He's a really chill and silly guy but somehow crazy good with money and business. Like, if you give him 10 bucks and tell him to do whatever he wants with it and come back with 100 bucks, he'll somehow come back with 10000 bucks and become the CEO of some company. And, yeah, he's got these goofy ideas that somehow just work.

He appreciates how you’re one of the more level-headed guys around, though if only you could lay off the joking and teasing

But as long as you don’t cause him trouble he doesn’t mind you as much - and you end up proving to him that you are the very opposite

One day, he asks you to run him a errand (with fair compensation, of course; he is the soul of benevolence after all)

It’s quite simple - fetch him a sum of money Sam owes the Mostro Lounge (you don’t question how and why a fully-grown adult owes a seventeen year old money)

And so you go over to Sam’s. You won’t lie, you’re a little curious of what this debt entails. You’ll see if you can squeeze some details out of Sam

You meet up with Sam, all smiles as per usual. Though when you mention that you’re there because of the debt, he takes you into the shop’s backroom instead

He gives you an envelope, stuffed with the goods no doubt. He seems insistent on not letting on anything - but then you hit him with a classic move

“Now, now, we’re not in a rush, are we? I don’t even work for the Mostro Lounge. Least you can do is entertain a guy. I’ll keep my lips sealed.”

Sweet-talk and half-truths are a way to a salesman's heart after all. It’s true that you don’t work for Azul but that’s only because you have other businesses going on right now

Sam gives in with a sigh. It seems as if he’s been carrying such a secret for a while and needs an outlet. And you are definitely here for it

You come back to Octavinelle, skipping merrily (if not physically, at least you were on cloud nine mentally) and carrying more than just an envelope. Azul, on the other hand, is borderline seething for whatever reason. Little does he know

The moment you reach his office, you toss him the envelope and is about to leave - until he sees not one but the two enormous bags you carried in your hands that are definitely filled with money

Distraught, he questions you on how the hell you manage to score that much money. You shrug while walking towards the exit. It's just a matter of persuasion and creative thinking.

Business is so easy, you thought.

Jade Leech

Similar to Azul, it’s nice to have someone who has their shit together - plus, he finds it amusing when you mess with Azul. It reminds him of Floyd’s antics

Once in a while, you’re a pleasant guy to just sit down and have small talk with, though at times he wishes you would let on about yourself more

For his information, you only let slip when you want to; and he finds that out himself one fateful day

He jokes that if there’s anyone who could overpower Azul and steal his authority over the Mostro Lounge, it’d be you. You chuckle knowingly at this

Feeling a little playful, you propose to him a bet - if you manage to do so by next week, he owes you ten thaumarks. But if you don’t, you owe him ten thaumarks

He lets out a carefree laugh, amused. He reserves his assumptions and agrees to play along with you for the next few days

He doesn’t see you in a while. Not intentionally - he genuinely can’t find you anywhere, though he only attributes it to the fact that there’s only so much time he can use to look for you

After a whole week has passed, he seats himself where the bet initially took place and waits patiently for you to show up. True to your promise, you come waltzing up to him casually, your hands in your pockets and a friendly smile on your face

You slide next to him as he asks you how’ve you been and the two of you update each other on your wellbeing. Then he starts chuckling, a hand over his mouth in true Jade fashion. You smirk in response, knowing too well what that chuckle is for

And in true you fashion, you pull out ten thaumarks and extend them to him

…wait a minute. That’s ten thousand thaumarks.

You savor the sight of a Jade with his mouth agape. You snicker at his bewilderment as he tries to process what’s happening in front of him

“It’s true that I didn’t usurp Azul’s power or anything - but that’s only because I’m not interested in the Mostro Lounge. I’d rather have it as a rival than my property.”

After he gets over his initial shock, he offers you a sinister, toothy grin. You respond with a finger to your lips. He nods understandingly and takes the money from you with no protest.

Floyd Leech

You’re more low-key compared to him but he still appreciates having a fellow pain-in-Azul’s-ass

Of course, it depends on his mood still, but his tolerance of you is pretty consistent despite everything. You take it as a compliment

On one of his good-mood days, he’s chatting it up with you and laying out potential ways to mess with Azul more. You bring your own idea to the table

“How about this? I get a common word used by literally everyone trademarked and anyone who dares utter it has to pay me. And that includes Azul himself.”

He guffaws at your ridiculous idea and voices his opinion. You laugh yourself and don’t deny it. It is pretty far-fetched… but you have your ways

Plus, he has to admit that would piss off Azul super bad it’d be worth the trouble

The two of you hang out from time to time as usual when behind it all, you’re setting up Azul’s eventual downfall

Or not. You don’t actually care about taking Azul down but it would be pretty funny. Also you’ll get to impress Floyd in some shape or form which you care more about frankly

Once the deed is done, it’s announced everywhere you could think of - you did it under a fake name of course. But the money you’ll be getting can’t be any more real

What did you trademark? The word “so”.

When you relay this story to Floyd, he lets out a howl of a laugh you could’ve mistaken him for a wolf - he has no idea what strings you had to pull to actually manage that but color him entertained

…until he realizes that he’d also have to pay you every time he uses that word. Then his mood goes down instantly

You shrug that realization off by giving him a pass since he let you entertain the idea in the first place.

Ace was pissed. Why? Because he was fucking stupid.

He was stupid. Duece was stupid. And that weird kids with the weird mask and the fucking fire monster was fucking stupid.

Because someone thought it would be a great idea to run away from their clean up duty (Grim (ace quietly chose to ignore that he had tried to do the same thing first)) by hiding in a chandelier was a good idea, and someone else thought hurling him into said chandelier with questionable at best magic was an even better idea.

So now ace trappola was running for his life in a crystal mine, with only the same people who got him into this situation in the first place here with him.

These feelings only seemed to be amplified after duece decided that the crystals were worth more than his life! Also it didn't exactly help that he had seen the magicless guy almost get impaled with one of the oversized pickaxes that...that thing was swinging around.

"My....m.y..Give me back..my. STONES"

The adrenaline rushed through aces body like a wave, it's only purpose being to make sure he survives dammit! He doesn't even care if he gets expelled anymore. His brother has told him enough stories about NRC to write a novel. Ace had come here with a picture already painted in his head and this was not it.

He made a sharp turn left. They had walked down this tunnel on their way in right?

He saw a little light poke out just around the next turn.

Yeah, they had come through this way.

Ace heard a small yelp and the sound of dirt being scattered and a small thud of someone hitting the ground.

He didn't look back. He just kept running.

He kept running until he came across the small cottage that they'd gone into earlier. Duece stumbled in right after him. The masked boy and the fire cat-weasle thing on his shoulders.

The guy was covered in dirt. He's probably the one that fell.

Ace was bent over, panting like he had just ran for his life, probably because he did, but he's pretty sure he heard duece half gently set the kid, whose name he still didn't really know, down before he joined ace in his desperate attempt to catch his breath.

Ace closed his eyes. What the hell is happening right now? Why was he here? Why did he have to go tease that weird magicless freak this morning and pick a fight with their freaky cat?

You know what? Fuck this. If he gets expelled, so be it. There are plenty of other magic schools, including ones closer to home. He'll be just fine.

Duece however, didn't seem to get the memo.

"It was right there...we have to go back!", duece had so much determination in his voice...

Ace felt his eye twitch. "Like hell we do!"

Duece snapped his head towards him, and the mystery bro was still sitting on the floor, now cradling grim like he was an actual cat.

