So this appeared on my ‘recommended for you’ page and at first I was lost because I didn’t know what it was about, but I read your answer and I just felt a sense of familiarity with your words that was very comforting for some reason, then I read Outlaw and I was fascinated. I’ve never, in the six years that I’ve been on this app, felt more seen and inspired by a character, because our situations (that you explained in her backstory) are quite similar. I’m studying a law degree, and I’ve always been at the top of my class in high school, but when I started uni, I realized how much I hate studying (I love learning, reading, doing research, but studying it’s not my thing anymore, it feels like a chore), and I started feeling very numb to everything, I couldn’t figure out what was going on with me until I decided, to do something, to start combat defense in a gym, and it was like Jesus appeared in front of me and smacked my face, I finally felt something. I realized that I only recognized my emotions, and maybe because when you’re being beaten you can’t really think about anything else, when I was facing high intensity dangerous situations. As you said about razor, u can’t have a mental breakdown if you’re focused on surviving lmao. So I decided a few days ago to finish this degree as good as I can and join the army right after. Just as razor, I’ve never stayed in the same city for more than two years because of my parents job, so I’m very used to pack a few things and just leave everything behind, maybe joining the army, being part of something bigger than me, will help me a little. I’m not from the USA so I’m sorry if I made any mistake, I’m from Spain so English is not my first language ;( anyways, I love you so much for creating this amazing fic, and this amazing character, really, it may seem like I’m dramatic asf but it’s really comforting for some reason. Do you think razor (or should I say fly fruit 😜) felt like that at some point? I really really enjoyed her backstory. Thank you again really and I’m sorry for the big ass bible I just wrote, you don’t have to answer if it’s too much 😅
Have a nice week lovely 🙏🏻
Hey lovely. First of all, I’m so sorry for how long it has taken for me to respond to this beautiful message.
Your words mean so much to me. They arrived in my inbox on a hard day and truly meant the world. Still do.
Thank you for taking the time to tell me a little bit about yourself (I love hearing about the people who enjoy what I write) and it’s crazy cool that you’ve related to Razor so much !!! I never could’ve dreamed that something from my mind resonated in someone’s life so much. I don’t think it’s dramatic at all! This is part of sharing what you create; hoping someone out there connects with it in the way that you’ve expressed to have done.
I think Razor absolutely felt like that. A little lost, a little not knowing what to do, but the overwhelming urge to do something all-encompassing. Something challenging and foreign, chasing that stability and camaraderie. I really liked writing her and it’s so cool that you could see yourself in this story.
Your message is all kinds of lovely and perfect. Thank you very much 💜
All the best as you finish up law school and embark on a totally new path in life 💜

So I've been thinking, there's a bunch of animal people in teyvat, but i don't think razor has ever actually met any, so I'm thinking, how would the bestest boy react to a wolf-human reader?
so true, razor is the bestest boy <3
first thing first, he'd sniff you as a way to identify and familiarize himself. although your scent is a foreign one, razor doesn't find himself recoiling. you look kind... and you're just like him! his curiosity about you is so piqued he even starts to circle you like a vulture, except he's more akin to a vulture with puppy eyes.
are there more people like the two of you outside wolvendom? where did you come from? why has he never met you before? lots of questions, but speaking is hard... so, razor hopes you can still understand him without having to use words.
the wolf boy is happy to see another one of his kind, but he can't shake off the feeling of realization that comes to him and it's a melancholic one.
you have wolf ears and a tail... you're a real wolf, razor is not. it's fine, he thinks about these sad things and us

For what it's worth, I think you'd pull off a full 5 o'clock shadow perfectly. 😉
It’s funny because I have two modes. I’m either cleanly shaven (I keep my goatee), or I just grow my beard out all the way. I actually don’t like the stubble, it’s very itchy and it feels weird to me. But thank you for saying that!! 💜🫶🏻

Yeah I did, I mean I work part time so I didn’t hit jackpot here. On the other hand I’m just working and protesting for fun so I rlly shouldn’t expect too much 😭
As far as I’m aware, every EU citizen has the right to attain a permanent stay permission in any other EU country ( and Switzerland) as long as they either have a job there, study there or have some spouse which can prove that they can provide for you and pay your insurances. Like when I first moved for my studies I just got into the bureau there like 😗✌🏽 and got 15mins later my permission.
Ah there are a ton of jobs which are permanently understaffed in Germany, the issue is that you actually have to know German and German is a pain in the ass for all foreigners
There’s this Vietnamese tiktoker who moved to Germany and like tells about her life and all the german oddities, you need to study her tiktoks to understand where you aspire to live in hjsjsjs. @ uyenthininh
I mean there are for sure cheaper hairdresser here, but I don’t have the nerve to search for them and the Turkish salons are too far away from me
Have you tried doing the slit by yourself? Like idk how many times I did a slit on accident while tweezing my brows, so like even when ppl dumbly ask about it you can just say it was an „accident
Ey made a difference with one more extra person
Ohhh I think I read somewhere that it's lessened from 10 to 5 years if you're live in some part Europe but I'd have to check that out again. But ye between Germany in Spain it will be easier to try and apply for citizenship in Spain it I'll have to take Spanish lessons first tho I feel like it will be easier than German like it's at least easier to pronounce stuff I am bad at that.
Oh I've seen her tiktoks actually but like in passing kdjskdj I'm not even sure if I'm just gonna straight up move to Germany after Spain like we'd still have to discuss it
Ohh ok ye then Bangkok it is then. Also I can't my hands are kinda shaky. They're shaky enough that I can't take good photos most of the time but I'm still able to draw

something about hyperfeminine reader x rick.... another anon said he'd adore pink nail polish & i so totally agree. maybe cause he's so rough and sharp edged? and it's the very opposite of him? so the pretty pink skirts & sweet perfume you always wear would make his brain fuzzy in the best way !! 🤧
using this as an excuse to write something extremely self indulgent 🤍 obsessed with this sweet, girly, almost bimbo reader that Rick can’t help but be a little extra soft with… <3
When he steps out of the shower and onto the bathmat, he can’t help but smile at the sight of you sitting on the sink, one foot up and crouched over, focused intently on the toenail you’re currently painting. And he can’t help but notice how cute it is that your tongue is poking out the side of your mouth.
Rick rubs a towel on his hair and then wraps it around his waist, walking over to the dresser in the bedroom and grabbing some boxers. You’re a little too immersed in perfecting the pale pink pedicure to notice that he even finished his shower.
“Need some help?” He asks, coming up to the sink and reaching into a drawer. Grabbing some shaving cream and a safety razor.
You look up at the sound of his husky voice. Taking in the sight of his wet hair. Curls forming and dripping onto his shoulders. His torso, glistening with little beads of water that are racing to meet the waist band of his plaid boxer shorts.
“Hm?” You say. The sight of him went straight between your legs, making you almost immediately forget his question.
“D’you need some help there, sweetie?” He nods towards the hand gripping at Essie’s ballet slippers.
“Oh. No, I just finished. Thank you though,” you smile up at him sweetly, screwing the cap back on the bottle and turning to let your legs dangle off the marble countertop.
He positions himself in between your legs and against the vanity, while you lean back on your hands. Watching his brows draw together in focus as he rubs shaving cream along his jaw, his chin and the bottom half of his face. Grabbing the razor, he starts to make long, languid strokes down his face and neck. The blade moving with ever curve of his jaw, so smooth and intentional. But he can feel you staring. Glancing from the mirror to your gaze and then back. Trying to fight the smirk from forming on his face.
“Is it hard?” You ask, oblivious to the teasing grin on his face.
“Shaving?”
“Yeah. Aren’t you scared you’re gonna cut yourself, or somethin’?” You ask, doe eyes wide and curious. And the sight makes him think about you on your knees, having looked up at him in nearly the exact same way, all sweet and eager and so fucking perfect.
Rick shakes his head, at both the intrusive thought and your question, “Not really. Don’t you shave your legs? It’s the same thing, sweetheart.”
“But this is on your face. And you’ve seen how many times I end up nicking myself.”
He smiles, knowing that it’s true. Watching you sit on the side of the tub, silky robe leaving very little to the imagination as you glide a razor up your legs, trying to go nice and slow and get every little hair. Turning sharply to look at him with wide eyes and a hand on your mouth when you both notice a crimson droplet, trickling all the way down to your ankle.
“Yeah. You aren’t so good at that are you?” He chuckles, pressing a quick peck to your mouth which you immediately wipe off because now there’s shaving cream on your nose.
It takes everything in his power not to kiss you again.
“So how do you always get it so good?” Your honeyed voice brings him back.
“Practice I guess. You wanna try?”
“And leave you with any more scars? No thank you.” You joke.
“C’mon. Give it a try.”
“You sure?”
He nods, urging the razor into your hand and leaning in for you, “Mhm. I trust you.”
You gulp at that comment. Hoping he can still keep that trust in a few minutes when you’re all done.
You try to copy what he was doing, going extra slow over the ridge of his jaw and the bump of his adam’s apple. He hums in approval and you take it as some kind of praise. Sitting up straight and a little more confident now that his hands have moved to your hips, pulling you to the edge of the counter. Panties now flush with his groin.
“I did it.” You say triumphantly, handing him back the razor and letting your hands slide around his waist, fingers interlocking on top of his tailbone. Cheek pressed to his chest as he leans forward to rinse the razor under the faucet beside you. Tapping the metal on the counter twice. The sound echoing through the room, before he places it on a folded towel on the other side of the sink.
He leans back up to look at you. Pretty eyes and pouty lips. Hair all soft and natural, and tucked behind the dainty gold jewelry dangling from your ears.
“Y’look so pretty.” You marvel, one hand coming up to his jaw. Freshly shaved, so smooth and warm. With just the tiniest strip of leftover shaving cream that needed to be washed off.
You are so much prettier, sweet girl, he thinks to himself. Unable to form a verbal answer now that you’re touching his face. His heart doing somersaults like it was the first time. It isn’t. But he loves feeling like it is.
Being with you in this moment makes him forget what was stressing him out before his shower. Completely unbothered by the tedious week he’d had helping the Tobin with the walls.
Now, all he can even think about is you. Your face. Your voice. Your long legs and the holy temple in between them.
He closes his eyes at your touch, soft and delicately tracing your way down his jaw. The attention sending a tingly, serene feeling up his neck and down his spine.
He can’t even help what he does next. Not that he really needed to. And definitely not that he wanted to. He pulls you in, tangling his fingers into the locks at the nape of your neck. Kissing your soft, plush lips and tracing a tongue over your bottom one.
You taste like candy. And you smell like a vanilla cupcake. And the combination of the two makes him want nothing more than to take a damn bite.
Gosh, you couldn’t be more different from him. So pure and soft and sweet. So fucking kind and perfect. And though he may be a bit biased given your relationship and all, he’s positive that not a soul in Alexandria would disagree.
Your breath hitches in your throat as he pulls your legs around his waist, and he can’t help but smile against your lips and think to himself how fucking lucky he is that he found someone who can be his escape. Who can make his brain feel all fuzzy and his heart feel way too full. Who effortlessly distracts him from everything that’s wrong with in the world, just by being your beautiful self.

You're shocked, heartbroken, in shambles, you name it. The grocery bag almost slips from your fingers when you hear the horrid sound of the electric razor from the bathroom. You place the bags on the counter before practically running inside.
You want to douse your eyes with gasoline when you see the damage. Bradley had been mentioning here and there that he wanted to shave his moustache just to see how he'd look without it. You'd forbade such talk inside the house, and he chuckled before dropping the subject.
But what seemed to be your biggest fear was becoming your new reality. With your keys clutched in one hand, the other holding on for dear life at the door frame, you watch your dear boyfriend shave the last of his moustache over the sink.
He hasn't noticed you yet. Music is playing from his phone, but you can't bring yourself to recognise the tune. This situation is way too tragic. When the buzzing sound stops emanating from the vile machine, Bradley finally turns around, having heard your panting.
"Babe, this isn't what it looks like." He speaks with hesitation and guilt.
"What did you do?" Your every word is punctuated.
Bradley opens his mouth but closes it, and you shake your head expectantly. "Well?"
"I-I was trimming it, and Din here," he looks at your cat, laying on the floor as if he's the criminal here, "came between my legs and scared me, and I moved my hand, and I shaved more than I should. It didn't look good anymore."
You scoff, pushing yourself off the doorway and turning to walk to your bedroom. Not once did you believe Bradley.
"Babe? Baby, c'mon!"
"I am not talking to you, hairless cat."
You hear him chuckle. "Hey, it's not that bad!" Bradley follows you into the bedroom.
"Never said it was." You shrug, taking your shirt off.
He's behind you in seconds, kissing your neck, his hands encircling your waist and pulling you closer. "You called me a hairless cat."
"Don't have a problem with cats. I own one." You pause, looking up. "Now, I got another one! Hm! Look at that!"
"Hey!" Bradley blows a breath where your jawline meets your ear, causing you to shiver.
You spend a few seconds like this, his hands around you, your back pressed against his smooth shirtless chest, face buried in your neck. Feels weird without the stache.
"So, you don't like it?" You realise you've spoken aloud when he questions you.
You shake your head. "I think you look attractive either way." You turn to Bradley, never escaping his grasp.
"I'm only joking. You look like a baby. It's adorable!"
Bradley looks offended. "Well, in that case, I am letting it grow and never shaving it ever again."
You grab the back of his head, kissing where he used to have perfectly trimmed hair. The spot is soft and smooth as a baby's butt.
You can't help but smile.

