MALLLEUUUSSS 🥹🥹😭😭😭 this is one of the reasons why I adore him. Platonic, romantic, or whatever you believe your relationship with malleus is, in the end, he wanted you to have fun and enjoy yourself.

He did this for you at the end of the day. His child of man. He wanted you who was not scared of him to have fun and he was happy you did.

🎃A Twisted Halloween With My Twst OCs🎃

Hello everyone! Happy Halloween to you all!

In honor of today, here are some headcanons about what some of my twst ocs were up to during Halloween at NRC, and how they dealt with the magicam monsters in their own ways. I only did headcanons for four of them though since others were doing similar things with them. Hope you enjoy! ✨

Halloween is one of Crisanta’s favorite times of the year because of her love for costumes and candy. She helps her dormmates design decoration for their stamp station and even helps in making them. Crisanta also helps Ione have fun since she’s never really celebrated halloween before. One thing she and Ione work on is are three life sized skeletons created from a mix of paper mache and rebar. They dress them up in the same costume sported by the other Heartslabyul students and their likeness is such that they almost seem real. The skeletons end up spooking some of the younger guests though, especially after Crisanta gets behind one and pretends to make it move on its own.

During the magicam monster crisis, two of the skeletons end up going missing and Crisanta goes looking for them with Deuce. They find one completely broken at Savannaclaw’s stamp station and the other one being paraded around by some of the magicam monsters while another one records them. They end up carelessly tossing the skeleton to the side once their done making their video, dismembering it in the process which greatly upsets Deuce. A fight nearly breaks out that Crisanta only barely stops, despite wanting nothing more than to see Deuce kick their asses for messing up her and Ione’s hard work.

With the remaining skeleton, Crisanta gets the idea of using it in Heartslabyul’s plan to get back at the magicam monsters, an idea that came to her when Ione reminded her of how she pretended to make it move. During one instance, after a few touchups, Ione places herself in a deep hole that Trey dug for her and lifts the skeleton up as though it were rising from a grave. This already terrifies the unwelcome guests but to add to it, Ione makes the head fall off on purpose, with Crisanta coming up from behind them, her head inside her top to give off the impression that she’s headless.

She screams for her head back and this has the magicam monsters running for their lives. This amuses all the Heartslabyul students who commend her for coming up with the idea, but Crisanta’s joy is something else entirely: that she was able to finally see Ione smile and even laugh as they scared off the magicam monsters. This has been something she’s secretly wished for from the beginning of the school year and for Crisanta, Ione’s laughter is sweeter than all the candy in the world.

Iman, Danica and Vidaria under the cut!

Iman isn’t too thrilled with Scarabia’s werewolf theme at first, but she grows to like it after Vidaria compliments her costume. She’s also complimented by a young girl who is visiting NRC with her family for Halloween. The girl is from Iman’s homeland and she takes a quick and strong liking to her and vice versa. She ends up coming to Scarabia’s stamp station with her mom several times that day to see her even after collecting her stamp. Iman even buys the girl an NRC waffle that they share together during one of her breaks. Taima mentions how she’s never seen Iman acting so sweet and Jamil says its’s likely because Iman has younger siblings of her own who absolutely adore their big sister.

When the magicam monsters become a problem, the girl ends up getting separated from her family at the Pomefiore stamp station and in the chaos, gets lost. Her mother comes to Iman naturally frantic and Iman helps her search for the child. They find her wandering around Octavinelle’s stamp station while the magicam monsters are causing more chaos and a glass bottle of chemicals nearly falls on her. Iman is able to pull her away right in time but the poor girl is clearly upset and cries about how everyone kept pushing her out of the way when she was trying to get a stamp in the Mirror Chamber. She had even seen a few fights break out and her mother decides that perhaps they should leave NRC if the magicam monsters are causing so much trouble. This upsets the girl who really wanted to attend the halloween party and it also infuriates Iman who is one of the first to suggest taking revenge on the magicam monsters.

After the magicam monsters have been taken care of, the first thing Iman does is try and find the contact info for the young girl’s family. She’s able to and thankfully, they are still on the Isle of Sages, she tells them NRC has dealt with the magicam monsters and that they’re more than welcome to return for the halloween party. After some heavy convincing, the mother agrees and Iman has a wonderful time at the party with Vidaria and her new little friend, entertaining her with stories about the mysterious werewolf that was rumored to once roam where NRC now stands.

