The orange peel theory being the theory in which someone requests their significant other to peel an orange for them. If they say yes, then it means they are willing to do small tasks for their lover. If they say no, it may suggest they are less willing to offer support.

If you can’t then that’s good I just wanted to ask.

Azul Ashengrotto:

Azul sighed, looking at the orange in your hand and then back to you with raised eyebrows. Were you serious? You couldn’t peel your own orange? He let out another sigh, mumbling that you were truly hopeless without him before taking the orange from your hands. He removed his gloves (as cleaning them was more of a hassle than cleaning his bare hands) and expertly peeled away the skin, giving a beautiful presentation on your plate before sliding it back over to you. He quickly went back to his work but you did note that he completely stopped what he was doing in the middle of it to attend to your silly request.

Idia Shroud:

In the middle of a raid?! These relationship QTE’s continued to get harder the longer you were together, but he feared the consequences of failing one. He quickly typed in the chat to his teammates before setting his character on auto, fumbling with the orange and trying to peel it as quickly as he could while making sure he didn’t go down in flames in the virtual world. He handed it back to you wordlessly when he was done as he was locked back in again, letting out an agonized cry when he realized he forgot to wipe his hands so now his keyboard and mouse were hopelessly sticky.

Leona Kingscholar:

There’s something that Leona picked up in your tone that indicated this was a test of some sort, and while not knowing exactly what you were up to, he wasn’t about to fail. He did complain that you married into royalty and therefore had access to some of the perks, including servants who’d be more than happy to peel an orange for you. He was peeling it for you as he complained at least, and he retracted the orange before you could grab it and asked if he’d get a proper reward for listening so closely.  

Malleus Draconia:

Malleus it not used to being asked to do such domestic tasks. It seemed natural that everyone around him just attended to his needs and, by extension, your needs as well. Seeing as you were asking him directly to do something for you he couldn’t help but be excited about the prospect, feeling a sense of pride that you’d trust in him even if it was a simple task. He peeled the orange with a smile on his face, peeling off a piece of the actual fruit and holding it up as he asked if you’d like him to feed you as well.

Vil Schoenheit:

Vil was curious about what you were doing that was so important you couldn’t peel your own orange, weighing the options of asking and deciding it’s easier to just acquiesce. You didn’t ask him for things often while you often wordlessly retrieved things for him during his intricate skincare routines, so he didn’t see the harm in repaying your kindness. He’s also happy that you’re eating something healthy, although he doesn’t know the exact benefits oranges might have on your skin—he’ll have to look it up once he’s done his careful work, handing over the most beautifully peeled orange you’d ever seen in your life.

Idia Shroud:

Horrible situation. Idia hated this trope. That’s not entirely true, watching the MC feel conflicted about fighting their love interest actually added a bit of interest into a story, but reality wasn’t the same. Idia didn’t feel anything ‘fun’ about this situation. Ortho was ready to take you down in an instant but Idia had stopped him, worried about him going overboard and potentially hurting you more than he needed to. He had already started to formulate a plan to overcome the brainwashing to at least subdue you, the only issue is mustering the courage to potentially hurt you himself during the process.

Idia has to tell you about how annoying that situation was after. He started ranting about games that just fell back on popular tropes for the sake of torturing their characters but eventually sighed, saying he had enough for an evening. He didn’t want to leave your side as much as he did want to disappear back into his room, wondering if there was a way to have you just stay in his room with him while you recovered.

Jamil Viper:

Jamil is tired of his bad luck, tired of the only things that brought him joy being taken away from him and then thrown back in his face like it was no big deal. His surprise is clear and for a moment he does think he’s pushed you away too much, that you truly were sick of dealing with someone who would never be able to go after what he wanted. It’s your choice of using magic against him rather than your words (which would cut deeper than any physical wound to him) that showed him there was something more going on, with you being a puppet on strings for some other being. He wondered if his unique magic might steal you away from them but it would be a shot in the dark, since you were aware of his ability (while the ‘you’ in this brainwashed state might not be).

Jamil is frazzled but relieved the situation is over. Looking out for both you AND Kalim was an exhausting feat, and he didn’t know why he added to his never-ending workload. He’s glad you’re back to your normal self, which still seemed to regard him in a positive light, allowing him to push down his worries for the future of your relationship a little bit longer.

