AN-There were two people that wanted ones that were similar to this topic I'm going to write all of them but a different scenario bc i LOVE ANGST
You and Trevor have been arguing back and forth for a little while now in the middle of your living room.
“Trevor you can't keep picking fights it's not okay”you told him he was acting like a child right now not able to own up to what he was doing “ Trevor you could get hurt! seriously hurt!”
“y/n I'm fine I'm not going to get hurt” he yelled with one hand on his hip and the other Moving anytime he talked. His nostrils are flaring as he took deep breaths Trevor was very frustrated his hair was a mess from running his hand through it which was a habit when he got over emotional.
“ Trevor”You Sighed you wanted this to end “You get into a fight almost every single game why can't you just let it go”
“Let it go? LET IT GO!” He yelled “you don't hear what they say on the ice y/n, trust me if you heard them you'd be acting the same way I would be” He argued again
it was like arguing with a wall, you were so frustrated your eyes started to tear up. A frustrated grown left you as you ran your hand down your face
“Trevor please” You pleased “I cant keep doing this” you turned and walked back to the bedroom “I'm going to bed” you were too Exhausted to continue this argument you just wanted to go to get ready for bed you were almost through the doorway until Trevor's voice stopped you.
“They talk about you ok” Trevor Admitted
You paused in the doorway to look at trevor, He looked so Distraught and Worn down
“They chirp me by saying things about you ok…there so how do you expect me not to say anything”
You took a couple steps towards him now back to where you were standing before.

You stood in front of him looking down at him threw tears, Trevor grabbed the Back of your thighs pulling you into his lap.

so. according to jakei (via cornmayors twitter), xpapyrus is "the kind of person who would harvest his own food", which is pretty cute i think. ik corn has a comic abt xasriel being into gardening, and i think theres some canon stuff that might support that, too? so yeah neat, papyrus and asriel/flowey friendship prevails!! they have a common interest/hobby, thats pretty cute, yknow?
but like. i was thinking, right? what would make xpap want to garden? not that he necessarily needs a reason, but..
and i mean the (possible) explanation is pretty damn clear. its been shown before that xgaster doesnt care abt his kids and doesnt seem to provide for them most of the time. im guessing they went hungry a lot as kids.
and like xpap has been shown to be more outspoken, defying orders and/or talking back on multiple occasions (sometimes making cross step in to "correct" him to avoid or at least soften xgasters wrath), so i think if he was hungry hed just say it, and depending on his mood xgaster would either tell him thats not his problem or begrudgingly give them something (or make xalphys go buy food or cook or whatever)
but cross? cross wouldnt say a fucking word. he could be dying of starvation and hed say hes just fine to avoid the potential punishment of "inconveniencing" xgaster
so like. im thinking. what if xpap started growing his own food because he didnt want to be so dependent on someone who couldnt be assed to provide for them? because he was tired of going hungry and being punished for trying to get the only person who could do something abt that to actually... do something? because he was tired of seeing his brother suffer in silence because he was too scared to say anything?
i can see him finding some like.. tomato seeds or something. maybe just planting a slice from food xgaster finally brought them in the hope that it grows into a plant eventually. cross would definitely help him care for the plants. maybe xalphys would occasionally bring him books about gardening or new seeds or just tell him general knowledge so he could more successfully grow things.
idk like. we see a lot of cross caring for xpap (bc of course he would, hes his older brother), but xpap explicitly caring for and providing for cross in return makes me bash my head into the wall /pos like ik thats normal. to yknow. care for and provide for your family. but god damn.
they make me violently ill.

UGHHHHHHHHHH i love it when younger siblings take care of the older ones,,, ugh.. .., i mean xalphys is the youngest of the three, meaning papyrus would technically be the middle sibling but yk what. that makes it better actully imo. middle sibling takes ccare of the other two.
ANYWAY yes. xpap is the most outspoken, as you said, out of them all about xgaster's mistreatment. while cross is silent and alphys is indifferent (outwardly) towards xgaster, xpapyrus is the one with the strongest sense of justice. cross is anxious, xalphys pretty much had her will to fight stripped away from her, but xpapyrus still has that spark in him, and that spark remains despite everything. he'd tell xgaster that he's hungry, because he's hungry, dammit, and if xgaster doesn't feed him, he'll take matters into his own hands. i can imagine xgaster picking a burger up for him after hours of nagging, and xpapyrus plants the whole tomato slice in a bunch of dirt in a tupperware bowl for later.
xpapyrus would defend those plants with his life if he had to because to him, as a child, i think they'd be synonymous with 'he doesn't have complete power over us. look, this is something i did on my own, something he doesn't control'. it would be the first bit of independence he's ever really had. xasriel probably helped as well because he thought it was just a fun hobby of xpapyrus' and not a means to not starve. this also probably helped cement xpapyrus and cross' loyalty to the dreemurr family,,
im ill about them too UGH.... the xtale siblings (+ chara/frisk) are my favorites ever and i just...man!!! the way xgaster abused them all in so many different ways is SO overlooked in this fandom and its my number one duty to make sure eveyrone knows how terrible xgaster is,,.!!! hes a child beater!!!!!!! cross, xpapyrus, xchara, xfrisk, and probably xalphys were beaten children!!!!!!

