For Tuna
Summary:Grim does some interviews to find the perfect sugar dad for him you gn!reader x all boys in one way or another.
A/N:I haven't unpacked my tag list yet, so hopefully this is everyone!
Part Two Part Three choose your ending...
"Grim, we can't afford the bougie tuna. Put it back."
You'd missed it before when you were loading your basket at Sam's shop, but Grim had snuck in the expensive tuna. Now you were at the counter, trying to hide your embarrassment as you told Grim to put it back. Sam gave you a sympathetic smile, but still. You didn't need to add his pity to your plate of worries.
"Prefect, don't worry about it. I can take care of it."
You jumped. You hadn't realized Ruggie had lined up behind you with his own basket full of stuff.
"Yeah! Let Ruggie-"
"I couldn't do that, Ruggie, but thanks for the offer."
Ruggie grinned, "oh please, it's on Leona. He said I could get whatever I want as long as I come back with his energy drinks."
You made an unconvinced face, and Ruggie gave a playful wink.
"Trust me, your tuna won't even make a dent in his wallet. I could pay for your entire load, and still be able to pay off my student loans. In fact," he slapped down Leona's wallet, "Sam, add Y/N's groceries to mine, I'll take care of it."
Before you could protest further, Sam was ringing you both up.
And then Grim got an idea. A terribly, wonderful, awful idea.
"There, all settled. Plus now you can afford to fix your windows this month, or…." He looked at the cash in your hand, "well you can fix one window at least. And don't feel too bad for Leona. Eat the rich and what not," Ruggie patted your back comfortingly then left with his groceries.
"C'mon Grimmy, let's go," you said with a heavy sigh.
"Actually, I have something to do, Henchhuman. You go on home, I'll see ya later."
"Okay, but if you need me…."
"I'll be okay! Geeze you get so anxious without the great Grim. It's embarrassing."
You rolled your eyes and left. You would be so proud of him once he had finished though. He was excited already.
Heartslaybul Dorm….
"Mr. Rosehearts. Thank you for meeting with me."
Grim primly took out his pen and began to scribble on a clipboard.
"I didn't meet with you. You barged into my office," Riddle said, his arms crossed along his chest.
"I think you will find this meeting beneficial. It pertains to Y/N L/N."
Riddle relaxed a little, and raised a single curious eyebrow.
"You see, It has come to my attention, that Y/N and I do not have the funds to live comfortably. In fact, Y/N is practically starving to death! It has also come to my attention that you harbor some feelings for the prefect, and are in possession of a great deal of funds. Now," Grim dramatically looked up at Riddle, who's face was a shade of dark red. "How do you intend to provide for Y/N?"
Riddle opened his mouth, and Grim prepared himself for the worst, but…
"Wait, Y/N's on the market?!?!!"
Grim turned over his shoulder just in time to see Cater run in, tea tray in hand.
"He's only taking applications from rich people."
"Not a concern, housewarden!" Cater cleared his throat. "Hi, I'm Cater Diamond, and my dad is a banker."
"Oh!" Grim made a note on his paper. Riddle stood up abruptly.
"You only talk to your family on holidays, I wouldn't call that a solid source of income-"
"Yes but I'm a people pleaser, so I'll probably follow in his footsteps. So I will also have a banker's salary."
Riddle turned to Grim in a panic.
"I'm going to be a doctor!"
"Oh!" Scribble scribble.
"Oh please!" Cater rolled his eyes before conspiratorially leaning into Grim. "We both know Riddle. He'll work long shifts, day in and day out, and he'll never come home. Meaning poor Y/N will be trapped in a lonely loveless marriage. Meanwhile, I'll work my nine to five, and be home in time to gift you tuna, and keep Y/N warm at night."
"You think Grim cares about that?" Riddle shoved Cater out of the way. "I'll make time for Y/N. Plus my salary will provide double the tuna for you."
"What's all the yelling about?" Trey entered the room, followed by Ace and Deuce.
"Don't look at them, those three are poor as fuck. I mean a baker? Blech, disgusting," Cater apologetically smiled at Trey. "No offense."
"What?" Trey said, feeling more confused than he ever had been.
Grim clicked his pen closed.
"Thank you for your time. I have more interviews to conduct, but I will be in contact if you get through to the second round."
He scampered out of the room as Riddle and Cater nodded after him.
Savannaclaw Dorm….
Grim sat at the foot of Leona's bed as he tapped his chin thoughtfully.
"How can I provide for Y/N, huh? You mean the little demonstration Ruggie gave this morning wasn't enough?"
Grim tapped the pen impatiently against the clipboard.
"Mr. Kingscholar, it is important that you participate fully, or I will remove you from the list entirely."
Leona groaned.
"I receive a….certain amount of, shall we say, an allowance."
"And how much can I expect from that? I have a lot of people to interview. Please don't waste my time."
Leona looked over at Ruggie, who was folding laundry, then gestured Grim closer, before whispering a number into his ear.
Grim gasped, then hastily scribbled something onto his clipboard.
"We will be in contact with you when the second round of interviews begins." Grim stood up and hopped off the bed.
"Ruggie," Leona snapped, "Ensure my future relative makes it out of here safely. Let no one stop you."
Ruggie nodded in understanding as he escorted a proud looking Grim out.
Once they were halfway through the dorm, Ruggie began to speak.
"Leona has promised me a job with an excellent salary once I graduate. Just sayin."
"Won't he just take back the job if he finds out you're competing with him?"
Ruggie rolled his eyes, "Nevermind."
Jack left his room, and noticed the two of them, and began to walk towards them.
"Jack will make you get a job if you pick him," Ruggie whispered hastily. Grim hissed and sprinted the rest of the way out of the dorm.
"What's wrong with Grim?" Jack asked.
"Shi hi hi who knows?"
As Grim made his way to his second location, he was picked up by the scruff of his neck.
"Hey! What's the big idea?!?!?"
"Aw little sealie you're so cute!"
Grim stiffened.
"Fu fu fu," Jade laughed next to him. "our boss would like to have a word with you."
Grim gulped.
Octavinelle Dorm….
"Thank you for agreeing to see me," Azul said smugly.
"I didn't. Your scary twins picked me up and dragged me here."
"You see," Azul pushed his glasses up his nose, expertly ignoring Grim, "We got word that you were interviewing potential candidates for Y/N's future husband. I prepared some charts for you."
Azul pulled out several charts. Grim understood exactly zero of them. But he nodded thoughtfully and pretended to make a note on his clipboard.
"As you can see, my income is projected to continually go up until retirement. Plus my assets will continue to be of value, and my investments will be bringing in money for many years to come. I can safely say, money is no object. Plus, I am an excellent cook. You will never have to eat poor person's tuna ever again."
Grim made a real note this time just as the twins roughly turned his chair around.
"Now that Azul has had his turn, we would like to give our pitch," Jade said with an eerie grin.
"You see, our parents run a certain…. organization," Floyd and Jade shared a grin before turning to Grim again. "Jade and I are the sole inheritors of this empire when they pass. Just keep that in mind."
"Also, people who oppose this organization have a tendency to, shall we say, disappear."
Grim shivered as he made a skull and crossbones picture on his clipboard.
"Awesome. Great. I'll be taking Grim now…."
"Sea Snake!" Floyd shouted, wrapping his arms around Jamil, who had silently snuck into the room.
"Let go," Jamil hissed, wriggling away from Floyd. "Give me the cat."
"Aw, but we were playing with him…."
"It's alright Floyd. I think the three of us have made our point quite clear," Jade hummed, before the octotrio shared a laugh.
Jamil rolled his eyes before carefully picking up Grim.
Scarabia Dorm….
"Look, Kalim isn't going to brag for himself so I thought I'd bring you here and remind you that this entire dorm was funded by his family. And he will be inheriting said funds."
Grim nodded and made a note.
"What about you? I mean, I already know you aren't getting picked cause, well, " Grim pointedly looked him up and down. "But the other broke losers have tried to participate."
Jamil leaned down and gave a dark smile.
"I don't need money to win over Y/N," eyes flashing red as he spoke.
"Monsieur Fuzzball!"
Grim and Jamil both groaned. It only took two seconds for him to be scooped up by the hunter.
"Non, non, do not struggle. I only wish to prove myself as a proper caretaker!"
Pomefiore Dorm…
Grim had never been so pampered, well fed, and relaxed in his entire life. Rook had provided snacks galore, given Grim the full on spa treatment, brushed out his fur, and was now massaging his sore kitty back.
"Monsieur Fuzzball, doesn't this feel wonderful?"
Grim nodded as Rook continued his massage.
"Just think, you could have this everyday!"
Grim groaned happily as Rook hit a tough knot.
Suddenly, Rook's voice was directly in his ear.
"All you have to do is give me the Trickster."
In that moment, Grim knew he would sell you for this life without a second thought.
But before he could do that…
"For heaven's sake I told you to find Epel, not this rodent!"
Rook immediately stopped the massage, to turn to his Queen.
"Roi du poison! I was simply-"
"Spare me," Vil snapped, before handing a struggling Epel over to Rook. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a small card, gracefully handing it to Grim between two fingers.
"I believe you are aware of my financial situation, but should you have questions, you can reach my manager on that card."
Then he left the room with a flourish, and the lingering scent of apple blossoms.
"You know I am willing to share the trickster with you," Rook whispered to Vil in the hallway.
"Ew," Epel groaned.
"As if I'd ever share," Vil smirked.
Outside the Ignihyde Dorm…
Ortho stood next to the tablet, holding Grin up so he could see what it said.
"So as  you can see from my bank account," Idia's voice said from the tablet, "Money is not and never will be an issue."
"It all looks good," Grim muttered as he made a note, "but I have to say it's a red flag that you couldn't come here in person…"
"Hey! Big brother is just busy with his experiment!"
"Yeah, exactly, thank you Ortho, for being the only one who appreciates genius. In fact this conversation is over. If he doesn't get it, then that's his loss. Ditch the noob, Ortho!" And the tablet floated back into the dorm.
Ortho gently set Grim down. "Look, big brother gets nervous around the prefect, that's all. But I think they'd make a great couple."
He gently patted Grim's head, then floated back in. Grim sighed, made a note about how Idia was a package deal, then continued to the final dorm.
Diasomnia Dorm…
"Small kitten, I am to be king of a country. Not only that, but I have spent centuries curating my hoard. Our nest will be always warm, and my perfect child of man will want for nothing," Malleus finished with a smug grin, as he leaned back in his throne. Then he sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Now you three can make your offers, or whatever."
"Me next! Me next!" Lilia said, cradling Grim like a baby. "I'm not as young as I look, and am on the best of terms with the queen and future king. I also have a great fortune built up! Kay, who's next?"
Silver timidly raised his hand.
"I just want to say, what about what Y/N wants? What if Y/N doesn't like any of us? What if Y/N doesn't even want to get married in the end? Or maybe they'll be just as happy with or without money?"
There was a long pause. Then…
"Silver's father is loaded and will do anything to see his children married and happy!"
"Fa-Lilia!" Silver hid his face in his hands in embarrassment.
"Same with Sebek. And his dad's a dentist!"
For once Sebek had nothing to say.
"Excellent, this looks very promising for you four," Grim nodded scribbling his final notes, "Now to-"
"GRIM!"
Uh oh. He turned around and saw you storming in.
"Child of man!"
"Save it Mal Mal! I'm here for my rat," You scooped up Grim, placing him under your arm as you left the room.
"When will we hear about the second round of interviews?" Lilia giggled.
You answered by flipping them the middle finger without looking back.
The Hallway….
"What the hell, Grim? I'm not for sale!"
"I'm not selling you! I'm just trying to get you provided for!"
"Please! This is about tuna and you know it!"
"Who even told you?"
"Jack called me about an-"
"Ah! Prefect!"
You and Grim groaned as you heard Crowley call to you both.
"Yes, headmage?" You asked through gritted teeth. You turned and saw Crewel was with him….wearing a bigger coat than normal.
"That coat looks so soft," Grim muttered.
"Yeah," you whispered back. "Wait, headmage, what do you need?"
"I heard your current allowance is no longer sufficient," he gently traced your jawline, settling below your chin, tapping up against it thoughtfully. "How does a little extra sound?"
You nodded dumbly.
"Good good, I'm too generous, I know," he hummed and walked off.
Before Crewel followed him, he smirked and patted the top of your head.
"Good pup."
He stalked off. You stood frozen for a moment. Grim smirked up at you.
"You know, they look like they…."
"You keep that thought to yourself, Grim."

Note
I had sort of a crack idea of what would the non-human twst boys do if their crush or s/o was allergic to them? Savanaclaw and Octonivelle with like the fur allergy and seafood allergy. Maybe diasomnia’s s/o has some sort of fairy allergy? Sorry if this is too silly for you to write, it’s alright if you don’t 😭
I LOVE THIS BECAUSE I'VE HAD A SIMILAR THOUGHT i'm allergic to cats and i'm like...man what am I gonna do around Grim BUAHAHA...this is a great idea. Nothing is too silly to write my friend!
Non-human Twst boys reacting to a S/O who is allergic to them!
featuring: Savanaclaw and Octavinelle!
general warnings: gender neutral reader, not really proof read \
TW: None! just fluff. and allergies.
Leona
The first time you sneezed around him, they didn't know it was literally BECAUSE of him. This was until you two took a nap together for the first time, and when you woke up he saw your face...Oh, brother. Your eyes were puffy and red, congested, and your nose leaked like nobody's business. He genuinely felt bad about this, but wouldn't let you in on his true feelings/emotions. Without understanding the cause (though he had an inkling) he immediately took you to the doctor.
"They're allergic to me? What kind of shitty nonsense is that?!"
Leona invested in the most expensive of healthcare for you. Allergy pills and whatnot, because he wasn't about to sacrifice his lovely naps with his significant other. No amount of allergy is gonna stop him from getting what he wants, and that is your affection.
Ruggie
"Sooo...basically you're saying you're allergic to me? Cause' im part heyena?"
"It's a little more complicated than that. It's more like...animal dander? I guess?" You didn't seem to certain in your answer either, it was more or less a guess since...well, there wasn't half beast half human where you are from. You can only make an educated guess on why you're so allergic to him based off of the information you had back at home.
Ruggie is honestly so sad about this. He can't afford to get you any treatments or medical help with this, so you two just have to be careful. He does manage to get his hands on some special washing products (probably legally) and takes extra care of what he eats, and how clean he his. He's consistently brushing his hair and cleaning his ears.
"Man i'm such a simp. What's wrong with me?!" ...He isn't used to bending backward for people. But seeing you so sick around him, hurt him even more than his pride, so he of course would do anything to make sure you're as comfortable around him as possible. Ahh...the power of love <3
Jack
He gives me the "I must stay away from you for your own good," Type. Although this doesn't last very long. Jack is incredibly loyal, and he's far too attached to let you go. There's times where he would try and keep a distance (much to your annoyance), but when you began sneezing and itching your eyes you knew he was somewhere nearby. Jack is protective like that, but it pains his heart to see you so sick because of something he cannot control.
He does both a mix of what Ruggie and Leona does. He took up extra part-time jobs to afford good allergy medication for you, the entire works. Pills, eye drops, nasal sprays, breathing treatments...He also invests in high-quality shampoo and conditioner to help rid of his dander and hopefully reduce the amount of shedding he has.
With the amount of hair Jack has, he is CONSTANTLY brushing it and it is CONSTANTLY shedding. He does EVERYTHING under the sun to control this, all for you. Although... this is a partnership! You told him that a relationship goes two ways. You love him regardless of how itchy you may get, and you equally chip in to problem-solve.
You're both loyal to each other until the very end, no matter what trivial matters may get in your way <3
Azul
He knew before you two started dating that you had a severe allergy to seafood, so he made it a point to avoid you. But...that didn't stop YOU from coming to HIM. It was one of the things that drew him towards you, the way even though you were gaining a rash you would still wrap your arms around the back of him. Although it wasn't as bad in his human form, he was always terrified what would happen if he were to unleash his original form.
But worry not! We are talking about the literal king of potionology. He finds a remedy very quickly, and you trust him...a little too fast. He is astonished when he says;
"Take this...the second you drink this your allergies will be something of the past. But be warned-" You grabbed it out of his hand and chugged it. He stared at you with his jaw slacked open, his face turning a deep shade of hot red when you throw yourself onto Azul and place a big fat kiss against his cheek.
He imploded. But hey! his potion worked! He tried to get you to give him some sort of paypack, but you mentioned that your form of payment was in that kiss.
