Here are just a few favorite fanfics I’ve written if you want to virtually celebrate my birthday with me today! It would make my day if you drop by and tell me what you think of any of them! XOXO
1. How to Catch a DILF
Pairing: Albus Severus Potter/Draco Malfoy Rating: E WC:10k Written for the HP Call Me Daddy fest. I had so much fun with this one, and I’m pretty proud of the smut! Twenty-two year old Albus has been in love with Mr. Malfoy for ages, and he can’t decide what to do until he’s caught in the act of doing something quite scandalous.
2. From Sunset to Star Rise
Pairing: Harry Potter/Ron Weasley Rating: M WC: 7k  Written for the Pumpkin Spice Fic fest. Cottagecore post-Hogwarts Friends to Lovers sweetness, I loved writing this story where Ron and Harry move to a mountain cabin in America to get away from it all, only to realize they never want to leave, and that they are all each other needs.
3. HP Kinkuary 2023 Prompt: Comeplay
Pairing: Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley/Cormac McLaggen Rating: M WC: <1k In this story (that I had a BLAST writing) Cormac won’t leave Hermione alone. She and Ron hatch a devious plan…
4. HP Cocktober 2022 Prompt: Mutual Masturbation
Pairing: Harry Potter/Ron Weasley Rating: M WC: <1k Harry and Ron find new ways to care for their broomsticks. This is probably one of my favorites from this collection. It’s jam packed with innuendo, and you’re never *quite* sure what’s happening is really happening.
5. When Malfoy Met Granger…
Pairing: Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger Rating: M WC: 29k  WHMS is one of my fav rom-com CLASSICS. The banter is top-notch and I had to adapt it for this pairing. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, it’s the perfect plane ride read, takes you as long as it would to watch the movie, what more could you want out of a medium length read?
6. How to Care for Your Monster Book
Pairing: Rubeus Hagrid/Monster Book of Monsters Rating: E WC: 8k I know I won’t shut up about this one but I’ve never been happier than I was when I wrote this. Pure glee. Crack taken seriously. This POA compliant story follows a secret year in the life of Hagrid going on behind the scenes. It’s funny, horny, a tiny bit gross, and mostly endearing. RIP Agnes.
7. Mastermind
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Ron/Draco, Ron/Harry (Minor Hermione/Draco) Rating: E WC: 10k IT’S A DEAD DOVE FOLKS! Read if you dare, but mind those tags. This Dronarry fest submission took a turn for the creepy in this “You” inspired Dark Draco obsession spiral. I’m particularly proud of the unrequited Ronarry romance and pining in this. I will love you forever if you give it a try.
8. HP Cocktober 2022 Prompt: Marking
Pairing: Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter Rating: E WC: <1k  Harry has kept their secret far too long, and it looks like Draco is impatient to blow this thing wide open. Mind the tags. I love this Drarry. I normally feel I can’t get the hang of them, but THIS felt so right (and so wrong)
9. HP Kinkuary 2023 Prompt: Feet
Pairing: Ron Weasley/Eloise MIdgen Rating: M WC: <1k After years of writing off Eloise Midgen as unremarkable, Ron finds something of hers to love. Too bad she’s not making it easy...  Normally I’m NOT a foot fetish person, but is there anything more fun then writing about a kink and wondering if perhaps even you could have your mind changed? Anyways, I digress. Ron is so horny in this and I love it.

Harry James Potter x OC
Masterlist.
----------------------------------------
"So, this is the infamous monster book?" Asked Love as the three Ravenclaws made their way down the sloping lawns to the edge of the Forbidden Forest where Hagrid's hut was.
"Tis I, in all my monstery glory." Padma grabbed the rope-bound, fluffy-looking book and shook it as if it was the one talking, making the book growl at the sudden movement.
"Monstery is not a world, and for Merlin's sake, would you stop shaking it before you lose a hand." Emma sends her a warning look.
"Kill joy."
Padma rolled her eyes and passed the book back to Love who examined it further, the four eyes were closed as if it was resting, it had weird fangs hanging from the edges of the book, which could probably cause plenty of damage giving the opportunity, and the mouth was the biting the pages of the book, function as a lock.
"What a funny-looking book." She mumbled. Had she been clueless about the reputation of the book, Love would have to try to open it as any other book but now, it was obvious that it wouldn't work for this book.  "Any clues on how to open it?"
"I know how to," Emma exclaimed, earning the girl's attention. "Well, given that it's a book with... living characteristics, I suspect they don't appreciate it if you just open them rudely, like any other animal, they can feel, so you need to sweeten them Into opening."
Love hums tilting her head, and looking down at the sleeping book. "Makes sense."
"It does but how do we sweeten them, Mr Wonka?" Padma said, turning to look at Emma, arms crossed.
He rolled his eyes. "How do you get a cat to purr?"
"Are you telling me I need to pet that demon book?" Padma scoffed in disbelief.
"Stroke it." Love and Emma said in unison.
Love turns to Emma quickly "Jinx."
"Shit." Emma groaned, he had only said the first two syllables of the word.
"You owe me a chocolate frog."
"Yeah, yeah," He waved his hand dismissively. "I'll buy you one once we're in Hogsmeade."
They arrived at the hut, where several other students were already there, like Lavender and Parvati who waved at them and Hagrid who was waiting for his class at the door, waiting impatiently for the rest of the class, with his dog, Fang, at his feet.
"Reckons he's going to be a good Professor?" Asked Padma, gazing at the half-giant.
"He is resourceful." Love said, nodding her head with confidence and giving her answers. "And well educated in the care of creatures, as we all know."
"Yeah, but is he going to make a great teacher, though?" Padma said, lips tightening. "It takes more than just skill to be one."
"Well, that is true but this is also his first year of teaching, so I can't give you a factual answer but I have faith he will."
"Yeah, let's give him the benefit of the doubt," Emma said, nodding his head solemnly.
Familiar laughter caught Love's attention, glancing back, she saw Draco Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy all cackling at something the bleach blonde was telling them, it was not until he pretended to pass out again did she know the reason why.
"Merlin, can't they just let it go?" Love mumbles, rolling her eyes.
Padma glanced at them too. "What is a Slytherin if not malicious?"
"I don't think they're malicious, just... they like to tease a lot." Love said, turning back her head to look at the hut.
"They bully people a lot, you mean," Emma mumbles, annoyance mixing in his tone. He had been a subject of their bullying once or twice before.
Love purses her lips, "Not all of them, Theo Nott and Blaise Zabini are one of the plenty who doesn't do that."
"That we know of, they can be sneaky as a snake, the lot of them." Padma shrugged.
"C'mon, now, get a move on!" Hagrid called as the last of the class approached interrupting their conversation. "Got a real treat for yeh today! Great lesson comin' up! Everyone here? Right, follow me!"
"Where do you think he's taking us?" Asked Love, following Hagrid.
Emma frowns, looking ahead. "I just hope it's not the forbidden forest."
"Of course, he won't take us there," Padma said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "It's forbidden for a reason, Dumbledore wouldn't let it happen."
"Well, you never know."
Thankfully, they were right, he didn't take them to the forest, after a few minutes of strolling at the edge of the trees, they found themselves outside a kind of paddock but it was empty.
"Everyone gather 'round the fence here!" he called. "That's it -- make sure yeh can see -- now, firs' thing yeh'll want ter do is open yer books --"
"How?" said the drawling voice Draco.
"Eh?" Hagrid blinked.
"How do we open our books?" Malfoy repeated. He took out his copy of The Monster Book of Monsters, which he had bound shut with a length of rope.
Love noticed that the only book not bound to anything was Emmanuel's who had it under his arm.
"Hasn' -- hasn' anyone bin able ter open their books?" said Hagrid, looking crestfallen.
Emma looked at his feet, his teeth biting into his lip, making Love frown. Emmanuel was brilliant, he could solve a riddle in a matter of seconds,  he could have the answer to a question before you even ask it, and he could recite books word for word, but his enemy was no one else but himself.
Love had come to find out over the two years she had met him that Emmanuel is not all that grumpy, he's just really shy and he's scared of what others think of him, which holds him back from doing plenty of things, like, for example, saying out loud he had been able to open the book when no one else had.
"Yeh've got ter stroke 'em," said Hagrid, as though this was the most obvious thing in the world. "Look --"
He took Hermione Granger's copy and ripped off the Spellotape that bound it. The book tried to bite, but Hagrid ran a giant forefinger down its spine, and the book shivered, and then fell open and lay quiet in his hand.
Padma leaned against Emma and whispered. "You're right after all."
"Of course I was." He whispered back, rolling his eyes.
"Oh, how silly we've all been!" Malfoy sneered, gaining the trio's attention. "We should have stroked them! Why didn't we guess!"
"I -- I thought they were funny," Hagrid said uncertainly.
"Oh, tremendously funny!" Draco huffs sarcastically. "Really witty, giving us books that try and rip our hands off!"
Love sighs, tired of Draco's behaviour and feeling guilty towards Hagrid for some reason, who was looking downcast.
"Damn Malfoy." Emmanuel rolled his eyes, holding back his sneer.
"Righ' then," said Hagrid, who seemed to have lost his thread, "so -- so yeh've got yer books an'...an'...now yeh need the Magical Creatures. Yeah. So I'll go an' get 'em. Hang on..."
He strode away from them into the forest and out of sight.
"Have you got it?" Love asks Padma, who was struggling against the book.
Padma grunts, trying to run her finger over the spine. "Yeah, it's just a pickle."
"Let me help." Love giggled as she tried her best to help the struggling girl.
Finally, they did it and the book opened up at last, leaving a panting Padma in the process.
"God, this place is going to the dogs," said Malfoy loudly, and at this point most of the class ignored him. "That oaf teaching classes, my father'll have a fit when I tell him --"
"Shut up, Malfoy," Harry Potter snapped.
"Oop, dog fight," Padma whispered, making Love nudge her ribs but hide a small amused smirk.
"Careful, Potter, there's a Dementor behind you --"
"Oooooooh!" squealed Lavender Brown interrupting about every conversation with the loud sound, pointing toward the opposite side of the paddock.
Love gasps as she watches a dozen creatures trotting towards them. They had the bodies, hind legs, and tails of horses, but the front legs, wings, and heads of what seemed to be giant eagles, with cruel, steel-coloured beaks and large, brilliantly, orange eyes. The talons on their front legs were half a foot long and deadly looking. Each of the beasts had a thick leather collar around its neck, which was attached to a long chain, and the ends of all of these were held in the vast hands of Hagrid, who came jogging into the paddock behind the creatures.
"Woah." Love mumbles, staring at the animal in awe and admiration.
"Gee up, there!" he roared, shaking the chains and urging the creatures toward the fence where the class stood. Everyone drew back slightly as Hagrid reached them and tethered the creatures to the fence.
"Hippogriffs!" Hagrid roared happily, waving a hand at them. "Beau'iful, aren' they?"
Emma did a small victory pump. "Knew it."
Yeah, the Hippogriffs were gorgeous with their gleaming coats, changing smoothly from feather to hair, each of them a different colour: stormy grey, bronze, pinkish roan, bone white, gleaming chestnut, and inky black.
"So," said Hagrid, rubbing his hands together and beaming around, "if yeh wan' ter come a bit nearer..."
Love purses her lips, there was a big part of her that told her to jump off the fence and head straight towards them but the logical part of her brain was a lot more hesitant to do so, after all, they're still wild magical animals.
She decided against it, she could learn about the creatures from the place she was.
"Now, firs' thing yeh gotta know abou' Hippogriffs is, they're proud," said Hagrid. "Easily offended, Hippogriffs are. Don't never insult one, 'cause it might be the last thing yeh do."
Simple enough.
"Yeh always wait fer the Hippogriff ter make the firs' move," Hagrid continued. "It's polite, see? Yeh walk toward him, and yeh bow, an' yeh wait. If he bows back, yeh're allowed ter touch him. If he doesn' bow, then get away from him sharpish, 'cause those talons hurt."
"Right -- who wants ter go first?"
Love felt Emma's hand on her elbow as he took a step back bringing her with him, she didn't stop him as the thought of being near the creature was slightly frightening, even more so when the Hippogriffs were tossing their fierce heads and flexing their powerful wings; they didn't seem to like being tethered like this.
"No one?" said Hagrid, with a pleading look.
"I'll do it," said Harry, making all the heads turn to him.
"Didn't you tell us your divination Professor predicted his demise?" Padma asked, gazing over to Harry.
"Yep." Love nodded in confirmation, frowning at Harry Potter, the brave fool.
Harry climbed over the paddock fence.
Emma shook his head in wordless disappointment. "Gryffindors just don't listen, do they?"
"Apparently not."
"Good man, Harry!" roared Hagrid. "Right then -- let's see how yeh get on with Buckbeak."
He untied one of the chains, pulled the grey Hippogriff away from its fellows, and slipped off its leather collar. There was a tense air around the class, most of them just waiting for something awful to happen. Love on the other hand was intrigued by the plenty of ways this could go down.
"Easy now, Harry," said Hagrid quietly yet most of the class heard him. "Yeh've got eye contact, now try not ter blink... Hippogriffs don' trust yeh if yeh blink too much..."
Harry was looking, staring at the Hippogriff, not blinking as Hagrid had instructed him, the class watches with their heart in their hand as Buckbeak had turned his great, sharp head and was staring at Harry.
"Tha's it," said Hagrid. "Tha's it, Harry... now, bow."
Harry's hesitation was tangible even from where Love was standing, but like a great Griffindor, he courageously did as he was told. He gave a short bow and then looked up.
The Hippogriff was still staring haughtily at him. It didn't move.
"Ah," said Hagrid, sounding worried. "Right -- back away, now, Harry, easy does it --"
But then, to everyone's relief and surprise, the Hippogriff bent its scaly front knees and sank into what was an unmistakable bow.
"Well done, Harry!" said Hagrid, ecstatic. "Right -- yeh can touch him! Pat his beak, go on!"
Harry moved slowly toward the Hippogriff and reached out toward it. He patted the beak several times and the Hippogriff closed its eyes lazily, as though enjoying it.
"Merlin, I thought he was going to get eaten." Padma breaths out, clapping
Emma made a face. "That would have been gruesome."
Love nodded while clapping her hands along with the rest of the class, Harry turned his head towards the class, his eyes locking with hers, she gave him a quick thumbs up with a tight awkward smile when his eyes didn't break contact, and regretting it after and cringing on the inside.
'Why did she do that?'
"Righ' then, Harry," said Hagrid, stopping the clapping. "I reckon he migh' let yeh ride him!"
"Oof," Emma mumbles, grimacing at the thought of riding a hippogriff as if it was him the one being asked to do it.
"Yeh climb up there, jus' behind the wing joint," said Hagrid, "an' mind yeh don' pull any of his feathers out, he won' like that..."
The class watched him as he put his foot on the top of Buckbeak's wing and hoisted himself onto its back. Buckbeak stood up and the class tense, all in unison.
"Go on, then!" roared Hagrid, slapping the hippogriff's hindquarters.
Without warning, twelve-foot wings flapped open on either side of Harry, he just had time to seize the Hippogriff around the neck before he was soaring upward.
The class oh's and gasps in awe as they look up at the blue sky as the Hippogriff took the boy for a ride around the paddock.
"You don't think we'll all have to do that, do you?" Emma asked, looking up at the flying creature.
Love shrugged, eyes on the large wings. "I wouldn't mind if we do."
"I'll ride with you," Padma added quickly. "No- no, I take that back. I want to ride alone."
"Fine, your loss."
The class watched as the Hippogriff descended, and steadily landed back inside the paddock.
The Gryffindors were cheering even before he had landed, urging the other houses to do the same. Love, once again, found herself clapping although a little more enthusiastic than before, the Gryffindor spirit washing over her in waves.
"Good work, Harry!" roared Hagrid, a proud smile on his face. "Okay, who else wants a go?"
"Come on." Love grabbed her friend's wrist and climbed into the paddock, excitement bubbling within her.
Hagrid untied the Hippogriffs one by one, Love's hippogriff was the bone white one, golden colour at the end of the feathers of each wing, and ever so pigmented green eyes, almost like neon.
"Be careful," Emma told her as she slowly approached the Hippogriff, everything Hagrid said was repeating like a broken record in her head.
Her eyes stared at the green ones, and never once blinking she bowed her head carefully. The Hippogriff regarded her for a moment making Love's breath stuck in her throat but then, it bent its knees to her in a bow.
Love smiled in relief, she was careful but instead of patting the beak as many were doing Love patted the side of its neck, as she did with Peggy. Soon the Hippogriff was tilting its head towards her hand, obviously wanting more and Love was more than happy to oblige.
She had been too immersed in her Hippogriff to notice Malfoy's voice, not until he had let a high-pitched scream she did, making her gasp and turn from the creature to the source of the commotion.
She watches as Hagrid wrestler Buckbeak back into his collar as he strained to get at Malfoy, who lay curled in the grass, blood blossoming over his robes.
Concern waves over her as she watches Draco struggle on the floor.
"Holy shit," Padma said as she made her way toward Love with Emma not far behind.
"I'm dying!" He yelled as the class panicked. "I'm dying, look at me! It's killed me!"
"Yer not dyin'!" said Hagrid, who had gone very white. "Someone help me -- gotta get him outta here --"
Love was quick to act, she ran to hold open the gate as Hagrid lifted Draco easily and as they passed, Love got to see a long, deep gash on his arm making her worry further as blood splattered the grass and Hagrid ran with him, up the slope toward the castle.
"What happened?" Love asked Emmanuel and Padma as they walked behind Hagrid, ignoring the Slytherins shouting about Hagrid.
"They should sack him straight away!" said Pansy Parkinson, who was in tears.
"It was Malfoy's fault!" snapped Dean Thomas. Crabbe and Goyle flexed their muscles threateningly.
"The instructions were clear, he didn't follow them, it's his fault." Anthony Goldstein, a Ravenclaw yelled at them.
"Why are you taking their side, Goldstein?" Someone asked but Love couldn't care less as she turned to her friends expectantly.
"Malfoy being Malfoy." Padma rolled her eyes, hoisting her satchel up her shoulder.
"He was saying rude things to the Hippogriff, and well, Buckbeak didn't take it lightly and rightfully so." Emma crossed his arms, "Honestly, he had it coming."
"Emmanuel." Love scowled, making him throw his arms up in defeat.
"Listen, I know you two are acquaintances for some reason, but that doesn't make it any less true." He defended himself.
Love rolled her eyes, ignoring the comment as they all climbed the stone steps into the deserted entrance hall.
"I'm going to see if he's okay!" said Pansy, and they all watched her run up the marble staircase.
The Slytherins, were still muttering about Hagrid, headed away in the direction of their dungeon common room, the Gryffindors were muttering it was Draco's fault on their way to their tower and the Ravenclaws were silently agreeing with both Houses, first it was risky to interact with such creatures but Hagrid did give them all detailed, easy instructions in how not to end up stumped over like Draco was.
"I just hope he's alright." Love mumbles once she's inside the common room.
Padma threw her arm around the girl. "I'm sure the wimp's fine, now would we start searching for wanderlust?"
🤍
Harry, Hermione and Ron were among the first to reach the Great Hall at dinnertime, hoping to see Hagrid, but he wasn't there, but someone else was.
"Harry, isn't that your father and uncle?" Asked Hermione once they sat down at the Gryffindor table.
James Potter and Sirius Black sitting on the Professor's table, on each side of Remus Lupin. Harry frowned, as he watched his dad talk amicably with Professor McGonagall, and his uncles talking with each other, wondering why they were there.
"Yeah..." he sighs and chooses to ignore them until they, inevitably, come to him.
Ron frowns in confusion. "What do you reckon they 're here for?"
"I think it's because of the dementor incident yesterday," Hermione said, glancing at Harry who rolled his eyes.
"Brilliant." He muttered sarcastically, a hand running down his face, just what he needed, and no doubt they'll hear all about Trelawney's prediction too.
The students began to flood inside the Hall, but while his peers sat next to him he heard his father make loud calls of his name, making him grimace.
"Harry!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, waving his hand like a madman. "Harry, son— Harry!"
Harry's cheeks reddened as he turned to his father with a glare, who only smiled mischievously and sent him a wink. Of course, he had done that on purpose, his father lived for embarrassing his son.
Thankfully, the feast soon began, and they all tucked in, people around them were talking about the incident at Care Of Magical Creatures.
"They wouldn't fire him, would they?" said Hermione anxiously, not touching her steak-and-kidney pudding.
"They'd better not," said Ron, who wasn't eating either.
Harry was watching the Slytherin table. A large group including Crabbe and Goyle was huddled together, deep in conversation. Harry was sure they were cooking up their own version of how Malfoy had been injured.
"Well, you can't say it wasn't an interesting first day back," said Ron gloomily.
Once the feast was done Harry tried to follow the Gryffindor students back to their common room but he was detained by his father.
"Harry, there you are," said his father, stopping him from taking a step further along the staircase. He turned to his friend with his ever warm welcoming smile. "Hermione, Ron, nice to see you again."
"You too, Mr Potter." Hermione politely smiled back whilst Ron grinned waving his hand. "Mr Potter."
"Two years and you still call me Mr Potter, it's just James," he smiled at them before motioning his head down at his son. "Would you two mind if I borrow this handsome devil for a minute?"
"Of course not," Hermione said, sending Harry a quick smile.
Ron nods. "See you in the common room, mate."
And with that, they were gone.
"What are you doing here?" Harry asks, slightly annoyed.
Sirius suddenly appeared on his other side, holding a hand to his chest theatrically. "Ouch, that's not a way to greet your favourite uncle."
"I don't see uncle moony around..."
The older man gasps and sends him an over-dramatic, betrayed look. "After everything we've done together? I'm just tossed aside like an unwanted chocolate frog card, you are a cruel godson."
Harry gave him a deadpan look, before looking between his dad and uncle. "What are you doing here?"
"We just wanted to check up on you," James admits, concerned eyes roaming his son's form. "Remus sent us a letter yesterday, about what happened on the train,"
"We were worried, Harry," Sirius told him.
Harry sighs, first Madam Pomfrey thinks he's delicate, then Malfoy and his cronies' constant teasing and now his father and uncle.
"I'm fine, there's no need for this visit." He said hotly.
Sirius purses his lips. "We just wanted to make sure."
"Again, I'm all right."
"And we know that now," James said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Which reminds me that your mum is so mad you didn't owl her, don't worry I kept her from sending a howler, but there's only so much I can do, son."
"I didn't think it was a big deal." Harry shrugged, feeling slightly guilty for worrying his mother. "Tell mum, I'm sorry."
"She knows." James smiled, letting him go. "Now go on, to bed, I'm sure you're tired."
Harry purses his lips, thinking to say that he's not a child anymore for him to send to bed but he was tired so he just nodded, giving him a quick smile, he waves at his father and uncle before beginning the climb the stairs again but just at another step–
"Oh and Harry,"
The boy turns to face his family in expectation, just as the staircase moved out of place making him stumble a little.
James and Sirius grinned at each other. "You'll see us around more often,"
"What?" He shouted as the distance between them was getting longer yet he was sure he would have still yelled regardless of the distance.
"Yeah, just a few times a week, for security things, you know." Sirius shrugged innocently with a less innocent smirk on his face.
"No," He grumbles, leaning against the railing.
"We love you too."
Once Harry finally arrived at his crowded Gryffindor common room, he sat with Hermione and Ron and told them his latest news reluctantly as they tried to do the homework Professor McGonagall had given them, Hermione thought it was a brilliant Idea, more security while Ron just nodded in agreement, he likes to have Harry's father and uncle around, as does Harry but not all the time, eventually, they all turn back to their work but all three of them kept breaking off and glancing out of the tower window.
"There's a light on in Hagrid's window," Harry said suddenly.
Ron looked at his watch.
"If we hurried, we could go down and see him. It's still quite early..."
"I don't know," Hermione said slowly, and Harry saw her glance at him.
"I'm allowed to walk across the grounds," he said pointedly. "Peter Pettigrew hasn't got past the Dementors yet, has he?"
So they put their things away and headed out of the portrait hole, glad to meet nobody on their way to the front doors, as they weren't entirely sure they were supposed to be out.
🤍
Meanwhile, on the other side of the castle, Love Emerson entered the Hospital Wing, looking for a certain bleach blonde, yet not entirely happy to see him.
"Draco, you're such daft." She announced herself, as she approach his bed, noticing the bandages on his right arm.
Draco looked up from the book he was reading, probably one that one of his friends brought for him, and scoff rolling his eyes once he saw her. "I'm on a hospital bed and that's the first thing you say to me, nice to know I'm appreciated."
"It's not like you deserve any sympathy coming from me," Love told him, eyes hardening. "As a matter of fact, I shouldn't even be here even less talking to you, as I remember you said 'I don't even know why am I speaking with you, Emeron' sounds familiar?"
Draco purses his lips, looking uncharacteristically guilty. "I didn't mean it, Crabbe and Gole were there and–"
"Right, because you being friends with a muggle-born is such a scandal." She crosses her arms, eyes cold as they stared down at Draco.
"It's complicated and you know that, " He sighs, his book long forgotten. " Regardless, I shouldn't have said that, it was just at the sprung of the moment."
Love pursed her lips, thinking back at the previous year when she was assigned to sit next to him in charms, he was a right brat at first, making comments here and there which Love just ignored or say a few herself back. After a few classes together, Love realized that his gradings in the class were not great, she didn't say anything about it though, not until Professor Flitwick commented on them, asking Love to help him just a few times after class. To tutor him.
At first, of course, both refused profoundly but the old professor told Love that he'll give her extra credit if she did and reminded Draco that all Quidditch players needed a certain level of grades in school to be on the team, so reluctantly they ended up in a secluded part of the library, – per his request– for his tutoring.
It was hard at first, as expected, but after a little, while both became somewhat of acquaintances, Love made him realize that both of them benefited from these tutoring sessions and it was not like anyone would see them and eventually they became friends which led them to share a few things with one another.
Draco's attitude changed towards her a bit when she told him she was adopted, Love was well aware of why the factor changed things for him, of his perspective of her, because her true lineage was unknown, open to be anything, even pureblood. On the other hand, Love found out that Draco Malfoy was much more than he let on, he was complicated, and he was brought up in a cold, closeminded household which unfortunately, in the muggle world that's pretty common, Love herself had received a few nasty comments for it, because of who her family is but she believes people like that are just guided in life wrongly and can change given the chance, so, she gave Draco a chance.
But of course, Rome wasn't built in a day, there was an unspoken condition for the friendship to happen. They never talked if not in private, because Draco Malfoy, the pureblooded Slytherin would be the laugh of his house if was seen interacting more than necessary with a muggle-born girl.
Love didn't think the whole blood thing was that deep, both of them are humans, bleed red, have warm blood, have the same organs, and feel things, but alas she let him be for the sake of their friendship but that doesn't mean she's going to forgive everything he does or say, there have been a few occasions where he crosses a line and she had to set him straight like she was currently doing.
"I didn't mean it, Love, really, it's just... my friends wouldn't understand." Draco moved forwards and grabbed her forearm with his good one, making her look at him
"Oh, alright." Love sighs, arms going limp to her side before taking his hand on hers. "I forgive you, but I really don't like that lot you hang with, Crabbe's aggressive."
"He just has half a brain cell, don't hold it against him,"
Love snorted, shaking her head, she sat down on the near chair, "So, how are you feeling?"
"It comes and goes, Madam Pomfrey said I could have lost my arm," Draco said, struggling to hold her bandaged arm up for her to see.
Love narrows her eyes, knowing her friend likes to add more than necessary to the stories. "Lost a limb? Draco get serious."
"I am, that... beast could've ripped it off." He sneered, eyes going cold. "All because of that bloody halfbreed–"
"Draco." Love snapped, eyes narrowing, she absolutely despised it when he spoke like that, and he knew and yet it always slipt.
He rolled his eyes, "I'm hoping he gets sacked."
"Oh, for Rowena's sake Draco, he doesn't deserve that, can't you just leave the man alone?"
"Look at me, Love," He snapped, eyes narrowing. "He's not fit to be a professor."
"We don't know that yet, but... "she sighs knowing it would be useless to talk to him at the moment when he's still hot and bothered about what happened. "Whatever, let's talk about something else, like, how were your holidays?"
"Good," He shrugged, as if it was nothing special had happened. "Went to my summer manor in France, Pansy came over repeatedly, wouldn't stop following me around, it was vexing and the worst of all, mother thinks we're getting married,"
"Ah, just imagine, Pansy Malfoy, the lady of the Malfoy Manor, how nice." Love said in a dreamy voice, hands clapping together in fake fascination.
"Stop, that'll never happen," Draco shuddered, before grabbing her hand once again. "What about you?"
"Well, my holidays were also pretty great," She said, smiling at the memories, "Went to Singapore and then visit my grandparents, it was actually refreshing to visit them for a change."
"You look different this year." He told her suddenly.
Love's smile wavered, mind subconsciously racing,  "What do you mean?"
"Just..." He looked down at their hands and shrugged. "Different."
"Why thank you, Draco." She rolled her eyes, pursing her lips."It's just probably my stress levels taking over."
"Why are you stressed about? Classes had just started bloody Ravenclaws."
"I lost my journal, and I can't find it anywhere." Love's face turns into a distressed expression.
"Well, when did you last see it?" Draco asks, sitting up slightly.
"Ugh, no don't start, I already turn my head over because of that question, I refuse to go through that again, at least not tonight."
Draco rolled his eyes, leaning back against his pillow. "Don't worry your head that much, it is just a book."
"It's not just that–"
That's when Madam Pomfrey came by, interrupting their conversation.
"Dear, visiting hours are over, you must leave for him to get some rest and recover."
"Sorry, Madam Pomfrey, I'll take my leave then." Love smiled at her politely nodding her head before turning to Draco with a small smile, "Curfew's calling,"
He squeezes her hand, smiling at her softly. "I'll see you later, alright?."
"Sure."
And with that, she left but not before giving Madam Pomfrey one last polite smile.

