“modern architectures seemed to have adapted new designs for their gargoyles. why, i even came across one that resembles a human face. it is quite intriguing, really. i have grown accustomed to seeing gargoyles that usually take the form of different creatures of the night, so seeing that human-like gargoyle sparked some interest in me that i wish to show it to you,” rambled malleus before he frowned, “however, my so-called phone could no longer capture images. it breaks easily, it’s unfortunate.”

you sat as you replied with a soft hum, your chin resting on your hand as you looked up at him with a rather longing and lovestruck gaze. you were paying attention to his ramblings, truly, you were! it just so happened that you were looking at him with an infatuated gaze.

hearing only a hum from you, malleus turned his head to look at his companion. with a raised brow, he spoke, “hm? are you alright?”

his question snapped you out of your thoughts. a soft blush dusted over your cheeks as you felt embarrassed of having been caught staring, “oh, sorry. um… so, did you capture it with… maybe a regular camera?”

once more, there was a frown on his lips, “no, but i will make sure i get to capture its uniqueness and aesthetic the next time i come across that gargoyle.”

it was somewhere around midnight when you decided to accompany malleus in the backyard of the ramshackle dorm, and you spent the past 30 minutes listening to him talk about his findings during his strolls for his gargoyle research club activity.

you loved listening to him speak. his voice was deep and resonant, yet so dulcet and soothing. you would never get tired of listening to him all day. when he speaks with clear passion and excitement laced in his tone, he resembles a young kid who had just gotten some candy – so endearing and oh so innocent, but you had to remind yourself that this was no ordinary man. this was the crown prince of a nation, a man respected by many and feared by many more.

still, who gives a damn about titles when you can enjoy his presence for as long as you want? as long as the moon stays up in the sky and the sun has not risen, you can guarantee his presence in your dormitory.

were you falling in love?

what nonsense. of course not! who could afford to fall in love at a time like this? what you needed to focus on was your return to your world, not fall in love with a prince who may soon be betrothed to someone else.

oh, but that smile…

malleus smiled as he caught you staring once more, lost in your gaze. with a teasing chuckle, he spoke playfully, “am i so captivating that you can’t seem to tear your eyes away?”

what a beautiful smile.

that question alone made you look away immediately. was it too obvious? surely, he was only teasing you, but it was as if he hinted that he knew you might be falling for him. you laughed a little and replied, “i was spacing out! i wasn’t staring or anything…”

“spacing out, hm? does something trouble your mind?” asked malleus. the playful air seemed to have dissipated, replaced with an air of concern and care as soon as you told him you were spacing out.

“not at all,” you replied with a smile, “i was only imagining what that gargoyle with a human face would look like.”

are you falling in love?

again, with such questions! having the desire to spend more time with the man and looking forward to your nightly meetings does not equate to falling in love. you merely wanted his companionship. he was the only one visiting you late at night, keeping you entertained and listening to your troubles. he was more of a friend than anyone else in night raven college – ace and deuce are a category of their own.

there was never a single night he’d bail on you. not a single night had he let you be alone. it had become a tradition at this point for him to always be standing by your window once the clock struck 12. he never arrived empty-handed; there was always a thoughtful gift in tow or an engaging tale of adventures of the people he knew – mostly lilia’s adventures. other times, it would be a treasure trove of fascinating facts on random yet intriguing subjects. with him, each nightly meeting was an enchanting experience, always concluding with the bestowal of a meaningful gift, the creation of lasting memories, or the gain of fresh knowledge.

a knowledgeable and kind-hearted friend.

that’s how you’d always describe him. that’s what you’d always tell yourself. he was nothing more than a knowledgeable, kind-hearted friend. why must your admiration of his character equate to romantic feelings? even friends can find one person cool and not wish to have romantic relationships with them.

oh, but you love holding his hand…

it was another night in night raven college, another night spent with your midnight visitor. he was discussing certain gemstones that he had in his collection – his hoard, a term better suited for his kind. the discussion seemed normal at first glance until he looked at your left hand and held his right hand out for you to hold after taking off his glove.

“may i?”

curiosity washed over your senses as you tilted your head but placed your left hand on top of his anyway. his gentle caress on your knuckles sent shivers down your spine, his hands felt so smooth and oh so gentle, yet you knew of the underlying strength that was concealed within his lovely hands. the same hand that finds ease in cracking a coconut open gently held your own – as if he was afraid of accidentally hurting you.

as his thumb tenderly brushed against your bare ring finger, he spoke, “a beautiful golden ring would best adorn your hand, perhaps one embedded with your birthstone, don’t you think?”

this was merely a casual conversation between friends – a topic of discussion relating to gemstones turned into rings. this is normal, is it not? you hummed in reply as he continued to hold your hand, “a golden ring embedded with my birthstone? that sounds lovely.” a soft laugh then left your lips, “i could not afford to buy one, however.”

hoping he would comprehend your attempt at making a poor joke, you looked at him with a smile. he let out a soft chuckle, leading you to believe he was amused by your jest until his response completely caught you off-guard.

“why buy one when i can have one custom-made for you?”

your smile dropped as your expression turned into shock.

“pardon?”

that night was memorable, and certainly had its surprising elements compared to your other nightly meetings. you thought he was joking about getting a custom-made ring for you, but he had given so many hints and statements that he was completely serious – he even took your ring size. you did not stop him. perhaps it was just another one of his many, many gifts that he had bestowed upon you.

your vague knowledge of fae tradition made you recall a hint of a connection between faes and the art of gift-giving – that exchanging of gifts was an intrinsic part of their nature. you were entirely unaware of the customs and traditions surrounding gifts in briar valley, but surely, gift-giving is a way to show how much one appreciates an important acquaintance, is it not?

after that meeting, you started to realise the growing number of attempts on him holding your hand – whether you’re walking side by side or sitting together on the bench – he would always attempt to interlock his hand with yours in a way that seems respectful. his hand would gently brush against your own while he was talking, giving a hint that he wishes to hold your hand but would rather have your consent first.

you did not hesitate. you smiled and continued listening to his words as you interlocked your fingers together, gently squeezing his hand as he had not worn his gloves like usual. there was a brief moment of his eyes lighting up and his smile growing wider once he felt your hand on his, but then reverted to his usual expression as he continued to share stories with you.

your nightly meetings had extended to daylight hours. you were no longer confined in the moon’s appearance in the sky to determine how long you’d spend your time with him. you did not mind being seen by everyone else in the academy hanging out with the hotshot dormitory leader of diasomnia – who cares about them?

as long as malleus continued to spend his time with you, you’d spend your time with him. your blooming connection had soon become known to everyone else, and those from his dormitory were more than happy to finally see their dorm leader making friends. well, lilia was the proudest, but sebek still has his suspicions.

