Steph: Hey, wouldn't it be hilarious if all B's villains had backstories like the new Disney villain-centric movies?
Barbara: Explain.
Tim: Oh! I get it is like Riddler is evil because a riddle killed his mom!
Barbara: But wouldn't that make so he hated riddles?
Tim: Maybe he hated his mom? You don't know!
Duke: Or maybe he hates riddles and uses them to stop himself and protect the world for the evil he truly represents... Nah, that's stupid.
Barbara: No, no go on.
Steph: It was funny as hell.
Duke: The Riddler hating riddles was not the stupid conspiracy theory I thought I would make for Tim today.
Barbara: How many conspiracy theories did you even made for Tim?
Tim: Does the ones he made for Bernard count?
Duke: A magician never revels their secrets.
Barbara: You're not a magician.
Steph: He could be. Anyway before this ends up with someone giving Duke a box of magic tricks for begginers made for seven year olds *looks pointedly at Babs, she shrugs* my idea was that the number two died trying to save Two-Face's grandma from the other numbers.
Barbara: Okay, this one makes more sense. What about Scarecrow lost his puppie because of a horror movie?
Tim: You judge me but that means Crane would hate fear. So check mate.
Barbara: No, no, hear me out, he lost the puppie because the dog was too brave and stayed during the whole movie. If if had runned afraid it would have been fine.
Duke: My turn! I present all the books they had falled into Mad Hatter's dad killing him except somehow the Alice in Woonderland book that stayed in the shelve so he sweared to never read another book ever again?
Steph: Love it.
Cass: *was always there but hidden in the corner* Great. May I?
Duke, Tim and Steph:*surprised jump scare noises*
Babs: Please. Be our guest.
Cass: Killer Moth was raised by moths. Bruce accidentaly killed his third aunt as a child because he tried to pick it and show Alfred but was too strong.
Duke: You are a genius.
Steph: It's better than whatever official backstory he has.
Dick: *just came back from a mission* What are you guys doing?
Tim: Creating stupid rogues origin stories.
Dick: It seems fun. Let me try... huh... Oswald became Penguin because a Penguin flew through his window the moment he was considering becaming a criminal .
Damian: *was in the mission with Dick* May I try? Joker is a villain because his mother had depression and his jokes never made her happy.
Dick: Holy shit! Too heavy, lil D.
Duke: Sadge.
Tim: It looks like a soap opera plot.
Damian: I DO NOT watch soap operas with umi. SHUT UP!
Tim: Whoa there is a lot to unpack here.
Damian: Say one more word and I'll kill you Drake.
Duke: My bet is on Dami.
Cass: Bet Tim survives but barely.
Dick: Let's all calm down a bit. Maybe Joker became a villain because a mean kid said he wasn't funny.
Jason: *coming out of nowhere* What about Joker became a villain because he sucks?
Steph: That's just real life, Jay. We are trying to have fun here.
Jason: *rolls his eyes* Fine. Let me try again. All of B villains had their family killed by a bat. All of them. The same day, the same bat. Better?
Steph: Amazing!
Tim: Wait a second.
Damian: What now, Drake?
Tim: Bane has a Cruella type backstory!
Babs: *eyes getting huge* Holy shit he kindda has.
Cass: Explain.
Tim: When in the pit because a lot of irrelevant trauma things Bane had nightmares with a half bat half man creature attacking him so his solution was to crack B's spine in half.
Dick: Okay we need to make a Cruella Bane song.
Babs: Is not that close of a backstory.
Dick: So you don't want a Cruella Bane song?
Babs: Good point. I stand corrected.

HAPPY HOGMANAY! What's is Hogmanay you say? Why the roots of Hogmanay reach back to the celebration of the winter solstice among the Norse, as well as incorporating customs from the Gaelic New Year's celebration of Samhain.
In Europe, winter solstice evolved into the ancient celebration of Saturnalia, a great Roman winter festival, where people celebrated completely free of restraint and inhibition. The Vikings celebrated Yule, which later contributed to the Twelve Days of Christmas, or the "Daft Days" (really) as they were sometimes called in Scotland. The winter festival went underground with the Protestant Reformation and ensuing years, but re-emerged near the end of the 17th century. A very Scottish thing Hogmanay. Wear a kilt to this evening's festivities to set the mood right!

192 – The Roman emperor Commodus died on this date (b.161). It's New Year's Eve and, after a long year's journey, we are finally at the end of this year. To be on the safe side, why not stay home and watch old reruns of Guy Lombardo and spend a quiet evening in memory of the emperor Commodus, who called his exceptionally well-endowed cup-bearer "my donkey," and was strangled by an over- enthusiastic wrestler named Narcissus on this day.
In 2000's neo-blood and sandals epic Gladiator, Commodus was portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix in an Academy-Award-nominated performance. The historical character of Commodus is fictionalized in the movie as a deranged megalomaniac who murders Marcus Aurelius to usurp the throne. There is no historical evidence suggesting Marcus Aurelius was murdered, much less by his own son. However the movie removes some of the most bizarre eccentricities of Commodus. The film's protagonist, Maximus Decimus Meridius (played by Russell Crowe) is loosely inspired by Narcissus, and was named so in a previous draft of the screenplay, but as in The Fall of the Roman Empire Commodus is killed in hand-to-hand combat. Dressing Tony Curtis for "Some Like It Hot"
1897 – Orry-Kelly was the professional name of Orry George Kelly (d.1964), a prolific Hollywood costume designer.
He was born in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia, and was known as Jack Kelly. His father William Kelly, was born on the Isle of Man and was a gentleman tailor in Kiama. Orry was a name of an ancient King of Man. Jack Kelly studied art in Sydney, and worked as a tailor's apprentice and window dresser.
He journeyed to New York to pursue an acting career. He shared an apartment there with Charlie Spangles and Cary Grant. Director Gillian Armstrong writes of this time:
''The big secret is that when Orry first got to New York and was trying to get his start, painting murals on walls and selling hand-painted ties, he ended up rooming with a young British actor called Archie Leach. They definitely became lovers and were living together for about five years.''
The job painting murals in a nightclub led to his employment by Fox East Coast studios illustrating titles. He designed costumes and sets for Broadway's Shubert Revues and George White's Scandals. His lover, Archie Leach, went on to become Cary Grant.
Orry-Kelly went to Hollywood in 1932, working for all the major studios (Warner Brothers, Universal, RKO, 20th Century Fox, and MGM), and designed for all the great actresses of the day, including Bette Davis, Kay Francis, Olivia de Havilland, Katharine Hepburn, Dolores del Río, Ava Gardner, Ann Sheridan, Barbara Stanwyck, and Merle Oberon.
He worked on many films now deemed classics, including 42nd Street, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, Arsenic and Old Lace, Harvey, Oklahoma!, Auntie Mame, and Some Like It Hot.He won three Academy Awards for Best Costume Design (for An American in Paris, Cole Porter's Les Girls, and Some Like It Hot) and was nominated for a fourth (for Gypsy). A longtime alcoholic, he died of liver cancer in Hollywood. His pallbearers included Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Billy Wilder and George Cukor and his eulogy was read by Jack Warner. His Academy Awards went to Jack Warner's wife, Ann.