Leona Kingscholar:

There’s no one who knew your weaknesses better than Leona but he couldn’t assume this would be a walk in the park. He didn’t intend to hurt you but he’d do what he had to for the sake of this situation ending sooner rather than later. Apologies could always be given after but there’s only so much he could take, seeing you like this, invisible strings attached to your limbs as you’re forced to turn against him. If he had been quicker he would’ve saved you from the invasive feeling of having your body controlled while your consciousness is present, and he forced himself to focus on the task at hand rather than the hell you might be living in as it would only make him angrier.  

Leona didn’t want to talk about it when you were back tomorrow. He hit you with an ‘it is what it is’ and moved on to your wounds, minor as they were there was still some scrapes you couldn’t get away from. You didn’t blame him and he didn’t blame himself, but he’s still not happy about having you turned against him. You were his, after all, and losing your loyalty even temporarily dealt a blow to his ego that he was desperate to keep hidden.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Riddle is alarmed at how quickly the situation escalated, flinching when his words don’t seem to be reaching you. He’s not used to being on the other side of you in a fight, even if you were to practice magic with him it was never with ill intent. He finds himself fighting against being distracted, trying to think of you as a simple misbehaving student who needed to be collared. His unique magic did make it a little easier to wrangle you in but he’s wracked with guilt cutting you off from your magic when it’s not really your own actions that caused you to be punished.

Riddle is wary about talking with you after, until he knows the brainwashing is gone and you’re back to normal. He shuffled around the actual topic he wanted to bring up which was incredibly unlike him, a fact you pointed out before telling him in the kindest words possible to spit it out. He admitted seeing you brainwashed was disconcerted, and that he’d rather never see you as an enemy again. He knew it wasn’t your choice but he’d prefer you stick close to him in the future, just so he could stop the problem before it even began.

Jamil Viper:

Jamil definitely finds it annoying at first. He needs his jersey for games and sometimes practices, depending on the mood the coach is in, so when it’s missing and he has to hunt you down to get it back it can be a hassle. He doesn’t really understand why you wear the jersey with such pride but it’s likely because he’s always waiting for the other shoe to drop, to see what horrible things people might say to you about him so that you’ll no longer be happy wearing his name on your back.

He gets more used to the idea when he hears his teammates jealous mumbles. He didn’t expect this to be the reason the others side-eye him but he thinks it’s funny that they’re jealous over something that’s purely his. He can feel their jealous stares when you’re together, his jersey presented proudly as you thread your fingers with his. He’s never liked public displays of affection but he can’t help but indulge in this one little thing, because it makes him feel far more special than he ever had before.

Jade/Floyd Leech:

There is truly nothing stupider that a person could do. You’re not generally the target of harassment because people know who you are, the beloved younger sibling of the Leech twins, always under their watchful eye. The only one with permission to terrorize you (in the way that all siblings torture each other) is the two of them, and to have you pestered by an outside party, looking at you like you were some kind of delicious treat, left both of them irritated. The ways they went about protecting you were far different, as Jade never made a big splash, his impact generally behind the scenes where he can safely observe his work. Floyd, however, will speak up in the moment, looming over the offending party with a pointed frown, asking who they thought they were talking to. Both methods are notably affective.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Riddle had never given you special treatment, and being raised in the family that you had been, you didn’t expect it. As two siblings who lived a frustrating experience, you were close, and Riddle was surprisingly observant when it came to your studies or activities in school. If he knew someone was bothering you than he was likely to interfere as he would for any of his own people, direct with expressing your lack of interest since the person didn’t seem to want to listen to words straight from your own mouth. He’s irritated at the lack of respect as well but overall, there’s a lesson that must be taught about messing with the youngest of the Rosehearts family.

Ruggie Bucchi:

Ruggie’s general advice was keep your head low and attach yourself to the strongest person you could, but he supposed he had to enact some big brother duties every now and again. He’s not the type to throw himself into the line of danger but there’s a certain amount of mischief he enjoyed causing, and his unique magic made for quite a bit of fun with the people who continued to harass you. Embarrassment was generally enough to deter other students from continuously bothering you and Ruggie didn’t tell you about his interference, preferring it be kept secret that he kept a closer eye on you that what you might assume.

Sup, can i ask for a request headcanons for Idia with an S/O who's similar to Meg from Hercules? Basically free-spirited, independent, quick-witted, and snarky, who would do everything for her lovely boyfriend even going as far as to protect him from any bullies and such.

