How To Make A Cheshire Blush
Tumblr media
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
You make it your goal to see Chishiya blush
Fluff - Suggestive
I have known Chishiya Shuntarō for a little over eight months since entering the borderland. In that time I have never seen him flustered… Ever.
How is that even possible? What man could be so calm and collected that nothing makes his cheeks flush the color of strawberries? Not even when facing death does his calmness fade…
I glanced over at Chishiya who was watched the group we teamed up with mild amusement as they betrayed each other one by one. How can they all be so foolish? If only they would put their fears aside and trust one another. Maybe then we could all make it out alive and find out who the Jack of Hearts really is. This entire game was so tiresome. I sighed loudly, earning a glance from Choshiya before he returned his gaze to a man sweating profusely as he told another player their suit.
“We’ve been here for days and it’s so…” I folded my arms on the table, “Boring.” I sighed again as my shoulders slumped.
“Find something to do.” Chishiya had zero interest in my boredom and did nothing to try and entertain me.
It wasn’t his problem nor benefit him, so why should he care?
My attention found its way to the pair, Aba and Kotoko. It seemed that they have been attached to the hip quite literally since the start of the game. Studying them closely, they reminded me of a business looking man and his personal assistant.
I chuckled at the thought of all the drama and scandal they might have caused in the old world, especially if he was high up there. I watched as Kotoko pressed herself even more into Aba’s side while he looked as if he held all the power. For a moment I wondered what it would be like to be just like her. To be someone who didn’t rely solely on herself.
I suppose in a way I have some trust to Chishiya, I considered him my friend. He did treat me as a friend though. I also considered Kuina a friend and I knew she thought the same about me. My mind briefly drifted to her and I hoped that she was doing okay, alive somewhere right now.
My thoughts drifted back to Chishiya. He was cool and highly intelligent, not to mention drop dead gorgeous, but something I wonder if he would sacrifice me for his gain.
“I wonder what that feels like.” I muttered as I placed my chin in the palm of my hand.
“What?” Chishiya took a bite from his own bag of cookies as his attention flicked over to where I was looking, “To be a self righteous prick?”
“No.” I shook my head leaning on my chin, “To rely so heavily on someone to protect you that you don’t learn how to protect yourself.”
“You wouldn’t make it very far with that mentality.” Chishiya muttered, “Luckily, you’re too smart for that.”
I grinned at the small compliment from the Cheshire man. It was rare to hear praise from him even if it was usually mixed with mockery. It was in that moment that my innocent grin turned sly as I thought of the perfect thing that could keep my boredom at bay.
His brows furrowed at my smile, “Quit looking at me like that, it’s weird.”
“What if the only person I knew to keep me safe was you?” My grin turned into a smirk.
“But it isn’t?” His answer came out more of a question as he tried to figure out my plan.
“But what if?” I leaned my weight onto his side, wrapping my arms around one of his, “Would you take advantage of my undying loyalty, Shuntarō?” I could see a blush coat his cheeks and I couldn’t help, but laugh, “Of course you would, you sneaky cat.”
He nudged me off him with a grunt. I leaned closer to make sure I was seeing this right… The Chishiya Shuntarō was in fact, blushing.
“Oh my stars.” I gasped in amusement as I pressed a hand to my heart, “Is that a blush I see, Chishi?”
I did it! I thought as excitement built up inside me. I made him blush!
“No.” He looked away from me.
“I think it is.” I poked his cheek, giggling as I sat back.
My giggling died down as I looked at him. He didn’t say anything, but he seemed flustered. Is it possible that he held some kind of feelings for me?
“Chishi.” I smiled when he looked at me, “You want some?” I held up my strawberry cake roll.
He eyed me and it suspiciously before he gave a simple nod. I opened the package, breaking off a piece for him to try. I shook my head as he reached for it as I brought it up to his lips. He opened his mouth slowly as he took a bite.
“So would that make you a self righteous prick?” I teased quietly as I fed the cake to him.
He rolled his eyes and he leaned back, taking time to chew and see if he liked the cake.
“Way too much strawberry.” He mumbled after he swallowed, but continued to eat the next piece I gave him.
He returned the gesture with his own bag of cookies as we munched on the others snacks.
“I am an asshole.” He spoke without hesitation, “I am not kind. I am manipulative and I do what I must to get ahead. I don’t care about anything so why are you always hanging around me?”
“You are those things, but I think you’re wrong about how you see yourself Chishiya. You are so much more than that. You are kind, to Kuina and to me. You are manipulative, but that just means how intelligent you are in understanding everything. You can solve the hardest puzzle on earth with just a glance. You say you don’t care, but deep down I know that you do. You have just built a wall that is worth climbing because you mean more than anything in the world to me.” I answered softly.
He wasn’t able to respond as the speaker dinged.
“I believe it’s almost time.” I sighed as I looked up at the clock.
My attention turned to Kotoko who grabbed a packet of cookies… The same brand that Matsushita grabbed a few minutes ago.
“Hm…” I hummed watching what would be a meaningless passerby between the two, “Maybe I do have more undying loyalty than Kotoko.”
“Seems so.” Chishiya smirked.
I turned in my seat, brushing my hair away from my collar.
“Heart.” He said and turned so that I could tell him his suit.
“Diamond.” I repeated the symbol I saw.
“Fits us well.” He muttered standing up to begin our journey to our cells.
“Aw does that mean I have your heart Chishi?” I stepped up to him teasingly.
“You have my headache.” He stated before walking into his cell.
I entered the one beside him with a warm feeling creeping in my chest. I think it’s the other way around, I think you have my heart Shuntarō.
“Heart.” I spoke my final answer as I waited to leave the cell.

A/N: Sorry this I took so long to upload school is kicking my ass and I’m sick 😭 also a sentence in here made me think of a sequel, guess which part lol. Also I’m actually sort of happy how this turned out but let me know what you guys think!
Summary: Just some more Chishiya smut. Do y’all sense a pattern of what I post? He might be a little ooc but I tried.
Pairings: Shuntaro Chishiya x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1.1k
Warnings: Smut
Up and down, up and down, up and down.
That’s the only thing going through your mind at the moment. That’s the only thing that can go through your mind at the moment.
Your thighs are so tired, but that coil in your stomach that has been building up is so close to snapping.
Chishiya is lying beneath you, casually holding onto your hips while watching you bounce on his cock while your cunt is tightly squeezing around it.
You’ve been at this for a while. It started with just some lighthearted teasing while you both were in Chishiya’s room at The Beach. But that lighthearted teasing led to you saying you can get off without Chishiya’s help, and now you're regretting your choice of words- and humor.
You let out a choked sob when Chishiya’s cock brushes against that spongy spot inside of you.
“I thought you said you could get off by yourself, didn't you?” Chishiya’s voice cuts through the room.
“ ‘m sorry,” you whine.
The frustration of not being able to cum made tears well up behind your eyes, which are so close to sliding down your face.
Chishiya doesn’t move, of course not. Even if you beg enough you’re not sure he’ll take mercy on you. He’s just watching you amusingly. His lips twitch led up in a small, condescending smile.
“ ‘m sorry, ‘m sorry, please!” You cry out, those tears finally spilling down your flushed cheeks.
Your pace was stuttering, legs too tired to keep the rhythm, and that blissful feeling that was building up soon disappears as you ruin your own orgasm once again.
Your cunt squeezes in desperation and your upper body soon slumps down onto Chishiya’s, both of your naked chests flush together.
You’re still grinding against him, your clit brushing against his pelvis. You can hear how sticky it is down there every time you move.
A desperate whimper leaves your lips when Chishiya lifts his hips slightly, giving more pressure to your sensitive bud while simultaneously pushing his cock deeper in your soaked hole.
“Please,” you whimper out.
The ache between your legs is getting too much to handle. The only things you can think of at this point is Chishiya and having him make you cum.
“Please what?”
The shift of his lower body makes you whine once again. He’s messing with you, you know that, but at this point you don’t care.
“Please make me cum,” you sob, tears still streaming down your face.
Your face was in the crook of his neck so you couldn’t see him, but you could feel the amused snicker vibrate his body.
“Backing out of a challenge so soon?”
All you can do is nod frantically hoping he’ll grant you some mercy. You feel him hum thoughtfully only to feel him tap your sides.
“Up, I’ll help you, but you have to stay in the position you were before.”
Knowing that that’s as far as Chishiya was willing to compromise, you use all your strength to sit back up.
Breathing heavily, you brace your hands on Chishiya’s chest. His eyes remain focused on your face, almost as if he’s entertained by your struggle. Knowing him, he probably is.
Gripping your hips Chishiya steadies you, only to thrust up into your cunt, his cock brushing against your g-spot precisely.
Letting out a broken moan, you lean most of your weight on your hands, only to have Chishiya thrust up again and again and having him hit your g-spot over and over.
Your eyes are unfocused, but you can make you the smug grin covering Chishiya’s face with every thrust. He doesn’t break his pace once, and the only thing coming out of your mouth now is whimpers.
That pool of arousal soon starts building up once again, and god you can’t take it any longer. You can feel every thrust of Chishiya’s cock dragging against your sopping wet walls.
Chishiya could see a white ring forming around the base of his cock, and knowing you're close again, starts to slow down, making you wait for your release even longer.
You let out another sob of frustration, only to hear Chishiya quiet chuckling.
“You didn’t think It’d be that easy did you?”
You knew he wouldn’t just give into you. You knew, yet you still thought that he might’ve given you a little leniency. Apparently not though. He’s stopped his movements and settled for controlling your hips in a slow grind, making sure your clit rubs against his pelvis every time.
“I said I would help, not do all the work.” There was a slight pause before Chishiya continued. “Unless you don’t want to cum?”
That last sentence cut through your foggy mind. You knew he wasn’t playing around. If he wanted to, he could deny you cumming at all. He has before, and he sure as hell would do it again.
So, you slowly begin to bounce on Chishiya’s cock once again. Of course, he follows through with his promise to you, gripping your hips and helping you go up and down like you were previously.
That coil in your stomach was beginning to tighten fastly, the four previous ruined orgasms making you so much more sensitive.
You’re right at the edge, so close you could practically see the bliss that was sure to take over you.
Chishiya’s hand slides up your soaked thigh covered in both of your juices, to your cunt, that is continuously riding his cock. His thumb brushes over your clit once, twice, only the third time he starts rubbing tight circles against it.
