Lion's Pride, Hyena's Cackle - Part III
(Leona/Prefect, Ruggie/Prefect, eventual Leona/Prefect/Ruggie Romantic Poly)
If it had been anyone else but Ruggie who had dared to tell him what to do, Leona would have done the opposite out of spite if not literally throw hands.
If it had been anyone else but the Prefect, Leona wouldn’t have even cared.
But that was the problem, wasn’t it?
It was Ruggie.
It was the Prefect.
Most of the time Leona felt that the shit he had to deal with was thrown at him due to no fault of his own. Oh, he knew he was an asshole but being a prince, having such a destructive Unique Magic, having expectations placed on him with no actual benefit or gain in return and all while the world kept him under a microscope, all existed no matter what he did. It would never change, and he would never escape it.
Unfortunately, he was honest with himself enough to admit that the situation he was in was completely his own doing.
He deserved the words Ruggie had thrown at him.
Sevens, he deserved worse.
He honestly didn’t even know why Ruggie put up with him after everything he did, not even taking into consideration that he had nearly killed the hyena. Sure Ruggie had a dependable source of income and support working for him but he was resourceful and skilled, he could easily have gotten a similar or even better arrangement with someone else in NRC like Kalim or Azul.
But no, even after everything, Ruggie had stayed. Leona hadn’t been brave enough to question it, afraid that bringing it up would make the hyena change his mind.
Ruggie was the one person he had actually ever cared about losing since his mother had passed away.
Or at least, he had been the one person.
That was before an annoying herbivore from another world stumbled into his life and stubbornly refused to leave it. Who accepted him as he was - idiosyncrasies, arrogance, and temper - without blinking. Who threw themself into danger when they had no magic and no way to protect themself just to keep him and Ruggie and the other students at the school safe. Who’s laugh could make his chest warm and who’s smile seemed to brighten the world around them just by existing. Who stubbornly cared when they had no reason to.
And for a moment Leona had forgotten.
He had forgotten who and what he was and allowed himself to indulge in the urge to bask in that warmth just a little. To ignore the realities of the world and dream, just for a moment, that he could have this. That he might deserve that.
That maybe all the shit his life dealt him was worth it if he could enjoy that warmth and brightness even if it was only for a short time. Even if it was only the smallest brush of that warmth and brightness that he wanted to exprience.
He forgot and because he forgot, the Prefect had fallen for him – or at least started to.
And Ruggie had been forced to rip him from that silly daydream and back into reality. Address something that he no doubt still held his own pain over just to ensure that pain wasn’t visited upon the kind hearted human.
He didn’t blame Ruggie.
In a way he was grateful. The first time had been bad enough but this…now that he had faced his own demons and seen what filth he held in his heart – had been saved from that darkness by none other than the Prefect – he knew he couldn’t handle another.
It was better for all of them if he pushed the Prefect away, ensured that whatever closeness had been growing – might have continued to grow – was smothered before it could do harm.
Because it would do harm.
He only ever did harm.
So, he closed his heart. He tightened his mask. He practiced his indifference until no one would suspect him feeling anything for the Prefect except maybe annoyance.
He told himself it didn’t hurt that his efforts worked so well.
The Prefect tried to reach out to him many times. Would greet him and offer to do some of the chores for Ruggie that would keep them in his presence. Would bring him snacks and just check on him, always with that look of concern in their eyes and hope in their smile that he would reach back. That he would at least acknowledge them. look at them.
He didn’t.
He didn’t and slowly the herbivore’s hope faded, their smiles were strained, and they stopped checking in as often.
He knew they still cared, it was just the kind of person that they were, but he had managed to convince them that he did not want them and even though they were worried, they didn’t want to force their presence on him. It made him taste bile in the back of his throat at the idea of making them think their company was anything less than a highlight of his day, but he couldn’t say that.
And he trusted Ruggie to ensure that any hurt they felt from his actions could be minimized and soothed.
Ruggie was the only one he trusted their wellbeing to.
The hyena even did his best to ensure his scent stayed heavy around the Prefect as a silent reminder to him if he slipped – like he almost had that one morning. Had almost…but Ruggie’s scent had snapped him out of it enough to push them away despite what he had actually wanted. Ruggie was always looking out for them whether they realized it or not, and Leona knew he would have even if he hadn’t ordered him to.