"Yeah, no. Sorry, but that crystal ain't worth it"

"So...so you're just gonna take the expulsion lying down? Just like that!? What are you, some kind of coward!?", duces voice got progressively more angry, which ace thought was bullshit.

He thought he was being perfectly reasonable with his choices, thank you very much.

"Uhhh. Yeah! Sorry not sorry, I choose life!"

I mean sure, his brother is gonna look at him all disappointed and shit, but hey, at least he'd be alive to see it.

Ace looked back at Mr. Mask-Man, who was still quietly petting grim, acting like they weren't even there.

It kind of pissed him off a little.

"Hey", he looked up, Ace count see their eyes, but somehow he knew they weren't making eye contact "do you have any better ideas? Or are you just gonna sit there the while time and not do anything?"

Was he being unfair? Probably. This guy (he should really ask for his name) wasn't even supposed the be in night Raven college, not to mention here? And he probably didn't want to be here any more than he did.

Did he care about that though? No. Not right now anyway.

Ace expected him to just put his head back down and go back to petting his freaky weasel. He expected them to just shrink up on themselves while ace went back to yelling at duece.

He did expect the guys head to perk up the smallest bit, he didn't expect the sudden feeling of very intense eye contact either.

And he definitely didn't expect him the nod and stand up so fast ace almost stumbled back.

But you know what the absolute last thing he expected from this guy? Going back to the mines.

Going back to the mines and waiting with duece for grim and the masked guy to come hauling ass back up the hill with the ...inky monster in tow. Because that's what's going to happen. Apparently.

...fuck. This guy was some type of maniac wasn't he?

Ace just glared at the ground. There wasn't anything he could do about it now, but he was still gonna be pissed if he died with a possible psychopath currently running towards him, and this blue gumball son of a bitch standing next to him.

"Bring me....my...stooones!"

He took a deep breath, possibly one of his lasts.

But I mean hey, might as well go out with a bang right?

The next few minutes all seemed to happen in slow motion, and somehow ace could already see the moment when the reality of all this would all hit him. At 3 am or something like that. Probably.

...yeah. 3 am.

"Ace watch out!", a panicked, exhausted voice called out to him. Probably duece.

His head snapped over to where his dormmate was. What's happening?

The answer seemed pretty damn obvious, when a large shadow seemed to swallow him whole, a product of the monsters looming stature.

Ace froze. Seeing his life start to flash before his eyes. Memory after memory replaying in his mind.

You never really know how little you've lived until you see it all right in front of you...

BAM.

Aces eyes shot open (when had he closed them?) To see Mr. Mask standing just roughly six meters away from him, holding a...

...uh....what the hell was that?

BAM. BAM. BAM.

The loud noises rang out one by one. One right after the other.

Ace booked it to the side, trying to catch his breath.

Only for it to get caught again once he looked up.

The creatures head, the glass ink jar, was leaking. It had six small holes in it, and cracks spiderwebbing out from said holes. As the cracks grew larger, the glass began to break off, and more and more ink began to pour out.

"Duece!"

Aces eyes snapped to their third member, who responded immediately with another cauldron.

The head finally shattered. And the monster disappeared.

Slowly, aces gaze fell on the Ramshakle resident once again. Blinking slowly as he watched the guy put the...loud..thing away, before picking up grim once again.

Ace opened his mouth, and before he could even begin to realize what he was doing, he asked, "what was that?"

You called it a gun.

Ruggie:

Listen. Ruggie wasn't new to violence. You can't live in the slums all your life and make it out completely sheltered, no matter how hard your parents try.

And sure. Ruggie wasn't exactly a saint himself, But at this point, was anyone? He certainly didn't think so.

Yeah. Almost getting killed by leona fucked him up a little. But really, it wasn't that new when he really thought about it.

And yeah, leona never really apologized to him for all that, but at times like that, in an environment like savanaclaw? He didn't need to. His actions, no matter how small they were, still spoke for themselves.

So yeah. Ruggie bucchi has a lot of experience with violence.

But if you were to ask ruggie if he's ever seen anything like this before? Yeah. He'd have to answer no.

Everything was going shit. They were following the plan, he did his part flawlessly might he add, and then Azul decided he didn't want to follow the script. So now he was surround by black ink, panicking students, and slightly less panicking... allies? Allies.

But yeah. This sucked.

And so began the fight for his life once again. Honestly, this shit was getting old.

Whipping his head in every which way to look or for flying debris and tentacles (and wasn't that a sentence), and keeping his ears open for shouted commands and warnings, his attention landed on you for half a second, before quickly turning away; In that half second he saw you pull something out from jacket pocket.

About five seconds later, he heard a loud bang.

And not like when the construction workers accidentally drop a metal beam on concrete or something. No, this was just a loud, earth shattering bang that demanded attention. And attention it got.

Several heads snapped to you, holding a...uhhh. You tilted your head to the side, either in confusion or trying to get an angle on Azul.

BANG BANG

And then there was a scream, distorted and pained, with a faint sound of gushing and sloshing, a liquid being spilled. Ink being spilled out of the overblot phantoms head.

"Huh...the other one just died immediately..", he heard you mutter.

Ruggie shot a pointed look over to leona, who just looked at him in confusion. Ok. So he didn't miss anything during his housewardens little episode. He took a quick glance at the heartslabyul duo, who looked like they understood. Well, Ace understood. Duece wasn't close enough to hear and didn't have the hearing to pick up the slack.

Ok. So maybe yuu also decided to whip the thing out when riddle when crazy? He'll ask around later. Probably.

A tentacle slammed right next to him and started writhing around with another loud scream as the phantom lost more and more ink, and Ruggie remembered where they were.

The damage you did the overbloted octopus wasn't enough to downright defeat him, but it was enough to at least make the rest of the way a hell of a lot easier. So they're odds were looking much better than they were. Small mercies.

When everything eventually came to a head and the ink was beginning to melt off of Azul and he could finally breathe, he let his mind drift back to you.

Ok. What the hell. What was that? Why did it make that noise? What did it even do? How'd it shatter thick ass, magic glass? Did it launch blades at it or something? Also, why are you pretending like this whole thing was completely normal?

You weren't freaking out about this, you honestly seemed more focused on combing the gunk out of Azuls hair with your gloved fingers while the twins tried to asses his mental state, grim flopping on the ground off to your side. Now, this is probably your third, or maybe even fourth time you've been in this situation. But perfect, you treating it like it's just another Tuesday isn't exactly. Uh. Normal?

Not that you were normal, you had just began taking regular baths, which he was immensely grateful for. Seriously, he could only hold back leonas hair as he puked so many times before it got old. But even your (lack of) personality raised a few questions. Sometimes he wondered if you where really even there half the time.

After he caught his breath, he began to walk over to where you were, Ace and duece now scolding you and jade trying to check if you were hurt or not, and holy shit that is a big ass gash.

But he was already standing right behind you, so he honestly might as well ask.

"Hey. So uh. What did you do? What made the bangs?"

Your head snapped in his direction, pausing to just stare at him for a few unnerving seconds.

And then you pulled something out and called it a gun.

Jade:

Jade didn't really question why you wanted to join his club, he was just glad someone did. Even if that someone was a fucking weirdo like yourself.

Listen, jade wasn't picky when it came to his clubmembers ok?

Plus, aside from a few conversations about a bird or plant species you liked, and many more questions about basic things that you had apparently never seen before, and him acting like he knew any better than you about it, things went smoothly.

He collected his mushrooms and occasionally stopped to do a fieldsketch and you rolled around in moss and somehow became an instant bird whisperer. It was a good system.

About as good as it could be while you were running from a big ass monster.