i say this with my whole heart, i love us broccoli nation, but anyone thinking that win is out of character based off episode 1 has inherently misunderstood his character. we saw nothing of him in uwma, nothing, and i say that bc he was nowhere near being a Main Character with crumbs every other episode. and that's ok, bc the story wasn't about him, so everything we see is surface level. he jokes, he flirts, he's not very serious - but that doesn't mean he is never serious, we just never had reason to get into that detail bc it was dean and pharm's story, not win's. we are finally seeing what win is up to while dean and pharm are in their little world, and it isn't just him being a fun loving goofy side character. it's who's he's always been, when we're shown his perspective, when we focus on his being. win isn't going to view himself as the person pharm (who has no context, just like us!) sees draping himself all over team at lunch, knowing so little that he has to ask dean if player win is a good guy for team to associate with. win is a middle child who has had to basically act as parent and mediator to his brothers, hes fiercely loyal, and is someone used to adapting to the needs of whoever he's with. that's who he's always been. he can be funny and joke with team after they've know each other a while, as we saw in uwma, but we are quite literally at the beginning here. speaking as someone who has loved and analysed win's character for years, to say they've rewritten win to be a hard-ass is just untrue. he can be more than one thing, he has layers, he has depth. he's a well written character. i know we might not be super used to that with a lot of these series lol but we won this time. so be open to getting to know him!! boun for years has put his entire heart into crafting win into a realistic, lovely person and it shows and im so happy to see win portrayed so wonderfully :))

this is very self indulgent but it is 11pm on my 18th birthday when i’m writing this and my mother is sleeping and we are in the middle of no where camping/staying in some cabins with no power or reception so i’m writing this on notes app bc i can’t sleep early so i am just up and i want to be delusional and go camping with skz (changbin but lets give them all a chance ig 🙄)
in saying that its self indulgent its more of a warning that i’m writing this reader based on me! usually i don’t do this and try to keep everything as neutral as i can (ik i still only write fem!reader but still i try make it as inclusive fem as i can be!) but for this y/n is def based on how i am camping which happens to be kinda stereotypical girl “omg im scared of bug come save me” which i know isn’t true for all fem people but it is for me and its my birthday so let me be delusional!
with that in mind, if you still decide to read these i hope you enjoy! might expand onto the maknae line if this is something that is received well? i’ve never really written headcanons so we’ll see!

like he comes well prepared, buying and packing the best gear money can get
but no matter how fancy the tent, it is no use if you can’t put it up!
using the limited knowledge the two of you have, you manage to wrangle the tent up just before dark
although this wasted all of the time you had to do any hiking or adventuring for the day. you can’t say you’re to mad to skip to the cuddling
once again, he purchased a whole lot of fire starters and fancy lighters, but the two of you still struggled to get a stable fire going
eventually though, you’re both warm and feed by the fire
he bought his guitar and plays your favourite songs for you
you’re lucky that you’re out on such a clear night, able to watch the stars and listen to your partner sing for you
after a long day of getting lost in the endless pages instruction pamphlets, its finally time to call it a night

he got a wolf and when he asked which one you were gonna get you chose a regular adult one
he was disappointed in your lack of humour but now he regrets not doing the same
the child size sleeping bag not even fighting one of his legs

no sounds of the city, no loud neighbours and none of the kids disturbing the peace!
when you wake up though its a sweaty mess, tents get so hot in the sun and waking up to a warm body pressed against you is the last thing you want!

its just him and nature (plus some cats. that man is a legit cat magnet and i am so jealous!)
he doesn’t even want to bring any of the members or his friends there
its his place, all he has to worry about is himself
and its not even a worry! he enjoys cooking so feeding himself is a simple task,,, and thats all he’s sorta required to do there
but not long after he started dating you, he realised he wanted to experience the peace of his camping with you
if he was stressed and couldn’t get away, he would turn to you. both of his stress relievers in one place would be a dream come true! (that sounds sexual, i promise i didn’t mean it like that 😭*turns 18 and writes smut right away*)
despite being there bc he’s currently stressed to the max, he can’t help but care for you still
he cooks the most delicious meals for you
lets you shower first and for as long as you want, not minding the cold water for himself if you use up the supply of the hot
and then when you’re out, makes sure you’re comfortable and warm in bed to ensure you don’t get sick on him
but its not all him caring for you! he knows this as well, loving the way you look out for him
yes he does all the cooking but you’re right by his side, helping to prepare any food he needs to create his dishes
he knows how long you shower for at home so he knows you’re conscious of him by only taking short showers despite how much he insists he doesn’t mind the cold
you’ll wait up for him while he showers, sometimes stealing his side of the bed to make sure its warm when he gets back
you even made sure to pack cat treats incase he attracted anymore strays
needless to say, camping with lee know is a break from your busy lives where you can look after each other
recharge together before heading back to work

