Shit, you’re going to be so late. Thank God you live right behind the school for this exact reason. Your backyard is right by the school’s football field so you cut across it every single morning and afternoon. Due to being so close, you can sleep in longer than everyone else.
This time, you might have overslept.
You jump over the fence and walk across the empty football field quickly. You think it’s empty until you hear someone over by the bleachers. You walk a bit closer and see it’s one of the most popular jocks, Jake Staton. He’s honestly one of the best players this school has seen in a few years but all you’ve heard is horror stories about him.
He’s arrogant, a terrible lover, and at times, abusive. He thinks so highly of himself and doesn’t treat women right. Ask any one of his ex-girlfriends.
The girl he’s with says something you mistake for a moan but the closer you get, the more you realize she is protesting against Jake.
“No, stop. Get off me,” she begs.
“You know you want it, baby. Don’t fight it,” he smirks and kisses her neck.
“Seriously, stop. I mean it.”
You could keep walking and ignore what you saw but that’s not who you are. You have a reputation for sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.
“Hey, dickwad,” Jake steps back from the girl to glare at you. The girl pushes him off her but he doesn’t move much. “She said no.”
“Fuck off.”
You step closer and put a hand on his shoulder to yank him away from her.
“She said no. You’re the one who should fuck off.”
Suddenly, you feel a stinging sensation on your cheek. You fall to the ground from the impact and stare at Jake in shock. He backhanded you with the hand that has rings on it. The girl sees this chance to run away from him, and he scoffs at not getting some before school. He steps closer to you but you don’t do the smart thing and back away. You’re not going to show him any weakness.
“Get in my way again and it won’t be your face I’m slapping next.”
Once he is gone, you take your hand away from your cheek to see it bleeding. God, this shit hurts. You can’t go to class with a bleeding cheek so you push yourself to your feet and head to the nurse’s office.
“Come on in, honey,” she says when she sees you standing in the doorway. When she sees your cheek, she gasps. “What happened?”
“I tripped and fell.”
She knows you’re lying but she doesn’t press on if it’s going to make you uncomfortable. You sit down on the examination table and allow her to look at you. She takes care of the bleeding which isn’t from a big cut so it’s easily manageable with a bandaid. The only thing that will be prominent is the bruise already starting to form. She grabs an ice pack from the freezer and places it over your cheek.
“Thanks,” you wince and keep it there.
“Stay here. I’m going to grab something to help with the pain.’’
“Okay.”
You’re sitting there for not even five minutes when Peter Parker walks by the nurse’s office. He makes eye contact and keeps walking but stops suddenly when his brain registrars that it’s you. He rushes into the office with an angry look on his face.
“What the fuck, Y/N?” he cusses quietly. You try to keep him away from you but there is no use. He takes off the ice pack to see the darkening bruise underneath. “Who did this to you?”
When he sees your bruise, you can tell a piece of his heart broke through the look in his eyes.
“I’m fine, Peter. It’s nothing,” you sigh.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
You forgot how overprotective he was when you two were dating. He was the perfect boyfriend to you. He’d treat you like you were the only woman in the world, he brought you flowers every time the old ones died, he made you feel safe and loved. You were and still are in love with him.
He was the one who broke up with you. You went to his house for a study session when he dropped the bomb on you. You were heartbroken. Why did he do it? You two were going really good save for a few secrets you knew he was keeping from you.
That’s why he ended things with you. He hasn’t told you that he’s Spider-Man and it was becoming a hindrance keeping that secret from you. He loved you too much to bring you into his mess so he had to end things with you before you got hurt because of him. It hurts him to keep you at such a distance knowing how much he loves you.
“Jake Staton,” you sigh. Keeping it from him is pointless. He would have gotten the answer one way or another. “He was going to rape this girl and I had to stop it. I couldn’t do nothing.”
He loves how caring you are about other people, even people you don’t know. He places the ice pack back on your face and you hold it there so it doesn’t fall. He doesn’t say another word and leaves the nurse’s office.
He doesn’t have to say anything for you to know where he’s going. After the nurse gave you some medicine for the pain, a touch up of your makeup, and one of Peter’s baseball caps that you stole, you were ready for school. You kept your head down for the first half of school so that you didn't have to talk to anyone.
By lunch, you are sitting with your best friends who already know what happened. You’re checking out of the conversation since you don’t feel like talking to anyone when you notice Jake on the far side of the cafeteria. He’s sporting his own bruise on his face with a swollen eye and busted lip.
Your eyes immediately go to Peter who is sitting with Harry and Gwen. He grins when he sees you and winks at you to let you know even if you’re broken up, he still will always protect you. You know you shouldn’t feel this way but your heart skips a beat and your stomach does summersaults at his attention.

Hues of velvety violet and radiant amber mixed, painting the evening sky like a scene out of a museum. The scent of warm sea salt was still palpable in the air, the crystal like water of the wide-expanding ocean reflected the light of the setting sun. Dancing specs of light could be seen in the darker shades of the sky, stars bright and clear against the inky color.
The cold metal of the hotel balcony pressed against your exposed skin, shirt having risen up as you leaned over it slightly. The view was beyond breathtaking, something you would argue belonged on a movie screen. It was serene, offering a moment of reprieve from the typical chaos you endured in a day, and a distraction from the man currently sitting in the hotel room behind you.
Hate didn’t describe the emotions you felt for the brunet. On a daily basis, there was an underlying disinterest but every now and then a seething annoyance would bubble at the mere thought of the former soldier. You couldn’t pin-point why. Bucky himself had never done anything to wrong you after his rehabilitation and reintroduction into society, and you could easily say nothing the Winter Soldier had done counted towards your feelings.
The odd part of it all is the Bucky and you worked well together, great even. More often than not, you found yourself partnered with Bucky on just about every mission the two of you had; from quick in and out missions to undercover operations like the one you were on now. The communication was great, the two of you easily fell into a rhythm and could read each other’s body language like you’ve known each other your whole life. It was easy to slip into a faux-domesticity with him, which was a stark contrast to the daily life you lived.
The day to day with Bucky involved a lack of any form of contact. You’d avoid the gym if he was in it, would eat in silence if the two of you happened to be in the kitchen at the same time, eye-contact was consistently avoided - Really, the only time the two of you were seen together at home was during group training sessions and team-building nights. You were sure to never make it awkward for the rest of the team, never bad mouth or be outwardly annoyed at Bucky’s presence, you just really couldn’t care less if he was there or not.
“Sweetheart,” his voice carried from the room, light and sweet, almost intoxicating with a feeling instantly having your gut turn and catch your skin aflame, “Did you want to go out for dinner tonight or just order room service?” His voice got nearer as he moved to join you on the balcony. The cool metal prosthetic wrapped around your waist as he stood next to you.
A soft hum left your lips, gaze moving from the horizon to the prosthetic then to Bucky’s face. He adorned a slight scruff, long hair pulled back into a low bun; His eyes nearly twinkled as they reflected the setting sky in the distance, he wore soft maroon button down and black chinos that truly made him look like a normal, well-off guy. Tony and Peter had finally managed to perfect the color needed to make Bucky prosthetic look like a normal arm which easily sealed the deal on assuring that there was nothing major that could be easily spotted to dox the two of you as agents.
The flight to Morocco was long and the next 10 days were easily going to be even longer, the last thing you wanted to do was be anywhere but a soft bed. “Room service,” you replied, matching the tone he had asked the question with. You leaned your head against his shoulder, moving your gaze back to the ocean, “Did you do a room check and get our things set up?”
He nodded, “Everything inside is clear and put away,” he squeezed your side softly when he said inside, a subtle emphasis to communicate where it was safe to not be in character. “I’ll go order the room service, you can go shower and get comfortable. I know how much you hate the airport.” He chuckled softly at the end, pressing a quick kiss to your hairline before making his way back inside.
You let out a soft sigh, making it inside as well and closing the balcony door behind you as you did. This really was going to be a long 10 days.
**
The bitter taste of the wine nearly made your mouth water, sitting somewhere between too intense and the perfect thing to take the edge off. The first full day had been smooth, an easy itinerary of walking and exploring the city. From the outside, the two of you easily looked like a love sick couple; matching clothes, a large diamond in your hand, Bucky always opening the door for you and your soft smile that just couldn't seem to leave you face; but in reality you had been mapping the city, learning the back alley ways and locating any ports that may be needed for a quick exit.
The small patio of the restaurant adorned a handful of tables, lanterns lighting the area in a soft romantic glow, lucious plants filling in any space, the open space allowed for ease of blending into the crowd while watching any passerby on the street. Bucky had taken up a game of footsie with you, chattering along about some of the shops you had passed along the way.
“Is there any shop you’d want to make your way back to?” Bucky took a sip of the wine in front of him, eyes fixed on you intently.
A soft hum left your lips, swaying your head back and forth softly as you thought. “Well, I wanna hit up the history and art museum, so maybe we could see if there’s any other cute shops there? If not, I’d definitely like to look at the jewelry store and bookstore we passed on the way here.”
“Mmm, I do think it’s time to get my pretty girl a new necklace,” the words fell off Bucky’s tongue like he sweet talked you on the daily.
There was that feeling again, the uneasiness that laid in the pit of your stomach and your skin heated up. Maybe this was why you couldn’t stand Bucky outside of missions, maybe you just didn’t want to deal with this feeling constantly. “You spoil me enough, ya know,” you offered a soft giggle, “I can assure you I don’t need any more jewelry, my love.”
Bucky smirked softly, cocking his eyebrows up at you with a knowing look on his face, “You may not need it, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to do it anyways.”
You shook your head, about to offer a rebuttal as the waiter set your food down in front of you, all thoughts being lost to the amazing sights and smells. “This is easily my favorite part of our trips,” you stated, the distraction of food keeping you from noticing the way Bucky’s gaze stayed on you and a soft smile lingered.
**
Six days of being enveloped in Bucky’s presence, and thankfully it was getting easier by the moment. It had been a smooth operation so far, the information being easy to locate and gather without raising suspicions. As a result, Tony had said to take a day to relax, lay low and assure no one was able to realize there was something more to you two.
Bucky had made a home on the balcony of your hotel, a book in hand and a coffee sat on the little table next to him.He been there since the early morning and it was easily almost noon, not that that you were bothering to check the clock. A day off meant a day of sleep and eating, nothing much more than that.
However, sleeping wasn't something your body wanted to do so you found yourself with a forgotten movie playing on the television, your gaze consistently going back to him. You weren't sure why, but you couldn't keep your eyes off him. You'd been sitting for the past God knows how long trying to figure out why you couldn't pull your eyes away from him. His hair was down, something he didn't do quite often, almost always finding it easier to have it pulled away from his face. From the angle he was sitting, you could see his light gray button down was still completely unbuttoned, his jean shorts a little too snug around his thighs. He occasionally sipped the coffee that was most likely cold at this point, turning the page of the thick novel occasionally. His lips would purse, eyebrows scrunch occasionally, or a small chuckle, or even a shake of his head as he reacted to the words on the page.
The wind picked up some, indicating a small rain storm that was destined to his later in the evening was starting to make it's way in. Bucky pulled a hair tie from his pocket, tying his hair into his typical low bun before picking his book back up. And it finally hit you; Fuck he's pretty.
The thought immediately made your body heat up and the instant feeling of something in between shame and excitement sat low in your belly. It was like a well known secret your subconscious kept for years finally made it over the wall of denial in your brain, immediately making your thoughts run wild; Fuck he's so pretty, more than pretty actually. What if this is why we've been weird for some many years? Wait. Why would that make it weird? Wait. Why is it weird? Why do we get along so well on missions and then act so differently at home? Oh My God… Has the team been trying to set us up?
Shaking your head, you jumped up, apparently too suddenly because Bucky broke his concentration on his book to glance over at you. You could feel he was watching you move around, the only thought in your head now was to get out for some fresh air as you deciphered the flood of thoughts. You grabbed some fresh clothes, slipping into the bathroom with a heavy sigh once the door was closed.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, attempting to ground yourself. Okay, what the hell is going on? The question kept repeating itself over and over in your head as you slipped into a summer dress, a sage flowy piece that Natasha and you bought for this trip specifically. It was cute, and Nat was right when she said it complimented your skin; definitely different than your normal attire but still comfortable.
Walking out of the bathroom, you were relieved to find Bucky still where he was when you entered. After slipping on some sandals, you moved towards him, immediately aware of every detail of your very being. "Hey," you kept your voice soft, waiting for him to pull him eyes from the book and look up at you. There was something about how brightly his eyes shone with the golden sun beating down on him, there was a sense of both innocence and mystique, and the instant feeling of safety just from holding his gaze. "I'm heading out to get some coffee, do you want a fresh one? You've been sipping at the same cup for hours now."
Bucky glanced down at the cup, then to his watch, eyes going wide for a moment before a soft chuckle left his lips. "I've been out here for 4 hours already, shit. Yeah, I'd love a fresh one, doll. Thank you." He offered you a soft smile, "Just get me a-"
"A latte with three honeys on the side," you said matter-of-factly, "I could order for you at just about anywhere at this point." It was a teasing joke, one Bucky laughed at, but you instantly cursed yourself for even saying it.
"We do spend quite a bit of time together," he hummed out, "Did you want to go out for dinner or get room service tonight?" He asked, picking his book back up as he prepared for your departure.
"Let me see how I feel after I get back. But if we go out, it's your turn to pick. I picked last night." You stated before leaning down to kiss his hairline, still needing to keep up the act just in case someone was managing to spy; or at least that's what you were telling yourself. "I'll see you inna bit."
**
After returning with the coffee, still finding Bucky to be where he was when he left him, it was an instant decision to find a way to give yourself more time a way from the man that had your mind absolutely scrambled. Grabbing a book of your own, you let him know you'd be down by the pool if he needed you, using a quick excuse about wanting some change in scenery before the rain came as you left.
You weren't entirely sure how long you'd been out there, it couldn't have been too long, but you we're aware you were reading the same page over and over again. The words seemed to mix together, jumbling about and not registering even in the slightest, your brain still attempting to make sense of what you were feeling.
You never denied that Bucky was attractive, that's admittedly part of what made undercover missions easy. You never denied that you two got along well on missions, but you couldn't explain or pinpoint why you didn't get along at home. Sure, you were never hostile or rude, but it was exactly friendly or outgoing either. No matter how much you thought and walked through your early memories of Bucky, you couldn't make sense of anything.
At this point, you knew pride was part of the issue. You knew the team would be able to walk you through, at the very least Nat or Pepper or maybe even Steve, but you could never admit to them what you were currently feeling or going through. The only thing you wanted to do, needed to do was to act normal until you got home. Then you could just hide away and go back to not having to interact with the man that was causing you turmoil.
"There's my pretty girl," Bucky's drawl quickly pulled you out of your thoughts, causing you to jump at the sudden push back to reality. Seeing you jump caused Bucky to chuckle, especially as you turned to glare at him and his bright smile, "It's getting late, baby. We should go get some food."
He moved to the lounge chair you had made home in, kneeling down next to you so he was eye-level. There was that feeling again, low in the pit of your stomach that had your skin warming. "There's apparently food trucks at a park about not too far. Why don't we head there and get some food to bring back and watch a movie?"
Instinctively, you reach to tuck a strand of loose hair behind his ear, offering a soft nod and a smile, "That sounds perfect."
You wanted nothing more than to kiss him, the thought immediately making your already warm skin heat up more, feeling flustered and like a school girl. It's not like you haven't kissed, it was just agreed upon that it was reserved for dire need situations. All other physical touchs; hand holding, forehead kissing, even smacking each others ass was okay to sell the facade that you were a happy couple.
Bucky picked up on the change, a look of slight worry on his face, "You okay, doll?"
The laugh that left you was slightly anxious, holding the book in your hand up as a quick white lie, "Yeah, you just came down at a particularly… intense scene."
He immediately laughed, kissing your forehead as he stood up. "You're so cute. Let's get going though."
**
The bustling crowds offered a great distraction - Bucky stood proudly by your side, fingers interlocked together and swinging your joined hands softly like a love sick couple. The both of you scanned the crowd, trying to figure out where to go and what to get.
The lines weren't too long, there were nearly a dozen trucks, and live music playing. The sun was finally setting, more clouds rolling in and bringing in a cooler breeze that allowed for a reprieve from the beach heat. There were benches with umbrellas set up, lantern lights adorning some posts and wires around the lot. It was cute, and if it wasn't for the mission you were still technically on, it would feel so wrong to be here with Bucky.
After a moment of thought, you looked at Bucky, lips slightly pursed in thought, "I have an idea." You stated matter-of-factly.
He cooked an eyebrows at you, intrigued and slightly amused with your tone, "Let's hear it then."
"Let's get a platter or some random menu item from every truck then go back to the room and eat there."
Bucky looked around and nodded, "Ya know what, doll, that sounds fantastic. Do you wanna divide and conquer or go one by one?"
It was then that you realized the clouds were darkening, and the rain was definitely going to happen sooner than later. "Let's divide and conquer before the rain comes."
With a nod of agreement the two of you split, heading to either end of the trucks and working your way to each other. With the lines being shorter, it didn't take too long to get through them all, the both of you holding multiple bags stacked full of food and tied tightly. Quick words were exchanged before you started heading back towards the hotel, hoping to make it back before the rain.
The effort was fruitless though, with just maybe a few hundred feet left before the hotel you were staying at, the cold rain begins to pour down, the dark sky opening up and letting go every ounce of water it was holding on to. With loud gasps from the both of you, and small playful shriek even, you two took off running into the lobby, screeching yourselves to a stop as you entered and stood on the mats in front of the door. You were breathing heavily, attempting to catch your breath; a quick glance to Bucky showed you he was doing the same.
After a few moments, the two of you made eye contact, bursting into immediate laughter. You were both soaked head to toe, the only thing saved was the food. His shoes make a sloshing sound and your feet slid around in your sandals, you clothes clinging to every inch of your bodies. You were easily a sight for sore eyes, but it couldn't have been funnier.
"Why didn't either of us think about the rain?" You managed to get out through your laughter.
"Who knows, but let's get upstairs so we can get dry." He managed to respond.
The elevator ride up felt like an eternity, the cold of the AC feeling more intense from your wet skin. Bucky opened the door for you, letting you in first. He set the foot down, immediately kicking off his shoes. "Go shower, get warm. I'll pull out a change of clothes for you and we can swap when you're done."
Something about the direction made you freeze momentarily, causing him to look up at you, "(Y/N), you're freezing. Go shower. I'm fine to wait." His voice was soft and caring and there was a part of you that wanted to tell him to shower with you.
In the dim light of the room and the soaking wet clothes made him look even more divine, like he was sculpted from the gods themselves. You nodded, handing him the bags before making your way towards the bathroom. You closed the door, then quickly opening it to call out but he cut you off, "You want an oversized shirt and a loose pair of shorts, gets your ass in the shower." His tone was demanding but still playful. You caught the look in his eyes, mischievous, playful, and a hint of something you didn't want to recognize.
You kept your shower quick, ready to be in comfortable clothes and a bed with good food. After quickly drying yourself as much as possible, you wrapped yourself in a towel, and stepped out into the bedroom. Bucky stood in only his boxers, his own clothes in one hand while he scrolled through the television with the other. It wasn't the first time you've seen him with this little clothing, but something about it now made your mouth dry and your skin heat up.
"All yours," you said, grabbing his attention as you moved to the bed where he laid your clothes out for you.
"Thanks, doll. I'll be quick. You can pick the movie," he tossed the remote onto the bed before disappearing into the bathroom himself.
You stood there for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm yourself before slipping into the clean clothes. Bucky had already made work of getting creative. He pulled the ironing board from the closet and set the food up next to the bed, had fluffed the pillows up into a sitting position, and already gotten drinks for the two of you. By the time you had decided on a movie, Bucky was coming out of the bathroom.
Immediarely, you mind started short circuiting again. He looked soft. He had on a light blue shirt and a pair of light gray shorts, his hair was towel dried and brushed against his shoulders, a slight wave to the brown locks. He slid in bed next to you, getting himself situated and comfortable before handing over the massive spread of food for you to start digging into.
After about 20 minutes of eating and watching the movie in a comfortable silence, Bucky turned the volume down some, "Can I ask you a question?" The tone of his voice alone already told you how he was feeling. There was a sense of worry, anxiety almost to him.
"Of course, what's wrong?" You asked, sitting your food to the side so you could turn to look at him.
Bucky followed your lead, moving the food he had off the bed as well before taking a drink, trying to have a moment to articulate how he was going to ask what he wanted. Even though Bucky was sure the room wasn't bugged, he knew that there's was never a 100% chance of assuring that. The fact alone could make talking about things outside of the mission difficult, and this one one of those moments.
"How's the trip been for you? I know we haven't been on one in a while and I just want to make sure everything's okay, that we're okay." He had turned fully to look at you now, the worry in his voice making it to his eyes.
"Oh…" the response was immediate, and you regretted it instantly the second you so that worry on his face grow, "The trips been wonderful, and uh…" You sighed, toying with the blanket around you, "We're fine, yeah. I'm just… not here?" You said, sort of motioning to your head to get the point across.
Bucky cocked his head some, the worry turning to confusion. "Are we going to be okay when we go home?"
That was something you couldn't answer. What was okay. Was okay how you normally act? Was okay something different? Something better? Something worse?
"Uh… maybe?" You offered, immediately wincing at your own words. You sighed deeply, "I don't really know how to explain what I'm feeling."
"Okay," Bucky took a moment, letting you both sit in the uncomfortable silence that was the lull in the conversation. He was doing his best not to become frustrated, he knew there was most likely no easy way for you to communicate what you wanted to say or even what you were feeling, but he's been able to tell for the past couple of days that things, specifically that you, have been off. "What do you know?"
Your gaze met his again, taking a deep breath in to try to gather the courage to say what you needed. "Things feel… different?"
"Different?"
"Different."
Bucky stared at you for a moment, mind calculating and analyzing has he tried to decipher what you meant. In an instant it all clicked, and you didn't miss the way his lips curled into a quick smirk before his features soften. "Do things feel different when I call you my pretty girl?"
He watched as you immediately became flustered, averting your gaze and watching your chest rise and fall quicker. He thought he had sensed your heart rate quickening throughout the past couple of days, but he had honestly assumed it was anxiety from the mission. He had no reason to think it could be something else; Well, until now.
"(Y/N)," your name came as firm and demanding, causing you to look at him. The smirk on his face was more evident now, "We can continue this conversation now, or when we get home. But just remember, you're my favorite book to read."
You were instantly lost for words, mouth opening and closing as you processed what he just said to you. Waiting until you were home was going to be far too long, but talking about whatever this was now? Right now when you were flustered beyond belief, that flippant warm feeling filling every valley and curve of your body?
"Just say the word, doll, and I'll act like everything is normal. I'll go back to watching the movie and eating and ignoring the obivous."
A soft shake of your head was all you could muster as you search desperately for a will to stop the inevitable, or the courage to beg for it.
"Words, (Y/N). Use your words."
"I don't want normal." You swallowed, taking a shaky breath you continued, "I don't want this to go back to normal."
Buckys lips turned to a smile. "You don't want this to stop when we go home?"
You shook you head more feverishly, "No, I - Fuck, what have you done to me?" You groaned out.
"The same thing you've been doing to me for years, I suppose." His tone was matter-of-fact, cool and calm almost.
"What?" Your eyes had gone wide, mouth dry, and that God forsaken feeling low in your stomach was growing.
"You heard me. Obviously, we'll have some talking to do when we get home." He chuckled
Bucky moved as if he was going to grab the food, stopping once he heard, "No," come out of your mouth, "No. I want to talk about it now."
He looked back at you, eyebrows raising as to silently ask how.
"I want to…" You sighed, shaking your head in disbelief at yourself before leaning forward, cupping the back of his neck with your hand and pressing your lips to his.
This kiss was different; It was electricity filled, igniting every nerve in your body. You could feel the heat from your ears to your toes. It was intoxiting and addicting.
Bucky waisted no time in kissing you back, even letting out a small groan at your sudden assertiveness. His prosthetic hand held onto you waist, the other cupping your face as the two of you broke years worth of tension in one swift motion. Bucky pulled away first, taking in the plumpness of your kiss swollen lips, the sluttering of your lashes as your opened your eyes to look at him, and the darkness of your gaze that was stricken with last.
He looked just as enthralled, blue eyes dark as the night sky and hooded with desire, cheeks flushed slightly beneath his scruff. It finally clicked what the feeling you've been having all week was. Lust; pure, unadulterated lust for the man who was currently pretending to be your husband.
"Well damn, doll," he offered you a toothy grin, squeezing your waist, "Wasn't expecting that."
"Sorry-"
"Don't be." He bit his lip, studying your face for a moment, "Whatcha thinking, pretty girl?"
You couldn't help but get flustered, "That I want more. A lot fucking more." You hand moved up from his neck to card through his hair, his breath hitching some as you did. "Please, James, I need more." Your voice had a slight whine to it, something you hoped he wouldn't be able to resist.