| MASTERLIST |
Out at Hagrid's hut we knock on the door so when he opens it pointing a huge crossbow at us we were shocked. "What's that for?" Harry asks him.
"Oh, nothing. I was expecting... it's doesn't matter." He lets us three in.
"Look, we have to ask you something. Do you know who's opened the Chamber of Secrets?" Harry asks him.
"What you have to understand about that..." Hagrid is cut off by knocking at his door so we get under the cloak to hide.
Hagrid lets Dumbledore and the Minister of Magic in. They tell him that Hagrid has a record against him so they have to take him to Azkaban. Lucius Malfoy then shows us taking crap about him and saying that he has an order of suspension for Dumbledore. Dumbledore gives us a look while he talks to Malfoy before leaving with him.
"If anybody was looking for some stuff, then all they'd have to do would be to follow the spiders." Hagrid then leaves too.
"Come on." Harry tells us to follow him.
We go out of the hut and tells us to follow the spiders. "Harry, I don't like this at all." Ron whines.
"Shush." Harry tells him so I grab Ron's hand.
"I hate spiders too." I let him know.
"Can we go back now?" He cries to Harry squeezing my hand.
"Come on." He tells us. I hold onto Ron terrified of the spiders.
"Who is it? Hagrid? Is that you?" A raspy voice calls out.
"We're friends of Hagrid's." Harry says before we see a huge spider leg making us step back. He comes out all the way making me whine.
Harry calls him Aragon saying Hagrid needs help. Ron and I look around and we see more spiders that are big too. "Harry." Ron cries but he doesn't listen. Ron and me hold each other closer terrified. "Harry..." Ron tugs at him making him snap do we point up at all the spiders.
"Can we leave now?" I cry holding on to Ron for dear life as they all come down around us.
Harry tells the spider that we will go now but he tells us that he only promised that they won't harm Hagrid. "Can we panic now?" Ron asks.
We pull out our wands then the car shows up to help is. "Let's go!" I jump in first getting in the back with Fang. Ron drives but the spiders follow us. "Go!" I scream at him. I look behind us seeing them all making me want to scream more.
Once we were out of the forest the car drives away again. "We know one thing. Hagrid never opened the Chamber of Secrets."
-
"You should really quit sneaking away from everyone." Mattheo finds us in the halls after we found out what the monster is after visiting Hermione when we got back.
"Is my dumbass going to get in trouble?" I cross my arms at him.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you." He sighs before we hear all teachers need to go to the second floor so we all run to see.
We hear that Ginny was taken to the Chamber of Secrets making us all look at each other. Harry says we need to give warm Lockhart so we run to go see him too. When we open his office door we see him packing up to leave.
"You wrote them!" Harry shouts at him.
"He's a fake Harry." I tell him.
"Your sister is right. Do you use your common sense!" Lockhart goes to explain that he just took credit for what other wizards have done.
"Is there anything you can do?" Mattheo asks.
"I'm rather gifted with memory charms. Otherwise, you see, all those wizards would have gone blabbing, and I'd never have sold another book." He then picks up his wand pointing it at us so we all do the same to him.
We all go to Moaning Myrtle to figure out how she died and we figure out the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is the sink. Harry opens it and we look down the hole. "Excellent, Harry. Ah, good work. Well, then, I'll just be... There's no need for me to stay." He tries to leave out I just push him into the home.
"Hazel." The boys look at me.
"What? You would end up doing the same." I shrug my shoulders.
"It's really quite filthy down here." We hear Lockhart.
"All right, let's go." Harry says so we one by one jump and slide die the pipe and land in pile of bones.
"That's a huge snakeskin." I say walking beside Harry with Mattheo close to me.
"Heart of a lions, this one." Ron said as Lockhart falls down.
He just fake it taking Ron's wand saying how he already has a story about what's going to happen. "Say goodbye to your memories." He tells Harry.
"You mean yourself?" I say as he shouts obliviate causing the spell to backfire on him sending him flying back. Him hitting the walls makes the spot between us there and Ron fill up with large rocks. Us three go on to find Ginny while Ron tries to move some rocks. "Carful Harry." I say as he goes first. We come to a large room filled with stone snake heads and see Ginny laying on the floor.
We rush over to her begging her to get up. "She won't wake." We hear another person and we look over to see an older boy.
"Tom. Tom Riddle." Harry says as he comes closer to us.
I look at Mattheo then Tom and back at Mattheo. How the hell was his dad sixteen.
"She's still alive, but only just." He tells Harry.
"Are you a ghost?" Harry asks him.
"A memory preserved in a diary for 50 years." He takes Harry's wand as Harry takes to Ginny.
"Give me my wand Tom." Harry tells him and Tom explains he can't help because the weaker Ginny gets the stronger he gets. He then tells us that he made Ginny do everything and that he framed Hagrid.
"I knew I couldn't try to persuade my own son to open the Chamber of Secrets because of Dumbledore kept a close eye on me he would do the same to my own son." Tom says adding before saying for many months now he's new target has been Harry.
"How is it with a baby with no extraordinary magical talent was able to defeat the greatest wizard of all time? How did you escape with nothing but a scar and how did you die and come back? While Lord Voldemort's powers were destroyed?" Tom gets mad.
"Why do you care how we escaped? Voldemort was after your time." Harry tells him.
"Voldemort is my past, present future." Tom writes out is full name the moves the letters are to spell, I am Lord Voldemort.
I look at Mattheo, who was looking at the floor. "You kept that from me." I tear up while Harry tells Tom he's the Heir of Slytherin.
"You're Voldemort." Harry says making Tom turn around.
"Surely you didn't think I was going to keep my filthy Muggle father's name? No. I fashioned myself a new name... a name I knew wizards everywhere would one day fear to speak when I became the greatest sorcerer in the world."
Both Harry and Tom go at each other about Dumbledore before Tom calls the snake. As I see it's head I step back and Mattheo grabs my hand pulling me out of the way. "Harry!" I scream at he trips. "Harry run and hide!" I scream before getting down next to Ginny trying to wake her up.
Harry comes back and the snake shows up again. "Hat." I see the Sword of Gryffindor appear. "Careful Harry I shout as he climbs.
"Shut it." Tom points the wand at me so Mattheo steps in front of me keeping me behind him away from Tom.
Harry kills the snake upsetting Tom Riddle. "Remarkable isn't it, how quickly the venom of the basilisk penetrates the body? I'd guess you have little more than a minute to live. You'll be with your dear Mudblood mother soon, Harry. Then I'll let your sister join you." Tom tells him while Mattheo bends down grabbing the book. "What are you doing?" He asks as Mattheo opens the book putting it in front of Harry then grabs the tooth off the ground giving it to him.
"You should." Mattheo tells him then walks back to me.
"Stop! No!" Tom shouts right before Harry stabs the diary.
Once he was gone Ginny wakes up saying she did it all not meaning to and the phoenix heals Harry. The four of us head back to Ron with Lockhart and the bird flies us all out back up to the school. The next morning the four of us meet with Dumbledore in his office.
"The four of you realize, of course... that in the past few hours, you have broken perhaps a dozen school rules. And there is sufficient evidence to have you all expelled. Therefore...it is only fitting... that you four receive Special Awards for Services to the School." He tells us then sends Ron to have an owl send a letter to Azkaban to get Hagrid back. "Mr. Riddle, you have proven to me that you are not wanting to follow in your father's footsteps. I'm sorry for being so cautious about you. You may go." Dumbledore tells him so he leaves. "Miss Potter, I believe you have someone you need to talk to." He smiles so I go follow Mattheo.
"Mattheo!" I shout to get him to stop. "Why didn't you just tell me?" I ask him.
"I should have just told you my father was... Voldemort. The man who killed your parents. You would have never wanted to speak to me again. You would have assumed I would be just like him. I didn't want to lose a friend like you." He gets loud.
"Maybe that could have happened! But I know it wouldn't have gone that way because I knew you for who you were. Now though... My trust is a little weak. I understand you helped kill the memory of your father but you didn't trust me. The amount of times you have talked about him and never told me. It's not like I would've told anyone because what we talk about is only between us." My voice cracks. "I just need a day alone from you." I say looking down and he leaves me.
"What did you tell him?" Harry walks up to me looking at Mattheo walking away.
"Hurt he didn't just tell me who his dad was. He's talked about how bad he was, not wanting to be like him or want anything to do with him. That my trust in him is a little weak now. I just want the day away from him." I sigh sitting down.
"I understand you two are super close but his father is Voldemort. I don't want you being so close to him anymore. He can always to be like his father and use your friendship as a weakness to get to you. To us." Harry makes me look at him.
"You want me to stop being friends with him?" I stand up straight.
"I'm sorry."
I laugh, "No. You can't make that decision for me." I walk away.