The rest of the school certainly wasn’t going to do it. Their ‘friends’ had gotten them into just as much trouble as out of it and most saw them as an eyesore for daring to show up at their prestigious campus without magic. Grim was certainly not able to protect them properly and he knew more than one dangerous gaze was set on the Prefect and their situation. It was why he had encouraged the hyena to keep the herbivore in Savanaclaw as much as possible. At least here he could ensure their safety.
He just now had to make sure his dorm students knew to watch out for them without it getting back to the Prefect or have them suspect his influence was causing it. Ruggie had admitted that it was working so far and they both hoped that the Prefect’s existence would be forgotten by the school in general. That at the very least Leona could distance himself enough to ensure their safety while still warning those that might hurt them off.
For nearly two months this worked, but Leona’s luck finally ran out.
Or rather, Professor Crewel threw their plan out the window when he set up a joint potions project between the third years and first years that would pair one of each together with the intent to take an existing potion and improve or alter it in a way that would create a useful product with a different purpose.
And, of course, he had paired the Prefect up with him in hopes of the herbivore being able to actually convince him to do the work.
Leona really wanted to shove that crop of his down the man’s throat.
“Uh…Leona-senpai?” The Prefect interrupted his mental torture plans for the Potions Master. “So, when would you like to start? I have this afternoon free and Crewel-sama gave me all of the information for our project since he said you…missed class.”
“No.”
He dropped himself back down on the soft grass of his sleeping spot he had been curled up on for the last few hours and ignored the dumbfounded look the other was sending him.
“Excuse me?”
“I said ‘no’, herbivore. I don’t do group projects and I’m definitely not going to waste the effort trying to cover for a first year.”
He heard them stammer a little before they actually stomped their foot where they stood beside him, leaning over him.
“Leona-senpai, I can’t do this on my own! Crewel-sama made sure to give us specific duties and parts of the project we have to do! He will know if I try to do your parts as well as mine!” they said frustrated.
“Not my problem, now go away.”
“Ugh!” he heard the annoyance in their voice and wished he could turn over to see the way they always scrunched up their nose when they argued with someone. “Leona-senpai! If you don’t help me, I’ll fail the assignment! Potions is one of the classes that I get graded on combined with Grim’s! I need to get a good grade!”
“Don’t care.”
“Look, I get that you don’t like me-“ his ears twitched and it took everything he had not to show how the words made his stomach twist. “-but please at least tell me what to do so that I can make it believable that you participated!” they begged.
He couldn’t, he had given Ruggie his silent promise not to be around the Prefect. To distance himself, and having a joint project in a class was not following that agreement.
He had broken enough promises to Ruggie.
Then he heard a hitch in their breathing. It was slight and their voice didn’t falter but he could hear the undercurrent of emotion the human was clearly trying to hold back.
“Please, Leona-senpai. I can’t...I can’t do this on my own and I know Grim isn’t that great at his studies but he tries so hard and he does his best to learn so he can become a skilled mage. I don’t…I don’t want to drag him down more than I already do.”
It felt like Leona’s heart was in a vice and he had to take a deep, slow breath to keep from showing what he was feeling. To not tell the Prefect that they were better than the rest of the idiot students in NRC put together with or without magic. That they could never be a burden to anyone, let alone the cat monster that was only allowed to enroll in the school because of them.
He couldn’t say that.
But he also couldn’t manage to force out the words that would make the other give up and go away.
Not when their voice was so desperate and their pleas something only he could give.
“Fine.” He muttered, turning over, and rocking to his feet in one smooth motion. “Let’s get this over with so I don’t have to deal with it anymore. It’s not like you’ll leave me alone until I do.”
The Prefect’s eyes widened and a warm, grateful smile bloomed on their face as if Leona was actually doing them a favor instead of his actual responsibilities.
“Thank you, Leona-senpai! I’ll work really hard and follow all your instructions, I promise! And I’ll do all the writing and brewing so you just have to tell me what to do!” they said eagerly, stumbling after him through the brush surrounding his napping place and out onto the walkway.
“Whatever.” He said, though he couldn’t help but watch the smaller human out of the corner of his eye and try to memorize the light of their smile and the warmth he felt at someone actually wanting to be beside him, even if it was only for an assignment.
It really would be unfair to hurt the Prefect’s academic standing by refusing to work, after all. He didn’t think Ruggie would want them to go through that. And he could control himself. It was just a project. He would tell the herbivore what to do, they would write it down and brew the potion, then they’d be done. Simple.
