I love how Malleus is misunderstood in the truest of sense not because he's a typical kuudere who likes animals but just happened to always pick the most offensive language known to mankind every time he wants to praise the mc, but because people are literally making up shit about him that he's never done before.
"He'll kill you on sight," "He eats babies for breakfast," but when you meet him he's a genuinely happy person. Like, not even because you accidentally triggered his gap moe and you see the golden heart he's purposely hidden from the world because of trauma or some edgy crap. Literally just someone who smiles the entire time he's talking to you and guffaws at your jokes and gets excited at the thought of going to places with you.
Like, that's not a kuudere, that's a normal person.
And it's not even that he doesn't have trauma. My guy accidentally got cursed by his own mom. It's just that he thinks the prospect of a precious present moment weighs so much more to him than a past he has no control over.

馃悏馃嵓: *whines louder*
馃悏: "Stay still while I fix you up. ... Though I suppose it would be a good idea to have you stay like this for an hour or two."
馃尭: "Why are you so mean to him? He just wanted to fly."
馃悏: "He needs to know of pain too. If he starts thinking that everything he does has little to no consequences, he might soon be charging off to his own death. If anything, he needs to learn this more than others lest he abuse his gifts."
馃悏馃嵓: *Cries pathetically*
馃尭: "Oh my poor baby... Oh, I know just the thing to make you feel better emotionally, at least."
馃尭, bringing him ice and a small tub of ice cream: "A bit of ice on your limb and in your tummy will do you good!"
馃悏馃嵓: *Starts dancing on his tippy toes*
馃悏: "..."
馃尭: "Oh, you're not injured."
馃悏: "You actually dared to fool us for a snack?"

In the end, baby didn't get the ice cream and was sentenced to jail time in his crib instead. Grim passed by and took pity on the kid, so they played rock paper scissors the whole while before he was inevitably released for dinner.

Btw this is proof that Sebek wouldn't get mad if you and Malleus fall in love with each other. Malleus is like his B-Pop bias (Briar Valley Pop) and anyone who shares his special interest oshi is automatically a kindred spirit in his eyes. He'd invite you to watch Malleus videos on his phone. He's down to make Malleus merch with you. You will be his bff only second to Silver.
Malleus is the one who'd get jealous that you and Sebek are suddenly getting close for some reason. Once he finds out that he's the reason why you're close though, he doesn't know what to feel. He doesn't want to feel left out so he fanboys with you, but he can't possibly fawn over himself so he makes merch of you instead lmao.
