taking a seat on the bed, watching his chest rise and fall with every breath as his eyes remained closed, his eyelashes were long and luscious, and his lips were parted.

you caressed his cheek and gently fixed his bangs before placing a soft kiss on his forehead. as you were about to stand up, you felt a hand grasp your own and you turned your head to see your beloved awake with a smile, pulling you down and placing a kiss on your lips.

“looks like i was woken up by true love’s kiss~”

you rolled your eyes at his antics and chuckled before kissing his forehead, “then it looks like i’m your true love, old man.”

━ silver ━

you were exhausted.

your energy was spent after your physical education lessons. you were instructed by coach vargas to run a hundred laps before proceeding with flying lessons, which exhausted the life out of you. with no energy left to spend, you entered the lounge of your dorm and dropped your bag on the floor before plopping yourself onto the couch, not caring about anything else other than sleep.

your eyes went shut as sleep overtook your tired figure. hours have passed, but you had not known how long you were asleep. you were awoken by the feeling of something soft and sweet on your lips, but it unfortunately lasted for a short while, which caused you to flutter your eyes open.

“mm…?”

your eyes fluttered open and the first thing you see is your boyfriend’s slightly surprised expression upon seeing you awake, and that’s when you realised, he kissed you. you smiled groggily at him and ruffled his hair before sitting up, “you woke me up with your true love’s kiss~ hehe...”

silver smiled at your remark and kissed your forehead, “you should rest in your room. i already brought your bag upstairs and fixed the bed for you.”

━ sebek zigvolt ━

sebek had unfortunately fallen ill and had been stubborn the whole time. he refused to take his medicine, saying he did not need it. he refused to rest as he did not want to acknowledge that he had a cold, and went as far as to say that his immune system was not so weak that he’d get sick so easily.

silver sighed at his stubbornness and looked at you for a moment. you gave him a quick glance before approaching sebek and pulling on his arm, “seb, you need to rest.”

“rest? absolutely not, i’m fine! don’t let what the doctor said discourage you! i have no cold,” argued the half-fae as he continued on carrying eight chairs to the mirror chamber all at once. silver opted to help as he carried some chairs too, but sebek insisted he’d do it by himself.

‘how stubborn…’ you thought to yourself as you crossed your arms and waited for him to finish his task. you knew there was no way he would stop now.

once he was done with his task, you dragged him back to the dormitory and made him sit on the couch with a stern expression, “sit.”

“but–!”

“no buts. sit down.” you commanded as you grabbed his medicine, causing him to grumble as he stayed put on the couch, allowing you to nurse him. as you gave him his medicine, he took it without another word before thanking you softly.

after taking his prescribed medication, you sighed and sat down next to him, ruffling his hair with a small smile as you spoke gently this time, “don’t be so stubborn next time… take care of yourself. you’re sick.”

“i can handle a cold…”

“sebek.”

you were always surprised by how much your actions and words affected him. normally, he would never dare to listen and obey a human’s commands, but with you, he does.

“fine… besides, i might be a nuisance to the master if i were to be sick while i stood guard by his side!”

ah, there he is.

you chuckled at his worry over his duties towards malleus. you then smiled and gave him a kiss on his forehead, “here. a true love’s kiss to make you feel better~”

his cheeks immediately went red as he exclaimed, “f/n!!!”

Book 7, Chapter 7, Episode 101:

So the DiaRamshackle squad landed in Ignihyde, where they meet the completely aware Idia. They had thought they got out of a dream into the "real world", but it turns out they're just outside of Lilia's dream but still within Malleus' magical domain expansion-- which is Idia's "dream" now. Proof of this is because Sebek's still wearing his armor.

At this point in time, apparently they haven't really conversed with Idia yet. Sebek barely remembers that Idia's the Ignihyde housewarden LOL.

Sebek: "... That's right! I knew I've seen that face before. You're Ignihyde's housewarden! Back at the entrance ceremony, you attended in some sort of board-like thing. This might be the first time I've seen you in proper form."

Sebek: "I am from Diasomnia, First Year, Class D, Seat 33, Sebek Zigvolt!!" WHY IS HE SO ENTHUSIASTIC LMAO

Sebek: "This dopey man right here is Silver. Second Year, from the same dormitory!!" (DOPEY DSJKNDAS HE'S BASICALLY SAYING HE LOOKS HIGH LMAO)

Idia: "Are Malleus and co.'s ears still fine from being blasted by this boombox everyday at close-range..."

Silver: "Everyone, on alert! Idia-senpai, Grim, prefect, get behind me and Sebek!"