i’ve been having to boil hot water for drinks over a gas stove
and can you imagine doing that for him while he holds the light and just makes commentary the entire time
like i imagine it going how that one vlog went with his sister where she’s cooking for him and he’s standing there pretending to help but really is being more of a nuisance than anything
but you love him for it
you’re setting up the gas tanks and dealing with fire, he can’t help but just be impressed
not only can you hold your own, but you look after him!
he always is expected to be the caretaker in relationships, being a big strong guy and all, surely he wears the pants in the relationship
but both of you have one leg each in these pants, both of you struggling to walk in the pants. its like a three legged race but worse bc now there’s 4 legs, all out of sync (in the best way possible)
you will make him hot chocolates and deal with the gas stove top
you’ll rub his head in the spa while the two of you soak in the hot water
but he’ll carry you across the river when you two go exploring, not wanting you to get your shoes wet
he’ll make sure to watch out for any mosquitos in the area, swatting them away before they get to you
hes a bit like minho, both of you looking out for each other but a lot less prepared to do so in a campsite
“yo binnie you know how to set this thing up?”
“y/n i’ve even seen one of these before today” he says as he swings around a tent pole and almost takes you out with it
but its ok bc both of you end up getting the tent up after a long while
he’s just a big baby and i want to give him a hug and make him a hot chocolate ok! it’s all i’ve been thinking about
you two wouldn’t be able to sleep so early into the night so you sneak out to go make hot chocolate’s and sit around the dying flame of the fire pit
its like your teenagers sneaking out despite having paid your bill to stay at the camp ground, knowing you can come and go out of your tent as you please
but that excitement is always something you’ve felt throughout your relationship with changbin and you can’t see it ever leaving
hyunjin
mr dramatic over here would be so distraught at the sight of any bug in the area
and news flash you’re outside in forest, there’s gonna be bugs
all jokes aside though, camping with hyunjin would be such a freeing experience!
he’d definitely use this time to unwind and really get into his painting, with no distractions he’s able to get the creative flow going and create some beautiful works of either you or the landscape around him
and if you’re a writer reading this, then you can do what i’m doing right now and take your boredom in the fact that there’s no power and write as well!
or really if you create anything (art, writing, knitting, any creative outlet!), you’d be right by him doing the same
you’d also do lots of exploring with him!
you’d set of on the hike only to stop every five minutes to look at something
if its somewhere you’ve been before or the two of you are camping somewhere you are knowledgeable about (like camping near your home town or something) then he’d ask lots of questions about the wildlife and plants around you!
but if its new for both of you then it would be so fun discovering everything together
i just imagine sitting by the river bank with him, watching as small fish and other strange water creatures swim through the rock pools
pointing to each and every little movement to make a comment about it
“yo that fish kinda looks like you though”
the comments soon lead to a water fight which ends in the two of you swimming
unlike any ocean or pool the two of you have swam in before, the current drags you down the river
you allow yourself to float for a bit before you’ll both swim back up to where you started
just chatting and relaxing against the river and all its sounds
eventually though one of you remembers all the fish/insects/creatures you saw swimming in there just moments ago and freaks out thinking about it swimming against your skin
so you retreat back to shore, having to hike back to your campsite soaking wet and cold
lots of cuddles to warm up in the tent though
both of you so exhausted you just crash
but it was such a good experience with him. like the two of you are so comfortable with each other that being in by yourselves camping in the woods is such a amazing time
(but both can’t wait to get back home and enjoy the comfort of your own bed again)

