Tumblr media
it's a hot summer day in hawkins, indiana. you and your girlfriend are walking around the streets of hawkins, trying your best not to melt from the hot summer weather.
"you sure the ice cream is near by?" you asked as robin nodded. "i'm sure, i think? the last time i saw it was near this area soo." robin shrugged as you two continue the walk.
the walk continued, and continued, until you two finally stopped to take a break near a hill.
"actually, i think the shop closes at sundays." robin sighs as you gasped, "robin!" you took a seat at the bench. "i'm sorry! i thought the shop was near by, turns out it was not." robin shrugged as you nodded, "yeah, obviously."
"sorry i ruined today, i genuinely didn't mean to." robin sat down beside you. "you didn't ruin it, robs. it's okay, really." you smiled. "i feel bad though, we were suppose to be eating ice cream right now, but we are melting in the sun instead." robin replied.
you sighed a bit, thinking on what to do now. you were probably miles from your home, and walking back does not sound like the best option.
"actually, i heard there was a strawberry fields near by here." you say, "we could go to there if you want to." you offered. "yeah, yeah that be really nice!" robin smiled. "it's down the hill i'm pretty sure." you got up from the bench, grabbing robin's hand as you two went down the hill.
slowly going down you spotted the entrance of the fields. you walk towards it first as robin follows behind, "uh, i'll pay the tickets. you can take it as an apology, for literally getting us lost." robin stated. "it's fine, robs." you shook your head. "i insist, honestly it's the least i could do." robin gives you a smile as you sigh, nodding.
the two of you get the tickets and happily enter the fields, holding the basket in your arms as you walk around the fields, picking out the most perfect strawberries to bring home.
"i can think of so many things we can make out of these, strawberry ice cream, strawberry milkshakes, strawberry smoothies.. hell! we can even make cake! though i don't think i have the skills for that, i mean the last time we tried, we had a flour fight so..." robin rambles as you listened.
"we can try! i mean second tries a charm, right? at the end we did make the cake." you laughed. "we can try to make smoothies maybe? or a slushy of some-type." you suggest as she nodded.
you went on for an hour before paying for all the berries you two picked. robin decided its best to take the bus home, so thats what the two of you did. you rested your head on her shoulder on the way home to your small, cozy apartment as she rambles about how excited she is to make the smoothies.
strawberry picking with your girlfriend, oh how your so lucky.

Sim4AReason's Lookbook Challenge
I have been really nervous about doing this. I have wanted to make a lookbook challenge for a long time, I personally love them. My absolute favorite thing to do with my sims is dressing them up and taking pictures of them. I decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it. I am sure no one will want to do it and that is fine, but I wanted to put it out there on the off chance maybe someone would like to.
Rules:
Use any sim you want if you want to do a couple do it you want to only use one sim use one. However, you start off though that is the sim/sims you will use for the duration of the challenge.
No changing the genetics of the sim/sims let's face it they are perfect how they are. Hair and eye color can be changed we all know contacts and wigs exists XD.
Get creative, you can use in-game shots, render them, photoshop them to your liking, do whatever you like to showcase the outfit.
Give credit to the amazing CC makers that take time out of their day to provide us so much joy. Links would be amazing, let's face it they worked really hard and I am sure they would love for others to see their work too.
This challenge is not only open for Sims 4 any Sims franchise can join, the more the merrier.
Each day is open to interpretation. I am not going to stifle anyone's creativity. If you are not sure though what the day is asking for just let me know I will be happy to assist you. I do not bite, I promise.
Do the days in order, or skip around and do only the ones you want to. Take all the time in the world to finish this challenge, or don't there is no pressure to complete this.

Daiken Week 2022 Prompt Announcements
A Year in the Life | Daiken in Work & Play
Tumblr media
Daiken Week 2022 is just two months away now, and we are thrilled to announced this year's prompts, all around the theme of exploring Daisuke and Ken's relationship throughout a year, pictures and stories and edits of them during the various seasons and other aspects of daily life.
Each day focuses on a single season or major event with accompanying prompts.
Feel free to use any or all of these prompts and work with whatever sparks your interest.
Sunday, June 5th | Day 1
Spring | Evanescence, Picnics, Umbrellas
Spring is the time of new beginnings, of spring cleaning, of rain and umbrellas, of taking picnics under the cherry blossoms. In Japan, the cherry blossoms, and how quickly they fade, are seen as a symbol of how fleeting beauty and life are.
Monday, June 6th | Day 2
School Term | Achievement, Group Projects, Uniforms
School life in Japan is rigorous, and there are a number of important events linked to the school term. Schools often host formal opening and closing ceremonies at the start and end of each trimester, and throughout the school year, students participation in school-wide events like sports day and cultural fairs.
Tuesday, June 7th | Day 3
Summer | Celebration, At the Beach, Fireworks
Summer is a time of festivals and celebration (like the star festival and obon), of fireworks, of trips to the beach and exploring greenspaces, of party games like smashing watermelons, of tsunamis and heat waves. For Japanese students, summer is when they have their biggest break from school, starting with Sea Day.
Wednesday, June 8th | Day 4
Break/Vacation | Remembrance, Festivals, Camping
The major breaks for Japanese students land between the trimesters - one in the spring between the school years, the largest one in the summer, and one in the winter for New Year's - plus a few shorter breaks throughout, like Golden Week. This is the perfect time for travel, for joining festivals, for camping, and for the Chosen Children, this summer vacation is a time of memorial and remembrance.
Thursday, June 9th | Day 5
Autumn | Change, Ghost Stories, Bonfires
Autumn is a time of change - from the weather cooling down to the trees changing color - and with Halloween, it is the perfect time for cozying up next to bonfires and sharing ghost stories. Sports Day and Culture Day both fall in autumn, and it is the perfect time to participate in a traditional moon-viewing.
Friday, June 10th | Day 6
Winter | Purity, First Snow, Keeping Warm
Winter is the time of snow, especially in the mountains and farther north. It is a time of a pure first snow, of snowball fights and snow forts, of ice skating, of getting together with friends, of sitting at the kotatsu and finding ways to keep warm. Between Christmas and New Year's and Valentine's Day, winter has a host of romantic and familial holidays that are a cause for celebration.
Saturday, June 11th | Day 7
New Year | Beginnings & Endings, Sunrise & Sunset
New Year's Day is the most important holiday in Japan, as it is the end of one year and beginning of the next. From year-ending parties to watching the first sunrise, from your first shrine visit to many shops closing for the week, the New Year has enormous impact on everyday life.
Sunday, June 12th | Day 8
FREE DAY
Our themes may focus on a single year, but your submissions do not have to - take whatever idea comes to you from the prompts and run with it!

Fuyu fuyu fuyu
oKAY SO
I haven't finished the chapter yet, but I have the into of the first chapter. So the synopsis would be police officer!reader x criminal!chifuyu trying to take Kisaki down and there's some yandere!naoto going on but not much... some noncon with kisaki or hanma maybe?? LOTS AND LOTS OF GUNPLAY AND ENEMIES TO LOVERS!! LOTS OF SMUT!
I HOPE YOU LIKE THE INTRO BABY!
A knock on the door. The ringing of the bell and your phone. The sun shining through your curtains; rays of sunshine falling onto your perfect features, licking every dip and curve. It hurt your eyes, the sun was a deadly laser after all.
You squinted your eyes in discomfort, slowly turning away from the window and the disturbing light. "Fuck..." The phone on the right side of your pillow was vibrating; as much as you like to ignore it, the name popping on your screen was insisting on wanting you to wake up. Naoto.
You buried your face into your pillow. It was a Saturday morning, not like painful Sundays where you had to deal with the cases of people who partied the other day and got overdosed. Or Fridays, the same things would happen then as well.
“Y/N, open the fucking door!”
You heard Naoto’s harsh voice as the knocking turned into bangings. You were sure that your neighbors were mad as hell at 11 fucking A.M.
You kicked the covers off of your body, the cold air of your apartment hit your body covered in only a simple tank top and silly cotton panties that has a ghost in the crotch area. You wrapped your arms around your body, rubbed your arms to get the heat back into your body. This was why you hated autumns. Too hot to sleep in cozy pajamas but too cold to be naked. Fucking weird weather.
“Y/N!”
“Stop banging!” You let out a groan in all your morning grumpiness. “I heard you, ‘m coming.”
When you opened the door, Naoto Tachibana was standing there, in front of your nosy old neighbor living right next to you, in his full glory. His hair was perfectly combed, his jeans were ironed. Naoto had an interesting smell on weekdays, mostly because of the gunpowder from the pistol he carried around, mixed with some of his fancy cologne. You were surprised when you saw that one Tom Ford bottle on his dresser next to an Armani one. How could he afford those with his simple police salary?
“I’ve been calling you since 10.” He walked in, completely ignoring your half-naked body in front of the door frame. “You’re sleeping like a fucking mummy.”
Rolling your eyes, a sigh left your puffy lips. “I slept at 5 A.M. What were you expecting?”
“Working on a case?” Only when he placed the plastic bag on your kitchen counter did you realize what he was carrying. “Knew it.”
You rubbed your eyes in discomfort. As much as you saw from the mirror on the wall of the corridor leading to the rooms of your apartment, your whole face was puffed up from lack of sleep. “Yeah, finished that Zombie case. It wasn’t that of a deal after all.” You walked into the kitchen after him, glancing at Naoto to see what he was doing. Crêpes? Pancakes? Omelets? “Took me 3 hours to solve.”
He chuckled. “Atta girl.”
“Fuck off.” You spat out. Your ass found the barstool in front of your counter, you folded one of your legs under you. “Wasn’t even that hard.”
You finally saw what he was making after he turned the oven on. He had a baking pan in his hands (you weren’t even sure where he got that from) and it was filled with a brownish liquid with some chocolate chips in it. Banana bread.
“I know you hate eating right after you wake up,” he said as he placed the pan in the oven. “So I thought making some banana bread would be good since you won’t wake up before this is done.”
“Thanks…” It wasn’t a sincere ‘thanks’ like the ones you usually gave to your local bakery guy. Or the pretty girl in the pharmacy after getting your birth control pills with some ibuprofen for the cold season.
“Alright!” After a painful minute, you got up, stretching yourself until you heard the cracking of your spine. “I’m going back to my bed. I still have a couple of dreams left.”
As you walked out of the kitchen, you heard rushing footsteps following behind you. Naoto had been to your apartment since you had a not-really-friends-but-the-benefit-part-is-good relationship. He was good at sex and that was all you needed. You needed some dick in your wet pussy, and unlike you, Naoto needed you.
You got under your covers again but unfortunately, it wasn’t as warm as it was before. You pulled yourself into a ball and buried your face under your covers.