Ok. Listen. He knew that there were monsters on this particular mountain, and he knew that some of them were man eaters. But dammit he did the research before hand! He made sure the two of you avoided their natural habitats at all cost! But apparently, this particular one could smell human blood much better than the rest, and apparently, you thought it was a good idea to not tell him you had cut yourself on a rock and were now bleeding.

"There's a cave right there!", he saw you point to an opening in a rock wall that was most definitely the small least cave he'd ever seen "do you think we could hide in it for a minute"

"I don't know!", you didn't really have any other options, running forever until you reached the place where the mirror had dropped you both off was more than inconvenient, especially on a mountain that had more steep cliffs than average. So he quickly signaled to you and began running towards it, awkwardly running into the small hole and barely seeing you baseball slide your way into there with much more ease.

Desperately trying to catch his breath, he started to plan. You only had a few minutes at best before the monster caught up to you, so the best thing they could do with the time they had was treat your wound to the best of his ability, and hope that the smell of blood would gradually fade and the beast would be thrown off your trails.

He looked to you, hunched over and sill slightly panting as you loaded small, but long pointed metal cylinders into...something?

You had stopped wearing the mask, being one of the few people you trusted enough to see your face, which was sweet if he thought about, you were even getting better to look at! Looking a lot less like you had come back from the dead after the apocalypse and more like a recovering drug addict, but hey! Progress!

But he point is, he could see your face, and the look on your eyes, and...

Ah shit.

Perfect. Listen perfect, he knows you're batshit crazy, he is too, but please, you're going to get them killed. Even with your insane amount of luck, your half baked plans only work most of the time so for the love of the sea witch please just-

"I have an idea"

...Dammit.

So that's how you both got here, kneeling just barely out of the cave opening, and him standing on the Rocky formation right above you outside the cave. Waiting for the monster, and possi ly for death. If he survives this the first things he'd doing when he gets back to his dorm room is write his will so that he can make sure his precious mushrooms aren't thrown away by his brother. Would riddle accept them?

"Jade!"

He blinked, got his magic pen ready, and you cocked your gun. Staring at the place where the sound of heavy footsteps and snarls were coming from.

You both waited with baited breath as themonsters form came running up the steep hill and charged towards the two of you.

The sensation of water and earth magics filled the air as spell after spell was released, hitting the creature a good majority of the time. Meanwhile, you were shifting slightly, getting into a position that didn't look the most comfortable, but apparently it worked for you because you quickly gave him a small warning shout.

Jade covered his ears. You had warned him about the sound guns make, and how many people went deaf fro them due to lack of proper equipment and training, you sounded like you were repeating a quote that was all but drilled into you, a saying that everyone knows but never really says out loud. Did he belive you were exaggerating? Slightly.

That went away when he heard the loud boom though, even through his covered ears. Jade grew slightly concerned at the fact that you didnt seem to be too affected by all this.

You didn't seem too surprised at the loud noise. Just angling and adjusting the gun position until you could hit your target more accurately as it moved.

He heard ten shots go off. Out of those ten, at least seven actually hit. The monster, being as huge as it was, was about to ignore the first three. The rest, however, were clearly starting to take a toll on the thing.

He saw you pull the trigger a few more times, nothing more than assumed clicks coming out. Jade couldn't be too sure, as the pained roars of the monster completely drowned out the sound. Wordlessly, he got took his hands away from his ears and readied his magic. Letting it burst all around him and borage the monster as soon as your hand shot up into the air. The signal that you needed to reload and he had to momentarily take over.

The whole event took about fifteen minutes that felt like they were stretched into hours. Ending with him feeling a bit lightheaded, and you firing three extra shots into what he was pretty sure was a monstrous corpse. "Just in case".

Wanting to sit down and take a moment to collect himself was only just outweighed by the urge to make sure you were alright. So, jade jumped down from his little rock podium; he reached the ground just as you completely crawled out of the cave entrance.

Gently, he asked, "are you alright perfect?". A perfectly appropriate question to ask after...that.

To which you, in reply, completely flop down on the rough ground and let out a loud groan, both of you pretending that there wasn't a dead, three-metter tall monster right next to you.

An equally appropriate response.

"Four magazines jade! Four! I'm going to have to make soany bullets now!", jade only nodded, like how you do when he starts ranting about his beloved mushrooms.

Oh well, he'd understand soon enough. He has plenty of questions regarding you and you gun for the walk back to the mirror location.

Kalim:

Kalim felt like was caving in on him.

This was all happening so fast, way too fast. The one person that he thought he could trust whole heartedly, the boy he saw as nothing less than a brother, had done all this.

It was a lot to take in. Everything from his supposed verdict of keeping his dorm members in school, to yuu and grims vague comments, comments that he now recognizes for the warnings they were, to the guys from octavinnle, jamil overblotting, getting flung to the dessert, and now to be back here? Fighting for not only his, but his best friends (were they though?) Life?

Kalim just wanted to cry. The drop the the floor and cry. But he'd already done that and there was no time to do it again now. Not when he could see the ink and the snakes sucking out more and more of jamils life, when he could see jamils body begin the break down and contort in ways that shouldn't be possible. Not when his eyes grew more deranged with every second.

No, Kailm couldn't cry now. Not when Jamil was dying.

Magic attacks meeting the emotions of dread and rage that jamil had kept professionally buried only served made the air more tense. Yuu occasionally shouted directions from he sidelines, directions to use fire magic instead of water, or to dodge an incoming attack that very well could have killed him if it made contact.

And that just raises the question. Did jamil..? Was it his intention to kill him? Was that his goal the entire time?

....No. No, if Jamil wanted Kailm dead, then Kailm would be dead. He didn't want Kailm gone he just wanted him to go away. And for that reason, Kailm had the hope that he needed that he could fix this. And by the seven he'll cling to it for as long as he lives if that's what it takes.

"Perfect!", Jades sharp voice took Kailm right out of his thoughts.

"Yeah? Kailm move to the right!", he moved to the right, just in time for a borage of ink and thron covered vines to come crashing into the exact spot he was standing not even five seconds prior. The vines writhing around like they were alive, and he could see the sharp, jagged edges of its thorns cut into its self with the ease of cutting through soft butter. Not that he would know. "What do you need?"

"Do you have your gun?", Jade svoice was deathly calm, which was a bit jarring all things considered.

He didn't know what a "gun" was, but he guesses floyd knew, because he groaned louder than some of his youngest siblings when they had to get up early.

From out the corner of his eye, he saw you stop for a few seconds. Then you answered.

"Yeah", something in your voice that he couldn't quite read. "Yeah, but I only have like five shots"

Both jade and azul looked less than pleased with that, and Kailm still didn't know what was going on, so he just threw more fire at his friend.

"Well then. You better make them count", azuls matter of fact voice rang out.

He didn't see if you nodded or not. And for the next minute, he didn't hear you at all. There were no more instructions being shouted or anything like that. Just the continued onslaught of four peoples magic, all trying desperately to snap Jamil out of his current state. Who was being bent into more and more inhuman shapes as the seconds passed.

His jaw was opening a little too wide as he laughed, his fingers seemed to be getting longer and more claw like, and his voice was so now so distorted that he could barely even understand what he was saying.

But what freaked him out the most what the loud cracking and crunches of bones breaking. Jamils spine now seemed too long, bent in an unnatural way, accompanied by a crack everytime he moved. He only laughed.

Kalim didn't laugh. There was ink running down his body, all from where he had been contorted. And as time crawled on, his eyes grew more and more crazed, and his distorted laughs turned more like screams.