Then he could go back to ignoring them and hopefully they would forget all about it.
And him.
======================
This one's a little shorter but I thought it needed a POV from our prince so hope you like it. <3

I remembered this one au I had a while back where the OB boys are apprentices to the Great Seven (who are alive). Crowley is kinda like, their assistant??? Well he's the OFFICIAL assistant, Yuu is the one who does most of the running around. They're recognised for their work by the Great Seven though, who grow REALLY fond of them. This leads to Shenanigans when they keep trying to set up Yuu with their apprentices and sabotage each other's efforts.

Pride & Prejudice: A TWSTed AU
ft. Overblot Gang x GN Reader
Tumblr media
“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single leader in possession of power, fortune, and intellect, must be in want of a partner.”
“Pfft-“ you snorted to yourself, flipping through the pages. “What kind of story is this?”
Earlier that day, you and Grim had decided to clear out one of the rooms at Ramshackle. After a brief jump-scare from Crowley (who showed you how to make furniture out of a magic hammer?), the two of you were now on your way to making a ‘Guest Room.’ Finally, gone were the days of your friends groaning about your dusty couch and cobweb-filled living room!
But that also meant that the boxes in the room had to be moved out. Most of them held thread-bare cloth and other dusty knickknacks, but a few held books that looked as though they hadn’t been held in ages. Out of sheer curiosity and boredom (and the fact that Ramshackle had no internet whatsoever), you cracked open one of them and started reading, with Grim snoozing soundly on your lap.
“What are you reading, Prefect?” One of the Ramshackle ghosts wafted to you, resting on the armchair back behind you. You turned the book to read the cover, frowning, “Prejudice and Pride, by Jean August. It’s kind of ridiculous.” You ran a hand over the dusty cover, “I think we had something like this in my world, too.”
The ghost immediately grinned, “I remember this from when I was alive!” He dove in front of you, taking the book and flipping through it at phantom speed. “This was one of our required readings! Ah, you living folk miss out on the classics,” he sighed wistfully. “Here, this was the best part!”
You took the book and read through it. It seemed to be a love confession, where the main male lead was telling the female lead how much he ‘ardently admired and loved her’ and failed miserably.
“Wow, that’s cringe,” you winced, skimming the page. “And also unrealistic. I mean, who falls in love with someone they hate? And who starts a love confession with ‘you suck, but I love you anyway I guess’? Why the hell would they think that would even work?!” You and the ghost laughed, and continued reading together.
~•~
“The Prefect is… interesting, but not enough to tempt me!”
He remembered telling his dorm mates this exact phrase, after bristling at a group of underclassmen gossiping amongst themselves. It was no secret that you and he were close - after several overblots at school, it would’ve been impossible not to be. At least, that’s what he kept telling himself. It wasn’t like he laid awake at night, thinking about you right? How ridiculous would that be!
Meanwhile in his room, several hours later, the young dorm leader frowned, feeling restless. It was already close to sunrise, but he wasn’t able to drift off to sleep despite the exhaustions that came with leading an entire dorm. Instead of sleep and his impending responsibilities, his mind drifted.
Over the school year, he’d been able to push down his feelings (Sevens knew it was easy, and his overblot proved it), but now, it was impossible to deny it. This will not do, he thought, huffing irritably and sitting up in bed, absently rubbing his temple.
In vain, he’d struggled. But it couldn’t be denied, and despite his best and fiercest efforts to negate it, his feelings couldn’t be repressed. You’d proven yourself to be an unrelenting figure at Night Raven College - someone who he thought would be insignificant compared to his talent and renown. And yet. And yet.
Somehow you’d wormed your way into his life, to where it hurt to think of you as insignificant. Because how could an extraordinary person like you ever be insignificant? In his pre-overblot days, he was stubborn and yet still too prideful to even consider another way of thinking. But then you came along, and made him question everything, from previous prejudices to his own bittersweet pride.
You, who fell unceremoniously out of a coffin during the sorting ceremony with a little blue fiery cat, and scurried around the school running errands and odd jobs. You, who was once a passing glance, who became one of the things in the school he looked forward to seeing the most. You, with your heart of gold unshaken by the trials and tribulations thrown at you, day after day.