Your head falls back, jaw open, as you let out a silently moan. And when Chishiya’s cock hits your g-spot once again, that coil finally snaps.
A shutter racks your body as goosebumps cover your skin. You see white as you cum all over Chishiya’s cock, creaming around it. A euphoric sense passes through you and you don’t think you’ve ever felt this good.
Your body slumps safely onto Chishiya, who was currently helping you ride out your orgasm by continually rubbing your sensitive bundle of nerves.
Coming down finally from you high, you start to whine at the overstimulation, only to be flipped around on your back with Chishiya hovering above you, thrusting shallowly into your sensitive heat.
“You didn’t think we were done did you?”
The feeling of his lips kissing and sucking their way up your neck had you leaning your head back, giving him more access.
Only then does he brush them against your ear and whisper.
“I didn’t even cum yet.”

“Will you get out of my way?” You shove the tall male to the side playfully as you fasten the collar around your neck. Banda’s eyes met yours and you grinned mischievously. “This place remind you of anything?”
“You’re so funny,” he replies blandly. The prison around you is cold and you’re thankful for the cardigan you’ve kept all these weeks. You follow behind Banda as he walks up the stairs, eyes on the floor as you anticipate your newest game. “Jack of Hearts — what are you expecting?”
Thinking the question over briefly, you speak monotonously, “Russian roulette, probably.”
“I wouldn’t be so lucky.”
Eyes are on you both as you walk into the main hallway. A girl in a blue dress catches your attention, then a sweet looking guy in yellow and overalls. Your eyes drop to the floor again as the automated voice goes over the game and the rules. A subtle nudge against your shoulder catches your attention. Banda speaks without moving, “you and me?”
“That’s what I was planning, doofus.”
Your gaze drifts around the room again as people begin to pair up. Banda wanders off, exploring the area you’re locked in indefinitely. A white hood catches your attention, eyes following down their figure until you’re met with analyzing eyes and a familiar smirk. Your lips part, “Chishiya?”
As if he can hear you, the man tilts his head at you before walking off with his chosen group.
Banda has collected a new person to join your duo — the stranger looks you over before grinning shyly. The hair on the back of your neck stands up, distrust crawling up your spine as you smile back. Meeting Banda’s gaze, you knew he was just as wary.
The killer — because that’s what he was in the other world and this one — slinks up next to you slyly. “See anyone you know?”
“Maybe,” you’re looking around once more, observing the way everyone interacts. Inclining your body slightly to the right, your eyes meet Chishiya’s. “Him. We were… together, in the other world. Something our parents agreed on.”
Banda lets out a mischievous snicker before leaning closer to you. “How cute. And he hasn’t come to say hello? Pity.”
You glare his way, wedging your elbow into the right side of his ribcage. The timer goes off then and you scamper over to an empty cell to give your card suit. As you exit your cell, Chishiya is idling in front of you curiously. He sways before speaking, “you know he’s killed people, right?”
“At this point, I haven’t met anyone here who isn’t a murderer.”
The blond hums before his gaze drifts, landing on something over your right shoulder. You know it’s Banda, looming behind you as he usually does. Chishiya looks to you again and speaks before his group comes to collect him. “I look forward to your survival.”
You find yourself in the cafeteria, stuffing snacks into the pockets of your cardigan for later before grabbing a drink and something to eat right then. Banda is sitting against the wall, staring ahead at Chishiya as you sit beside him. A pack of cookies lands in his lap — Banda doesn’t flinch as he peels the snack open and begins to eat it.
“Do you have to stare?” You mumble. Matsushita hadn’t returned from his bathroom break yet and you found relief in his absence. Another chip is placed in your mouth as you glare at Banda  — he was still staring Chishiya’s way. “You have a crush on him or somethin’?”
Before he could answer, a body is slammed next to yours. Looking down, you see a man sweating and crying as another looms over him menacingly. Banda slides up beside you, whispering a small, “lie to him.” in the man’s ear. You look away from them and see Chishiya looking at you again, judgment clouding his eyes as you don’t speak up against Banda.
You grumble, “already startin’ shit and we just got here.”
“The game had to start sometime.”
As time passes, players dwindle slowly until the number hastens. There are only six of you left now — Chishiya’s partner couldn’t handle the pressure of the games, it seemed. Banda and Matsushita tell you your symbol — “club.” — before Banda breaks away from your group. You can feel the former’s eyes on you as you take sips from your drink, unnerving every inch of your skin. He interrupts the silence with a brutal curveball. “He’s lying to you, Banda. Your symbol is spade.”
“Why would he lie to me?”
“Maybe he thinks you’re the Jack,” Matsushita grins. Then he shrugs and leans against the wall beside you. “Or maybe he’s the Jack and is just trying to get rid of you. Who knows.”
You hum, tilting your head playfully. Of course you don’t believe him — strangely, you hadn’t doubted Banda since you got here. “What a waste. After we stayed allies for so long, he’d choose to get rid of me now?”
Matsushita’s eyes widen briefly at the new information before he snickers. “What a waste, indeed. Guess he doesn't cherish your friendship after all.”
Walking away from the liar, you find yourself alone in the cafeteria. Well, you thought you were alone — Chishiya announced himself by reaching beside you for a pack of crackers. “Running around without your guard dog now, hm?”
“You can't talk,” you respond. “All alone, lingering around here like a ghost. Spooky.”
Your back is to the shelf of food as Chishiya begins to crowd your space. He hums while pouting his bottom lip, looking everywhere but you. “How’d you end up with Banda anyways? You were on your way to meet me.”
“We made a deal,” you shrug. By the tilt of your voice and raise of your eyebrows, Chishiya knows you’re lying. He stands quietly, taking one step closer to you. “Okay, fine. I threatened him and demanded we team up.”
“Of course you threatened a murderer.” Chishiya lets out a laugh just as the five minute warning echoes around the prison. He tugs on the cardigan you’re wearing, eyes softening at the sight of the worn fabric. “Think this is mine.”
“It might be,” you push off of the shelf and side-step the blond. You catch a glimpse of Chishiya’s symbol and are opening your mouth before you can think. “It’s diamond, by the way. Your suit.”
“Yours is club.” You nod in confirmation and it piques Chishiya’s interest. “Someone tell you different?”
“Matsushita tried to say Banda was lying to me. But, Banda knows better,” you glare. “I’ll break his kneecaps if he tries to kill me.”
Chishiya’s quiet laugh seems to echo in the desolate cell. It’s all you can think about — all you can remember as your fingers dance along the knit cardigan you’re wearing. After this — if you survive this game — you want to go home. You want to go back with Chishiya and watch that movie you were supposed to meet at.
It’s no surprise to see Matsushita being cornered by the three others. He did freak you out  — and he tried to get you killed. You eye his frightened expression lifelessly before speaking. “Can we take those snacks downstairs with us? I ran out of food a few days ago.”
— BONUS —
You’re sitting beside Chishiya’s hospital bed as the news begins. Absent-mindedly, you hand him a slice of the fruit you were eating as the news reporter begins to speak. A picture of a convict pops up along with the news story. “...Banda is still missing. We are asking everyone to be cautious and be safe. We’ll have the week’s weather up next.”
“You know…” you narrow your eyes at the picture of the man. Something about him looks familiar — it sends a tingle of awareness through your mind the longer you stare. “I think I could take that guy in a fight.”
Chishiya turns his head to you stiffly, furrowing his eyebrows. “He’s a serial killer, [name].”
You shrug, “I could do it.”

❛CONFESSIONS.❜ | alice in borderland characters
genre: FLUFFFLUFFFLUFF <333
warnings: NONE I THINK!!
sypnosis: headcanons of alice in borderland characters confessing to you.
author's note: did i disappear after just one aouad imagine then appear again with an alice in borderland obsession? yes i did. 😁😁😁😁 !not proofread!
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
ryohei arisu
RYOHEI ARISU WOULD BE HEAD OVER HEELS FOR YOU. ONLY YOU.
he's definitely that kind of person to hide his feelings because he's scared of rejection
so that means he's the type to not make the first move at all CONSIDERING HE'S A SHY BB!!!!!!!
BUT BUT BUT HE'LL PROBABLY GROW FED UP OF YOU NOT GETTING THE HINT OF HIS UNDYING LOVE FOR YOU
SO IT WOULD LEAD TO HIM FINALLY CONFESSING AAAAAAAAAAA
arisu would probably be anxious the whole time 😭😭😭😭 like shaking, sweaty palms, stuttering, uncontrollable laughter, etc
HE WOULD PROBABLY CONFESS AT A PICNIC OR SOMETHING SIMILAR <333
he would try his best to cook all of your favorite foods even though he sucks at cooking💪💪
he would buy a bouquet of your favorite flowers!!!!!!!!
OH AND HE WOULD ALSO WRITE A LETTER WHERE HE PUTS 100 FUCKING REASONS WHY HE LOVES YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
he's the type to prepare cue cards because he know he would fumble while he confesses
LIKE HE PROBABLY PREPARED A WHOLE ASS SPEECH BUT THERE WOULD BE A MOMENT WHEN HE JUST STARES AT YOU AND REALIZE HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU WHICH KIND OF LEADS HIM TO JUST SAYING A SIMPLE "i love you"
yuzuha usagi
YUZUHA USAGI WOULD ONLY HAVE YOU AS HER WEAKNESS.
