Stephen, annoyed: You're both nuisances.
Tony: Shit, I didn't catch any of that. Loki, did you hear any of that?
Loki: Midgardians' languages are difficult to decipher, I'm still attempting to learn the language 'little bitch.'

Blood Waterfall
Stephen Strange, Loki Laufeyson, Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers, Peter Parker
How they are when your on your period
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stephen Strange
He is a doctor so he has everything you need and knows what's good for you and what isn't, he follows a more homoeopathic medicine he doesn't like giving you pain killers unless very necessary, if he upsets you he'll begrudgingly get you your favorite take out.
He does keep a snack draw next to your bed with your favorite snacks he doesn't deprave you that much he just makes you drink herble tea before bed every night.
For comfort he makes sure that all the blankets are washed and clean that the pillows are fluffed and there's a few extra next to the bed so it's easier for you to grab but he makes sure you spend at least 2 hours a day out and about.
At bed time he sit and read for a few hours while you cuddle into his body for warmth as he rubs your back aimlessly and when it's time for bed he'll spoon you keeping the blankets around the both of you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki Laufeyson
He doesn't really know how to help you other then what his mom has taught him, he'll hesitantly follow your instructions with a lot of snarky comments but if he makes you upset he'll shut up and do everything you ask.
He'll make people get your favorite snacks and food while he goes on with causing trouble on earth but once in a while he'll get you your favorite dessert from one of the restaurants you liked from your guys date.
He makes sure everything is too your liking, he makes sure the servants are extra thorough when making your bed and makes sure you have the finest mattress, pillows and duvets.
He'll hesitate to cuddle you or sleep in the same bed as you, he knows he's cold to the touch and that you need warmth to help with your cramps bit if you force him into the bed you'd have to pull him to cuddle you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bucky Barnes
He'll Google what you'd need, he'll be somewhat anxious around you because he's afraid he'll do something wrong, he'll repeat what you ask of him to you to make sure he heard you right and if he makes you cry he'll buy you the biggest teddy bear he could find.
He'll buy a trolley full of snacks to keep you happy dam he'll eat them with you while you binge your favorite Disney films or he'll take you out to nice restaurants to get you out of the house.
He'll try and make your bed and couch the comfiest thing you've ever layed upon he'll form a kinda of nest for you with blankets and pillows and he'll make sure you have his nice hoodie on.
He likes to cuddle you he'll just get a tad extra clingy when your on your period he doesn't like it when your in pain and he'll do his best to distract you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steve Rogers
He has a lot of things on hand, since he's started dating you he keeps stuff packed, pain killers, pads, tampons etc he just likes being prepared, when you have mood swings he makes you popcorn and watches your favorite movies.
He buys somewhat healthier snacks but still has a few unhealthy ones for when your craving them, he likes cooking for you as well and likes it when you help him like cutting the veggies or just sitting on the counter spending time with him.
He got you an electric blanket to keep you warm when he's not there, he makes sure everything is easier accessible for you and all the blankets in the household are on your draws in the bedroom so you know where to find them if your cold.
He cuddles you every chance he got with its on the couch in bed or even if your standing doing something he'll hug you from behind and cuddle his head into your neck whispering sweet praises into your ear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peter Parker
He gets stuff from his aunt, she gives him advice and explains things that you are to nervous to tell him, he keeps a small pouch of pads, tampons and a thing of pain killers in his bag incase you start at school, with your mood swings he doesn't know what to do so he'll just stand there into you tell him what to do.
He himself has a secret stash in his room he just adds your favorites into it but if he runs out he'll make a quick swing to the convenience store to buy some more and stop at a bakery on the way back with your favorite dessert.
He gives you his hoodies to keep you warm buys a few blankets to keep in his room just for your use and gets you hot water bottle to keep your stomach heated.
He's always cuddling you whether it's while you doing homework or he's playing video games he's always near you and keeps you close to him even more so when your on your period because he knows heat helps and he's like a heater.