The feeling dawned on him, settling heavily and uncomfortably in their entire being. As the sun began rising, his mind reeled and he closed his eyes, the light bathing his room in a soft, pleasant glow. A warmth enveloped the room, but then a sudden chill ran down his spine. It was then, that he realized it:
He truly and ardently admired and loved you.
Now, he simply had to tell you so.

Hello there, hope everyone is doing fine. This is my new story, Weeping Maiden. The first Arc will be in RSA. Hope you all liked seeing Yuu because it was his last appearance until NRC's arc. The story will be with a Female Reader. It's Yandere themed story.
Summary
You were just a tester for your friend's project. On the last days, you go to sleep and wake up in Twisted Wonderland (the game your friend worked on). But instead of waking up in Night Raven College, you found yourself in Royal Sword Academy. At least before Yuu somehow begs for you to come with him.

PROLOGUE part 1
She wasn't really in the mood but it was a good escape. [Name] could hear people talk about it, pitying her and all. The “poor girl”, and “it must have been hard” were endless, she felt bitter. It was hypocritical of them. Acting like you were sorry, saying they hoped he would be found soon, but not even doing anything to help.
Naturally, [Name] isolated herself in games and other things. Everyone gave up on finding him and after unsuccessful pleas on her part, she just shut herself off to not see any of them. To not face the reality of his disappearance and her family breaking apart. How they all demanded that she move on. It was impossible, so she just stayed locked up in her room.
It has been 3 years now, and she is completely a shut-in refusing to even talk to her parents who ended up giving up on trying to get her out. It was one of those days when she got an email from her friend, she wanted to break someone's record on a speedrun. It was a hard level so she fully focused on it. In the end, she failed in her speedrun. [Name] grumbled when she saw the mail. Reading it, she sighed. Right, recently her friend asked her to be a tester for a game project she did with some company, Twisted Wonderland. It was a gig or some way to earn some pocket money. Up until now, she liked the game, it was interesting.
After sending her report for the game, she returned to her ongoing game when she got a text.
"_ I'm sorry
_ For what?
_ for everything
_ why? What do you mean by that?"
No response. Her friend, Hatsuko, was the only friend she stayed in contact with. It was strange as they never talked before his disappearance. She was the only one who tried to help her find some traces. Maybe she gave up on helping her. The deal between them was that she would be paid 40% less than she should but in exchange, Hatsuko would try to help her find him.
[Name] tried to call her but had no success. Her phone wasn't responding. The young girl panicked trying to call her again and again.
A few hours later, she felt tired. Her eyes were red and puffy and she felt like crying. She ended up falling asleep on her bed.
***
[Name] felt a warm hand on her head. Slowly, a muffled voice could be heard around her. Opening her eyes slowly, she looked at the old man hovering over her.
“_Where…
_You are in the Royal Sword Academy. We found you unconscious in the main hall.
_uh… who are you?
_I’m Ambrose, the Headmage of this School.”
[Name] looked confused as she talked with the friendly old man. She was confident Royal Sword Academy was the rival school from Twisted Wonderland. The game her friend asked her to test for her. At first, she thought she was dreaming, it has to be it. After a long conversation between them, the kind elderly decided to keep her here until she got home. It was funny how her situation mirrored Yuu, the game's main protagonist. The difference was that she was in the RSA,  and that headmaster was a friendly man. He looked more responsible too.
From their chat together, she learned that she was unconscious for three days. Meanwhile, Ambrose researched to know who she was so he could call her parents, but he found nothing, even when he tried to call anyone from her phone contact. [Name] thanked him for his help. At least he was more responsible.
“_So I guess you will stay with us for the time being dear. But as a girl, I can't just let you sleep in a room full of boys.
_Do I have to disguise myself then? I mean, I’m a girl so…
_Oh, dear no. There is no need for that. You will stay in an old dorm.
_I see but…
_You will be here as a temporary student. Don’t worry, we don’t know how this happened but I can’t leave such a young child alone and in the cold. Until then, you will be under this school's responsibility.”
[Name] couldn’t help but feel both anxious and relieved. The old man seemed sincere, and knowing she had a place to stay until then helped her to calm down. The old man walked her to the school after she ate something. She could feel the other students' eyes on her, all of them were curious.
“_Ah Neige. Good, I was looking for you.
_Hello, Headmaster Ambrose. And you are… ah, the girl who appeared in the sacred tree room. Are you okay now?