1948 – Joe Dallesandro, is an American actor and Warhol superstar. Although he never became a mainstream film star, Dallesandro is generally considered to be the most famous male sex symbol of American underground films of the 20th century, as well as a sex symbol of gay subculture
Born into a dysfunctional family, Joe was placed in foster homes. Dallesandro began acting out and became aggressive. He repeatedly ran away from his foster home until his father finally relented and allowed him to live with him. At the age of 14, Dallesandro and his brother moved to Queens to live with their paternal grandparents and their father.
At 15, he was expelled from school for punching the principal, who had insulted his father. After his expulsion, Dallesandro began hanging out with gangs and started stealing cars. In once such instance, Dallesandro panicked and smashed the stolen car he was driving through the gate of the Holland Tunnel. He was stopped by a police roadblock and shot once in the leg by police who mistakenly thought he was armed. Dallesandro managed to escape being caught by police, but was later arrested when his father took him to the hospital for his gunshot wound. He was sentenced to Camp Cass Rehabilitation Center for Boys in the Catskills in 1964
The following year, Dallesandro ran away from Camp Cass. He supported himself by prostitution and later nude modeling, appearing most notably in short films and magazine photos for Bob Mizer's Athletic Model Guild.
Dallesandro met Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey in 1967 while they were shooting Four Stars, and they cast him in the film on the spot. Warhol would later comment "In my movies, everyone's in love with Joe Dallesandro."
Dallesandro played a hustler in his third Warhol film, Flesh (1968), where he had several nude scenes. Flesh became a crossover hit with mainstream audiences, and Dallesandro became the most popular of the Warhol stars. New York Times film critic Vincent Canby wrote of him: "His physique is so magnificently shaped that men as well as women become disconnected at the sight of him."
Tumblr media
A Warhol photograph of the crotch bulge of Dallesandro's tight blue jeans graces the famous cover of the Rolling Stones album Sticky Fingers. Dallesandro explained to biographer Michael Ferguson, "It was just out of a collection of junk photos that Andy pulled from. He didn't pull it out for the design or anything, it was just the first one he got that he felt was the right shape to fit what he wanted to use for the fly."
As Dallesandro's underground fame began to cross over into the popular culture, he graced the cover of Rolling Stone in April 1971. He was also photographed by some of the top celebrity photographers of the time.
He continued to star in films made mainly in France and Italy for the rest of the decade, returning to America in the 1980s. He made several mainstream films during the 1980s and 1990s. One of his first notable roles was that of 1920s gangster Lucky Luciano in Francis Coppola's The Cotton Club. He also had roles in Critical Condition (1987), Sunset (1988) , Guncrazy (1992), Cry-Baby (1990), and The Limey.
In addition to films, Dallesandro has also worked in television. In 1986, he co-starred in the ABC drama series Fortune Dane. The series lasted only five episodes. Dallesandro has also made guest appearances on Wiseguy, Miami Vice, and Matlock.
In 2009, Dallesandro wrote and produced the documentary film Little Joe. The film chronicles Dallesandro's life and career.
Dallesandro, who identifies himself as bisexual, has been married three times and has two children. He is semi-retired from acting, and currently manages an apartment building in Los Angeles.

1948 – The American singer Donna Summer, was born on this date (d.2012). She was an American singer, songwriter and artist, best known for a string of disco hits in the late 1970s that earned her the title "Queen Of Disco" and as one of the few disco-based artists to have longevity on the charts through the late 1980s and beyond.
The question with Donna Summer is, "is she or isn't she?" Homophobic that is!
In the mid 1980s, rumors began circulating that Summer had allegedly made anti-gay comments regarding the AIDS epidemic as being a punishment from God for homosexuality. The fallout from the alleged quote had a significantly negative impact on Summer's career, which saw thousands of her records being returned to her record company by angered fans. However, Summer denied making any such remarks and many years later she filed a lawsuit against New York magazine when it reprinted the rumors as fact, just as Summer was about to release her latest album Mistaken Identity in 1991. According to an A&E Biography program in which Summer participated in 1995, the lawsuit was settled out of court with neither side discussing details of the settlement.
D.L. Groover of Houston's OutSmart magazine wrote that after a 1983 concert in Atlantic City, Summer was talking to the fans, as she liked to do at this first- comeback point in her career. A man with AIDS asked her to pray for him, because he knew of her born-again Christian beliefs, and she said she would be delighted. Someone else piped up that she was being hypocritical. At that point, all accounts get fuzzy and overblown, but every witness says that the heated situation deteriorated, with many outraged patrons shouting as they left the auditorium. In more than one account, Summer said that AIDS appeared in the gay community because of its reckless lifestyle... but did not say that AIDS was God's punishment. She and the gay fan prayed together, she asked him to turn his life to Christ, and she embraced him - a courageous act at a time when most people would have run screaming from the room to get away from someone with the deadly disease.
For her part Summer told The Advocate in 1989 that "A couple of the people I write with are gay, and they have been ever since I met them. What people want to do with their bodies is their personal preference. I'm not going to stand in judgment about what the Bible says about someone else's life. I've got things in my life I've got to clean up. What's in your life is your business." Make of that what you will.

Rick Sandford as Ben Barker
1950 – Rick Sandford (d.1995) was a documentary research assistant, editor and actor of gay erotic movies and author.
Rick Steven Sandford was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in the Lake Tahoe area. His early difficulties learning to read led his parents to enroll him in a private school.
After his graduation in 1969, he first went to Los Angeles on vacation, to see the musical, Hair and the Russian motion picture version of War and Peace, and after 1972, Sandford remained in Los Angeles employed in various positions, from an usher at Grauman's Chinese Theatre to a television show stand-in.
In 1977 he met Josh Becker, American writer and director, of films and television, who would become his long-time friend, according to Becker, Sandford only heterosexual friend.
Initially living in a bungalow behind a house in West Hollywood, Sandford was evicted and with his best friend, Stacey, with whom he had grown up in Reno, he moved into a one-bedroom apartment at 666 N. Van Ness.
Sandford received credit as research assistant on 50 Golden Years of Oscar: the Official History of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and Ronald Haver's David O. Selznick's Hollywood. Sandford served as assistant on the 1990 documentary Hollywood Mavericks.
Sandford appeared on television shows and in motion pictures as an extra and in a few bit parts: in episodes of Police Woman in 1974 and Step by Step in 1991. During the late 1970s and early 1980s he worked as an editor on 3 gay erotic films and appeared as Benjamin Barker or Ben Barker in 13 gay erotic motion pictures including Kip Noll and the Westside Boys, Rear Deliveries, Skin Deep, The Class of '84 Part 2 Jocks, Gold Rush Boys, The Boys of San Francisco, A Night at Halsted's, and Games. In the mid 1980s, Don Bachardy sketched Sandford for his book, Drawing of the Male Nude; both Bachardy and his partner Christopher Isherwood were friends with Sandford. During this time, Sandford introduced Bachardy and Isherwood to Yale-trained actor Peter Evans and his then lover Craig Lucas. Sandford and Lucas had a fling, and Lucas remembered
"He came to New York with a strip show. To [the song] 'Another Hundred People' from 'Company', he arrived onstage with a suitcase, and met invisible New Yorkers, stripping for them, looking for love. Afterward, we had to wait while older men went into his dressing room to make appointments. Or something."
In 1991, his short story Forster & Rosenthal Reevaluated: An Investigative Report was published. In 1994, another of his short stories, Purim was published. Two more of Sandford's short stories were published posthumously, The Gospel Of Bartholemew Legate: Three Fragments and Manifest White. In 2000, his novel, Boys Across the Street was published, also posthumously.
Tumblr media
Boys Across the Street is a candidly hilarious look at the gay life of Rick, an exporn star, who lives near a boy's Hasidic school, as he becomes obsessed with building relationships with the boys, leading to a fascination with Hasidism, which reviles his sexual orientation.
Sandford died of AIDS during the evening of September 28, 1995.