"If I knew you sounded so pretty begging this would've happened years ago," he grumbled before kissing you again. This time though, he re-situated himself, helping you move to straddling him and doing his best to let you still have some semblance of control for now. His hands gripped your hips, keeping you from being able to move away from him.
One of your hands cupped his face, the other running down his clothed chest. You lips move in sink, a squeeze on your hips eliciting a small moan from you that he took advantage of, using your open mouth to slip his tongue in. You could feel the tent in his shorts growing, sitting hard against your core.
An experimental grind of your hips pulled a moan form the man beneath you; The sound was music to your ears, and enough encouragement to do it again.
Buckys hands moved, bracing you as he flipped you over to give himself more leverage and take control. Just as he begin to grind himself against you, he moved his lips from your to your neck. He kissed his way down to your pulse point, drinking in the sweet sounds you made. He sucked softly at the skin, moaned himself when you pulled at his hair.
Any rationale thought was gone at this point, any fears or anxieties you had pushed to the back of your mind as pure pleasure and desire took over the forefront of your thoughts. Once Bucky was sure he would be satisfied with the mark he left on you, he pulled back some to look you in the eye.
"Are you sure you want this?" He breathed out, offering you an out.
You nodded so quickly he couldn't help but laugh softly, "God, you look so fucking desperate, doll. You want me to fuck you?" He had a slight tease to his voice.
Another nod is all you could muster, but that wasn't good enough for him. "Uh uh, come on. Use your words. Need to hear you say it if you want me to do it."
You whined at his demand, pouting at him slightly, "Please."
"Please what?" His tone was more stern now, "If you want to continue, I need to know you actually want this."
His insistence to make sure you were consenting pulled at your heart strings. You nodded, "Yes, Bucky," you kept your voice soft before adding a slight whine and plea to it, "Please fuck me."
He smiled, kissing you much softer than had had before, "I'd do anything you asked me to." His words sounded like a promise that had you own emotions bubbling up.
Bucky leaned up for a moment, pulling off his shirt. He motioned for you to sit up and pulled yours off as well, groaning softly when he sat you skin. "Such a beautiful, pretty girl. Look at you," his hands ran up and down your sides and he took in your body before making eye contact with you again, "Most perfect thing I've ever seen, ya know that?"
He could feel your skin heat up at his comments, watching you squirm. "Take your shorts off, doll." Bucky moved off the bed, kneeling on the floor at the edge, "C'mere." He demanded.
You aren't going to deny him at this point, feeling yourself so tightly wrapped around his finger that you'd follow him into hell if it meant he kept talking to you like this. Once you were close enough, Bucky grabbed your thighs and pulled you to be perched on the edge on the bed, legs on his shoulders with his eyes level with your core.
"Look at this sweet little pussy," he squeezed your thighs tight, "You're fucking glistening, doll." He started pressing kisses to your thighs, avoiding the very apace you needed him at. "Smell fucking divine, I just know you're gonna taste even better."
Bucky watched as you already started fishing the sheets, squirming and biting you lip to hold back any noise. He already decided it was his job to make it impossible for you to hold back. Bucky moved his right hand to interlock with yours, taking his left arm and using it to put pressure on your waist, the cold feel of the prosthetic a stark contrast to the heat of your skin. Just as he squeezed your hand, Bucky licked a thick stripe from your core to your clit, genuinely moaning at the taste.
He wasted no time in drowning himself in your essence. Bucky licked and sucked, offering the occasional nibble, until you were grinding yourself in his face. Once soft gasps and moans were falling freely from you lips, he moved his left hand to your core, the cool digits of his forefinger and ringer figuring prodding your sopping hole. He wrapped his lips around your clit, sucking softly as he pushed two fingers in, relishing in the fact that your moans got loud.
Bucky pulled him mouth away, moving to you thighs and sucking hickies into the soft skin while his fingers worked magic. He already knew your body so well, years of working together on intimate missions allowed him to learn how to tell what you liked versus what you loved.
After leaving a few marks, he leaned his head against your thighs, looking up at you through his lashes and watching had your chest rose and fell and you head was thrown back in pure pleasure. "I was fucking right. Taste like honey, could drink you up all fucking day."
He licked a quick stripe again, from where his fingers were to the hilt inside you all the way to your clit. "So, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to continue eating your sweet little pussy until you cum all of face then I'm going to fuck you nice and deep so you feel my cock for days."
He chuckled when he felt your walls flutter around his fingers, "You like the sound of that, pretty girl?" He curled his fingers, hitting the spongy spot that had you gasping for air and eyes rolling into the back of your head. "Look, you're already so close to the edge. You better soak me, baby."
Bucky didn't fall short on his word, getting back to work on your clit with his mouth. His scruff added a nice sensation that bordered on pleasurable pain, fingers moving st the perfect pace and curving expertly, mouth switching between sucking and kitten licks. His right had squeezed your own hand, encouraging you to let go for him.
The pleasure was building quickly, it was intoxicating and inhibition destroying. You leaned up, using your free hand to grab hold of his hair and pull, giving you leverage to grind on his face. Bucky moaned against you, and truly giving you everything he was worth in his determination.
It didn't take much longer for you to fall over the edge, moaning loudly and body convulsing. Your legs squeezed his head as he continued to work you through your orgasm until you fell back, panting for breath.
Bucky pulled away, chuckling softly with a proud look in his face. From his nose down, he was absolutely glistening with your slick, "God you're fucking hot, using my face like that."
Bucky stood, pulling his shorts off, using them to wipe his face some, then tossing them to the side. "Can't wait to see your pretty face when I fill you up. Your gonna take me so good, aren't you?"
You nodded, already getting worked back up. You sat yourself up before he had the chance to grab you, leaning up and carding your hand through his hair again and guiding his lips to yours. You moaned at the taste of your own cum on his lips, reaching down to wrap your hand around his cock, jerking him slowly.
He pulled away from your lips, breathing in sharp. "Uh uh, doll, you can do that another time," he kissed your forehead, a sweet gesture that was a drastic difference to what was currently happening, "Right now, I wanna be buried inside you, making you cum all over me again. Cmon, lay back down for me."
You stole one more kiss before resuming your prior position. Bucky stood at the edge of the bed, pulling you back to the edge and holding your legs spread wide. "You can tell me to stop at any point," he said softly, "but unless you do that, I'm not stopping until you're thoroughly filled with me."
You nodded, offering a desperate, "Please, Bucky. Want all of you," and moving to hold your own legs up as the extra step to prove how much you wanted this.
"So fucking perfect," he groaned out. Bucky grabbed his length, teasing your slit a few times to get his thick tip left before finally pushing in. He was slow, listening to your gasp as he stretched you out so nicely.
Inch by inch, he pushed in until he was bent over you and all the way to the hilt, your lower bodies completely flushed. "You feel fucking amazing around me," he moaned out, kissing every inch of skin he could reach. Just as you were starting to whine, he pulled all the way out before slamming back in, causing you to moan out loudly when you felt him in the deepest parts of you.
Bucky set a brutal but rhythmic pace, changing it ever so slightly until he heard your moans and whines change to be deeper and louder. He moved one of your legs to his shoulder, which somehow allowed him to go even deeper, alternating between full thrusts and grinding against you.
He reached down between the two of you, rubbing circles in your clit with his thumb and watching as your whole body begin to shake with intense pleasure. "Look at you," he moaned out, "Better than my wildest dreams. You gonna cum again for me, already doll?"
He didn't need an answer at this point, he could tell from how your walls were squeezing him that you were close, and as much as he hated to admit it he wasn't far behind you. Bucky kept his movements consistent until he felt you fall over the edge again with a high pitch moan, his hips finally flattering as you squeezed him like a vice, quickly chasing his own high. A few erratic thrusts and he spilled into you with a moan of your name.
Bucky let your legs down, taking a few deep breaths before pulling out of you. He laughed lightly as you whined at the loss of him. He disappeared to the bathroom, cleaning himself up before bringing back a warm, damp wash cloth to wipe you down with. Bucky pressed softly kisses to yoh skin and he wiped you off, kissing your lips before tossing the cloth to the side and climbing into bed with you.
He helped you move back to laying normally in the bed, laughing once he noticed the credits of thie movie were rolling. He wrapped and arm around you, pulling you into his side and letting you get comfortable on him."How you feeling, doll?"
"Good, a little weird, but good." You said, voice drenched in exhaustion.
"Weird how?" He asked, rubbing his fingers up and down your back.
"Good weird. Happy things are gonna be different when we get home."
With how you were laying, you missed the way Bucky smiled down at you, "You don't understand how happy it makes me that I'll get to treat you like this all the time."
"Really?" You asked, already finding it hard to keep your eyes open.
"Doll, I've been yours since the moment I met you, someone was just too stubborn to notice her own feelings." He squeezed your side before going back to rubbing your back, "Get some sleep, we can talk in the morning."

Miguel was stuck in a different dimension because of Lyla. The prototype for the watch worked but she couldn't get him back. So he decided to find a Spiderman and that's when he met Y/n Spider girl.
He couldn't stop thinking about Y/n once he came back after being with her for a month and getting to know her. Miguel knew he had to find a way to confess his feelings to her, even though the odds seemed against him.
One day, as fate would have it, Miguel managed to track down a dimensional rift that led him to y/n universe. Determined to seize the opportunity, he mustered up all his courage and entered the portal.
Emerging in a world unfamiliar to him, Miguel found himself in the heart of the city where y/n patrolled. He awaited her arrival As soon as she appeared Miguel's heart skipped a beat.
"Y/n!" he called out, his voice filled with a mix of anticipation and hope.
Y/n paused mid-air, looking around to locate the source of the voice. Her gaze fell upon Miguel, and recognition flickered in her eyes. Descending gracefully, she landed in front of him.
"Miguel? What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice tinged with surprise.
Taking a deep breath, Miguel gathered his thoughts. "Y/n, I traveled across dimensions to be with you. The first time I saw you, I knew there was something special about you. Your strength, your bravery, and your unwavering commitment to justice... they've touched me in a way I can't describe."
Y/n studied him intently, her masked eyes revealing a mix of curiosity and confusion. "Miguel, this is unexpected. We come from different worlds, different realities. How can this be?"
Miguel's eyes met hers "I don't have all the answers, Y/n. But what I do know is the connection I feel towards you. I've fallen for you, and I can't ignore these emotions any longer. You inspire me to be a better person, to fight for what's right. I want to be by your side, no matter the challenges we may face."
y/n remained silent for a moment. "Miguel, this is a lot to take in. Our lives are intertwined with dangers. But I can't deny how I feel about you, even across dimensions. there's a reason our paths have crossed."
Hope surged through Miguel as he heard her words made him feel seen and understood. Y/n raised her hand to his cheek and kissed him on the lips knowing what she was doing was wrong but she didn't care.

Staring Down the Barrel of Your Gun
Bucky teaches you to shoot a gun when he realizes he won't always be there to protect you.
Warnings: all of my work is 18+ only, but language, references to gun usage and gun terminology, mentions of Bucky as the Winter Soldier, Bucky scaring the reader with his actions
A/N: This takes place during the events of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, specifically at Sarah's house in Louisiana. Also I don't know much about guns, so take the terminology as a work of fiction for the sake of the story
Tumblr media
"Buck, I'm starving. Can we please take a break?" You groaned, looking over to the porch, the door to Sarah's kitchen wide open so the scent of pancakes wafted through the open air. You had been up since sunrise with your boyfriend running gun handling drills under the cover of the trees behind the Wilson's house Your hands ached from palming the steel grip, your finger on and off the trigger at Bucky's command.
"Pay attention, doll. If you're in danger, you can't afford to lose focus. Now get in your stance." Bucky nodded at the target in front of you about 100 feet away, a blacked out silhouette that was tacked to a far tree, riddled with bullet holes from your previous shots. You wiped the sweat from your brow with the back of your hand. Even though it was barely April, the Louisiana humidity made it feel at least 20 degrees warmer, even in the early morning. You let the gun drop to your side as you shook out your sore arms.
"Never point your gun down to the ground like that." His sharp tone startled you into position. Bucky was barking orders and corrections at you, and it was starting to get on your nerves. You grumbled expletives at him, that his super hearing definitely picked up but chose to ignore for the sake of your training. You lifted your arms out in front of you, one hand layered on top of the other as you focused on your target. Stance, Lift, Target, Safety, Trigger. Bucky's words from your previous trainings echoed through your mind. He had drilled the commands into you with repetition.
"Your footings all wrong." You let out a sharp breath, holding your tongue from giving Bucky a piece of your mind as you removed your finger from the trigger. You felt his metal hand on your left hip, his leg forcing your left foot forward so you had a staggered stance. "Stand straight up and the recoil will knock you on your ass." He stood back, examining you like you were under a microscope. "Alright, go."
Again, you planted your footing, going through the motions in your mind.
Stance, Lift, Target, Safety, Trigger.
You felt a warm breeze hit your face, the wind whistling in your ears. You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath, holding it as you slowly opened your eyes, focusing in on your target. Finally, you allowed the breath to leave your lungs. You were about to pull the trigger when Bucky stopped you again. "Wrong."
"What, now?", you gritted out between clenched teeth. His hands were on your body again, this time at your elbows, pulling your arms back a toward you. "You'll break your arms if you stand rigid", Bucky whispered, his tone gravelly, "you need to be strong, not stiff". His breath against your ear sent a shiver down your spine. Bucky's hands were no stranger to the contours of your body, and usually you welcomed his touch, but out here he was rough with you in a way you didn't like, forcing you into certain positions when he felt like you weren't following his instructions.
"Now, do it again. Right this time." For the third time, you positioned your feet, Stance, lifted your arms out in front of you, Lift, to the height of your target, Target, closed your eyes and took in a sharp breath as you removed the safety, Safety, and placed your hand on the trigger prepared to pull, Trigger.
Bucky watched you intently as you stood frozen, your chest heaving with each breath. Bucky had been training you for days, and your target was proof that you weren't shy with a gun, but for some reason you couldn't pull the trigger.
"Shoot." You couldn't hear Bucky as he tried to grab your attention, the ringing in your ears drowning out all other sound.
"Shoot the gun." He was shouting against the silence, his patience wearing thin. "Shoot the damn gun, doll."
You blinked and Bucky was standing in front of you, the barrel of the gun pressed against his forehead.
"Bucky, what are you doing?" Your question was just above a whisper. You tried to move, but couldn't, as if you had lost control of your body. "I said shoot the gun." His tone was even, as if he was telling you about his day. He had a vacant stare as he looked through you, and for a second you thought you saw a glimpse of the monster buried just beneath the surface.
"Buck, I'm not going to shoot you." Your voice was shaky, but he was unmoving.
"Shoot the gun, now." He grabbed at the gun with his vibranium limb, holding it to the middle of his forehead. You saw the steel barrel buckle under his grip. Bucky didn't see you as his girlfriend, the love of his life, but as a soldier. A soldier who was disobeying his direct order.
Tears were brimming your eyes, blurring your vision. You felt the heat creep up your neck as your hands went numb from holding your arms up for so long. You weren't sure how you got here, starting the morning training with Bucky, to suddenly being forced to make an impossible decision in front of the Winter Soldier.
"No, Bucky." You dropped your arms, feeling the weight of the gun as you put the safety back on, letting it fall to the ground. He took a step toward you to pick the gun up, and you backed away instinctively, cowering away from him. Bucky's gaze softened as he realized that you were terrified, your hands shaking. "Baby, I-".
"Food's ready, if you two love birds can take a break from your tactical training." You heard Sam's booming voice as he bounded down the stairs of the back porch, quickly reaching the two of you with his wide stride. His smile quickly dropped when he noticed your tears, Bucky's facial expression stoic. He sensed the tension between the two of you, clearing his throat. "Everything okay out here?"
You wiped a stray tear from your cheek, giving him a weak smile. "I've lost my appetite." You quickly turned away, jogging back to the house, falling just out of Bucky's reach as he called out to you. "Doll, wait." He moved to follow after you when Sam stopped him, a hand to his chest.
"What did you do?" Bucky shrugged him off, pushing past Sam.
"Why was she crying?" Sam continued to push, right on Bucky's heels. "Better crying than dead."
Sam stepped in front of Bucky, shoving him hard at the shoulders. Bucky barely stumbled back, but he got the message, stopping in his tracks. "What did you do?" Sam repeated himself, his anger evident.
Bucky collided with Sam, puffing out his chest. "She hesitated. You hesitate, you die. You think for a second too long, you die. I told her to shoot me, and she hesitated." He couldn't make eye contact with Sam, looking just past him toward the house. He needed to make sure you were okay.
"You asked her to shoot you? What are you, psychotic?" Sam couldn't believe what he was hearing. Bucky had made so many strides to separate himself from the Soldat; the therapy, working to right his wrongs, and sometimes, the dark side of Bucky would seep out, and Sam wondered if it was all for naught.
"Maybe I am", Bucky edged out, finally looking Sam in the face.
"What are you doing, man?" Sam tried to appeal to Bucky's humanity, the side of him he knew was crazy about you. "You're gonna push her away if you keep doing this."
"Doing what? Trying to protect her? I'm not always going to be around, and-". Sam could see the life return to Bucky's eyes, a sadness washing over him.
"and what, Buck?" Sam continued to push.
"and I can't lose her." Bucky could usually push his feelings to the recesses of his mind, but he felt it all crumbling down around him, the weight crushing on his chest. "The gun drills, the tactical training, they're all so she can protect herself. I know I agreed to be a part of the Avengers, to give up my life to save others, but with all that we've lost, Sam, everyone we've lost, this world just continues to prove that it doesn't play fair. No matter what I do, how I try to protect her, none of it seems to matter. I can't and I will not lose her. So she cannot hesitate. She hesitates, she dies."
Sam sighed as he rested a hand on Bucky's shoulder. He knew that Bucky was right; being an Avenger meant nothing if they couldn't take care of the ones they loved. "Buck, I get it. I've got a sister and two nephews who are always on my mind. I hate the fact that we went from being on the top of the world, to realizing that no one gave a shit about us." He was standing on his convictions, trying to rescue his family's business and save his sister's house all at the same time.
"But there are enough monsters and villains in this world, she doesn't need you to be another one in her life. Fix this, Bucky. Don't lose her like this."
****
The house quieted as Bucky entered the kitchen. AJ and Cass whispered to each other as they pushed the last bites of their pancakes around their plate. Sarah watched Bucky out of the corner of her eye as he circled the room. "There's some food left over, probably cold by now" Sarah muttered as she sunk further into her seat at the dining table, taking a sip of her coffee.
Bucky chose to ignore their response to his spectacle, his focus on you. "Where's Y/N? I need to talk to her first."
Sarah nodded, rolling her eyes at Bucky. "Mhm, you sure do. She's upstairs."
Bucky took the stairs two at a time as he searched the house for you.
You had the parts of the Glock 19 Bucky had given you, organized out on the desk of the guest room you were staying in when Bucky found you down the hall. He stood at the doorway, watching as you cleaned every inch with a cloth, just as he had taught you. A small smile slipped on his face when he realized you had been paying attention.
"If you want me to shoot you, you'll have to wait", you called over your shoulder, not bothering to look at him. Bucky rubbed his jawline as he sat on the edge of the bed behind you.
"I know you don't agree with my methods of teaching-", Bucky started. "Your methods?", you scoffed, dropping the magazine on the desk, the metal clattering against the table. You turned to him, your anger brimming at the surface. "You're tryna justify that stunt you pulled as a teachable moment?" You felt your throat go dry at the memory of holding a gun to your boyfriend's head, momentarily holding his life in your hands.
"I need you to know how to protect yourself. There are people out there, terrible people, who would do anything to get to me, including hurting you." You turned back to the desk, gently placing your hands on your thighs. You closed your eyes again, taking a deep breath. "Doll, are you listening to me?" Bucky tried to grab your attention.
Choosing not to respond, you instead stood and grabbed the grip of your gun, briefly examining the piece before you made quick work of connecting each component to reassemble the gun, the metal clicking as each part connected. Bucky watched in awe as you moved with the precision that he had only seen from soldiers during his time in the military. You slipped the full magazine into the gun, slamming it in place before you pointed the assembled gun at the vintage dresser that Sarah had set up in the corner of the room, in perfect stance, your arms stretched out just enough to brace for the recoil.
"Is that trained enough for you, Sargent Barnes?" You smirked, your words dripping with sarcasm without an ounce of humor in your voice.
"Alright." Bucky snatched at the barrel, taking the gun from you, jogging you out of your trance. "You've made your point." He tucked the gun into the waistband of his jeans.
You dropped down onto the bed, looking up at Bucky, tears welling in your eyes again. He sat down next you, his arm brushing against yours. You felt him gently squeeze at your thigh, once again feeling the touch that you knew belonged to your Bucky, the Winter Soldier long gone.
"I knew what I was getting into, Buck. I knew who you were, what you had done, and all of the danger that came with being with you." You placed your hand atop his, rubbing your thumb over his knuckles. "and if that danger ever comes, you've prepared me to the best of your ability." Bucky cradled the side of your head in his hand, placing a kiss on your temple. You both sat in silence for a moment before you continued.
"But I could-, I would never be able to hold a gun to your head, let alone pull the trigger. If you think I ever could, you don't know me at all." You let out a shaky breath. "Buck, I was terrified. That wasn't you out there." Bucky's back straightened at your words. He retreated into himself, turning his gaze to the floor, trying to pull his hands into his lap, but you wouldn't let him. You placed a gentle hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at you. "Tell me the truth. Is the Winter Soldier gone for good?"
He wanted desperately to tell you yes, that the only part of him that remained was James Buchanan Barnes, the boy from Brooklyn, friend to Steve Rogers, the man you loved, someone who would never dare to hurt you, but that would be a lie.
"Yes, the Winter Soldier is gone, and he's never coming back."
You pulled Bucky in for a kiss by his chin, your lips barely grazing his before he had you in his grasp, his returning kiss passionate, as if he was apologizing in all the ways his words would fall short.
The Winter Soldier was still a part of him for now, but he'd do anything to protect you, even from himself.

You spaced out a little as you sat down in the train that would eventually take you to your stop. You were feeling incredibly tired in this moment after all of the work you’d had to complete during your shift today. All you wanted was to get home, eat dinner, take a shower, change into your pajamas then go to sleep. And while you were very tired, you still maintained your consciousness, not wanting to fall asleep around a bunch of strangers.
You were still aware of your surroundings and the stop announcements overhead but you were spaced out enough that at first you didn’t notice the gorgeous man who sat down next to you in the last free seat.
Bucky briefly looked at you as he sat down, noticing the spaced out look on your face and the earbuds in your ears. Which he could hear the sound of music by a more recent artist whom he had probably never heard of coming out of.
Moments later once you had seen this man in your peripheral vision, you allowed yourself to take a peak at him after you had blinked a few times, your curiosity getting the best of you for a second. And when your eyes did meet him, they widened a little bit. He was gorgeous, you had never seen someone as attractive as him.
And if you were being honest with yourself, you didn’t really think much of him taking the last empty seat that just so happened to be next to you. You were used to seeing the cars just filled with people this time of day.
So you put your attention back onto the window across from you, taking your eyes off of the man who was still sat to your left and looking at the scenery that passed the train instead. But you noticed the longer you two sat there, waiting for your stops, the more his eyelids had began to droop.
He fought sleep for a few minutes before letting his body finally rest. And when he did fall asleep, he stirred a little bit and began to rest his head on your shoulder, causing you to freeze up like a deer in headlights. You peaked over at him again, he was completely asleep now and probably didn’t fall asleep on you on purpose, this reassuring thought making your shoulders relax a bit.
And while you didn’t know this man, you decided that you would wake him up a few stops before your own, hoping that he wouldn’t be too far from his stop when you did wake him up. But you froze up again when he unknowingly snuggled into you in his unconscious state. Which caused you to make another decision.
When you did wake him up, you would only say that he fell asleep on you if it came up. You wouldn’t include the part where he began to cuddle with you, for his sake.
As you sat there with him, you couldn’t help but start to fall in love with this man. Even though you knew nothing about him, not even his name. You hoped you’d get the confidence to introduce yourself to him after you woke him up.
———————————
About ten minutes later, you were now three stops away from your stop and it was now the time for you to wake up the very attractive man sleeping on your shoulder. You hoped your interaction wouldn’t be too awkward once he did wake up.
First, you took you paused your music and took your headphones out. Then, you started to gently poke at his shoulder that was not pressed to you and you quietly spoke to him, “Excuse me.” you said a couple times as you kept poking his shoulder, causing him to abruptly wake up.
And as he woke up, his head still lingered on your shoulder for a few more seconds before he moved it. He then looked over at you again once he was fully conscious, “Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.” he said, a bit of an awkward tone to his voice as he looked at you.
