how good are zodiac signs at lying + tier ranking
!! everything is based purely on my experiences with signs, written with no other purpose than to share my observations and be unserious.
excellent liars + can cause a significant amount of stress
Pisces (unintentionally made it to the top). You know how it's said to be a good liar you have to believe in ur lies? Queens and kings of that. Live in another dimension and process everything through their mood (and it changes A LOT)/or their relationship with the person they are talking about. Hence the «they’ve changed» and «it's different this time». They rarely lie out of a negative spot tho, it's simply how their emotional filter works and distorts reality for them. Also despite being good at lying they just use those Pisces eyes to get what they want. This imo works more for Pisces Risings and Pisces Venuses.
Libras. It's vital to them to be liked and well thought of so a lot of the time they’ll say and do whatever grants them precisely that. Can be very eloquent with their words, super socially conscious. Can navigate a convo without ever sliding into remotely misbalanced territory. Ig a libra lie giveaway would be if they are in a situation with two or more extreme opinions – it might cause them to get overwhelmed and lost.
pretty good + can cause a moderate amount of stress
Geminis. Not surprising I know. Earned and fought for their rightful place. Will lie for fun (mostly). Their motivation for lying is that of an elementary schooler – to see exactly how far they can get away with. Nevertheless, imo they are not as evil with it as they are made out to be. It's merely a way of getting mentally stimulated at any time of the day because without it they would honestly die. Quite easy to deal with too. You either play their game and start lying for shits and giggles too (works if ur goal is for them to like u) or ignore them (it takes about 2 minutes until they get bored and move on to another). Tbh anything in Gemini in ur big 6 will give u this result to some degree. The reason why they're not higher is cause their lies typically don't have the longevity of those above.
Сancers. Cannot stand feeling threatened so they’ll do anything and I mean anything to keep that sense of inner safety – including lying. Basically, if something is even slightly intruding on what they consider their comfort limits –  they will lie their way back to their precious shell. Ig it gets a bit problematic cause often they feel the threat without there being one. And since they are literally the opposite of clearing the air right on the spot you’ll seldom get a chance to catch that moment when they get into their defensive stand. Works for Sun or Rising/Mars maybe?? + If u have both bonus points to the insanity u might cause.
might try to lie but will probably fail + no stress pure fun
Leos. Will try to lie if they feel like their ego might suffer a bit or their social status is under attack, but you will notice it cause honestly there’s not a single emotion they can hide on that face. I’ve noted that they normally hate lying as a phenomenon in general (might be cause it makes them feel unstable and they are a fixed sign + all that ego protection). Besides they don't consider lying as something needed for them to gain love (them being themselves usually does it). Prideful lil babies (I’ve seen Leo Sun or Leo Stellium be like that). Aries. Оk these ones often don't even try. Don't have the patience to analyze the situation and how it might benefit them to lie – they rush straight into react mode (and they are pretty entertaining in it). Same as Leo don't consider lying necessary for them to get what they want – they just go after it and get it.
сan lie in theory but prefer other methods of torture
Scorpios. Lying is too easy and they like to be elaborate with their victims opponents. In all seriousness in my experience they won't appreciate you lying, and won't lie too. They crave that soul bonding hard and lying doesn't really say I want to belong to u with every ounce of my being. If they like you chances are you are sincere in how you feel towards them and they will let you know too. This obviously all falls apart if you have wronged them in some way. Then bye.
Tauruses. It’s simply tooooo much work and effort. Also generally requires reacting quickly and they would rather exit the situation altogether. And you will like them for other reasons and they know that so ig that’s why they just chill and wait for theirs to come naturally. And it does. And they will be smug about it.
can lie but actively choose not to + hence can cause a lot of stress
Virgos. Would never deprive themselves of the pleasure of being mean critical (esp Virgo suns). Feel like it's their life mission to point out flaws and inconsistencies so they won't tell white lies regardless they like you or not (might be super annoying to you – to them it's everything). But it's useful to have someone that tells you how it is (this line def belongs to Virgo too). Also think they are too smart anyway so they’ll get what they need through that.
Sagittariuses. Pretty obvious. In their world it's either telling the truth or having a heart attack right then and there. It can be so bad that you will ASK them to lie and they still won't. I think it's partially because to them any thought that comes up in their head is worth sharing so there u have it. Good thing they can be funny with it but not always… If they have Sag Sun and Sag Mercury it's this but on steroids.
could not care less + stress levels caused are moderate but for other reasons…
Capricorns. Too busy to notice you, let alone talk to you, let alone lie to you… But if they do a) you have something they need for their GOAL therefore you have value b) ur somehow got to their inner circle but they still won't lie. They will tell you how it is only to save their time. Can be mean (but honest!!!) but I think they genuinely don't realize it (unlike Virgos).
Aquariuses. Also too busy but usually with made-up stuff. Don't need to lie since people don't understand them either way. Too focused on bigger plans bigger picture bigger anything to come down to such low topics like intricacies of human interaction. To be fair they are really chill and really could not be bothered.

I just finished reading Nando’s book about his journey in the Andes and I highly recommend it for its honest retelling of those 72 days, and his personal experience dealing with them.
I wanted to share some quotes that truly made me appreciate his and Roberto’s friendship even more. He spares no words to define Roberto’s stubborn, competent and unique personality and that’s how you see they’re truly brothers.
“After seeing how Arturo and Rafael suffered at night as they lay on the floor of the plane (and bellowing at them fiercely to stop their pathetic moaning), Roberto spent hours the next morning fashioning the swinging hammocks that gave those two injured boys some relief from their pain. It was not compassion, exactly, that spurred him to do these things, it was more a sense of duty. He knew his gifts and abilities, and it simply made sense to him to do what he knew no one else could do.”
-
“But more than anything I wanted him with me simply because he was Roberto, the most determined and strong-willed person I had ever known. If there was anyone in our group who could stand up to the Andes through sheer stubbornness alone, Roberto was the one. ”
-
“Roberto was Roberto, on the field or off, and even in the middle of a hard-fought match, he refused to be told what to do.”
-
It reassured me that Roberto was becoming his grumbling self again.
-
“Roberto,” I said, “can you imagine how beautiful this would be if we were not dead men?” I felt his hand wrap around mine. He was the only person who understood the magnitude of what we had done and of what we still had to do. I knew he was as frightened as I was, but I drew strength from our closeness. We were bonded now like brothers. We made each other better men.”
-
“Roberto stood beside me. I saw the fear in his eyes, but I also saw the courage, and I instantly forgave him all the weeks of arrogance and bullheadedness. […]
Roberto nodded. “You and I are friends, Nando,” he said. “We have been through so much. Now let’s go die together.”
-
“He was forcing himself forward now through stubbornness and the sheer power of his will. As I watched him, I knew I had been right in choosing him as my traveling companion.”
-
“But no one has been a better brother to me than Roberto Canessa, my partner in that long trek through the Andes.”
-
“In that moment, neither of us trusted that we had any kind of future, but we did, and more than thirty years later I am proud to say that I am still best friends with Roberto, who has only grown more resourceful, more confident, and, yes, more hardheaded with the passage of time.”
-
I tease him mercilessly about his ego, but I would not have him any other way.

Wanna Be Your Girlfriend
Tumblr media
Hii, this is based off the ask *here*. I'm desperate for more Nami fic ideas, so feel free to send asks in. I mean, LOOK at her. She's beautiful and I would die for her. I tried to keep the scene recaps short bc I'm sure mostly everyone has watched the show and don't need to read what happens too. Happy reading!
Pairing; Nami x Fem!Reader (no y/n, no description)
Warnings; canon violence, swearing
Word Count; 2.2k
Tumblr media
You're sitting with Zoro after Zeff helped patch him up. You're the surgeon of the crew but you never had to deal with wounds like the one Zoro was suffering with. It was your first time seeing a wound like that. You mainly dealt with bruises, cuts, scrapes and the occasional broken bone back home in your village. Nami wanders in, her brow furrowed in concern.
"Hey, how are you doing?" she asks.
"Me?" You turn to look at her. "I'm fine. It's Zoro we should be worrying about."
"I can worry about both of you."
You feel your face grow hot. Ever since you joined Luffy's crew, you've developed a crush on the redheaded navigator. You thought she was a badass, kind (when she wanted to be) and a cool person to be around. You wanted to know everything about her, wanted to be around her constantly. But to make sure you didn't come off as a lovesick puppy, you steered clear of spending too much time with Nami. She probably didn't even feel the same way and there was no sense in trying to encourage the crush when you had to spend weeks on a ship with no escape. Unless you wanted to take your chance with the ocean.
"Can I have a minute with him?" Nami interrupts your train of thought.
"Of course!"
You check over Zoro's bandages quickly before leaving the room in search of Luffy or Usopp. Zoro was the only one who knew about the crush you had. That was simply because he caught you rehearsing what you would say to Nami during literally any interaction. He was good at keeping his mouth shut, so if you had to wish one of them caught you, you were glad it was him. Luffy and Usopp wouldn't be able to make it past dinner before they let something slip.
You wander from the ship back onto the dock just to see Luffy being thrown through the door of the restaurant. In shock, you watch as Arlong stomps towards him. Fear gripped your limbs as you watched the two fight. You couldn't do anything - you were a doctor, not a fighter! As Arlong goes to sink his teeth into Luffy's neck, Nami's voice calls out.
"Arlong, wait!"
She marches past without even looking at you. You watch as she walks towards the fishman, map of the Grand Line in hand. "I have it. I have the map. I got it for you, just like I said I would."
"Nami. What are you doing?" Luffy pants out.
"I tried to tell you, Luffy. I was never on your crew. I only joined up with you so I could steal the map."
You feel like everything goes silent as her words hit your ear. The world spins around you, making you nauseous as Nami walks to Arlong's ship. Arlong throws Luffy into the ocean, casting you a glance before following the redhead to his ship. You're torn between going after Nami and jumping in to get Luffy. Both moments pass you by as the ship sets sail and Sanji jumps in to save your captain. He heaves him onto the dock as you snap out your stupor and rush to help.
Luffy lifts his head as he asks, "Where's Nami?"
"She's gone. She's a member of Arlong's crew," Usopp answers.
Tumblr media
An hour later, after setting sail, you're sitting in the galley staring at your hands. You couldn't wrap your head around what had just happened. No way Nami went with Arlong. No way she betrayed you and the rest of the crew. No way she was only on the ship to just to steal a map. You didn't want to believe she had been lying the entire time you knew her, that she didn't care for you. For the crew.
Luffy comes in with Usopp, Sanji and Zoro followeing close behind, his usual grin on his face. You eye him skeptically, frown deepening as he walks to the table you're sitting at.
"What are you possibly smiling about? Nami left us!"
"Don't worry about that. We're going to get her back. We can't go to the Grand Line without all of our crew."
"What?" You shoot to your feet. "You mean it?"
"Of course. A good pirate captain never lets a member of his crew stay behind."
Your throat feels tight and your eyes burn with the threat of tears. Luffy was going to get Nami back. You couldn't ask for a better captain. Straightening up, you look him in the eye. "Thank you, Luffy."
"So, we're going after Nami. How are we going to find her?" Usopp asked.
"Yeah, we don't even know where she is," Zoro chimed in.
"I know someone who does." He slams a bag onto the table, causing whatever was in it to groan. He opened it, presenting Buggy the clown's head. You jolt back in disgust.
"Hello, boys!" the clown head cheers, giggling.
Tumblr media
You end up in Coco Village to look for Nami, according to Buggy that's where Arlong and his crew lived. You follow Luffy to where Nami is talking to a villager, looking for the ransom money the fishman is owed for the month. When she turns around to find the five of you standing there, she hesitates. You feel your heart speed up - you were unsure if it was because of the betrayal you felt or the longing of wanting to be with Nami.
"Luffy? What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing."
"This is where I belong."
"I don't believe that," Luffy says. "This is not you."
"No. This isn't the me you want me to be," Nami spits out.
"Nami . . . if you need our help-"
"No. I don't need any of you."
Her eyes linger on you for a moment too long that makes you sick. You would've cut your heart out for her before if she asked. Now she's here saying she doesn't want you.
"I never want to see you again." Her eyes once more meet yours before she turns and walks away, taking your shattered heart with her.
You numbly follow Luffy to the house on the edge of the tangerine grove. You barely processed Nami leaving you in the first place, now you had to deal with her never wanting to see you again. Were all those little moments you had with her fake? Nothing more than an act? You didn't want to believe it, that your feelings were completely one-sided.
In the house at the end of the tangerine grove Nojiko, Nami's sister, invites you in after being promised a meal from Sanji. She told you what happened to their mother when they were young and why she, and the town, hated Nami. You began to understand why she betrayed you; you may have even done the same thing if you were in the same situation. Instead of staying angry at Nami, you directed that rage to Arlong and the rest of his crew for exploiting Nami's pain.
After helping Sanji do the dishes, everyone rushes outside when you heard commotion. Nami was stabbing herself in the arm before Luffy grabbed her arm. The two spoke for a while, you itching to bandage Nami's cuts. In front of you, the small town of Coco Village was on fire thanks to Arlong.
"Let's go," Luffy rasps.
"Right!" the four of you chime.
You run to Nami's side with bandages, cleaning the cuts before she even realizes what you're doing. She flinches when she finally notices you, trying to inch her arm out of your grasp. You grip her arm ever so slightly roughly to make sure she doesn't move it more.
"You shouldn't even be doing this for me."
"Why? You're injured. It's my job to help."
"But I was such an ass to all of you," Nami whispers. "Especially to you."
"None of that matters. Your sister told us what happened to your mother. I forgive you, Nami."
Fresh tears sparkle in her beautiful eyes. You brush them away with a soft touch to her cheek, finishing wrapping her arm with the gauze and then helping her stand. "Let's go kick some fish ass."
Storming the park as the sun rises, you help Zoro and Sanji fight the pirates trying to protect 'Arlong Park'. It was surprisingly satisfying to punch several of them in the face.
"Damn, Doc," Zoro whistles. "Remind me to never piss you off."
"For someone who swore she doesn't to hurt others, you're doing well," Sanji comments.
"Yeah, well . . . they hurt someone I care about. It becomes personal then."
You notice the smirk Zoro throws you but refuse to acknowledge it. When you see Nami speeding down the hill, your heart jumps to your throat. She crashes into Usopp and Zoro first, panting, "I'm so glad you're okay."
She lets them go, turning to you to smile her bright beautiful smile. "I'm glad you're okay, too."
"Me, too. Uh . . . I mean, you too. I mean-" You sigh, biting your tongue.
Suddenly, the ground rumbles. The building that Luffy was still in was falling down. With a gasp, Nami grabs your hand tightly, lacing your fingers together. You could barely enjoy the moment through fearing for Luffy's safety once more. But the fear wasn't needed; your rubbery captain was fine as per usual. You squeeze Nami's hand in relief.
Later, after the confrontation with Luffy's grandfather, you're sitting next to Nami by a fire. "Lots of excitement today, huh?" you say.
"Yeah. I'm going to sleep for a week after all this," she answers.
Swallowing, you decide it's now or never. "Nami, I wannabeyourgirlfriend," you rush out.
"I'm . . . sorry?"
"I want to be your girlfriend."
She looks at you in surprise, making your cheeks flare with heat. What if you just made an absolute fool of yourself in front of her and now you have to deal with the consequences for the rest of your life on that damned ship?
Nami must've known you were in your head because she places a hand on your cheek to bring your gaze back to hers. She has the bright smile on her face. "I thought you'd never say anything. Usopp owes me twenty Berry."
"You placed a bet on when I'd ask you? Wait, when did you even know?"
"I've liked you for a while now. I just didn't want to say anything because I knew what I was going to have to do." She shrugged. "I didn't want to hurt you. Then when Usopp asked when I thought you would confess, I figured it had to be obvious I liked you, too. Guess it just took a dickhead fishman to make you see, huh?"
You laugh, utterly overjoyed with the fact that Nami likes you too. She likes you and wants to be with you. "I guess so. But hey, at least I finally got there, right?"
She nudges you with a laugh. "Right." Nami's gaze softens as she looks at you. "Meet me in the morning? There's someone I want you to meet."
"Sure."
The next morning, you meet Nami outside the entrance of the hut you slept in. She took your hand with a grin, leading you to a part past the tangerine grove. There was a large tree with a stake next to it, the name Belle Mere carved into it. You look at your new girlfriend curiously. She blushes.
"This is my mom. I wanted to bring you here. Two of the most important women in my life."
Tears burn in the corner of your eyes as you look down at the grave. You take her hand, running your thumb softly over hers. "I'm so glad you wanted to introduce us." You direct your next sentence to Belle. "You raised an incredible, amazing daughter. I hope you're immensely proud of her."
Nami is staring at you with stars in her eyes, squeezing your hand. She brings you closer to her until you're standing pressed against one another. She cups your face with her free hand, eyes darting all over your face, brushing a stray tear off your cheek. You felt the tension swell, anxiety building up in your chest until you say -
"Kiss me."
Nami swoops in, leaning down to press her lips to yours. The bliss you feel is blinding as you finally get to kiss her. It's soft, sweet, everything you imagined it would be. When you part, you're both breathless. You meet her piercing gaze.
"You're not leaving again, are you?" you ask.
She brings your intwined hands up to her lips, kissing the back of your hand. "If I ever leave, you're coming with me. But no, I'm not leaving. Not until we find the One Piece."
The two of you share one more kiss, giddiness filling each step you take back to the ship.