Idia Shroud:

You are mildly intimidating to him. While your personality is one he finds attractive, he still can’t help but pause when he thinks about talking to you or interacting in any way that might have your full attention on him. He has seen the carnage from your snark, the way you could make even the most confident man crumble if they proved themselves a fool, and he doesn’t want Ortho to have to scoop up his remains if he failed his charisma check.

Now after you’re together is a different story. He’s still in awe of your quick-witted abilities but even moreso when it’s used to protect him. He won’t claim he needed the protecting, or that most people even bothered him as he knew he was far smarter than they could ever dream of being, but it was satisfying to see them get humbled so quickly. It does stress him out when it draws even more attention to the conversation, especially if it escalates beyond a few snarky remarks tossed back and forth, and he’s quick to pull you away before things go too far.

Whenever he thinks about you he feels like he’s head over heels, even after dating for a day. It’s like working through all the side routes in an otome game to finally reach the main love interest, the true end, the place the story had been leading to all along. He had waited for you for a long time, and gone through many heart-wrenching moments, but it finally felt like his life was coming together exactly the way it should.

Heeeeeyyy so I've been reading some of the s/o HCs you've done. And I adore the domestic ones for Savanaclaw,especially Jack. Getting right to the point,and I hope this isn't weird in any way,I've been thinking about Jack and s/o (many years after their NRC days of course) having twin boys but one is a little bit small? I wouldn't want to use the word runty but simply,smaller than other wolf beastmen usually are. Just something sweet,something nice,even with that difference that is his kid and he knows he can accomplish just as much as any other kid

Jack Howl:

Jack had learned this lesson from Vil long ago, and likely in other parts of his life. Just because someone had a pretty exterior didn’t mean they lacked in toughness, and he felt the same about the size of his son. He had never treated them differently from the day his twins were born, playing rough with both of them, getting them involved in family activities (with proper safety precautions), never letting his son feel like he wasn’t part of the pack.

He can’t say he doesn’t worry about how others will think of him, but he hoped he could instill the lesson that others’ opinions don’t matter. He had never been one to go with the crowd and he remained as honest as he could, hoping to instill these lessons in his children but especially his son who might not visually meet the standards of other wolf beastmen.

If his son were to bring this to his attention, perhaps lamenting his size and wishing he was an actual mirror of his twin, Jack would be at a loss. Despite being slightly more in touch with his emotions he still struggled to think of a way to show his son that he was fine the way he was, that he was achieving the same things as others and that a size difference had never been holding him back. He did try to point out the things he had achieved on his own, the wins he’d gotten, adamant that he had never ‘let’ either of his sons have an easy win over him.

Ace Trappola:

Ace has to ask what you’re doing. He doesn’t even care that much if you’re alone and you do it, but there’s an intimacy that comes with laying your head on his lap that made him itchy. You have to admire the red shine to his cheeks that are reminiscent of his eyes, his gaze averted from yours when you sleepily asked if he minded what you were doing. Around others he gets much more tense but it’s almost like a badge of honor to have you choose his lap, meaning he can’t help but get a little smug about it.

Floyd Leech:

If it’s something you can do to him without warning then it’ll be fair game to Floyd, and he’ll absolutely be using your lap as a pillow right in the middle of class much to your embarrassment. But he surprisingly allowed you to ‘use’ him, at least for a little while before he gets antsy or bored and followed his impulse to wake you up to entertain him. He doesn’t tend to sit still for just about anyone so it’s an honor that he didn’t just push you off his lap onto the cold hard ground.

Rook Hunt:

Rook has a smile on his face like he’s the rat that got the cheese, patting his surprisingly muscular thighs and welcoming you to use them to rest. They’re comfier than you might think and while Rook offering something up specifically might give you reason to pause, you don’t think there’s maliciousness behind his intent. He seemed too happy, commenting that it was like a cutaway scene in a movie, where the not-yet couple are just starting to indulge in their feelings for each other.

Trey Clover:

Trey tried to keep a straight face, jokingly asking if you’d like him to feed you grapes (or something sweeter, considering who he was). Your bold behavior always did a number on him and this felt like the icing on the cake, a blatant show of affection that you wouldn’t simply do to others. He remembered a compliment you gave him once, that you really felt like you could rest your shoulders when you were with him; he had wanted to scold you not to let your guard down even around someone like him, but he found the trust flattering enough he didn’t want to tease you too much.

can I request hcs for Jack telling his family that his s/o is male after only vaguely telling them about his s/o? maybe during an NRC family day or something like that.