Sunna 9 (loki/reader) (stephen strange/reader)
Tumblr media
◂ previous chapter first chapter ▴
4499 words
warnings: the after effects of mind violation; canon-typical violence.
AO3 Masterpost
“You said you could handle Stephen,” I whisper at Wong as we descend into the undercroft. The two of us had fallen behind the god and Sorcerer Supreme, who are too busy pointedly ignoring each other to take notice of us.
“And you believed me?” Wong replies, clutching onto my arm as I wobble down the steps. “When have I ever been able to control him?”
Stephen had insisted on staying while Loki worked went into my mind, though I would have preferred if he had left us, since he had done little but argue with Asgardian, the methods and place and magic, he'd had a problem with all of it. It had been especially bad when Loki had mentioned the terms 'diagnostic' and 'exploratory', suggesting that there may be need for more than one session. I hadn't been able to bring myself to speak. It had gotten heated enough that Wong made the final call and they'd both shut up, glaring at each other. They agree on a method Loki explains something about the layers to the mind, but I'm mostly too nervous and ashamed to say anything.
AO3
The curving stone stairs spiral downwards. The four of us had mostly trudged in silence, minus the whispering between Wong and I. Stephen is still brooding and still unable to look at me. My gut knotted uncomfortably every time the sorcerer came into my line of vision. I couldn't shake this sinking feeling that I had ruined our friendship as I knew it. Between the kiss and this betrayal...
Loki reaches the door to the undercroft first, throwing it open and disappearing. Stephen soon follows, and I pause, allowing Wong to enter before me. I'm just about to pass through the doorway when I hear a voice behind me.
“There you are, I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Turning on my heels, I found Loki a few steps behind me, illuminated by the golden light at the entrance on the stairwell. When I don’t move, he takes a cautious step down closer to me, empty hands outstretched in peace as though he wasn’t a weapon in his own right. “We already started the spell, remember?” His voice is more tender than I'd thought him capable of. “You’ve attached your psyche to the last memory before you went under,” and he gestures behind me to the door.
Following his direction, I glance at the door to the undercroft, and found it closed, though Wong certainly wouldn’t have shut it on me. My eyebrows furrow. Loki’s outfit had changed. He had arrived in Asgardian robes, a green cloak over dark leather and adorned in gold jewellery, but the Loki above me had ditched the finery in favor of jet black trousers and a matching belted overcoat that worked for the autumn winds outside.
Now that Loki had mentioned it I was getting a sense of déjà vu.
I believe him, recalling the rules that Stephen had outlined for me in the moments before I'd gone under: firstly, the only safe way to view a new memory is to go through a door; and secondly, though he had looked troubled at the concept, Stephen had expressly warned me not to leave Loki’s side.
“Let's get this over with.” I step off the bottom stair. “Where do we start?”
“We go through the door,” Loki replies, reaching past me to twist the knob, pushing it open. “After you.”
There was a dead body in the Sanctum’s Weird Hallway.
Despite what you might expect, Memory-Me doesn’t scream. It was just a body - confronting, for sure, but at that point, I'd been at the Sanctum for a couple of months, well, it's called the Weird Hallway for a reason. The hallway isn't there all the time, appearing as a new door off of the kitchen every now and again and to be perfectly truthful, in the desiccated state it was in, I didn't think a dead body posed much of a threat.
Walking half the length of the hall, Memory-Me approaches watchful, but calm. The eyes are open and visibly dry, the skin on his eyelids stretched thin. Completely and utterly dead.
And yet, an eyeball swivels to observe me.
That’s when I'd screamed.
The body pulls itself up.
My knees just give out, and I regain control of them just in time to stop me from completely collapsing, but instead Memory-Me is sent shoulder-first into the nearest wall.
“Hey,” Memory-Stephen must have heard me cry out. “Are you-? Oh. Shit.” As soon as Stephen and the corpse noticed each other, a new energy had been renewed in the rotted body and it leapt to its feet with surprising vigor.