FIRST KISS WITH KAZ!!! Maybe through fabric or just working through his touch aversion to get there
'Need' - Kaz Brekker x reader
Tumblr media
Prompt - An overview of the relationship which brings the Bastard of the Barrel's hardened walls crashing down. But how long will it take for him to show his true longing for you? - Pairing: Kaz Brekker x Reader(gender neutral) - Warnings: Mentions of Kaz's trauma but nothing too detailed, just Kaz being desperate to be with you :) - A/N: Thank you so much for requesting anon! I hope this is okay, its my first fic ever so please leave any criticism or improvements you may have. also please let me know if we like this style of writing <33 PLEASE REQUEST!!
════ ∘◦ᵒ 𓅓 ᵒ◦∘ ════
Kaz had many things he wanted. Kruge, power, and revenge were among his most desired, however there was only one thing that he slowly began to realize he truly needed.
You.
After a long period of brushed hands and stolen glances, the Bastard of the Barrel had finally confessed his fondness for you, planting the seed of a rough but beautiful love. Even before the possibility of a true relationship bloomed, you knew that any form of intimacy was a weakness for Kaz, and an opportunity for his enemies to strike.
In order to counter this, you and Kaz spent endless hours breaking down his barriers within the confines of his room at the slat, and on occasion the office at the crow club. It began with small acts of service, bring Kaz tea when he was working too long, him bringing small gifts back from the market, even exchanged notes of gratitude or compliments.
As Kaz began to remove his armour, he reluctantly allowed you closer and closer, until the two of you began to work on his undeniable fear of physical contact.
It started off slowly and rarely, with his gloves still permanently clinging to his scarred hands as he adjusted to touching your arm or hand through several layers of material. Each attempt left Kaz with a bubbling feeling in his chest as if he was longing for something he couldn’t quite place, although he pushed down any thought of needing you more than he already did.
Each gentle smile, kind touch, or loving word chipped his armour more, growing the intensity of the feeling within his chest. A need for you.
This feeling buried itself deep within Kaz’s heart, growing in intensity each time he saw you, and consuming him completely if he ever saw you in the embrace of another.
Kaz trusted you fully, at least to his personal limit, having been raised by a city full of deception and misfortune himself. As a result, he would never blame you for seeking comfort in the touch of others despite your relationship, he knew it was cruel to deny you this, and was confident in your loyalty and love for him.
Yet his heart and mind found it easy to experience a taste of bitterness towards whoever was fortunate enough to be graced with a swift hug or gentle touch from you, often being another of his crows.
Deep down he knew it was immature of him to have something as low as jealousy completely overtake him, but each touch they received sent daggers flying directly through his chest, lodging themselves deeply into his already aching heart.
The boiling jealousy would be quickly dispelled as you made your way over to him, brushing your fingers over his gloved ones and smiling softly at the clearly frustrated boy.
As time went on, the touch Kaz’s body could allow increased, both in receiving and giving. Words of praise besides the touch aided in the rocky yet manageable journey, however eye contact was easily the most efficient way of communicating what both lovers meant.
To most throughout the barrel, a quick glance from the infamous Dregs leader is enough to set even the fiercest gang member’s blood racing, chilling their insides simultaneously with its razor-like edge.
Yet somehow, after studying your beautiful bosses face for long enough, you cracked the code on his impenetrable gaze, soon being able to decipher even the smallest slips of emotion through a twitch or a shift in his glare. Kaz often contemplated how you managed to read him so efficiently, settling on you perhaps using one of his own lock-picking techniques to unravel his emotions and ultimately, his heart.
════ ∘◦ᵒ 𓅓 ᵒ◦∘ ════
As a result of this skill, you were immediately able to sense a change in Kaz’s stance and mood as you gently shut the door to his office behind you and made your way over to his desk. “I brought you tea my love,” you quietly said, not wanting to provoke the clearly tense man in front of you.
Frequently Kaz would be in difficult moods after jobs, his mind buzzing with adrenaline and further plans for more tasks he needed to instantly begin planning. As you broke down his barriers, you managed to reduce this urgency, always gaining at least an hour or two to help him; bringing him tea, running him hot water to wash with, finding new books to discuss and read together, or even just admiring the city from the rooftops.
However this was different, the job was supposedly simple, but every aspect had gone awry and almost cost multiple dregs their lives. After complicated missions such as these, you knew Kaz needed space to breath, with a single glance in your direction a clear indicator of whether your presence was needed or not in that moment (however he always called for you as soon as he was able).
Tension radiated through the air, and although you weren’t afraid of his tempers like the others, you were feeling uneasy at your own inability to read what was crossing his mind. His shoulders were hunched as he slowly lifted his blistering gaze to meet yours, lacking the usual softness they held only for you, yet not containing any hostility.
He huffed out a sigh, stormy eyes locked on yours, thoughts racing inside, but not translating to his eyes, your only window into his troublesome mind. “I don’t know what to do” he finally muttered as you patiently waited for him to formulate his words.
After many hours spent with him, you had learnt how strenuous verbal communication was for him, and how often he just needed time to articulate his answers and force them out into the open. So, as he settled back into the silence of the office, you shifted the chair opposite to his and made yourself comfortable, allowing him to calm his raging thoughts with your familiar presence.
“Its too much. Each time we leave and come back it grips me, tighter and tighter,” he stumbles out, forcing the sounds of each word out of his mouth as if he is battling with his mind to allow them to be heard. Despite your lack of context, you gave a soft reassuring smile, nodding towards him and taking a sip of your tea to allow him a moment to breathe and continue.
“On jobs, or at the club, I can’t escape it,” he states breathlessly, before continuing, “How is it possible to need something so badly, yet my greatest need is the one thing I cannot truly have?” immediately signalling that this must be about his feeling of imprisonment his body forces upon him.
He slowly rose from his seat, limping towards you with a strong air of determination, eyes glued to yours as you scanned him in a failed attempt to decode his actions. You gazed up as he loomed over you, planting himself only a few feet away, the proximity making a beautiful warmth spread through your chest at his comfortability with you.
“I know I cannot give you what you need. You reassure me, yet I know it is not enough to live behind walls, barriers, defences.” He states, voice shaking at the end of each cadence, showing an impressive amount of bravery to admit his deepest concerns to you. He continued, “But I cannot live that way either,” his face leaning closer to yours, your breath suddenly hitching in your throat, cheeks glowing with a rosy flush.
“It’s too much, knowing I cannot have you in the way that you deserve. That…” he trails off, face shifting closer to yours with each word, inch by inch breaking down both of your defences. After swallowing thickly and regaining himself, he continues “That I want.”
By now his breath sends warm ripples across your skin, rendering you speechless at Kaz’s ability to fight his demons, striking them down for just enough time to reach you, even for a moment.
“But I know what I want, and I will be damned if anything stops me from getting it,” he demands, dangerously low, conflicting with the vulnerability displaying in his eyes, showing his internal conflict as he pushes his boundaries to the limit, leaving you certain the waters are chest high by now. However, his next action dispels any thoughts you had before, rendering you stunned.
“I want you,” he whispers before crashing his lips against yours.
Although it couldn’t have lasted longer than 3 seconds, the bliss that overwhelmed the pair of you was astounding, pure love radiating between you without the waters washing away the moment. Shortly after, the ocean regained its grip, forcing him to stumble back a good few feet, shaking violently and gripping the desk for support.
What surprised you the most was his expression.
He wore the faintest, yet most heartfelt smile you had ever seen grace his lips, filled with pride at his victory and ability to not only communicate, but finally act on his desires.
Your eyes pricked with tears as the emotions overcame you, your chest filling to the brim with love for the man, however you knew better than to stay any longer and prolong the inevitable current that was already overwhelming him. You stood quietly, slowly removing your jacket and placing it neatly on the table, eyes permanently glued to Kaz to ensure you remained a suitable distance.
He shakily nodded his head in thanks, breathing becoming shallower as he attempted to regain a sense of rhythm, grabbing the coat and waveringly making his way around his desk.
Early in the process of unravelling his fear of touch, you discovered that he found great solace in items of yours, especially for the times when he couldn’t convince his own mind that you were warm and present, not like the frigid bodies that plagued him. They gave him a piece of yourself to grasp onto when your physical presence was too much.
It shattered your heart into splinters at the idea of leaving him in this state, but you knew it was what he needed, and the certainty that within an hour or two he would be calling for your presence brought a sense of calm over you.
As you reached to lightly close the door, you looked up to find him staring at you through his trembling state, a triumphant look still faintly glittering in his eyes. You sent him a comforting smile, tears creating a glassy sheen over your eyes, illuminated by the candlelit office.
“I’m proud of you Kaz. So proud, more than you could ever know. I’ll see you later my love,” you breathed, loud enough for him to hear.
Your heart hammered in your chest as you shut the door, as the pride, pain, and love overwhelmed your senses. A lone tear slipped as you descended the stairs to process the night’s event, which unbeknownst to you, mirrored the boy sat in his office.
Kaz also shed a single tear amongst the panic his body forced upon him, however instead of the pure pain, grief, and dread that usually fell, a strong sense of victory escaped with that tear too.