Kalim wasn't the best at magic, he had never been the best at magic, he knew that, even before now. So when he felt himself become light headed as his energy and magic supply ran low, he started to panic.

Oh no. Oh sevens, oh no. Please no. Not now. Anytime but now. He couldn't lose now. What would happen to jamil? How would he get Jamil home after this?

How was he supposed to tell Jamils family that their son and brother was dead?

BANG

A distorted scream ran out as floyd began to cheer, and his stomach dropped.

BANG BANG BANG

More screams. Blood curdling screams that froze Kalim where he stood. Watching jamils face begin the crack, ink pouring through the cracks on his face like blood as his eyes rolled back and his entire expression turned to one of pain. A perfect mirror to the shattering phantom that loomed behind him.

"I have one shot left and I am not wasting it! Aim for the cracks! Use fire! It'll weaken the glass!", your voice rang out, carrying a determination with it, but also the reality that they were in no way out of the woods yet.

"You mean the magic glass?", azul was skeptical

"Its magic fire", Kailm could hear the shrug in your voice.

Kalim is ashamed to admit it. But he wasn't much help after this. Jamils vpice had random breaks from the distortion. So he had a perfect audio of jamil screaming his vocal cords raw in his actual voice. Something that would haunt him until the day he died.

Ink was still pouring out from his wounds. Bones were still breaking. And it almost looked like Jamils body was melting off of him in a grotesque manner.

Kalim closed his eyes and prayed.

Eventual, the distortion completely went away, so the screams and the sobs seemed less monstrous and more tortured. Jamils attacks completely stopped as well.

And with one final bang, so did yours.

When Kalim opened his eyes again, I was only after jade prayed his hands off his ears, something he doesn't even remember doing.

Azul and yuu were standing over jamils blood covered body, and for a second, he feared the worst.

It was only after you kneeled to check if he was still alive, and he saw Jamil moving did he allow himself to breathe, and to finally cry.

Through blurred vision, he saw you put the gun away. He never asked what it was. He didn't need to know. You saved Jamils life with it, and that was good enough for him.

Rook:

Rook enjoyed beanfeast. Honestly, he could say it was one of his favorite days of the year. What other time? What other opportunities would he get but this? To hunt his fellow classmates for sport like this? To see their determination wither away as they accepted their fates as his prey!

Now, normally rook would go solo on this. Others found it a bit hard to keep up with him until now. Until yuu.

Ah his dear little trickster and his admirable kill or be killed mentality that he had taken up as of late! My, when rook had looked into his eyes, he saw nothing less than the eyes of a killer! A tiger on the hunt!

Or perhaps, he mused, a lion. Because there, right underneath them, was leona kingscholar himself.

Yuu has proposed they move from above, to stay in the wooded area and maintain the high grounds. Yuu had made his way up a tree with the swiftness and elegance of a bird taking flight! Walking steadily along the branches like he was simply made for it.

Together, the two of you had taken out quite a few farmers. With rook silently stalking them and you communicating your predictions with hand signals that he could understand blind. Those predictions of what the farmers would do, or even who would be in the area were proven true to an uncanny extent.

Rook wanted to know how, but that conversation could be saved for a different day.

Rook could barely see you chest rising up and down as you breathed so slowly you might as well haven't have been. He himself was holding his breath as you both angled your bean blasters. The slightest noise could tip the beastman off, after all.

You had temporarily split off to different trees, him being about a dozen meters away from you, just to the left of Leona, while we're were to the right.

He saw you hand slowly raise up, carefully avoiding the rustling leaves as you gave another hand signal. Thos one being significantly more simple than the majority. Just three fingers raised to indicate three seconds. Three seconds and you both shoot. You closed you hand, starting the timer.

Three.

The two of you, perfectly in sync, found your final aims of the beastman.

Two.

You carefully placed your fingers on the trigger. Taking caution not to shoot too early. The last thing would want to do was ruin this seemingly special moment for the two of you.

The wind blew in you direction. Thre leaves began to rustle, and leonas head shot in your direction.

Three.

You both pulled your triggered in perfect harmony, and, like a beautiful dance coming to an end, the mighty lion had fallen. And you both ran across the tree branches, making your ways to eachother as soon as possible.

The happy, adrenaline filled giggle you let out when he finally found found you again was nothing less than precious. Not to mention it fit the moment. Oh how he wishes you would stop trying to compose yourself all the time! The world deserves to see your joy!

He let out a laugh of his own, being rewarded with a smile that you couldn't help. This imagine of you in perfect juxtaposition with how you looked upon first arrival to this world.

And, if he may, rook would like to say that your face was shaping up to be something he wouldn't mind staring at. Ah, recovery was a marvelous thing indeed! He couldn't wait to see your progress by the end if the year.

When the laughter subsided, you took you hand and laid a gentle kiss to the back of your fingers, as a small congregation and a job well done.

"Yes, very nice monsieur. That was very nice indeed", his soft voice suddenly taking on a more mischievous note to it, a not that you matched with those shinning eyes of yours. "Now, I belive we have more game to secure, yes? Let us be off, my dear trickster"

You smiled, the corners of your mouth moving into a smirk. Your eyes, however, he'll the glee of a giddy boy, finally getting to experience something he was robbed of long ago. Rook only hoped that much later in your life, when you think of how many shots you've ever fired, this day will be included.

So smile, dear trickster, that all he asks. That's all you deserve.

He loves watching do heavy work. He could easily do it as well, but there’s something so hot about watching his small boyfriend lift things twice your size. You make his work days so much more fun

Floyd didn’t love you any more or less after he found out about your secret strength. You’re his boyfriend through and through and nothing’s changing that, no matter what

On that topic, he enjoys your help with the more physically grueling tasks. He could do them himself, but he enjoys having your help. It gives him an excuse to be with you and take just a little bit longer in his tasks

While Jade is happy to have this knowledge about you, his feelings towards you hadn’t changed in the slightest. He loves you so much, no matter how strong you really are

When Lilia had forcefully released him of his duties, Sebek immediately went to search for you. He didn’t expect to hear that you were getting picked on. He sprinted over to you, ready to teach those lousy students a lesson…but then you literally one punch man-ed them

Sebek is a mixture of things. He’s shocked, confused, angry, and relieved. Why didn’t you tell him about this massive strength you had?! He could’ve worried less about you and focused more on his duties. Well, at least you’re okay

Jade Leech

Admittedly, Jade was a little nervous the first time you told him you wanted to see his merform. Outside of Octavinelle, no one else at the school had seen him in his true form. But as his partner, he guessed it was okay to show you.

After class, he took you to Octavinelle, hiding his fear and nervousness behind his usual toothy smirk. You had no idea that Octavinelle had tanks for the students to transform in but it made sense. Despite not all Octavinelle students not being mers, a good number of them were.

He asked you to close your eyes so he could get ready. There was a splash and then he told you to open them. He was absolutely beautiful and sadly couldn't fit in the tank very well due to his length. His tail was hanging out of the tank and you reached up to touch it. It wasn't scaly like you thought meds were, but instead really smooth and slimy.

"Are you happy that you finally saw my mer form?" He asked. His smile widened as you said it was and for once since you said you wanted to see it, it was a genuine smile. "I'm glad you're not scared. Maybe we can go swimming together sometime."

Floyd Leech

He was overjoyed when you mentioned wanting to see his mer form. "So Shrimpy wants to see what I really look like~? Sure~!" He's really excited that you're curious and has wanted to show you his mer form for a long time. Sure, he's a little nervous that you won't like it but not as bad.

He's so excited to take you to the dorm to show you that he might be gripping your hand a little too hard. But of course it's Floyd. When does he not squeeze you? he'll loosen his grip a bit.