Bully- Draco Malfoy x OC
Draco Malfoy x Cecily Sadler
Description: Even love has its limits. Cecily’s limit is Draco constantly teasing Harry mercilessly about the Dementors now guarding the school while Sirius Black is out of Azkaban. When Draco finally strikes her last nerve, she puts him in his place, even though it meant breaking up with him. Draco wants redemption.
Word Count: 2.3k
Tumblr media
She had no idea what had gotten into Draco. Of course she knew that he was a bully, but he had been getting better slowly. With Sirius Black having escaped from Azkaban, everyone was on edge. Cecily was no exception, she was a bit scared about the fact that the ex prisoner was potentially after her friend.
When she found out that Dementors, the Azkaban guards, were being brought in to guard the school, she was even more scared. She ran into one on the Hogwarts Express and it was the worst thing she’d ever experienced. If it hadn’t been for the new DADA teacher, Professor Lupin, hadn’t been there to intervene, Cecily had the feeling that she would have felt a lot worse than just cold. The next morning at breakfast, everyone had heard about what happened to Harry on the train, and Draco was not about to let the chance slip by.
“Potter. Potter!” He snapped, successfully grabbing the attention of Harry, Ron and Hermione. “You fainted, Potter? Is Longbottom telling the truth? You actually fainted!” He asked amusedly.
“Shut up Malfoy,” Ron warned. Draco didn’t seem affected.
“Did you faint as well, Weasley?’ said Malfoy loudly. ‘Did the scary old Dementors frighten you, too, Weasley?” Ron looked like he was ready to hit the boy, but stopped when Cecily walked over to them.
“Draco knock it off,” she scolded gently. The boy in question frowned like a child caught with his hand caught in the cookie jar then turned around once more.
“I was just coming over to see if you were okay,” Cecily continued, looking at Harry. “I heard what happened.” The boy looked a bit embarrassed, but nodded.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks Cec,” he responded. The girl nodded and ruffled his hair jokingly, making the boy chuckle.
“Well, if you want to talk about it, I’m always here for you,” she offered before taking a seat beside her boyfriend, who didn’t exactly look happy.
The Care for Magical Creatures class was filled with a mix of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Slytherin students. Cecily had to admit she was excited and nervous for the class since it was Hagrid’s first ever class. She wanted it to be perfect for him since he had been so nervous before.
The man in question was waiting for his class at the door of his hut with Fang by his side. He called for everyone to get a move on as the class approached. The Slytherin students were already there when the remaining two houses got there.
“Got a real treat for yeh today! Great lesson comin’ up! Everyone here? Right, follow me,” Hagrid instructed, beginning to walk to the edge of the trees. Cecily made her way to stand beside Draco, who took her hand before walking with everyone else. The class followed obediently and just five minutes later they found themselves outside a kind of paddock.
“Everyone gather ‘round the fence here,” Hagrid called. “That’s it- make sure yeh can see. Now, firs’ thing you'll want ter do is open yer books,” he started, but was cut off by Draco.
“How?” Draco asked coldly, making Cecily smack his arm in a scold.
“Eh?” Hagrid asked, facing him. Draco didn’t seem to learn his lesson from Cecily’s hit because he continued in the same tone.
“How do we open our books?”He repeated, holding up his copy of “The Monster Book of Monsters.” It had been tied shut with a length of rope. The others took out their books as well, all of which was also bound with rope or a belt, including Cecily’s. She was stumped herself.
“Has- hasn’ anyone been able ter open their books?” Hagrid asked, sounding disappointed and looking it as well. The class shook their heads.
“Yeh’ve got ter stroke ‘em,” he explained, taking Cecily’s book as an example. The teacher removed the belt from around it and ran his forefinger down the spine. The book shivered before falling open and laying quiet in his hand. Looking at it now, Cecily felt a bit stupid. It seemed obvious to her now.
“Oh, how silly we’ve all been!” Draco sneered. “We should have stroked them! Why didn’t we guess?” Hagrid looked at Cecily with uncertainty.
“I...I thought they were funny,” he muttered softly. Cecily’s heart broke at his now downcast demeanor.
“Oh tremendously funny!” Draco said. “Really witty, giving us books that try to rip our hands off-” Harry cut him off.
“Shut up Malfoy,” he snapped, facing him. Draco was about to say something, but Cecily also came to Hagrid’s defense.
“Seriously Draco. Hagrid didn’t know that we didn’t know what to do, and he just wanted to make the class fun. You can’t fault him for that,” she stated. Her hair turned red with anger as she talked. That was an indicator to her boyfriend that he should shut up, so he did.
Cecily still hadn’t settled down after class ended. Normally a girlfriend would be worried when her boyfriend got hurt, but that was not the case for her. Not only was she still angry about Draco mocking Hagrid for his chosen textbooks, but Buckbeak attacking him was his own fault. Hagrid specifically told them that Hippogriffs were extremely proud creatures and they’re aggressive when threatened.
It made Cecily so mad that Draco couldn’t stand to not being in the spotlight while Harry and Buckbeak got comfortable with each other. That resulted in her not talking to him while he milked all the attention from his arm sling. When they did start talking, Cecily was still a bit upset.
Just when she was ready to forgive him, she heard about Buckbeak’s hearing. His case wasn’t looking so good, not even with Hermione and Cecily helping Hagrid. Lucius Malfoy’s hold on the Ministry was just too strong. More than likely, Buckbeak would have to be executed. Cecily found herself not talking to him once again.
The quidditch match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw came about not long after that. Cecily of course cheered for her friends on the Gryffindor team and sat with Hermione and Ron. Out of nowhere dark figures appeared near Harry as he tried to grab the Golden Snitch. Everyone thought they were Dementors, coming back onto the field again. Cecily gasped when Harry pulled out his wand, yelling out a spell that made a bright white and blue light emitted from it. That successfully knocked the dark figures away, and everyone was shocked to realize it was Draco in his crew.
"An unworthy trick! A low and cowardly attempt to sabotage the Gryffindor Seeker! Detention for all of you, and fifty points from Slytherin! I shall be speaking to Professor Dumbledore about this, make no mistake!" She heard Professor McGonagall yell as she, along with the rest of the students, ran onto the field. Once she stormed away, Draco finally noticed his girlfriend standing in front of them.
“Cec-” he started as he stood up, but stopped when Cecily stepped forward and slapped his cheek as hard as she could. Draco’s eyes widened and he held his cheek, staring at her confusedly. He didn’t have time to say anything before she did.
“How dare you!” She yelled, tearing up. “What is the matter with you, Malfoy!? You torment people constantly, and for what? Because you’re too damn insecure? Because of you, Buckbeak is going to die! All because you were too selfish to share the spotlight that didn’t even exist to Harry. And the Dementors are serious creatures and they’re absolutely terrifying! Harry is right to get defensive when he sees something that looks remotely close to one of them, what they do to people is absolutely awful and scary. I bet you didn’t even realize that I was almost attacked by a Dementor as well, huh?” She asked, making his shoulder drop. That was all the answer she needed.
“No,” she answered for him verbally. “Of course you didn’t. Because you only care about yourself. You’re nothing but a cruel and selfish bully.”
“Cecily,” he breathed out, not knowing what to say. The girl only shook her head and took off a necklace he’d given her for Christmas.
“Here, take this and call me when you get your head out of your arse,” she snapped, beginning to push through the crowd to get away from him. She couldn’t stand to be around him anymore at the moment. Draco only watched her, defeated. His love just broke up with him.
No one saw Cecily much after their public breakup. She couldn’t really bring herself to do much else other than go to classes. Yes, she had been the one to call it quits, but she really did love him. But even love had its limits. Draco’s bullying was incessant and cruel to others and she couldn’t stay with him if he continued.
That seemed to finally make him realize that he actually was in the wrong. People began noticing that he wasn’t bullying other students (or teachers, Hagrid specifically) anymore and he was a lot kinder to others. Harry nearly had a heart attack when he saw Draco helping a first year Gryffindor with their Potions work. Of course this didn’t go unnoticed by Cecily. However, she needed to see that he actually changed before she could forgive him.
Tumblr media
The day of Buckbeak’s execution came around, and Cecily made sure to be by Hagrid’s side for it. He tried to convince her to leave before McNair, Fudge and Dumbledore arrived, but she wouldn’t budge. Even Fudge attempted to get the girl to leave so she wouldn’t have to witness it.
“Hagrid deserves to have someone by his side while his pet is unfairly executed,” Cecily stated firmly, taking a step closer to Hagrid. Fudge looked hesitant, but Dumbledore only gave her a small smile.
“That’s very brave, Miss Sadler. I’m sure Hagrid appreciates it, don’t you?” He asked, giving the man a pointed look. Hagrid nodded quickly and patted Cecily’s shoulder, almost making her fall over from the force of it.
She stood between Dumbledore and Hagrid as McNair got ready. Hagrid was already crying and blowing his nose into a handkerchief Cecily offered him. She took his free hand in hers then looked at Fudge.
“There’s really nothing we can do, Mr. Fudge?” She asked helplessly, attempting to hold back tears. Fudge gave her a sympathetic look and sighed.
“Unfortunately, no-” he began only to be cut off by another voice.
“Wait!” The person called, making everyone turn to the source. It was Draco, much to everyone’s surprise. He was running downhill, looking a bit dishevelled. Cecily’s eyes widened when he got to the bottom of the hill by Hagrid’s hut, clutching a folded piece of paper in his hand tightly.
“I...I have a pardon,” he spoke breathlessly, holding up the paper. “I have a pardon for Buckbeak,” he repeated after finally catching his breath. Fudge stared at him incredulously then took the letter from Draco, reading it aloud.
“We hereby pardon the Hippogriff “Buckbeak” from his execution on June 6, 1994. Reason for pardon: the victim, Draco Malfoy, has recanted his account of what happened and has dropped the charges. Signed members of the Ministry of Magic- Kingsley Shacklebolt, John Dawlish, Ludovic Bagman, Rufus Scrimgeour and Pius Thicknesse,” he concluded to fold the paper and look at Hagrid, Dumbledore and Cecily. Hagrid and Cecily stared at him hopefully, and he hummed thoughtfully.
“Well, the rules are that at least five Ministry of Magic members must endorse a statement or pardon. Since there were five signatures, who am I to contest it?” He asked with a small smile. “I hereby state that the Hippogriff, Buckbeak, is free of all charges and will not be executed,” he announced formally. Cecilly let out an excited cry and hugged Hagrid, who picked her up and spun her in a hug. She was too excited to care that it felt like her back was about to break. McNair looked upset that he didn’t get to go through with the execution, but no one seemed to care. Fudge simply looked at Dumbledore and Hagrid.
“Come along, we have to sign the form as well,” he instructed. Hagrid nodded and gave Cecily one last beaming smile before leading everyone back into his home. Cecily was still smiling brightly when she looked at Draco. Without warning she threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
“Oh, thank you Draco. You have no idea what this means to me,” she muttered into his ear. The boy smiled and returned the hug, staring down at her.
“Listen Cecily,” he started quietly. “I’ve been an arse this year, I won’t deny it. Every single thing I did to Potter was awful and uncalled for, especially with the Dementors. They truly are terrifying, and I didn't know you had to deal with one at some point. Just saying that I’m sorry wouldn’t even begin to cover all that I’ve said and done but-” Cecily cut him off.
“I forgive you.” He was just about to get annoyed with her for interrupting him when he processed what she said.
“Wait what?” He asked, not believing his ears. She giggled at his appalled stare.
“I said I forgive you. What you did just now doesn’t cover all that you’ve done, but it’s a promising start,” she stated simply.
“Does that mean you’d want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?” He asked. Cecily smiled brightly and nodded, kissing his cheek.
“I would love to.” A lazy smile settled on his face after she finished speaking and his arms slid down to her waist.
“You missed,” he informed her. She was confused for a moment, but Draco answered her unanswered question by kissing her. She responded immediately, wrapping her arms around his neck. Once they pulled away, Cecily rested her forehead against his with a playful smile tugging at her lips.
“Better?” She teased, making Draco chuckle.
“Much better.”

Hey. Thanks for answering my last ask. I did like Tom/Lily back at my day (lol as if I'm that old) but to be fair...any ship with Lily is better than Jilly.
One question. What you think of Hinny and Luna x Ginny? Cause nit gone lie I think Luna x Ginny has more potential than Hinny. But maybe is because I love the trope "pop falls for unpop"
... I’m not sure I’m supposed to feel as insulted as I do that I apparently barely cleared the very low bar that is Jily.
Moving on.
I’ve given most of my thoughts on Ginny and shipping here.
Harry/Ginny
To sum up for what you’re asking though, I think Harry/Ginny is a complete disaster. Oh, Harry’s the only one she has eyes for but... it is not a good relationship.
Both of them are attracted to the idea of one another and barely seem to know who the other is.
In the case of Ginny, she tries to be someone who she thinks Harry will be attracted to. She takes note of what failed with his relationship with Cho and goes out of her way not to be that. All of her actions in the sixth book are geared towards desperately getting Harry’s attention. More, she projected this heroic persona onto Harry Potter that she never seems to see anything beneath it.
Harry for his own part... likes Ginny’s skin? His attraction to her in Halfblood Prince is one of the weirdest things I have ever read. He seems to lust after her, sort of, we get this green rage monster that throws a fit every time he sees Dean Thomas with Ginny. However, he really doesn’t know much about her and proceeds to barely spend any time with her even when they start dating. That he leaves her in Deathly Hallows is very telling, and very chilling to me. Not only is Ginny not a part of “the gang” and not invited to their club house, Harry is effectively leaving her to be taken hostage by Voldemort. This doesn’t bother him, at all, but then nothing really does.
I also think Harry’s gay (he spends a lot more time drooling after attractive men in canon then he does attractive women), he just doesn’t know it.
So, I think his and Ginny’s marriage is likely a disaster. Ginny has affairs all the time as nothing works out the way she thought it would but is too in love with the fame, the money, and the dream of being Harry Potter’s wife to ever leave. Harry’s utterly oblivious to his wife cheating on him and has to have it pointed out by James Sirius. Harry doesn’t believe him.
I’ll put it like this, their marriage is worse than Ron and Hermione’s. And that, my friend, is a low bar.
A Tangent: Ginny’s Not Popular
I’m actually going to argue that Ginny’s not at all popular. In fact, I imagine she’s actually severely disliked. Harry’s just too oblivious to notice.
So, first, Ginny is the youngest sister of the Weasley family. We see the hit this has on Ron, who has a massive inferiority complex, but we don’t see what it means to Ginny. What we can assume though, is that she’s known, and that the instant she walks into school she has a reputation that’s not necessarily good.
Percy, her brother, is that smarmy asshole prefect.
Fred and George are those assholes who constantly prank everyone. Some think this is hilarious, usually when they’re not the victims, others aren’t too keen on this.
Ron’s that guy who’s constantly getting into trouble with Harry Potter, is a known dumbass who doesn’t even have a working wand in his second year (wizards are elitist like this), and earns hundreds of house points at the end of the year for committing arson.
All of this will feed into how people perceive Ginny before even meeting her. For better or for worse, she is a Weasley, and that means people will see her a certain way.
And then Ginny has the worst first year imaginable.
She isolates herself and pours her heart and soul into a diary. Every second she’s spending talking to Tom Riddle is a second she’s not making friends. More, Ginny’s behavior becomes more and more erratic as Tom Riddle begins to possess her. She starts missing classes, acting strangely, etc.
And I think it’s damning that no one noticed.
No one is watching Ginny, no one is even around her, so if she disappears for a few hours and wakes up covered in blood in the bathroom, nobody knows. Had Tom not written a message informing the entire school that Ginny had been kidnapped, no one would have noticed, Ginny would have died down there in the chamber and it would have been days until someone, maybe, put it together.
Ginny in her first year has no friends.
And then it’s too late.
We see with Harry that people in Hogwarts form friendships fast and they rarely change. You get your clique in you first few weeks of Hogwarts, and if you’re unlucky like Hermione then it takes a few months and a troll nearly killing you to find your group, and then you stick with that group.
Ginny comes back second year, everyone already has their best friends, there’s no room for her. She tries to integrate into a group, they just give her weird looks, and more remember her as that sickly lunatic.
Because remember, that she was possessed is not known beyond a few people. It’s never publicized, and most probably think Harry or Hagrid was behind the Chamber of Secrets Fiasco II: Electric Boogaloo.
So, you get a bunch of kids who don’t want to hang out with Ginny. And, Hogwarts houses are so insular, that Ginny can’t really go and hang out with anyone else.
For all that Ginny joins the quidditch team, for all she joins the DA, I don’t think she ever really has friends. She’s just the youngest and weirdest Weasley.
And then comes her fifth year.
Ginny decides she’s going to date every guy in Hogwarts to get Harry’s attention. Now, good or bad, this is going to get Ginny a reputation, a very negative one. To the male Hogwarts population: Ginny’s an easy lay. To the female Hogwarts population: Ginny’s that bitch who will steal your boyfriend.
Halfblood Prince will not make Ginny any friends.
Ginny/Luna
It has more potential than Harry/Ginny but I personally don’t think it’s going to happen.
Like everyone else, Ginny looks down on Luna, which is a bit hilarious as per the above I don’t think Ginny’s rolling in popularity either. Luna’s weirdness is tolerated at best in a sort of, “Oh, look how cute and nuts she is, let’s pat Luna on the head.”
More, as I explained in the Ginny shipping meta linked, Ginny only has eyes for Harry and I think it would take a lot for her to look in any other direction. And to go for Looney Lovegood instead?
Part of Harry’s appeal is that he’s Wizarding Jesus, he’s important, wonderful, charming, a prince in Ginny’s eyes. Luna’s that batty girl who lives down the street and has radishes in her ears.
I just don’t see Ginny ever going for it.
As for Luna, she’s hard to get a read on, but I believe she’s fully aware of what different people think of her. She’s a very kind and generous person who overlooks this for her friends, but in a romantic partner... I think Luna is waiting for someone who truly understands her or if not that then at least truly likes her.
I don’t think that will ever be Ginny.