Hi! Can you do a Din x F!reader where when Din is visiting Greef Karga and telling him about how he wants to redeem himself, but then Karga asks him if that's really what he truly wants? Maybe the reader takes Grogu somewhere while they talk and he asks Din something like, "Have you ever considered not going back to Mandalore? You can be happy here with her." Or something along those lines? Thanks! You have a great talent! ♡
𝑊𝐻𝐼𝑇𝐸 𝐹𝐼𝐸𝐿𝐷𝑆
Thank you so much sweet anon 💕 This is such a lovely idea and I had such a great time writing it. I live for soft Din who just yearns for happiness but needs a little help realising that he is deserving of it. 💗
word count: 5.4k
pairing: Din Djarin x f!reader
note: Mutual pining. Love confessions. Found family. The helmet comes off. Din has his first kiss. The Razor Crest lives. No use of (y/n). This has not been beta read and English is not my native language.
Tumblr media
You are sitting in the passenger seat of the cockpit with Grogu, who is softly babbling, in your lap as he cradles his beloved little silver ball with both of his tiny hands. Din is sitting in the pilot chair next to you, getting the Razor Crest ready for landing. You can’t help but stare at him as he skillfully manoeuvres the ship. You have been travelling with the Mandalorian and his foundling for a little over a standard year now and what had started out as a small crush on Din has now bloomed into so much more, even though you had tried to fight it and protect your heart you have fallen utter and deeply in love with him.
The three of you are on your way to Nevarro to talk to Din’s employer Greef Karga. You have been with him to Nevarro a few times before and you are exited to be back, but you can’t help but worry that this might be your last time on the planet, at least while travelling with Din and little Grogu.
You have tried to fight your feelings for Din, but no matter how badly you tried there was nothing you could do to stop yourself from falling. You know that you are only setting yourself up for heartache, knowing that there is no way that the two of you ever could be together, even if he reciprocated your feelings which you don’t think he does. He is Mandalorian after all and you are not…  Even though he is now an apostate. But that is why he will be travelling to Mandalore, to proclaim his creed and seek redemption and you can’t help but have a feeling that that journey won’t involve you which hurts. You know that your stay on the Crest always has been temporary. Just a job, after all. Just a needed help looking after Grogu. Staying on the ship with the little youngling while Din is out hunting bounties, but you feel like Din soon will tell you that you no longer will be needed.
That you will be parted with Din is going to hurt, but losing Groguis going to be unbearable. You have ended up caring so much for the little green kid, loving him so much, you don't think you could love him more had he been your own child. It is terrifying, the thought that you one day will have to say goodbye to him. You try not to think too much about it and you shake your head as Din is landing on the barren ground that constitutes as the spaceport of Nevarro City.
You cradle Grogu in your arms as you descend down the ramp with Din, the warm glow of the late afternoon sun is reflecting off his beskar making him look even more impressive than usual. You can’t help but feel proud to be walking by his side as you step through the pillars of the tall arch that open Nevarro City up from the spaceport. You are met by Karga that are walking towards you, arms spread in a welcoming gesture and a big wide smile lighting up his face. You can’t help but giggle when you notice that he has two small droids in tow, holding the ends of his long robe so it doesn’t drag along the ground.
“Mando, my friend! I was beginning to fear you would never return.” Karga greets him before turning his attention to you, offering you a great big smile. “And I see your beautiful travel companion hasn’t left you yet.” He lets out a friendly laugh. “You haven’t got tired of that old bucket head yet my dear?” You let out a giggle, you have missed the older man’s friendly, teasing banter.
“Not yet.” You smile at him. “Besides, this little one makes me stick around.” You say, looking lovingly down at the little child in your arms.
Grogu is shrieking with happiness at the familiar face and Karga looks at him with an even wider grin on his face than before, if that is even possible. “And would you look at that, my favourite little green baby! How are you doing kid?”
“Grogu.” Din says in a flat but not unfriendly tone, looping his thumb in his belt.
“Come again?” Karga turns towards the Mandalorian.
“His name, It’s Grogu.” Din clarifies.
“Huh, if you say so.” Karga shrugs his shoulders before taking Din’s gloved hand in his, placing his other hand on the armour of Din’s upper arm in a welcoming gesture. “Now come, come! A great deal has happened here since your last visit.”
It is true that a lot of things have happened, the city is looking amazing, many of the buildings are new and shiny, more trees and greenery than ever before, even the people on the street look more vibrant and happy.
“Yes, a lot of things have changed here. It doesn’t even look like the same place.” Din lets out.
“Yes, yes! We have a construction boom going on in the city, it is all rather exciting. But now come, come! It has been a while and I’m sure we have plenty to discuss.” Karga smiles, clearly proud of the new state of the city. “The two of you are very welcome to join us, of course, but I will not take offence if you would prefer to take a look around instead, it will probably be more exciting for the little one.” Karga addresses you, gesturing to Grogu. “I will happily offer one of my droids to give a tour of the new city if you are interested or maybe show you to the healing baths, those Twi’leks know what they’re doing, very soothing.”
“Thank you but I think we will be alright. I think we will go to the bazaar, find something nice for this one.” You smile down at Grogu who is happily cooing at your words.
“Good choice, you have to spoil the little bogwing as much as possible, being spoiled is an important part of being a youngling. And make sure you go to the fruit market. The meiloorun melons are most delectable this time of year.” Karga states before turning to Din. “Well, shall we, Mando? I’m sure we have a lot to discuss.”
Din turns his head back at you, his visor looking straight at you and you know that his eyes under his helmet must be locked with yours, it is a thought that always sends a warm rush through you and makes your heart beat a little faster.
“I’ll find you later. You have your com on you, right? ” He asks you which makes you roll your eyes with a teasing smile on your lips even though you still feel your heart beat a little faster than normal by his gaze.
“Of course.” You say, picking up the little device from your pocket to show him. “But we will be fine. You worry too much.” You say as you put the comlink back in your pocket. “I’ll call you if a reptavian is out to eat us or if we are about to be abducted by pirates or, I don’t know, maybe a kowakian is stealing Grogu’s meiloorun.” You tease him, he is always being so overprotective.
“Ah, ah. You must remember, a man is always allowed to worry about the people he loves. ” Karga chuckles while giving Din a playful pat on the back. Your smile falls at this and you feel your face heat at his comment. Din clears his throat awkwardly. You know that Din cares for you, but in what capacity you’re not sure, he is always making sure that you are safe and comfortable. He, of course, loves Grogu dearly, but Karga’s innuendo about Din loving both of you has your heart beating even faster than before.
“Shall we.” Din comments quickly, clearly flustered by Karga’s words too.
“Sure.” Karga exclaims. “It was lovely to see you again, now go and enjoy the city. I think you will find the place quite pleasant, we have built a new school too, great for the little ones.” He tells you, gesturing at Grogu, like he is trying to sell the idea of settling down here before turning to leave with Din.
You watch the backs of the two men as they walk up the stairs before they disappear into Karga’s building. You shake your head slightly before looking down at Grogu. “Shall we?” You ask him, echoing Din’s words from before. The little kid gurgles happily up at you which makes you smile widely. Maker, you love his cute little face so much.
You walk down the bustling street to the bazaar. You have to admit that the changes to the city really are very impressive, you could actually imagine living in a city like this. You start your shopping, a ration run was long overdue anyway and besides the needed basics you find a lot of other things too. A new robe for Grogu, happy to find some small enough to fit him, Maker knows he needs more, you feel like you are constantly washing the few he has. You also find a few things for yourself and you are happy when you find a booth that is selling Din’s favourite brand of nutrition packs, and in his favourite flavour too, not that he has told you that they are his favourites, but it was easy to figure out as they always are the one he picks.
“So, is it melon time now?” You ask, looking down at Grogu after you have paid for the nutrition packs. Grogu is cooing happily as if he understands and you chuckle down at him making your way to one of the fruit stands.
Karga was right, the meilooruns look perfect, ripe and mouthwatering. You smile at the elderly Twi’lek behind one of the booths, placing Grogu down on the ground before you start picking out the tastiest looking fruits, making polite conversation with the fruit seller while still keeping an eye on little Grogu. You pay for the fruits and the Twi’lek behind the booth hands you the last one. You feel Grogu tuck at your pant leg as he looks up at the fruit in your hand, clearly very interested in the orange-red melon that is almost bigger than his head. You chuckle at him, bending down to let him hold it which makes him let out an excited shriek.
“Good job!” You coo at the youngling as he proudly holds the big fruit with both hands, waddling over to the basket that you have lowered for him, where he, with a little difficulty but complete determination, lifts the fruit up to join the rest.
“Aw, what a good boy, helping mama out.” The Twi’lek coos at Grogu.
Your heart clenches at the woman’s comment and you yearn by the idea of actually being the little green kid’s mother. You smile at the fruit seller and then down at Grogu
“Yeah, he is the best.” You sigh softly.
Grogu is looking up at you with those big bright eyes of his, softly babbling before reaching his tiny arms up towards you in a gesture to tell you he wants you to lift him up. You are happy to oblige, picking him up and nuzzling your nose against his little chubby cheek before leaving a soft kiss on the same spot.
“Well, sweetheart I think that was all.” You tell him with a smile. “Your dad is probably also finishing up with Karga about now.”
“Why don’t you take some of these too, on the house, for being such a sweet boy.” The Twi’lek says, putting a few pika fruits and some jogans down a brown paper bag.
“Oh, no, that’s too kind of you.” You try to politely decline the woman's sweet offer but she just shrugs you off.
“Now, none of that. We like giving gifts here on Nevarro.” She smiles at you as she shakes her head, making her lekku’s swing from side to side, before looking at Grogu. “Why don’t you give these to your father, little one? Proof that you were nice and helpful while out shopping with mom?” She smiles at Grogu who is cooing and making grabby hands at the bag and you can’t say no to him, so you let him take it and thanking the sweet Twi’lek before going out to see if Din is finished at Karga’s. You can’t help but feel at peace here, people have been so sweet and welcoming.
—
Karga is pouring himself a glass of spotchka, offering a glass to Din, just like he always does, which Din declines, just like always does. “Hm, so today isn’t the day I’m gonna see your face either.” The older man jokes, lifting his glass to take a sip of the strong beverage. Din only scoffs at the comment.
“I came to tell that I won’t be able to take any bounties for a while.”
“Well, I am happy to hear that, Mando. Finally ready to give up that tumultuous life of yours?” Karga says with a big smile on his face. Now this was not the reaction Din had expected, confused by the man’s words.
“I have shown my face. I have to go to Mandalore to seek redemption in the living waters.” Karga’s smile falls as Din tells him this.
“Oh, Mando. Now I had hoped that you had come to tell me that you were ready to come quieten down here in Nevarro City.”
“I have taken off my helmet, I need to go to Mandalore.” Din tries to explain, but Karga does not seem to see that as a problem, waving a hand in the air as if what Din is telling him isn’t an issue in the slightest, like Din hasn’t broken the most holy of creeds, cutting him off with an unconcern look on his face.
“Well, have you considered not going?” The other man simply states.
“I am an apostate now.” Din tries again but it still doesn’t seem like an issue to Karga.
“Isn’t that just all the more reason to stay here. You might be considered an apostate among your people now, but here you will be welcomed with open arms. You could hang up your blaster, settle down and give the kid some stability, maybe even add a new little one to the family, I’m sure that lady of yours would enjoy that.” The older man says with a wink followed by a deep belly laugh before continuing. “Now, I don’t know how ugly that mug of yours is under there.” He says gesturing at Din’s helmet. “But I know that ain’t gonna scare her away, even a qartuum could see that that girl is enamoured with you.”
Din feels his face heat up under the helmet at Karga’s words. “She isn’t my lady.” Din mutters, not able to suppress how deeply he wish that you actually were.
“Hmm.” Karga hums, not sounding convinced. “If you say so. But, Mando, my friend, I have known you for a long time, since you were a young man and I don’t think I have ever seen you as happy as you are now, with her and the kid. I know you keep insisting that there is nothing going on between you and her, and that might be the truth, but you can’t convince me that you don’t want there to be.”
Din wants to protest, to tell the man that his statement is wrong, but he knows that it would fall for deaf ears, and he would give himself up anyway, Din has also always been a terrible liar. Of course he want’s something between you. His employer has seen right through him, hit the head right on the nail. Din has over the last few months started to come to terms with the fact that he has fallen completely and utterly in love with you. It is scary, completely unknown territory and Din doesn’t now what to do with these feelings he has for you, sure that you don’t feel the same - but, as little as he likes to admit it, a little hope has bloomed in his chest by Karga’s words. ‘Even a qartuum could see that that girl is enamoured with you.’ could that really be true?
Could you really feel the same for him as he feel for you? No, of course not, Karga is just teasing like he always does, right?
“I can’t hang up my blaster. It’s not that simple.” He sighs, shaking his helmeted head.
“But it’s not that complicated either.” Karga says, taking another sip of his spotchka before continuing. “You deserve some happiness, Mando and  I think she can give you that. This is just an old man’s advice and you can do with it as you will, but I hope you believe me when I say that all I want is to see you happy.” He finishes this drink, setting the now emty glass down on the table before pulling out something from the pocket of his extravagant outfit.
“Now go back to that girl and that Grogu of yours and treat them to a nice dinner, I know how much that kid loves to eat.” He chuckles. “I have a nice prime tract set up, right over by the hot springs. You can spend the night there, I’m sure she will appreciate having somewhere nicer to sleep than that old ship of yours.” Karga says with a smile as he slides enough credits for a nice dinner and then some over the table along with a keychip and a little piece of paper with an address scribbled down. “Think about what I’ve said okay? It’s a nice place and it can be yours if you want it.” He adds, gesturing to the key that Din is now clutching in his gloved hand.
Din simply nods at the man and mumbles a quick ‘thanks’ before leaving. Karga’s words ringing in his head as he makes it down the busy street to the bazaar to find you and Grogu.
—
The house Karga has lent you is beautiful, which makes perfect sense, the High Magistrate has always struck you as the type of person with an eye for finer things, the makeover the city has gotten is proof of this. You had taken a little tour of the house, not able to stop yourself from fantasising about what it would be like to live in a place like this. It’s nice to pretend even if it’s just for a single night or two, you hope you get a chance to try out the soothing hot spring in the backyard before you have to leave again. It will probably be soon, you know how badly Din itches to travel to Mandalore to redeem himself. The thought making a tight knot form in your stomach, you and Din havent really talked much about it or talked about what was going to happen with you. You don’t even know if you would be allowed to come with him as a non-Mandalorian. Maybe the time you have been dreading so badly finally has come, Din telling you that he no longer needs your services and that he will travel to Mandalore with Grogu and reclaim his creed without you. It makes your little tour of the house feel so much more bitter sweet, the fantasy of the three of you living in a place like this seem stupid and silly.
You can’t help yourself from dragging your feet towards the open door of the room in which Din is currently putting Grogu to bed, watching them from the doorway. You are in complete awe by the sight of Din sweetly tucking Grogu in for the night, placing the warm blanket over the little kid who is placed on the soft bed. The contrast of the two is always a sight. The big brute bounty hunter, clad from head to toe in shiny, intimidating beskar, and the tiny little kid with giant shiny eyes and wobbling ears.
Even though you have known for a while that you love and care deeply for both Din and little Grogu, now as you watch them, you know that the love you have for the both of them is deeper than anything you have ever felt before. You love the little green kid as if he was your own and you have fallen deeply in love with his armour wearing dad.
Your heart yearns so bad by the sight of them, the love Din has for his little foundling is so bewitching and you find yourself stepping into the room, softly tip-toeing over to the bed, feeling yourself being pulled in like a magnet. Din looks up at you when you reach the bed. His helmet conceals his emotions but he doesn’t seem to mind that you have come over to them. Grogu has already snoozed off, Din pats the empty space of the bed next to him, encouraging you to take a seat which you do. The two of you sit there in silence for a moment looking at Grogu as he sweetly sleeps. You wonder how many more of these small moments you have left with them. You suddenly feel like you might start crying. You sigh as you stand up, stepping over to plant a soft kiss on Grogu’s forehead before turning your gaze to Din, giving the man a weak smile as he rises from the bed too. The two of you quietly stepping out of the room and towards the living area.
You sit down at the soft sofa, Din sitting down in one of the comfortable arm chairs. A silence falling over you as you both seem to be occupied with your own thoughts.
After Din had found you and Grogu at the bazaar he had taken you out to one of the nicer places to eat in the city. Fancy, but not too fancy to bring a kid. Din had, of course, not been eating, but you had made sure to get some food back with you to the house that he ate while you were out in the backyard playing with Grogu, giving him privacy to take off his helmet. He might have taken off his helmet that time for Grogu, and now is an apostate for it, but he still follows the creed.
It had been a good evening, one you wished you would have many more of, but that just seems like wishful thinking, but Din had been very quiet. Not that he has ever been a huge chatterbox or anything, but he had been quiet even for his standards. You can’t help but wonder if something is wrong, now that you also sit in silence here.
“Din?”
“Hmm?”
“You are being awfully quiet tonight, anything on your mind?” You ask in a low voice, close to a whisper, feeling a little unsure if you should even ask him this.
“Oh, Karga just said some things to me. I don’t know, I guess it just made me get stuck in my own thoughts, I’m sorry about that.” He says with a slight shake of his helmet.
You open your mouth to answer but he continues before you get to say anything.
“Do… Do you like it here?” His voice is softer than normal and slightly shaky.
“Here on Nevarro?” You ask a little confused, mirroring his soft tone.
“Yeah, here on Nevarro… Wo-would this be the kind of place you could see yourself live in?”
“If I was living in a house like this? Absolutely!” You grin at him, but Din doesn’t seem to be in on the joke, his shoulders tense as he fidgets with the leather of his gloves.
“Well, Karga he… he offered it to me, the house here... Well, to us. To uhm, to stay.” He adds.
Us… Could he mean? Your stomach does a flip until you realise what he means by ‘us’. Him and Grogu, of course, the clan of two. You look over at him, offering him a weak smile as you imagine it for a second, Din and Grogu living in a place like this, the warm blanket of domesticity covering them.
“That sounds nice.” You say, giving him a little smile. It really would be nice for them to have a quiet life, but you know that it is never going to happen. That isn’t the life of a Mandalorian.
“Yo-you really think so?” He sounds startled and you can’t help but giggle softly at him.
“Well, yeah, of course. I can imagine you preparing lunches for Grogu in the morning, lots of meriloons for snacks, of course, and then taking him to school.” You say with a playful smile on your lips, remembering Karga’s comment about the new school they had built. “And, all the other kids thinking Grogu has the coolest dad ever with all that beskar.” You laugh softly at your little fantasy.
“So I would be a cool dad, huh?” He finally chuckles along with you.
“Oh, yeah. The coolest.” You nod. “How many other parents wield the dark sabre?” You snicker.
“No one, I guess.” He chuckles again and, kriff, how you love the sound of it.
“Oh, and you would bake for all of the bake sales, obviously!”
“Pff, of course, I would!” He plays along. “I would bake all the pika cakes needed. Hell, the little one gets them for free.” He says, nodding his head in the direction of the kitchen where the bag with the fruits Grogu was gifted at the market lies. “But you would have to help me taste test them, make sure that we come with the best cakes. Can’t lose my cool dad status because I’m being outshined by another parent with better baking skills.”
Wait is he saying that you would be there too, in this hypothetical scenario?!
“Would I?” Your tone has lost all the playfulness from before, now low and unsure but also hopeful.
He stiffens, shoulders getting tense again. “Wouldn’t you?” His voice is now soft and a little shaky through the modulator.
You can’t believe the direction the conversation has taken. “I guess I would if you want me to.” You confess.
“I do. I really want you to.” He whispers your name. The visor of his helmet trained on you and you know that he is looking directly into your eyes.  “I would want that. I never thought I could have that, but with you… With you and Grogu, that is all I want.”
“Din I…” You feel how warm tears are slowly falling down your cheeks now. “I want that too. I want you.” You get up from the sofa and he rises from his chair, the two of you slowly approaching each other until you stand with only a few inches between you.
“I don’t want to go to Mandalore, not anymore.” He whispers. “I don’t…” He takes a shaky breath, like he is getting ready to tell an earth-shattering secret. “I don’t mind being an apostate.”
“Din are you sure you don’t want to go..?” You can’t believe his words. You are happy, of course you are, but this is his creed, his life, his whole identity. You need him to be sure.
He doesn’t answer you, just standing still in front of you, like a statue. You start to think that he might have regretted telling you this, that he is realising that he does want to go to Mandalore and that he just got caught in the moment for a second, but then he moves. It is like everything is going in slow motion, it takes you a second to realise what he is doing as he brings his hands up to the side of his helmet, a loud hiss sounding through the room before he removes the beskar from his head.
A little gasp escapes your mouth as you take in the sight of his unhelmed face. You are met by a pair of the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen, tender and bright, like the twin suns on the planet you grew up on. His hair, that is slightly mussed from the helmet, is a deep brown which matches the colour of his eyes. Dark stubbles are adorning his jaw and a trimmed moustache is framing his upper lip and you notice how soft, how kissable they look. There is no doubt in your heart as you stare into the his eyes, this is the man you love, reaching your hand out to softly cup his cheek, making sure to not make contact with his skin until he lean against your hand himself, not wanting to overwhelm him if he isn’t ready for your touch yet, but he does lean in, letting out a little gasp as your palm gently cups his cheek.
“Hi.” You whisper, finally breaking the silence.
“Hi.” He echoes as your palm rests against his bare skin, fingers slowly brushing over the stubbles of his cheek. A faint, sheepish smile on his lips and a slightly unsure look in his eyes, clearly not used to being looked at and not knowing how to react to your gaze without his helmet. He has nothing to be shy about though. He is so gorgeous and you are gonna let him now.
“Din, you are beautiful.”
He doesn’t answer, still taken in the feeling of being touched without the armour. You let him take all the time that he needs and a little while goes by before he finally breaks the silence.
“I kind of want to kiss you, cyar’ika.” He confesses, voice barely more than a whisper.
“You can.” You tell him your voice is soft, a mellow smile on your lips as you stare into the deep umber of his eyes. He nods slightly, giving himself a moment to let the idea of finally being able to kiss you sink in, you don’t rush him, letting him do it in his own tempo.
“I-I’ve never kissed anyone before.” The words are coming out soft and shaky, almost apologetic, as he confesses this to you. It doesn’t surprise you, it must be incredibly nerve wracking for him, after so many years behind the helmet, standing bare and exposed in front of another human being. It makes sense that he never has kissed anyone before considering the creed he has lived by. You can’t help but feel a little giddy by the idea of being the one to give him his first kiss, a soft and loving gift he can carry with him forever.
“Din, that’s okay.” You reassure him before adding with a slightly cheeky grin. “It’s not like I mind teaching you.” This makes him smile too, letting out a low sound, the ghost of a laugh, you have heard that sound before but never without the modulator of his helmet and you feel your heart flutter warmly.
“I’m glad you don’t.” He whispers gratefully as he begins to lean in closer until your lips meet in a soft, sweet kiss. His hands moves up to cradle your face, gently cupping your cheeks with his broad hands. You hum content into the kiss, your lips moving slowly in sync, a part of you wants to deepen the kiss letting your tongue explore his mouth but you hold yourself back, this will hopefully be the first kiss of many and you want this one to be sweet and soft and not overwhelm him.
You finally have to pull away to catch your breath, finding those beautiful eyes of his that you have already fallen completely for.
“I love you.” You whisper into the quietness and he smiles at you, the prettiest smile in the galaxy, before leaning in to capture your lips in another kiss.
“I love you too.” He mutters against your lips. “I have for a while.”
You let out a choked gasp, not believing that this is really happening, that Din really loves you too.
“I think I’m ready for something new.” He tells you softly, placing a sweet kiss on the top of your head before resting his forehead against yours. “A new beginning right here with you.”
“That sounds good.” You smile. “But I think you might have to kiss me again, as your official taste tester I need another sample.”
He lets out a low laugh before kissing you again. A kiss that tastes like the beginning of something beautiful.