1958 – David Pevsner is an American actor, singer, dancer, porn star, and writer. Pevsner appeared in the 1990 revival of Fiddler on the Roof, 1991 revival of Rags, and some other theatrical productions. He also wrote three songs for the 1999 musical Naked Boys Singing!, including "Perky Little Porn Star." He wrote and produced two one-person shows, To Bitter and Back (2003) and Musical Comedy Whore (2013). Pevsner portrayed mostly minor roles in films and television. His major screen roles are Ebenezer Scrooge in Scrooge & Marley, the 2012 film adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and Ross Stein in a 2011 web series Old Dogs & New Tricks. He recorded the 2016 album Most Versatile, whose album cover pays homage to Bruce Springsteen's album Born in the U.S.A.
David Pevsner was raised in Skokie, Illinois. He attended Niles East High School in the same Chicago suburb and participated in its theater program. He graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
He appeared in the 1991 revival of the 1986 musical Rags, set in 1910, portraying the dual roles of Saul and Nathan. He appeared in the 1995 theatrical play Party, portraying the role of Kevin. In the play, Kevin, a college teacher who lives with his partner, hosts a party at his apartment, where the males characters play the naked truth-or-dare game. Pevsner appeared in the two-act gay revue musical When Pigs Fly from 1996 to 1998. Pevsner appeared in F*cking Men, the 2009 explicit play written by Joe DiPietro about the lives of gay urban men, portraying Jack, who commits adultery with another man, while his husband does the same.
Pevsner co-wrote the 1999 musical Naked Boys Singing! with the writing team. He wrote three songs for the musical, including "Perky Little Porn Star" and "The Naked Maid."
Pevsner appeared in films, mostly portraying minor roles in such films as The Fluffer (2001) and Adam & Steve (2006). He also portrayed a major role of Ebenezer Scrooge in Scrooge & Marley, the 2012 film adaptation that tells the gay interpretation of the 19th-century novel A Christmas Carol.
Pevsner also portrayed minor roles in television series, particularly a bartender of a gay bar in an episode of NYPD Blue.

1969 – The first performance of The Cockettes took place on New Years Eve 1969, at the Palace Theatre in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood and soon became a "must-see" for San Francisco's hip gay community, combining LSD-influenced dancing, set design, costumes and their own versions of show tunes (or original tunes in the same vein). Initially, shows were performed every six weeks, performing on stage prior to the Saturday midnight "Nocturnal Dream Show" of underground films at the Palace Theatre. Show titles included Gone With the Showboat to Oklahoma, Tinsel Tarts In A Hot Coma, Journey to the Center of Uranus, Smacky & Our Gang, Hollywood Babylon and Pearls Over Shanghai.
Word quickly got out that nothing like these shows had ever been seen before, and within a few months the Cockettes were getting enormous attention from the media. Not only hippie magazines, such as Earth and Rolling Stone, wanted stories on the Cockettes, but also mainstream magazines such as Look, Life and Esquire were anxious to do features as well. The Cockettes were the subject of a documentary called, of course, The Cockettes. If you haven't seen it, do. Torrent users can find it on isoHunt.com

1990 – Ian McKellen, English actor, is knighted by the Queen of England. He is the first openly gay man to be knighted.

2014 – Russian large gay club called Central Station was forced to close after countless attacks of sprays of bullets and being gassed. It later reopened with the use of bulletproof glass.