Hiiiiii! I would like to request a rambling about your WIP. Anything you've been wanting to talk about?? Yeah, I want to hear about that!!
omg hi!!!! hm okay let me see. i've been in the middle of redrafting the entire thing for the past few months so i am full of a multitude of very disorganized thoughts. i think i'll talk about my mc's mother bc i recently had so many good ideas about her (you can see her here)
things to know about Leithe. she's 5'5". I've spelled her name about half a dozen different ways through my drafts. she's really bad at lying. she's pan. i associate her with sunflowers and yellow chrysanthemums.
she was the child of lesser nobles in Ngelorim (one of 3 kingdoms that was later abandoned) and despite socially really not needing to do anything of the sort, she was a very outspoken peace advocate and proponent of strengthening the Alliance to include non-elves. (in this setting, elves aren't really like...better in any way? they just live a long time, and humans think they're sort of cowards and unreliable, due to the whole "abandoning kingdoms after magic eco-warfare caused a mass soil degradation speedrun" thing, which is remembered with a lot less nuance by human oral retellings.)
she was coppersmith (?) by hobby. that's very specific so idk for sure but she made jewelry of some variety and was like. passably decent at it. just for fun. she was halfway decent with a sword, I'm thinking maybe like a light sabre/rapier, again just for fun and because she liked staying active and like. queer woman's fixation on swords and all that.
she met idhren at some stuffy social event, where she was speaking about a probably-unpopular political stance. at the time, he was serving on the council in Linador (one of the other 3 kingdoms) as a mediator, or...maybe he was already on the larger Alliance council I need to redo the timeline. and he was immediately just so impressed because, you know, she didn't have to be saying any of that, it wasn't popular, but she didn't care. so naturally he Did Not Fucking Talk To Her. at least not on purpose. later that night he went outside for some fresh air (introvert social battery on 0%) and ran into her. and they hit it off, kind of bonded over people seeing only surface-level things about them. she was pissed off about only being seen as a pretty face and nobody listening to her words, and he was uncomfortable with the unwanted attention of people always pointing out his foreign Fairalmin accent.
they eventually became pretty close friends. don't worry about the timeline. hundred years or so lmao. a very "he fell first, she fell harder" type thing: he kind of always saw her as like a safe person, someone he enjoyed being around and who was entirely captivating as an aside, but he was perfectly content to leave it at that and never mention it. she'd only seen him as like, very serious in a quiet melancholy sort of way, sort of demure and whatever, and vaguely knew he'd been a low-ranking military officer before a council mediator, but at some point saw him sparring and in armor and was just like. "oh. ok cool. im very normal about this. fuck." i made a post of her with the "babygirl your enormous eyebags and just barely noticeable tremor have captivated me" meme and like. yeah.
at that point he was on the Alliance war-council thing I mentioned, and in a...well I hesitate to call it a relationship, with the general/warmaster leading it all. worked closely under him, they'd both experienced similar losses they hadn't really healed from, the warmaster wanted a purely physical distraction from the stress of war/his partner's death. again, Idhren was perfectly content to ignore his own feelings of wanting something more, but finally he did have to break it off just for his own sanity. honestly, he and Leithe (who were sort of figuring out their feelings by then) would've been okay with a casual poly thing if it'd been on the table.
anyways, in the war's aftermath they became a couple in earnest. at some point Therien (my mc) was born. she's a weird little fucker lmao i love her dearly. when Therien was 12, Leithe was part of some peace convoy during a nearby kingdom's civil war, and was killed when they were attacked.
idhren was like "oh my god i am not mentally stable enough to be responsible for raising a child in a healthy environment she needs to stay with my friend for a few years while I get through this" which like, not a great option, but the guy had been launched full force back into half-healed trauma response suicidal ideation so I can't blame him. my first book begins 5 years later, when Therien meets her father again and gets the chance to come home, right on the edge of another war, and gets to learn a lot about her parents on top of the usual teenage uncertainties.
(also thank you for letting me ramble about this it was very fun lol, I'm going to spend time reading up on your wip posts so I can ask questions about them as soon as I have a chance <3)

WWAAAH THIS ISSUE OH MY GOD!!!! I think i start half of my reaction-to-a-new-issue asks with "omg this issue" BUT I CANT HELP IT
LITERALLY THIS ISSUE ALMOST MADE ME CRY (in a good way). im so happy for this little blue man and his family starting to patch up some!!!
Slugpelt opening up about her trauma to her kids, i really love your portrayal on love-bombing and manipulation with Cashew. I think it's really important for things like that to be portrayed properly in media without it being romanticized. And obviously yeah SLUGPELT admits she romanticized it when she was younger because he was the only one to treat her that way and he was HERS but you dont romanticize it with your writing and !!!! literally i admire the way youre able to portray these things so well in writing so much. And honestly those lines of "he was the only one to tell me those things" and the fact that thats what got her so hooked to him,,, stung a little bit bc its like very vaguely relatable to me and auuuh my heart!! I'm glad she realized that he didn't love her but the fact that she loved him while knowing it was just a game to him hurt a bit. i was not expecting to vaguely relate to the equivalent of a middle-aged mother but slay i guess.
And Daff's reaction,,, and Slugpelt's response to that? Mannnn my HEART i love seeing Slugpelt come around and actually try to be motherly to her kids. i love her this is a slugpelt fan club.
NOW PINEPAW COMING OUT TOO!!! Dude. When i first read the line of him saying "now if were all spilling secrets.." I honestly thought of the skull thing at first. But then after like two seconds and getting a little further i was like OH MY GOD HE'S GOING TO COME OUT ISNT HE.
I have so many thoughts about that scene but I cannot materialize them into cohesive words. just. the whole thing was so well done. and im glad it went well for him. His whole spiral of "oh god i messed up why cant i just be normal and-" really hit me so hard and then proceeded to run me over twice, as someone who is gay that is often a thought process i would fall into, so seeing it portrayed in something is so validating man. but everyones reaction. slugpelt comforting him and being supportive, reassuring him its not weird, and that he's ok. asphodel having a look of guilt initially, assumably because of all of the times she would poke and prod at him for "needing to have kits some day" (call back to one of the first issues) , and then instantly teasing him over how she's seen him look at cormorant. Daffodil,,, man i was honestly worried about her at first because I didnt know how the implication of pine liking the same cat as her would come off to her, but her reaction??? priceless. literally so wholesome. i love how she just sees it as something exciting and something they can relate and bond over, i honestly wasnt expecting her to react like that but at the same time she generally does seem like a good sport so im not surprised in the end. seems in character for her. literally i love her. sweet baby child. literally the whole pinepaw coming out section almost made me cry it filled me with so much joy and love i love these silly little cats so much.
going to be thinking about this so much for the next week istg

