His tail swayed with anticipation and joy as he watched you picking up bits of Leona’s clothes. He was tasked with cleaning the lion’s room after he came back from work and complained to you about it during his break. He hadn’t expected you to actually do it for him!

If you told him that this shy little human would be so steadfast in their love for him, he’d laugh at you. Snickers and all. But through the months of dating you, he found out just how much your love languages differ from your personality.

Hugs, kisses, and hand holding had been his favourite of all though, even if he had to initiate it first. He’d see you in the hallways and barrel towards you after he sees your face light up. Even though you were hesitant with receiving it in the beginning, you would always reciprocate it. He rather enjoyed his discovery of your love language of physical touch.

It was a particularly stressful day for the hyena, so he went to Ramshackle to beg for love to his favourite person. You took him in without him even needing to say anything or pull any self-pitying faces. You cradled his face so carefully, as if he had been made of the finest china and took him to cuddle on the couch. No, he didn’t enjoy the head scritches, Leona! He’s better than that.

For the longest time, both of you danced around each other in an awkward shuffle they called love. He confessed first while you initiated things first, even with your shyness. But that would soon change as he saw how affectionate you were with him.

It started with simple touches and hugs. It went up to you helping him de-stress in the bath with you in Ramshackle. He took the many products Vil demanded gave him to use, to you. Only because you muttered something about wanting to look and feel prettier. At least that was what his mind told him.

He let you lead him to the bathroom, a nice warm bath steaming the room in an almost alluring atmosphere. That wasn’t the night for that though. Both of you sunk into the water, simultaneous sighs escaping you as the warmth seeped into your sore muscles. Epel melted into your touch as you turned him around and washed his hair, his back against your chest. You prepared it just right, a mix of lavender and rose, Vil would be proud. Almost.

“And then Azul yelled at me! I mean what does he want from me —”

The moody eel went on, complaining about his day as you prepared dinner, his form draping over you. You turned to give him a kiss on his cheek, a gesture you hoped to calm him down. It did the opposite. He picked you up and carried you off, the food left behind as you scold him to put you down.

Some people wouldn’t consider Floyd’s… affection as that. He threatens anyone that steps on his buttons the wrong way with a squeeze. A sentence you might have misunderstood. One you took him up on despite your shy nature.

Your shy touches and hugs was met with an overenthusiastic puppy eel. He overwhelmed you with kisses and squeezes. When he sees you, you can guarantee he will pick you up twirl you around.

A gut feeling told you that you were needed at Mostro Lounge, something to do with a certain eel. In the motions, you prepared a bento for him, knowing it will lift a bad mood from the stubborn eel.

The dim lighting of the restaurant accentuated Floyd’s slumped posture, taking up an entire bench as his face remained in a pout. You made your way to him with a smile, carrying the bento in your hands. His eyes darted up, the darkness clouding them soon lifting as he sees what you have.

So when you hand him a rather large container of cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and tarts (an inside joke between the two of you), his hope in his chance with you is restored.

He feels so spoiled, but he can’t go acting soft in fear of you viewing him as any less of a man

So, in return, he will ask Trey for assistance in making you something in return.

When the Vice Housewarden asked why, Ace started blushing so hard as he told him that you gave him a bunch of sweets and he wanted to repay the favor.

Trey laughed as he promised to keep this a secret from everyone else, and they made you some chocolates and donuts for the first year to give to you as a gift.

When he did give them to you, he was so nervous and his palms were sweaty (knees weak, arms are heavy)

“H-Here, Y/N. I made these for you, with the help of Trey. No, I’m not going soft! Shut up…”

Deuce Spade

He was very flustered when you handed him a big box filled with tarts, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolates

He is now a man on a mission. He needed to return the favor somehow, so he goes out to Sam’s shop and browses.

Deuce comes out of the store with a bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear. Unlike Ace, he is fine with people seeing him with those items.

With every step he took towards Ramshackle, the more and more nervous he got. What if you didn’t like him and the gifts were just platonic?

Eventually, he was at the front door and he already rang the doorbell and knocked on the door, meaning there was no turning back.

Every single time this man sees you, he falls in love all over again. When you opened the door, it was no different

“Hey, P-Prefect. I got these for you and I wanted to know if you would possibly be my significant other? Oh, y-you will?” *casually faints*

Ruggie Bucchi

This hyena was very excited when you gave him a box. He could smell the distinct scent of donuts within the container intermingling with your scent

Honestly, this is probably what Heaven was to Ruggie. His crush remembers his favorite food, and made them for him and him alone.

