Fill your life with activities that FILL you up. Not things that fill your friends up, your family up, this is about you and making this year, the most wholesome year of your life yet…
Your favourite author is doing a book tour, go check it out. The women’s conference an 8hr flight away in six months time. Book it. The hiking. The music event, the painting classes. Whatever it is, become a wholesome person. Become a person who lives a life of passion. For yourself first and foremost, and this involves making PLANS. Don’t let this be another year where life passes you by. Where you think about how nice it would be to see your favourite music artist live, but you never booked the tickets, where you think it would be amazing to write that book, but never made time for it. That you think it would be amazing to hike on the weekends, but you didn’t even go. This year is fuelled by loving action. Expansiveness. New experiences, people, connections, your whole world is about to grow.

Read This If You Want To Stop Caring About What Other People Think 🧐💭💡
Life is short, and we only get one shot at it. Think about this: someday, when you're 95 years old, do you want to regret not doing what you truly wanted because you were worried about other people's opinions? I don't want that, and I'm sure you don't either.
Here's the thing: people are mostly focused on themselves. They're not dwelling on your actions or thoughts like you might think. Have you ever noticed how you nitpick your own behavior but hardly notice the same things in others? That's because we're all caught up in our own worlds.
Caring about what other people think will hold you back from being your true self and pursuing your true passions. When you're clear about your own path, and actively working towards your goals, other people's opinions become less relevant.
You can't please everyone, and that's perfectly fine. It's impossible to have everyone like you while staying true to yourself. Everyone has their own judgments and biases, often based on their personal experiences. Other people's opinions are just that – opinions, not facts. Their views don't define your worth or identity. Some won't like you no matter what, and that's not a reflection of your worth. Remember that everyone has their own insecurities and struggles. When you see people through a compassionate lens, their judgments lose their power.
Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Building your self-confidence through accomplishments can help you care less about external validation. Spend time with people who support and uplift you.
Remember, it's your life, and you should live it for yourself, not for the approval of others. Learn to say "no" when necessary and prioritize your well-being over seeking approval from others. Changing your mindset won't happen overnight, but with time and effort, you can make progress. Keep reminding yourself of these key points:
Life is short, so avoid regrets.
People are mostly focused on themselves.
It's okay if not everyone likes you.
Be authentic and true to yourself.
Instead of obsessing over what others think of you, shift your focus to how you feel about yourself. Your self-perception should matter more than anyone else's opinion. Stopping caring about others' opinions isn't easy, but I promise it's worth it. As you continue to remind yourself of these reasons, you'll find more freedom to be the real you. Remember, nobody can be a better "you" than you!

"It's a new dawn. It's a new day. It's a new life... For me. And I'm feeling good."
Well, actually no. I haven't been feeling good lately (long story, let's not go there. ✋🏻). And if you haven't felt too good either, that's okay.
Dieter, have you felt good lately?
Tumblr media
Yeah, this year's been a little rough on you at times, hasn't it, bud?
Tumblr media
But, 2024 is going to be my year. The year of Jett! And Dieter's year... yes, I can't forget you, bud.
Tumblr media
And it can be yours too. Because no matter what kind of year you've had, it's never too late to start anew...
To make amends. To pick something back up again that you put down a long time ago. To fall back in love with yourself. To fall in love with someone else.
To not limit your love...
Tumblr media
To find your people. To find yourself. To push yourself. To discover something new. To face your fears. To be emboldened. To take a leap of faith.
To make time for yourself. To say yes. To say no. To say, to hell with it all and go wild. To find new purpose. To find meaning. To find joy.
To ditch the guilt. To ditch the pressure. To do it for you and on your terms. To enjoy what you love. To be loud and proud. To own it.
To be who you are, not who others expect you to be.
Tumblr media
To look up at the stars instead of looking down at your phone. To fuel your body with the things that nourish it instead of poisoning it. To climb a mountain. To dance in the rain, even if you end up dancing alone.
Dance like nobody is watching...
Tumblr media
To chase your dreams. To giggle at your own jokes. To laugh like you've never laughed before. To trust yourself. To guide yourself. To try all the things you want.
To indulge on life and it's offerings...
Tumblr media
To realising that material posessions are fleeting. That money isn't everything. And that love and friendship are worth more than currency or gold.
To realising your value, your worth.
To being a bit selfish and putting you first. To look after your brain, your heart. To trust them both. To have your own back.
(And for goodness sake, look after your back!)
I'm not making any resolutions this year. Instead, I'm making myself a promise. And that's to live, love, to be kind to myself and seize the day, because life, my friends, is hella short.
So, live your best life, unapologetically.
D is telling you to...
Tumblr media
You're only here once; make it count.
Happy New Year from Dieter and myself! 🖤😘
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOU. ARE. STRONGER. THAN. YOU. THINK. 🖤
Do you. Then do Dieter.

