Strong, Understanding, Silly & Teasing (M) Reader

IT'S FINALLY DONE! The reader is described as muscular. The reader is implied to be tall. For Crewel; the reader is the art teacher. For everyone else but Vil; you are in their dorm. For Vil; you're related to Coach Vargas and are in an unspecified dorm. I hope this is what you wanted @kawaistrawberry21!

🦯 Ugh, you! He can't stand you! Nah, he's just kidding. He likes you just as much as the average coworker by day, lover by night would. Though, he must say, even if he loves you now, he certainly didn't before you both got together.

🦯 The first issue Crewel had was obviously your abhorrent taste in fashion (to him at least) that's what made him dislike you right off the bat. But as any good dog wrangler would say, he cannot judge a pup by its coat alone. So then, with much hesitancy, he got to know you and you hit it off from there.

🦯 Your silliness is... appreciated, to say the least. It's a great distraction for when he's feeling stressed with work. You always know how to make him smile with your little jokes and eccentric attitude. Don't misunderstand though, he values professionalism quite a bit and will tell you to straiten up when he feels that it's needed.

🦯 You want to tease him? Okay. Just be ready when he teases you in return; he was never one to hold back after all. But Crewel's teasing is never the mean spirited kind, that's reserved solely for Vargas. His teasing is sultry in nature, sure to leave you with glowing hot cheeks and swirling thoughts as you fumble for a come back.

🦯 A feature of yours he most definitely enjoys is your immense physical strength. He's surprised that you teach art and not physical education instead of Vargas. Loves watching your muscles flex when you lift things that would seem immovable by the average person's standards. It's not that he dislikes it, but warn him next time you want to pick him up! You're going to give him a heart attack.

🦯 Crewel is really thankful for how understanding you are. You're such a good listener and you give surprisingly wise advice when he goes to you with his problems. He'll let you lay on his lap in the teacher's lounge; stroking your hair as he rants about the misbehaving puppies he had during his last class.

👑 Seven help him, you infuriate Riddle so much. Seriously! Even though you and Yuu helped him with his overblot he still finds you irritating. He doesn't hate you though, he sees you as a good— no, a great friend. A really annoying one, but he supposes that's what makes you yourself, unfortunately.

👑 You're quite silly, he found that out even before his overblot and at that time he was annoyed by it. Couldn't you be serious for once? The Queen of Hearts's rules are nothing to joke about! But... after his overblot, he really learns to appreciate it. It was you after all who broke the tension in the infirmary when Yuu and the others came to see him; lightening the atmosphere to make room for pleasant conversation.

👑 The teasing. By the seven, the teasing. Please... give poor Riddle a break, you're going to make him burst a blood vessel with how irritated he gets. Stop calling him short, he gets it already! Yes, his hair is red, now stop calling him the names of red fruit! His head is NOT shaped like an apple, dammit! He's glad if you stop after a while, because if you don't he might start losing hair and you might (read as: most definitely will) lose your magic.

👑 Just because you're strong doesn't mean you're allowed to throw him over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes whenever you please! It's scary! It's like he's getting kidnapped or something! But your strength is appreciated sometimes. He definitely makes you carry around or move heavy items for him. Maybe the common room furniture needs to be rearranged again.

👑 Riddle was quite literally moved to tears after you immediately forgave him for his behavior before and during his overblot. You didn't even let him finish telling you about his mother in the infirmary; you just hugged him tightly and said 'I forgive you. I don't need to know your past to understand that you regret your actions. People can change, Riddle.'. He cried. He sobbed. You have no idea how badly he needed to hear that.

"Call me 'shortstack' one more time and it's off with your head, you hear me! And get your arm off my head! I am not an armrest for you to go and just lean onto, you— you miscreant!"

🦁 He doesn't pay you too much mind. Your personality is comparable to Ruggie's, and he has no issues with the way Ruggie behaves and does things, so you're cool in his books. Just don't interrupt any of his naps like Ruggie does, or else.

🦁 A silly attitude is something he's used to interacting with giving his attendant and his neffew being the same way. Leona mostly tunes out any jokes you tell him unless they're about Malleus and the Diasomnia dorm, he finds those pretty funny. He likes when you tell him random made up stories as he falls asleep, they usually influence his dreams so he always asks for peaceful ones.

🦁 Oho? You? Teasing him? No, no, no, sweetheart. He's teasing you. Each and every time you attempt to tease him he flips it around on you and makes you a flustered mess. This man is absolutely ruthless with his teasing and won't let up until he's rendered you too embarrassed to even look him in the eye for the next few days. Maybe you should think twice about teasing him next time, yeah?

🦁 You're strong, are you? Say, you wouldn't mind doing Leona a morally questionable favor would you? If you think he wouldn't take advantage of your strength to further his chances of winning Magishift, you're sorely mistaken. But outside of of his schemes, he loves making you carry him to the greenhouse and his bedroom when he doesn't feel like walking.

🦁 One time, when the two of you were just relaxing alone in his room, he shared the details of his past to you. What he got in response was a 'Well, that explains alot.' as well as a tight hug. After that he tells you all about his insecurities and troubles and you just listen and nod. He's thankful for someone who understands him and makes him feel seen for the first time in a long time.

🦝 You and Ruggie get along pretty well. Sometimes you both meet in the Savanaclaw dorm kitchen and make a meal together or you help him prepare a meal for Leona. Speaking of the lion beastman, you both like to get together and gossip about him. Not in a malicious way of course, but Ruggie always has a full kettle and needs to spill the tea once in a while.

🦝 You're silliness is something he can mesh well with. The both of you are pretty similar in personality anyway, so you definitely get along. You both like to joke around about Leona being your son, with him being the mom and you being the dad. You definitely play pranks on the unsuspecting student body together like partners in crime.

🦝 Ruggie honestly finds your teasing nature to be a breath of fresh air. Being around a grouchy pessimistic person all the time really does a number on his mood after a while. You both partake in playfully teasing one another; never mean spirited and rarely suggestive. You and Ruggie are just here to have fun, why spoil the mood with negativity; that's why Leona's never invited when you guys hang out.

