PERSONALITY + BACKGROUND

As a child Mitchell was extremely influenced by anime idols and cute idol groups alike. Going as far as performing his favorite songs and dances in school talent shows. However, his obsession with making the crowd feel "awe-inspired" he often used his UM to his advantage. This didn't do well with many of his teachers and other parents... so surprisingly enough Mitty had many detentions in their early years. This record left him in dim lights for group auditions. Mittys mindset got a bit skewed and began to think... I will just have to try harder to rule the crowd! Overtime their hope to inspire morphed into wanting the world to love him (through mostly any means).

Upon entering NRC Mitchell had begun seeking attention online and decided a "debut concert" was most necessary. After the entrance ceremony Mitty went back to the mirror chamber, set up his phone camera and began to perform one of his favorite routines! Thus started his online career! While he is not as popular as others, he does have a few hundred supporting him and in his mind that's the first step to his domination!

Personality wise, Mitty is pretty dense when it comes to anything besides his interests and doesn't take no for an answer. No literally it will go in one ear out the other. Despite this he does take everything surprisingly seriously, ok not rejection, but everything else! However compliments? He will grin from ear to ear, go red and just absoluetly adore you! He can be a bit clingy when he's like this, but he's just happy some one likes him. When it comes to friendship though... well he's not a terrible friend, but he does tend to only think of himself most of the time... at least he will buy you things to make it up to you;; Just don't ask him for emotional advice too much he really isn't good at it. Overall he's a bit of an annoying person, but his shy and bashful bursts at compliments may be something redeemable.

Academically he is average. He does amazing is music but that's about it, everything else is passing at least. He struggles with history most due to his disinterest in remembering about people who aren't his idols.

In his free time, Mitty practices dance and song covers from his favorite medias. Posting them as often as he records and of course running to Cater for help very often. If they're not doing that, he's grooming his feathers or sewing new outfits. Occasionally he will tour around campus and invade dorms to take photos in his newest creations as well as show them off.

Vil & Mitty : Mitty looks up to Vil and respect him so much! While he isnt into acting, Vils prowess and social media standing are impressive! Mitty is too busy fangirling and stuttering to speak to Vil casually. Vil doesn't seem to mind so long as it doesn't effect his work.

Cater & Mitty : Mitty joined the pop music club and immediately wanted to quit. It was quite contrary to what they expected. Cater and Kalim were quick to talk him into staying. Ever since, Cater has been a big help to Mitty in social media learning and Mitty may have taken to mimicking Caters speech online. Mitty says they're close friends, but Cater only see it as a casual friendship.

Riddle : Currently Mitty is trying to convince Riddle to form an idol duo. Riddle had been one of the first to "compliment" one of his dances, saying "Your dancing nice, however you are trespassing on Heartslaybl property!". Ever since, whenever Mitty visits Cater he doesn't hesitate to try and recruit the house warden. While Riddle does not hate him, he is often dumbfounded by Mittys inability to "read the atmosphere". It is not currently known why Mitty is obsessed beyond the nice comment.

oh dear lord it's been another year. 2024! can you believe it! i don't talk much on this blog because i have a tendency to talk too much, but it's my little new year's treat, so here we go.

RECAP

i started taking drawing "seriously" in December of 2020, starting to do studies and stuff, and each year since i've ramped it up more and more. this year, i did. a lot of studies. there's probably like at least 200 more in my folder now (not including the 300 days worth of gesture drawings i did), with things like painting, faces, feet, poses, etc. anything i was struggling with, i went right into studying it. my art has been mediocre for a pretty long time now, and it's only the past few months where i feel i'm starting to get the hang of it, which is exciting!

more importantly, i started posting a lot more on this blog. i really like documenting my progress, looking on where i was before and seeing how i've improved. everytime i draw some fanart, im like, oooghh i can't wait to show my (: followers (: !! lots of locked tomb art of course. i've been trying to nail the energy of the different characters, which is why i enjoy books so much, because you get a lot of creative control. drawing ianthe is my fav of course, cause she's my lil nasty, but also i enjoyed doing designs for characters i hadnt thought about before, like judith.

in addition to the locked tomb, we had some new fandoms that got brief moments in between iantheposting: Fear and Hunger, Postal, Faith The Unholy Trinity, and a couple of old ones too, like We Have Always Lived In The Castle and The Merciless.

