Leshawna’s handling in the show and by the fandom is disgusting and makes me so uncomfortable.

I get that all of the td characters are based off of a stereotype especially the Gen 1 cast but they were stereotypes of teenagers not racial stereotypes (which is what LeShawna is, she’s the sassy black girl, even dj is a subversion of the stereotype for black guys [tough and aggressive] Leshawna IS a stereotype) she barely has any character outside of stereotyping, has never had a character arc not relying on another character and was tossed aside the moment they exhausted all of her potential relationships.

Not only that but the discrimination she faces throughout the show is way worse then any other character I’ve ever seen and is played off for laughs somehow (a lot of characters go to insults for her is her hair her dancing or calling her ghetto)

The majority of the fandom barely acknowledges it and honestly kind of makes it worse (despite being so “popular” I’ve literally never seen a lesharold focus fic that isn’t smut)

Leshawna deserves so much better then she gets end of story