Devil Take The Hindmost

True Form!Sukuna x Goddess of Humans!Reader Synopsis: A deal between a goddess and a curse: are human emotions truly worth feeling? Content Warning: None really, some angst and strong language in some spots I guess
The village was burning, the crops destroyed, and in the middle stood the King of Curses himself. Screams echoed in the burning remains, those that were fortunate had escaped but most of the village was already dead, the unfortunate were suffering watching their loved ones die before them as they tried to pull themselves from the burning rubble. A small child was grasping for her mom’s hand trapped under a burning building. It was truly pathetic watching maggots like that their tears were such a boring sight.
Raising a single arm to grab the pathetic child by her throat, he never registered the quick strike. In the blink of an eye, the arm was cut off being held by a mysterious woman. In the midst of the burning village and collapsing buildings, her divine glow could easily have been missed. “How dare you interrupt me? I care not for gods and especially not ones who would defend these maggots.”
“Oh my, oh my. So quick to dismiss me. You truly think yourself a god,” the katana you had severed the arm with raised in defiance. You tossed the arm that you had severed, the blood had already stained the white gloves you wore. Sukuna rushed you bare-handed, he had the upper hand as far as physical strength, and testing your defenses before resorting to his jujutsu to formulate a plan was a priority. After all, it wasn’t every day he could fight a god, perhaps you could even give him a challenge. You moved gracefully weaving through with the grace of a ballerina, moving further and further from the child. As he threw punch after punch, your mind was churning you needed to move with precision, cut off all arms nearly simultaneously, deploy your cursed technique, grab the kid, and go.
Taking the opportunity with you in your own mind, Sukuna took that moment as an opening. He sent a single cleave slash at you, not enough to decimate you but to determine if your cursed technique bolstered your defenses. ‘Shit there goes that plan,’ you mentally cursed. In a single moment, your cursed technique activated, a glowing circle forming at your back with crystal shards floating along the edge of it. Crystals gently flowed around your feet and formed along the edge of your blade. One of the shards took the brunt of Sukuna’s attack knocking you back and throwing you into the rubble of a building. He was too strong you weren’t winning this, his cursed energy was on par with the gods and his technique was far more useful in combat than yours. Pushing yourself up from the crumpling home, you threw yourself through the fire, running for the child. Reaching the crying child you grabbed them picked them up and wrapped yourself around them to protect them from any attack Sukuna might send towards you. Deactivating your technique and suppressing all your cursed energy you disappeared into the rubble, slipping away amongst the smoke.
“Damn, I thought that would be more fun. Pretty shitty for a god.”
Years passed with the young child, learning her name to be Yae, she served as your faithful attendant, though you two tended to bounce from place to place. The common feature was simply being surrounded by humans. You adored them, being the goddess of humans. You had no issue exorcising lower-level curses that caused them problems. Every emotion they felt was so beautiful in your eyes, so free to feel and express it all. However, they were also fragile and so fleeting. Yae had adored your technique, in the crystals were the most beautiful of human emotional experiences- love, sadness, joy, and all other forms of beautiful overflowing humanity. You never expected yourself to feel their emotions. Yae was still a human too, though you were remiss to remember that. She stayed by your side for but 2 years before she was taken from you. What had started as a simple sickness had quickly turned worse until she passed in your arms, calling you her mom in her final moments. Lifting your hand to your face you felt tears, and thus your first human experience occurred. Sadness ripping through your heart.
You brought her back to the remains of her village to lay her to rest. Standing alone in the quiet felt crushing, no happy little Yae by your side. Nothing around you mattered anymore in this all-consuming grief. “Never thought I’d see you here again you pathetic goddess.” The cold voice brought you out of your stupor. Tear streaks were still visible on your face but your defenses were raised.
“I guess it never really mattered, the girl…she died.” Your glow seemed to die out, no longer a sure and confident goddess, but a grief-stricken one.
“What are you even the goddess of? Seems a little pathetic to be crying over one feeble little human.”
“I am the goddess of humans…I…I love them so dearly but I suppose this was the first I got to interact with them. To experience what they feel, human emotions they’re rather foreign but they feel correct.”
“That’s why you are so pathetic. Emotions, they mean nothing. The only thing that matters is pleasure and satisfaction.”
“All emotions they mean something. To feel them is to live, I never knew how hollow I was before Yae. I would never give them up again, for I would never feel alive again.”
“How about this little goddess, we make a little deal. If you over the course of a year get me to believe emotions are worthwhile, I will only kill sorcerers. But if you lose, you have to watch as I slaughter a village- no defiance or saving any.”
“Deal.”
11 months spent by someone’s side changes your views sometimes, though Sukuna would be loathe to admit it. The displays of emotions never inherently meant anything to him- a baby’s first steps were happy only when the baby fell. A death was nothing to mourn in his eyes. What did bring emotions to him were moments with you, exchanging stories from long ago.
“Ryoumen” your voice snapped him out of his thoughts. “The stars are beautiful tonight, come outside with me.” While giving no verbal agreement he rose from his desk where he had various books mainly poems you had gifted him. The stars glittered in the sky above you as he sat on the wooden boards overlooking the garden. You twirled gently in the flowers smiling freely. Your eyes were fixed up at the stars beauty, and Sukuna couldn’t help but notice the beauty you had.
Spinning around you gave him the most radiant smile, and he could swear his heart skipped a beat. You held out a gloved hand to him, the pure white fabric sparkling in the stars, beckoning the King of Curses to join you under the stars. He didn’t have the heart to deny you in that moment, and that’s how he knew you won. He wouldn’t admit it out loud, never would he say the mighty Ryoumen Sukuna, the King of Curse felt human emotions and valued them. Towering over you, he gently held your outstretched hand and watched you sway and twirl to your tuneless music. He’d carve out the sun, the moon, and stars just to keep you by his side. By the time the two of you were going inside to sleep the sun was beginning to rise.
But humans are feeble, and fall prey to emotions easily. Sorcerers were marching to attempt to exorcise Sukuna once more. Simply by being associated, you were in the line of fire when they attacked. They were your precious humans, you understood their fear of the power Sukuna wielded. As your body was pierced through and you crumpled, you gently smiled at them. You could tell it had unsettled them but as you lay bleeding on the flowers you had danced in the night before you could never bring yourself to think ill of your precious humans. You tried to apply pressure and stop the bleeding but all it did was stain your white gloves red.
Sukuna had destroyed the sorcerers in less than a thought, but the damage was done. He found your still body in the garden, and his blood ran cold. He felt for a pulse and found nothing, the blood below you should have told it all, you were gone from this world. He gently lifted your lifeless body, holding your hands with one pair of his. He refused to acknowledge the tears streaming down his face, he had a job to do. When he arrived at the burned village you first met in, he went searching for the exact spot, the spot where you had buried Yae and the spot where your deal was once made. “You foolish goddess, but I suppose a deal is a deal. No innocents for this year, after all those sorcerers made their decision to attack you so devil take the hindmost.” The stars were twinkling on your still body, face closed in a peaceful expression as he set you in the ground. He’d take the sight of you with your stars to the end of his days.
Being reincarnated into Yuuji’s body was not Sukuna’s first choice of vessel. The kid had weird tendencies, this 2 am trip to 7-11 for a slushie was becoming pretty normal to the King of Curses. Yuuji was walking fast, his surroundings were a blur. There was nobody else out until suddenly Yuuji had barreled into someone, and the girl had managed to stay upright but what she had been carrying was all over the ground. “I’m so sorry I should of been watching where I was going!” The girl apologized while Yuuji knelt down to pick up her stuff- various gardening tools. Sukuna’s eyes widened in his innate domain, he knew that voice. Creating an eye on Yuuji’s cheek, he saw the familiar gloved hand reaching out. Sukuna swore that if there was fate and destiny, the two of you were perhaps meant to find each other in every life.

saw @acourtofthought mention something pretty interesting about book 1 and elucien.
It is the fact that Sarah wrote Elain and Nesta in acotar to simply be the evil sisters in Feyre's story. That Sarah had not anticipated to write stories about them until later.
Although Lucien in book 1, is a fleshed out character way more than the two sisters.
We figure out about his unresolved relationships with his brothers and mom.
We figure out what happened to him by Amarantha.
We figure out that his lover died.
This all alone has the backup for a main character.
While Sarah talks about Elucien she goes on to say ''I always thought he would be with Nesta" and considering Sarah said in 2015 that there is someone special for Lucien, it seems like she planned that either of the Archeron sisters would play a part in Luciens story.
Obviously a lot of that has changed including the fact that we have gathered even more unresolved plots for Lucien in the future books. (spring court,Friendship w tamlin,Role as HL,Helions son"
Its just the fact that from the get-go SJM assumed that Lucien vanserra was always meant to be with a Archeron.
While answering the question about all 3 couples (feysand, nessian, elucien) Sarah states that Nesta would worsen the deep unhealed wounds within Lucien and vice versa. Although Elucien has healing tension and growth and she makes sure we understand they go through it together.
As if right now, Lucien and Elain both have potential to be the main characters of the same book. Dealing with the biggest plot (koschei) and growing together with the side plots. (seer role, HL role)
To me its obvious Lucien will be with Elain.
One of the first personal things we find out about Lucien Is his lost love interest. Which alone screams a happy ending coming (AHEM dorian & Rowan)
Although SJM made Luciens love interest murdered.
She debated pairing him up with Nesta but did not because they would tear each other apart.
Then she made Lucien go through a rejected mating bond after stating its even worse for the males?....
Even though she states that he has deep unhealed wounds? Nah.
Sarah would not make Lucien suffer so much only to have him lose his mate then possibly end up with a human who will die long before him.