Jack Howl:

You could tell there was something on his mind no matter how much he brushed you off. While you and Jack had been working on honest communication with your relationship, he still struggled with more difficult topics that he thought might hurt you. It wasn’t as if you were a total unknown to his family, he had never been good at lying and even if he was good at it his mother would tear through it so quickly he’d be left with his tail between his legs begging for her forgiveness.

When you do finally get it out of him you feel a little bit of nerves, but you think it’s because of his own anxieties. You’re not used to seeing Jack look unsure of what might happen, but he reassured you that it wasn’t as though he regretted your relationship. He wouldn’t have agreed to date you if he thought you weren’t his perfect match, again bringing up the topic of mating for life that had occurred in his family for generations. He didn’t feel like he made the wrong choice and, when he thought about it, same gender relationships were not unusual among beastmen.

Jack feels like a fool, not for the first time, when he does finally introduce you to his parents. Neither one missed a beat when they greet you, able to tell from the various conversations they had with their son that you were the one he had picked as his mate. They’re friendly, even friendlier than he was to you at first, which made his father chuckle as it reminded him of his own youth where he played it cool so as to not scare off Jack’s mother. With a sigh and a smile she patted your shoulder, telling you that patience is key when dealing with hard-headed men.

This is something Jade would consider an interesting situation, especially depending on your personality type. If you were the confrontational type he’d have to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the show with some popcorn, watching with amusement as you ripped them a new one and clapping at your interesting use of words that weren’t normally strung together. If you were the quieter type he’d gladly be the threat, his insulting responses smooth and threatening at the same time; the energy he gives off is already intimidating but he seemed to grow even taller when he went into his ‘bodyguard’ mode, the pointed smile never leaving his face as he assured the catcallers would turn tail the next time they saw you.

Leona Kingscholar:

Leona takes a moment, glancing at you from the corner of his eye to see if you’re making a move to tell the person off or not. He’ll go based off who you are as a person, whether you could handle a confrontation yourself or if he knew you liked it best when he defended you. Either way, words are going to be exchanged, and they won’t be kind. He’s rather direct with his judgments, accurate too, by the looks on the other parties face, as he demanded they give a proper apology. Leona’s almost begging for an actual fight to break out, the smirk on his face making it apparent that the consequences of their actions were going to be suffered sooner rather than later.

Sebek Zigvolt:

Sebek is naturally protective and reactive, his glare intense when he locked eyes with the catcaller. He didn’t understand the purpose of shouting out inappropriate comments at a person who was clearly on his arm, feeling that the disrespect was clearly aimed at you both. While he might take an insult towards him on the nose (he wouldn’t), he couldn’t take them speaking to you like this lightly. The confrontations could get intense depending on how easily you can convince Sebek to just move on, but his booming voice and intensity was generally more than enough to send basic catcallers running for cover before they faced his wrath.

Vil Schoenheit:

Vil is used to getting catcalled himself, so it’s not unusual that a stunning couple like yourselves would draw a lot of attention. He had learned to deal with unwanted attention with elegance, not regarding the catcallers or giving them the time of day as once they didn’t get attention, most would go back to their business. He had talked to you about this method before as it was not to waste time on strangers who didn’t have a basic ounce of respect, but you can tell there’s some irritation in his face when it’s you who’s suffering from the catcalling. He pulled you a little closer to him, a reassurance that there was no danger posed, and it was hard not to be distracted when you could smell the subtle perfume he’d sprayed on his neck that day.

Deuce noticed how exhausted you had been in class the past week but bit his tongue for a few days, believing you were a person who knew your limits and that you wouldn’t push yourself beyond your capabilities. When he discovered that you were actually on the brink of passing out during a test is when he has to draw the line, telling you with a deep concern in his eyes that he wants to be someone you can rely on when you’re in trouble. His first thought when grades are mentioned is Riddle, though he doesn’t know if that would be much better for your stress – he promised to talk to his dorm leader about it, as long as you promised to rest. He felt guilty that he didn’t see this harmful behavior to yourself earlier, making a second promise to keep an eye on you and bear some of your burdens so you wouldn’t have to do so alone.