The strange girl in Hogsmeade...  Harry Potter x Reader Oneshot
Tumblr media
A/N: another imagine for our dork harry cos I be doing him injustice by not writing any Harry content
The village of Hogsmeade was full of the merry tinkling chatter as students walked around, purchasing items they desired.
One particularly disgruntled boy was now making his way out of the Honeydukes cellar, wrapped inside his invisibility cloak.
Upon going out and near the Shrieking Shack, he was greeted by a rather strange sight.
It was you.
You were sitting on a bench covered in snow, immersed in a book you were holding.
That was not the strange sight, however.
It was the figure towering over you, trying to get your attention.
‘L/N.’ Malfoy snapped.
You looked up. ‘Yes?’
He snatched your book.
‘What is this muggle nonsense?’ he asked mockingly. ‘The pictures aren’t even moving. This is exactly why you don’t have friends, L/N.’
Crabbe and Goyle guffawed stupidly.
‘Please...’ you whispered. ‘Please give it back.’
‘Why should I?’ Malfoy grinned evilly before snatching it out of your reach.
‘Stop, please, you’ll tear it!’ you said frantically.
‘Stop please you’ll tear it!’ Malfoy mocked. ‘Proof L/N, that this is riffraff. What’s the use of a book if it doesn’t have a good charm on it?’
‘Can you please give it back...’ your voice sank to a small whisper.
‘Like I wou-’ Malfoy was cut off by a snowball hitting him in the jaw.
Two more snowballs hit his goons.
Soon enough, Malfoy was being dragged by his feet and spun round and round whilst your book toppled out of his reach.
‘BLOODY PLACE IS HAUNTED!’ screamed Malfoy. ‘I KNEW IT, MOVE!’
He shoved Goyle out of the way before running off as the two followed suit.
You stood there, unsure of what to do.
‘Um, h-hello?’ you spoke tentatively.
Your book soared into the air and was thrust into your hand.
‘Merlin’s pants.’ You muttered. ‘Are you really a ghost?’
No response.
You felt a hand on your shoulder.
‘AAARGH!’ you squealed, covering yourself.
‘Hey, hey, I’m sorry!’ a voice spoke as Harry Potter appeared in front of you out of thin air.
‘How did you-?’ you asked. ‘You can’t Apparate, can you?’
‘No, I’ve got an invisibility cloak.’ He nonchalantly answered.
You narrowly looked at him.
‘Why?’ you asked finally.
‘Huh?’
‘Why?’ you repeated. ‘Why did you help me?’
Harry flushed. ‘Well Malfoy was being a prat, and I thought....’
You giggled slightly. ‘Thanks, by the way. I’m Y/N. Y/N L/N.’
I know.
‘Hi, I’m Harry Potter.’ He smiled.
‘That I know.’ You giggled, causing him to laugh.
-----------
Needless to say, you and Harry became quite good friends.
He couldn’t understand how he’d never approached you before, watching you casually from one side of the Gryffindor table.
The golden trio had become more of a golden quartet as well.
Here you were, eating dinner in your Fourth Year, sitting beside your new and only friends.
‘What’s this?’ Ron excitedly asked, pointing to a dish.
‘Good evening to you too, Ronald.’ You said.
‘Ron.’ He corrected.
‘Ronald.’ You repeated. ‘And it’s Bouillabaisse, by the way.’
‘Bless you.’ Ron muttered.
‘Excuse moi, but are you done with ze Bouillabaisse?’ a very pretty blonde girl asked.
Ron was gawking at her with wide eyes.
You scoffed. ‘Merlin’s arse. Uhm, yes, you can take it.’
‘Merci.’ She spoke before swishing away.
‘She-is-GONE!’ you slapped Ron’s head from behind. ‘Merlin’s sake, Ronald, you’re staring like a lunatic!’
‘Sorry.’ Ron muttered breathlessly, still staring at the girl.
You rolled your eyes and turned to Harry.
‘Control your friend.’ You whispered. ‘He’s gawking.’
‘Don’t blame him.’ Harry cheekily muttered, causing you to slap his arm.
‘She’s a Veela!’ Ron declared beside you.
‘Are you mad?’ you asked. ‘She’s not a Veela!’
‘She is!’ Ron indignantly said. ‘Tell me why I can’t stop staring at her, then?’
‘Because you’re Ronald Weasley.’ You simply answered, eating your pudding.
When everybody had finished their food, the lights in the Hall dimmed as the only source of light remained the Goblet of Fire.
‘When I call your names, you will proceed to the room preceding the Hall.’ Dumbledore spoke.
The flames of the Goblet glowed red as a piece of parchment shot out.
‘The Durmstrang champion.’ Dumbledore began. ‘Is Viktor Krum!’
The Hall roared.
Another parchment shot out.
‘The Beauxbatons champion.’ He continued. ‘Is Fleur Delacour.’
More applause.
Yet another name shot out.
‘The Hogwarts champion.’ He said. ‘Is Cedric Diggory!’
Deafening cheers.
As the champions made their way out, the Goblet started acting all funny.
It glowed red again.
Another piece of parchment shot out of it.
Instinctively, Dumbledore caught it.
He muttered incoherently.
Dumbledore cleared his throat. ‘Harry Potter!’
------------------
This was not happening. You thought. No, he’s alive. No, he’s not dead. It’s not possible.
Yet there lay Cedric Diggory. Still and unmoving and alarmingly rigid.
‘Is he really... dead?’ you asked Hermione in a whisper.
Hermione nodded her head tearfully.
-------------------
So that was how it was.
Voldemort was back, and nobody was ready to believe this.
The Ministry’s arrogant arses were inflicting disbelief and ignorance on the wizards of the world.
Fuck this.
Fuck this, fuck that, fuck everything.
Fuck Umbridge.
What had started out as you defending your former DADA professor from Umbridge’s stupid prejudice against werewolves had now turned to your hand bleeding every evening with the message clearly etched into your skin.
I must not defend monsters
You had luckily managed to keep this a secret from your friends, that was until you umped into Harry when you were returning from your detention.
You both collided and you hissed out in pain as your hand made contact with his sweater.
‘Y/N? Are you okay? What’s wrong?’ Harry frowned.
‘I-I’m f-fine.’ You muttered.
‘Yeah, I’m believing that.’ Harry rolled his eyes. ‘Give me your hand.’
‘What?’
‘Hand, Y/N, your hand.’ He repeated.
Unable to refuse, you turned your palm over onto his.
Harry stared at it for a while.
A whirlwind of emotions flickered over his face and you couldn’t make anything out.
‘Try Murtlap essence.’ He finally spoke. ‘Hermione might have some.’
‘Thanks, Harry.’
----------------
Life was screwed.
You were screwed.
All of you were screwed.
Dumbledore was dead.
There was no changing it, it wasn’t possible.
It had been done, and Severus Snape himself had done it.
You had been searching for Horcruxes without much luck, that was until you got captured and dragged off to Malfoy Manor where Bellatrix Lestrange had scratched the word liar into your arm.
After you made your narrow escape and helped Harry bury Dobby, you were at it again.
Stupid horcruxes.
Eventually you did find them all.
The problem was, a whole-ass war had broken out at Hogwarts.
You were helping everybody you could, but then everything grew silent as everyone made their way out to the grounds.
You distinctly made out Hagrid carrying a body.
No. who is that?
‘Harry Potter.’ Voldemort began. ‘Is dead!’
Your hand flew to your mouth as you began sobbing.
Everything grew blurred, and all you saw was Neville walking up to him and saying something you couldn’t understand.
Harry couldn’t be dead... no, he couldn’t!
Feeling numb with grief, you sank to your knees.
Which was exactly when the boy you thought dead decided to jump out of Hagrid’s arms, very much alive.
You were dragged inside by Hermione despite your protests and were forced to watch them have a go at each other.
It was done.
Voldemort crumbled into thin air, as Harry panted in relief.
Not caring about the circumstances, you ran over to him and smashed your lips on his without thinking.
He reciprocated your actions as you melted into each other’s touch.
One thing was for sure.
You weren’t just the strange girl Harry had scared in Hogsmeade in his third year.

More than a disease
Pairing: Remus x reader
Request: Hi! So i had this idea with remus x reader where they're learning about werewolves and some kids make rude comment about them being monster and she gets really heated up saying that it's not like people choose to become a werewolf cause they've got nothing better to do, they're turned against their will and you can't judge people for things they can't control? And remus goes up to her after the class and they start spending time together and develop feelings and remus feels nice knowing that when he is ready to tell her about himself she will take it well?sorry it's so long also change whatever you want you're the writer
A/N: I don’t know if anyone who’s reading this watches Supercarlinbrothers on youtube but they have this theory that once Dumbledore became the headmaster if they couldn’t find a DADA teacher for a year he would fill in (because let’s be real, how many people do you think are applying for a job which they know will only last a year. For 50 years? He’s going to have to fill in sometimes), so I’ve rolled with that here.
 Wordcount: 1.5k
Warnings: I don’t think there are any, just some fluff here!
Remus couldn’t help but watch the (y/h/c) girl as she walked to her desk, chatting animatedly to her friend about something he couldn’t hear, but wished he could. Anything she could talk about with that much passion had to be worth listening to, even if it was something as mundane as cauldron sizes. He’d been trying to work up the courage to ask her out for a while now, they shared a few classes together and always had the most interesting conversations, talking about anything which was on their minds. There was just one thing stopping him, and that was his monthly transformation.
“It’s page 394 in your textbooks today.” Dumbledore smiled as he walked through the classroom. This would have been about the only thing which could have broken Remus’ thoughts. 394. He knew that page, he had memorised that number, hoping the day would never come. Today was the day the class learned about werewolves, and he was hoping to god that nobody would make the connection to him. He quickly flipped open his book, pretending to study the page with fascination, although of course none of the information was new to him, or to his three best friends, who were currently all trying to do the same as him.
The lesson was going as smoothly as Remus could imagine it being, the class silently taking down notes from the textbook and from what Dumbledore was saying, as he described the signs of spotting a werewolf and more. The lesson went smoothly, until near the end.
“As of yet, there is no potion or remedy to the symptoms of lycanthropy, to help the human turned wolf retain some of their own mind during the transformation. Because of this, there is a strong prejudice against werewolves in the wizarding world, which I encourage you all to consider yourselves, and decide whether this is fair.” Remus winced slightly at Dumbledore’s words, he appreciated them and the kind sentiment they contained, but he knew how easily they could trigger a conflict in the class. And just as he predicted, this was exactly what happened.
“Yeah, we should just let these dangerous monsters walk among us.” Severus Snape spoke up from the other side of the classroom, a smile on his face. Remus threw a warning glance to his friends, begging them not to do anything and draw attention to him, that was the last thing he needed. It seemed his friends weren’t the people he needed to worry about arguing against Snape, as a voice he would recognise anywhere piped up hotly.
“Hey, do you think they chose this life?” She shot back at him, rising from her seat with her hands balled into fists. “Do you think they volunteered to never be able to find a job, to have everyone not even give them a chance? To not be trusted? This is a horrible thing they’ve had to go through, a tragedy thrust upon them without permission.” Her voice was rising with every sentence, and all heads were turned to her, mostly in shock. Sure, she wasn’t the type to sit silently in the back of the class but this was definitely out of the ordinary. “It’s people like you, people who just write them off as if they’re nothing more than a disease, you’re the problem. I would rather spend my life with a whole pack of werewolves than one second in your company.” You spat, chest rising rapidly with your heavy breathing from the agitated state you had worked yourself into.
Remus couldn’t help the hope that flooded into his chest as he took her words in. She understood him, she didn’t think that he was a monster. If she ever knew, she would see past his disease to the person that he was. He desperately tried to fight the smile which was edging onto his face, but failed miserably, tilting his head down to try and hide it, but a newfound confidence surging through him.
“Thank you, Miss (y/l/n).” Dumbledore spoke calmly, gesturing for you to take your seat. You did so, blushing a little but still with a determined glint in your eyes. “And it seems we’ve arrived at the end of the lesson.” He was quick to assign you homework before everyone gathered their belongings and started to leave the classroom. Remus told the boys to go ahead and that he would meet them there, as he hovered outside the classroom waiting for her to exit. She did so a couple of minutes later, a guilty smile on her face as she spotted him.
“Detention.” She shrugged lightly as they started to walk to lunch together. “Couldn’t have expected less, really, I did start shouting in a classroom. I think he agreed with me though, because it’s a detention with Hagrid, which means it can’t be anything too harsh and he probably is just doing it to try and show he has no bias, which is completely fair. Besides, I would spend all night doing manual labour for Filch if I had to, some things are more important, you know? I’m glad I said that, I think it needed to be said. Don’t you agree?” She finished her monologue looking up at the boy, hopeful expression on her face as she asked him the question.
“Go on a date with me.” He blurted out, unable to stop himself from asking after she literally stood unbeknownst next to a werewolf and went on a tirade about how any punishment was worth her defending them. Her eyes widened slightly, but so did her smile.
“I would love to, Remus.” She replied, hesitantly leaning up on her tiptoes and pressing a delicate kiss to his cheek, giggling at the goofy smile this left on his face.
Since that moment, the months had flown by, filled with many dates between them as autumn turned into winter and the pair had grown inseparable. Although it was extremely irritating when they tried to steal her away to spend time with them instead, Remus was incredibly glad that his friends got along with her, too, and even in the time they had spent apart over Christmas, an owl arrived at his window every day with a new letter from her. Now, January was drawing to a close, and he knew that he was ready to tell her his secret.
They had borrowed James’ invisibility cloak, to sneak out to the grounds and find a secluded spot where they wouldn’t be found, to just lie and look at the stars. She was currently pointing out different constellations to him, and although he already knew them he felt like he was learning all over again listening to the information coming from your mouth. “And that’s the star that Sirius is named after.” She said, pointing to a star slightly to their left, which shone brighter than the rest. They were silent for a few minutes, laying comfortably in each other’s company before she spoke up again. “What do you want to do when we leave here?” She asked, a question that seemed to come out of nowhere. He turned his head towards her, propping himself up on his elbow to be able to see her face better.
 “Why do you ask?
“I don’t know, I think we’ve just been asked to think about our futures a lot, lately, haven’t we? Being in our last few years here.” She spoke, the stars shining in the reflection of her eyes. “I think I want to work for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.” She mused, and Remus felt his heart flutter slightly, that same care that had encouraged him to ask her out all those months ago showing itself as it so often did. “I think that’s where I can help people the most. What about you? Any ideas?”
“I… don’t think I have much of a career to plan.” Remus admitted, taking a breath and knowing this was the time to tell her. As she predictably asked why, he spoke into the cool night air. “I’m a werewolf, (y/n). I know you know how hard it is for us to find any job, let alone a full career.” He barely even had time to worry about her reaction before she had quelled it, a bright smile lighting her face.
“I wish other people could see past this disease, Rem, because you’re so much more than that.” She reassured him, scooting closer to him and resting her face in his neck, pressing a soft kiss to his collarbone. “You’re much too smart to be overlooked because of a choice you were never given.” He could hear her sighing faintly, wishing that she could change everything, to give him the life that he deserved, to make people see him for who he was, not what he turned into. “Well, I guess this just means that I’m going to have to do really well in my job, to help the boy I love.” Their laughs mixed together in the darkness around them. Together, she would help him through the tough times, the rejections, and she would always fight her hardest to help him and others like him. But more importantly than that, he knew that she would always love him, and would see him as more than his condition.

The Secret
Pairing: eisuke x mc
Summary: Harry Potter X KBTBB crossover
a/n: this is a repost bec tumblr’s a bish and they deleted my old one for some reason so here it is
◾️◾️◾️
Run
The drumming of her heart escalated gradually out of control terrified out of her mind.
If you ever feel like you’re in danger, run
She could’ve fished her wand but she couldn’t hurt him. She daren’t, that’s what she thought as she stood transfixed chilled to the bone.
Even if it’s me
She didn’t understand what he meant at that time, but now she did.
RUN
and she ran.
~~
He was never open with his emotions. From the day his muggle parents abandoned him after finding out about the ‘freak’ he was. Finding refuge in an elderly wizard’s humble home, kind enough to look after him, he was eager to learn all aspects of magic. His sole reason? Not to be looked down upon by anyone.
The feeling of revulsion he got from the people who birthed him confirmed that he would never be accepted as one’s own. To them he was abnormal. And he was aware of that. To rid of the desolation, drowning in books was his only option. Until he met her, or rather, them.
____ and Soryu too had their own demons but together, they were a team. One everyone looked up to. Some even called them ‘The Golden Trio’ and they couldn’t be more accurate. To say the three of them knew everything about each other was not wrong. Except Eisuke had a secret concealed to all. Not even his best friends.
Nearly Halloween the days got even colder and the already thick fog amongst the forbidden forest seemed even more dense than normal. The sun was almost setting. Soryu had gone home to spend days with his family while the other two stayed at school with no such plans. They didn’t even have a family of their own to begin with so they decided to indulge in each other’s company for which they were more than exhilarated. They’d known each other for almost five years now and they couldn’t help but feel attracted to the little spark between them.
Poor Buckbeak, Hagrid’s most adored Hippogriff became a part of their silly escapades. Little did Eisuke know that tonight, the moon was to gleam a little too much against the black of the night sky.
The duo grabbed his harness and led him into the dark forest oblivious to the knark nargles luring in the depth of the area. They kept on walking until they reached the area around the whomping willow leaving the hippogriff near the forbidden forest. The two bickered back and forth until the topic of the conversation shifted.
“Soryu was such a dork!” She let out a laugh thinking about to the time on the train when he got all shy the first time they met. Sulking how he got a booger flavoured one in bertie bott’s every flavoured beans. She was still in the midst of hysteric memories when all of a sudden Eisuke stopped. Not feeling his presence beside her, she looked behind to see Eisuke earnestly staring at her. A certain glow in his eyes like he was curious about something unusual.
“And what about me?” He asked taking measured steps towards her.
“What...?” She tipped her head to the right dumbfounded.
“What did you think about me the very first time we met?” He asked again once he was within her reach.
“Oh! Well you know you uh,”
Eisuke’s mesmerising gaze robbed her of all her words. Bitterly slowly he raised his hand and cupped her cheek rubbing his thumb across it as if testing something fragile.
“I’m tired of having to share you with Soryu when I want to keep you all to myself” He uttered under his breath but just as he was about to bob his head down, his sight caught the moon. In his state of excitement to be alone with her, he forgot to take his potion. The fully round moon at its very peak glowering brightly as if to mock him of the curse he was bound with.
She sensed the change. The changing colour of his eyes. His limbs taking a more inhuman form. The uncharacteristic change in his body that she roughly had to pull away from. She watched helplessly as he writhed in pain. She almost didn’t want to believe her eyes, that he had turned into a monstrous werewolf. She wanted to think this was a dream but she knew it wasn’t because anything and literally everything could happen in the wizarding world.
“Eisuke?” No reply as the werewolf rubbed his eye.
“Eisuke, are you-
That was, until he howled. She knew she had to do something.
Eisuke or to be more clear the werewolf inched towards her perilously. She knew she was in danger.
Just one flick of her wand and she’d be safe. She even knew the spell. But she didn’t. She couldn’t. Because after all, the man under the skin of the werewolf was the one she adored more than anyone. To the one she She didn’t have the heart to inflict the slightest of injury to Eisuke. To the one she loved wholeheartedly. She knew this wasn’t Eisuke but it was him. The werewolf closed onto her.
So she ran.
She ran as fast as her legs could take her. Luckily she was near the forest now. She could herself among the trees.
Standing behind a wide tree trunk she got some time to catch her breath but the werewolf had caught up to her. Hearing a gruff sound, she twisted her head around to catch a glimpse of the creature.
Avoiding it, she circled the tree but she accidentally came across the beast. A growl from behind caused her to whip backwards only to be met with the glinting eyes of the the werewolf. She wanted to scream, but it was of no use. No one could help her.
The monster lurched at her swiftly. She braced herself for the impact but it never came. Instead she watched as buckbeak came to her rescuse chasing the creature away. She needed to get out of the place now. She worried for Eisuke. She had so many questions racing through her mind that only one person could answer. But for the time being, she returned to the castle tired and worried for her friend out there suffering all alone.
She tossed and turned in bed as sleep completely left her. Last night’s events ruling her brain.
~~
She climbed down the stairs to the common room, completely empty as it was only six in the morning. As soon as she heard an all too familiar groan, she rushed towards the source of the voice. There, Eisuke was sprawled across one of the couches in the room, his face covered in small cuts and minor bruises , probably from when the hippogriff drove him away.
“HOLY CRICKET. ARE YOU OKAY?” She half asked half shrieked, tears instantly pooling in her eyes. She touched his arms which had slightly bigger cuts.
“Do I look okay?” Eisuke said quite sarcastically to which he received a glare from ____
“I- I’m fine. Just a bit... sore.” He replied with his trademark smirk.
“Shut up! Do you know how scared I was? Why didn’t you tell me?! You twat!” The tears started flowing from here eyes and dropped on his hands and he silently wiped them away. She hugged him tight not caring about his injuries.
“Hey, just let me clean up and i’ll tell everything to you, sounds good?” He suggested, tempted to not let go of her but he didn’t want her seeing him in this miserable state.
Half an hour later, they met up at the entrance of the clock tower where, thank god, not a single person was in sight. The second she laid her eyes on him, she jumped into his arms hugging the living daylight out of him. Eisuke, not bothering to resist, wrapped his arms around her too.
“I was worried out of my mind! Do you have any idea what agony I felt when I saw you like that?! You-“
He held a finger to my mouth to shush her the tears once again threatening to fall.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry but i’ll explain everything. I guess there’s no use hiding it anymore.” He said in a collected voice to calm her down.
“You know how I live with Cadmus. Cadmus once took me to his friend’s house where I got lost in the Ottery forest. It was almost midnight and it was a full moon that night. I don’t remember what really happened. I just know that the werewolf got close to me. I was attacked.”
Mc listened with bated breath as Eisuke casted his eyes downwards.
“All of it was a blur. I fainted and they found me somewhere in the middle of thr forest. Do you know what happens when a werewolf bites you?” He asked her.
“You turn into a werewolf.”
“Yes, that was when it all started. On full moon nights, there was only minor pain. It was bearable. But three years ago, its effects replenished. It got worse. I don’t know if you remember it but do you recall me leaving you and soryu to go off somewhere and you’d ask me where I went?”
“No..” A quite sob left her body.
“Yeah, I don’t intend to worry you and the reason I didn’t tell you was because it’s really pathetic. I hate it. It’s like a curse! But I can’t do anything about it except take the wolfsbane potion. There was never really anyone I could talk to about it. Also i’m so sorry I hurt you last night. For scaring you. For worrying you. I completely forgot about it last night. I really-“
His words were cut off as Mc grabbed the back of his head and softly touched her lips with his. His eyes widened at her subtle boldness but kissed her back. He was at peace. That was exactly what he felt. Maybe she did return his feelings after all.
She pulled away after some time with a tinge of pink on her cheeks. Eisuke too was blushing and that, was a rare sight.
“I guess i’ve wanted to do that for some time now.” She muttered but he heard her clearly.
“Really? Because same.” He was about to go for another one but she stopped him with a hand to his mouth.
“Hold. Up. How DARE you say you’re pathetic? You’re the most smartest wizard of your age, you know that? Literally every other envies you. And you’ve been enduring this pain for that long? You don’t have to keep everything bottled up! Just talk to me. Talk to Soryu. He’s your best friend! You’re not alone you daft selfish little twat. You’ve got me! And Soryu too! We’ll always help you no matter what!”
“Okay okay, I’ll tell you everything. Happy now?” He spoke innocently but she crossed her arms with a huff.
He hooked a finger under her chin and gently lifted it.
“Please?” There was the face she failed to say no to.
“Fine” She unfolded her locked arms and turned to him only to see Eisuke gazing at her with the same intensity as last night.
“May I?”
With a short nod, he thrashed his soft lips, despite certain scars, on her silky ones. All feelings were being conveyed through that kiss until,
“Bloody hell..”