Could you do relationship headcanons for our big deal boys Jerry and Brad (and Jason and Lineman too if you want) 👉👈 Or maybe them eating dinner with reader for the first time in a while and realizing how much they miss reader?
Hi Anon! Thanks for requesting :) I can't believe I haven't done more boyfriend/relationship hc?! This has been sitting in my drafts forever and soooorta is what you asked for.
Lookism guys as YOUR boyfriend hc
Uhhh almost everyone here (Brad, Jason, Lineman, Jerry, Jake, Sinu, Daniel, Jay, Vasco, Jace, Zack, Vin, Goo, Johan, Eli, Warren, DG, Samuel, Xiaolong, Ryuhei, Eugene, Jihan, Jibeom, Hudson + crumb for Hangyul, Taejin)
Brad Lee
Happy go lucky most of the time. Brad will make you smile and laugh, your best friend as well as your boyfriend. Don't be fooled, just because he can be silly doesn't mean he doesn't take this relationship seriously. Sincere and committed, will do what he needs to make you and him work. A girlfriend privilege, or chore if you're being honest, is constantly shaving his head. If he pisses you off? Shave a stripe down the middle and hide the razor.
Jason Yoon
Self professed as not that great with words, and can be a little standoffish but worships the ground you walk on. Loyal to a fault, and waits on you hand and foot. He's not the most physically affectionate but anticipates your every need, doing things for you before you even realise you wanted them. Self-sacrificing with Big Deal and as your boyfriend. Make sure his needs are taken care of, he deserves it!
Lineman
Listen, this guy bullshits a lot. He's full of bravado and confidence but he is surprisingly earnest when it comes to you. Everything may be exaggerated and said flippantly, but Lineman does think you're the most beautiful, the smartest, the absolute best. No competition. Completely fearless with anything you throw at him. Whether that's something adventurous in the bedroom or a life plan 10 years in the future.
Jerry Kwon
If he is Jake's sword, then he is your shield. Most of the time he barely needs to do anything, just being with him makes sure thugs and troublemakers will stay away. Nevertheless, protects you from danger and cuddling with Jerry will melt all your stress away. Loves you as much as he respects Jake. Which is a whole frickin' lot. Probably more than you would ever know. A big teddy bear, and can be shy - needing you to make the first moves or read his moods.
Jake Kim
You've done it. You've reached the peak. Maximum good times, minimum mental breakdowns. He is stable, a great caregiver and maybe the funniest person you will ever meet, or at least he likes to think so. Does tend to prioritise Big Deal over your relationship and being his girlfriend. You need to be very understanding. Shame he spends a lot of time away from you dealing with the crew but he more than makes up for it with kisses and cuddles and attention (where he can spare it).
Sinu Han
Who do you think taught Jake how to respect women? Gapryong? Nah. It's this girlboss. Didn't used to have much time nor money as Big Deal boss. Now at least he has lots of time and will make sure you are top prority. Literally got yourself a whole househusband. He has nothing better to do than look after you. When you're apart, loves making and sending little videos of himself to you to cheer you up. And it's not hard once you see his beaming bright smile.
Daniel Park
Very sweet, Zack might have stole his first kiss but he wants you to be the first for everything else! His obliviousness to all the girls hitting on him would piss you off though. Once you've spoken to him and he realises, he'll apologise profusely and makes sure it's very clear that he's taken. "Yes, I've got a girlfriend. Yes, I'm very happy. Please I'm not interested!" Very easy for you to make him blush. He might have heard a lot of flattery, but just tell him how cute he looks today and he will flush bright red.
Jay Hong
Are you ready to be spoiled? Have all your whims fulfilled? This man will literally go to the moon and back for you, and he could pay for it to. Loves spoiling you, shopping with you is one of his favourite pastimes but enjoys spending time with you even if it's chilling with the pups. Writes you little messages and notes for you to find throughout the day. Very sentimental and keeps a memento of pretty much everything. Apart from having cash for days, other major girlfriend privileges include seeing his eyes and riding around on his motorbike. Which is pretty sexy, not gonna lie.
Vasco Tabasco
This cinnamon roll!! What else is there to say about him! He's innocent and naive and doesn't really know how to be the best boyfriend but he's so eager to learn and to make you happy. Make a big deal out of every milestone and anniversary. Looks forward to big occasions like meeting the parents until the actual day comes and he almost passes out from nervousness. Being with the head of Burn Knuckles means you've automatically adopted the rest of the gang too. Watch out for your sanity.
Jace Park
Goes a bit too hard on the romance front, but unfortunately picked most of it up from kdrama or romance novels. Imagine his surprise when after your first fight you actually did want space and wasn't pleased when he turned up on your doorstep. Kind hearted and good intentioned. He's dotes on you and a great listener. Insufferable to the rest of Burn Knuckles as he won't shut up about you. Once he's with you, he is WITH you. He may be 'married to Burn Knuckles', but in a relationship, you two are as good as married. And yes, he is the best househusband. Obviously.
Zack Lee
BIG softie. Clingy, a little obsessive but He. Loves. You. We've seen how he is with Mira. Being in a reciprocal relationship with someone would turn that up to ELEVEN. He will always always try his best, and gets a little insecure and sad if he lets you down but to you it doesn't matter. Seeing his effort is enough and you make sure to let him know. Will walk to the ends of the earth for you, you barely even have to ask. Also will deny he's a simp to everyone as they look on at him incredulously. Seriously? It's the most obvious frigging thing!
Vin Jin
Oh my god this guy. He will play his music for you at ANY opportunity. It's a good job you love him, otherwise you would need to jam some chopsticks in your ears. You can't help but be charmed though seeing him doing what he loves, so you take up the role as his number 1 fan. Plays it cool but he is very clingy. Probably text you with 'wyd' and if you don't respond in the next 10 mins, expect a barrage of messages. And if you're busy and haven't seen him for a day or 2? He's on your doorstep: "Here I got you a gift. Me."
Gun Park
He's a surprisingly good partner. He doesn't like wasting time and least of all his own so he knows already you're a good fit with him. The fact that he agreed to be your partner means that he already holds you in exceptionally high regard and cares about you a great deal. Still a walking red flag though. Especially cold and callous when he's had a bad day or you ask him about something he doesn't want to answer. You can go hours or even days not talking after your fights until he finally asks if you can hear him out. He's not stupid. He knows the way he reacts isn't how you should treat a partner and promises to keep working on it
Goo Kim
A rollercoaster ride of a boyfriend. In an established relationship, he can be exceptionally clingy. You better be patient and on the same wavelength as him or you're going to have a bad time. Your nights together can flit from watching anime to light arson in the blink of an eye. At least you can't say he's boring. Soft in his own way for you, and spoils you with your demands and requests, and his money! Really does let you get away with a little too much.
Johan Seong
He was shocked when he realised he cared more about you than Eden and Miro. You were too, you know what they mean to him... And now what you mean to him too. A little feral and not the best at expressing himself but if you have the patience to support him then he'll have the patience to try. Do not offer to share food with this man. Not a bite, no snacks, nothing. He would take advantage. The definition of give him an inch and he'll take a mile. Leave your plate unattended, and the food will be gone the moment you're back. Eden and Miro will get the blame.
Eli Jang
Hope you're ready for 2 cuties in your life because Eli and Yenna are a package deal. Eli never thought he would get the fairytale happy family but with you it's actually happening. He loves planning family dates and seeing you and Yenna together. He's already carved out a future for you and him otherwise he wouldn't encourage you and Yenna to bond.
Warren Chae
Absolutely adores telling you he loves you. With you the words flow, and so do the compliments. In his quieter moments, you catch him staring at you a lot until hegrabs your hand and gives you three squeezes instead. I. Love. You. Privately, renames himself from 'Gangdong's Mighty Warren Chae' to 'Y/N's Mighty Warren Chae'. Super silly, but it makes you giggle everytime. He means it though. Will look after you any way he can.
DG
Keeps you out of the spotlight. Please don't be insecure, it's not that he doesn't want to be seen with you - he's just protecting you from public scrutiny and his horde of fans. Generally cool and aloof but with you he can be surprisingly soft and romantic. Truly a k-pop idol capturing the heart of millions. You will become his biggest stan, and he would find that equal parts amusing and endearing. As long you are kept a secret, he will tell the media he has a special someone, someone that really knows him. Makes you and the general public melt everytime he is heard talking about you.
Samuel Seo
Aw Sammy. He just wants some praise and love and you readily offer it to him. Puts up a lot of walls at first before seeing that you don't care who he is or where he's from and love him for him. Definitely one to wait for you to say I love you and fall first before he could reciprocate. He needs to make sure this is real and you are real. Sometimes though, the moment just feels too right for him to keep his feelings to himself... Spends obscene amounts on you to try and impress you. It doesn't. Not really. Ok maybe a little bit.
Xiaolong
One to go to extremes to please the one he loves. Old example: Vivi. Please see updated example: You. There is nothing he will not do for you. To the point that it terrifies you a bit and you need to calm him down. "No, if you don't actually want to go on an ice cream run at 3am that's completely fine! I was only joking about punching my boss, please don't do it!!" Hope you're ready for an unconventional sex life because this man will do what he can to satisfy you, penislessly
Ryuhei Kuroda
Theres a long list of simps in Lookism and he's close to the top of the list. Hes an avid texter but since he likes to follow you everywhere, you wouldn't know. Despite how much of a shit he can be, genuinely respects you and thinks the world of you. Will happily and without hesitation sock anyone that says a bad word about you. Unlike Xiaolong, all in working order downstairs since you met. You have no issues getting him to stand to attention. Have fun!
Eugene
A bit of an absentee boyfriend. He has a lot on his plate. He never regret his position or what he's achieved until you started dating, and now he wishes you could spend more time together. When he's with you though, he's WITH you. You have his full attention. He even turns his phone off. His assistants know that they can't reach him when he's with you. Building burning down? Nope. Don't care.
Jihan Kwak
You thought he was a troublemaker at first. And you would be right. He can run rings around you, teasing and a little mean, the cause of many headaches. All the words are meant with love though. Just look at the way he looks at you as he calls you an idiot. This guy is impossibly soft for you. Make sure you don't let him get away with too much though. As the youngest and spoilt, he can be bratty and a little inconsiderate. He's no fool. Tell him and he will adjust his behaviour.
Jibeom Kwak
There's something so fun about stealing the clothes from your teddy-bear boyfriend. So what if his taste is terrible and ugly as hell. Seeing you in his t-shirt or shorts or even boxers will absolutely break his brain. A little dense, but very trusting - bit like our other cinnamonroll, Vasco. Always well-intentioned, but you may need to be explicit with him. Don't worry, he's a quick learner. Loves you an awful lot and has no problem telling the whole world, even if that means teasing from his brothers.
Hudson Ahn
There's two very people that are at the tippity top of Hudson's list. Taesoo, and you. Your boyfriend is your sun. Quiet and a little stoic, watching you with an intensity and a little smile on his face that takes your breath away. Especially when he's usually cold and reserved with most people, the fact that you can make him look like that just being in your presence? The BEST. Blessed with one of the better asses in Lookism that even Heat Daniel couldn't resist. Always rolls his eyes whenever you grope him, you not being able to resist a quick squeeze even as you walk by, but he could never tell you no.
Hangyul Baek (here's a crumb)
Looks at you a lot with a smile on his face. Which is sweet you suppose, if he wasn't a plastic surgeon and scrutinishing faces and bodies all day. And then he calls you beautiful. A true beauty. And you preen, happy with the compliment.. until. Hold on. What exactly does he mean?!
Taejin Cheon (here's a crumb)
Wew, this guy is flashy. Which is great if that's your thing. Will likely get you kitted out in all sorts of designer brands, even more so than Samuel Seo. Despite not shown as having any tattoos, has the vibe that he would get your name tattooed on his neck. If you break up? Will just get a line put through it lol.