He now demands kisses every time he makes the potion for you <3 It's kind of a silent agreement. He just stares at you after you're done drinking it, and whenever you feign ignorance the point upon his lips is far too obvious.
Jade
The first time you broke out in hives, he remained completely calm. Jade is rather smart, and he understands your allergy must be because of his disposition as a mer-folk. Although in human form, he couldn't help but notice the way you would hide your rashes either behind makeup or by bulking clothing. He was amused by this for a moment, but when he saw it worsen he couldn't help but become worried.
"Why would you go so far for me? what do you gain by allowing yourself to become sick?" When you replied with a blush that you simply liked Jade, thus his shock soon turned into action. He excused himself for a few days to climb mountains and collect the most effective of flowers and medicinal remedies for allergies and put together a potion that you were able to take to alleviate your symptoms.
He isn't the vice house warden for nothing! His talents and magic prowess truly aided him, albeit in a way that was seemingly selfish. It was all worth it for you, though.
But he does use you as an example during a class project in potionology, having you stand up in front of the class while he compares your allergies before and after taking the potion.
He got a 100% in the project. And a Significant other. A win-win for everyone!
Floyd
Floyd is much smarter than he lets on. The moment he hugs you from behind and touches your arm, he notices the rash right away. He eyed it with a frown, and without saying anything he let go of you much to your dismay, leaving you to your lonesome for a few days on end.
You had to admit you missed Floyd, his silly jokes and way of talking, his unpredictable personality, and the attention he would often give y you. While sitting at the table during a free period, your head was propped up against your hand and a sad sigh escaping your lips.
"Ehhhh? Why is shrimpy sitting here all alone? Didya miss me?" A familiar voice teased as arms wrapped around you and something akin to a vegetable drink set in front of you. You gasped and smile up at the tall male, who wasn't wrapping his arms around you as you were used to, typically ignoring the itching of your rashes. He convinced you to drink what he sat in front of you, and although you eyed it with suspicion, you sighed and drank it in one gulp and tightly shut eyes.
Nothing happened. You turned to look over at Floyd, about to question the purpose of making you drink the (surprisingly tasty) smoothie-like liquid but were quickly interrupted by lips pressing against your own.
The kiss caught you off guard and you began to panic, talking about your allergy...before you realized that nothing was happening. No rash, no itchiness, nothing.
"Seeeee? It's a potion. I made Azul make it for me. Now I can touch you as much as I want," He smiled proudly. However he managed to convince Azul would forever be beyond you...
He forgets to give you the potion sometimes, only when you two are cuddling and a rash or itching pops up do the both of you realize it's time for a dose.
Ya'll are so silly for each other <3

As Lovers Go
Malleus Draconia x Reader
Summary: It may not be as grand as royalty is used to, but you do your best to plan a special night for Malleus on his birthday.
something short i scrambled together for my best boy, happy birthday malleus 🫶🫶
“Admittedly, it took some help from Trey to convince Riddle, but I like to think I did most of the work,” you say, leading Malleus by hand into the garden. “Okay, you can open your eyes.”
He blinks a couple times, but adjusts quickly to the nighttime lighting, surveying the scene. You’re in the Heartslabyul gardens, surrounded by red rose bushes on all sides. You’ve stopped in a small, clear area of grass where you’ve prepared for the night, a checkered blue picnic blanket laid out.
“Surprise! I know it’s not exactly a party, but hopefully my company will be enough to satisfy you…”
“When you’ve had over a hundred birthdays, parties begin to become monotonous. I much prefer your quiet company, tonight.”
You smile at Malleus. Even when the night’s about him, he always finds a way to make you feel special. “I hope you like the spot I chose. I know it must be hard being away from Briar Valley and your grandmother during the school year, so I thought I’d try to bring a little bit of home to you with the roses.”
“Thank you, truly.” Malleus turns to gaze around the garden, suddenly catching your hand in his own, running his thumb over your knuckles. “I do hope I’ll have a chance to show you my garden at home. I promise, nothing compares to the sight. Except for you, perhaps.”
“You’re too much, sometimes,” you giggle.
“If I am, do you not believe it is you who inspires such feelings in me?” Malleus teases.
The two of you take a seat on the blanket, talking and staring up at the stars as the night continues. The moonlight shines down on Malleus, making his dark hair shimmer and his skin glow. He’s never looked so beautiful.
“So, are you ready to open your gift now?”
He gives you a look. “I believe I mentioned no present was necessary. I only wanted your company.”
“I know, I know, but I wanted to do something.”
“You’re far too gentle with me. I suppose I’ll have to indulge you then.”
You grin and pull a gift bag out of your tote, handing it over to him. He settles it in front of him, pulling purple tissue paper out of the bag until his gift is revealed.
Malleus pulls out a white knit hat. He shifts to turn it around in his hands, smoothing over the fabric until his fingers run into a hole, popping out the other side.
“Oh yeah, it has holes. Y’know, for your horns.”
He stares at you in wide-eyed silence for a few moments. You break eye contact when it finally begins to feel a bit awkward.
“I know it’s not much, sorry.” You look down at your feet. “It’s just, Crowley only gives Grim and I enough for groceries and essentials. And Lilia only told me your birthday was coming up a couple weeks ago, so I begged Azul to let me pick up some shifts at the lounge, and long story short, I really only earned enough to buy some yarn. It’s super nice though, I promise! I made sure to pick yarn that-”
You’re cut off when you’re suddenly pulled firmly into a strong chest, arms squeezing you tightly.
“I will treasure it as I have treasured nothing else. Thank you.”
You smile, despite the fact that you can’t breathe well in his intense grip. You pat on his arms gently so Malleus will loosen up a bit.
“I’m glad you like it.” When he pulls away, you turn toward the cooler you’d set out with all the treats you’d prepared for him. “Now, what would you like to try first? I got Trey’s help with preparing the frozen desserts, since I thought you might like to have a variety. Oh, maybe cake first? You haven’t made a wish yet and the clock is ticking!”
“If it pleases you, then I will try the cake.”
“Great, it’s ice cream cake.”
You take it out of the box, laying it in front of Malleus and removing the container’s lid.
“May I inquire as to why a piece is missing?”
“Well…you said you hate entire cakes, so I took out a piece. Now it’s not an entire cake. Hopefully you’re in the mood to share a bit more with me tonight? I find even the sweetest things are best enjoyed with company,” you wink at him.
“Are you sure you won’t become too spoiled with all these indulgences I allow you?” He picks up a fork and takes a bit of cake, but he doesn’t taste it as you expect.
“No, but feel free to keep trying,” you mumble through the mouthful of cake Malleus feeds you. “Wait, I have candles. You have to make your birthday wish before we have anymore.”
You set three candles in the centre of the cake. It would be ridiculous to have a hundred, as much as you wish to be accurate to his age. You light them with a lighter, insisting on singing ‘happy birthday’ to Malleus before finally allowing him to make his wish.
“Blowing out fire with my breath instead of creating it with my breath. How amusing, you’ll have to teach me even more of these human customs.”
“What did you wish for?”
He tilts his head. “Am I mistaken in believing humans have customs that suggest it’s bad luck to ask?”
“No, but I’m nosy, so tell me anyway.” You tug gently on his sleeve.
“I only wished for things to continue as they are.”
“That’s all? You don’t want anything new?”
“What do I have to wish for? Everything I’ve always wanted, the thing I used to wish for each year - is already in front of me.”
The two of you talk until the sun comes up, upon which Malleus carries your snoring form home to Ramshackle, a smile lingering on his face from the previous night.

Platonic Yandere!Batman x gn!Reader
Purge AU. Info on au. You receive your official government letter announcing a yandere's claim on you in tomorrow's Purge. Accompanying it are five crimson letters from the yanderes themselves. ~600 words
Dear [Name],
I want to take this first encounter to assuage your fears—you are in no danger.
The fear you must be feeling might be the most dreadful you’ve ever experienced, and I’ll forever regret it. While the monotonous bureaucracy of the Purge is taxing on everyone, it’s a necessary evil… Inside this letter, you’ll receive what brief explanation I can give you and, hopefully, comfort you in some capacity.
[Name], I’m your father, and this letter is my official and legal introduction. In the next 24 hours, I and your siblings will bring you home.
You don’t know this yet, but we met on a moonless evening many months ago. You were walking alone, trying to leave the emptying streets before Gotham’s evening crowd took hold of the city. I worried for you and decided to keep a close eye until you were home safely, but something about your demeanor kept my attention. How polite and unassuming, yet quick to navigate the streets you were. You drifted through the evening like a wayward spirit, eventually finding yourself in my heart and soul.
That chance encounter sent us spiraling down a destined path, one in which I never anticipated would lead to here. I never realized the grim darkness I had been living in until I experienced your light, and now, the day before our first meeting as father and child, the promise of eternal contentedness just beyond these 24 hours is almost too much to bear.
Your brothers and sisters are equally ecstatic. You’ll never be bored for a moment in your life moving forward, as the halls of our home are always thrum with the echoes of banter and excitement. I can’t promise it will be an easy life free from any sorrows, but your new family already loves you so, so dearly.
In time, I’m confident that you, too, will reflect on this event as the start of a better life.
However perfect your joining our family seems, I find myself asking how it came to this. How did I discover a soul as kind and lovely as yours? Despite all my failures and shortcomings, the world still crossed our paths and sent the merger of our lives into motion.
As a servant of justice, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting what is moral and just. I’ve spent decades refining my values and priorities, yet this has often left me at fragile crossroads between myself and my children.
I’m flawed. I’m imperfect. I don’t think I’ll ever be worthy of being your father. I need you to know these things before we meet, to save yourself from the inevitable misfortune that will strike us. Yet know this: there is not a force in this world that will keep me from you. I love you more than I love humanity, more than the Earth itself. I would defy the laws that govern the universe if it meant seeing you happy.
The world is dangerous and unpredictable. However inadequate I feel at protecting your light, I know you’re significantly more likely to fade from existence outside of my care.
To receive a crimson letter from the city a day before the Purge might be one of your darkest nightmares, and for that I’m sorry. With my heart, soul, and all my love for you, I promise to rectify the misery you and your biological family are experiencing. Please take comfort in the fact that you will be the most beloved and cherished person in the world.
I will give you everything. For your family’s sake, I hope they can rest easier with this knowledge.
Please remain put until we arrive.
See you soon.
Love,
Dad
Note... I love this self-hating old man. Damian's is finished and will be up soon! For more yandere batfam, visit my masterlist!

Tumblr media
Twisted wonderland cast realizes that (Yuu) is a girl.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 Featuring: Lilia - Kalim and Jamil - Vil, Epel and Rook
Tumblr media
- See you tomorrow! - I waved the ghosts at the cafeteria. "Yass pay day as come again!" I cheered with myself making my way to the dorm. The corridor was empty except for a student a little far, walking in my opposite direction.
All of a sudden he slowed down and started to wobble. I rushed as fast as I could catching him just in time. - Uff - he fell face front in my arms, and I stumbled a little, needing to pull my all strength to support his limp body. - mmmm - he fought the dizziness but his lids refused to stay open slowly covering his lilac irises. - I'll bring you to the infirmary ,... - - Mmmm, no infirmary...father. - - Ehm... Maybe not? - I chuckled - Poor thing... I'm afraid is going to be quite difficult bringing you home fast enough. - and I tried position him better for the carrying.
- Smell...good - Did he just nuzzled in my chest???? - Ha ha ha... l-let's go you need some sugar in your system. - if I was lucky enough, his brain was too turned off to... - mmmm...Why are you a girl? - never mind.
- Is the feeling of dizziness getting better? - I asked dismissing, but no responses came out. - Damn it!!! He passes out. - and while dragging him I searched in every pocket anything that could've help. - Diasomnia eh? Can you tell me your name? - but again nothing - Uff we are almost *gnh there - I dragged us resisting his full weight.
---
When I arrived, the stuff helped me carry him to bed and informed me of his predicament. Apparently he was often found sleeping around. - So it's rather narcolepsy then dizziness ... Dang it must be hard. - Sitting on his bed I tried to talk testing if he was there.
Looking down his pretty sleeping face, I hummed a little tune from back home, inspired by his predicament - 🎶 I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream, I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam... 🎶 - -... Thank you...princess Aurora. - he murmured, held out weakly his hand to then falling down brushing my arm in the trajectory.
*girly squeaks I got up covering my red face. - Is he awake? - came back one of the nurses. I shook my head and ran passed them - Thank you for your work, please take care of him I'm going to inform his dorm mates. - I quickly dismissed myself.
---
The only person I found in Diasomnia's lounge was a green haired boy seemingly able to only communicate with screams. He started from the moment he lent eyes on me and continued till we parted ways.
- Goodness... I'm going to lay down myself... It was exhausting. - hopefully sleeping beauty in the confusion would forget about our encounter.
Swimwear fiasco
- Oasi maker! - exclaimed Kalim. - Come on (Yuu) let's enjoy the water!- encouraged the bubbly boy. - Oh no I... Can't.- I sat on the border enjoying the coolness with my feet . After the exhausting week, it would've been a blessing, but no.
- But you said you love swimming...- - I did... But I'm... very tired from all the training we did, I'll just stay here for a while...- - But water is very helpful! It relaxes all your muscles. - he insisted. - Koebi-chaan... Let's go in the water. You'll make the baby otter cry. - teased Floyd, knowing Exactly why I didn't want to swim. - I-I don't even have swimwear. I can't. - - Y-yeah exactly Floyd don't insist, sh..he can't ha-ha.- laughed Azul awkwardly realizing the predicament of me in a swimsuit.
- Don't worry prefect! - smiled brightly Kalim taking his thumb and middle finger together. - Here you...- - NO!!! - I quickly stood up, but my protest came late. * snap Red swim boxers with flames lay lower than my navel, showing off my narrower waist. The tight sports bra that flatted my chest was now on display.
Azul shrieked and covered his eyes immediately, his face redder than his sunburn. Floyd and Jade instead watched all too attentively with wide grins. Grim started to laugh at my, once again, involuntary revealing, Jamil backened in disbelief and completely flustered covered his eyes like the Octavinelle's head.
Kalim directly in front of me, was staring, his brain fused and mouth half agape. - Sigh... Don't be so shocked, I'm not naked.- and I grabbed my shirt from the boy's hand. - Come on, you're all reacting like you've never seen a girl in your life. - and then I mumbled - I'm not even that good-looking.- - Awwww that's not true Shrimpy,...*uf why already covering? - lamented Floyd. - HORNY JAIL FOR YOU!- I snapped.
- B-b-b since...when? Y-you ...I - Kalim became a mumbling mess. - Oh you know, it's the cold water. - I joked (with myself because nobody knew about Ranma 1/2). - For real??? - exclaimed hin, incapable of understanding sarcasm. - No...No darling, since the first day here, I've always been a girl, but Crowley asked me to hide it. - and then I mumbled - It's harder than I thought keeping this a secret.-
- Excuse me on the name of Kalim. - intervened Jamil still not looking at me from embarrassment. - I'M SO SORRY (YUU). - cried the boy with open arms, he was going for his usual hugs but stopped unsure. I smiled and closed the gap to squeeze and pat his back. - Don't worry I'm not mad, fortunately, it all turned out...decently - at least I wasn't naked - Only thing I ask of you, don't tell anyone, plz...and By the by... Now I can swim! -
- NOOO!!!- protested Azul turning into an even deeper shade of red. - YEES!!! - exclaimed instead Floyd and Kalim, the kid quickly recovering from the shock. - Tho I can't give you the clothes...my magic is not that good- muttered soon after. - Ah, no no I can go like this! Sure is a bit stuffy but it can work. - - (Yuu), I can procure you proper wearing if you want. - invited Jade with an evil smile. - Nah, thx - - To excuse Kalim's action I can provide something if you want. - proposed Jamil recalling what his sister usually wore. - Mmm okay thank you - he for sure was a safer choice.