This is the fifth memory we've had to watch and it hasn’t been any more helpful than the others.
“This is useless,” I shove my hands in my pockets.
Loki sighed, rolling his eyes, talking slowly like I'm a toddler. “Your memories are leading us where we need to go.”
“They’ve led us nowhere.”
“It’s a process,” he groans, sauntering up to the door that Stephen and the zombie had disappeared through, wrenching it open. “Do I challenge you in your areas of expertise?”
“Yes! You do. Consistently.” I stomped passed him into the next memory. “I’ve met you twice before and both times you challenged my comprehension like I was an idiot. I have fucking brain, you absolute jackass.”
“I never said you were an idiot! I only imply it.”
“Oh my god, I’m going to kill you-”
“I have to tell you something,” Memory-Wong stands in front of me, blocking access to Stephen’s office.
“Come on Wong, I’m in a rush, I need to get my book back. The museum is gonna kill me if they find out I snuck out a manuscript.”
“He can't be disturbed-”
Memory-Me huffs impatiently. I was sleep-deprived from cataloguing sanctum artefacts. “I don’t care what Stephen's doing in there! I don’t have time for this, I’m going to be late for my shift. Kellye told me not to be late again.”
“Even so, I need to-”
Wong hadn’t anticipated that I would actually push past him.
I'd burst through the door to find Stephen deep in meditation, legs crossed yogi-style, hands in his lap, eyes shut, and hovering three feet above the floor.
His eyes fly open, including the third, which promptly vanishes as Stephen falls on his ass on the floor, letting out a yelp of pain or surprise or both.
“What the actual fuck?"
Loki doesn’t bother to hold back his laugh as we observe the fifteenth memory.
I'd long grown tired of his constant conversation. Recalling the exercises Stephen had given me to practice strengthening my mind when I first started training with him, I decide to make a list of Loki’s qualities to see if I can recall them all later. Right at the top of my list, I imagine the word ‘aggravating' in big looping letters.
“Thought a prince would have been taught better manners than to laugh at other’s misfortune. Distasteful.” My arms fold across my chest. Irritating. Annoying.
“Of course! Forgive me my haughty attitude,” his voice is rich with sarcasm. Loki leans on the memory-table. I'm surprised it's solid. “Because Strange has never held back the opportunity to make a joke out of me. So composed. So gracious, your Sorcerer Supreme.”
I bite my tongue. He's not wrong. “Why do you two hate each other so much?”
“‘Hate’ is a strong word,” Loki’s mouth stretches into a wide smile, as he checks his manicure. “Highly accurate though. And little of your business.” Avoidant.
Behind us, the people in my memory are having an argument about magic and this takes my attention away from Loki. I watch as I pick a fight with my friends. To be fair to my passed self, my anger wasn’t directed at them, it was the result of a series of unfortunate incidents all in a row. At the time I was exhausted, late for work and in fear of the repercussions, and I had just discovered that I wasn’t alone, that others held magic too.
I have a rather explosive approach to emotions.
"Why the hell didn't you tell me- don't you think you should warn potential housemates that your a fucking witch?"
"Sorcerers," Stephen and Wong correct in unison.
"Both of you?!"
"Secrets, secrets," Loki muses.
“I moved in a week before that,” I say, more to myself than anything.
Loki perks up at the comment, his shoulders squaring, “how long had you known them?”
I shrug, “by now, almost a year, I think.”
“But how long before you moved in with them?”
“Two or three months, why?”
Loki is silent. I can't tell what he's thinking.
"What?" I ask.
Memory-Stephen performs a series of gestures, a crack in reality forming, the entrance to the Mirror Dimension. The three of us stepped through, vanishing.
Am I I just realizing now that I never called in sick to the museum that day? I can't believe Kellye didn't hand my ass to me on a platter.
Loki approached the crack to the Mirror Dimension, indicating for me to follow, but I hesitate. “Stephen said only to go through doors.”
“He also said to follow me,” Loki replies, disappearing through the crack, leaving me little choice but to follow.
