okay I absolutely get and adore harry being oblivious about ot3 developments, but consider:

after breanna makes it explicitly clear she’s queer in the card game job, harry starts Researching™

he’s trying to be good, be better. he likes this girl and wants to be there to support her and be her friend, someone she can trust. it doesn’t help that she’s around the same age as his daughter, who barely wants to associate with him anymore

he learns breanna is queer and dives into researching. watching TED talks in his spare time. reading ebooks on his phone in between playing roles in a con (bringing a physical book is less convenient and he doesn’t want to wave around the fact that he’s researching like he’s trying to be performative about it). he reads about legislation and book bans and wonders about how they could work their magic through a con to fix those things. he reads about asexuality and recognizes the flag colors from the sticker on breanna’s laptop, which he files away for later

he learns a lot! he has been peripherally aware of queer stuff- it’s kind of hard not to be in the 2020s, but now he is much more informed on a lot of issues. he has memorized at least 50 different labels and terms and has an index of resources in his head (and on his phone) if anyone might need them. he wants to understand the people he loves and cares about, whether it’s breanna or one of his daughter’s friends, or anyone in his life that is queer and he doesn’t know it yet. he wants to be ready and prepared to support them!

he learns about sapphicness and bisexuality and intersex rights and the gender spectrum. he learns about karyotypes and stonewall and other queer history. he learns about kink (blushing, but still reads because it’s important!) and relationship diversity… which leads him to discover the term polyamory

he tries not to actively apply the terms he has learned on the people in his life because he knows it’s wrong to assume things about other people. BUT. harry spends a few days reflecting on parker, hardison and eliot’s interactions and wonders. he thinks about the long hugs and lack of personal space and near telepathic communication not just between parker and hardison, but parker and eliot AND hardison and eliot. how parker knows how to make eliot take care of himself, how he knows when she forgets to eat because she’s so hyperfixated on planning a con. how parker jumps on his back for fun and no matter what, he always catches her. hardison’s absence is felt when he’s gone, deeply by the both of them.

it could just be a deep friendship, he knows. they have been working and living together for over a decade, of course they would be close!!! maybe they could even be queerplatonic! (another new word he learned!)

but. still. he quietly observes, watches closely, and thinks.

STUFF ABOUT GEM CASEY FOR MY FELLOW GOOBERS:

- Transmasc (intersex at birth), he/him pronouns, and aroace. Wears a binder.

- Current appearance model follows Chapter 33 (34 was a beach episode--)

- Has a prosthetic right arm! It's green and sci-fi like, his residual starts 4 inches past the elbow. However, Casey likes to hide it with long sleeves and black fabric gloves. He is very wary about how it happened and other ppl staring at it.

- Has a tattooed serial number on the back of his neck reading "46508029" (lore related)

- Piercings include: 3 helix rings and lobe studs on each ear. 2 eyebrow studs on each brow. All silver. Necklace is an emerald.

- Hair type 2B, has a thick sage (or mint) strand of hair due to mystic overuse. It kinda glows but it's like a shitty glow in the dark sticker kind of glow.

- Ghost powers: Can turn into a ghostly form and phase through stuff. But also is "possessed" by his turtle uncles and his mom. Each ghost has a power linked to them. Cass, wind. Mikey, fire. Leo, water. Donnie, electricity. And Raph, earth.

Let me introduce my AgeRe sona, Toggy … 🐮🐻

They are a Cow-Bear hybrid, born intersex (xxy chromosomes) and go by any pronouns. Toggy loves flowers and their favorite colors are red, yellow and blue (the primary colors).

Their main fur is different shades of red-ish browns and their cow- spots are beige, these spots should be depicted as accurate to the reference as possible. Because Toggy is a Highland cow hybrid, they have a full head of hair, a mane and tufts of longer fur on their knees, elbows, eartips, shoulders, tail, etc. They have paws as their hands and hooves as their feet and their hooves share the same dark brown shade as their horns and claws. Toggy's naked nose, tummy inner ears, paw pads, as well as their tongue are pink. On the belly are also six nipples visible, three on each side. The tag in Toggy's ear stays there at all times, it has the number 8481 on it.

They have to wear glasses, but try to avoid it, their glasses have a yellow, big round frame.

Toggy can often be seen with a flower in their hair, next to her right horn.

They have two differently colored eyes, the right one is turquoise & the left one is purple.

Whenever they're shown without a paci, two sharp lil teeth always show/ stick out in both corners of their mouth.

Toggy is regressed nearly 24/7. It started as a trauma response and now is just their way of living. Their CG, Loo - another OC of mine - loves to take care of any little ones at all times

The kid is pretty chill and likes to read, color and sleep. They are not very good at dealing with stressful situations and tend to hide in their room to be left alone when they get too overwhelmed.

Toggy is incontinent (like me) and has to stay padded. When they are small, they like to wear nappies with cute designs on them and if they don't have those at hand, they simply decorate their plain ones with stickers and drawings.

They like to make friends, but their social battery is pretty quick to drain and they often seek some time alone or with their CG. Generally speaking, Toggy enjoys the company of CG's more than the one of (most) other kiddo's.