---
We enjoyed the water for a while till I heard someone screaming out of breath from afar. - Hm? Someone's running from across the desert. - I looked where Grim was pointing and saw my favorite bromance. - Heeeey prefect, Griiim - - Are you guys alive? - Deuce was ready to throw fists. - Hey guys! What happened to you? Decided to come back ear... - - Whaddya mean " What happened to us"? What the hell happened to you? - Angrily inquired Ace. - As soon as we got your "We're locked up in Scarabia" message...-
- Oh right! I'm so sorry guys Grim suggested to contact you but after we were so caught up with the all thing...Tho... Awww you were worried about us? You're such good friends!... Ace, only sometimes. - - WHAAAT? We freaking public transported to here! The mirror warp is not opened yet. -
- It seems you solved the situation well. I'm glad you are... - Deuce noticed my garments. - So... They found out too eh?- inquired Ace. - Come on come on! - I grabbed their hands dismissing quickly the topic - the water is so good, you came all the way here, now relax and I'll fetch'ya with ALL the dits. - - Swimsuit...- the raven head short-circuited looking vacant before him. - Yeah, I'm going to take a good soak, but I need more than relaxing. You better prepare a cocktail for all the scare you gave us. - - Perfect! Kalim, can you do the *snap on them?- I shouted.
To be young
- But I thought you didn't bring a swimsuit (Yuu). - asked the ghosts. I groaned in response and stayed behind to admire the winter wonderland. - Gyahahhahaa, she didn't but...- and the cat started narrating my misadventure.
- Oooh would you look at that? So you have finally come back - in front of my face, a boy with black and pink hair flew upside down in the air. - Whaaa! You scared the crap outta me! - then I looked at his face better and snapped repeatedly my fingers - What was your name....- - I'm...- - No no no! Wait. I have it...- - Fufufufu suit yourself. - he shrugged - You're a curious thing indeed...Not only you managed to catch his attention, but you're also an infiltrated girl. - smiled chuckling. - Aaaand here goes my identity again. -
With his face so close I got a little star-struck and absentmindedly I muttered - Big eyes, pointy champers, always upside down, great hearing,... You truly are like a pretty bat... LILIA! YESSS I knew I remembered! - I held my fist victorious.
He flinched - That's...- and then exploded in a long laugh lowering to the ground - Why yes-and-thank -you! - he closed the distance again, his face inches from mine - You're quite the charmer. - He lightly gasped - Uh boy! Perhaps you may be...his first crush? - and his expression turned into a teasing grin. - Wha...?- - Awww to be young,... Here, I've come to deliver a holiday card addressed to you from a certain individual. I wonder if he knows you're a girl...- and he passed me the envelope closed by a golden sigil.
- A certain individual... - the only Diasomnia kid I knew was Tsunotaro. - M.D...- I glared at the card in search of answers, Lilia looking expectingly. - He was sulking since he wasn't invited to any holiday parties this year. - - Oh really? I hope he'll spend a wonderful vacation either way, but next time we prepare something I shall invite him. Tho... He has you right?- He smiled warmly and nodded - Yes we kept him company, but I think he will appreciate your sentiment. - I nodded looking again at the message.
- Ah-ha! Of course M.D: My Dearest! - I translated - Awww that's cute, send him my gratitude, he's dear to me as well... Tho I'm still not sure we are talking about the same person...-
He laughed at my expenses for 5 minutes straight.
Femboy
- I think you can see it well from him. - lectured Vil to the rebellious kid. - Tho still a bit of a potato, but he has embraced his cuteness with both masculine and feminine traits. - - W- wait... are you talking about me? - I finally realized. - Who else, manager? - - I... well, you see...- - Schoenheit-senpai the prefect is not...- - That... Feminine. - interrupted Ace before Deuce could spill the secret to yet another person. With all those people finding out, he had forgotten about his promise.
"Dang,... If I tell those two now..." but my thoughts got interrupted. - I think a practical demonstration would be the best solution to get through this thick head of his.- Epel's brows twitched, he didn't seem much inclined to the idea and found a way to change the topic.
---
- And now? What should I do? - I asked Rook. - How would Epel react after seeing that my "femininity" is in fact there because I'm a woman? - - Mmm, I see,...it is quite troublesome.- he took a hand under his chin.- You could reverse the perspective, Trickster! - and pointed back at me. - ...- - I did't doubt you being a boy the first time I saw you, and the others too. - Apperentely curious of our interest he made his research (stalking) and he had confessed his discovery when my friends asked to apply to the selection.
"Aaaah so you are not applying Trickster? I guess it's unfortunate but inevitable. After all, you couldn't risk your identity being revealed in the presence of the other academies."
- Mmmmm... So like, emphasize that I'm a manly girl? - - ...Not exactly what I meant, but yes. You're remarkably beautiful in disguise and not.- - At...well. Wow, thank you! I guess,...uff wow... it's going to be my first time willingly revealing my secret then. - I exclaimed closing the conversation fast to hide my rosy cheeks.
---
- See you this evening! - I saluted. - Have fun, but be there on time for preparing dinner, okay manager? - inquired Vil. - Don't worry (Yuu), today I'll help you too so you can arrive a little later. - reassured Epel. - Sweet ~ Thank you so much I really appreciate it! -
- Where are you going (Yuu)? - came after me Kalim. - Shopping! Cater has been asking me to go for a while - Since the tie accidental reveal, the third year had been throwing "girly" dates ideas from time to time - So today the cash from my shifts is going to be put to good use... On myself! And dorms fixing obv. - since m'y interlocutor seemed giddy I asked - Do you wanna join? - - YES...- - I'm afraid no Kalim. - inquired Jamil. - You have been neglecting your study for long enough using training as an excuse. We need to make up for lost time. -
- Ack... Sorry love - I pet his white hair, the poor Scarabia's leader totally drained from enthusiasm. - Please tho, take some rest you all! You too Jamil! - - Bye (Yuu) have a nice day. - waved me off with a smile the Vice dorm leader. - Byeee thank you too! -
-...something like that, you know? - I explained my plan to Cater while ogling the shop windows. - I like the idea very much and I'll help you for sure! - he winked - I'm so happy you accepted! When we'll be back, I'll show Trey some peeks of our date juust to tease him. He's going to be so jealous! - he smiled mischievously pulling already his phone out. -Hahahaa what are you talking about? Don't be silly. - I shook my head - But yes! If you could lend a hand I would reeeally appreciate it.-
---
The day passed by smoothly and after some last touches of light makeup at Heartlabyul, I was ready to put my plan in motion.
I entered the door and greeted everyone with nonchalance. - Hii (Yuu)...Wooow! Your shopping went well! - gawked Kalim. - Hahahaha thank you! Pretty neat yeah? Cater is a good consultant I have to admit it. - - You look good, the jacket is dope! - Epel's ruder self slipped out but Vil's glare was an immediate shut down. - Wanna try? - I tugged the collar. He nodded and I slipped off the piece to rest it on his shoulder.
A minute of silence broke down.
Under the masculine attire, I wore a fitting cropped corset, hugging nicely my body and emphasizing my feminine features. -..but..you..- Epel blushed then frowned. Many things ran through his head. Kalim was going to cover me but I quickly stopped his track with a reassuring smile. Behind him Ace threw a teasing roll of his eyes. Meaning: show-off. Deuce blush inevitably came out and Jamil was the most flustered of them all. He was still recovering from the swimwear trauma. Vil on the other hand, after the first surprise, soon ricomposed himself. He knew what transsexuality was after all. - Magnifique, ça donne beaucoup - admired Rook.
- I have some explaining to do. Sorry that I never told you I'm a girl. - I confessed looking down at Epel, flustered and betrayed at the same time. I explained the all Crowley ordeal and my motives - I know I could've just stayed silent, but it didn't sit right to me. Especially when Vil's point seemed completely contradicted by the reality. But Rook... - - *Sigh, of course, you knew - commented Vil. - ...told me I could make the same point out of my situation. I hope it reached, but mostly, I hope we can still be friends. - and I surpassed him with a pat on the shoulder. - Do you wanna help? - and after a bit of pondering the boy silently nodded.
- I... Don't know what's right and I am not truly sure how to face this, but I want to be friends. - spoke after we finished. - Good! I'm glad. - and he went out to settle the table.
- Now I understand why you didn't even try the audition. - Vil posed at the entry. - Yep. The headmaster prohibited too much "exposure" especially for an event that invites all the other Academies. - He nodded. - The attire suits you, by the way, it makes you look handsome. - and he left. "VIL SHONEHEIT THINKS I'M HANDSOME."
And Rook looked in nodding with a closed eye smile.

The pairing of the names Kalim+Jamil is so amusing to me, and I always mix them up. (Jalim, Kamil) The ship is so strong it comes naturally.

leaving on wild charted waters
(what if our mc just got tired of Night Raven College and it’s inhabitants?)
(and possible part 2)
It got to the point where you have simply just had it, you were done with the antics of Night Raven College and most especially Headmaster Crowley, whom is apparently so kind, so but so kind in fact that he’s been leaving you to do his job. In the end after the last overblot you ended up with a broken arm, a few small yet painful stitched up lacerations on your side aching your body to the bone, and a broken heart.
Your heart just can’t take anymore of the neglect and ache from the headmaster as well as seeing overblot after overblot consistently during your stay in this strange world. Ace and Deuce didn’t help make this entire experience any better with the trouble their actions caused, and as much as you loved Grim he wasn’t exactly the greatest either but you knew that in Grim’s case you’d always see him try to help you out at some point in every day you were together unlike others around.
So now here you were taking the next boat from NRC to the infamous RSA, Royal Sword Academy. You weren’t sure if they were going to enroll you in there as well but you were a bit more positive that there would’ve been a likelier chance of effort in getting the help to get back home.
The breeze of the sea ran through your hair as you watched Night Raven College slowly but surely fade farther and farther away, and even so you could still see the face of your beloved fiery cat that you already miss so dearly even while sailing across the sea. Although you will miss a few of your classmates and friends, you knew that this was better than staying there only to eventually become incapacitated or killed.
You wondered if anyone would miss you, scoff and say ‘good riddance’, or not have any particular feeling or reaction.
Maybe a bit surprised..
Especially since you haven’t told anyone but your beloved cat and childish headmaster that you were currently off at sea at a new opportunity.
You knew there already was a chance at Grim spilling the secret so soon, and you had an idea that Crowley would either be incredibly vague about it or just flat out say it.
Nonetheless you knew it’d get out at some point.
You didn’t want to tell anyone you’d be back but then again you didn’t want to lie and then never come back either.
“On your way to visit RSA my friend?” A voice popped out from behind you as you were looking off at the endless blue which caused you to jump a bit and snap your head over your shoulder.
A young man of fair skin, bright candy red hair that reached down the nape of his neck and eyes with the same shade of blue as the sea you were facing at earlier. He has a gentle smile on his face with genuine curiosity sprawled out on his features as well.
“Ah.. hello- yes I’m currently on my way to visit RSA..” you spoke as you turned your body towards the boy “You are?..”
“Oh, my apologies!” the redhead spoke “You can call me Rielle my friend, and you are?” “My name is ______,” you looked down quickly at his outfit to see him wearing RSA’s posh white uniform with accent of blue and gold, except the sleeves of his uniform were up his elbows and the jacket was freely open. “Seems like you're from the academy yourself, Rielle.”
He chuckled as he walked beside you to then relax his arms up on the edge of the boat to look out at the sea “No kidding!” he joked as stared off at the sea, a look of familiarity on his face.
You looked at him with a small smile then the sea before you heard your new redhead speak again “If you don’t mind me asking ______, what are you going to RSA for? Are they still enrolling during the school season?”
You shook your head “Not exactly.. I’m not sure. I’m just looking for a way home..” you sighed as you let out your sentence. “Hopefully your school will be able to help me out here, something Night Raven couldn’t do.”
Riel looked at you with a look of pity, not a bad kind but more of a ‘I want to help you’ kind of way. “I see.. I apologize you haven’t been able to make it to your home, my friend..” he paused before he then shined a comforting smile towards you “But hey! Nothing to fear, we’ve got some of the best mages and wish-granters in RSA as well! I’m sure we’ll get more than a few clues to get you back home.” Rielle spoke with such positivity and confidence that you couldn’t help but smile as much as he was.
“Very well then, I guess we just have to wait and see.”

Various Predators x Predator! Reader (IV)
@avaleigh16 asked (a very long time ago, sorry for the wait!!) for a fourth part to the Predator saga, where Reader is brought to Yautja Prime. Therefore I bring a potential sequel that focuses on Predator culture, depending on who you’ve chosen as your partner!
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Horror Masterlist]
Tumblr media
Feral Predator
As promised, your new home didn’t stray much from your expectations. Feral Predator is from a different hemisphere, of a drier climate. The imposing, sprawling megalopolis of Yautja Prime is but a distant outline, fading before the marvels of raw, unforgiving nature this place has to offer. Tribal architecture and interminable tunnels are the prominent features of these ancient cities. One has no need for advanced technology. In a way, it does remind you of Earth, of your modest countryside roots. Communities are made of small family units, so days are spent hunting or training in the company of your partner. Feral Predator is a patient and caring father, guiding his offspring and showing them the ropes of survival. There will be frequent visits to Earth as he, too, favors its wilderness, especially when it comes to honing one’s skills. While he treats you as an equal, he does hold you in significantly high regards as the mother of his children.
Elite Predator
With great status comes great responsibility. Elite Predator has been eyeing the Elder status for some time now, in order to provide you with one further reason to be grateful for choosing him. That implies, naturally, that he is often on special missions to teach or rescue Young Bloods, or clear out Alien infestations. Your offspring will go through Spartan training as soon as they can crawl their way around: it would be shameful if his own younglings end up weak or devoid of skill. Although he does not worry about such outcome. He hasn’t picked you out of random chance. Only someone of his level could’ve made it as his mate, and he was certain of it from the moment he saw you. Hopefully you, too, can tell that this outcome was fated to happen. You most certainly won’t regret your life with him, he will make sure of that.
Fugitive Bad Blood
If you were hoping for an idyllic, peaceful life in a humble hut with ocean view, I have some bad news for you. Even settling on Yautja Prime is an optimistic stretch when your partner is a criminal on the run. You’ve unwillingly followed in the footsteps of your parents, watching your child grow from within the confinements of a ship, sailing through space with no ultimate goal. Not all is grim, however. Despite his ruthless nature, the Fugitive has kept his word when it comes to being a fitting partner for you. Your wish is his command and he will not allow anything endanger his family. To your great shock, he’s even willing to take risky detours on Earth whenever you feel particularly nostalgic. He will stare at you incredulously; why the hell would he have gone through all the efforts to court you if he didn’t want you as a partner? Have you forgotten who you’re dealing with already? Whatever your heart desires, he will make it possible.
Berserker
The Super Predator cannot wait for his younglings to be old enough to begin their hunt. He lives to kill and one can easily tell from his impressive collection of trophies he has gathered from all across the Universe. Truth be told, you’re somewhat afraid to see the outcome of your copulation. Berserker Yautja are much larger and much more aggressive than your species. You’d assumed his first choice for a mate should’ve been from his own kind, but for reasons unknown he’s preyed on you instead. The Berserker seems to have a fervent attachment towards you and will even growl at his own sucklings if they show any sign of disrespect. There’s not much space for freedom and sometimes you feel like you’re trapped under the suffocating affections of a savage animal ready to defend its territory. From his point of view, you should enjoy the privilege of belonging to the superior Predator. There’s no one out there that could go against him.

sit on my lap & do my eyeliner
Genre/Tropes: SIT ON MY LAP AND DO MY EYELINER!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it.
Summary: Ruggie Bucchi sits on your lap and fixes your eyeliner before your second year orientation ceremony.
Author's Comments: Based on home screen dialogue because uhhhh I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately!!! (It's his ceremonial robes, he mentions doing makeup as a side job and I was like oh?) Also Leona finally graduated!!! Everyone say yaaay!!
~~~~~
You never thought you’d find yourself wearing the ceremonial robes that you’d met everyone else in. You never thought you would have ended up staying another year at Night Raven College, but Crowley had yet to find a way to send you home so you were stuck. In these robes.
You’d always thought they were pretty. Wearing them now, however, you finally felt the weight that Ace often complained about. Deuce had helped you with the belt as Ace whined in the background, his hands working quickly so as not to lose time. At least you three had wrestled Grim into his first, since he was definitely the more problematic of you two when it came to wearing required garments. If they hadn’t come early to help you, you two would have ended up late, and Riddle would have had your heads.
You thanked the two profusely for their help, though Ace did nothing. He stuck his tongue out when you tacked that onto the end of his thank you, whining about how that was unnecessary. (He was cute, but it was very necessary.)