“Scoot over.”
You groaned hearing his voice. “Don’t need no morning sex.”
He pulled your covers open. “Scoot over, Y/N. I’m not here to fuck.”
You let out a sigh, it was more like a muffled scream. “Leave me alone, Naoto.” You pulled your covers back onto your body. “I’m not in the mood for playing.”
“Me neither,” he said as he pulled your covers again but this time, he actually got under them with you. “I missed you.”
You hated this side of Naoto. Creepy, weirdly romantic and highly possessive unlike his usual stoic character. This Naoto would cuddle you after sex and hold you close while whispering weird romantic things into your ear like I won’t leave you or I love you so much, so much princess. Eugh, the weird pet names…

not sure if this counts for the q&a but what does a "perfect day" look like for aran and tao? i adore how your pieces look so warm and inviting (other than the colors, the way you draw folds in clothing really adds to this as well!!) and i think it's a cool thing to know about OC's i really like :)) hope you have an amazing day <3
AHH THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️ Wuhuh yes yes it totally counts! It's a nice question!!
Ohh the perfect day for them really depends on their mood and time of the year. It can vary from being outside all day and active to just being home and cozy together. Tao usually loves to be active and around people. A perfect day might be a warm sunny summer day which starts with a great breakfast with fresh fruit and then a Basketball game on the local street court with Aran and close friends. And then later hanging out together, trying new food at some food trucks, walk around town, goofing around with friends, going to a festival and then crashing at someone's place where they all cook together and have a big meal together and just chat and eat and drink till late at night in great company.
But he also likes those more quiet days with just Aran. Waking up and taking it slow. Going grocery shopping after breakfast and finding new fresh ingredients, and new places, going to a record store, walking around down a bit, having a snack, and then going home early, ordering take out/or cooking together and just watching some movies or playing video games and cuddling.
A great trainings day where practice goes well and the team is in a good mood can also be a perfect day for Tao :D
Aran also loves those active summer days and hanging out with friends and joining those big dinners Tao holds for their friends. He loves those moments. But some days he also needs more time alone. So depending on mood or weather a perfect day could also be staying insight with his cat, drinking lots of tea, reading, writing some lyrics, sorting his vinyls and listening to some he hasn't for some time. And then having Tao come over later that evening and they cook together and watch a movie. And he also likes those days where he and Tao are just walking around town and checking out new places and going to old fave places. Record hunting. checking out small markets.
A great day in the studio or a great show, standing on stage and having the venue buzzing is also a perfect day for Aran.
I hope you have a great Sunday too! <3

Dream a little dream of me pt2
The weather was bad, it was getting a bit cold at the middle of October now, but Peter and his little students were outside on the playground. He was pushing one of the youngest little boys in the swing who couldn't do it by himself yet, while watching over the rest of the children around him so no one would get hurt. Of course, you wouldn't think a class of fifteen kids was a lot to look after, but honestly, even looking after one was a challenge for some people.
It was nice, though, the kids were slowly starting to go home with their parents, even the little boy who he was swinging, and after a while, it was just him and Morgan. It was strange, Morgan was usually one of the first kids to be taken home.
"Hey princess. Who's coming for you today," he asked as he sat down next to the little girl who sat on a bench, swinging her legs that couldn't reach the ground.
"Eric..."
Peter frowned. "Who's Eric?"
"My new dad. I don't wike him too much."
Oh. "Your mommy has a new boyfriend?"
"Yes he's gunna be my new dad."
"Well, when did you meet him?"
"Last week..."
"That's a very little tiny short time," Peter said, his thumb and index finger almost touching as he showed how small he meant to the girl. "Why don't you wait until you get to know him better? Maybe you will like him."
"But I wanted you to be my new dad..."
His heart skipped a beat at that. "Now now, Morgan, daddy told you not to talk about this, right?"
"Right... sorry."
"It's okay, bub. Just be nice to Eric, okay? You can't be sure what he's like if you don't know him yet."
"Otay."
Just then, someone walked through the gate, a tall, broad man with black hair and brown eyes. He smiled when he spotted Morgan on the bench.
"Hi Morgan! I'm so sorry for being late, it won't happen again, I promise," he said as he walked over to her and Peter. "Hi um I'm sorry, this won't be a regular occasion, traffic was just a nightmare," he explained to Peter this time. "Eric."
"Peter. It's okay, I gladly spend my whole day with this little angel, ain't that right, Morgan?" The little girl giggled as Peter pinched her cheek. "Alright, now go home with Eric, bub."
"Goodbye, Mr. Parker," she said as she jumped off the bench.
"Bye bye Morgan!"
Morgan and Eric walked out and got in a car, leaving Peter alone on the school grounds. He sighed as he looked around, the playground that was a few minutes ago full of screaming children now so lifeless. It was scary and he didn't like being there without the kids, so he went back to his classroom where he collected all of his belongings. He checked his phone before leaving and saw a message from Tony.
Tony: Ready for tonight?
Peter: Not yet, just got out of work
Tony: You're still beautiful
Peter: Don't make me blush
Tony: ;)
It was Friday again, almost a week after their first date, and now they were going on a second. Peter was so excited about having their second date now, since he very much enjoyed their first one. It all still seemed so surreal, him dating Tony Stark, texting him every single day and seeing him occasionally when he came to get Morgan. He loved it, of course, but he wouldn't be surprised if this all were just some kind of fever dream or a bad joke. Though be prayed for it not to be.
When he got home, he laid down for a while, opening up his chat with Tony again as he put something on for background noise on the TV.
Peter: What should I wear?
Tony: ?
Peter: This is a fancy place
Tony: Not that fancy
Peter: Fancier than what a kindergarten teacher is used to
Peter: So what should I wear?
Tony: I'll be wearing a suit and tie, if that helps
Peter: Then we should match
Tony: You're adorable
Peter: I know :)
Tony: Literally everything you wear will look amazing on you because EVERYTHING LOOKS FUCKING AMAZING WHEN YOU WEAR IT
Peter: You say that because you haven't seen me in my lazy sunday attire yet XD
Tony: What does that look like?
Peter: A shirt that's 3 sizes big on me and sweatpants
Peter: And ugly glasses
Tony: I wear ugly glasses too
Tony: But that's even worse since I wear them because I'm old as fuck
Peter: You're only 10 years older than me
Tony: I'd like to point out that you have daddy issues but then that would seem like I'm not glad that you do so I'll just keep quiet
Peter: Shut up and get dressed XD
Tony: Alright, see you in a bit ;)
God, he loved their banter.
During the past week, they really spoke every single day, for the first two days Tony texted him first, and then Peter got brave enough to text first as well. They got to know each other more, they told each other about their traumas and families - Peter about that one aunt that he still had and loved, and Tony about his dad and mom, then his closest friends who he counted as family. Peter now also knew that Tony loved old school rock, cheeseburgers and liked to work on old cars in his free time, that he went to MIT and graduated early with perfect grades. Tony knew about how much Peter loved to cook and that he loved pets, especially cats, and he was really into the 50's and 60's songs, that he was a nerd back in school and he was part of the decathlon team.
So basically, now they knew a shit ton of things about each other, even just after a week. It was crazy, they wouldn't stop talking to each other, it was like they were fifteen years old in love again.
As Peter's mind was wandering back to Tony and to how amazing of a person he was, he slowly began to get ready for their date. He chose one of his two suits (wow, what a great job) and a baby blue tie that looked good with the light grey. He got dressed, gelled his hair back, and he was ready to go. Thankfully, not long after that Tony texted, saying he's just leaving his place. Peter waited until the doorbell rung again and this time, he let Tony in. There was nothing wrong in letting the man look around, right?
"Hey Tones," Peter greeted when he opened his door for the man. "Come on in, I just have to put on my jacket and my shoes and we can go."
Tony walked in and looked around the small kitchen and dining space. He peeked through the archway to the living room as well, then hummed. "Living cozy up here, I see."
"Very," Peter chuckled. "That's what the landlord said when I was looking around the place as well, I assume because the best was to describe a small ass apartment is ‘cozy’." Tony laughed at that.
"Well it might be small but it's very homey. I like it a lot." The older man leaned over to look at the succulents that stood in a perfect line on his windowsill. "I like the plants."
"Oh there's a lot of them in here, most of them I keep in the living room. Wanna check them out?"
"Yeah sure-" he looked at his watch, "oh wow, maybe not now. We're gonna be late for our reservation."
"Oh sorry, yes, let's go," he said as he pulled up the zipper on his jacket.
They went to a modern place which looked super expensive, but Tony assured him that ut wasn't actually. They sat down at a nice little table for two, a romantic candle lit between the two of them at the center of it. Everything looked so nice and Peter was so excited. They ordered their dinner and began eating as soon as the waiter brought it to them. They were both very hungry already.
"How do you like it," Tony asked.
"Oh it's absolutely amazing. How's yours?"
"Good. I think my mamma made it better, though."
Peter's eyes widened. "Your... mamma?"
"Yeah, my mother used to cook a lot of italian dishes that she learned from my grandmother. She always said that italian food was the best kind of food in the world."
"Wow, I didn't know that."
Tony smirked. "You also didn't know I was half italian."
"No way!"
"Yep."
When they got back from the date to Peter's place, it was already quite late, yet it seemed too early to let the man leave just yet. Peter desperately looked around his house to find something, anything, that could make the older man want to stay for a bit more.
"Hey, I have some leftover wine. It's not Chardonnay or anything like that, but... if you wanna stay for a while and drink some then I think... I wouldn't be very opposed to that."
Tony smirked. "Well how can I say no when you're asking so nicely?"
They took of their jackets, shoes and blazers and Peter grabbed two glasses and the bottle on their way to the living room. They sat down on the couch and started drinking. Tony was looking around the place, the stairs behind Peter's desk catching his eyes and he finally looked up to see a loft bedroom.
"You actually sleep up there?"
Peter laughed. "Yeah, I do."
"There's no walls, aren't you scared of falling off?"
"There's fencing up there, Tones. See, all around the flooring."
"And where's your bed?"
"Oh I don't have a bed. I have a mattress on the floor."
"What the fuck?!"
"Yeah, I mean, it didn't seem like a good idea to have that old hardwood flooring hold up not just my weight but also a bed's weight. So I thought a mattress would be enough. It's actually quite nice up there, I have lots of plants."
"Yeah, and if you come home drunk you might break a leg on your way to your... mattress."
"That's why I mever drink until I get drunk."
They discussed Peter's living situations for some time, and when they finally stopped talking for a minute or two, Tony looked at his watch.
"It's late, isn's it," Peter asked.
"Almost midnight."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to keep you here for so long."
"No, it's fine. I didn't really... wanna leave anyway."