A/N: This is my first fan fic I’m writing mainly as a way to practice. This is a retelling of the hp books with an inserted character. Although most every character will be written about, this is mostly for the pro snape fandom. Please do not fear, although this is a severus x oc story, it is an incredibly slow burn as I do not intend for them to get together at all until after the final book events. Chapters will be posted twice a week.
This derivative work follows the events of the Harry Potter books by Jk Rowling and is intended as a fun way to practice my writing. Thank you for reading :D

Hagrid started pushing them away from the window and towards his back door. “Yeh gotta go! They mustn’ find yeh here – out the back, out the back.”
Heather threw the cloak over everyone as Hagrid pushed them out the door into his back garden. Buckbeak looked up at Hagrid from the center of the pumpkin patch and chirped.
“Good Beaky… I’ll be righ’ back… I promise,” Hagrid’s voice broke and he cleared his throat. “Now get goin’ yeh four.”
Harry pulled the cloak over his head. “We can’t leave. . .”
Ron stuck his head out too. “We can tell them what really happened. They can’t kill him – it’s not fair.”
Hagrid sniffed and pulled the cloak back over their heads. “Nothin’ no one can do now. Don’t worry, alrigh’? Beaky knows how much yeh four care about ‘im – I’ll tell ‘im again. Don’t yeh worry no more. Now go,” Hagrid said fiercely. “No point in you lot gettin’ in trouble fer this too.” He stepped back into his hut and shooed them away with his hand.
They turned and shuffled out around the left of his hut as Professor Dumbledore, Fudge, and the executioner, Macnair, knocked on Hagrid’s door on the opposite side. They waited until they heard the front door open and close with a snap before setting off back to the castle in a slow silent trance. Even Scabbers kept still in Ron’s pocket as they climbed over the sloping lawn.
They stopped at the highest hill and looked down at Hagrid’s small shack. Only a single large pumpkin was visible over the curve of the hut’s roof from their distance. Hermione was sniffling as the last of the sun reflected off something shiny in Hagrid’s back garden. The shiny object lifted higher, and dipped back down behind the roof in a fast swoop.
A thick thud echoed over the grounds.
“No,” Heather sobbed and hugged Harry tight.
He hugged her back and pressed his eyes into her shoulder. Macnair’s axe had undoubtedly cut clean and swiftly. Heather pulled back and placed a hand on Hermione, who was clinging onto Ron, sobbing hard.
There was a howl in the distance. Poor Fang must be so upset to lose a friend, and to see Hagrid in such a sad state as well… Heather wanted to burst into loud uncontrollable cries but held herself together, clinging onto Harry’s arm.
Ron wiped his tears and grumbled. “Scabbers – stop moving! Ow – Someone’ll hear you.” Ron pushed Hermione away and wrestled with his pocket.
“We’ve got to go,” said Hermione, wiping away a tear. “Dumbledore’ll be out any minute to walk Fudge and Macnair off the grounds.”
Ron shook his head. “Well he – won’t – stay – down – ”
Heather couldn’t keep her eyes off the hut as the sun finally dipped below the trees, and the deep purple set over the whole of Hogwarts. As Ron struggled with a clearly terrified Scabbers, Harry pulled on Heather’s sweater sleeve.
She looked over at him, and saw, in the reflection of his glasses, the wide yellow eyes of Crookshanks, slinking out from the shadows of a nearby bush, slowly approaching the high pitched squeals of Ron’s rat.
“Oh, Crookshanks!” Hermione gasped. “No, no, get out of here. Not now!”
Ron fought harder to keep Scabbers down in his pocket, but it was too late. Crookshanks jumped onto the cloak, knocking them all down.
“Ow! He bit me!” Ron screamed. “Scabbers – NO !”
The rat had wriggled free in all the commotion, and was now bounding away as fast as possible while Hermione held onto Crookshanks tightly. Before Harry or Heather could stop him, Ron had thrown the invisibility cloak off himself and bolted after Scabbers into the darkening night.
“Ron!” they all yelled after him.
Crookshanks vaulted after its prey. Harry threw the cloak off of them and the three of them ran after them, wands lit. They could hear the clacks of rocks hitting against other rocks as they tumbled on the path ahead and the distant shouts at Crookshanks.
“Stay away! Leave him alone! – Get – Scabbers this way!”
They ran onto a grassy part, following Ron’s shouts and heard a thud.
“Gotcha! Get away before I kick you!”
They slowed as their wand lights illuminated a grass-stained Ron clutching Scabbers to his chest and kicking madly at Crookshanks.
Heather panted. “Ron, get up – We need to get back to the cloak before – ”
Hermione screamed and pointed at a dark mass hurdling towards them with inch-long teeth bright and bared up to the gums. “The Grim!” she shouted.
They ran towards Ron but jumped back as the giant jet-black dog leapt between them and growled ferociously, saliva pooling under it.
Heather aimed her wand, “Alarte Ascendare!”
The hound jumped out of the way as the purple flames shot out of Heather’s wand and hit Crooshanks, sending him ten feet into the air. The massive hound sprang towards Heather, mouth aimed at her wand.
“Flipendo!” she panicked.
Sparks erupted and the dog was knocked back behind Ron and howled as Crookshanks landed claws down onto it.
Harry ran forwards and grabbed Ron’s arms, trying to pull him up before the dog could get its bearings back. The hound shook its head and clamped onto Ron’s leg, dragging him back quickly.
“Ron!” Heather and Hermione grabbed hold of Harry’s waist and pulled, but it was Ron who let go of Harry hand.
“AHH!” Ron let himself be dragged back, the pain in his leg too great to have held onto Harry for much longer.
They ran to keep up with Ron, but he was being pulled away too fast to keep up with, as if he weighed nothing more than a few lumps of feathers. Harry dove forward to catch Ron’s outstretched hands and missed by an inch.
“Harry!” Ron whimpered as he was dragged down towards the base of a large trunk, down between a gap in its enormous roots, into a hole.
Harry looked up as the Whomping Willow curled its thick branches ready to smash him into the ground.
Heather and Hermione grabbed hold of each of Harry’s legs and pulled him back seconds before the tree pounded the ground with all its strength.
Harry stood and fixed his glasses. “Ron!”
No answer.
Heather shined her wand brighter at the hole they hadn’t ever noticed before. No one ever dared go near the tree – they were probably the only to have ever gotten so close to the Whomping Willow, except for last year when they had crashed into it. No one would risk getting pummeled to death.
“Harry,” Heather breathed. “This is – the – Fred and George mentioned the Whomping Willow was planted over one of the secret passages.”
“What does that mean!” Hermione cried. “That Ron’s being dragged out of Hogwarts?! Where does it go! I told you three – I told you to hand the map over to – !”
“We don’t have time!” Harry hissed. He stepped forward, trying to spot an opening between the pounding branches.
Heather pulled him back before he could dash forward. “Harry! Are you mad?”
Hermione was anxiously dancing around. “Think! Think!”
Crookshanks, who had been sitting next to Hermione swishing its tail, trotted towards a big knot on the willow’s trunk and pressed it in. The tree immediately stopped moving and held its branches frozen in place.
Hermione gasped. “How did – ”
“They’re friends. They walk the grounds together.” Harry glared at Hermione, as if further accusing her of owning a monster of a cat.
Crookshanks slithered between the roots and slid down the gap. They covered the distance within seconds and crawled into the hole. First Harry, then Hermione, and Heather last, keeping her wand in hand, just in case.
Eventually the tunnel became large enough to stand in, and they did, holding their wands out and ready. They walked on fast but silently, listening intently to every sound of the cave.
It felt like the first time Harry and her had gone into the witch’s tunnel. The same eeriness of what lurked in the shadows made Heather’s throat tight as her heart pounded like crazy in her ears. The dog, Sirius Black, Ron… It could be anything waiting for them just beyond.
“W-what if this is how Sirius Black lures us to him?” Heather’s voice trembled. “What if that’s his dog and – and Ron’s the bait?”
Hermione sniffed.
“Then we get Ron back and – and you two take him to the castle.”
“And you’ll what, Harry? Fight him alone? Kill him yourself?” Hermione sobbed. “He’ll hurt you and then it won’t just be Ron who we need to worry about.”
Heather nodded, though no one could see her. “Harry, we’re not leaving you. So don’t make us stay any longer than we have to.”
They stayed silent the rest of the way. The tunnel felt longer than the one to Hogsmeade, and Heather wondered if they would pop up around there, and in which shop – if it was a shop at all – or . . . or the home of Voldemort, brought back by his most devoted servant. Heather shook her head, remembering what Professor Lupin had said.
Harry’s footsteps picked up, and they were now sprinting down the tunnel as it sloped up. They stopped below what was dim light seeping out from a wooden square. They caught their breath and together pushed the wooden board up. They pulled themselves out of the opening and rolled onto the dust-covered floorboards of a long-abandoned room.
The room was greyed from all the dust, and the furniture was all smashed to pieces – though none looked newly-broken. Cobwebs covered the ceiling and weaved between the cracked railings of stairs across the room.
“Could this be – ”
“The Shrieking Shack,” Heather cut Hermione off.
“Nowhere but out or up,” Harry pointed at the boarded up door and broken stairs.
“Up,” Hermione whispered.
They held their wands up and made their way to the stairs, wincing at every creak and groan of the steps. They heard thumps coming from one of the rooms, and a loud groan.
“Knox.”
“Knox,” Heather and Hermione followed Harry’s lead.
The hallway went dark, and a deep creaking echoed throughout. The two closed door in the hallway groaned while the one at the far end swung ajar and back closed as the wind seeping through the old wood of the house and swept through the rooms. They crept forward and stopped, listening to a loud purring coming from beyond the last door. They exchanged a last look and nodded together, ready with wands up and pointed.
Harry took a deep breath and kicked the door open. They all jumped in and saw Crookshanks lying on a large king-sized bed with moth-eaten hangings and beside him, on the ground, sat Ron gritting his teeth and clutching his bloody leg.
“Ron!” Heather screamed.
They dashed across to him and Harry pulled back his hand to assess the damage.
“We need to get you to Pomphrey – where’s the dog?”
Ron winced and opened his eyes. “H-he’s the dog He’s an Animagus!”
There was a creak behind them and they turned, standing quickly, as Sirius Black stepped into the room and closed the door with a push of his finger on the doorknob.
His eyes looked sunken in and dark grey circles surrounded his eyes. His wax-pale skin was pulled tight around his face as he smiled, showing brown-stained teeth. His elbow-length black hair was matted and ridden with twigs and leaves and dirt, matching the filthy striped uniform he wore that draped off him much worse than Professor Lupin’s clothes ever did. He was a walking, breathing husk of the man they’d seen on the cover of the Daily Prophet.
“Expelliarmus!” Sirius Black croaked, pointing Ron’s wand at them with a jittery hand.
Heather’s wand shot out of her hand along with Harry’s and Hermione’s. Her heart dropped as she watched their wands land in Sirius Black’s. His skeletal fingers wrapped around them.
“Figured you’d come running in to save your friend, Harry.” Sirius Black’s voice was hoarse and scratchy, like a vintage battery-drained radio recently brought out of storage. “James… would have done the same for me… Brave of you to not run for a teacher. Everything will go much more smoothly like this.”
Heather felt a tear drip off her chin. He’d said the name so easily… Her fists clenched and she saw Harry stiffen with a boiling hate, so hot it radiated off him. Hermione put her hands on both their shoulders, ready to stop them from acting on Black’s taunt.
“I-if you want to kill Harry – ” Ron gripped a bed post and hauled himself up, gritting his teeth through the pain in his leg. “T-then you’ll have to go through us.”
“You shouldn’t be on that,” he whispered. Sirius Black’s eyes drifted down to the bloody mangled mess that was Ron’s ankle.
“Did you hear him? If you want to kill Harry – ”
Sirius Black barked a sharp laugh, interrupting Hermione and making them all take a step back.
“There will only be one murder here tonight.” Sirius Black focused his crazed eyes at Ron, and grinned.
“No there won’t.” Heather said firmly and held on to Harry’s arm as he stepped towards Black.
“No. He’s right,” spat Harry, struggling against Heather and Hermione. “There’ll only be one murder… AND IT’LL BE YOU!” Harry broke free and lunged at Black, knocking him over onto the ground.
Heather gasped and ran forward, clawing for their wands as Harry held Black’s arm down with one hand while his other attempted to smack the man’s face but was held back by the man’s thin boney hand. Heather ripped the wands from Black’s grip and looped her arm under Harry’s dragging him back with her as he kicked and screamed.
Hermione helped drag him back and they all grabbed their wands, pointing them directly at Black’s chest. Harry’s lips began to move when –
“Crookshanks! No!” Hermione hissed.
Crookshanks had jumped onto Sirius Black’s chest and curled up, claws stuck onto his black and white shirt.
“Wingardium Leviosa,” Hermione whispered, and her cat began to levitate.
Black plucked his shirt off the floating cat’s nails and crawled towards the wall and sat up. A deep purple bruise was beginning to form on his chin, where Harry had kicked him.
Harry stepped forward, wand pointed at the very center of his chest. “You murdered them. Our parents trusted you and you betrayed them, and murdered dozens of innocent muggles and Pettigrew…”
Heather saw a twinkle in Harry’s eyes. A spark of hatred so deep it sparkled on the tip of his wand. “Harry,” she whispered.
Black saw it too, and his grin widened. “Going to kill me, are you Harry? You don’t even have the right story.”
Harry stood over him with a steady hand. “You killed our parents.”
“I don’t deny that…” Black stared up at him from behind his sunken eyes, and then turned to Heather. “But if you heard the whole story – ”
“What whole story?”
“Don’t listen to him, Heather.” Harry turned back. “The murders were all over the news. You gave them up to Voldemort. That’s the whole story.”
There was a creak from the floor below.
“No – You’ve got to listen,” Black said, dropping his grin and sat up urgently. “You’ll regret it – You need to understand – ”
“I understand plenty!” Harry choked.
“Harry!” Heather screamed. Her breaths were coming out as huffs and her wand hand trembled as she pointed it at the crumpled man before Harry’s feet. He was going to do it. He was going to murder Sirius Black right in front of them, with his own wand. No – he wouldn’t – he couldn’t. That wasn’t Harry – Harry would never… Heather waited for Harry to step back, to turn away.
Harry’s grip on his wand strengthened, turning his knuckles white. Crookshanks, levitated high above their heads, cried out as Black closed his eyes. Harry breathed, held it… and let out a sob. He stepped back and droped his arm. Heather’s grip on her own wand strengthened and she stepped forward as Harry turned his back to Sirius Black and walked back to them with tears streaming down his face.
She stood over Black and watched him scan her face. If he made any move at her, at Harry, at an escape… she’d make him wish he hadn’t. Although she knew she couldn’t avenge their parents the way Harry wanted, she wasn’t going to let him run off again. He was going right back to Azkaban to rot away the rest of the years he had left. After tonight, the next time she saw him was going to be when he’d finally withered away into an old sad skeleton.
Footsteps thundered up the stairs, and before Harry could finish wiping his tears, the door to the room burst open in a flurry of red sparks. Professor Lupin charged through and took in the scene. Ron was sickly white gripping his bloody leg, Hermione had fallen to the floor in the commotion, Harry was in the corner drying tears, Crookshanks clawing at the air, and Heather threatening a crumpled and bruised Sirius Black.
Hermione sat up quickly. “Someone needs to alert the Dementors!”
“Expelliarmus!” Professor Lupin yelled, and caught the four wands in his hand.
Heather gasped and stepped away from Sirius Black, joining Harry and Hermione as Professor Lupin took her place over Black.
He raised his wand at him, and for a second they just looked at each other. “Sirius… Where is he?” he spoke in a pained, quivery whisper.
Sirius Black looked at Ron and pointed. Professor Lupin turned to look at Ron along with Heather and Harry. Ron looked bewildered.
Professor Lupin turned back to Black. “Why hadn’t he shown himself? Why – Unless… You switched with... You didn’t tell me,” he whispered, and dropped his arm.
“What are you doing?” Why was he dropping his guard? Heather looked at Black, who had started to get up.
The heat inside Heather’s body flared as she watched, open-mouthed, as Professor Lupin clasped Black by his arm and pulled him up to his feet, holding him as he wobbled. She watched Professor Lupin embraced him like a long lost brother leaving her empty and dizzy. All the heat drained from her body as the realization set in.
“YOU’RE WORKING WITH HIM?” Hermione screamed. She was pointing with a wild look of betrayal in her eyes.
Lupin turned to them and raised his hands. “Now, kids – listen – ”
“No! I’ve been keeping your secret – covering up for you! And you’ve been helping him.”
Lupin shook his head and stepped forward. “Hermione, let me explain – ”
“Don’t get any closer!” Harry yelled, shaking. His tears had dried now, and his fists were clenched down to his sides. “We trusted you! – I TRUSTED YOU! And all this time… you’ve been his friend.”
Lupin shook his head furiously. “Trust me Harry. I’ve been the farthest thing from a friend to Sirius – but I am now and if you’ll just let me explain – ”
Heather turned to Harry, unable to keep watching as he defended a murderer, blocking Sirius from them as if THEY were the dangerous ones. “Don’t trust him… He’s a werewolf.” She spat the word out like a thorn.
The room went quiet. It was plainly obvious neither Harry nor Ron had suspected a thing, not even after Snape’s essay. Ron moved farther back, with a terrified look on his face. Harry’s mouth hung open in shock. He had easily spent the most time with Lupin, at least once a week for several hours until he had produced a good enough Patronus, and the whole time he’d had no clue.
Heather glanced at Lupin. She should have told everyone the second she’d found out. That’s what Snape had wanted and tried to do with the essay. He’d wanted everyone to know, for their safety. If she or Hermione had told, then Lupin would have been taken away and Sirius Black wouldn’t have had all these chances to attack Harry.
Lupin met her eyes and she could see a pained fear in them and in the way he hesitated standing before them. He wanted to run.