You softly smiled at him and in that moment he felt as though he had been bewitched by you and your beauty. “It’s alright. Don’t worry about it.” you replied, that soft smile still on your face, making him feel a little at ease.
He awkwardly smiled back at you, still feeling bad for falling asleep on you. But you didn’t really mind whatsoever, accidents happen. You then stuck your hand out and spoke to him again, “I’m (y/n), by the way.” you told him, introducing yourself with a friendly tone to your voice. He smiled to himself at the sound of your name, liking the way it sounded in his head.
He took your hand in his and shook it for a few seconds before letting go. And while your hand was in his, you noticed that besides the pair of gloves he was wearing, his hands were a lot bigger than yours. Which caused butterflies to appear in your stomach because of that very thought.
He nodded, “I’m Bucky. It’s nice to meet you.” he replied once he had let go of your hand, trying to sound friendly as well like Sam had suggested. But he just ended up sounding awkward, making you smile at him again.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Bucky.” you said as you looked into his enchanting blue eyes, liking the way his name sounded when you said it.
And after hearing the most recent overhead stop announcement, he felt calm with the idea that he wouldn’t have to be awkwardly sat next to you, this beautiful stranger for much longer.
But when his stop was announced and he stood up from his seat, so did you. You awkwardly smiled at each other as the train came to a stop and you held onto the metal bar above your heads.
And before you went off to the exit closest to your apartment, you waved goodbye to Bucky, “Bye, Bucky.” you said while you sent another smile and wink his way, causing his cheeks to heat up a bit.
He silently waved back at you with a soft smile on his own face before turning back around. Under other circumstances, he would’ve liked to interact with you more. But given the awkward way you two met, he decided to keep the rest of your interaction short and sweet.
But he promised himself that if he ever did see you on the train again that he’d talk to you more, he’d start the conversation and hopefully at some point he would get the courage to ask for your number.
Why on earth would a super solider like him could get nervous over asking someone out? Bucky thought as he continued to walk towards his exit.
But the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. No one had taken romantic interest in him since the 40’s and he didn’t really know what to do about it. Especially when someone as beautiful as you was being so kind to him and treating him like he was a normal person. He liked that about you.
While you walked to your apartment, you thought of how Bucky looked at you like you were an actual person and not something for him to eat. He treated you with actual respect, even if he was a bit awkward. And though he was doing the bare minimum, you still liked that about him.
If you did end up seeing him again, maybe you’d actually give romance a chance this time around. And if Bucky was interested in you in that way, maybe he would be different compared to the men you’ve gone out with in the past. But for now, all you could do was hope that your love life would actually go the way you wanted it to.
———————————
The following morning when you got on the train again to head to work, you saw Bucky again, the sight of him making you smile. This time, he was sitting by himself with a book in his hands and the only free seat was next to him.
And before you went to sit down, you let yourself admire him for a few seconds. In the morning sunlight, his eyes looked like the most beautiful crystal you would ever see. Everything about this man bewitched you, in every sense of the word.
You then quickly walked over to the empty seat next to Bucky before anyone could claim it. And when you did sit down, Bucky looked up as he saw you coming in his peripheral vision and he had recognized the scent of your perfume. This time, he smiled at you and spoke to you first, causing a fluttery feeling to bloom in your chest.
“Hey. It’s nice to see you again.” he said to you, the dark timbre in his voice causing goosebumps to appear on your arms, making you feel glad that you were wearing a long sleeve shirt today.
“Hi, Bucky. It’s nice to see you again too.” you replied, instantly smiling back at the gorgeous man sitting next to you.
As for a majority of the ride, the two of you continued your conversion and got to know a little more about each other. Where you were from, how old you were, what you did for a living. And surprisingly when Bucky revealed what he did for a living, you weren’t too shocked as his face had seemed familiar to you and you had noticed how hard his left shoulder had felt when you had poked it the day before.
Bucky felt a bit relieved to know that you weren’t that shocked now that you knew exactly who he was, he didn’t want you to be afraid of him. But before Bucky knew it, he had just a few more minutes left until his stop. So he decided to be brave and ask you for your number, wanting to wait a little while longer until he asked you out on a date. He didn’t want to come off as creep after all, but you’d never see him in that way.
He then turned his body slightly so that it was facing yours, “Sorry if this comes off too strong, but I was wondering if I could possibly get your number? I know we still barely know each other, but I really like you, (y/n) and I’d like to get to know you better if that’s okay with you?” he asked you as he raised his eyebrows in anticipation.
You smiled at him as he nervously asked you this. To see a man as attractive and powerful as him act nervous was cute to you. It showed that he wasn’t above everyone like the news portrayed him to be.
You nodded with a smile, “Sure, Bucky. I really like you too.” you answered, your own nervousness popping up as you spoke to him.
“Okay cool.” he quickly said as he pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocked it, opened the contacts app and handed his phone to you.
You slowly took his phone from him, not wanting to risk dropping it and as you did, your hands brushed up against each other. And while it may have been 7am, this simple touch made you feel as if your whole body was on fire and your hands shook a little, showing Bucky the affect he had on you.
He subtly smirked at you as you created a new contact on your phone and typed in your number as well as your name before hitting save. And once you had given his phone back to him, he spoke again, “I’ll text you so that you have my number.” he told you.
He typed out the words “Hey, it’s Bucky!” and added a smiley emoji at the end then hit send. Seconds later you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket and you took it out, “Got it!” you made him known once you had turned your phone on and looked at your lock screen.
Then the moment he had been dreading all morning happened, his stop was announced and he would have to leave you and go to work. He dreaded this as he’d much rather talk to you all day then argue with Sam or awkwardly talk to Tony.
“Well, this is my stop.” he said to you as he stood up, prompting you to softly frown at him. You then looked up into his eyes from your seat, “Bye, handsome. I’ll text you, okay?” you replied, causing his cheeks to heat up again at the sound of the new nickname you had for him.
“Alright, doll. I’ll see you later.” he said with a wink before he exited the train, using this as his chance to make you feel all flustered. Which worked in his favor now that he knew about the affect he had on you.
And as you sadly watched him leave, you couldn’t help but think about what you two could become now that you were officially in each others lives.
And again you hoped that this would go the way you wanted it to. You wanted to have Bucky in your life in anyway that you could, even if you just ended up being friends. Even that would be enough for you. But you hoped more than anything that you and Bucky would eventually become lovers.
Before you got off at your own stop, you took a quick selfie and sent it to him. Following with the word “Hi!” and a smiley emoticon, the nervousness of a man like him actually being interested in you like this coursing through your body.
But you knew that you’d get over this nervousness eventually. At least, that’s what you were aiming for.
———————————
You and Bucky had sent a few texts to each other throughout the day, not wanting to bother the other person too much while you were working. But you both noticed as you worked, that you couldn’t wait to go home so that could possibly see each other on the train that evening.
But when Bucky got on the train that evening at 5:30pm which was a little after the time it was when you two first met the day before, you weren’t there. He waited a few stops and you still hadn’t shown up. So he texted you just to make sure that everything was alright.
Bucky: Is everything alright? You aren’t on the train ride home tonight.
You responded to his text a few minutes later, those butterflies reappearing in your stomach at the thought of him being worried about you. No guy you had been with in the past had actually cared enough about you to send this kind of text.
Y/N: I’m alright, don’t worry. I got caught up in some extra paperwork so my boss ordered an Uber to take me home. :)
Reading these words made Bucky let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding. He was relieved to know that everything was alright and you had just stayed late at work.
After being in his line of work for as long as he has, he easily worried about the people he cared about. Which was a small number, but still it would destroy him if you got hurt and he wasn’t there to protect you.
Bucky: Good, just wanted to make sure you were okay. Call me when you get home? 😊
Y/N: Of course, I’d miss talking you to you if I didn’t. I’m in the Uber now, I’ll talk to you soon. ❤️
Now, Bucky could really let himself relax on the way home. Which luckily was only a few minutes away now. And the second he did arrive at his stop, he quickly walked back to his apartment, not wanting to risk missing your call in the event that you got somehow got home before he did.
———————————
Once you got home twenty minutes after Bucky had initially gotten off of the train, you set your bag down by the door and took your shoes off before heading to sit on your couch.
And while you hadn’t known Bucky for long, you already missed his face. So as you got settled on your couch, you decided to FaceTime him instead, hoping that his friend Sam that he had mentioned had taught him how to use the app.
You wanted to feel closer to him even when you were both at home and tired from the day of work you’d had. You tapped on the camera icon next to his contact name and after a few rings, he answered, displaying that handsome face you had missed all day.
His phone moved around a little as he started to talk to you, “Doll? Can you see me?” he asked, making you laugh. Which was like the most beautiful symphony he had ever heard, he could truly listen to your voice and your laugh forever.
You continued to laugh as you answered his questions, “Yes, I can see you, Bucky.” you answered, just a smile lingering on your face now.
He laughed a little at himself, “Sorry, I’ve never used this app before.” he told you as he admired your beauty through his phone screen. You smiled at that, “That’s alright, don’t worry about it. You’ll get used to using it eventually.” you assured him as you stared right back at him.
For the rest of the call, you talked to each other about how your days had been. Bucky had talked about how he’d have to leave to go on a mission next Saturday but he’d try to get better with the whole FaceTime thing so that he could still talk to you and see your beautiful face. At least that’s how he put it, his compliment making you blush.
And you had complained to him about how you’d been tasked with dealing more paperwork. Bucky had assured you that you’d probably get a promotion after all of that hard work and he jokingly said that he would have a talk with your boss if you didn’t, making you laugh again.
The two of you FaceTimed for a little while longer while you made dinner for yourself in your own apartments and later ate together. But once you had both finished eating, you knew that it was time to end the call for the night.
You looked back at him on your phone screen and smiled, “Anyway, I gotta go shower and get ready for bed. But I’ll text you, Bucky.” you told him as you leaned on the doorframe to your bedroom.
You chuckled a little at the grumpy look that had appeared on his face when you told him you had to go. He liked talking to you this way, he liked talking to you in general. But he’d let you go for now, one question still weighing heavy on his mind.
“Alright but before you go, there’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you.” he made known to you, making your eyebrows start to raise in anticipation like his had when he asked you for your number that morning.
“What is it, Bucky?” you asked him, feeling a bit impatient now that you knew that he had something he wanted to ask you.
“Well this isn’t how I’d prefer to do this but I’d rather not wait until Monday to see you again, I was wondering if you’d like to go out on a date with me tomorrow night?” he asked, making those pesky butterflies appear in your stomach yet again.
You nodded in response right away, “I’d love to, Bucky. I’ll text you my address later.” you answered, a cute smile of his own appearing on his face as you spoke.
Then after you said your drawn out goodbyes and hung up, you set your phone down on your bedside table and walked to your bathroom to take that shower you had mentioned to Bucky just minutes ago.
———————————
Upon re-entering your room after you had taken a shower, done your skincare routine and changed into your pajamas, you plopped yourself onto your bed and grabbed your phone from your bedside table.
You opened you and Bucky’s conversation again and sent him your address. He replied to your message almost right away with a selfie, which was very unlike him. He looked good, really good. In the photo, he was laying down on his bed looking at the camera with a subtle smirk on his lips.
And in this moment all you wanted to do was kiss him, but knew it was a little soon to be going after stuff like that with him. After all, you had only known each other for two days at this point. So you held yourself back a bit, at least for now.
Y/N: So handsome. 😮‍💨
He blushed at your message once he read it and in return you sent him a selfie of your own. Similar to him, your were laying in your bed and looking at the camera like he had been. But what you didn’t know is that seeing this photo of you, made Bucky feel as if his body had been set on fire, he felt like he was falling harder for you than he had been before. And your texts and FaceTime call only solidified this.
The more he looked at that photo of you, the more he felt like he could imagine what you would look like in his space or what you would look like when he finally kisses you for the first time. He hadn’t felt this way in years and now that he had you, he never wanted to let you go. He didn’t want anyone else. He just wanted you.
Bucky: Gorgeous, gorgeous girl.
What Bucky had sent back had made you feel all flustered for what felt like the millionth time since you two met. But you knew that it would probably be a good idea to go to bed now before you got ahead of yourself. You didn’t think it was the right moment to start sending Bucky the suggestive messages that you wanted to send when you hadn’t even kissed yet.
Y/N: Thank youuu.
Y/N: I’ll talk to you in the morning, Bucky. Goodnight ❤️
His next message made you smile, happy to see that the reserved man you had met on the train two days ago was starting to get more comfortable when talking to you.
Bucky: I can’t wait to see you tomorrow. Sweet dreams, doll. ❤️
His new nickname for you made you feel as if you were bursting at the seems with the feelings you had for him. But before you thought about what he had called you too much and kept yourself up all night, you plugged your phone in, turned the lights in your room off, put your phone down and went to sleep.
That night you dreamed of Bucky and what your first date tomorrow night could hold. And when you awoke the next morning, you hoped that your date would would be as magical as that dream. But as long as you were with Bucky, you already knew it would be.
———————————
It was now 5pm on Saturday evening, the day of your date and Bucky had texted you that morning to tell you that he’d pick you up at 6pm. So before you ran out of too much time, you got out of bed and began to get ready for your first date with the handsome man.
You first did the makeup look that you thought suited your features the best and made you look beautiful, except for any lipstick as you hadn’t brushed your teeth yet. Then you retrieved a classy black dress from your closet that you’d had for a little while and put it on, quickly reaching behind yourself to zip it up.
And once it was comfortably situated on your body, you went over to your bathroom and started to style your hair. After playing around with possible hairstyles for a few minutes, you decided to go with just leaving all of your hair down once you had combed/brushed it out again.
And while you brushed your teeth, you slid your heels on, feeling extremely excited for the night ahead with Bucky. No one had ever made you feel the way Bucky did and you took that as a good sign that things between the two of you would work out. You were truly a fool for him and even though you had only known him for 3 days, you already felt like you were falling in love with him.
Bucky also thought about the love he already had for you as he got ready for tonight in his own apartment. He had put on a black on black suit that he hadn’t worn since Tony’s last gala a few months ago. He’d gotten a lot of compliments on it when he had worn it to that particular gala and he wanted to see what you thought when you saw him in it. He wanted to look good for you.
Right after he finished getting dressed, he went over to his bathroom and did his hair how he normally did it. His hair was a lot shorter than it used to be and he didn’t really have much to do with it now.
And as you had done, he then brushed his teeth and slipped his dress shoes on. Then sprayed some cologne on himself, grabbed his phone and headed out the door.
And while you were applying the finishing touches to your lipstick after you had sprayed some perfume onto yourself, someone knocked on your front door, signaling to you that Bucky was now here. So you grabbed your purse — with your phone in it — and quickly walked over to your front door.
When you opened the door — your purse hanging from your shoulder — Bucky’s jaw dropped in shock. He had never seen someone so beautiful, so ethereal, he never wanted to look away from you. He’d stare at you for years and years if he could.
“Hey.” you said to him, a soft smile on your lips after you did some admiring of your own. He looked incredible, so handsome and regal as he stood just outside your apartment with a bouquet of flowers in hand.
He took a deep breath, “Wow, Doll, look at you. You’re so beautiful.” he replied, his sweet compliments making you blush and shyly smile at him. He spoke up again a moment later, “Oh, these are for you by the way.” he said as he handed the flowers to you.
You grinned at him, “Thank you, Bucky. These are beautiful.” you said, unknowingly prompting him to compliment you again as you went to put them in your kitchen. “Not as beautiful as you, doll.” he said as you rejoined him at the doorway, then grabbing one of your hands and pressing a soft kiss to the back of it, making goosebumps appear on your arms.
“You ready to go?” you asked him as you began to wrap your hand around the part of your doorknob that faced the hallway. He nodded right away and briefly placed his hands in his pockets, “I’m ready when you are, sweet girl.” he replied, adding another nickname that made you smile at him again.
You then closed your front door behind you and locked it, “Alright then, let’s go.” you told him, gently taking his right hand in yours, giving it a gentle squeeze as a way of reassuring him about his metal arm. You did this because Bucky had gone without his usual black gloves tonight and you wanted him to know that you weren’t afraid of him or his arm.
He squeezed your hand back and led you down the hallway to the elevator he had taken up to the floor your apartment is on, silently telling you that he knew you weren’t afraid of him.
He stayed close to you the whole time you walked to his car, making you question why he rode the subway everyday if he had a car until you got inside and you saw the Stark logo on the big screen in the car. You assumed that he had borrowed it from Tony for tonight, which only made your heart swell with love. He just wanted this night to be perfect for the two of you.
———————————
After a short 15 minute drive, Bucky parked the car outside of a fancy looking restaurant. And once the car had been turned off, Bucky got out of the car, ran around to your side to open your door and help you get out.
The two of you held hands as you walked into the restaurant and up to the hostess’ podium. “James Barnes, table for two.” he simply said, prompting the hostess who had been standing there to check their reservation book for his name.
“Ah, Mr. Barnes. Right this way.” she said, motioning for the two of you to follow her to your table.
Your table was in a more quiet part of the restaurant, away from the loud groups of people that had come in that evening. Bucky held your hand the whole way there, even as the hostess set your menu’s down on the table.
“Your waiter will be with you soon. Enjoy!” she said with a friendly smile before walking back to the hostess’ podium in the front of the restaurant.
And before you could pull out your own chair and sit down, Bucky had appeared behind you and pulled your chair out for you. Then he slowly pushed it in until you were sat down after you had stood in front of it. Seconds later, he took his own seat across from you, the small light from the fake candle on the table bouncing off of his eyes as he looked at you.
“So, James.” you teasingly said as looked at him over your menu, a light smirk on your lips. He chuckled a little at your theatrics, “My name is actually James, but most people call me Bucky.” he explained, resulting in you nodding in response.
Just seven minutes later, your waiter for the night appeared and introduced themself before asking if you were ready to order. Which you were and once they had disappeared with your menus, Bucky reached over the table and took your hand in his as you two began to get to know each other better.
You told each other everything about yourselves, not feeling the need to hide anything from each other. Only briefly going silent when your waiter came back with your food or one of you took a bite of the meal you had ordered. And the more either of you talked, the more you both felt like you had known each other for years.
———————————
Two hours later, after your meals had been finished long ago and the two of you had just finished the desert you decided to share, Bucky had paid the bill and it was unfortunately time to leave. You didn’t want this date to ever end, you wanted to stay with Bucky forever.
He didn’t want to leave you either. Since Steve left him and went back to the past, Bucky really hadn’t felt understood or seen or liked but then you waltzed into his life and showed him what it was like to feel all of those things again. He never wanted to let go of you for as long as he lived.
After another short fifteen minute car ride, you two were back at your apartment building. And like he had done when you got to the restaurant, Bucky helped you get out of the car once more and he held his hand in yours while he took you back up to your apartment.
And when you did reach your apartment, you faced your front door for a moment then turned around to face Bucky agaun. “I don’t want you to leave.” you admitted with a groan, a sad look on your face as you looked at him.
He used your hand that was still in his to gently pull you closer to him. He placed his hands on your face and tipped your head up so that your eyes met his. “I know, I don’t want to leave you either, doll. But I promise that’s I’ll try to get good at the whole FaceTime thing so you don’t miss me too much.” he replied as he continued to hold your face in his hands.
You chuckled at that, “Okay.” you quietly said to him and placed your hands over his own, your thumbs stroking the backs of his hands.
Bucky’s eyes then went from your eyes down to your lips up to your eyes and back to your lips again. Feeling a bit impatient, you simply said, “Kiss me, Bucky. Please.” And before you could possibly do anything else, Bucky leaned down and pressed his lips to yours.
The moment his lips left yours, you felt the urge to chase them again and again. You couldn’t get over how good his lips felt against your own. But again, you didn’t want to get ahead of yourself this early into knowing him. So you pulled away from his lips again and settled on giving him one more kiss on his cheek instead, leaving a kiss print there because of your lipstick.
Bucky smiled at the feeling of your lips on his cheek and gave you one last kiss of his own tonight, this time on your forehead as he started to hold your hand again. “Goodnight, doll.” he said as started to walk away from you, not letting go of your hand until he was too far away to reach you.
“Goodnight, Bucky.” you replied, blowing him a kiss as he got closer and closer to the elevator. He caught the kiss and put it in his pocket, making that smile of yours that he loved so much reappear on your face.
At this point, you felt so lovesick whenever you saw or thought of him. You didn’t how much longer you could hold yourself back. All you wanted was him. He was all that you could have ever wanted and more.
———————————
Not long after Bucky had dropped you off, you had started to take your makeup off and while you were doing so, you heard your phone receive a text from Bucky. But you’d look at it later once you had gotten all of your makeup off and you were in your pajamas.
Once you had finished wiping all of your makeup off, you put some moisturizer on your finger tips and began to gently massage it into the skin on your face. You massaged any remaining product onto your neck and arms afterwards. You then slipped your dress off and threw it into your nearby laundry bin, discarding it a pair of shorts and a baggy t shirt instead.
Then you got under the covers on your bed and grabbed your phone again. Bucky had sent you a selfie he had taken in the car before he left. In the photo, the right side of his face was pointed towards the camera — the kiss print you had left there on display — and a grumpy look on his face.
You smiled at how cute he looked in the photo and hearted the message. Everything this man did made your stomach flip and you never wanted to let go of him or that feeling.
Y/N: Aww, that shade looks so good on you.
Your response made a smile of his own appear on his face as he read the way you teased him through a text. He was so in love with you already but he knew better than to tell you this now.
Bucky: Thanks, doll. 🙄
You admired the way he seemed to match your energy in this moment, not making anything awkward by any means. You liked the way he teased you back.
———————————
For the next six days until Bucky would have to leave for his mission, you spent as much time as possible together every single day whenever you had any free time.
You went out to lunch together multiple times, Bucky hung out at your place a couple times after work and you did the same at his place on a couple other days, you cuddled, kissed more, watched movies together.
But now it was Friday night and Bucky would have to leave for his mission in the morning. So, you decided to give him a special surprise tonight.
On the train ride home that evening, you told Bucky to come over to your place at 7pm because you had a surprise for him. That surprise being a black lacy lingerie set that you were currently hiding under a robe. You couldn’t wait to see the look on his face when you took the robe off.
And at 7pm like you had requested, Bucky showed up at your apartment, nervousness coursing through his system as he knocked on your front door a few times.
You opened the door moments later and leaned against the doorframe as you greeted him, “Hey.” you said, a smirk on your face.
You hadn’t even taken the robe off yet and Bucky’s jaw had already dropped. He was just so in awe of your beauty, even as you took his hand in yours and led the way to your bedroom, the lights throughout your home now on a dimmer setting.
When you reached your bedroom, he noticed that there were a few small fake candles sitting on both of your bedside tables and a speaker on your dresser that was quietly playing mood music. You then swapped places with him so that you were standing closer to the door instead and you placed a hand on his chest, gently pushing him back towards your bed.
“Lay down for me, Bucky.” you requested and he obeyed right away, eager to see what you were hiding under that robe.
You then closed your bedroom door behind you and started to untie the loose knot at your waist. And once the knot had been undone, you slowly slid the robe down your body until it hit the hardwood floor below you.
You looked so beautiful to Bucky in this moment, the lingerie set you were wearing hugged your curves in all the right ways and made you look perfect, like a dream come true. “Oh, doll. Come here.” he requested with a groan after he had swallowed thickly. And like he had, you obeyed this request right away.
You seductively walked over to him and started to straddle his lap, causing Bucky to sit up and place his hands on your hips before he then started to softly rub your sides with his large hands. You let out a soft moan as his hands went down to your ass and gave it a firm squeeze.
He placed his nose in the crook of your neck and inhaled, “You’re so beautiful, doll. I could just eat you.” he said as he pressed a passionate kiss to your lips.
His lips then trailed down from your lips to your jaw, to your neck, to your collarbone and over to your shoulder where he slid a finger under one of the straps, letting it snap against your skin.
You were already so wet for him and he had barely touched you. And going off of the way he felt under you whenever you moved your hips, he was already rock hard in his pants even though you had barely touched him.
“So what are you waiting for?” you asked him, awakening something feral in him as his pupils became even bigger.
———————————
Later that night after you and Bucky had both came multiple times, he began to take care of you. He first gently parted from you and got up from your bed, despite your whining and begging for him to stay in bed with you.
He put his boxers back on and went to your bathroom to retrieve a washcloth that he could wet with warm water in your sink.
Once rejoining you in your bedroom, he kneeled in front of you on your bed and gently parted your legs. Then as gently as he possibly could, he wiped you in between your legs, not wanting to make you feel overstimulated.
He left you for one more quick moment to hang the cloth up in your bathroom, mentally reminding himself to put it in to your laundry bin the next morning.
This time when he rejoined you in your bedroom, he slowly put your tired body under the covers and got under them as well. He pulled your body close to his, letting you rest your head and one of your hands on his chest while you put one of your legs over both of his and you let your sleepiness take over.