Unexpected Visitor (Finale)
Jason Todd X Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: When Jason gets kicked off the Titans because of his actions with Johnathan Crane, he goes to his old “friend” who was once in the same situation.
WC: 3k!! (Wow.)
TW: Innuendo, Fluff, Angst (lowkey a lot), Kinda boring in my opinion..
A/N: So it’s been a minute…more like a year! I was rewatching Titans after watching S4 and I decided that I should probably finish this, but I just wanted to say this is very long and it’s not my best writing since I stopped writing after my writer's block. Also wanted to say H/N is Hero name, L/N is last name and Y/N/N is your nickname and for the suit you guys can find any inspiration for your reader! I’m sorry if this is bad or seems not focused, the first parts are more about Y/N & Jason like building up stories to the finale and following the last episode so I hope you enjoy it!——————————————————————————
-3RD PERSON POV-
It’s bright outside, deceased bodies of civilians of Gotham lay on the floor, in subway halls, sidewalks, and the streets. Such a tragedy one may think but to any of the civilians of Gotham that could’ve still been alive. It’s just another normal day in the City of Gotham.
———————————————————————
-DICKS POV-
Dicks phone starts ringing and he answers the call assuming and already knowing it’s Barbara. :
D: “What do you know?”
B: “It’s hard to tell. Based on satellite readings anywhere between 500 to 2,000 dead.”
D: “What about the toxin?”
V: “Winds moving east, thank god, so most of it dispersed over the harbor.”
B: “My guess is we’re not going to get lucky twice.”
Dick sighs and looks around with the phone in his hand.
D: “I’ll call you right back.”
All the “Titans” but 2 were in the same room with each other, going over poems and trying to plan. Jason and Y/N were in another room waiting for the signal that Dick said he would give them to let them come into the main room. They were still helping also just not where everyone could see them. Dick went over to talk to Gar and elaborate a little more before he dropped the bomb on everybody.
“Gar, what do you know?” Gar looked at the papers and clipboard and replies “I sit in one of the dives On Fifty-second Street. There’s like 20 dive bars near 52nd Street..!” He says annoyed and slightly unamused, Dick tells him to narrow them all down and just find one before he turns around and talks to Rachel & Tim. A few minutes later he checks with Connor, Komand’r, Donna & Koriand’r.
After Donna & Kori brought up the pit it reminded him of someone. “Can I stop everything real fast? I know it’s not a good time but we do need more help. So, I called in a few people. I know we aren’t on the best terms with them, but they are smart as well as valuable in getting these poems down. I just ask that you all are respectful not only that but professional.”
Dick looked around and nodded his head as he saw all heads turn up and look at him. He turned around to look at the door and said, “You guys can come in now.”
-Y/N’S POV- (Minutes before Dick told them they can come in)
“You know we’re gonna have to go in there at some point this small room isn’t gonna cut it.” Jason breaks the silence. Y/N scoffs and looks at him but quickly goes back to looking at the paper with the top of the pen near her lip, “Well we’re not exactly wanted so it’s better we stay in here and let Dick take the credit for the work we’re doing in here. Like he said.” She says as she puts her pen & paper down to look at him.
Jason rolls his eyes and makes a snarky remark “since when have you listened to Dick when it comes to staying somewhere?” Y/N turned her head quickly and seemed quite annoyed at the question “since I stepped into a place where everybody despises me. I’d rather not deal with the drama.”
As she turned around to look back at her papers Jason sighed and grabbed Y/N’S waist to turn her to fully face him and he took her hands in his, “Not everybody despises you. You know that right?” Emphasizing the “every” at the beginning, also implying the comment to himself. Y/N softly smiled while she looked up at him and replied, “is that your way of telling me you don’t exactly hate me, Jason?” Jason who was taken aback by the fact that she thought he also hated her after the incident felt the need to just confess right there.
“Maybe, but the fact is Y/N, I never hated you. During the incident and the claims of you working with Deathstroke, I guess I just didn’t know what to say, by the time I got to the living room they were talking about kicking you out. I had just got in the room but that makes no excuse for me not saying anything and again for that Y/N/N I’m sorry, and I’ll say it again and again as much as I mean it, and as much as you need to hear it. I know that we had never dropped the big L on each other but I think I’m just gonna say it now. Y/N, I’m in love with you, and I always have been. Ever since that first time you sparred with Donna and ended up being one of the only team members who could take her down which I have to say was very funny seeing her reaction!”
Jason & Y/N both laughed but Jason continued, “I could never hate you, no matter what. I made a promise that I now am going to stick with you forever and I am going to keep myself to that promise.” Y/N shed a tear and finally spoke while wiping her eye, “Wow Todd you really know how to make a girl mess up her mascara,” she said jokingly.
“Only when it’s you.” Jason winked and they both turned around to get back to work, but Jason broke the silence and said “so when we DO have to go in there, who’s going first 'cause it certainly won’t be me!” Y/N laughed and said “I guess it’ll be me then! You’ll just have to repay me for it later.” Jason smirked and replied, “Oh I can think of ways to repay you later that you might enjoy.”
Y/N raises an eyebrow and looks at Jason “Oh stop it, you’re so annoying.” and slightly laughs at his risky remark. Jason shrugs and puts his hand up in the air, “you love me though!” Y/N smiles, “Your right I do.”
They hear from the other room, “You guys can come out now.”
Jason looks at the door, “I guess that’s our queue,” he looks at Y/N and sees her already slightly freaking out so he slips their hands together and kisses hers to reassure her. “I guess so.”
-DICKS POV-
As I gave the signal that Y/N & Jason could come out of the back room, Y/N came out first. There was slight movement from the over Titans at their tables but it doubled when Jason came out as well.
Connor scoffed and pointed at Jason, “What’s he doing here? Not only is he a murderer but he’s a traitor.” Komand’r put her hand on his chest and said “Well I don’t know about him but the girl is pretty and I like her style... So maybe we should give her a chance.” Koriand’r had to add her own opinion in there “I think not. After what that girl did, I don’t think she deserves any chances.” Donna looked at Kori and replied “What do you mean chances, Kori? Do you mean the chances you didn’t give her? The chances *WE* didn’t give her?”
Y/N looked at all the arguments slowly coming up and felt the need to speak. “Look, I know I’m not exactly wanted, cared about, and even despised but for the sake of this city let’s put it all behind for now, professionally, and just work together? We all live here, we all want Gotham to stand here and stand tall so let’s just get to work please.” Jason put his hand on her lower back and rubbed it as he could tell she was feeling uncomfortable.
Connor rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, “Your one to talk about working together. How did it feel after Deathstroke disappeared and you had no more support? You worked and it seems now you’re WITH a murderer, you don’t belong here.”
Y/N looked at Connor with a hint of loss of respect and disgust, “Well Connor, if you know so much about if I quote you 'murderers' you would know more about your parents and why mine aren’t here anymore cause of that parent. If I may, look at the woman you’re with, no offense Komand’r but she’s not exactly the brightest of the bunch and on the Deathstroke note, I wouldn’t even know how it felt without his support since I never worked with him or spoke with him.”
Connor stopped talking, looked back at the papers, and put his hand over his jaw like he just had been slapped, which I would too if she said that to me. Komand’r added in a quick “no offense taken,” and smiled at Y/N.
There was a heavy silence till Tim broke it, “Uh guys, we should probably get back to work...We don’t have much time and Ms. Y/L/N, thank you for helping us, you as well Jason.” With that they decided to get to work, Y/N worked with Donna & Kori despite Kori’s remark earlier and Jason worked with Tim & Rachel.
-3RD POV-
Dick looked around in confusion and then spoke loudly to everybody, “Okay everybody stop.” He walked out of the room and called Barbara while the others looked around in confusion.
| Meanwhile, in the room. |
-Y/N’S POV-
There was a heavy awkward silence in the room till Donna sat down in a chair and patted the one next to her for me to sit, “So, Y/N, how have you been.” I looked up from the floor and straightened myself up, “Well, I went back to my hometown with my mom. Surprisingly Selina let me in. I guess the news spread quickly that I got kicked out so she already had my room ready, she let me train with her and stuff. Felt like when she first adopted me all over again, she let me stay for a bit till I found my own place. When I did find my own place, a year later Jason over there showed up at my door and now I’m here.”
Koriand’r rolled her eyes as if I did something to annoy her, “Don’t act innocent, you can’t just come in here and expect forgiveness with a pity story and a new look.” I just stood up and looked at her.
“You know Koriand’r I tried proving myself to you over, and over again. I did that because I looked up to you, I saw you as a mother figure but it just seems that I was absolutely nothing to you. Since you were one of the first to let me go. I just hope one day, you all can forgive me for the mistake that I didn’t even make.”
“I’m not saying you have to forgive me, or even talk to me but at least don’t listen to what that Rose girl put together to get me kicked out of this 'family' that we had.” I stood up and walked to the back room where I didn’t have to deal with the rest of them. It was gonna be a long day.
I heard that Kori & Donna figured out what to do, so I ended up fixing my suit and getting ready but it still didn’t feel right putting it on. Jason came in to comfort me since I guess they gave him hell too, I just didn’t understand. I told them I didn’t do anything and Rachel knows telepathically I didn’t do it, so why is nobody believing me? It’s a question I’ll never know at this point, nor do I care about it. We have a city to save and that’s the only reason I’m here.
-A FEW MINUTES LATER-
We all sat in the main room and Connor explained this “plan” he had and we all tilted our heads. Donna finally broke the silence, “Yeah, we get it. But the storm was our idea.” Pointing at me, Koriand’r, Rachel, Komand’r, and herself. Connor confidently replied “but I drew it on the board! See?” We all just replied “Yup.” and Rachel made a good point, “The question is can we do it without getting ourselves killed?” Koriand’r replied, “there’s only one way to find out.”
*FINALE PART 2 STARTS HERE*
-3RD POV-
As Dick, Tim & Gar settled the plan and got prepared. Gar went into the house and Jason got “caught” trying to get into the house the girls were all down at the Lazarus pit.
-Y/N’S POV-
We walked down the stairs to Lazarus Pit, it’s not as cool as it seems so I was quite disappointed. The only thing I was nervous about was the fact I haven’t used my magic since I left mostly because I started acting like a normal vigilante so I just don’t want to mess this up since we only have one chance.
Blackfire looked at the Pit, “There’s something very wrong about this place.” Rachel walked around it and replied, “it absorbs the worst fears and nightmares of anyone who’s ever been in it.”
I replied, “Extremely dark magic.” Koriand’r looked at Rachel and said, “Too dark for you?” Rachel shook her hand and looked up, “No.” Komand’r looked at Rachel again and said “And if it goes wrong?” “It’s the last thing we’ll ever do, but I feel it won’t go wrong because if you didn’t know Y/N has magic too.”
They looked at me and I just stared at the Pit because I hadn’t told anyone else about the magic other than Rachel & Jason because I didn’t like using it because whenever I did I felt very weak.
Koriand’r proceeded to tell Kom that she didn’t have to do this and Kom told her she wasn’t that scared. I, on the other hand, could easily pass out if this doesn’t go right.
We all got in stance as Rachel and I started it off.
All the memories, flashes of my childhood, watching my parents be murdered, getting kicked out, and a few times when I wasn’t in control of my powers or my body all flashed before my eyes and I had never been more terrified. I managed to keep quiet and focused but it didn’t last as a few tears rolled down my face.
— KORIAND’RS POV —
I was truly scared for Rachel and Y/N, it looked like they were seizing almost taking in all of the Pit. I never knew Y/N had dark magic, she never talked about it or when somebody brought it up she never wanted to say where it came from.
After the whole argument earlier, I started feeling bad because Rachel told me and everybody that Y/N was telling the truth. It wasn’t pity, I was truly ashamed of myself. I looked up at the girls to check if they were okay and I got a response, didn’t sound like Y/N or Rachel, more like a demon. Never again. Komand’r and I then jumped in to take the weight off the girls.
Y/N and Rachel snapped out of it after we put the pit in a shield, they caught their breath and we continued our mission.
- LATER THAT NIGHT – 3RD POV
“Okay, we have one chance at this,” Kori said still using her powers but after that, she released the storm. It was Connor's turn for the plan, they waited for it to start. Donna showed up and helped with the lightning using her lasso of truth, smirked and all she had to say was “You know what they say.”
Jason had left Wayne Manor and went back to the apartment to wait for Y/N.
There was so much more life in the atmosphere than before and it was all thanks to the Titans. Though there was a certain somebody who didn’t feel like one.
-Y/N’S POV-
As we all looked around at all the people walking and coming back to life, this dude showed up and talked to Connor and started fanboying over Donna & Rachel, I didn’t care till he said “Oh my god, your H/N!! I have all your merch can I get a picture after this? I'm getting off topic, sorry, anyway-“ He proceeded to tell us about Komand’r’s ship but after that, I felt the feeling that I didn’t belong there.
After we talked, I turned to Donna, Rachel, Kori, and Connor. “Well, I think it’s time I go. It was nice seeing you all again.” It was bittersweet, as I started walking to my motorcycle Kori grabbed my shoulder and hugged me. I looked at her in confusion as to why she hugged me.
All she said was “I’m sorry. For everything, I- We should have listened to you. I said some very hurtful things to you, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me one-day Y/N.” I smiled, “Kori, that’s all I ever wanted. So I do forgive you,” I looked as all the others that were there came over to me and Kori as well “But I can’t stay. I am not a Titan anymore, this is something you all did. This?” As I motioned to all the people and the sky being blue again, “Is a titan thing, I’m not the same person anymore. For all I know, I was never here. We can still be friends but, I have another path to go down.”
I looked at Connor and smiled, I forgive him for what he said and did but nobody knew the truth so, it’s okay. “I have to get home, I can’t leave Jason waiting so bye guys.” I waved hugged everybody and waved goodbye as I got on my bike and speeded off.
——————————————————————————
A/N: Well how about that? This wasn’t that good in my opinion, I feel like it’s all over the place. I will be taking prompts and ideas since I’m gonna make a mini series of Y/N & Jasons relationship! There will also be an epilogue coming in a few hours but other than that I hope this was okay! I thank you all for the patience and all the support Unexpected Visitor has gotten in the past year. ♥️🫂