Man I've written 26 fics for rise, that's insane, anyway here's a master post, sort of? I realized some people either A) may not know how many different fics I've written or B) not realized "oh he wrote that" sooo
One Shots
Don't You Care? – Donnie and Leo centric, post-movie. Donnie isn't always great with feelings, and when he fails to understand Leo's, he tries to find a way to fix it. Doing so forces him to unpack some of his own thoughts on their victory over the kraang as well.
To Bridge a Canyon of your Own Design – Splinter centric, post-movie, a bit of a retrospective on his relationship with his sons, his depression, and him trying to move away from his unhealthy coping mechanisms.
I Didn't Vote for You – Leo's the leader now, and Donnie always finds ways to argue with him about it. Leo wants to find out why Donnie has such a problem with how he's trying to lead the team, but it turns out that isn't the problem. It's simply the fact that Leo's the leader at all.
I'd Give Anything – Donnie-centric. A slightly alternate take on the movie's ending where instead of just firing a drill into the portal, Donnie jumped in, and ends up losing an arm in the process. But he has to kind of piece all of that together as he recovers in the med bay, talking to each of his family members.
Grappling With Things Beyond Your Control – Gift fic for my friend Bat! Donnie-centric, post season 2. Suddenly getting ninpo with no prior training causes Donnie's powers to start to run amok, and on top of that he has to help his family not only find a new home but move into one. It's a lot to balance, maybe too much to balance.
Four Turtles in your Corner (Store) – A silly fic about April being out of supplies for her period, and in desperation sends the boys to go get her some. I'm sure four reptilian mutants have competent knowledge on what humans need for things like this.
Now Lie In It – Big Bang fic! Takes place during season 2. Leo won't sleep, and ends up getting on Donnie's nerves. The softshell's solution to the problem is a simple sleep potion, but when he pours too much into Leo's tea his brother won't wake up. Time to force April and Draxum to go find an antidote while he hides his mistake from the rest of his family. (it sounds angsty but it's comedic, actually)
What Will You Leave Behind – Big Bang fic! Doomed timeline, Raph centric. Raph is the first of his siblings to die during the war. And while he does everything he can to be their ever present pillar as they eventually follow after, he can't help but loathe the fact that the ones still down there are suffering and he can't do anything to help.
My Words Died With You – Gift fic for Bat! Doomed timeline, Donnie centric. Donnie quit speaking when Raphael died, months later he still isn't. His family tries to help him cope with this, even Raphael does from the afterlife, but it may not be enough.
VHHB series
(These are all post-movie)
My Roommate the Troubled Time Traveler – Casey and Draxum centric. Casey Jones Jr. isn't coping too great with being in the present, and trying to live in the lair isn't helping. So Mikey has the GREAT idea to convince Draxum to let Casey be his roommate. The alchemist thinks this is a terrible idea, but he might be able to help the kid far more than he realizes.
Violet Hues and Holly Blue – Donnie centric. 8 months after the kraang invasion and Donnie's been the reigning champ in the Battle Nexus for a while, in his attempts to improve his mystic abilities. But this draws the attention of a business focused wasp named Holly Blue who offers to help sell his tech designs in the Hidden City. Donnie ends up agreeing, having to keep that secret from his family too, but eventually they're going to find out. (This is only a partial summary haha sorry, fic is heckin long)
Missing Pages – Just some VHHB extras, but hey it features Big Mama being herself, Lou Jitsu maiming some people, Donnie dealing with past blood on his hands and uuuuh Leo and Holly becoming friends (what a mood whiplash)
You Are Loved – Two-shot fic about the Caseys (of the Senior and Junior variety). Casey Jr. wants to know why his ninpo sprung up so suddenly, and in his search to find out discovers his family is much closer than he realizes. Meanwhile Cassandra is struggling with her place among the Hamatos, it doesn't help when she finds out they're keeping a pretty big secret from her. Hopefully they can make it up to her.
The Sun and Icarus – Mikey-centric. He's been doing pretty good at developing his mystic abilities lately, but now they're starting to explode, pretty violently. And it turns out if this keeps up the whole ordeal could just kill him. Better find a way to put a cap on it, or something to that effect. (Wow more power overloading fics from ME)
Girls' Night – April centric one shot, also April/Sunita. She's just trying to have a fun night out with the girls, inviting Holly Blue along for the ride, but maybe that was a mistake because in her attempts to playfully tease the wasp, she's suddenly forced to confront her own crush.
And For my Next Trick – Leo-centric one shot. Leo's getting frustrated with his lack of progress on his mystic powers, and with Hueso's advice decides to shift his focus to a different kind of magic, stage magic. With Hueso Jr.'s help, he plans to put on an entire show, which should be fine if some other magician doesn't show up to steal the show.
Look Up Hero in the Dictionary – Raph centric. Raph's feeling a bit too idle in the city lately, with only minor crimes going on, but in his wish for something exciting a strange explosion happens at an apartment building. He attempts to help everyone escape, but a yokai holding the building together stays behind, and on top of that charges Raph with the task to take care of her child. Have fun taking care of a powerful psychic seven-year old, Raph.
What You're Made Of - Casey Jr. centric. Casey is getting frustrated with discovering weird things about his body like skin problems and peanut allergies. Draxum suggests he find out who his other parent is to get an idea of his genetic history, but when he finds out who it is, he's kind of ticked off that his family never told him. (this is a bio dad Raph fic for the record).
Off Colors AU (Separated AU)
Off Colors: Contrasts - Covers season 1. Leonardo's spent most of his life believing he's an only child because his little brother was kidnapped when they were only toddlers. But a rescue mission to the Hidden City with his best friend April results in him finding out he actually has three siblings. And in the span of a couple of weeks he finds out all of them are alive and, unfortunately, working for bad guys. He's going to try everything he can to stop them and convince them to come home, but it may be a fools errand.
Other Chaptered Fics
An Alien Invasion Happened but That's Not Really What This is About - Long ass title. Jason-centric. Hi I wrote a novella sized fic about what happens to this kid during and after the events of the movie. Watch him attempt badly to cope with trauma while also fixing his relationship with his very queer dad who loves him a lot.
Artificial Phoenix – Lou Jitsu died in the arena but then Big Mama said no no no! So Draxum brings him back to life while mutating four turtles so Lou Jitsu said NO NO NO! And he took them and ran. Alternate take on the events of the show, where Splinter is undead and unmutated, and unfortunately does not keep his soul in his body the entire time, leaving his sons grieving and desperate to get him back.
Jasonnie things
Not Part of the Plan – Donnie centric. Despite knowing time travel exists, Donnie is still surprised to find his future self in his lab. But his excitement at the possibilities is swiftly crushed as his future self has an easy time embarrassing him. He hopes he can at least gather some useful information in the process, but he slowly begins to wonder if he even wants answers to all these questions.
You Have to Let Him Go – Donnie centric also sad as hell. I literally just wanted to write about how Donnie's husband hecking dies. Read this if you want to be miserable. (or if you hate Jase I guess ??? alskdjf man got char grilled (I have to make jokes to keep myself from being upset shh))
I'll Put the Knife in Your Hand – Well, now that Donnie heard about his possible future husband, he's determined to at least get to know the guy. Unfortunately his family is far more cautious about this than he seems to be. AKA Four times Donnie's family believes Jase is planning to stab him in the back, and the one time he actually does.
ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND - Donnie is messing around with his mind machine again, and in the process ends up erasing part of his memory. Specifically the memories about Jase, and Jase is barely handling this well. Good thing Donnie's brothers who totally and absolutely are on good terms with Jase are there to help. Maybe.
Dual Dragons - Collab fic with @there-wolf ! A fic in which our versions of Jason end up encountering each other and even switching universes temporarily, giving them a window into how their life could be different (for better or worse).

when you're gone
Tumblr media
~where the prefect has died, and he is left to pick up the pieces they shattered~ ~how they cope with your death~
~headcanons~ ~twisted wonderland x gender neutral reader~
warnings: angst, death
if you think i'm going to sugarcoat anything you're dead wrong i am here for tears :>
Tumblr media
on the outside, nothing about him seems to have changed. in the mornings, he still wakes up and goes to class. in the afternoon, he still playfully attends club meetings and meets up with his other friends at nrc. in the nighttime, he doesn’t even spare the lifeless walls of ramshackle a glance as he walks back to his dorm. he seems… normal. however, everyone around him can sense that something is wrong. through his fake laughter and sugarcoated lies, everyone around him can see that he incredibly misses you. you left a hole in his heart that he covered up well in thick, scarlet paint. his lies to his friends bring him a toxic kind of comfort. but his lies to himself bring him more pain as each smile suffocates him with every day that passes.
CATER DIAMOND, lilia vanrouge, KALIM AL-ASIM, ace trappola, rook hunt
he works. he works, and works, and works until every fiber of his body begs him to stop. he just wants to forget about you. why can’t he let you go? he misses you every minute of his day and every second of his night. you infected his mind like a haunting curse sent to bring him down, and so he chose to work. to take his mind off of everything you. to ignore the fact that your absence affected his grieving heart the way that it did. you were his greatest distraction, after all. but why deal with grief when there was a perfectly long list of to-do’s to complete right before him instead?
RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS, azul ashengrotto, jamil viper, VIL SCHOENHEIT, ruggie bucchi
he sits at your resting place a little longer than he should. most of the time, he is simply just sitting next to your grave, quiet and lost in his thoughts. when no other person is around, he talks to you. he speaks about his days, the latest shenanigans your friends have been stirring, the new shops that have opened since your passing, the inexplainable emptiness he feels whenever he turns around and remembers you won’t be there by his side like usual. he watches as the flowers around the cemetery bloom and wither with the inevitable work of time. on his days off from class, he stays by your engraved stone as the sun rises and sets, sitting beside you to keep you company. he dearly yearns for your warmth; however, he supposes the cold touch of your gravestone against the caresses of his fingertips was good enough.
jack howl, cater diamond, EPEL FELMIER, ruggie bucchi, jade leech, LILIA VANROUGE, idia shroud, malleus draconia
he’s irrational. angry. rage seems to be the only thing on his mind. if you think he made livid choices before, then you clearly did not see him the day your death was announced. when crowley had confirmed that you were, in fact, dead, he couldn’t believe it. wait—no. he wouldn’t believe it. someone as strong as you couldn’t die so easily. he knew you all too well. and from that day on, he made it his mission to be the most difficult and obnoxious person to have ever set foot in twisted wonderland, regardless of the chaos he caused because of it. he doesn’t care if others are appalled by his actions. he doesn’t care if his actions caused by anger affect the people around him. fine! let them suffer! their agony cannot compare to the ache he feels, though. he may be blinded by his emotions, but what does it matter anyway? his heart was bleeding and it wasn’t fair.
LEONA KINGSCHOLAR, floyd leech
he dreams of you every night. whether those dreams are joyful ones or replays of terrible memories, he dreams of it all. you cloud his mind like a never-ending mist, and he can’t seem to get rid of you. you were his star in the darkest shadows of the night. however all stars must burn out eventually, and it seems that you decided to burn out sooner than he thought. each new dream of his unlocks an unwanted image of you. images of you and him laughing along the sunlit pathways of his dorm. images of your precious face, rosy from something he just said. images of you and him together—the way it should have been. it’s to the point that he wishes he could sleep forever just so he can see the image of your face and the sweetness of your voice, even if only in his imagination. the moment he closes his eyes, he does not wish to wake up. he only wants to dream of you again and again until even he is sucked into the depths of death as well.
riddle rosehearts, SILVER, azul ashengrotto, idia shroud, trey clover, rook hunt, malleus draconia
he doesn’t believe it. you couldn’t have died, you just couldn’t! what would happen to all the memories you made? the future the two of you would make together? the future you both had dreamed about? it was impossible. you can’t be dead. conflicted emotions boil within him as he convinces himself that you are still alive. that you are simply taking a short break from nrc and would return home to him soon. everyone around him is pained to see him being in such shambles—the innocence in denial was just too sweet of a spell. even as he watched your coffin descend six feet to the ground on that mournful day, he remained chained to the shackles of disbelief as tears began to stain his crestfallen face.
deuce spade, epel felmier, kalim al-asim, sebek zigvolt