And once you were comfortable, he too got comfortable. And that night you fell asleep, safe in his arms, never feeling as safe or loved as you did when he held you.
———————————
The next morning, at 6am Bucky slowly slipped you out of his arms and headed back to his apartment to grab the bag he would need before he left for his mission. But before he left you, he got dressed, pressed a kiss to your forehead, left a note behind on the bedside table closest to you and of course put the washcloth he had used last night in your laundry bin.
And now that Bucky actually had someone to come home to, he promised himself that he would do everything in his power to be safe and come back to you, alive and in one piece.
You woke up not long after Bucky left as if you could detect his absence, your bed felt cold without him in it. But before you got too sad, you spotted the note he had left for you. It read:
(y/n),
I’m sorry I had to leave so soon, I needed to grab my go bag from my apartment before I left for that mission I told you about. I’ll see you soon, doll. I promise.
- Bucky
This note eased some of your worries. But you had to admit, you did still feel a bit worried for Bucky now that he was off on that mission.
What if he got seriously injured? What would you do if never came back to you? You didn’t have answers to either of those questions because you had already become too attached to Bucky to even think of what your life would be like without him in it.
———————————
A few days later after you had gotten home from work, you had gotten a call from a number you didn’t recognize so you let it go to voicemail. The voicemail the person attempting to contact you left appeared on your phone just a minute later.
And as you listened to it, your breath and hands became shaky, you started to tear up and anxiety coursed its way through your body. This couldn’t be happening, your worst nightmare had become reality.
The person who had left the voicemail said, “Hey, this is Sam, Bucky’s friend. Listen, we had to come home early because Bucky got stabbed, it was pretty bad. But he’s going to be fine, Dr. Banner was able to stop the bleeding and is stitching him right now in his apartment. I know you probably weren’t expecting this but Bucky insisted that I pick you up and take you to his apartment, you’re the only person he wants to see right now. I’ll meet you at the entrance to your building in 10.” Sam told you in his voicemail.
You were relieved to know that he was going to be okay but it still broke your heart to hear that Bucky had gotten hurt badly. You wished you could put a protective bubble around him so that he could never get hurt again. But you knew that injuries like this were part of his job and he probably wouldn’t want you to be worrying about him so much.
But there was no time to waste crying in your apartment, so you put a pair of sneakers on, grabbed your apartment keys and your phone and headed out the door to meet Sam downstairs. When you got into Sam’s car, he frowned at the look on your face. He felt bad that hearing what had happened to Bucky had made you feel so distraught.
As he started up his car again, he turned to you, “Hey, he’s going to be okay. Bucky’s been through much worse in the past and plus he’s got that super soldier serum in his veins to make him heal faster than either of us ever could.” Sam assured you, his joke about the super soldier serum making you chuckle a little.

Upon arriving at Bucky’s apartment building, Sam led the way up to Bucky’s apartment. He unlocked the door for you and let you in. But before he left, he said one more thing to you, “If either of you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me. Okay?” he said, his eyebrows raising a little bit.
You nodded and briefly tapped his shoulder twice with your hand, “I will. Thanks, Sam.” you replied, a soft smile on your face. He nodded back at you in response and you headed into Bucky’s apartment, closing and locking the door behind you.
You walked into what you assumed was his bedroom because it was the only room with any light in it. You slowly approached his bedside, Bucky was asleep and that Dr. Banner guy Sam had mentioned was gone so you assumed that everything was okay now.
You frowned as you looked down at him but you couldn’t bear to be apart from him any longer so you slipped your shoes off, turned the lamp next to him off and got under the covers with Bucky. Underneath the blanket, his shirt had rode up a little, revealing to you the stitches in the moonlight coming in through his curtains. Which caused your hands to get shaky again, but you assured yourself that he would be okay.
You didn’t want to wake him up after all him and his body had just gone through on that mission. So you just placed a light kiss on his cheek and went to sleep next to him.
———————————
The following morning, Bucky woke you up after he had turned over and saw you sleeping in his bed. He softly stroked your cheek with his thumb while he quietly spoke your name, “(y/n).” he said, repeating your name a few more times until you woke up.
And when you did, you sat up in his bed right away, taking his face in your hands and pressing a bruising kiss to his lips. “I’m so glad you’re okay. How are you feeling?” you asked him, a somewhat frantic tone to your voice.
He calmed you by slowly removing your hands from his face, placing his hands on your face instead and moving your head down a little so that you were looking directly into his eyes. “I’m alright, doll. You don’t have to worry about me.” he answered with a soft smile, causing you to let out a deep breath.
And as you spoke again, he started to stroke one of your cheeks with his thumb, “I just got so worried that I’d loose you, Bucky. I’m glad that you came back to me.” you explained, giving Bucky the need to slowly pull you into lap, still being careful with his stitches.
He smiled a little at the last sentence of your statement, “Me too. But you’ll never loose me, (y/n). I’ll always come back to you, as long as you’ll have me.” he assured you, his hand gently rubbing your back as you loosely wrapped your arms around his neck.
“I’ll always want you around, Bucky. You’re not getting rid of me that easily.” you made known to him as your arms tightened around him and you started to hug him, Bucky’s rubbing on your back never stopping as you spoke to him and he eventually hugged you back.
He laughed at your theatrics, causing you to laugh with him. You then removed your head from where it was tucked next to his when you were hugging him and you looked into his eyes again, “I know we still haven’t known each other for that long. But after what happened to you, I can’t go on without saying this to you, even if you don’t say it back. I love you so, so much, Bucky. I need you to know that.” you confidently told him, mentally hoping that he would say it back and you hadn’t just made yourself look stupid.
Tears started to prick Bucky’s eyes when you said those special words to him. He then wrapped his arms around your ribs and pulled you even closer to him. “And I love you, doll. I have since the day we met, I swear.” he made known, making you tear up as well.
You then pressed another kiss to his lips before resting your forehead against his own, “Be my girl, (y/n). Please.” he begged, desperately wanting to call you his and have you call him yours.
“I already am.” you told him with another kiss to his cheek, prompting Bucky’s arms to reclaim their spot around your waist and pull you on top of him, making you yelp.
“Bucky!” you scolded, nervous that all of this movement would rip his stitches open. He chuckled at this nervousness, knowing that he was probably almost entirely healed because of the serum.
“I’m alright. You don’t need to worry about my stitches, sweetheart.” Bucky said, comforting you and making your worries disappear once more. “Okay, whatever you say.” you replied, dragging out that last word, causing Bucky to let out another laugh.
God, he was so in love with you.

One of your favourite ways to end the day is on the couch with a glass in hand, curled up, reading a good book. It was something you did most nights, tonight being no exception.
Your music softly played over the hustle of Hell's Kitchen, lyrics and beats drowning out the background noise of the city around you. The honks from cars and shouts from pedestrians seamlessly mesh together, blurring behind the closed-off, cosy environment you created for yourself.
It was late. Matt was out on his nightly patrols, fighting crime as he did almost every day - protecting his city in ways only he can. And while you waited for his return home, you immersed yourself in your book, following the words, letting yourself become hooked on the story.
You hear the metal of the fire escape door creek, and your eyes immediately follow the sound, the silhouette of a man dressed in black appearing in the gap - your man dressed in black appearing in the gap.
You clutch over your chest, the action an attempt to calm its wild thumping. "God-- don't do that," you mutter, eyes following him.
"Sorry, sweetheart," he grins, the expression cocky and amused. "Bit late to be up, hm?" he says, slowly walking down the stairs, loosening his muay thai ropes.
You place your marker in your book and close it with a thumb. "Mhm-hm," you hum playfully. "It is. Very."
"What can I say? Busy night," he chuckles, dropping his fabric mask onto the coffee table before resuming the untangling of his robes.
Matt slumps onto the sofa beside you, throwing his head against the back, a soft groan slipping past his lips as he adjusts - getting more comfortable. His hand mindlessly slides up your leg, resting over your thigh as he gives himself a moment to settle back into your calming presence.
Copying him, you adjust, snuggling into his side and resting your head on his shoulder. "Did you get hurt?"
He removes the hand placed over your thigh and drapes it over your shoulder, pulling you into him. "No," he lazily smiles, his hand reaching down - fingers grazing at your side, the action almost teasing.
"Good," you say shortly, tone sweet and pleased. You twist your head in towards him, placing a kiss on his cheek. "I'm glad."
Instead of pulling away, you linger there momentarily, lips brushing against his stubble before you trail a slow line of kisses along his jaw and towards his mouth - turning his face around with a palm on the opposite side of his head.
Without breaking the kiss, Matt manoeuvres you, taking your subtle hinting into initiative by adjusting you both - pushing and laying you flat so he can slot his lower half between yours, hovering above. His weight anchored on his hands either side of you.
You bend at the knee, holding it at his side to feel him just that bit closer - feeling him grow hard against you, cock prodding at the sweet spot between your thighs. Teasing him, you roll your hips up into him, wanting to feel the friction you so desperately needed.
You place your hands either side of his face, palms cupping his jaw as you melt into the makeout, deepening it - accepting his tongue willingly. Lips caressing one another's urgently, needy noises muffled between.
He balances his weight on one arm, slipping his other between you and down the front of your pyjama shorts, fingers leisurely toying at your pussy. Teasing and playing with your folds as he kisses along your jaw, middle finger circling your entrance - the light, delicate touch making you almost shudder against him.
He brushes his finger over your hole, his pad outlining it before easing it in, sliding in up to the last knuckle. Working you open with his hooked, thick finger, slowly pumping into you as he continues the trail of kisses along the side of your throat.
Matt drags his finger from the warmth and sits up on his knees between your spread legs, one hand snaking into the waistband of his pants, the other sliding up your stomach - groping one of your tits. He tugs on his pants, pulling the fabric over his hips, just enough space for his now exposed cock to poke through.
You shimmy yourself out of your shorts and underwear, laying under him with a bare cunt on display, the soft sheen of slick going visibly unappreciated.
His fingers wrap around the base of his cock, giving himself a few short strokes as he guides his head towards you - pushing his tip through the slick of your folds, coating his cock in your wetness before sinking into you.
You take him at your own pace, walls fluttering and loosening around his shaft as he eases more of himself into you - your pussy swallowing little bits of him at a time. Your hand paws at his wrist placed on your waist, fingers enveloping around the thickness, silently pleading and begging him to get closer. Now lingering his chest above yours.
His lips skim over your jaw, trailing even more kisses down the side of your throat, giving you easing, reassuring pecks as he slips more of his cock into you - distracting you from the dull ache between your thighs.
You bend at the knee, holding it at his side - the new angle opening your hips wider, allowing that last bit of his cock to slide in, head hitting at the hilt. You keep him snug to you, arms lazily wrapped around his neck, your other leg entangling with his as your lips shadow each other.
His strokes remain steady, winding his hips into you, consuming you from the inside out. "Sounding so pretty, angel," he murmurs into your mouth, his voice hoarse from the way you wrap yourself around his cock.
Matt quickens the pace. That tightening sensation building within you both - that tensing feeling growing and growing. He fucks into you a little better. More forcefully, more deliberately. The perfect curve of his cock grazing against your gummy ridges in the most sinful and delicious of ways.
He chases your release, wanting to feel you shudder and tighten around him - wanting to feel you cum on his cock. So, he parts from your lips and trails messy open kisses over your cheek, halting when he reaches under your ear.
"You feel so perfect wrapped around me—  you're so perfect," he hazily whispers, talking low. "Yeah, that's it," he nods slowly, encouraging you. "You're right there, pretty girl. I can feel it."
With his soft praise, you find yourself gripping onto his dick, tightly clamping around him as you cum. Moaning sweet cries senselessly with your head thrown back.
Your release triggers his own, pumping his thick, warm load in his hand, biting back broken groans as he milks the rest of his cum onto your jittering inner thighs.
Heavily panting, he peels himself from above you, stuffing his dick into the tops of his pants as he extends a hand towards you, nodding for you to take. Smiling. "Let's get cleaned up."
//
After your shared shower, you and Matt both find yourselves standing in front of his open bedroom window, the sounds and smells of the 3 AM morning seeping into the apartment.
He stands close behind you, his chin resting on your shoulder, his bare chest pressed into your back as he hugs your middle. He was appreciating you - appreciating you the way you did the stars in the sky.
"I got an idea," you chirp, breaking the comfortable silence.
He hums softly, waiting for you to elaborate.
You step away from him, instead moving to stand behind him. "Okay, so here," you start, placing a finger on the top right of his back. "This here. Is Jupiter," you pause, lining the marking as accurately as possible, wanting to show him what you can see. "It's the brightest in the sky at night. A soft gold, white colour-- she's very pretty."
He hums again, listening to you intently - silently admiring how you're trying to include him.
You drag your finger to the left, grazing over his scarred back. "This is Mars. She's pretty small and like an orangey-red. Then way over here," you pause, lining the placement with your view. "That's Saturn, then back over here... this here. It's my favourite star."
"What does it look like?" he asks, tone warm and curious.
You smile to yourself, wrapping your arms around his middle - hugging him the way he did to you. "Very bright. It sparkles and twinkles. Sometimes, it looks like she changes colour."
"They sound beautiful," he murmurs, placing his hands over your arms, holding you against him.
"I got an idea," you pause, pressing a kiss into his shoulder. "If you're interested. I can get a map of all the stars and constellations I can see around here and then raise the dots on the stars-- so it's like your braille. And you can feel what I see," you ramble, the excitement evident in your voice.
He chuckles, a warm, wide grin on his face. "I would like that," he hums, holding you tighter as you listen to the sounds of the city below.

Bucky didn’t think there was anything worth enjoying in his new life. Of course he appreciated Steve’s unwavering loyalty and the ease that he brought Bucky after he was freed from Hydra. There was also Sam’s annoying banter which usually gave Bucky something to smirk about, but he would never admit that to anyone. When Bucky didn’t understand what a text message was, Wanda and Natasha helped him adapt to the technological wonders of this modern time. He was even glad when Tony would crack an “old joke” just to get under his skin, because Bucky knew humor was Tony’s way of showing he cared. While Bucky was grateful for everything his teammates did for him, there was still a very obvious void, that felt almost like a ten ton weight sitting on his chest, trying to steal his breath from him. That feeling of immense pressure and simultaneous emptiness only began to lessen about four months ago, on a balmy summer evening when Steve dragged Bucky to one of Tony’s lavish galas.
Bucky didn’t know who or what the event was for, in all honesty he figured Tony was just looking for another excuse to throw a party. The former Winter Soldier had been a part of the team for a while now, but these types of social gatherings never failed to make him feel extremely unsettled. Maybe it was the way he felt people’s eyes lingered on him for too long, whether it was from fear or judgment. Or maybe it was that the suit Natasha had helped him pick out was nearly suffocating him. It could have also been the glass filled with some unknown booze that felt uncomfortably heavy in his vibranium hand. All this to say, Bucky was certain the tension in his shoulders was palpable as he checked his watch for the thirtieth time that evening; he was waiting for the hands to tell him he had waited a respectful amount of time before he could seek out the comfort of his own room. Bucky reluctantly pulled his eyes up from his watch and began to scan the room, hoping to find Steve and with him some sense of calmness. His search was cut short when his gaze landed on a girl chatting with Peter near the bar. She had short y/h/c hair that reminded him of a girl from his own time, messier and not as curled perhaps, but classic nonetheless. Her long, black, strapless dress and sleek platform heels reminded him of something Natasha might have worn. He wondered for a second if maybe Nat had helped her pick out an outfit too. Deciding that was an utterly ridiculous thought a second later, Bucky found himself enamored by her smile. It was all he could focus on: that beautiful, perfect smile. One corner of her mouth curved up more than the other and her full red painted lips made it impossible for Bucky to look away. Seconds felt like hours and as Bucky continued to look at her, he found a smile involuntarily tugging at his own lips. Amazingly enough, he didn’t feel so out of place anymore.
“It’s rude to stare.” Bucky quickly jerked his head towards Sam’s voice. His smile immediately faded as he glared at his friend.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Wilson.” Even Bucky didn’t believe his words and chances were Sam didn’t either. Despite being a pain in the ass, he was smarter and more observant than Bucky liked to give him credit for. Sam rolled his eyes and ignored Bucky’s hint to drop the topic.
“Why don’t you go and ask her to dance?” Bucky couldn’t breathe. There was no way in hell he could do that. Standing across the room was the prettiest girl he’d seen and Sam thought it would be a good idea for him to ask her for a dance.
“Yeah that will not be happening.” Bucky tossed back the rest of the liquid in his glass, knowing that the pleasant burn of the alcohol would not affect him in the slightest. He wished it would. Maybe a little liquid courage was the push he needed to go over and speak to her.
“Look man, she’s gorgeous and really sweet, I met her this morning. All I’m saying is that she would totally say yes if you asked. She was staring at you too, by the way.” This morning. Bucky recalled Sam telling him he met a new member of the team earlier that morning. Maybe he would have the chance to see her again if she was the one Sam was referring to. Shaking his head to extinguish any false hope he had conjured up, Bucky realized that Sam was telling the truth; the girl was staring right back at him. After a few seconds, she raised her delicate fingers and sent a small wave. Bucky almost keeled over on the spot. Not knowing what else to do, he awkwardly raised his own hand back. She smiled. He smiled. And just like that Bucky knew he was a goner.
Four months later…
“No.” Bucky refused to change his mind. Steve rolled his eyes at his friend, who currently stood across the room with his arms crossed over his chest with a look that said, this is your final warning. Steve knew better than to try and push his best friend around, but this really was a mission that required her skills. There were dozens of hostages, and they would need medical attention. Not from doctors, but from her.
“Buck. You know I wouldn’t put Y/n in the field if I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary.” Bucky did not move. Steve sighed. And people call me stubborn. He thought to himself.
“I understand that you want to protect her Bucky, I really do. But she is a part of this team. Y/n’s an Avenger and her role is to heal people. Now, there are people who need her help and she is going to go and help them. If you would prefer not to lead this mission than I can have someone else take-”
“No.” Bucky was quick to cut off Steve’s offer. His tone was firm, but just below the surface Bucky was panicking. He didn’t want his girl out in the field. But if Y/n had to go, he couldn’t stand the thought of not being out there with her. Steve raised a brow.
“I’ll go. But you better make sure there is no way we’re gonna get ambushed. We’d better be prepared. I won’t hesitate to beat your ass if something happens to Y/n.” Bucky turned to leave the conference room as Steve muttered something under his breath.
“What?” Bucky snapped.
“I just said it seems like you care about Y/n an awful lot when she isn’t even your girlfriend.” Bucky knew Steve was trying to get him to admit that he was too scared to ask her out. But honestly, Bucky wasn’t in the mood for his best friend to play matchmaker. So, without a look back, he stormed out into the corridor towards the gym. He was set on taking his anger and fear out on some punching bags, but as he walked through the halls all he could think about was her smile. He needed that smile safe. If he could just wrap it in his arms and shield it from all the bad, he would be happy for the rest of his life.
————————————————————————
You were certain there had to have been some kind of mistake. The thick Manila folder that sat on your desk marked “MISSION BRIEFING” had to have been delivered to the wrong room. Bucky was just across the hall, so maybe it was for him. That had to be it, because there was no way they were seriously considering putting you out in the field after only four months of being on the team. You weren’t even supposed to be a field agent. Nick Fury had recruited you because of your powers. Sure, you could mend a broken bone and fuse a gunshot wound close, but that did not mean you fought on the front lines. It meant you waited until your team was back to the safety of the compound to help them. Refusing to open the folder you picked it up and made your way to Bucky’s door.
“Buck?” You called as you knocked on the cool wood. You gasped as it opened not a second later. Bucky was standing in front of you in all his post gym, sweaty, shirtless glory.
“Hey, doll. What’s up?” He asked with a smirk tugging at his lips. That damned smirk. You immediately drew your gaze away from his tight abs and pretty smile up to his eyes. Which, honestly, didn't help because you found yourself getting lost in a sea of  deep cerulean blue. It seemed that every aspect of Bucky had an overwhelming effect on you. Deciding it was best to stare at the carpet instead, you fumbled with the folder before showing it to him.
“I think they gave this to me by accident, because I’m not usually in the field. Actually I’ve never been in the field and so it’s probably yours and I just wanted to give it to you.” Your words came out all in one breath and you kept your gaze focused on the floor at your feet. You felt Bucky gently take the folder from your grasp. You were ready to let out a sigh of relief when you felt his fingers thread through your own as he lightly pulled you into his room. As your heart beat began to quicken, the brief confusion you had felt quickly morphed into anxiety. Why didn’t he just take his mission briefing and send you on your merry way? He gestured for you to sit down on his bed as he sat next to you.
“No, this is yours.” He finally said. The finality in his tone made you want to throw up. “Steve told me this morning. But I made him promise that there would be no combat, and I’ll be leading. There will be two other agents, so you’re not alone. The mission should be fairly quick, in and out and then we come home. I promise I won’t let anything happen to you.” His words were somewhat of a comfort. You also knew that the rest of the team was fairly confident in your abilities, since Nat, Sam and Steve had all trained extensively with you over the last four months. Bucky refused to spar with you but that's besides the point. Although, you weren’t really worried about not being able to defend yourself. You had been trained and ran through mission scenarios, but the weight of the briefing envelope in your hands was making this too real. It also didn’t help that every single agent wanted to rip you apart because you were given a spot on the Avengers without making it into SHIELD as an agent. You had tried to put yourself through training, but during your first field test, you instantly choked. All of the sudden the gun pointed at the enemy agent in front of you made your arms feel like lead. Your brain wouldn’t let you pull the trigger, so you stood there, frozen. You were positive you were going to be removed from the program, but when Nick Fury heard about your healing powers, you were suddenly offered a spot as an Avenger. So, to put it plainly, every single SHIELD agent hated you. They hated that you failed training and still got the most coveted title, they hated that you lived in Avengers Tower, they hated that you got everything they wanted. The real problem, which was much bigger than any jealous agent’s spiteful remarks, was that you could not stomach the idea of hurting someone. That was the reason why you failed your training in the first place, because bad guy or not, you were given the gift of healing. You were never supposed to cause pain and it seemed as if the concept of harming someone was against your very nature. Pulling the trigger on a paper silhouette was one thing. Aiming a gun at another human being was quite another. So while the training you had done prepared you for taking down enemies, you’re not entirely sure you could bring yourself to that.
“Ok.” Was all you could manage. Some time during your internal spiral Bucky had begun rubbing soothing circles on your back. Bucky was another aspect of this assignment that you had to consider. You weren’t sure how to feel about him going on the mission with you. Your relationship was a little confusing at times to say the least. You knew that you cared about him more than a friend would and he often made it seem like he felt the same way. You had felt this way from the very first night you met him, when he caught you staring at him and you awkwardly waved (who the hell waves at a hot guy across the room?) Bucky was also the first one to make you feel like you were truly part of the team. He would bring your breakfast to the lab when you were working mornings and didn’t have time to eat, he would make sure you had a good spot on the couch for team movie nights (it was coincidentally always next to him) and then there were time like these where he would comfort you and do everything in his power to make you feel safe and cared for. Basically, in the four months that you had known him, you were falling in love with Bucky Barnes.
“Ok, what, doll?” And those stupid pet names definitely weren’t helping you keep your feelings at bay.
“Ok. Sounds good, I guess I’ll see you at the hangar in a few hours.” You replied, unwilling to meet his eyes, you slowly picked up the folder and walked towards his door. An unnerving feeling overcame you as you heard the heavy wood close behind you.
————————————————————————
You figured the mission would not be a walk in the park, and as you sat in the middle of Siberia, with two agents that hate you and hostages with far more injuries than Steve had anticipated, you knew this easily made your “Top Ten Worst Days list.” Of course you were more than happy to help every hostage, that was the only part you enjoyed. However, the  amount of energy it took to heal so many injuries resulted in black dots clouding your vision by the time you had helped the last hostage. The thing about your healing abilities was that you had to use your energy to heal others. Meaning healing their injuries literally exhausts you. And on top of the twenty broken bones, abrasions and burns you’ve healed, Megan and Nick had a few bumps and bruises from breaking down the door and restraining the guards that needed mending. According to Megan, Bucky told them to go to you since they need to be in top shape for the trek back to the safe house. While the safe house sounded pleasant, the fact that it was currently 40 below and that the shelter was three miles out in the middle of a forest, was not as pleasant. After you finished healing Megan’s bruised ankle, the dizziness that had settled in a few minutes prior was now overwhelming. If you could just sit down for a few minutes and maybe close your eyes, you would feel much better.
“Get up. We need to meet Bucky in a few minutes. A storm is moving in so we can’t take the jet back until morning. Bucky secured the hostages in an exit raft and we need to find the safehouse soon.” Megan sneered as she pushed your hands away from her ankle.