Twisted Wonderland iceberg
Tumblr media
Explanations ahead (slight spoiler warning)
Tier 1:
everything is self-explanatory, I think
Tier 2:
Haruhi = the protagonist of Ouran High School Host Club. She's a girl who dresses up as a boy (correct me if I'm wrong) and many players who have a female MC consider theirs to be like Haruhi. [EDIT: Thanks for the anon pointing out that I misspelled the name!]
Tier 3:
self-explanatory
Tier 4:
A fair amount of people headcanon Vil as a trans woman because he presents androgynously/feminine and doesn't care about gender roles. This has also caused discussion in the fandom because breaking gender roles ≠ trans.
Tier 5:
People sometimes wish TWST was more like a dating sim and had character/dorm routes.
Some people headcanon that Silver is based on Prince Philip (from Sleeping Beauty) and/or is a prince himself. I haven't played all of book 7 yet (only the parts out in the ENG server) so idk if the theory has been proven right.
Lilia is old and hints at dying soon.
Hot NPCs, such as Deuce's mom and Sebek's grandpa.
Ace and Deuce have expressed interest in Yuu at various points in the game.
Genshin VAs: Leona/Alhaitham, Silver/Kazuha, Idia/Razor are the ones I can think of
Tier 6:
A beastman (I think it was Jack) has stated that he has problems talking to animals, and Ruggie's talent at it is considered something special.
The tweels are considered intersex by some due to eel anatomy (I'm no eel expert).
Kalim is considered the real villain by some due to never really bothering to help Jamil.
Epel's backstory/attitude has many elements that a fair amount of trans men relate to.
There are theories that Lilia and Sebek are twisted from Peter Pan characters. I'm unsure about Silver, but I think I've read something about him being from another movie, too!
Tier 7:
Some people headcanon that Ace has experienced domestic abuse.
There's a theory that Ace will betray Yuu.
Cater has two sisters who boss him around, which is a resemblance to Cinderella.
Malleus might have two pps because well... dragon.
Epel and Deuce had a whole ass beach date. Deuce constantly cares for him and broke the school rules in order to make Epel feel better. Their scenes together (the settings) looked straight out of a shoujo manga. If Epel were a girl, this ship would be considered canon by most.
I'm not sure EXACTLY which languages Jade's VA speaks, but I do remember that he knows German.
In one of his Halloween vignettes, Ruggie — as opposed to Lilia — has indirectly expressed that he has no interest in romance/relationships.
Tier 8:
UH.

MASKED INTRUDER PT 3 I BEGGGGG, ugh, clingy inexperienced yandere + language barrier + overeager and aggressive + needy needy needy, He is perfect! Honestly i had a spiral and came straight here to read my comfort fics and i forgot how much i loved that one 🥺 leooooo
A/N: Still not sure what I should do about Leo's origins; I've had some thoughts but nothing really planned out. Anyway thank you lots anon!
Here's Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 Word count: 2400
TW: Possessiveness, jealousy, threats of murder, razor blades, average creepy dude living in your walls behavior
Synopsis: An unexpected guest comes over, causing chaos to ensue.
Tumblr media
The sensation of soap under your fingernails and warm water running down your forearms was one of comfort that you openly welcomed. You couldn't remember the last time you took a bath, and you could hardly count this bathing of your 'roommate' as a bath of your own.
But with your shirt soaked and your forehead damp, you finally had what could be mildly considered a clean version of Leo.
He begrudgingly sat on the cool tile floor, allowing you to ruffle his hair with a bath towel (which was really a poor attempt to manage the mess of loose, lengthy curls on his scalp.) He needed a haircut for sure, but you couldn't muster up the courage to put the scissors to his head.
Getting him out of the house to an haircut appointment would never happen. To say he was agoraphobic was a complete understatement-- he abhorred the outside world. You sometimes think about what would've happened If you hadn't taken pity on him, allowing him to continue to find refuge in your tiny home. Or, was it perhaps he was allowing you? Until, he found that you wouldn't suffice as a worthy roomate any longer, disposing of you like he could've done to whoever originally owned this home. The mystery surrounding his origin that he seemed to completely ignore answering on still made you… cautious.
He still felt like an extension of the house; the smell of its creaky, rotting walls, still always clinging to him-- even now, after you scrubbed him down from head to toe twice.
You grunted as you roughly tugged his head back and forth to rub the remaining water away. Unfortunately, that left you with a frizzy Leo with more hair spun out of control than you knew what to do with.
He blindly searched for the towel behind him without turning his head, yanking it away when he felt it in his fingers.
"Do it myself…" he mumbled croakily, like a rusted music box.
"Alright." You said, slightly offended. You held your hands in front of you dramatically, watching Leo wrap himself with the towel.
He looked so frail like this, on the bathroom floor with his knees pulled up to his chest. His scrawny frame hardly gave him any weight either, even if he was above six foot. You wondered if he really could hurt you, if-- he ever had the urge, to stab you with the rusty razor blade you watched him grip after he came out of the walls once company left.
How long would it be? Until he snapped,  until one argument was just too much, and you were no longer his favorite person in the world. Tonight was one of those nights, where you imagined yourself bleeding out on the floor, Leo standing above you with that blade, or perhaps a knife from the kitchen-- the one you noticed had gone missing a few days prior.
Your fear wasn't out of place despite how many times you tried to rationalize how stupid it was.
Several hours earlier, before Leo was as clean as he was now, you had a guest over.
It was an old university friend, a guy you met in your first year during some odd end prerequisite or math class-- You couldn't remember. But it didn't matter, at least not to Leo.
The moment the "intruder" sat down, you heard Leo's presence shift behind him. You could see his black eyes peering in and out of the holes in the dining room, sounds of his sporadic shuffling echoing throughout the house. You cringed everytime your friend looked up and around himself in confusion, curious of the noise.
"It's just rats," you cover, kicking the wall behind you with a force that should've knocked down the drywall. The sound of Leo letting out a thump of retaliation nearly made your smile crack.
You had rescued your university pal several times over the course of that night, finding the dead bugs in his drink before he could've noticed, and shutting Leo back into his hiding spots anytime you saw his hand or leg peek through, when he occasionally got the courage to try and dispose of the 'threat.'
It wasn't until your guest had asked to use the bathroom however, that Leo managed to gain a win. Cursing and yelling from the locked door made you panic, the few minutes of silence in the living room having seemingly tricked you of peace. You should’ve known that silence never meant a good thing.
Sprinting to the bathroom, you got there in time to find your old friend covered head to do in dust and dirt, the bathroom vent still emitting a cloud of grey. Dust fell from the vent, spraying with the blow of the air conditioning.
"Stop!" You screamed, kicking the back of the bathroom wall multiple times in retaliation. The dust immediately lessened, flecks still falling into your hair. You grunted and cursed, seeing the disaster your bathroom had become and the filth your friend was left in.
It was safe to say you escorted him quickly out thereafter, blaming the “malfunction” on your worse for wear vent ducts. His confused expression lingered as you walked him out the door. Your horrible cover ups had you questioning whether or not he was convinced but thankfully there seemed to be some sort of unspoken understanding-- maybe he knew you had to be going through something from how odd your behavior was all night-- or maybe it was just misplaced pity.
Either way, you were relieved to watch him exit the door with a washcloth you knew youd never get back, telling him to be safe on his way home with a wry smile.
Shutting that door was the biggest relief ever. The last person you'd want to know about your odd roomate situation was one of the few people in the world who had preconceived standards of you.
You had never worried about Leo when you had groups of friends over; he never dared to leave from his hiding spot when more than one foreign person entered the house. But this time, it had been a single unknown entity, and a male one at that. You felt the realization hit you directly in the gut as your back laid against that cool wooden door, the sounds of Leo leaving one of his more trickier, less clean hiding spots echoing in the house.
"Leo?" You called out, a slight inflection of annoyance in your voice.
You watched him crawl out of the large vent in your hallway, the metal grate coming off as two dirty hands forced it to the floor. Leo shimmied his way out of the tiny crawlspace, clouds of dirt coming with him as his legs finally came free.
Scrambling up, the male blew dust out of his mouth, wobbly getting to his feet. With a sly glare and a satisfied expression, Leo looked towards to you silently; smugly.
Pinching his ear and dragging him to the bathtub had been your first approach at reprimanding him; but it had done nothing to deter him. Leos silentness and resentful, pouting face left you to scold a brick wall, his rigidness extending to his body's heavy limbs and sluggish pace.
Even now while slowly rubbing the towel back and forth on his scalp, his face turned away defiantly.
A quiet moment passed as you watched him scrub himself dry.
"I just… I don't understand why you have to act this way."
Leo stopped. His head had been hanging low, thin wrists resting on his knees as water droplets rolled down the ends of his hair. His hand-me-down stretched pajamas covered his chest and thighs. You never thought an old pair of basketball shorts and a faded grey shirt would look so good on him, but you couldn't help to linger on his fingers and the curve of his neck muscles.
Without warning Leo stood up, pushing off the ground with one hand as he held the towel loosely in the other.
"What're you doing?" You question.
He wouldn't face you; his mask prosthetic was left on the edge of the tub, and without it-- well, it was impossible to make eye contact with him.
Leo reached for the light witch next to the shut bathroom door, flipping it without a word.
As soon as you saw him pull the light switch the color drained from your face.
You didn't speak, waiting in the dark to see what Leo's next move would be. Maybe he hid that Razor blade somewhere in his clothes, and was aiming it at you right this second.
"If you're gonna--"
"Shh." A voice hushed.
The warmth of flesh was pressed against your lips. It was a finger; hot breath fanned above you,  the finger on your lips turning to a hand that cupped your cheek. Your face was held so securely, being tipped upwards as he stood leering above you. The bathroom was quiet save for the dripping of the bath pipe, and Leo's heavy breathing.
Leo reached for you, awkwardly climbing atop your lap. He stumbled at first, but the way he curled his arms around your back, you felt like you couldn't let him go.
His nose nestled into the crook of your neck, crumpling into you like an animal looking for warmth.
"I don't share…Don't like it.." he mumbled.
"What?"
"Things, my things.." He started, the sounds of his labored breaths hitting your ear. "Don't like it when… strangers touch… my things."
"Wai--Leo!"
You couldn't help but search for his eyes in the dark, doing a happy little wiggle with him in your arms.
"Your voice has improved so much!" You beamed. He hadn’t spoken since the incident, and before that-- well, it took a lot to get him where he was.
“See, I knew pushing you would pay off.” You beamed, gloating in the feeling of success after remembering all the painful vocabulary lessons and hours of his stubborn behavior when you refused to answer his nonverbal pleads.
Leo’s quietness as you pinched his ear beneath his fluff of loose curls gave you time to snap back to reality-- remembering the words he just spoke. Leo basked in the praise, gripping onto your damp shirt as he ignored your change in expression.
The obvious possessiveness made you nearly cringe; this is exactly what you were trying to avoid.
“But Leo, I’m not just yours- I’m everybody’s. There are other people my time has to be shared with--”
You were cut off with the flick of an all too familiar razor blade, twirling in Leos fingers.
“Then….I’ll kill them.”
“....Kill?”
Leo leaned up, bringing his face closer to yours than he’d ever done before.
“I… wanna kill. Him. Kill….all of them..” His eyes were wide in the dark, and you could see the faint outline of the scars running down his face. You stared hard into his eyes, witnessing the fear and paranoia in them. “They’ll take.. You away. He will.” His throat was getting raspier, more raw.
“Leo, you know you can’t say things like that..” You softened. He sounded so small, you could hardly believe his words. But in the back of your mind, alarm bells and bright red warning signs were going off.
You reached for his face, hoping to hold it in your hands, feel the warmth of his skin. But Leo stopped you, holding your wrists. He rejected you from touching his face, again; had things truly changed? Had you made any progress with him?
And like clockwork, Leo reached for his mask, by the bathtub, sitting comfortably on your lap as he faced you.
He adjusted the prosthetic on his face, resting it snugly as the back clipped.
“You really wanna stop me from kissing you that badly?” You joked.
But then the mask was lifted, just slightly, as Leos lips came closer for yours. Now that you brought the idea up, he wouldn’t let it go.
“Kiss..” He mumbled, trying to reach for your face.
“Ah ah,” You waved a finger at him. “Don’t think I’m going soft after what you just said.” Leo let you push your two fingers against his lips, puckering them. “We’ve talked about this; what did I say?”
“Killing is….it is,”
“It’s wrong, Leo.”
“Its.. wrong.” He whined, bringing your other hand to his chest. He didn’t want it to be wrong, he wanted you to let him run wild and do what he knew he needed to do--”
“Promise me, Leo.” You pulled your hand slightly away. “Promise me you won’t.. Hurt anyone. Okay?”
He went quiet, letting a small grunt out as you kept pulling away the longer he stayed quiet.
“Say it.”
“Fine… okay.” He croaked.
You went limp and let him hold you close to him, his face leaning close as he looked for your approval.
“Kiss..?” He mumbled again, following where your head turned to catch your lips.
“Only because you’re finally being good..” You let him grab your chin like a cat pawing at you, his other hand nestled into your hair. “But you really don’t deserve this, especially after toni--”
You were cut off with a hungry lick, Leo’s mouth twisting against yours as the mask bumped against your nose. He lifted it just a bit higher, concealing only half of his face as he leaned deeper into you. His mouth was as warm as usual, but you could feel his warn down jealousy still through the rush of his lips. You wondered if you should really be rewarding him now after all he tried to pull.
A guttural purr released from his throat when he broke free from your mouth with a huff, running his hand down your back. He tried to pull your hair out of your face with his free hand, leaning for another kiss.
“Wait Leo,” You put a hand in front of your lips, the other out with your palm up. “Give it to me first.”
Leo let out a dramatic sigh. He sat for a moment, stubbornly waiting to see if you’d really push him or let it go.
“Come on now,” You beckoned with your hand.
Huffing with frustration, Leo took as slow as possible to pull the razor blade from his pants.

