The Legend of the Prefect of NRC

Legend has it there was once a Prefect at NRC.

The Prefect appeared one day with chaos at their heels.

Not much is known about them as an individual, but they are known for their achievements.

They stopped great calamities that befell the Island of Sage.

At times, even stopped Twisted Wonderland from unraveling.

Not much is known about what happened to them.

Some say they returned from whence they came.

Some say they chose to stay.

Some say they even found romance or traveled the world.

But there is one aspect everyone agrees on.

They were cherished by all who knew them.

And they, in return, loved them just as much.

It is no wonder the Great Seven became the Great Eight in homage to the Prefect and those who lived in Ramshackle Dorm.

A statue of three ghosts, a chimera, and a hooded figure made of marble commemorates the newly established dorm at the Main Street of NRC.

Now you may wonder, what does this dorm represent?

It is based on the spirit of the Prefect of Legend, the one known to tame even the mightiest.

The Ramshackle Dorm is for those who do not belong. Those who have the potential for greatness beyond any normal means.

Now take the hand before you, for you have been chosen.

The Ramshackle Dorm welcomes you.

⚠️TWST BOOK 5 SPOILERS⚠️

Headcanon? Basically how I imagine Vil felt post VDC. Like I understand that Rook was just being true to himself and being honest, and in reality Neige's group performed better, but I just cant help but think about how heartbroken and betrayed Vil must have felt😔 like Rook was his biggest supporter, and Vil put in so much effort to try to surpass Neige, but at the end of the day even the person he trusted the most chose Neige over him😭

It's like no matter how hard he tries, he'll always be second place..

What I really can't get over is how the reason why they lost was directly because of Vil's actions. If he didn't let his paranoia and anxiety get the best of him, if he didnt give up before he even tried, if he didn't overblot and exhaust the team before they could perform— they probably would have won.

I like how twst is a “game about villains”

Because it implies that everyone has the potential to be a villain or could be seen as one.

Even the prefect (essentially “you”)

I also like how it’s a matter of perspective too.

Everyone could be or is a villain.

Briar Valleys saw the humans as villains for invading them. The humans saw the fae as evil due to the rumors they heard and the magic they fear.

NRC sees RSA negatively because of the win streak and their goody act, and you could say some of the RSA students might feel the same way.

We have seen Rollo and his hatred of magic, but at the same time, it was magic that his brother loved.

All of this to say, it’s always about perspective.

Someone’s hero could be another person’s villain.

And we kind of see how that plays out right now, especially in book 7.

In the future, we might see the reverse as well. How RSA, the heroes, are villains too.

I just find this play on perspective interesting.

One mirror and two images, the same and yet different.

Like Mickey and the Prefect.