🦝 By the seven, are you strong! Here, carry this; and this; oh, this too. Would you be so kind as to drag Leona to class? Thanks a bunch! To say that he's living for your strength would be an understatement; everything is so much easier now that he can get you to help him. Now hold still and let him get on your shoulders so he can dust the ceiling.

🦝 Dang it stop being so good to him! You're making Ruggie feel bad for injuring all those students! He vents to you about how bad he feels about hurting everyone even if Leona told him to do it. After you express that you don't fault him for following through Leona's orders because he's in no position to refuse, Ruggie jumps on you and damn near sqeezes you to death in a hug.

"Huh, 'Mister Mom'? My son? I don't got a kid yet, 'm still in school, man. —Oh! Pfft! Shyeehyehehe! Are ya callin' Leona a kid! Awe man, that's friggin' hilarious. I guess I am 'Mister Mom', huh."

🪞 You... remind him of Coach Vargas for some reason. That's not a good thing. His eyes are burning, please Stop flexing like that, you look like you're constipated. And please, PLEASE for the love of the seven shave your chest hair, he visibly cringes every time your shirt is open. Vil thinks you're very handsome and could do very well in Pomfiore but it's overshadowed by your agregious lack of tact.

🪞 He's well versed in all sorts of mannerisms, so you being silly isn't a shock to him in the slightest. 100% will he try an make you be more serious in situations that can effect his public image, so be prepared for that. Even though he tries not to smile too hard to avoid developing smile creases, you always make him laugh. Stop that! Stop making him so happy, you scoundrel!

🪞 Vil does not like your teasing nature. Whether it be his name, actions or appearance you're teasing him about, he can't stand it. He's already insecure as it is and here you are 'teasing' him as you call it. The only indication of how bothered he is by it is a sharp glare that's usually too fast for you to catch. Seriously, don't tease Vil; friend or not, you'll most likely end up with ipecac in your tea. Don't push your luck.

🪞 Your strength is nothing to scoff at; he had found. He thought your muscular physique was very easy on the eyes and often tries to squeeze you into a corset to slim your waist down more. In his words: 'Muscular men with small waists are quite a sought after figure'. He'll have you model with him often in position that has you lifting himself and another model or a heavy product that he's advertising.

🪞 Vil appreciates how good of a listener you are. He'll often come to you and talk about how he thinks his dorm members hate him. How he feels a little bad for pushing them so hard. Vil vents about how, one time, Epel had accused him of trying to erase his personality. You only rubbed circles on the small of his back and encouraged him to keep talking. He felt bad... but it didn't stop him from carrying on to do it all over again the next day.

"Alright, my Chivalrous Sweet Potato, you know what to do. I simply can't dirty my shoes, so you'll have to use that strength of yours to carry me over all of this awful mud, understand?"

🏹 Oh, Rook just LOVES you! You bring him so much joy. Though he comes off strange considering the whole hunting you thing, he really means well. He considers the two of you to be the best of friends; connected at the hip, partners in crime, two peas in a pod and so on. Truly you and Rook have the most beautiful, albeit somewhat one sided, friendship.

🏹 He finds your silliness quite admirable and finds similarities between you and Epel pretty often. You make him laugh pretty often when you make jokes about beauty or even the art of hunting. Often times he sits down with you to write silly poems together and read them out loud to each other, or have Vil and Epel unwillingly sit in as the audience. Please release them, they're suffering.

🏹 He loves when you tease him and he loves to tease you back. Rook plays pranks on you pretty often as well. Suddenly appearing behind you, hiding in your bedroom and jumping out to scare you when you get comfortable, shooting an arrow with a bag of glitter tied to it just above your head; you know, the usual. Ah yes, Rook loves a good prank.

🏹 Pilier de force; pillar of strength. That is the nickname he gave you after you picked him up with one hand, like he weighed nothing. Oh, how he swooned in that moment. What a heart throb you are, swooping in and cradling this humble huntsman in your arms. He's definitely suggested you taking up archery on many occasions, you certainly have the upper body strength to pull a bow string properly.

🏹 You have what Rook calls an insightful heart. One full of untainted, unshakable love, compassion and forgiveness. He believes that in a previous life you must have been an angel of some kind with how beautiful you are. Rook has even said your more fair than Vil in his eyes because of your beautiful and noble heart.

🍎 Epel thinks you're pretty cool! No— badass is a better descriptor. You two are best friends! Or at least, he wants to be your best friend. The both of you had never even conversed before he literally ran into you in the halls; he was just too shy to approach you. But then you helped Epel up and introduced yourself and you hit it off from there.

🍎 At first he thought you were going to turn out to be another creep like Rook. However, he was pleasantly surprised by the lack of weirdness. No stalking, no appearing out of nowhere, no breaking into his bedroom. You were just a bit af a goof and by the seven did that have him relieved. You supply him with a great outlet to let all the stress of being in Pomfiore melt away just by being around him.

🍎 Epel is okay with your teasing so long as you don't mention his appearance being feminine in any way since he's pretty insure about it. He can take a joke about his height pretty well but he'll climb on you in retaliation, so be prepared for that. He also loves pranks! Epel will even get Rook to join in if he can.

🍎 Your so cool! How are you that strong! Teach him! Teach him! Please, teach him your ways! If he's as strong and muscular as you he'll be manly for sure! Here, lift this bookshelf right here. Yeah, it has books on it still but that'll make it even cooler when you lift it. Ah! No! Don't pick him up! He'll bite you, he swears on it!

🍎 You're such a good listener; has anyone ever told you that. Epel is surprised that he feels comfortable enough to confide in you about his insecurities. How he feels about his appearance and how he feels about the way Vil treats him. And by the time he's finally got everything thing off his chest, Epel cries into your shoulder as you simply pat his back and tell him to let it all out. You never chastise him for not acting masculine enough; in fact, you never bring his appearance up at all.

"Woah! That's so cool! How can ya even lift that much weight? D'ya think I can lift that too? Ya gotta teach me how! I know yer gonna be the best teacher f'me, so let's get started!"