i posted about 115 times this year, although most of those are shitposts LOL i love posting stuff on my blog and showing people my stuff <3

THE FUTURE

my plans? do more ianthe art, of course. ill be working on more studies, probably going to work on developing a style, and figuring out how to paint. i'd like to do more actually finished pieces, but let's be honest, it'll still be mostly shitpost doodles. i'd like to do more weird stuff. i've been messing around with some gore and NSFW near the end of the year, and it's fun to draw for me. i like idk art that evokes some type of emotion, especially discomfort, and so i find that type of art fun to do, so if you don't enjoy what i've done thus far in that direction, perhaps this isn't the blog for you. i really like horror media, and so i want to do some stuff like that too.

for specifics, i like western type art, a comic book-esque style i'd like to aim for. but i'd like it to be a little more. weird with it. i find comic books often draw all the characters the same, and make all the characters traditionally attractive, and that's boring to me so i'll have to work on finding a way to keep things weird, while also appealing in a graphic sense. the worst thing my art could be is bland and forgettable.

locked tomb wise... more tridentarii art. need to be really weird with it. i have lots of wips planned, like i have a whole page worth of just thumbnails, so i wanna get some of those done. also i had a few animatics i wanted to do. mostly stupid shit, once i learn how to do animatics, then we'll do actual serious ones. id also like to do more comics. i have some comics storyboarded out with my girlies, i like telling a story so, need practice on that. id also like to develop a way to consistently draw them, for convenience sakes, so i'm not fighting for my life every single time i draw these characters. oh and i wanna do some outfit stuff. i draw them in like. generic clothes everytime but i'd like to come up with a few actual outfit designs, that i can just reference back to. and, of course, more shitposts. lots of stupid shit in 2024 for sure. there was something else i wanted to say here but i can't remember.

ART

oki enough rambling, here's some IMAGES for yall to look at i know everyone loves to look at images.

began this year by warming up with gesture sketches (almost) every day. i started with 20 poses (30 seconds each), and then in november i was like. ugh my hands suck i need to get better at hands, so i switched to doing 10 hand sketches (60 seconds each). i want my art to be very energetic so it's important that i do these !!

anatomy studies of extremities because i'm flopping at those -_- ive gotten better with hands but they're still a struggle. i hate feet tho still

need to get my painting game up. i joined an art forum to get advice, and the biggest suggestion i got was working on my values, so i did various value studies. also lots of faces because my faces flop !!

random doodles to work on drawing from imagination. on my "sketchbook" pages, as i like to call them, i'm usually pretty loose and messy, since the point is just to be drawing so often these will suck, but that's fine. i don't think very much when i draw faces on here either so they end up being in my Instinctive Style i suppose you could say

ianthe wip. i was planning to do a few drawings based on the idea of her having Missing Arm nightmares, but the lineart was intimidating to me so i haven't worked on this one more yet /: also there was going to be a toontown gay homosexual toxic yuri comic that i was gonna put here with it but the page is way too long so umm guess that'll have to wait.

Doing this thing because I got blorbos on my mind

A - Current OTPs/OT3s etc.

It may not come as a surprise but I am absolutely rotting on PruMano at all times and have been doing so for basically a year now. It's beginning to melt into my personality and nothing can be done about it. Whenever I'm released from the iron grip of PruMano rotting I enjoy GerIta and FrUk like the normie that I am. The BTT are definitely getting together for threesomes when they're all single and I like them as well.

B - Pairing I initially didn't consider

This might shock you after reading the first bit but. PruMano. See I'm not new to this circus, I first watched Hetalia in 2015 but focused mostly on the Nordic 5 with SuFin and DenNor. This was before PruAus 9/11 (Hima suddenly announcing they're cousins) so I think I was on the PruAus rot.

Other than that I got a friend who I dragged into this hellhole (you know who you are) who has infected me with Frain and TurFra. I have some Thoughts about TurPru but uhh. let's leave that for now.