AND SO SUDDENLY THEY'RE GETTING ATTACKED??

Idia: "Wuh?! What's this all of a sudden?! Ow, ow! I'm getting crushed between hard muscles and hard armor!"

So the "darkness" have come for Idia because they sensed that someone needs to be lulled back to sleep lol.

Grim: "Malleus might pop up again to say "You're awake?"..!"

Sebek: "The "darkness" are fine, though I do not know if we can win against Lord Malleus without Sir Lilia..."

"No, we are ready!"

Sebek: "Whether it be the darkness, or Lord Malleus... We will definitely strike back!!!"

Idia: "Uogh... Wai-- too close... Can't... breathe..!"

HE'S LITERALLY SHAKING BACK AND FORTH HELP

AND THEN SUDDENLY SOMEONE SPEAKS!

???: "About Malleus and the dark shadows... You don't need to worry about them for a while. I think he's spending considerable "resources" trying to get Lilia Vanrouge back to sleep."

Ortho: "Hehe, sorry for making you worry."

Apparently, Ortho's appearing in monitor mode for now because trying to appear as his usual form in Idia's dreams causes some serious errors.

Ortho: "Anyway... Everyone, brother's face is already turning blue from asphyxiation. Can you let him go now?"

So the two let go of him and Idia let's in a HUGE GASP FOR AIR

Idia: "ohh I almost descended to the underworld... Tha-thanks for the save, Ortho..."

So anyway, Sebek starts questioning the two what they mean by Malleus using up resources to put Lilia to sleep. Ortho starts the explanation by recounting events. That during Lilia's farewell party, Malleus put everyone to sleep-- no, froze time and space itself. But Ortho in particular managed to escape from the island through communications satellite. Everyone was shocked because Ortho could do something like that?! Ortho just laughs and says his "peculiarity" was helpful, because while he's not a mage and therefore cannot have a unique magic, he can transmit his "soul" through radio waves.

Sebek: "Loathe as I am to admit... but human advancement in machinery is amazing."

Silver chimes in and praises that Ortho's uniqueness is something they can never attain no matter how hard they train. Ortho moves on, explaining that he went to STYX headquarters and there, they hatched the plan for Ortho to infiltrate Sage Island in order to analyze Malleus' unique magic, Fae of Maleficence.

he hasn't had much experience with love, and you know, actually having feelings for someone. he doesn't know what to say or what to really do when it comes to someone like you, that has become so special and dear to him- he doesn't like this feeling of being jealousy one bit, feeling the twinge and burning in his chest when he sees others making advances towards you. he feels as if it's almost inevitable though, he puts you on such a pedestal that he isn't surprised you would have some suitors and people chasing after you.

silver is a bit awkward around you as he doesn't exactly know how to act, he seems to usually be his quiet drowsy self, he is someone who would show you how much you mean to him rather than say it. which is why you would usually find him being around you quite often, also because he is naturally protective of you. which only then lead to the frustrating feeling of jealousy in the first place when he sees how much others sought after you, especially one certain student. he never said anything about it.

he finds himself practicing and training a lot, a lot more than usual as a way to take his mind off the feeling but nevertheless it only makes him think about it more. it only took until lilia noticed his different behavior and it'd lead to him explaining what he’s feeling to his father. lilia would only laugh at how oh so obvious what he’s experiencing and try to give him some advice (is that advice good? who knows.) but he has silvers best interest at heart.

after that i feel like silver would prompt to trying to be more open to how he feels about you, he’ll try to show more through his actions- as usual but tenfold. he isn't someone to be outright mean, but he does… get a little sharper and he tends to move more in front of you to maintain distance away from one of the students actively pursuing you. it's funny in comparison to how sweet he can be around you his mood turns during the chance he sees that boy.

jade leech

oh boy…. jade and jealously is not something that go well together. you would never really suspect him of harboring any sort of jealousy towards some students trying to go after you, it's just usual jade behavior. you don't exactly know what he's thinking behind his courteous smile. he treats you and the others all the same, though it is a little unnerving. in fact, if you ever came up to him telling him about something sweet a student did for you, he’d smile and be like “how lovely, you already have so many admirers hm?” hes plotting

i just know whenever some guy is trying to get all chatty with you when he is around, they feel so unnerved by him its insane, he is giving the student the look and when you turn back to him it's a complete change with a smile. and jade may not be the most understanding of human-land courting and the way love really works on land, but he can still easily out do like anyone that comes your way. jade has mastered ways to get your attention solely back on him, with sweetly spoken words and compliments hehe.