You knew Ace and Deuce were feeling the loss of their upperclassmen, Trey and Cater. Ace kept grumbling something about Riddle being even more insufferable now that he was a Junior, but you disagreed. Riddle had shown immense amounts of growth (not the height kind, you thought to yourself, but that would probably never change) during your stay here, and you couldn’t have been prouder of him for it. They’d all come so far from last year, and they’d all done more than enough to make you feel welcomed at NRC, maybe even enough for you to consider it your second home. In a moment of emotion, you felt a tear well up in your eye. Clenching your eyes shut so as to not worry your three companions, you started your walk to the ceremony hall. It seemed like only yesterday you were in the library, being lectured by Crowley about the rules of this school and the conditions under which you’d stay here.
Hopefully there wouldn’t be any overblots this year.
“Perfect, look! It’s the Savanaclaw guys.” Ace hissed, mouth twisted up in a frown. He must have still been bitter about the loss in the Spelldrive Tournament.
“Hello, Prefect.” Jack greeted, nodding his head.
Ruggie chuckled beside him, his eyes shining with mischief. “Now now, Prefect. Your eyeliner is messed up! Were you crying?”
“Hey, don’t start. The Perfect has been away from their family for an entire school year. You don’t need to mock them.” Deuce said, crossing his arms.
“Yeah! What Juice said.” Ace huffed, Grim nodding adamantly beside him.
“Don’t call me that! You still can’t get my name right?! It’s been a year!” Deuce yelled.
“Oh relax, I’m only teasing.” Ruggie ignored them and addressed you, “I can fix that for you. I used to do it as a part time job. You guys can go on ahead. Jack, take the froshes to the ceremonial hall.”
“Got it.” Jack nodded, ushering the freshmen down the hall.
“We’re staying with the Prefect!” Ace insisted.
“Yeah! You’re not pulling a fast one on me, weirdo!” Grim yelled, pushing himself up against your leg.
“Guys, it’s okay. You wouldn’t want to make Riddle mad.” you smiled at your friends, patting Grim on the head., “I wouldn’t want you to miss anything.”
“Prefect…” Deuce sighed but nodded, lifting Grim into his arms, “Hurry, okay?”
“He’ll be quick.” you assured them, trying to ignore the snort that escaped Ruggie at that.
“Last one there’s a rotten egg!” Ace cackled, sticking his tongue out at you.
“Go before Riddle collars you!” you yelled back as he laughed.
With your three friends following behind Savanaclaw, you turned back to Savanaclaw’s new Housewarden. He dug through his robes and produced eyeliner from somewhere in the folds, waving it in front of your face.
“Thank you for offering to fix my makeup. I didn’t trust Ace and Deuce with it and they certainly didn’t want to put their fingers near my eye. Said it was scary.” you shook your head.
“It’s a pleasure. You owe me a grilled cheese after this.” Ruggie laughed, “Come here, sit down on that bench over there.”
You followed his directions and sat down, placing your hands in your lap as you looked up at him.
“Now now…” he clicked his tongue, rubbing his chin thoughtfully, “Make some room for me, Prefect! Put your hands on the bench.”
“What do you mean?” you blinked, pulling your hands on the cold bench seat.
“Better.” Ruggie mused, sitting onto your thighs and opening the eyeliner in one fluid motion.
You yelped, eyes wide. Ruggie laughed as he cupped your face gently, tilting your head to get a better angle.
“What? Cat got your tongue?” his eyes were gleaming again, the mischievous smirk from before returning, “I can do your eyeliner better like this.”
You placed your hands on his hips, trying not to flinch as he brought the eyeliner to your eyelid. Ruggie faltered at the sudden contract, but quickly got over it and made himself comfortable.
“Of course. I’ll try to be still.” you hummed, letting him get to work on your face.
Ruggie was only doing some quick touch ups, styling your eyeliner with expert precision. You could tell he wasn’t lying when he said he knew how to do this- you’d have to ask him to do your makeup again sometime.
“There.” Ruggie pulled away, still cupping your face gently, “That’s good.”
He dug through the folds of his robes again and pulled out a compact mirror, flicking it open and turning it to face you. You marveled at his work, tilting your head this way and that.
“You did so well, Ruggie! Thank you so much.” you beamed.
“Of course, of course. Now you owe me a grilled cheese! Don’t forget about that!” he hopped off your lap, the comforting weight of him vanishing as the space filled with cold air.
You furrowed your brow at the loss, embarrassed that you’d wanted him to stay like that. To make up for it, you offered him your hand. His ears twitched as he glanced from your hand to your face, another smirk spreading across his lips.
“Don’t worry, I’ve never cheated you out of a deal before.” you said.
“Now you want to hold my hand, too? That’ll cost you double.” he teased, taking your hand immediately.
“Hey, you got to sit in my lap. It’s only fair.” you shot back, squeezing his hand as you tugged him along.
“Hmm…I guess you’re right.” he snickered, suddenly pulling ahead of you and taking off down the hallway.
“Ruggie!” you shrieked, rushing to catch up to his speed, “You’re going to mess up our robes!”
“Then I’ll just fix those for you too!” he looked back at you and winked.
Ignore that this Home Alone inspired poly adeuce fic is a month late. Or choose to read it for 2024 Christmas, up to you.
I had a lot of fun writing this! Put it into a word counter just for fun, and I'm surprised to see that my first real WIP I finished in 2024 is 3k long! It was just so fun to imagine a twist one of my favourite Christmas movies, and I got so caught up in the fun of it I didn't make my deadline ^^; It was originally meant to be a short little crackfic, but it was just too fun! There are some cracky, campy elements, but that's just in the spirit of the movie I based it off!
Anyways: MDNI, warnings for standard yandere things, and creepy crawlies.
++++++++++++++++++++++
"Shouldn't we be pouring salt on the pathway?"
"Nah," you smile, splashing another bucket of water on the front steps. "This is so we can have a nice slip-and-slide for tobogganing tomorrow, Grim! Same reason I'm filling up a little ice rink in the back-- I wanna do some skating. I can't wait for it to freeze over and teach you how!"
Grims' head shakes fervently as he beams; "Just you wait! I'll show you the grace and speed of a master figure skater! I'm gonna be teaching YOU how to skate by the time we're done!"
"Well if you wanna do that, you're gonna need to be well rested. Can you grab us some cookies for before-bed snacks?" you encourage, the monster agreeing and scampering off inside the dorm house to pilfer the cupboard.
You continue pouring water on the steps and trudge around the house's perimeter to check on the steps leading outside to make sure they're freezing over like you intended. You have several other home security measures to check over...
Most of the staff, and students for that matter, went home for the holidays. Family to see, vacations to take... A life to live outside of the school and other people in it. Should anything happen, Crowley was unfortunately unavailable (what else is new, the old bastard), nor was Vargas, Trein, or Crewl. Normally they'd be spattered throughout the holiday to watch over the students. But there are other teachers on the premises, and hardly any students who can't return home for whatever reason, and they let it slip by... One night during the whole winter break when none of your trusted faculty members nor any of your more powerful friends like Malleus or Idia could help if you got into trouble.
And maybe, maybe your brain has been rotted by movies and defending yourself from overblotted students.
But it's better safe than sorry.
With everything seemingly in order, and the sun setting quickly behind the treeline of school woods, you rush over to the front gate to hang a large sign:
NO SOLICITORS
Hopefully, this will deter anyone planning to intrude on you tonight.
You trudge your way back to the front door, carefully avoiding the steps. You spend the next few hours snacking with Grim while watching movies together, playing card games, and chattering about what ifs and would you rather... Before too long, it's time for bed, and Grim is out like a light, thanks to several pounds of turkey stuffing, potatoes, and cookies you still had after the holiday party days ago.
The party was fun... It did leave you with more leftovers you knew what to do with, which is always great. You got to wish Rook Joyeuses Fête, decorate cookies with Jack and Jade (the merman being much better at decorating, likely due to working in the lounge), and say goodbye to everyone dear to you before they left for their own plans... But it also had Ace and Deuce.
Which, on the one hand, they're harmless. You know they are. They're just jerks sometimes.
They should be focusing on their studies, and you had to devote your time to keeping Ramshakle clean, and Grim on task to graduate... The little monster became somewhat of a family member. Surrogate son or little brother you're not entirely sure, but you want him to succeed.
And even if the pair of heartslabyul boys were gifted students that excelled at every course with time to spare, Grim wasn't-- Grim needed your help to study, to get to class, to handle some of his projects for him when his paws would cause accidents in the potion lab. Grim needs your help to get through college, and it keeps you way too busy for a relationship with either guy.
And even though they soured the mood of the party right after you told them as such, it's the truth, and that's what it is. You're not going to jeopardize Grim's future just to date college students.
They acted like jerks for the rest of the winter break.
When everyone was opening presents, they bitched at everyone for the gifts they exchanged, teased relentlessly, knocked over decor, and told each classmate going through the magic mirror over the week to 'take their time coming back, if at all'. Poor Idia had an anxiety attack when they started teasing him; it took you half an hour to calm him down enough to stop puking and stick to just dry heaving. Grim scampered off after Idia fainted a second time... It took another hour after that to help him through the magic mirror, with his robot escorts. You would have walked through with him, but he insisted holding your hand as he left would be enough, only dragging you somewhat through the portal.
It was rubbing you the wrong way how they were picking fights with everyone, and snubbing Grim anytime they saw you and the monster around campus.
Suddenly, the front gates screech open, drawing you out of your thoughts. You peek out the sliver of the window from behind the thick curtain in the bedroom to see two figures shuffle through the snow.
It can't be them. Even if you were just thinking of them, that would be too... Convenient. Like some movie logic. Thinking of people doesn't summon them.
Whoever it is will be getting a nasty surprise in three, two, one--
A muffled thud and string of curses can be heard from the other side of the glass. You sneak your way down the stairs so you can at least see who's at the door.
"Son of a--! Grim!" Deuce shouts. So much for not summoning them.
"Open the door, little buddy! We know that you're in there and that you're all alone... Your precious prefect is spending the last night of the winter break with someone else, right?" Ace yells, quickly being joined by a snickering and rapping at the door.
A shadow presses itself against the window, trying to peer through sheer curtains. You duck behind one of the striped couches on the outside of the room, close to the walls. Through the reflection of the glass cabinet, you can see the figure stay and linger at the window, tapping against the glass with a small can.
"Come on Grim. We've got tuna for ya if you just open the door and have a chat..." Deuce says, cupping his hands around his mouth as he yells through the glass.
His shadow straightens up, before pounding back on the glass, rattling the old pane against the tight frame, the narrow strips of wood being tight enough together that neither of them could just force their way through the window; Even if they shattered all the glass.
Which Deuce just might, slamming himself into the frame as hard as he could.
"I saw you move in there! Don't ignore us!" He shatters a pane, shoving his hand through to grab at the sheer curtains and tug, ripping them.
You duck back behind the couch, scanning for tools to protect yourself. Shut up. Don't be stupid, just think. Think quick, and smart.
The banging stops for a second. Before becoming far louder-- powerful enough to feel the floor shake. Metal creaks against its hinges, and the lock crashes into the strike plate of the door.
Ignore that, focus. Cleaning supplies. Always nearby, the dorm is filthy. Dish soap and mop bucket.
You dart out from behind the couch to grab the bottle of dish soap, grabbing it and rolling up against the wall just in time as the banging stops, the door knob jiggles and a thin wire pokes itself out from the cracks between the door frame. It makes quick work of the locks on the door, before opening, and Ace proudly struts into the room. The second he does, you pop the cap and squeeze the bottle, squirting bright blue goop into his eyes and smarmy mouth! And you splurt the floor for good measure!
You sprint back to behind the couch he pulls back, sputtering, and wiping it from his eyes in thick globs. You watch through the reflection of the cabinet as Deuce shoves his way past Ace as he splatters fistfuls of goop onto the floor, next to the bottle of leaking dish soap. Ace shoves Deuce for the push, and the resulting shove has both of them slipping on the puddle of dish soap you left in your hurry.
"Ahg-- Ace?! Why are you on the floor?"
A visibly wet smack as dish soap arches off Ace's gloves, slapping damply right into Deuce's face as he grunts from under his classmate: "Get off me, you buffoon! Go find the cat-- Grim, I'm gonna skin you for this, you little creep!"
"Don't make threats until after we have the little rat, runt. If he goes tattling we're screwed--"
"There's no one to tattle to! He's all alone in this big house! Even the ghosts aren't here! If we stick his claws in an electrical socket or force-feed him motor oil, no one would think anything of it! He's just a dumb animal that killed himself without supervision!"
Something glints from under the couch. You grasp at it, finding a spare ornament, and an unused ziptie, threaded through the top. There's got to be something you can use to create a bigger distraction and get you and Grim out of here.
There has to be something in reach-- going back to the bucket in plain sight of them is too risky. Shoving your hand under the couch, your clutch the first thing that your grasp: An aerosol room freshener. Score.
Wrapping the ziptie around the spray trigger, you tighten it and roll it over to the boys, still scrambling about on the floor. You watch from the reflection in the cabinet as Deuce gets a heavy spray right in the eyes, hollering in pain!
"AUGH-- Fucker! You think you're so smart, punk?! Your little bomb just gave away your position!" Deuce shouts, whipping out his magic pen, covering his eyes.
You feel a sense of dread. Primal instinct. You leap out from behind the couch just as he summons a caldron to crash into the couch, narrowly missing you as it smashes the solid oak to splinters. Splinters stick to your socks, embedding in your feet as you scamper off to another room, streams of water and gusts of wind being shot after you.
Just as you turn the corner to climb up the stairs and rush to Grim's room, you hear Ace curse exasperatedly, stumbling his way to the end of the hall to stare at you, still wiping his eyes on his sleeves. Another string of sighed curses leaves his lips as he watches you scramble up the stairs, making accidental eye-contact.
They know their plans are botched now.
Gotta climb faster.
On all fours, you claw up the stairs, just as a tug on your ankle forces your jaw to slam into them. Casting a glance backwards, Ace has gripped your ankle with his sticky gloves, grinning madly as you struggle to tug your ankle away from him, and try to dodge the other one of his hands trying to grasp for your other leg, only to end up sloppily groping your ass before trying again. You try to shake and kick him off, getting a hits to the side of his head, but not as effective as if you had room to wind up. He's gripping so hard it feels like he's going to break something. You scramble, shifting your weight side to side to get him off, prying yourself off the stairs and scratching your nails into the old wood. Your nails cling to the baseboard, prying the edge as much as you can, the wood creaking and snapping off with each desperate tug to pull yourself up.
The baseboard snaps, and you find yourself with a small wooden shiv, thinking to whip around and stab it into Ace's hand, leading him to retract for a second long enough for you to scramble up a step again-- before being slammed back down into the wood as you're grabbed again.
A girthy, irrate red centipede wiggles its way out from the hole in the baseboard, defensive of the now-ruined home.
You snatch it up, close to the head and the snapping mandibles as it wriggled and writhed, as you slowly reached back around to Ace, still clinging to your legs as you tried to shake him off. The teen was so focused on keeping you still as he pulled some ducttape off the roll with his teeth, that he didn't see the massive, snakelike body of the centipede until it was too late; And you stick it right on his face.
He seemed to freeze, giving you enough time to tug your leg again, just as he screamed an ear-piecing shriek!
Ace pawed at his face squirming violently on the stairs, thumping loudly on each step back to the bottom as you sprinted your way upstairs, into Grims room, slamming and locking the door behind you!
"What the hell is wrong--"
"PSYCHO PREFECT IS WHAT! Is it in my hair? Fucking thing was thick as a finger, and they put it right on my face! Is it in my hair?!"
"The prefect is home?! Dude! We're so screwed!"
"So go up there and get them, dipshit! Why are you standing still when they're up there getting a fucking bear trap or something ready?! Are you having an aneurysm or something?! Why are you just staring at me like that?!"
"...Ace... Don't... Move."
"Deuce... What are you talking about? Go get them-"
"Don't. Move."
"Deuce..?"
The telltale crash of a cast iron cauldron smashing through your rotten wood floors makes you nearly shit yourself, glancing back at a sleep-stirring Grim.
"DID I GET IT?"
"YOU ALMOST CRUSHED MY SKULL YOU NUTCASE!"
"DID I GET IT?!"
"You fucking moron!"
You snatch Grim up, using the blanket he was sleeping with like a hobo bag to hold him in, and open the window, edging your way carefully onto the roof. If you can just make safely to the other side of Ramshackle, you can try scaling down the ivy. And it will at least give you a head start-- Maybe hiding out in Sams is the best idea. A store owner must have a CCTV, right? And if Ace and Deuce try and kill either of you, then even if something happens to you, they'll get caught...