TW: Brief mention of sexual harassment

Danica initially wasn’t planning to help with Pomefiore’s stamp station, but Vil insists she does, yet another one of his tests to help her be less shy and fearful about interacting with the public. Epel and Maximilian join her and at first, she’s willing to help but is unsure how to present herself as a convincing vampire. In the days leading up to halloween week, she reads several books about vampires and watches a few vampire movies, hoping to find inspiration. Maximilian actually tries to help her but admits that her demeanor is really too sweet for a vampire. Rook on the other hand comments that it is exactly that sweetness that would make being a vampire perfect for her. Because vampires entice their victims with their supernatural charms, and what could be more enticing than a sweet face paired with a tender voice beckoning victims to their doom? Danica is not so sure she understands what Rook is getting at, but resolves to be the best vampire she can be.

At first, Danica seems to being doing well helping out with the stamp station but when the magicam monsters show up, trouble starts. A group of guys begin flirting with her and even when she shyly rejects their advances, one of them starts getting aggressive. Maximilian puts himself between Danica and her harasser and Epel even helps him, resulting in a fight. Rook is able to put a stop to this before things get too heated and the assholes leave. But the ordeal leaves Danica incredibly shaken and when Vil finds out, HE IS PISSED! He feels particulalry upset because it was his idea that Danica help out at the stamp station in the first place and secretly blames himself for putting her in that situation and exposing her to such scummy people.

As a result, he instructs Danica not to help out anymore until the magicam monster crisis has passed. This actually upsets her even more because up until that moment, she was enjoying helping out and when word comes that the halloween party might be cancelled, she is inconsolable because she had plans to give a concert with the light music club. When the students begin planning revenge, Danica is more than willing to help. During the first few instances of Pomefiore scaring the magicam monsters off she watches from a hidden place in the Mirror Chamber and notices how Vil and Epel lure them in and begins to understand what Rook was saying to her earlier. When more magicam monsters enter, Danica realizes it’s the same guys from before, she’s a little nervous about encountering them again but at the same time, she wants revenge.

She stands at the entrance of the Mirror Chamber, singing the same song she had planned to perform at the halloween party. This gets the attention of the guys and after a few sweet words from her, easily follow her deeper into the chamber (with Rook watching from a hidden place to ensure her safety). She disappears behind one of the coffins and Vil and Epel appear begin their terrorizing attack. When she appears again, the magicam monsters find her pretending to feed off Maximilian as he’s screaming in agony. She drops his lifeless body on the floor and asks one of her harassers (the same who got aggressive and picked a fight with her dormmates) if he wouldn’t also enjoy falling victim to her fangs. Her words leave him stunned with a mix of terror and desire as his friends bolt and just to make her point, she boldly shows him her fangs and grabs his arm. This is enough for him to also run and later that evening, Jade mentions seeing the same guy running out of the school building with a wet backside. Vil, Rook and Maximilian commend Danica on having finally become a convincing vampire and her performance at the halloween party is a major, viral success.

Vidaria has mixed feelings on the halloween season, she enjoys it well enough but halloween in Briar Valley is particularly scary and bizarre for those not used to it. She still remembers the halloween a decade ago and the memory of Lilia’s terrifying appearance is enough to bring up even worse memories from a past she’d rather forget. Halloween is a holiday Lilia really gets into and the one time of year he ALMOST forgets his constant efforts not to retraumatize her. But this year, Vidaria wants to make it easy for him and not take part in the halloween festivities if she can help it. She’s only convinced otherwise when she visits Scarabia one day and Iman shows off her costume. Iman tells her of all the fun they’ll have dressed up and scaring others and even says how being terrifying to others might actually be therapeutic. Vidaria never thought of it this way but her friend’s pleas are enough to convince her to join in on the halloween fun.

However, she’s not too thrilled with the costume Malleus created for the Diasomnia students. She still finds dragons terrifying and even after Malleus subjects her to the same long ass tangent about the differences between eastern and western dragons that he gave to Vil, she’s still not keen on it. Until she remembers what Iman told her about being terrifying as a form of catharsis. So Vidaria dresses as a long with Malleus and Lilia and genuinely enjoys working at the stamp station with them. More than a few times, she and Silver have to stop Lilia from scaring guests too badly but it’s all in good fun for now. She’s a little confused as to why Malleus wanted to make Diasomnia’s stamp station location Ramshackle dorm but doesn’t think too deeply about it at first and even poses for several pictures beside the large red dragon when some guests ask her.

