DOUBLE CLEANSING ;
not only for ur face but also for ur body, doing so makes me feel a million times cleaner. when i double cleanse my face i go in with an oil based cleanser then a water based cleanser.
my double cleansing body recommendations are the dove bar soap, african black soap or the soaps from the doctor bronners brand
for double cleansing my body i'll use an unscented/anti bacterial bar soap and after rinsing that off i'll use a liquid body gel or body wash that has the scent that i wanna smell like
MY TAKE ON UNSCENTED BODY PRODUCTS ;
i think that unscented body products r lowkey slept on but in that same breath i can kinda see why. personally, i like to use an unscented soap sometimes and then make my body smell even better by using a body butter or a lotion but thats SOMETIMES.
TAKE CARE OF UR FEET ;
use a foot file/foot scrub to ensure baby soft, barbie-esque feet. before bed time make sure to moisturize ur feet with a body butter ro vaseline and sleep with fuzzy socks on.
also keep ur toes clipped, filed, and preferably painted. personally i like to go for white toes cuz i just think its classic, but in general do NOT neglect ur feet.
ALL ABOUT FRAGRANCE ;
i love to collect different fragrances and buy a lot of perfumes bcuz i just love the variety, i love the adorable packaging i just LOVE perfume. dont be afraid to blend perfumes together and experiment with how different notes in different perfumes can work together and give u ur own unique scent.

dont sleep on oil perfumes either, personally i find them to be very rich and SO LONG LASTING?? they're absolutely amazing. when u apply the perfume try not to rub, instead press and apply it to ur pulse points.
HOT TIP - when spraying perfume on ur body, make sure to apply some onto the insides of ur knees + ankles bcuz smell travels upwards so when u walk by, the air will smell yummy 🎀
SLUGGING SECRETS ;
slugging urself before bed ensures that when u wake up ur body will be SOFT and SMOOTH and glowy. the basic before bed slugging routine is to go in with a deeply moisturizing body lotion/butter. ur gonna wanna lather urself completely (from the neck down to ur ankles) then use a body oil.
things to look for in a body lotion or body butter - helps with properties like firming and tightening of the skin. aids in deep moisture if ur someone who has dull or dry skin.
its important to find a body butter + oil combination that works well with ur skin and doesn't break u out (plus smells good)

How to properly apply a deep conditioning oil treatment. 
1. Detangle 
2. Wrong oil use the right one that works for you 
3. Warm your oil (Little bit hot water) 
4. In section Apply roots to scalp 
 5. Not too much oil (start with a tbs)
  6. Massage your scalp gently (scalp massager) 
7. Not tie your hair too tight 
 8. Use heat cap 
 9. Max 8hrs leave it in your hair—at least 1 hour. 
 10. Use mild shampoo

Hey Friends! Self Care is performed and practiced in so many ways - it means something different to everyone and is completely unique! While there's a huge trend on social media that shows off people's self care routines or specific rituals, here's a little reminder that self care and self love aren't actions - they're a mindset. It's not about the action or ritual itself - it's about the mindfulness behind it. The intention to direct energy and love back to yourself as a form of nourishment and replenishment. This kind of thinking needs to be applied more than once a week, or even once a day. To be truly effective, this needs to be your relationship to yourself - honouring yourself in every way/shape/form possible and in every moment. A face mask is great, a nap is too. But self-care isn't limited to when you have a free moment either - it's about making the time for yourself. It goes even deeper than that honestly - self care is in every breathe you take, as long as you do it mindfully. How can you care for yourself today?