You wrap the corners of Grims blanket around your shoulders, like a makeshift baby pouch. You can definitely feel him squirming on your back, starting to wake up. You let go of the window, slipping down the rough roof tile. Laying on your stomach, you side-shuffle over, staying as low to the roof as you can to get the most traction. The edge nearly takes you by surprise when your foot doesn't connect with length that's not there. Slowly, you shuffle even closer to the edge, swaying your arm around the edge to find the vines of Ivy.
"I FOUND 'EM, ACE!"
Your head whips around to see Deuce leaning as far as he can out of the window before he scrambles to get onto the roof.
Whipping your head back to focus, you grab a fistful of vines and pull the rest of your body off the roof! You snatch another fistful with your other hand as you fall.
And fall all the way down, watching in horror as the ivy peels itself from the brick walls.
You feel Grim claw his way out of the pouch and onto your face just in time, as you land on your back with a sickening crunch.
"Oh shit," Ace comments, seemingly having been waiting for you at the bottom of the wall. You see Grim flee across the yard out of the corner of your eye, unable to lift your head.
The sound of snow crunching underfoot, and Deuce panting like crazy soon joins Ace in staring at you as you lay helpless on the ground. As soon as he arrives he gets asked: "Are we gonna get Grim?"
"No point, really..." Comes the huffed response; "We were gonna get him to fuck off, and he's fucked right off. Tonight didn't really go to plan anyway."
A boot gently kicks at your side as Ace turns his attention back to you: "Are you paralyzed or something? That was quite the fall."
You open your mouth to speak, but only a cracked whine makes it out. You cringe and try again, but nothing intelligible comes out.
"Holy shit, they're brain-damaged!" Ace grins, laughing as he backs away from you.
You feel Deuce tugging at your legs in the snow, dragging you from your shallow ditch in the snow. He begins tugging you closer to the dorm, before he drops your legs, moving to grab you under your arms and haul you that way, up against a wall. Breaking a window, he shoves you in, head first. The cold floors of Ramshackle are still warmer than the ice and snow.
"Alright. Hey, real quick, can you feel this?" Deuce begins poking you with a wire from an ornament, starting with your legs, and making his way up on both sides. You nod, wincing at some particularly sharp pricks, to which Deuce responds by rubbing the area to dull the pain.
"Can you say where you are right now? Do you know who I am? Who you are?" You nod again, voice stumbling through a pained response.
"Awesome. You're not brain-damaged! You're probably just winded from the fall. Is anything broken? Can you wiggle your fingers and toes? Try twisting side to side. If you can't it means your spine might be broken, and you need a doctor."
You comply, weirded out by the sudden care, but the doctor comment means they will call someone. And that someone will keep you safe, and them away. The pain's already fading, and likely nothing serious, but you could trick them... Deuce particularly seems like a soft touch. You wince as you try to twist, feigning inability.
Deuce makes a worried expression, like he's about to piss himself from fear.
He backs off slightly, giving you a bit more breathing room: "Try crossing your arms and lifting them as far away from your ribs as you can".
You comply again, feigning difficulty,
And duct tape wraps around your wrists instantly. Deuce presses his knee down into your chest to pin you down as he wraps as tightly as he can, while Ace ties your legs from outside.
"This really, really isn't my style. But we've got to get you somewhere that is not here when the teachers come back tomorrow, and we can't have Grim knowing where to find you." Deuce rambles, soaking his glove in a bottle of something, before pressing it to your face. He continues rambling, leaning in closer to whisper: "And I know how this looks! But I promise we won't do anything to you while you sleep. Or when you wake up! I swear! It's all more normal than it seems tonight-- or it can be anyways. And... And if you give me some time, give me a chance, we can even ditch Ace and forget this night ever happened! You just need some time somewhere else..."
The room spins with dark spots as Deuce presses his soaked glove further into your face. He continues rambling at you, while you feel Ace begin dragging you back out the window again. The snow doesn't feel cold this time as you fall into it. It just feels soft.
Tornado Safety
This year’s tornado season prediction for the united states is looking quite grim, so I decided to make this lil tornado safety post.
Difference between Warning and Watch
First you need to know the different between a tornado warning and a tornado watch.
A tornado watch means there is a potential risk for tornadoes.
A tornado warning means that server weather as bean spotted.
The real one you know to get going for is the tornado emergency which means that there is truly something heading your way. However you should respond to all of these appropriately, and if one is issued keep watch for the weather.
What to look out for
The calm before the storm is a real thing. The wind may die down, and the air become still. Everything might fall silent for a moment
The sky is turning dark really fast, or green, or both.
A roar similar to that of a distant freight train. Tornado’s sound like freight trains.
Fast moving and rotating clouds, especially if they’re making a funnel shape
Obviously tornado watches escalating for tornado warnings
What to do
Let’s say the tornado warning is now issued, and eventually a tornado is coming your way. What do you do? Well the situation depends on how immediate the danger is, and what your circumstances are.
First let’s start with the “average”  American advice. Go to the lowest level of your home, and hopefully a basement or storm shelter.
Now if that isn’t an available option, there’s no need to fear or panic. The lowest level of your home is advised. Try an small enclosed room, with low to minimum windows, such as a bathroom, closet, or center hallway.
If you are in a mobile home GET OUT OF THERE.
WHY DOES THE UNITED STATES HAVE THESE, WHEN THEY’RE OVERPRICED ANYWAY, DEATH TRAPS, AND ITS THE COUNTRY WITH THE HIGHEST TORNADO RATES.
Let’s say there’s nowhere to go.
Go to a safe available nearby building, especially if it has a basement. However if that is still not an option lie in the nearest ditch (I know it sounds crazy but it works) and shield your head/neck with your hands
If taking shelter in a home, make sure everyone is with you. That can include pets, but if you’re in a super emergency situation it is better to leave them and get to shelter as quick as possible.
If you can get low and shield head, or body with a mattress, blanket, etc.
Natural Disaster Safety
Doesn’t matter where you live, you should probably have an emergency kit, especially one attuned to the climate of your area. This doubles if you’re in a natural disaster prone area.
Many of those in the United States have learned lately what the consequences of not having the proper equipment on hand are.
So what should you have for a tornado?
Battery Powered Radio
Flashlight
Extra Batteries
First Aid Kit
Water & Canned Food
Emergency things tailored to people of household (medical problems, etc)
If you live in a cold region also have cold safety materials too
What NOT to do & Extra
Don’t disregard the watches, and especially the warnings. They are there for a reason, and you should really keep an eye out. You might even want to head to shelter anyway if the wind is crazy strong.
Don’t stand near windows, or be that classic midwesterner who is on their porch getting a good shot of that swirly cloud of death. I know its fun...but its not safe.
If the situation is an absolute emergency don’t take time to grab your valuable. Its devastating to lose them, I've been there, but you can replace most tiny things and not a life.
Make sure any invalid family members have their own viable tornado plan. My grandma lives in a tornado prone area, and the plan has completely changed since she’s been confined to a walker. Make sure your family members like that have a plan.
Being in a car during a tornado is not safe at all. Drive to nearest shelter, or get out and hop in that ditch.
If the tornado looks like its standing still, it’s not. That shit is heading towards you.
Always be sure to remember to cover your head, or help shield your children.
Myth Busting
Overpasses are not safe shelter for when you’re in a car. It’s a myth, take that ditch instead if need be, or drive to a shelter.
Hiding under your car is dangerous. Tornados can drop on your car, either crushing you or sucking you up into the air along with your vehicle
Cars cannot outrun tornados
Don’t open your windows. It’s not going to stop the tornado from blowing your house over, instead it may even help it. It will allow for debris to enter your home easier, and cause the wind to be able to tear your house apart from the inside out.
Aftermath
It’s hit now, maybe your house was safe or not. Keep track of watches still, tornados can return, or could be apart of a tornado outbreak, meaning a second or even third tornado can hit the area.
Assume all downed lines are active and dangerous, try not to use the gas, electricity, and water til you’re sure its safe.
If you’re not home return home once it’s deemed safe
Keep aware of damaged buildings, glass, debris, etc.
If you want to and have the chance help your fellow man, lost animal, and etc. Checking on people is a kind and lifesaving thing to do, as well as securing people’s pets.
All of this from a person who lived in a tornado prone area growing up, to you.
Fraud | Part 10 | Yandere All Might x Hero!Reader
Tumblr media
(A/N: We're already at ten parts, if things keep this way we might have a series that rivals Break Me Slowly. If this series gets past 40 chapters then we'll know which one I've been enjoying writing more. XD Hope you enjoy and comment to be added to the taglist!)
WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, manipulation, domestic abuse, yandere themes, forced marriage, forced pregnancy, stockholm syndrome, graphic depictions of violence, mind breaking, misogyny, power imbalance, age difference, cheating, forced orgasm, suicide, etc.
================================================
When All Might was finished with Shade he left her there shaking and drained. His superior strength meant she didn't stand a chance against his advances, he would always take what he wanted. Her tears and pleas fell on deaf ears when he finally found his release.
He adjusted his clothes and started his daily routine, as if the night prior he hadn't kidnapped an innocent woman and had his way with her. Business as usual.
Part of this routine was keeping up to date with the world outside, ensuring that his daily activities weren't found out and that he could continue to hide in the shadows.
Unfortunately the media was biting him in the ass.
News of Shade's disappearance had begun to spread like wildfire. Apparently the fool had made several social media posts about her involvement with All Might, as well as that nosy pro who had invited her over wondered what happened to her.
He had been a fool.
So far what the police had told the public is that she had been seen leaving her apartment, there were no signs of a struggle and yet she was gone. Probably taken from a back alley. They were searching them now for any clues as to who this mysterious attacker could be.
Hopefully this would all blow over, it always did. He was even more popular than before now, there was no reason his connections would fail him now. No matter what they found, it would never come back to him, right?
His phone rang.
"All Might." His voice was more stern than he would have liked.
"All Might, this is the chief of police, we'd like you to come in for questioning."
Beads of sweat dripped down his neck. "I'm on my way."
===============================================
Shade felt numb all over, but her insides were burning with pain. Images of the man she looked up to most in life violating her over and over. Her body was filled with his cum, leaking out and making her feel disgusted.
With broken bones and the fear of the fastest hero alive in the next room all she could do was stay still. Hopefully he would come to reason and let her go, if he promised to stay far away from her for the rest of her life she probably wouldn't even press charges. She could live with him roaming free if it meant she'd be safe. But the chances of that she knew were slim.
However in the next room as she waited for his inevitable return Shade could hear the television going. A spark of hope shot through her, they were looking for her. People wanted her to be found and already knew she was missing. If All Might had been careless and left any evidence at the scene where he took her, maybe this whole ordeal would be over sooner than she thought.
She could go home.
Just then the door opens and the man of the hour enters, his face dark and grim. She tries to hide it but the faintest of grins comes to her face, he should be sweating bullets right now, knowing all of this would be brought to justice.
"I'm going out. I'll be back shortly. Don't try anything and I'll see about letting you up to clean yourself."
"Okay, I won't- I'll wait right here- but uhm, where are you going can I ask?"
He doesn't look at her as he responds, resolve and determination etched into his features.
"The Symbol of Peace is needed."
Pairings: Aemond Targaryen x Fem!Relative Reader
Word Count: 2k
Content Warnings: This is very much 18+, make love not war vibes. Not suitable for minors.
A/N: I got the serious urge to write some good old fashioned smut, and realized the stories I've written so far have endings that pave the way for it so here we are. I was torn between Aemond and Daemon, but whoever I didn't write for this time will be next in line, so there will be a continuation of the 'Superbia' story that will be..porn, basically. Hopefully you enjoy this nonsense, I appreciate every reader beyond words ♡
tagging my lovely friend @sylas-the-grim
It is a difficult journey, made torturous with rolling waves and the hot sun bearing down upon the ship. She stays away from the deck as much as possible, hidden from view. The journey is to last no more than three days, she is told. Never did time feel so punishing.
She is grateful, still. Escape did not come easily, or unaided. A loyal maid and a knight braver than most had helped her when she needed it most and she would not forget their kindness. Her maid tries to make her more comfortable, the knight stands guard by the door. Comfort will cease to exist aboard the ship, particularly in her condition.
The babe in her belly has taken to exploring the limits of their space, giving particularly hard kicks when a rough wave crashes against the side of the ship. She gently glides her hand along her bump, whispering words of comfort. She thinks of Aemond in those moments, in most moments.
There was no way for her to know where exactly he was, what he was doing, if he had been dragged back home. He had nothing waiting for him there now. She did. A husband who would return to find his bed empty, no sign of his wife and their unborn child. Her unborn child.
Perhaps he would demand action. Roar with the ferocity of a beast. Refuse to sleep, eat or rest until his wife was returned to him. If he completed even one of those actions she would have been immensely surprised. Most likely he would return from his latest far flung, blood-soaked adventure, not even notice the absence of his wife, then march back out to the next battle.
That suited her perfectly. She would be away from prying eyes, be made to feel no shame when her child emerged with silver hair her husband could not claim heritage to. She would carve out a new life, a life she wanted. As much as she could be allowed, at least.
How can one live a life they have dreamt of without the one who inspires their dreams?
She has a great capacity for happiness, but Aemond enhances it so. To feel true joy is to be with him, bask in his company.
She misses being with him, even just to be in the same room with him. Some of her fondest memories are of the times she would sit by her bedroom window, watching Aemond slip free from the bonds of his thoughts. He would read a book, clean a knife, study a text with peace upon his face, content.
Those moments are deeply nestled in her heart, they bring her joy when she is most needing of it. Though joy is not her only need.
Even when she was back in King's Landing, waiting for Aemond's return, she had begun to feel a new level of yearning for him. Now she feels feral, like a trapped animal. She aches everywhere, nothing will relieve the pain. She sends her maid to fetch her more water, crawls upon her bed on her knees and grips the thin blankets.
Her eyes close, a breath escapes her body. She tries desperately to banish the thoughts of Aemond from her mind. All she wants is to have him kneel behind her, his strong hands caressing her and taking away the aches. His mouth trailing kisses along her hot skin, so slowly it is almost torture. His hard, flushed cock sinking into the dripping heat of her core, making her cry out with relief.
Alas, the fantasy only serves to make reality more difficult. She cannot have him, his touch. She does what she can to ease some of the ache herself, but it is never the same.
The journey is nearing it's end, and it is not a moment too soon. She wraps herself in the grey cloak she had stolen away in, walking out to the deck with the knight behind her. The sea is calm, the air feels clean. She looks at the harbor stretched out before them, taking a deep breath.
There is no time to take in the sights when they set foot on land, there are arrangements to follow up on, if they even still exist. She had written to a distant cousin, one she trusted with her life. Her request for assistance had been accepted, and she could only hope that the arrangement was still intact.
As it transpired, it was indeed intact. Her cousin had a beautiful home, which she was welcomed into along with her maid and her knight. She relished in the opportunity to bathe, sinking into the hot water and feeling a desire to float infinitely.
Once she feels clean and more human than she has in days, she makes plans for her next move. Her maid goes to get her something to eat, leaving her alone in her room. She looks out from the balcony to the city below, wondering if Aemond is somewhere amongst the crowds.
She would not be allowed to leave the house freely, protests and arguments of it being too dangerous would be thrown at her. But she would not hide away, be hidden.
When dusk falls over the city, she makes her escape. She had told her maid she was taking to her bed for the night, she did not wish to be disturbed. While she had not visited the house since she was a young girl, the memories of how to sneak away from it had not eluded her.
Cape draped around her, she makes her way into the city. It is bigger than she remembered, so much more vivid than King's Landing. Colour is everywhere, from the buildings to the clothes people wear. There are flowers everywhere, bright barrels of fruits and vegetables lining the streets. The smells of a hundred different foods, the busy humming of chatter, laughter, bustling about.
She turns from one glorious street to another, making her way through the crowds. She could get lost in a million different ways, everything seemed appealing.
Nothing more so than what she spots further along the street. Despite the dark cloak he wears, she would know him anywhere, in every lifetime.
She has to stop herself from breaking into a sprint, her breath caught in her throat as she makes her way to him. He turns as she nears him, her heart lurching in her chest as he sees her.
He does not move, his body rooted to the spot. She keeps walking, closing the gap that had been them until they are standing across from each other for the first time in what felt like an age.
"No hello?" She teases, a smile on her lips as she lets her cloak open slightly, placing her hand on her swollen bump. "For either of us?"