next / previous / beginning
ELION: Not at all. I’m simply accustomed to powerful women. Indeed, hierarchal structure is one of the few things in this world I enjoy. I can respect authority spoken by someone who knows firmly what they want; A commander that isn’t afraid to give commands. EIRA: But you don’t respect mine. ELION: That’s hardly the case. I respect you a great deal. But I also enjoy you greatly in other ways, so I’m inclined not to listen. It’s quite the paradox. A part of me does feel quite poorly. I’m just being ripped apart on the inside by my own internal dilemma— EIRA: Can’t you take anything seriously?! ELION: Yes. Yes I can. And I do. I’d like to get to know you. EIRA: Why? ELION: You ask me to be serious, then I will give you a very serious answer. I once loved a woman like you. You remind me of her in the most achingly beautiful way. It’s painful. And I want to feel it more. EIRA: …So it is a kink. ELION: Only partially. EIRA: laughs Ridiculous. Did she love you back? ELION: For a while. EIRA: Shocking. Let me guess, you drove her away? ELION: Not at all. I lost her. EIRA: Oh. She… I’m… sorry. ELION: She didn’t die, if that’s what you think. At least, not in that way. No, I imagine she lives, still. But the woman she once was… Death is simple, you see. We grieve in the face of it. And grief has a name and a shape. It’s understood. There are far worse things than dying. To carry on when there’s nothing left of us… That is suffering of another sort, entirely.  EIRA: And I remind you of this? Shouldn’t you resent me? ELION: Not at all. I’m reminded of the fondest memories. You see, like you, she hailed from the mountain regions; One of the snow-touched elves of the north. I wondered if you might have had elvenblood yourself. That striking color of your hair… EIRA: I’m no elf. Just unlucky. ELION: Unlucky? EIRA: My parents were perfectly plain and human, in a village of other perfectly plain humans. I imagine that’s why they threw me out when I was barely strong enough to open my eyes. I’ve been putting people off since I was an infant. So forgive me if your advances don’t exactly stir my pot. ELION: Then, my apologies. I should not have expected you to respond the same. She was, I suppose, a particular case. EIRA: How did you… meet? ELION: Very accidentally. We met during one of my assignments long ago. She was no stranger to battle; A ranger, and better with a blade than I. They say poison is a maiden’s murder weapon, but she preferred a more direct approach, and I’d never been beaten so badly. EIRA: You were sent to kill her? ELION: No, I was sent to kill her client. And I did kill him, but she certainly didn’t make it easy for me. EIRA: Well, that’s a story if I’ve ever heard one. ELION: I have many. I expect you do, too. We could exchange them sometime. I can be quite civil when I need to. Dinner, drinks, I’ll even wear my hair up. EIRA: Tch. Do I look like the type to be wined and dined? ELION: I hoped not. EIRA: Then you weren’t wrong. But I’m no one’s replacement. ELION: I would never think to replace her. But then, seeing you, I considered maybe I ought to finally move on. EIRA: Find someone else. ELION: Ah, well. Suppose I should. I’m happy to accept when I’m defeated. But you must at least give me credit for trying. For what it’s worth, I was sincere. EIRA: … ELION: About what I said before… the trials… do be careful and look after yourself. EIRA: I— ELION: Yes, I know. You’re strong. And more formidable people than you have been ground to dust in those games. Even if you do survive… I hope that when you come out on the other side, you’ll still remember just how strong you were.

Your lips my lips...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Genre: Comfort/Fluff/Mild-angst Pairing: Ni-Ki X Reader Summary: “You know what else I regret?” he finally spoke up. His eyes darting quickly to the countdown. 1 minute, It was now or never, he thought. w/c: 1473 MASTERLIST; OTHER WORKS A/N: hehe second story of the day!! I hope you like it ^^ -mari
In another world you would be happy. Maybe in that world you would be stood amongst the crowd in the Big Apple, adorning warm clothes, a scarf wrapped carefully around your neck–courtesy of your boyfriend, who just can’t help but bundle you up. Maybe in that world the count down would be for a new year. A new hopeful year full of new experiences, new beginnings, new worlds.
But you don’t live in that world.
In fact, the world you’re living in currently may not even be a world anymore after five minutes. The clothes that you’re adorning were not soft, nor comfortable. They were rough and heavy, but you had to wear them to survive. The scarf around your neck, covering your mouth was replaced with a mask to keep the smoke out. The countdown on the big building was not counting down to a new year, a new hope, a new beginning. It was counting down to an end.
In all your seventeen years on this earth, you never had a boyfriend. You never had the time to confess your love to the one you wanted, the one you trusted, your soulmate; Riki. Every moment spent felt like a race against time, cautiously hiding from any predators, always sleeping with one eye open.
Maybe the end of the world was more of a blessing than a curse. At least you won't be dealing with life like that right? It just all seemed unfair.
04:00 [1 minute down]
“What are you thinking about?” a voice interrupts your inner monologue. His eyes looked worried. It makes sense though, you thought, the world is ending.
“What is there to think about,” you laughed dryly. It was true, nothing can change in only five minutes. “We’re all gonna die. I think I’m just accepting it.” your eyes not moving from the countdown.
“That’s kind of depressing,” he chuckled lightly. That always amazed you about him, the way he made any situation brighter by simply being there. “I guess it’s true,” he adds, “But do you ever think that maybe, even if it's such a small chance, that maybe something or someone will save us?”
The hopeful tone in his voice almost made you believe him. But you’re past that. Believing.
“Nah, I don’t think so,” you shook your head, “that would be a miracle, and I don’t believe in those anymore.”
“Why not?” Oh Riki and your curious mind.
“Because,” you start, “Look at the situation we’re in right now. Even if the miracle happened, it won’t change the world.” you sighed. “Say, we got more time on this earth, we would still suffer either way.”
“I guess you’re right,” he nods. A part of your heart breaks at the sound of his voice losing its brightness, “I just wish I could have more time to do the things I’ve always wanted to do.”
03:45
“What are your regrets?” you asked, focusing your attention on him this time. You only had 3 minutes left on this earth so why not spend those last times admiring what could have been?
His jet black hair, overgrown and framing his face. Stray bangs are always moving untamed despite how many times he combs his hair back. The moles on his face, decorating it as if little chocolate chips on a cookie. His eyes, sharp and intimidating yet somehow always full of love and care. His lips….
“Well, that’s a loaded question,” this time he’s the one looking at the countdown. “Well, I wish I spent more time with my parents, maybe my siblings too. I wish I wasn’t such a bitch, you know,” he laughs. He looked at you, eyes focusing on yours. In his pupils, the image of regret, heartbreak and desperation.
“What else?”
“I also regret not being brave enough.” his eyes never left yours. Scanning and taking in your face as if he was carving it in his mind. “I regret being a coward. Not speaking up when I wanted to.”
“You’re not a coward, Riki,” you smiled softly, “you’re one of the bravest souls I’ve ever met. Look, we’re alive right now because of you.” you reached out for his hand. His soft, comforting hand. The hand that had held you on cold nights, fed you when you were sick, lifted you up when you fell, wiped your tears, tended to your injuries. His hand.
“No Y/N, I was a coward.” his eyebrows creased, guilt seeping through his veins, “you always stood up for me at school everytime someone said anything bad about me. Yet I never had the balls to stand up to those who talk shit about you.” his eyes looked so guilty and angry that you feared he was nearing tears, “I was so selfish that I put my popularity over you–my Best friend. And where’s that popularity now? In the fucking trash.”
“Hey,” you took your free hand and cradled his face, “We’re just kids, what did we know, hm?” you graced a small smile on your face in hopes that it would calm him down. “Sure, there’s so many things we could’ve done but, it’s all in the past now. What we can at least do is to think about all the good times.”
Your words left a silence in the air, a silence filled with silent wishes, longing looks, sad smiles. He had put his hand over where yours were on his face. He squeezed it three times, looking at your eyes, then your lips, then your eyes again.
You felt flustered under his strong gaze.
01:00
“You know what else I regret?” he finally spoke up. His eyes darting quickly to the countdown. 1 minute, It was now or never, he thought.
“Hm?”
“I was such a coward, I know I already said that,” he starts, “But It’s something I regret so deeply because it stopped me from telling the truth. Telling the people I love my true feelings. My mum, My dad, My sisters…” he took a deep breath. “You.”
Time stopped for you. The countdown was slowly ticking but for you it wasn't moving at all, the only thing in your mind right now was Riki, You and his words.
“Huh?”
“Yeah,” he squeezed your hand softly again, bringing it down from his face to his lap. Playing with your fingers, afraid of your eyes. “I feel so bad for telling you now, I’m sorry if its bothering you, but I can’t handle keeping it to myself anymore.”
“Riki…”
“It’s okay if you reject me,” he laughed dryly, “It’s not like anything will happen anyway. I just wanted to let you know.” his fingers worked softly against your hand as if it was a piece of glass. “I’ve loved you for the longest time. Everything you did, I always admired from the way you smile and even on your worst days. I don’t know how to sound poetic or deep around you because you make my mind go crazy, Y/N. It’s frustrating the way you make me feel, you know,” he smiled.
“Riki..” you took your hand from his fingers. This made him freeze. Had he crossed a line? Did you not like him back? His heart was already shattering in his chest when your fingers feathered his chin and lifted it up.
“I like you too,” you smiled, “for the longest time too.”
“We have such bad timing don’t we?” he smiled, the biggest grin you have ever seen. In the dark skies of the ending world, his eyes were the brightest thing to ever grace the planet. “We could have been a couple for all our life!” he whined playfully, hiding his face against your neck. “We could’ve,” you laughed back, “but let’s not waste our last time here, hm?” you took his head in your hands, bringing down his mask as he did yours.
“You’re so cute,” he pinched your cheek. You giggled as if the world was not ending. Because in your eyes, your world just started. It didn't matter that you were dying in a matter of seconds because at least you get to end it happily, in the arms of the one you love.
“Can i?” he looked at your lips, love flooding his eyes.
“Of course.”
10 9 8 7 6 5
In the other world, there would be fireworks as you kissed him. The clock would strike 12 and a new world would begin. In this world though, you don’t see anything but a bright light. Eyes closed, drunk in the feeling of his lips on yours. Lost in the feeling of his arms around you. The world may have just ended with you both with it.
You don't care though, you’re already in heaven in his arms.
3 2 1
boom.