TYSM I'm super glad you liked the issue!! I really wanted to get across Slugpelt's perspective, to help understand why she could be taken in so thoroughly by someone like Cashew. She's got virtually no support structure in her life, and has been shown pretty much nothing but rejection her entire life, so when someone actually (seems to) choose her it means a lot. And since she's been shown to be such a distant and sometimes hurtful mother, I made sure to try and show why she is that way.
Pinepaw chose to share delights instead of horrors today! He already got everything he wants to talk about with those bones outside him, and Cootstorm did ask him not to tell anyone else.
YEAH the coming out scene was really fun and cathartic to write tbh, and actually I wasn't gonna include it in my initial planning but decided I needed to. I had considered the possibility of his family reacting badly (since they do live in a traditionalist group) but in the end like... I don't want to. "Confused but supportive" feels much better narratively and character-wise. You're right about why Asphodelpaw looked guilty too, especially since she's figuring some things out about herself as well. Daffodilpaw is my sweet kitty and she may be a little confused but she got the spirit <3

ok so i have my own little canon of the whole batman timeline that ill… probably make a dif post about cause.. boy is it a lot. i know the basics timeline of how everything came to be but since I dont know all of it, i hc’d and filled in some gaps! (im SO able to adjust to real canon- i wont be a lil whiner if anything i made up doesnt fit or make sense. FEEL FREE TO EDUCATE ME… nicely.)
ALRIGHT soOO the reason I say all that is bc i feel like at one point, BABY Jay and Dick became close. I KNOOOOW I KNOW in the comics they had NNNOTHING to do with each other.. but like. imagine how cute???
so one day, Dick comes over to the manor with the intention of scooping his baby brother up. Maybe they were planning on getting a bite to eat somewhere. But then, Dick kinda springs on the idea of Jason maybe coming over to meet the titans! and at this point, I think hes with Cyborgggg, Starfiiireeee… Raven, BB.. YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE. anyway. So Jay, oF COURSE, agrees because??? meeting Dicks team??? thats the coolest thing ever?? SO they grab their food then head over to the tower and on that day… Roy decided to show up…
now PAUSE. I know this is wack aging.. bbbut I put a lot of time and brain energy into making sure this makes sense. in current day. dick is 22 and jason is 19 (i think this is WFA logic but…) so back then.. jason was like roughly 13 making Dick 16ish?? so ROY being a bit older than both of them, would be aaabbbooout imma saaay 18? ok cool ya lets go with that.
resume. jason sees roy and is all woh!! awooga!! who is this handsome stud!!!??? and roy OBVIOUSLY doesn’t entertain this tiny baby puppy crush because?? thats a child. LMAO. Roy shows ZERO interest back. i need that to be VERY VVVERRRY clear. NONE. NO INTEREST. Dick sees this and teases Jason- which Jason protests that he doesn’t like roy like that cus ew!!! liking someone!!?? gross!!!
fast forward to like- Jason coming baaack, settling in as himself and red hood.. yknow. he already has done some team-ups with the bats,, eventually he has to do one with Arsenal.
this is the first time they’ve interacted since Jays been back. Roy’s got word of Red Hood- Jason Todd, being alive and… kinda well. at first Hood was scary, intimidating, rough and kinda mean? but once they got into that hotel room they had to have because they were outta town, he got to see Jason all soft and not as scary. and truthfully? He liked it a lot. He found more and more reasons to spend time with Jay.. have team ups and missions..
then, outlaws happened and those two were together almost 24/7. They were kicking ass- and this opportunity lead to them getting to actually know each other a loooot better. Roy found himself swooning. Jason was witty, charming and so funny.. not to mention how HANDSOME he was. he felt dumb. this was dicks little brother,, he couldn’t like him? thats weird right? though.. Jay was an adult who can make his own adult decisions on if he wanted to date Roy or not… and truthfully, Jay seemed a to still be a little into him... So, jokingly, one night- the two were doing their annual playful banter and in the middle Roy decided to pull that, “You wanna kiss me so bad.” card and. Yea. Maybe they DID end up making out… and lead to more… (kori was out dw, she didn’t witness this)
from there, Roys little feelings kept growing.. and even Jasons. Jay was completely head over heels. He felt like a moron- as if his puppy crush from years prior was clawing its way back…. but every meet up, every hotel room- every trope where there was one bed… every ki..kiss.. every.. naked cuddle-
LORD!!! What were they DOING. Even if it hurt to think this, Jay assumed they were just fuck buddies. He didn’t think Roy even liked him any other way.. but HOOOO did Roy want something more. and eventually, he brought it up. he asked what they were.. jason was like YOU TELL ME??? but then they had a serious talk and by the end of it? they were boyfriends EEEE!!!
then… the domestication began… but thats for another time UH WINK.