she's someone who has always been fearless, bold, and etc🙀🙀🙀 SO WHEN SHE STARTS TO HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU, OFC SHE FEELS CONFLICTED OR CONFUSED
probably because she's strong and you making her flustered meant her downfall😁😁
she wasn't complaining though
USAGI WOULDN'T TAKE LONG TO CONTEMPLATE HER FEELINGS FOR YOU THO
if she liked you, then she liked you :)))
AND SHE WOULDN'T BE SCARED OF CONFESSING AT ALL BUT SHE WOULD STILL HAVE HER DOUBTS
doubts that chased her every time she went for a run or climbed a mountain‼️‼️‼️
SHE WOULD PROBABLY BRING YOU TO HER FAVORITE MOUNTAIN BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP
AND SHE WOULD INVITE YOU TO SIT ON THE GROUND AS THE SUN CRACKS LIKE AN EGG YOLK IN THE SKY
she won't even realize that you have already lied your head against her shoulder
AND THAT'S WHAT TRIGGERS HER TO SAY SHE HAS FEELINGS FOR YOU
shuntaro chishiya
chishiya is chishiya. self explanatory. <3
HE WOULD BE IN DENIAL FOR THE LONGEST TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
he will not want to accept the fact that he fell for someone since he has the master manipulator factors and all💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
but you were an exception ;)))
he would practically go from being a logical person to a carefree one for you LIKE HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THINGS WHEN HE'S WITH YOU BECAUSE YOU MAKE HIM FORGET THINGS WORTH WORRYING (and as much as he hates to admit you make him happy)
he would act cold, tease you 25/8 just to cover up the fact he has feelings for you
HE WOULD PROBABLY CONFESS BY HIDING ENVELOPES THAT HELD RIDDLES OR CLUES FOR YOU TO FIND
AND THOSE ENVELOPES WOULD LEAD YOU TO WHERE YOU FIRST MET
he knew you were clever enough to solve them :)
he would stand there waiting while he was wearing a suit that made him itch (BUT HE WOULD REMEMBER THE TIME YOU SAID MEN IN SUITS WERE ATTRACTIVE)
he would also have shampooed and conditioned hair for effort🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
AND A SIMPLE "i may or may not have feelings for you" WOULD HAVE SUFFICED AS HIS CONFESSION
hikari kuina
YOU WOULD BE HIKARI KUINA'S SOFT SPOT.
she would be too scared to be rejected by you because she didn't want to ruin your friendship
but she would still be confident on confessing #kuinathingzzzzzz
PROBABLY BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO PROVE SHE WAS BRAVE-
SHE WOULD CONFESS BY CHALLENGING YOU
LIKE SHE WOULD INVITE YOU TO FIGHT HER FOR 5 ROUNDS BECAUSE SHE TOLD YOU SHE HAD A SECRET THAT YOU COULD ONLY FOUND OUT IF U WON AGAINST HER.
spoiler: she loses to you on purpose because she knows how much you hate losing😍😍😍😍
SHE LOVED WINNING BUT SHE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU TO HAVE A SMILE ON YOUR FACE
her being the reason for a smile on your face made her weak🙏🙏🙏🙏
she would also give u a prize for winning <333
EITHER A RING, A NECKLACE, OR A BRACELET
AND SHE WAS THE ONE TO MAKE THEM BY HAND WITH BEADS
although it frustrsted her, she knew it would make you smile
"i love you . . . like so much."
suguru niragi
admit it. suguru nigari will not catch feelings for anyone at all.
unless it's you ofc😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏
BUT HE HATED THE FEELING
HE HATED HOW MUCH HE GREW FOND OF YOU
HE HATED HOW YOU MADE HIM BLUSH, FEEL BUTTERFLIES FLUTTERING IN HIS STOMACH, GROW A SMIRK INTO A SMILE, AND MORE.
he would also be confused about his feelings since he's niragi😆😆😆😆
LET'S BE HONEST BECAUSE THIS MAN IS STUBBORN ASF AND WILL NOT CONFESS AT ALL.
he would probably drop big ass hints to wait for you to confess
BUT YOU WOULDN'T GET ANYTHING WHICH CAUSES HIM TO BE ANNOYED
AND SOON ENOUGH
"fuck it, i like you, dumbass."

Intimate Mornings
Chishiya Shuntaro x GN!Reader
REQUESTED? [Yes] • No
REQUEST: Hi could I request domestic moment with chishiya, like hdcs or anything idc, im a slut for this man and I need domestic moment with him ☹️👍 (the brainrot is very real)
WORD COUNT: 771
SUMMARY| Mornings with Chishiya had always been your favorite, especially after a rough game.
Adm Note: I’m back after a year, I might be a little rusty. I did not specify what the reader looked like or any pronouns! Everyone is included. <3
Tumblr media
Sunlight broke through the blue skies with beams of light, peaking through the window to give false loving caresses to the skin of your lovers face, like it was trying to make you envious of the ethereal glow that encapsulates him. Chishiya slept peacefully beside you, his arm slung loosely over your waist, his face didn't hold its usual coldness; a mask he carefully crafted together from hardened clay to protect himself.
Without much thought to your actions you pulled your hand from where it laid motionless under the blanket, taking the physically clean hand and running it through his messy locks of hair. You often wondered if every touch you gave him darkened his soul, the soul that shimmered such a vibrant gold it could blind you.
Where as your soul laid withered up, being cloaked by the shadows lingering in your mind, tormenting you with memories of the things you have done to survive in the borderlands. Crimson stains washed away down the shower drain like it was nothing but dirt spread across your skin.
His hair was soft, like how you imagined clouds to feel as a child. It was familiar and warm to your touch, like an old soul greeting you upon your death, lighting you up with a sense of complete wholeness.
Slowly your hand moved from its place where you were daring to dance your fingers through each piece and wondering if you would turn to gold from touching the hair upon his head.
Trailing down his cheek you relish in the warmth rolling off his skin in waves, a frown pulling at the corner of your lips as you notice a cut along the crown of his forehead, not deep enough to need stitches but it would need to be cleaned.
Running your thumb softly along the cut, a sigh crawled it’s way out of your throat with ragged claws tearing into your windpipe, mindlessly beating against your voice box. “Chishiya…” You whispered, getting no response you tried again to awaken your slumbering boyfriend.
“Chishiya.” Your voice was louder, causing him to stir, his eyes fluttering open at the feeling of being looked at so tenderly. A small sleep filled smile was shot your way, making your heart thud wildly against your rib cage.
Pressing a kiss to the corner of his lips you wordlessly got up, ignoring a whining protest from Chishiya that tugged at your heart strings; he always had been clingy when he was tired.
Entering the bathroom you grabbed a wash cloth, letting the cold water seep through the fabric and pool onto your fingertips before the droplets slid down your hands back into the sink.
Opening the cabinets you grabbed a bandage, rubbing alcohol, and the ointment. Hearing a soft shuffle, that alerted you to the fact your boyfriend was on the move, you moved to the doorway.
“Nuh-uh, lay back down. You’re injured and have five days on your visa.” You made your way over to his side of the bed, sitting down hesitantly beside him. You took care of the bigger injuries last night, including the huge gash along his side from a flying piece of metal.
As gently as you could, you pushed Chishiyas shoulders back, having him leaning against the headboard of the bed. Shifting carefully as to not bother his stitches.
Chishiya rolled his eyes at you being so careful, a yelp of surprise escaping you as two hands pulled you into his lap in a straddling position. “Chishiya! I could have hurt you.” You weren’t normally one to complain about sitting on your boyfriends lap, especially if it’s in the privacy of your own room, but you didn’t want to irritate or reopen his wound.
Chishiya let out what sounded like an annoyed clicking with his tongue “You didn’t hurt me, if anything being this close with you makes me feel better.” Your insides melted at his words, despite him not being the best with emotions they always managed to make you a puddle in his hand.
A soft smile crossed your lips, unable to hold back the warmth that spread throughout your chest, how could you when he looked at you like you crafted every star in his name? Like you shaped every galaxy and creature just to cure his loneliness?
You softly brushed his hair away from the cut, dabbing the wet cloth to clean the dried up blood that escaped and now painted dried ponds on his skin. You know soon enough you will both have to get up, but for now you will soak up the small moments.

— GUNS AND SPADES
chishiya x gn!reader | ? words
genre: established relationship, slight angst
warnings: s2 spoilers, shooting, guns, blood, death, mentions of fainting, kinda spoilers for chishiya’s past, aib stuff… badly written might edit later idk
synopsis: Surviving in the Borderlands was something you’d been forced to get used to. Getting shot at for absolutely no reason when no game was ongoing was something else entirely.
author’s note: thank you for requesting! hope you like it!! to be honest i struggle with writing about chishiya this way a bit so this isn’t nearly as good as i wanted it to be. also i have no idea where i was going with this. nevertheless i hope it’s nice to read!
Tumblr media
The sound of shots was clear. People scrambled around Shibuya Crossing, running for their lives without a care for one another’s. When faced with Death, people showed their true selves— Or whatever.
It would seem that, as per usual, your true self in this situation was to start running away before cursing at Chishiya and pulling him so he’d follow. Sure, he would start running eventually either way, but he certainly took his time.
“Chishiya, seriously.” you scoffed.
Thus the run began.
Arisu, Usagi, Kuina, you, and Chishiya were all lined up hiding behind an underground subway’s stairs entrance, crouching behind the wall and checking through the glass for the unknown shooter.
“Is this a game? Where are the rules?” Usagi exclaimed through panicked breaths. Arisu shook his head immediately.
“There’s nothing. This is just mass murder.”
“Seriously.” you mumbled, checking through the glass, “More people are coming this way. We should get moving.”
You all started running away in a group before realizing there was no point. Arisu yelled at everyone to split up and you all did. Running through a crowd of scared people, all confused and fearing for their lives— It was never a good feeling.
“Ah!”
Especially when some were too rushed in their run and tripped over, resulting in you falling along with them.
“I’m sorry!” the man yelled, scrambling to get up.
You laughed dryly, jumping up to your feet with ease. “You should be.” you breathed out, before ducking and running to the nearest corner. You turned and ran and avoided people and ran and it felt like hours of your breathing getting progressively worse and more heavy before you finally ran into a familiar face.
“[name]!” Kuina exclaimed, stopping in her tracks before you two could run into each other, “Come with me!”
She grabbed your wrist and ran to a car nearby, quickly pulling you to sit down behind it along with her. You exhaled a heavy sigh, your chest heaving up and down and your head spinning.
“You look tired.” a familiar voice spoke casually. You lifted your head up only to see Chishiya look at you with an easy smile, waving his hand from his seat on Kuina’s other side. You deadpanned.
“Yeah. And you don’t.” you scoffed, “Are you two okay?”
“I’m surprised I don’t have a single wound, honestly.” Kuina sighed, head hitting the car’s door in exhaustion, “Seriously, what the fuck is going on?“
You glanced at Chishiya and he gave you a slight nod, affirming that he was okay. You nodded back before looking over your shoulder. “There’s people on the other side of the road. Usagi and Arisu, I think.”
Kuina furrowed her eyebrows before moving her head to the side, signaling you to move over and switch places with her. You did, as discreetly as possible, and let her check whatever it is she wanted to. Chishiya waved two fingers in front of your face and brought your attention to him.
“You good?”
“Yeah.” you sighed, “Just tired. I knew things weren’t over but I expected a little break after the hell that went down at the Beach, at least.”
“The hell continues, I guess.” he said casually, smiling.
You could only sigh.