🐉 Are you talking... to him? Are you sure, you do know who he is right? You know, Malleus Draconia, scary dragon fae, immensely powerful mage, Diasomnia's prefect and heir to the Valley of Thorns's throne? Oh. You really are taking to him! And you're not scared of him? This must be some kind of blessing from his grandmother, right? No, it doesn't matter, he's thankful either way.

🐉 He doesn't mind your silliness, it's such a nice change from the near constant fear that's directed towards him whenever he goes somewhere that's not Diasomnia. You make him so happy he can't even put it into words. When he's with you he's sporting a constant toothy grin because that's just how powerful of an effect you have on him. Please keep goofing off with him, his heart wouldn't be able to take it if you got bored of him.

🐉 You remind Malleus so much of Lilia when you tease him. Perhaps he should introduce the two of you! He knows that you never do it in a malicious way; it's just for fun. Malleus definitely indulges himself in teasing you back. For him it's playful banter between soul mates.

🐉 Oh dear, you've got quite the strength in you, haven't you, Child of Man. Perhaps, only if you wanted to, you could be trained to wield a sword and join his guards? Though, you don't have to, it's only a suggestion. When you scooped him up in your arms one time like he's as light as a feather? Oh he's over the moon with joy that you're even near him, let alone sweeping him off his feet.

🐉 Malleus finds it really endearing that you listen to his trivial issues. You must be bored of his voice by now with how much you've allowed him to drone on and on. He's not even speaking of his troubles anymore, he's telling you about what his day entailed. Surely, Malleus always finds himself wondering, you must have things to share as well. Please share your troubles with him as well! He wants to be a supportive friend like you!

🦇 You two get along like white on rice! Seriously! You and Lilia are nearly inseparable! Except that one time he rendered you bedridden with one of his culinary abominations; you were out of it for almost a week. Lilia felt kind of bad of course but the face you made kept him laughing the entire time you were ill.

🦇 The two of you are the silliest people in Diasomnia, it seems. Not that he minds of course; having you around will help him on his mission to get Malleus and Sebek loosen up a bit. It's healthy to be a goof every now and then, it just so happens that you're like that nearly all the time.

🦇 You'll rarely succeed in teasing Lilia. You can rarely catch him off guard or fluster him. Even your pranks are unsuccessful most of the time. But don't give up yet! It really amuses him to see you so passionate about getting one over on him. Lilia prefers to tease you instead, it really makes his day. He'll also insist on playing pranks on other together rather than alone, it's just much more fun that way. The few times that you can tease him, it's the funniest thing he's ever experienced to be honest.

🦇 Well, aren't you strong. He may offer to train you with a sword like he did with Silver and Sebek. Whether you want to train to be one of Malleus's vassals is up to you, but he did offer.. You've got physical strength, yes. And you might be able to be him in an arm wrestling competition. But! Can you defeat him in this new video game that the youngsters say are all the rage? He's serious. Can you beat him?

🦇 You're quite compassionate, aren't you. How sweet. Lilia often finds himself coming to you and talking about his concerns with his three children. He's thankful that you hold no ill will towards Malleus and Sebek because of how they come off. Though he rarely does it, Lilia sometimes tells you about his experiences in the war. Sometimes he'll be reduced to tears from the haunting memories of his fellow fae being slain, but you just hold him tight and let him cry. Lilia's thankful for that.

Budget for love

Characters: Male reader, Yuu!reader, Ruggie Bucchi, Grim

CW: Skipping meals, existential dread, money problems

Word count: 2,032

Notes: I heard a voice one night, urging me to write a Ruggie fic...that voice was mine. I just like Ruggie.

Ruggie Bucchi's financial status is, by no means, a secret.

Ever since he enrolled at Night Raven College, he's garnered a reputation for being a money-grubbing cheapskate who can reduce any merchant to their knees through his skill at haggling alone, all due to his lack of financial security.

Growing up in the slums will do that to a guy, he supposes.

Along with that, growing up poor has also instilled in him a certain pettiness and resentment in regards to the more privileged classes, which just so happen to make up a very large portion of NRC's student body.

Joy.

Well, if nothing else, this makes it easy to simply view most of the other students as potential pickpocket targets.

However, this also makes it easy to forget that not all of them are more well-off than he is, meaning it's especially jarring when he comes across a certain Prefect and direbeast having an argument in Sam's on-campus store.

"C'mon, Henchman! You're telling me we can't afford ONE little extra can of tuna?" Grim argues while clutching said can of tuna to his chest tightly.

"Yes I am, Grim. With our budget, we can barely even afford the bare essentials for this week. That 'one little extra can' will push us over the edge for sure!" The Prefect argues back with the look of a tired father trying in vain to reason with his stubborn child, "Listen, I get paid for my work at the Mostro Lounge on Friday, right? I know you've still got some of your secret stash left, so if you can hold out until then, I'll get you a can of the fancy tuna as a reward. How's that sound?"

That last statement causes Grim's face to light up as he immediately drops the can of regular tuna and hugs the Prefect while exclaiming, "Deal!"

Ruggie doesn't do anything. He simply watches, mildly dazed at what should have been a fact he already knew as the Prefect finishes paying for his essentials and leaves the store with Grim as Ruggie continues to stand there before being brought back to his senses by another student telling to him to move out of the way.

Ruggie doesn't see the Prefect again for a few days after that, their schedules never seeming to allow them even a passing glance in the halls, but the memory of what he saw that day still lingers in his mind for a reason he can’t quite identify right now.

The next time Ruggie does see the Prefect is in the cafeteria during lunch.

It's one of the rare occasions where he hasn't been ordered by Leona to get his lunch for him, so he's taking his time, scanning the tables for a place to sit when he notices the Prefect sitting across from his feline companion while said companion munches away at his food.

Seeing no other open seats, Ruggie walks over and says, "Long time, no see, Prefect! Mind if I sit here?" He asks despite not waiting for the other man's answer and plopping himself and his tray down in the spot next to him.

"O-oh! Yeah, that's fine." The Prefect responds before turning his head back to Grim as he eats, but Ruggie can't help but notice the lack of food on his side of the table.