OKAY SEASON THREE OF TITANS: 7.5/10
probably giving this too high of a rating but man. if i put blinders on and only focus on jason’s story it’s actually not bad (this review is unfortunately long)
pros: JASON. look tbqh i don’t think this was a good adaptation of jason as a character or the utrh storyline. HOWEVER as it’s own seperate thing i think it was actually pretty good. they set jason’s character up in a way for the events to happen the way they did, and while i could easily nitpick, the core idea and relative execution was pretty good. jason was clearly suffering from ptsd and wanted so desperately to stop being afraid, which steamrolled all of his self worth issues and being outcasted by the titans into culminating as a really fucked up villain arc. also jason’s actor CARRIED the entire season on his back his acting was fucking insane i hope they compensated him for the back problems he has from carrying an entire season. also he killed hank and that’s a solid additional point from me. i really like how much they hammered home just how YOUNG jason is… like he’s just some teen who’s been casted aside by every form of familial support literally all his life, intentionally or through misunderstandings. and it’s so clear that he has problems but no one wants to take the time and help him. and then that leads to him getting easily manipulated by multiple people throughout the show who give him the slightest bit of compassion.
cons: where do i start. didnt like the scarecrow characterization… leaned way too close into being a joker rip off. a lot of the conflicts were dragged on and on. barbra and dick being thieves was stupid. somewhat disdained by the lacking moral complexity of the red hood as a character. the morals within the show and of the main titular characters are insanely flimsy, often hypocritical, and downright superficial, but their hypocrisy isn’t ever pointed out and they’re still painted as “correct” which is really annoying. there was seemingly little lasting consequences to everything that happened? like the lazarus pit was used as a deus ex machina to bring anyone who died back from the dead. tim was nice to see but he was RADICALLY different and also kinda unnecessary. everything about the handling of Bruce Wayne was fucking insane and badly done- he killed the joker and then fucked off for the rest of the season????? Donna troy coming back to life would have been FINE but they managed to somehow make it the most convoluted thing ever when they literally had a) raven’s magic or b) the lazarus pit to use as an excuse to bring her back. how did the entire city get tricked into thinking the titans poisoned Gotham when batman/justice league is an established part of canon and the titans, both new and old, have been also clearly established. crane’s defeat was entirely underwhelming. kori’s b-plot for the season could/should have quite literally been an entire season on its own. SPACE ARC IM JUST SAYING.
the biggest issue this show had was TELLING instead of SHOWING. like they managed to make jason’s death LAME. they didn’t even show him actually dying because they didn’t bother hiring a joker actor. some of the best story beats (jasons death, alfreds death, jims death, barbara’s stint as batgirl/being paralyzed, bruce killing the joker) just aren’t SHOWN but are explicitly mentioned. and the story definitely suffers for it. they very obviously had no idea what to do with batman, gar, or raven so they just kept disappearing into the background. batmans batcave is raided by scarecrow and his police force army but aparently his secret identity is still somehow a secret. the lazarus pit was WAY over used and dick shouldn’t have died.
the first half is definitely better than the second half, with episode 5 being the best one tbh. i think they just really paced this badly and the relationship between jason and the titans suffered a lot from the titans own hypocrisy and that quite literally never gets addressed, which is kind of annoying since they’re supposed to be “heroes”. however when the story wants to hit hard they really can start swinging- the scene between jason and bruce where Bruce benches jason from being robin but can’t communicate how much he loves jason and jason thinks that Bruce is firing him because jason couldn’t live up to the mantle of being dick’s successor, because he wasn’t good enough, was so fucking good. the scene where dick confronts his guilt about pushing jason away and away until jason spirals so badly he gets killed by the joker- how dick subconsciously or otherwise wanting jason dead manifests as dick beating jason with a crowbar in a hallucination. fucked up cinema. anyway i would actually watch this season again but i would not recommend it to anyone ever.