it really got his attention after one night. he was eating you out for so long and starting to ache thinking about fucking you. he was so excited to just get into it lol but then he saw the way you winced at the way his hips rubbed against you.
the next morning he felt so bad when he saw you looking at how red and sore you were. the next few days, he decides to take a break fom eating you out and just sex in general to let you recover.
and one day, you catch him in the bathroom, shaving cream in hand with a razor in the other. the expression on his face making it seem like he was making a huge sacrifice.
"you're shaving?" you ask, startling him. he nods as he goes back to looking at the razor and then his beard. "...why...? i thought you liked your beard."
he looked at you with a frown, "i hurt you, baby," you furrowed your eyebrows at him in confussion before realizing what he meant.
you shake your head and scoff playfully. "baby, you hurt me because you were eating me out for thirty minutes!" he looked away bashfully. "i love your beard. it feels good... but just not when its rubbing against me for so long."
he pouted and set down the items in his hands before he rubbed at the hair on his face. you reached up as well, cupping his cheek and rubbed at the hair there tenderly. you planted a kiss on his cheek and then on on his pouty pink lips.
you pulled away and kissed his jaw. the hair tickling your lips, "but maybe trim it down a little," you giggle. he rolls his eyes before he leans in and starts rubbing his beard all over your face.
you squirm and try to push him away but he has you cornered against the counter, holding you in place by your hips. you yelp when he moves down to your neck.
he pulls away and plants a kiss on your lips. "I'll get on that soon, peaches, dont worry."

Ooh I have an interesting question for you.
What are the subtle differences between Legacy and Childe? Like, besides the whole abyssal mothman transformation thing lmao. Things that only someone really close to them would notice.
No, no, lemme cook. It could be a difference in body language, it could be a hyper-specific mannerism, it could be a certain preference that contradicts the other side of him – or it could be something else entirely. A preferred manner of nonverbal communication. An emotional attachment to a specific thing. A memory the other side does not recall. A difference in their physical touch, or a different response to affection. Different fears.
Pls idek, I hope you can understand what I mean :')
I'd imagine Legacy relies heavily on instincts, rather than either emotion or logic, but that's as far as I can think, sleepless as I am. Thought you might like the lil prompt? Sort of?
Can this be considered a request?? Hmm... Whatever feels better for you I guess <33
Alr, that's all I think. Love you :DD
oh anon, i adore this. thank you so much
A Study of Mortal and Abyssal Nature
Foul Legacy x Reader Pronouns: Gender Neutral (no pronouns mentioned) Genre: Fluff, Comfort Warnings: Allusions to fighting and blood, mentions of the ocean
~ * ~ Childe stands tall, back straight with a hand casually on his hip, the epitome of confidence. If there’s a breeze his scarf begins to sway gently; a perfectly picturesque vision both strong and intimidating, as a Harbinger should be. Foul Legacy crouches, doing his best to seem unthreatening and gentle to the people he likes. He hunches in on himself, wanting to embrace, to listen, to comfort- but only for those he favors. Threats are met with snarls and bared fangs, claws sharp as razors and battle prowess honed to a deadly edge.
Childe has a wonderful, boisterous laugh that carries across the room and draws everyone’s eyes towards him. It’s loud and carefree, often done with his eyes closed and body doubled over as he fights to compose himself before finally looking up at you, breathless and grinning with delight. Foul Legacy chitters quietly, like a stream of soft, happy giggles. It’s almost always either from something you said or your reaction to his teasing, a glint of mischief in his crystalline eye, and he laughs until you’re laughing alongside him, before gently nudging his head under your chin with a lighthearted huff.
Childe walks down the streets with you easily, always touching you somehow- an arm around your shoulders, a hand on your waist, his fingers laced with yours. He cheerfully invades your personal space, bumping against you playfully and peppering kisses over your cheeks until you can’t help but push him away with a laugh, but he’ll stop instantly if you seem the slightest bit uncomfortable. Foul Legacy lingers close to you, nearby but not touching until you give him explicit permission, and even then his talons barely graze your skin. He gently bumps his forehead against yours instead, asking for you to scritch behind his horns and leaning into your touch. His head ends up in your lap more often than not, always making sure his kneading claws aren’t tearing your legs before inevitably falling asleep.
Childe loves the snow and all that it represents for him- his loyalty, his home, his strength. He stands firmly in the icy landscape, wrapped in a coat of furs and weaponry and love as he tells you to wait for him, wait for him in the warmth as he ventures into the cold, because he’ll always return just for you. Foul Legacy prefers warmth, having been surrounded by the chill of the Abyss for his whole life. His favorite moments are spent by a gentle fire, holding you close as you both sip hot drinks, and at night he makes sure to tightly curl around you. During the summer he basks in the sun, napping under the bright rays like a cat, only waking up with a sleepy rumble when you carefully shake him.
Childe prefers to hold you, shielding you from the outside world. As someone who was forced to grow up too soon, too quickly, Childe has seen darkness and despair firsthand, and wants nothing more than to protect you from everything cruel. He knows he can’t do it forever, that you’re plenty strong, but he can damn well try. Foul Legacy likes being held, having been deprived of kind touch in the Abyss. Being a native beast from the depths of the world, he was used to a solitary existence, but now he’s fallen in love with your hugs and kisses, burying himself in your arms when he’s feeling particularly lonely. There’s something so comforting about being able to curl against you, feeling you do your utmost to hug him even though he’s so much larger than you, his head against your shoulder and nuzzling against the crook of your neck.
Childe remembers bumping into you on the street, your apology quick and lighthearted. He had been wearing his Harbinger uniform, yet you still talked to him like he was an old friend, and Childe could feel his heart melting at that very instant. The next day he had walked that same path, and the next, and the next, until he finally came across you again with an eager shout. Foul Legacy remembers the first time Childe showed him to you, the way your eyes went wide with amazement. There had been a pause as Legacy crouched down to tentatively sniff you before letting out a delighted chirp- he recognized your scent, your voice, your appearance, from your time with Childe, watching from the back of the Harbinger’s mind. Now you were here, in front of him, and Legacy had quickly nudged his head against your outstretched hand with a purr.
Childe sings music from his home nation- popular songs, old ballads, lullabies his mother had sung for him. His accent comes through when he does, sheepishly laughing when you point it out, but he knows you love it so. He teaches you some of his and learns some of yours, mixing them together into something wholly unique. Foul Legacy’s songs are hauntingly beautiful, like an echoing whale’s call from deep beneath the sea. They’re all wordless tunes, composed entirely of notes and melodies, and he seems utterly overjoyed when you try to mimic them. One day he’ll tell you that his songs are reserved for you alone, the one he loves, but for now he’ll listen to you hum and hum back in return.
Childe tugs on your sleeve when he wants to get your attention, plopping his chin onto your shoulder as his arms wrap around you from behind. When you turn, you can see a silent pout on his lips, clearly telling you that he’s in need of some attention before he becomes restless. Foul Legacy approaches you directly, leaning down and bumping his head against your collarbone before looking at you imploringly. You’ll cup his face, swiping your thumbs over the plated cheeks, and a slow, soft purr rises from Legacy’s chest as he relaxes.
Childe fears the dark. Foul Legacy fears silence.
Childe fights to win. Foul Legacy fights to survive.
Both of them have nightmares. Both of them forcefully temper their hunger for blood with sparring. Both of them bristle at the slightest threat to the ones they care about. Both of them dread the day they’ll have to return to a kingdom of dead stars and corpses.
Both of them watch whatever you’re doing with a mushy, adoring look in their eyes, not saying a word. Both of them pick you up and spin you around in greeting after a long day’s work. Both of them sweep you into surprise dances, holding your hands like you’re a precious treasure. Both of them fall asleep leaning against you, waking up with a fluffy mess of ginger hair and a gentle, dreamy smile.
Both of them love you, unconditionally, now and forever.