“You have to stay focused if you don’t wanna die!” Kuina suddenly yelled. You looked over to her and jumped at the sound of shooting right at the road the car you were hiding behind was parked on. Chishiya grabbed your shoulder to pull you back when he did, only relaxing when the shots stopped. Kuina scoffed, “Where the fuck are they shooting from?”
Just as she sat back down properly, an airship of sorts appeared over everyone, creating a looming shadow that did nothing to reassure the players. Chishiya hummed. “The King of Spades.”
“Great.” you commented. There were probably hundreds of pieces of fabric tied together to form a giant King of Spades card floating in the sky, attached to the bottom of the airship. You wondered just how much more of this hell you would have to go through before you could return to the comfort of the hell you knew. The normal world.
Chishiya leaned forward and handed Kuina something. It looked like a can and… Oh. You’d seen him make this back at the Beach one day. He’d made three. They were small bombs but they could definitely help out if you ever needed it. His words. He handed you one as well and you inspected it. “Here you go. A good luck charm.”
“What’s this? A bomb?” Kuina asked.
“Use it when you’re in a pinch.” he said casually.
“You have questionable hobbies, Chishiya.” you hummed, spinning the object in your hand before putting it in your jacket, “Thank you.”
“I second that. Thanks.” Kuina chuckled.
The sound of shots rung in the air as well as several running footsteps along with it. You checked Kuina’s side and saw Arisu and Usagi hide behind the car directly next to yours— Just a few meters away. Kuina tilted her head, “Are you hurt?”
“Did you seriously stop to try and save someone?” you followed after glancing at the dying boy they’d seemingly carried all the way there, and Arisu looked at you with wide eyes, before looking away and grimacing. Nothing new, you thought.
Shots fired again but the sound didn’t drown out the clear, loud honking of a car. You thought you’d imagined it, honestly, because logically speaking there was no reason for anyone to not only show themselves so obviously with a moving car but also announce themselves by honking.
Yet when the entire group looked over to the road there was, indeed, a car waiting. Ann and Tatta. Your eyes widened. “What?”
“Hurry up! Get in!” Tatta yelled.
Usagi and Arisu were the first to run into the car, closely followed by Kuina. Chishiya, irritating as he could get, refused to take his hands out of his pockets to run. You were a bit behind, careful, and caught up to him quickly. “What part of hurry up are you missing?!” you exclaimed.
Chishiya stopped and stared at the ground. You were about to question why he wasn’t going into the car despite standing right in front of it but followed his gaze.
A grenade.
“This is bad. Run!” he instantly yelled, pulling you back and moving to start running away, “Get going! Drive!” he told Tatta, knowing there was no point in risking getting into the car anymore.
“[name]!” Usagi yelled.
Kuina seemed just as worried, “Chishiya!”
The sound of their voices were quickly drowned out when your head hit the hard concrete of the sidewalk as you and Chishiya jumped as far away as possible from the bomb. The explosion went off before your senses could start coming back and just as the car started driving away. You covered the sides of your head with your arms and felt Chishiya’s arm wrap around them.
Everything was spinning. For a moment, you weren’t sure you were alive. Then Chishiya’s voice brushed that thought away.
“We have to move.” he tried to speak over all the noise. You nodded faintly and got up on your feet to the best of your ability, before running away with him— Bullets following you closely.
To Chishiya, this would’ve been fine if you hadn’t been there.
If he had been alone during that shooting, even including the part where he fails to get in the car because of a grenade— it would all have been fine because Chishiya Shuntaro is used to dealing with whatever hellish cards the Borderlands hand him. But that’s where the problem lies;
You’re there.
Chishiya met you before the cruelty of the reality of the world stripped him of his empathy— Forced him into the stoicism of a person suppressing their own emotions. He met you before his job ruined a part of him, and his feelings seemingly didn’t waver one bit at that. The importance of your wellbeing had been something he cared about before but even with attempts at erasing his emotions he couldn’t erase the quickening pace of his heartbeat if he heard you weren’t doing well.
Chishiya made the mistake of letting himself fall for someone back in college (though he claims fall is too ridiculous) and now has to deal with the pains of feeling like he needs to protect said person. You were good at dealing with things yourself, too— Sure, but that didn’t mean anything to the instinctive worry that held him by the throat.
So he watches you, unconscious due to the amount of things that happened in a few seconds, lying on the ground of some empty apartment complex— With something anyone could easily mistake as disdain. It used to be easy dealing with complicated things when he was alone. He was also sure playing games would be so much more simple if you weren’t by his side. All he would have to care for would be his own survival and that would just be it. Now he had to fear Heart games and count you into every calculations he made to get himself out of a deadly game of chess.
It was almost infuriating how much you unconsciously forced him into changing his ways, even after all these years. He figured that was just how things went when you loved someone.
When you shift in your sleep and start sighing, eyes slowly blinking to force yourself awake, Chishiya doesn’t feel the smile form on his lips. “You’re lucky we found this place before you decided to pass out.”
“My God.” you grumbled, sitting up with some effort. “Have you just been sitting there? I’m surprised. Were you watching over me, or something?”
Even in situations like this, you just didn’t miss an opportunity to try and tease him. It’s not like it ever worked, but the attempts were amusing.“You weren’t out for that long.” he spoke as calmly as usual, “Sleep fine?”
“I dreamt of fireworks at Shibuya.” you said, and your voice dropped to a silent low. The shift from casual to slight anxiousness was barely noticeable, but very obvious to Chishiya. You cracked your neck and stretched. “Guess my head decided to make people yelling and loud sounds seem more happy than how it really was.”
“At least your mind’s version of the events that just transpired is less disturbing and nightmarish. Glad to know you slept well.” he said, pushing himself up to stand. “We should check the game nearby. I don’t like the idea of us standing there waiting.”
“Less chances of getting shot by that Kind of Spades, I guess.” you sighed, following him to stand up, “Just as many to get killed, though.”
Chishiya held his hand up and you looked at it, then at him, and a small smile pulled at your lips. You high-fived him and then you both wrapped your fingers around the other’s hand.
“Not if I’m there.” he claims, smirking a little. You scoff lightly and Chishiya knows you feel slightly better. It’s enough for now. The feelings of anxiety are pushed back far away enough for you to focus during games. Enough for you to play properly and keep yourself alive. Chishiya nodded a bit, “Let’s get going.”
“Alright.” you tightened your hold on his hand and you both walked towards the game near where you were staying at— Steeling yourselves for whatever the Borderlands had prepared for you.

He thought giving you a few hours of space would be the best choice so you could cool your head after the heated argument. Much to ARISU's horror, he no longer found your pillow on your side of the bed along with the blanket, his pillow left all alone on the bed.
"Hey" he murmurs, standing behind you even though he knew you wouldn't face him. "I didn't mean anything I told you earlier. I'm sorry." He says.
"Shouldn't have said anything in the first place then." You replied back, removing the couch cushions and replacing it with your pillow.
"Come back to bed now, will you?" He asks, enveloping his arms around your chest, resting his chin on top of your shoulder. "I won't be able to sleep with you. Apart from that, let's talk it out while cuddling in bed, sounds good?"
"What you're doing is really ridiculous and childish." CHISHIYA begins to say, watching you create your own makeshift bed on the couch, annoyed at the fact that despite his multiple attempts to get you to sleep with him in the room, you wouldn't back down.
"Oh really?" You questioned, slipping inside the blanket before laying down, turning your back on him. "The last thing I wanted was for you to call me ridiculous and childish. So, good night!" You bid, closing your eyes afterwards. Hoping that he would leave you alone.
Though you had your eyes closed, you could hear his footsteps on the floor, walking around to turn off the lights in the living room and then slipping himself inside the blanket behind you. Wait what?
"I know you're not asleep yet." He whispers, placing an arm on top of yours, sliding down so he could hold your hand and intertwine his fingers with yours.
"I want to let you know that I'm sorry."
"Babe, she was just a co worker!"
"Didn't looked like only a co worker to me, Suguru."
NIRAGI shuddered upon hearing you address him with his first name. You would always call him any sweet endearment your pretty little head could think of, but never his first name. So upon hearing you call him that, he knew he is doomed.
"Are you going to be for real? I already promised you that I'll put a pillow between us, that I won't cross that line, nor even snore and hog the blanket!" He fires back, placing his hands on top of his hips before raising his hands up besides his head.
"Whatever. Suit yourself." He says, walking away and back into the room you both shared.
Later on that night, you had hoped that Niragi would come for you, beg for you to come back into the room and sleep with him, but he didn't. And so with a heavy heart, you slept.
But the real surprise came in the morning when you found Niragi sleeping on the floor, a pillow under his head while his arms are crossed over his chest.
"I'm going to sleep on the couch tonight. I want to be alone."
Those words that escaped your lips earlier made KARUBE shiver. Arguments rarely happened between the two of you but this one is the first - a first of raising your voices at each other while pointing fingers, putting the blame on either.
Though his mind is clouded with anger earlier, he never meant the words he threw at you. In fact, he hated himself for calling you such names. And now he's found himself laying down behind you on the couch, slipping underneath the blanket.
"I'm sorry, baby." He whisper apologizes, placing a kiss on your shoulder before wrapping his arms around you. "Never meant anything I told you."
"I know, baby." He heard you reply, placing your hands on top of his.
"Let's go to sleep now, yeah? It's cold out here so I'll make sure you're warm."

— ☆ Deja Vu !
chishiya shuntaro x gn!reader
Tumblr media
summary; the patient you're looking after looks very familiar, almost as if you've known him for a lifetime. notes; i love making y/n a doctor/nurse in my fics (i'm projecting) taglist; lmk if u wanna be on it !
Tumblr media
'If we ever get back, what do you think you're gonna do?' you asked, a simple question yet the answer to it was still unclear to you.
'I am already a surgeon so...' Chishiya responded after a moment. Though his face was covered by the darkness of the night, you could still see his smirk.
'No! I meant like... with your life,' you replied, 'like if I ever went back, I think I'd finally live my life, the way I want to live it.'
Tumblr media
Being a nurse wasn't easy, it was even worse when many, many people got hit by a meteorite in one of the most busiest cities of Japan, you included.
Your injuries weren't as fatal as the many other patients and the day after you got discharged from the hospital, you were called back in to resume your job. Your injuries included a broken wrist and a few minor scars across your body.
The patients you were assigned were two young men, both of whom had suffered the same fate as you but their injuries were far worse than yours. One of them had various burn scars across his body and the other had terrible chest problems.