"Dang, Prefect! I wish I got here sooner so I could've seen the carnage!" Ruggie remarks while playfully nudging the other man's shoulder.

"Huh? What do you mean?" The Prefect asks confusedly.

"Oh, come on! YOU finishing your food before GRIM? I can only imagine how much you stuffed your face to make that happen!" Ruggie concludes with a snicker before taking a bite of one of his sandwiches.

The Prefect blinks a couple times before responding, "Oh, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I didn't get lunch." He says, causing the hyena to choke on his food.

"W-whaddaya mean you 'didn't get lunch'???" Ruggie questions after chugging his water.

The Prefect shrugs, "Just what I said. We have some leftovers at Ramshackle that I could’ve brought, but we were in such a rush this morning that we couldn't even eat breakfast, much less prepare any lunch and running back between classes would take too long. Therefore, we had no choice but to buy lunch from here, but I had barely enough cash to get food for one of us and it'd kill me to see Grim go hungry, so I figured I'd be fine if I skipped a meal or two." He concludes nonchalantly.

Ruggie proceeds to sit there, dumbfounded, as the Prefect goes back to watching Grim eat, his face content, but with a hint of melancholy.

Ruggie knows that look. He's seen it countless times in his childhood on the faces of some of the adults in his neighborhood as they forwent their own food just to let their children eat.

He doesn't remember seeing a lot of them around last time he went home.

His mind snaps back to the present as he looks down at his lunch tray piled high with the food he bought using money he'd snuck out of Leona's wallet and then back at the empty space in front of the Prefect, his stomach suddenly not feeling as empty as before.

Wordlessly, Ruggie takes two of his sandwiches and slides them over to the other man, who looks back at him in bewilderment.

"Ruggie? What's this for?" The Prefect asks.

Ruggie clears his throat awkwardly before responding, "W-well, it's just that it turns out I got more food than I'll probably eat, so I thought 'why not', right?" He says while forcing his signature laugh.

Luckily, the Prefect doesn't seem to read into his awkwardness as his suppressed hunger resurfaces on his face and he proceeds to practically inhale the sandwiches after giving a rushed "Thanks!"

In a matter of seconds, the sandwiches have completely disappeared, leaving Ruggie both amazed and...oddly fulfilled upon seeing the Prefect’s own satisfaction from having a full stomach.

Huh...that's new.

Ruggie's been so used to pinching his and other people's pennies at this school that helping out seemingly the only other student that's in the same boat as him, even without getting anything in return, feels...nice.

Nice feelings like this are few and far in between with a lifestyle like Ruggie's, so now that he's felt it, he proceeds to chase it whenever he can.

From that day onward, Ruggie makes a point to help out the Prefect if he has the time, starting with offering him a simple snack between classes or pointing him in the right direction if he gets lost, before slowly escalating into him stepping in to haggle Sam's prices down for him and even taking his hand and physically leading him to where he needs to go, not noticing the increasingly flustered looks on the other man's face.

He doesn't know when exactly it happened, but after a while, that simple nice feeling turned into something more...warm and fuzzy that he feels blooming in his chest as he and the Prefect grow closer, finding more and more time to spend with each other, whether it being studying together or going out to the market, until one night, they find themselves gazing up at the stars on the hill just outside of Ramshackle.

Looking over at the stars reflecting in the Prefect’s eyes, Ruggie can't deny how beautiful they look. And what he also can't deny is the fact that he's grown attached their owner.

He can’t help but imagine what the future could hold for the two of them.

But then he remembers who the Prefect is.

He's an otherworlder. The one destined to leave this world behind in favor of the one where he actually belongs.

As someone who gets frustrated quite quickly, Epel isn't a stranger to outbursts especially when they were in a different accent or language. He just didn't expect his sweet, shy boyfriend to also be that way.

Epel had been practicing magic to, trying to show off how manly he was when a bunch of Savanaclaw meatheads started making fun of him. At first Epel and his boyfriend had ignored them but then they had the audacity to grab Epel's broom and almost made him fall.

One time you come back bringing a wholeass couch and it’s somehow in mint condition - he’s more bewildered by the people who’s throwing the trash than you at this point

It’s definitely not for him but as long as you don’t bother him and that you’re happy, he doesn’t say a word about your habits.

He tries not to be too judgemental since there’s all kinds of people in NRC and he feels like he’s definitely seen weirder things by now

He’s a little confused but he got the spirit! Spirit of what exactly? Spirit of supporting you and respecting his upperclassmen obviously

He’s somewhat stiff around you since you’re older and he doesn’t want to offend you in any way - so you make an effort to make him more comfortable around you

You’d tell him about what you find in your little adventures and he seems to be amused by the kind of stuff people easily throw away here

“That’s part of the magic! Plus, once you get used to the stench and filth, it’s really not all that bad.”

He believes and trusts your words but he still won’t try it for himself. He’ll leave it all up to you and your expertise

Sooner or later, with enough storytelling, a smile on his face becomes a common look for him whenever you’re around

You’d even bring him back stuff you found that you think he’d like (after thoroughly washing them and bringing them back to the best condition of course)

Whenever you see him use the stuff you give to him, whether it’s a decoration in his room or it’s on his person, you feel a little proud of the bond you’ve nurtured with him.

Ruggie Bucchi

He understands the need to stoop to that level but when you tell him you don’t even need the stuff you collect and just do it for fun, he’s silent for a bit

Still won’t judge you for it! Plus sometimes he gets the good stuff from your scavenges so he’s not complaining

Once he gets curious enough, he’ll tag along on the diving… and it’s not as bad as he thought it would be

It’s stinky and dirty but sometimes he really hits the jackpot in some of the dumpsters. It’s like a thrift store but even cheaper somehow

“(Y/N), look at what I found! Are you seeing this right now?”

You unironically become dumpster-diving buddies and the two of you would review the stuff you got after each session to decide if you’re going to keep some or not

You guys can probably get a lot of clout if you start a YouTube channel

You two grow a lot closer after enlightening him of the joys of dumpster-diving, which you aren’t too surprised about since it’s a common bonding experience for you raccoon beastpeople

But as you look back on your memories of junk-collecting and look forward towards Ruggie's laugh, you can’t help but laugh with him.