it has been a long while now since you have established a connection with the lonely crown prince. his companionship was all you could find on all the times you yearned for someone to hang out with. things were going smoothly, and your relationship with malleus kept blossoming every day.

you shook your head as you sighed, trying to think of something else as you sat on diasomnia’s comfortable couch. their lounge was spacious – able to fit more than 20 students at the same time, but you’d rather not stay in the lounge if it gets crowded. the leather couches of their lounge were certainly of high quality as once you took a seat, you felt yourself sinking into the soft depths of the sofa.

malleus was sipping on his tea while the other three kept conversing about their recent school activities. upon hearing your sigh, malleus glanced at you and placed his teacup down, “are you feeling tired?” you shook your head in response, “no, no… not at all…”

perhaps you did. your eyes stayed on malleus for a while as you thought of all the reasons you were drawn to him. malleus had a regal and powerful aura, everyone knew that, but there was also a hint of innocence and loneliness behind that powerful mask of his. you were one of the few people who have witnessed the real side of malleus draconia, while everyone else only knew him as a powerful fae prince.

malleus had the most beautiful set of green eyes – striking and sharp, yet so ethereal and comforting. his eyes showed all the feelings his facial expressions could not, and when it twinkles at the sight or mention of things, he is particularly fond of, you feel a sense of peace within you – as if you felt happy seeing him happy.

for so long have you denied your thoughts and dismissed them as merely friendly observations. you thought he was beautiful, and it should be normal to find someone beautiful, no? you think vil is a beautiful man, but that does not mean you are in love with him, so what makes malleus any different?

but that’s the thing.

malleus draconia’s allure was a level of their own.

his beauty was not like vil’s elegant charm or neige’s endearing appeal. malleus embodies a beauty of ethereal quality – to you, he is a man of enchanting grace and elegance, shrouded in mystery and often veiled in reserve.

luck was smiling down on miss mai bouquet.

hearing the words, “you’re hired”, from the human resource personnel of a local café lifted her spirits. finally, she got a job at a café to help with her studies. after graduation from night raven college, mai was one of the other students who opted for higher education rather than working as a full-time adult.

she does her best and her best rewards her greatly. she was praised at her café job, and her professors have been proud of how wonderful she performed in her college work. hearing the words, “congratulations, miss bouquet. your test results came back with an a”, brought a smile to her face.

life seemed so perfect. everything was going well for her in twisted wonderland. it has been about 4 years since she graduated from night raven college, and while she has been keeping in contact with some of her friends and close acquaintances, they could not find the time to go out and have a chat over tea because of how busy life gets now that they are older.

on a weekend night, mai finds herself in her living room curled up on the couch while watching a musical – a typical night on her day off. feeling relaxed, she felt her eyes fluttering shut as she thought of getting a quick nap.

however, a knock interrupted her peaceful moment.

sitting up from the couch, mai glanced at her door and wondered who the person was. it did not take long until a letter came through her door, and everything went quiet outdoors as if the delivery person left.

“…there are still people delivering mail at this hour…?” mumbled mai to herself as she stood up and grabbed the letter – an elegant dark purple envelope sealed with lavender wax with the sender’s address as well as hers indicated on the back.

‘to miss mai bouquet,

reunions tend to occur 10 or so years later but think of this letter as a sweet reminder of all the friendships and old memories we cherished as we meet once more and unwind from life for at least a few hours.

you are cordially invited to the night raven college class of xxxx’s garden-themed unofficial reunion on saturday, xx/xx/xxxx from 1:00 pm onwards at the grand wonder ballroom.

it seems vague, does it not? a reunion after 4 years of being away? surely, it’s too early to reunite with old friends, no? despite those thoughts, mai shrugged it off, accepting the invitation anyway as she did want to see her friends back at night raven college. with how hectic her life was, she found no time to go out and chat with any of them.

on the day of the so-called unofficial reunion, mai entered the venue with a beautiful dress befitting a garden theme while suiting her taste in fashion. upon her arrival, she clutched her bag as all the confidence she felt back home washed away once she saw the crowd in the room.

a soft sigh escaped her lips, hoping to relax her rapidly beating heart. her eyes scanned the room, seeing a few people she recognizes. they were all busy mingling with their old friends, sipping on some drink and having a laugh as they reminisced memories and talked about their current life circumstances.

while observing her batchmates, a voice was then heard beside her.

“angelfishie~!”

ah, she knew that nickname all too well. a smile grazed over mai’s lips as she turned around and waved at the energetic leech twin, “hey, floyd! how’s every—eek!”

before she could even get the words out of her mouth, floyd wrapped his arms around the lady and engulfed her in a squeezing tight hug. a series of giggles left his lips as he squeezed the brunette lady, not paying any mind to how she was trying to pry him off her.

“can’t…breathe…!” wheezed mai as she tried to break free from the suffocating grasp.

“my my, floyd, you seem to miss mai-san the most,” teased jade as he let out a soft chuckle, “you ought to lighten your grip.” floyd glanced at his brother as he replied with a slightly disappointed expression, “come onnn~ we haven’t seen each other for 4 years now!”

mai let out a relieved sigh as soon as she felt floyd’s grip loosening a little. patting his arm, she replied, “i missed you guys, too. how’s everything with you both?” with a smile, she conversed with the twins as they shared updates on their lives while mai shared hers in return.

their conversation went smoothly until she heard a familiar voice from behind, “well if it isn’t my dearest pearl.”

pearl. what a familiar nickname.

mai looked back to see azul smiling at her, his attire as formal and neat as always. he looked elegant — far more elegant than how he was back in their school days. paired with his charming smile and suave aura, azul was easily the eye candy of the room, so much so that even mai did not realise her cheeks were tinted with pink.

“azul, hi! it’s been a while,” greeted mai with a smile.

“indeed, it has. i hope things are faring well with you. ...though,” a soft chuckle left azul’s lips, “i’m sure everything is well with you. a talented and kind young lady such as yourself would surely flourish in her life, no?”

mai let out a soft laugh as she replied, “oh, stop with the flattery! haha, but yes… i’ve been doing well. i got a job at a local café while also pursuing higher education!”

azul’s eyes twinkled as if he was amazed and he smiled, “oh? my, i knew you would be doing well. haha, it is very pleasing to know you’re living in a stable condition.” mai smiled in return, thanking the man as they continued to converse with the twins occasionally joining in.

the day was splendid, but mai could not set aside the inkling gut feeling of something going wrong.

was she being paranoid? of course not!

her companions are totally to be trusted.

after the reunion, mai felt like she was on a cloud – drifting away and enjoying life after a relaxing get-together with the people she called her friends. however, that all shattered when she dropped the cup of coffee she was serving and accidentally spilt the hot beverage on a customer.

odd. she was always so composed at work, especially with all the eyes on her.

it was almost as if she was not in control of her actions at that very moment. regardless, she was extremely guilty and felt embarrassed with all the customers watching the commotion now.