Peter smiled, looking away from the older man's eyes shyly. "You know, if it's already so late... and you had a lot of wine now, maybe... it wouldn't be a great idea to drive home."
"Peter Parker, are you asking me to sleep over?"
He glanced up at the older man through his thick lashes. "Would that be okay?"
Tony put the glass half full of wine down on the coffe table and leaned in to capture Peter's lips in a soft kiss. "It would be more than okay," he breathed when they pulled away. Peter grinned from ear to ear and he pulled Tony back in for another kiss by his tie, this one deeper, more passionate than the one before. They ended up making out for about ten minutes on the couch, Peter's arms around Tony's neck and his legs in Tony's lap, the man's arms wrapped around his body and hands stroking his back. It was perfect. Sexy. Until Peter forgot that he still had a glass of wine in his hand and spilled it all over the back of Tony's shirt.
Tony, of course, forgave him, but it definitely killed the vibes. Tony's dress shirt ended up soaking in the sink while the two of them fell asleep, cuddling on Peter's mattress.
After that great second date, Peter invited Tony over on Tuesday the next week to bake a pumpkin pie together. Yes, it was a lame idea for a third date but it was his turn to finally ask Tony out, and he didn't really want to go anywhere, he just wanted to stay in his apartment, bake a pie and maybe cuddle with Tony under a blanket afterwards. Let a man dream!
Tony didn't seem to have any problems with the idea and on Tuesday, after both of their shift was over, he went over to Peter's.
"Hey! So great to see you again," Peter greeted him with a kiss.
"You saw me yesterday night when we FaceTimed," Tony said.
"Yeah, but that was on FaceTime, it's not the same. Come on, get undressed and we can get to it. I hope you're ready for cutting it open because I can't do that."
"Are you serious," Tony chuckled.
"Don't laugh at me! Just help."
No, Peter was obviously not serious. Cutting a pumpkin open was difficult, but he could've done it if he wanted to. But then he wouldn't have seen Tony roll up his sleeves and his biceps flex as he cut the pumpkin open, which would've been a shame. God, the man was so damn hot...
They cut the pumpkin and cooked it for a while for the filling while they made the pie crust together. It was such a great thing to do together, Peter enjoyed it, to be honest, more than he enjoyed their other dates. He loved cooking and spending time with Tony, mixing the two together only made things that much better.
"It says lightly floured hands, Tony," Peter yelled. "You don't have to take a handful of flour!"
"Oh I know what the recipe says, this isn't for the dough. I just thought maybe I could return that you ruined my favorite shirt last weekend." He wiggled his eyebrows while not taking his eyes off Peter.
"Nooo, no no no no, I said I was sorry!" But it was too late. His date threw the handful of flour at him, covering his shirt (he wasn't wearing an apron because he only had one and gave it to Tony, God damn it!) and even a little bit of his neck and chin.
"Yeah, that's what you get," Tony laughed wholeheartedly, his entire body shaking with his genuine laughter. It was adorable, honestly, and if Peter wasn't covered in flour, he would've smiled at how sweet Tony's laughter was.
"You're a meanie! That wine thing was an accident but this wasn't," he said like he meant it, but honestly, he was enjoying it a bit as well.
"Oh, I'm sorry my dear." The older man cupped his face with his floury hands and kissed him. Peter completely forgot about what happened for a minute, but then Tony's hand slipped into his hair, ruffling it so that the flour got everywhere.
They pulled away from the kiss, Tony grinning widely while Peter tried to mask his own smile and look angry. "White looks so good on you, baby."
"Oh yeah? Let's see it on you!" Peter reached into the flour bowl as well and the next thing Tony saw was him blowing the little white particles at him, he had just
enough time to close his eyes before they hit his face. "Aww, so amazing," the younger man laughed, rubbing the flour into his date's beard.
"You're so immature."
"You started this!"
While they fought over who was more childish, constantly throwing more and more flour at each other until there was barely any more left, they almost overcooked the pumpkin and they made no progress with the crust. Tony also told Peter that he was a terrible cook, which started out another playfight between them until they were wrestling on the dirty kitchen tiles, laughing and screaming as they fought for dominance. The older man ended up on top of Peter, straddling his hips while holding one of his wrists in each hand to stop him from fighting. Their laughter soon died off and Tony leaned down to kiss Peter, the kiss tasted like flour, but it didn't matter.
"I forget why I came here now," Tony joked.
"I wanted to bake a nice pie with my boyfriend, but nooo, you just had to ruin it," Peter said, laughing through the sentence and he wouldn't have noticed what he said if it wasn't for the smile on Tony's face changing into pure shock. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry. I- that was so wrong, I know we've only had two dates so far and we never even talked about where this whole thing was going. I'm sorry for being so forward, I wasn't thinking."
"You really think about me like that?" Tony's head tilted to the side slightly, like an adorable curious puppy's. And Peter would've commented on that if it wasn't for how nervous he felt at that moment. He swallowed thickly, his mouth suddenly very dry.
"Well..."
"Because, you know, I've never... felt this way with anyone before." Tony finally let go of his wrists and scooted off his hips to sit on the tile, now Peter sitting up as well to face him.
"Me neither..."
"It's so weird, I mean, we really haven't spent much time together but this whole thing feels so... natural."
"It does, doesn't it?" He felt so relieved. He wasn't the only one feeling that way! "I mean, talking to you is just so easy and I really like it. You make me happy."
"You make me feel like I'm twenty-something again," Tony joked and Peter smiled slightly, pushing at the man's shoulder. "No, seriously now, you make me feel young, happy, whole. I have never ever felt that before with anyone, and you... like, this is literally our third date and look at us!"
Peter laughed out loud now. "Where are we going with all this, Tones?"
"I think... I think it's a bold move, but how about we just become official?"
"You mean like actual boyfriends?"
"Yeah! I mean, what could go wrong? We both want this and we seem to perfectly match!"
"It's kinda early though, aren't you scared?"
"Hella fucking scared. It's like bungee jumping off a cliff. But everyone who's been bungee jumping and didn't die say it was an amazing experience."
"And what if we die?"
"Then... we'll know not to bungee jump again."
Peter chuckled. "So... boyfriends?"
"Boyfriends." He crawled into Tony's lap and kissed him again, this time it lasted longer. Their first kiss as an actual couple, and it happened nowhere else, but on Peter's dirty kitchen tiles while they were both covered in flour and who knows what else. And the pie was long forgotten.
Tony invited Peter over to his house as well. He said he'd seen Peter's multiple times while Peter had never seen his. So Tony drove him over to the Stark Tower and they went all the way up to the penthouse at the top of the huge building. On their way, they ran into Pepper as well, who greeted Peter with a big smile and told him that Tony had said a lot about him already. Peter was happy and Tony was blushing, but no one saw that (Peter did see it).
When they got up to the penthouse, Peter's jaw dropped to the floor. The living room itself was bigger than Peter's whole apartment and probably just the furniture costed more than his rent.
"Wow, this place was probably a chick magnet," he noted as he walked through the living room.
"It was but it doesn't work anymore. Now I just use it to amaze beautiful doe-eyed teachers with it."
"Well, it fucking works. This place looks great, Tony!"
"I'm glad you like it." His boyfriend stepped up behind him, wrapping his arms around his middle. "You know, it's definitely bigger than your... cozy apartment. And it has a bed. A king sized one, actually, that can fit the two of us perfectly."
"What are you saying, babe?"
The older man started peppering kisses on Peter's shoulder and up his neck, making him shiver. "Well, you could spend some more time here, you know. It has a nice working area, a big kitchen where you can cook whatever you want, and I have Netfix, Hulu and Disney+. It's a real dream, you know."
"Tony, babe, this is very nice of you but what if Morgan will get confused? I mean, she already wants me to be her dad-"
The kisses stopped. "She does?"
Peter mentally smacked his own head. "Uh... she might've been saying things to me about that ever since you first asked me out."
"Wow. She never told me about that. I mean, she asked about how you were when I told her I met you again, but nothing about... that."
Peter turned around in Tony's arm to face the slightly taller man. "On the first day Eric came to pick her up, she was all gloomy because she said she wanted me to be her new dad. And she once gave me a drawing where he drew Pepper, herself and you and me."
"Well, maybe that's a sign then?"
He frowned. "What kind of sign would that be?"
"If Morgan likes you then we really were meant to be. If everything's going so smoothly then maybe the universe is trying to tell us that we belong together."
Peter smiled, leaning his head against Tony's chest. "I want this all, Tony. I really do. But I'm so scared something will go wrong," he whispered.
Tony pushed his chin up with his fingers to make Peter look into his beautiful dark brown eyes. "Let's not worry about the future just yet. Let yourself fall, baby, I'm here to catch you, okay?" Peter nodded, and Tony pulled him into a sweet, loving kiss.
The kiss turned into making out, and then soon enough, hands were roaming bodies and their kisses grew more and more hungry. Tony pulled Peter upstairs into the master bedroom where they settled on the king sized bed, clothes flying off and touches becoming bolder, until they were completely naked.
And they made love. It was amazing, better than any sex they've had before, it was sweet, sensual, passionate, loving, and their bodies fit together so perfectly. After reaching their climax together, they laid in each other's embrace for a while, breathing heavy as they recovered from such an amazing orgasm. And those three little words were so close to slipping from Peter's mouth, but he wasn't gonna say it. Not just yet. But someday.
Someday...

Flower Files, Part 2 (Rujubee, Shangelyssa) - Albatross
AN: Here’s the second installment of Flower Files. Pairs featured are Rujubee in a cute little sickfic and Shangelyssa doing a bit of gardening!
Chapter 3: Rujubee
“You’re sick,” Jujubee stated, arms crossing in the process. There was no question, no uncertainty in her voice, just a plain, simple, factual statement.
Raven, on the other hand, wholeheartedly disagreed with her. She never got sick. Her scratchy throat, foggy head, and stuffed up nose were the result of something else entirely. She was quite confident of that and immediately argued, “It’s just allergies.” Never mind how the voice she spoke with sounded nasally even to her own ears.
Jujubee merely arched her brow at her stubborn girlfriend. She glanced up and down Raven’s form bundled up on the couch and wrapped in one of their oversized fleeces before settling back on the obstinate glare Raven was sending her way. Voicing her disbelief, she replied, “Mh-mm. From what? We don’t have any pets and it’s the dead of winter. No dander, no pollen.”
Raven’s eyes narrowed at her. It seemed like she might give in, or more likely, sulk silently in defeat, but that small hope went out the door as Raven snottily retorted, “Those flowers you sent.”
“You mean the ones I sent because you were getting sick?” Jujubee countered. “Yeah, I’m sure that’s the reason.”