_Yes, thank you I'm [Name] by the way.
_[Name], Neige will help you around when I’m not around.
_Come to me if you need something.”
It was strange to see them in real life when she used to watch them through a screen. The young girl followed Ambrose after her little tour. The director took her to her future dorm. The difference between here and Ramshackle dorm was too big.
“_It’s a little, I'm sorry but I can’t find anywhere better.
No, no. It's okay.”
Her dorm looked like a mini castle. It was so generous of the old man, that it felt suspicious. But what could she do? He was her only option. Also, the way he looked overjoyed at her presence made her feel kind of guilty. Like she shouldn't be doubting him. [Name] knew he was supposed to be king, but was too kind. They walked into the dorm it was beautiful, with flowers everywhere almost like in a fairy tale. She supposed that it was normal for the big rival of Night Raven College. They were based on the heroes from fairy tales in opposition to the main cast.
“_This is Royaldawn dormitory, it will be your home dear, please take some rest.”
[Name] explored the dorm a little before finally resting in her room. she looked at her locket before closing her eyes and holding the small pendant tightly in her hand.
“_Brother…”
***
Yuu looked different, so lifeless, it was worrying everyone on the campus of Night Raven College. He was in this state for three days now. He was mumbling and mumbling without even stopping about how he couldn’t feel it anymore. He looked particularly on edge if not ready to jump on anyone he saw. The aura around him changed too, it looked darker, more unhinged too. Yuu were becoming unstable and maybe a little crazy too.
“_Hey Prefect, how are you?
_I can’t find it…”
Ace looked at his friend rummaging in the grass looking for something. He never saw him panic like this before, even in the middle of an Overblot. Ace got on his knee and started to search with him.
“_What are you looking for?
_My necklace, it’s a silver locket.”
The two Heartslabyul students looked everywhere for it. Yuu was shaking as he was slowly breaking down. Tears were trailing down as he frantically searched for the lost locket. The more he couldn’t find it, the more he was frantic.
“_I CAN’T FIND IT, I CAN’T FIND IT, I CAN’T FIND IT, I CAN’T FIND IT, I CAN’T FIND IT!!!
_STOP! YUU!!!”
Their scream got the other students’ attention as they helped the two Heartslabyul pin the magicless prefect down to prevent him from tearing himself down. It looked terrible.

Two of a Kind (part 1)
Note: Hi! I know this took a while to be posted. I had an AO3 moment. I'm doing better now just had a bunch of crazy things happen and whatnot. Now here is part 1 of my AU
CW: Mentions of death, reality shit, story changed drastically, I'm pretty sure the characters are OOC just because it's a yandere au, Shit starts changing immediately
@melon14
The light doesn't get any more blinding, even after a while when Grim opens the coffin. You rubbed your eyes and were ready to get chased once more, but you heard something completely different from the game. "What the- Hey! you're from my dream!" That sentence caught you off guard. You didn't expect him to dream of you. What if it isn't a dream? You needed to find out. “What… happened in this dream of yours?” Grim looked at you weirdly, like he felt guilty somehow. “Why are you asking? Why should I tell you?!” Of course, he wouldn’t outright tell you, if he had common sense, he would have tried to figure out why someone he dreamt of and never met was in front of him.
“Just tell me, I need to be sure about something. If you tell me, I’ll share it with you. You have my word.” Grim contemplated if he should, but he gave in to his curiosity. “Fine. We were friends, but towards the end, I ended up killing you. Happy now?” Your eyes widened. He remembers. He remembered the previous loop. It made you so happy, but you needed to be serious. You looked at Grim with an intense stare, well. intense for the cat anyways. “Grim. Listen to me. That wasn’t a dream. We’re running out of time before the upperclassmen walk in, but we need to find a way for me to leave. I’m not from here. I’ll explain once this ceremony ends.” Grim was a bit disturbed by how you looked at him, but even more by your words. You knew his name, you knew what was going to happen next in this situation that seemed so familiar to his dream.
“You can leave, you just have to walk out.” He rolled his eyes, trying to keep a tough front. "That's not what I meant and you know that. I meant to leave this world. It'll make more sense later." You remarked. Upon speaking, you hear the doors to the mirror chamber open, you curse under your breath as you and Grim turn your heads to see who entered. It was the headmaster and the upperclassmen. Luckily, your coffin was a bit out of sight, but your luck ran out the closer they got. The Headmaster looked at you in confusion and astonishment. "Oh my! A student got out! How peculiar!" You quietly groaned upon being caught. You knew the drill. Although, now that Grim is in the same situation as you, you can try something different.