C - Ships I never liked and never will like

All the ones where there is an unbalanced power dynamic (age gaps, having interacted when one was a child and the other way older etc, former colonies and oppressive states, having a relationship that implies being related etc). I am a seasoned hater of these and I do my best to block anyone who as much as reblogs it. I do not care if it's "just fiction" you guys are weird and not in a good way xoxo

D - Ships I just can't get myself to like

Due to the aforementioned PruMano rot I just don't feel seriously interested in any other pairings I fear. Nothing against PruCan or LietPru for example, I am just so rotted on PruMano that it doesn't make me feel anything lol

I may just be the only person who has even considered TurPru and I have done it in the most unbearable fujoshi way possible </3

I wanna say this one?? Not actively so, I jumped ship to other things such as Love Live and JJBA in early 2019ish (Love Live even earlier in 2017), but even during my longer breaks from Hetalia I've always ended up rewatching it at some point or posting about it.

For Hetalia it's definitely been GerIta from day one. Do I even need to say anything? To me they're canon.

It's mostly anime series and TV shows I'd say, I do sometimes read but am a bit too busy to properly sit down and do so.

I think it would take less time to list the fandoms Tumblr HASN'T made me dislike tbh. I try to keep a tight knit circle for my own sanity and rarely interact with the fandom part of stuff apart from my own and my friend's contributions. Highly recommended btw.

Hi, happy Friday!

Serious transition related Q. As always, up to your discretion to answer.

You've talked a bit about passing/not passing and how people react to/assume your gender.

I just started T and I feel like its not unlikely I'll end up in a similar zone of trans masc. I dress flamboyantly and my presentation is fluid. I know what my medical transition goals are, but I've been mulling over the social parts for the past few weeks.

I'm also neurodivergant and trying to figure out, what social norms might change depending on how im perceived and will those changes be awkward uncomfy like when I do neurodivergant things in public, or will they put me in danger as more visibly trans, has been puzzling. I'm curious how differently assumed identities affect how people treat you? I feel like voice drop should help a lot with interactions with strangers, but I also have long hair and am not very tall etc. I'm used to being perceived as a 'wrong type' of woman and socialized that way. I want that to change but I honestly don't know what direction that'll go in.

If you have any thoughts or resources on the topic I'd really appreciate it.

Hmm I mean, it's a little hard to answer because obviously it'll be really individual and really dependant on your own environment.

Like my job is almost entirely queer in terms of staff so there's really no difference in how any gender or expression is interacted with socially. With patients I do sometimes struggle with being seen as younger than j am and not being taken seriously, which I honestly get madder about than any gender perception lol. My current friends/partners have always known I'm trans so there's been no change there either.

Out and about, I mostly still get seen as a weird, unattractive woman, which essentially makes you invisible--something I personally don't mind. At worst (so far) I'll get a doubletake or stink eye in the bathroom, or moved over to the "female" pat down line for a concert, and I'm non confrontational enough to shrug and take it bc what difference does it make. But I also live in a pretty LGBTQ frienfly city. I do stress out about how to dress when I travel, and try to go for a more distinctly "gay man" style which feels like the lesser possibility of getting the shit best out of me but not offending my own vanity (I'm an idiot)

IDK I dont really have advice, some days are easier than others and I'm figuring it out day by day too. Pick your battles, my usual mantra is "If I'm never going to see this person again, it's not worth correcting them on my name/pronouns" but I'm also a weenie IRL lol.

Who am I?

A little about me...

Call me Jae, or J! I am a k-pop fanboy in his 20's, specifically stanning BTS, Stray Kids and ATEEZ (though i'm a baby atiny, so please be patient lol). I love all things music, whether it be K-pop, alt, old rock or movie soundtracks, I love it! I love survival video games like Subnautica and The Forest, love old cheesy horror/slasher films, and I love collecting vinyl records. Obviously however, I have the biggest hyperfixiation being k-pop, specifically my favorite groups lol. Now as an adult man, its difficult to express my passion for these artists and their music, but hey, that's what the internet is for! I write as a hobby and as a passion project really, even having some of my own novel ideas in the works with original characters and plot. Ivy as a child originally was a angel, though not a normal one. He also was a vampire, due to his father genes which unfortunately ended up to sacrifice himself for his own family like his mother did too.

Ivy and destiny (his sister) ended up being orphans at the end but still could lived at the house hidden from others angels or well if it was necessary needed to hide the teeths by putting a mask.