His eye grows wide. He glances to her belly before looking back to her face. He does not ask with words.
"I would not travel all this way were it not your doing," She smiles, taking a step closer. "your wish was granted."
A smirk tugs at his lips. She feels a surge of desire flare inside her. He steps closer, his hand touching her cheek.
"I have missed you more than words can possibly express." He murmurs, eye locked on hers. He leans in, she pulls back, a smirk on her lips.
"Do you really think a kiss will be enough to satisfy me?" She asks, gently clutching his cloak. "You've been gone a long while, without so much as a word sent."
He watches her for a moment, his hand coming to rest on hers.
"What would you have me do?"
She thinks about it for a moment, as though she has not already been aware of what she wants for many moons.
"It would depend upon your patience," She replies, the feeling of his hand on hers already making her heart pound."You can fuck me right here in the street, or take me to whatever hole you've stowed away in and fuck me there."
The look in his eye makes her think that maybe he will actually fuck her where they stand, her body feeling hot at the thought.
"As you wish." He smirks, moving her hand down his cloak, intertwining their fingers before turning away and guiding her through the streets.
She does not know if they walk for moments or moons, does not care. He leads her to a beautiful house, she would not care if it was a crumbling ruin.
They barely make it to the bedroom. Clothes are shed, a trail created leading to them. She could not possibly forget how it feels to kiss him, but she does not object to the reminder. She cannot get enough, she wants him to steal her every breath.
He relishes the changes to her body. Takes his time to appreciate every inch of her. She pleads with him for more when she fears she will tumble over the edge from his worship of her breasts, only to have him trail slow, wet kisses along her belly.
His hands are everywhere and yet always just out of reach from where she needs them. He knows it, enjoys to prolong his exquisite torture. Her eyes grow wide when she feels his breath ghost over her achingly wet core.
It has been too long, no fantasy of him between her legs can compare to the real thing. The warmth of his tongue against her most sensitive skin, the teasing flick he gives her. She closes her eyes tightly, hands gripping the sheets. He wraps his hands around her thighs, pulls her to him.
He takes her apart slowly, enjoying her frustrated moans. He lets anger mix with her pleasure before he gives her what she truly wants. The tip of his tongue licks a long stripe along her folds, his lips closing in on her where she needs it most.
She feels as though her orgasm has been ripped from her body in the most wonderful way, lifting her hand to her forehead and struggling to catch her breath.
But he is not finished. Before she can breathe he is buried inside her, his hands catching hers and holding them down on the bed. Every ache she has ever felt is melted away as he thrusts deeply into her, filling her and stretching her until she cries.
He kisses her, she uses the opportunity to push him onto his back. She rides him as though the world is ending and this is how they will die. He pulls up, wrapping his arms around her. She touches his face, feeling more powerful than she ever has.
She slowly peels away his patch, her fingers delicately tracing a line above the glinting sapphire.
He kisses her fiercely, pushes her back onto the bed and brings her over the edge with a cry.
They lay together for hours, slowly touching each other. Exchanging soft kisses. Embracing being reunited.
"I want us to be wed," He tells her, his hand gently resting on her belly. "I do not want to deny you what you deserve."
"I am wed," She teases, trailing her fingers along his arm. "you wish to make a sinner of me."
"There is no need to wish for that which already exists," He smirks. "You are wed in law, not execution."
She watches him for a moment, her fingers stilling their movement as she touches his arm.
"Then show me what it is to be wed, truly."
They steal out of a warm night, find a small Sept.
He places a dark cloak upon her shoulders. She takes off his mask.
They kiss for the first time as man and wife.
Vhagar flies them over the bay, the moonlight casting a glow over them as they look down at the light of the city below.
Mere weeks later, their son is brought into the world, the most perfect thing they have ever seen.
They are home.
Floyd x GN!Reader, Soulmate AU
Tumblr media
Prompt: Soulmates can’t make each other feel pain
Today was as normal as NRC could get. Y/n had spent most of the day watching Grimm, Ace, and Deuce try to avoid studying, helped Ruggie drag Leona to class, and was even able to avoid Crowley asking for more favors.
Now that history class was over, it was time to take the long trek back to Ramshackle. Hopefully this time they’d be able to make it home before sunset. Since the dorm has been abandoned, the road wasn’t well lit and was honestly pretty creepy to walk alone.
As Y/N passed through the main walkway, they heard a familiar laugh, followed by someone asking for more time. Not being able to control their curiosity, they poked their head around the shrubs. After seeing the two near-identical mops of blue hair, with a random student sandwiched between, it was easy to realize what happened.
While Azul was doing better about his contracts, he insisted his restaurant and lounge needed to be staffed in some way. Now instead of placing restrictions on students’ powers in exchange for deals, they would agree to ‘volunteer’.
No clue why this student thought they’d be able to hide and run from the twin eels though. Y/N knew better than anyone that when those two had their eyes set on something or someone, they’d end up getting it.
As the three slowly got closer to the hiding spot, Y/N moved next to the nearest statue. Silently hoping that they’d be able to hide well enough and stay out of sight, particularly Floyd’s.
Y/N had no clue why that eel gained an obsession with squeezing them. Originally it seemed to just be Floyd's form of cruel and unusual entertainment, but now it was on another level. Each time they tan into each other, Floyd would chase Y/N around until something else came up. Until it was time for Azul ordering him to leave, classes started, or Y/N was just lucky at finding a good hiding spot, Floyd stopped for nothing.
Now that the trio was directly in front of the statue, Y/N couldn't help but hold their breath, scared that even the smallest noise would draw attention. Apparently hopeful thinking jinxed them, because right as they were about to exit the walkway, Grimm came bustling in yelling at the top of his lungs.
“Hey, Y/N! Whatcha doing behind the statues? Oh! Is there a hidden can of tuna back there?” Yelled the blue ball of fur as he hurried over.
As soon as Floyd heard the name and saw where Grimm ran to, he shoved the escapee into Jade’s arms and rushed right over.
“There’s my favorite Shrimpy! Why’d you hide from me?” He excalimed while leaning over and showing his usual big grin.
“Oh, well…I just saw the both of you were busy and figured it would be best to leave you be. Can’t have you be late when working for Azul!” Y/N stated with a nervous chuckle, still hoping they’d be able to escape without being used as a living stress ball.
“Speaking of which, man! Look at the time! Grimm and I have a lot to study and need to get back to the dorm. Nice seeing you, talk to you later!” Trying to end the conversation on that note, Y/N grabbed their furry companion and went to run past Floyd to safety.
Unfortunately, the universe continued to work against them. Their foot caught on one of the shrubs roots and all they saw was the ground getting closer. Right before impact though, everything stopped. Quickly realizing that Floyd wrapped his hand around their waist and was the only thing keeping them up. With this realization, Y/N felt their face slowly getting warmer with each second.
“Now, now Shrimpy! Gotta be careful and watch where you step. Could’ve squashed your little friend here.” Floyd said with a smile as he grabbed Grim by the collar and moved him out of reach. Grim wasn’t one to stick around when things were going south, so he started running as soon as he could. All Y/N could hear was him yelling something about meeting up at Ramshackle.
Before they could think of a way to get out of Floyd’s arms, he started to speak. “Well Shrimpy, guess you owe me now since I saved you and your little pet. Good news is I already know what I want!”, each word made his usual grin get bigger and bigger, only making Y/N’s stomach sink lower and lower.
While Floyd had never been able to ‘squeeze’ them yet, he kept saying how he wanted to. Normally, a tight hug wouldn’t be a big concern, but with how the students who’ve been through it have complained about backaches and rumors of a few broken arms, Y/N was pretty much terrified of what they knew was coming.
With their eyes squeezed shut and hoping for a quick recovery, Y/N just hoped that Floyd would be a little reasonable and try not to break any bones. However, even though the hug felt a little tighter than necessary, it didn't hurt.
After another minute of the hug, Y/N finally worked up enough courage to talk, "Um, Floyd? I think the squeeze is done now. Could you put me down?", they asked with a small smile. Hoping that asking nicely would help.
Unfortunately, Floyd seemed far too happy as is and just shook his head in response, "No way Shrimpy! You're the first one to like being squeezed. If anything, makes me think I should squeeze you even tighter." He stated blankly.
This argument would’ve continued for awhile, if it weren’t for Jade walking up. Y/N realized that they’d been so wrapped up in dealing with Floyd, that Jade had been able to take the student to Octavinelle and come back.
“Now Floyd, you know not to play too hard with your toys. Might be best to put Y/N down before you cause bruising.” Jade said with his usual fake smile
However, instead of listening to his brother and letting Y/N go, Floyd just held on even tighter. “But Jade, Shrimpy doesn’t mind it! If they did, they’d be like all the other fishies and yell for help!”
That comment made Jade reanalyze exactly what was going on, and once he pieced it together he let his rare genuine smile come to show.
"Well, it looks like I have wonderful news for our next phone call with Mom and Dad. They'll be so happy to hear about how one of us finally found their soulmate." Jade stated while eyeing Y/N with a half joking and half serious look, before turning around and walking away.
"Wait, soulmate? That's actually a thing? Jade come back here and explain!" Y/N yelled out as Jade disappeared into the building once more.
"Awww, don't worry Shrimpy! I'll take good care of ya!" Floyd stated with a happy sigh, back to squeezing his new found soulmate and loving how they only sighed and accepted the hug.
Dan heng x RWBY!reader
Fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, isekai?
A/n: I hope you don't mind that I changed some things up, I haven't gotten past Jarilo VI yet. Also, gonna make Stelle and 7th date in this bc yes. Sorry for the amount of shit that's ooc. Hope you enjoy :]
Readers semblance is called snowfall. They turn themself into snow in the same way Ruby turns herself into a cloud of rose petals, can also add more people to it. But they can also make frozen platforms and such the same way Weiss uses her glyphs. They can't use the snow to change/affect anyone though, like time dilation, nor can they mix any dust in with it(aside from ice to make it more affective). They can't summon in the same way Weiss can either, just small inanimate objects like shards of ice.
_______________
"RUBY!" Y/n yelled out as they used their semblance to pull Neo away from their friend, and towards themself. They used their sickle and tried to cut her, but it was just another of Neo's illusions. They looked back at Ruby as the illusion shattered like glass and they saw her trying to push Neo off of herself. "GODDAMMIT! NEOPOLITAN!" They yelled out in a rage, using their semblance to burst forward and landed on her back, hooking their two sickles over the closed parasol to lock it under Neo's chin and leaned back, pulling Neo off of their friend.
Neopolitan wasn't able to keep her balance up, with them on her back and choking her with her own weapon, so she fell backwards and landed near the edge of the platform that was surrounded by nothingness. It made Y/n lose their grip on the girl and fall off completely. But not before taking Hush, Neo's weapon, down with them. Hopefully, they had helped their friends, even if just a little..
-
Cold. That was all they felt. The chill of winter. Were they in the Tundra of Solitas?.. how did they get there.. what were they doing..? Everything was fuzzy after the broadcast was sent..
Even with their closed eyelids, everything was so bright. They could still feel their two sickles in their hands, something was connecting the two."I need to get out.. before my aura depletes completely.." They thought and tried to stand, letting go of a sickle to cover their eyes from the harsh brightness. Finally they opened their eyes to look down and saw they sickles still connected to Hush. "Oh.. right.. me and Ruby were fighting Neo.. Ruby! Where- wait.."
"Where am I..?" They asked aloud as they looked around. It definitely felt like Solitas, but something was different.. it wasn't as cold as the tundra should have been.. and where is Atlas? It should be right infront of them in ruins. They looked up to the sky, still shading their eyes and saw the moon. It was whole.
A loud yell was heard from behind them. Their eyes still hadn't adjusted to the brightness. Maybe they should have taken Coco's advice a year back and invested in some sunglasses. Oh well, no use in thinking about that now. They turned around to look back and saw a blonde man in armor. That definitely wasn't Atlesian armor. Just where the fuck were they? And where was Yang. She has to have been here aswell. I mean she fell down before they did! The man started to speak. No, more like interrogate them, but they couldn't understand a single word.
"What's going on? And where am I? I was supposed to help with the evacuation from Atlas!" Y/n started to explain, but the man just seemed to grow more confused. He spoke up again, this time in a softer tone, but it just sounded like jibberish to Y/n. He was speaking another language, that's for sure, but it wasn't one of the four from the kingdoms. Was this some native language from people who lived out here?.. But that should be impossible, Solitas is almost completely uninhabitable. Then again, they've seen the proof that this wasnt Remnant. Just who was this man?
Y/n tried once again to speak, this time in Mistralian, "Hello..? Do you know where I am..?" While it hadn't been that long since they last spoke it, it still felt weird. But atleast it got results. The man seemed to understand what they were saying. "My name is Y/n.. I don't know where I am or how I got here.. could you help me..?"
The man nodded before clearing his throat. "Yes. Here, come with me back to the city. We will get everything sorted after. It is.. dangerous out here." He spoke, choppy and not quite all there. Almost like it was a new language he was still learning.
He just stood there expectantly, waiting for them to move. And so they did. But not before picking up the sickle they had dropped and placing the two back in their designated sheaths. Then followed the blonde man.
-
Y/n had been living in Belabog long enough to have learnt the native language. They had learnt about the fragmentum and the monsters it brought. And while they were an upgrade of the typical grimm they had fought back on Remnant, the fragmentum beasts weren't necessarily hard to defeat. The man who had rescued them had taught Y/n all about this world and its language was called Gepard. He had also taught them about the Fragmentum beasts.
But they were getting tired of living here. They missed the others, and they still weren't able to locate Yang. Did she just.. not make it..? Or was she in a different universe entirely? Did the others make it to Vacuo? Was Penny safe? Was Ruby able to beat Neo? They kept wondering things like this, it sucked. To be fair, maybe they died and passed on to a different realm, but still. It worried Y/n that they didn't know anything about their old friends, or if they were even still alive anymore. They hadn't told Gepard anything about their past, claiming to have amnesia. He seemed to buy it, since they clearly didn't know anything about this world.
-
"It's the suspect and his accomplices! Arrest them!" One of the Silvermane guards had yelled out as a suspicious looking man fled the scene, leaving three others behind to fight. Y/N was currently with Gemard on patrol when they had heard all the commotion. They weren't necessarily working for the Silvermane guards, but they did like to help every now and again.
"Hey! Where do you think you're-!" The girl in.. a summer dress? Yelled out to the man, but he had already fled. And just like that, the guards started attacking.
"Should we step in?" Y/n asked, but Gepard just shook his head.
"Not yet." He said.
And so they waited, but the guards were getting their asses handed to them. "Gepard.." Y/n warned. He said nothing. It was only until the girl in the dress was shooting a frozen arrow did he move. Walking over and blocking her attack completely. The girl gasped and took a step back. Was that something she's never seen before?
"I, Gepard Landau, Captain of the silvermane guards, order you to relinquish your futile resistance." He said, but they didn't let up. Instead, the girl spat out a threat.
"GRR!! That Sampo cheated us! Oh just wait till I get my hands on him!" She yelled and her grip on her bow tightened as she thrashed it.
"Suspect! Relinquish your resistance!" One of the guards piped up. It seemed to make her more angry.
"Ugh! So I'm a criminal now?! Forget about Sampo, wait till I get my hands on YOU!" She yelled and fired an arrow at the guard. The fight went pretty much how they had expected it to go. Gepard defeated the group.
"And what of the prime suspect? The one with blue hair." He asked another guard, who answered in apology as he explained how the suspicious guy had managed to get away. But Gepard shrugged off the apology and focused on the three infront of him. "Atleast we have his accomplices. He'll be close by, plotting his next move." But the three explained how they weren't connected to the weird guy at all. And even showed a picture of the planet. Jarilo VI.. it was kind of beautiful from afar..
"Gepard, may I speak with them..?" Y/n spoke up, standing next to the tall blonde. He simply nodded and turned to talk with his guards. "So.. you're all from other planets?" They asked, tilting their head. And two of the three nodded. The tall guy just seemed to stay quiet, like he wasn't actually a part of the conversation, he looked like Ren. "Can I ask you all something.. because I'm guessing you've traveled to other planets aswell.. have you come across one named Remnant..?" They asked, they knew they shouldn't be hopeful but it just seeped into their voice. Sadly the girl shook her head.
"Sadly, I can't say I've been to a planet named that. Can you describe what it looks like..? Do you have any photos of it, or maybe a map of some sorts?" She spoke, she genuinely wanted to help. It made them feel a little hopeful again. She seemed a lot like Nora, it made Y/n want to chuckle.