hiiiiiiiiiii im procrastinating lol. anyway so you know how this is a hall of mirrors ass story and everybody parallels everybody? yea
sooo eric is the biggest and clearest foil to morgan bc they have.. so much in common. not quite a vampire. trying to atone for times they lost control and killed human people. badass vamp-killing machines. many such cases but the Differences are the funky bit bc on one hand morgan had a like. half-decent upbringing with parents and a house and everything, hes far from stable but the idea of emotional vulnerability isnt totally alien to him. Eric was a very lonely child in a terrible life-threatening situation who grew up into a very lonely adult in a slightly less terrible life-threatening situation.
to be clear eric does have people in his life! its just that theres only 2 of them. he got adopted by his cool butch biker mom whistler as a young teen and theyve been doing the vampire slaying thing ever since, and a few years ago they picked up a hematologist called karen jensen who fell into the "older sister" role. (okay yes like 80% of the blade-related plot was pulled straight from Blade (1998) but ignore that im doing some funky shit with it. okay.) she says shes an uninvolved civilian who provides medical aid since she owes eric a life debt, but this is a lie. shes In the shenanigans.
so like he does have his gay little found family but theres some shit they just dont Get yknow. so then once he does start trusting morgan they get. Very close . Very quickly. hes experiencing previously unknown types of human connection, including being gay in practice and not just in theory! and sure hes kinda avoidant and struggles to open up and express his feelings or establish boundaries but thats ok bc morgan is so anxious about rejection and abandonment that hes very willing to put in tons of work with being vulnerable! theyre meeting somewhere in the middle, they think! morgans only a little bit clingy and always suuuuper apologetic when he crosses those unclear boundaries! surely this is a healthy dynamic that wont collapse catastrophically due to communication problems!
anyway primary foil number 2: peter-man. as in superhero role model / the cooler super-powered role model. like pete always sees morbius as someone who needs to be helped and guided and saved and supported and first and foremost as his Responsibility. eric, at least at first, sees him as a Fucking Threat. to be understood and/or neutralized. and morgan really appreciates that! then eric learns to trust and respect him and they begin this totally-not-dysfunctional partnership of equals, its kinda cute if you ignore that its blatantly barreling towards destruction <3

lowk sad that they didn't spend more time narrating rookepeyuu's travels together. i'm sure we would've gotten a lot of good banter between them ++ taking a look at the hunt family's villas *eyes emoji*
also. rook being a middle child.....thinking on that.... but also WHEW five siblings, and they call themselves a clan ?? when epel says "the more i learn, the more mysterious you become" i am seconding his words.

ortho....did you just say there's a "bunch of phantoms" under the pillar ???? you mean there's multiple phantoms down there that STYX has frozen. and...the more pressing issue...what does he mean "you wouldn't want to end up like me" ? the whole time he was talking about the phantoms, he was...talking in this very quiet and melancholic tone.... (did ortho get hurt badly by the phantoms ? is that why he's basically a robot now ?)

so. grim is a species called direbeast with a high blot density? or they said he's a mix between direbeast n something else and to me, that reeks of experimentation...but who would do such a thing ? and his blot accumulation spikes and drops unexpectedly....maybe as a direbeast, grim is able to turn blot into a magical energy source ?
and there's traces of a...powerful spell on him ? the fire in his ears being blue isn't just a cute and silly thing and it's signs of a curse ? omg. wait do you think that grim is actually some sort of beast from thousands of years ago that got put to sleep by a powerful spell, and he just woke up now ? all this grim lore makes me wanna know more abt where he came from...
[ about : shroud family curse ]
so their curse is that blot gets incinerated the moment it accumulates within them. so the ancient shrouds led a revolt against the jupiter family using the original phantoms (whatever that means) and thus got cursed + banished to the island of woe. they manage tartarus (phantom prison) and the underworld (phantom graveyard). and they're doing blot research in order to get rid of the phantoms so that they can regain their freedom....wow.
and if they don't have any blot. the curse goes straight to eating up their magic, so they constantly need to be using magic to even live. oh my god. the reason why they gave them that job is bc the phantoms will continue to leak blot into the world even after they're dead. so jupiter family put that curse on the shrouds with every intent of making them like a sponge that can "purify" any blot that escapes. bc if not it'll start affecting the world.
so that's why they're doing blot research :00 !! they're trying to figure out a way to neutralize or reutilize blot bc. the shrouds want to escape. they don't want to keep living in the island of woe, which is why they want to turn the phantoms into an energy source. it would bring them back the honor they had once lost + they don't have to keep living at the island of woe to keep the phantoms in check.
[ about : another ortho ]
okay so. i noticed this before. but ortho was talking about himself in third person in one of the chapters. like "what can ortho do for him" instead of using his usual personal pronoun of "boku". and then idia mentioned "what happened ot ortho when we tried to leave this place". so...i'm assuming that there's two orthos, and that one of them is dead ? or something happened to him ? meanwhile the ortho we know rn also knows about this other ortho, and sees him as an extension, but not entirely, himself. (also take note this is all speculation i do not know if im right or wrong)
okayy we're stopping here for tonight ! when i tell you i laughed so much for this chunk of chapters, i mean it jskfjskf it was a nice contrast from last time, since last time was more tense + sad moments... until next timee