Nineteen Years Prior (Draco Malfoy x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You watched the sea of people hurry around platform nine and three quarters. Few amongst the strangers were ghosts of familiar faces, older, more experienced. All different people from which they had first been when coming here nineteen years prior.
You couldn’t help but smile fondly as though recalling a memory. In someways it was, with only a few minor details changed. Some would have thought that aging or losing friends and family wasn’t so miniscule and shouldn't be dismissed. From your perspective it was. The pain of loss, aging and moving on with life. It was all apart of the story. You stood alone on that platform. Without a family of your own, yet it wasn’t sad. It was enough to be witness to your friends. Your gaze stopped at Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny. You recognised them instantly.
Hermione kissed her daughters forehead, pulling her in close. Meanwhile, Harry fixed his sons shoe lace. His son said something, distracting him from the task. Your eyes returned to find another familiar face. Draco Malfoy’s hair was slicked back just as it had been in the first few years of Hogwarts and just as blonde. The boy he was looking down at with a soft smirk had to have been his son as he too had the Malfoy blonde hair that every Malfoy seemed to inherit. He led his son closer to his mother to enveloped the boy in a hug. He acknowledged Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny. Tension was still apparent but it seemed more on Draco’s side in terms of guilt. What could he have said after everything that had happened nine-teen years prior? Draco looked away from his family and caught sight of you across the platform. His eyes widened, smirk vanishing. He looked shocked to see you and you couldn’t help but smile in amusement. Nevertheless, you waved at him as you continued to smile at him. He shifted slightly, seemingly uncomfortable before giving you a discreet nod. You weren’t too surprised. Rumours spread about the Malfoy’s after the Battle of Hogwarts and they shut out themselves in shame. Draco cut contact with everyone. No one heard from the family, only the rumours about them. You never caught any detail of those rumours, only that they existed. Then again, such stories never made it to Hogwarts, only students ever kept them alive and even then, they were barely a rare whisper.
You had shared many classes with Draco as well as Hermione, Ron and Harry. Much like them, you and Draco got off on the wrong foot. In fact, you were enemies for the first three years.
With every year, Draco Malfoy had become more and more insufferable, or at least that’s how it seemed. Although whether it was being accustomed to his antics or the desire for a change of scenery with some fresh air, an example would have been in Hagrid’s class. You thought he was doing pretty well. Draco, on the other hand, was insistent on mocking Hagrid through out, making it very known that he didn’t have the seal of Malfoy approval.  “Right you lot, less chatter, form a group over there and open your books at page forty-nine.” Hagrid ordered. A few looked down at their books, Draco and yourself included, in slight confusion. "and how exactly do we do that!?" Draco snapped. "Just stroke the spine, of course! Goodness me." Hagrid called back. You looked down are your book. "I didn't see that coming." You mumbled to yourself. Draco turned his head to look at you before running his fingers down the spine of the book.
Seeing Harry with Buckbeak was amazing, although you couldn’t help but feel a little jealous, wishing it were you. Although Draco wasn’t so impressed. Your jaw dropped when Draco stormed up to Buckbeak, all the while antagonizing the creature. In retaliation for being too close, Buckbeak immediately stood upon hind legs before tearing into Malfoys arm. Next thing you knew, Draco was whimpering, cursing Hagrid and 'his bloody chicken'.
You saw him in Lupin's Class, arm now bandaged up and in a sling. He leaned against a pillar as everyone waited for Lupin's next instructions. "You alright?" You asked quietly as you turned your head to Malfoy. Draco looked surprised you had said anything. His eyes darting to you. He hadn't even noticed you had been standing beside him. "Yeah." Draco said gruffly. "Figured I'd ask that one looked like it hurt." You responded. "It did, bloody chicken nearly took my arm off." You weren't sure if Draco was being dramatic, it certainly didn't look that close. However, you didn't really know Draco enough to know if he was the type of exaggerate.
Draco was surprised, just as his face had shown before morphing back into a scowl. He almost didn't answer your question but was so dumbfounded, he did anyway. Not even Crabbe or Goyle had asked him if he was feeling alright today. You had been the first and you were one of the last he'd think would ever think to ask. Then you surprised him again by actually keeping the conversation going. Draco had two options, tell you to shove off or actually take the conversation. Before he could make the decision, once again he had already responded.
As Lupin began his lesson, you heard Draco mutter to Crabbe. "This class is ridiculous." "Alright! Everyone line up!" Lupin called out as the class suddenly scurried into one line. Everyone pushed and shoved into a line. Neville started and the Boggart twisted and turned into Professor Snape. Within seconds of Neville's cry "Ridiculous!", he wore what resembled the very outfit he had just described his grandmother to have worn. For Ron, a large spider that was suddenly on roller skates. Pavarti, a snake that became a clown before it could strike. For each, down the line, the Boggart morphed into their worst nightmare before turning into something utterly ridiculous. Much like the spell had been named. You couldn't help but shiver when your turn came along.
You looked to Professor Lupin before the Boggart would morph. "How do I do it again?" You swallowed hard, your mind drawing blank at the thought of what the Boggart could turn into. "Other than the spell, what do I do?" The Boggart began to twist, morphing into your own fear. "Think about what would make it funny." Lupin said calmly with a reassuring look. The Boggart stretched, tall and thin, morphing into a man in a suit and bowler hat. He had no hair but it was the only defining feature you could make out. He never had a face. His arms longer than they should have been as well as his legs. You only ever saw his silhouette. You knew the figure well.  Usually children feared the monster under their bed or hiding anywhere else. Your monster never hid. He stayed in the dark and there were many terrible nights you awoke to him at the bottom of your bed. That man had haunted your nightmares for so long that you had made up stories about him, even when very young. He had a wife with a neck that was so weak it couldn't hold up her head. The two had a son who looked to be nine years old at most. Due to his mother's weak neck, her son had weak legs. They had never worked since birth and were lifeless. It meant the boy had a solid tight grip that you had felt in your sleep before, the pain being enough to wake you. Since then, you looked at the boys hands that were gripped upon his wheelchair. You knew if there was more than one Boggart, you'd face the whole family that haunted you. However the tall man was the one who never left you alone.
You heard the discomfort in your classmates from behind you but didn't dare take your mind off of it. His movements were stiff, like he had to fight himself to move his own legs. His steps were small, his dress shoes clicking against the stone flooring. His knees lifting higher than necessary with each step, mimicking walking as if each step he took was his first. Just as he always had. His upper half was rigid and unmoving, making his movements even more unsettling. To your horror, the man head begun to reach out and that was when you snapped out of your frozen state. "Ridiculous!" You cried out. The man reeled back and his hat grew in size. It became to big for his head and covered his face. The man swiped at the air, unable to see. The scene gradually became amusing as suddenly the lack of vision seemed to render the man useless and unable to stay up, falling over himself and unable to stand up straight as though he had completely lost his balance. You felt relief rush through you as a few of the class chuckled, including Lupin. "Excellent! Goyle! You next!"
When class was over you realised the only person your had your next class with was Malfoy himself. You sighed, unable to stop the sinking feeling in your chest at the likelihood that you'd be his next target. Yet Professor Flitwick's class was surprisingly calm, even when you were paired with Malfoy. "Is there a reason you have a stupid look on your face?" Or perhaps it wasn't so peaceful but rather peaceful as it can be around Draco Malfoy. You shook your head. "Just thinking about how we've went from Lupin's class to this class. Dealt with Boggart's and now we're in charms? Seems a little-" "Ridiculous." Draco said flatly. "Charms is pointless. First year stuff. Hardly worthwhile of a whole class in my opinion." You nodded. "Especially after a Boggart." You agreed, it was rather comical how such a light hearted class was unintentionally put after a challenging one. "I thought yours was a dementor." You admitted. Draco scoffed. "Why would I be afraid of a dementor?" You shrugged. "They aren't the most pleasant of creatures. It was a grim reaper right?" Draco said nothing but nodded once, not meeting your eyes. He had a fear of death.  "What was yours?" He asked much to your surprise. "You'll think it's dumb." You warned him. "Of course, I will. It's coming from you. Tell me anyway." Draco responded. "Thanks, Malfoy." You said with sarcasm and Draco's impatient glare told you to get on with it. "I'm prone to nightmares. I don't really get them here but I do at home. I think it's because the house is so old and creepy that my mind goes wild. That man the Boggart turned into has been around for a long as I can remember. He always stood at the dark corners of my room or the foot of my bed. Just a nightmare. I haven't a clue where he came from." You shrugged. Without warning, Draco sneered at his quill rolling it off his desk before reaching for another students quill. Plucking it from their desk like nothing ever happened and began to write in his book. The student beside him looked for his lost quill, noticing the one of the floor and assumed it was his, swiftly swooping down to reach for it. "Did you...did you just take that?" You asked in disbelief. "No, I borrowed it." Draco responded with a slight furrow in his brow. "Yeah right, you totally stole that!" "Are you an idiot? I just told you I borrowed it!" Draco said sharply. "Okay, do you intent to give it back?" Draco didn't respond and you hummed in satisfaction.
After that it was a matter of convenience for you both to claim you were enemies. Although, it was apparent that you weren't. Whilst not quite friends, hatred wasn't present, even on the days you didn't get on.  It really shouldn't have been much of a surprise that Professor Slughorn paired both you and Draco Malfoy for potions class. Draco sent you an eye roll and a sneer whilst you looked utterly bored by the reaction. You moved to him, of course, because Draco Malfoy didn't move for anybody.
Slughorn put a piece of paper on the desk in front of you making the two of you lean over the desk. He made it clear that whilst these potions were harmless, "Alihotsy Draught? What's that again?" You furrowed your brow at the paper with the given potion the two of you were to create. "Alihotsy as in the plant." Draco scoffed. "Are you an idiot? It's a potion that causes uncontrollable laughter." "Shame, just when I thought I'd be lucky enough to get a jaw binder spell for you." You responded pointedly. Draco scoffed again. "You should know better than speak that way to your superiors." You turned to stare at him in the eye. "Do you really want to play that game right now?" Draco ignored that question. "You're wasting time. The sooner we do this the more decent potions we'll make in the future...more useful ones. Also we're testing this on you." "Me!? Why me!?" "Because I said so." Draco left no room to argue. "I’ll cut this. What does it say to do next?"
When the potion was done, there was a sweet aroma that came off of it. A smell that reminded of sweets and oddly enough childhood. Although you couldn't pinpoint just what made such a description come to mind. It was a purple bubbling liquid with an opaque purple smoke rising from the small cauldron. You grimaced, knowing you'd have to drink it. Whilst it wouldn't be the worst outcome if the potion was correct, if it was wrong then who knew what would happen. You generally just didn't want to be on the receiving end of potions. Draco handed you a small vial of the potion of which you were reluctant to accept but did so. Suddenly a different smell intruded into your nostrils. You felt very dizzy suddenly. You swayed slightly and immediately Draco steadied you with one hand, covering his nose and mouth with the other. "Blaise! Get that away!" Blaise looked up at the two of you before pulling the potion further from the two of you. "Don't think we should have used that much-" You didn't catch the rest of what Blaise said to Crabbe as Draco tugged you firmly. "Hey, are you okay?" You nodded, blinking past the now fading dizziness. "Yeah. Sorry, I don't know what happened." "It's their potion." Draco nodded towards Crabbe and Blaise. "Are you going to faint?" You shook your head. "No, no, I'm fine now." You looked down at the vial in your hand once more. "It's a small amount so it shouldn't last very long." Draco said. Although you were unsure if he was informing you or trying to subtly make you feel better as your unease was very clear. You sighed. "I hate potions." You mumbled to yourself before tipping back the vial into your mouth.
It was as sweet as it smelled. Not the most unpleasant tastes by definitely too much if in larger amounts. If anyone were to drink it, it would not be on it's own. You hummed slightly with a smile. Although you had no idea why. Gradually, you had begun to giggle until it was completely uncontrolled laughter. It was safe to say the potion worked. Professor Slughorn strode up to your table, double checking the potion you had created. "Ah, I see your efforts have been a success!! Excellent work you two!" He praised both you and Draco. Whilst Draco would have usually felt pride in the praise, something else had him distracted. Or at least, that was until you were crouched down, clothing the desk in hysterical laughter. Slughorn seemed to somewhat have sympathy despite his own poorly hidden amusement at your state. "What are you doing!?" Draco asked, looking at you now on the floor. You couldn't stop laughing long enough to tell him coherently that you couldn't stop laughing and it was really beginning to hurt.  "Have this, it'll clear the effects within moments." Professor Slughorn handed Draco the small vial, nodding towards you as he figured it highly unlikely you'd be able to take it yourself.
Somehow the sight of you was the most uplifting thing Draco had experienced in days. You looked absolutely ridiculous and your laughter was more contagious than he'd have liked to have admit. "Don't...laugh...at me!" You said in breathless laughter which only made Draco chuckle a little more. "I can't help it." Draco crouched down. "Stay still! How am I supposed to give you this whilst you squirm around like that!" Even then, he couldn't be completely annoyed at you. He was certain you didn't even realise that you had made him laugh. Something he very much needed as of late. "Swallow it! Swallow it! If you spit that out, you'll be stuck like this." Draco said hurriedly.  Eventually you were able to and as assured, your laughter subsided, leaving you coughing. You took a breath, giving him a small smile. Draco smirked although his stare in you remained, lingering longer than usual.
Draco seemed to grow more hostile yet isolated. His group of friends always behind him as usual but you couldn’t help but notice that it took him longer to notice them. Furthermore, it seemed more difficult for his friends to retain his attention. You noticed but didn’t ask. Not that you had high chances of a response. It seemed better to think that unless Draco approached you, keep out of his way. You got on with him better than your other friends did.
As the year continued, it seemed Slughorn was more interested in Hermione, Harry and Ron. As a matter of fact, it seemed the three grew closer, the more Harry grew suspicious that Draco was a death eater, the more Hermione and Ron seemed to develop a tension between them. You weren’t oblivious to the tension, even if they were. It was no big surprise that the two liked each other. You figured it was only a matter of time before they realised. Whilst they were at Slughorn’s get together - an invite you didn’t receive- you were asked to deliver a book from Professor McGonagall. Once you had done so, you were eager to get back to your dorm, not wanting to be caught wandering the halls.
As fate might have it, you nearly collided into both Draco Malfoy and Professor Snape as you turned a corner. Luckily you halted before you could walk into the two. You couldn’t help but notice how alarmed the two looked but before you could think anything of it Professor Snape spoke up.  “What do you think you are doing wandering the halls at this hour?” Snape demanded icily.  “I-I’m sorry, Professor.” You said hurriedly. “Professor McGonagall asked that I return a book for her. She permitted me specifically. I was on my way back to my dorm now.” Snape eyed you with skepticism. “I trust you two can both find your way back to your appropriate dorms without delay.” Snape said somewhat dryly before turning on his heel and marching back down the hall, leaving both you and Draco.
You exhaled as soon as he was out of earshot. “I thought he was about to rip my head off.” Draco seemed to lightly smirk at your statement. “He probably would have, if it wasn’t for that.” Draco gestured behind him.  “You were at Slughorn’s party?” You raised an eyebrow as the two of you began to walk in the opposite direction.  “No!” Draco said with disgust. “I was crashing it.”  “Why?” You asked unable to hold back a smile. “I wanted to know what all the fuss was about.” He replied.  “Well? Are we missing out?” You asked. Draco scoffed. “We’re the lucky ones.” Draco did a double take. ”Weren’t you invited?” It was his turn to ask. You shook your head. “No. Too pureblood to even dream of getting an invite.” You gave him a playful smile.  “Disgusting...” Draco said to himself, thinking of the group that were in attendance.  “You look great though.”  “Thanks.” Draco smirked.
You did a double take when you found Draco, alone, reading a book. You hurried up to him. “Hey, can I sit with you? I promise I wont bother you.” Draco’s gaze lifting to you. He rolled his eyes. “Fine. What’s up with you?”  “I’m hiding from Harry, Ron and Hermione.”  “Finally seeing how pathetic they are? Come to your senses?” You sent Draco an unimpressed look. “Ron took a love potion when he and Lavender were previously all over each other. I don’t even want to talk about that. If i have to hear “Ron-Ron” one more time i will hunt own a dementor and make it kill me.” Draco couldn’t help but chuckle but continued to listen to your rant.  “Hermione is almost heart broken and Harry wasn’t quick enough to the idea i had. Run like hell and hope it all blows over.” Draco crinkled his nose in disgust. “Weasley under a love potion?”  “It’s weird.” You responded. Draco paused. “Lavender who?”  “Lavender Brown.” You responded.  “Oh...her.” He said and you nodded slowly in slight dismay.  “I mean, get me some fire whiskey and maybe i could stomach it a little longer but I beg of you don’t make me go back there.” Draco chuckled. “I won’t.” He leaned into your side slightly. “Who was the love potion for?”  “Harry.” You said flatly.  “From who?”  “Romilda Vane.”  Draco burst out laughing.  “Draco, shush! I’m not even supposed to tell you this!”  “Tell me more!” Draco laughed.
You shook your head at him in disapproval but the smile was still clear on your face. The atmosphere surprisingly light and peaceful considering who you were spending time with. "How have you been?" You asked. His smile faltered slightly. "I've been fine. Busy." You nodded. "Yeah, I haven't seen you around as much. Dare I say it, it's weird without you." Draco smirked. "Miss me?" "I wouldn't go that far." You smirked back before you let out a laugh. The two of you stared into each other's eyes. You forgot the world in that moment. It was just you and him in the peaceful quiet...and he didn't even think to ruin it which was always a plus. It was also short lived in the end. Whilst the time with him had you convinced that perhaps you could consider him a friend. You couldn't help the slight flutter in your chest from seeing this side to Draco. A much preferable one.
The next time you saw him, he was hurrying around the corner and nearly collided into you. Before you said anything, you noticed that Draco was most certainly not okay. Immediately, you were worried and jumped into action. Draco looked ill, his face pale but his eyes wide in terror. "Are you okay?" You asked him caught off guard. His breathing quickened, not far from hyperventilating. "Hey. Hey. What's wrong? Come with me right?" You grabbed Draco by the wrist pulling him along. You knew something was very wrong as he allowed it without even as much of a protest or sly comment. You left him to a quiet and peaceful part of the castle. "Here, take a breath." You said rubbing his upper arms and looked into his eyes for any sign of pain or injury. Draco swallowed hard, trembling slightly. "Look at me." You coaxed him. "You are okay. Just breathe for a second yeah? Are you hurt?"  After meeting your gaze, Draco shook his head. You visibly looked relieved. "Okay, good. Now deep breaths. Take your time. No one can see you here."
Any other time, Draco would have taken your kindness as insufferable but now, now he was more than thankful for it. Even if he didn't really want to be around anyone. Regardless it surprised him to see you so concerned when usually you could be dismissive of him, even send him a piercing glare when he made comments about you, Harry, Hermione and Ron.
You were even more thrown off guard when tears slid down his face silently. "Hey. What's wrong? What do you need?" Draco wasn't sure what he needed. Ideally an escape from his task that the Dark Lord had given him. Some reassurance that he wasn't a terrible person for what he had just done to Katie. He didn't know what he needed and yet in his silence you seemed to have an idea. You pulled him into a hug. A hug hadn't been something Draco considered would help yet much to his surprise, your hold on him was very comforting. Much to your own surprise, you felt Draco's trembling arms hug you back. You held him tightly.
"You're going to be fine." You said to him quietly. "Whatever is going on, you'll pull through." You stayed like that for roughly five minutes. Suddenly, he abruptly pulled back, wiping his eyes. "Not one word of this, (L/N)." You heard Draco grumble, refusing to meet your eyes before storming off. You didn't follow. Only watching him go in concern and confusion.
Later, you heard that Harry and Draco had gotten into a fight. Harry told you what he had done. Everything happening so fast that he hadn't realised what was happening until it had happened. You demanded to know where he got such a spell, at the very same time Hermione did. Suddenly the book Harry clutched and kept with him at all times didn't seem so much as a cheat sheet- it was a weapon. "For enemies?" You ground out as you stared at Harry. "I didn't know what it did and he attacked me! I'm not proud of it, I just don't understand what that kind of spell is doing in there!" "Listen, I get where you're coming from. You've had your suspicions of Malfoy and its not like you were best buds from the beginning but do you really want to be the person who fires off dangerous spells like that?" You said.
It was true, whilst you were furious Harry had done it and the stupidity it took to use a spell that you didn't know what it did, you understood Harry's predicament. Much like many situations, everyone could regret what they did in hindsight.
"No! Of course not." Harry said rubbing his forehead in stress. "You're sure? That Malfoy did that to Katie?" You asked him. "I think his response confirmed it." Harry said flatly. You nodded. "Okay." You hugged him. "I'm not going to give you hell over something I already know you're putting yourself through.
At seven in the evening, you waited outside the Slytherin common room. You couldn't just walk in and since you hadn't seen Draco, it was likely he was inside. Much to your relief, Blaise was heading back to the common room. "Zabini!" You called out, stopping him in his tracks and he turned to you. He looked confused as to why you were around and even more so why you wanted him. You gestured for him to come over and almost reluctantly he did. As though you were playing a trick on him. "If you see Draco in there, can you tell him that I'm looking for him? I need to talk to him." You asked. Blaise looked unconvinced, uncertain why a friend of Harry Potter would want to speak to Draco Malfoy. "Please." You said quietly with a pleading look. He exhaled, a war clearly in his mind as he turned away and headed into the Slytherin common room. There was a chance both Zabini and Malfoy would ignore you but you stayed put on the chances that Blaise would tell Draco and Draco would come out and see you.
Five minutes later you Draco emerged, looking around and locking eyes with you. He looked fine, tired if anything but seemed to be completely unharmed. "What?" He asked sharply. "Move over here so no one over hears." You said cautiously, eyeing the Slytherin students passing the two of you. Draco looked almost impatient as he tugged you further down the hall and out of prying ear shot. "What?" He asked pointedly. "I heard what happened today. Harry told me things and-" "Potter must be relishing the victory but he'll get what's coming to him!" Draco snapped. "Draco, I know about Katie. Harry told me." You said quickly. Draco didn't seem surprised, annoyed if anything. "Of course he did, but neither of you know a damn thing." Draco sneered. "Draco, stop. I'm not here to pick a fight. I'm here to ask if you're okay." You responded and this time a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes, his rigid composure had begun to relax. "You what?" "Harry hurt you." You said softly. "He hurt you bad and I had to come by and see if you were okay." Draco relaxed, taking a breath. "I'm fine. Tired but I'm fine." "Was that why you were upset earlier?" You whispered. "Because of Katie...?" Draco swallowed hard, looking down momentarily and you knew the answer immediately. "Draco, I don't know what's going on at home and I don't want to make assumptions about you. Believe it or not. I just want you to know that...regardless of everything, I consider you a friend and I'm here for you." Draco tried his best to remain composed and was mostly successful if it wasn't completely obvious that is what he was trying to do. "I can't tell you what the truth is or what's a lie but thanks for being there for me. As weird as it is." You cracked a smile. "Glad it's both of us that find this weird." Draco gave you a small smile in response. "You're a good friend, (Y/N)." He said quietly. "I mean it, I'm here for you." You assured him. "I'm just glad to hear you're okay. Did Madame Pomfrey heal you?" "I can't tell you." He said quietly. You nodded. "Fair enough, it doesn't matter. As long as you're okay... I'll leave you alone now." You took a step back. Draco nodded. "Don't let Filch catch you. Go back to your dorm." He smirked slightly. "Draco Malfoy, do not manifest Filch on me!" You called back.
You had no idea what was coming, the Great Hall was destroyed and you just so happened to be out of the dorms. A cold tight grip grabbed your hand. Draco quickly dragged you down the corridors wearing all black, no longer wearing his uniform. "Draco? What's going on!?" "You can't be here! Not now!" Draco said hurriedly. "What do you mean?" You asked. He eventually took you to Crabbe and Goyle. "Malfoy? What the hell?" Crabbe began but Draco cut him off. "Take them to Gryffindor commons, if you don't, I'll crucio you into next week!" Before the two could comply you spoke up again. "Draco, what is it!?" You asked hurriedly. He stared into your eyes. "Were you really my friend?" Draco asked. You nodded, fear in your eyes. You grew more frightened, the more he dodged the question. Draco said nothing more. Sending a pointed look to Crabbe and Goyle. Immediately after that he watched you go, with a lingering stare.
You only saw Draco a handful of times after that. He didn't return that year, neither did Hermione, Harry and Ron. It made you very lonely, although Neville and Luna were quick to change that. Perhaps it was easier to think that Draco was just a friend back then. Although the time without him told you otherwise. Those lingering looks always resonated with you after he had gone. Friends don't look at each other for that long, do they? Ironically, it was easier to forget your feelings when he was around. When he wasn't, you missed him and thought of him constantly. By the time you had acknowledged your feelings for Draco Malfoy, it had been too late. You never stopped believing that Draco wasn’t the cruel death eater he was ‘destined’ to be. You saw more of him and were determined to see that through to the end.
Perhaps it would have been easier for Draco to see you again after all of these years if he hadn't found your lifeless body back in the Battle of Hogwarts. Perhaps he couldn't stomach looking at you knowing that you never made it out that day of the battle. Although nevertheless you smiled at him from across the platform. If he took anything from it, you wanted him to know his old friend didn't blame him one bit.
Draco sprinted towards your lifeless body, falling to his knees and scooping you up. "(Y/N)!? (Y/N)! It's me!" Draco said hurriedly, shaking you lightly. Your wand rolled out of your hand as realisation sunk in. You weren't breathing. Draco shook his head, tears in his eyes. "No! (Y/N), please!" He hugged you to him. "I'm so sorry." He cried before tearing himself from you and running off.
Draco looked up from his son and wife to the place you stood. Your pleasant smile still in place. A man walked past you and by the time he was out of his line of sight between you both, you were gone. No evidence you had ever been there. Harry, Hermione and Ron didn't seem to catch sight of you even once. He gave a small smile to his son as Astoria said her farewells. Whilst at first, seeing you filled with unease, he couldn't help but feel comforted knowing you were okay in the end.