"Yeah, here." Y/n pulled out their scroll so show her a photo of Remnants map. Hoping that she had atleast seen it. But she only shook her head.
"I'm sorry.. I can't say I've ever seen it. What about you, Dan Heng? Have you ever seen a planet like this?" She asked the tall man, but he shook his head aswell. Y/n seemed sad at the response, but remembered the shattered moon.
"Here! Have you seen this moon anywhere??" They held up a picture of the shattered moon. By the brothers.. they missed it. The two shook their heads again. "Is she new..?" Y/n asked and pointed at the third person.
"Yeah! This is Stelle! Our newest addition!" The shorter girl clung to Stelle. "Oh! Hey, do you think that if we explain the situation to Himeko, that we can bring them along and help them find their home?" She asked.. Dan Heng, was his name? But he sighed and shook his head.
"I don't know." The two reminded them of Ren and Nora. It made them sad to think about, they still didn't know if anyone was okay or not.
-
Y/n hadn't expected this to happen, but they kind of just tagged along with the three other-worlders. Much to Gepard's dismay. It was fun. Like back in Atlas when they were wanted criminals. Well.. maybe fun wasn't the right word to use. But it was entertaining and helped Y/n keep their mind occupied for a little while. Then, when they arrived in the underworld, helping the Happy hun- no, these were Wildfire, not the happy huntresses.
They couldn't help but mix the two up. The leader, who they had later found out was Natasha and not Oleg, was like a secret love child of Robyn, May and Winter.
During this entire time, Y/n found out that the short girl was called March 7th (they just liked to call her 7th) and that she and Stelle were dating. Which, Stelle kind of reminded them of Blake and Pyrrha. They also found that Dan Heng was often left alone or third wheeling, so Y/n liked to join him when out on patrol. Often going out on walks, nothing was said between the two, they just liked being in eachothers presence.
It had been hard for Y/n to open up about anything with these three. But they were the only ones who truly understood what they needed. That's why they liked spending time with Dan Heng. They never felt like they needed to speak.
-
They sucked in a breath, standing on the platform they created. This was bad. Really bad. Svarog wasn't going to listen to the four of them, and Stelle wasn't helping. They needed to get Dan Heng and the others out of here. Bursting into snowfall, they tried to merge with them, but only managed to reach Dan Heng before svarog shot a waring at the two, flinging Y/n away from the others while Dan Heng landed behind the two women.
-
After the fight, 7th walked up to Y/n with sparkling eyes "You can turn yourself into snow?!" She seemed so excited. Too excited. They blushed from embarrassment as 7th was practically pushed up against them.
"W-well..-"
"March. Leave them be." Dan Heng said and pulled the girl off of Y/n. Which in return made them smile and nod a thanks in return. "Although, I am quite curious aswell.." Y/n let out a sigh before nodding.
"It's called a semblance.. everyone on my world has one." They said plainly, not wanting to get into more detail. "Mine is Snowfall."
-
Over time, Y/n opened up a bit more. And bit by bit, started to laugh and have fun. They still preferred to be around Dan Heng, he was like Blake and Ren. Comfortable. It made them more willing to open up.
"So.. how do people get their semblances?" He asked, sitting on the ground next to them, leaning against a wall.
"Well first, a good step is to unlock your aura- err, soul. It's different for everyone. Mine came to me one day while I was training with a friend.. he attacked and I forgot to activate my aura- soul's force field. His blade went straight into my stomach and I suddenly found myself flung into a wall, blade still lodged in my side." They chuckled at the memory, hand over where their friend had left a permanent scar.
-
"And who is this?" Himeko asked, clearly on edge around Y/n. Having never seen this person before, she suspected them to be someone from either Jarilo VI or worse case scenario, a Stellaron Hunter. Even Pom-pom was hiding from them. The same way the little bunny hid from a Stellaron Hunter.
"This is Y/n, they're trying to find a way back to their homeworld. A planet named Remnant." 7th explained, much to Himeko's disapproval.
Himeko turned to Dan Heng and asked if he was sure they could be trusted, "I don’t see why they wouldn't be.. I mean they helped with everything on Jarilo VI. Along with Stelle." He stated. Himeko still felt skeptical but alas, this wasn't her decision to make, it was Pom-pom's.
"I say they can stay.. for the time being, but you all better keep an eye on them!" Pom-pom said seriously. Himeko sighed and smiled at Y/n.
"I.. apologize for that" She said, but they shook their head.
"No, it's good to be skeptical. I don't blame you for it." After all, they had been skeptical of anyone within the Atlas military when they first arrived at Atlas. And even though they didn't like being observed, they understood the caution.
-
Over time, everyone warmed up to Y/n. Even Pom-pom liked them. They always brought some kind of gift back for the little conductor. Himeko, while she had no more suspicions on them, she felt uneasy around them. There was something about their calmness. Why was someone so young, so good with combat? An 18 year old who has combat experience on the same level as a war veteran. It wasn't something she wanted to think about. She heard someone's voice from the next room over and decided to evesdrop in on the conversation.
"So.. you're telling me that in your world, kids are trained from the age of 13 in combat?" Dan Heng asked Y/n, and they nodded their head
"Yeah! See, we have these creatures named grim, they're like Fragmentum beasts but much more mindless. And they're attracted to negative emotions, so in order to protect the cities, we train the next generationof huntsmen and huntresses." They said proudly, though there was clearly something off with how they stated it. Dan Heng wasn't going to ask about it though, he felt that if he did, they would distance themself. That's not something he wanted. He had grown to enjoy their company quite a lot, so the thought of accidentally ruining that by bringing up something they weren't ready to talk about yet felt...
"I see." He smiled at Y/n. "Is that why you're such a good fighter? Would you mind training with me from time to time?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. The smile and nod he received as an answer made him smile in return, though, only a little.
-
The black fog that spewed out all over the floor of the cart brought everyone to high alert. Pom-pom stuck to Welt's side, clearly terrified of the unknown substance. It wasn't until Y/n walked into the train cart that the black ooze started forming in the middle of the room. Dripping from the ceiling down to the floor, creating a small puddle.
"Hm, and here I was, looking for.. someone else." a familiar voice rang out and Y/n instinctively got into battle stance, panic rising. "Now, now.." she spoke out again, rising from the puddle with a.. another hound?! "Do you really think you could take me on? Don't you remember what happened to poor little Summer Rose?" She smirked directly at the huntsman, "and you remember my hound, don't you? How it bested you?~"
Instead of fighting like they should, Y/n dropped their weapons, taking a few steps back, tripping and falling over themself with a scream. Salem just looked irritated. Although, the hound didn't budge one bit.
"Hm~? And here I was, about to inform you about all that has happened. How team RWBY died." She smirked to herself, "go." She said before puffing into a black smoke and the hound sprang into action, leaping at Y/n.
Too frozen in fear, Y/n could only watch as the hound pounced at them.
Then something knocked it away to the side. A spear. "Are you okay?" A voice asked. Who was it..? They couldn't register anyone or anything aside from the hound. Which just stood up like it was nothing.
"Kill.." It said. It's voice more feminine than the last. It's body contorted as it turned towards Y/n. "Kill.. silver eyes.." It said again, walking towards them.
"Y/N! SNAP OUT OF IT!" yelled a woman, loud enough to shock the young huntsman out of their fear. Himeko. Then they noticed an arrow sticking out of its back. Multiple. They were 7th's.
"Someone! Help me blast its face off!" They yelled and got up, grabbing their sickles. Immediately, Himeko shot at the hounds face. Under it was a young woman. Far to familiar for comfort. It looked almost like..
...
...
A blinding white light filled the room as the grim disappeared into dust. Only human bones remained. No.. this was a faunus. She had a tail. Their breath was choppy.
"What... who.. what was that..?" Pom-pom asked, still hiding behind Welt. "Y/n..? Y/N?!" was the last thing they heard from the conductor before collapsing.
-
Their eyes fluttered open, looking around the room. Dan Heng was asleep next to their bed. The conductor was also there, though it looked more like they had just walked in. "H-hello, Pom-pom.." their voice was hoarse, but it still made the little bunny look up with glee.
"Oh! You're awake!" Pom-pom exclaimed, placing the tray with tea that the huntsman only now seemed to notice. "I was hoping that you would wake, so I made some tea. Perfect timing, really." The little conductor smiled at Y/n. "Oh, could you wake Dan Heng? He's been worried sick, hasn't left your side since the incident. He can join us for tea!"
"No need.." Dan Heng's head raised from his position, his eyes just barely opened. "To wake me up I mean." He added, realizing that they might have thought he meant the tea part. "I'll gladly join you both for tea."
Pom-pom made one cup for each of them, handing it out to Dan Heng and Y/n. This was so calming, but Y/n didn't really remember anything, so wasn't sure why they were in the medical cart. Lifting their cup to their mouth, they asked hesitantly "... so what happened..? Before I passed out." It made the other two nervous, they didn't even know. All Dan Heng knew was that there was a grim and some grim woman.
"I.." he started, before pausing to collect his thoughts better. "You seemed to recognize the woman. And there was a grim, or I think it was atleast." It seemed like with what he said made the memories of that night flood back to them.
".. ruby.." They gasped, but remembered that it was a faunus, and not the powerful girl they were close friends with. A headache came on quickly, making the huntsman grip their head with agony. "Ngg..."
"Y/n?" Dan Heng reached his hand out to them, placing it over their forehead. Concern filled him as he felt how they were burning up. Though, his hand was considerably cold making the huntsman sigh with relief. "You're burning up.." he muttered.
Pom-pom handed him a glass of water, "it's for them. Cold. Hopefully it will help. I'll leave some pain killers here. I need to get back to work." The little conductor motioned to the bedside table that had a small box of meds. Dan Heng took the glass, thanking Pom-pom. The conductor nodded and left.
"Drink. You'll feel better." Dan Heng's voice rang out as Y/n felt the rim of the cold glass press against their lips. Helping them drink the water, he asked "need something for the pain?" And they nodded.
A while after he gave them a pain killer and they finished the water, they fell back asleep. He decided to put an ice pack on their head before falling asleep in the chair he was on.
-
"Finally well enough to be up and about?" Himeko asked, and Y/n nodded. It was a relief seeing the young huntsman moving around. Especially since Dan Heng seemed to be so worried about them.
"I wanted to ask.. is there a possibility that we would be able to find my home land soon..?" They didn't mean for it to sound the way it did. But the way it came out made them seem desperate to leave the crew.
Himeko definitely picked up on that, and she wasn't going to lie, it made her feel kind of sad. "Any particular reason? I get wanting to go home, but.."
"I've seen similar events happen.. I.. I just don't want to be the reason you all die.. especially not like that.." the memories had been flooding their mind ever since they woke up after Salem's attack. It had been almost a year since the platforms to Vacuo plan so they've had time to process and move on from that experience. It had been a few months since they last thought about Remnant in that way. But now that they knew Salem could reach them.. Y/n was terrified, and the nightmares had come back to haunt them.
"We deal with stellarons on a daily basis. I think we'll be fine." Stelle had randomly popped up to say her sass of the day. And while it did make Y/n smile, they still couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened on Remnant because of them and team RWBY.
"Yeah, I suppose.. but Salem.. nevermind. I just want to go home." They looked at their feet, feeling ashamed that they had wanted to leave this amazing group of people. The refused to look up, even when a hand was placed on their shoulder.
"If something like that happens again.. we- we have no idea how to stop it. We would have been dead if it wasn't for you. Please stay. We need you... I need you."
It was Dan Heng's voice. He had whispered that last part, but they could still hear it. Did he- a blush crept onto their face and finally, they looked up at him.
"You make me happy. Comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I feel happy and comfortable with everyone else here, but it's never awkward with you. I've grown to realize that I need you. Please, stay. I love you."
It was probably the most they had ever heard him say in one go. And, even with his monotone voice, they still heard the emotions he put into it.
"Did you.. have you been practicing that line?" Y/n couldn't help but smile, their blush growing. And so did his.
Feeling bashful, he looked away before answering with a small "Yes.."
"I love you too"
Finn in Twisted Wonderland
Chapter 2: Exploring Campus
A school full of teenagers and staff, but what happens if instead of a normal student being teleported, a five-year-old comes along? Along with Grim breaking in to join him of course.
It's finally done! This took forever. It's probably not perfect, especially with Finn seeming exactly his age, but I'm happy with where it is as of now and can use this experience to help with future chapters. Any feed back and/or what you want to see next is welcome, if anything at all.
First chap here
Tumblr media
It wasn't a dream. There really was a kid in his school. Crowley woke up at his desk with a few books open, proving that fact to him. What was he going to do? He had dealt with teenagers. But this kid claimed to be five years old. How was Crowley supposed to deal with a five-year-old? He did seem well-behaved, but he cried a lot. He was a young kid and probably scared, so it was understandable. It was bad enough that Crowley didn't know how to deal with such a young kid already! But, with a crying kid? That cat, Grim, seemed to target that well last night.
He stood up from his chair and headed out of his room. The room he put the kid in was right next to his, so it wasn't much of a walk. He knocked on the door. “Little one… uh…” What was the kid's name again? Finn. “Finn, you should wake up now.” How is he ever going to explain this? He accepted a kid AND monster into his school. One as a student and taking partial care of the other. But, what option did he have?
He knocked again only to hear some slight stirring on the other side of the door. He opened the door. “Finn?” The kid was already sitting up as Crowley entered. He was lying on a simple twin-sized bed with Grim sleeping on the end of the bed.
“Hello, Mister… uh… What's your name?” Wait, did Crowley not give out his name? Last night was chaotic, so it's possible that it slipped his mind.
“Oh! Crowley! My name is Mister Crowley, the headmaster of this school. I'm the one who runs it.” Is this kid really five? What five-year-old uses ‘mister’ automatically?
“Thank you!” Finn beamed at him. He was definitely a weird kid. Crowley’s face must have betrayed his confusion. Finn seemed to notice it, at least. He got really close to the other’s face as he asked, “Are you alright Mister Crowley?”
“Yes! I'm alright, but you are five, correct?” He asked while lightly pushing the kid back. Finn gave a small nod in response. “Are you absolutely sure? Entirely sure?” He kneeled to be on Finn’s level.
“I’m sure.” He gave a completely confused stare and scanned Crowley’s features. An odd kid for sure, but at least he seemed well-behaved.
“All right then… If you don't mind me asking, what do your parents do? What are their jobs?” He could be a noble's son or just raised to be extremely polite for some reason.
He must have asked a sensitive question because Finn shrunk away and silently looked at the floor for a few seconds. Crowley was about to say that he didn't say anything he didn't want to, but Finn spoke up first.
“I don't… know…” Even his words shrunk back as he continued to talk, well until he said the next sentence. “Nanny says that they have very important jobs, though! She says they sell stuff! A lot of important stuff! Stuff that Mother and Father said I will learn about later.” So, Finn WAS the son of an important figure. Probably the son of some CEOs. Normal CEOs, hopefully. He should probably tell his staff about this, maybe they can help him find a way to send the kid home. He's probably missing his parents, plus a kid of important people missing is chaos Crowley didn't want to deal with.
Wait… what was he going to do with this kid? It was the first day of school for the year. He couldn't look after a five-year-old, no matter how well-behaved. At that moment, a certain grey cat with blue flaming ears and a pitchfork tail caught his attention. He did accept Grim on the condition he would look after the kid, plus they hadn't set up a school schedule for him. He was planning to have a meeting with the teachers during midday while they were on break, and he could discuss it then. He can talk to the rest of the staff within the week about them… if they're still here.
Crowley’s hand reached over to the sleeping cat. He started shaking him awake. “Grim, get up. You have to keep to what you promised.”
“Myah…” He only muttered in his sleep, still not waking up. Must this cat be so difficult? The kid got up before him.
“Up. Up now.”
“Myah?! What is it?! You have some nerve waking me!” His head popped up off the bed it was resting, ever so lazily on.
“You made a promise to look after the kid, so keep to it! I have work to do and a meeting to schedule because of you.”
“What do you even want us to do?! The kid’s fine here!”
“I'm not letting you sleep stuck in one room the whole day! Why don't you go and explore? You two should stretch your legs.”
“We don’t know the campus! What if we get lost?!”
“There's no better way to learn! Just stay near the building and paths, and you'll be fine. I've got to do work now. Bye-bye.” Crowley stood up and headed to the door, waving at Finn who waved back. At least the kid is well-behaved. Now to see about that faculty meeting...