Vidaria is actually at Ramshackle when the magicam monsters arrive. She’s feeding Grim candy and asking Yuulan about her relation to Diasomnia, curious to understand why Malleus would use Ramshackle for their stamp station, among other things. Yuulan is just as perplexed as her but before she can give an answer magicam monsters break into Ramshackle and harass Grim for more pictures. Vidaria tries to help Grim and Yuulan kick them out but one of the magicam monsters notices her ears and asks if she’s a fae. She replies yes and they then proceed to pull on her ear and push their phone in her face, wanting to get a picture of her. Because Vidaria is EXTREMELY protective of her personal space and doesnt allow most people to touch her, this incident drives her up the wall with rage. Silver and Sebek can see the outside of Ramshackle begin to shake and they already know whats up, Silver goes into the house and tries to calm Vidaria down before she causes any serious damage. With Sebek’s help, they drag her out of the house and Lilia calls Iman who drops everything to see her friend, embracing her to help bring her back to reality

At this point, Vidaria doesn’t even care anymore why Diasomnia’s stamp station is at Ramshackle, she was having a pretty nice halloween before the magicam monsters arrived and ruined things. She was even looking forward to the halloween party and is incensed when she hears of its possible cancelation. Naturally, she want in on revenge against the magicam monsters but Lilia is against that because of he plans to go all out in terrorizing them and doesn’t want to do anthing that would distress her further. Lilia is also against her help because of how unstable Vidaria and her magic are when she’s in a heightened emotional state, even saying that if Silver and Sebek had come to the house a moment later, they would likely have to dig a few graves.

But Vidaria is having none of Lilia’s refusal, remembering Iman’s words and desiring retribution for her wounded pride. During Diasomnia’s scaring attack, she offers creepy, coquettish laughter that creeps the magicam monsters out but that’s only the beginning. She dons a ghostly white robe and with Iman’s help brushes her hair to cover her face and gives her some very frightening makeup. Vidaria pretends to be a former resident of Ramshackle and a victim of the long’s curse, telling the magicam monsters in an unsettling voice that they are now doomed. Her presence is enough to terrify them but Lilia’s arrival makes things a thousand times worse. However, no matter how arduously Lilia works at being terrifying, he remembers his promises to Vidaria and they make a great duo. And somehow, seeing Lilia like this isn’t as horrific to her as it was a decade ago, probably because of how amusing it is seeing the magicam monsters so terrified of them, amusing and cathartic as well.

I was watching Jack's Halloween voice lines to inspire me writing something for him but there is this one line that cracked me up. He was talking about how Leona go perfectly well with the pirate aesthetic bc, in his translated words, "he is listless and vulgar" (then he tries to correct himself and say "strong")

How my NRC ocs felt about the Scary Monsters event

Warnings: Mentions of harassment and sexual assault

This is badly written I know

{ Yuuta }

Costume: Sorcerer Mickey

Was so pissed off

Especially when the magicam monsters start to practically harass him and Grim

Like he couldn't give that much of a shit about Grim, he can handle himself

But why harass him?!?

As compensation for how the magicam monsters treated him and Grim, he managed to convince Crowley to give him 20% of the profits the academy earned during the event

Honestly he was so satisfied when they eventually got spooked out of the campus

He stayed in ramshackle for the rest of the event after that though

{ Ymir }

Wasn't present at the event

But even if he was, not much would've changed

The infirmary room was practically filled with injured students though

Freyah

Costume: Draculaura styled vampire

She was given permission to wear a costume that didn't coordinate with the rest of the dorm

Riddle and slight his favoritism for his family ig

At first, when everything went smoothly, Freyah didn't sense anything unusual

But then the magicam monsters happened

Due to her stature, many of them often mistook her for a prop in the botanical garden's cemetery

And some of them even went as far as to pull her hair and touch her in places she didn't feel comfortable with people touching

Once the magicam monsters left, she felt more at ease but still didn't feel fully comfortable due to her general cautiousness

Eventually she just couldn't handle it for much longer and ended up isolating herself in her room for most of the event until the plan to spook them away was in motion

Sis was having the time of her life scaring them after all the shit they put her through

Her smile and maniacal laughter was creepier than the acting her dormmates did

But her enthusiasm never faded and she continued to have a lot of fun within the Halloween event

{ Frisk }

Costume: Red and black corpse bride

She was somewhat excited for the event

Up until it actually happened

Social anxiety kinda makes her stiffen up with interacting with others and its really awkward to witness

Because of that, Riddle assigned Cater to help Frisk with that issue

Unaware that Cater actually has a cute lil crush on Frisk

It was all going smoothly, and Frisk actually got to know more about her crush thanks to that

But then the magicam monsters showed up and fucking ruined it

You thought how they treated Freyah was bad? Well it is, but holy shit one of the older men crossed a line with Frisk-

Talking with a 17 year old and sounding flirtatious with them is already a red flag

And especially when you start to grope their breasts and make an attempt to make it intimate

Of course there were good souls who helped get the man out and some even went as far as to comfort Frisk, possibly knowing how it felt to experience she could've went through

Because of that experience, Frisk mostly stuck with Riddle, Cater and Freyah for the rest of the event

They didn't mind, especially since she was almost sexually assaulted

Which also added fuel to the idea of spooking the magicam monsters out of NRC

Frisk wasn't exactly keen on the idea, but as long as she didn't need to speak, she's all good with it

When they finally left, Frisk felt so relieved and was able to let loose and have fun with her sister!