The couple glared at one another for another moment or two with neither side willing to concede. Raven utterly hated feeling like anything less than 100% her normal self and loathed the thought of relying on anyone’s, even her own girlfriend’s, help while she recuperated. Jujubee was annoyed that Raven couldn’t let go of that self-confident bravado and let herself be taken care of, even for a little while. She wanted to help her girlfriend get better, ached to repay her for all the times Raven had cared for her when she felt under the weather. But Raven was still too guarded, even after all these months together.
Sighing, Jujubee decided to try a different tactic. “Alright,” Jujubee relented as she turned away and walked towards the bathroom. “Be back in a minute.”
Raven watched her suspiciously and wrapped the blanket even tighter once she was sure Jujubee was out of sight. She heard her girlfriend rattling around in the bathroom, clearly looking for something in the cabinet next to the sink. Raven found herself feeling slightly curious as to what exactly Jujubee was searching but her head was so cloudy she didn’t get very far with her wondering. Before too long, Jujubee reappeared in front of her and dropped two packets of medicine into her lap.
In a no-nonsense tone, one very unusual for Raven to hear from her, Jujubee told her, “Take whichever you think is gonna work.”
Looking down, Raven found the two packets were quite different from one another; one marked for allergies, the other for cold and flu symptoms. She glanced back up at Jujubee. Her arms were crossed once more as she silently waited for Raven to make her choice. For too long, Raven’s eyes darted between the packages, but Jujubee remained faithfully in front of her, watching her every move. She knew what Jujubee was doing; trying to push her into making the right choice but Raven still detested that kind of not-so-subtle nudging. Still, she found herself feeling surprisingly cowed…so she decided to meet Jujubee in the middle…and make a choice neither would be entirely happy with.
She tore into both packets, selecting one tablet from each, and popped them into her mouth with a taunting little smirk. As she swallowed them down dry, Jujubee cracked a tiny grin of her own. Shaking her head, Jujubee wandered off towards the kitchen, but as she left, Raven could hear her muttering, “Stubborn bitch.”
As soon as she realized there was no real bite to the words, Raven nestled deep into the couch with a pleased little smile tugging at her lips. Off in the distance she could hear the soft clanking of dishware drifting in from the hallway and in just a few minutes, Jujubee returned with two carefully balanced mugs for the both of them. Handing Raven hers, Jujubee collapsed onto the couch next to her and claimed some portion of the fleece for herself.
Taking a tentative sip from her mug, Raven was pleased to find warm, sweet tea rushing down her throat. “Chamomile,” Jujubee replied to her unasked question, grabbing the remote from the arm of the couch, “And honey. It’s good for a sore throat.”
Raven nodded her head and took a much deeper sip. She didn’t normally drink tea, she preferred black coffee instead, but it did seem like it was helping; her throat didn’t feel quite so rough and itchy as it had a few minutes ago.
For the next few minutes, the only sound that filled their living room was the program on TV and the soft sipping from their mugs. It was rather comfortable, Raven realized, Cozy, domestic silence.
Before she was even halfway done with her tea, Raven found herself readjusting her position and leaning just so into Jujubee. She told herself it was merely so she could share the blanket more easily but deep down she had to admit that right now she very much craved that extra warmth and closeness that always seemed to radiate from her girlfriend’s entire being.
When her mug was nearly empty and the pain in her throat mostly gone, Raven spoke up quietly, “Thanks…for the flowers and um…everything else, too.”
She didn’t look directly at Jujubee but still she could sense her smiling. “Anytime,” she whispered back, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek.
Maybe, Raven thought to herself, it’s not so awful to rely on her…just a little.
Chapter 4: Shangelyssa
A proud smile tugged at the corners of Shangela’s lips as she looked around at the boring, semi-barren backyard in front of her. Today’s the day! she thought to herself. A perfectly comfortable spring morning to finally work on the landscaping of her home. She and Alyssa could truly make this house theirs…except Alyssa was a bit less excited about the prospect than Shangela. She had actually physically recoiled at the thought of a little gardening when Shangela first brought it up a few weeks ago. She actually had hoped (maybe even prayed) that Shangela would forget about the whole venture come spring time and move on to something else…or at least not rope her into it. She was not an outdoorsy girl, especially if it involves getting covered in dirt and sweat.
But Shangela was determined.
Over the course of two weeks, Shangela studied the backyard, learned what tools and plants she needed to make her dream garden, and then slowly set out to find the perfect specimens. And now today she had dragged Alyssa out of bed in the wee hours of the morning (at the purely scandalous time of 8AM) to assist with getting all of the work done. Even with Alyssa’s grumbling and whining, Shangela couldn’t help but feel giddy at the reality that everything was finally coming together today.
The tools were already lying organized on the damp grass and all of the potted plants Shangela had splurged on lay clustered together just a few feet beyond them. Now it was time to get to work!
“Okay,” she began, excitement creeping into her voice, “So I guess first…we should make sure we have everything?”
“You weren’t sure when we bought all this shit?” Alyssa grumbled irritably as she wiped away the remaining traces of sleep from her eyes.
Shangela merely smiled back at her, her mood not dampened in the slightest, and replied cheerfully, “Won’t hurt to double check.”
Walking around slowly, Shangela carefully checked things off her mental list of gardening essentials. Just vaguely, Alyssa could hear her distracted mumbling, “Gloves, potting soil…plants are over there…shears, trowel…” Then perking back up, Shangela announced to her, “I think we’re good!”
“Great,” Alyssa spoke in a sarcasm-laden voice. The only thing missing was an eye-roll, Shangela noted.
But ignoring her girlfriend’s spoiled, prissy behavior for the time being, Shangela decided, “So let’s place everything where we want to plant it.”
Skeptically, Alyssa repeated, “'We’?”
“Yes, ‘we’. ‘We’ both own this house, don’t we?”
Alyssa looked at her with an utterly scandalized expression. No one told her she’d actually have to lift things! Immediately a flurry of protests spilled from her mouth, ranging from outright refusals to flimsy, half-baked excuses for why she couldn’t…or rather wouldn’t.
An exhausted sigh escaped as Shangela picked up the first potted plant, shifted around to face Alyssa, and told her, “Quit your bitching, it’ll only take a few hours.”
“Girl, hours? I had plans!”
“No, you didn’t!” Shangela scoffed, walking her plant towards the fenceline. Shouting back over her shoulder, she accused, “You were gonna veg out on the couch like you do every Sunday.”
Alyssa watched her gingerly setting the pot down, her mouth gaping open like a fish’s. There was no way she could do this! It was so dirty and disgusting…and gross. Even the thought of that moist dirt against her skin completely repulsed her. But Shangela was insistent. Setting her sights on one of the largest plants she had bought, she ordered her girlfriend, “Now help me move this one.”
An hour and a half later, after a few rounds of haphazard reorganization, Shangela announced delightedly, “Well, I think we’re finally ready to start digging!”
She was practically vibrating with excitement. It’s really happening, she thought, Just a few hours and this backyard is gonna be perfect!
Alyssa on the other hand, felt quite another way. She returned to her angry grumbling as she reluctantly tugged her gloves into place and tied her hair up into a taut bun. True, it had been pulled back into a loose ponytail earlier but Alyssa was willing to do anything to delay the actual digging. Even if it was just for a few extra seconds. The instant she was done, Shangela handed her a trowel and dragged her over to the closest collection of plants sitting along the fenceline. “Gonna ruin my nails,” Alyssa grumbled, resisting every step, “Have to take another shower…Break my back.”
She groaned out as she knelt down against the grass and felt tiny little pebbles digging against her skin. She hated today. As soon as Shangela finished digging the majority of the hole with her shovel, Alyssa was set to rounding out the edges and ensuring it would actually be deep enough for the first plant. She eyed up the pot and the hole and decided Close enough, then shouted out to Shangela that it was ready. Slowly and delicately, Shangela worked the first plant from it’s cheap plastic pot and set it into the hole. Not quite a perfect fit (Shangela’s glare darting between Alyssa and the extra inch of the root ball sticking out over the top reiterated that) but Alyssa was adamant it was fine. Nevertheless, Shangela had her dig an extra two inches of depth before setting the plant back into the hole and calling it ‘acceptable.’
This pattern continued on for another half hour. The sun was truly starting to peak out and both girls were beginning to break a sweat. Despite her previous enthusiasm, Shangela was nearing her patience’s end. Between doing the heavy lifting, making all the careful adjustments, and Alyssa’s godawful whining, she felt close to snapping. She tried her best to remain calm but as she learned years ago; Alyssa’s bitching, especially when it’s this constant and insistent, can really work on your nerves.
They had switched roles for the time being; Alyssa was now in charge of the shovel and spent her short break leaning expressively against the fence as Shangela cleaned up yet another of the seemingly endless holes they had to dig. Her eyes wandered amongst the slow progress they had been making and tried to think of a new complaint to vocalize. She liked to keep her material fresh after all and if she had to be miserable during this little home improvement project…well, she was damn sure she wasn’t gonna be the only one. But then a small flurry of movement caught her attention.
It almost looked like a bit of wind the way the tall, heavy flower began to sway but Alyssa quickly realized that wasn’t the case. It was the only one moving and instantly she felt her heart begin to hammer in her chest. She waved her hand at Shangela, the other woman too focused on the hole to notice right away, and let out a worried, “Oh…Oh-”
It was that scared vocalization that made Shangela’s head dart up in a flash. Her immediate thought was that Alyssa had hurt herself somehow but as she tried to ask what was wrong, Alyssa cut her off with a screeching, “Oh my god! Shangie!”
“Wha-”
“Kill it!” Alyssa interrupted, squirming in place as she backed herself further against the fence. Her eyes clenched shut for a moment as she pointed over to the bobbing flower and screamed,  “Killitkillitkillit!”
Shangela’s head tilted in confusion as she twisted around to find the source of Alyssa’s sudden, (and slightly hilarious) overblown fear. “What are you-it’s just a praying mantis, ‘Lyss,” she said consolingly. She was trying so hard not to laugh but so far she was not succeeding. Stepping closer to the flower the mantis had chosen as it’s perch, Shangela tried to calm her girlfriend with a soothing reiteration of, “It’s not gonna hurt you. It’s probably just curious.”
“It’s looking at me all funny!” Alyssa argued vehemently, clutching onto her shovel. “Kill it already!”
“I’m not gonna kill it,” Shangela replied mildly, shaking her head with a small smile. Offering one hand as a new platform for the mantis and using the other to carefully usher it forward, Shangela continued with, “I’ll just move it over-fuck!” The moment she touched the insect’s legs, a pair of wings appeared and the mantis took off flying directly at her. Not wasting a single second, Shangela scurried out of the landscape area, screaming, “Fuck, fuck, fuck!”
