Summary: Robin and Nancy are best friend since middle school but they can't get along with each other their chemistry class put them on a group task.

Chapter 1: Groupmates

I'm freezing in the sun I'm burning in the rain The silence I'm screaming, calling out your name

Robin and Nancy are in the library searching a book for group work. Mr. Smith, their chemistry class teacher, decided to pair them up because the two couldn't get along with each other.

“Her gaze what the….?! Damn It's fucking hot” Robin said inside her mind she immediately look away hiding her red cheek.

“Stop that gaze Nancy, it makes me—Help me here, don't just stare there, doing nothing” Robin complain but she can feel her heart thumping so fast, her breathe ragged while searching the book for chemistry class and can't help stuttering when talking at Nancy she never get nervous around people but yeah pretty girls but Robin admitted herself that Nancy is not her type.

Nancy just roll her eyes and resting her veiny hands on book shelf. Nancy admit to herself that she's enjoying teasing Robin watching her cute reactions and looking deeply into her puppy eyes satisfy her. Robin lock her eyes on Nancy's hand touching a book.

“Keep staring at my hands, it will melt away” Nancy purr she smirks then raised her eye brows she watch Robin forehead frowns.

“What, no!” it's a sign that she protest.

“Get that book that's the title that Mr. Smith gave to us.” Robin mutter she's questioning herself why Nancy being playful to her, mostly Nancy behave professional in academic stuff like group works.

“Whatever, Robin” or there's hidden beneath her personality? that only few people knows even they are middle school friends she didn't know it, then yep Nancy's annoyed face shows up again, they keep bantering, the book almost torn up their hands holding the book griply “Calm down Robin, Just let me read this allow me to lead the way” Robin just sit back, she's so done and let out a huge sigh.

Nancy move her eyes she realised Robin being upset. she shared the book with Robin, their arms brushing together it send an electric spark to Robin spine. “Hey, I didn't mean to upset you, ok? Let us things work out, even though we can't be civil.” Nancy apologised.

They continue reading the page. Robin trying to reach the other side of page because her eyes starting to blurry, she can't read properly her head keep pushing in Nancy's side. Nancy never complain about this she just let the girl read, as Robin's finger tracing the words, she can feel Nancy's hot breathe on her sensitive neck, also she can smell her rosy perfume.

“Don't look back Robin..”

“Just don't..! you will be dead meat in no time!” she warn herself. Nancy rest her face on her palm placing it on desk while looking straight at Robin's expression.

“Hey, Relax I don't know why you feel tense around me, do you feel intimadated?” Nancy's speak sternly, waiting for Robin to speak.

“Yeah, sometimes...” Robin pause trying to make an eye contact with Nancy but her eyes trying to avoid her gaze.

“I look like a fool like broken machine around you because of your uhmm intense personality but that's not my concern right now” Robin keep speaking fastly while looking at the page pretending to read she could see Nancy's face on her peripheral vision. “Then… there's any other reason besides my attitude?” Nancy ask with curiosity she wonder what Robin thinking right now. “Sometimes I just can't read Nancy, she's so unpredictable and kind of uhmm mysterious?” Robin didn't answer her question, she just shrugged it off as if it's not a big deal to her, but definitely she's overthinking it even she's at home later.

Once they are done reading the book, Nancy heading to journalism room, while Robin walking outside the campus. She saw the sky darken, and lots of clouds it's a sign that rain will come. She realized that she forgot to bring an umbrella.

Robin wait to see if rain will go away after a couple of minutes, Jonathan's car arrives at the entrance of school, Nancy walking towards the entrance, she's holding a pink umbrella and saw Robin standing beside the bench with her bike.

“Didn't you bring umbrella today?” Nancy ask with concern voice. “Would you mind if we would take you home?”

“No, I'm with my bike I don't know if you two can place it on Jonathan's car”

“I'm fine, the rain will eventually umm stop anyway” Robin explain clearly she doesn't want Nancy to be concerned about her. It kills her entirely because she just getting more and more falling deeply into her.

“It's cold right here are you sure about that?” Robin just gave a reassuring smile. “Here take it, take care. Call me if you are in home. We can continue the group work tommorow at my house, after class.” Nancy gave her umbrella to Robin, before she ran in Jonathan's car sitting at the passenger seat. She smile at her lover and kiss Jonathan's lips. Robin saw it but she immediately look away, after that Jonathan's car left. Robin just holding the umbrella alone in the middle of the rain with her bike.

Wishing that I'll be the woman, I'll give my love that can't explain

We will be running in the rain and I will hold your hand, hold my hand

One time I ate probably way too many mushrooms and I could feel my trip going bad. So, I turned to my roommate and I said something along the lines of,

"I feel amazing but I feel like this sensation has a price and I'm about to pay it."

To which he responded, "What are you, catholic?" And that knocked me so firmly out of my mental state that the rest of the trip was hands down the best time I ever did mushrooms.

thinking about that post of people assuming ao3 has an algorithm and also about how bonkers persistent the view is that ao3 is social media lite. like with startling regularity I get comments saying something along the lines of "it's probably weird to comment on a fic this old--" no it isn't!!!! this is an archive I am literally just assuming you searched for a selection of specific tags or sorted by kudos or looked back on my pseud or any other number of completely normal ways to use an archive site ?? kill the tiktok ghost in your brain and comment on old stuff it's NOT weird

can you believe that we have fanfiction. that we have websites dedicated to fanfiction. that there is a place that you can go and read tens, hundreds, thousands and thousands of pieces of writing that strangers have made. people who are not "writers". people who come home at the end of the day and have feelings and say, i am going to put that into words. i am going to share those words. short, long, sweet, sad, horny, funny, wonderful words. we are all just human and we all love to make and remake and share that with others. can you believe that.

AO3 IS IN TROUBLE IF CALIFORNIAN AGE VERIFICATION LAW PASSES

An upcoming Age verification bill centered in California will be voted on Monday-- And as always,instead of actually protecting kids, it will lead to more online censorship and privacy risks, as it will force websites hosting to verify their users age by sending their ID, your browser history would be linked to it. if you live California, call your reps and tell them to oppose the bill AB3080 as it highly unconstitutional.

They also deem LGBT content harmful to minors, as well as mentions of weapons and tobacco, putting them on the same level as NSFW content.

Since AO3 headquarters reside in California, much like Reddit, Twitter,Discord and Youtube (and others) who knows how bad the effects would be. Instead of just effecting Californians (even then its concerning.) the effects would be US or even worldwide. VPNs wont help.
