HOW THEY MEET

giyuu arrives at the location for his mission

it was reported that a lower class family had been turned into demons and were recking havoc on the small town they lived in

at nightfall giyuu approaches the home of the demon family and is greeted by the father and mother

as well as a human child

the two demon parents toy with the child

pushing her to the ground

pulling her hair

but when the father raises a clawed hand to her

giyuu takes the opportunity

before the strike can land on the childs face

the demons heads have already hit the ground

the child stares at the severed heads with a blank look

immediately giyuu is kneeling in front of her to block the line of sight

and he is assessing the damage done to her and asking

"do you have other family?"

the girl stays silent but shakes her head

he stands abruptly causing the child to flinch and his eyes soften

by now the sun has begun to rise and the bodies of the demons are gone

giyuu walks into the house to find anything of necessity for the child

and he is disgusted to see that even though the family had no obvious lack of money

the child was provided NOTHING of importance

feeling a small hand latch onto his haori he looks down

and with a sigh giyuu is carefully picking her up and beginning the walk back his estate

THEIR RELATIONSHIP

several months after the incident a meeting is called with the hashira

before leaving his estate Giyuu receives a letter

taking it from his crow and quickly reading it Giyuu walks to the backyard

sitting there amongst the flowers is the young girl he saved

he walks to her and reaches out a hand to help her up

she takes it, stands, and then motions for him to lean down

he does

and then she plops a flower crown on the top of his head

its messy and its more stems and leaves then flowers but giyuu allows it

together they leave the estate and begin the travel to the butterfly mansion for the meeting

standing outside of the mansion the child digs her heels into the ground due to her nervousness stopping giyuu in his tracks

he kneels to her height taking the makeshift crown from his head and placing it on hers

and then reaches out a hand

she takes it and then he opens the door to the mansion

MEETING THE OTHER SLAYERS

as the door opens and they step into the room hand in hand all heads turn to them

a small women with purple hair and a teasing smile is the first to speak, "you're late Tomioka"

before the other slayers can add to her comment

a man with a gentle voice speaks "he is late because I had a last minute request for him"

he turns to Giyuu

"is she here?"

the other slayers murmur their confusion

Giyuu just gently tugs the hand of the girl and pulls her from behind him with a "she is"

The man introduces himself as the leader of the demon slayer corps and then asks for her to be introduced to the other people in the room before giving a gentle smile and leaving

The slayers go around the room introducing themselves

Tengen, Mitsuri, and Obanai were nice enough

Muichiro was kind but reintroduced himself 3 times because he forgot what was happening

Sanemi was intimidating and angry

Shinobu was also very nice but the girl didn't like how she interacted with her adoptive parent so rudely

and Kyojuro was a bit too loud

soon enough the girl finds herself sitting in the lap of the love hashira having her hair braided while the rest of the hashira are poking fun at Giyuu

the girl sits there silently watching until Sanemi takes it a step too far

"the poor girl probably doesn't even like you! i sure fucking don't. she's probably miserable staying with y-"

"don't be mean to him!"

silence

its the first words she spoken since she walked through the door

running and latching onto Giyuu's leg she glares at Sanemi

"the only person I don't like is you!" before hiding her face in Giyuu's leg

no one says a word

until Tengen bursts out laughing lol

quickly Sanemi becomes the victim of teasing and Giyuu and the child are forgotten

Giyuu kneels down to her and puts a hand on her head

gives her a small smile quick enough so that no one else sees

picks her up and they head back home together

Shinjuro held you in the air and examined you. Kyojuro left you with his father while he and senjuro went to the market.

Leaving you with a former Hashira wasn't a good idea in hindsight but who would kill a child.

"Half human half demon huh?" He muttered to himself as he watched you move in his arms.

He lowered you to where you were nestled on his chest and he laid back.

Shinjiro and kyojuro came back to see you and their father asleep on the floor in your room.

Giggles could be heard in the Tengen ousehold as it was dinner time.