Those donuts were probably the best he ever had because they were made by you, and that already makes them a top contender

However, as he was finishing up the last one, he started coming up with ideas on how to pay you back for your kindness

Since you made him something sweet, he decided to make you a meal that hailed from his homeland to counteract the sweetness with something savory

For the next 2 hours, he is making a dish he thinks you will like, and he even made it look presentable.

As he made his way to Ramshackle, he was getting a tad nervous. However, if you made him donuts, he knew that it was more than platonic.

You saw him through the window and invited him inside your dorm.

“Hey, Prefect. I know you made me donuts, so I made you a dish that comes from my homeland. It’s my grandmother’s recipe!”

Jamil Viper

He was blushing when you gave him the box of sweets, mainly because he never guessed you would give him anything since… you know… he overblotted and attacked you.

The Vice Housewarden opened the box to see cookies, miniature cakes, a few handmade candies, chocolates, muffins, and a couple of donuts as well.

This would keep him set for at least a few weeks, if not months. He almost didn’t want to accept this gift, but you insisted upon it

He did feel bad for not having a gift to give you at that moment, so he set about making some curry to hopefully repay you.

Mans spent a long time making sure he got the right seasoning to food ratio and that it tasted perfect. Anything subpar would not suffice.

When he set out towards Ramshackle, his hands were kind of shaking. Why would you ever like him? He was a servant…

Too late now, because he rang the doorbell and was waiting patiently for you to answer the door.

The moment you opened the door, Jamil told himself that it’s now or never.

“Good evening, Y/N. I wanted to thank you for the sweets, and in return I have made you some curry in hopes that you would agree to be my significant other. So, what’s your answer?”

1. Who's hand did you first grab? Why? Would you choose someone else if you could do it over again?

I grabbed Idia's hand! When I first got into TWST, I had absolutely no clue what I was getting into so I really just went based on which voice actors I recognized LOL. I know Kōki Uchiyama from a ton of different anime (JJK, Buddy Daddies, Haikyuu, BNHA, Yuri on Ice, etc.) so I just went with his character. While Idia doesn't crack the top 5 for me, I don't think I'd choose again. The only reason I would is if it impacted the story somehow but I really doubt it will. I'm COMITTED.

10. Top five favorite characters?

Grim occupies all top five spots. BUT since that's boring, so I'll limit my choices to the main cast lmao. (My love for the dire beast is PROFOUND) I got VERY wordy here so here's the short answer: 1. Riddle Rosehearts

5. Kalim Al-Asim Explanation below the cut! (I got very excited to talk about my favorites and wrote a lot so I figured I'd condense it for people who didn't want to scroll through it all lol whoopsies.)

1. Riddle Rosehearts - I have no explanation for this?? He's pretty much the opposite of my usual favorite characters so idk what happened here. I've always been drawn to the Alice in Wonderland aesthetic so maybe that has something to do with it? He's got such great character writing, too?? Everything about his personality just makes sense when you know his backstory. When we learn that Riddle's tyrant of a mother was strict and controlling over him, the pieces just seem to fall into place. His whole life was just following her rules and studying like a good little boy, and when he stepped out of line even a little bit he was reprimanded harshly for it. Of course, he's going to the exact same thing once he's in a position of power. It's all he knows. He's just another version of his mother. Not only does he uphold the tradition of punishing rule breakers rather severely as he was when he was younger, I think there's also an element of fear there as well. Like, his mother just instilled an innate fear of breaking rules because bad things would happen if he didn't follow them exactly. I really do see Riddle as a scared little boy who is suddenly realizing that he was set up for failure by his own mother. And THEN he makes an honest effort to improve himself post-overblot?? His transformation after the fact is one of the more obvious ones and I'm just so proud of him. A THOUSAND HEAD PATS!! Okay, I'll stop rambling about him lmao I love Riddle sm (Also want to make clear I'm not saying Riddle was right for anything he did, only that I appreciate how his character was handled. Added for legal purposes so people don't come after me :c ) 2. Vil Schoenheit - This one comes as no surprise to me. Pretty boys who challenge gender stereotypes are RIGHT up my alley. Like Riddle, I think Vil has some great character writing is one of the more complex characters in the game. He just feels so compassionate to me?? I don't know how to explain it - he just gives such nurturing vibes. I'd trust this man with my drink at a bar fr fr. And then he tells Epel off for saying ballet is too "girly" for him?? Thank you TWST for bringing me this man. I pray at the altar of Vil Schoenheit. 3. Malleus Draconia - Doesn't Malleus top everyone's lists LOL I think my favoritism for the dragon man is more to do with his relationship with Yuu than anything else tbh. He's like one of three characters that actively engages with the main character and I think they've got such a fun relationship. Two people who feel very alone in the world finding friendship (or something more for you malleyuu shippers) in each other is so beautiful. I'm glad they can be there for each other like that. Side note: I adore romantic Malleyuu for sure, but I think it's equally as endearing if all of Malleus's flirtatious lines were never meant to be romantic but he's just really bad at communicating his feelings in a platonic way. Like, he doesn't mean to flirt he's just socially inept. 4. Ruggie Bucchi - Gremlin hyena boy is just too good for words. Ngl, I started off not really liking Ruggie all that much because of what he did in the Savanaclaw book. My mans was basically shoving people down flights of stairs?? I'm not really sure where the turn around happened tbh. Mischievous personality types do tend to draw me in in fiction so that probably has a lot to do with it. I also felt really bad for him at the end of the Savanaclaw book when Leona was ready to Thanos him out of existence despite everything Ruggie had done for him (and continues to do for him). I appreciate his work ethic, I can respect the hustle, and he's got such a cute little laugh. I wanna pet those big ole ears of his. Leona - pay this man more smh 5. Kalim Al-Asim - SUNSHINE BOY!!

