Dating Justin Russo headcanon
He will always make sure you have everything you could possibly ever need or want, even if it required him to use magic
He brags about you all the time to anyone who will listen. His friends thought you were made up until they met you, and from there your new group of friends was inseparable
Your relationship with Theresa is amazing. She calls you Mijita and you call her Momma Russo. She can’t wait for you and Justin to get married one day
He’s always the responsible one. He makes sure that you’ve eaten today and will whip something up for you if he finds out you haven’t
Be prepared for so many corny jokes and nerdy references that even though you don’t have a clue what he’s talking about, they never fail to make you smile
One of Justin’s favorite things to do is watch the Harry Potter movies and point out all the inaccuracies in the movie series
He’s super clingy, but not in a bad way, he just loves being around you. He invites you everywhere even if he knows you can’t come because he wants you to know he’s always thinking about you.
Justin Russo is an absolute cuddle bug. He loves to lay with you with your head on his chests while he plays with your silky locks of hair. This often seeps out into public places in the form of soft touches. Whether it’s holding your hand or touching the small of your back or sitting close enough that your thighs touch, Justin has to be touching you at all times
He gets jealous sometimes because he fears he’s not enough for you. After Juliet, he was worried that he’d never be good enough for someone to stay around long enough, so every time he sees you and Mason goofing around, he gets a little territorial. You guys have talked about it though and it’s never gone past the point of him doing something he’d regret. It just means you have to cuddle him and reassure him a little extra that day
He’s the most loyal guy you’ll ever meet. He’s been though so much in his life that he would never do anything that would risk you leaving him. Even if you guys are arguing he always tries to be as understanding and accommodating as possible because he hates seeing you upset and wants to quit arguing as soon as possible

Max noticed a change in your personality when you began dating your boyfriend. You spoke differently and dressed differently in an attempt to impress the guy you and every other girl in the school had a crush on. He remembered when you rushed over to his locker to tell him about your first date and Max was surprised, not because he thought you weren't good enough to be dating someone so popular, but because rumour had it that he was seeing another girl. But he kept his concerns to himself and even went clothes shopping with you for your date and as you stepped out from behind the curtain Max couldn't help but wish he had the confidence to ask you first.
You were friends first and Max always reminded himself of that whenever he listened to you talk about your boyfriend and when you rescheduled time with him to spend with your boyfriend. He was supportive even when he left like he couldn't breathe as you remained oblivious to his feelings for you.
The relationship was a whirlwind in every sense. Three weeks longer than any previous relationships your now ex-boyfriend had. Max was thankful that, while you sometimes cancelled on him, you always felt able to talk to him openly about anything. So when cracks began to appear in your relationship he knew about it and did everything he could to make sure you knew how much he cared about you.
The day it all fell apart Max was serving at the substation and you were studying, waiting for him to finish up so you could spend the rest of the day together - your suggestion for making up for lost time and Max couldn't hide his excitement at having you all to himself.
The day started great, with laughter shared between you both as he came over to sit with you when the substation was quiet, but when your boyfriend arrived the smile quickly left your lips and Max was ordered away.
"We need to talk." Your boyfriend sat across from you while Max reluctantly retreated, staying close by so he could overhear the conversation.
"We need to break up."
You were shocked by his behaviour, stammering as you asked, "Wha- why?"
"I don't think it's working out between us. We're two different people. It's not you, it's me."
Max almost rolled his eyes at the cliché statement.
"Why?" You pressed for answers, although you felt a surprising sense of relief.
"B-Because...look at your sweater." He gestured to the knit sweater you were wearing and you glanced down, before looking at him with confusion.
"It was a Christmas present. What's wrong with it?"
"Everything. And that's the problem."
Your lips parted in shock when suddenly a drink was poured over your now ex-boyfriend's head, the shock making him stand up and turn to glare at Max who was glaring at him.
"No, you are."
"Max!" You shrieked, looking at your sweater, drying the small splatters of soda with your sleeve. You quickly got between the two when they stood toe to toe, and dismissed your ex swiftly. "You should go."
"I'm already gone." He stormed out, scoffing as he shook his head and you looked at Max in disbelief before heading upstairs to the apartment.
"Y/N, wait!" He called as he rushed after you, following you to the kitchen where you cleaned your sweater. hoping it wouldn't stain. "I'm sorry."
"What were you thinking?" You turned to him as his mouth opened and closed, stammering to think of an answer. Max decided it was time he stopped pretending you were just a friend to him.
"I-I thought you deserved better." He said. "He's a jerk and you - well, you're - you."
"Great that really cleared it up." You replied sarcastically, wiping your sweater.
"The truth is..." You looked at him, crossing your arms and Max licked his lips, taking a deep breath to summon all of his courage to finally confess how he felt about you. "I've had feelings for you for a while now and I guess I always thought I would have time to tell you before someone else did." Your gaze softened whilst you lowered your arms, your feet rooted to the ground as he approached you. "You deserve more than he could ever have given you because if he cared about you, he wouldn't change a thing about you because - you're perfect." He exhaled, a smile tugging at his lips. "You're perfect."
You stared up at him, feeling tears prick your eyes at how vulnerable he looked right now. "Max -"
"I mean it." He continued, clearing his throat. "I'm sorry. For the sweater."
You couldn't fight the smile appearing on your lips and shook your head as you stepped forward to hug him. You rested your cheek on his shoulder as he returned the embrace and as you stood savouring the moment you couldn't deny that Max had been there all along. Through every up and down in your life he was always by your side, prepared to shelter you from a storm or picking up the pieces from the aftermath. But this time he didn't have to, because you realised why you felt so relieved when your ex broke up with you.
You lifted your head, meeting his gaze which was drawn to your lips now and then due to the distance, or lack thereof, between you. "What if we didn't work out?"
Max was caught off guard by the question but quickly shook his head. "That could never happen." He spoke confidently.
You moved your hand to his chest, glancing down when you felt his heartbeat that was racing wildly from the touch. "Then promise me that if it doesn't - if you realise that I'm not what you wanted - "
Max placed a hand on your cheek, and you met his gaze which made you forget what you were going to say. "That could never happen."
"How do you know?" You asked quietly.
"Because you're all I've ever wanted."
You closed your eyes when he leaned in, feeling him slow down as if to give you time to move away, but when you didn't, he kissed you hesitantly, before growing more certain of his actions when you reciprocated, leaning into the kiss.
After a few moments, you pulled away, glancing up at him as you rolled your lips, smiling softly which eased his concerns. He mirrored the smile, and you placed a hand on the nape of his neck, reigniting the kiss.