has a habit of talking poorly or down any students that are interested in you. he has usually a huge amount of dirt of fellow students and he's ready to spill it out subtly in order to have you keep your distance from them.

lowkey i would feel bad for the poor student that kept going after you, even after noticing jade's presence around you. with jade practically infatuated with you, it will make him do anything. he's never been someone that doesn't get what he wants. needless to say, some of these admirers would most likely get themselves roped up into trouble with azul.

deuce spade

deuce is genuinely so upset when he hears you telling him and ace about some love letters from an admirer you've been receiving, like he gives you the worst attempt and a laugh and smile being supportive and happy for you. it's so painfully obvious has literally dying inside. he does have his moments though where he takes it personally when some student tries to flirt with you when he’s around you. he is pretty protective of his friends but especially you— it was funny to see him try to get in the face of that one big savanaclaw guy flirting with you ahhakjsdhs

he wants to desperately one up the others so bad, but he doesn't know how. he definitely has called his mom up at some point to be like “mom what do girls like in guys??” kind of thing. he tries so hard to look cool and amazing in your eyes, but those attempts end up with him making a fool of himself and him nervously laughing it off when he sees you giggling. his face does light up when he sees that, surely, he must be doing something right. despite ace and grim’s teasing he can't wipe the smile off his face when you're happy because of him.

sometimes he does feel a little inferior considering he doesn't feel the brightest or suave in comparison towards some of the attention you may receive. but every fumbling sentence of compliments and such he gives you; he means it so genuinely.

although at other times when he does feel upset because of some admirer he always remembers that he's one of the first people you became friends with since you’ve gotten to nrc, you consider him one of your closest friends in fact! he feels quite proud of that…. for now, he does plan on becoming more than just that.

Cradle Tower Incubator & the Dark Mirror Chamber (Meleanor Dark Mirror Theory)

My dear @snakevsnis pointed out to me the similar vibes between Cradle Tower and the Mirror Chamber, and my mind sparked to life! As I was editing the video in my previous analysis post, I realized several things about the Dark Mirror in the prologue that takes on a new context with this recent update of Book 7 Chapter 6

I believe there are visual similarities in the arrangements of Cradle Tower and the Mirror Chamber, or at least with the composition/shape language of it. In Cradle Tower, the egg goes in the center, with a tall column above and below it. There is there “cage” with glowing green lights

In the Mirror Chamber, the Dark Mirror does have this egg-like shape, with the coffins with green lights surrounding it, with the windows/structure in the background that has a similar vibe to Cradle Tower. And in replacement of the column holding the egg, there is a column of glowing green light going down the center of the Mirror. It even has similar dangling green jewels around the ceiling like the Cradle Tower

But like I said, as I was editing the video of my previous post, I realized something. In the Prologue, when the green flames in the mirror flash as Crowley speaks to it, it is extremely similar to the green flames that Malleus AND Meleanor emit when appearing.

Further more, at the very VERY beginning of the prologue, there is darkness before showing the mirror chamber. However, there is this black fog covering the mirror until Crowley speaks to it. A black fog? Like the one that has notably been appearing in dream world, like when Silver realized his connection to the Knight of Dawn, and Lilia beginning to lose himself him to the darkness after Meleanor’s death. Baul and Lilia also believed that Meleanor Overblotted before her death, due to the rise of this black fog and thorns in the area.

What’s really the cherry on top for me is how a hand reaches out from the mirror after this black fog and the GREEN FLAMES, flames which in this game, have only been associated with the Draconia family. And with a hand that, with a closer look at the in-game assets, looks a lot like Meleanor’s hand if her gloves were removed.

So what does Cradle Tower have to do with this theory? I think the visual similarities are purposeful: implying the exact purpose that Crowley or Maleficia or whoever has in store for the Dark Mirror. An incubator is an enclosed, controlled environment/apparatus that will artificially raise and hatch an egg. If we apply this line of thinking to the Mirror Chamber, assuming Meleanor is trapped inside the Dark Mirror, some part of her has been artificially kept alive in the mirror, trapped until she can released (perhaps when she gathers enough blot?), much like a hatching egg. Because who knows, maybe the Dark Mirror will shatter and be destroyed if Meleanor is released, furthering this imagery of an egg.

And looking at the Mirror Chamber in the prologue again, there is a beam of light going through the mirro, and a green fountain below. The chamber is even in an enclosed area too. A controlled light…water source potentially for humidity…and an enclosed area. Perhaps the Mirror Chamber is serving as a protection, or even as a literal incubator to the Dark Mirror???