“i-i am so sorry!” exclaimed mai as she tried to wipe off the stain on the customer’s shirt, but it was too late as the guest was infuriated and screaming in pain. panic crossed mai’s face as she desperately tried to ease the situation with her co-workers lending her a hand, unaware of the small smirk on a man’s face seated at the far corner of the café.

as if that wasn’t enough, mai received her test results a week after her midterms, but instead of the usual smile and compliments of the professor, she was greeted with a soft sigh and a small frown. “miss bouquet, i am quite surprised with your results. if there is anything you find hard to grasp in our lessons, you can always tell me,” spoke her professor as mai grabbed the test.

her eyes widened the moment she saw her result. what was this?

failed? after working and studying so hard? was she suddenly not doing her best?

mai spent the rest of her night on her bed, looking up at the ceiling as she wondered why things went south in the blink of an eye. with the mistakes she made at work, she knew it wouldn’t be long until the manager fired her. the only hope she clung to was the fact that it did not happen. yet.

she hoped it would not happen, that being fired from her job would just be a mere imagination.

unfortunately for the lady, things did not go her way. she lost her job and was in the process of failing the rest of her classes. the longer she took the time to get back on her feet, the more things went wrong. mai felt hopeless, but she tried to keep her faith. maybe one day, a light of hope would shine down on her, and she’d be able to live in a stable condition again.

weeks turned into months and her situation at her college got even worse. now that she did not have any job, paying her bills has become a challenging task and it wasn’t long until she received an eviction notice from her landlord.

a soft sigh left the lady's lips as she eyed the letter. she only had 2 weeks to pack her things and leave. "great... just what i needed," mumbled mai as it was a more sarcastic response to her recent situation, "what is going on with me...?"

unbeknownst to the lady, a certain man was happy with how things turned out. it was all going according to his plan.

mai started to pack her things, and on other days, she would sit and search for a job to apply to help with her living conditions and her education. so far, she was not facing any success — her job hunt proved to be a difficult challenge as the ones she applied to either never got back to her after screening or cancelled the interviews at the last minute.

one afternoon, mai decided to sit in a café for a change of scenery. it might lift her spirits — at least that's what she says to herself. mai continued to apply to jobs in every online job posting she saw and even reached out to her other friends hoping that she'd find some luck.

while she was scrolling through the job postings, a figure suddenly sat before her, making mai look up as she wondered who would sit at her table as if she wasn't present in the first place. her raised brow turned into a small smile as soon as she realised it was just azul, "oh... i thought you were someone else."

"did i frighten you?" questioned azul.

"not at all. i was just not expecting anyone to sit at an occupied table," replied mai as she kept a small smile on her face. azul chuckled a little as he spoke to her, "do excuse me. i saw you upon entering the café and thought i should accompany you."

he then glanced at his wristwatch as he was about to ask a question he already knew the answer to, "it's an hour past evening. shouldn't you be at work?"

mai sighed softly as she replied, "i lost my job... and i am about to get evicted, too. life isn't really on my side lately." a bitter chuckle left her lips as if to lighten the mood while slightly showing how her circumstances had been affecting her.

"i mean, things got so bad that i even started to flop at college! i failed my exams and my assignments were just showing me a big fat f," ranted the brunette. she had no one to talk to about her problems as she was trying her best to keep herself busy to distract herself from the sadness. so, the moment azul struck a conversation with her as an opening to console her, she took the bait.

azul sat silently with his eyes on her, paying attention to all her rants as if he was not the cause of her problems. of course, she did not need to know that.

nor will she ever find out.

after mai ranted to him, she felt a bit of her burden lifting off her shoulders. she needed to let it out, and now that she did, she was able to breathe a little. that did not solve her problem, of course, but at least someone was willing to listen to her.

"...my pearl, what if i lend you a hand?" spoke azul.

mai went silent for a bit as she raised a brow, "...for a price?"

azul laughed a little and shook his head, "of course not. when have i ever charged you for any help i extended out of my compassion?"

"um... you tried when we were still in nrc."

"ah, but that was so long ago, no? people change, dear," replied azul, "come now, i really want to help you."

mai stayed quiet for a moment, thinking about the offer as she wondered if he was being genuine. though she knows azul might be acting suspiciously, she thought of giving him a chance. after all, they are good friends and mai knew he wouldn't do anything to harm her even more than life already did.

she still tries to find the good in him. despite his ways back then, mai will admit that he is quite generous and helpful.

"...alright," replied mai, "what help are you talking about?"

azul smiled as if he were glad to hear her answer, "i know a library that is currently hiring for an archivist, and i believe you'd be a perfect fit for what they're looking for."

it was as if mai was blinded by a ray of hope.

"wait, seriously?" spoke mai, "please refer me. i'll hand you a copy of my resumé!"

azul hummed in response as they continued with their dealings, and it did not take long until mai received a call a few days after she met with azul. the call came from one of the staff in the library he had mentioned, and after months, she finally scored an actual interview.

mai passed the interview with flying colours. she finally got a job as an archivist in this cosy, yet large library settled a few meters away from her college.

her first day went splendidly. though mai was still a little nervous and paranoid that she'd face some other bad luck, everything was going smoothly, and it had gradually calmed her nerves.

now that she had one problem solved, she had to find a way to pay her rent, or find another place to live in. she only had 3 days left in her eviction period and she had all her things packed, all ready to leave but not knowing where to go.

"...should i?" mumbled mai as she held onto her phone, azul's contact flashing through her screen as she hesitated to call and ask him for help. he did help with the job hunting, but mai hoped it wouldn't be too much to ask for a place to rent.

30 seconds turned into 1 minute, and 1 minute turned into 2 minutes. mai eyed azul's contact number before looking at her clock, then back at her phone, then back at her clock again. "...screw it, i'm calling him."

not even two rings later, azul picked up the phone and spoke with a rather pleased tone, "ah, my pearl. i was not expecting you to call. how may i help?"

'not expecting...? he answered it rather quickly for someone who isn't expecting a phone call...' thought mai before shrugging and speaking to him, "hello, azul... i was wondering if you could help me find a place to rent. since i'm being evicted and all... i only have 3 days left in this apartment."

azul then replied through the phone, "of course! you know, you don't have to bother with renting at all. you can stay at my place."

mai blinked in surprise. she had been financially struggling for a while and being given the option to live rent-free sounded fantastic for her current circumstances, but she was also worried she might make the wrong decision.