"I'm not sure how I ended up here… Where am I?" You decided to play dumb. Grim was about to say something until you ended up grabbing him into a hug, which in turn would turn his speech into nothing but mumbles. The Headmaster raised an eyebrow at this, but simply ignored it. "My, it seems you have been severely disoriented by the ride here! It is okay, I'll explain everything for I am so gracious." This was similar to the dialogue in the game, but you just simply had to get the sentence out that you had no magic. You just had to play innocent. "You are at Night Raven College, an elite school to hone your magic! I am-" You interrupted. "E-excuse me… I don't mean to be rude… I don't have magic…" You said awkwardly.
The headmaster looked shocked. The students began to talk as you held Grim tighter the more he fought your grip."Well, how can this be! The process never made such a mistake before! If you don't have magic then who is that raccoon with you?" Grim bit you as he said that. You let go in pain and he shouted. "I ain't no raccoon! I'm a monster and I'll be the greatest magician around!" Great, Grim couldn't just play along. It made sense, but you had hoped he would at least listen for once. "He wants to be a student here! I think it would be worth it! He can replace me!" You said. Maybe, you don't really need Grim, maybe if you completely remove yourself from the school, you could finally go back once the story finishes, you've never tried that!
"Preposterous! No such thing has been heard!" Grim had an angry expression and then jumped away from your coffin. "I'll prove to you I can join!" He then commenced the prologue. Fire was everywhere and people were too busy panicking or trying to catch Grim, you decided to take this as your chance to run away and go to the Rival school.
As you ran, no one seemed to have noticed your disappearance, you mentally thanked Grim for the distraction and ran out, that was until you bumped into someone. "Sorry!" You automatically apologized. Then you realized, no one was really supposed to be out here. Who did you end up bumping into? As you looked up, you found an annoyed yet calm Malleus. What was he doing out here? He's supposed to be in Diasomnia! "It is alright." He spoke calmly. "I have to get going! Have a nice evening! Again, sorry for bumping into you!" As you were to run off, Malleus grabbed you by the hood. "Why are you wearing your ceremonial robes?" He asked. You were a tad bit scared, but decided not to show it. "There's some event in the mirror room! I'm not supposed to be here, but here I am wearing these robes." You said trying to stay calm.
Malleus stayed quiet before he picked you up. You were about to say something about it until he spoke. "That must mean the entrance ceremony is today…" He pouted. "I'm not sure if I should trust you, so I'm bringing you with me…" You sighed in defeat. You can't fight a strong magician. Especially one of the top five magicians in Twisted Wonderland. As you were brought back with Malleus, it seemed everything was back to normal before the fire, but everyone seemed to be surprised to see Malleus come, especially with you in hand. "There you both are!" The Headmaster said. "This one says they're not supposed to be here." Malleus said. "Oh yes! They have told me they hold no magic! If that is true, the Magic Mirror will tell us!" There was no need for an order as Malleus walked towards the mirror and placed you in front of it. And once again the game repeats. The reveal that not only do you not have magic, but you cannot be sent back home. You sighed heavily as you heard the shocked chattering.
"Oh my… I can't let you leave since you do not have a home…" You shook your hands in the air. "It's alright! I'll find a way back home on my own! Besides, Where would I stay?" You said in hopes that you would be let go. Your stomach dropped when you heard, not one, but two voices speak up. "They can stay at Diasomnia!" One seemed cheerful, who was easily recognized as Lilia's and the second one Seemed to be Malleus'. "I'm not sure… They're not a student here…" The Headmaster said. You chimed in hopes they would agree. "I couldn't possibly intrude in such a prestigious school! I'll only be dead weight!" Much to your dismay and surprise, Leona spoke up. "We'll teach you to be useful here at Savannaclaw." It was obvious he only offered to one up Malleus, but it was still a bit odd. "They can stay with us! It'll be absolutely no burden!" Kalim chimed in. Jamil tries to hush Kalim, but soon enough the rest of the dorm leaders had wanted to invite you to their dorm. All but Idia, who was against it, but Ortho insisted that you join Ignihyde.