Running like a madwoman, she shouted to Alyssa, who followed hot on her heels, “Get back in the house! Back in the house!”
Slamming the door behind them, feeling sweaty, exhausted, and so fed up, Shangela gave vent to her feelings, “It flew! It fucking flew! Did you know they fucking did that shit? I hate gardening!” She and Alyssa were both near tears at this point. Fuck gardening! They’ll just hire a landscaper instead!

:: BTS As Your Vampire Boyfriends
warnings ⚠️ smut, blood mentions, fangs kink
♡ Includes places they gravitate towards and countries they lived in, with their current residence in italics. Imagined in a world where a vampire bite will not convert a human, but rather, where species coexist without interference.
↳ NOTE › fuck yeah, bangtan vamps! some bits are juicier, some fluffier, some funny, some heart-wrenching or romantic. you’re in for a surprise 🤓 enjoy!
Tumblr media
⌈ Jimin ⌋ ➝ Urban Vampire. 20 years old. USA, Italy, Sweden. Dresses like your typical haute couture vanguard, complete with bow ties and fishnets. Always has the latest pop culture news from SNS to chat about. Majors in? You guessed it, fashion design. Frequents high-rise apartments of his talkative New Yorker friends, wears huge square shades to fend off sunlight whenever he can. But also just because. The new boutique around the corner? Jimin was the first one to buy that 307$ gleaming Versace choker when it opened. In gold. He might have gotten the $520 guilty pleasure loafers as well. Yes, he does own more shoes than you do. 90 pairs to be exact, it needs a separate closet. He will try on several a night even when you don’t go out and just kiss watching a movie. What on earth is the reason behind all that? It’s to look good for your human eyes only. After all, he can’t see himself in the mirror. If he’s bound to outlive you by fate, he says, at least you’ll get to see him at his very best for the time being. He condenses several of his future lives into the limited one with you. A dazzling outfit can be that diversion and solace. Changing it often makes him feel like living faster, even if he’s headed for immortality. You decided to get a couple wrist tattoo on that last September. Carpe Diem, seize the day.
So there’s a lot to do together. Bucket list after bucket list. But there’s still a routine. Jimin loves destroying his friends at Friday night bowling yet can’t help but let you win every time. No matter how much you provoke him, the guy will aim at the gutters. You actually met at bowling back then. Eleven months ago, at your bff’s b-day party where he was introduced to you as Park, inofficial Prince of Manhattan with a love for sweet blood, orgies, and fiery ladies. The orgies part turned out to be a rumor, but he does say you have sweet blood. Even if it’s bad etiquette among vampires and he knows how much of a vice it is, Jimin loves to subtly show off in front of werewolves and witchers with popular ig accounts about how affluent his vampire family is at underground runway shows. Or sometimes, even fancy dinners where he orders dish after dish for the two of you. His friends suspect it’s all to compensate for how small his canines are since Jimin dearly wishes they were pointier. You’ve assured him that it’s not just better for your neck but also oral sex in general. He’s devilishly good at that. A born lover. Small canines are cute and fashionable anyways, all other talk is bogus. Having a vampire boyfriend remains a special feat and wild ride. But it’s definitely worth it.
Tumblr media
⌈ Yoongi ⌋ ➝ Metro Vampire. 27 years old. Japan, Nigeria, South Korea. Dressed in all black, hoodies and stretchy jeans galore. Studied dental sciences in Lagos and has quite some polished teeth himself, but hardly puts them to use nowadays because he’s been getting more Zen about it. Instead, he can’t live without the internet. It distracts him from any urges and thinking about the future, and teaches his inquisitive mind about everything he needs to know about navigating the wide human world beyond the subway. He travels from station to station in Sapporo with a ticket for eternity and the security of less sunlight, always in search for the best Wi-Fi to text you. Even after two years of dating, Yoongi is still fangs over heels in love. And, needless to say, fascinated by the antics of humankind. When you are preoccupied with work at a restaurant in the afternoon, he jobs as a casual broker with contacts to the griffin elites that run the financial market of mystical creatures.
He frequently jokes that metro vampires are in fact metrosexual. Sometimes visits casinos to kill some time and watch people out of curiosity. His magical ability has caused several power downs in nearby flat complexes — strangely, never the one he is in — but its purpose and origin remain unknown. He’s consulted a supposedly wise street demon about it once but only got a long burp as an answer. Rude. So he travels on and on with the tube. He’s not as much on the go as it always seems, however. Yoongi spends a lot of his time gaming and lounging in your basement. Pretty much naked even if you don’t have sweaty sex at 3 AM. Although, when is it not 3 AM. You’ve developed a little late-night routine there. You bring him coffee, chat, make out, he buzzes you off with your favorite vibrator, you give him slow blowjobs that he records on his phone with shaky hands. Sometimes, with rimming involved, and more action later that night. Yoongi needs to eat pussy to stay on track, otherwise, he falls apart. He’s longing to kiss your breasts all the time and you hold hands when it gets steamy. No biting, he controls himself since he took too much one time. Because he hates planes, Yoongi once crossed the Atlantic in a cargo ship’s high cube not having blood for weeks. After compelling him to suck your whole body off cause dammit I’ve missed your lips, too, vamp guy, you were iron deficient for a month. Yoongi, forever apologetic, has made it a habit to buy you vitamin juice ever since, and orders his blood online.
Tumblr media
⌈ Jungkook ⌋ ➝ Forest Vampire. 261 years old. Canada, Bolivia, Ukraine. Dressed in a large flaxen coat and heavy boots. Owns a distant log cabin between scenic, dense firs in the Rocky Mountains. Where most of his day is all about chopping and stacking firewood to take his laser focus off blood cravings and not so random boners. He daydreams of you moaning in just about every hot position possible. Sometimes pleasuring yourself or grinding on his cock. And your fucking scent. It’s what really makes him hard. And tremendously flustered. He could be 261 million years old, it would still catch him off guard to suddenly remember the smell of your sweat and hair. The first time experiencing it, Jungkook shortly blacked out and salivated on the ground for 15 minutes. Human pheromones are just about every forest vampire’s favorite addiction. Out of all BTS members, he is the most sensitive to light or artificial noise and instinct-reliant, so he tries to be cautious. Regardless, always hoping that you fill his mind with your red-hot image. This guy is so whipped — at this point, he can sell a portion of the wood he chops daily and still heat the oven for weeks with the rest.
Nature has everything he desires. Silence, vastness. It’s peaceful. A lot of animals roam the area. It calms his fantasies to some degree. He’s spent many decades in the Amazon rainforest, it’s no surprise. He likes to watch deer and talks to the occasional satyr past midnight. Doesn’t own a lot of money, but knows how to prepare a hearty meal for you when you visit him. That’s what makes JK feel like a million dollars. And once the plate is empty: Time for carnal sex. He can fuck for two hours, one even on a bad day. When he drinks from you, the sheer neck stimulation through sucks alone can make you approach orgasm. With a little help from his fingers on your clit, boy is he gonna blow your mind. This shit will teleport you into alien dimensions. He won’t aim for anything less. Whatever his saliva does, it infuses you with serotonin for two, three days after, and your friends back home know with one glance: Cabin guy did it again. You’ll both be lightheaded and covered in hickeys by the end of your encounters if the weather is particularly indoorsy and you don’t go fishing. He wishes he’d never have to come to a city because of the bustling streets and lack of forest fairies that soothe his mind. But sometimes, buying new clothes is due. You go to a comparatively manageable shopping mall after rush hour where you can’t keep your hands off each other in the dressing rooms. Life with JK won’t ever bore you, that’s guaranteed. The cherry on top: He wields an unregistered type of magic that can manipulate all kinds of water streams — he’s created a little creak beside his cabin and named it after you.
Tumblr media
⌈ Seokjin ⌋ ➝ Cottage Vampire. 311 years old. Switzerland, Morocco, and Mongolia. Dresses all cozy with big sweaters and trench coats. Jin sells self-grown fruit and vegetables at the market downtown on Saturdays and Sundays. With vivid gestures and plenty of small talk topics up his sleeve, he befriends just about any stranger with two minutes spare time to talk about cheese, chocolate, and the notoriously high prices. Jin is among the most popular stall owners because of the many discounts he grants literally anybody. The Swiss way of very neat, organized, and especially neutral living appeals to Jin who has seen far too many messy wars go down since he was turned into a vampire. You didn’t believe it at first: By a British royal named Hamish back in 1708, inheriting him a magical ability to learn languages particularly fast so his Swiss German is perfected to a T. Jin is an utmost textbook rural sweetheart of the village. He takes care of the cottage with you like clockwork. Watering the herbs, painting walls here and there, cleaning the kitchen, always saying hi to the neighbors. Drinking tea on the terrace, with some cheesecake and cream on the fork, watching the cornfields sway in the wind is the good life. Simple, but meaningful.
There are a lot of lively and busy little blackbirds around the house joining you to pick up some crumbs, and Jin turns on the radio to play old-fashioned folk music of whatever Alp orchestra was recorded thirty years ago. The cake is gone all too soon, and the sun sets. You’re happy. Jin is a loyal and moral vampire who has adopted a vegetarian diet ten years ago and didn’t look back once. No cheating! Even if the market sells a lot of tasty ham and sausages. He’s sworn off that. After 311 years, even vampires start to think about their diet. A lot of fellow vamps in the area think he’s one strange guy, but Jin won’t bother. He gets all of his blood from a nearby hospital for a hefty price because he doesn’t want to drink from you all the time no matter how much you ask him. Sex is a better pastime. Chocolate lover Kim got a big dick and decades worth of time developing how to use it. Jin, when he does nibble at you, also has a very pleasant bite that doesn’t leave marks or just about any kind of bruise. He doesn’t want to tell you his secret because apparently, an old and rather nit-picky basilisk told him. Somewhere in a dusty attic of a Marrakesh craft store selling lamps and the most splendid of perfumes, 170 years ago. If he spills the beans, the special trick is dissolved. So... hush. Some things are better left top secret when it comes to basilisk magic.
Tumblr media
⌈ Taehyung ⌋ ➝ Museum Vampire. 750 years old. Paris, London, and Sydney. Always dons crisp vintage tuxedos in the muted, heavily tailored style of the 1920s. He’s gotten attached to that era. Unsurprisingly, museum vampires are truly nostalgic creatures. Perhaps, also a bit melancholic at one point. Immortality is a two-edged sword. So, Taehyung clings to everything that endures the times. Statues, rustic vases, coin collections, preserved tunics, temple relics, especially fossils of all kind. His favorite place to roam at night is the museum shop or department for Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities. And indeed, it is the Louvre, what other museum could it be. Taehyung has mastered a convenient invisibility spell at the whooping age of 142 by chance after sneaking around the graveyard of Montmartre, trying to blend in with some friendly ghosts who taught him a trick or two. So the CCTV and guards don’t pick up on him unless he manipulates objects displayed in the exhibitions.