"...are you sure? i don't want to bother you," responded mai.

"bother? nonsense! you are always welcome to stay here."

mai did not respond for a bit as she was weighing her options down. it came to the point where she had nowhere to go, and she did not exactly have the finances to pay months' worth of rent if she picked a new place.

"fine."

and that sealed the deal.

mai soon found herself in azul's home. it was quite a lovely two-storey modern house with a garage and other amenities such as a backyard pool, outdoor seating, and a small garden. if mai had to be honest, azul's house was fancy.

"oh... wow, you live here?" spoke mai in disbelief as she gawked at the place.

"mhm, and you are free to live here as much as you like..." replied azul.

mai was able to settle in nicely, and even if she won't admit it, she felt comfortable in azul's home. perhaps a mansion would be better suited to call the young man's home with all the fancy things that are included.

things were going well with mai. azul had been nothing short of generous and hospitable, allowing her to make herself at home. mai felt like her life was getting back on track — she got a job as an archivist, her grades at college were slowly working their way back up again, and she got to live in a large home without having to worry about rent.

luck was smiling down on miss mai bouquet once more.

hearing the words, "you're doing well, mai!", from the librarian lifted her spirits. she was happy once again with how stable her life turned out. perhaps all those hardships she experienced these past few months were merely a challenge, a test, to see if she perseveres.

and persevere she did. her job paid her well, and her education was thriving once more. her professors were proud to see her do well on her tests and assignments, and seeing the "a" on her report card made mai proud.

azul was happy for her. really, he was.

he was always there to celebrate her achievements or comfort her on days when she felt down. he never once left her side or let her deal with her problems by herself. it was as if he wanted to make sure mai never felt alone, and that she was never struggling alone. that she always had him no matter what happened.

mai was grateful. she had a friend who would lend an ear or their shoulder if she needed one. that was all there is to it. a friend helping a friend out, no?

so why is she starting to feel uncomfortable with azul's "friendliness"?

there was never a day azul gets to miss some physical touch with her — whether it's through hand-holding, head patting, or even just a light touch on her shoulder.

at first, mai thought it was nothing, but it had gradually escalated to more than just light touches and friendly pats. he started to wrap an arm around her shoulder when they sat on the couch, or hug her from behind whenever she started to cook something in the kitchen. he would even place an arm on her waist when they walked together in public.

as if that wasn't enough, he had started to dote on her. when azul gets a day off and mai still has to attend to her work, she comes home with food neatly placed on the table while azul sits with a smile, inviting her to have a taste of the food he made.

mai tolerated that for a while. she knew it was just his way of being friendly, and she couldn't exactly tell him off when he was being nice to her. at least, that's what she told herself.

her tolerance was starting to wear thin as days passed. the more affectionate and domestic azul had acted towards her, the more uncomfortable she felt.

she wanted to know why he acted that way towards her. perhaps there was just a little misunderstanding between them and she wanted to make it clear that she was not looking at him in a romantic light.

one night during dinner, mai silently ate her meal with azul on the other end of the table. they were enjoying their meals in silence until mai's voice was heard, "...hey, azul?"

azul glanced up at her as he gulped down his food, "yes?"

"um... why are you being so... affectionate?"

that was it. mai finally asked the question she badly wanted to know the answer to, but instead of a reply, azul merely smiled at her before returning to his meal as if he never heard the question.

mai waited for a reply the whole night, but he wouldn't even acknowledge it, so she decided to ask once more after preparing to retire for the night.

"...you still did not answer my question earlier," spoke mai as she reminded azul of the inquiry. the young man was already in his sleepwear as he was about to head to his bedroom when he heard mai speak.

he stopped in his tracks and turned to face her, "is it bad?"

mai was not expecting that response. she wanted to tell him that she felt uncomfortable, but it was as if all words ceased to exist at that moment... like she could not speak all of a sudden.

azul then walked towards her, leaning down a little to her height as he added, "my pearl, i've been nothing but hospitable and kind to you. oh my, don't tell me you're no longer in need of my help?"

"what...? no, no, that's not what i—"

"is it suddenly so wrong for me to show you some affection? when all i've done is to make sure you get to be with me?"

mai was a little stunned. what did azul mean by that? yes, he helped her, but why was he saying that as if his help came with a price? oh dear, perhaps she should have said no in the first place.

seeing her stunned expression, azul smirked in amusement. he laughed a little as he narrowed his eyes at her, "now that you're here with me, i'll make sure you'll never find your way out again."

the anniversary date of night raven college. as a student of this prestigious academy, you naturally had to celebrate with your fellow students. receiving an invitation from ramshackle, you decided to join them in the festivities.

the staff arrived there first, and even asked grim to cook up some meals for the party. of course, yuu thought they were exempted from this task until grim dragged them to the kitchen. you walked around the previously abandoned dormitory, eyeing the purple, black, white, and muted gold balloons, and the other decorations.

some time has passed and grim came out of the dormitory, wearing a chef outfit with a grin on his face, “done!” yuu, on the other hand, sighed before smiling a little, seemingly a little exhausted from all the cooking. to be fair, only the two of them were cooking up the feast and it isn’t exactly easy with a companion who has paws for hands.

a soft chuckle left your lips as you crossed your arms, “well, well, you seem proud, grim.”

“of course! no task is too hard for the great grim-sama!” exclaimed grim before rushing to the tables with yuu in tow as they placed the cooked meals in a presentable manner. with a smile, the headmaster clapped his hands together as he spoke, “wonderful! this is a great way to develop your culinary skills! aren’t i so kind?”

trein sighed at crowley’s remark while crewel stepped forward as he eyed the dishes, “it’s best not to overwork these two pups from ramshackle, headmaster crowley.”

“this calls for a picture!” spoke sam as he glanced at you with a smile, “little imp, will you kindly take a picture of us?” yuu handed the ghost camera to you as soon as you nodded, bringing the camera up to your face as you aimed it towards the staff members.

“okay! ready…”

they immediately lined up and posed together with grim settled on crowley’s shoulder with a big smile on his face, holding his paws out to put up the number 4, and the rest of the staff did the same.

“happy 4th anniversary!”

after the satisfaction of taking a photo, you handed the camera back to yuu and proceeded to enjoy the rest of the day. it did not take long until the rest of the students came by and you found yourself enjoying a drink by the snacks table. a pair of footsteps suddenly caught your attention as you sipped on your drink before taking a glance at your side, seeing ace and deuce approaching you.