the yi sangela post
I’m having autistic zoomies right now
I want to talk about Yi Sang and Angela because I like them both A Lot and I just think it’s fun to do comparisons. My partner made this lovely checklist with a few similarities I jotted down in a notesapp on my phone before I passed out and I will be cooking a meal thats geared solely to me but ur welcome to try and eat it if u want
Tumblr media
Let’s get into it. There is no structure here but maybe we will find it as we go along!
I wanna start w a disclaimer that this is FOR FUN its not actually that serious and ALSO its obviously not a 1-to-1 comparison because these two are also so starkly different in not only their circumstances but also their overall personality when it comes to having deal with said Issues. I feel like tumblr users are more chill these days but after some shit ive seen on projmoon twitter I am covering my bases this is just a Post by a Stranger Online LOL
Let’s take a look at our first point on this silly little chart. That point is:
Bird
Angela’s black dress heavily resembles the feathers of a bird; specifically that of a corvid like a raven or even crow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even her head librarian outfit has some bird motifs to it. I’m going to get into corvid symbolism in a second but first
Yi Sang also leans heavily into the bird motifs. His base EGO is named Crow’s Eye View after a poem by the RL Yi Sang, and the narrative draws some inspo from the short story The Wings by the same author.
Tumblr media
Wings show up often in some of his EGOS and CGs
Tumblr media
Now, it’s not simply generic birds either of them are inspired by; Angela’s black feathers, Yi Sang’s EGO title, they are specifically invoking corvids. Corvidae include many different species of birds, such as magpies and jays, but the most commonly thought of corvids would be the ones with black feathers; ravens and crows. Corvids are incredibly intelligent birds, and they are rich in symbolism and meaning.
Specifically, crows have a heavy association with death and the afterlife. Both Angela and Yi Sang are impacted by heavy losses; Angela is made from a woman who took her own life and is forced to oversee countless loops of people suffering and dying; Yi Sang witnessed his friends being driven apart in a violent manner. His two childhood friends die before him, he wishes he could kill himself and die, and is trapped in a purgatory state with his current coworkers where bloodshed is as common as breathing. Death has marked both of them.
But! That is not the only thing corvids symbolize! In more modern times the birds are said to also symbolize transformation. In a way, that ties into death, as what is death if not the final transformation in life? But neither of their final growths end in their deaths; rather, both learn to find a way to free themselves from the shackles of their past, and to push forward.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THEN WE HAVE
Book as weapon
This one is just silly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*beats you to death with a book beats you to death with a book beats you to death with a book*
Next point
Narrative haunted by a female figure
This one is in that “not a one-to-one comparison” territory, but it’s still just fun to poke at imo. In Angela’s case, she can never truly escape Carmen’s influence over her. For Yi Sang, Dongbaek is a ghost from his past. Both these women are integral to the overall narrative at hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only do these women haunt the narrative, but they also mirror the person they haunt. Angela’s desire for life is so strong because, in the end, Carmen wished to live. Dongbaek admired Yi Sang and his dream of flying. She yearned to bloom in a way not dissimilar to a bird spreading it’s wings for the first time. Angela’s Lobcorp design invokes Carmen- her hair color is Carmen’s inverted. She wears the hair time Carmen wore. Dongbaek’s hair has become white from the trauma- the inverse of Yi Sang’s black hair. Yi Sang takes up a Dongbaek identity in a mirror world to further drive home the similarities. These women play a major role in the overall identity of these two characters.
And this is just my brain going “hehe neat” but Carmen’s whole like. Brain stem mimicking a tree and its roots. Dongbaek becoming flowers. Visually very similar vibes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Onto the next point
Loomed over and controlled by a male figure
This one probably seems second most self explanatory. Ayin meet Gubo Gubo meet Ayin ect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The deal is simple: you do what we want you to do, and we have employed dubious methods to ensure that you do what we want you to do! Both Ayin and Gubo are self serving when it comes to the end goals. The levels of agency at play here are different; Angela truly had no choice, but Yi Sang’s mental state is not Great and that is being capitalized on him to help perpetuate his isolation and dependency.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing: Ayin and Gubo are just really fucking mean to Angela and Yi Sang. Ayin actively dehumanizes her and neglects her; Gubo verbally and mentally abuses Yi Sang. Fun stuff.
Now, the penultimate point:
Yearning for freedom
This naturally comes with the territory of being a bird. Angela longs to not be confined to a place (Lobcorp or the Library). She wants to experience the world and be free. Yi Sang is similar; that desire to spread his wings and fly. For both to accomplish this, they have a talk with the ‘self’. It’s only by confronting their pasts, and themselves, that they can finally get that push to live life on their own terms.

MY FINAL TALKING POINT
SEXY
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like wow hot a what? And yes I chose fourth match flame because it ties into the whole post like they’re sharing an EGO that’s basically having your hopes burnt to a cinder and also an intense longing for a better life whoa thats crazy
Concluding thoughts
I just like them both a lot. My little caged birds getting out of the cage and mending their broken wings in order to take flight. Very kino. I love them.
If u actually read this thanks ur pog

Hai hai!!! I hope your having a good day, lad.
Can I have a StrawHats x Teen! Reader who suffers from Anxiety? the reader is strong for their age though but under all that tough exterior they are still a child. I suffer from it myself and I wanna know how the crew handles a younger person with it. The reader has a habit of clutching their chest whenever they feel that overwhelming feeling coming through, and even has anxiety attacks now and then. It would be sweet seeing the crew comforting them.
Pleaaase and Thank you! Take your time I know people have other things going on in life besides Tumblr!
─Strawhats x teen!reader (platonic)
─Summary: you have an anxiety attack but luckily they are there to cover your back
─Warnings: none
(Related part)
Dealing with anxiety is quite a struggle, I hope everything goes well for you friend, a big hug to all of you who also fight against it 🫂
Tumblr media
─ Being the youngest only means that you will have a little more attention in case something happens to you, this doesn't mean that everyone doesn't knows that you are strong enough to fight your own battles, otherwise you would not be on board.
─ That's probably why at first you hid your little moments of anxiety as best you could, despite being the youngest, you wanted to see yourself as one of them, you don't need so much attention or seek anyone's approval to make your own decisions.
─ You were a teenager despite everything, a stubborn and proud one who doesn't accept the help of others so easily, although you learned to toughen your exterior, your interior was as soft as plasticine.
─ But bad habits never die, whenever you had stronger anxiety attacks unconsciously your hands were positioned on your chest, squeezing to try to make the feeling in the pit of your stomach disappear.
─ Robin and Chopper were the first to notice this when you were in some stressful situations, and they immediately knew that you weren't well, however you will lie so they don't worry.
─ Unfortunately, after the two of them noticed how sometimes your breathing stops out of nowhere, the anxiety attacks increased.
─ They began to subtly help you so that you wouldn't feel like they were helping you, your pride wouldn't allow it, if they noticed that you were starting to get anxious they would distract you by talking to you about anything or moving you to a quieter place.
─ But when it started to get worse, everyone noticed your mania when you felt anxious, except Luffy, he just thought that the food had made you sick.
─ Although when they explained it to him, he hit you on the nape for being an idiot, this man doesn't have a bit of tact, he scolded you for not trusting them covering your back, it's okay that you want to solve your problems on your own, but sometimes it's okay to ask for help.
─ And you collapsed after he told you that, Sanji hit Luffy for being so hard with his words and took you to the kitchen while preparing the meal, he asked you for help letting you do the simplest things to calm down.
─ The cook spoke much more calmly with you, you were able to release some of that pressure that oppressed your chest thanks to him.
─ After that, none of them seemed to behave differently, that is, if they helped you in a much more noticeable way when you had your attacks, but they didn't comment on anything, they simply helped you without asking anything, they knew that sometimes you can't get to talking in the middle of an attack.
─ Luffy will fight it off with hugs, Usopp will offer his hand for you to grab and squeeze, Chopper knows a lot of types of breaths to calm you down, Robin will pat you on the back, Nami will pat your head, Zoro will probably drag you into another quieter place (you end up lost), Sanji will probably kick the reason for your anxiety if he can, Brook will play something on his violin to relax your body, Franky will distract you with any of his new inventions and Jinbe will make you focus only in him to calm you down.
─ In general everyone knows that you will be fine on your own most of the time, but if you start to hold your chest it will be the sign to take action to give you a little hand, they did not make you feel weaker, you learned to better cope with anxiety by their side and luckily the attacks subsided a bit after that.

The Grim Dark Archives: Statement #005 Named Cybertronians
[Statement taken from [Redacted] on [Redacted: Sensitive data] regarding known Cybertronians. They were asked to elaborate on the Cybertronians that have been recorded as being present on Earth after the alien known as Cliffjumper was killed in action. We know very little about the event, but supposedly Cliffjumper was deployed to search for Decepticon activity.
According to the report given to us by Optimus Prime, Cliffjumper found where Decepticon agents were mining energon and promptly initiated combat. This resulted in his capture by the Decepticons, and although a corpse has yet to be recovered, the Autobots reported that his vitals flatlined.
High command saw fit to use [Redacted]'s knowledge to try and gain an understanding of just how many aliens we could possibly be dealing with in the near future. Thankfully [Redacted] was more than willing to speak on the matter and has already expressed an interest on elaborating more on certain individuals.
Statement begins.]
══════════════════
Oh this is the kind of question I will gladly answer. Collecting data on people, organizations, a various beliefs is my specialty. Now, since you are already familiar with the Autobots, I shall begin with them.
Let's start with the two wheeler. Her designation is Arcee, as you know. She is of a small sub-class of Cybertronians known as 'femmes' and well known for her abilities. Let me warn you now, femmes are some of the most terrifying Cybertronians out there, and not for the reason you may think. They may be small and seem feminine to you organics, but our femmes are built with strange and unique abilities alongside their differing processing methods. I will go more in depth regarding Cybertronian femmes a bit later. For now, all you need to know is that they latch onto the mentally or physically weak amongst our kind. And at that point, they claim the mech in question and slowly prepare to use their ability and... improve them.
Don't question it right now. There will be time for explanations later. For now, we are doing an overview aren't we? Anyway, her records do not go back to before the war, but personal investigation leads me to believe that she likely worked for the High Council in some capacity. She has ties to the Primacy but largely sticks with the Prime because he likes having a femme around to throw at enemies. Femmes are vicious creatures. Honestly considering how much Arcee liked him, Cliffjumper was a dead mech walking anyway. He's lucky to have been killed by the enemy rather than face the fate of those chosen by femmes. I've been the subject of a femme's interest once. I barely made it out alive. Thank Primus the Archives took me before she did.
Cliffjumper is rather irrelevant now, but I will go over him anyway in case he somehow manages to walk off whatever the Decepticons did to him. He actually doesn't have a ton on his record. He was a regular recruit, one recorded signing on sometime around the height of the war when factions had to be picked. There was nothing out of the ordinary about him, and in fact, he fell below average strength levels for most soldiers. That is probably what got Arcee interested in him. Poor mech came from one of the outer cities and probably didn't know what in the pits a femme even was. Its unfortunate that he's dead, but I honestly do think it was likely in his best interest. He would have dealt with so much suffering otherwise.
May he rest at peace as one with the Allspark.
Next up is Bulkhead. You know? The one who beat me into scrap? Don't play stupid. I am no fool. I am well aware you saw that footage. We will be discussing that later. Now about him, he is a Wrecker. His augmentations are specifically made by Wreckers for Wreckers and he will die for the organization. All those who join the Wreckers are bound to them forever. There simply is no escape once the augmentations are finished. Most don't want to leave, and Bulkhead falls into that category. I can go into more depth about the Wreckers and their... beliefs, a bit later. At the moment, let it be known that he does not give a flying frag about you squishies. He follows the creed of his kind and thankfully for all of you, that creed does not permit unnecessary damage to native lifeforms of foreign worlds. Last I checked, he serves the Prime because that is part of his duty and Prime gave him the means to deal with a grudge of his. He has a personal investment here on Earth because he heard that there was a rouge Wrecker here somewhere.
No I will not elaborate right now. You lot need to be paying close attention to what comes next, so I will not linger on topics at the moment.
Ratchet is the resident medic. I believe I have expressed my fears before, but seriously, medics are DANGEROUS. I cannot emphasize that enough. The insane fraggers hyperfocus on one field and one faction and they stick to it like glue. They cling to their alliances and progeny like a parasite and will fight and even maim one another over patients. Ratchet is one of the best and worst medics I have ever encountered. His genius is legendary and he is one of the few who have ever been able to absorb all medical knowledge without focusing too hard on any particular field or falling to medical madness. Yes that is a real issue amongst my kind.
He also is not quite as insane as the others because of his upbringing out in the middle of nowhere during the age before the Quintessons came. But with that said, his motives are dubious at best. He is loyal to the Prime alone and would gladly frag over anyone who is not a medic or an Autobot. He also is not fond of you fleshies, but he does his job and should probably not be too bad so long as you don't catch his interest. Honestly getting the interest of any of my kind is a bad idea, so I suggest just not doing that. Medics in particular have one pit of a subculture that makes them a pain in the aft to understand, even for the average Cybertronian.
Now, moving on from the mad medic, Bumblebee is the team scout, and for good reason. He is totally unaugmented. He has no attachments whatsoever. No commlink, no programming, no battle codes, no inbuilt weapons, no specializations, nothing at all. He is practically a civilian and has to work himself half to death just to keep up with the rest of our kind who get augments nearly the moment they are old enough to handle them. If you are looking for the safest Autobot, you will find it in him. He is still one of my kind, but possess a great ability to empathize, or at least offer aid without expecting something in return. He never got any alteration programming, which may explain his more reasonable disposition. But of course, there is a reason for that.
I will not go into detail right now, but Bumblebee is kept from receiving augments on purpose. It is easier for mecha without augments to receive the Matrix of leadership and live reasonable lives under its control. Optimus is by no means loving, but he cares for what he sees as his. Bumblebee is being trained to be physically stronger than the others and mentally hardened so that he can bear the burden should Optimus fall. Either that, or he is being prepared to carry the weight of our people's history if another is found more suitable. The Prime is currently a walking databank for all of Cybertronian knowledge. One way or another, Bumblebee will carry the weight of one station, be it that of the Archive or the Matrix. He cannot escape, but it does not seem like he wishes to. He is loyal to his Sire and to the cause after all.
As for Optimus Prime himself? He is a whole series of statements on his own. To give you the thousand mile high overview, he was originally a dock worker. He was normal, much like Bumblebee. He had the attention of a femme, but he seemed to have a reasonable lifespan on him regardless of that fact. Then the Archive took him, and there he became one of theirs. He was one of the many sets of optics and frames which belonged to the Archive. And yet, he took interest in Megatronus, the leader of the Decepticons. Orion Pax, as was his name at the time, had his reasons for being involved. However through a series of accidents, he found himself being prepped for war. He was offered as a sacrifice, and the last resort relic that is the Matrix of Leadership was given to him. Since then he has led the war and done everything in his power to take what he sees as his.
He is a master at manipulation and adaptation. He can and will find information on every subject and devour it like a starving mech. If he finds you interesting, he will tear you apart to gain every last fact and iota of information. There is no escape from him, and until he gets what he wants, he will not allow anyone to stand in his way. His goals are complex, and even I do not fully understand. But he fights all the same and will kill you regardless. Be wary of him. He is by far the most dangerous simply because he has lived so long.
Primes do not last longer than a few millennia. And yet Optimus has lived for over four million years. That should be a sign that he's clever and has ways to bypass what we have always assumed was a death sentence.
For the Decepticons, there have only been three confirmed units and one unconfirmed thus far. I will explain any others as they become relevant. To begin, there is Starscream, the Lord of Vos. He is a seeker, a subsection of flight class Cybertronians that do not fall in line with normal standards. Seekers were complete isolationists before the war, even going so far as to have their own ever moving city, language, and culture. They do not use modern technology, they do not worship Primus, and their rituals are savage even by Cybertronian standards. I will go into more depth on them later, but for the time being, just know that Starscream being the Lord of Vos essentially puts him in the position of Shaman for his kind. He is a follower of nature and seeks to keep things in balance while remaining faithful to his culture. Due to how little is known about Vosian culture and Seekers as a whole, he is unpredictable. His motives are almost entirely impossible to figure out and he will fight in the way of the ancients. By all accounts the Seekers should have been wiped out eons ago, but their methods are... surprisingly effective.
Cunning and strange, Starscream's methods are unorthodox and his loyalty is all but void. He serves whatever it is he worships, his people, and himself. That is all. He has no mortals or ethics even amongst our rather loose ones. The only benefit you humans will find in his nature is that he is not fond of killing without reason and likely will leave you alone if you don't bother him. But of course he is a spontaneous mech and could just as easily turn up in the dead of night and slaughter you all will no explanation. Leave him be, that is my suggestion.
Soundwave is Megatron's second in command, at least behind the scenes. He joined up with the Decepticons long before they were official and knows more than I care to bother explaining. Not a spark actually knows what he is, but him and others like him, such. as the Autobot Blaster, have an ability that gives them an edge. He is able to house symbiotes, beings that I have no real clue where they come from. Soundwave and those like him are recorded appearing out of the blue randomly only to then latch onto mecha of interest in a manner like femmes. Those mecha proceed to live out their lives normally, but usually just before death, Soundwave and his kind will drag them off never to be seen again. Within a few vorns, a new symbiote can be noted running around. I hypothesize that whatever is done to the dying plays a role in the creation of symbiotes, but I do not have enough information. Soundwave serves Megatron, that is what matters.
He can get into just about anything and very little is known about him as a whole. No known motives, no known origin, no known anything really. He is a stranger who appeared in the pits alongside Megatron and simply never went away. Keep clear of him if you can. He is a mech that even the average Cybertronian tries to steer away from.
Vehicons are clone soldiers that might as well be civilians with toy blasters attached to them. They are normal mecha who are held together by some grand communication array that I am not familiar with. They are mass produced, hold very little value, and oftentimes do not have much personality aside from the one that they all share. They work without question and die in droves before being promptly replaced. Honestly your biggest concern is possibly being stepped on. The Vehicons are untrained newsparks at worst and competent but low level ground units at best. Until they develop more as individuals, they are not too great a threat save for when they are sent out in waves.
Lastly there is Megatron, currently MIA Lord of the Decepticons. He came from the mines of Kaon and somehow managed to work past the slave coding installed in him long enough to simply wander out of the pits. He was a scumbag in the redlight district for a while before spontaneously ending up in the pits as a Gladiator. There he gained a following and did his best to fight for his cause before ultimately turning to war to make things more faster. This backfired horribly if you can't tell. Now he is a mech who seems lost more often than not. He has been noted having patchy memory, more so after every interaction with Optimus Prime. He is only as cruel as was normal in the redlight district and his most concerning trait is his astounding lack of care for anything orderly or organic. He hates programing or augmentation and only tolerates it in his soldiers to win. Augments enrage him to such an extent that he has been noted acting out of normal parameters in response to heavily altered individuals. He wants chaos, that is what you need to know.
If he thinks it would further his ends, he would gladly wipe this planet off the map. However he does nothing without reason, and so unless you garner his attention, you should be fine. Stay away from him, don't mention anything related to the Archive or the Matrix, and all should be well... for the most part.
I can tell you more later, but for now, you best keep your organic optics on the happenings going on. If Cliffjumper is dead, it means there is a very real chance things are going to spiral and do so fast.