ADDITIONALLY, we learn in Fairy Gala that the temperature of NRC and its dorms are artificially controlled with a huge magestone. The more I think about it, NRC and the Mirror Chamber meet all the “technical” conditions for an Incubator. I LOST IT when I rewatched this scene in Fairy Gala, because CROWLEY SPECIFICALLY KEEPS IT IN THE MIRROR CHAMBER, THAT HE FORBIDS PEOPLE FROM ENTERING WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION. IN THE MIRROR CHAMBER HELPPP 😭😭😭 The Magestone is huge too, so it could possibly doubly serve as a magic source for the Dark Mirror.

And further more, dragon eggs can only be hatched with true love. In the Prologue, Crowley is practically worshipping the Dark Mirror or someone in it, his “proud, beautiful flower of evil.” In all technicalities, Crowley has recreated this Cradle Tower at Night Raven College, with controlled lighting, controlled temperature, a water/humidity source, an enclosed area, a magic source, and possibly true love. NSJXJXBSJSJCJXSJB

FURTHERMORE, Book 7 has begun to go into interesting extent of possibilities of technology and magic in the Twisted Wonderland world. For example, Ortho brings up the Crystal radio, and how a silver cap on a tooth MEETS THE RIGHT CONDITIONS to work as a radio, saying they weren’t intended that way, but “it just a coincidence that they do.”. He then elaborates that the mirror in Ramshackle Dorm could also potentially meet the right conditions for a Viewglass. Two examples of things not intended for something, but meeting the right conditions…much like a Mirror Chamber that could meet the right conditions for an incubator.

This guy is protective. People talk how boring you are in comparison to your twin? Deuce had to hold him back to beating them into… red messes

Sometimes he would also be grocery shopping for the dorm, see something and ask himself if he should buy it for his sibling on the other side of that seperation

Five seconds later he has to hold back a scream because he realised that he sees you as his own sibling

You know those religious moms that have a meltdown when someone says something against the foundation of their religious believes?

Whaaaat? TheOverseer has a twin? Are they testing him by showing him an illusion looking exactly like them?

Only after Malleus had a long, calming talk with him about his they don't really know that much about the Overseer despite them being their god

So after many emptied cups of tea and many sleepless nights, he finally accepts it

Whilst your twin governs this world you two share some banter and oh, how lovely it is

It almost feels like the old days when Silver and Sebek were much younger...

He definitely bursts into tears of happiness when he sees the two of you being so close

- Mathura is based on the Ramakien character Maiyarap (ไมยราพ)! Maiyarap is a violent yaksha with light purple skin, and is a dangerous warrior who later on died by the hands of Hanuman.

- It took me painful hours to come up with his Unique Magic name, and I even had help from my sister😭 So the name is not the best, I know </3

- Maiyarap had two abilities, one is to make an entire army to fall asleep by his flute, and second is to turn invisible👁️👁️. I wanted something along those lines for Mathura, but I realized that the original ability is similar to Malleus’s.

- I really, really like the name “Maiyarap” and initially wanted to use that name but I decided not to because Mathura is based on him, not a carbon copy of him.

- The rose carving on his earring symbolizes the flowers on a dancer’s crown (ชฎา), which also means that Mathura does dancing in his free time!

- Mathura’s purple hair is purely based on the fact that Maiyarap had purple skin✨

- Unfortunately, Mathura is usually in the deep sea so he is technically considered an NPC. But I can promise that there will be appearances of him in my big project (regarding the mysterious oc of mine 👀)

- Not so fun fact, I redrew him 3-4 times. Those were not happy times at all. I suddenly forgot how to draw old men and I struggled SO bad.

- Mathura is dressed like the uncle next door (for those SEA fans out there, yes he’s only clad in a towel wrapped around his hips) but tbh his age would make him more like a great great great great great great great grandpa next door-

꧁𝐀𝐛𝗼𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐚꧂

- Mathura Atthakornmetha was the general of Attidaya (East of Scalding Sands) for centuries until he was exiled to the deep sea due to treason.

- The deep sea in Attidaya is home to sea dragons known as naga, and Mathura has made one his own pet named Nham!

- As his surname suggests, he is Anan’s uncle! However, they have only met on several occasions, and Anan was still a child in those times.

- Charin knows Mathura very well, since Mathura was his mentor back in the deep sea. They cut ties as soon as word got around that Charin was getting fighting lessons from a criminal though, yikes😟

- Mathura was a very strict and ruthless mentor at that time, and he’s guilty of it ever since Charin left. He couldn’t help but think that maybe he should’ve been more gentle with the merman, since he was such a young boy :(

- The huge gash on his chest was caused by none other than Anan’s father right before the verdict that leads to Mathura’s exile.

