Tony Stark thought the world couldn't surprise him anymore. Not after the Alien Invasion, or his tech coming back to kill him. With everything he's gone through by himself, or with the other Avengers, he figured there was nothing left.

That was until FRIDAY informed him of an intruder in his lab.

When Tony rushed in there, armor ready to go, he was met with something he wasn't expecting.

First, he didn't see anyone.

Then, there was the crying. A soft sound of sobs trying to be stifled.

Finally, he found his intruder.

A much too young girl curled beneath one of his tables, face streaked with tears and fear as she stared up at him with wide blue eyes.

That wasn't the shocking part. The absolutely terrifying thing was the fact she's melting.

Actually, wholeheartedly, melting before his eyes. Her pale skin blended with the strange glowing green substance dripping from her.

The fear Tony felt shifted immediately from terrified of what he'll find, to terrified for this little girl.

Mind already racing a mile a minute trying to piece together something. Anything. Anyway to stop this sobbing child from literally disintegrating before his eyes.

Before his brain could connect to his mouth, the little girl uttered out a desperate whisper.

"I need my dad, please."

Danny's parents work for HYDRA

When he was five his parents finished the portal and were showing it to the people that they work for, his parents were sad when the portal did not turn on and the others that they worked for did not look pleased.

Danny wanted to help his parents so after they left he went into the portal to try to figure out wants wrong, he step in and tripped his head, and hit something that made his whole body burn he remember screaming and pain before it all fade to black.

He later woke up in a room that was not his it was bare except for the mattress that he was laying on. For the next 8 years, he would be tortured, experimented on, and trained to be a weapon until the Avengers are sent out to retrieve a weapon from HYDRA.

He can't feel anything.

He is floating and thank the Ancients, he can't feel a thing.

It takes quite some time he thinks until he feels something again. Phantom is in the ghost zone. But Danny was just in his parents lab - ithurtssomuchdadstopplease! - but now Phantom is here...

After some time he realized that he feels different, even though he can't explain why. But he didn't have much time, Jazz was probably worried sick. He needed to get home.

He found the portal without a problem and flew through. But the panic set in as soon as Phantom saw the lab. Instinctual he was going invisible and intangible. Danny died here. There is no Danny anymore, just Phantom.

After his panic attack he spots other ghosts. Mostly Blobs and Animals. Some already vivisected, some just in cages. But he also finds Boxlunch. Just bound to his death spot the operation table. She wasn't hurt yet. He quickly frees everyone and takes the injured Ghost to the Far Frozen.

This was going on for weeks. Just Phantom trying to rescue the other Ghosts from his parents lab and later from the GIW labs. The Fentons started to work full-time for them.

But then they moved bases. Away from Amity Park. Just far enough that he couldn't reach them anymore, without burning through all of his ectoplasm and then some.

But they had kidnapped Desiree, Technus and a few more Ghosts! And he needed to safe them!

He remembers some rumors he heard in the Zone. In Gotham exist a Revenant. The Avenger of the unavenged. The Red Hood. And with the Infini-Map he could find a natural portal to Gotham. It was a long shot, but his last hope.

So he flys invisible through the dark streets of Gotham, frantically searching.

Jason was about to throttle his family, every single one of them at the same time. He was already trying to punch the Demon Brat, when a white haired, floating teen with Lazarus green eyes materializes in front of him.

The teen completely ignored the Bats and zeroed in on Red Hood with a look of desperate hope.

"My parents killed me and they are killing more of my friends"

My Best Friend Is A Dead Teenage Robot

Tony is annoyed to say that he didn’t even know about the kid until his presence was impossible to ignore.

It comes in the most startling of ways.

Specifically, by FRIDAY ignoring his question.

“Friday?” Tony says again to the open air, still devoid of the music he’d asked for.

“I apologize sir, I seem to be on a bit of a delay-“ there’s a pause as her voice sounds notably distracted, “The majority of my processing power is being used to maintain a firewall. There is a disturbance on level 23, sir.”

Alarms blare in the back of Tony’s mind as he immediately turns back out of his lab. What disturbance could take up the majority of Friday’s processing power?

She ran the tower for Pete’s sake!

Needless to say, it is not what he is expecting when the elevator doors open to reveal one of his R&D labs being torn apart by the new bionic herding bots and a young man furiously coding in the middle of the room with an armed robot not unlike Dum-E defending him with a soup thermos.

“It seems you have found the source of the disturbance, Sir.”

The man stuck in the middle of it turns to Friday’s voice, spotting Tony standing with one foot out of the elevator.

His dark skin goes impressively pale.

“Dannyyy!!! If you’re gonna stop Technus, do it now!!” He yells, slamming enter on his keyboard before kicking away a robot dog getting close to him.

“On it.” A voice speaks. And the one armed bot from before zooms over to hold down the dogbot, letting the man plug something in and just as quickly yank it out.

Too fast for Tony to understand, the thermos is uncapped and what he now realizes is a USB drive, is dropped in.

The movement of the room drops with a clatter.

“Hey…. Dr.Stark…” the man says,

Tony blinks.

He looks at the kid. Then at the cluster of engineers trembling against the wall.

Then at the ceiling. There’s a hole.

Plaster rains down, drawing his eyes to the one armed robot.

It waves cheerfully.

“Put your fricking arm down Danny!” The man whispers forcefully.