Tina Turner was living proof that the most revolutionary act a Black woman can do is live her best muthafucking life.
Listen to or make whatever music you like. Live where you feel safe and appreciated. As long as nobody gets hurt, date or fuck whoever. Marry them if or when you feel like it. Claim your freedom to live on your own terms, not what someone else thinks you need to be.
Tina Turner was #notyourmule decades before it became a hashtag.
I'm gonna miss the hell outta her.

I hope you have the courage to...
"I hope you have the courage to keep loving deeply in a world that sometimes fails to do so. In a generation that orders up attention like they order up a meal, in a generation that has started to love with one foot out the door, I hope you have the courage to believe that genuine connection still exists. And I hope you have the courage to stand up for that, to open yourself to it when you start to feel it bloom within the heart of you. I hope you have the courage to appreciate it for all that it is, to not approach it wearing a mask, to not try to desensitize yourself to it or to play it cool. Please, I hope you have the courage to crash your heart into the people life gifts you. I hope you have the courage to believe that goodness still exists, that there are those who have the capacity to love the way you do, and that there are those who will see you, will grow you, and teach you more about the world. I hope you have the courage to fight for connection. I hope you have the courage to go deeper. To never exist on the surface of your life, even if it’s easier or more convenient. At the end of the day, you should leave this world with a heart that is worn-out and soft all over. A heart that is bruised from loving, and feeling, and caring in the best way possible. At the end of the day, you should be proud of your inability to be anything but open to the world. You should be proud of who you are.
I hope you have the courage to do the hard work. I hope you have the courage to sit down with your demons, to befriend them; to look them in the face and to not feel fear. I hope you have the courage to stop picking or numbing or avoiding the wounds within, and I hope you choose to heal them instead. I hope you have the courage to understand yourself, fundamentally—to open up the deepest, darkest parts of your mind, to unhinge your rib cage revealing the gritty parts of your soul, the parts no one else claps for, and I hope you have the courage to clean them out. To forgive yourself for what you had to do to kill your sadness. To forgive yourself for the ways in which you didn’t fight for the person you were becoming. I hope you have the courage to nurture your pain, to not disregard it or sweep it under the rug of distraction or convenience. I hope you have the courage to heal yourself, even when it hurts.
I hope you have the courage to know when to end things. And I hope you have the courage to see endings as beautiful, transformative stepping stones. I hope you have the courage to let love and opportunity move through you like rain. To not grip, or seek to change it, to not ask people or circumstances to be more than they can be for you. I hope you have the courage to see endings as the cornerstones of the chapters that changed you without needing them to be a part of the rest of your story. And when that is done, I hope you have the courage to give yourself closure. To be your own home. To be your own safe place. I hope you have the courage to not let the losses destroy you, to not let them burrow into the heart of who you are and convince you that you failed, or that you are unworthy of the happiness you are standing up for in your life. I hope you have the courage to see the way in which you loved and tried and fought for something as a testament to just how deeply your capacity to feel is, just how beautiful moments can be when you appreciate them for what they were instead of nullifying them or letting them harden you to the world. Please, I hope you have the courage to move forward. I hope you have the courage to walk away with grace.
I hope you have the courage to do things differently, to be the kind of person who takes the risk, to be the kind of person who leads with their heart and shows up in their life with a ruthless dedication to learning and growing and enjoying the hell out of their moments here. I hope you have the courage to never let comfort or apprehension convince you that you are better off staying still. I hope you have the courage to trust the part of yourself that knows there’s more out there for you, the part of yourself that is easy to quiet when you’re trying to live by the rules and the expectations of a world that has bred so much dissatisfaction and sadness. I hope you have the courage to trust the part of yourself that seeks freedom from those trends, from those boundaries, and I hope you have the courage to go after whatever it is that genuinely makes you want to get up in the morning. I hope you have the courage to find the things in life that ignite you and deepen your understanding of the world and those within it. I hope you have the courage to fight for a future that inspires you, even if it doesn’t look the way you thought it would. I hope you have the courage to change. I hope you have the courage to trust in the person you’re becoming."

I’m sick of reading stories in the media about ‘trans issues’ and stories about whether claims of gender dysphoria are genuine, or whether it’s some sort of fad exploiting vulnerable adolescents, etc. The truth is gender dysphoria is real, and no it’s not a made up “thing”. Some people are born with genitalia inconsistent with their internal identity of self, and it causes misery and anguish beyond belief.
Why the fuck do we as transpeople put up with this? And why should we have to justify our feelings and beliefs to anyone?? If we decide ourselves we were brought up in the wrong gender and we want to change it, what right does anyone else have to question that??? I’m sick of us being required to somehow justify our existence. We’re human beings. No different to anyone else. So if I want to grow breasts, wear a dress and fuck men that’s my business and no one else’s’!
Gay men decided long ago they weren’t going to be social pariahs. We need to do the same!