“Could I just have one minute? I’m not feeling-”
“You’re an Avenger, right? So get off your ass and start walking.” You hesitantly stood up, apparently too quickly because you began swaying and lurched forward, catching yourself against a tree. The frozen bark cut into your skin, slicing your palms. Willing your head to stop spinning you looked down at your bloodied hands. Another downside of your powers was that once your energy had been spent, it became nearly impossible for you to continue healing, which meant you could not help yourself or others when you were this exhausted. You heard Megan’s boots crunch in the snow as she began to walk, blatantly ignoring your compromised state. Since it appeared you had no other option, you began walking as well, but the edges of your vision were fuzzy and it felt like someone had thrown your head against a wall. If you could just get to Bucky maybe he would let you rest for a minute. No. You couldn’t ask him for that, Megan and Nick already thought you got special treatment for being an Avenger you didn’t need them to see parts of yours and Bucky’s friendship in the field. Plus, Bucky had been acting weird ever since you stepped foot on the quinjet. He called you by your last name and his usual soft eyes and teasing tone had left him completely. It made sense, you told yourself as you pushed forward, because this was his job, and he didn’t really care about you like that. The frigid chill had begun to seep through your suit, and though you had never been a huge fan of the cold, you were thankful for it now. It was keeping you awake and alert, the sting of the snow hitting your face gave you something to focus on so you wouldn’t pass out. Finally you reached the clearing where Bucky was waiting. You glanced up to find his concerned gaze looking you over. You used all your strength to muster up a smile and nodded your head to let him know you were ok. He seemed satisfied enough, and told the team to start walking.
How you managed to walk two miles you weren’t sure, but what you did know was that you were now falling behind the others. You were following Nick and Megan who had been keeping a fairly even pace with Bucky. But now, with the snow whipping all around you, you couldn’t see or hear any of them. Maybe this would be a good time to take a break. It would only be for a few minutes and nobody would notice that you had taken a breather. As the snow storm had progressed you had lost feeling in your fingers and toes, and it seemed like everything was moving in slow motion. You thought you reached out to brace yourself on a tree but instead you felt like you were falling. It didn’t hurt when you hit the powdery snow, its cold embrace only called you to rest your eyes. You obeyed and felt your eyelids slowly blink shut. I’ll only rest for a minute, you told yourself. Just as you were about to let sleep pull you under, you heard shouting. The voice sounded familiar as it called your name over the howling of the wind. You knew you should answer but you simply didn’t have the energy. Then, you felt strong arms lift you up and a familiar fresh, piney scent filled your nose. This is what Bucky smells like, you thought to yourself.
“Could you open those pretty eyes for me. Please, doll. I’m begging you, give me anything.”
Bucky sounded like he was talking underwater.
“You are not allowed to do this to me, I swear I’ll make it up to you but you gotta wake up so we can talk.” And why did he seem so worried? You wanted to tell him that you were fine but you couldn’t get the words out.
“Why wouldn’t you say something?” Bucky’s muddled voice had more of an edge this time. His sharp tone made sense, he had every right to be mad at you, it was you who was slowing down the mission and now he had to pick up the slack.
“I didn’t see her fall behind, she was fine a minute ago.” This time it was a woman who responded and somewhere in your mind you figured it was Megan. But you hadn’t been “fine a minute ago,” in fact you hadn’t felt ok for over an hour.
“You’re supposed to watch out for your teammates, so I’m going to ask again, why the hell did you not say something?” In your dazed state you realized Bucky was directing his anger at Megan not at you and well you felt some reprieve from the fact that Bucky didn’t seem too disappointed in you, you were beginning to slip further and further into the shadows of sleep. You knew you needed to stay awake, but you couldn’t feel anything, not the snow hitting your cheeks, or Bucky’s frantic pace, and your entire body felt completely numb. Time began to pass strangely after that moment, you heard some more gargled shouting before you felt your body being laid down on something hard. You found some odd burst of energy and forced your eyelids to open, looking up to find Bucky’s worried eyes desperately trying to hold your gaze. His eyes seemed glossier and much more concerned than normal, but you couldn’t figure out why. “C’mon Y/n, I’ll get you warm and you’ll be alright. I’m gonna have to get your wet gear off first, but I promise I’ll make it all better ok, sweetheart? I love you too much to let go now.” Love? Why would Bucky be talking about love, he seemed so frustrated with you in the field. His face disappeared from view a moment later and you thought you heard the sound of fabric ripping. Bucky yelled for someone to get blankets and before you could tell him that all his shouting was confusing and much too loud, you surrendered yourself to the peaceful comfort of unconsciousness.
You didn’t know when you became aware of your surroundings again, whether it had been minutes or weeks, you couldn’t tell. You could smell burning wood accompanied by a familiar piney scent that you soon identified as Bucky, but you couldn’t open your eyes to confirm your theory. When you heard a deep voice laced with a Brooklyn accent from somewhere around you, you didn’t have to look at Bucky to know whose arms were protecting you.
“...Remember when we were in Queens and you made me go inside that old book store with you? We stayed there until they closed and you kept handing me books that would, “change your life, I swear it, Bucky.” I didn’t like reading much in the forties but I woulda stayed there with you for weeks if it meant I got to see that smile of yours every time you read something funny. I’ll take you back there but you gotta wake up first, alright?” Bucky’s words were soothing, and his soft voice gently lulled you back to sleep before you could answer his request.
Bucky was talking again when you tried to wake up for a second time,
“...Everything about you is perfect, doll, like how you always scrunch your nose when Sam’s cooking looks awful, but you eat it anyway with a smile on your face because you’re just happy he cared enough to make you something.” You wanted to smile for Bucky, open your mouth, say anything. But your head was still too heavy and you couldn’t break through the cloud of sleep that kept dragging you back under.
This time you could feel warmth running up and down your arms, as if someone was trying to coax you from sleep with their caring touch. You waited for Bucky to talk to you again, you found yourself needing his words to anchor you to consciousness.
“...You should’ve told me sooner, sweetheart, I coulda carried you, given you a little break. You know I would do just about anything for you right? Hell, I think everyone on this damn team thinks I’m weak when it comes to you. But you don’t make me weak, Y/n, you give me a reason to smile, you make me feel better about the world and like I’m not too broken to be a part of it…” You wanted to take Bucky’s face in your hands and tell him that he was not broken, that he was worth more than your words would ever mean. But it still seemed like too much work to open your eyes, so you kept them shut and let your mind slip back into sleep for a little longer.
————————————————————————
Your skin felt like it was on fire, that was the first thing you noticed when you fully regained consciousness. Something heavy was laying across your stomach and there was a solid presence holding you that seemed to radiate the same amount of heat as the crackling fire in front of you.
“Y/n? Doll? Thank God you’re finally awake, how’re you feeling?
At the sound of his voice you slowly turned to face Bucky and were met with a look of adoration in those blue eyes, which made you feel even worse for making him take care of you.
“I’m sorry I messed the mission up, Barnes.” Even though your sight was still a little blurry you could make out the confusion in his face. Pushing some hair out of your face he asked,
“You never call me Barnes, what’s up with that Y/n/n? And what are goin’ on about, “messing up the mission,” you didn’t do a damn thing wrong. If Megan and Nick had done their jobs as teammates you wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s my fault too ya know, I should've checked you over before I made you walk three miles. You looked a little tired when I first saw you but I think I tricked myself into believing you were safe, all I ever want is for you to be safe, Y/n.” You weren’t quite sure how to answer him, your brain felt like quicksand, trapping your thoughts from becoming words.
“And you never answered my question, Y/n, you feelin’ better?” You nodded slowly, during the time you had been asleep your body had slowly heated up, you had regained feeling in your limbs and your mind was feeling less foggy by the minute.
“Thanks for getting me out of there, Bucky. I mean, it’s not like I needed your help, I just wanted to sleep for a few minutes.” You attempted to lighten the mood by pushing out a laugh that sounded more like a light exhale.
“There she is, that’s the girl I love.” You whipped your head back with such force that Bucky had to place his hand on your neck to prevent you from giving yourself whiplash. You stared into his eyes, determined to find out if he was really speaking the truth.
“I do love you Y/n, I have from the minute I caught you smiling at Tony’s stupid gala. You’re perfect to me, in every possible way, from your smile to your soul.” Of course you felt the same way for him. Bucky was your best friend, he made you laugh and his heart and the care that he gave out freely never ceased to amaze you. You watched his lips turn into the most perfect smile  and you found yourself smiling twice as big knowing that there was no moment in your life more wonderful than this one. Right before you could respond a shiver ran through you and Bucky turned you around so you were facing the fireplace again.
“Hey, Bucky?” you received a low hum and a kiss behind your ear in response. “You should really shower, you smell like an old barn.” He chuckled and replied, “Jeez, doll, I save your life and tell you that I love you, and all you do is tell me that I smell?” You could tell that Bucky knew you were teasing, but you didn’t feel like letting him off the hook quite yet.
“I guess I love you too.” You mumbled with an obvious grin in your voice.
“I know you do doll, I only wish you had said something sooner, then I woulda had more opportunities to torture you for makin’ fun of me.” With that, Bucky began to tickle your stomach, while still being wary of your injuries, earning an eruption of giggles from your mouth. After a few seconds Bucky pulled you back against him and whispered a soft, “sleep, sweet girl, I’ve got you,” into your hair. Your eyes slowly fell shut and you felt completely content, knowing you were safe in the arms of the man who loved you, and who you loved right back.

Tumblr media
You had been on a few dates with Steven Grant over the past couple of months. The shy, charmingly awkward, beautiful man that worked in the museum gift shop encapsulated you like no other had ever done before.
“That’ll be - uhh - five pounds and sixty pence” his warm eyes glimmered, a polite smile graced his kind face, and you just about melted into a puddle on the floor. You had visited the museum for the first time with some friends early February that year, and were stupidly close to veering away from the gift shop, when the alluring man behind the till caused you to almost trip over your own feet.
“Taweret,” he exhaled a jittered chuckle as you fumbled through your purse, pointing to the small statuette of the goddess whilst his other hand twitched as if he wasn’t sure where to put it, to then clumsily settle on the counter. “Excellent choice”.
You paused and lifted your lashes to gaze at him, his expression bright although he was far from comfortable. He always lost the very little nerve he had around divine women. “She’s pretty,” you said after humming in agreement. Truth be told, you didn’t quite care, your only motivation being that you had to buy something, so that you could linger around the shelves and marvel at the enticing gentlemen behind the counter without making it too obvious.
You smiled back at him when his grin grew bigger, his tousled dark locks bouncing as he nodded eagerly, and you could have sworn his pink cheeks deepened in rouge. ‘Pretty’ maybe wasn’t the word Steven would use, but be it that it was coming from your mouth had him blindly agreeing.
You could tell from the praising comment that he was holding back from explaining why he thought you made a good choice, and if you weren’t being beckoned towards the exit by your friends, you would have enthralled him. His eagerness, the excited glimmer that lingered behind his chocolate irises drew you close, and you wished for more time.
“Thankyou-“ glancing at his name tag that sat slightly lopsided on the pocket of his navy button up, “-Steven” you smiled, handing him the array of pound coins and loose change. “With a V,” he stuttered, pointing to his name badge as if you hadn’t already looked at it. The alluring stranger was now a little less strange, and you silently cursed him for turning your legs to putty for doing virtually nothing.
Steven. How could he make such a generic name seem so endearing?
His gaze scanned your flushed face, lids sitting slightly lazy as you witnessed him slip into a visible small daze. “Oh- uh, yeah. You’re welcome” he stood up straight in a rush, stunned and a little embarrassed upon the realisation that he had drifted.
From then on, you made every excuse to visit the museum every so often, spending days off you would usually squander in your one bedroom flat stealing greedy glances at Steven from between the shelves.
In your free time, with no one there to unwillingly drag you away, you would stand head in hands propped up on your elbows on the other side of the till, listening to him with undivided attention rivet spellbindingly on about the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.
“Starting a collection, are we?” he grinned, and you recognised that same gleeful glint behind his eyes. You had sparked the conversation once another small statuette, of Isis this time, graced his palms over the counter. “Will you tell me about her?” you requested politely, your feet rooting to the ground beneath you when he began gushing about the major Goddess.
Two months passed before you worked up the courage to ask him out, having talked yourself out of asking him sooner too many times. His reaction to the proposal of drinks after his shift made your heartbeat flutter a little faster; his face automatically brightened whilst blinking at you in almost disbelief.
“Is… that a… yes?” you prodded, unable to stifle the schoolgirl-esque giggle that wormed its way out of your chest when he was rendered mute. There he was again, swimming in that ditsy daydream that he would often visit when he was around you, a far off gaze that made his eyes twinkle.
Steven shook his head, coming to his senses quicker than he would if you had drenched him in ice water, “Oh! Yes! -“ he cleared his throat, “Yes. Absolutely! Give me uhhh…,” he glanced at his watch, “Half an hour?”.
The first date was even more wonderful than you could have imagined, never tiring of his over enthusiastic gleeful voice laced with more delight than you had ever witnessed when you prodded him more about his knowledge on ancient Egypt, surprised that he wasn’t already a tour guide.
“You’re wasted at that place, they don’t deserve you” you told him with utmost sincerity, after becoming excessively annoyed by his heavy sigh once you asked why he was still working in the gift shop. Not at him, of course, but at his stupid boss. Why did they not see how wonderful he was?
Though it settled your heart when you practically saw the sunken purple under lethargic eyes bore a healthy glow to match the warm tan of his skin, realising that he probably didn’t have somebody to tell him how great he actually was. His lips curled into a small smile, settling there as his cheeks turned to that familiar rouge.
“Will I… will I be able to see you again?” he asked apprehensively as he helped you with your coat, stumbling slightly almost as if he expected a refusal. You turned to him, enjoying the way he would evidently allow intrusive thoughts to sway his body language and facial expressions, his eyes furiously scanning your face for some sort of cue, praying to every God that the answer wasn’t no.
You straightened the collar of his shirt, resisting the urge to run your hands over his strong shoulders that were hidden underneath the oversized geometric fabric, that you quickly caught on was one of his favourites.
And like a moth to a flame, you couldn’t resist.
So now here you were, two weeks later curled up on Steven’s grey fabric couch in his dingy London flat, chowing down on some noodles from the local Chinese takeaway. It was a battle within itself to wiggle your way into his flat in the first place, stunting the tried and true trusty puppy dog eyes and pouty lip that had him practically melting in front of you.
Glancing beside you, your stomach pooled with an overwhelming warmth. “God, this is amazing!”, the delight coating his words snapped you out of a trance you didn’t realise you were in, watching how his face would twist into gleeful smiles and theatrical gasps. Who knew a movie about hobbits and wizards would have him so enthralled?
He was so innocently sublime, overwhelmingly beguiling to every degree and beyond, and somehow he was interested in you. At least that’s what you would like to think, as every time he made the smallest move he would proceed to hastily back out at the last second.
If your hands touched he would allow his fingers to linger there for a moment, before whisking it away as quickly as it appeared amidst an awkward clear of the throat.
“What?” he laughed when he noticed you staring, cheeks stuffed full of noodles and eyes glittering with wonder. You clocked the steal of a glance at your lips, which only made your smile grow wider and your cheeks flush a deeper pink. “Nothing,” you replied, returning your attention to the film, relishing in the sensation of his gaze raking across your face.
You would kill to know what he was thinking at that moment. Hoping that he shared in your desire; as if he were to give you the green light, that god awful geometric shirt would be ripped from his torso and cast to the floor quicker than he could say ‘Hathor’.
But you wanted Steven to be the one to take it further, as you already felt that you had to step on his throat to even get past the first date, let alone hold grapple him in a chokehold to get through his front door.
You couldn’t be the one to hold the reins forever, and if either of you wanted there to be a forever, he would have to pluck up the courage to take it that one step forward.
There was a kindling fire behind those dark chocolate eyes that screamed for a spark; a match, a fan to the flame, anything, to transform into a raging inferno. You savoured the anticipation, relishing in the fact that at any moment, the embers would ignite.
You could cut the thick tense blanket that swallowed the atmosphere with a knife, the longer Steven stared the quicker your heart would beat, spiralling exponentially towards concaving in your chest. “You’re not watching,” you told him, pretending that you didn’t just want to pounce on him there and then.
“Yeah… yeah” he nodded dizzily, admiring the curve of your lips and the slither of collar bone that peaked out from under your cotton t-shirt. He audibly swallowed, a small shake of his head as he too returned even a morsel of attention back to the screen, having to unbutton the collar of his shirt.
And for the next two hours you sat in near complete silence, a comfortable silence at that, eventually sitting parallel knee against knee, two spoons shovelling into one bowl of raspberry ripple ice cream. You both shared the odd glance and smirk when the other gasped at the tv screen, cannily drinking in the look on Steven’s face when he was consumed with laughter.
Becoming slightly tired of dangling on the edge of expectation, you shuffled over towards Steven’s side of the couch and rested your head on his shoulder. You could call it a bold move, as his bicep clenched under your touch, but would soon relax when your arm snaked through his to curl into a comfortable link.
He smelled so good. Like coffee beans and that generic cedarwood aftershave every man on the planet would wear. But it was like new when it came from him. You found yourself leaning into him, heart fluttering and head promising sin. If your eyes could take the shape of hearts, then they would have done at this moment. It was almost too much to bear.
“This was fun,” Steven said sheepishly whilst leaning against the doorframe of his front door, another perfect example of the fact that he never knew how to place himself, always appearing so self-conscious and fuelled by unease. “I like spending time with you,” you admitted, the first time either of you had explicitly informed the other that you actually valued when you were together.
Another bashful grin, both rows of teeth on full display as he glanced at the floor. You had half expected him to lift a leg up behind him like the lead female role would do in a rom-com. “We should do something again soon, yeah?” his eyes connected with yours, and your ribcage splintered. You didn’t want to leave. Not right now.
But it was obvious he didn’t want you to stay, and you lingered there for what felt like an eternity, screaming at him in your head to let you stay with him a little while longer.
“See you soon, Steven with a V” you turned to begin your walk to the uber waiting outside of the flat block, the lack of offer to, at the very least, walk with you resonating a painful sting.
But you barely even took a step, having only turned your back before you felt a strong grip of calloused fingers along the nook of your elbow. Spinning around, you didn’t have a chance to utter a single syllable before his lips were on yours. You leant forward towards him again, hands flying to his curls whilst his glide over your sides, mesmerising every curve and dip of your padded flesh, twisting around your back.
One hand settles on the small of your back, the other pressing frightenglingy harshly between your shoulder blades. He held you there, rooting you to the ground and suddenly feeling fragile and small in his grasp, waiting to be consumed and devoured. If he pressed any harder you would surely combust under the pressure.
Every shared glance, every hover of delicate fingers on skin, and every heartfelt compliment shattered and swelled all at once within this kiss. You had wanted it from the moment you saw him, with his lopsided name tag and dishevelled brooding appearance.
Your stomach flipped, lungs knotting themselves together amongst the sheer disbelief that you finally got to touch him, possessively and obediently. From your shoulder blades his large palm skates to hook around the back of your neck, forcing you closer as your teeth chattered against one another.
As much as you could stand here forever with him, consuming his taste and touch in every way possible, you couldn’t fuck him out in the corridor. So mustering up the might to push him back, he whimpered as your lips disconnected, his pink tongue chasing your mouth in a desperate attempt to keep you sealed together.
With the fabric of his shirt wadded in the palm of your hand and his shaking breath brushing your nose, you walked him back and shut the front door, not wasting another second before tugging on his shirt to pull him right back in. Steven jolted against you, swiftly lunging himself forward as your tongues twisted together before your lips even had the chance to reconnect.
He tasted of raspberry ice cream, so sweet, and you felt the stretch of his lips as he smiled into you. His large hands found your hips, digging fingertips into the soft flesh underneath the sheer fabric of your dress to quickly smooth over the hurt when you winced.
The awkward, sunken-so-far-down-in-his-chair-he-near-folded-in-on-himself, unimpeachable Steven had been flung out of the nearest window. This new form of himself that held you with such ferocity was uncharted territory, and you liked it.
He was desperate. And so were you.
“Oh god… is this okay?” he questioned against your lips as his fingers fumble with the hem of your dress, returning to those stuttering words and unsure wandering hands that were crying out to explore your body.
“Fuck, Steven, of course it’s okay” your voice dripped with arousal, a twinge of annoyance simmering behind your tone at his apprehensiveness. “Do whatever you want. It’s okay. This-“ you seized his hands and brought them up to harshly squeeze the tissue of your breasts, “-is okay”.
His eyes widened in a spectacular fashion as soon as his clammy palms kneaded the tender flesh, again frantic when they flickered between your chest and your face, unsure of where to look but knowing exactly what to do next.
Green light.
“‘Do whatever you want’, yeah?” his lips curled into a blood curdling grin, every cell in your body crystallising when you physically witnessed his eyes transcend darker. “Oh, darling. I will” and your heartbeat skyrocketed, much did the second one south of your hips that thumped with wicked urgent intent.
His kiss-bruised lips latched to your throat, and you felt yourself titling your head back against the door to give him easier access. As he nipped at the sensitive skin of your throat, one hand suctioned to your breast, resonating an ache that paired with the brutish force of his palming.
He wasted no time to send the other prowling up underneath your dress; nimble quick fingertips ghosting over the skin of your belly, sparking an array of goosebumps in their wake, tracing over the rolls of your sides along your ribs, settling against the cushion of your naked bosom.
Steven groaned against your neck, the rumbling adding to the multitude of sensations that had your breathing latch and heartbeat frantic. The only thing you could do was to hang onto him for dear life, your hands grasping to the roots of his curls as he had you pinned against the doorway, belligerently sucking welts of blue and purple against your skin.
“Fuck, Steven…” his name rolled off your tongue with an embarrassing simplicity, ready to fall to your knees if he commanded you to do so. You tightened your grip on his tousled curls, enough so that you winced at the mere thought of how it felt, but Steven only omitted a delighted groan in return.
He wedged himself against you, rolling his hips against your thigh where you quickly became aware of his own arousal, cock straining deliciously in his jeans. “Poor baby…” you cooed, reaching down to glide your hand over his clothed erection. He whimpered, a needy sound you had never quite heard before, fingers digging into your skin again so harshly you were bound to be bruised.
He melts against you, dragging a hand down to tease the waistband of your panties as your palm flattens along his apparent bulge. His head is buried into the crook of your neck, hot trembling moaning breaths fanning along your collarbone and chest. From this angle you could kiss along his glistening hairline, travelling towards his temple as you allowed him to drift again, savouring every little touch and squeeze in between.
“That’s it, darling” he drawled in response when you opened your legs for him, right on cue for his fingers to dip below the cloth concealing your modesty. Drawing him closer, ragged breaths seared the back of your throat as thick fingers discover how soaked you are for him. Ready and waiting, utterly dripping, for him.
“Fuck,” he runs his fingertips over the mound of your clit, breathing out a laugh of almost disbelief when you squeak. He must have felt your heart skip a beat; pulling his head back now to peer at you with a new wanderlust daze of sheer awestruck and admiration, a smirk painting his stupidly perfect face when those same fingers slid down to your slick entrance.
As if your state of arousal wasn’t obvious enough, as Steven teased your folds over and over again, the sound of it was a dead giveaway. “So fucking wet for me…” that familiar delight lingered behind his words, as if he had been presented with a professionally wrapped gift on christmas morning, satin bow and all.
“All for you…” you made sure he knew it. How devoted you were to him, how you would do anything he said at the drop of a hat. You had been hooked since the beginning. His thumb pad finally began to circle your clit, clumsily at first but he soon found his rhythm.
Now it was your turn to melt against him, fighting clawing urges to both hold his gaze and also throw your head back and squeeze your eyes shut amongst the pleasure. Just as you thought you were as close to heaven as you could get, Steven pushed a thick ring finger into your aching heat, catapulting you to a place otherworldly.
“Jesus! Steven!”, although you were more than prepared for him, the sudden sensation of becoming so full by just a finger was a jolting surprise within itself. He stared at you slack jawed, running his tongue absentmindedly over his bottom lip, watching you spurred with sacrilegious intent.
You ground down against him in a stupor, silently begging for more. Of course, Steven wouldn’t leave you hanging, as much as the thought of you pleading for him danced in his head, he wasn’t about to deprive this sweet sweet Goddess of the pleasure she deserved. There was plenty of time to practice those fantasies he pushed to the back of his mind.
He slips in another finger with ease, the initial shock of his presence within you settling, the familiar warmth pooling at the pit of your stomach. “That’s it, angel. Such a good girl” he cooed in your ear, returning his lips that glimmered with saliva to your reddened throat, purring buttery sweet nothings against your skin.
“Oh my fucking god,” you squirmed away from his touch, the firecrackers rippling along your spine teetering on the edge of too much to bear. But in this position, trapped between a wooden door and a man that was built as if chiselled from polished marble, you had nowhere to go.
And jesus fuck, you were glad to be caged.