“Mister Kim.. tell me,” Slughorn wiped the napkin over his mouth, “You and Miss (Y/L/N) do plan on getting married eventually, right?”
Both you and Jin choked on your drinks, neither of you having expected this kind of question from the Professor.
Why would he even think that’s a possibility?
“I.. I'm not sure what you mean, Professor,” Jin replied in the end, trying to play it cool.
“Oh, didn't you tell me last week that you were in love with Miss (Y/L/N)? Or did I misunderstand, perhaps?”
Yeah, never tell a Professor about your feelings, or he might spill them when he's drunk. Lesson learned.
“You're in love with me?” you asked, a little unsure.
“(Y/N), I'm sorry, I wasn’t..-”
But instead, you grabbed his collar and pulled him towards you to kiss him, something you had wanted to do for years now, earning a chuckle from Slughorn.
“I always knew I had a talent for setting people up.”

“How come you always have the books in your hands that I need, Yoongi?” you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
“This is a library. People come here to get books for their classes. And in case you didn't notice, you and I have the same classes,” he replied nonchalantly, not even looking up at you.
“Still,” you stole the book out of his hand and grinned from ear to ear, when he let out a huff, “It's annoying.”
“You want to do this? Here?”
“Do what?” you furrowed your eyebrows as if you didn't know what he was referring to, but he quickly grabbed your waist and pulled you towards him, his lips only an inch from yours, “Oh.. do that.”
“Mister Min, Miss (Y/L/N). Do I need to remind you that this is a library, not a place for you both to fool around?” McGonagall shook her head disapprovingly and you bashfully took a step back, bowing a little.
“I'm sorry, Professor.”
Wasn't your fault your boyfriend was a cocky Slytherin.

“Thank you for helping me, Hoseok,” you smiled shyly at the Hufflepuff in front of you, “I didn't know who else I should ask.”
“Come on.. we're friends, right? Friends help each other.”
Even though Hoseok wished you'd see him as more than that. But if this day proved one thing, it's that you really didn't. You asked him to practice dancing with you, so that you wouldn't make a complete fool out of yourself when you would go to the Yule Ball with.. well, he didn't actually know.
But maybe that wasn't so bad, it would only make him more upset than he already was.
“Just.. follow my lead, okay?” he put your hand on his shoulder, then put his on your waist, before interlinking your free hands together, smiling down at you encouragingly. He was a fantastic dancer and even if you had two left feet, Hoseok managed to make you look graceful, “You're not half as bad as I expected, (Y/N),” he chuckled after a while.
“You're just saying that,” you giggled, lowering your head when you started blushing.
“Whoever your partner is.. he can count himself lucky.”
“I..-” oh god, here we go, “I don't actually have a partner yet.”
That surprised him, because why would you want to learn how to dance for the Yule Ball, if you didn't even have anyone to go there with..-
Unless..
“Did you..- Is that why..- Are you here, because..-” Hoseok stopped moving his feet, his jaw dropping a bit, “Do you want to go to the ball with me?” he said in one go.
Mission successful.
“I do,” you laughed and wrapped your arms around his neck to hug him tightly.

“What about.. Alchemy?”
“Whatever you want to do, I'll go with you,” Namjoon's fingers ran through your hair, smiling when you did.
Your head was lying on his lap, as you were both sitting on the couch in the common room, while trying to figure out which elective classes you wanted to take this year. And once again, your best friend couldn't help but realize, that he was so unconditionally in love with you.
It got worse every year you returned to Hogwarts, but it had definitely started on the day you two first met and both got sorted into Gryffindor.
He never said anything to you though, too afraid that he would ruin the friendship you had both built for so long..
“You okay?” you blinked up at him with a worried frown, when you saw him staring down sadly at you, but he just nodded and faked a smile.
“Yeah.. I am.”
But he really wasn’t.. he just pretended to be.

However, you had been sitting somewhere on the side for a good amount of time now and he was pretty sure that whatever you were drinking wasn't just water anymore and from the way your shoulders were slumped, he assumed that your night wasn't as great as you had hoped it would be.
So with a sigh and his hands in his pockets, he sat down next to you, but still quite far away.
“Did he ditch you?”
“What do you care?” you sneered, not in the mood for your usual rivalry.
He cared because he liked you. He cared because he wasn't the first grader anymore that felt like he had to tease you, just because you were a Gryffindor. He had changed and he knew that this whole Gryffindor/Slytherin hate relationship was bullshit.
But instead of saying something, he simply got up and dragged you with him to the dance floor, when they started playing a slow song. And a moment later, you found yourself in Jimin’s arms, staring up into his beautiful eyes as he moved to the soft tunes of the song.
“What are you doing?” you blinked up at him, your own eyes huge and your voice barely a whisper.
“Spending the night with the girl that I actually wanted to spend it with in the first place.”
Maybe you getting ditched hadn't been the worst thing to happen after all.

He could do this. He was prepared. He had literally practiced this for weeks.
It was all about the right time and this was it.
And so when you were walking towards the Quidditch field all on your own, he yelled out your name and quickly ran after you.
“Oh, Tae!” you smiled happily, “Didn't see you there.. what's up?”
Taehyung took one, two, three deep breaths, before he said what he had practiced. Or wanted to say, “(Y/N)..-”
But your eyes.. your beautiful (Y/E/C) eyes staring back at him, had him stop breathing momentarily.
“Yes?”
Taehyung had never been more sure of something, than he was sure of you being the love of his life. So you know, this was scary. The possibility that you weren’t interested in the slightest, maybe because he was a Hufflepuff and you didn’t want to date one. Maybe because you just weren’t interested in general or would rather stay his friend, than become his girlfriend..
“Do you.. want to go out with me?” that was the best he could do, his heart already beating up to his throat.
That was.. unexpected. You and Taehyung got along, despite being from different houses, but you had no idea he was interested in you in that way..
Not that you were complaining, though.
You licked your lips, a shy smile on your face as you brushed your hair behind your ear, “I'd love to.”
God, you had never seen a more beautiful smile in your life..

“This is all your fault,” you panted, both you and Jeongguk running away from whatever was chasing you through the forbidden forest, “You and your stupid Unicorn Hair!”
“Stop talking and run faster,” he grabbed your hand and interlinked your fingers, pulling you with him and then suddenly yanking you to the side, both of you standing inside a cave a moment later, you being pressed against the cold stone wall by his body.
“If we die here today, just know that I'll find you and kill you again,” you hissed.
“Stop. Talking.”
“Who needs Unicorn Hair anyways and why would you think going into the forbidden forest at night is..-”
He had no other choice, really. It was either this, or getting eaten alive and he'd rather do this.
Jeongguk pressed his lips against yours to finally make you stop talking and even though you had been angry a second before, you couldn't help but sigh into the kiss and relax, especially because you had wanted this for almost as long as he had.
“(Y/N)? Jeongguk?” Hagrid raised his lamp a little higher narrowing his eyes at you two, “Why are you snogging in a cave in the forbidden forest?”
“We.. there was..- there was a monster,” you said, quickly wiping over your lips and trying to defend your actions.
“A monster? No.. no, there was just me running after Fang.”
Oh well.. Fang can be pretty scary too.. right?
Right?