- Mathura is a very…unhinged and vulgar type of guy. He’s incredibly blunt too, will tell you straight on about what he thinks and feels. He’s not the type to sugarcoat his words, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t feel bad about it afterwards…..on rare occasions.

- Mathura sucks, and I mean SUCKS at naming things. Never let this man name your pet cuz bro named his own pet naga Nham, which literally means WATER.

- “Well, she’s in the water and she’s a sea dragon, so?” <— his words

- Speaking about his pet naga, he babies her so much. He would clean her scales as a hobby. He just loves taking of a sea dragon that can swallow him hole🥰 would use a baby voice to talk to her too-

- You might be thinking that Mathura probably respect women like Anan and Charin. You’re not wrong, but he also won’t hold back with women unlike those two. A woman’s gonna fight him? Bring it on honey cuz he ain’t holding back too💪👹

- Bro’s the type to have a resting bitch face and is ACTUALLY a bitch, too.

- Yes, he knows Lilia.

When you get together

It was an unexpected twist in the story. He was slated to be a va in the next phase of the story, so he had had hope. Until your book in this phase came out. Neige was voice acting as an evil millionaire's son. After the climax of the story, it was clear they were alluding to you humanizing that character.

But he still had hope! Until he got his script, and his character single handedly match made the two of you.

He's furious! Of course you'd end up with Neige! He can't have anything, can he?

He gives Neige the silent treatment for a couple weeks. Which he does a lot anyway, and Neige is too sweet and just assumes he's busy, so on the whole, he doesn't act too out of the ordinary.

Until he sees Rook's fanart of you and Neige kissing under a cherry blossom tree….

When you break up

It was truly a devastating break up, and it left the fandom in shambles. Your and Neige's characters just had too many differences, particularly with Neige's character not being super respectful of human livelihoods.

He wasn't part of this arc, his character was somewhere else with some random potato, but he'd heard it was coming ahead of time because Neige had come to him asking for pointers on how to up his villain game. Neige was excited to be the bad guy, and knew Vii would be so helpful!

Vil is smiling the entire time. Neige thinks it's because they are having fun together. Spoiler alert, that's not it.

All his simmering rage resurfaces when the arc comes out and Rook is still doing fanart of you and Neige.

And I quote, "Why shouldn't I draw the two most radiant individuals in love's embrace?"

When you get together

Malleus had locked his door when the update with your book came out. He was so excited, giggling like a schoolgirl as he binged the entire 100 chapters.

The weather progressively gets worse and worse as he reads through it. By the time he's finished it's pouring, there's dangerous amounts of lightning, and hail has hit more than one poor Diasomnia resident.

Lilia quickly hits up the twst version of reddit, and finds out your childhood friend confessed to you, and you accepted.

As fast as he can, he sends in emergency commissions to Mal's favorite fanfic authors, paying an ungodly amount of money for speed, and slips the finished products under the door.

The weather eases up, and after about an hour, Mal emerges, pretending his makeup and face isn't tear stained.

There are a huge influx of anon requests requesting "lonely fae prince who comforts Y/N after (childhood friend's) grisly murder". The author's think it has to be more than one person. It's not.

When you break up

You and your friend broke up because what you both thought was a crush, was really just a strong friendship. You're still both on good terms, just free to pursue other people.

He's got a very intimidating smile on his face all day. That's it.

When you get together

At your job, there was a worker who was a year older than you. He was a real stick in the mud. Always insisting that everyone follow the rules. Poo pooing on parties. Ace had thought it was a throwaway character. Until you confessed to him!

Your body pillow is in time out. I mean, it is not so different from normal in that it lives under his bed. But now, if it was a moment he would have snuggled it in the past, he will look under the bed, tell you to think about what you've done, and pout.

He boycotts the game for a while as well. As though his anger at this turn of events will outweigh all the millions of people in the fandom who adore this couple.

Poor Deuce, in this specific version of the au, ships it really hard. I don't think I have to tell you about the verbal assault he gets from Ace on this matter.

When you break up

Truly a devastating moment. Your partner had been secretly cheating on you with someone even more rebellious than you.

Ace is smug as hell! He's going off on Deuce at all hours of the day! He told him so! He knew it wouldn't last! He was right, you'd never fall for a stick in the mud loser!

Your body pillow is still in timeout. You did this to yourself, and he's not sure you've learned your lesson.

When you get together

He was so excited to work with Vii again! Since they hadn't been able to work together in so long, it was nice when Vil joined the project. And then Vil's character kissed you…

He's fine! It's fine! That's fine! You're not real, it's okay! And even if you were real, he doesn't have the time for a relationship, between his acting and schooling. It's totally fine!