Steven pulled his fingers back out of you again, and this time you whimpered in the same desperate tone he adorned only minutes ago. But with a shift of his posture and a curve of his wrist, he curled his fingers up into you at a new unrelenting angle that had you chanting with no cohesion.
He suckled at your flesh, the bulging arteries that pumped mercilessly with hot blood beckoning him like a siren call. “Oh god, Steven. Steven!” your whimpers became cries, cries became muffled screams that were stunted by the weight of his free hand that clasped rapidly over your mouth. The last thing he needed was a noise complaint from his shitty neighbours.
“Are you going to cum for me, angel? Such a pretty baby, falling apart all because of my fingers? You have no idea what my cock can do to you” the filth that stringed from his lips were enough to tip you over that edge, his voice as sweet as honey yet cold as ice. You never imagined such vulgarity to bubble from the throat of someone so… well, someone like Steven.
Your throat splintered under the weight of your cries, moan after moan ripping from your chest as you flooded the palm of his hands. You faintly heard what can only be described as rain in a thunderstorm hammering down south of your hips, head fuzzy and brain buzzing.
You noticed Steven’s bewildered and exhilterated expression as his focus dipped to his fingers that ploughed you through your high, slowing to a steady pace as your cries dwindled into soft moans. “Bloody hell, can you do that again?!“ his boyish pitch had returned, and it was when you fully came to your senses that you realised what had happened.
Titling your head down to follow his wide eyes, your chest began to cave in once again through the panic of realisation. You saw the front of Steven’s jeans first, splashed with the result of your orgasm, then; the tips of his fingers still aligned with your entrance, his palm and wrist dripping with your cum.
And the floor. God. The floor had become puddled with more arousal than you had ever seen. You knew you were capable, but goddamn, you had never squirted this much before.
“Oh jesus, I’m sorry. I didn’t-“ but you were cut off by his lips sealing with yours in a flurry, quickly shutting you up and snuffing out any doubt that has risen in your head. “Don’t you dare apologise,” he warned, tone so buttery and genuine as he kissed away any shame or uncertainty.
“I'm going to make you do that again”.

You try to get lost in the Christmas music you have playing in your office, trying to block out the music that’s being played from the ballroom down the hallway. It’s not that you don’t want to observe the festivities going on for the holidays, but you just feel that it’s not the best idea.
“You don’t have to keep working,” Susan Storm laughs, causing you to jump just a little as she enters your little office with two drinks in hand. “You should be enjoying the party with the rest of us.”
Or, Mrs. Richards. She doesn’t mind either.
“No, I still have work to do, it’s okay-”
“It’ll still be waiting for you when you get back from your holiday break,” she interrupts softly as she takes a seat at the other side of your desk. “Are you gonna go and see your family?”
“Um, no family to see,” you smile awkwardly. “Parents are gone, lost them in the attack on the towers, and I don’t have much a relationship with my siblings. I’m gonna stick to the tradition I’ve been following for about...six years, now? My friends and I make our favorite foods, have a big dinner, and exchange gifts.” “That sounds like fun,” she smiles, finally putting down the drink she brought in for you.
“You didn’t have to-”
“You work hard, Y/N. I know we don’t always acknowledge it, but Reed and I do see how hard you work, and how you come in earlier or stay later than you have to. You deserve a night of fun, even if you don’t stay for the party, you should enjoy being young. How old are you? 22?”
“You’re kind!” you laugh in disbelief. “I turn 28 this year.”
“Seriously?!”
“Good genes,” you smirk and she laughs.
“Well, no one is going to hold you to all of this work. If you want to, we’d love to have you at the party,” she says with all sincerity before getting up. She looks over on your desk and sees the picture of you and Johnny at the beach from last Summer and smiles before walking away.
The teeth he had pull to get you on that bike. Sometimes, his patience truly amazed you.
It’s not like you don’t want to go, but you’re trying to avoid him. Ever since the night you made a move on him, almost two months ago, you’ve made it a point to avoid Johnny Storm at all costs. It’s not like you didn’t try and stop yourself, but Johnny Storm is just that:
A fucking storm.
However, you didn’t want to be just a notch in his bedpost so, you did the only logical thing your drunk brain could come up with: you ran out of the room like a bat outta hell. You know it didn’t mean anything, so you’re not sure why you keep thinking about it. You were both drunk and said he said some things he couldn’t have possibly meant. Drunk men will do and say anything to get into someone’s pants, and why should he be any different? Because he’s a superhero? Because he’s your best friend? What the hell does that mean to you? Yes, like most women, you think he’s gorgeous and, even though you hate to admit it, you’ve spent more than a few lonely nights getting off to the thought of him and all of the things you’re more than sure he can make you feel.
Unfortunately, for you, it’s so much more than that.
You work for the Fantastic Four, and you have for fours years now. You get to see a side of them that the rest of the world doesn’t, and that’s what made you fall so hard for him. You’ve seen him triumphant and you’ve also seen him defeated. You’ve seen him being the sweetest guy while sober, and the biggest douche while drunk. You’ve seen the temper tantrums, while you’ve also seen him step up and take charge.
You have seen every side of Johnny Storm and you can’t help but love him. You know most people don’t see it (or think it for that matter), or believe it, but he is complex. He struggles with being a son his parents would be proud of (maybe that’s why him and Tony Stark get along so well), while also struggling with his own damn personality. Johnny is a fire by default (superpowers be dammed), and he can’t help but be a little reckless. He’s the youngest and has been spoiled since birth.
He doesn’t know how else to be.
That being said, you don’t know how to turn it off. You don’t know how to not want him. He’s nothing but chaos, but for you? Well, for you, he acts like he’ll move heaven and hell for you.
You don’t know how to stop being in love with him.
As you sip the whiskey neat Susan left you, you wonder how the hell you’ll be able to keep handling this job?
How the hell will you be able to handle Johnny Storm?
**
Johnny’s P.O.V
Why aren’t you here? I suggested this party just for you. It’s not like I haven’t tried to fight what I feel for you, but it’s...you. Of all the people I expected to fall for, you were who I least expected. Then, I saw you that night a year ago, and you’ve been all I’ve focused on since.
“Johnny, this club is beat!” my date whined before she took a drink of whatever the hell I ordered for her. “Lets go!”
“We’ve only been here for five minutes-”
“And it’s not gonna get any better!”
“Let me finish my drink,” I mumbled, irritated that it was taking me so long to get me to what I wanted.
That’s what I get for hanging around with the crowd that I do.
“Well, make it fast,” she scowled and I rolled my eyes.
It’s not like she was wrong. For a Saturday night, at 11pm, it was pretty dead. Of course, she was scouting for new candidates once I got rid of her, and I just wanted to see if it was anything worth revisiting. I was more than ready to leave as I started to down my drink, but then...
Then, I saw you.
“You can leave if you want. I think I wanna stick this out,” I told my date as I saw you dancing and laughing with your friends to ‘If You Dare’ by Jazmine Sullivan.
“Fine,” she huffed before she ordered another a drink.
I should’ve left, because there was no reason for me to stay. We were friends and I shouldn’t have thought of you in that way. You weren’t like the women I usually dated or flirted with, you stayed focused on your work at all times, you had your priorities straight, you had been through enough and didn’t need me complicating things for you.
You looked so happy and content, and it’d been so long since I’d seen you like that. Yeah, that was on me, but it didn’t matter in that moment. You always wore modest clothes, you never smiled like that while working, you were dancing so freely, and you looked like you didn’t have a care in the world.
I tried, but I just couldn’t look away. As the songs kept playing, and the drinks kept coming, you just became more and more carefree, and it just made me miss you even more.
It’s not like I didn’t believe in real love or relationships, I just didn’t believe in them for me. Seeing you in that moment though...it had me seeing things differently. However, if I’m honest with myself, it started long before that, didn’t it?
“Johnny,” Reed called, pulling my attention away from the X-Games on the screen in front of me, “this is Y/N. Be nice to her, she’s going to help with research and also acting as a receptionist.”
“Don’t tell me you found someone to keep you occupied while Sue is busy,” I chuckled as I looked you over.
You instantly froze at that.
“Johnny!” Reed snapped.
“It was a joke,” I sighed, “it’s nice to meet you.”
“Y-you too, Mr. Storm.”
“God no,” I groaned, “Johnny. Please, call me Johnny!”
“Will do,” you laughed softly, “it’s nice to meet you, Johnny.”
Something abut that small, innocent laugh made something stir inside of me. I made that remark about you keeping Reed busy while Sue was away, because you looked like the type of nerd he’d fall for. I won’t lie though, I did think you were cute. Shy, quiet, anxious, glasses that were slightly too big for your face, a beige sweater that was too big for you, and little black pencil skirt. You were the type of woman I would’ve secretly crushed on in High School.
From that day on, you did your best to stay out of the way. You were kind to everyone, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you cry or get angry, you were always two hours too early and stayed three hours later than you needed to, and you rarely ever asked for days off. The days when you weren’t in the building felt empty.
Lonely.
I think what changed things for me was how you treated me after the incident with the Silver Surfer.
“Johnny?” you called softly as you came out onto the balcony.
“Stay back, I might fuck you up too,” I scowled, grabbing another beer from the six pack I brought out with me.
“You didn’t fuck up anything, Johnny,” you sighed as you took a seat next to me.
That was the first time I ever heard you curse.
“Tell that to Reed.”
“You went after the Surfer because it was your job. You didn’t do this to yourself.”
“I almost killed-”
“But you didn’t,” you interrupted softly. “Accidents happen. Are you headstrong and cocky? Absolutely,” you smirked and I couldn’t help but scoff, “but you’re also a good guy who loves his sister, his friends, and wants to do what’s best for everyone else. It was just a bad day. All of this will get sorted out and it’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it.”
“How do you know?”
“I just do,” you smiled reassuringly before getting up, “I’ll get out of your hair so you can-”
“No....stay...if you don’t mind. It’s nice...having someone to talk to about this. It’s nice...talking to you,” I muttered as I offered you a beer.
We stayed out there for hours, talking about any and everything. That’s when I learned about your family, your awful money hungry siblings, your shitty boyfriend, your love of art, classic and horror movies, and how much you love to cook.
That’s when I learned that I was in love with you.
Fast forward two months and my luck seemed to change just a bit.
“You can’t be here, Tyler!” I heard you snap softly.
“You’re always here!” Tyler responded with a gruff tone that I didn’t appreciate at all.
How the hell could your boyfriend be getting angry with you for doing your job? Especially when he does nothing to contribute!
“It’s a fucking party-”
“Do you not see how many diplomats are here?! This is much more than a party! Deals are being made, help is being asked for, agreements are being-”
“Another fucking night that you’re not home! You’re coming home with me-”
“Let me go!” you almost yelled. “I have a fucking job to do! A job that pays our bills and keeps food in the fridge, since you lost your fucking job! Maybe, if you’d go out-”
“You little bitch! You know that wasn’t my fault! I-”
“You were drunk on the fucking job, Tyler! You got fired because you don’t know how to get your shit together!”
“You think you’re so much fucking better than-”
“Is there a problem here?” I asked as I made my way out onto the terrace.
“Johnny, everything is fine,” you scrambled frantically over to me, “you don’t have to-”
“Who the fuck are you?!” Tyler interrupted.
“A friend,” I warned as my hands flared up.
I didn’t even mean for it to happen, I was just that concerned and angry. God, what the hell were you doing to me?
“Jesus, you’re fucking the Human Torch?!” Tyler snapped.
“TYLER!”
“You need to leave,” I warned as I made my way over to him, “you weren’t invited and no one wants you here. Leave.”
“Johnny-dammit!” you snapped, touching my shoulder only to find my clothes damn near boiling.
“Fucking stay here if you want,” Tyler snapped, his laugh was condescending, “but I won’t fucking be around when you get back to the apartment. We’re done!” he spat as he stormed off.
“Are you okay?” I asked turning to look at you as soon as he was gone.
“I’m...I’m fine, I’m so sorry...you shouldn’t have had to...fuck!” you winced as clenched your fists, because you forgot all about the burn on your hand.
“Shit! Lets get you inside and wrap that up, okay?”
“No...you go back to the party!” you sobbed as you tried to fight back your tears. “You don’t have to-”
“Hey, lets get you inside, get this wrapped up, and have a few drinks, okay?”
“They’re so many people here to see you-”
“Who gives a shit?” I smirked which gained a small giggle from you. “I have something more important to take care of right now.”
You cried for hours that night and it broke my heart. You hide everything so well, all for the sake of a paycheck, that I sometimes forgot how much you had going on in your life. I forgot about the pain you hid in order to keep your head on straight, the stress you cried yourself to sleep over at night, and the anger you pushed aside so you wouldn’t lose yourself in it.
You make it so easy for people to forget, because you don’t want to inconvenience anyone. You don’t want to feel like you’re a burden, because so many people in your life have made you feel like one. I held you for hours, calmed you down, and convinced you to stay in my room that night. Of course, you protested (not wanting to put me out), but I eventually got you to agree when I lied and told you I usually sleep on the sofa anyway.
I didn’t want you crying all alone in your apartment, and if that asshole would’ve been there when you got home, someone was definitely going to get hurt.
And it wouldn’t have been you or me.
From that day on, I found reasons to be around you. Whether it was keeping you company when you stayed too late, or annoying you until you’d agree to go with me to get lunch.
I don’t know why I was so shocked by how funny you were, but you never failed to make me laugh. Whether it was an offhanded comment, your horrible impersonations of reporters who did stories on the Fantastic Four, or you singing some song you loved off-key, you constantly kept me laughing. You didn’t make a big fuss or catch an attitude when people would crowd around and ask for pictures and autographs, you just stood off to the side and waited for me, always asking if I was okay after all was said and done.
“Why wouldn’t I be okay?” I scoffed as we got back to the building.
“I know that you love all of the attention that comes with all of this,” you said with that smart-ass smirk of yours, “but I also know that everyone has a limit. It’s a lot to be in the public eye all the time and, on top of that, you’re a superhero. I know how loud it can get in ones brain and I just wanna make sure that you’re okay. You know you don’t have to hide from me,” you smiled up at me, with those big beautiful eyes of yours.
Of course I had to hide from you. Everyone else could see what was happening, except you. I went from wanting to be in your space to needing it. You calmed me, as lame as that sounds. That ego of mine, that always seems to grow by the second, always seemed to come back down to earth when I was around you.
“Johnny, just tell her you like her,” Susan smiled one day when she caught me staring at you from the living area.
“Yeah, I don’t think so.”
“Why not?”
“Cause women like her don’t go for guys like me. She’s too smart for me.”
“I’m sorry, do my ears deceive me? Johnny Storm thinks someone is too good for him?” Ben laughed as he made his way down the hall.
“You don’t have any fucking ears,” I scowled with an eye roll.
“Just tell her, kid. She probably feels the same way-”
“No, she doesn’t. She couldn’t.”
“She spends a lot of time with you for someone who doesn’t feel the same,” Sue encouraged.
“It’s better this way-”
“Just got off the phone with, Stark,” Reed interrupted as he rushed into the hallway, “he and Bruce have discovered a cosmic disturbance and it’s headed...did I miss something? Why are we all looking at Y/N? Is she okay?”
“This is the guy you chose to spend forever with?” I asked Sue with a cocked eyebrow.
“Trust me, I question it sometimes too,” she muttered with an eye roll.
“What am I missing?!”
“Just let it go, buddy,” Ben laughed, “what’s wrong with the world this time?”
After that, I did my best to stay away. It would’ve been best for everyone. I don’t know how to do relationships, and you deserve someone who isn’t emotionally stunted.
At least, that’s what I told myself.
“Did I do something wrong?” you asked one day as you cautiously approached the kitchen.
“What? No. Why would you think that?”
“You just...you seem far away. You don’t come and visit me, we don’t get lunch together anymore, you don’t stay with me after work anymore...”
“You’re perfect,” I sighed, hating how much pain was in your eyes, “I just figured I was becoming a distraction for you. Plus, I know there have been some rumors that we’re dating circling around, and I don’t want you getting hassled.”
“That’s outside. Even in here, you avoid me like the plague. I don’t know, I just feel like we haven’t spent time together in forever.”
“I’ve just had a lot on my mind. There’s a lot going on.”
“Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I don’t wanna bother you with it.”
“Johnny, if there’s something I did-”
“It’s not you, sweetheart. I promise.”
God, I hated how sad you looked and I hated that I was the reason for it, but I really felt like it would be for the best. For once, I was trying my hardest not to be selfish. I buried myself in as much work as I could, I went back to dating random models and socialites, and I did my best to avoid you.
“You’re a real asshole, Johnny,” Susan scolded as she made her way into my room.
“Aren’t you supposed to knock before you start harassing someone?”
“Johnny, you’re breaking Y/N’s heart!”
“Stop being so dramatic. I’m sure she’s fine-”
“Then why did I just catch her crying in the research office?”
“Susan-”
“What the hell is wrong with you? You spent every waking moment with her, brought her flowers, her favorite foods, stayed late with her every chance you got, and now? Now, you’re back to hooking up with the same airheads and getting into dead end relationships!”
“Susan-”
“You finally found someone perfect for you and you’re just letting her go? For what? Because you refuse-”
“SUSAN!” I snapped, tired of hearing all of the wrong reasons I’m staying away. “Just stay out of it.”
“What am I missing here, Johnny?”
“It’s just better this way. She’s better off this way. Whatever she thinks she feels for me will go away.”
“Johnny-”
“Just stay out of it, Susan, and close the door on your way out.”
I could tell by the way her eye was twitching that she wanted to say more, but just nodded, before leaving and slamming my door shut.
It’s not like it wasn’t hurting me too, but I didn’t do relationships. I never knew how. I didn’t want my first real attempt to be with you, fuck it up, then lose you forever and all together.
You’re entirely too important to me, and if we’re going to be together, I want it to be forever.
So, I pretended to not feel your longing gaze on me when I would walk by, pretended that I didn’t hear quiet sobs at night when you thought we were all off doing something else, and I pretended that I wasn’t the loneliest I’d ever been in my life.
In response to all of the hell I brought upon myself, I was more irritated than usual, more times than not I ignored Reed and did what I thought was best (everyone loved that), I went to pointless parties with empty headed people, and I kept looking for comfort in women whose names I didn’t care to remember.
No, it wasn’t the best solution, but what else could I do? As much as I was pissing everyone else off, they didn’t say anything. Everything was fine until I saw you on that dance floor.
“Those things will kill you,” I smirked, coming up behind you outside as I snapped my fingers and made a small flame appear.
“Mr. Storm!” you gasped as you almost dropped it. “I...I didn’t know you were here.”
“Mr. Storm? Really?” I scoffed as you lit your cigarette with the flame I made you. “When have I ever wanted you to call me that?”
“Things are different now...” you trailed off before you took a drag of your cigarette.
“When did you start that?” I questioned, nodding towards the cigarette.
“Um two months ago? Maybe three, I’m not sure.”
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing really, just some shit with my siblings, it’s fine. You should get back to your date-”
“She can wait. What’s going on?”
“Mr. Storm-”
“Stop calling me that.”
“No, it’s better if I don’t. I got too comfortable before-”
“No, you didn’t.”
“Yes, I did. I don’t know, I thought we were friends-”
“We are friends. You’re my best friend.”
“Best friends don’t just randomly start ignoring each other.”
“I’m sorry. I was going through something and I didn’t know how to talk about it. I’m back though. I miss you.”
“Mr. Storm-”
“Sweetheart, please.”
“Johnny...that really hurt. You just left and you didn’t-”
“I really am sorry, sweetheart. I won’t do it again.”
“I should get back inside,” you sighed as you dropped your cigarette and stomped on it.
“JOHNNY! OVER HERE!” a photographer yelled as he started snapping away.
“Fucks sake-”
“It’s fine, I’ll head back inside-”
“Let me take you back to-”
“ARE YOU TWO BACK ON?!” another photographer yelled, “WHAT’S HER NAME?!”
“Lets get you out of here,” I growled as I hugged you close, covered your face, and got us a cab.
Once we got inside, you didn’t let me go, and it tugged at my heart more than I thought it would.
“I really missed you, Johnny.”
“I know, I missed you too, babe.”
“Don’t leave me again, please.”
“I promise I won’t.”
From that day on, we went back to how we were almost instantly. You even started inviting me over to your place. Once again, everyone was pushing me to ask you out, but being apart of your life again was more than enough for me. I stopped going out so much, my attitude went back normal (which according to Ben wasn’t much better), and stopped partying (which made Sue happy).
Every night that I had those feelings, I took care of it myself, your name softly leaving my lips every time. If all I could do was want you, that was fine by me. I still didn’t trust myself with you and I had no intention of fucking things up again.
At least, that’s what I told myself at the time. Then, two months ago, I ruined everything.
“Why are you still working?” I pouted as I poked my head inside your office.
“Because there’s still work to be done,” you giggled, not even looking up from the screen.
“It’s 11:30 on a Friday. You know you’ll come in tomorrow and finish up-”
“Maybe I’ll take tomorrow off, you never know.”
“Yeah, and do what?” I smirked as you shook your head.
God, you were so damn cute when you got flustered.
“I don’t know. Go to Ithaca and walk down a waterfall.”
“What the hell?”
“You can! I’ve done it before!”
“You’ll have to take me one day,” I laughed, “c’mon, close up shop and lets go.”
“Go where, Johnny? I don’t feel like going to a club, or a bar.”
“I’ll order us some food, we’ll have some drinks, and we’ll watch a movie.”
“We can do that any day.”
“Yes, but I want to do it today. So,” I started as I pushed myself off the door frame, “lets turn all this bullshit off and decide on dinner.”
“Johnny!” you laughed as I pulled you out of your seat.
“You know you’d rather be hanging out with me anyway.”
“You’re nothing but trouble,” you giggled.
“It’s your favorite thing about me.”
Everything was going fine. We ended up getting Chinese food, drinks were flowing, the conversation was great, and we ended up watching the ‘Philadelphia Story’.
At some point, you ended up in my lap, and I was holding you as if I’d never let you go. Yeah, we’d been drinking, but I should’ve known better than to let it get that far in the first damn place.
“Don’t you want that, Johnny?” you softly slurred as you laid your head on my shoulder.
“What? A bunch of tricks and schemes, and a failed wedding?” I laughed, just as drunk as you were as I brushed your hair out of your face.
“No! To rediscover your true love and make it work!”
“Is that you want?”
“I think I just want to find my true love,” you chuckled as your arms snaked up and around my neck.
You felt like home.
“What about you?” you asked softly.
“What about me?”
“What do you want in a soulmate? What are you looking for?”
“I don’t think I’m soulmate material.”
“Of course you are! Everyone is,” you promised sympathetically as one of your hands cupped my cheek.
I should’ve stopped it right then and there, but between the alcohol coursing through my veins and how bad I’ve needed you, I couldn’t have pumped the breaks if I’d wanted to.
“What would I want in a soulmate? Someone like you, I guess.”
“Someone like me?”
“You’re perfect,” I confessed softly as I met your soft gaze.
God, you looked so beautiful. When didn’t you?
“Johnny, you and I both know-”
“You’ve been everything to me for the longest time. If I were looking for someone to spend forever with, it would be you,” I admitted as I tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear.
In the blink of an eye, your lips were on mine and it felt like heaven. Everything that I had day dreamed of and imagined, came to life in that moment. When your fingers found their way into my hair, I did nothing to stop them. Even with how tight you were gripping my hair, it was still the closest to heaven that I’d ever felt.
“Y/N,” I moaned as you straddled me.
I had every intention to tell you to stop, but it just felt too damn good. Imagine your favorite dream or fantasy finally becoming real.
This was better than that.
“I’ve wanted you for so damn long,” I whispered as I started to trail kissing along the column of your neck. “I’ve needed you.”
“I’m all yours,” you whimpered as your hands traveled down to the hem of my shirt, “I’ve always been yours.”
You broke away for just a second to take my shirt off, and the whimper that left your mouth had me smirking. It was nice to know that you liked what you saw. Once again, somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew I should’ve stopped, but the thought alone was too much for me. Instead, I reached for your panties and ripped them off, having to remind myself not to get too excited.
“Johnny,” you whined, “thought about having you like this for so long!”
“Fuck,” I growled into your neck, trying not to get too rough when I bit your neck “you fucked this perfect little cunt thinking about me?”
“So many fucking times!” you confessed with a moan as you ground yourself against me.
There was no way I was stopping.
“Lift those arms, baby. Gotta get this fucking shirt off. I need to see all of you,” I begged with a husk.
And that’s when everything changed.
“No...no, no! What the fuck am I doing?!” you questioned as mortification showed all over your face.
“What’s wrong?”
“This is...this is all wrong! Fuck, I’m so sorry,” you almost sobbed as you got off of me. “Fuck!”
“Y/N-”
“I’m so sorry, Johnny. I have to go,” you sobbed before you ran out of my room.