Steve Harrington was completely and utterly down on his knees, hopelessly wrapped around your finger, and he had been from the first time he'd laid his eyes on you. He wasn't ashamed to admit that you weren't normally his type, he'd never much gravitated towards the flower child type of girls, but you? Something about you was just so stunningly killer that it shook him to his core and he just couldn't stay away.
He remembers that first day, he had been in the middle his usual banter with Robin, and wasnt paying one damn bit of attention to any customers, nor was she, and he honestly wouldn't have even known you were there until your hauntingly beautiful giggle carried across the store as he said something you'd thought funny. He jumped in fright, turning to find the source of the noise, and when his eyes land on you he feels his entire body kind of deflate for a moment, his breath leaving his lungs as he locks on you and your wildly beautiful form.
Your hair was a sort of untameable wavy texture that gave off a 'wild and free' vibe, you wore a strange outfit combination of a long, flowy white dress and a fringed brown leather vest coat, it looked completely gut wrenchingly beautiful on you. You smiled at him, an eyebrow raised.
"You all there, pretty boy?" You ask, cocking your head at him. You carried a small bag on your shoulder, and you lifted the top, grabbing a couple dollars out of it.
"Yeah..yeah..I'm here.." He says, shaking his head and clearing his throat. "What can I get for you?" He asked, and you grin.
"Three scoops of strawberry." You shove the money at him, and watch as he goes to grab it from the case. "With chocolate sauce between each scoop." He stops what he's doing, and looks at you.
"Between each scoop?" He asks, looking at you as if you were crazy. You nod once, looking at him. "Seems like you're over doing it a bit but okay.." He mumbles, and does as you say.
When he hands you the cone, with a napkin, he can't help he adore the intensely happy look that crosses your face, and he tries not to notice the way that bounce up and down in excitement. "Thank you, Steve.." You say, taking a long lick of it as you start to turn, getting ready to leave the scoops ahoy store.
"Wait-, how do you know my name?" He asks, stopping you in your tracks. You just give him a funny little look. "What's yours?" You giggle at him, shaking your head.
"All this time we went to school together and you don't know my name?" You ask him, before shaking your head again, sighing. "Makes sense, i suppose me and my brother never were on your radar, we weren't much on anyone's unless it was to make fun of us."
"Your brother? Wait, we went to school together?" He asks, confused, he squints trying to think. How could he not remember you? You were so stunningly, uniquely beautiful, how did he not know who you were?
"Really? We literally walked across the graduation stage together a couple months ago.." You say, he looks like he's thinking for a moment before he shakes his head. "Rosemary Munson? My brother is Eddie?"
He recognized your brothers name, but not yours. "Him, I know..you?" He shakes his head, you pout playfully, you couldn't blame him, you didn't really make yourself very known.
"Well, what a shame, Stevie-boy.." You say, slowly backing out of the store, he calls after you, but you keep on walking, your brother was waiting for you somewhere in the mall.
Steve scoffs, a look of wonder on his face as he turned towards Robin. "She called me Stevie-boy.." It seemed like such a childish nickname to him, but something about the way you said it made his knees feel like jelly, and he felt his tummy flutter.
Robin just shakes her head, rolling her eyes at him. "God, you're so weird." She says, arms crossed over her chest.
You had come in a few more times that week, and Steve had made sure to greet you by your name, sweet talking you as best as he could before he finally asked you, it was a Friday and he had had your three scoops of strawberry, with chocolate sauce in between, already put together and waiting for you for when you walked through the doors.
You did a few minutes later, your face lighting up moreso when you see the boy than the ice cream in his hand. "Awe, how sweet, you already had it all ready for me." You say, going to reach for it, he pulls his hand back, and you pout.
"Ah, ah, ah.." He says, placing his other hand on the counter, his bicep flexing under his sailor shirt. "You can have your ice cream, but there's one condition."
You tilt your head, rocking on your feet. "And just what is your condition of my pleasure?" You ask, hands on your hips. "Hm, Stevie-boy?"
There it was again, that fucking nickname that made his knees go weak. "You, me, dinner and movie." He says, not giving you room to say no. He watches you chew your bottom lip, thinking. Fuck that made him nervous, what if you said no? Shit, maybe I shouldn't have done that, he thought, starting to panic.
You look him over, your brother wouldn't be happy about this, but, you didn't care what Eddie thought, you thought Steve was adorable, he didn't seem like the person he used to be anymore, and you liked that he had changed, that he seemed to be outwardly a better individual. "Okay." You say finally, reaching over to grab your cone from his hand, your fingers brushing his, you let them linger a little longer than you should have. "Pick me up at 7?"
He notices you reaching for your purse and he shakes his head, a grin sliding across his lips. "It's on the house, Rosemary." He says. "I'll pick you up at 7."
Steve was on the dot punctual that evening. He had taken the afternoon off from work, trying to figure out where he was going to take you, he had even resorted to asking Dustin. The boy had suggested that he take you somewhere fancy, but Steve had thought that might be too much, but he also didn't want to not do the right thing. He wanted to you like every part of your date, he wanted to be memorable to you, even if it never went past the first night.
After a couple of hours he had finally decided that he would just let you choose, and he started moving on to his clothes, which he fussed and mussed over for a while. He felt like he was trying too much and not enough all at the same time, god, he thought, what the fuck is wrong with you, King Steve?