Tengen was rolling on the floor with you as the girls made dinner.

"Hope the both of you worked up an appetite." Hina came in giggling at her husband on his back with you on his stretched-out feet.

"Ahh lord Tengen you have to be careful with them. They're just a child." Suma came in fusing over to pick you up

Obanai didn't know how to take care of a child so he went to the closest person he knew, Mitsuri.

"Aww look how cute Obanai they eat human food." She gushed as she feed you.

Obanai watched in adoration as he couldn't help but think about how good she is with kids (people in general)

"Cool." Such a shallow response that held back everything he actually wanted to say.

"What am I supposed to do with you." Sanemi muttered as you crawled all over your temporary bedroom (a small room he didn't know what to do with).

"what do you eat?" He kneeled down to your height. You crawled up to him, using his knees to try and stand.

He poked your stomach causing you to lose balance and fall. You stared up at him, He stared down at you.

you started to huff.

'oh no' the thought 'they're gonna cry'

and cry you did. You screamed your lungs out as he tried everything to calm you down. He even tried to feed you his blood, which only made you scream louder.

He got you to calm down by giving you Ohagi. Turns out you love it almost as much as he does.

"Time to go to bed Y/n." Giyuu said as he watched you play with your toys for like two hours.

You turned to him before giggling. Unfortunately for Giyuu, you knew how to run. You stood up and got ready for an unwanted game of tag and hide n seek.

"Don't even try, It's time for bed." Giyuu also got ready as this isn't the first time this happened.

In fact, this happens most nights and Giyuu is always the winner.

You ran out of the room with Giyuu close behind you. You rounded the corner at full speed. Too much speed. You hit the wall. Giyuu was quick to pick you up.

"This is why we don't run in the house." He comforted you by rubbing your head and bringing you to your room. You were asleep in his arms as he laid you down.

All Muichirou wanted to do was train but since you were assigned to him his attention was all on you.

Currently, the 2 of you were having a staring contest as you both ate. You copied his movements, and he would just watch.

You never cried, screamed, or made much noise. You and Muichirou got along great.

He brought you to every Hashira meeting and he let you do your own thing.

prologue

giyuu tomioka is a very quiet man. he rarely says anything and prefers only to speak when absolutely necessary. being the water pillar, no matter how undeserving he feels of it, is his position.

one faithful night, he was given a mission. he did as told and followes his kasugai crow to the location wherein he was to slay the demon. he finds that he was too late and that the entire village was in ruins. in a quick response to the situation, he slays the demon and looks around to see the damage done.

checking every house, he finds everyone slaughtered. everyone but you. he tries to assess your condition. looking around, he sees three bodies. a male, a woman and a girl.

he comes to you and crouches. “uhm. who are they to you, kid?” he asks, an awkward aura filling the room. to you, it seemed he didn't know what to do with a child. you weren't surprised. your parents didn't either.

“m-my parents..the other girl is my older sister...” you mutter. he comes in a little closer, making you flinch. “it’s okay. i- uh- i won’t hurt you.” his voice sounded so calm. like the tranquil lakes of your home. or the serenity of the sky at night.

still shocked at the situation, he ponders what to do with you. with what you witnessed, and at your age too, you may just end up like him. labeled as insane. that was something that won’t go away easily. he didn’t want you to go through it. “what’s your name?” he asks you.

“i’m [name]…who are you, sir?”