3 days after you resumed your job, the patient with ashy-gray hair was ready to leave as most of his injuries had been healed.
Though, you never communicated with the gray-haired man, there was something familiar about him. His facial features felt all too familiar, like you had seen him before or maybe it was just deja vu. You were very grateful that most of the time, he was asleep so he couldn't ever see you curiously examining his features.
The first time you ever talked with him was when you informed him of his release. It was also the first time you ever heard him talk. That feeling of comfort and familiarity was always present when you were near him.
'-please take caution however and if you feel pain in your chest, specifically...' As you explained to the patient about his now improved physical state, you couldn't help but notice his dark eyes fixate on you. His head was turned slightly to the side as he listened to your explanation. Though, you were unsure if he was actually listening to you or not.
'Do I know you?' he spoke at last, his voice was cold yet there was an odd sense of comfort in them; his voice sounded so soft.
'I don't think so?' your reply came out as more of a question than a response. He nodded, 'You were there? During the meteorite?'
'Yeah...' you trailed off as your eyes glanced at your injury for a moment. 'And they're still making you work?' He asked with an eyebrow raised.
You shook your head, confirming his statement.
You both stood silent for a few moments, he was propped up on his bed while you sheepishly stood there, toying with your uniform.
'Y'know, you really do look familiar to me, it's like we've met before but I don't know where,' you spoke, breaking the silence. 'It wasn't just me, then,' he said but it sounded as if he was saying it to himself than you.
Taking a gulp, you finally asked him: 'My shift ends in an hour, so what if we go visit the local coffee shop if you're interested, that is,'
He smiled - it wasn't a smirk but an actual, genuine smile, 'I'd like that.'

Note
I read your most recent post and am deeply sorry for this ask..
Could you maybe write chishiya x reader fluff? Like it's cuddles and words stuff like that?
"scoot over."
show: alice in borderland
character: chishiya shuntaro
summary: after a hard game, you decide to unwind. the hatter throws another party, but chishiya is only interested in finding out why you weren't attending.
warnings: g/n! reader, they/them pronouns used, second person pov
a/n: no amount of apologies could atone to your mistake. (im joking, thank you for the request, i hope you enjoy!!)
"well done." you hear your assigned partner for the last game, ann, say to you. she pats your back gently, fixing her sunglasses on her nose. "only a handful of cards left now."
you sigh out, craning your neck to relieve some tension, "thanks, ann. you too, you were great. i just can't wait to leave this place..."
she didn't know whether you speaking about the borderlands or the beach. the place was always loud and cheerful, and while that was a nice change in pace for the world they were in, sometimes somebody just needed some good peace and quiet.
but ann only removes her hand from your back, walking off towards her room. "i understand. get some rest."
a silent 'thank you' is said as you walk pass the atrium, looking down the hallway to see the crowds of people and hatter presenting the card you had just won and returned. everyone cheered, music starting up again as hatter claims another party is to be thrown.
to the beach! grab your towels and find some booze! it's time to celebrate another win!
you see the other executives standing behind him, nodding their heads and following to the party. but instead of joining, you rub your face and stifle a yawn. your room was further from the pools, so you could have some quiet.
sweat dripped down your back and you pull the collar of your summer shirt, trying to blow some cold air down your chest. why did the game have to be held in an open field, with no shade, while it was scorching hot. it's a wonder how ann managed to look so put together in such heat.
reaching your room was a safe haven, and you closed your door to flop onto your bed with ease. the promptly grabbed the remote and turned on the air conditioning, sighing dreamily at how the cold air hit your hot skin. it was almost too good to be true, how the electricity was still on. they hadn't checked on the generator in a while.
it isn't long until you hear the faint laughter and music coming from the party. it was a normal occurrence at this point, and you were glad that not many people partied inside the hotel. it gave you time to close your eyes and get into a comfortable position to sleep in.
there's a whisper of knocks at your door.
"who is it?" you groan, wiping your eyes.
the person replies, "astroboy."
you sit up, running fingers through your hair as you retort, "come in." chishiya marches through the door, closing it behind him. he crosses his arms over his chest as he studies you. "what do you need?"
"i just came by to congratulate the winner of the last game." he states, watching you crawl back under the first thin layer of blanket on your double bed, "the eight of clubs. always knew you were the trusting type."
with your back to him, you talk, "i trust you, don't i? that's risky enough."
"ann told us that you were the leader in that game. i'm impressed." chishiya compliments, coming closer and picking up the small teddy keychain on your beside table. you had found a ball machine and a broken one, so using the coins from that, you won yourself a blue teddy keychain. chishiya told you to just get them all, but you said one was enough. "i thought you would be down there celebrating with everyone else."
you shake your head, yawning, "i'm too tired to go out there. i'm staying in my room for the night to sleep."
"oh, is that so?" he hums, putting the keychain down, "i'm the same. i can't be bothered watching them out there in this weather. it's agonising."
you nod your head in agreement, laying on your back. chishiya was always a nice guy that you were close with. he was sarcastically smart and sometimes got on your nerves. he was lucky you were so fond of him, he would've been kicked out of here if it weren't for that.
"wanna' stay?" you ask, looking to the ceiling.
"with you?" he mumbles.
"no, we'll do a room swap—yes with me, idiot." you grumble out, turning around again.
chishiya grins at your tone before muttering, "scoot over."
you do so. it's silent for two seconds before he does lay beside you. you can feel the heat radiating off him, so close that chishiya could see the hair blowing in your face from the air conditioning.
"what's wrong?" he asks, looking to the back of your head. you reply that 'it's nothing', but chishiya isn't buying it. "you usually at least stop by at every one of these parties. common courtesy for you. are you that tired?"
you don't say anything to him at first, but then, you turn around and lock eyes with the blonde. chishiya is on his back, he sees how you knit your brows in irritation.
"do you miss home?" you question, playing with the blanket, "our real home?"
"of course, who doesn't? these games dwindle our numbers and we don't even know why we're here." chishiya states, looking unbothered by what he said, "it's a fascinating world, though."
"it's a prison." you mumble into the blanket. your knee nudges his thigh, and chishiya lays a hand on the pillow, in between the both of you. staring at his fingers, you reach out and put your palm over his, gently. "i miss home."
"what was your home like?" he questions, eyed tracing your every breath.
"it was quieter than here. i used to cook with the tv going on in the background so it didn't sound like i was alone and that somebody was in the other room watching." you claimed, closing your eyes for a second, "but it was also really nice being by myself. my friends used to take me out all the time because i was a 'homebody'. all i had was work and home."
chishiya chuckles, brushing fingers over your knuckles, "that was just like me. i only had my work. and i worked at the hospital more than i spent time at home. my apartment was a good walk away, so i saw no point, y'know?"
you let out a hum, staring at your hands, "if we lived together, we'd barely see each other."
he smiles softly, nodding once. "i guess you're right."
"but it's still nice living by yourself. cooking for one, cleaning for one." you comment, suddenly missing your bedroom and your living room and kitchen. all that you were surrounded by before. "i've never spent a whole lot on groceries either, only as much as i needed. you don't need to do more than yourself. and there's nobody else to worry about..."
you were so tired. you missed being able to sleep in and not having to go to bed early because you had a death-defying game to play the next day. you missed not having to think about your life to intricately. you missed your actual life.
"you wouldn't have to worry about me." chishiya says, and your eyes open to see the blonde looking back at you with certainty. his hand clutches yours warmly. "i wouldn't make you worry."
"you promise?" you ask quietly, knitting your brows.
"if you want me to." he tells you. your brows upturn. "i promise."
chishiya was the most normal thing about your life right now. someone who just likes to see you around every now and again. more often than he'd like to admit. but he was so warm and considerate.
a swift movement of yours has arms around chishiya's neck, hugging him close to your chest as your bury your face into his hair. he lets out a small huff at the action before hands rest on your hips, snaking to around your waist. the blanket nearly covers all of chishiya, and he feels your hot skin shiver twice before calming down. he rubs your back gently as your shoulders relax.
"when we get back, you'll find me?" you ask, hopeful.
he can hear your heartbeat grow faster. "you will." he responds.
"tell me about your life?" you request.
he hums, leaning back and facing the ceiling again. you scoot closer, keeping an arm stretched across his chest and laying your head on his shoulder. "med student. i work with patients requiring transplants and people on waiting lists, but i'm an all round." he explains, "my apartment is of decent size. i have a spare bedroom that i keep all extra storage in. my study is filled. i have to say, it is nice living alone."
you nod your head, and chishiya goes on, "i usually get breakfast on the way to work; just one sugar and a quarter milk, or sometimes i just get black coffee with two sugars." he can tell you're only half listening, from the way you're playing with the strings of his jacket. but he doesn't mind. "on my breaks, i go to this takeout place across from the hospital. they sell my favourite meat buns, i always buy at least two."
he taps your back, twice you note. and you look up at him. "when we get out of here, remind me to show you." he says, "it can be our spot."
you stare at him for a while before nodding slowly. "yeah... okay."
he leans down to press a kiss to the crown of your head, muttering back with she unknown knowledge, "you'll come find me one way or another."

aaaaa since i see you're taking requests i'll leave a little something i thought of here... reader and chishiya live together but have separate rooms, but often times the other knocks on their partner's door at night and asks if they can sleep in their bed :((( <3 like little sleepovers whenever they want to (mostly when chishiya wants to since he doesn't seem big on physical affection) i love your fics, tysm for not writing fem reader it's so refreshing <33
pairing: chishiya x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: fluff
Tumblr media
doctor chishiya >>> should've pulled his hair back more in the show he looks SO GOOD
a/n: thank you for requesting !! this idea was so cute, i love it sm. it means so much that you like my fics, i hope you like this one <33
i made two versions, one where reader goes to chishiya and one where chishiya goes to reader if that makes sense sklensk tbh this is my ideal living situation idk why more couples don't have separate rooms
‧₊˚✩ waking chishiya up because you can't sleep
(set at the beach, word count 282)
you let out an exasperated sigh into the darkness, turning to lay on your back. the ceiling is barely visible in the dim lighting. sleep has never come easy in the borderlands.
you stare up into the darkness until your arm goes numb from being in the same position for so long. it’s still dark out when you glance over at your window. you sit up on your elbow, pushing yourself out of bed. the air is cold against your skin. you pull a shirt over your head and leave your room. it’s silent in the hotel, most people already sleeping by now.
chishiya’s room is darker than yours when you enter. light from the hallway streams in for a second before you close the door behind you. he stays silent but you can tell he’s awake as you carefully enter the room.
the sheets are cold when you slide underneath the covers, propping your head up underneath your hand. you can feel chishiya roll onto his side to face you. “did i wake you?”