He stared at his watch the rest of the afternoon, counting down the minuets. Eventually, he finally dragged himself to his car and started it, pulling out of his neighborhood and into the direction of where he knew you lived.
Your brother was not at all happy to know you were going on a date tonight, with Steve Harrington of all people. He followed you throughout the house, talking your ear off about how his popular dick head views were going to rub off on you, and pointing out that he must not be as great as everyone thought because 'look at him now, Ro, he's working in an ice cream store'. You had glared at him. "How dare you be so judgemental, Eddie." You had said, he pouted at you, not used to hearing you be so firm. "He's a completely different person, and maybe his choice of work has actually helped him to become that."
You had kicked him out of your room after that, slamming the door in his face as you focused on getting dressed. You weren't nervous in the least, you were actually excited. You thought he was adorsbly sweet and you couldn't wait to see how nervous and awkward he was, but how sweet he was also.
You dressed quickly, a pair of tight low cut bell bottomed jeans, a tight white cropped top that went half way down your belly, that had flowy white sleeves that hung off your wrists a little bit. And you put your favorite brown fringed vest on top, before running a brush through your messy hair, unable to tame the frizzed out mess. You added your favorite pair of chunky heeled brown boots too, not bothering to put any makeup on, it's not like you'd been wearing it any time you'd seen him anyway.
After a couple of minutes you heard a knock on the front door, and heard your brother scurry to get it as you finished putting on your jewelry.
Eddie threw open the door, putting his hand up on the doorframe as he stares the boy down. Steve bounces on the balls of his feet. "Eddie." He says, hands in his pockets. The curly haired boy wore a an unreadable expression, his eyebrows pinched.
"Steve." Eddie says, pursing his lips, he opened his mouth to speak, he was going to be his usual over protective self, maybe give him a little help. But then he remembered the way that you had defended him, how sweetly you had talked about him when you'd come back from the ice cream shop every day this week. He hadn't seen you talk about anyone that way in a long time, and he couldn't help but like to see you happy. He settles on something else instead. "You seem like the clueless type when it comes to women, and my sister isnt most women." Steve looks at him, confused. "All im saying is..dairy queen is her favorite, incase you didn't already have a restaurant picked out."
"Oh.." Steve says, relaxing a little. He had expected something different from Eddie. "That does actually help me out a lot..she doesn't seem the fancy type, huh?" He says, his shoulders sagging with relief. Eddie chuckles, shaking his curly head of hair.
"No, she's not." He says, looking towards your room as he hears the door open. You step out, your purse on your shoulder. You stop, looking up at your brother and doing a little twirl for him, asking how you looked. "You look pretty, Rosemary.." He says, a soft smile on his face.
You were indeed pretty this evening, even more so than Steve had seen you before. His tongue caught in his throat and he couldn't quite speak when you stepped into the doorway, your brother having stepped to the side to make way for you. "You ready, Stevie-boy?"
He makes a noise in the back of his throat, holding out his hand. "Yeah..yeah I'm ready." He says, smile gracing his face. You did look a very beautiful sight to him, though most would have said that you were dressed strangely.
Steve never would have thought that that night would lead him to where he was now, nearly a year later with you in his bed, leg thrown over his as you pressed you naked body against his. Your head was resting on his chest, wild hair still sticky with sweat from the evenings activities, your breathing slow and light. He ghosts his hand over your spine, up and down, up and down, his other hand is entwined gently with yours, a feeling that gave him more of a thrill than any other thing he'd done with you. It was like you had casted some sort of spell over him from the first moment he'd heard that beautiful laugh of yours, from the first time you'd smiled at him, the first time you'd called him Stevie-boy..fuck, he was so far gone for you it wasn't even funny.
He wondered if you knew that.
He wondered if you knew just how far in love with you he was, how absolutely head over fucking heels, heart beating out of his chest, ba-dum-ba-dum in fucking love with you he so absolutely was..
He knew he was so absolutely fucking lucky to even have caught your attention, and even moreso to have had the pleasure to take you out. He was probably the luckiest son of a bitch to ever walk the earth to have you in his bed right now, to have had the pleasure of making you so delerious with pleasure that you couldn't even hold yourself up after..he smiles at the thought, chuckling at how you had still been shaking when he had picked you and carried you to the bathroom, legs wrapped around his waist as he cleaned you up, taking a warm shower. He had wiped every inch of you down, except for your hair because he knew that you hated going to bed with wet hair, and he has dried every inch of you off before carrying you back to bed, letting you lay on top of him as you drifted off to sleep.
He smiles, staring up at the cieling, unable to keep the lovesick grin off of his face. His love for you grew wherever you were, anywhere you went, he followed, he couldn't bare to be away from you..he would have to tell you in the morning, just how deeply he cares for you, how he absolutely worshiped the ground you walked on.. how completely and utterly wrapped around your finger he was.
You would probably laugh at him, but he didn't mind because he knew you were his. He didn't mind one damn bit if you thought he was insane, because as long as he has his Rosemary by his side, he was content with anything.