Imagine ranting to Din while he repairs the Razor Crest.
finally, it’s written! this request has been sat on my list for a while, so to those who requested it, thank you for your patience! requested by: @ackermanbitch and an anon! written by: archie support me on ko-fi!
this is inspired by @yournewwriter‘s gentle prompts: moving you by the waist.
If there was one thing you could do, it was talk.
At first, Din hated it. He hated how you’d walked into the Crest like it was your home when he was only offering you a lift to a nearby system, he’d hated how you’d talked the whole time… and he hated how he’d accidentally grown fond of you.
He became glad to offer you a temporary place by his side when your situation shifted and you needed a residence, but there was no way he was expecting you to stick around for this long and still have so many stories to tell.
Somehow, tuning into your rambles both passed the time and helped him focus. He could fly easily with your words taking up a different space in his brain, and all the hours felt so much shorter, like he’d been travelling the universe beside you. You somehow kept him cheerful and engaged, even in the tough times. You had a natural knack for knowing what kind of story to tell, how to echo and fix his moods with your own experiences, which gave him an outlet for his own emotions.
And that’s how it was right now, his mood utterly foul as he worked on repairing the Crest after a sticky run-in, but his scowl was placed on hold. Or at least, directed to Mr Narvo, your old, snail-esque colleague in that restaurant on Corellia.
“I swear, I hadn’t done a thing wrong. The order was correct, I did everything to match what the stupid customer had asked for, but he really just-- You know what?” You wandered by him as you talked, frustrated and pacing as all the irritation from working at that restaurant came right back. “I think he’d decided that it would be a bad day for me already. He slithered in and just knew he was gonna try and get me fired.”
You paused your pacing, facing the beskar-clad warrior as he retracted an arm from inside the ship’s panel.
“-And he just kinda blinked at me. You know that eye thing?” Your hands, which had been flapping around animatedly, lifted to hold invisible spheres above your head. “Like the antennae lean forward and just look at you and squint and- honestly it’s so annoying because I can feel how he’s judging me but like? At least my eyeballs aren’t half a metre above from my head, right?”
“Right,” came Din’s voice as he dipped into a toolbox, proceeding to reach back into the side of his ship and twist some valves. His voice was a dry monotone, but he hadn’t once told you to shut up yet, so that was all you needed to continue your spiel.
“Right! So I just- I don’t mean to be rude, but I kinda do- I couldn’t keep it in, okay?” Din halted your pacing and handed you the metal tool, reaching into the Crest again. “… I told him to go stick his eyeballs in the dishwasher.”
Din paused. He turned to look at you. You were almost sure he’d tell you that it was a low blow, or that it wasn’t worth such a threat, but his modulated voice rose with a question. “And did he?”
“Wh- No, Din. Why would he-“
He shrugged one shoulder, stepping away to rummage in the toolkit once more. “That guy was purposely villainizing you, day after day. The least he could do would be-“
“If the universe was a decent place he’d be blinking bubbles, I know,” you chattered on, wandering once again. “But unfortunately, the universe is horrible, Narvo is still out there terrorising colleagues and-“ You stopped dead, peering down at the helmeted man, busy with his tools. “He got me fired.”
Din stopped his hands, visor raised up at you. Of course you couldn’t see his expression, but you didn’t need to as his disbelief met your ears. “It worked?”
“I know!?” You toyed with the tool, the weight falling from hand to hand, gripping it with each as if to decide which hand would better suit hitting Narvo in the eyeball with it, mouth running a mile a minute all the while. “He went straight to the manager, clearly he’d been building up some bullshit case of all the things I’d apparently done wrong— which I always had a particular reason for, by the way, and they were never even against the rules—”
The irritation still buzzed in your veins, even if it was months ago. What started as your attempt to take Din’s mind off the frustration from a damaged ship had turned into a surprise therapy session that seemed to uproot some sort of inferiority complex, and now you were just airing out your issues without even being aware of Din bustling around you.
“Like, I’m a good worker, you know? I take pride in that because I actually care about what I put into the universe, I strive to make this shitty place better for the people, unlike Narvo. He was just there to feed his own-”
Gentle hands on your waist had you startled, and your gaze shot up to the visor, eyes wide and an unmistakable heat to your cheeks. He’d never touched you like this before.
You couldn’t help leaning into his hold, heart beating like crazy-
A gentle pressure from one hand had you stepping aside, and then it was gone.
He leant past you, reaching into the metal hood of the ship. You’d parked right in front of it without even noticing, far too wrapped up in the fury of your tale.
“Keep going,” he spoke, and you fumbled to find your words again, fiddling with the tool in your hands.
“Wh- What was I saying again?”
A gloved hand reached back to take the tool from your hands. “He was just feeding his ego by preying on you. It’s better to keep away from characters like that.”
Your stride finally came back to you and the story continued in your mind, but the sure flutter in your chest was going at full force. “Right, I learned that by now.”
“You want me to put a hit on him?”
You scoffed. “Din, please. …But if we stop off at Corellia, he’ll shit himself when he sees me with a Mandalorian.”
A soft breath of laughter, so quiet you almost missed it. “Then that’s our next stop.”

Hello sorry if I'm bothering you but I wanted to share one of my ideas with you. So what if the reader appeared on the Loufu and it caused a small tremor along with a large energy fluctuation so Jing Yuan went to investigate with Fu Xuan going with him and they came across an unconscious person who was not only confused when they awoke but completely exhausted, hungry and with strange markings on some parts of their body and when they got examined by a doctor it was discovered that they had an extremely large amount of strange energy within their body. (This was inspired by the first episode of Aphmau Diaries rebirth, here's the link if you don't know what I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/1Vzq1QZVtuk?si=kyIxOyJTSnTjNaMG) (if you don't want to write this that's completely alright and I wish you a good morning/afternoon or goodnight☺️)
An Unexpected Guest

All was peaceful on the Xianzhou Luofu. Beams of sunlight illuminated the vibrant blue sky, tinting everything in a warm shade of gold. Shops operated on every street, the sharp ping of bells and the shouts of shopkeepers echoed out through the streets, attracting clamoring swells of civilians in record time. Children happily played among the crowds, swept up in the rare, shopping-induced excitement of the adults. For a change, there was little distress anywhere on the ship. There was no word of the Stellaron Hunters, no new reports of people being Mara struck, and even no reports of petty crimes. The workload wasn’t too terrible for those in command of the Luofu either- Jing Yuan was able to take a long nap, and Fu Xuan was able to take a break and have some tea for the first time in weeks. Yangqing managed to squeeze in some training time too. All was well. All was normal.
But of course, in a universe as vast and random as this one, the fates wouldn’t let it stay this peaceful for long. And of course, as a general, Jing Yuan must be prepared for anything. It is one of his most basic duties to stay alert and be ready at all times. Even so, the sleeping general couldn’t help but flinch in surprise as an ear-shattering boom echoed throughout the whole ship, followed by an earthquake that managed to toss even him out of bed. Meanwhile, just as Fu Xuan was about to swallow her first sip of tea, the vigorous shaking of the floor managed to knock the teacup out of her hands. Not only did she have to watch as her favorite cup shattered to bits, but she choked on her tea as well, leaving her in a wheezing heap on the floor.
Thankfully both parties quickly recovered and ran to the windows of their respective offices to see what happened. A pillar of light shone from the Starskiff docks, along with a plume of dust that undoubtedly came from an explosion. Only a few minutes after this discovery, Fu Xuan was given orders from Jing Yuan to go inspect the crisis with him. So much for a peaceful day.
As the disoriented pair cautiously approached the docks, they saw the silhouette of a crumpled body lying in the center of the dissipating light. Jing Yuan was the first to kneel down and inspect the injured figure. After checking your pulse, it became clear that you were still alive. But just barely. You were covered in deep, razor-fine cuts, and sizeable bruises littered your legs and arms. Jing Yuan didn’t know what had happened to you, but it was clear that what went down wasn’t good. The dark circles under your eyes suggested that you had been fighting for a long time, with no rest or nutrition. Taking a step back, the general’s features morphed into an expression of deep concern. He sighed and turned to his diviner companion, who was practically bursting to comment on the situation.
“Fu Xuan… I imagine you saw this coming?”
“I, in fact… did not. For once, my divinations couldn’t pick up on… well, anything of note happening today.”
“Hm… how interesting.”
Jing Yuan cast his gaze down to you once more, trying to decide what to do next. Fu Xuan merely suffered in silence at his side, completely unsure of what to do as well. After a few moments of heavy silence, the general scooped up your beaten body in his arms and began walking back to the Exalting Sanctum. Fu Xuan stared at him for a few moments before jogging after him, urgently asking him what he was doing. Jing Yuan calmly explained that, given the strange nature of the situation, you would need to be brought in for questioning and given heavy medical attention. The diviner huffed, quietly grumbling something about incompetence before following in his wake.
Once they returned to the Exanting Sanctum, Jing Yuan called upon his tiny friend Bailu to help heal you. Having called upon her for anti-sleeping medicine many times before, Jing Yuan practically had her on speed dial in case any new problems arose. Hours upon hours passed before you were well enough to awaken, but Bailu’s work certainly did not disappoint. The gashes on your body had faded into nothingness, save for a few scars, and the herbs she used helped you recover after losing so much blood. According to Bailu, you needed much more time to rest, but by tomorrow you would be alright. However, one odd trait resisted her treatment: the glowing lines left on your stomach.
Bailu was the only one who had seen them so far. The markings were hidden by cloth and blood when you were found, so it slipped past the awareness of the general and diviner. She worriedly called them in, asking if they knew what those marks were, but she was given no answers. Perhaps the truth would reveal itself when you woke up, but for now, it was hopeless. Jing Yuan gratefully bid the exhausted healer goodbye, taking a seat by your bed afterward. Meanwhile, Fu Xuan further examined your markings. They were long, branch-like streaks of bright purple that extended towards your chest, almost like an infection. However, they didn’t seem to be getting worse, and they didn’t behave the way a bad infection would. Feeling a bit frustrated, she gave up and resorted to waiting alongside the general.
While Jing Yuan fell asleep in no time, the poor diviner was left awake and antsy. The room was dead quiet, but the anxious tapping of her foot repeatedly broke the silence. She could see the future, for god's sake! How could she have ended up so clueless in this situation?! She was so used to knowing everything, planning ahead, and having things run as they should. But now, she was at a complete loss. She didn’t know anything about those marks, or about you. And she if there was one thing she hated, it was not knowing things. In order to save her sanity from crashing and burning, she hurried out of your room to browse the Luofu’s databases for information. And oh boy, did she find what she was looking for.
The amount of information locked away in the Luofu’s archives was enough to have anyone floored- even Fu Xuan. As her gaze flickered over each document she found about body markings, she became even more astounded at what she found. The markings you had signified great power, but were also a promise of anguish and ruin. The only other person to have these marks crashed onto the ship centuries ago, in the same way you did. No one knew who they were, or why they appeared. Even after contacting other planets, it became clear that they had never been seen before. Those markings were a mystery, as well as their identity. All anyone knew was that they possessed powers akin to a god, and were classified as a severe threat.
Borderline sprinting, Fu Xuan hauled herself back to your room to tell Jing Yuan everything she found. You could bring ruin to everyone on the Luofu if what she read was true. Not to mention the fact that you were immune to her divinations– you already had an advantage against her. Maybe this was all part of your plan, maybe you had already begun to–
As she opened the door to your room, her spiral immediately stopped. To her surprise, you were awake and pleasantly chatting away with the general. You seemed… polite. Friendly, even. Once you noticed her presence, you kindly greeted her and asked how she was. Fu Xuan short-circuited at this, staring at you in sheer bewilderment. What happened to the flames and destruction she read about? What exactly was going on?! She was still very wary of you, but she mustered up the courage to respond with a terse “Hello. I'm fine”. The way you greeted her showed that you weren’t an immediate threat, so maybe she could entertain small talk with you. For now, at least.
After Fu Xuan discreetly briefed Jing Yuan on what she found, they began to question you. It was like something out of a good cop/bad cop show. The general was authoritative yet calm, and the diviner was like a defensive chihuahua. You revealed that you had been fighting off a swarm of white, bug-like creatures when you lost consciousness. All you could remember was getting hit in the stomach by one of them before blacking out. Jing Yuan gave his companion a knowing side-eye. Where you got hit was undoubtedly connected to those markings. They’d have to have Bailu examine them again once you were settled in, and testing would be necessary if you were cooperative enough.
But what were they meant to do now? They obviously couldn’t let you roam around the universe to fend for yourself, especially if those lines meant that you were uncontrollably powerful. They couldn’t keep you in captivity either though- it was inhumane, and would only make everything worse. If they wanted to give you freedom while keeping the universe safe, they would have to let you stay on the ship until they confirmed you weren’t a threat. Jing Yuan was intrigued by you- not just because you were an enigma, but because of your personality. You were kind, even in such jarring circumstances. you showed a rare kind of strength, one that pushed him to converse with you more. Besides, with the power you supposedly held, you could prove to be a useful force against the mara.
“I’m assuming you don't have anywhere to go, yes?”
“Jing Yuan, just what are you thinkin–”
“We would be happy to house you on the Xianzhou Luofu for a while. There’s more we would like to ask you about… and, I have a feeling you’ve got a myriad of interesting stories to tell.”
After a moment of contemplation, you wearily accepted. The offer was very generous- besides, what other options did you have? You had no recorded identity in this world and no way of knowing what dangers awaited you. Heading out on your own was a death wish. Besides, your conversation with the general had been nice, and his pink-haired friend was entertaining. Here, you didn’t feel threatened. Jing Yuan seemed like a kind man, and it had been a while since someone had listened to you so attentively. You couldn’t help but be drawn to the diviner beside him as well. She might have been openly suspicious of you, but you couldn’t blame her. Her grumpy, yet determined way of going about things was amusing, and you could tell that there was a softer side to her behind her defensiveness. It was admirable how well she held herself together despite the chaotic nature of your arrival.
It would take a lot of time to process all that had happened to you in the last 24 hours (along with a lot of therapy), but at least you had two allies to fall back on now. It was probably a poor choice to trust them so quickly, but the energy they exuded was welcoming– you could tell they were good people. Maybe the universe brought you to them for a reason. It was far-fetched, but if you were going to end up in a completely foreign world, who better to take you in than two of the ship’s leaders? As you fell asleep that night, long after the two of them had left, you attempted to prepare yourself for the next few weeks. The rest of your journey might end up being hell, but you had a feeling that will the help of the general and diviner, everything might just turn out okay.