However, instead of taking you to the tanks, he'll immediately take you to his and Jade's shared room. Of course, Jade's not here so Floyd takes his chances and heads to the bathroom. In it was a large tub, obviously for more privacy in mer form. You hurried to cover his eyes as he started the water and got ready to transform.

Splash. "You can look now, Shrimpy~ You're not going to see anything weird~" You uncovered your eyes and saw your boyfriend in the tub, looking almost ethereal in his mer form. You leaned over to touch his tail that was hanging over the edge and once you touched the slimy appendage, Floyd grabbed you and pulled you into the tub as well getting your clothes wet as he giggled. "I'm glad Shrimpy likes my mer form~"

Oh, Jade is the eel with a plan at most to all given moments. Most of the time is when dealing with his fellow students, preparing for tests, and predicting when his mother will end up calling him during the day based on holidays. His instincts are sharpening with Azul as his "boss" and Floyd being at his side, and he is quite sure it'll only get more intense as he knows Azul is looking into expanding the kitchen and tables...

He's extremely displeased when he thinks on what he wants and what he's expecting of his own relationships when Azul asks him to reflect on the last year. Sure, it definitely wasn't what Azul meant to reflect on, but Jade has done all his paperwork and had time to think to himself.

He is displeased with himself when he realizes: he is without your hand in his and he actually finds that... devastating. The thought came when he felt the bitterness in his chest and he put a word to it. The realization that he's actually quite lonely without you goes unsaid to everyone but himself, and he plans.

Oh, he plans. And he makes them as well as he always do...

Weeks. It takes him weeks一maybe a little over two一to ask you to join him for a shopping spree and perhaps stay to cook with him. Floyd and Azul need to be fed after all, and Jade would greatly appreciate the company. His smile after you agree is sweet, if not a bit toothier then his fake smiles.

His first step was taking you out into the many cities he's studied about that sell great foods at lower prices, without really sacrificing quality. The city is great and it's off in the mainland, so the breaks for schools all over the world led to the streets being filled with people and noise. Laughter from groups of kids, haggling vendors, men yelling about their stocks, and it all just blends into the background as Jade takes you ingredient shopping.

It was a good haul you both got, especially with Jade's eye for quality in vegetation, and heading back to campus was a quick call to Floyd... and then a call to Azul because Floyd sent him to voicemail, away. Back onto campus was nice and refreshing, and you head with him to the Octavinelle kitchen to help him cook.

Step two: making sure Azul and Floyd, and some extra staff, are ready to do the decorating while he distracts you. And as you both pass his twin and friend, he gives them a specific signal to send them off when you both disappear. And you both walk to the back.

Cooking is easy to Jade and he puts on gloves (food safety first) as he sets you into peeling anything that needs peeling. Anything that needs to be chopped you already know about, and he watches you in utter glee. Yes, he may have burnt one side of his salmon for his plate, but he will gladly take it as you both have a good laugh at his expense.

The talks you two have are as animated as always, and your an upstanding man as you take your licks from his dry humor just like he takes his own. He takes the gloves off, takes the plates in hand, and makes a gesture towards the main dining area...

"Come with me," Jade says as you look inquisitive at him, "We have a dinner to eat."

Coming into the main area, Jade feels like everything is coming together. Yes, the gentleman's club aesthetic is nice and already high quality for a potential date, but it's something you see every day you walk in. The couches quality eventually escape you, and the dishes aren't as fancy as they once were.

But not tonight. Not on Jade's watch and not on Azul's pride.

The area near the couches is pushed back, and it was replaced by a high table and cushioned chair not dissimilar to the one's near the bar. Jade can recognize they are Azul's prototypes for next year, and smiles as the red drapes on the table glow almost maroon in the deep blue of the aquarium light. The candles are intricate, and a carbonated fancy spritzer is awaiting on the table.

Floyd is nearby, probably because he just didn't want to leave like Azul or the other staff, and Jade can hear how happy and cocky the other sounds. "Ah~! There they are, the happy couple of the hour一!"

You seem taken aback and Jade's grip on the plates tightens as Floyd takes notice that the mood has shifted.

"Whaaa? You didn't ask him out yet, Jade? You guys were taking so long I almost fell asleep!" Floyd continues, as Jade just allows it. The damage has already been done.

Setting the table, Jade sits you both down carefully as the candles barely flicker orange across your drinking glasses. Your eyes have long since been one cleared of confusion about what Floyd was saying, and you looked into Jade with much... anticipation? Jade liked to think that, at the time.

"Jade Leech... did you really set up a whole venue to ask me out?" You sounded not the slightest bit amazed, but more elated then he expected. "And there I was, trying not to hold your hand in the market. I was going to claim it was so we didn't get lost..."

Your relationship together was never one of holding back. Jade was not exactly attracted to people who couldn't hold their own or bounce back from thing's, and he's always liked that you don't sit there stunned for so long you've made it awkward. That'd be unbearable, especially with Floyd looming in the kitchen in-case of emergencies.

Jade smiles back, and he answers honestly. "You'd have ruined the surprise by scrapping my plan at Step Two, and I couldn't have that."

"Always the one who needs control..." You say fondly, with an airing sigh afterwards. "I can't say no to this display. So, Jade Leech, will you be my boyfriend?"

Jade has never felt his cheeks hurt more so pleasantly as he takes your first sentence in stride. "Why, I'd adore that idea." And perhaps, maybe giving you the first move had been just as sweet as anything else to him.

But...

"But as my new boyfriend, I'm afraid I must request you clean the kitchen. I still have to count the register from this afternoon." Jade answers as he digs into his dish below him.

"Dish duty already, I'm getting through the bases fast!" You laugh, and the afternoon goes on.

Jade is a scientist before all else.

Never one to do things on a whim like his brother and Yuu found solace in that. He was approachable to degree and was never one to display what was truly on his mind—he was like Jamil and Trey in that regard...

A certain, measured deliberation, that reeled Yuu in.

And maybe Yuu should've kept their guard up. Should've known not to sidle up to Jade with the intent on getting to know him.

Should've kept their distance from jagged teeth hidden behind soft lips.

Because, for all his silence and tempered actions the undercurrent of danger—of something predatory lurking just below the thin surface tension should've been enough to ward Yuu away.

Yet, he found himself drawn to thoughts of Jade like a moth to flame—latched to the idea of peeling away the careful layers that the Octavinelle Vice carefully crafted.

They felt like Rook at times, constantly striving to see Jade at his most vulnerable lead to him usually getting roped into helping tend to mushrooms and listening to the murmurs that were Jade docking down each reaction of his little world's in a bottle.

Yuu would catch a glimpse of fondness—softness that grated against his reputation.

He looked... younger. Like a kid who'd finally she'd the burden of knowing too much, Like Riddle after admitting his wrongdoings.

Like someone completely in control.

Yuu had never imagined they'd see that face bearing down on them, never imagined Jade would invite him to explore the mountains only to get shoved against tree and have bark dig into the thin fabric of their shirt.

Never imagined Jade's teeth in their neck.

The pain is searing, lights nerves on fire like as it burns with a pain so foreign that it nearly causes Yuu to buckle under Jade from the shock. He wonders if he'd topple over either way from how close Jade is, the lilting calm breathing clashing with the sensory overload.

From the trickling rain that had just stopped, to the give of earth, to the warmth of something—blood—trickling from his neck and down his back. The birdsong despite this odd and new experience. The brush of air. Trickling of grey light through leaves.