Ivy had a little crush for Avery (oc by @asteix0 !!) They were childhood crushes for a while. That in a future they could be partners for the first time.

Until one day ivy and destiny ended being ejecuted by hanging them. Ended up being in the hell that was owned by X, in fear and lost of hopes. But also hurted the fact he couldn't see avery ever again.

X ended up adopting them, while they both were slowly becoming a demon already, which was in a very painful process.

Ivy at age 17-18 he ended up killing a angel letter with a scissors stabbing them 5 times due because they reminded him of avery. It was purely out impulsive and in pain, but inside of him he didn't and never had remorse after that.

In a future he ended up being the king of hell, replacing X after her death. Taking her role to his own, it was difficult managing something so big like that at first but at the end he could do it.

She is a fashion designer, works for nails painter and hair stylish. He is mostly a fashion designer due making dress, clothes etc. Is his passion is what he mostly likes about him

She have the biggest ego you could seen, you could insult him and he could win the idgaf war/J, but in seriousness do not understimate him

The relationship of avery and him.. well, theyre so sweetly. A relationship that at first it was just kids having tiny crushes that at the end they ended up being partners after being separated for some long time. At first avery didn't recognize him due because he was different. But now in a future they will be married ;)

Overall nothing V has done lately has been exciting to me. But that's okay. There's tons of BTS content I haven't watched.

Yeah same. I'm not really into fashion like that, and I don't think the shoots he has done are anything special. Yes, he is very attractive but I'm not freaking out like I did for the "JK for CK" or Yoongi's as-yet-undefined photos.

And there is sooooo much content, and sometimes ARMY'S are insanely aggressive with everything. As if you're less of a fan if you don't buy every magazine they feature on, or stream their music 24h/7 days a week (oh fuck, now that will be stuck in my brain forever. Again). I haven't really watched the D-Day concerts after the ones they streamed in theatres because I want to experience that with a friend who lives several hours away. And we're adults with jobs. So I feel you.

I was pretty neutral about most of the releases (except D-Day. I was fucking scared I'd hate it because I was expecting too much. And People pt2 wasn't quite living up to People imho. But damn what an album. Literal life changer), but they all just were so GOOD in unexpected ways. I only buy physical copies of the shit I care about, because I don't want to throw parts of my disposable income at stuff I won't ever look at or listen to. SMF pt2 made me order Face on the spot. I yes

Generally, what I want from music is to make me feel something. To fill that hollow void in my soul, be that through anger, love, sadness or joy. I want it to be somewhat interesting in its composition (that's the part of me trained in classical music) which is why I love Vibe or Take Two. Or, like you said, challenge something.

In that regard, Layover is a bit like Tae's photofolio: safe, uncomplicated and mostly an aesthetic.

(I sound so harsh and I'm both sorry and not? Yoongi and Taeyang talked about everyone around you turning into "yes-men". That no one really challenges them because they're famous. So maybe I'll collect some thoughts on...all this...and write a post. If I'm not tired af tonight lol. Adulting is stupid)

I don't think you're being harsh. BTS are artists so criticizing their art is part of taking them seriously as artists and not just mindlessly streaming and consuming their content.

I agree that V's photoshoots weren't to my taste. They're all pretty similar, and he either wears Celine and/or old men clothing. Like, his poses, the photography, the styling, the vibe, are so similar between photoshoots that it's not exciting and V's looks don't do anything for me. Sometimes I think he's so handsome, but most of the time I don't notice it. He's handsome of course, but I'm meh about it.

I also agree that the songs are pretty safe. Jin's debut was pretty safe but it wasn't really a debut, so it doesn't count. RM and Suga didn't really shock me or show a whole new side of theirs with their albums, but RM has been challenging himself and us with his collabs, like Sexy Nukim and Smoke Sprite, and the way he promoted his album was very original and cool; Suga released two fire music videos with great storytelling and branched out a bit musicallly. Of course, J-Hope and Jimin totally surprised everyone with their albums, and Jungkook surprised us for obvious reasons lmao. So far V hasn't surprised me at all, but maybe the tt will? Probably not. I guess we got too used to being shocked haha.

