This page comes with another announcement. Remember a couple weeks ago when I announced there would be a hiatus after February 14th? Well...actually the hiatus will begin after February 21st.

Somewhere during my preparations, I miscounted or imagined there was an extra week in January or something. Whatever the case, I was wrong and it turns out I actually have enough pages left to update three times in February instead of two. So that's the new start-date for hiatus. My bad. Couple of ocs that are finally seeing the light of day

Caique and Seastar are part of a story set in the early 2000’s. They used to be friends when they were teens but after an incident that resulted in Seastar’s parents death, they went separate ways.

Now, almost 30 years later they’ve crossed paths again and need to learn to cooperate in order to solve a mystery and get out of a killing loop.

Maybe a full story will come out of this?

Along with this week's comic, I have a few announcements: Holly & Macy will be going on hiatus after February 15th 2024. More info about this under the cut:

This hiatus is for a few reasons, one of the reasons being that I am getting gay married in February (omg!!). I want to take some time off to relax with my partner and do wedding stuff. It also (conveniently) just so-happens that, by mid-February HAMAEE will have reached page 51 of Chapter 4. Usually once I've drawn ~50 pages the chapter has ended and I take a break + hiatus. This chapter is twice as long, so it won't end after page 51, but I still need a break from drawing. I can definitely tell that I am getting to the point where I need a break, haha. TwT And so, for the longevity of the comic and the health of my wrists, I will take a break from posting after February 15th. I have taken hiatuses in the past, and they typically last 5-7 months. Holly & Macy will likely return in late 2024.

I know Feb 15th is still a month away, but I want to give you guys an ample heads-up about this. Going on hiatus in the middle of a chapter is unusual for me, but I believe this is in the best interest of the comic overall. I've chosen a narrative moment that I feel is a satisfying stopping-point for the time being. And of course, the chapter will continue when I come back.

Thank you for the time you spend with HAMAEE. I hope it's an enjoyable reading experience. I'll see y'all again next week!

This is the second time Oliver has approached James specifically to request assistance. After he approached the police man and saw him perform an arrest the first time, he came to the conclusion that James is a human who would be good to have as backup just in case... James is confused, but the tiny man who keeps asking him for help always ends up leading him to people who are in need of help, so he goes along with it.

But of course, they become friends. And Oliver, as per usual, takes things too literally.

James offered his pocket, but Oliver prefers being mobile and unrestrained when possible. Having the borrower standing on his shoulder is slightly nerve wracking though...

In her home in Ashenvale, Caerisia has a small room full of silk threads and webs, that gather moonlight droplets. Using them, she can compare the position of the droplets with the stars in the sky and have some kind of answer to her questions - it is a type of divination magic used by the Druids of the Silk. But the only answer she wants, she doesn't get. Caerisia and Verannor are searching for 3 lost green dragons, but they discover that another person is - for some reason - searching for them too. And not with good intentions. This is leaving her very frustrated, which makes Verannor worried. Caerisia can be very insistent and vindicative when provoked. And not because of the Night Warrior blessing - the elves who decided to carry it, made by their own volition, because it resonated with what they think and feel. She'll do wherever she needs to do to not let these dragons being hurt, which in turn can hurt her instead.

A (kind of failed) sketch which gained context, connected to the story of these two. I only have pieces of that story still, but I'll write in full someday.