I don't believe Leona would quite understand exactly what you were having a problem with, or that there was a problem at all at first. But! He can read body language pretty well, so even if he doesn't know exactly what's wrong, he still understands when you're uncomfortable. He'll let you come to him first and explain what's going on to him since he doesn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. However, if you don't, he sits you down and carefully asks you what's up.

After he knows about your occasional bouts of gender envy, Leona will make a habit of asking you how you're feeling every day gender-wise. No matter what you feel like identifying as that day (be it NB or MASC since this is a masc-leaning ask) he'll reinforce it with casual compliments and comments about how handsome, masculine, or manly you're looking. He'll give you gender-specific pet names that correlate with how you feel, like my boy & handsome and He'll target whatever you feel envious of when he compliments you.

If you tell Leona about how you wish your voice was deeper or that you were taller or more muscular, etc. He'll huff at you and hold you in his arms, lamenting about how you already have the perfect voice since he finds it so easy to fall asleep. How your body is already perfect because you make such a great pillow to lounge on. About how if you were to change yourself, you'd be depriving him of how wonderful you already are.

Leona's still getting the hang of it, but he's doing his best, and he'll continue to do it for you. Your happiness is his and he'll be damned if his herbivore is feeling unhappy.

I feel that Ruggie is exceptionally good at reading people, so he knows what's going on fairly quickly. This hyena beastman will make sure to let you know that he knows what's wrong and that you can come to him for refuge whenever those feelings get too intense. He'll make sure to give you all the space you need if you ask for it because he figures that it can be hard to feel like you're not who you're supposed to be.

Like Leona, Ruggie will also ask you how you're identifying every day. I feel like he'd help you style your hair in a style that goes along with how you identify before you start your day. He'll make sure to add little notes in the lunches he packs for you about how masculine/feminine/nongender specific you look that day or leave a little “Have a good day, boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other of mine!” If he sees you looking enviously at another student, he'll try and carefully pull you away from them and distract you with something else to get your mind off of it.

No matter what you tell Ruggie that you wish you had, he'll respond with how he's glad that you're the way you are because you're the same person that he fell in love with. But even so, he'll listen to you with open ears and let you get out all of your negative feelings before he showers you with love and affection and words of affirmation. He doesn't go anywhere until he's sure that he's brightened your mood.

Ruggie will do anything to make you feel happy with yourself. He loves everything about you and loves the things that you're insecure about even more. He'll make sure you know that as well.

Like why do you choose to be a menace to society today of all days?

You decide to pull this prank while he is baking for an unbirthday party

He’s just trying to make a strawberry tart for Riddle

Cause there is never a bad time to pull this prank (unless he’s doing homework)

So you walk into the kitchen not saying anything as you set everything up

He just looks at you with a raised eyebrow while rolling out the dough

How it happened:

“Can I help you Cookie?” He says while looking down at the dough waiting for your answer.

“Yes. I just need your reaction to my presentation” you said walking over to stand next to him after clicking record. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you said keeping a straight face. Trey looked up to the screen then over to you with a smirk (Trey smirking is really hot, but he scares me a little).

“Go on” is all he says.

You click to the next slide “Nobody. My boyfriend is the bestest boyfriend in the world and cheating is wrong.”

“Next slide.” He says while he gets the tart crust ready to be filled and put in the oven. Clicking on the next slide, there is a selfie that you took with Cater for his MagiCam. Trey’s movements only falter for a second as he briefly glances at the screen. “Is that so?”

With his limited reaction you know that you’re fucked. He stays silent as he finishes the tart and then puts it in the oven.

“Trey?”

“Yes?”

“Are you mad? It was just a prank.”

He walks over to you as you take a step back hitting the counter. He traps you against the counter by putting his arms beside your body. “Of course not Cookie. It takes a lot more than a measly prank to make me mad. Especially at you” he smiles (not a genuine smile) then kisses your head before walking off to go check on the rest of the party preparations.

You really regret letting Cater talk you into this. (Or maybe you don’t. I wouldn’t).

Cater Diamond

You and Cater were just chillin in Ramshackle

You got bored and then remembered that Lilia had paid you to prank your boyfriend. You and him set everything up at lunch that day.

So you got up from the couch and Cater just looked at you with a raised eyebrow as you ran around getting everything set up.

Now much like Idia, he knows this prank. So he isn’t surprised when he sees you recording and then the first slide of the presentation. He just puts his phone down and crosses his arms with an amused smirk on his face.

How it happened:

“It’s Trey isn’t it?”

You freeze right as you were going to click to the next slide. The look you gave him made him chuckle. He clicked to the last slide for you and was not the least bit surprised to see his best friend.

“If you wanted to fuck my best friend so badly all you had to do was say so” he said standing up. “I’ve got some things to do, I’ll see ya later tonight” he pressed a quick kiss to your lips “love ya sweetness” He winks before walking out the door leaving you dumbfounded. You have no idea if he knew this was a prank or not. (He 100% knew and just wants to fuck with you)

Ruggie Bucchi

Another Why would you do this?!

You’re even cruel enough to bring him doughnuts before you go through with it. His tail wags because his favorite person brought him his favorite food. And then you have to go and ruin it.

Ruggie is very insecure of himself and his position in the relationship so you better tread lightly.

If you use Leona for this prank (which you do because Crewel made it your job to get Leona to come to class. Leona said if you pulled this prank on Ruggie he would go to class. Which was partly a joke because he didn’t think you’d go through with it since you love your boyfriend more than you care about Leona and his grades. Leona fake gagged when he said that part to) Ruggie will be a hell of a lot more insecure about himself. Because of course you would rather be with Leona. He’s a prince. He can give you a lot more than Ruggie can. Jack and Leona can literally (not really) hear Ruggie’s heart break when you go through with this.

Honestly, I would rather take all of Crewel’s punishments than to see Ruggie’s ears flatten against his head and his tail droop as tears form in his eyes. Crewel’s punishments cannot compare to the pain of seeing Ruggie’s broken expression.