He's such a breath of fresh air in this game LMAO. As much as I love the fact that most of the cast are unapologetically flawed, it's nice to have a few characters that are genuinely good people. His VA (Kazuki Furuta) absolutely kills it imo. I can hear his laugh in my head as I'm typing this - it's just so warm and happy :D He also breaks the sterotype of most rich characters in media by just being a nice person? He's not evil or greedy (although naive and entitled) and he just wants to be bffs with Jamil. Break his heart Jamil and we're gonna have WORDS. Also just like FORGAVE JAMIL??? His bfffl yeeted him across the desert, brainwashed him and admitted to wanting to get him kicked from the school and Kalim didn't really hold it against him. He was so understanding and sweet about everything AHHHHH

I feel like he's also a cuddly person(don't know why🤷‍♀️), so when you hug him after a long day a smile is instantly put on his face. When you try to pepper his face with kisses, he might just cup your face and give you a kiss on the lips instead. When you're walking around in the hallway and hear something fall near you, it's probably him. This man has tripped over your tail so much, and although most of the time it's on accident, sometimes you do it on purpose just to catch him and see him flustered.

Jack Howl

He does not CARE how much times you insist you don't need help, he is going to help you. In a fight? He either helps you or drags you away. You are going to get help with things like that whether you like it or not. He's not very used to your affection and when you randomly just come behind him in the hallways and hug him, but he isn't complaining. He might give you a kiss on the forehead in return. I think at first y'all HATED eachother (Y'know cat and dog kinda thing), but it was kinda became an enemies to lovers thing. Finds it a bit interesting when your ears twitches in your sleep(Do you know what im talking ab?). He'll ask you what you were dreaming about in the morning.

It was strange to think that his feelings exceeded something of friendship. No surprise, he caught on to his own feelings quickly and came to face them.

Now, ways of courting you. It’s different since he’s a beastman and you’re a human. He had to do a bit of studying on courtship for humans but he figured it out.

He gave you small gifts and also offered to carry you sometimes. He insisted on it sometimes. It was odd since he didn’t do it with anyone else besides you. It had to be pointed out but you came to realize this strange interaction.

You laid down on the concrete in defeat. Your arms luckily broke your fall but your knees took most of the damage. Your knees bled even through your pants.

“Prefect, are you ok?!” He asked in a panic. You rolled up your pant leg and inspected it.

“Yeah I think so.” You said while winding at the pain. Jack could tell that it still hurt. He knelt down and held his arms out.

“I’ll carry you to the nurses office.” He offered. You stared at him with a suspecting expression. His ears tilted downward as you continued to stare.

“Jack, do you like me?” You raised an eyebrow.

He flinched away and he scratched the back of his head. “Where’d you get that idea?!” He asked.

“What if I said I liked you back?”

“Don’t mess with me!

“Oh, but I’m not.”