They always seek comfort in their caregiver, asking for hugs or simply following them around..

Toggy often takes on the role of "big sibling", trying to keep the more mischievous tiny ones in check. Honestly, they can be a little, bossie know-it-all sometimes. My other little Sona, Spots, knows all about that!

intersex day of solidarity

all over the globe intersex people lack rights to our own bodies, only 15 countries have some sort of protection for us. things like igm (intersex gen¡tal mutil@tion) are legal all over too, I was a v¡ct¡m of this back in the early 2000s and it still happens to intersex babies today. it is important to uplift our voices and to learn our stories, so many people have no idea any of this happens. there are literally exceptions in the ant¡trans laws to keep allowing unnecessary surgeries on intersex babies which isn't ok bc a baby can not give consent. today I ask of you all to educate yourself about intersex people and our issues and stand with us in this fight for our own bodies and existence 💕

3. what, if any, disability aids do you use? (mobility aids, sensory aids, braces, communicative devices, IVs, etc. meds also count here). do you customize them/their containers/outsides?

Lots and lots! I use knee braces (they are hot pink & match my hair and I love them). I used to use forearm crutches, and might get a cane soon. I've had NG tubes before, and rely on supplemental oral nutrition rn. I use an AAC app for psychosis but I'm not a regular AAC user outside of that. Might not traditionally be considered aids, but things like mad mapping + my harm reduction supply toolkit with my sharps bin, safer supplies, stuff like that. I love customizing things-I'm a big fan of bright colors, stickers, sewing, diy, so almost everything I own has been customized in some way. I think I've posted photos of how i decorated my crutches, IV pole, and sharps container with stickers before.

15. what does disability pride mean to you?

disability pride means protest to me!!! for me pride is always going to be a protest and a lot of what I have learned about celebrating myself as a disabled person has come from the legacies of disabled people fighting back against a world that doesn't want us to exist. Disability pride means that I have the right to exist with everything that means for me, and that I don't need to love or be happy about every part of my experiences, but that I will fight for the right to have those be mine. disability pride means access intimacy and interdependence and disabled community where we can share that rage together and love the ways we exist together. Disability pride also means making room to honor my grief, and remembering everyone I've lost-their memories will always be present in my disabled community and I want to celebrate their lives and mourn together with my loved ones.

16. free space to talk about whatever disability issue or experience you want !

Ooh! I've been in a mood the past couple days to talk about intersex stuff. So will just mention again today that I personally view my intersex variation as both a queer identity and as a disability-I think that the social model of disability becomes very relevant when we look at the way intersex people are treated, our relationship with the medical industrial complex, and the way that intersex people are made disabled within it. I think that intersexism is rooted in ableism and that intersex liberation must be based on solidarity with the disability justice movement. I don't think that individual intersex people need to see their intersex variations as disabilities but I'm really drawn to how Dr Celeste Orr discusses intersex and/as/is/with disability in Cripping Intersex. and especially for my specific intersex variation, which depending on the subtype that you have, can require lifelong glucocorticoid therapy, can be the subtype with EDS, can have salt wasting crises, etc, it's clear why we might understand ourselves as disabled and chronically ill people. And at the same time, being intersex will always be queer to me, because we belong in LGBTQIA community and i want to honor how my intersex traits exist beautifully outside of the sex binary!

im so confuuused yalllllll, how is hearts not parts problematic?

i read a bunch of posts n shi that say it IS problematic but not really explaining how its problematic.

all i found is this which says:

my brain is breaking, okay maybe because its about sexualities it does imply something about gender, but it's dismissing the physical parts not your gender?

3. "an implication that non-pan people only care about genitals" emmm, does "love between men is pure" imply that all other love is impure?

4. "an erasure/invalidation of aromantic people" same as the previous point, the fact that we are talking about romantic love atm, don't mean we invalidate aromantic people.

5. "misrepresentation of what it means to be pan in general" what does it mean? idk, tbh, webMD says "Pansexuality is the romantic, emotional, and/or sexual attraction to people regardless of their gender." and that sounds reasonable? pan x-attraction to any of the genders. what is it misrepresenting?

all (ignoring the people who don't consider trans or intersex people people) sexualities are attracted to the heart (soul, being, person including their gender/lack there of) not their private parts, so if anything it could be any orientations slogan, but doesn't really sound right for one gender attracted people, that i admit. idk why. prolly bc it's been associated with bi pan omni ppl. idk.

6. "and an idea of superiority over other identities." not sure at all about this one. as I established no sexualities are actually attracted exclusively to parts. Hearts not parts is not implying anything about superiority or other orientations at all.

open to civil conversation and any explanations!

at the end of the albany pride parade, everyone gathers in the park for stalls and music and food and miscellaneous stuff and i was going around to the different stands to check out free stuff. towards the end, there were a lot of bare pin bowls and sticker rolls. the cop stall had no shortage of stickers though lmaooo. no one wants those fucking sheriff badge stickers. i don’t even think they were pride themed but i didn’t go to close of it.

haul of what i did get (might be forgetting something idk)