The robot arm lowers.

He’s standing in the middle of the wreckage in front of Tony, as if awaiting judgment. Slowly, the young man lifts his own arm to a half wave, “Please don’t fire me for this.”

Tony blinks again-

“Why do you get to wave and I don’t!?” A voice says, almost whining.

The young man kicks the robot next to him. It silences.

Tony smiles, “What’s your name kid?”

He hesitates, “.. Tucker.” There’s a pause, “.. uh, Dr. Stark, sir.”

Tony smiles again, the one that Pepper says means PR trouble, “Please kid, call me Tony. Anybody that can make an AI like mine deserves to call me Tony.”

Tucker freezes at being obviously caught, “A what?”

His AI’s voice also answers damningly, “A what?”

DP x Marvel

SHIELD knows about Phantom but they give him a low level threat classification because they think he can't leave his haunt.

This impression stems from a few curious Avengers coming to meet Danny and insinuating that he'd be a good addition to the team. Danny is thrilled at the idea but then thinks about how much Amity would suffer without him and has to reject their (unofficial) offer. He says

"That sounds amazing, but as much as I'd like to, I can't leave my haunt."

What he means is "can't leave my haunt unprotected" but his denial gets interpreted literally. As in Phantom physically cannot leave his "haunt". Maybe he even escorts them to the edge of town and is like "Well, this is as far as I can go, but it was nice to meet you all. Stay safe and keep protecting the rest of the world :)" that of course being as far as he can go and still get back in time for his next class.

Dying to see you again

When Danny and Jason briefly died, they met in a Limbo state somewhat. They became friends then boyfriends.

Unfortunately, what might seems like months for them was only a few minutes in the real world. Our boys got yanked back to the living.

They still retain their memories of what happened during that between state and decide to find each other.

When Sam and Tucker dared him to take a DNA test, Danny did not expect to see a completely different name from Jack Fenton.

The last thing Tony expected to happen today was FRIDAY announcing that "somebody by the name of Daniel Fenton wishes to see James Barnes."

He also wasn't expecting the kid to actually look like Bucky in any way. Yet he was wrong. He was almost a spitting image of the former Winter Soldier. The kid also had DNA test results. Of course, he would still be doing his own test on him, he's not stupid enough to believe they were real at first glance.

... Holy Shit. Bucky had a kid.

Another random continuation snippet based on the post.

If he was asked, Tony would say this whole situation felt like a fever dream.

One moment he was working on blueprints, the next he's working to calm down a melting little girl.

It wasn't long before her melting seemed to slow, and hiccups became more spaced out. The number she gave him to call was a disconnected line.

"Trust me, he got the call."

In any other situation, he wouldn't trust her.

But he has very little experience with kids, let alone with them melting.

Not to mention the sudden bounce back she had was astonishing. The moment the green liquid seemed to slow and harden into a more gel like substance, her panicked breathing slowed to almost nothing.

Ectoplasm. Ghosts. Clone. Destabilizing.

All words used only garnered more questions. Tony was sure about one thing. There was no way in hell he was going to let her die.

It took everything in him not to point his repulsors at the green portal that opened behind her. The same green as the ectoplasm.

It took a whole lot more effort not the react to what stepped through.

The being towered over everyone in the room. Black gravity-defying hair, blood red eyes, and fangs. Actually real fangs.

To make matters worse, he was blue.

"Ellie!"

Funny enough that was when Tony learned her name. The way she light up was all the scientist needed to know.

This was her dad. This strange creature that glowed. That stared at him like he could see his soul. That lit up every survival instinct Tony had.

Thing was, this man wasn't the most terrifying thing in the room.

From behind him, just before the portal closed, another one walked through.

He looked just like Ellie. Black hair, blue eyes. They could very well be twins. If Ellie hadn't mentioned being a clone, Tony would have thought they were.

This child, almost the smallest in the room if you didn't account for the melting one, had goosebumps running all across his skin. His hair standing on it's ends.

Even as he spoked to them, told him everything he gathered, and all that he knows. Even as he hid his fear, pushed past the overwhelming atmosphere.

Even as the kid, Danny, acted like a child.

There was no doubt in his mind that he was dangerous. Not dangerous like the vampiric one. Not dangerous like an every day criminal, or new metahuman.

Dangerous in the way of world domination.

This kid was deathly strong, he screamed it even as he fussed over Ellie like a hen mother. Even as his eyes lit-up once he realized he was in the same room as Tony Stark.

Tony never got his answer. He's left baffled and filled with questions as they disappeared into a new portal.

Two things were for certain.

Tony was rewatching the camera footage later, possibly showing it to Bruce. To try and decipher the mess that found itself into his lab.

Second thing?

Tony prays to whatever being there may be out there that he never crosses path with any of them ever again.

Tony was walking around the Expo, kind of bored of it. As he saw a young boy working on something, it looked like an energy source. And he put his hand out and read about the Patent the boy seemed to have written. It had a few errors, but with his young age, it was normal. He would have Jarvis and Pepper look over it later, so the boy isn't ripped off and cheated of his idea and money.

Tony found something interesting, and this will be a joy for him.

Danny, who was happy to have finished building the Fenton energy source from his memories, took a bit to fix it so that it used the Air and Wind in a room. It was weaker than what his parents created, but still very effective.

He could get money from it as he would like more pocket Money.