Which he feels tempted to. But Taehyung prefers to meet you in a snug alley café at dawn. The one where they don’t serve garlic-heavy dishes. You’ve already seen so much of the museum together in the course of a 4-year relationship. And he can’t possibly dick you down in the gallery of Dutch and Italian masters no matter how horny either of you is, mind you. You’d get anemic fast if you’d be sucking and fucking all the time anyways, and Taehyung really isn’t down to take a lot of blood from you. A little, as you always call it, prick’n’lick is what he usually goes for when you have time to meet in your flat. And maybe a deep, warm creampie to top it off because he knows that his semen does some stuff to you that only vampire magic can cause. You’ll be giddy and talk complete nonsense about Dadaism, Kahlo, and Kandinsky for three hours. Pregnant you can’t get since human with human, vampire with vampire is how the math goes. But extremely high, apparently. So, prick’n’lick. Your favorite activity. Talk about oral fixation: Vampire Tae has a strong obsession with strawberry ice cream. And... caressing your body, seriously. He is into some major VDA (Vampiric Displays of Affection). Believes that in your past life, you were the grand dame Mona Lisa herself. And a flapper. He writes poems about that and keeps them in a huge diary in the cellar of the Louvre. Some bittersweet, some sensual, some full of adoration. You treasure your time with him, always.
Tumblr media
⌈ Hoseok ⌋ ➝ Castle Vampire. 1827 years old. UK (Scotland), Greece, China. Dresses exactly the way you think a dapper castle vamp is suited up. Ruffles, tight pants, gloves, large hats with feathers, tons of Italian lace, even slightly heeled shoes with pointed toes. Has been alive when Sparta was still a thing, saw what went down in the uproar of the actual French Revolution in passing, met Marilyn Monroe, almost got on the Titanic as a passenger, but has enjoyed the Rennaissance the most so far so there’s that. He lived in forts, churches, and even a small barn for some parts of his life until deciding to buy himself a fucking hilltop palace where you can live together. Because lavish castles are, ultimately, what appeals to Hoseok the most, and there is definitely enough space for all of your interests ... and sex toys. Anyway. How did all of that begin. So: The two of you met at a medieval exhibit in Perth where they displayed armors and pieces of weaving. Fell for each other, bonded over a kaleidoscope of shared interests, history knowledge in particular. Hoseok enjoys conversations about mythology, he loves that. And binging a lot of shows on Netflix. Gotta bridge the old and the new. Not that he doesn’t own a giant home theatre with perfect sound system. Maybe he just wants to cuddle up with you in bed and sob when another character dies together so the entire castle staff will hear. No worries though, they’re used to it.
Netflix aside: Aristocracy makes him feel at home. The sunshine regularly hosts interspecies balls with flamboyant masquerade themes so everyone can show up how they’re comfortable. That concerns particularly the slightly introverted elves and shapeshifters from downtown. The last huge ball went under the motto ‘The Glamor of Old Hollywood’ and you dressed up as Rita Hayworth and Fred Astaire, dancing all night and plundering the buffet. Hell of a good time. National holidays are holy to vampire Hoseok and basically equal date night. Given his high sex drive, there can’t be enough special occasions either way. To ride his thighs, his face, mark each other down forever until the pants are a little too tight at the damn front. The guy gets shaky knees at the smallest sight of a delicious pulsing vein no matter his century-long chance to accustom himself with human necks, so you agreed to go by a schedule — #SuckingSaturdays only — and you wear thick scarves. Which fits the moody UK weather anyways. The Scots really dig Hoseok in case you’ve been wondering. You can bet Hoseok is the star of Scottish twitter.
Tumblr media
⌈ Namjoon ⌋ ➝ Mountain Vampire. 3008 years old. Nepal, Kenya, Peru. You tease him about wearing a long, strangely-always-white cloak and staff because it gives him the semblance of a beardless twen Gandalf. He smokes a pipe, too, but not in your presence anyways. Whatever is in there... seems to elevate him. Literally. Namjoon can levitate. There’s no other way he could use in order to visit you in the first place. A beautiful, abandoned pagoda seated on top of a snowy crest is his makeshift home, inaccessible to everyone but him. Only a secluded place like this is suitable for his ancient kind. To meet you in a warmer and more human-friendly environment, he will elegantly descend from his premises to get together with you in the town located at the base of the mountain. As many nights as possible. Always with a self-made present. Like freshly assembled tea leaves or a little talisman he carved from a piece of wood. Found on one of his long evening walks. He knows what eternity feels like best, that your life is but a glimpse compared to his, so every moment will count. He’ll make it right, no worries. It’s Kim Namjoon, taking care of things. You can always rely on him.
On all levels, he never ceases to surprise. Vampire Joon has surpassed the principles of ingestion, sleep, and a sense of temperature. Hell, even finances. He simply breathes and exists — and most importantly: reads for hours — without any external efforts. Even the Middle Ages didn’t leave a single wrinkle on his face. And he is still the best experienced person to share a bed with. No sexual technique is foreign to him, and post-sex spooning conversations are immensely entertaining. Namjoon has a lot of philosophical thoughts on human-vampire relations and met countless historical figures. He’s also befriended the Yeti at one point, resulting in quite a few hilarious narrations that he will retell on request every time you meet. And he makes them funnier every night. Because Namjoon thinks your laugh is prettier than every sunrise and sunset he’s seen around the world combined, on his every voyage. The most interesting part is: He doesn’t drink any blood even if he has fairly sharp fangs that you often catch yourself staring at for minutes. He still seems more invested in making you cum. With sweet words, brainteasers, and wisdoms spoken into your ears quietly. He’s a walking riddle himself. As expected, who are we kidding. Namjoon, no matter the fleeting centuries he has seen, is a gem and all yours for a lot of nights to come.

My favorite Denver restaurants
How was your week?
My week included being invited to have a threesome with two of my work clients, who are both meth addicts and lost custody of their child due to said meth addiction.
My boss asked me to send the text to her and just replied “FOR GOD SAKE” and I feel like that’s the perfect summary of my year.
Speaking of meth, we finally finished watching “Tiger King” this week. I know I know, that show is so one month ago. But I have a lot of thoughts that I need to share with the world.
1. Did anyone else find Joe really sympathetic and felt bad for him? Yes, I know he’s unstable and probably killed animals and stuff but I found him...endearing!?
2. Doc Antle is the creepiest ever ever ever.
3. Jeff Lowe sucks. And his wife is way too young for him. And THE WHOLE THING WITH THE NANNY I JUST CAN’T.
4. The guy with no legs whose name I can’t remember was my favorite character. And just seems so normal. How did he end up there!?
5. I’m proud of Saff for standing up for Joe in the aftershow...everyone else just sold him down the river!
6. Howard Baskin. Howard Baskin singing. Howard Baskin’s wedding photos with Carole Baskin. The show is worth watching just for Howard Baskin.
7. Do I think Carole murdered her husband and fed him to a tiger? Yes. Would I still hang out with her in a heartbeat? ABSOLUTELY.
8. I’m extremely mad that I didn’t come up with “hey all you cool cats and kittens”. And now it’s already over-used.
Do you miss eating at restaurants as much as I do? (Probably not because you’re probably a normal person who has friends and other hobbies). I miss restaurants so much it HURTS. I miss looking up menus and deciding what I’m going to order days before I go. I miss people-watching and commenting on everyone else’s food. I miss kind servers bringing me baskets of bread and drinks that I didn’t make. I MISS RESTAURANTS YOU GUYS.
So, while I’m eagerly waiting for restaurants to start re-opening, I thought it would be fun to share my very favorite places to eat in Denver. Share this list with your favorite Denver local! Or better yet, come visit Denver and try these spots out (and invite me!!).
Cuba Cuba: This was the first restaurant I tried in Denver, because it’s across the street from our old apartment. It’s located in an adorable blue bungalow but is surprisingly spacious on the inside. For drinks, order their house made mojitos or a pina colada. For appetizers, order the plantain chips with guacamole and garlic sauce (YUM) or the empanadas. Everything I’ve eaten there for dinner has been delicious, but I especially love the coconut shrimp and the chimichurri steak.
Perfect for: a date night or girls’ night where you feel like getting a little dressed up (but you’d be fine going there dressed more casually).
Rioja: This is my mom’s favorite Denver restaurant, and she insists we go every single time she’s in town. It’s located in Larimer Square, the cutest and most charming street in downtown Denver. It’s a bunch of old Victorian buildings that have been converted into restaurants and shops, and the street is decorated with twinkly lights and Colorado state flags so it’s a great spot to get a touristy picture when you visit.
The menu changes constantly, so it’s hard to recommend exactly what to order, but you can’t go wrong with the pasta dishes. They are known for their artichoke tortelloni and it’s honestly the best pasta I’ve ever eaten in my life. Last time we also ordered the tagliatelle and clams which was fantastic. For starters, order the smoked pear and raclette if it’s available-so yummy.
Also, Rioja makes all their bread in house, and it’s probably our favorite part of the restaurant. Waiters literally come around with a giant tray of bread and I always try every single type. The lavender sourdough and rosemary biscuit are life-changing.
Perfect for: when your parents come visit (and pay!) or a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday dinner. It is on the pricey side.
Work & Class: This is probably the Denver restaurant I’ve eaten at the most. Located in the very hip Five Points neighborhood, Work & Class is always busy and does not take reservations, so I would recommend going on a random weeknight vs. a Friday or Saturday. If you do go on the weekend, plan on an hour plus wait-the good news is you’re surrounded by bars and breweries to help pass the time.
Work & Class is a South American/American fusion restaurant, and everything is served tapas (small plates) style, so go with someone you are cool sharing with. They have fabulous in-house cocktails which change seasonally, so definitely order one while you peruse the menu. It’s hard to make food recommendations since I’ve probably tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed, but some of my favorites include: the lamb, the empanadas, the mac & cheese, and any of their vegetable side dishes.
Perfect for: your group of friends who you’re comfortable sharing with (eating off of each other’s plates!).
Mercantile Dining & Provisions: This is another spot that my mom insists on visiting every time she comes to Denver. It’s located in Union Station in downtown Denver, which is itself a great spot to visit. It’s an old train station (that is still a working train station) but also home to a hotel, an ice cream parlor, a bookshop, a florist, and every other small adorable business you can imagine.