[Statement end.
The timestamps have been removed from these reports in response to [Redacted]'s information on the Cybertronian known as Soundwave. What information we have is critical for our survival, and we simply cannot risk it being destroyed even if the alien able to do so with ease likely won't ever bother to damage our files.
We expect [Redacted] to be giving us much more data soon, especially since they have begun to warm up to me and my fellow agents since their repairs were completed. They have also requested to be referred to by masculine pronouns, perhaps as a sign of trust? Whatever the case, we are making progress. Hopefully we will have a reasonable way to fight back against the aliens soon, at least if their guns settle on us.
Agent Witwicky signing off.

Masterlist | Rules | Taglist | Library | More Kyuma | AO3
synopsis: Led by your brother, your crew decided to play the King of Clubs game. Arisu might be certain that the best he can do is understand this land, but you are determined to make sure he will survive. Whatever it takes.
warnings: Niragi is his own warning, but the things I gonna make him suffer also deserves some warnings. Hands will be lost. Nudity. Its a aib oneshot, we gonna talk about death and blood and violence and all those bad things. One person will die, only one, try to guess who. Power of friendship. Karube and Chota will be mentioned. Eldest sister worried about younger brother. Younger brother worried about eldest sister. Canon divergent. I love Goken, and I like to represent him as a excited puppy. Happy ending, I promisse. This was supossed to be about Kyuma, but I love the whole team so...
Tumblr media
It was a silent trip. Half of you wanted to say something, but the other wouldn’t endure to listen to someone pretending to have a response. So you kept your mouth shut. It was enough to deal with your conscience already.
You thought that nothing would ever be harder than the Ten of Hearts, but the only reason for you to be alive now is luck. None of you knew what to expect now. That game simply started. No names, no rules, no cell phones. If it wasn’t for Ann having a car, or for Kuina to find a safe building y’all could hide in, you would have been shot by the King of Spades. Not even Arisu can save you from a bullet.
Arise led your crew to a new game arguing that it was the only way to finally discover what was happening on this hell land. You told him that you think this is some kind of country, but he said that Hatter ideas clung into your mind. Usagi didn’t believe that knowing what's happening would make that big of a difference, but the majority won.
After all, no one really had a choice. This sick world is ruled by a simple statement: or you play, or you die.
“This is…” Tatta stumbled over the words. “Giant.”
It was the biggest arena you saw since you started playing. It was a harbor filled with shipping containers stacked on top of each other until they were tall enough to block the view of what was inside of it. You could smell the salty aroma, but you couldn’t see the ocean.
“It says we need six players” Kuina read the board on the table with electronic bracelets.
Usagi was quick to add: “But there’s only five.”
And with just a second to imagine what was happening, all questions were answered by two coarse words. “Six, actually.”
And suddenly all the fear of the future turned into anger.
The world really isn’t fair. If it was, Karube and Chota would be with you both, laughing and drinking and gossiping about anything that moves. It it was, anyone who ever thought about touching a woman without her permission would be fucking dead. If the world was fair, Niragi wouldn’t be standing there.
Just like Kuina, your first action was to go to another place. Just get back in the car and let him rot. That was your brain talking, because your true will was to punch him until he couldn’t even open his eyes. Punish him for what he did to Usagi. For what he did to your brother. For what he did to you.
When you three were used by Chishiya, Niragi made sure that y’all would suffer. He beat your brother, and almost… He said he would have his way with Usagi and take you next. You think it's kind of ironic that what saved you both were the warning of a new game.
But when Usagi took the bracelet, you knew that you had no choice but to play with him. She saved you and your brother after the death of your friends, you could never abandon her.
“Don’t look at me like that”, Niragi said as he got closer to you. “I know you missed me.”
You took a step forward. Tatta held your hand. You broke free from him and kept walking until you were facing Nigari. You could smell the rotten flesh. Good. Now he is as rotten on the outside as he is on the inside.
“If you don’t play right, if you don’t help us win”, you smirk. “I kill you myself.”
Niragi licked his upper lip. “You're not the first to say that.”
“But I will be the last.”
With your bracelet on, the gates opened. “Registration is now closed. The game will now commence.”
Walking inside, you realized how big that arena was. It took a full minute to walk past the corridor. And now, able to look inside it, you knew it was some kind of a labyrinth. A giant labyrinth, made with shipping containers.
“What is this place?” Tatta asked.
“The King of Club’s team is now entering the field”, said the announcer, almost like she heard Tatta. And the voice was replaced with rock.
Each from a different side of the labyrinth, four people paraded to the center. And, well, they were cool as fuck. And because of that, you knew it would be harder than you can imagine. Every single calm and centered person that you meet on this land showed you what hell looks like.
“Welcome to our game field”, looking at those four people, you didn’t see the man talking. Until you did. “I am the King of Clubs, Kyuma.”
And he was fucking naked.
Looking at a dead body was less embarrassing than that. You and Kuina looked at one another, trying to make sure that you both didn’t go crazy and started imagining naked people. But if you were to go crazy, it would have happened sooner.
“Okay, let me introduce everyone”, said the naked man. “First we have Shitara.” A hairy man raised his arm.
“Uta.” And she was the coolest woman you have ever seen. In your old life, someone like her would make you blush.
“Maki.”’ He was just a normal average man. Meh.
“Goken.” And he was, for sure, the crazy one. A naked man was right in front of you, but that guy… you could sense the craziness.
“Pleasure.” Silence. “That's all the reaction I get?”
“I think you are weirding them out.” Uta seemed annoyed.
Shitara rested his hands on his thin waist. You were sure it wasn’t the first time they had this conversation. “Put some damn pants on.”
“What? Not a chance! Nudism is an upstanding practice. A social movement with hundreds of years of history! Clothing is a social construct. No biological necessity. Humans should be bare and raw. After all, it's only natural.”
He wasn’t shy. And, well, he didn’t have a reason to be. His body… Don’t get distracted. Don’t look down. Don’t look down.
“Listen, we don’t care about that” Arisu started, annoyance clear in his voice. You hold his hand, trying to stop him from pissing someone off. “Just tell us who you are.”
“Who are we?” The naked men glared at your brother. “We are the citizens of this country.”
You couldn’t help yourself from laughing. You tried to cover your face, but it didn’t make a difference.
“What's so funny?” Goken asked.
“Nothing.” You responded to him, running your fingers through your hair. Looking at Arisu, your smile went bigger. “I told you so.”
Goken and Uta made eye contact. She nodded with her head, and Goken got excited by that. They agreed: you have potential. Maybe your team can finally give them what they are looking for.
Looking at you, not that you have noticed that, Kyuma explained that his team created that game. Shitara was the brain of the project. Six against five. It still looked like your team was at a disadvantage. There were a lot of rules, but they weren't that complicated.
The game lasts two hours;
Both teams try to collect points;
The team with the highest total at the end of the games wins;
Each team begins with 10,000 points;
Players divide these points among themselves before the game begin;
The minimum amount is 100 points;
You can score points by battle, items and base;
You can pair up with a teammate;
Wristbands can give you an electric shock;
Point below zero: game over;
A tie is a win for the King of Club's team.
“So… it's a huge gamble.” You said to yourself. You started to stretch in the way Usagi taught you. How you wish it was a game where you could sit all the time. You are the best in Diamonds, your weakness is those games that demands a lot of physicality. “In a huge arena.”
“You now know all the rules”, Kyuma said. You used all your energy to look at his eyes. “Let the game begin.”
Arisu asked about coming back to the real world, but Kyuma clearly disagreed with the definition of real. “We want the truth”, you said. “Real or not, the truth.”
“You want the truth?” Kyuma repeated. “Face me with everything you have.”
“All right, then.” You caressed Arisu’s shoulder and gave Kyuma your brightest smile. “We’ll play your game.”
“What are you doing?” Arisu whispered when the other team was gone. “Why are you so confident?”
“All will be determined by how we chose to distribute our points.” You whispered back. Nigari was the last person you wanted to hear your strategies. “This is a math game. Play it right, be fast, and we can win. We faced harder games, didn’t we?”
“We didn’t. We literally didn’t. That's the whole point.”
A discussion about how your team should split the points started. Split in equal ways is fucking dumb, no one with working brains would do that, but how else should it be done? Of course Arisu knew what to do.
The faster runners get fewer points. Usagi and Kuina have 300 each. Slower runners get more. Arisu, Niragi and you have 3100 each. And the guard gets the least points possible. Tatta has only 100, but he can touch the base anytime he wants to get infinite points.
“You like me that much, uh?” Nigari asked to Usagi. Running in the labyrinth, you imagined how amazing your life would be if Nigari was mute. “You chose to pair up with me.”
“It's because I won’t care if you die in front of me.”
Laughing, he looked at you. “And you?”
“It’s because of her."
And almost without noticing, you three faced Maki. Together, you three have 6500. No way he can have more than that. With Niragi between you two, Maki did what anyone would do: he ran.
Kuina and Arisu were trying to find items.
“Okay, what's happening between you and Usagi? Or between you and your sister? Why did you let them pair with Nigari?”
“Nothing.” Arisu answered, but he wasn’t convincing. “Strategy. Usagi asked to pair her with him, and my sister… Well, she didn’t ask anything, she just did it. I don’t know. I think she is trying to protect Usagi.”
“Or to kill Niragi.” Kuina completed.
“She never killed anyone.” Arisu opened a shipping container. “She was always the kinder of us. My older brother is the brain, I am the useless, and she is the heart. She would never kill anyone.”
“A item!” Kuina screamed. “We did it”
With another 2000 points, they closed the shipping container. And Kyuma was there to congrat them. “I couldn’t help but overhear. Sounds like there is an issue. You are fighting with two of your teammates.”
As Kyuma stepped forward, Arisu and Kuina stepped back. “I learned something about being a leader. You can’t push people into following you for no reason. You have to be ready to listen to them. Wait for them to come to you.” Arisu couldn’t understand why Kyuma was advising him. “Now, let's go. Let’s not end our lives with regret.”
So they battle. And Kyuma lost.
Of course you couldn’t just find an item. Trying to put up with Niragi, even a second lasted more than a year. But when Usagi saw Goken, a guy that totally looked like someone that should be in a band and probably would be the first to be kick-out because of drug abuse, every second started to matter.
Usagi attracted him, running towards the corner where you and Niragi were hidden. You almost touched him, but he was really fast. Here's the first thing you learned about Usagi: no one is faster than her.
“I was expecting more from you”, you said after receiving his points.
Goken got closer to you. You could even sense his breath. He looked at you from head to toe, a smirk appeared on his face. “You are definitely reaching my expectations.”
"What do you mean by that?" You took a step forward. You didn't touch him, a eletric shock is not on your wishlist, but got your face close enough.
“You two gonna flirt?” Usagi stared at you, hands on her waist. “Now? Really?”
The screen announced more points to your team. Kuina just touched Maki on the other side of the arena. You glared at Goken. “We don’t have time for that.”
Goken was already running. "Maybe later!"
Gathered at the base, your team had a lot of motives to celebrate. But the other team… Well, you know what they say about people that lose everything: now they have nothing to lose.
“What do you think about them?” Uta asked. After all, she was the one that didn’t have a chance to interact with the players.
“They have potential”, said Maki. “Most of them.”
“I will keep my eyes on Arisu’s sister”, Goken couldn’t stop moving. “Gonna do it for the gang, obviously.”
“Oh, shut up already!” Shitara rolled his eyes. “We have to go now.”
Tatta was alone when they came. And he touched the base when he had to make a decision. And when he felt his hand against someone's chest, Tatta wished he would wake up from a nightmare. He would be on his bed, alone, safe and sound.
But he wasn't.