“I’m giyuu tomioka. would you like to come with me, [name]?”

your eyes widen at his question. was he being serious? he wanted to take you in? in the spur of the moment, you nod. though you felt as if you wouldn’t regret the decision.

months later, you had grown accustomed to giyuu tomioka. his presence in your life has drastically changed you. granted, the trauma of what you saw was still there, but you were happy with him. you called him dad, and he didn’t get angry with it. you could hug him and he wouldn’t push you away.

you sat out in the gardens of his estate, watching the sky, as a familiar bird swoops in and drops a letter onto the man beside you. “what’s that, dad?” you ask.

opening the letter, you peer over to your side to get a glimpse (one which he gladly gave you privilege to do). it seems to have been a while since he received a letter, so naturally he was curious. he reads the contents and his eyebrows rise. it seems that master ubuyashiki has discovered of your presence and existence in his life and has invited him to bring you to his estate to meet his colleagues. he was of course, conflicted if he should expose you to their…antics. would you grow to hate him like they did him?

on the day you were set to meet the rest of the hashiras, you walk into the ubuyashiki estate gardens with your father. you hid in his haori, slightly nervous because you hadn’t had contact with much people other than the people in the tomioka estate, and of course, tomioka himself.

peeking out of his haori, he softly urges you to say hello to the people in front of you.

“h-hello. i’m [name] tomioka. it’s- it’s nice to meet you..”

Pairing: Platonic!Child reader and Giyuu Tomioka

It hadn't been more than a week ago when you had stumbled down the stairs of the old and decrepit building that you had called home, hearing the sounds of screams, unlike the usual ones that would come from mother and father fighting once again. Then to be met with the strong scent of iron, your blood running cold as you saw the mutilated bodies of what used to be your parents, a demon crouched over them, tearing into the remaining flesh. When most children would scream upon a sight, seeing their own family ripped to shreds and being eaten by such a monster, you were dull to the sensation, in a way, you believed it was karma coming after them at last.

The demon, perhaps too interested in its newfound meal, paid you no mind, allowing you to easily walk from the home, for the first time in, well, you weren't exactly sure. It had been a while. You were never allowed to play outside with the other children, and they never came to visit either.

For hours and hours you had walked, the cold nipping at your bare toes and rag covered form, dirt sticking to any available skin it could latch onto, your stomach growled, begging for nutrients as you scavenged for what could possibly be even remotely edible. And so it continued on. Sleeping where you could find shelter, eating any leftovers you could find, drinking water from puddles or rain barrels. You were cold, hungry, in pain from your head to your toes.... you were alone.

But fate seemed to have other plans for you.

The dark clouds hung in the sky, a harsh rain pouring down feeling like needles against your skin. The usually busy streets were empty, everyone seeking refuge from the storm and no business would allow you inside given your state. But, help came in the form of a stranger. A man clad in a patterned haori. Red on one side, green and yellow on the other. And he knelt down in front of your shivering form, instantly causing you to recoil back, Adults only brought you pain in your life. The beatings still fresh within your mind, and you could see a strange look pass through his eyes, his hand extending out towards you, before he spoke.

"It's alright, I'm not here to hurt you. Would you like some help?" His words seemed..... soothing, and you weren't sure if you could trust him or not. You had seen this before. Mother would be the same way. Nice. And then things got bad again. But, he didn't exactly seem like mother. No, his words were nice, his words were calm. His words were warm.

You couldn't stop the hot tears beginning to boil in your eyes, feeling them slide down your cheeks. When was the last time anyone asked if you had needed help? Picking up on the emerging tears, you were picked up by the man, his hold firm, but warm, and for once in your life, you knew what it was like to feel peace.

Giyuu could only stand transfixed as the small child curled into his arms, seeming to nestle their head into the warmth of his uniform, eyes falling heavy before they eventually closed, their breaths evening out as sleep overcame them. The state of this child, who could be no more than six, maybe even seven, their life had not been easy. He could easily feel just how light they were, the state of their clothing naught but rags, hair knotted, and from what he could see through the rags of their clothing, old injuries still in a state of healing. He couldn't leave them. Not when they desperately needed help, leading him to the only place where he knew for certain that they would feel safe, where they would get the care it is that they need.

News within the Butterfly Mansion spread rather swiftly as soon as Giyuu had made it through the doors, the small child still nestled and sleeping within his harms. Even when he tried to lay them down for Shinobu to properly examine the state of their injuries, it was noticed that the child clung onto him much tighter, face turning into a small grimace.