As the days get shorter, start thinking about what rituals you want to introduce to ease the transition into winter. I posted about this extensively last year and it kept SAD at bay. The idea is retreating and claiming coziness in your life. Here are mine:
started closing my curtains at 7:30 so the change won’t feel so abrupt once it gets dark at 5 — will up by 15 mins every week until time change
have started lighting a candle each night when I close the curtains
upped my vitamin
Hung up my fall moon phases craft and moon wreath
made a solstice paper chain to countdown from vernal equinox to winter solstice
weekly fall simmer pot
have started seed saving and garden harvesting for next year
Have 3-4 indoor art projects lined up
Purchase any extra insulating things (window film, weather stripping, blankets, etc)
Purchased extra air filters so I can change every month (allergy household!) (not that even in the coldest part of winter I open my windows for 10-15 mins each day to air out the house)
Stocking the freezer with single serve soups (faves for my gf/df free life are chili, chicken and rice, squash, pinto, veggie and turkey and bean)
Whatever your rituals, now is the time to start implementing!

FROM THE INSIDE OUT ;
get a necessary amount of sleep (8 hours or more) drink enough water for ur body and ur amount of movement that u do on a daily basis

take supplements that are good and nourishing for ur body and focus on ur intake of fresh fruits and veggies and find a way to incorporate it into a balanced diet.
SKINCARE ;
when using ur gua sha make sure to use a facial oil, i add a couple drops of facial oil into moisturizer OR i'll use the gua sha while i have an oil cleanser on my skin.
deep moisture overnight on ur lips, face, hands and feet.
use SPF on ur facial and body skin
use a sheet mask 1-2x a week
for the skin on ur hands, i recommend dry brushing ur hands and using some leftover facial serum or oils on ur hands, keep ur cuticles moisturized and moisturize ur hands also.
MAKEUP TIPS ;
i apply my mascara in a wiggling motion, in a kind of horizontal motion (->) like that.
coat lashes with mascara vertically before horizontally 
let that layer dry 
and do two layers
UNSORTED TIPS ;
use a body scrub before u shave and when ur out of the shower moisturize with a body oil before u use a cream/body butter. use lip scrubs and lip masks for softer and smoother lips.

💕Aphrodite's Water 💕

This is a fruit-infused water recipe that I have affectionally coined Aphrodite water because of my personal associations with her and how I use this water. This is my UPG.
This is a simple recipe you probably already make, so why not add it to your magical and devotional routine; its ease of access, easiness to make, and versatility make it a powerful potion, great for spells, or an offering.
How it is Used:
As a potion: tailor the fruits to taste and desired magical & health properties. I drink this to connect with Aphrodite and increase my feelings of beauty, self-love, and increase my libido. I am also actively trying to be healthier and it's a good replacement for unhealthy beverages. I often combine drinking this with self-care and self-love rituals dedicated to Aphrodite. It creates an atmosphere.
As an offering: say a prayer to Aphrodite as you prepare it and offer it to her. I will typically keep this on my altar and pair it with rose quartz and sea shells.
Spells: when using for spells, I especially like to use rose petals as a garnish because I feel like it pleases Aphrodite (and me) but it's optional.
Best used in spells for abundance, fertility, self-love, romantic love, and attraction.
Use it to create a spell jar; in this case, I often add flower petals and herbs. I will often also add incense ashes or essential oils in scents associated with Aphrodite such as sandalwood. Depending on the spell, I may write something on a piece of paper and have it dissolve in the water.
Use it to extinguish spells involving fire: when burning bay leaves, or other ingredients for spells as mentioned above, I will extinguish the fire with this water.
Fruits To Use:
*many fruits/plants can be associated, but not all "infuse" the water well enough for it to taste good if you're drinking it.
Pomegranate: said to be first planted by Aphrodite herself.
Strawberries
Raspberries
Blackberries
Figs
Apples: we all know that famous story
Watermelon
What's needed:
Water
Ice (optional, but recommended if you're drinking it)
Lemon, lime, or oranges
Your choice of fresh or frozen fruit that is associated with love, lust, beauty, or sex
Reusable straw (optional, but recommended if you're drinking it)
Rose petals for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Mix a generous amount of freshly squeezed lemon, lime, or orange with water as a base. Add your fruit and ice, shake/stir, then done. For some fruit choices, you may have to allow it some time to infuse. I recommend using a straw as citrus can be hard on your teeth if you're drinking it.