Fingers flex at Yuu's side, arms limp and back buzzing from being pressed against the tree for so long. They hadn't counted the seconds nor the minutes, stuck in a liminal space between Jade and heating body.

So when jagged teeth part from his neck and pulls away—blood, too much blood— smeared across lips and cheeks and coats teeth like lip stain—all the life that'd left comes flooding back.

Yuu doesn't know whether to feel shame knowing that he allowed Jade to get away with biting him or shocked that Jade even bit him in the first place. Either way, their akin heats under dilated gaze, clumsily shuffling to the side in an effort to evade the pressure.

And like that, Jade takes deliberate steps away before easing back onto the trail—it's only when he sees the back of his outdoor jacket that Yuu speaks up.

"Wh...Why the hell did you bite me?"

"There's a certain plant I'm looking for,"

"The hell does that have to—"

"Requires blood." Jade glances back at them, blood still dribbling from cheeks. "Human blood."

Yuu just gawks at him as he continues down the foliage but something in them stops them.

Jade is a scientist. He'd already planned this out before Yuu even knew what was happening. Carefully, deliberately.

And Yuu fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.

You decide to pull this prank while he is baking for an unbirthday party

He’s just trying to make a strawberry tart for Riddle

Cause there is never a bad time to pull this prank (unless he’s doing homework)

So you walk into the kitchen not saying anything as you set everything up

He just looks at you with a raised eyebrow while rolling out the dough

How it happened:

“Can I help you Cookie?” He says while looking down at the dough waiting for your answer.

“Yes. I just need your reaction to my presentation” you said walking over to stand next to him after clicking record. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you said keeping a straight face. Trey looked up to the screen then over to you with a smirk (Trey smirking is really hot, but he scares me a little).

“Go on” is all he says.

You click to the next slide “Nobody. My boyfriend is the bestest boyfriend in the world and cheating is wrong.”

“Next slide.” He says while he gets the tart crust ready to be filled and put in the oven. Clicking on the next slide, there is a selfie that you took with Cater for his MagiCam. Trey’s movements only falter for a second as he briefly glances at the screen. “Is that so?”

With his limited reaction you know that you’re fucked. He stays silent as he finishes the tart and then puts it in the oven.

“Trey?”

“Yes?”

“Are you mad? It was just a prank.”

He walks over to you as you take a step back hitting the counter. He traps you against the counter by putting his arms beside your body. “Of course not Cookie. It takes a lot more than a measly prank to make me mad. Especially at you” he smiles (not a genuine smile) then kisses your head before walking off to go check on the rest of the party preparations.

You really regret letting Cater talk you into this. (Or maybe you don’t. I wouldn’t).

Cater Diamond

You and Cater were just chillin in Ramshackle

You got bored and then remembered that Lilia had paid you to prank your boyfriend. You and him set everything up at lunch that day.

So you got up from the couch and Cater just looked at you with a raised eyebrow as you ran around getting everything set up.

Now much like Idia, he knows this prank. So he isn’t surprised when he sees you recording and then the first slide of the presentation. He just puts his phone down and crosses his arms with an amused smirk on his face.

How it happened:

“It’s Trey isn’t it?”

You freeze right as you were going to click to the next slide. The look you gave him made him chuckle. He clicked to the last slide for you and was not the least bit surprised to see his best friend.

“If you wanted to fuck my best friend so badly all you had to do was say so” he said standing up. “I’ve got some things to do, I’ll see ya later tonight” he pressed a quick kiss to your lips “love ya sweetness” He winks before walking out the door leaving you dumbfounded. You have no idea if he knew this was a prank or not. (He 100% knew and just wants to fuck with you)

Ruggie Bucchi

(I know he isn’t technically a vice house warden, but he is in my heart 😤)

Another Why would you do this?!

You’re even cruel enough to bring him doughnuts before you go through with it. His tail wags because his favorite person brought him his favorite food. And then you have to go and ruin it.

Ruggie is very insecure of himself and his position in the relationship so you better tread lightly.

If you use Leona for this prank (which you do because Crewel made it your job to get Leona to come to class. Leona said if you pulled this prank on Ruggie he would go to class. Which was partly a joke because he didn’t think you’d go through with it since you love your boyfriend more than you care about Leona and his grades. Leona fake gagged when he said that part to) Ruggie will be a hell of a lot more insecure about himself. Because of course you would rather be with Leona. He’s a prince. He can give you a lot more than Ruggie can. Jack and Leona can literally (not really) hear Ruggie’s heart break when you go through with this.

Honestly, I would rather take all of Crewel’s punishments than to see Ruggie’s ears flatten against his head and his tail droop as tears form in his eyes. Crewel’s punishments cannot compare to the pain of seeing Ruggie’s broken expression.

How it happened (if you used Leona):

You texted Ruggie asking you to meet at Ramshackle saying you needed help with something and that you made him something to eat. He obviously finished with his chores as quickly as possible and rushed over. His tail wagging rapidly when he finally made it to your dorm. He walked in and sat on the couch when you told him to before you brought him the doughnuts. He took the plate and started eating and asked what you needed help with. You had everything already set up when you hit record and clicked on the first slide. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with.” Ruggie stops chewing and looks at you. You go to click on the next slide, but realize you deleted the necessary second slide and it went right to Leona. Your heart dropped. “Ruggie, the second slide is missing” you frantically clicked away at the computer not seeing the hurt expression on his face and his ears droop. He silently set the plate of his favorite food down and slipped out of the dorm.

By the time you had the sense to turn around he was already gone. You had tried calling and texting him while making your way to Savanaclaw. You had even tried to call Jack and Leona to see if they could help. They refused to answer your call. Ruggie had ran into Jack on his way back to the dorm who took him to Mostro Lounge to try and cheer him up. Jack texted Leona who felt somewhat at fault (it was like 20% his fault) who begrudgingly got up from his napping spot and joined them in the lounge. After the annoying amount of texts and alls Ruggie received from you he turned off his phone and picked at his food that was brought out to him. After what felt like an eternity (it was only about 20 minutes) of you searching for your boyfriend, a certain butler I mean eel twin sent you a text with a picture saying “I have a certain Hyena who looks like a kicked puppy. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about it would you?”

You quickly made you way to the lounge, practically busting down the door (you would get an earful form Azul later). You quickly looked around spotting the three furry friends. As you ran to the table you had to stop and catch your breath once you reached them.

“Seriously _____? What the hell is wrong with you” Jack said as he looked at you.

Finally catching your breath, you were about to speak before Leona cut you off. “Well herbivore, I can’t believe you went through with it.” Causing Jack and Ruggie to look between the both of you with confused expressions.

“What is he talking about ____?” Ruggie asked still looking beaten down.

“Crewel told me I had to get Leona to class or I would get in trouble. So I told Leona that and he said if I went through with the prank that he would attend school.”

“I didn’t think you would actually go through with it” Leona mumbled.

Ruggie stood up and got close to you. “So you didn’t mean it?”

“Oh Rugs, of course not. I love you so much” you smiled at him. Ruggie’s ears perked up and his tail wagging once again latching onto as tightly as he could. You reached up and pet behind his ears while giggling. Leona fake gagged out loud, Jack smacked his arm. “I’m sorry Ruggie.”

“It’s okay, I’m sorry for running out like that” he buries his face in the crook of your neck.

“Do you want to go eat the rest of the doughnuts?”

His head perked up and he nodded rapidly. Grabbing his hand you both walked out of the lounge and back to Ramshackle.

How it happened (If you didn’t use Leona)

“Sebek, he’s in Diasomnia” you speak up. All he does is start laughing.

