I’m so scared for the next issue because I could totally see Slugpelt dying if Rainhaze shows up… like I can totally picture like the Clan getting attacked and trying to run but then Slugpelt turns around at the absolute worst time, and just. Finally makes eye contact with her brother.
And I can just imagine what she would be feeling there; like, her brother goes missing, and then she finally finds him working with the group that’s literally trying to kill them at that moment. So I think she could get like stuck or something out of shock, and from there, she might not be able to block the blow that kills her.
Anyways that’s just what I’ve been thinking of since the last issue got uploaded… I’m so scared
I have been cultivating quite a bit of fear in my audience, it seems. Good! Get scared!! Rahhh!!!

Go read @barrenclan's comic right now immediately for some good tragic family!
Art trades and Commissions open, DM me if interested!
did some doodles with my favorite group of angsty gay cats! Seeing the way the comic has been going lately has me so excited and I am so so so aboslutely ready for more issues!
Anyways I drew my fave little guys + Slugpelt bc I am now obsessed with her and her arc of recovery and becoming a better mom. She's wonderful! Please go check out their story, it's great! @barrenclan
(I'm very sorry for my obscure tma inspired warrior cat comic submission but) Would Slugpelt from Pinepaw and the Forgotten World become an avatar of the lonely?
already admitted that rainhaze is my favorite.... gives me a 'cares too much for his own good' kinda vibe, probably how he got killed. he probably sealed his own fate when he did everything he could to keep her close when he felt her drifting away from him.
Loneliness surrounds her like a thick morning fog.
Wanted to do some fanart on my page for @barrenclan! I’ve been loving her comic, Pinepaw and the Forgotten World, and wanted to draw the world’s saddest mom (with a little bit of Lonely fog)
Thank you all for your patience while I worked on this! It's the longest issue of PATFW to date, so I hope you understand why it took me so long to produce. At the current pace it seems like issues will come out about every three weeks (or a little more), which is a bit funny to me. I called them "issues" as a reference to comic books and now look where I am. Full circle.
The boys are having a rough time of it, though, unfortunately. If it wasn't already abundantly clear, Cormorantpaw has some pretty severe abandonment and trust issues, which led to him keeping secrets from Pinepaw out of fear that he'd be left once again. But it's hard for Pinepaw to see that perspective when he's just lost his sister, and thinks that she possibly could've been saved... bad situation all around.
At least Thrasher is finally dead! That's worth celebrating, right? Both he and Crow died from a kick to the head, by the way, and the deer who killed Crow is Wild Rose's son Hyssop.
With voice claims, would you say accents matter or no?
Because I have voice claims for some characters that work, but the voices I chose have an accent, and none of the other characters who grew up in the same place have that accent, and I don't want it to seem strange, is there anything to work around that or does it not really matter?
Accents do not matter to me! It's whatever voice, pitch, and tone best suit the character that's important. I've already chosen all the voices I want for my video, but I would always be more than willing to hear your takes. :)
Lonely: Slugpelt (Pinepaw and the Forgotten World)
"she is lonely--her mother was cruel, favoring her brother rainhaze whilst treating her like shit, and the group where she lives is very isolated. also her boyfriend left her to raise her kids alone
she spreads loneliness--while she is less of an antagonist and more of a tragic hero in her own right (and she's at least trying to get better), she does somewhat pass her loneliness down to her kids, being... rather neglectful and barely connecting with them (generational cycles of abuse are somewhat of a. theme in patfw). the comic's author, Raz, is also a big tma fan and has explicitly described her as Lonely-aligned."
Eye: Cecil Palmer (Welcome to Night Vale)
"I know he won last time, but I honestly think he deserves it. He is seemingly all knowing about current events in the town and sometimes reports them in a similar way to fear statements. I don't pay enough attention to all the lore to know exactly how he knows all the goings-on all the time, so it seems spooky to me. Though there is no canon description of him having a third eye he is often depicted with one, and a huge eye is a part of the logo. Being watched is also a theme throughout Nightvale, with the government agents who are always outside your house, or the faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home"