Mercantile serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (I’ve had all 3 there), but my mom and I have created what we believe is the perfect system for dining there. We always go on the day she is leaving town, since she can take the train from Union Station to the Denver Airport after our meal. We try to go around 11am, and we order a raspberry muffin. My mom doesn’t even like muffins, but these are no ordinary muffins-not too sweet, perfectly fluffy, moist (I’M SORRY) -just sheer perfection. After sitting and people watching for about an hour, we then order a short rib sandwich around noon, as soon as they start serving their lunch menu (it gets quite busy at this time). SO GOOD. SO TASTY. Plus, the restaurant itself is so cute-it looks like Joanna Gaines designed the perfect black-and-white chic modern farmhouse.
Perfect for: brunch/lunch after a morning exploring downtown Denver, or a quick bite before catching the train to the airport.
Lowdown Brewery: Is it cheating that this is actually a brewery and not a restaurant? I say it counts because they make all their food in house. I don’t always love going to the popular breweries around Denver because they’re usually packed. I’ve never seen Lowdown packed and in my opinion it’s the best brewery in Denver in terms of food and ambience-and the beer is good too!
Not only do they make and sell their own beers, but their menu always features a seasonally rotating list of Colorado beers as well. They have a lot of IPA’s (which I despise but everyone else seems to love). I’ve tried their blood orange wheat, selfish (pale ale), and their blackberry sour and have enjoyed all three. In terms of food, you can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas, salads, or sandwiches, but I personally can’t get enough of their beer cheese dip (served with broccoli, apple slices, and soft pretzel bites-I’M DROOLING).
Perfect for: sitting out on their patio with friends in the warm weather. Bring your dog!
El Five: El Five has one of the coolest views of downtown Denver, not to mention delicious food and drinks and great service. Their sangria is the best I’ve ever tasted, but they have tons of great cocktail, beer and wine choices if that’s not your thing (but also what is wrong with you). For appetizers, try the spreads of the med-a platter of house made pita, hummus, and veggies. For their traditional tapas, I’ve tried and enjoyed the patatas bravas, the shrimp & calamari, and the goat cheese croquettes. Then, of course, you must try their paella. I’ve tried both the Valencian (made with rabbit confit!) and the seafood and would recommend either. Be prepared to log roll out of the restaurant when you’re finished because you will have gained 100 pounds.
Perfect for: a festive date night, dinner with your parents, drinks with your girlfriends-just be prepared for an expensive bill.
Stowaway: I’ve only been to Stowaway once, right before the shelter in place order started, but I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. First of all, it is tucked into the cutest former warehouse-turned-hipster-coffee shop/brunch spot, complete with exposed pipes and red brick walls. I AM HERE FOR IT.
We went on a Sunday morning with some friends who warned us to expect a bit of a wait. Fortunately, the Denver Central Market is just a few blocks away so we were able to enjoy some cocktails and/or coffee while we waited.
When we finally got in, I ordered the Colorful Colorado (an egg dish) because of the 8 million reviews I’d read ahead of time that told me I must order this dish or live a life of unending misery and regret (ok, that might be a slight exaggeration but it was something along those lines). I also split the fruit toast with Joshua because I have to order something sweet and something savory when I go to brunch (I know I have a problem, just leave me alone). Both were so freaking good. I can’t wait to go back soon and try everything on their menu (or more likely, order the same two dishes over and over again).
Perfect for: brunch with your favorite hipster friend.
Linger: This is the one restaurant on my list that I love more for the location/ambience than for the food, though the food is certainly tasty. Linger is located in my favorite neighborhood in Denver (LoHi or Lower Highlands) and the building it’s in USED TO BE A MORTUARY. Like, WHERE DEAD PEOPLE WOULD BE SENT AFTER THEY DIED. I personally find this so cool, and if this freaks you out, you would never know except that I just told you (sorry). It’s very airy inside with cozy mood lighting and exposed brick walls. This is another place that does small plates and they’re all globally-inspired street food dishes-the menu is literally divided by continent (i.e. Asia, Africa). For drinks, order the turmeric mule. For eating, you really can’t go wrong, but some dishes I’ve enjoyed include: the bao buns, the impossible burger persian sliders, the tuna tostadas, and the potato masala dosa. Skip dessert because right around the corner you’ll find Little Man Ice Cream-one of my favorite ice cream spots in the city.
Perfect for: a first date/date night, a girls’ night, or a summer brunch on their rooftop bar.
Snooze: Full disclosure-Snooze is a chain and is not just located in Denver; they have locations across Colorado and in a few other states including Texas and California. That being said, I just have to include it on my list because I believe it is completely worth the hype.
Because there is always a long wait (I’m talking 2 hours sometimes), we always go on a Monday morning when there’s a federal holiday that other people don’t get off, such as Columbus Day. Don’t kid yourself-there will still be a wait, but it will hopefully be closer to one hour. Plus, they give out free coffee while you wait!
I don’t even like pancakes, but I always order the pancakes here. ORDER THE DAMN PANCAKES PEOPLE. You can even get a pancake flight where you can sample three different types of pancakes (I highly recommend the blueberry danish pancakes and the sweet potato pancakes). If I’m in a savory mood, I’ll order the breakfast tacos with a side of one pancake.
Perfect for: brunch with your friend, brunch with family or anyone with kids, brunch with your arch nemesis, brunch with anyone.
Hopefully this list made you excited to go back to restaurants again in the future, instead of depressed! And please send me your best restaurant recommendations! These conversations are what I live for.

Tumblr media
Sunday morning broke with clear skies and unusually high temperatures predicted; the makings of a gorgeous day. Since Thursday when Bucky proposed joining you at the Farmer’s Market, you’d continued to find each encounter you had with him more pleasant than the last. After the grocery store, you, of course, saw him at the Nest each morning, but he also happened to be at the bookstore where you went to browse and unwind Friday evening.
It turned out that you shared similar tastes in books and even had a lively discussion about who your favorite authors were. You each challenged the other to read something they normally wouldn’t and then planned to report back with thoughts on the books. That night as you tucked into bed with the book, you found yourself excited about the prospect of more time spent together. It all seemed to come out of nowhere, but you couldn’t deny the light flutterings of butterflies in your stomach at the thought of Bucky.
During those few days, you continued to hear from B, you both still maintaining that air of mystery. He was still as sweet as ever, confusing your heart and head along with the added newness of whatever was happening with Bucky. Both were mostly pushed out of your head on Saturday, since it was your busiest day of the week. You spent the early hours baking double what you did during the week so you could spend more time helping Wanda with customers.
That night after work, you were exhausted, so catching up on some TV followed by some reading before bed was all that was in the plans.
Sunday, you woke up surprisingly early, for a day that you actually had the option to sleep in. You made some breakfast and drank your coffee, then changing your outfit three times before you were satisfied. There really wasn’t any need for you to dress up, since Bucky had already seen you in your worst, sickest state, but part of you just wanted to gussy up a little, even more for yourself than for him.
Just before 9am, you decided to head out early and enjoy a leisurely walk to the park to spend time there until Bucky arrived. The weather was perfect as predicted, sun shining with a light breeze, and your sweater was just perfect for warmth. Settling on a bench, you pulled out your phone and replied to a ‘Good morning’ text you had received from B earlier.
FG: Good morning, Bernard! Happy Sunday. Plans for today? I’m enjoying a leisurely morning out in the sunshine.
B: I’m happy you’re taking the morning off! You work too hard. I’m enjoying  quiet Sunday morning as well.
He followed that message shortly with a picture of a Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, probably purchased from a food truck that traveled around to different locations in the city. “Mmmm waffles” was his caption and you replied in turn with heart eyes and drooling emojis. Minutes later, he sent a link to a youtube video with the caption “Made me think of you.:)”, which caused your heart to skip a beat.
Plugging in your headphones, you slipped a bud in one ear and pressed play. The video was a clip of a stand-up comedian you had heard about, John Mulaney. He opened his monologue with a mention of how he ‘zones out’ often, which you had to admit was relatable, but he then shared an anecdote about the Beatles, how none of them had mustaches and then suddenly they all had mustaches. At that point, you were laughing near the point of hysterics. For the sake of strangers nearby, you tried your best to laugh quietly with a hand over your mouth.
Eventually, you began to calm down and the video ended, so you returned to the message and typed out a reply.
FG: Oh my god, I should not have watched that in public. I think I hurt myself from holding in the laughter.
You hit send with a crying/laughing emoji. Those three dots popped up and you waited for a reply, but when you saw it arrive, your breath caught in your throat.
B: I’d give anything to hear you laugh.
Frozen in shock, you blinked, noticing the three bouncing dots as he continued to type. What the hell did that mean? He wanted to hear you laugh…as in…what? The anticipation was fraying your nerves so when the message popped up, you read it eagerly.
B: FG…could we meet? I know what happened last time was awful and I had no intention of hurting you, then or now. I swear to you that if you give me another chance, I will move mountains to be there. I’d like to explain everything and I would prefer to do it in person. What do you say?
Staring at the open message, you read it over and over again until the words began to blur before your vision. Was he serious? After all this time, suddenly he was making promises again? Part of you wanted to instantly say yes and take the leap, but reason and previous rejection held you back. Why now? What had changed? You had believed him last time when he said he wanted to meet, so you weren’t so quick to trust this time.
Unsure of how long you had been staring at the message, you must have been lost in your thoughts because suddenly a hand was waving in front of your face to gain your attention.
“Y/N?”
Jolting to the present, you followed the hand and looked up to see Bucky standing before you with a mildly concerned smile upon his face. He looked really good, you noticed right away. Dressed casually in well-fitting jeans and boots matched with a t-shirt and button-up plaid, then topped with a leather jacket, you gawked for a moment too long before answering.
“Hi! Sorry, I, uh…sorry,” you apologized profusely while locking your phone, shaking off the message still imprinted behind your eyes. “Just got caught up in something. How are you?”
Bucky laughed lightly as you stood up from the bench. “I’m good, how’ve you been?”
“Not bad,” you replied reflexively. “It’s a gorgeous day to be in the park. Shall we?”
“Absolutely,” he said, gesturing for you to lead the way. “This weather is insane. It almost feels like Spring in October.”
“Right?” you exclaimed, smiling brightly. “I’m not complaining.”
Small talk continued for a few minutes as you walked, then touching on work and how both bakeries were busy and doing well. Bucky then asked about how and why you decided to open City Sweets. You opened up more about baking with your mom before she passed and you feeling at home and closer to her in the kitchen. You went to college for a few semesters, but couldn’t settle on a major that interested you. Always returning to the idea of baking, you ended up taking a culinary course for some professional lessons and then worked wherever you could to gain experience.