“no.” he reaches his hand out a little, gesturing for you to move closer. you eagerly accept, wrapping your arm around his waist and pressing yourself against his chest. his warmth feels nice against your skin. “rough night?”
you hum as chishiya wraps his arms further around you. “couldn’t sleep. it feels like i’ve been awake for hours.” chishiya moves his hand to your jawline, gently stroking against the skin. you sigh, leaning into his touch. he moves his hand to the nape of your neck, fingernails gently massaging your scalp. the feeling calms you. slowly, your body relaxes as you fall asleep safe in chishiya’s arms.
‧₊˚✩ chishiya coming to sleep with you
(set after the borderlands, word count 258)
your cat blinks lazily at chishiya as he closes the door behind himself, careful not to shut it completely. you lay sprawled across your bed, deep asleep. he smiles a little, coaxing your cat to move so he can lay down. she dramatically yawns before moving down to curl up by your feet.
chishiya slides underneath the blankets, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you back into his chest. you unconsciously lean into him, shifting a little closer to his body. he presses a kiss against the nape of your neck before falling back asleep.

chishiya’s arm is still wrapped around your waist when you wake up. you turn onto your side, taking the time to admire him. his hair is messy, sprawled across your pillows. he looks gorgeous in the morning glow.
your cat stretches before she jumps down off of your bed, pushing her way out of your room in search of her food. you bring your hand up to chishiya’s face, gently pushing strands of hair out of the way. it feels soft despite the continuous bleaching.
he stirs a little when you start twisting his bangs into little braids. his thumb strokes against your skin underneath your shirt. you smile, pushing yourself upwards to press a kiss against his forehead. chishiya doesn’t open his eyes but his lips quirk upwards into a small smile.
“breakfast?” you whisper.
“later,” he rasps, pulling you back down into his arms. “wanna stay with you.”
you stifle a chuckle, returning to playing with his hair. “okay.”

King Of My Heart
Tumblr media
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
Chishiya knew about your feelings all along
Fluff
“You don’t understand. I was this close to being shot… This close!” I held my pointer finger and thumb as close as they could be.
“I think you forget that I was there. The bullets didn’t even go near you.” Chishiya scoffed as he changed.
I watched him take off the comfortable looking sweater to change into his lucky white jacket. I rummaged through the plastic bag that held the few clothing items I was able to grab without the King of Spades finding us. It was pure Chishiya luck that we were able to hide in this shabby hotel filled six stories high. I took off the ripped tank top and shorts I had on, flinging them to the side of the room. I picked up the pair of black jeans, putting them on before shrugging on a soft white long sleeve. I didn’t mind changing in front of the nonchalant mastermind for the fact that I had chills running down my spine at the slight chance of being found by the shooter.
“I think you need to see a doctor for your eyesight Chishi.” I stated turning around to find him leaning against the doorframe, waiting for me.
He rolled his eyes, “I am a doctor.”
I stepped closer to him, “Then answer me this cat boy, would save me if I was shot?”
He looked me up and down before letting out a quiet hmm, “Maybe.”
I gasped walking past him and grabbing his hand, “Let’s go before I actually come across the possibility of putting my life in your hands.”
“I prefer my hands in my pockets.” Chishiya grumbled though he made no attempt to untangle his hand from mine.
It was my turn to roll my eyes, “I know that. I saw you with your hands in your pockets barely running while we were being hunted. Where are we going anyways?”
“There was a game not to far from here. Head left once we make it out of the hotel.” He said.
I sighed as we made it to the gates of a prison, “I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes…”
“Are you still on about that?” Chishiya tsked, “The grenade would of had a better chance at killing you. I mean you kicked it like a football and you’re worried about tiny bullets?”
“There’s a three second rule for grenades not bullets.” I shrugged as I looked up at towards the sky.
The Jack Of Hearts blimp floated above us and an uneasy feeling rested in the pit of my stomach.
“Are you sure about this?” I asked, my voice softer as I looked to him, “Maybe we should do a clubs game instead…”
“I’m sure.” He nodded, “We need to play a game before our days run out and between the two of us, hearts will be a walk in the park.”
“Or a walk in a prison.” I motioned to where we were, “Ready to become a convict?”
Chishiya gave me is famous are you kidding me look as he opened the door, “Let’s get a move on then prisoner.” He said, waiting patiently for my next move
“Ever the gentleman I see.” I gave a short bow before walking inside.
“Only for you.” He murmured, following close behind.
The two of us eventually landed at a table with collars spaced evenly on top of it. There seemed to only be a few left, meaning there were already players inside.
“I hate these.” I whispered already feeling my throat close up at the thought of the collar exploding around my neck.
“I know.” Chishiya said as he secured a collar around his neck.
That simple motion left zero chances of me walking out of here and he knew that. He knew I’d never leave him. My heart would allow it and so I grabbed the collar, looking at it.
“Do you think you could…” I gently handed him the collar and turned around so he could secure it around my neck.
He stepped closer to me, gently moving any stray hair out of the way as he put it around my neck.
“I wish it would be something other than this that you put around my neck.” I chuckled.
“Are you suggesting you want me to buy you a diamond necklace?” He said as he clasped the collar into place.
“Diamonds… Candy… Anything would make me happy as long as it was coming from you.” I turned to look at him with a smile.
“Sap.” Was all he said, a blush forming on his cheeks.
“Only for you.” I repeated his words from earlier.
The game was simple. Trust in your partner. Find the Jack of Hearts. Then you win and you can leave. That was all and while it may be the easiest thing in the world for me, it seemed others had a harder time coping with the frazzling distrust slowly seeping it’s way into each player. Except for us of course. We watched patiently as each player began to pair up.
“Hey…” I gave the poor frazzled guy who has been standing next to us this who time, “You can partner with us, we’re not looking to get anyone killed.”
The relief was evident on his face as he nodded eagerly, “Thanks.”
Any attempt of anxiety that even dared to creep into my bones every time I stepped into a cell was washed away the moment I found the cozy blonde waiting for me after each round.
I watched Urumi manipulate her small group with a lollipop and smile on her face. It made me wonder if anyone was actually buying her innocence act.
“Unbelievable…” I breathed out, glancing over to Chishiya to get his opinion only to find him happy watching the scene unfold as he munched on his cookies.
The look on his face made my heart swell as he took such happiness from such a little treat. Adorable… I thought as a blush creeped up my face. I quickly covered up my heart eyes with a cough the second he gave me his full attention.
“Are those the only cookies, you’re going to eat?” I stared at the cookies he keeps getting.
The players were dwindling as the days went on and the only source of entertainment was each other and watching the others slowly lose their minds. Our ally included… His heart was too big for this game.
“They’re the best.” He stated simply.
“Oh I beg to differ.” I held up a box of vanilla flavored panda cookies, “These are the best.”
He barely glanced at my cookies, “You’re just basic.”
I gasped, clutching my box of cookies close to my chest, “How dare you insult my cookies!”
“I didn’t insult your cookies.” The look in his eyes screamed devilish as he took a bite of his biscuit, “I insulted you.”
I let out a cry as I fell back into the bench as if I had been shot in slow motion, “I take it back… Being shot would have hurt way less…” I breathed out before pretending to die.
It wasn’t even a minute before I felt one of his biscuits hit my face. I blinked my eyes open as I gave him a mock glare, “Did you just hit me with your biscuit?”
“Had to make sure you weren’t dead.” He shrugged.
“If I didn’t lo-” I was silently grateful for the interruption to my almost confession. I looked over to one of the only people who deserved to be behind these walls.
“How long have you two liked each other?” Banda asked, taking a seat on the other side of the table.
“Oh um…” I stuttered as the blush on my cheeks suddenly returned with a vengeance, “We’re not…”
“Two months ago, she told me to shut up.” Chishiya answered nonchalantly.
I looked at him in shock, my cheeks the color of strawberries because he was right… That was the moment I fell for him.
“You knew that I…?” I asked bewildered.
“Pretty easy.” He shrugged.
I punched him in the arm, “And you didn’t think to mention anything?!”
“Figured you found out my feelings as well.” He answered.
“You just smirked at me and walked away!” I waved my hands around, “How was I supposed to catch on to that?!”
“You tell me. We haven’t been apart since.” He stated and I couldn’t come up with a good comeback.
The speaker letting us know it was time to head to our cells.
I sighed getting up, clutching my box of cookies in my hand. Following the blonde towards the cells.
“Interesting…” Banda murmured, deducing that neither of us were the Jack of Hearts. This meant that his earlier deduction was current.
“What was my suit again?” I mumbled, not being able to look him in the eyes.
“Heart.” Chishiya assured me for the second time.
I looked at his collar once again to be certain, “Yours is a Diamond.” I repeated.
He nodded, “See you in a minute.”
He brushed his hand against mine before entering his cell. I entered the once next to him repeating suit he told me.
“Heart.”
I can’t believe that sly cat… The embarrassment of the sudden confession slowly began to wash away as a smile formed on my face. He liked me too.
Now all we had to do was survive this place together.

Chishiya x reader fic at The Beach where Kuina makes the three of them play “put a finger down” (she ships y/n and chishiya)
Fair Game (m)
Summary: Perhaps you got too competitive over a drinking game, but in your defense, Kuina started it.
Genre: fluff, suggestive themes, gets a little smutty in the end lmao
Pairing: reader x chishiya; platonic!reader x kuina
Words: 1.9k
Note: I got carried away uvu this was supposed to be just fluff but oh well. Part 2 is out now, which you can read here!
Tumblr media
"Come on! We deserve a rest night after that spades game," Kuina poured your cup full of beer despite your complaints. Chishiya stared into his own glass with no intention of ever touching it.
Kuina slung an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to her before she raised her glass up. "Kampai!"
"Kampai," you said with forced enthusiasm. You didn't want to put a damper on her mood, so you brought the glass up to you face and tipped it just enough for the cool liquid to touch your lips. After a few seconds, you pulled away, licking the sticky residue off. Chishiya chuckled softly when you grimaced.
You turned your head slightly to Chishiya's side, sticking a tongue out at him. He reciprocated with an eyebrow raise.