How dare he?! Didn't this man know who he's talking to?! The Great Grim, that's who! Fine. He should probably tell the other students they'll be studying with greatness. He hopped off the bed, standing on his back paws and motioned for Finn to follow behind. “Come on hench-human, you've gotta help me show everyone else that they'll be with greatness this year!” Hopefully, they have good stuff here at this school. They need greatness to help greatness.
“Where are we going? Are you sure we won't get lost like Mister Crowley said?” Finn was walking behind him, like a little duck following its mother, despite being visibly taller than Grim by two or so feet.
“That!… Uh,… We’ll see when we get there. And of course, we won't get lost! I'm The Great Grim! I won't ever get lost.” Grim grabbed the door that was left slightly open by the masked man, or Mister Crowley as Finn called him, and flung it open. He started marching to wherever he wanted. Finn followed trying, it seemed, to keep the same rough distance, but failing. He got distracted every so often, pausing to look at whatever caught his interest, then noticing Grim still walking and trying to catch up.
As they walked along, many people (who Grim assumed to be students) caught notice of them and started whispering. Who wouldn't take notice of the Great Grim and whisper his praises? Also, his small hench-human. He should feel so proud now. He's being seen with greatness.
They continued like this for a while until what looked like a shop caught Grim’s eyes. There were some flyers of discounted food in the windows. Grim was getting hungry and tired. Who wouldn't after walking for about an hour? He turned back to see Finn stopped in place a decent distance behind him. He was bouncing on his feet as tears were showing in the corner of his eyes.
“Hench-human? Kid? Ya’ good?” Finn’s attention snapped right back to Grim after hearing him, only to look horrified.
“I’m sorry! I’ll! I’ll keep pace! And! I won't ask to go!” His tears grew in his eyes threatening to fall and he babbled through most of his sentence. Was this kid going to cry?! He cries at nothing!
“Woah! You don't gotta cry! Let, uh, let's just go in there!” He motioned to the shop and sped away from the situation. Finn got a little shocked by the sudden speed-up then followed.
Grim pushes the door open and is greeted by a small jingling bell followed by a boisterous “Welcome!” from the other end of the shop. “What can I help you—” The man speaking trailed off as he looked around the shelves and noticed the two who entered the store. The man was dressed in a bright, almost neon-purple vest with a ribcage design. On top of that, he was wearing a dark purple, maroon-ish, blazer and a hat with parts dark purple, parts black, a red cloth, and a skull charm. On top of that, he has white bones painted over the brown skin on his neck and arms, alongside some marks underneath his magenta eyes. He seemed weird by Grim’s standards. A man seemed to be obsessed with skeletons and purple or something. Some of his braided hair was even dyed purple.
“Are you two supposed to be here? I'd love to help you two, but I can't sell anything unless you have money to buy.” He looked between them for a few more seconds. “Little imp, where's your mom and dad? You should ask-”
At this, Finn cut the man off looking around panicked. “Mother and Father don't like me calling them anything but Mother and Father!” Finn’s eyes finally went back to the man in front of him. “Even Nanny has to call them Mother and Father!”
“O…kay…? Then where are your ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ or your nanny? Shouldn't they be here with you?”
Finn pointed at Grim. “Mister Crowley said he's going to take care of me while we try and find Mother, Father, and Nanny.”
Grim cut in, making his presence known. “Myah! That's right! He needed me to watch over the kid while he worked, and I said I would and even let them teach me, The Great Grim, as a student!”
The man looking at them just stayed silent and still for a good while. Out of nowhere, he moved to grab a phone from his pocket. He scrolled on it before a bit before tapping on the screen and it started ringing. It rang for a minute or so, being the only noise in the room. Once it finished ringing a robotic voice started only for the man to hit the screen, quickly silencing it.
He stood there for another minute or so before taking a deep breath in and yelling at his phone. “Why don't you answer?! There's a whole situation going on and I’m not dealing with it with no info and after being surprised by it!” His yelling made Grim and Finn jump back slightly, only for the man to sigh and turn his attention back to them with a smile on his face. “Sorry about that! I’m Sam, the owner of the school store here. Do you need some food or something? I can always bill Crowley.” He mumbled the last bit under his breath with an amount of venom that shocked Grim. It probably wasn't Crowley’s first time pulling a stunt.
Next thing Grim knew, Sam was looking at Finn, who was looking at begging the cat through wordless puppy-dog eyes. “Little imp, you don't need to ask him. You can just have some. Crowley’s going to pay if you’re worried.”
“What?! No! Of course, he has to ask! I was put in charge! The hench-human should always ask The Great Grim!” Anything should go through him! Grim’s in charge!
“And what? You're going to make him beg for food? And also, you shouldn't call a kid a henchman or a hench-human or whatever you wanna call him!”
“I was gonna say yes! And I'm in charge I get to call him whatever!”
Sam’s attention turned back to Finn. “By the way imp, what's your name?”
At the question, his eyes lit up. He brought his hand up and started tracing symbols onto it, focusing intently, and from Grim’s point of view, what he was tracing looked like letters. “I’m Finn Lawson and I’m from Highfield, Andrila.” He finished saying the copy of what Grim heard him say before, looked back up at Sam, and beamed a huge smile at him.
“Where?”
Finn’s face turned upset at the question. He started to repeat his whole act and saying but focused far more this time. “I’m Finn-”
He was quickly interrupted by Sam, which Grim was thankful for, he didn't want to hear it again. “No no, I heard you, I just don't know where it is. I'll just ask Crowley. He owes me this information by now.” With the last bit of what he said, his face turned mad and decently scary, enough to make Grim’s fur stand on end from instinct. He felt kinda sorry for the bird man. “Anyways, as I said, I’m Sam. I own the school store here. Do you need something to eat? And you don't have to ask the cat.”
Again?! How many people were going to call Grim a cat? This whole school would know who he was soon, he was sure of that. “I’m not a cat! I'm the Great Grim! You better learn that. It will soon be in history!”
Sam seemed unfazed by what was just said to him, offensively unfazed, in Grim’s opinion. “Right right.” He then turned back to Finn. “You want to eat anything? I have everything in stock, though the most I have for heating things is a microwave. Some microwaveable soup or noodles might be nice if you didn't have breakfast.”
The kid thought for a second, looking between Grim and Sam. Eventually, he said with a beaming smile, “Yes, please Mister Sam.”
The newly dubbed ‘mister’ paused for a second. “Thanks for calling me mister, very thoughtful of you, but you don't need to do that with me. Just call me Sam. You aren't one of the students, just a kid. How old are you anyways?”
“Five.”
“You sound a bit old to be five. You sure?”
“Mother and Father said I needed to treat everyone proberly.” Pride emanated from the kid. So much that it almost made Grim burst out laughing after he didn't even say ‘properly’ correctly, even with the bravado.
“Well, that's nice. That's a good lesson. Do you want something to eat? I've got some soup I can microwave for you if you just sit over there.” Sam pointed at a tall but thin metal table with two matching stools. Next to it is a table with a microwave, plastic utensils, and some napkins. There was even a small sink. Everything Grim saw seemed completely decked out with whatever was needed.
Grim and Finn made their way to the small table while Sam went over to one of the shelves to grab something. Grim jumped up onto his chair and stood, changing the table from eye height on all four, to chest height standing on his back two legs. Then he looked at the kid on the opposite side of the table from him. The seat of the chair was level with his eyes, and try as he may, Finn couldn't lift himself onto it with how wobbly the chair was. Poor kid. If only he was more like The Great Grim, no height could defeat him then.
Sam appeared behind him, putting two decently sized plastic containers with thick lids on the table, then lifted the kid onto the seat. “Right, so you just need to let this microwave then cool down for a bit.” He opened one of the lids, letting Grim notice the holes it had circling a bit away from the center. He peeled a thin layer of plastic off then put the lid back on, finally putting it in the microwave for a few minutes before putting it in front of the kid. “Let that sit for a while and I'll get you a spoon. I'll first give the cat his so just sit for a second,” he said all of it while doing the same actions for Grim’s soup.
Grim put his hands on the table as Sam turned to put the second soup in the microwave. “Hey! I'm not a cat! I'm-”
“The Great Grim, yeah. I got that.” Sam turned back to them, grabbing two spoons, while putting Grim’s soup in front of him and giving him an extremely unimpressed expression. “Both of you, blow on it before eating, it's still probably a bit hot.”
They both immediately dug in, and it wasn’t too long until Grim was done. Just this wasn't enough! He raised his voice to get Sam’s attention who was looking at them behind the nearby counter while organizing some things. “Hey, you! Can ya get me more? I'm still starving.”
“You're already done?! And no, if you want more, pay for it. You already got one free and one is a fine breakfast.”
Seriously? Only one could never be the lavish breakfast Grim deserved. And he said he understood how great Grim was. The wait for Finn to finish felt like hours, and he was so done with this place. Can he see the rest of the school that was graciously allowed to teach him?
As if his wish was heard, Sam piped up. “Hey, you two. I need to go to the bathroom for just a second. You two just stay there.” He hurried to then disappeared behind a door with a toilet symbol and the word ‘Bathroom’ above it.
Hopping off his chair Grim decided it was enough of this place. His wishes were already answered, so best to use this opportunity. “Right kid, time to go.”
“What? But Mi- Sam just said to stay here!” Finn grabbed onto the seat with confusion and fear plastered over his face.
“He's known us for only a few minutes and the Headmaster himself said I'm in charge, so what I say goes. So, let's go.” Grim started to the door and he heard the kid jump down and shuffle to follow him.
Grim took Finn a distance away from the shop. Every step further only made him want to freeze. Grim was put in charge, but Sam was an adult, and you always have to listen in to adults. At least that's what he was always told.
There were many people scattered around the halls and lawns. Do all these people just like waking up early? Was the usual wake-up time here different? Finn guessed he would usually be woken up around now, but a lot of people were already up.
Finally Grim stopped on a stone path with two rows of statues just in front of them. They all looked so pretty. Who were they? On one side, there was a lady in a crown holding a stick topped by a heart, an octopus lady holding out a paper, and a man with lion ears and a big scar. On the other side, there was a lady in a long dress holding an apple, another lady with horns in a cloak holding a stick topped by a ball, a man with a tall hat holding a stick topped by a snake, and a man with a flowy robe and fire hair.
Grim ran up to one of the statues, jumped on the block the statue of the person was on and turned back to Finn. “You know, they'll have a statue of me here one day too!”
Finn looked at Grim, then at the statues, then back at Grim. He didn't fully believe Grim, but he was taught never to deny those in power, and Grim was told to be in charge by Mister Crowley, an adult.
He walked up to Grim and the statue. “That's cool…” Finn’s lies are almost always obvious, and Grim clearly picked up on it. Ignoring Grim’s obvious displeasure, he reached out and touched the statue. The stone it was carved out of was rough and dense. It was a statue of a lady in a very fancy dress that reminded Finn of what he had seen from people visiting his house. She also had a crown. On top of all of that, she held a long stick, one that would be tall enough to hit the ground of the statue base she was placed on if she weren't holding it up. It has a heart on the very top of it, right above where she was holding it. It reminded Finn of the canes he'd seen before every so often but without the normal handle. “Who is she?”
“Dunno, looks rich with the crown and clothes.”
“You don't know the Queen of Hearts?” A voice from behind Finn spoke up. When they turned to face the source, it turned out to be a tall and lanky boy dressed in the same black outfit as all of the other nonadults they had passed before. He had messy short red hair and a red heart on the outside corner of his left eye.
Grim hopped down from the statue and walked closer to the boy standing in the middle of the stone walkway. “Queen of Hearts? Is she some kind of big deal?”
“She was a queen who lived in a mazelike garden of roses, long, long ago. She was really strict and wouldn't tolerate even a single rose off-color. Her whole kingdom was madness, but not one subject would defy her. Because if they did, it was immediate decapitation!”
“Wha?! That's seriously messed up!”
“Pretty cool, right? I'm a big fan. Like who would obey an only nice queen?”
“Yeah, true. Leaders should be strong. But anyways, who‘re you?”
“Ace. First-year of Heartslabyul starting today. Nice to meetcha!”
“Grim, the greatest mage ever to live, and this is my hench-human, Finn!”
Finn gave a very small and quick bow and shuffled behind Grim, which didn't do much considering Grim’s lack of height. He stared at the ground trying to avoid looking at the new person in front of him.
“Neat names. Also, going back to the first thing, do you know who any of these statues are?”
Finn looked back up at Grim, seeing him looking at all the statues before he looked back at Ace and spoke. “Nope. Notta one.”
Ace pointed at the furthest statue in the same row. The one with a man who had long hair braided into many parts, lion ears, a lion tail, and a big scar over one of his eyes. “That one’s the King of Beasts, he wasn't born to the throne but gained it through smart plans and schemes. When he became king, he gave the Hyenas equality and let them live on the same lands as everyone else.”
He pointed at the statue in between the Queen of Hearts and the Kind of Beasts. It was a lady with octopus tentacles instead of legs, a seashell necklace, and she was holding a partly open paper in one hand. “Sea Witch who lived in an underwater grotto. She gave her whole life to helping merfolk in need of whatever. Just with a price, that was a tad steep.” Ace then started on the other row, pointing them out starting furthest to closest.
First was a man in a long robe with fire hair, revealed to be the King of the Underworld who worked tirelessly to keep the Underworld in check, despite never asking for the job.
Second, a man in a different robe that had pointy shoulders, another long stick but this time topped with a snake, and a tall hat. He was told to be the Sorcer of the Sands, an advisor to the bad Sultan But through smarts, he revealed a swindler trying to trick the princess.
Third, a lady with a horned hood, a long cloak, and another held stick but this topped with a small ball. She was the Thorn Fairy who lived on a magical mountain. She was an extremely strong and powerful ruler, even compared to the others. She could make storms, cover her kingdom in thorns, and even turn into a dragon.
Fourth, and last, was a lady in a long robe and a crown and who was holding out an apple that looked like something was on it making a skull. She was revealed as the Fair Queen who was a ruler who put everything into whatever she did, even her looks, which she checked daily. She was also known as a master of making poisons.
“All pretty cool, right?” Ace had pride written all over his face after his little lecture. “Not like some little cat.”
“Myah?! What was that?” Grim’s fur stood on end, and even from behind him, Finn could see and feel small yet burning-hot flames coming out of Grim’s mouth at every word.
And at this, Ace burst out laughing. “Pfft! Hahaha! I- I can't anymore! Hahaha! Are you clueless?! The kid might have an excuse, but who beyond kindergarten doesn't know the Great Seven? You need to go back, kitty? Hahaha!”
“What did you just call me?! I'm Grim! The Great Grim! Not some cat or kitty! You should be groveling!” The flames were coming out only bigger and hotter. A lot hotter. Finn stepped back, away from the flames and the now growling Grim. Grim wasn't just a cat. Grim was who chased Finn through a long hallway. Grim has as much fire as he needed one breath away. Grim was the terrifying creature who made him so scared only yesterday.
“Groveling?! Ha! You're just some weird cat unable to even name history’s biggest figures! Anyways, I gotta go. This has been a blast. Byyyeeee!” Ace turned around and started to walk off, only to stop in place as a fireball shot by his head.
Finn turned around and ran to the statue furthest from them. He almost dove behind the lion-man statue and brought his knees to his chest and arms over his head while covering his ears. Tears immediately welled up in his eyes and his heart pounded in his chest as fast as it could. None of the sounds he heard went away from covering his ears, it only muffled. He tried to close his eyes but all he could see was the hallway he had run from Grim and the fire.
There was so much yelling. Some from Ace. Some from Grim. There was even the heat from Grim’s fireballs shooting by with high-speed wind moving them around. Whenever one of them hurled by, Finn’s eyes shot open showing more and more people crowding around yelling and only adding to the sound.
It went on for what felt like forever until one loud voice smashed through all others, enough for Finn to make out. “ENOUGH!” It created pure silence, allowing Finn to uncover his ears and open his eyes to see Mister Crowley and Mist- Sam push through the crowd. Sam spotted Finn and ran up to him, lifting him, clutching him to his chest, and started rubbing his back.
Mister Crowley stamped a larger key, one that was almost half his height onto the ground. “What is going on here?”
Finn turned his head to see through blurry, tear-filled eyes, the previously fighting duo scared and unmoving in front of the headmaster next to a black, charred, statue of the Queen of Hearts.