Batman & Batgirl: The Iceberg Heist (Movie Outline)
This movie would be a sequel to my earlier Batman & Batgirl outline, set within a cinematic universe where much of Batman's most well-known stories have all played out. It would also follow a Nightwing movie following shortly after B&B, where Tim Drake was introduced, and Clayface and Poison Ivy both received their origins.
We start out with a “business-as-usual” opening, with Batman and Batgirl working together to go after Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, who have stolen a car and gone on a joyride. They cross paths with Nightwing and his new sidekick Tim Drake, who have been trying to track down Ivy for months. There’s a bunch of playful banter going on, and in the end, they manage to stop the joyride, though Harley and Ivy manage to slip away.
We then cut to the Iceberg Lounge, the Penguin’s bar and a front for his criminal operations, also a popular hangout for criminals and others trying to avoid the law. We see Selina Kyle there, drinking alone and looking sad. We get a couple small flashbacks reminding the audience how she had been paid off to give Batman false information, resulting in the death of Jason Todd. As she is sitting there, she sees Edward Nygma/The Riddler enter the bar, greeting the Penguin in a genial manner, saying he got his message, something about a Batman auction.
The Penguin shushes him, nodding to Selina nearby, and saying he doesn’t want to discuss things around possible rats. He ushers Nygma into a backroom. Selina, curious, sneaks her way up into the ceiling above the backroom, listening in as the Penguin discusses with the Riddler an upcoming auction, how a certain person had approached him, claiming to know the identity of the Batman, with proof, and that he wished to auction this information off to the highest bidder. The Penguin had agreed to host the auction, inviting most of the Gotham underworld, but he was concerned about security, that if news of this auction got back to you-know-who, the lounge itself and all of his clientele would be in danger. The Penguin then hires the Riddler to set up his security, specifically to make it Bat-proof.
We then see a few scenes of Bruce and Barbara in their daily lives, Barbara getting ready to graduate from college, interacting with her dad and the police force, and flirting with Dick, who is struggling to have patience with his new protegee. On the other end, Bruce is struggling but trying to reconnect with Dick, does his best to put on a good public face, and talks to Alfred a bit about Selina. We also get to see Bruce and Barbara working together in the Batcave, having built up a strong rapport with each other. While they are working, they get an alert that the bat signal has been lit up.
Bruce and Barbara both head to the precinct to answer the call. They arrive to see Gordon coming out with his gun drawn, having apparently not lit it up. They are greeted by Catwoman, sitting on the ledge nearby. They all greet her with suspicion, Barbara especially acting defensive of Bruce, remembering the memories she saw in Bruce’s head. Catwoman raises her hands, saying she comes as an ally. Though they don’t trust her, they listen as she explains what is going on at the Iceberg Lounge, and the planned auction of Batman’s identity. She tells them to check it out themselves to verify.
The team tentatively take her advice. Barbara and Dick spend the day staking out the Iceberg Lounge, seeing the Riddler there drawing out plans. They talk a little about Selina and whether she can be trusted, neither of them really big fans of her. Barbara also gets to talk to Tim one on one, surprised he already worked out her identity as Barbara Gordon. Meanwhile, Bruce and Alfred do research on who might have his identity, Alfred trying to talk to Bruce about Selina but Bruce not having it. Bruce pays a visit to Arkham, meeting there Dr. Crane and his new assistant Thomas Elliot. Crane tells him that the Mad Hatter is still safely under his care, though the specialist who’d been working with him resigned a few days ago, one Hugo Strange. Finally, Commissioner Gordon and his detectives gather information, confirming that there are indeed special invitations going around for those seeking to buy the identity of the Batman.
All confirmed, Batman and his allies gather in an abandoned warehouse to formulate a plan, Alfred coming along in a simple black outfit and mask. Catwoman shows up too, offering her help. No one wants to trust her, but Alfred takes the initiative to vouch for her. The rest all ultimately agree, though with great reservation, agreeing at least that she could be useful for the mission. The story becomes something akin to a heist movie from here, with our heroes plotting out their heist, intercut with scenes of them doing it, and some interpersonal interactions between them all, such as Barbara interacting with Gordon and doing her best not to let on who she is. We also get to see some interactions with Bruce and Selina that show there still is a mutual love and attraction between them, but that can’t erase the past.
The first part of the plan involves them playing into the Penguin and Riddler’s expectations. Barbara, Dick, and Tim all go, full costume, to break into the auction, triggering the Riddler’s traps in the process. Meanwhile Selina, her involvement yet unknown, would attend the auction as a guest, with a plus one in tow. As Selina arrives, she is greeted by what looks like Killer Croc, though she soon realizes it’s just a disguise and assumes it to be Batman.
From here, we intercut several scenes of the Trap crew working to figure out the Riddler’s traps and get through, each member having some specific skill that helps them through it. Meanwhile, in the lounge, Selina and “Croc” greet the other guests, including Penguin, Harley and Ivy, Two-Face, and finally the Joker. A tense scene ensues between Selina and the Joker, with Selina nearly attacking him after he makes a joking reference to Jason’s death. Afterwards, as the program begins, Selina sits down next to “Croc” and talks to him about what happened, about the faulty information she’d given him. She confesses to making a mistake and apologizes to him for everything that happened.
Dick, Barbara, and Tim get through trap after trap, coming face to face with the Riddler as he strives to circumvent them at every turn. Finally, working together, they get through the last of his puzzles and beat him down. Just as they are celebrating, they find themselves locked in an electrified cage that the Penguin had rigged up, just on the off-chance that the Riddler failed.
Down on stage, the Penguin starts off the main event, but adds a surprise twist. He unveils the cage with Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin all locked up inside it, saying that whoever wins the bid for Batman’s identity, will also win the privilege of unmasking all three of them as well. He then introduces his special guest, Hugo Strange. Strange comes out to applause, explaining that he was the Mad Hatter’s psychiatrist at Arkham, and that through working with him, he had verified the Batman’s identity, which he had then confirmed by looking into appropriate records and resources.
Strange starts the bidding, with various players tossing out high amounts, including “Killer Croc.” Everyone is surprised, however, when Bruce Wayne enters the room and offers a bid three times higher than the last person. Hugo Strange is even more surprised, and slightly terrified. The Penguin tells the audience that Mr. Wayne donated a very high sum of money to the lounge, and as a thank you, the Penguin had extended to him an invitation to the auction. Strange seems furious, but unable to do anything. He and Bruce then face off, back and forth, with Bruce beating every offer, and Strange desperate for anyone else to take the bid. Finally, Bruce wins, and Strange angrily goes to tear open the envelope.
A blast is triggered the moment Strange rips it open, blowing up half the stage and the podium. Bruce realizes too late and is blown back by it. “Croc” grabs Selina and pulls her out of the way. The Joker bursts into laughter, emerging from the smoke, asking if anyone really expected him to want to actually know the Batman’s identity. That would get rid of the fun. Strange pleads for his life, but the Joker pulls out a gun and shoots him in the head. Harley and Ivy emerge, surrounded by other goons, as Joker says it’s now time to finish what he started, taking aim at the three captive sidekicks.
Suddenly, the room goes dark, as what looks like the Batman sweeps into the room, tackling the Joker and making his shots go wild. Harley and Ivy do their best to fight him, but they can’t see in the dark. Dick, Barbara, and Tim see the unmasked Bruce work his way around behind their cage and get it open, unleashing the three of them. Barbara asks who Batman is, and Bruce makes a passing reference to her dad having a lot of guts before running off. Meanwhile, the Croc pulls off his mask, revealing Alfred underneath, and hands Selina her costume, telling her it’s time to make things right.
For just a moment, Joker and his minions lose track of the Batman. Then, some lights turn on, as the true Batman appears on the balcony above the stage. His appearance is followed by Nightwing, then Batgirl, then Robin, and finally Catwoman. As one, the heroes descend upon the crowd, taking down the Joker, Harley, and Ivy, with Two-Face getting wrapped up in it all as well. The Penguin tries to weasel his way out of it, only for Gordon to show up again with his police force, stating that Bruce Wayne called them after the explosion. Everyone is arrested and led away by the police.
Afterwards, the group are hanging out on the roof, talking about the mission. The kids needle Alfred, saying he should get involved in these more. Catwoman decides to go, with Batman trying to talk to her, but her not feeling quite right about it and leaving. We then see Barbara and Tim bonding over nerd stuff and setting up a time to play D & D, with Dick feeling like a third wheel between them.
A couple of days later, Barbara is sitting with Bruce and Alfred at breakfast looking over the official police reports of the raid on the Iceberg Lounge and the arrests of most of the major criminals currently in Gotham. Barbara says she has plans with Dick and Tim later, and excuses herself to take a call from her father. The doorbell rings, and as Bruce goes to answer it, Alfred tells him to remember what they’d talked about after the heist was over.
Bruce opens the door to find Selina there. He is surprised to see her, and she acts a little shy about it. She mentions that she went back to the scene later that night and found Strange’s letter in the rubble, holding it up. She may have taken a slight peek. Bruce looks at it for a moment and hands it off to Alfred, taking a moment to let go of the past. He invites her inside. Barbara sees her enter, looks a little annoyed, but rolls her eyes and lets it go. We then fade out as Bruce and Selina walk and talk, Selina saying something about “So this is how you get all your gadgets.”
In a post-credits scene, we see Dr. Crane and Dr. Elliot at Arkham, making sure the Joker, Harley, and Two-Face are secure inside their rooms, with Crane looking over the files on Penguin, Riddler, and Ivy to determine if they need to be transferred to his facility as well. Elliot brings up what Strange did, and Crane says that Batman is a valuable ally to them in their work, and it’s a disgrace that one of their own violated his trust in such a way. Later, Elliot goes back to his office and pulls out a small disc, saying it’s a good thing old Hugo saved a backup before pulling out a roll of gauze and tearing off a piece.
What do you think? I always wanted to write a story like this, where the Bat Family takes part in an Ocean's Eleven-style heist to break into the Iceberg Lounge and stop Hugo Strange. It also works in a nice way to feature a majority of the familiar rogues gallery, the same way the previous movie did with Batman's memories.
What did you think? Would you watch a movie like this?