“heya, n/n! why are you standing there all alone? come!” spoke ace as he linked his arm around yours and dragged you to where the rest of the first years stood, “have you tried the food? the fudge brownies taste soooo good!”

the moment you stood before the banquet table, epel nudged your arm and pointed at the dessert section, “i saw some tasty treats over there and yuu told me the one i tasted was called kolaches. you should try it!”

the first years proceed to try and feed you every single food on the banquet table as they munched on their chosen treats. even sebek was asking you to try the green apple cucumber smoothie, while jack asked you to try the creamy macaroni salad.

after miraculously getting away from the first years attempting to overfeed you, you bumped into riddle and immediately apologised, “oh! i’m so sorry, riddle.” he shrugged you off and smiled, “no matter. you seem a little dazed, however.” his revelation made you awkwardly laugh a little, “i kinda snacked a little too much….”

“oh dear, it seems our little angelfish is full from all that snacks.”

riddle sighed as soon as he heard that voice, and you turned around to see azul standing there with a smile, the twins on either side of him as they both also held grins on their faces. it was a slightly chilling sight, but you have grown accustomed to it by this time.

“hello, octavinelle,” you greeted as you smiled at them. “we should go for a walk,” spoke riddle as he held your wrist in an attempt to drag you away from the trio. however, they decided to trail behind the both of you. riddle glanced from behind, realising they were following along.

you, on the other hand, did not really mind.

“f/n~!”

a familiar call of your name caused you to pause in your tracks as you saw ruggie approaching you, “where are you going? shishishi, i thought we were going to start packing food for leftovers.”

“ah, right. we can do that later. the rest of the students are still eating,” you replied, causing ruggie to sulk a little. “what if they end up clearing the banquet?! i’m really looking forward to having the spicy meatballs as tomorrow’s lunch, y’know?” spoke ruggie as he clasped his hands together.

before you could reply back, another voice chirped into your conversation.

“do you want more food? we can always share!”

really, what’s with everyone and interrupting conversations today?

you turned to see kalim and jamil as the former waved at you enthusiastically. riddle’s grip on your wrist loosened a little as he remained standing beside you, while the octavinelle trio remained smiling.

“wait, for real?” questioned ruggie, causing jamil to shake his head only to be interrupted by kalim.

“yeah! the more food the better, right?”

you looked at ruggie with a snicker as you patted his back, “well, you won’t have to worry about tomorrow’s lunch. if there’s any leftovers, we can start packing.” with a smile, ruggie nodded and proceeded to walk around the ramshackle dormitory with you and the rest of the second years in tow.

after your walk with the second years, you got back to sipping on your beverage by the entrance, standing beside the balloons as you eyed the rest of the students enjoying their time. with another sip, you saw grim trying to sneak his paw into deuce’s plate and no one seemed to notice his little food thievery. another sip and you saw jamil staring at the dates with a perplexed expression before it morphed back into a blank one. one more sip and you saw malleus standing beside you.

wait, what?

your heart almost jumped out of your chest at the presence of the diasomnia dormitory leader. it was a good thing your glass did not drop to the grass. malleus seemed to notice your surprise as he smiled and apologised, “oh. my apologies. i did not mean to frighten you.”

once you calmed down a little, you smiled at him, “no worries, i was a little too focused on observing everyone else that i did not notice your approach.” malleus merely hummed in response as he, too, looked at the same group of people you were currently eyeing – the third years.

lilia was having a drink with idia as vil approached the two and proceeded to have a conversation. leona was nearby, holding a plate of honey-glazed meatballs and party franks with rook eyeing him at a distance – well, that was odd. on the other hand, trey was holding a glass of cocktail with cater holding up a selfie stick and taking a picture with him.

“lilia seems to be enjoying his beverage a lot,” remarked malleus as he noticed lilia pouring another glass for himself in the middle of his conversation with idia and vil – or vil, with idia panicking to himself due to the social interaction.

“and rook seems to be sneaking on leona,” you added, causing malleus to take a quick glance at the aforementioned individuals with a snicker. you glanced at him and chuckled, “hey now, it’s not funny.”

“yes, but do you see the way kingscholar avoids hunt’s advances? i find it amusing,” replied malleus. you decided to focus on the two of them and realised leona was purposely trying to lose rook in the crowd, only for the latter to find him again.

you blinked and mumbled, “do you think rook just wants to have a conversation with him?”

malleus stayed silent for a moment, “…a conversation would be the possible choice, but the topic of said conversation may appear to be quite threatening.” you hummed in reply, aware of rook’s antics with non-human students, so it isn’t a surprise if malleus had his own experiences as well.

“my my, it seems the two of you are quite busy with student observations.”

you and malleus were fixated on leona and rook that you did not notice lilia standing beside you with a smile on his face. malleus seemed as if he had expected that, however. you smiled and waved at lilia, “oh, hello.”

“are you enjoying the party, little bat?” asked lilia as he sipped on his tomato juice, which made sense why he refilled his glass over and over again. you nodded, sipping on your own beverage, “quite so. i have tasted every dish that is being served, thanks to the first years.”

a soft laugh left lilia’s lips as he replied, “right! i did see sebek trying to coerce you into drinking the smoothie.”

“i have not seen silver around, though,” you added as you looked around, causing malleus and lilia to glance around the entrance as well. “could he have fallen asleep somewhere?” asked malleus.

“i suppose i know where he is. come,” spoke lilia as he started walking towards ramshackle’s backyard with you and malleus in tow. as soon as you arrived to the backyard, you noticed a figure leaning by the tree, wearing diasomnia’s uniform as a few birds surrounded the said figure.

“there he is!” exclaimed lilia like a parent overjoyed at the sight of his child. you approached the dozing figure as malleus spoke, “i suppose the tree is quite comfortable to rest on.” hearing malleus’ voice made silver flutter his eyes open before he stood up straight, “ah! s-sorry, i did not realise i had fallen asleep…”

“why are you standing here? join the party! there’s lots of snacks you can eat,” spoke lilia as he grabbed silver’s hand. the latter hummed a little before glancing at you, “ah… n/n…” malleus glanced back at the banquet table before looking back at silver, “come, silver. let’s indulge ourselves.”

“yes, malleus-sama,” replied silver as he quickly walked beside malleus, both heading to the table and plating their chosen meals. you and lilia were left by the tree in the backyard, smiling at the sight of everyone enjoying the party with no worries in the world, stuffing themselves and laughing with their friends.

lilia eyed malleus and silver with a relieved smile, “…well, i’m very happy.”

“hm?” you turned your head to look at lilia with a puzzled expression, “oh… well, the atmosphere of this anniversary party is quite light-hearted, it makes me happy too.” lilia merely smiled, his eyes still on malleus and silver picking some food with sebek joining them and pointing at the meals they need to try.