He's not sad! He's not! In fact he's happy because it means Vil's character is going to be even more important to the story, so they can keep hanging out!

It's totally fine!

When you break up

Vil didn't have as much time in his schedule these days. So the best thing to do was to kill his character.

It was devastating for you, and you'd definitely have lifelong trauma, but the death scene went viral, and people have gone nuts with Vil's last words to you. Neige has even seen videos of people adding them to their wedding vows!

You're not real though. So it's fine! It's okay! He shouldn't be attached to a fake character anyway, so it's fine!

He feels guilty that he doesn't feel guilty over how happy he is that Vii's character is dead…

When you get together

Jade and Floyd were quietly sitting in their room, doing their own thing, when Floyd's phone suddenly smashed into the wall by Jade's head.

The last thing Jade saw on the screen before the image flickered off and the phone shut down forever was, "I love you, even though I hate mushrooms."

Now, Jade was super far behind in the story, but he knew enough to know that 1. His brother was madly in love with you and 2. You had clearly just confessed to someone who must have been as into mushrooms as he was.

It would be amusing if Floyd hadn't started smashing his terrariums.

Quickly calling in Azul, who was one of the few people who could pin Floyd, they gave him some tranquilizers, then cleaned up the shattered glass in the room.

Floyd has no motivation to do anything for the next several days. He also picked three fights with various students. It takes a long time for him to be okay again, and as I said in the initial HC's, he is no longer allowed to play the game without supervision.

When you break up

Heh heh. Ha ha ha. HA HA HA MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!

Deuce Spade:

Deuce is stressed out. He’s certainly not ready to be a dad and he doesn’t know if he’s gentle enough to hold your baby. And YOU being the one he was paired with made it WORSE. He could deal with getting a bad grade on this project, but for you to see him as a potentially horrible partner with not a nurturing bone in his body? Every interaction he’s on edge, thinking twice about each action and truly acting as though he’s handling a newborn.

Lilia Vanrouge:

My god, was Lilia tempted to pull some risky stunts like he did with Silver. He couldn’t just say he already raised a child so he should automatically pass but there was something a little invigorating about getting to raise another baby, even if it was fake. He coos, is attentive, and an overall good father which makes you feel a few warm and overwhelming emotions. Silver also feels a certain nostalgia seeing Lilia read a sack of flour a bedtime story.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Riddle takes the project in a surprisingly serious manner, but you should have expected that from him. He’s a little clumsy and not accustomed to giving affection to an inanimate object, but he does try when Trey jokes that it’s part of being a parent. He gets red in the face when it’s addressed as your baby together, which earns him a bit of teasing. Sebek is totally willing to abandon your baby for Malleus duty, though he’s at least slightly torn as he does care about his academics. He likely leaves the flour baby in your capable hands, relying on you entirely unless you complain. He cared enough about your feelings to compromise, saying it’s just to assure a perfect grade, and will occasionally bring the flour baby on his guard duties.

Malleus: Rosehearts' team had guessed that it was due to a powerful curse and the reason behind it was jealousy, however— *starts laughing again*

If I had to describe Lilia Vanrouge without trying to spoil Twisted Wonderland, I’d say that he and Buddha would most likely be best buddies, Zerofuku would love and respect him, and he would be the ‘Nightmare Duo’ with Loki *Of Pranks* especially towards each other (He’s a really funny and cool character)

Plus I would 110% believe that if Child!Reader ever asks him “Are you my Fairy Godmother?” He would instantly say ‘Yes’ in less that a Heartbeat (He’s a silly character) All his cards are really beautiful, he knows he’s a cutie and likes to show it off (Also today is his Birthday and he pulls on your heartstrings to come to his party, or else he’ll cry *He uses his cuteness*)

He would also definitely call Child!Reader ‘Baby Bat’

I decided to do this request with Eri!reader as I feel like that would make it adorable. This character does sound like a lot of fun!

-You didn’t know what to make of this new person who came to Valhalla and was hanging out with your family members.

-He and Buddha were almost always having tea and eating snacks together, and you had seen him always be really nice to Zerofuku, who looked up to him like a big brother, Zerofuku told you that you would like him too.

-You were a little shy, as you normally were with new people, staying close to those you trusted until you deemed a new person safe, as you knew that your family would always protect you.

-Zerofuku did tell you that Lilia and Loki had gotten into trouble and had been put into timeout, after they had gone on a prank-spree, pranking anyone they could.