"It seems that they've taken a liking to you. You said you found them huddled alone in an alley?" For once, Shinobu didn't see the need to pester the water breather, which he was grateful for at the current time. The child was more important.

"Indeed. In their state, I doubt they have any proper care at any point in their life. This state of malnourishment simply doesn't happen over night and much of their injuries are older."

Giyuu seemed to hold the child much closer to him, taking over a more keen look at their state. To think that someone could actually treat a child in such a manner, it made him sick. What mattered now is that they could get this child properly cared for.

When you awoke again, the air was warmer, and the room smelled of wisteria. In a panic, your body was quick to remind you that you were still quite injured, but the feeling of something rather soft also drew your attention.

The futon you laid on was soft and comfortable, a stark contrast to the cold hard streets you had been used to, and then the wooden floor before that. Simple sleepwear now covers your small form, and your skin, it was clean. You couldn't see a single speck of dirt, your hair felt light and fluffy.

You began to feel as if this was some sort of paradise, a dream that was far too good to be true, but the sound of someone walking within the room quickly grabbed your attention and that was when you saw the same man from the day before. At least, you thought it was the day before.

His face was just as calm as when you first saw him, and in his hands, resides a steaming bowl of what looked to be a broth of sorts, one that caused your stomach to growl loudly at the delicious smell, one that caused a hint of a smile to come to the mans face as he sat down next to you.

"Wh...wh-where am I? Who are you?" It was perhaps the first set of words you had said in some time, your throat feeling dry, and words hoarse after finally being used once. It was then that the man sat down next to the futon that you still sat on.

"I am Giyuu, Giyuu Tomioka, and you are in the Butterfly Mansion. As soon as I was holding you, you had fallen fast asleep, so, I brought you here, where you would be safe. My... coworkers, I guess you could call them, helped me get you all cleaned up. Now, let's get something in that belly of yours before we talk some more, alright?" You eye the bowl that he held in his hands, before looking back to him. A part of you wanted to believe that this was too good to be true, but it was something that just felt as if this was right, that this was real, and thus, you nodded your head.

Letting him use the spoon to bring the broth to your mouth, it was very close to making you cry again. It was delicious, it was warm, it made your body relax even more. More and more spoonfuls were given until the broth was completely gone, and your belly felt full for the first time in ages. It was better than anything else you've ever had before.

And something everyone else had already seen, you had already latched onto him, even if only in your sleep. You finally felt safe. No words needed to be spoken, he may not be your biological father, but he would care for you and raise you as a father truly should.

Giyuu knew that you had a rather long road ahead of you. Your life had not been easy, but from this moment on, he vowed to himself that he would take care of you, to give you the life that you truly deserve. You knew that things would be much better for you now, with your new father, you would never have to be afraid again.

Giyuu nunca foi muito bom com crianças, ele não sabe como agir quando uma se aproxima demais dele.

A sensação de ser amado por alguém ainda é algo novo pra ele, principalmente após a morte da sua irmã e do Sabito.

E é aí que você entra: uma criança que perdeu os pais para os demônios e só não morreu graças a ele.

Isso fez com que você achasse ele incrível, o observando com um olhar de admiração por todo o caminho até a Demon Corp, onde você ficaria temporariamente.

Ser observado assim não era muito comum pra ele, mas não era algo ruim, apenas... Diferente.

Após chegarem até o mestre, você é deixado(a) aos cuidados de Giyuu até acharem algum lar definitivo pra você.

Mas isso não te incomoda, apenas te deixa mais animado poder ficar perto daquele ao qual você admira.

No início, sempre que você o tocava, ele ficava tenso e rígido, sem saber o que fazer.

Mas conforme os dias passavam, seus abraços começaram a serem retribuídos, fazendo com que você ficasse feliz ao saber que ele gostava de você.

Talvez cuidar de você tivesse sido uma das melhores coisas que já o ocorreu, e ele agradecia aos deuses por isso.

Os dias passaram e se transformaram em semanas e depois meses.

