8 TIPS THAT CAN HELP YOU GET PAST LONELINESS:
Reach Out to Others:
It may seem challenging, especially if you're introverted or shy, but it can help significantly to connect with other people. This might be through social activities, joining clubs or groups, or even volunteering.
Stay Active:
Physical activity can help to boost your mood. Try to include a routine of exercise in your daily schedule, like walking jogging, dancing, yoga, or any sport you enjoy.
Hobbies and Interests:
Pursuing hobbies that you enjoy or discovering new ones can also help fill time and provide a sense of fulfilment and purpose. It might be anything from painting, playing a musical instrument, writing. gardening, cooking, to coding.
Practice Self-Care:
Make sure you're taking care of your physical health - eat healthily, maintain good sleep habits, and avoid excessive alcohol or other substances.
Meditation and Mindfulness:
Practices such as meditation and mindfulness can help you stay centered and focused on the present, reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Connect Online:
The internet can be a great resource for finding communities and groups of people with similar interests. While online interaction shouldn't replace face-to-face connection entirely, it can be a helpful supplement.
Journaling:
Writing about your feelings can help you understand and manage them better. It's a good way to express your thoughts and reflect on your emotions and experiences.
Limit Social Media:
While online interaction can be useful, too much social media can sometimes exacerbate feelings of loneliness, especially if you comparing your life to others.

Hey, gentle recognition for the people who are taking care of themselves in "not aesthetically-pleasing" ways. To the people who have to do things they don't want to because they know they would suffer more if they didn't, to the people who have to brush their teeth with their fingers, to the people who have to use washcloths to bathe, to the people who need to punch pillows or scream into them to express their intense emotions, to anybody ashamed about the way they need to live and take care of themselves.
You are doing the very best you can with the hand you've been dealt. It's not easy, it's not pretty, but it sure as fuck takes so much to do these things. You are doing what is best for yourself, and I, for one, think you deserve to be proud of that. Self-care isn't easy. It isn't pretty, often, but it's something you shouldn't be ashamed of or hide away because it's deemed "grotesque" or "not really self-care (because self-care is pretty and non-threatening to 'normal peoples' senses)"

What it means to go easy on yourself
When you are having a hard time, the way you can go easy on yourself is by allowing yourself to be instead of trying to find answers to everything right away and fix things as if there are instant solutions to such deep-rooted problems and patterns.
Going easy on yourself does not mean indulging in self-destructive behaviour that will make you feel good for maybe a few hours or desperately seeking instant gratification in any way and form you can find.
It means not jumping to conclusions or thinking too deeply or forcing yourself to figure it all out. It means eating well, getting enough sleep, brushing your hair, and having fruit.
It means laughing with a friend, going for a walk or lying down on the cool marble floor in Shavasana. It means constantly filling your bottle of water and carrying it everywhere with you and reading good books the ones that give you some comfort and leave you with a sense of warmth and hope.
It means engaging yourself in things that allow you to breathe a little better as you do all the functional things life is demanding out of you, like work and chores.
Going easy on yourself during such times means you don’t take yourself so seriously because that is the quickest way to skinny dip in rabbit holes and camp there for extended periods. It also means that you say no to things and people who make you feel anxious, conscious, and uneasy. Yes, you should step out of your comfort zone and push yourself and all that but there is a time and place for that. And when you’re feeling such heaviness of being, that is not it.
Not demanding more from yourself, not caving into the demands of others, not using your sadness and pain as an excuse to fall back on maladaptive coping mechanisms, not getting existential about everything — that’s what it means to go easy on yourself. So, please, do go easy.

Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since I’ve posted something from an article. So I wanted to share an article I found listing some ways to practice self-care. According to this article, here are some ways that could help:
Binge watch your favorite TV shows.
This is the first thing I do when I start running out of gas. It’s comforting, I identify with the characters, I know what’s going to happen in the show, and that relaxes me. It’s easy to do, like putting on a Band-Aid.
Spend a day in doing self-care activities.
I got a massage, took long baths, journaled and ate my favorite meals (a lot of Chick-fil-A and ga roti from Vietnam). I tried to spend time outside, but the mosquitoes were bad, so I ensconced myself in my sunroom which has several windows and is very colorful. It’s my happy place.
Meditate or do deep breathing.
I won’t lie, it’s difficult for me to meditate without a guiding app on my phone, and even then, I have trouble. But meditation is so good for you; it helps you be mindful, manage stress, reduce negative emotion and decreases anxiety. As for deep breathing, I always like to do box breathing, where you inhale for four seconds, hold for four seconds, exhale for four seconds, hold for four seconds and repeat. I read that Navy SEALs use this technique.
Go to a therapist or counselor.
I know that I talked my husband’s and my mom’s ears off about the fundraiser, and I could tell they were getting weary of being a sounding board. So I took my issues to my therapist, which is what I’m supposed to do, and it felt so good to release all that negative energy. She let me vent but helped me refocus on the good I was doing, too. I highly recommend therapy/counseling. If you don’t have a therapist, look into Family Counseling Service. It has wonderful therapists and a variety of programs.
Say no.
This is probably the most helpful self-care action you can take. Also the hardest to do. When I was working on the fundraiser, I didn’t say no at first. My type A personality (really, I’m type B) took over, and I wanted to be involved in everything. Soon I became burned out. After more therapy and self-care, I realized that I had to step back and say no. As soon as I did that, I felt way better. I was still involved in every aspect of the fundraiser, which probably annoyed the committee, but I delegated, communicated better and said no when I needed to.
The link to this article will be below if anyone wants to read through it.

I would honestly call the left's inability to accomodate people with morality-based OCD compulsions an accessibility issue at this point.