“You picked me?” Shitara stepped back. “You better use this to win. If I die in vain, I’m… I’m gonna beat the shit out of you in the afterlife, man.”
Tatta was staring at the man, looking in the eyes of the man he just killed, unable to move. He killed him. Tatta killed him. Tatta killed someone.
“You were my good friend." Kyuma always sound so happy, but now... "I’ll never forget what you did for us.”
Shitara roamed to one of the exits of the labyrinth. He was confused, barely capable of walking. "Let me at least die with some privacy." After he turned into a corner, hidden from everyones gaze, Tatta saw a laser.
Any sign of faith, any hope, dissapeared now. Dead. The crew was fucking dead. By the end of the game, if they don't find a way to save themselfs, they would be dead. 30,000 points. Thats not something easy to beat.
"Couldn't even guard one pole, right?" Nigari spat. He slapped Tatta's head. "Fucking useless. Trash is always gonna be trash. You piece of shit."
"Lay off of him!" Usagi demanded. "He did the best he could."
"We underestimated them." Arisu said. Tatta noticed how he didn't defended him. But he didn't deserve to be defended. He is the reason why his team will die. "They are prepared to die."
"So what do we do now?" Kuina were sitting beside Tatta. He didn't say a word for quite some time, she was starting to get worried about him. "We just have one hour."
"I think that", you interfered. "We should attack their base."
"They gonna be defending it."
"Nigari is right." Arisu made his choice. "Lets split up again. Items are key"
"I really think we should..." But no one listened to you. They were already running. If four people attack their base they won't be able to defend themselfs, but clearly Arisu didn't think that. You don't blame the others. Arisu usually is the one that knows how to win. You looked at Tatta. He was so quiet, it was like he wasn't even there. "It's not your fault."
"It is." He finally said something. "I am the one to blame."
You knelt down in front of him. Holding his hands in yours, stroking the scars he gained as a mechanic, you smiled. "Is it a Diamonds game?"
"What?"
"Or a Hearts game? Spades? You ain't gonna tell me they added one cart suit when I was distracted? God, I hope they didn't. I don't have time for that."
"What are you even talking about?" Tatta couldn't help but laugh. "You sound crazy."
"This is a Clubs game, right?" Tatta agreed. "So you can't be the one to blame. This is a team game. We should work together, win together, lose together. The last time I checked you didn't have five arms so you could kill anyone that comes near while touching the base. You did your best. We, as a team, failed to understand how far they can go. Now we have to fight back. Will you fight with me?"
Tatta tried to stop it, but a tear fell. He closed his eyes, nodding in agreement, and was surprised to feel you thumb brush his cheek. "Then lets fight with our lives. I will go now, but I will come back."
Shitara felt a shiver go up his spine. On top of one of the containers, hidden and forbidden to interfere in the game, he watched your team discuss and decide on a strategy. He also saw how they treated the boy who 'killed' him. He almost felt sorry. And he saw when you knelt next to Tatta, your confused words soon turned into something that completely changed how the boy behaved. You saw him, you realized he wasn't well, and you decided to help him.
He was starting to see what Goken saw on you. Maybe, just maybe, this is their last game. Shitara hope he is right.
But your pretty words couldn't change reality: your team was losing. Kuina lose to Maki. Arisu lose to Kyuma. Someone from your team found a item, and you found one after a few minutes, but it wasn't enough.
Running in the labyrinth, already lost, a scream got your ears. You stopped, but then you realized. You heard that before. "Usagi."
You ran in the direction of the sound, only to find Niragi on top of Usagi.
All you could see was black. It was like when you wake you from a dream you can't really remember. From a deep nightmare that eat you whole. When the colors finally came back, it was all red.
"Stop!" Usagi kept screaming. But she wasn't mad. You know her for a long time. She is worried. She is scared. She is hurt. But she isn't mad. "He is done! He is done."
You were on top of Niragi. He wasn't awake. Your hands... You started crying when you saw all that blood. Niragi was already done after the fire, but now you can't even see his face. His chest was moving, but he wasn't awake. Nigari finally shut his fucking mouth.
You look at her. Her head was bleeding. "Are you..." Your tears fought with your words, and they win. Usagi hugged you, and you could feel your body melting against her warm skin. "Are you okay?"
Usagi used all of her forces to give you a smile. Carressing your hands, getting blood into hers, she keep on nodding with her head. Her body was so warm you could fell sleep on her. "I am fine. I am safe."
Looking at you hands, glaring at the blood, something change. Usagi know that face. She saw it on your brother once a day. Its the face of someone hopeless finding a reason to fight. You had an idea.
Fifteen minutes later, you finally found someone. Watching the ocean, Kyuma didn't bother to look at you. "You'll lose." He warned you.
You nodded with your heard. "I know."
"Then go."
"That's the first game I know I won't win." Looking at the ocean, you realized why the game was happening there. It was beautiful. What a landscape. In another situation that place would be a paradise on Earth. "Even the King of Spades wasn't so difficult."
"Thank you. It took us a lot of effort."
"I didn't knew you were a liar."
Kyuma finally looked at you. "What did you call me?"
"A liar." You took a step forward, Kyuma didn't move. "You told us to fight with everything we have. You told us to not have regrets. Here am I, fighting with everything I have, and you refuse to take me seriously. Liar."
Within a seconds, Kyuma hold your hand into his. "As you wish."
But he lose. And the look on his face... you would never be able to make enough money to pay for it.
"How can you..." Kyuma couldn't look away from his hand. "Did you cheat? How did you...?"
You took your left hand out of your pocket, and between your fingers was the bracelet that once belong to Nigari. And it was covered in blood.
"Are you..." Kyuma couldn't look away from the bracelet. "You are insane."
Still holding his hand, you pulled him closer. "You said that we should use everything we got. Thank you, Kyuma. You offered me suck a pleasurable game. None could compare." You were serious, but needed to laugh. "I got this whole 'clothes are a social construction', but you don't know how pockets work?"
Before he could say anything, you ran away. You only have more 30 minutes. You loved the look on his face, but you needed to find your crew.
"You did what?" Arisu yelled. He was holding you on his arms, trying to clean the blood on your wrist with his shirt.
"You heard her", Usagi replied. "She won a battle. And we both found a item. We can win."
"We just need to touch their base", you said, hopping this time he would hear you. "If three people touch it, we won. Thats all we need."
"Lets do it." Kuina was ready to run.
"No."
"Arisu, we need to..."
"I won't sacrifice anyone here. We won't just run into their base and let someone die. Everyone will survive."
"Then do something!" You yelled at him. "If we do nothing all of us will die! We can't just sit down and shut up!"
"I don't know!", Arisu felt like his head was about to explode. When he touched the base, he realized something. "Someone didn't touch the pole?"
"I didn't", you moved to touch it, but he hold your hand. "Did I broke a rule?"
"I know what we have to do! But... I don't know if it will work. We just need a distraction. Something that would be impossible to look away. They are four but if it work..."
"Stop whispering to yourself!", Tatta yelled. You never saw him screaming to anyone. "We have 15 minutes left. Just explain your plan!"
When Arisu explained, everything was clear as day to you. "Am I the only one who didn't touch the base?"
"You were so excited to talk about your battle with Kyuma that you forgot", Usagi told you. "That means you gonna be the distraction, right?"
"Exactly." Arisu wasn't sure if it would work, but he wouldn't die with regrets. "You think you can do that?"
"I think I know exactly what I have to do."
At the other teams base, they couldn't stop talking about how you broke someones arm to took the bracelet out of it.
"Thats weird for her." Uta was standing against the pole. "She never harmed someone on her other games."
"I said that before but no one believed me", Goken said while running around. "She have so much rage inside her. She just needed a reason to explode."
Maki agreed with him. "But I bet Niragi is alive still."
"I think he is dead."
"No way! He is bleeding somewhere."
"Its a bet."
"Why are you so quiet?" Goken poked Kyuma. "Are you scared?"
Kyuma seen almost lost. "She surprised me."
"Thank you for that." Your voice gave away your location. Leaning against one of the containers, all eyes turned to you. "To be honest, I was surprised too."
And you were naked.
"Fuck", Goken shouted.
"Fuck indeed", Uta pinched herself to see if she was imagining something.
Maki looked to the sky. Suddenly it was so interesting.
"I want to battle again but I knew that no one would believe that I wasn't using his bracelet."
"I'm sorry. I am so sorry." Kyuma was looking at your eyes. Well, he was trying to look at your eyes only. "I'm sorry."
"You will battle me or not?"
When Kyuma did nothing, you got closer to him. Blinking your eyes, with a little smile on your face, you watched his eyes fighting to look at the sky. "You such a nice person", you purred. "You don't need to be sorry because you look at me. Clothes are just a social construction, aren't they?"
"I'm not sorry!" Goken shouted. You guess that's the only way he knows to comunicate with others.
"I've noticed", you smiled to him, but your focous was Kyuma. "Don't be so shy. Look at me." When Kyuma did obey, looking deeply into your eyes, you carressed his chest. And the eletric shock made you fall to the ground.
Then they ran. The surprise made the other team slow, they weren't ready to fight back. Dodging them, running towards the base, the three were like lightning. Trembling on the ground, you watched as Arisu touched the base. Then Usagi. But when Kuina was about to touch it, Maki kicked her away
"Really?" Somehow Kyuma was able to shout.
Squirming, you tried hard to answer. "You should know it was a trap."
"Oh my god", Goken laughed. "That was a booby trap!"
"It's a tie", Kuina cried on the floor. "Usagi, run to our base and come back here!"
"You can try" Uta said. She pointed at the big screen. "But can you run to your base and come back here in 3 minutes?"
"Really?" Kyuma shouted again. How could he be so fine? He wasn't even shivering.
"Oh, get over it! It's not my fault you saw a pair of boobs and got distracted." With a lot of effort, you sat down. Arisu run to you, one hand covering his eyes, and took you his shirt. Buttoning it, you stared at him. "I'm going to die and you are mad because I tried to win?"
"Are you covered?" Arisu asked.
"It don't matter", you answered him. "We are going to die. In 3 minutes we are done. I just killed Niragi and what did it change for us? Nothing. Worse: it made us believe we could win. This is it. I gonna die. We gonna die."
"We..." Kuina couldn't move. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't... I should have fought better. I didn't mean to... I'm so sorry."
"I know. We know", Usagi kneeled beside her. "It's not your fault. You tried."
"And now you are going to die!" Holding Arisu in your arms, you were the one crying. "I did everything to protect you and it wasn't enough."
Insteat of crying, Arisu hugged you back. Carressing your head, he was at peace. Arisu knows he did everything he could. That he tried to win with his whole being. And if this is how he is going to die, hugging his sister with the knowlegde that they would die without pain, than so be it.
"You protected me." Arisu whispered. "Since I was a kid. You did everything you could and it was enough. I had a good life. Not a perfect one, but a good one. If I could chose to live this very same life again and again, I would do it."
"We gonna have to deal with them for how long?" Maki asked. "This is embarrassing."
"What about being kind once in your life?" Uta closed her eyes. "Let them cry. One more minute and the game is over."
"Don't be so cruel", Usagi said to her.
"Why aren't you crying?" Kyuma got closer to her.
"I guess I'm just tired" Usagi hold Kuina closer. Whispering to her friend, Usagi felt something hard on her heart. "Tatta will die alone. He must be so scared."
"It's Game Clear to the King of Club's team." The female voice said when the two hours finally ended. "It's Game Over to the players team."
They waited for their death. Your eyes, before wide open, now were closed. Arisu hold you closer to him. Kuina and Usagi shivered against one another. And on the the other side of the labyrinth, Tatta were crying alone. But it never came.
"Do we agree?" Kyuma looked at his team. His hand was up in the air. "In three, two, one..."
All of them raised their hands on the air, and said at the same time: "I vote for the player team."
You opened your eyes. "We died?"
"I don't know", Arisu whispered.
"Congratulations!" Kyuma was so excited that everyone looked at him. And by doing that, everyone saw that Shitara was standing on a corner of the labyrinth. Alive. "Your team was chosen."
"For what?" Usagi feel like throwing up.
"To be trained by us." Kyuma was looking at you. "Welcome home, new citizens."