How it happened (if you used Leona):

You texted Ruggie asking you to meet at Ramshackle saying you needed help with something and that you made him something to eat. He obviously finished with his chores as quickly as possible and rushed over. His tail wagging rapidly when he finally made it to your dorm. He walked in and sat on the couch when you told him to before you brought him the doughnuts. He took the plate and started eating and asked what you needed help with. You had everything already set up when you hit record and clicked on the first slide. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with.” Ruggie stops chewing and looks at you. You go to click on the next slide, but realize you deleted the necessary second slide and it went right to Leona. Your heart dropped. “Ruggie, the second slide is missing” you frantically clicked away at the computer not seeing the hurt expression on his face and his ears droop. He silently set the plate of his favorite food down and slipped out of the dorm.

By the time you had the sense to turn around he was already gone. You had tried calling and texting him while making your way to Savanaclaw. You had even tried to call Jack and Leona to see if they could help. They refused to answer your call. Ruggie had ran into Jack on his way back to the dorm who took him to Mostro Lounge to try and cheer him up. Jack texted Leona who felt somewhat at fault (it was like 20% his fault) who begrudgingly got up from his napping spot and joined them in the lounge. After the annoying amount of texts and alls Ruggie received from you he turned off his phone and picked at his food that was brought out to him. After what felt like an eternity (it was only about 20 minutes) of you searching for your boyfriend, a certain butler I mean eel twin sent you a text with a picture saying “I have a certain Hyena who looks like a kicked puppy. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about it would you?”

You quickly made you way to the lounge, practically busting down the door (you would get an earful form Azul later). You quickly looked around spotting the three furry friends. As you ran to the table you had to stop and catch your breath once you reached them.

“Seriously _____? What the hell is wrong with you” Jack said as he looked at you.

Finally catching your breath, you were about to speak before Leona cut you off. “Well herbivore, I can’t believe you went through with it.” Causing Jack and Ruggie to look between the both of you with confused expressions.

“What is he talking about ____?” Ruggie asked still looking beaten down.

“Crewel told me I had to get Leona to class or I would get in trouble. So I told Leona that and he said if I went through with the prank that he would attend school.”

“I didn’t think you would actually go through with it” Leona mumbled.

Ruggie stood up and got close to you. “So you didn’t mean it?”

“Oh Rugs, of course not. I love you so much” you smiled at him. Ruggie’s ears perked up and his tail wagging once again latching onto as tightly as he could. You reached up and pet behind his ears while giggling. Leona fake gagged out loud, Jack smacked his arm. “I’m sorry Ruggie.”

“It’s okay, I’m sorry for running out like that” he buries his face in the crook of your neck.

“Do you want to go eat the rest of the doughnuts?”

His head perked up and he nodded rapidly. Grabbing his hand you both walked out of the lounge and back to Ramshackle.

How it happened (If you didn’t use Leona)

“Good luck with that!” He is laughing to the point of tears “you’ll go deaf like a minute into the first conversation you have with him shishishi.”

“This didn’t go as planned” you said smiling at him.

“You owe me cuddles for wasting my time” he set the plate on the coffee table and held is arms out.

Rook Hunt

He knows this is a prank

But yes, amuse him. He needs some entertainment to stimulate his brain. He’s gonna have a field day with this.

How it happened:

You and Rook were in his room as you sat everything up he was watching you from his position on the edge of his bed. You hit record and pulled up the first screen. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you looked at him he sat with a smirk on his face. You clicked the next screen “No one in the world is more handsome or better than my boyfriend” you looked at him.

“Well don’t keep me waiting mon amour” he says leaning forward placing his elbows on his knees resting his head on his hands.

“You know about this prank don’t you?”

“Oui, but I am curious as to who you decided to use.”

You clicked to the last slide where the queen himself was perched on his throne. A picture you used from one of his recent photo shoots.

“Let’s play a game mon ange. You hide and I’ll find you. I do have to teach you not to pull something like this” Rook says standing up from his spot. You didn’t even bother to grab your phone as you ran out of his room and out of the Pomfiore dorm. He walks over to your still recording phone with a smirk and a wink before stopping the recording. Little did you know that before he went to find you he stopped to have a little chat with the queen in question.

Jamil Viper

Let’s say you were over at Scarabia doing who knows what. When you got up and set everything up he just looked at you with a sigh. He’s tired okay. All day he deals with Kalim’s shenanigans and then when he wants to have a chill night with you after finally getting Kalim to sleep you have to act like a brat. After hitting record you click on the first slide. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you say before clicking on the next slide. “Nobody. Because I love him and only him.” He sits looking unamused when you click to the last slide where a picture of you and Kalim (that he took cause you two were being cute instead of stupid for once) was the whole slide.

He takes a deep breath as he stood up walking over to you. He stopped your phone from recording while looking you in the eyes. You took a step back while keeping eye contact (because he has pretty eyes). And would you look at that, you are now affected by his unique magic. RIP you I guess.

How it happened (if you didn’t use Kalim):

You skipped into the Scarabia kitchen where Jamil was making dinner for the dorm. He heard your footsteps as you hit the entrance of the kitchen. “Don’t even think about it.”

That stopped you in your tracks. “Don’t do what?” You tried to play dumb.

“Don’t open that slideshow” he said, all while not turning around and focusing on the food.

“How did you know?”

“I heard Ace blabbering to Floyd at practice today.”

“Damn it!”

Jade Leech

RIP you. Like you have absolutely no chance of living. Neither does the poor soul who’s picture you used

Once you finished you got Jade’s attention and hit record. Clicking the first slide you didn’t have to say anything as he read the title out loud. He took over and clicked to the last slide where you had a picture of Rook. Jade sat staring at the screen for a few seconds. “The hunter?” He raises an eyebrow then looks over to you. “My darling, if you wanted to be treated like prey all you had to do was ask.” He looked at you with a menacing smile. You royally fucked up dude(gn)

Floyd Leech

Shrimpy thinks they’re funny.

Shrimpy thinks he won’t resort to murder.