“Good luck with that!” He is laughing to the point of tears “you’ll go deaf like a minute into the first conversation you have with him shishishi.”

“This didn’t go as planned” you said smiling at him.

“You owe me cuddles for wasting my time” he set the plate on the coffee table and held is arms out.

Rook Hunt

He knows this is a prank

But yes, amuse him. He needs some entertainment to stimulate his brain. He’s gonna have a field day with this.

How it happened:

You and Rook were in his room as you sat everything up he was watching you from his position on the edge of his bed. You hit record and pulled up the first screen. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you looked at him he sat with a smirk on his face. You clicked the next screen “No one in the world is more handsome or better than my boyfriend” you looked at him.

“Well don’t keep me waiting mon amour” he says leaning forward placing his elbows on his knees resting his head on his hands.

“You know about this prank don’t you?”

“Oui, but I am curious as to who you decided to use.”

You clicked to the last slide where the queen himself was perched on his throne. A picture you used from one of his recent photo shoots.

“Let’s play a game mon ange. You hide and I’ll find you. I do have to teach you not to pull something like this” Rook says standing up from his spot. You didn’t even bother to grab your phone as you ran out of his room and out of the Pomfiore dorm. He walks over to your still recording phone with a smirk and a wink before stopping the recording. Little did you know that before he went to find you he stopped to have a little chat with the queen in question.

Jamil Viper

How it happened (if you used Kalim):

Let’s say you were over at Scarabia doing who knows what. When you got up and set everything up he just looked at you with a sigh. He’s tired okay. All day he deals with Kalim’s shenanigans and then when he wants to have a chill night with you after finally getting Kalim to sleep you have to act like a brat. After hitting record you click on the first slide. “People I would cheat on my boyfriend with” you say before clicking on the next slide. “Nobody. Because I love him and only him.” He sits looking unamused when you click to the last slide where a picture of you and Kalim (that he took cause you two were being cute instead of stupid for once) was the whole slide.

He takes a deep breath as he stood up walking over to you. He stopped your phone from recording while looking you in the eyes. You took a step back while keeping eye contact (because he has pretty eyes). And would you look at that, you are now affected by his unique magic. RIP you I guess.

How it happened (if you didn’t use Kalim):

You skipped into the Scarabia kitchen where Jamil was making dinner for the dorm. He heard your footsteps as you hit the entrance of the kitchen. “Don’t even think about it.”

That stopped you in your tracks. “Don’t do what?” You tried to play dumb.

“Don’t open that slideshow” he said, all while not turning around and focusing on the food.

“How did you know?”

“I heard Ace blabbering to Floyd at practice today.”

“Damn it!”

Jade Leech

You were in Jade’s room waiting for the right time do pull this off. He was minding his own business with his babies (mushrooms) and so you got to work setting everything up. Once you finished you got Jade’s attention and hit record. Clicking the first slide you didn’t have to say anything as he read the title out loud. He took over and clicked to the last slide where you had a picture of Rook. Jade sat staring at the screen for a few seconds. “The hunter?” He raises an eyebrow then looks over to you. “My darling, if you wanted to be treated like prey all you had to do was ask.” He looked at you with a menacing smile. You royally fucked up dude(gn)

Floyd Leech

You sat in silence as he professed the information. “Floyd?”

Silver was sat on your couch and watched as you went through the first to slides. He started dozing off so you clicked to the last slide that had a picture of Bat daddy (Lilia). Silver smirked.

“I think it’s weird to want to fuck your future father in-law, but go ahead. Just don’t let him finish in you. That pleasure belongs to me” he said before he fell asleep with a smirk on his face leaving you still recording with a very flustered expression.

Malleus has lots of respect for Riddle. So when you asked him who you should go to to learn about human customs, Malleus pointed him in Riddle's direction. Malleus knows that Riddle barely knows modern human customs, but he is a matchmaker Extraordinaire now that he is dating Yuu.

Doesn't appreciate being called little… but with a sugar daddy boyfriend who'll let him snuggle whenever he likes, he'll be your "little hyena" as often as you like.

Floyd is that kid who sees something, and is like "what would it be like if I bit that?"

So imagine a merman, who has hyperfixations on biting things, seeing a fae for the first time ever in one of his first year classes. Azul spends weeks trying to keep you two apart.

When the time comes, and Floyd has chomped down on your arm, you find it hilarious. As a fae, you barely felt it, and as a prince, you'd never had someone bite you before. Instant friendship between you two . (Tried to bite your horns one time, was very pouty that they hurt his teeth)

You never question him when he nibbles on you. And it becomes a comfort for him. Bored? Find sea dragon, and steal one of his fingers to nibble. Sad? Snuggles, and nomming on your shoulder, please!

Realizes how he feels when he loses all motivation when you have to return to the Valley of Thorns to celebrate your brother's betrothal. He just mopes around the lounge, until you come back, and immediately tells you how he feels. So no more leaving him, okay!

You wanted to study a merman, and Jade wanted to study a Draconic fae. While your intentions were much purer than Jade's, it's still a beneficial arrangement.

As a thank you for his help in learning about mermaid culture, you present him with a terrarium full of Valley of Thorns mushrooms. That's what breaks him.

But if anyone is able to outdo a fae in observation and outlasting…. It's Jade. Jade waits, and waits, and waits some more…and strikes when he's showing you around his home in the ocean.

"I'm certain you've received grander proposals than this, but I would love the honor of being your boyfriend."

He planned everything. He picked a beautiful spot where the bioluminescence of the ocean, and himself, would make him irresistibly mysterious and ethereal. But it also backfires and further accentuates your own unearthly features. Now you're both simping.

"I accept your confession, Jade. Although, if you're using me to get to my mushrooms, I'm not too sure my brother would take kindly to it."

Both of you laugh, as though you each know a secret, but Jade instinctively wraps his tail around your legs and brings you closer….and it just feels right.

Azul starts out thinking that you will be in an easy in with Diasomnia and Malleus, but it turned out you could be just as unapproachable as your brother. Oh well, he loves a challenge from time to time.

Not long in to researching you, you join the board game club and challenge Azul to a chess match, here you may or may not have talked in enough circles that he reveals the scheme.

He thinks he's blown int but you suddenly start making weekly visits to the Monstro Lounge. You order the same thing, make a cryptic comment and leave. It's like clockwork, and Azul can't help but feel you've hypnotized him with this routine.

When you invite him out….he thinks he's going to die. He tries to keep up the business man persona, but he's such a simp. He's stuttering and fumbling, until you tell him how dear he has become to you, and how beautiful you find him. Then he stops fumbling and becomes a blushy mess that feels all warm and fuzzy inside.

The twins give him hell for it (pt 2).

People are not this warm and affectionate in the Valley of Thorns. You probably fall first honestly. Like Mal falling for Yuu, you fall for Kalim and spend all your time in Scarabia.

You play Mancala with Kalim, and play as long as he wants/takes to win. Kalim loves that you don't get bored or annoyed with him.

During the phase where Kalim is being hypnotized and has memory loss, he notices you aren't around as often, and starts to realize how important you are to him.

After Jamil overblots, you come to see him immediately, and do a magical checkup to make sure he's okay. Kalim asks why you've stayed away so long, and his heart breaks when he sees your sad smile as you say, "You, yourself, told me I was no longer welcome."

Kalim cries and hugs you tightly, telling you he didn't mean it, he loves you so much!

After he calms down and gets to a good mental state, you both have a conversation about your relationship, and realize you both love each other the same. Happy ever after for two squishy boys!

You met when Lilia invited you to see his band. Jamil was sitting in the audience for Kalim, and you two had a great conversation before he lost his hearing from Lilia smashing yet another guitar.