Since that night, you’ve avoided me like the plague and it’s not like I can be mad at you. I never planned on it going that far, and if it were to ever go that far, I wanted us both to be sober. I can only imagine that you ran off because you didn’t want to be just another trinket.
Another trophy fuck.
Every time I tried to talk about it, you had an excuse not to. Sometimes it was work, other times it had to do with your friends, and sometimes you just told the truth and told me you didn’t wanna talk about it.
I tried to think of a way to make it up to you, but nothing felt right. Flowers felt too small, your favorite food felt like a cop out, and there was no way in hell that you were gonna wanna be alone with me again.I wanted to do something for Halloween, since I know it’s your favorite holiday, but I couldn’t think of anything you’d want to do with me. So, that just left Christmas.
“Sue, why don’t you throw a Christmas party?” I suggested nonchalantly as I sauntered into her office.
“This wouldn’t have anything to do with Y/N not speaking to you, would it?”
“She has nothing to do with this. She and I are just fine-”
“You’re a shitty liar when it comes to me, Johnny. So, don’t try it.”
“I just thought it would be nice. We’re invited to every party, but we’ve never thrown one ourselves.”
There was no way in hell that I was about to fess up and say this was all for you. The last thing I needed was everyone giving me unsolicited advice.
“I’m not buying it, but you make a good point,” she sighed as she sat back in her chair. “I’ll talk to Reed about it-”
“You’re not gonna let him be in charge, right?”
“Just because I’m in love with the man, doesn’t mean I’d leave him in charge of any social event,” she scowled and I chuckled.
“Thank you, Sue. I mean it.”
“Whatever is going on between you two will work itself out,” she promised with a reassuring smile.
I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard on anything in my life, or been so damn stressed. I made sure to have all of your favorite foods on the menu, your favorite deserts, and your favorite drinks. I’m more than sure I annoyed the hell out of Sue, but I didn’t give a damn. As long as everything was set up how you would like it, I didn’t care who I pissed off.
Now, everyone is here except for you. Going to see you won’t help anything, but even if you don’t forgive me, I at least want you to enjoy a party that was built around you.
“Johnny, standing in a corner and pouting won’t help anything,” Susan sighs coming up next to me.
“This is her favorite song,” I mutter as ‘Silent Night’ starts playing.
“Is that why three different versions of it are on the playlist?”
“I wanna make sure she hears it.”
“It’s gonna be okay.”
“She’s still not here, Sue. Even if she doesn’t wanna see me...they’re a ton of people here and she’s still not here.”
“What happened?”
“It doesn’t matter.” “Johnny-”
“Just drop it, Sue.”
“Well, give it time. I went to see her and, while I can tell that she’s torn, I think she’s going to show up.”
“How are you so sure?”
“I can just tell. When something is right, it just works out,” she smiles before turning her attention back to the crowd, “Natasha! Bruce! I’m so happy you were able to make it!” she beams before walking off.
I pray that she’s right, because I don’t know what took me so long to realize that you’re the only person I’ll ever want to commit to. I know that I can be a real pain in the ass and difficult, but I’m willing to work on myself if it means that I can have forever with you.
I’m willing to do any and everything if it means I can make you mine.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
You’d be lying if you said you weren’t impressed with the party. All of your favorite foods, you’re more than sure you’ve heard at least four different versions of ‘Silent Night’, every drink option that you love...
It has to be Johnny.
God, why did that night have to happen? Where the hell did your self control go? No, you don’t think Johnny would ever intentionally hurt you, but you also know that Johnny is shit with commitment. It’s not like the man doesn’t try, but you also know that the idea of him being with one person forever terrifies him.
However, that doesn’t change the fact that you miss him so damn much.
You came into the party with the intention of staying out of sight and out of mind, but Ben was in a good mood and pulled you into a conversation about latest research you were helping Reed with until Alicia pulled him away. You tried to get back to your corner of solitude, but somehow, you found everyone wanting to talk to you.
Unbeknownst to you, Reed and Sue had been talking you up. Telling everyone how much they appreciate all the hard work you do, how committed you are to your work, and how your attitude always brightens the mood, no matter how bleak things may seem.
Now, you’re being asked left and right if you’re willing to split your time, if you have any friends that are just as hard working as you, and where you studied Science at (in hopes of finding someone just as dedicated as you). As flattered as you are, you just want to stay in a corner by yourself, quietly scanning the room for Johnny (and whoever he brought as a date), and make sure that he’s happy. For as heartbroken as you’ve been for the last two months, that doesn’t mean you don’t want to see him happy.
Even if it is with someone else.
Sure, you could go and talk to him and put an end to all of this, but that would mean facing him, and you’re not ready for that just yet. Yes, you were both drunk and got swept away, but you don’t know how to handle it the way you think you should yet. The fact of the matter is: you love Johnny Storm. You have been for a while and you had been doing such a good job at hiding it. You’d seen the type of women Johnny fooled around with, and you knew you’d never live up to those standards. Yeah, he remember what he said that night, but he was also drunk and horny. No, he’s not a bad guy, but you’ve seen him play women before by drawing it out even though it was obvious to everyone else that he had no intention of sticking around. You’d like to believe that you were different, but once again, he was drunk and horny.
Accidents happen all the time.
However, you’ve been asking yourself the same question over and over again since the whole thing happened: if you could take any of it back, would you? You come to the same answer every time.
Hell no.
Having some of Johnny was better than having none of him, even if it was only for a moment. So, you told yourself that the next time you see Johnny, you’re going to apologize for your actions, promise him it’ll never happen again, and hope that you two can go back to the way things were.
At least that’s what you keep telling yourself.
After a few more uncomfortable conversations, you’re finally able to grab yourself a drink and make your way back into a corner. It seems silly to be in a corner of a party that seems to be catered around the things you love, but you just feel safer. Being in that room full of high profile diplomats and superheros just doesn’t feel right alone. It won’t feel okay unless Johnny is by your side.
“Why don’t you ever come to any of the parties?” Johnny asked you as he met you outside of your apartment complex. “You’re always invited.”
“Those parties are the last place I belong,” you scoffed as you put on the sunglasses he gifted you last week.
He told he got them for you because he was tired of you blocking out the sun with frames that didn’t suit your face.
“Why do you say that?’
“Cause that’s not me...it’s you,” you motioned towards him.
“What the hell does that mean?”
“You constantly save the world, and you’re ‘Mr. Personality’. That whole thing is your scene, not mine.”
“You’ve been huge help on all of those missions-”
“I’m a behind the scenes kind of woman, Johnny.”
“You don’t have to be. You could go with me,” he offered and you rolled your eyes.
“It’s all fun and games until you leave me for some model-”
“You know better than that, sweetheart. I wouldn’t leave you alone in a crowd, especially when I know how uncomfortable it’d make you.”
“You’d wanna be seen with me over some shiny model?”
“You’d wanna be seen with me over some fuckin’ book about space and atoms?” he questioned with a cocked eyebrow and a smirk as you let out a full bodied laugh. “Why wouldn’t I wanna be seen with you?”
“I’m not the kind of woman you’re ever seen with.”
“That’s because the only time you hangout with me is when we hangout for lunch.”
“When else can we hangout? You’re always busy or fucking.”
“We can hangout whenever you want, just say the word.”
“Yeah okay.”
“I mean it, tell me when you want to hangout and we will.”
“I wouldn’t even know what to do.”
“What are you doing today?”
“Lunch with you and then I was gonna do some more research on-”
“It’s your day off!”
“There’s always more work to be-”
“Yeah no, we’re hanging out. Your schedule has just been cleared. I know exactly what we’re gonna do,” he smirked as he pulled you along with him.
“Johnny-”
“Trust me!”
Usually, you hate Summer. You don’t like the beaches in New York, so there’s never one to go to. Sure, you can go to Jersey, but it’s always crowded and such a hassle to get to that, by the time you get there, you’re not even in the mood to do anything anymore. So, you usually stay in and do your best to avoid the heat, which is impossible because the city is always filled with too many people.
Summer hadn’t been something you’d enjoyed in a while.
However, that day that you spent with Johnny was one of the best days you’d ever had with him. He took you to one his favorite sports bars, spoiled you just a bit with new glasses and a necklace that he saw you eyeing while you waited for him to get off the phone with Reed, took you to his favorite casual restaurant for lunch, took you to the MET (you couldn’t tell but it made his heart so full to see you so happy), accompanied you on a stroll through Central Park, treated you to a movie, took you to dinner at Carmines (how he knew you’d always wanted to go is something you still don’t know), and ended the night with riding you around on his motorcycle (which only took about 20 minutes worth of convincing).
“See? I’m pretty fun to hangout with,” Johnny smirked as you both leaned against his bike, looking out at the view from the Brooklyn Bridge.
“I had the best day I’ve had in a while,” you smiled, laying your head on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry about some of the hell we had to deal with today. The paparazzi and the fans-”
“It wasn’t terrible,” you shrugged. “Yeah, I was completely out of my comfort zone, but I felt safe with you.”
“Yeah, hanging with The Torch has the effect,” he said smugly and you burst out laughing.
“Never refer to yourself that way around me ever again,” you breathed once you finally caught your breath. “It has nothing to do with you being ‘The Human Torch’. I just feel safe with you...I trust you. I always have.”
“Yeah? Enough to go to one of these parties with me?”
“I will go to a party with you, I promise,” you giggled.
“Ready for me to take you home?”
“Lets stay here just a little bit longer?” you begged softy.
“We can do whatever you want, sweetheart.”
You wish you could just go back to that night. Everything was simple, and the both of you were so happy. Now, it’s all a fucking mess.
“Hey,” a familiar voice says softly from behind you. A voice you’ve missed more than you’ll ever be able to put into words.
You told yourself that you’d be gracious about the whole thing that you’d talk to him like an adult. Yet, the second you feel his breath on the back of your neck, you take off running like a deer in the headlights.
In fucking heels no less.
“Y/N! Please!” Johnny yells running after you.
Why are you running? There’s literally no reason to. It’s not like any crimes were committed and you didn’t murder anyone. All you did was almost completely give yourself to the one person your heart burns for.
No big deal.
You’re quick to get inside your office and start pacing, taking deep breaths as you try and calm your nerves. Why can’t you calm down? You can do this! You’ve talked to Johnny about so many things that were much more difficult than this, so what is the problem? You just want him back in your life, so you need to stop hiding from him (literally), and grow up.
“Wh...when the fuck did you...become a fast...fast runner?” Johnny breaths as he leans against your door.
“I’m sorry...” you mumble, toying with fingers and looking at your feet.
“Can you please talk to me? This is insane! It doesn’t have to be like this!”
“I know and I’m sorry, I really am. I’ve been wanting to talk to you about everything, but its turning out to be a lot harder than I thought.”
“Why? Yes, things got...heated, but we’ve always been able to-”
“We’ve never even kissed before, Johnny. That night...it’s not the same.”
“We’ve talked about more complicated things than almost hooking-”
“Johnny, I love you. I am so in love with you and I...I had planned on keeping it to myself, because you don’t do relationships, and that’s fine! I was fine with how we were, but then we kissed and said things...my panties came off...I’ve been wanting to talk to you, but it’s hard, because now you know. I made the first move, I said what I said...I wanted to talk to you, but I just couldn’t be around you yet,” you finish softly.
Wow, that came out a lot easier than you expected.
Since he isn’t responding you keep going, “I’m happy to just be your friend, Johnny. You’re always going to be my best friend, but I know we can’t be together, and I can’t take seeing you with other women yet and-”
“Why not?”
“Why not what? Why can’t I take seeing you with other women? Johnny, I just told you I’m in love with you-”
“No, why can’t we be together?”
“Is that a joke? You don’t-”
“I can-”
“Johnny-”
“For you, I can do anything,” he promises sincerely as you finally meet his gaze.
“Lets not do this-”
“I love you, Y/N. I love you and I have for a while now. I’ve had a crush on you since I first saw you, and the more I got to know you, the more all of it spiraled out of control. Why do you think I stayed away for those four months? I was trying to get over and distance myself from you, because I didn’t want to fuck all of this up. I didn’t want to ruin your chances with someone else by breaking your heart. I really did my best to leave you alone, but I was miserable without you, which I think speaks volumes about how much I love you. Even with Raye, which we both know it’s because of me that didn’t work out, I wasn’t all that broken up about it. Yeah, I hated that I hurt her, but you saw how quickly I bounced back from that. I can’t bounce back from you, Y/N. I can’t and I don’t want to.”
“Johnny-”
“I’m loneliest when I’m without you, I’m constantly in a shitty mood when we’re not speaking, whenever I’m out fighting to save the world I’m only thinking of saving you, your laugh is my favorite sound in the world, I listen to your voicemails when we’re not talking because it’s the only thing that soothes me, your touch is what I crave more than anything else in the world, I’m lost when you’re not around...I am so insanely in love with you. I love you to the point that it hurts.”
“Johnny...”
“If you don’t want this, that’s fine, but I think you do. I think you want this as bad as I do,” he states softly as he makes his way over to you.
“You don’t...you don’t like relationships. You said so yourself that they’re just not for you because you don’t wanna be chained to someone-”
“That was before and it was stupid for me to say that. I don’t know, I just...I don’t feel like that with you, sweetheart. If you want me to stay away, I understand and I’ll do just that,” he promises softly as he stands in front of you.
“I...I didn’t say that,” you confess, looking down at your fingers.
Using his forefinger, he gently lifts your chin so your gaze is on him, “tell me what you want.”
“I want to believe that you want this, because it’s all I’ve been thinking about for a while and...I don’t believe you’d ever hurt me, but I know you, Johnny. I know...how you act and that commitment scares you and I don’t want to be-”
“I wouldn’t say anything if I wasn’t serious about this. Serious about us.”
“Johnny-”
“There’s no one on this planet, or the others for that matter, that I find more beautiful than you. No one gets me like you do, no one cares for me like you do, no one...loves me like you do, Y/N. I don’t want to be with anyone else, I don’t look at anyone else, and I’m never gonna love anyone the way I love you. You’re the only person I’ll ever want to commit to and that’ll never change.”
“Say it again,” you beg softly as he leans in closer.
“You’re the only person I’ll ever want to commit to,” he breathes softly, his face a mere few inches from yours, “and that’ll never change.”
Before you have a chance to think of an argument, his lips are on yours and you’re gone. Yes, you still have your fears and reservations, but you miss Johnny. You already missed him when you weren’t around, but now that you’ve kissed him and felt his hands all over you in that way, you crave it more than anything else in the world.
You crave him.
“Johnny,” you moan as he kisses down your neck.
In all honesty, you wanna tell him to stop, but you can’t seem to form the words or remember why. Instead, you wrap your legs around him as he picks you up and places you on your desk. What’s the point of stopping anyway? You believe him and it’s starting to become very clear that you two are no longer able to keep your hands to yourselves when along together.
“I fucking missed you,” Johnny growls, hiking up your skirt then ripping off your panties, “never letting you go again.” “Fuck!” you gasp at the feel of his thumb on your clit.
You’re more than sure the warmth flooding through your body has nothing to do with his power.
“So fucking wet already? We’ve barely gotten started,” he smirks teasing your cunt with his fingers.
“Pl...please,” you whimper softly, “dreamt of this for so long!”
“Tell me what you’ve dreamt of,” he coos as slowly sinks two fingers into your desperate and greedy cunt.
Right now, you love him just as much as you hate him for torturing you.
“Having...having you all to myself, loving me, pulling me...apart, oh my God!” you cry out at the feel of him curling his fingers. “John...Johnny please!”
“Tell me more,” he pushes, picking up his pace just a little, applying just a bit of pressure to clit, which only makes you cry out in pleasure as you start grinding yourself against his fingers. “You’re a fucking dream, babygirl. Tell me!”
“Fuck! I’ve thought about...oh Johnny,” you moan, lulling your head back as you feel a warm sensation on your clit, kicking shoes off and curling your toes.
“Never thought I’d ever have you like this, baby. So fucking perfect, baby. Gotta tell me more or I won’t let you cum, and I can tell just how bad you want to by the way this pussy is squeezing my fingers,” he chuckles, easily sliding in a third.
“Jesus!”
“No, just Johnny,” he teases as he picks up his pace. “C’mon sweetheart, be a good girl and tell me more!” “Aht! I’ve...I’ve been dreaming of you on your knees eating my pussy while fingering my ass, want...wanna taste you so fucking bad, Johnny!”
“Fuck,” he growls, no longer teasing you, and you can tell he’s desperate to give you whatever you want. “Keep going, babygirl!”
“Dreamt of you fucking me hard and fast, claiming and making me all yours! I wanna feel you so deep inside my pussy, baby!”
“Give it to me, sweetheart! Be a good girl and cum hard for me!”
Your body has been ready to obey anything Johnny has to say for years, so you’re not surprised that you squirt hard on his fingers as the words leave his mouth. You’d be embarrassed, but you’ve wanted this for so long that you just can’t be bothered to feel any shame. All the cards are laid on the table now, so he may as well see every side of you.
Not just the parts that are work appropriate.
Johnny grips your neck with his free hand before puling you upright and crashing his lips into yours, “who knew my perfect girl was so filthy?” he broods once you two break apart, still fucking you through your high.
“Need you, Johnny! Please!”
“I’m gonna take care of you, baby, I promise,” he smirks, removing his fingers and bringing them up to your lips, “open.”
Keeping your gaze on him, you open your mouth and stick your tongue, your pussy clenching around nothing at the feral growl that leaves his mouth.
“Suck ‘em clean, sweetheart,” he commands, as he gets down on his knees.
You feel his breath on your core when you remember, “not here!” you mumble around his fingers. “The cameras!”
You hear him mumble incoherent against your folds and you whine in pure want, needing one of you to come with a solution fast. Thankfully, Johnny’s on his feet almost instantly, taking your hand in his while he removes his fingers from your mouth, and pulls you along with him.
“Follow me, sweetheart,” he broods, practically jogging down the hall.
At least he’s just a desperate for you as you are for him.
He pulls you into the elevator with him, hits a button without even looking at it, before pinning you against the wall and kissing you passionately. One of his hands snakes its way up your skirt, and you moan into the kiss as he starts fucking you with two fingers.
“They’re cameras in here too,” you giggle with a breathy moan as he starts biting and sucking on your neck.
“A little making out in the elevator never hurt anyone,” he smirks before licking the spot he just bit.
“And how about getting fingered?”
“They can’t see that, sweetheart,” he whispers in your ear before biting the shell of it.
Johnny Storm is gonna be the death of you.
When the elevator finally arrives at the floor he selected, you whine in protest when he removes his fingers, and is pulling you out of the elevator. In almost no time at all, he has you pinned against his bedroom wall and is kicking his door closed before getting on his knees.
“You don’t know how much I’ve gotten off to the thought of eating this perfect little pussy, baby,” he groans before licking your clit.
This must be what heaven feels like.
“Oh my fuck...Johnny! Yes!” you cry out, running your fingers through his soft brown locks, gripping them tight before grinding your your pussy against his face.
He easily slides two fingers into your soaked cunt, curling them as they give you a warm sensation. When you feel his lips pulling on your clit, you lull your head back and hike your right leg over his shoulder, granting him better access to your greedy cunt so he can fuck you deeper. His free hand travels up your side, finding yours, and he entwines his fingers with yours.
The small gesture makes your flutter and fall in love even more.
“I love you so much...Johnny! Need to feel you, please!”
Maybe it’s because it’s Christmas, or maybe it’s because he’s just as desperate as you, but your pleas doesn’t fall on deaf ears. He starts licking and sucking on your clit with such ferocity, you won’t be surprised if the whole hears you as you yell his name, a euphoric cloud washing over you as you coat his fingers and lower half of his face with your desire, gaining a grunt of approval from him as he fucks you through your high.
“I will be back down here tonight,” he promises as he kisses his way up your body, unzipping your skirt and letting it fall freely to the ground, “ but right now, I wanna get lost inside of you.”
“Please,” you whisper once he’s on his feet again, unbuckling his belt as quickly as you can.
“You sure you want this, sweetheart?”
“Too late to turn back now, and I don’t want to. I love you and I want this with you, I want everything with you.”
“God, I’ve waited so long to hear you say that,” he smiles before crashing his lips into yours.
Clothes come off easily, and they’re no sounds other than the desperate and hungry kisses you both are giving one another. His skin is heated and his touches are soft and, for the moment, you can’t remember what the hell you were so afraid of. Being here with Johnny, like this, and having him all to yourself is all you’ve ever wanted. You know the fear will come back later when all is said and done, but with the way he looks at you, the way he holds you, and has always looked out for you, it’s hard to believe that he would ever hurt you.
It’s hard to believe that this isn’t meant to be.
“Lay back, baby,” you tell him breathlessly as you softly push him back, “I’m gonna take care of you tonight.”
“You are nothing like I imagined,” he smirks and you laugh softly.
“Is that good or bad?”
“So fucking good,” he broods as you dip down lick the tip of his heated length. “Fuck,” he sighs as he grips the sheets.
“Just relax, baby. Let your good girl make you feel good.”
No, giving Johnny Storm (aka the Human Fucking Torch) a blowjob probably isn’t your best interest, but you’ve dreamed about it too long to not do it.
You smooth your hand over his abs, your pussy clenching around nothing as you try and figure out how you got so lucky, while you’re hand strokes him in an attempt to prepare yourself for his size and length.
“Just relax,” you coo before finally getting your mouth on him, moaning in satisfaction at the taste of him.
“Shit! That’s it, babygirl! Fuck, just like that!” he moans as you start to take as much of him as you can.
Your movements are slow at first, taking more of him bit by bit as you relax your throat to accommodate him, falling in love with the way that you’re making squirm beneath you and breathe heavy. Once you’re finally able to fully accommodate him, you’re unable to to control yourself when you pick up your pace as your hand starts to play with his balls.
“FUCK Y/N!” he proclaims, eyes clenched shut as he tries to control himself.
You run your hand over his his abs in an attempt to calm him, but it’s useless because you’re too worked up yourself. You turn your gaze up towards him to find that his gaze on you is intense and heated. In fact, you’re more than sure you see a little orange tint around his eyes, and it only turns you on more to see how much you’re playing with fire.
Literally.
“Not gonna....fuck, I’m so....FUCK!” he exclaims, filling your mouth to the brim, bucking his hips a little as he fucks all of it into your mouth.
You ignore the desperate longing between your legs as you do your best to swallow everything he has to offer, wanting to make sure you don’t miss a single drop.
“You okay?” you smirk once you’ve cleaned him to your satisfaction.
“I need to be inside of you right now, get your ass on top of me,” he growls as you giggle.
“Tell me what you want and I’ll do it,” you promise as you straddle him, rocking your hips against his, your soaked lips dragging along his cock.
“I want you to do whatever you want...whatever will make you happy, sweetheart. I’m yours to use however you want,” he moans as his hands start to travel up your body.
“I want to make you as happy as you’ve always made me,” you moan, adjusting yourself so you can align him with your entrance. “I wanna show you just how much I love you...SHIT!” you cry out once you start to slide down on him.
You’ve never been so full and you’re not even half way down.
“Oh my GOD!” you whimper, loving the delicious burn of him stretching you. “Fuck!”
“Never had a cock this big before, sweetheart?” he questions with a cocky grin, with his mouth slightly agape.
“N-no, but...I can t-tell you’ve never been in a pussy t-this tight!” you moan, finally settling against his hips.”Tell me how good it feels baby,” you moan, pressing your hands against his chest, the hairs a welcome comfort as you dig your nails into his pecs.
“Fuck, best pussy I’ve ever been inside of,” groans as he grips your hips tight, the heat radiating from his hands sending you closer to release. “Thought having you like this to myself for so long, and God, you’re better than any fucking fantasy that I ever came up with...fuck! That’s it, baby!” he encourages as you pick up your pace, rolling your hips against him. “So fucking beautiful!”
“S-so fucking close!” you whine, clawing at his chest, finding that spot deep inside that only ever seemed to exist when you used your vibrator. “Aht, aht! YES!” you cry out, squirting hard as you try and ride out your high.
You’re only left in charge for a second before Johnny wraps an arm around yourself, and sits upright which only pushes him in further.
“FUCK!”
“You are the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen, did you know that?” he broods, gripping your hips before starting fucking into you relentlessly.
“Johnny! Please...feels too good!”
“I’ve been watching you for so long, imagining what it would be like to be worthy of you...your love...fuck, the way this cunt squeezes me!”
“Never felt this good!”
“Gonna spend all night showing you just how much I love you...how much I’ve needed you,” he mumbles into your chest, before taking one of your nipples into his mouth and licking it.
“Fuck!” you gasp, running your hands through his hair as you try to hold on, still tying to recover from the last orgasm.
His tongue is deliciously vicious against your nipple, showing no mercy at your desperate whimpers and pleas, not even when tears start forming in your eyes. You’ve never felt this good in your life, and while you’re more than sure you’ll be sore tomorrow, it’ll be more than worth it. You’ve been waiting for this forever and there’s nothing that could make you regret it.