Mental images I'd like to share
Hi hellow these are usually the thoughts that are left marinading in my brain after consuming media, mostly music videos, certain prompts, reflection of real life and etc.
And they are about certain Gotham rogues, because I have no life yet until college will inevitably suck the soul out of my body okay enjoy--
💜 Music Meister
Now in honour of Enchanted and after I've watched the new trailer for its sequel Disenchanted, I went straight to listening to its songs because augh my childhood and of course, True Love's kiss is always a fucking banger and something I'd love to waltz to and want to sing if it weren't for my ratchet alto voice but anyways;
Ah yes, in every chores he plays music as one always do and of course he is always singing along. So it's him in the backyard hanging clothes and sheets.
Gosh imagine Dennis roping you into singing with him-- as he's doing chores some movie soundtrack is playing by the background and what in the middle of hanging laundry with you. His typical theatrical self re-enacts the song True Love's kiss with him being Gisselle, twirling and spinning around the lawn with a laundry basket and clothes to hang and of course you'd cave in when he knowingly looks over you when the part of Prince Edward comes on, you lazily pull him and go along with his gimmicks.
"Giselle! We shall be married in the morning!" You sarcastically recited, before breaking into a song with him, which he finds himself smiling like a dork.
Then after that he is washed by the overwhelming urge to rewatch the movie with you and so after chores, he pulls you with him to squeal about the whole movie and sing along. Sighhhh, oh to have that one day.
🖤 Gotham Oswald Cobblepot
I'm thinking what if he has a child and this child has followed their Father's advice to a T. Like, Oswald and this child are intensely alike... My shipper brain says to include Edward in this relationship because I am a degenerate so this child is a scary mix of Edward's intelligence and friendliness and Oswald's cunning nature and tendancies to do anything to get what they want.
Okay now that's out of the way, imagine this child running for president in their school council just as how her Father Oswald ran for mayor and this child, is sabotaging the opposing candidate and their partylist. One time a student had tried to heckle Oswald and Edward's baby during their speech, and after that the heckler's scholarship is revoked.
Uhhh, gosh my brain is also saying "Hey... What if Barbara Gordon and this child are the same age and they're friends" 👀
So yeah, definitely needs more character expansion, and not to mention, a name.
🧡 Masters of Fear Jonathan Crane
Idk about you, let's give him a bimbo bestie because that's always fun 😚
Big cliché of an extrovert bestie, popular, a part of the cheer leading team, feminine, catty, sweet, nice, confused but she's got the spirit, will throw hands if one dares to throw either literal or metaphorical rocks at Jonathan.
Anyways so they adopt Jonathan, maybe he thinks he fell for them because he can't distinguish platonic feels from romantic ones, but then he finally knows what friendship feels like and so he is just content about their friendship.
He is a touch scared of them because they threw verbal rocks at Sherry Squires during cheerleading practice and went off because Sherry only attends practice to skip classes.
Bimbo bff wards him away from Sherry, so maybe the prank from the Halloween party wouldn't occur at all. So anyways, maybe Jonathan doesn't become the Scarecrow and instead becomes a somewhat well-adjusted individual as an adult, though still a touch stern of a professor who scowls at everyone, save for his bimbo bff, whom he scowls at too, but less irked at them.
💚 Edward Nygma
Okay this is self-indulgent, but I recently got glasses and had this thought brewing about--
So it's Edward teasing a friend of his whenever they squint at objects from afar, telling them it's finally time to become a member of the four-eyed freaks, but friend is adamant about not getting glasses, claiming that they don't need it at all (even if they do)
But one day, the friend being spiteful wants to prove Edward that they don't need glasses, so they stop by a glasses store and got their eyes tested... The autorefractor results states that you need glasses and Edward was smirking with an 'I told you so' look, so he helps you around with picking a pair of frames and after that got sorted with the correct grade of lenses, you were met with a whole new world and billboards and signs were no longer blurry.
"Welcome to the four-eyed freaks." Nudges Edward.