A relação entre vocês era basicamente pai e filho(a), tanto que ele até estava pensando em lhe adotar

Até que finalmente um lar foi achado.

Um casal queria adotar você, mas ele também.

Tudo dependia da sua escolha: ser adotado(a) por Giyuu, mas o risco de se tornar órfã(o) eram grandes, ou ser acolhido pelo casal, mas você provavelmente não veria o Hashira da Água novamente.

Após o mestre lhe apresentar as duas opções, a sua escolha era óbvia: ficar com Giyuu.

Esse provavelmente foi um dos momentos mais felizes da melancólica vida do moreno, e provavelmente não seria o último.

Giyuu has never been very good with kids, he doesn't know how to act when one gets too close to him.

The feeling of being loved by someone is dtill something new for him, especially after the death of his sister and Sabito.

And that's where you come in: a child who lost your parents for the demons and you have been saved by he.

This made you see him like a hero, which you observe with a admiration all over the way to Demon Corp, where you will be temporaly.

Being watched like this wasn't very common for him, but it wasn't a bad thing, its just…different.

After you talk to the master, you will be with Giyuu until the someone adopt you.

But it doesn't bother you, it just makes it more exciting to be close to the one you admire.

In the beginning, whenever you touched him, he was tense and rigid, not knowing what to do.

But as the days went by, your hugs started to be returned, making you happy to know that he like you.

You are one of the best things ever happen to him, and he thanks the god for that.

Days turn into weeks and then.

He was thinking of adopting you, basically your relationship is father and child.

Until finally a home was found.

A couple wanted to adopt you, but he want it too.

It all depends on your choice: being adopted by Giyuu, but the risks of becoming an orphan is big, or being taken by the couple, but you probably wouldn't see the Water Hashira again.

After the master presented you with these options, your choice was obvious: stay with Giyuu.

This was probably one of the happiest moments in his melancholy life, and it probably wouldn't be the last.

"you have a wife?!" sanemi yelled.

"you’re lying." obanai mumbled. "that’s sad."

"tomioka, how sweet!" mitsuri called.

giyuu’s eyes narrowed at rengoku, the bright man just smiled innocently.

"i had no idea they didn’t know," he sheepishly said.

as soon as giyuu got back from his mission, the flame hashira informed him that his wife was in the butterfly mansion. something had happened, and she needed to be taken to shinobu. unfortunately, rengoku wasn’t known for being quite—blasted eardrums will do that to a person—so the other hashira in the perimeter got to hear (for the first time) that not only was giyuu NOT single, he was MARRIED.

they ended up following him through the halls, pestering him with questions until they reached the room you stayed in. your husband ignored them like usual, the only thing on his mind being your well being.

his nerves were calmed, however, immediately upon seeing you laying in bed, a smile on your face as you chatted with shinobu.

"how are you feeling?" giyuu’s tone was soft as he blocked you from the prying eyes of the other hashira in the doorway. he made his way towards your side.

"tired." you smiled at him, letting your husband hold your hand and run his thumb over your fingers. "shinobu said it was a false contraction."

"it was caused by stress," your friend’s calming voice said. "makes sense, tomioka, anyone married to you would be on edge."

your husband just grumbled at his friend as you giggled. he then helped you sit up in bed, the blankets falling off to reveal your pregnant stomach to the small audience watching.

"you had sex?!" sanemi screamed.

oblivious to the small mass of people staring at you, sanemi’s outburst startled you, causing you to grab onto your husband’s haori. he instinctively pulled you close, his soft look switching to a death glare towards the doorway.

"hush!" giyuu seethed at him, finally giving attention to the posse. "she’s nine months pregnant; shut up."

although listening and lowering his voice, sanemi didn’t let his question go unanswered. "you’re not a virgin?"

"go away," giyuu deadpanned. "all of you, go away. now."

