I love how Ratchet goes from smacking the back of Bumblebee’s head (because of his loud mouth) to immediately repairing him from the space bridge debris in just a scene later.
Already, in episode one, we learn that Doc Bot cares.

TRANSFORMERS ONE TRAILER OPINIONS UNDER THE CUT
Cons:
I love Bumblebee! He is one of my favourite Transformer characters! But even way back when this film was announced, I don’t think that he should have been in this particular movie. Hasbro said they were hoping to make a trilogy and I always thought it would’ve made more sense to introduce him in a sequel. I always thought it would have made more sense for Ratchet or Jazz or Dion to fill the role that he appears to be playing in this movie. And in general I feel Bumblebee is played a bit too OOC and kinda annoying.
I am not a fan of the robot designs for the main four. I feel as though their silhouettes are all too similar. Remove the colours and I could not tell them apart.
Also why is Elita-One a motorcycle? That’s Arcee’s vehicle! Why can’t see be truck like she usually is!
Neutral:
The animation is definitely good quality, but after Spiderverse and Mutant Mayhem, I was hoping for something more stylised
I need to see more of Megatron before I form opinions of his portrayal here.
I would prefer Orion to be a librarian but I’m interested to see him as a miner. At least they didn’t make him a fucking cop again.
I was not expecting the Quintessons to show up. I like their designs but it makes me wonder what the overall plot of this film will be if it is going to be about the revolution at all?
I hope we get a lot of cameos even if they don't get main roles!
Not sure how I feel about the lore changes of the Transformers not being able to transform until Alpha Trion gives them what looks like T-cogs (I hope they are not Matrixes).
But again a lot of the lore changes I can’t fully form opinions on until I see them fully explored in the movie.
I liked what we saw of Orion and D-16’s dynamic so far but I can’t really have more of an opinion until we see more footage.
Pros:
I surprisingly really liked Chris Hemsworth as Orion both voice wise and what we’ve seen of his personality.
Similarly I also really like ScarJo as Elita-One and her personality from what we have seen so far. And I love Elita so even having her here at all is fantastic!
I think the Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave designs are great, much more distinctive!
It is also cool to see Arachnid get a spotlight in the trailer! It would be cool to see her play a main role in the plot!
I am interested to see how they explore Cybertron here! Especially with it having more integrated organic life than i was expecting as well as the fact that our main four have never been to the surface
Overall I am very excited for the movie! I am aware that I am probably being too nitpicky. I think I have to accept that how I personally would have told this story is probably not how they are going to tell it. And its probably not going to be as mature as I had hoped.
But regardless of the trailers I will be seeing this on opening day anyway lol

JC: You know. Hey! In a Gelson's I saw DeForest Kelly, I did the same thing. I went, "There's fucking DeForest Kelley! One of my favorites! Man there he is!" But I'm not going to walk up to him, and uh. I think at that point I had done maybe one or two Deep Space Nines. What am I gonna, "Hi, uh, err, M-Mr. Kelley. You know I'm on Star Trek, too!"
[laughter]
JC: It just seemed so, like, no.
MODERATOR 3: I have sort of an esoteric question.
JC: Okay.
M3: This is going back to, you know. When you watch the original shows, are there any characters that you would have wanted to play? Whether regular characters or, you know, guest stars.
JC: That's really a good question. Like, who do I relate to?
M3: Yeah.
JC: In those shows?
M3: Who do you think you, who do you think you could have--
JC: Who would I have been cast in? Well, I shudder at that idea because I don't know if I would have been cast with any of them. But maybe Bones.
M1: Yeah
JC: Maybe. And I have to tell you, I sort of had an opportunity to sort of exude that kind of demeanor when years later I was a series regular on Transformers Prime. Because I played Ratchet, and Ratchet was the medic, and he was irascible but lovable.
M3: Yeah
JC: And that, and I think that's how I got the job. Because I didn't really know anything about Transformers when I auditioned for it. Okay, I didn't. But I made a choice, it was very, very DeForest Kelley. And it's kind of irritated but lovable, and you know he cared, but he had an edge. So in a way--
M3: He's gonna save your life but he's not going to be happy about it
MODERATOR 2: America's space dad
JC: And he can be annoyed with your bothering him, but he's also, you know, kind of happy that you're paying attention to him. You know this kind of duality that great characters have.

I’m reading The Transformers (2009) rn, and it’s honestly hilarious to see Ratchet being so nervous about legends of Megatron’s “black hole thing”. 
I mean, of course, it’s Megatron he’s talking about, he has a right to be concerned, but it’s still looks quite funny compared to his MTMTE personality and their relationship with Drift basically being based on difference of their points of view at the world. Ofc, legends are different from spiritual beliefs, but the fact he really does believe in them still contradicts his MTMTE pure rationalist personality

It's 3 in the morning, and my eyes hurt, but I send you this ask based on one that I'm pretty confident Tumblr consumed (Horny Edition).
CONSIDER: Struggling to get started on a task because of inertia, something like writing a report or something that requires sitting at a desk for a good period of time. Getting frustrated at this and telling your Cybertronian partner, and they offer to help. Except the "help" is being stuck on their spike, so you literally can't walk away from the task. This also involves whispered praises into your ear as you're starting the task, and literally no mention of the whole spikewarming thing as you're doing said task.

This definitely strikes me as a tactic that Brainstorm would deploy, though he's pretty likely to just end up getting distracted himself. Ratchet would be much better at staying on track with both his work and keeping you on your own, though he may be prone to a bit of teasing if he's in the right mood.~

Slight SLIGHT crack hear canons for IDW (LL for most if the bots) ‘reacting’ to their s/o basically being idws Jessica Rabbit?
Bots: Prowl! Optimus, Perceptor, and ratchet?
Just like, this hella attractive but clever mech being the hottest thing since the big bang
Prowl: Bots ask him all the time how he managed to get someone like you to love him. Honestly, even he isn’t sure. But, by Primus, does he love you dearly. He still gets jealous when literally everyone stares at you so openly, but you love to quell his jealousy with a passionate kiss that leaves him more embarrassed than anything. You always seem to know how to remind him of where he stands in your eyes.
Optimus: Once he figures out that he can literally encircle your entire waist with one servo, he never stops doing it. If you are next to him, that’s exactly where his hand will be. He finds the duality of your nearly biologically unconfounded frame and your spitfire, quick witted nature to be the balm to his war weary spark.
Perceptor: He may or may not have done studies on the size and placement of your internal components. That was before you started dating. He still doesn’t understand it. He likes to rub your waist in idle moments, like he’s still trying to figure it out. You tease him and say you’re just a freak of nature because he reacts the same every time. By pulling you close and vehemently disagreeing, even though he knows you’re messing with him.
Ratchet: Although he refers to you as both the bane and joy of his existence, he’s not sure he could function a day without you. Of course, to anyone who asks, he blames that on his frail old spark. He loves you endlessly, but that doesn’t stop him from doubting why you would choose him. An otherworldly attractive bot and you settled for a slowly malfunctioning old rust bucket of a medic? It’s unheard of. After extensive reassuring, he begrudgingly accepts that you love him regardless. Constantly likes to boast that he can hold his whole world in one servo.