My Top 10 Favourite Giants
Colossus, behemoth, Brobdingnagian, whatever you call them giants are one of the greatest figures in mythology and fiction. Having done dragons and witches I am continuing with the theme of miniseries of the comic book continuation of the Jim Henson series “The Storyteller.”
Tumblr media
By the way, great read. I highly recommend it. Without further adieu, lets get started.
1.
Tumblr media
What is a sure way to get to the top? Be a character in a Kenneth Branagh film, I only wish the gifs from that film were at the top. Now, I might be cheating here but here me out! Loki has been referred to many things but he was a giant by birth and an Aesir by adoption, of course Odin and Loki’s grandfathers were brothers so them being blood brothers too kind of makes it like how a good portion of Augustus’ adoptive sons were his own grandchildren only with the relation changed from grandfather and grandchild to... some form of cousin. Also with this portrayal, Loki is not a full-blooded giant. As Kenneth Branagh himself stated Loki is Laufey’s bastard son and that Loki is at least part frost giant but at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter due to the original version of Loki having been a born giant. Is the MCU portrayal the most faithful portrayal of Loki period? No, that honor would go to “God of War” and even then it has problems such as adaptational heroism but later on down the line he might gain the negative traits of his original counterpart. Is this the second most accurate portrayal of Loki? No, that would go to the DC Comics portrayal due to DC being more faithful than Marvel with the Norse myths just as Marvel is more faithful than DC with the Greco-Roman myths. Is this the most faithful portrayal of Marvel’s Loki? Well, it is one of the most faithful but the portrayal of from “The Marvel Super Heroes Heroes”, which is the ancestor of motion comics, and the portrayal of “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” are both tied for the most faithful so I’d say the MCU Loki is the second most faithful at least when it comes to portrayals of Marvel’s Loki. I would also like to clarify that this is for Loki as a whole not a specific portrayal and I really love the portrayals I have mentioned but you should also read the various retellings of the stories he featured in such as “Myths of the Norsemen” by Roger Lancelyn Greene.
2.
Tumblr media
Polyphemus is one of the most famous giants in all of literature and is probably the most famous of his sub-group: the Cyclops. Why is he one of my favourites? Probably because I was introduced to him at a young age with the series “Mythic Warriors.” He is a fantastic antagonist for his section of the Odyssey and perhaps one of the most famous giants of mythology.
3.
Tumblr media
Willie might be something of a goof but he is the first giant I was ever introduced to and coming from an adaptation of one of the most famous giant stories, he shouldn’t be overlooked.
4.
Tumblr media
Another giant I was introduced to at a young age, and perhaps one of the few moral giants on this list, was the BFG. He is a lanky fellow, as lean and hungry as Cassius but as sweet as honey. He is a good character and he is someone I think of when I think of giants as heroes.
5.
Tumblr media
Another moral giant, Grawp is the full-blooded half-brother to the half-giant Hagrid, who due to being a half-giant and the way they tend to be different from full giants would probably require a list of their own, really Antaeus would probably be in the number one spot. He is a good fellow, at last becomes one after a few years.
6.
Tumblr media
Enter Atali, the titular character of the “Conan of Cimmeria” story “The Frost Giant’s Daughter.” Her role in life is to lead wounded warriors of the North to be killed by her brothers, sons of the Frost Giant Ymir. She puts some sort of enchantment over them that fills them with lust so they will follow her, if they are able to. Everything goes terribly wrong when she ends up enchanting Conan, who kills her brothers and is so under the power of Atali’s enchantment that his code that puts rape beneath him means he probably would have done so had Atali not ended up calling for her father to rescue her. At the end of the day, Atali is still out there but without her brothers she probably won’t be luring any wounded warriors anymore and with the Hyborian Age being a “lost age” it is prime fan fiction fuel for what she may have become. An example of the Fair Folk perhaps?
7.
Tumblr media
One of the great biblical villains, Goliath would make an excellent villain protagonist. I figure if the other biblical strongman Samson can get movies about him then Goliath can as well. Of course with the Dead Sea Scrolls text of Samuel, Josephus and the Septuagint manuscripts all giving his height as 6′9, he isn’t the tallest giant on this list, but those are the oldest manuscripts to make mention of his height. A mistake many screen portrayals make is that they do not do the research, “David and Goliath” and the “Xena” episode “The Giant Killer” for example are particularly bad about this. They just make him really big. Just do a Cecil B. DeMille and explain the sources to the audience at the beginning and outright state that is Goliath’s height in the oldest manuscripts.
8.
Tumblr media
Going from biblical back to classical, Typhon is one of the greats. Being the father of all monsters does not hurt either. Perhaps what I love so much about him is that he basically made a lot the Greek gods go “Screw it, lets move to a different country” and in classical tradition they went over to Egypt and some of them started wearing animal heads, it is kind of hilarious but also shows the Greek thinking of things but I have never seen an Egyptian explanation of equating some of their gods with the Greek ones, in the one time the two mythologies do crossover it is merely “X, Deity of Y, whom you call Z” back and forth between Greeks and Egyptians. Just the thought that Typhon so scared a bunch of Greek gods to basically change their names and go into hiding is funny but also kind of badass. If you are wondering why I went with the “God of War” picture it is because even though it isn’t accurate, “God of War” might be the most faithful depiction of classical and Norse mythology I know of but even then it is not perfect, I genuinely like the look.
9.
Tumblr media
Nearly bookended with another character from Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” we have Laufey. Now, in the original mythology Laufey was Loki’s mother while his father was Fabauti. Why were the names switched around? I have no idea, neither seems particularly more sinister a name than the other. Actually, when I think about I don’t know any other portrayal of Laufey with an on-screen appearance besides this one. Sure, he has appeared in the comics by Marvel but in “Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” he is mentioned by Loki, if my memory serves, as having been killed by Odin while in “God of War” she is already dead meaning I’m left with only this portrayal of Laufey to use for the GIF and I’m okay with that. I love Kenneth Branagh films and Colm Feore is a terrific actor that I have seen live as King Lear. Going back to MCU’s Loki not being a full-blooded frost giant, Laufey is possibly the only one who knows the identity of his mother and that means he was the one who could have given the answer of just what exactly Loki’s heritage is. We know he is part frost giant but what is the other part? Was she an Asgardian or even a human Laufey took as a war prize? Honestly, the identity of Loki’s biological mother is one of the great mysteries of the MCU because we know who his biological and adoptive fathers were, we know who his adoptive mother was but who was his biological mother? Laufey knew and now he is dead so we can’t ask him.
10.
Tumblr media
Yet another giant from Norse mythology, Surtur is perhaps one of the best. You hear “Fire Giant” and you think Surtur. Unfortunately, he is kind of underused. He barely got used in “Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”, had both a minor and a major role in “Thor: Ragnarok” and hasn’t even appeared in person yet in “God of War.” He is an excellent antagonist and one of the great giants.

Hey my Dude, I was wondering could you write a Drarry Soul mate AU? So when you meet your soulmate you get their first name on your wrist/forearm. Also could you add background pairings ron x Hermione and ginny x Luna? Thanks!
Sorry for the wait!! I love soulmate au’s :^D, here you go my dude (this one is long oof):
Harry stepped up to the small platform in the robes shop, where a young blond boy was getting fitted for what looked like various sets of robes. Harry felt a strange tingly feeling on his wrist as he looked at the boy, that soon spread throughout his body. It kind of felt similar to what he felt when he received his wand. Harry looked down at his wrist to see two words inscribed on it: Draco Malfoy. Harry pouted, it looked like a name. But why was there a name on his wrist?
The young boy on the small platform gasped and Harry looked up into bright grey eyes.
“What’s your name?” The young boy demanded. Harry didn’t really have a good feeling about this, but he told the boy anyway.
“I’m Harry Potter,” He said. The boy’s eyebrows rode up, and a look of fear washed over his face before he ran out of the shop. Harry watched him go, confused by the strange interaction. The woman who was fitting the boy sighed, and told Harry to step up for his own robes. Harry would have to ask Hagrid what the name on his wrist meant.
***
Tears welled in Draco’s eyes as he raced to the wand store his mother was at. It wasn’t Ollivander’s, but rather a smaller, more expensive chain that fixed and restored old and broken wands. He found his mother immediately and tugged on her robes.
“What is it, my darling? What is the matter?” She said, cupping his cheek. Draco shoved his wrist in front of her and her eyes widened. “Oh- oh dear, we mustn’t tell your father. Draco, you mustn’t tell anyone. Do you understand?” She asked, and Draco nodded. She wiped the tears from his face and once they had gathered their things they apparated back home. A house-elf was sent to retrieve Draco’s forgotten robes.
Draco had grown up his whole life hearing about soulmates. The one person who you were destined to love. When you first met them, their name would appear on your wand wrist, revealing the person who were meant to love and be loved by. He had read all the stories as a child, until his father had reprimanded him and told him to read books more fitting for “a boy his age”. Draco had never let the stories leave his heart though, and he constantly had his mother tell him the story of her soulmate.
Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Black had met before they could properly hold a wand. They had met at one of the parties hosted for pureblood families, and had remained friends since. They went through the proper courting and got married almost immediately after Hogwarts. A perfect love story.
Yet not every human was a good person, just because they had a soulmate didn’t mean that they stopped being a bad person. Lucius was quick to inform Draco as a child that unless his mate was a pureblood girl from a nice family, he would not marry them. Draco had cried at the thought of being separated from his soulmate, but his mother reminded him that his soulmate probably would be a nice pureblood girl, whom he would love very much.
Draco now sat on his bed, sobbing into his pillow as his mother stroked his back soothingly.
“Father won’t let me marry Harry Potter, won’t he?” Narcissa shook her head sadly and continued to rub Draco’s back.
“It’ll be alright my love, perhaps you and young Harry could simply be friends? Not all soulmates are in romantic relationships,” Draco sniffed and nodded his head. His mind eased by the thought of he and Harry becoming friends. Maybe he could be with his soulmate after all.
***
When Harry showed Hagrid the name on his wrist, Hagrid had chuckled softly and patted the top of Harry’s head.
“Why s’ just yer soulmate, figures you’d get stuck with a Malfoy, but I bet he’ll turn round for yer sake,” Harry was confused. Soulmates were made up, weren’t they? He used to hide behind the couch and watch the movies that Dudley watched if he got the chance, and sometimes they were about soulmates. But apparently in the wizarding world they were very much real, and Hagrid had told him about how every wizard and witch got their soulmate’s name tattooed magically on their wrist when they first met them.
“So this- Draco Malfoy, is my soulmate. Even if it’s a boy?” Harry asked. Hagrid nodded.
“Wizards are a tad more- accepting than muggle folk, no one can control their soulmate, and it’d be rude to keep em’ apart. But some purebloods like to have their children marry for money or a good name” Harry nodded slowly, assimilating this.
“But- if he’s my soulmate, why did he run away?”
Hagrid seemed lost in thought for a moment.
“Ye should ask him that when ye get to Hogwarts. I’m sure he’d be happy that Harry Potter is his soulmate, eh?” Hagrid nudged him and laughed, Harry smiled and dug into his ice cream. He had a soulmate, he thought as he took a bite, a soulmate named Draco Malfoy.
***
Harry had been on the train with Ron when a bushy haired girl stormed into their compartment, asking about some other boy’s lost toad. Ron hadn’t responded, and had dropped the carton of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavoured Beans that he was holding. He pulled down the sleeve of his jumper and gasped at his wrist.
“Are- are you Hermione Granger?” the girl, Hermione, looked at him inquisitively.
“Yes? And you are?” She asked. Suddenly, a confused look ran over her face, and she too looked down at her wrist and gasped.
“I’m Ron Weasley! I think we’re-”
“Soulmates,” she finished for him, beaming as she sat across from Harry and Ron.
“I guess we better get to know each other, I read up on soulmates before I got here, my parents are muggles,” She told him. She then turned to Harry, who was smiling softly at the pair with amusement. “You’re Harry Potter!” she said, looking at his uncovered scar. Harry nodded at Hermione and shook the hand she held out to him.
“Er- nice to meet you,” He told her.
“Have you found your soulmate already, Harry?” She asked. Ron looked at him too, still grinning from the excitement of finding his soulmate.
“Yeah, uh here,” Harry held out his wrist and Ron promptly choked on a bean.
“Draco Malfoy? Oh, that’s rotten luck, the Malfoy’s are a bad sort, all blood purists and snobby,” Harry frowned, he didn’t like to hear his soulmate being insulted, but he trusted Ron more than Malfoy, who he had actually never met. Just then the compartment door opened, and the subject of their conversation peered in.
“It’s true then, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts,” He smirked at Harry, and his eyes narrowed as they flicked over Ron.
“You- You’re the boy from the robes shop, we’re soulmates,” Harry tried to smile at him.
“Yes,” Malfoy agreed. He stuck out his hand, “I think as soulmates, we should be friends, you wouldn’t want to be with the wrong sort now,” Malfoy said, glancing distastefully at both Ron and Hermione. Harry became angry at that, these were his first friends and Malfoy was insulting them. Soulmate or not, it wasn’t right.
“I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks,” He said, and winced as hurt took over Malfoy’s face.
“Fine then, should’ve known you’d be a lousy soulmate anyhow, Potter,” Draco spat. With that Draco strode out of the compartment, two large boys following close behind. Harry never did get to ask him why he ran away.
***
Their rivalry continued throughout the years, both choosing to ignore the fact that they were soulmates. It was his 4th year and Harry was thinking of someone to ask to the yule ball. He approached Ginny, but found she was going with Luna Lovegood, a Ravenclaw in his year and Ginny’s soulmate. Harry was happy for Ron’s little sister, but couldn’t help the flash of disappointment in being denied a date. He ended up going alone to the yule ball, and though Ron and Hermione made sure that they spent most of their time with him and not just each other, he couldn’t help but feeling a pang of loneliness.
He glared at Malfoy, who was spinning Pansy Parkinson around gracefully, his blond hair wasn’t slicked back, but fell in loose strands that framed his face elegantly. Harry just wished that he had a soulmate who could actually love him, not one who insulted his friends and had tried to ruin his life on multiple occasions. Not many knew that they were soulmates, for neither Draco or Harry were eager to tell others. Harry just wished that Malfoy could actually love him.
***
It was his 6th year, and Draco sobbed into his arms as he curled into himself tightly in the hospital wing. Potter, his supposed soulmate, had just torn him open- on purpose. Draco couldn’t help but pine towards the Gryffindor throughout his years at Hogwarts. He knew that after his mistake on the train, that Potter would never be his friend. So Draco took to trying to get a rise out of Potter every chance he could, just to see his reaction.
Two days ago, however, he had just wanted Potter to leave. Draco’s home had been overtaken by that monster, and his parents could be killed any day now. Not that Draco cared too much about his father. Only his mother, yet, if his father wasn’t there, there wouldn’t be anyone to protect her. The bloody cabinet he was supposed to fix wasn’t working, and the last thing he needed was Potter barging in and disrupting his breakdown.
The pain he felt as Potter slashed his chest open had been more than physical. It proved that his soulmate hated him, that there wasn’t anyone out there meant to love him. And it hurt. Draco cried himself to sleep in the hospital bed that night, luckily there were no other occupants in the wing with him, so there was no one to disturb him.
Draco woke the next morning to feel a pressure around his hand. He jolted up and looked down to see his pale fingers entwined with darker ones. His eyes followed up along the arm of what could only be Harry Potter, and was met with the Gryffindor’s sleeping form. His glasses were askew and his hair was a mess, but then again, it always was like that.
Draco slowly extracted his hand and rolled over, pretending that it had never happened. He must still be woozy from the pain potions, or maybe he was dreaming. Draco pinched himself and looked behind him, but Potter was still there.
Draco turned back round and closed his eyes, willing himself to sleep, hoping that Potter would leave before he would wake up. Draco was confused. Why was Potter holding his hand? They were soulmates but- Potter hated him. Maybe the bloody git feels guilty for treating you like a practice board for a Diffindo charm. That was a pretty likely option for Potter, who Draco had watched throughout his teen years. It’s just guilt, his hand probably fell or something, and it just ended up that way. Yes, that seemed like a more logical option for Draco, and he fell asleep once more.
When he woke up, Potter was thankfully gone and Snape had come for him.
***
Harry winced as he was pushed to the ground in front of Malfoy.
“Is it him, Draco? Is it Potter? Look again,”
“I- I can’t be sure,” Draco responded shakily. It was Potter, though, but he sure as hell wouldn’t let his father know that. Potter’s bright green eyes were slightly hidden behind the hexed bubbles that covered his face, and they gazed up at Draco. Draco gave one more look at Potter before standing and going back to his mother. She gave him a concerned look and he shook his head. She knew he was lying.
***
Harry needed to get to the forbidden forest, he had already said his goodbyes to Ron and Hermione. But he needed to find someone else now. It was his luck that he spotted the signature white-blond color of his hair in the sea of running students, and Harry quickly grabbed him. Malfoy froze and put his wand under Harry’s neck until he saw who it was and slowly lowered his wand. Yet his eyes were still wide and fearful.
Harry didn’t say anything. But he leaned in and kissed Draco chastely. Draco stumbled, but leaned into the kiss quickly.
“W-why?” He asked Harry shakily.
“I need to die,” Harry whispered. Draco’s mouth went agape and he opened his mouth to say something but Harry kissed him again. “I’m sorry,” he said, and then he ran away.
***
It was over, Voldemort’s corpse lay at Harry’s feet and Draco’s heart soared. In what felt like just a minute ago, Hagrid had carried Harry’s limp form into the courtyard, but then he had jumped up and ran at Voldemort, killing the Dark Lord with a simple Expelliarmus. Draco started to run towards him, but was jerked back violently. He turned around to be met with a glaring Auror. Draco shut his eyes as they apparated. He hadn’t even had a chance to say goodbye.
***
Harry watched in horror as they brought Draco out. He had only stayed a week in Azkaban, awaiting his trial, yet his hair was already dirty and matted, and there was a series of fresh bruises and scars that dotted his face. Harry guessed that they hadn’t even allowed him to clean up after the battle. When they called him up, Harry stood and proceeded to tell the Wizengamot how Draco was forced into his role as a Death Eater, how Draco has saved his life, and how Harry had saved his. He left out that they were soulmates, and soon Draco was released on one month’s probation and house arrest. Harry didn’t get the chance to talk to him afterwards.
***
Draco kept his head down as he walked into the Great Hall for his 8th year. He sat at the table specifically designed for the returning students, and refused to return Potter’s stare from the other end of the table. The speech McGonagall presented was lighthearted and told of equality, how no prejudices should be held, the war was over, etc.
Draco just wanted to get to his dorm as quick as possible. He barely touched his food before he stood and silently walked out. He ignored the whispers and glares that followed him and made his way to the 8th year dorms that were located on the previously unused 3rd floor corridor.
He made his way up to where the boys dorms were, and searched to find the one that had his name on it. There were four boys to a room, and only four rooms in the hallway, so it wasn’t hard to find his own. Dread engulfed him when he saw his name listed amongst Weasley’s, Boot’s and Potter’s.
Draco pushed through the door and went to the bed where his trunk was sat. He changed into a white t-shirt and pajama pants, and slid into his bed. He made sure to close the curtains and cast a silencing charm, in case he had a nightmare. He knew it would be unlikely- considering that Draco would probably not be able to fall asleep that night.
***
Harry picked around his food until he heard Hermione scoff.
“Go after him, Harry,” she told him softly. Harry looked up at his best friend and furrowed his brows.
“He wouldn’t want to talk to me,” He told her.
“Like hell he wouldn’t, the git’s been in love with you since forever, and so have you,” Ron told him. Hermione clucked her tongue at his swearing and swatted his shoulder. She turned back to Harry.
“You shouldn’t outright force him into anything, but maybe befriend him. After all, me and Ron didn’t start dating until 6th year,” Harry nodded and bit his lip before rising and walking swiftly out of the Great Hall. He was gonna befriend Draco Malfoy. He was finally gonna befriend his soulmate.
***
3 months later…
Draco curled into the warmth that was his boyfriend as they lay cuddled together in Draco’s bed. Harry’s head was tucked under his chin, and had wrapped himself around Draco like a koala bear. Draco ran his hand through the strands on Harry’s neck and leant his head down to kiss his head. Harry groaned softly and shifted beneath him. Draco watched as his eyes fluttered open, and he smiled sleepily at Draco.
“Hullo, love,” He muttered and Draco kissed him softly. It was 3 months ago that Harry had begun to sit with him at meals and classes, offered to have a seeker’s game on the pitch, and study in the library. After a weak of his badgering, Draco complied and the two did almost everything together.
It was on Halloween that Draco had found Harry curled up by himself on his bed, crying softly. Draco had remembered the significance of that date for him, the date of his parent’s deaths, and had pulled Harry into his arms. Draco had wondered why he wasn’t with Weasley and Granger, but found that Harry had told them to leave him on his own. Yet, he hadn’t pushed Draco away and although Harry was shocked at first by the gesture, he had leaned into the comfort. They had fallen asleep like that, and the next morning Harry had kissed him as they got up together. They had been dating ever since.
“Good morning,” Draco whispered. Harry let his eyes close again and he tucked his head under Draco’s own once more.
“What’s the time?” he muttered into Draco’s neck.
“Half eight,” Draco said softly. He twirled one of Harry’s curls round his finger. “We need to get up,” He dislodged himself from Harry and laughed as Harry grunted in discontent. He began to get dressed and Harry rose a couple minutes later.
They walked down to the Great Hall together. Before they ate, Draco’s mother’s barn owl swooped down in front of him and dropped a small letter. She was still on house arrest and he wrote to her weekly. She was aware of his relationship with Harry, and had been surprisingly supportive. Apparently Lucius’ opinion on the matter was irrelevant now that he was in Azkaban for life. Draco tucked away the letter to read later and pulled a cup of tea towards himself.
He turned and watched as Harry piled a meager amount of food on his plate. He tsked and put another spoonful of potatoes and eggs on his plate, as well as another scoop of beans on Harry’s toast. Harry sighed and rolled his eyes but a smile flickered at his mouth.
Draco looked up as he sipped his tea and faintly smiled at the sight in front of him. Ginny Weasley had closed her eyes and was leaning her head on Luna’s shoulder as Luna read aloud from a book of magical creatures in the America’s. Ginny would smile every now and then and ask Luna to repeat a fact, which Luna gladly recited. He turned to spare a glance at Harry and found his boyfriend beaming at him.
“They’re happy, aren’t they?” Draco whispered, returning his smile softly.
“Yes, and so are we” Harry said as he leaned in to kiss him.