Kuina took no notice. Instead, she opted to grab a handful of chips and munched happily on them. Her chatter filled the room in between mouthfuls.
As much as you tried to pay attention to what she's saying, your mind couldn't help but drifting off to he blonde next to you. He would offer a hum or one-worded responses every now and then, but his eyes were lost far in the distance. You wondered what was going on inside his mind—what plans were being concocted. He had offhandedly mentioned wanting to steal the cards, but you weren't sure if he was being serious. Then again, Chishiya wasn't the easiest person to read.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped towards you.
The corner of his mouth turned up into a small smirk—his ego undoubtedly fueled after catching you in the act.
"Hey, can the both of you stop eye-fucking each other next to me?"
You whipped your head towards Kuina, a deep blush fiercely filling your cheeks. With your head turned, you didn't notice the tip of Chishiya's ears tinting red.
'We weren't—"
"You guys are no fun to drink with," she pouted. "I'm bored. And we haven't gotten through the case yet."
"Kuina," Chishiya mused, speaking clearly for the first time tonight. "You knew what you were getting yourself into. _____ and I aren't exactly the life of the party."
"No, no. I think its because I sense a bit of..." she paused, pouring herself another glass. "...tension!"
By the way she giggled, you knew the tipsiness was starting to creep in. There was a mischievous glint in her eyes. "As this group's designated cupid, I propose a fun activity for all of us!"
"And by us, you mean just me and Chishiya?"
"Exactly! It's no fun if the host joins in the games," Kuina repoured both your glasses, much to your mutual disappointment. "Trust me, you need to be tipsy for this to be fun."
"I can only think of things going downhill from here," Chishiya stretched his arms upwards. Kuina grimaced, throwing some crushed chips against him. Chishiya didn't even blink.
"Okay!" She clapped her hands, the loudness making you flinch. "Do you guys know the game 'put a finger down'?"
"Oh shit," you muttered, immediately downing the shot. "Here we go."
"Gameplay is simple! Put a finger down if the statement is true for you. The last person who puts all fingers down wins."
To your surprise, Chishiya straightened in his seat. He leaned forward, propping his elbows on his knees. Reaching over, he grabbed his glass, taking a big gulp of beer like it was nothing. "So a heart game?"
"Shut up, no game talk tonight. No scheming, no cards. Now put your hand up!" She frantically waved her hands upward.
Hesitantly, you held your open hand up. Chishiya followed suite a few seconds later. Truthfully, you didn't know what Kuina had planned—or why you were playing this stupid game in the first place.
But hey, this might be a way to know the elusive man better. Plus, a part of you was curious of how this would turn out.
Kuia beamed at your willingness. "Okay, we'll go easy on the first round. Put a finger down if you'd been in a game with someone you were attracted to."
"I thought you said no game talk," Chishiya deadpanned.
"Chishiya, I will cut your hair off in your sleep."
Despite the eye roll, he held the snarky reply back. He slowly looked over to you, your own gaze avoiding his. The both of you were waiting for the other person to make a move, and it looked like no one would budge.
"Fucking hell, give me this," you groaned, reaching over for the beer bottle. Taking a big swig, you put a finger down.
Sure, you were in multiple club and diamond games with Chishiya. But you didn't need to specify who you were attracted to. By all means, it could have been Arisu. Or Tatta. Yeah, Tatta was an attractive gentleman and a formidable love interest.
Kuina's smile grew wider. She turned her attention to Chishiya, looking on at him expectantly.
He hummed, curling a finger down. Your heart was pounding, but you didn't know why. Could it be you? Surely not. Chishiya never made any romantic advances nor gave hints of his attraction. But he also wasn't the type to be expressive about these things.
"Nice! See, this isn't so bad," Kuina refilled her glass and Chishiya's. "Okay. Put a finger down if you've pined over someone before."
You mulled this over. Did you pine over Chishiya? You've thought about him a lot, but only as a friend. Well, except those times where you've imagined how his hair looked all tousled in the morning, or how you've fantasized about his lithe fingers dancing on your skin, or how his lips always looked so inviting and soft.
Shit. Was this pining?
Chishiya saw the hesitation on your face. He murmured, "Whatever you're thinking of, if you're thinking of it that deeply, the answer may be yes."
You gave an annoyed sigh, putting another finger down. After taking a long drink, you cheeks were starting to feel warmer.
"You shouldn't be drinking that much that fast," he said cooly. He swiped the bottle, taking a drink out of it as well.
"What are you drinking for? You're safe this round." you spouted bitterly.
"For the future," he grinned back.
Kuina was barely containing her excitement. She was dying to get down her line of questions. Without wasting another second, she passed you a second bottle. "Put a finger down if you've ever been in love."
Now it was Chishiya's turn to have second thoughts. Love was a broad term. Did he care about you? Yes. Would he take a bullet for you? Maybe. Did this mean he was in love? Debatable.
He glanced over at you, surprised to see a third finger down already. You held his stare, challenging him to answer. He huffed, moving his second finger halfway down.
"That doesn't count!" you complained, looking towards Kuina for reassurance. "Only definite yes or no's."
"You could say I'm in the process of it," Chishiya retorted. "It's not my fault you're losing this game."
You gasped dramatically. It might have been the alcohol talking, but before you knew it, a couple of choice words slipped out your mouth.
"Bullshit! I'm losing only because I'm not in denial or whatever. I'm telling the truth, right Kuina?"
The wide-eyed girl stuttered, struggling to get a response out before you cut her off.
"And these questions are all aimed at me anyway. This game is rigged! So Shuntaro, we're playing it my way now. Fair game. We take turns with the questions."
His eyes darkenedat the name, a devilish smirk growing on his face. "Fine. This round doesn't count then."
"Wait a minute-" Kuina tried to butt in, panicking a little after her game has been hijacked.
"Put a finger down," you talked over her before pausing for dramatic effect. "If you've dreamt of me."
Chishiya was a light sleeper. His body clock had adjusted to the nature of his work—him being on call meant more patients and less rest. But there were rare times he did fall into a deep sleep. Usually when he was especially tired that day. And during these times, he dreamt.
This happened only once in the Borderlands. It was after a diamonds game, which he admittedly wouldn't have gotten out of if it weren't for your quick thinking. That was the night he dreamt of holding your hand.
But he'll never divulge this specific dream to anyone. He'll take it to his grave.
He put a definite second finger down. "Yeah, I've dreamt of pushing you off the rooftop."
You snorted, not buying his bluff. His eyes trailed towards the beer bottle again. His body moved before he could think, and by then he has taken another drink using his free hand. "My turn."
"Put a finger down if I've made you blush before."
Sighing, you put a third finger own again. "Blushing doesn't always mean something good, you cocky loser."
"There's only one loser here and they're sitting next to me," he laughed.
You grabbed a throw pillow, repeatedly smacking it against his arm. Chishiya's laughter grew louder. You paused—this was different. This was the first genuine and unfiltered laugh you've heard from him. Was the alcohol finally getting to him? Or could it have been that he was genuinely enjoying this.
Kuina froze as well, noticing the same thing.
"Yeah well, go put a finger down if I've made you hard then. Ha!" You were fired up. You wanted to stick it to him. He can't just treat you like a silly child all the time. You were independent and capable and losing your train of thought when you saw him put a third finger down without breaking eye contact.
A tense silence ensued. Your mouth hung agape, hand stuck forming a peace sign in the air as you stared at Chishiya's hand. Kuina sipped her beer silently, eyes darting back and forth between you both. Chishiya broke the silence.
"Put a finger down," Chishiya began, voice lower, tone almost taunting. "If you ever came to the thought of me."
You locked eyes, neither wanting to back down. Your eyebrows knit in determination, but you were stumped. What the hell were you supposed to do?
"Okay guys, maybe we should give the hosting back to me," Kuina nervously chuckled, feeling like she's witnessing something she shouldn't. "Let's go back to the original question. Have you ever been in love?"
No answer.
Chishiya's gaze pierced you through his hooded eyes. You leaned closer to him, narrowing your eyes.
"Guys?" Kuina's smile slowly dropped. Fuck, maybe the game worked a bit too well. "Well look at the time, I've got to get going.".
She stumbled out the room, tripping over her platforms. She hadn't even closed the door when she heard a soft thud. Turning her head in time, she saw you leap onto Chishiya, the blonde catching you with open arms.
You didn't hear the door click shut, nor notice her leaving. The only thing you were focused on was Chishiya's lips against yours.
He kissed you hungrily, gripping your waist with his hands and pressing your crotch against his. He flipped you over, pinning you between him and the couch. Grabbing your legs, he pulled you harshly closer to him, making you slide down the cushions.
Your lips connected once more, hands tangling in his hair.
"You lost," he rasped in between kisses.
"Shut up and make me cum, loser." You rolled your hips against his.
At the back of your mind, you hoped that you wouldn't forget to thank Kuina in the morning.

This man acts, looks and feels like a cat; and by that, I mean he's sly, slick, and has little regard for anyone who doesn't benefit him.
All except for you, it would seem.
You were just another person who fell into the Beach's jurisdiction, plucked from the Borderlands and dropped into a thin veneer of humanity.
As expected, you grew to fear the Militants, the games, but you'd found yourself more or less adopted by a loose group of players who just wanted the same as you; to go home.
Chishiya was in the periphery of this group, existing only around the edges, never a centrepiece.
That, was, until he started to take notice of you.
It was harmless curiosity at first; a desire to know exactly who his associates were affiliating with.
After all, you weren't entirely forthcoming with details about yourself, often shifting the conversation to anything else when it included your personal life.
You didn't even have a name, having kept that private, too.
For all anyone was concerned, you could've been a myth - a mystery - with how elusive you were.
Not to mention your penchant for disappearing whenever someone turned their back on you for more than a second.
Unbeknownst to them, you just wanted to be alone, and by keeping information about yourself scarce, you reduced the risk of them becoming attached to you, and vice versa. Isolating yourself in your room seemed to help, too.
Chishiya watched you.
Whenever you were nearby, he had an eye on you, either his own or Kuina's, and would commit your every quirk and habit to memory, trying to find a weak point.
Or, that was what he told himself.
Over time, as he came to see how proficient you were in the games, he saw you as a valuable asset.
During games, he'd scan the area for you whenever he had a spare moment, and his mind wandered to your potential whereabouts - your condition - whenever you weren't in sight.
During one of these games, he couldn't seem to find you anywhere.
Soon enough, he found himself asking Kuina if she'd seen you.