Scratch the bit odd comment, this was very much more than just odd. You turned to the Headmaster defeated. "If I must stay, is there anywhere else I can stay? I wouldn't want to feel like a burden to the people around me!" Students with dorm authority all glared at you, but you didn't care. As long as you stayed quiet and didn't involve yourself with the main cast, you would be fine. The Headmaster thought to himself. "Well there is one dorm, but it's been abando-" Before he finished you interrupted him once more. "I'll take it!" Just like last time, he raised a brown in suspicion, but didn't really question anything. "Dorm Leaders! Take your students to your respective dorms!" All of them listened, albeit some begrudgingly did so.
You sighed as you were taken to Ramshackle and explained everything you have heard before. How you aren't a student, and you'll need to work to earn your keep and all that. You said your goodbyes before you turned to the dark off the form and looked annoyed. "Come out Grim." He came out quietly and looked a bit weirded out. "My dream wasn't really a dream was it?..." You smiled at him sadly and petted his head. "No… Know that I hold no grudge." He normally would have swatted your hand, but instead he looked at you and spoke. "For how long have you been stuck like this?..." You turned away and then looked back after taking a deep breath. "I don't know, I lost track after the 5th death…" Grim was saddened by your response, but he then swatted your hand and looked at you confidently. "I'll help you get back!" You smiled and thanked him for his contribution.
"Welp, let's get you recognized as another employee of the school. It's the only way to keep you here with me." Just as you said that, the fight with the ghosts had begun. You and Grim, like many times before, have coordinated Grim's attacks. And history repeated itself as the headmaster came in and had tested Grim's and your skills before deeming Grim worthy of staying as an employee alongside you. Once the Headmaster left you sighed. "This doesn't get any less tiring. Let's clean our bedroom a bit." You picked up Grim, who didn't seem to mind, but was startled as you both walked to the bedroom. You put him down as walked out only to come back with cleaning supplies such as brooms and such after a few minutes.
While you were cleaning, Grim had asked questions, which you answered with no hesitation. "Did you manage to change the story?" Hey asked. When he did, you remembered the strange interaction you had. "Yes actually. Normally, I just get offered to stay in Ramshackle, but this time, all the dorms offered me their dorm." Grim stopped cleaning and tilted his towards you. "I've never been there to finish the ceremony, that's not normal?" You nodded. "They never offer. It was strange, not only that Tsunotaro ended up being away from where was supposed to be and before I could escape, I bumped into him." Even Grim knew that wasn't normal. "We should get some rest, we need to plan for tomorrow in the morning." You said as you got into bed. "Why not now?" Grim asked. "It's late and we need our energy. Grim crawled up next to you without questioning anything else.
The next day, The only time you had to plan was the walk to the statues. Everything went according to the story. The ghosts woke you and Grim up, the headmaster came in and explained your duties, and now you're on your way to the great seven statues. "Alright Grim, I did come up with something. When Ace comes up to us, we let the conversation flow until he starts to be an asshole, after that we ignore him." Grim groaned. "Do we have to?" "Yes, Grim. We need to play it as cool as possible." You said as you both arrived.
Without hesitation you started to clean. It wasn't bad, Until you heard more than one voice approach. You and Grim turned around to find, not the person you were looking for, but the vice dorm leaders, plus Ruggie and Ortho. You turned to Grim with a surprised look on your face. Trey spoke up first. "Riddle, the Dorm leader of Heartslabyul has invited you for a dorm Dinner tonight." You and Grim looked at each other with surprise. That was until Ruggie spoke up. "Hey! Leona had the same idea! Back off!" The only leech twin at the scene spoke. "Pardon me, both of your requests cannot be met as Azul had invited them to a free VIP meal at the mostro lounge tonight." A fourth voice interrupted. "Kalim wants to throw a party with the guest of honor, I wouldn't make Kalim cry, now would I?" And a fifth. "Non! Non! Vil wishes to assess our dear trickster!" "I want my big brother to have a new friend!" A last voice chimes in. "Oh dear, none of the rest are honest. Malleus simply requests that I convince them to reconsider their choice to stay at Diasomnia!" All hell broke loose as the group that approached you and Grim argued.
You looked at Grim utterly confused as he whispered to you loudly, but only loud enough for you to hear. "This didn't happen last time." You whispered back. "This never happened."