-You knew Loki was funny, as he would always hide behind you if he got into trouble, and he would pull harmless pranks on you, like dumping flower petals over you, which always made you laugh.

-You began to follow Lilia, which is what you did when you wanted to get to know someone, as you would watch them from afar, investigating them.

-Lilia knew you were doing this, and he had learned from Loki, Zerofuku, and Buddha, that you were a very fragile child and that he should let you come to him in your own time, else you would be scared of him.

-Lilia didn’t want that! So, he made sure to never do anything scary around you and soon you were getting closer and closer to him, wanting to see his pretty cards up close and you wanted to have a tea party with him too.

-When you finally got the courage to approach him on your own, but Zerofuku and Buddha were also there, Lilia beamed brightly down at you, “Hello my little bat- I could feel your cute little stare!” He ended his statement with a wink, surprising you, he looked so pretty up close!

-You looked a little shy, looking over at Buddha who gave you a grin and a small nod as Lilia held out one of his hands, so you could take it, letting you be in charge before you looked up, your eyes sparkling lightly, “Are you my fairy godmother?”

-Silence filled the room before Lilia collapsed out of his chair and to the floor, clutching his chest as Buddha roared with laughter while you were confused about what happened.

-Lilia couldn’t stand it- you were just too cute!

-He quickly got you a chair for the tea party before he gave you big puppy eyes, “Y/N- my birthday is tomorrow and I’m having another tea party- will you come?”

-Your eyes went huge, hearing that it was his birthday as you smiled, killing all of them with cuteness, “Can I?” Lilia wanted to hug and cuddle you close, but held back, for now.

-He did not hold back the following day, when you presented him with a crayon drawing of himself and you holding hands, with ‘my fairy godmother’ written out on top, misspelled and a little messy, but he collapsed to his knees, hugging you close as he ugly cried, “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever been given!!”

-You were happy that he liked it, as you had worked really hard on it! You liked this funny man, he was a bit loud at times, but he was always really gentle and kind with you, so it was hard not to like him.

-When you called him big brother for the first time, he was sure he saw a light at the end of a dark tunnel, which strangely sounded like Buddha and Loki laughing.

-Lilia loved the idea of being your big brother, at least one of them, as he was quick to realize why you were so special to all of them, he would protect you with his life!

Just because Diasomnia does a lot of training doesn't automatically mean their lore-accurate bodies would look like bodybuilders btw lmao. Huge muscles aren't achieved just by training; they also need extremely specific diet and lifestyle.

Lilia will most likely not have trained and raised them that way, as being "too thick" will severely hinder their speed and reaction time. They are trained to be knights. This means their priority is in well-rounded stats rather than just power. If anything, they're likely to have the an ice climber body type, as that also puts heavy importance on endurance which is important for a knight on duty. If you've watched survival shows featuring physical prowess of different professions, you'll know that ice climbers despite their "thin looking body" are absolute well-rounded monsters.

So yeah, us asking for a bit of accurate muscles for the Diasomnia characters aren't us asking them to look like the rock or whatever LOL! We're looking for practical muscles, which they did well in the PE illustrations but unfortunately disappeared everywhere else. 🤣

Note that I am not physical training expert in any way, but I do know a bit of common knowledge when it comes to muscles. At least, enough not to claim that training = automatic powerlifting body 🤣

Back with some more thought experiments! This time, let’s talk about the actual worldbuilding of Twisted Wonderland. I mean, this is a completely separate world where fairytales and fantastical things actually exist. It’s functionally impossible for Twisted Wonderland to just be Earth plus some Disney sprinkled on top.

The biggest point that really gets me is that fact that methods to foresee the future exist. Astrology is a valid class in NRC and Yuu suffers from plot convenient prophetic visions. The mere idea that the future can be foreseen should have huge ramifications on how businesses and governments operate. Imagine knowing the effect of a deal or policy before it even happens. Or minimizing crisis by knowing about it before it strikes.

Magic should also affect technological development. We know that there was an age before magic was widespread among humans, thanks to Trein in GloMas. In that sense, I can see how up to a point technological development may be similar… but post-magic the technology should be different due to a different set of limitations.

Language is also an interesting topic. Setting aside things that humans probably can’t event speak like the Fae languages seen in game, what of the languages used in Twisted Wonderland? Would they be similar to Earth as a result of the Disney movies used to create its history? Does that explain why Rook speaks French?

This isn’t accounting for religion either. The Age of the Gods is a thing, drawing from the Hercules movie. That would mean that the Greek gods actually exist in Twisted Wonderland. So how did they fall out of worship? I mean, only Hades seems to be recognized anymore due to the Great Seven, and not even in a religious way.