"it’s okay, darling," you tried to soothe him. "maybe you should introduce me to your friends."

you felt him tense up at that. he didn’t let go of your hand, and he only moved half a step away from you (half of them still couldn’t see you), and he spoke with a monotone voice. "this is my wife, y/n. she’s pregnant with our first child."

the was no verbal reaction from the onlookers, just looks of disbelief from the four of them. it felt like you were an animal in the zoo with the way they were all staring dumbfounded at you.

it took a couple minutes for shinobu and rengoku to get the others out, leaving you and giyuu alone in the room. as soon as the door closed, your husband grabbed your face and peppered kisses all over it, causing you to giggle. he took a seat on the edge of the bed to be closer to you.

"i’m so sorry," he said, kissing your lips. "i’m sorry i wasn’t here."

"it’s okay, baby." you let your head rest on his shoulder. "i’m just glad i didn’t give birth."

"i would never forgive myself if i was gone for that." giyuu’s hand ran up and down your back comfortingly.

you sigh in relief, turning your head to place a kiss on his neck.

"well now that you’re here, let’s get this baby out of me."

♥whichever one it is, she actually does start loving him more when he shows her how to do makeup. You scolded both of them for wasting all your makeup but at least the two got some bonding time in.

❥tengen doesn’t at all mind that you already have a kid. He even seems you ‘flamboyant’ for remaining such a good mom.

You pointed at Uzui, laughing while slightly clutching your stomach. “Don’t even say anything!” Tengen yelled out to you the moment you opened your mouth.

❥this man hates children. But he loves you. So he’s in a little bit of a crisis. But he immediately chooses to deal with it and prays the kid is well behaved.

“but he’s scary… even the snake is less weird than him.” Your child huffed while crossing their arms.

“Please?” You pleaded while putting your two hands together, hoping they would agree. A long and over-dramatic sigh left your child’s lips before they reluctantly stood up.

You smiled happily, standing up and taking the seven year olds small hand. You could tell they were nervous. It made sense. Obanai didn’t always give off a comforting sort of aura.

Iguro saw the two of you coming and fixed his posture. You smiled and sat down with your child at your side, holding onto your arm.

“so are you like…a human snake?” They asked with a head tilt making obanai’s eyes widen at the silly question. “What’s your snake’s name?” They quickly changed the question, noticing the weirdness of the previous question.

“Kaburamaru.” He responded simply as the white snake made its way to your child, making her breath hitch.

“kabuakaru?” They repeated while looking confused at the unusual name.

“no,no. Kaburamaru.”

“That’s what I said. Kabuakaru.”

You heard Iguro let out a small chuckle at your child’s sassiness while they eyed the white snake.

˚ʚshinazugawa sanemiɞ˚

❥sanemi can handle kids to a certain extent. It doesn’t mean he always likes them. But he doesn’t care about you having a kid.

♥what he does hate, though, is how much your kid reminds him of his little brother, genya.

❥shy, caring, nice. Your child reminds him so much of when Genya was younger. He acts like he hates it but in general he loves the feeling it brings him every time he see’s your child.

♥your son, on the other hand, found sanemi intimidating. Yes your son enjoys hanging out with him on some occasions but on others…

Sanemi paced around angrily around you home, your son following him around. You had been out buying groceries for dinner and wouldn’t be back for a short while.

It was a bad time for you to be out. Sanemi stumbled upon such a stupid demon slayer and even though it was half an hour ago, he still couldn’t calm down.

Especially with how incompetent the slayer had been acting.

“And who did that idiot of a slayer think he was? Acting like he was better than me.” Sanemi grumbled while completely annoyed, now basically stomping around your house.

Your child snickered at Sanemi’s annoyance, copying his moves and stomping around as well.

Suddenly, the hashira stubbed his foot on the leg of your table. “FUCK!” He exclaimed, cringing at the painful feeling he felt.

“Fuck!” Your child exclaimed as Sanemi’s eyes widened.

“No, mini Genya don’t say that!”

“fuck…who’s genya?”