Out of both of the leech twins, Floyd is most likely to resort to murder as a first reaction. Yours or the other person I don’t know. But tread lightly. Floyd would only share you with his brother. So if you use him then you might be safe. If not then I will make sure you and your fake lover have a wonderful funeral.

How it happened (if you used Jade):

Floyd was over at Ramshackle draped across your lap complaining about Azul making him work over time. (Azul actually only made sure he worked the required shift he had). You had a brilliant idea since Floyd was in a relatively good mood. You got everything set up while he was on his mini tangent cussing out Azul and got his attention by kissing his forehead. “Whatcha showin me Shrimpy?” He rolled over to be able to see the screen. Clicking on the first screen Floyd read it before you could. He laughed a little “Shrimpy has a death with do they?” He clicked through the next few slides and found it was Jade on the screen.

You sat in silence as he professed the information. “Floyd?”

“If I knew my slut wanted to get fucked by my brother I would have let it happen earlier.” He said extremely serious. He stood up and turned off the recording. He threw you over his shoulder and walked out of Ramshackle to the botanical garden where Jade was.

“Floyd it was a prank I swear! I won’t do it again!”

“Oh no, Shrimpy wanted to play” he said before his smile dropped and he looked like he wanted to kill something. “So we’re gonna play.”

“It’s just a prank Lilia” you spoke nervously, feeling small under his gaze.

“N-no I’m not” you stammered out.

Gonna be honest, this man is probably gonna fall asleep as soon as you start the prank.

But let’s say by some magical force he does stay awake. You have to hurry to get through just in case.

Silver was sat on your couch and watched as you went through the first to slides. He started dozing off so you clicked to the last slide that had a picture of Bat daddy (Lilia). Silver smirked.

Doesn't appreciate being called little… but with a sugar daddy boyfriend who'll let him snuggle whenever he likes, he'll be your "little hyena" as often as you like.

Floyd is that kid who sees something, and is like "what would it be like if I bit that?"

So imagine a merman, who has hyperfixations on biting things, seeing a fae for the first time ever in one of his first year classes. Azul spends weeks trying to keep you two apart.

When the time comes, and Floyd has chomped down on your arm, you find it hilarious. As a fae, you barely felt it, and as a prince, you'd never had someone bite you before. Instant friendship between you two . (Tried to bite your horns one time, was very pouty that they hurt his teeth)

You never question him when he nibbles on you. And it becomes a comfort for him. Bored? Find sea dragon, and steal one of his fingers to nibble. Sad? Snuggles, and nomming on your shoulder, please!

Realizes how he feels when he loses all motivation when you have to return to the Valley of Thorns to celebrate your brother's betrothal. He just mopes around the lounge, until you come back, and immediately tells you how he feels. So no more leaving him, okay!

Really excited that he is now allowed to bite your lips…🥺

You wanted to study a merman, and Jade wanted to study a Draconic fae. While your intentions were much purer than Jade's, it's still a beneficial arrangement.

As a thank you for his help in learning about mermaid culture, you present him with a terrarium full of Valley of Thorns mushrooms. That's what breaks him.

But if anyone is able to outdo a fae in observation and outlasting…. It's Jade. Jade waits, and waits, and waits some more…and strikes when he's showing you around his home in the ocean.

"I'm certain you've received grander proposals than this, but I would love the honor of being your boyfriend."

He planned everything. He picked a beautiful spot where the bioluminescence of the ocean, and himself, would make him irresistibly mysterious and ethereal. But it also backfires and further accentuates your own unearthly features. Now you're both simping.

"I accept your confession, Jade. Although, if you're using me to get to my mushrooms, I'm not too sure my brother would take kindly to it."

Both of you laugh, as though you each know a secret, but Jade instinctively wraps his tail around your legs and brings you closer….and it just feels right.

Azul starts out thinking that you will be in an easy in with Diasomnia and Malleus, but it turned out you could be just as unapproachable as your brother. Oh well, he loves a challenge from time to time.

Not long in to researching you, you join the board game club and challenge Azul to a chess match, here you may or may not have talked in enough circles that he reveals the scheme.

He thinks he's blown int but you suddenly start making weekly visits to the Monstro Lounge. You order the same thing, make a cryptic comment and leave. It's like clockwork, and Azul can't help but feel you've hypnotized him with this routine.

He grows so comfortable with this routine, that he has your table and food ready before you arrive, and serves you personally. (The twins give him hell for it.)

When you invite him out….he thinks he's going to die. He tries to keep up the business man persona, but he's such a simp. He's stuttering and fumbling, until you tell him how dear he has become to you, and how beautiful you find him. Then he stops fumbling and becomes a blushy mess that feels all warm and fuzzy inside.

The twins give him hell for it (pt 2).

People are not this warm and affectionate in the Valley of Thorns. You probably fall first honestly. Like Mal falling for Yuu, you fall for Kalim and spend all your time in Scarabia.

You play Mancala with Kalim, and play as long as he wants/takes to win. Kalim loves that you don't get bored or annoyed with him.

During the phase where Kalim is being hypnotized and has memory loss, he notices you aren't around as often, and starts to realize how important you are to him.

After Jamil overblots, you come to see him immediately, and do a magical checkup to make sure he's okay. Kalim asks why you've stayed away so long, and his heart breaks when he sees your sad smile as you say, "You, yourself, told me I was no longer welcome."

Kalim cries and hugs you tightly, telling you he didn't mean it, he loves you so much!

After he calms down and gets to a good mental state, you both have a conversation about your relationship, and realize you both love each other the same. Happy ever after for two squishy boys!

You met when Lilia invited you to see his band. Jamil was sitting in the audience for Kalim, and you two had a great conversation before he lost his hearing from Lilia smashing yet another guitar.

Jamil is still trying to be average and unnoticed when you meet, so you don't see him much after that. But he sees you. He is enthralled by your natural skills, and even though you're a rich kid, (prince) you carry yourself with an air of self awareness and kindness, and he can't help but think that in another life…

Stops that line of thinking really fast. A prince would never be with a servant. But in the days before his overblot, it's definitely you he's thinking about when he thinks about what he can accomplish with his freedom.

After the overblot, you doctor him up, and replenish any empty magic stores that could be a problem. Then you do his chores for him. If he wasn't whipped for you already….