Through the Threads of Time - Levi Ackerman x Female Reader
It has been years, years since you saw him. Your best friend in elementary and middle school, now all grown up. As he enters the tea shop with some sort of limp through the front door, your eyes cling to him. His once soft jawline is now sharp and defined, his cheekbones high on his face, and his eyes have a silver razor’s edge to them. He’s dressed in a black and white suit, the first two buttons of his undershirt unbuttoned, with a long black trench coat over it all. His hair is parted to the side and his undercut looks freshly buzzed.
He looks… breathtaking?
You nearly drop the piping hot green tea you’re serving to a nearby table of customers.
“Ma’am? Ma’am?” the customer calls out to you in an impatient tone. You’re snapped out of your trance and you muster up the best smile you can conjure as a wave of panic washes over your body.
“Sorry about that!” you apologize in a peppy customer service voice as you set the teapot down gently. “Here you go. Enjoy!”
As you make your way back behind the counter, your frazzled hands make flattening paths down your apron. Before you can run to the bathroom to do a quick once-over of your appearance, a low voice calls your name questioningly. It reverberates in your ears and causes you to freeze in your tracks.
“Is that you?” the voice calls out again.
Your breath hitches in your throat after swallowing a thick wad of saliva. Quickly, you turn around and face your once beloved childhood best friend. A pang of concern hits you in the gut when you see two scars running across his face, one merging into his left eye. The iris and pupil are completely gone, leaving nothing but a white eye behind. You had seen the pictures in the papers but… it was a different story to see it in person.
His gaze travels up and down your body and a small smile tugs at the corners of his lips.
“Levi,” you smile at him. “What a wonderful surprise.”
“I concur. How have you been doing?”
“Never better! How are you?”
“Never better,” he echoes and looks around the shop. “This is where you work? I’ve never seen you here before.”
“I just started a week or so ago. I only work on weekends. I’m a full-time student.”
“Is that so? What are you studying?”
“Literature.”
“That’s… very fitting. After all, I couldn’t have passed many of my classes without your help.”
You’re not sure how to respond, so all you do is give him a chuckle. You look around the room and pray to the heavens above that nobody can see the heat creeping up on your cheeks.
However, he sees you looking around the room and mistakes the gesture for boredom. He takes a deep breath.
“Anyway, I don’t want to hold you up. I’ll take a 12-ounce hot black tea. To go, please.”
“Sure thing,” you say, trying to fight the deflated feeling in your chest as you write the order on the side of the cup with his name. “Anything else?”
“No, that’ll be all. Thank you.”
Once you make his order and hand it to him, he lifts the cup in your direction and nods once at you.
“Thanks. I’ll see you around. Enjoy the rest of your day.”
“Thank you, you too.”
Your eyes stick to his figure as he limps out of the shop. All the way until he’s gone from sight when he rounds the corner of the street outside.
And just like clockwork, Levi comes into the shop at 3 PM, on the dot, every Saturday. Placing the same order, asking more questions about what you’ve been up to the past couple decades, all the while looking dashing every single visit. Once you recognize this pattern, you start to put more effort into your appearance. Not too much that it’s going overboard, but just enough. Your hair is always styled neatly and you go out of your way to slow down the way you apply your makeup.
You certainly didn’t have feelings for your childhood best friend, that’s for certain. You didn’t even know the guy. You both have changed, in every single way. But was he pretty to look at? Absolutely.
And you want him to have something to look at, too.
“I’ve enjoyed chatting with you,” Levi says your name and flicks a few dollars into the tip jar on the counter. “Reminds me of simpler times. Would you be available sometime this week for tea?”
“I appreciate that. And yeah, that sounds great! I actually get off in a few hours and don’t have anything planned after.”
“Perfect. Shall I meet you here?”
“N-no, let’s go somewhere else,” you blurt and his eyebrow raises. “Sorry. It’s my coworkers. They all talk, you know. And I value my privacy.”
“As do I. Would it be too forward to invite you over to my place? I live just right down the road. I could give you a full tea tasting.”
“How can I pass up such an enticing offer?” you smile at him. “It’s a deal.”
“Great. Here’s my address,” he grabs a pen and napkin, both sitting nearby, and uses it to scribble the numbers and words of his residence. “Does 7 work for you?”
“Yes, that sounds good.”
“Fantastic,” he says monotonously as he leans up and holds the napkin toward you. You take it gingerly and shove it into your back pocket. “I’ll see you tonight.”
“It’s a plan.”
* * *
7 PM comes faster than you ever thought it would. It seems to come in a blink of an eye. You’re standing at his front door. His house is a one-story home that features a white exterior with dark green window shutters. The landscaping is kept up on: campanulas and other types of flowers neatly groomed into sections, wood chips in the dead space, and hedges trimmed perfectly. All the visible windows are open with curtains pulled back to let in the warm, clean summer air.
You knock and wait a few moments before the door opens. Levi looks at you, his eyes boring into yours. He’s wearing black slacks and a white tee.
“Hey,” you give him a smile.
“Hi, come in.”
He steps to the side and you step through the door frame. You take off your outerwear at the door. He takes your coat and hangs it on a nearby standing coat rack. You thank him. You place your shoes neatly on the entrance rug, keeping in mind Levi’s clean-freakiness that you came to know throughout the years.
You immediately spot the mahogany kitchen table, which is adorned with a white table runner down the middle. On the table are dainty white tea cups. A number of them. There are also a few tea kettles and French presses with dark liquid in them. On a tiered serving platter are snacks such as cut sandwiches, donuts, cupcakes, macarons, and fruit.
“Holy shit,” you approach the table slowly and gesture to it. “You did all this?”
“Yes, I haven’t had the chance to do this quite yet. And this is a special occasion. So I went all out.”
“I’m honored. This looks amazing, Levi. Truly.”
“Thank you. Let’s wash up and get started, yeah?”
“Okay.”
* * *
You can tell that Levi is fighting back his excitement as he is explaining the ins and outs of making tea to you. You admire the way that he gently pours the hot water into teacups, seeping the leaves just right before serving them to you. It’s so graceful and calculated. All the while, he’s concentrated with his brows knitted together.
You listen intently, through every step. You never thought tea making could get so technical with perfecting the water temp, preheating the teaware, using exclusively loose whole-leaf tea, using filtered water, and so on. After all, you are a novice barista.
Particularly, he is a strong advocate of not adding milk nor any type of sweetener to tea, which isn’t a shock to you as he always declined both with each and every order of his. His justification was so the drinker can truly taste the tea on its own. Makes sense. However, you prefer some sort of additive to your tea, so this was an adjustment.
“This is a bit bitter,” you say, coughing a little after you carefully take a drink of a golden tinted tea. “Is it supposed to be like that?”
“Yes. Young sheng is generally a more bitter tea.”
That is the last of the tea sampling. The tiered platter is almost cleared off as you and Levi both tried some finger foods with the wide selection of tea.
“So, what’s your verdict? Which is your favorite?” he asks inquisitively.
“Out of all these, I liked the hibiscus tea the best. I liked how it was a bit sour and the color of it was super pretty.”
“I understand. Again, that’s very fitting.”
“You’ve said that quite a few times now and I’m not sure if I should take it as a compliment or an insult,” you chuckle dryly.
“It’s not meant to be an insult by any means. Just… not surprising. Despite all these years, you really haven’t changed much.”
“I see,” you say, leaning back in your chair. “We’ve talked an awful lot about me. But what about you, Levi? What have you been up to?”
“Well, to be candid, things have been…” he trails off and looks troubled. His brow is furrowed. “Quiet, since everything ended. My leg has healed tremendously since injuring it. I was condemned to a wheelchair for a long time and… that was also a difficult change for me, to say the least.”
“Of course. That would be a difficult change for anyone.”
“But it only pushed me to put in my all during physical therapy. Being in that wheelchair I felt… incapable. A ghost of a person I once was. Humanity’s Strongest Soldier… reduced into a cripple. Yes, I survived. But I can’t help but wonder… would’ve it been better if I had perished, just like so many of my comrades?”
“Levi…” you say in a cautionary tone, “you know that’s not true, right? You may see a wheelchair as an obstacle or a reduction of your character, but that’s far from the truth. You still have so much to offer the world. That’s never changing. Like, you coming into the shop every weekend was always something I looked forward to.”
The ends of his lips curl ever so slightly upward into a soft smile. You both exchange prolonged eye contact before he looks away into the platter of leftover food and tea.
“I appreciate that, thank you. Everything became difficult, even going to the toilet. Gabi and Falco forced me to hire an at-home nurse. And not only was I dealing with this new debilitating physical ailment… but I was facing a mental one, too. I often asked myself if life was really worth living in my disabled state. I was never truly suicidal, but I did question my existence, my purpose in life. After all, I had fulfilled my mission as a soldier.”
He pauses to look at you. You’re still listening with such intent that it makes him continue.
“But to die by my own hand would mean letting my comrades down. Their lives were taken unwillingly. By force. What a privilege it is to live. To wake up each day. To draw breath.”
“I never really looked at it that way but, yes… you’re right. It is a privilege.”
He clears his throat and sits up in his seat.
“Long-winded answer… Sorry. But right now I’m working on a book. Hoping the guys at Berg will give me some free publicity when I actually publish it. Who knows.”
“Really? A book? What about?”
“The last seven years of my time in the Survey Corps: a first-hand, unbiased account of what happened as Eren Jaeger, once known as the hope of humanity, became the most despised person in history. I don’t want humanity to forget those important events. Otherwise, we’ll be doomed to repeat them.”
“That’s fantastic! And a great point. If you ever want someone to take a look over it, I’d be more than willing to do so. Historical nonfiction isn’t really my strong suit, but I’m sure we could work something out.”
“I will keep that in mind. I’m not even halfway done yet.”
“Well, I’m sure there’s a lot to account for and remember.”
“Certainly.”
* * *
You and Levi end up talking through the afternoon into the late evening. You two sit by the fireplace on his couch and enjoy a glass or two of red wine. The house is completely dark otherwise. There’s a slight pink tinge dancing across the apples of his cheeks. You’ve never seen the man smile as much as he has this evening.
“Thank you for coming over,” he says casually as he tilts his wine in a circular motion, making the dark liquid dance across the waist of the glass. “I really appreciate it. I tend to overstock on tea. So it’s nice to finally share that with someone. Get rid of some of it.”
“Of course. It was quite impressive. Have I told you that already?”
“Just only a million times.”
“And I’ll say it a million more.”
Both of you chuckle. The warmth of the fire spreads across the pad of your foot when you stick it out towards the flames.
“You know, have I ever told you how pretty you are?”
Your head snaps towards him. Did you hear him correctly? “I beg your pardon?”
“Please. Don’t act like you don’t already know.”
“Alright, pal. I’m cutting you off. Gimme.”
Once you put your wine glass down on the side table, you lunge at him and he pulls away teasingly. A smirk spreads across his face. Utilizing the armrest of the couch, you reach again and contort your body over his to try and reach it. As quickly as a lightning strike hits, your hand suddenly slips off, causing your whole body to collide with his. Your face collapses into his torso.
And you notice how close you two are. His body heat radiates onto yours. It somehow seems hotter than the fire. How he’s still effortlessly holding his wine glass despite the clashing of your bodies. He sets it down carefully on the other end table and his hands slowly lower onto your waist.
“Easy,” he breathes lowly as he moves your body so your face is close to his. “Don’t want to spill.”
Your breath hitches in your throat. His breath fans across your lips. He seems frozen in place, waiting for you to do something. You lick your lips and look up into his eyes. His gaze bores into yours. And just like that, you’re too frozen to do anything, either. Hesitantly, he reaches a hand up and slowly guides a tuft of your hair behind the shell of your ear. After, his hand settles on the side of your neck, which allows his thumb to make soft strokes against the round of your cheek. You lean into his touch and your eyes fluttered closed. You hear his breath get caught up in his throat, too.
He leans into you, and when his lips brush yours ever so slightly, goosebumps run along the length of your spine. Your heartbeat rages in your chest. He calls out your name cautiously.
“Hm?” you open your eyes.
He looks almost pleadingly as he whispers a question.
“Is this okay?”
You nod your head, “Yes.”
And with that one word, his lips push onto yours. He’s warm. So warm and soft. He cups your face in his large hands. He’s so gentle in his movements, acting as if you are made of glass, bound to break at any moment. He pulls away from the kiss, separating you two with a quiet smack of your lips. He looks to you to find any idea what you’re thinking.
But even through childhood into now, he cannot deny you’ve always been hard for him to read.
You bite your lip as you reach up to his cheek and gently stroke it with the backs of your fingers. Much like you, his eyes flutter closed.
“That was nice,” you mutter.
“Yeah,” he breathes. “It was.”
“Do you… maybe want to do it again?”
He smiles. A full smile.
“Of course.”
* * *
About an hour later, he’s helping you put on your coat. You tie up your shoes in the same place you untied them.
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay?” he says, hinting at a tone of nervousness. “I mean… it’s late.”
“I’m okay. Thank you though, Levi.”
“And you don’t want me to walk you home?”
“No, thank you. I like my solitary walks.”
“So stubborn,” he trails off, scratching the back of his neck. “Elated to see that hasn’t changed, either.”
You roll your eyes at him as you open up the front door. The warm night summer air fills your lungs. People are still out and about canvassing the streets. Once you step onto his porch, you turn on your heel and look into his eyes.
In a compulsory move, you step towards him and kiss him again. He immediately reciprocates as his palms instinctively go to the curve of your waist. He pushes you into him further. His tongue gently pries at your lips and asks for access. You open your jaw to allow it. It’s not long before both of you are panting with need.
You pull away, though, and bury your face in the soft fabric of his shirt. You inhale his clean scent, a smell of detergent and cologne filling your senses. His strong arms wrap around your frame. You stay there for a few moments and relish in the simplicity of the moment.
“Will you go to breakfast tomorrow? With me?” he questions.
“Sure. Where at?”
“The coffee shop.”
“Levi, I told you… my coworkers.”
“That’s fine. Let’s give them something to talk about.”
You fight back the stupidest grin. You can’t deny the idea of it. It’s exciting. You take a step back from him and shake your head.
“Ever the assertive one… that sure hasn’t changed about you.”
“8 AM. I’ll meet you there.”
“Make it 9 and we got a deal.”
“Fine. 9 AM.”
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
Levi, in a rush, closes the space between you to kiss you again right there on the sidewalk. He doesn’t want to let you go. He wants you to stay with him. Though he knows the thought is greedy, he can’t help it. He wants to make up for all the lost time.
He watches as your figure disappears down the street. He shakes his head. Who would’ve thought you two would be here after all these years. After all the strife. The struggle. He certainly didn’t. And neither did you.
But never mind that. You both have a breakfast date tomorrow.