“yes, and… i’m happy they’ve reassured me they can take care of themselves now…” mumbled lilia, causing you to blink as you did not know what he meant or what he was hinting at. nonetheless, you smiled and patted his back as he laughed a little, “happy 4th anniversary to our prestigious academy~!”

silver rummaged through his boxes and cabinets in search of a book. a soft yawn escaped his lips before he shook his head in an attempt to wash the drowsiness away. it irks him that his so-called sleeping curse gets in the way of his daily duties and responsibilities. as he rummaged through his drawers, he happened to stumble upon what seemed to be a photo album.

he does not recall seeing that before. he had no memory of ever owning such an item either.

out of curiosity and pushing the thought of searching for the book aside, he picked up the photo album and opened it. the first picture was of him, sebek, and malleus. he was wearing a party hat with a smile on his face, while malleus smiled at the camera, and sebek had a stern expression.

“okay, pose for the picture, boys!”

lilia’s voice echoed in the living room of the cottage that he and silver lived in. with a big smile on his face, he lifted the camera and took a picture of the three boys. as soon as that was done, the camera proceeded to print out the photo and with great pride, lilia held it.

“what a great photo! i’m getting the hang of this thing,” spoke lilia as silver walked towards his father and looked at the photo. it came out perfectly, just like his father said.

“lilia, let me see,” spoke malleus as he went behind lilia to take a peek at the photo. sebek joined the group as well, looking at it with a bright smile on his face, “malleus-sama looks ravishing! i am honoured to be in the same photo!”

lilia chuckled at sebek’s words as he held onto the photo, “malleus and his two knights, this is a wonderfully dignified picture, if i do say so myself.” he then looked at his son as he smiled, “happy birthday, silver.”

silver turned the page to check the other photos in the album. they were all childhood photos of himself, and they mostly included sebek, malleus, and even lilia in some of the pictures. several photos later, he found a candid picture of malleus holding a tamagotchi, sitting on the couch of the cottage as he held a curious expression.

silver knew that malleus had this device, but he had not known how long it was in his possession. all silver knew it was an item he had constantly seen ever since he was a child.

“lilia, what is this?” asked malleus as he held onto the little device.

lilia, having returned from one of his travels, smiled as he took a seat beside malleus, “it’s a little souvenir i got for you! i’m sure you’ll enjoy it. see that little egg on the screen? you must care for it until he hatches and grows!”

malleus blinked at lilia’s explanation before he started using the tamagotchi. he was getting the hang of it as time passed, and malleus constantly held it when he was in the palace left with nothing to do all alone.

one afternoon, little silver was seated on the chair as he stared at the meal before him. lilia, on the other hand, was busy placing the pots he used back in the cabinet drawers while humming a little tune, not realising that his son was staring at the… purple goo on his plate. was it supposed to be like that?

the comforting atmosphere was suddenly cut through by a loud knock on the door. lilia quickly opened it to see malleus with a worried expression on his face as he cried out, “lilia! i woke up and drakon-kun’s gone. i only see an egg. what do i do?!”

lilia’s expression was shocked for a moment before it morphed into one of laughter. malleus, thoroughly confused, blinked his eyes at his guardian laughing right after he voiced out his panic, “why are you laughing?”

“haha! oh, malleus, you made me think there was some sort of emergency with you showing up to my doorstep with that look on your face. come, come inside,” spoke lilia as he pulled malleus into the cottage and looked at the little virtual pet – currently an egg – on his palm.

silver continued to turn the pages until a knock came through his door, making him pause his current activity and look up. sebek quickly opened the door as he spoke, “silver! have you fallen asleep?!”

he then realised silver was sitting on the floor by his bed with a photo album in hand, “what are you doing? this is no time to slack off! have you found the book yet?”

the book! yes! silver completely forgot about that for a second. he stood up and replied, “no, not yet. i was going through my drawers when i found this.” the diasomnia first year approached silver and took a look at the photo album, “hm? it has all our photos. i never took you the type to keep pictures like this.”

“that isn’t mine… i just found it in my drawer. maybe it belongs to father,” responded silver.

sebek hummed as he went through the photos as well, “we should return it to lilia-sama. come! never mind the book!”

✦ you were grateful with how epel compliments you, but you felt as if calling you a genie is a stretch. sure, you grant wishes, but you’re not as powerful as genie, no? at least, that’s what you think.

✦ ortho, on the other hand, has known of your unique magic before you revealed it to the rest of the group. he had everything analysed and statistics of your power were already read by him.

✦ “f/n l/n-san, your magical abilities are extraordinary! granting wishes in exchange for three requests puts you at an advantage. ah… but i don’t understand why deuce spade-san says it’s almost like azul ashengrotto-san’s unique magic…” spoke ortho as he conversed with you.

✦ “oh, pay it no mind, child,” you replied, “i guess it might seem like azul’s magic on the surface since we are both the ‘wish granting’ types.”

✦ lastly, sebek does not acknowledge it too much. yes, he knows you grant wishes, but it’s not like it’s something he needs to take note of. he has no use in having you grant him a wish when he can just work twice as hard to achieve what he wants.

✦ he doesn’t know how to properly compliment you either, but he thinks it’s impressive at the very least.

✦ but of course, nothing tops the power of his master.

✦ and grim? he tries to use it to his advantage. he would constantly pester you, even when you are in your dormitory, asking for a wish of thousands of tuna cans, grilled meat, salmon, and whatnot. his wishes were never-ending.

✦ every time you give him 3 requests, he ends up not doing them in the specified time frame you have set, causing him to get a string of bad luck for a week straight. the poor monster with a bottomless pit was very furious that week.

perfect. that was how people described you. a sweet, young lady with a bright smile and a bright mind. a lot of the students in night raven college liked you for your charming personality, and there was barely any student that had a bad experience with you.

perfect. you were the epitome of perfect. a beautiful young lady with a sweet smile, a charming personality, and a bright mind. who would not want to befriend you? some students even talked about you to their peers and their parents. now, it wasn’t always painted in a good light. some have been jealous of you, and some wished you did not exist at all. it makes them look bad, you know?

of course, riddle was one of those people. he greatly admired you for your dedication and hard work, and he takes great pride in having you as a heartslabyul resident. you were the perfect, ideal example of what heartslabyul students should be. you followed all the rules to a t, memorized every one of them, and never questioned or disobeyed the rules that may seem too extreme or ridiculous.