But you said it well that V's album so far feels like an aesthetic, and that's so true for a lot of V's recent projects and that's one of the reasons why it's harder for me to connect with him right now.

plus, i just. think he would be a music snob. everyone on byler tumblr talks about Mike's spotify playlist a lot, but i don't see a lot of people talking about Will's, and if you listen to it...yeah, i 100% think he'd be a music snob. his playlist is a lot of what i was listening to in middle school when i was determined to not like any music that was popular at the time and/or only wanted to listen to "real" music. he even has 3 Jack White music projects on that playlist!! THREE!!!! he has high standards and thinks he is Right, and while i don't believe he'd shove his opinions down everyone's throats, i do think he would hold to his standards

which, not that it matters in the least bit, but this is all to say that i don't think he'd listen to taylor swi[GUNSHOTS]

i'm also so so glad you liked the layout!! i've been wanting to do more with different formatting options on ao3 (without venturing into the realm of work skins lol), so this one felt like the perfect opportunity to do so! and i liked keeping it with a classic rock/blues/folk theme for the titles. i was originally gonna title the fic "hold me like a grudge" from the new fall out boy album and do all the subtitles based on fall out boy lyrics, but i'm kind of glad i strayed away from my addiction to Pete Wentz's wordsmithing and went for the classic stuff instead :]

Trying to navigate the spn fandom with the Jared and Jensen hate has not been easy. I have decided just to enjoy the projects they do I'm interested in and ignore the rest. How have you managed to keep so level headed with the constant craziness and infighting amongst the various fan groups? I always appreciate your thorough replies to asks.

Thanks, anon! Although I'm not always as level-headed as I'd like to be, there are a couple of things that I try to do and remember to keep from getting too wound up about anything that goes on in the various factions.

First, I try to remember that it's just fandom and sometimes fandom is pretty fucking blinkered or just straight up dumb. Especially when we're talking about the opinion of some random blog in their own space, what does it really matter? Opinions, assholes, etc. And that's when it's even a take you can actually consider seriously. Some of the shit like complaining about the way Jensen poses for pictures or Jared sits on chairs is just so inconsequential, absurdly petty, and childish? I really do just find it more funny than anything. Like, you're so determined at that point to fixate on hating an actor you've resorted to analyzing that for something to be buttmad about? LOL, okay.

It's a lot harder to not steam over the crap that gets sent directly to the actors - like the creepy fetishistic RPF posted on the SM of Jensen and his business/projects, the suicide bait/death threats to Jared, and the attempts to slander both Js with faux social justice bullshit. Which, first, mostly come from hellers who we have years of knowing are Like That (a lot of what made the aftermath of prequelgate so hard was the seemingly sudden schism of it). For that stuff, I generally figure J2 are probably not personally regularly wading through the sewer that is their SM, so hopefully a lot of it goes unseen. I also figure that they're mature enough and have good enough support to see that fandom has some unhinged people in it who are acting out for attention and it's not really about them. Furthermore, outsiders with a working brain are going to see it for exactly what it is - butthurt, entitled fans that need to get a fucking grip. That doesn't make it not creepy, not hurtful, or remotely fucking okay, but knowing most of it probably isn't hitting its mark and won't generally move beyond the fandom does help a bit. Especially in the context of knowing that you can't actually stop it because twitter really is for trolls and assholes. They can always make more accounts.

Second, when I really can't get something out of my head, because I keep seeing it over and over again, or one thing or another just sticks in my craw for some reason? I post about it. Sitting down and organizing my thoughts "on paper" seems like it helps me feel like I've dealt with it, in a way? I can't stop bad takes, but I can make it clear that there are obvious other takes which exist and make my best case for why my take is better - or at least a reasonable alternative. That's actually what lead me to make a blog way way back in the beginning, just constant annoyance at really bad takes analyzing the show. I knew then I wasn't going to change the minds of detestiel truthers and I know now I'm not going to change the minds of hardcore J haters, but there are a lot more people in fandom than just the extremists and it can help to see that you're not alone in disagreeing with opinions that can seem overly ubiquitous.

Third, when I still can't get away from something, or even one of the petty things hits particularly hard on an already bad day? I walk away for a bit. Stay only on blogs I know don't play into the drama. Do something else that takes enough of my focus to keep me off tumblr for at least a few hours/days - read or work on fanfic, play the sims, rewatch a canon. Come back after I've had a chance to cool off and remember that it really is just fandumb.