You’ll never regret giving all of yourself to him.
“Mmm Johnny! Too much!”
“I know you can give me more,” he encourages with a husk, looking up to see you in your blissed out state. “You’re fucking gorgeous,” he groans, his skin getting just a bit hotter, sending you over another euphoric waterfall.
At some point, you’re going to need to remember to invest in aloe.
“Ya know, I don’t think my bed has ever been this wet,” he chuckles, before getting you on your back and starting to fuck into relentlessly. “I think I wanna make this a nightly thing,” he husks, entwining fingers with one of your hands, while the other is planted firmly by your head.
“Oh my GOD!”
“What do you think about that, babygirl? Hmm? Be my good girl during the day....my filthy, desperate little thing at night?”
“Johnny...” you sob, that knot in your core tightening again.
He dips down and whispers against your ear hotly, “I think that’s exactly how it should be. Cause you were made for me, just like I was made for you.”
You feel your legs start to tremble as another orgasm starts to build, and you truly wonder if you’ll be able to last the rest of the night after this one.
“C’mon babygirl, I need it. Please,” he rasps into the crook of your neck as his movements become erratic.
“Too much! I...I...FUCK!”
“Y/N!” he shouts as he fills you with his seed, you squirting on his cock, only soaking the bed even more.
As you fade out of consciousness, you try to remember if you’ve ever felt so full and loved in your life, and you’re pretty sure you haven’t.
“You okay, sweetheart?” you faintly hear him ask, and you only have enough energy to nod. “Did I take it too far for you?” he chuckles and you giggle.
“No baby, I just need a minute, “ you smile up at him. He dips down and starts peppering kisses all over your face and you start laughing, “don’t tell me that you’re a giant softie underneath that giant ego of yours.”
“You know it’s only for you. Its always only ever been for you,” he groans as he pulls out, before laying down beside you and pulling you close.
“And why is that, Johnny Storm?” you question as you lay your head on his chest, feeling secure and like you’re loved.
“Because I love you.”
“Say it again.”
“I love you,” he chuckles before kissing the top of your head.
“I don’t know if I should even bother giving you the actual Christmas gift I got you,” you smirk as you start to press soft kisses along his chest.
“You didn’t have to get me anything,” he sighs, and you can tell he’s getting worked up all over again.
“Hmm? Why’s that?” you ask, propping yourself up on one arm, while the other softly stokes his chest.
“Because,” he starts, cupping your cheek and stroking it gently, “you were all that I wanted, and it’s been that way for a long time now, Y/N. You were all that I had on my Christmas wish list.”

You walk through the double doors with a smile on your face because today is another day. You’re alive and that’s the best kind of day. You work for the local police department as their receptionist. You’re the first thing people see when they come in so you have to be on your best behavior.
You set your things down on your desk and quickly get settled in. Besides the Captain, you’re the first one in the building. Every officer that comes in, you greet them with a smile as you log into your computer.
“Hey, sweetheart,” Officer Wilson says when he comes in. He always calls you that since he's often told you how he thinks of you like a little sister. “How was your weekend?”
“Too short,” you chuckle. “Did Sarah get into that college?”
“Yeah, she got the acceptance letter yesterday.”
“Oh, I’m so happy for her!” you grin.
“Yeah, I’ll tell her to give you a call.”
Sam taps your desk twice and leaves to go to his own. A few more officers come in until the one you’ve been waiting for walks in confidently. Your heart starts to race because you have a huge crush on him. He kind of knows it but doesn't outright call you out on it.
“There she is,” Bucky smiles and leans on your desk.
“Officer Barnes, it’s good to see you.”
“Doll, you know you can call me Bucky.”
He knows exactly what those pet names do to you. After a night of drinking together, you let it slip that your kink is pet names, and doll happened to be your favorite. Like him, you won’t call him out on it.
“I know. How was your weekend?”
“Better if you were there with me,” he flirts.
“Oh, Bucky,” you chuckle nervously. “You don’t mean that.”
“Yeah, I do. I was wishing, ‘Man, don’t I wish Y/N was here with me? I guess I have to drink alone’.”
“You know what alcohol does to me.”
“Yeah, I do,” he smirks. “You look cute today. That dress compliments you.”
“A compliment. I might swoon,” you joke even though your cheeks are hot.
“As long as it’s in my arms, I don’t care.”
“Don’t you have a job to get to, Officer Barnes?”
“Yeah, but I’d rather stay here and talk to you.”
“You might get fired.”
“It’s worth it,” he winks. “Here’s your coffee.”
He sets your favorite coffee order next to your keyboard and walks away. That’s the extent of your relationship with Bucky. You two flirt constantly but nothing ever comes of it. It’s comfortable. Why leave something when you’re comfortable being there? Do you wish you were something more? Of course. Do you think he’s going to man up and take it to that next level? Not unless something threatening happened like him realizing if he doesn’t do it soon, he’d lose you.
Some of what your work includes is printing off documents for the other officers, inputting things into evidence before they get shipped off there, and sorting through the files regarding the people they have locked up in the holding cells or interrogation rooms. You already have a list of things to print out and file, but you look for Bucky’s name first.
After printing off what he needs, you get up and personally hand this to him. There is a mailbox for the officers that you’re supposed to put in, but you like visiting his desk. He has a picture of you and him printed out and placed next to his computer that you look at every time you visit.
“Here are the papers you asked for,” you smile.
“Thanks, doll,” he grins and grabs them from you, intentionally brushing his fingers against yours.
You go back to your desk to finish your work, and you come across two people who need stuff put into evidence. One of them sent it over a couple of hours ago, and the other one is from Bucky. You immediately click on his name to get what he needs first before looking at the other one.
“Now that is bullshit,” you hear from behind you.
You jump and turn to see Sam standing there with a half-smile on his face.
“What are you doing? You scared me!”
“I sent you evidence hours ago and Bucky sent you it just now, and he’s the one you pick first?”
“I--”
You don’t have any words for that.
“When are you two gonna fuck?”
“Sam Wilson!” you gasp.
“What? It’s a valid question. I should ask him that.”
“Don’t you dare!”
“I’m rooting for you two no matter how painful the slow burn is,” he chuckles and walks away.
It takes half an hour to get the idea of you and Bucky fucking for you to do your job right. Once you’re in the groove of things, the door opens and an attractive man walks in.
“Can I help you?” you ask with a smile.
“Yeah, I’m here for my brother. He’s in lock up.”
“Okay, what’s his name and date of birth?”
“James Farley. 04/05/1986.”
“Your name?”
“Brandon Farley.”
“Okay, I see your brother here. It looks like--”
“I’m sorry, but I have to tell you how beautiful you are.”
“Oh, thank you,” you blush.
“Are you seeing anyone?”
“No, but--”
“Great. Can I take you out?”
“You can see how this is inappropriate, right?”
“Yeah, but you like it,” he grins. “So, can I take you out?”
There’s a certain charm about him that you find endearing maybe because he reminds you of Bucky. Being put on the spot like that is enough to make you freeze up, so you say the one thing that won’t cause conflict.
“Yes.”
“Here’s my number.”
He grabs your hand and writes his number on it so that it won’t come off with one scrub.
“I have sticky notes!”
“This is better. Now you won’t lose it.”
“Go take a seat. Someone will be with you shortly to bring you to your brother.”
“Thanks,” he winks and walks to the waiting room.
You’re about to get up and wash off the number when you notice Bucky standing in the doorway that leads into the precinct.
“Did I hear that right?”
“What?”
“You have a date?”
“Yeah, he asked me out,” you stutter. Bucky looks pissed as if you just told him you killed someone. “Why do you look angry?”
“Nothing. No reason.”
Bucky walks off angrily leaving you confused. He avoids you like the plague for the rest of the day. He isn’t at his desk when you drop off paperwork, and he’s not there to walk you to your car when you get off. He’s supposed to get off an hour before you do, but he stays after not on the clock to make sure you get to your car safely.
This time, he didn’t.
The next day, Bucky is already at work when you arrive. There is no coffee on your desk, either, and you’re feeling guilty for accepting a date with someone else. Is that why he’s acting this way? Sam walks in drinking an energy drink when you stop him.
“Hey, what’s going on with Bucky?”
“You’re kidding, right?”
“No, what did I do?”
“You accepted a date from someone else.”
You knew it. Why is he bigging out?
“So?”
“Have you not been here for the past two years? You two flirt like crazy.”
“No, he’s just being friendly.”
“You won’t get it until you do,” Sam shakes his head and walks off.
The date with Brandon comes sooner than you hoped. He picks you up in a fancy car and takes you to a fancy restaurant that you could never afford. He smooth-talks the hostess to get him a table by the window so he can have a view while he eats. The waitress brings by a drinks menu but he already orders what you two are going to drink.
“Trust me, you’re going to love this,” he winks at you.
“Okay,” you say and fiddle with your fingers underneath the table. “You know what I do for work. What do you do for work?”
You shouldn’t have asked him that.
“I work in the telecommunications sector. You know that big building in the city? That’s mine. It’s funny. I got all my parents’ money when they died and instead of using that money for myself, I decided to invest in a small company that turned out to give me millions.” You open your mouth to speak but he continues talking. “Can you imagine that? This small company that wasn’t going to go anywhere if it weren't for me. I’m like their hero. They eventually sold their part to me, and I’ve been thriving ever since.”
Once he got to talking about his job, he hasn’t shut up about it since. He’s very arrogant and rude but that doesn’t seem to stop him. As soon as the drinks come, you greedily take yours and down it without caring what it is.
“Whoa, doll, calm down. I don’t need to haul you to the car at the end of the night. You should pace yourself.”
No one can call me that but Bucky. Oh, Bucky. You shouldn’t have said yes to this man. He only asked you out to hear himself talk. You want this date to end so you pretend to be interested in what he has to say. Even when the date is over and he’s driving you home, he won’t shut up. His voice mixed with alcohol is starting to make your head throb.
About halfway to your house, you see red and blue lights behind you.
This better not be him, you think to yourself. Brandon pulls the car over obediently and waits for the officer to approach him. You look through the mirror to see the outline of the officer and recognize it immediately. He better not. I swear to God… Instead of walking to the driver’s side door, Bucky walks over to your door and leans down so only you can see him.
“Step out of the vehicle, please.”
“No.”
Bucky takes a deep breath to calm himself down. He leans in so close that you can smell his delicious cologne. That makes your head spin.
“I’ll repeat myself. Step out of the car.”
“Or what? You’re gonna drag me out?”
“Don’t tempt me, doll,” he says so only you can hear it.
“Is there a problem, Officer?” Brandon asks.
“Yes. You have a busted taillight.”
“Fuck! You’ve got to be joking, sir.”
“No, sir, I’m not.”
“Shit. Officer, I can promise you I keep this car in the utmost pristine condition.”
“Not today, buddy. That’s a ticket.”
Bucky takes out his pad and writes Brandon a hefty ticket for a broken taillight you’re not sure is even broken.
“Fuck!” Brandon turns to you without guilt on his face. “Look, do you mind if I drop you off right here? Your house is only down the road. You can get there from here, right?”
Your mouth drops open in shock.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take her home,” Bucky offers.
“Thank you. I’ll call you.”
You don’t say anything as you get out of the car. Bucky walks you to the passenger side of his cruiser. You look at the taillights of Brandon’s car and notice they’re both working properly.
“What the fuck, Bucky?” you yell when he gets in the driver’s seat. “His taillights are broken! You can’t just do that. That’s illegal!”
“He’ll fight against it, and I’ll drop the charges,” he shrugs.
“You’re un-fucking-believable. We were actually having a good time,” you lie.
“No, you weren't,” he laughs.
“How do you know that?”
“It’s written all over your face. Your eyes don’t have the usual light.” Bucky pulls onto the road and heads in the direction of your house. “I don’t know why you would accept the date in the first place.”
“Because at least he had the fucking balls to ask me.”
That puts the entire car ride into a tense silence. He doesn’t say anything for the rest of the ride home. He pulls up to your place but instead of letting you get out first, he gets out and walks over to your side of the car. He opens the door but doesn't let you leave the car. He leans into the car, grabs your chin, and kisses you. You’re shocked but you won’t pull away from him. Both your lips move in harmony against one another, and he slides his tongue into your mouth to show you he means business.
“You’re not allowed to see other men.”
“Why not?” you ask, breathlessly.
“Because you’re mine now and I’m not gonna let you go.” This brings a smile to your face. He lets you get out, and when you pass by him, he taps your ass lightly. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Doll.”
Yes, you will.

-------------------------------------------------------
As she leaned against the railing of the porch, you noticed how the moonlight illuminated her porcelain skin. Even the moon knew she was beautiful. What you knew, was that she had thought that no one had noticed but in a house of Shield agents, spies, ex assassins and super soldiers, someone was bound to notice. But it seemed like you were the only one who did. Everyone else was enjoying the party. You always notice her. You watched as she tightened her cardigan around herself, the chill in the air taking a visible effect.
Politely removing Natasha's arm from yours, her eyebrow raised in question to your movement. You nodded your head to the window, pointing out the only other redhead at the party. Natasha grins and winks at you, subtly pushing you towards the front door. You feign annoyance with an eye roll but follow Nat's silent instruction.
As you manoeuvred your way through the crowd, a strong hand upon your shoulder stops you in your tracks. Luckily for you, the super soldier serum that Bucky was forced to inject into you, still poisons your veins, so the rough grip takes no effect on you. However, the serum doesn't stop the irksome voice that follows your pit stop.
"Have you seen Wanda? I've been looking for her everywhere," Simon asks, disappointed as he scanned the room. Not wanting to out her, you pointed in the opposite direction.
"I think I saw her head to the garage for more wine," you replied convincingly. A tight lipped smiled followed your answer and Simon disappears as quickly as he appeared. That was your cue to quickly head to the door, making sure to grab your coat on the way out.
As you step onto the porch, the crisp fall air fills your lungs with a new breath. But the sight of the red head, warms everything else in your body. Your silent steps bring you closer to the shivering witch, your eyes never straying from her face as she stares up at the stars. When you reach her, you place your coat over her shoulders.
"Thank you," she whispers. She turns to look at you, her eyes glistening from the star lit sky. She wraps your coat around herself and offers a small smile.
You swallow the lump in your throat, only just now noticing how nervous you are. You stay silent and instead offer your hand for her to take, which she does so instantly. You lead her off the porch, across the yard and to a seat that overlooks the acres of land that Clint and his family call home. The moonlight allows you to bask in the ambience of what a 'normal' life could look like. It's a beautiful sight. But nothing compared to the woman who takes a seat next to you, who still holds your hand. After a moment, Wanda speaks.
"I've always wanted this." She gestures to the view before you. "But I'm not sure that it's in the cards for me anymore."
"What do you mean?"
"I can't have a normal life like this. I'm not normal and I never will be. I can't have this," Wanda protests. You know she think she's a monster. You think of her as anything but. You can see the weight of the world weighing on her shoulders. You just wanted to help her carry it.
"Yes, you can," you assure her.
"How can you be sure?"
"Because you deserve it. Maybe more than any of us. I'm not normal either. I don't think I ever will be, but I know I also want this kind of life. Eventually. You've just got to reach out and take it." Wanda sighs sadly and your heart breaks for the woman who think she doesn't deserve good things. You spend the rest of your life trying to give her these things. If she let you.
"I tried to be normal. Do what normal people do. That's why I said yes to being Simon's date tonight. I just wanted to feel like a normal girl who was being asked out by a nice guy."
"But?" you ask cautiously.
"But he kissed me tonight. It just felt so wrong."
"Why?" You ask once again. Trying to hide your jealousy.
I haven't quite put my finger on the reason yet." Wanda answers teasingly. You don't notice her tone or the glint in her eye.
"Wanda. I know in my heart that you deserve this. All of it. You deserved to be kissed everywhere. In the corner of jazz clubs. On the shores of beaches with your toes dipped in sea. On the sidewalks of cities that show you in fall leaves. In the aisles of libraries, surrounded by the most beautiful literature. In the halls of art galleries, where the only thing more beautiful than the art is you. In the back rows of movie theatres that only feature black and white films. On the balconies of buildings in foreign countries. Sitting on the lap of the person you love., talking about anything and everything. But only with the right person," you blurted out, your eyes widening at your outburst.
"Who would be the right person then Y/N?" Wanda asked curiously, her eyes boring into the side of your head. You hadn't looked in the eye yet.
You shrugged in response, too nervous to talk. Wanda rose from her seat and let go of your hand. You mentally scold yourself for being so abrupt with her, not wanting to ever make her feel uncomfortable. She instead, took a place in your lap, her arms encasing around your shoulders. Before you could weakly protest, Wanda presses her lips softly against yours. You immediately brought your arms around her waist and brought her body closer to you. Sharing body heat with Wanda was an amazing feeling, but when you feel Wanda slide her tongue into your mouth, you'd happily give her all the warmth your body has to keep her in your arms. A soft moan from you makes Wanda pull away but you chase her lips. She breaks into a smile but asks you a question.
"Why haven't you told me yet?" she whispers into your mouth, her forehead resting against yours.
"Told you what?"
"That you're in love with me?" Your blood runs cold but only for a moment. Wanda somehow brings you closer without your lips touching. She's just looking for an honest answer. You sigh heavily, wanting to give her anything she asks for. You close your eyes when you feel her hot breath on your lips.
"I'm scared that you won't love me back. How did you know?" It's Wanda’s heart that breaks this time. She places her finger under your chin and makes you meet her eyes.
"That speech you just gave told me everything. Plus, you think you're subtle, but the lingering stares were no longer lingering. How long have you been in love with me?"
The first time we sparred, and you punched me in the face. I was a goner," you say with a giggle that Wanda shares with you. She kisses you quickly but thenpulls back with a frown.
"I need you to know that I'm not quite there yet. My feelings for you are true. But I just don't think I've allowed myself to explore them properly. You've always been so kind and caring towards me and that's when it started for me. But if you just give me some time and more of those kisses, I know it won't take me long. I'm still just trying to figure myself out, but I want you there when I do." You cup her cheek in response and feel her lean into it. Your stomach flips at the private moment you're sharing with her. Her stare is so intense that you know she's telling the truth.
“I’m not going anywhere,” you promise her. This wasn't what you were looking for when you joined her tonight. You just didn't want her to be alone. Wanda stands up from your lap and holds out her hand. You take it and intertwine your fingers together. She begins to lead you back to the house when she stops and turns back to you.
"Wait. What about you and Nat? I saw you two inside earlier. It looked like she was all over you," You just laugh at Wanda's insinuation, but she lightly slaps your arms. You hold your hands up in surrender.
"Me and Nat? No way. I was just holding her up because she's wasted."

Love Rediscovered
pairing: Miguel O'Hara x female reader
summary: old love being rekindle
a/n: ahhh I hope you like this!!!(i love him already sorry its short warnings: break up
Masterlist | ask
Tumblr media
Some time had passed since Miguel O'Hara and y/n had gone their separate ways. the breakup had left a mark on both of your hearts. But fate had a way of bringing them back together.
It was an autumn afternoon when Miguel spotted y/n by her favorite bookstore. His heart skipped a beat as memories flooded back, and he felt an overwhelming desire to make things right. He approached her cautiously, uncertainty flooded across his face.
"y/n?" he called out, his voice with a mix of nervousness and longing.
y/n turned, her eyes widening. "Miguel? Is that really you?"
Their eyes met, and at that moment, their shared history washed over them. Miguel's voice trembled as he spoke, his words filled with regret. "I've missed you, y/n."
y/n eyes welled up with tears, a mixture of pain and longing. "I've missed you too, Miguel. But there's so much hurt between us."
Miguel took a step closer. "I know we can't erase the past, but I believe we can fix what we lost. Let's talk, let's give ourselves a chance to make up for lost time."
Days turned into weeks, and Miguel and y/n dedicated themselves to healing the wounds of the past. In the midst of their efforts, moments of laughter and joy resurfaced, reminding them of what had drawn them together in the first place. They explored the city they once called their own, rekindling shared memories and creating new ones.

Hey so could you do some domestic headcanons with Maria (like what she does in her free time, if she likes to get up early, etc.)
Domesticity With Maria Hill
Tumblr media
Being the Deputy Director of SHIELD, Maria is guaranteed to have a crazy schedule. She works long hours and oftentimes, when she gets home, you’re already asleep. You insist on trying to wait up for her, but 9/10 times, that doesn’t end up happening.
Maria usually comes home to find you on the couch, the TV flashing, remote in your limp hand. Her heart aches at the site. You’re adorable, but she wishes you would just go to bed.
Maria has a routine. First, she slips the remote out of your hand and turns off the TV. Next the tidies up a bit if things are messy. Then, she’ll fold the blanket you have wrapped around you. Lastly, she’ll carry you to bed. Sometimes you stir and curl into her, other times you’re completely out.
Also, side note: you love Maria’s arms. She definitely has muscles and they’re very hot.
“You could crush me with your arms and I’d thank you”
On the rare occasion that she is home by a reasonable hour, you’re very giddy and that always puts a smile on Maria’s face. She loves seeing you happy.
On the weekends, the two of you usually have a lazy Saturday morning. It’s very hard to get either of you out of bed. You’ll be curled up with one another (Maria as the big spoon). She’ll run her hand through your hair.
If it’s raining…..you’re not going anywhere on Saturday. Saturday is a cozy, indoors day.
I feel like you and Maria would have a dog. Maria usually takes the dog out on walks in the early mornings and the two of you will walk the dog together after dinner.
Walks around the neighborhood with Maria are the best :)
Also, even if not everyone at SHIELD has met you, they all adore you. Maria talks about you a lot. They especially love when you bake homemade cookies or brownies and Maria brings them in (you give extra sweets to Natasha, of course).
You and Maria will also go to the gym together. She’s always spotting you, making sure you don’t get hurt. She’s very protective.
You love practicing different hair styles on Maria and she’ll indulge you. Oftentimes she’s sitting at the kitchen table doing paperwork and you’re sitting behind her on a counter, braiding her hair.
Also, you always insist on decorating for the holidays. Every single one. Your house is decked out. You can usually convince Maria to put up the decorations with you.
SHE IS SO ROMANTIC ON VALENTINE’S DAY. I’M TALKING ROSE PETALS EVERYWHERE AND CANDLE LIGHT DINNERS AND CHOCOLATES.
She is so charming and good at sweet talk and flustering you.
Maria is also usually waking up earlier than you in the morning. Before she heads off to work, she gives you a kiss on the cheek and you grunt sleepily in return.
If you’re being too stubborn about getting up, Maria will get the dog to jump on you and lick you all over your face.
Whenever Maria gets vacation time, you’re dragging her to the prettiest places. You’d be the planner among the two of you.
And whenever Maria’s away on missions, she always gets you a souvenir from wherever she is.
You guys tried to keep a plant once — didn’t go so well. You also got emotionally attached to the plant, which Maria didn’t really get.
The two of you have a lot of scrapbooks which you guys love reminiscing over glasses of wine.
I fully believe your house is so cozy all the damn time. Tons of sweaters and blankets. Lights are usually dimmed. It’s so nice.

I was just in a car crash but I figured I’d write a little mini fic inspired by the end of GotG vol 3 <3
(The part where Adam is watching everyone dance)
☆ ☆ ☆
Dancing Lesson
Tumblr media
Adam was sitting off to the side by himself when he felt a sudden tap on his shoulder.
“Hey, what are you doing all alone?” A girl smiled down at him as she asked him the question, and Adam felt something strange in his chest, like his heart forgot to beat.
He cleared his throat. “Well I’m not sure what’s going on? What is everyone doing?” Adam asked. He could see that people were moving and he could hear the sounds, but he hadn’t the slightest what was actually happening.
She covered her mouth as she laughed and Adam felt his heart do the thing again. “We’re celebrating! I suppose the mood is just high, with all of the children being rescued and everything seeming to be ok for now.”
He realized she had misunderstood, and rushed to clarify. “O-oh I meant that I didn’t know what they are doing…. physically? Why are they moving their bodies like that?” He looked up at her seeing her quizzical expression.
“The.. the uh? The dancing?” Her eyes widened and she gasped. Adam held back a chuckle at her comical expression. “Don’t tell me they don’t have dancing where you come from!!!!!”
He looked at her sheepishly. “I’m afraid not. The Sovereign don’t care much for celebrations.”
She gasped and pretended to faint. “Well that won’t do AT ALL!” She stopped and pondered him for a moment before continuing. “Alright, you’re coming with me.”
“Wait wha-“ Adam stuttered as he stumbled to his feet. He had just met this girl and she already felt comfortable enough with him to drag him places??
She looked back at him. “We’re dancing!!! I’m gonna teach you.”
As he watched her try and figure out how to go about teaching him he only had one thought.
This was it. This was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He wasn’t sure how he knew, but he knew he had all the time in the galaxy to figure it out.
