Intersex Donations thread
happy pride everyone! Although we have a lot of pride and love being intersex, we also know that being intersex can be difficult, and that things like medical bills, dealing with harassment at work, disability, and many other things can make it difficult for us to have the resources we need to survive.
If you're intersex, feel free to reblog and add your donation link info to this post! Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable-sharing our personal trauma should not be a requirement to be believed and supported.
please share and donate if you can, and support intersex community this pride month!

Queerness.
If you’re intersex, you’re queer (includes PCOS), if you’re trans, you’re queer, if you’re gay, you’re queer, if you are aromantic, asexual, or on the aroacespec/aspec/arospec+, you’re queer, you use mpsec labels, you’re queer, if you’re gender-fluid, you’re queer, if you use xenogenders, you’re queer, hey if you’re apart of the LGBTQIA+ you’re queer! I’m tired of seeing other queer people shit on others for who’s ‘really’ queer, it’s not a fight, we’re literally apart of the same goddamn community.
Edit: You don’t have to consider yourself queer! This is for people who do!

shoutout to my hometown for banning intersex genital mutilation! the government has also implemented a medical board to oversee medical processes for intersex folk, with a mandate that this board include people with "lived experience". this is a great step forward, and I hope that the rest of Australia will follow!
you can find out more here:
I encourage my fellow Australians to look into similar movements in your state/territory! A Gender Agenda is doing some great work in the ACT at the moment, but if you're in another part of Australia, I'll point you towards Intersex Human Rights Australia for all your intersex activism needs!

Disabled trans and intersex banners 🙂 if you want similar in different flag colors, feel free to request!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: two similar dividers made using edited disabled/wheelchair user emojis. The first is edited to have the colors of the trans flag repeating, the second is edited so every emoji has the colors and patterning of the intersex flag. /End ID]

As an intersex person, stop using the terms AMAB and AFAB to exclude and put down each other. The terms were made by intersex people as criticism against assigned sex vs gender and I find it crazy that now people want to use it to tell people they can or can’t use certain things
Like a period tip described as “a tip for AFAB” just be more specific. “a video for people who have periods” because not just AFAB people have uterus or vagina, and not all AMAB people have a penis. Stop using AMAB or AFAB to only continue the heteronormativity and gender sex stereotypes and use them how they were intended!
You can still say “I am AFAB” or “I am AMAB” but stop using the term to put people down or exclude them
Don’t say things like “only for AFAB” or “AMAB can’t be transmasc!” Stuff like this is harmful to intersex people who the terms were originally made by anyways
Thank you for listening

A great way to celebrate intersex people during pride is to put up some of these beautiful (free!) posters to advocate for ending intersex surgery. Wheatpaste them around your city, put them up in your workplace and school, pass them out at pride events--the sky is the limit! Intersex people deserve to be celebrated during pride and we deserve allies who are willing to fight for our rights. It’s especially crucial this year, with so many bills being passed targeting intersex youth.

Interpunk / Inter Punk / Intersex Punk
A punk sub-label dedicated to fighting for intersex liberation. Interpunks actively fight against surgeries on intersex children, discrimination against intersex people in sports, misrepresentation, erasure, and fetishization of intersex people in society, and all other forms of intersexism.
This label is inclusive of all intersex traits and conditions, including PCOS and other stigmatized conditions. It is staunchly against "trans!ntersex" and the idea of perisex people "transitioning to become intersex" entirely (not altersex, altersex is fine. It's all about the language).
Interpunks will always call out intersexism when they see it and uplift intersex voices. Above all, interpunks fight for intersex liberation, rights, and voices to be heard.
The color meanings are as follows:
Purple - The diversity of intersex traits and the community
Light purple - Disabled intersex people
Yellow - Pride in being intersex
Pink - Intersex POC
Blue - Queer intersex people
More flag variations + blank under the cut

End Intersex Surgery
Digital illustration of an Asian woman with her hands on her hips. She is wearing a mustard yellow tank top and purple trackpants. Text reads, ‘end intersex surgery’ on the first image, and ‘nature is not binary.’ On the second.

dear intersex people,
you don't have to be open about your type of or specific variation. you don't have to explain your identity. you don't have tell people about your body or its inner workings. if all you want to say is that you're intersex, that's okay.

Intersex Angel redesign. Last year's design wasn't too popular, so I decided to get more creative with it. Instead of a classic many-winged angel I imagined a star angel with a trail of wings, inspired by those medieval illustrations of comets.