If Sega made its own Smash game and you could guarantee any non-Sonic character to get in (because those guys are basically in every single Sega crossover), who would you choose and how do you think their play style is like? I think Beat would be cool and he could spray graffiti in peoples eyes. Lol

I'd love to see Sega's spin on a Smash game. Beat would be a pretty cool addition to it, too.

For who I'd pick, I'm letting my bias take over completely and choosing Vyse. LOL Maybe it will convince them to finally give us a sequel to Skies of Arcadia? /j For his playstyle, I'd see him playing similarly to how Hero plays in Smash, tbh. He'd have his own moveset based off a combination of swordplay and his special moves, and likely a magic list like what Hero has. But since he doesn't have that many spells, especially compared to Hero, I could see it not being RNG-based and instead go more towards how Robin plays with a set amount of spells. When you think about it, just from his spell list and not including special moves, he really only learns roughly 12 original spells (not including upgrades [so only Pyri, no Pyrum, for example] or Curia/Curem and Risan/Riselem). There's not much need for an exhaustive list like what Hero has. But if Quicka or Increm are included, then maybe that will go similarly to how Shulk gets his stat boosts? Most of the spells deal elemental damage and could be infused into combos pretty easily. The Crystali, Wevli, Pyri, and Electri families of spells would be pretty easy to incorporate into a moveset. For example, with the Wevli family being wind-based, it could be used as recovery. Slipara would put an opponent to sleep if it hits (exactly like Hero's Snooze). The Sacri family of spells obviously would heal some or all damage, depending on which one rolled over (though no point adding Sacrem with there being only one person - although that would be funny to use in a team battle). Hero was allowed to have Whack/Thwack in his moveset, so Vyse should be allowed to have Eterni/Eternes. LOL The Noxi family of spells would deal damage and sometimes poison an opponent that it connected with, who would constantly take 1% damage per hit until it wore off or they were KO'd. Sylenis would prevent other characters from using magic, but if someone whose moveset was mostly magic was added to the game, that could be a problem, so that one might get cut. I'm not real sure how Panika or Driln/Drilnos would work in a moveset though. There's no point adding Curia/Curem unless they add actual negative status effects. Also no point in adding Risan/Riselem since all those do is revive you.

His special moves would be incorporated into combos, with the exception of Skull Shield, which I think would work similarly to how characters like K. Rool or Lucina can counter in Smash.

And then the Final Smash equivalent I think should be either Prophecy or the Blue Rogues special. Either would be really cool. Another idea that might be really funny is summoning the Delphinus and having it fire off the Moon Stone Cannon onto the battlefield.

God... this is making me want to mod this over Hero or something. Too bad I don't know how and don't have the resources to do it regardless. But seriously, this would be really cool.

Nah, I'm just joking, but I really wanted to discuss this with someone recently and I've seen that other anon has said something on the topic too (really sorry if it gets repetitive).

Future spouse readings. I love them, because they're fun and entertaining. Are there people who get obsessed over them? Maybe, and I find it quite sad because mostly of them are probably still on their teens or just entering their 20's.

I personally just don't really take those readings very seriously (I mean, nothing is written in stone) and just like to read what different readers have to say about how my supposed future lover might be like. But I really find annoying when readers, who do games on the topic and gain followers because of the said games (I'm not saying that their blogs aren't interesting enough or whatever in order to be followed, I'm just saying that these kind of games attract a lot of people, so most of those blogs are known in the first place because of their fs games), bash on people who wants to know about their fs. I have seen some comments really disrespectful towards people (and I really stop participating in their games because I feel judged).

Like.. I get it, it gets tiring because the whole tarot community seems to circle around this topic, but... What's the problem? If you really want to use your talent to help people, and not just for entertainment, don't do future spouse games and focus on anything else. But, just don't "people are so boring for always asking about their future spouse, get a life" and immediately after "Hey, I have a new future spouse game, please make sure you follow me".

And don't get me started when blogs who are "friends" support this behavior just for the hype when literally every single one of them do future spouse games as well. Anyway, have a good day J! Thanks for letting us rant.