Jamil is still trying to be average and unnoticed when you meet, so you don't see him much after that. But he sees you. He is enthralled by your natural skills, and even though you're a rich kid, (prince) you carry yourself with an air of self awareness and kindness, and he can't help but think that in another life…

Stops that line of thinking really fast. A prince would never be with a servant. But in the days before his overblot, it's definitely you he's thinking about when he thinks about what he can accomplish with his freedom.

After the overblot, you doctor him up, and replenish any empty magic stores that could be a problem. Then you do his chores for him. If he wasn't whipped for you already….

You catch him watching you dreamily, and call him out on it. Then you take his hand and cup his cheek and tell him you feel the same.

"I'm not worthy-"

"I am the second born prince of the Valley of Thorns, a member of a long line of Draconic fae. If I say you are worthy, Viper, then you are worthy."

The way you say it, it's like you are weaving a spell to make it true, and make him believe it. If that was your intention, it worked.

Definitely a friend's to lovers situation. Silver being raised around you, and both of you at least starting at a similar emotional age (you've passed him, but such is the way of the fae) you were close for the entirety of Silver's life .

He has a sense of duty to Malleus and Lilia for his position, and he definitely still has a little bit to you due to your position as second born, but it's not as heavy for you, so he can mostly relax around you.

He realizes he's in love in a first year flight class when he fell asleep on his broom, and woke up in your arms after you caught him.

It's a year later, and he's stoically escorting you to the library, when you decide to play with him a little.

"There's this little prince I've had my eyes on…"

Silver's a good knight, so he won't say anything, but deep down he's disappointed. All he'll say is something like, "I'm so happy for you, Prince Y/N."

Then you'll start describing him, and he'll falter. You cup his cheek and look deeply in his eyes and say, "My little Prince is named Silver, and there is no one else I'd rather have by my side."

Oh.

OH.

Silver probably reaffirms his undying loyalty, then turns a bright red when you take his hand as you continue your walk. Honestly, I ship this one the most.

When Azul first heard about leviathan merpeople, he was immediately fascinated because, woah! Giant merpeople the size of gorges! He absolutely wanted to meet one

His dream was swiftly crushed when the teacher said that such creatures are exceptionally rare and most likely endangered or even extinct

Skip forward a few years and he’s finally made it to NRC with his closest comrades Jade and Floyd. Someone else also from the Coral Sea enrolled; you. Sure, you were pretty average when it came down to everything but Azul just couldn’t keep his eyes off you. Guess that’s why he ended up with you a few months later

Azul found out quickly that you didn’t like swimming and it wasn’t because you couldn’t, you absolutely could, it’s just that you didn’t want him to see your true form. Azul loves you so much that it hurts so of course he never forced you to show it

When you finally became comfortable to show Azul your true form, his face showed only a small smile with slightly pink cheeks to go with it but make no mistake he is screaming on the inside

He was not prepared for the sheer size of you. He knew leviathans were big but not this big. He felt so small compared to you…but he’d be a liar if he said he still didn’t love you

Please let him swim up to your face and pepper it with kisses. You may be big but that doesn’t mean he can’t show you his love

Whenever you’re both traveling through the Coral Sea, he likes hanging onto your shoulder, back, or anything he can generally keep his hands/tentacles on. The fast ocean currents running through his hair while you’re basically just slowly swimming to where you want to go always gives his heart little jumps

Even when you’re not swimming, he loves just resting on your shoulder or in your palm. It’s not only comfy for him but it makes him feel safe

Azul enjoys watching you do mass chaos both intentionally and unintentionally. Accidents are usually small like breaking coral bunches or smacking rocks but when they’re not accidents…let’s just say that you sunk an entire ship for Azul’s safety

Despite how protective you are of Azul, he can’t help but also be protective of you. Leviathans are extremely rare and are highly praised by hunters. There’s no way he’s allowing any hunter ever near you

Wether you’re the small, handsome mer-human boy at school or the giant leviathan beast in the ocean, he will always love you no matter what

Skip forward to NRC where he gets sorted into Octavinelle along with his brother and Azul. Alongside them, someone else from the Coral Sea enrolled; you. Jade thought you were an interesting person despite being seemingly average but he couldn’t quite explain it

He was curious as to why you’re not fond of swimming but never bothered to ask as it was never a problem for him. So what if you don’t want to show you’re true form? You’ll show it when you become more comfortable

When that time came, he was absolutely not prepared for the sheer size of you. He heard leviathans were big but you absolutely dwarfed him in size but he can’t say he wasn’t amazed

Please Jade will place kisses all over your huge face. Sure they tickle and sometimes he bites your cheeks or nose to tease but it doesn’t really hurt or bother you. The lovely smile he wears when he does it worth it

Jade is normally fast when swimming by himself, fast or slow, but when he rides on your back or shoulder while you swim, the ocean current pushing his hair back even though you’re just casually swimming really makes him think about the big differences between you…literally

Whether you’re swimming or not, he likes sitting on your shoulder or your palm. He wraps his tail around your fingers just to feel closer to you and can’t help but let his guard down while relaxing with you

On the other side of that, you causing mass destruction never ceases to make him smile. Even small accidents such as bumping into reefs or caves make him smile but the intentional destruction, especially when you deem Jade’s life in danger, really makes his heart swoon

Despite how protective you may seem for him, Jade is just as-if not worse-than you. Leviathans are highly hunted for which is why there’s so little left. He’d do anything to keep you safe even if he had to get his hands dirty

Jade is a very doting and loving partner and will only provide the best for his just as equally doting and loving boyfriend

Oh boy…when Floyd first heard about leviathans, he immediately wanted to meet one. Large sea people as big as the deepest gorge and as dangerous as a natural disaster. He couldn’t help the toothy smile that spread across his face

However, the frown that happened afterwards made people flinch in fear. To learn that leviathans were most likely gone because of how rare they are was not the thing he wanted to hear

Once he made it to NRC with his brother and Azul, he had given up on meeting a leviathan, dawning on the sad fact that he might never meet one and it still ticked him off to no end. Luckily his interest was forwarded to another student from the Coral Sea; you. He doesn’t know why he suddenly became interested in you but he doesn’t care, you have his attention now so deal with it

He’s confused as to why you don’t like swimming. You’re from the Coral Sea so that doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t get better when you elaborate that you don’t want anyone to see your true form but he is insanely interested so expect to be asked that a lot

A very toothy grin formed on Floyd’s face when you said that you were ready to show him your true form that he literally couldn’t stand still

He just kind of…stared at your size until he broke out into a smile and started laughing. His boyfriend was a leviathan! The sheer size of you made him feel small but he didn’t mind it this time

Floyd is a very openly affectionate eel so he is absolutely smothering your huge face in kisses. He might even bite your cheeks or nose for the fun of it just to see your reaction but he just calls them love bites

Floyd considers himself a fast swimmer but there’s just something about sitting on your back or shoulder while you’re casually swimming, feeling the fast ocean current against his face, going faster than he’s ever gone before really gets to him

Just seeing you commit mass destruction makes him want to join in himself. He’ll laugh at your little accidents like smacking into structures or kicking up rocks or coral but he absolutely loves your purposefully destructive actions, especially since such destructive protectiveness has saved him in the past

No matter how protective you are, Floyd is just as worse. He knows that leviathans are rare and are often over hunted so he takes great care in making sure you stay safe and your true form hidden in any way he deems necessary

Floyd loves you no matter what you are. He’s very expressive when it comes to your relationship so there’s no shortage of affection for his boyfriend