Trees of the Lucyverse!
Tumblr media
“I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree.” ~ Joyce Kilmer
(Everything Except Christmas Trees.)
Tumblr media
“The Marriage License” (1952) ~ To correct an error on their original marriage license, Lucy and Ricky travel to Greenwhich, Connecticut to renew their vows. While there, Lucy makes Ricky renact his proposal at the tree bench where it first happened.
LUCY: “Gee. I don’t remember this seat being so small, do you? I guess the tree grew in a little from each side.”  RICKY: “Let’s face it, we’ve grown out a little from each side!”
Tumblr media
“The Camping Trip” (1953) ~ Lucy wants to do everything Ricky does - including going on a camping trip to go fishing and duck hunting. To make sure she bests Ricky in hunting and fishing, Ethel tags along out of sight, hiding up a tree to make sure Lucy is a sure shot!
LUCY: “These look like pretty good duck trees to me.” RICKY: “This might come as a surprise to you, Lucy, but you find ducks on the water, not up in the trees.”
Later, Ricky spies Ethel in the branches.
RICKY: “Ethel, you get out of that tree!”
Tumblr media
“Lucy’s Last Birthday” (1952) ~ When the Friends of the Friendless marches through the park, a low-hanging tree branch snags Barbara Pepper’s hat knocking it to the ground. Pepper continues the scene hatless and (for consistency) also appears hatless in the next scene inside the Tropicana.
Tumblr media
“Lucy Writes a Play” (1952) ~ The title of Lucy’s first script is “A Tree Grows in Havana”, a pun on “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” a book and a film in the mid-40’s. There was even a Broadway musical of the same title starring Shirley Booth that closed two weeks before the episode filmed.
Tumblr media
“Lucy Hires an English Tutor” (1952) ~ Ricky demonstrates his English skills by reading aloud from a children’s book.
RICKY: "He spent his time in the forest cutting down booges from the trees." LUCY: “Wait a minute. Wait  just a minute. What is this booges?" RICKY: (points to text)“Booges, right in there.” LUCY:“That's boughs.” RICKY: “B-O-U-G-H is bough?” LUCY: “Right.” RICKY: “Bough.”
Tumblr media
“Lucy is Enceinte” (1952)
“Were having a baby, my baby and me. You'll read it in Winchell's That we're adding a limb to our family tree!”
Tumblr media
“First Stop” (1955) ~ On the way to Hollywood, the gang has no choice but to stay at the run-down One Oak Cabins.
In “Lucy and the Stolen Stole” (1964), con-man Harry Barton (Buddy Hackett) lives on Old Oak Drive in San Fernando.
In Danfield, Hoffstedder’s Drugstore is located on Oak Street.
When “Lucy is a Process Server” (1964), she is hired by a new employment agency located on Oak Street.
Tumblr media
“Ethel’s Hometown” (1955) ~ To upstage Ethel on her ego trip homecoming, Fred performs an old vaudeville routine involving a rapidly growing tree!
Tumblr media
“The Tour” (1955) ~ Lucy scales a wall of the Richard Widmark estate to pick a souvenir grapefruit from his tree - then gets caught on the other side.
Tumblr media
“LIttle Ricky’s School Pageant” (1956) ~ Big Ricky’s role in “The Enchanted Forest” is to play a Hollow Tree.
RICKY: “The only father in the whole school that is in show business, and they want me to play a hollow tree.”
LITTLE RICKY: “Why don't you want to be a tree?” RICKY: “Oh. Well, I'm a performer. I've been in show business since I was a...” LITTLE RICKY: “I think you should be a tree. It's more fun to cooperate than to be the center of attention.” RICKY: “You're absolutely right. I'll be a tree.” LITTLE RICKY: “Oh, boy! Daddy's gonna be a tree!  Daddy's gonna be a tree!”
Tumblr media
“The Ricardos Dedicate a Statue” (1957) ~ While seraching for Fred the dog, Lucy decapitates the statue by not looking in the rear view mirror!
LUCY: “I jumped in the car and forgot all about the trailer and backed right into that elm tree.”
Tumblr media
Danfield’s Elm Tree Inn was mentioned in several episodes of “The Lucy Show”: “Chris’s New Year’s Eve Party” (1962),  “Lucy Teaches Ethel Merman to Sing” (1964), and “Viv Moves Out” (1964).
In “Lucy and Bob Crane” (1966), Crane says he owns a home on 993 Elm in Beverly Hills.

Tumblr media
Rescuing Grandma Sutton’s cat from up a tree is the first call of the Danfield Volunteer Women’s Fire Brigade in “Lucy and Viv Are Volunteer Firemen” (1963). The incident is mentioned again in “Lucy Drives A Dump Truck” (1963).
Tumblr media
“Chris Goes Steady” (1964) ~ Lucy Carmichael and Mr. Mooney are stranded in a Jerry and Sherman’s tree house hoping to catch their kids eloping. They didn’t count on a snowstorm while they waited.
Tumblr media
“Lucy the Rain Goddess” (1966) ~ At a dude ranch, Lucy and Viv listen to a guide Tex Critter (Willard Waterman) explain the local foliage.
TEX: “Now... this is a Joshua tree, and there's a real romantic story behind it. You know all about the birds and the bees. Well, this is a love triangle between two Joshua trees and a little bee called the Joshua Tree Bee. See, the Joshua trees depend on this little bee to carry the pollen from one to the other. You know, it makes me feel poetic. Where would the Joshua tree be without the Joshua Tree Bee?”
Tumblr media
“Lucy and Curtis Are Up A Tree” (1986) ~ In this unaired episode of “Life With Lucy,” Curtis is building a tree house for Kevin. When Kevin overhears his grandparents are planning to move out, he removes the ladder to the tree house stranding them in a rain storm.
Tumblr media
The Arnaz-Morton family poses between the boughs of a tree (1965).

A frequent visitor that Barbara Martin and I see at Lake Parker and Circle B Bar Reserve is the Limpkin. They forage for Apple Snails. This one was exploring the trunks of the Bald Cypress trees on the shore of Lake Parker. The first time that I saw a Limpkin I thought it was a type of Ibis. But it's beak has less of a curve and it is bigger than an Ibis. According to Cornell Labs, the Limpkin is more closely related to Rails and Cranes.