Look, I’m going to hit the character count if I keep trying to list all of my questions. This is just all so fascinating! And true to my fixation on Yuu, this is all great content for exploring just how alien Twisted Wonderland must feel. Like, Yuu should honestly ask more questions. I don’t buy how easily they adapted in the game.

I agree that I don't think Yuu would have adjusted as easily as they are depicted to in game, but this is a mobile app gacha game licensed by Disney so it's not going to focus as much on stuff like that. Luckily that's what we're here to do anyway~ I am going to go through these points one by one.

Point One: Astrology

The most we learn about how fortune telling works in game is from the Scalding Sands hometown event. There is an exchange between Cater, Trey, and Jamil about using coffee grinds to tell fortunes, and Trey specifically says something I think is interesting: we get two really interesting lines:

From what's said here we can tell two things: A) there is a distinct difference between types of fortunes and B) a distinct difference in the quality of fortune tellers. Someone like Cater is correct most of the time with his divination, but not everyone will be making actively relying on it for major decisions. I could absolutely see older kingdoms having a seer employed who a ruler could call on for supernatural advice, but I don't think that would be common practice in modern day Wonderland outside of maybe Briar Valley. Besides, just because you know something bad will happen doesn't mean you will be able to efficiently mobilize your forces in time to make a meaningful difference.

Speaking of which, not to touch on spoilers too much but Leven seems to be implied to posses the ability to actually clearly see the future, and as for Yuu's visions...

Well Lilia says he thought they might have a curse like Silver's (not that he knew why they were dizzy)... and the ability to see the future IS often handed out in Greek Myths as a curse, but well. Make of that what you will.

Point Two: Magi-Tech

The way technology works in Twisted Wonderland is a bit vague. From how Idia talks, I think there is a distinct difference between technology and magitechnology, with Idia specifically specializes in the latter. I actually went a really long time thinking that since Yuu hadn't a single trace of magic on them they wouldn't be able to ride a magi-wheel because of how Deuce talks about it syncing with your own magic and what not. Even magicless people in Twisted Wonderland don't seem to be completely magicless, they just don't have enough of a mana pool to actually cast a spell.

I think it would make sense to suggest magic and magitechnology probably affected Twisted Wonderland's development in the same way the silicone chip did ours, but the key difference would be that if you put too much magic into a device most humans can't use it. That would bring up a completely separate set of setbacks and issues... while there might not be a difference in the type of things built their internal construction would definitely be wildly different.

Part Three: Language

I think the easiest answer to this is yes. We know there is a "common" language that most places now use... I like to headcannon that language as being unique to Twisted Wonderland but I have seen some people think it is probably English. Which brings out my scrunchy face because the prevalence of English in our world is because of the British Empire... which never existed in Twisted Wonderland.

Rook speaks French because one of his favorite plays is set in Fleur City/the Shaftlands... which as a side note. In his Vampire card vignette he names the play that made him like Neige so much: Kingsroad~ The Sword to Become King!~ which is literally the Sword in the Stone based off of the little song he sings from it. I have been going crazy since GloMas thinking about if this suggests that King Arthur is french in Twisted Wonderland or if Rook is referring to another play... personally I think he's from Sage's Island but that's a crack for another post

Part Four: Greek Myths and Religion

There doesn't really seem to be any religious presence in Twisted Wonderland at all. It's unclear if Hades was ever worshiped or if he was just referred to as a god due to his perceived immortality and power. Given that there is something called the Jupiter group... and the Shrouds are a branch of the Jupiter family... AND that the Titans you fight in Chapter 6 are yelling about getting to and killing Jupiter... I think that it's highly likely there are events in Twisted Wonderland's history that correlate to the stories of the Great Seven, but didn't necessarily involve the Great Seven themselves. It's just that those events are remembered as having been done by them... for some unknown reason. Not to be conspiratorial... but do we have any proof they ever actually lived in Twisted Wonderland at all? (━＿━)ゝSure there are relics and things, and there are apparently paintings in the Land of Dawning Meusuem, but where did they come from? How old are they? I don't need sleep I need answers, is this a primary or a secondary source about the Queen of Hearts Riddle?

I also wish Yuu would ask more questions, but I get why they don't :/ this is a gacha game blah blah blah but also. I don't think Yuu knows what questions to ask, there's a lot of stuff about life you don't think about as being abnormal until someone looks at you funny and I think Yuu realistically does a lot of that, but if you put every single instance of that into a game it would get very exposition heavy very fast. Luckily you, I, and everyone reading this have massive brains and can talk to each other about it!!!