You catch him watching you dreamily, and call him out on it. Then you take his hand and cup his cheek and tell him you feel the same.

"I'm not worthy-"

"I am the second born prince of the Valley of Thorns, a member of a long line of Draconic fae. If I say you are worthy, Viper, then you are worthy."

The way you say it, it's like you are weaving a spell to make it true, and make him believe it. If that was your intention, it worked.

Definitely a friend's to lovers situation. Silver being raised around you, and both of you at least starting at a similar emotional age (you've passed him, but such is the way of the fae) you were close for the entirety of Silver's life .

He has a sense of duty to Malleus and Lilia for his position, and he definitely still has a little bit to you due to your position as second born, but it's not as heavy for you, so he can mostly relax around you.

He realizes he's in love in a first year flight class when he fell asleep on his broom, and woke up in your arms after you caught him.

It's a year later, and he's stoically escorting you to the library, when you decide to play with him a little.

"There's this little prince I've had my eyes on…"

Silver's a good knight, so he won't say anything, but deep down he's disappointed. All he'll say is something like, "I'm so happy for you, Prince Y/N."

Then you'll start describing him, and he'll falter. You cup his cheek and look deeply in his eyes and say, "My little Prince is named Silver, and there is no one else I'd rather have by my side."

Oh.

OH.

Silver probably reaffirms his undying loyalty, then turns a bright red when you take his hand as you continue your walk. Honestly, I ship this one the most.

╰┈➤ RUGGIE

“That's odd. I thought I put my cleaned shirt here. Where is it…?” you scratch the back of your head as you look around your room for your shirt. however they were nowhere to be found. “Did I misplace it…?”

you heard whistling passing by your bedroom. you assume that it was ruggie carrying a basket of laundry to leona's room. you peek outside your room and you were correct, it was ruggie. however, there's something different about him.

he's wearing your shirt! how are you not surprised? he always took your stuff. you called for the male, “Ruggie…”

“Hm? Yes?” ruggie questioned when he heard you calling his name. “Do you need anything?”

“...You know exactly what I need.” you deadpanned. yes, he knows exactly what you need. ruggie looks away, “I have no idea what you're talking about~”

“Do you always need to steal my stuff?” you sweatdropped.

“Shishishi~ Finder keeper~” ruggie snickered. you sighed, knowing that you can't stop him from stealing from you. you are dating after all. the shirt looks cute on him, too.

╰┈➤ JADE

“Ah…where is it?” you questioned while looking under your bed. you were looking for the blazer of your dorm uniform, but they were nowhere to be found. “What the hell? I'm sure it didn't move on its own.”

while you were searching for your blazer, floyd walked by your room and spotted you looking under the bed. the teal haired male slowly sneaks behind you and taps you on your shoulder, causing you to jump.

“Hehehehe~ Gotcha~” floyd grinned. you huffed, “What the fuck, Floyd.”

“Whatcha looking for?”

“My blazer. I put it in the exact spot.” you pointed to your desk before going back to search for your blazer.

“Ah…I think I saw Jade wearing it.” floyd said, pausing your search. you accidentally hit your head in your bed and turned to the teal haired male, “Eh? What did you say? Jade has it?”

“Yeah. That blazer couldn't fit him. It was too big,”floyd stated.

“Ara, ara~ You noticed.” jade peek in your bedroom, wearing your blazer on his person. he stepped into your room to reveal the full view of himself to you. “I just thought it be funny to see how you react to find out about your missing blazer~”

“Give it back—” you wanted to get it back, but now that you took a closer look at it, it looks cute on him, “On second thought, keep wearing it…”

“Oh? Did you find it cute on me?” jade chuckled. you blushed and looked away.

“Ew…did he turn you on?” floyd cringed.

“Shut up…”

every time. every freaking time, he wears your clothes without permission. why? it all happened last week when he tried on your clothes. when you find him wearing your hoodie, you don't bother telling him to take it off. instead, you called him cute which led him to keep taking your clothes just to be called cute again.

“You really took it personally…” you sweatdropped when you noticed floyd wearing your oversized night shirt with shorts underneath.

“Well? Well?” floyd asked, waiting for you to call him cute. you chuckled, rubbing the back of your neck, “You look cute.”

“I know, right~ I'm cuter than anyone?” floyd beamed.

“Yes, way cuter.”

hearing you called him cute put a huge smile on his face. how the fuck can someone like floyd be so fucking cute? you can't handle this much cuteness.

╰┈➤ JAMIL

“Huh…? Did I get it mixed up with other student clothes again?” you asked yourself while holding up a hoodie that is most definitely not yours. it was jamil's hoodie. he must've accidentally taken your hoodie. “This is Jamil. Maybe I should give it back to him…”

you folded up the hoodie and went to jamil’s room then knocked on the door. the tan skinned male responses to the knock, allowing you to come in.

“Uh, sorry for interrupting. But…I wanted to let you know that you mistook my hoodie as yours—” you paused mid-sentence when you realized that Jamil was being comfortable in your hoodie.

“Did I…? I don't think I did.” jamil tilted his head fiddling with the strings on your hoodie. “I think it's fine…”

“You sneaky snake…” you blushed while clutching on your heart. jamil smirked, knowing that he won. you'll get him next time.

╰┈➤ SILVER

your hoodie was missing. you don't remember wearing it until fall. how is it gone now? did someone steal it? did you move it? did you leave it somewhere? so many questions going on in your head and you don't know where to look—

“Are you looking for your hoodie?” you jumped when you spotted lilia hanging upside down on your ceiling. you always hated when he did that. lilia chuckled, “Why don't you check on Silver and see?”

“Silver…?” you tilted your head.

just as lilia says, you went to check on silver. there better be a good explanation for this. you entered silver’s room without knocking, but surely silver wouldn't mind since he's always be sleeping. “Silver…?”

you noticed the silver haired male sleeping in bed wearing your hoodie, “Ah…So that's where my hoodie was…Cute…”

you quietly grabbed your phone and took a picture of your silver haired boyfriend and posted it on magicam.