“that doesn’t matter! Don’t say that.”

❥gyomei is quick to feel sorry for you being a single mom but he doesn’t care about it himself, he’ll still want to stay with you and is even excited to meet your kid.

♥your child is quick to be intimidated by Gyomei. But is just as quick to love being around him.

❥your child especially loves receiving piggyback rides from Gyomei.

♥or simply being held or carried by him. But honestly, who wouldn’t enjoy it.

❥especially when you get to brag about being tall when in reality your just on someone’s back.

You giggled, watching your daughter get lifted up and onto Gyomei’s shoulders. The three of you went to a nearby festival and she started telling you that her feet were hurting.

Now she was lifted up into the air, exclaiming at how she could see everything from up there.

Gyomei suddenly moved your daughter to his left shoulder before picking you up, earning a yelp from you.

Before you knew it, you were set on Gyomei’s right shoulder as he continued walking around with the two of you on his shoulders.

You smiled at the beautiful sight of all the dimly lit lights and the multiple people having fun or sitting and eating while chatting away.

❥ “but…I don’t remember having a kid with you?”

♥sometimes he forgets that the you’re a single mom. Which leads to him believing your seven year old daughter is his child.

❥it also quickly leads him to believing the two of you are married to each other.

♥other than that, he likes your child. Although she gets easily frustrated with Muichiro’s forgetfulness. But she does use it to her advantage sometimes.

❥another reason your daughter loves him is because of his hair. She loves playing around with it even if sometimes she accidentally knots it.

Your daughter let out an excited squeal as she grabbed onto your hand and led you over to her room where Muichiro was already waiting.

Muichiro noticed you and gave a small smile as your daughter made you sit right next to him.

“What are we doing again?” Muichiro asked, tilting his head as he watched your daughter gently brush through your nice hair.

“She’s making us play salon.” You laughed, watching as the young girl moved to Muichiro and did his hair in a messy braid after doing the exact same to yours.

Suddenly the girl ran out the room, explaining she’ll be right back.

“You look nice with your hair braided.” Muichiro told you before leaning in and planting a kiss on your right cheek. You smiled as he then kissed your left cheek.

❥she doesn’t at all mind that you already have a kid. She’s willing to commit even if it means you already have one.

♥shinobu immediately thinks your child is adorable. And your kid immediately starts loving shinobu’s calm company.

❥she’s surprisingly a big kid expert and knows how to handle them well.

♥and that’s probably why your kid loves being around her so much. Her calm and happy persona is something a lot of people can grow fond of.

“Mom Kocho, can you play doctors with me?” Your kid asked while tugging her haori with pleading eyes as shinobu was cuddling close to you.

“how about you play with kiyo, Naho, and Sumi? I’m a little busy.” Shinobu replied, dozing off while holding you gently.

“alright!” Your child exclaimed before running off to explore the butterfly mansion.

You smiled, cuddling Shinobu back as your smile widened.

❥are you kidding? She’s literally so excited to meet your kid. And she admires that you’re such a good single mom!

♥she literally treats your kid so good!!

❥she spoils them so much, bringing things back from missions for both of you and bringing back candy for your kid!

♥mitsuri loves playing games with you and you’re kid, especially when it comes down to tag

❥she purposefully loses arm-wrestling games to your kid and loves seeing their happy face when they win.

♥your kid admires her so much for being able to eat such big portions of food.

“an eating contest?” Mitsuri questioned happily at your suggestion while staring at all the food you prepared in the kitchen.

You nodded your head enthusiastically, matching her energy perfectly. “It was my idea!” Your seven year old cheered, already running over to sit at the table.

Mitsuri squealed, grabbing your hand and pulling you over to the table to follow her.

“3, 2, … 1!”

The three of you began eating the food quickly. Your child only lasted two bowls in, you managed to eat five bowls. And of course, Mitsuri ate everything else.

“I win!” Mitsuri cheered before letting out a sheepish laugh at the multiple empty bowls that covered the table.