The wish of opening your own bakery kept drifting to the forefront of your mind, so after taking a few business classes and coming up with a business plan, you made the leap using the money your mom had gifted you upon her death. It was one of the hardest, most stressful things you had ever done, but also the most rewarding. City Sweets was almost a year old. You were finally starting to make a profit and you hoped that it would continue to grow and blossom in the future.
Realizing how long you had been talking, you shifted the subject to Bucky. “What about you? What made you want to major in business?” you asked as you kept walking, the Farmer’s Market a few hundred yards ahead.
Bucky was silent a moment, rubbing a hand across the back of his neck. “Um…I don’t know, really. I mean, I grew up helping my dad at the bakery and he always wished he’d had more business experience before he started. Most of the time it was just trial and error for him. So, I kind of just fell into it. I didn’t have a strong desire to major in something, so business seemed as good as any. I think that might be why I was so jealous of you when we first met,” he admitted, catching your eye.
Reeling toward him in shock, your jaw dropped. “What? You were jealous of…me? Why?”
He smiled sheepishly. “Because…you found your passion and you went after it. I think you’re doing an amazing job, too. Even from a business perspective, I mean, you’re in a good location with foot traffic, the bakery is cozy but not too small, you’ve branched out to wholesale deliveries, and from what I can tell, your ingredients quality to food cost ratio seems ideal. All within the first year, that’s impressive,” Bucky beamed at you, his gaze then moving toward the market as you two approached.
You took in his words, nearly speechless a moment from his kindness and positive overview of the bakery. “I, um….thank you. That means a lot to me, Bucky,” you quietly replied, almost overcome with emotion.
He just nodded. “Well deserved. I’m just sorry that I made you doubt that because of my own insecurities. I can’t apologize enough, Y/N,” Bucky said sincerely, pausing just before you reached the displays of fresh vegetables.
Pausing as well, you turned toward him and held his gaze a moment longer than usual. “I forgive you, Bucky,” you told him, knowing in your heart that you meant it.
Hearing the explanation of his previous behavior and seeing how much your interactions together had changed over the past few weeks, you held no more resentment for him. It took too much energy to hold a grudge, anyway.
“Thank you, Y/N,” he replied gently, feeling a spark of something between you as you held his gaze.
The moment passed, though, as he glanced at the first produce stand, breaking eye contact. You finally took a look around as the gentle breeze rustled through the treetops. The sound mixed with music that you previously hadn’t noticed and as it registered, you thought back at the video that B had sent the other day. He hadn’t been far from where you currently stood that day. Lost in your thoughts, Bucky’s voice broke through them.
“Y/N?” he prompted, apparently not for the first time because he had an amused, patient smile on his face. “Are you okay?” Bucky asked, noticing your distracted nature.
“Yeah!” you replied, a little too loudly. “Um…yeah, I’m good. Sorry.”
Shaking your head, you walked to the table of produce and marveled at the colors and freshness.
“Oooh, beets,” you cooed, picking up a bunch of the red root vegetable with green stalks still attached. “I’ve been thinking about using more natural forms of food coloring at the bakery and I’ve heard beets are good for that. What do you think?” you asked in anticipation, glancing Bucky’s way.
He smiled at your enthusiasm. “Yeah, I’ve heard that too. I think it’s a great idea,” Bucky agreed, picking up a head of lettuce.
The morning passed, finding yourself enjoying Bucky’s company as you perused the table of each vendor selling their wares. You felt the happiest you had in a long time, finding a lightness and comfort as you talked and laughed with Bucky. Sometime later, you turned down the street toward the area where crafts were sold when you spotted a familiar food truck. Stopping mid sentence, you wandered forward and confirmed that yes, this was indeed where he had been according to the sign.
B had been here in this very spot, holding a waffle. It had been over an hour since his message, but you couldn’t stop yourself from glancing around at the people, wondering if perhaps he was still there. You had no way of knowing, but still…
“Y/N? Did you hear me?”
“Hm?” you quickly replied, blinking.
“I asked if you wanted a waffle. Where did you go just then?” he asked with more concern this time. “What’s going on with you? If you want to cut the morning short, that’s okay, but—“
“No!” you nearly shouted, then feeling terrible about your behavior. You didn’t want to say goodbye, but your attention seemed to be split despite efforts to remain in the moment. “I mean… it’s not that. It’s not you, I’m so—“
“Don’t apologize again,” Bucky kindly interrupted. “You don’t have to, it’s just…you can talk to me if you want to,” he offered sweetly.
You felt your resolve crumbling, wondering if Bucky would mind if you mentioned another guy or if he would just find it odd for you to be corresponding with a stranger. Biting your lip, you rolled it around in your head and came to the conclusion that you might as well get a second opinion on this mess. If he wasn’t as understanding as you expected, then at least you would know his character a little better. Taking a few steps, you settled in a chair at a small table outside the Belgian waffle food truck and gestured for Bucky to do the same.
Taking a deep breath, you began. “It’s kind of a long, weird story…”
_________
You sat in silence a moment, allowing Bucky to process what you had just finished sharing. It sounded crazy, even to your own ears, but Bucky had become a friend somehow over the past few weeks and it seemed like he truly wanted to know what was on your mind. Fiddling with the bag of vegetables resting on the table, you waited until he was ready to respond.
“Wow,” Bucky finally spoke, his gaze off in the distance. “That’s quite a unique way to meet someone.”
You scoffed at that with a shrug. No point in denying it.
“So…you like this guy? Even though you don’t know anything about him?” he asked gingerly, brow furrowed.
Letting out a sigh, you thought about it for the hundredth time and came up with the same answer. “Yeah. I think I do. Is that crazy?”
He shrugged this time. “I don’t know. Crazier things have happened. I can’t think of any at the moment, but…”
You chuckled at that and gave him a playful shove.
“Sorry, sorry,” he replied with a laugh. “But you’re willing to give him another chance, even after he stood you up? No wonder you blew up at me that day at the Nest, by the way. I’m sure I just made a bad situation worse.”
Feeling a warmth in your face, you spoke up. “I really shouldn’t have, I—“
“No, no,” he gently interrupted. “No need to apologize, I needed that wakeup call.”
Smiling gratefully, you thought about his previous question. “I know it might seem naive of me, but…I don’t know. I guess I just want to find out for sure if he is who I imagine him to be. If somehow I’m disappointed once again, then at least I’m not left wondering. I just don’t want to go through life with regrets, you know?”
Bucky was silent again, the corners of his mouth curving upward. “Yeah. That’s a good point. I don’t think it’s naive of you to think the best in other people. It’s a great quality, actually,” he complimented as he placed a hand on top of yours resting on the table.
You felt that electricity again, meeting his gaze for a lingering moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you were interrupted by an alert from your phone. Reluctantly, you retrieved your hand and searched through your bag for the device. A previously set alarm had gone off and suddenly you noticed the time.
“Oh, no. I have to get back to the bakery,” you told him regretfully as you stood and gathered your bags.
“Of course,” Bucky replied, getting to his feet. “I’ll walk with you.”
Grateful that your revelation hadn’t ruined your morning outing or time with Bucky, you nodded with a smile.
“Okay.”

Stepping off the subway at your intended stop, you climbed the stairs up to street level. This wasn’t a part of the city that you visited often, but it was a nice change of scenery. Nervously wiping damp hands on your jeans, you crossed the street and headed for your destination.
After your lovely and unexpected morning with Bucky in the park on Sunday, he walked you home and you unlocked the bakery after saying goodbye. Your mind was a mess of thoughts as you went about your usual tasks of setting up chairs, brewing coffee, and baking fresh pastries to sell for the day. No deliveries on Sundays, so it was less of a rush to get everything ready. By 11am, you turned over the sign to read “Open” and the work day officially began.
You didn’t mind manning the shop on your own on Sundays. The atmosphere was much more relaxed and the weekend crowd seemed to enjoy lingering with their coffees and croissants. There was a lull in business for half an hour and during that time, you nearly drove yourself crazy trying to decide how to respond to B. Your talk with Bucky had helped, but there was still a lot to consider.
Finally, you pecked out a reply and quickly hit send before you could rethink it.
FG: One more chance. I’m trusting you. Please don’t make me regret it.
He replied quickly, which you were grateful for. The wait was always the worst.
B: I won’t, I promise. I hope I can make it up to you. Tell me when. But would you mind if I chose the where?
Puzzled, you thought it over and settled on Tuesday afternoon. The bakery usually wasn’t terribly busy and it gave you some time to prepare to be gone later that day. When B told you where he wanted to meet, you were surprised, but also intrigued. As far as recognizing one another, the same rule applied, so you dug out the crumpled Beatles t-shirt you had thrown in the closet after the previous incident and put it in the wash.
Now, as you wore the shirt with jeans and a jacket, you felt the butterflies in your stomach with each step. Approaching the notable area where B had asked you to meet him, your eyes grew wide at the beautiful buildings that housed some of the greatest artists and performers in the city. The Square was enclosed on three sides by beautiful, glass-covered and columned buildings that offered an air of sophistication. Per his instructions, you headed for the center of the square where a fountain resided.
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts was the home to the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, and the New York City Opera. It was also adjacent to the Juilliard School where many of the greatest musicians and artists were taught. This area of the city was incredible and awe-inspiring, especially if one was lucky enough to get tickets to such an event. However, in the afternoon, it was mostly filled with tourists, which is why you were all the more curious about why B chose this spot.
People were milling about and taking pictures as you heard a string quartet playing a classical music piece. The group of young musicians were loosely surrounded by a crowd and a cello case was open with bills and coins dropped inside. Starving artists and all that. Just as you were about to sit down beside the fountain, the song changed and you froze. You knew that tune. You’d know it anywhere.
Ah, look at all the lonely people…
You heard the lyrics in your head, recognizing it as “Eleanor Rigby” by The Beatles. Stunned, you turned toward the sound and slowly began to approach the quartet. You watched them, mesmerized, until you heard your name being called. It was the last thing you expected to hear, so it took a moment for it to register. Turning around, you followed the voice and saw…him.
Confused, you took a step forward and opened your mouth to speak before you looked down and saw the t-shirt he was wearing. The Rolling Stones.
In that moment, it all came together in your head and the blood drained from your face.
“You?”

Ahhh!!! Cliffhanger!!! I know, I know, I’m sorry. I think we all know who B is, but a little more waiting until we find out her reaction. What would you think if he brought you all the way out to Lincoln Square with a stringed quartet and everything?? Hmmm. It’s about to go down, you guys. :D Wasn’t that walk through the Farmer’s Market lovely? That conversation about “B” was kinda meta, though. heh. At least Bucky didn’t confirm or deny anything! I think he really did want to hear straight from her mouth that she was falling for him. Kinda. ;) Please let me know your thoughts!! Any and all feedback is appreciated! I adore you guys. Thank you. <3