The way you said “I love you”: On a sunny Tuesday afternoon, the late sunlight glowing in your hair
Gale had had his share of lovers over the course of his life, starting with trysts at Blackstaff Academy with his fellow students, eventually leading to his ill-advised relationship with Mystra. After the goddess had cast him out, he had believed himself to be a man doomed to die alone, courtesy of the orb in his chest. As his studies with the Netherese magic had progressed, leading him no closer to a cure for his affliction, he felt his hope for a better life falter, withering to only faint embers and ashes. And it was nothing less than he deserved, he felt – this was the price he had paid for his hubris.
Being abducted by mind flayers and infected with a parasite, well – that was just proof that the gods, Mystra in particular, wanted him to suffer before he died.
And then he’d met Deviali.
The half-Elf wasn’t the type of woman he would have ever expected himself to go for in his previous life – she was uncouth, and uneducated, and fiery. She bragged about being a pickpocket and thief, claiming there hadn’t yet been a lock that she couldn’t pick. She was sarcastic, and jaded against all the gods, and a little too willing to fight dirty. Gale suspected that if he’d ever encountered her in Baldur’s Gate or Waterdeep before their abductions, she would have seen him as no more than a pocket to be picked (and he hated to admit that she probably would have been very successful in that endeavour).
But the more time he spent in her company, the more he saw her true colours come out. She was compassionate, and cared more deeply about other people than she pretended to – Gale didn’t miss the way that she sat with the pretty tiefling bard, helping her write a song, or offered words of encouragement to Wyll’s fencing students, or argued with the druids about granting the tiefling refugees shelter for a little bit longer. She didn’t hesitate when asked to look for the archdruid, Halsin – Gale wasn’t sure if her eagerness to find the druid was due to her hope that he could cure them from the parasites, or simply for the hope that he could make the other druids see sense in dealing with the tieflings (or perhaps it was just the urge to go kill goblins with abandon? It was hard to tell.).
She was persuasive, talking her way into the goblin camp, or soothingly trying to reassure the dog with its deceased owner that she was a friend, or arguing with one goblin until she rescued an owlbear cub from its cruel torment. She was sneaky, and mischievous, in stealing from the goblins – and later, from the githyanki creche. She was… Gale thought he could chalk it up to ‘pragmatism’ when she shrugged off Shadowheart’s confession of being a Shar worshipper, or Wyll’s admittance of being a warlock bound in a pact with a devil. Even when Gale was on his knees before her, holding her hand on his heart and showing her his terrible folly with the Netherese tome, he wondered if her insistence on keeping him around despite the magical bomb in his chest was simply due to the fact that a trained wizard in their party was useful, volatile and damned as he might be.
Yet the look of anguish in her eyes as she had seen his trauma, and the way she checked in on him every few hours to make sure he was managing the orb as well as he could…
No. He didn’t dare let himself think that it was any more than pragmatism. She just doesn’t want me to erupt and kill us all, he thought. That is self-preservation more than anything else.
But when he took it upon himself to introduce her to the mysteries of the Weave after the tieflings’ celebration at their camp, and saw her desire for him… it was a shock to him. He was a damned man, the rejected Chosen of a goddess, who had to keep an incredibly tight rein on his body and mind, lest the bomb in his chest explode if he got aroused or agitated. He could see the other members of their party seemed to have their eyes on her – Shadowheart and Lae’zel, he knew, were both pretty open about fancying her. And even after his transformation, Wyll was a handsome man, and had a compassionate heart and a sense of justice to compliment Devi’s own morals perfectly.
Yet Gale was the person she imagined herself kissing. Gale, the reject of Mystra, the walking bomb who could detonate at a moment’s notice! Confusion and trepidation warred in his mind before giving way to elation at that realisation – that the woman who could have chosen any partner that she wanted fancied him.
He couldn’t indulge his desire to bed her, of course, not with how volatile the orb was in his chest. But now… now he had a renewed incentive to find a cure for his condition. And while he sought a cure, he thought, he could make the effort to court Devi properly – or at least as properly as he could while on the road (or in the Underdark) with an illithid tadpole in his head. It was a task made all the more difficult with Mystra’s doom laid over his head, despite Devi’s rage at the perceived injustice of it all.
At the least, one positive of Elminster meeting the party on the road was the orb being stabilised. Now Gale could indulge his fantasies of Devi in the privacy of his tent without worrying about if he was going to kill everyone in a wide radius around him. He could flirt with her without danger, beyond the risk of one of their friends rolling their eyes hard enough to strain a muscle in their skulls – and it still amazed him that she flirted back with him just as much.
And when he finally managed to pull her away from everyone in the shadow-cursed lands and took her to bed in the illusions of the Weave, he felt more complete in her arms than he ever had with any of his previous lovers – even Mystra.
Now, as they walked through the sunlight on the road to Baldur’s Gate with the rest of their party, he took the opportunity to openly admire her. She was more than the petite body, red hair, brilliant green eyes, and the piercings and tattoos that she sported. She was kind, and protective, and loyal to a fault to those she cared about.
She paused at the crest of a hill, turning back to look for him among the group, the late afternoon sunlight setting her hair aflame like a beacon. Her eyes lit up when they landed on him; she patiently waited until he got to her side and took her hand in his. “Gods, I love you,” she murmured, setting her free hand on his chest over his heart.
“I love you too,” Gale softly answered, leaning in to chastely kiss her lips. “Any particular reason?”
Devi shook her head. “Just… thinking about how close I came to losing you,” she quietly said. “And how I’m never going to forgive Mystra for what she ordered you to do.”
Gale shook his head and smiled. “You give me a reason to continue living, darling,” he said. “You fought for me when I never expected anyone to do so. I love you beyond what mere words can convey.”
Devi smiled, and rested her forehead against Gale’s for a moment. “We’d best catch up to the others,” she finally said, “otherwise we’re going to be left behind.”
“They wouldn’t abandon us,” Gale responded with a soft laugh. “Considering most of them can barely cook anything, they’ll surely miss us by dinnertime.” Still, he didn’t resist when Devi resumed walking down the road with him, his hand in hers, where it belonged.
No, he might not have looked her way if he had ever encountered her before their adventure – more fool him. But he was, in that moment, grateful for every mistake and upset circumstance that led him to this woman who he loved.

Pinnie I hope done you haven't done this already but if you have, please ignore!
I read your post on the demon triplets with an incredibly oblivious S/O and I just NEED to know how that would go down with Santi, Belo and Patches.
Because they could literally tell me they wanna fuck (even though Belo and Patches would never say it directly) and I would like them or whatever and still be like "OH you're hilarious. Anyways..." Because I am unable to differentiate between a friend joking about that or being dead serious AND ITS THE SAME FOR YOUR OCS (especially Santi I would cackle in his face I need this man so pent up he just takes action)
Santi has dealt with many people who weren't always too suave with their mannerisms. People who didn't want to read between the lines, or couldn't, and he's never had trouble being direct. If Santi loves you, he will tell you that to your face eventually. If Santi wants to fuck you and and his "come hithers" aren't really registering, then he'll just say it too. No shame. Having you respond as if he were joking is beffudling, he may even think you're mockingly rejecting him for a second. Fortunately, he doesn't have to go too far to mend this, or let his frustration make him act out. He'll simply pick a moment where you're aroused, and mention it. You're wet love, he can smell it. What's more, you're wet for him. He'll say it again. He wants to fuck you. Right there. Nothing in his face hints that it's a joke. And then, in that moment where it seems as if things are sinking in for you, he tells you he loves you. Drops those bombs on you.
Belo will be suffering in silence for the majority of time. This will heavily delay most of his confessions, as the power can eventually start to think that you know what he's saying. You know what he means, you just don't accept him. You're trying to gently let him down in your own way, which is very benevolent, but also very embarrassing... But then, in a last ditch attempt, he gets on his knees and professes undying loyalty, endless reverence, eternal servitude, his body is yours, his mind, his soul- ... And you??? Just think he's practicing aimless poetry??? He wants to die right there. So, he shifts his focus. He loves you. Do you love him? He would give his body to you at a moment's notice. Do you want it? If you give a joking answer to those questions, Belo is going to tear his own halo off.
Patches knows better than to get in his own head about it. You are oblivious, he can tell. Wherein he'd usually spend time scheming about important things, he's not spending that time brainstorming about the most sincere and non-humorous displays of love he could do for you. He needs to know how to snap you out of the assumption he's some joker. Do you not know him?? Do you think he's the type to just joke about wanting to fuck you? Wanting to be with you? Sigh. In the end, after a whole lot of searching, making shitty deals, and getting into perilous situations, he manages to get an ancient artifact belonging to seraphim. When someone is in love and looks at their infatuation, it lights up in a bright, almost blinding white. He explains this to you as he holds the priceless amulet and it glows bright enough to make your eyes water (a little too much brightness, shattering the stone within it slightly). Please let this one work, he doesn't know what else to do.