“ah, f/n,” spoke riddle as soon as he saw you in the library, a smile ghosting over his lips. his voice reached your ears as you looked up from your book and smiled at him, “oh… hello, dormitory leader rosehearts!”

that sweet smile.

riddle did not realise his cheeks were tinted pink as he remained smiling at you. he then walked away, not knowing what else to say or how to keep the conversation going. oh, how he wished he could befriend you. he was stuck in this student-to-student relationship with you, and he did not know how to deepen it.

it was going well, at least, that’s what he thought. he made sure he could interact with you at least once a day, to get the both of you used to each other’s presence. he also decided to join you at your table during lunch, eating with you without the need for a conversation. it did not take long until your relationship went deeper than the shallow interactions.

“by the way, riddle… why is your favourite food strawberry tarts?” you asked as you nibbled on a tart that he shared with you. as riddle took a bite of his own, he replied, “it’s sweet and rich with flavours. i rarely ever get to taste it when i was younger, but the one time i did felt like heaven was in my mouth…”

there was a small smile on your face as you listened to riddle. you knew what his household was like. you were there during the overblot incident, after all. “i mean, my mother did get angry at me for eating that… she told me it was too sugary and it’s poisonous for my health…”

unconsciously, your hand went up to his cheek as you caressed it for comfort. riddle also froze as soon as he felt the affection before glancing at you. you realised what you had done and quickly retracted your hand with a blush, “ah— sorry, sorry. i thought you needed some comfort.”

with you around, riddle always felt like he could continue to hold on and move forward. seeing your bright smile energizes him for the day, and seeing your name at the top of the achiever's list always brings a sense of pride from within.

“congratulations, f/n,” spoke riddle as soon as he saw you standing by the bulletin board. you had a blank expression on your face before smiling as soon as you heard his voice, “oh, thanks! congratulations to you, too.”

‘why do you look sad?’, thought riddle to himself as he noticed your blank expression before acknowledging him. were you not happy with what you got? but you received a 499 out of 500, surely, it’s worth a smile or two, no?

he decided to brush it off a little since you had already walked away, but it was in the back of his mind for a few days now. why did you seem bothered? he knew the importance of getting a perfect score, his mother reiterated that several times.

he did not speak much of it, but he did notice you getting a little distant, even if you are physically beside him. your mind seemed to be in another place every time he tried to discuss something with you. it was clear that something was wrong.

but he did not know how to approach the problem.

riddle tried accompanying you during study sessions, gifting you treats, sharing his tarts with you over lunch, doing mind exercises with you, and many other things. however, they only seemed to fix the problem temporarily.

exam season was around the corner once more, and everyone has been busying themselves with studying. riddle had spent his time studying, but of course, he did not neglect his duties as the dormitory head. as soon as the clock struck 3 in the afternoon, it was time for his patrol around the dorm. he had to make sure all his residents were disciplined and studying.

with one room into the next, he discovered all of them busying themselves with reading and discussing certain sections of their books with their roommates. ‘good work,’ thought riddle to himself as he saw his residents studying. he just hoped ace and deuce were doing the same.

as soon as he reached your room, he knocked on the door before twisting the knob and peeking in. he thought he would see you silently seated on your study table, reading through a book, or taking notes. however, he discovered you seated on the floor, a book on your lap as you wrote in your notebook, surrounded by several copies of papers and books.

you were in a clear state of disarray. your hair was a mess as you checked every paper before writing something down in the notebook. the process continued as you mumbled under your breath, “no, this is not right… the answer isn’t hydrolysis…”

a sigh escaped your lips as you buried your head into your palms, your hair covered your devastated expression as riddle silently walked into your room and knelt beside you, picking up all the scattered notes as you sniffled and glanced at him, “riddle…?”

you did not expect to see him in your room, and you quickly wiped your cheeks as you picked up the remaining scattered papers. riddle held the notes he collected and looked at you, seeing your cheeks, eyes, and the tip of your nose being tinted with a little bit of red from all the crying.

you were having a breakdown. he knew that much. he now noticed why you seemed absentminded and distant lately, especially with the exam season coming up. you were drowning yourself in your studies, making sure you memorized and remembered every single fact taught to you.

“…sorry you had to see me like this…” you mumbled as you grabbed the notes from him. he quickly shook his head as he spoke, “no… you don’t have to apologise. how long have you been cooped up in here?”

“i’ve been here all weekend…” you replied. you’ve been in your room, studying for two days straight without paying much attention to your other needs, and it was evident with the bags under your eyes. he hoped you were at least eating, but as he looked around your room, there were a few wrappers from the snacks you ate and an empty water bottle.

a sigh escaped riddle’s lips as he held his hand out to you, “you’re a mess. you need to eat… come.” you shook your head, which caused riddle to raise a brow, “f/n, all you’ve eaten were convenience meals with no proper nutrition whatsoever. don’t be stubborn and—”

“i don’t care!”

riddle fell silent in shock. did you just… yell?

you looked up at him, your eyes held glossy tears as you spoke, “i don’t care even if i starve for days! they’re worth nothing if i fail… this is our finals, and it will determine just how much i’m worth…” a soft sob escaped your lips as you bowed your head to hide your tears, “it will… determine how much my parents love me…”

riddle was silent. so, this is what hides behind the perfect f/n l/n. behind that sweet smile, charming personality, and bright mind was a little girl who never had the chance to be a child, to experience what it’s like to have fun, and to know what it’s like to have no expectations to live up to.

how lonely you must have felt.

“who cares if i’m physically well when i make a single mistake on the test? my mother cursed me through the phone as soon as she saw my results…” you mumbled, venting out everything that had happened the past few days, “i’m nothing but a useless brat who wastes their money in a prestigious school… i don’t deserve to be here if i can’t even get full marks to show that i’m learning something…”

riddle knew what it was like to have a parent who seeks perfection in their child, and it was only lately when he realised it was an unhealthy way of living, drowning yourself in your studies to ensure future success to the point you’d neglect yourself. he got closer to you, holding your shoulder as you wiped your tears, “if i fail the finals, they won’t let me continue my education…”

he was stunned. sure, a punishment is given when one does not receive the desired results on a test. that was his norm, too, but completely discontinuing your education because of 1 mistake or 2 on a test is extreme.

“what…? your parents would go that far…?” questioned riddle. you merely nodded in response as you wiped your tears and hugged your knees to your chest, “…everything feels like a chore…” riddle was left frozen, he did not know what to say or do as he never received appropriate support growing up.

he understands your pains, but he doesn’t know how to comfort you. he can’t lie and say it would be better because he knows that won’t do anything.

you have been showing the brightest smile he’s ever seen all the time, but who knew you were breaking piece by piece? all because of the expectations set on you. all because you were the gifted child of your parents, and therefore, you must live up to be the best of the best.

“sometimes i think… i should just stop… maybe if i fail several times, then they’ll leave me alone… but that also means i won’t receive their love and praises… and i won’t be their favourite daughter anymore…”

riddle stayed silent as he sat on the floor beside you, listening to you vent out all that had been stuck in your mind.