Silver:

Silver has always been the type to have a more direct line of confrontation. When he asked you why you were pushing yourself so much his brows furrowed in concern, understanding why you wanted to keep your grades high but not agreeing with your methods. The logical thing to think of was that your illness was making it harder for you to learn and get good grades, and that you’re simply pushing yourself to fail anyway. He puts his words in a much kinder light but the advice behind them is clear: you need to rest or else your grades will continue to suffer. He promised to help you with any subject you might have troubles with, and if it wasn’t something he specialized in, he would seek out help to assure you weren’t going to overwork yourself again.

You always did this to Idia when you wanted to see how quickly his hair could turn pink, eyes lighting up when your words acted as a critical hit and sent him spiraling immediately. He always tried to hide from you when you purposely pulled these reactions from him, cursing you for how high your charisma stat was as it seemed to break through his high defense stat no matter what he was equipped with. It made him want to curl up, maybe scream into his pillow, but that felt too anime school girl and he knew his whole head would turn pink in utter embarrassment if he did something like that in front of you.

Malleus Draconia:

This was something Malleus already knew, yet it ignited the fire in the pit of his stomach that sent bats fluttering about in a nervous whirlwind inside him. He’d lean in with a grin of his own, bright eyes meeting yours as he asked if you were brave enough to say it a little louder, again and again until he tired of hearing it. He never would, of course, enchanting an earring that would hold your voice in it forever, whispering sweet nothings in his ear long after you passed.

Riddle Rosehearts:

Riddle had hardly survived your confession the first time around, it brings back one of the happiest memories of his life even if you were teasing him. His cheeks are a rosy red that you thought looked wonderful on him, leaning against him and asking if he’d ever get used to your affection. He mumbled that it wasn’t a matter of getting used to it, but the joy it gave him to be loved unconditionally by you overtook his senses each time you reminded him you were dating. He doesn’t know how anyone could stand to be a in relationship with someone who didn’t give them butterflies every time they were close, but he knew he wouldn’t have to worry about that in his own love life.

Silver:

Silver is puzzled at the confession, head tilted as he tried to confirm that you were already dating. When you reassured him you absolutely were he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, admitting he had several dreams about asking you out before he mustered up the courage to do so. For a second he thought he was either still asleep or he had only imagined making his dream a reality, but he leaned over like he had a secret to tell you, asking once more if you’d be his just to be sure.

While his first impulse might be to take a picture of the beautiful scene before him, while ordering you to pose accordingly, this was a look Cater was unwilling to share with the world. He wished he could be as smooth as he imagined but he feels his face going warm, trying to keep his thoughts in line as this wasn’t the ideal opportunity to take advantage of the outfit you’re wearing. He does mumble that your casual cruelty was killing him, nuzzling your shoulder and asking how you’d repay him if he behaved.

Leona Kingscholar:

Leona knows that you’re doing it for him, a ‘subtle’ way to beg for his attention without having to physically get on your knees for him. He can’t take advantage of it right away, pretending not to notice the efforts you’re going to, treating you so casually you would almost think you got demoted from being his lover. It’s when you’re just about to be alone, with company still bothering you, that Leona touches your waist, leaning over to whisper sweet promises in your ear to return your affections if you can manage a quick escape with him.

Lilia Vanrouge:

Lilia’s sly smile lets you know he’s caught on right away, giving a more censored comment on your outfit if others were around. He would whisper in your ear that you’re a tease, playing with the material of your outfit as he asked what had inspired you to wear such a thing. He would chuckle if you tried to play innocent, promising to pull out your honest, sinful desires when you were alone that night.

Rook Hunt:

Rook has always had a fine eye for art, and he can certainly tell when you’re all dolled up for him. He thinks it’s only right to respond with appreciation, considering you a hands on exhibit as he runs them along your body. He whispered in your ear that you always managed to draw his attention in the most unexpected ways, even when you didn’t realize. He gave some observations about the outfit, the color entirely flattering, the fit perfect for your body, he couldn’t get enough of you.

Vil Schoenheit:

Vil always felt an ego stroke when you appealed to his taste, down to the very material you clothed your body with as you knew he liked the way it felt. He needed a bit of a show first, making you show off your trick, modeling your beauty for him to give him a taste of what he was getting soon. He enjoyed admiring you the same way you admired him, considering it returning the favor as you often asked for the same thing when he took your tastes into mind. He enjoyed seeing the pieces you wore, hoping he helped you expand or grow in confidence when it came to trying new fashion.