"No," she told him, standing to her full height, the body next to her stripped of supplies. "Why? Something wrong?"
A scream rang out, and Chishiya's ears pricked, attention snapping to the source.
You bolted across the apartment complex on the floor below, pursued by someone - more so something - twice your size, wielding a sword.
Chishiya acted on pure adrenaline and instinct.
He vaguely heard Kuina call his name as he swung over the bannister, jumping onto the floor below and following you.
The behemoth tailed close behind, swinging his sword whenever he thought he could catch either you or Chishiya.
The sound of two sets of footsteps pursuing you forced you to push harder, run faster, eventually causing you to veer off into a room you thought would be safe.
It was little more than a dead end.
Spinning on your heel, you turned to leave the way you came, but you knew it was a futile attempt.
Two men ran in after you, one which you recognised form the Beach, the other a monster.
The smaller of the two grabbed you, pulling you aside as the giant swung his sword down upon you, almost severing you on the spot.
Weighed down with his own strength and withdrawing the sword, Chishiya took his chance.
He slipped a knife from the inside of his jacket and, before the man in the mask could begin to defend himself, plunged it into his ribs.
He didn't stop; he just kept tearing the knife into his middle, crippling him each time.
And you watched from the sidelines, curled up in the corner.
You slid to the ground and curled up.
The ordeal was over quicker than you'd expect.
Chishiya panted and looked over to you.
Seeing you shivering in the corner, he approached, keeping the knife out of your sight (and reach), offering his hand to you.
You took it, gingerly, and pulled yourself up.
With his hand still in yours, the silence of the room ringing in your ears, your body acted of its own accord.
You pulled him to you and pressed yourself into his chest.
Tears welled in your eyes and soaked into Chishiya's jacket.
He...didn't know what to do.
Initially he thought you were attacking him, ready to gut him with a concealed weapon.
But, the longer you remained tucked into his chest, sniffles becoming sobs, that possibility diminished.
His body knew what to do - what the human answer to your actions was - but his mind couldn't follow through.
And yet, the former won.
Slowly, cautiously, his arms found your middle and held you, not firm enough to keep you there, but tight enough that Chishiya could feel your fear.
It was in that second that, feeling you pressed tightly against him, he realised what human warmth felt like.
In all his years of training to be a doctor, he'd heard of this phenomenon (a phenomenon to him, a commonality for everyone else) yet had never experienced it.
He dared to look down at you as he cradled your shaking body in his arms.
Something washed over him. A feeling - a primal urge.
He couldn't place his finger on it, but he knew it was caused by you, by your cowering.
And yet, it was not a desire to see you suffer, nor to push you away. So what was it?
Kuina came running, speeding round the corner. Her eyes fell upon you and Chishiya before drifting over to the body.
She seemed more interested in what the two of you were doing, though Chishiya tried to discourage her with a dark glint in his eye.
Whatever she was going to say died in her throat, and she looked away, pretending never to have seen Chishiya in such a vulnerable position.
He looked down at you once more.
He knew you couldn't stay like this for long, even if he wanted to.
"What's your name?" he said, keeping his voice monotone as he fought to escape the haze you'd cast over him.
You sniffed, seemed to consider his question, then looked to him with wide, glassy eyes.
His heart jumped.
"(Y/N)."
After that, Chishiya became your unofficial protector of sorts.
Your "Guardian," as he referred to himself to Kuina.
He'd told her it was purely to gain your trust, to make you rely on him so that, when the time came, he could sacrifice you.
And yet, every time he tried thinking of ways he could use you, the memory of you flush against him, eyes red and cheeks sodden with tears, flashed in his mind.
Your warmth would encompass him - for a few seconds, no more - and he would be overcome with that feeling again.
He would never dare to confide in Kuina, nor himself about it.
He'd tried shoving that feeling down, putting it out of his mind.
Yet it always returned. And one night, it hit him.
The answer to his hypotheses.
He sat bolt upright in bed, looking dead ahead, as if he could see through the walls and saw you sleeping in your room.
It was protectiveness.
That feeling - that need - was the urge to protect you, to keep you out of harm's way.
From that moment on, you became the object of his obsession.
He understood that you were now his weakness, and so to protect himself, he needed to protect you.
He watches you as he did before he knew you.
Diverted your path when necessary - whenever Niragi was nearby, he'd steer you down another corridor under the pretense of needing to "Discuss the next game with you."
During these conversations, he'd learn a little more about you, though you remained guarded.
He wanted to be offended at your lack of willing, but he understood you too well to begrudge your way of thinking.
The two of you were quite similar in that regard.
You were an oyster of sorts; a shell on the outside, yet possessing a treasure within.
Chishiya would try pushing you a little more, trying to discern your interests, your hopes, your dreams, your life before the Borderlands.
Soon enough, Chishiya was not satisfied by your mere hallway meetings, instead requesting to meet you in private under the guise of keeping your conversations quiet, for there were "Eyes everywhere," according to him.
He wasn't wrong, which was what made it so easy for him to get you alone.
When you weren't talking about the games, your conversations would shift to a more personal tone.
You'd share very minimal information about yourself, and, though he didn't show it, Chishiya found himself hanging on your every word.
You actually shared some interests in common, like your literature preferences, your appreciation for Renaissance art, and your overall logical way of thinking.
Chishiya found these moments to be the most intimate ones he'd ever experienced, despite no physical contact being involved.
His eyes would drift to your arms, remembering how you'd clung to him that night when he'd rescued you.
And how he so desired to feel them around him again.
Not that he'd ever say this, of course.
He fantasizes about holding you a lot.
Considering how everything is so unstable in the Borderlands, the security you gave him, and the security he felt over you, made him feel safe. A commodity in the Borderlands.
He's started stealing some of your belongings, too.
Well, of the few you have.
He stole your pillow case and put it over his pillow so he can smell you when he's drifting off to sleep, imagining you there with him, calming him.
Considering all the pillow cases in the Beach were identical, you'd never be able to tell.
He gets a bit of a thrill out of you being so close to something of yours he's taken whenever you come over to his room.
Makes him feel alive in a way the games don't.
It makes him feel human; like he's discovering love for the first time.
One evening, he had the idea of purposely endangering you during the games just so he could swoop in and save you.
The idea was a fleeting fancy, nothing more. But it haunted him, watched him.
And he found himself enacting it.
And, sure enough, it worked.
During one particularly stressful game, you'd lost a key you needed to unlock a door and find a ticket, which would give you your escape.
The keys had been well hidden throughout the map, and when you'd found yours, you hoped and prayed the door it unlocked would actually have a ticket behind it.
Chishiya had finished a good ten minutes before you, and when your back had been turned, he'd swiped your key from the band of your swimsuit, pocketing it, disappearing behind a corner before you'd even realised what had happened.
And now he watched you panic, cry, and near give up as the timer counted down when you found your precious key gone.
He reveled in your distress, as ashamed as he'd be to say it. The fruits of his labour hung over him in his mind's eye; the feeling of you pressed tightly against him.
Chishiya appeared behind you like a phantom, presenting the key to you.
"Found this a few minutes ago; thought you'd have some use for it."
You near wept into his chest, just as you had done during your first meeting.
You were never in any real danger, Chishiya made sure of that.
But he needed to make you believe that you were so his plans would take full effect.
That evening, you barely left his side, sticking close to him.
You just needed some form of comfort, something to help you make sense of what had nearly happened.
This was the second time he'd saved you, protected you from death, and you weren't going to let him out of your sight.
That was far too close for your liking. Losing your key like that - you had no idea how you'd managed to do such a thing.
And Chishiya consoled you throughout the night, reveling in how you held his hand, cried into his shoulder, berated yourself for being so careless with the literal key to your survival.
His heart thrummed, and he near purred at the feeling of your skin on his as you rested your head on his shoulder, wrapped in his jacket.
He felt like he owned you.
And that's how Chishiya wanted you: dependent on him and him alone.
And now, with you sleeping at his side, nestled into his chest, he counted the infinite ways he could make that so - how he could keep you with him.
Forever.

Fuck Visitation Hours
Shuntaro Chishiya x GN!Reader
REQUESTED? Yes • [No]
WORD COUNT: 498
SUMMARY| After hearing about the meteors, you can’t help but rush to the hospital in search of your husband to make sure he’s okay.
Adm Note: I’m getting to all of your requests, I promise!
Tumblr media
Your heart thunder wildly against the ribs that kept it caged, like if it beat hard enough it could burst through the bones and flesh that protected it. Your mind was scrambled but you had one goal, to find your husband; when the meteors started you worried, your gut was churning with unease like a witches cauldron being stirred up by a wooden spoon, but you brushed it off as paranoia.
Then you got the call you dreaded most; Chishiya was in the hospital.
You had never gotten into your car so fast, practically almost throwing yourself into the cars window with how fast your feet carried you. Your hands were shaking with nerves bubbling up from the stirring cauldron and forming in your throat.
When you reached the hospital you set on your mission to find Chishiya, the receptionist telling you to wait until visitation hours but you couldn’t, not when you didn’t know if he was okay. The receptionist only had her back turned for a second, but it was all you needed to slip back into the hallway without being seen.
Walking down the hall you read each name on the little signs until coming across his. Taking a deep breath you entered the room, immediately noticing a head turn your way and you physically relaxed under his gaze.
“Shiya..” You had made your way over, talking softly as to not awaken his sleeping roommate. “They called me, and I have never been more scared then when they told me you were in a hospital bed.” Your hand came to brush his hair away from his eyes, worry decorated your eyes like stars decorating the skies.
Oceans of worry can be seen in your eyes and he would happily drown in them if it calmed down the seas. “It’s not visiting hours, how did you get back?” His voice soothed you, grounding in the fact that he is really there with you, that you could still feel his heart thumping under the warmth of his skin. He was okay.
“Fuck Visitation hours. If I had to go one more second without knowing if you we’re okay? I would have drove myself crazy.” Your voice held a sight laugh behind them as you responded to what you found to be a humorous question on his part.
But you meant what you said. If something had happened to him, you would have lost it. No one was taking him from you if you could help it, the deities above would have to pry him from your cold dead arms, and fight you until they couldn’t anymore, before they could touch a hair on his head in a threatening manner.
Pressing a kiss to his forehead you let your eyes flutter closed as relief finally rushed through your body and washed away the anxiety you felt. ‘I’ll never let anything happen to you, not while I’m still breathing.’ You thought, moving forward to rest your forehead against his.