Of course Riddle and his overprotective self needed Cater to guard Frisk with his clones

{ Grey }

Costume: Pirate

Other than a certain Ignihyde student, Grey was also among the few who weren't as excited because she knew about how too much of a good thing can bring bad

Unfortunately, Leona and the rest of savanaclaw didn't take her words to seriously during the first few days

*insert Leona getting dropkicked*

My girl was never felt so smug up until the magicam monsters started looting the fake doubloons

Like: "HAH! TAKE THAT BITCH, I WAS RIGHT!"

But then her murderous aura returned when they started trying to pet Leona

Like-

Sir/Ma'am that is the second prince of the savannah, stay out-

Got reprimanded by Crowley after she beat their asses purely out of anger that they'd do that to her fiancé

It's all "I'm a bitch, not a monster" with those two, Istg-

She kept trying to keep her cool around the magicam addicts, but it was hard to when they kept stealing shit from their set and petting Leona

Grey was never so eager to scare people when Cater made the suggestion to spook them out

Apparently someone in savanaclaw told her that her laugh was perfect for the scare they were gonna do, so she just maniacally laughed like Midari Ikishima into a megaphone

Scared the living shit out of those magicam monsters and it felt so satisfying to witness

{ Nyx }

Didn't attend the event midway because one of the magicam monsters accidentally dropped a potion that turned her into a hamster

{ Lumina }

Costume: Witch

The original idea was for Lumina to act like a witch that turned scarabia into werewolves

And as lovely as the idea was-

Lumina wasn't the best at acting like a witch

Sis isn't good with acting when it doesn't involve her two faced shit

Her acting was choppy at first, but you could tell she was happy to be there even though Kalim was present

But boom, magicam monsters arrive and start throwing out the waffles Sam was selling after buying them

Which, wasn't the best idea since Jamil was starting to feel tempted to commit some ✨arson✨

And Lumina was tempted to wack all of them with her prop staff because like- it's a waste of good food

So when they eventually decided to scare off the magicam obsessed shits,

Lumina's acting as a witch drastically improved

Solely because she wanted to make sure they'd have nightmares for months

And boy, what a performance she delivered

Her voice was soft and typically calming, so it was fucking SCARY to see her maniacally laugh like a fucking psychopath

Jamil be like: I love you but please calm down-

{ Victoria }

Costume: Lady Dimitrescu

Now here's the thing-

Victoria was attending the event, up until the third day

She was invited to a Halloween party with her family and she wanted to go, so she got permission from Crowley to go home for the rest of the event

....

...... Low-key feeling like the magicam addicts would've stopped if she was still there

The women in NRC get shit done, so it's obvious that Victoria not being there means "yeah it's gonna take a long time before shit finally gets done"

When she came back it was all fine and dandy, but she was confused about the "magicam monsters" situation Rook mentioned

{ Azrail }

Ditched the event and slept in his room

{ Zenith }

Costume: Eastern dragon

Okay so ..... Much like Vic, Zen was attending the event up until the third day

So unfortunately for the members of diasomnia, their eccentric nymph (if he actually is a nymph) had to go to a party as Victoria's +1

Everyone agreed that the magicam monsters could've stopped sooner if Zen started threatening them

When they came back Zen was having the time of his life

But then they mentioned the magicam monsters situation and man's was all like: 😶😀 YIKES

Do you know or think any of the past Halloween events will rerun? Like “Terror is Trending” or “Spectral Soirée”? Cause I wanna know the plots of those and maybe play through them since I joined the game late, but I’m not sure if they’ll rerun at this point

I HOPE so, the second Halloween event is still probably my favorite! (it's just. peak non-main Twst content. everyone is so ridiculous and it's so delightful.) the way they've been doing it though has been to rerun the previous year's Halloween event and then the new one, so Eng probably won't be getting those first two events again anytime soon. :( if you're okay with just watching them for the story, your best bet is probably to look up a playthrough of them on YouTube. just make sure it has the ending rhythmics, they both had super cute ones!

Eng sometimes does things differently than JP though, and I think there's been a bit of an influx of new players to both versions lately? so one or both might decide to do a big rerun at some other point in the year! or they might just start rotating Halloween events or something now that they have four of 'em. :U I admit, I do kinda hope that they rerun just so I can try to get that ONE Scary Monsters card I'm missing...please Twst...I just need one more...