“but… sometimes i also think… if i ruin myself too much and fail… i’m worth nothing… who would love a worthless person? then i’ll be destined to be alone…” you cried softly as you kept hugging your knees to your chest, “i’m tired of thinking about this… i’m tired of caring so much… i’m tired of hearing all the curses that come out of my mother’s mouth… i’m tired of repeatedly being told that i am useless…”

the room then fell silent, and only your soft sobs broke the ice as riddle gently placed his hand on your hair. “…you’re not useless just because you got one or two questions wrong in a test…” mumbled riddle as you peeked at him with your face buried into your arms, “and… you’re not worthless. you don’t need to be perfect to be loved… you just need to be yourself.”

as you remained to look at him, you sniffled softly and wiped your tears, “…but…” riddle gave you a small smile, “i know what it feels like to know that everything we learned growing up and the things we are exposed to is wrong… you’ve been told that anything less than perfect is unacceptable, and i was taught the same thing…”

a soft sigh left his lips as he placed a hand on your cheek, the same way you did to him when he spoke of his reason for loving a sweet treat, “you were there when the incident happened, and i have learned my mistakes… now i am here to tell you that you are worth it. you’re not a financial burden, you’re not useless, you’re not stupid, you are none of that, f/n. i wish you could see yourself the way i see you… then you’ll understand why i always want to be around you…”

you were speechless. what could you possibly say in response to that? if you didn’t know any better, it felt like a confession disguised as comforting words. receiving no verbal response, riddle got a little embarrassed as he avoided your gaze, “… i said too much. i apologise—”

“no…”

riddle blinked before he glanced back at you, seeing you smile a little at him, “…i appreciate your words… thank you…” seeing that sweet smile, even if it was a small one, made riddle smile as well, “you don’t need to thank me… now, you need to have your lunch.” he stood up and held his hand out to you.

you held his hand and stood up, smiling at him as you were about to wipe any remaining tearstains on your face when his hand gently rested on your cheek, wiping it as he spoke, “i don’t want to see you neglecting yourself next time.”

↪ 1 fandom = 3 categories, so $ 3 x 3 categories for one fandom = $ 9 ; 2 fandoms = 6 categories, so $ 3 x 6 categories for two fandoms = $ 18 ; 3 fandoms = 9 categories, so $ 3 x 9 categories for three fandoms = $ 27 ↪ if you add another category (for example, you purchase both platonic and romantic matches instead of just one of the two), an additional charge of $ 3 will be added to your total.

— commission details are sent by filling out this form.

‣ for systemised and organised purposes, you may fill out this form to indicate all the details of your commission. this is only for sending out the details, any other relevant topics shall be discussed through various channels. you can reach out to me through tumblr's dm system, instagram, and email.

— payments can be made through paypal, buy me a coffee or ko-fi.

‣ this is my first time opening commissions, so i confess that i do not know how the payment methods work as i do not use paypal as one of my daily payment methods. i have set everything to a default, so the payment currency is in USD $, only because SAR is not an option in the currency list. (update: 03/13/2024) i discovered that paypal's fees are quite huge here in my place, so i opted to try buy me a coffee instead. ko-fi is still available only if you can't send it through buy me a coffee. links to both sites are at the bottom of this post. (update: 04/19/2024) i am having issues with my payout on buy me a coffee so i am unlinking it first!

— payment options are flexible.

‣ my payment options are entirely flexible. you may pay upfront at the moment of sending the commission request, you may pay half during the requesting period and the other half once the commission is done, or you can pay the full amount once the commission is done. if you decide to pay the full amount once the commission is done, you will need to send the payment before i post or send the commission.

— once payment is made, you cannot cancel or withdraw from our agreement. alternatively, once i have already started working on your commission halfway through, you cannot back out at the last minute.

‣ since my payment options are flexible, the way you pay me is entirely your choice, and i have naturally given you enough time to ponder whether you are sure about this commission or not. once you have sent a payment, whether it is half or full, you cannot cancel or withdraw from our agreement or ask for a refund.

‣ additionally, even if you opted for a flexible payment, you cannot withdraw or cancel once i have started halfway through your commission or once i am finished. i don't want to experience completing a commission only for the requester to back out at the last minute again. it takes me 2 to 7 days to complete a commission, so please keep that in mind.

— suggestive content is fine, but no nsfw.

‣ i am 20, but i want to keep this blog open to all ages. i can write suggestive themes and whatnot, but i do not know how to write pure nsfw, so i will not include that in my content.

— reposting is okay as long as you link it back to me.

‣ you can repost the commissions since you did pay for it, after all. however, i would appreciate if you tag me in it.

— commissions are posted on tumblr publicly unless requested to be posted on another platform or privately.

‣ all commissions are automatically posted on tumblr. however, if you wish to post it on another platform, i can do so. you also have the option to have the commission publicly or privately. publicly would mean i will be posting it on tumblr or another platform, and privately would mean i will send it to you via our direct messaging platform as a pdf file, or google drive link, etc.

— writing rules —

all the writing rules listed in the original rules list still apply. those listed below are just additional rules used for commissions.

— detailed.

‣ detailed commission requests allow me to finish it faster. however, you can still be a bit vague, but it might take a while for me to complete it as i still have to think of a perfect way to do the commission to your liking.

— reader-insert by default, ocs are fine.

‣ this blog has been known to be a twst reader-insert fic provider, so it is highly appreciated to request a reader-insert to allow everyone to indulge themselves in the story. however, you can still request for an oc, especially if you want the commission to be sent privately.

— child characters are naturally strictly not allowed for anything romance-related.

‣ though you may know this by now, i will reiterate again. child characters (ortho, gidel, etc.) are strictly not allowed to be included in romance genres (story or matchup-wise).

— no limits.

‣ though the original rules list states that there is a dormitory and character limit, there is no limit when it comes to commissions. you may request as many characters and as many dormitories as you want, but do keep in mind that the word count and the pricing will be affected.

— matchup bundle rules —

all the matchup rules listed in the original rules list still apply. those listed below are just additional rules used for commissions.

— specify the nature of the relationship.

‣ although the form already establishes the question of whether you want a platonic, romantic, or both of the matches, this is a reminder to not forget to specify. if you don't, i will automatically do romantic as that is the default of my matchup requests.

— child characters are not an option.

‣ this is already a widely known fact, but child characters (ortho, bailu, qiqi, etc.) are not an option in the results and possible matches.

— state the fandom.

‣ the form has already established the question of which fandom you want to be matched in. you have the option to choose one, two, or all three, but do keep in mind that it affects the pricing.