Rather than entering the mirror dimension, we step straight into another new fresh memory.
Memory-Me writhed in bed, gasping for air. It was the night after Stephen had found me, after Loki had turned my brain into ham and pea soup.
“Hurry up, my dear,” says the voice from my dreams, echoing around the room. “You would not do well to have to join me in my clouded cage.”
My memory flings the sheet off of herself, launching out of bed with barely enough sense to put on some pajama shorts before rushing off to Stephen's room.
I freeze in place, blushing at my memory's lack of clothing. To his credit, Loki turns his gaze away from the sight, just a gentlemanly dip of his head.
The door shuts behind my fleeing figure.
With a wave of his hand, Loki causes the scene to start again.
“What are you doing?” He had not done this to any of the other memories.
The memory is paused in the beginning, capturing my face in a panicked expression.
“There is a magical presence in your dream,” Loki says. A wave of green washed outwards from him, illuminating the previously invisible purple energy. It is centered around Memory-Me, but the steady flow is crawling in from the open window.
“It looks like…” I hesitate. I'm scared to be wrong, but it looked like-
“Your magical signature.” Loki frowns. He looks bothered. “Any idea about why it’s coming to you from an external source?”
“I barely know my own name at this point, why would you think I'd have an answer to that." If the floor could swallow me up, I would have begged it to. I know nothing. About my magic, about magical in general, nothing more than the bits and pieces I had picked up from Stephen and Wong. How embarrassing it is to realize you are simple in the presence of a god. “You’ve been in my head, you probably know me better than I do. I don’t know anything about this stuff.”
There is a prolonged silence, in which Loki watches me and I make eye contact with anything but him.
“Well," he begins, "the following is a generalization, but magical signatures are like radio frequencies. My seidr comes from Asgard, and every one who channels seidr is on the same frequency, so to speak. Wong and Strange’s magic is derived from the energy of the multiverse, which is channeled through their gods. That's essentially its own frequency, as well. Your magic would have had its own unique signature.”
'Would have had'. Past-tense.
"We will learn more once we have located your power well."
"You don't think it's entirely lost?"
"No. I don't. My consciousness remains with this form," Loki gestures to himself, "but I can sense the presence of magic here."
Something released in my gut.
"Any idea where your powers come from?"
"I, uh, never knew, where, or… who was using the same frequency... I get the impression I searched out answers. I think it's what I was hoping to find out through academia, but I never found anything." I cringe at the statement. I wanted to be more definitive, tell Loki exactly how I had searched, but I couldn't offer anything other than vague inclinations. It's prior to my living memory. "Stephen searched everywhere, but nothing, ah, either."
I'm genuinely surprised that Loki doesn't use that as an opportunity to rag on Stephen, or boast of superior tracking skills.
"Can’t we just follow the magical signature back to its source? Like follow it out the window? Then we’d know who was talking to me in my dream.”
“In real life maybe, but in here, I’m afraid it’s not that simple - this is a vision of the past, a ghost of an event that has already happened and been imprinted as memory. We only have access to the parts that directly involved you, and from this slice of your life, I can't tell if you were drawing the magic to you while you slept, or if it was seeking you out. I wouldn't know where to begin."
I nod, it sounded like a stupid suggestion when I said it.
"Actually... I may have an idea." He straightens his lapels. "I cannot track your magic to the source from inside your mind, but if we treat it like an artifact that exists across memories... I might be able to connect each healthy memory of your magic to another. A thread that may lead us to your well of power." He doesn't wait for permission, Loki beginning to hum to himself.
It's a simple and rather beautiful as a form of magic and at times I swear I can hear two or even three notes as once. He is bathed in what I can only call black light.
"Are you ready?" Loki asks, his voice reverberating slightly. The light does not dissipate, instead it hovers around him, his eyes wholly black.
"I guess."
He looks otherworldly. This magic is different from his seidr. "Do you know what would happen if we tried to follow this flow of magic out the window?"
I shake my head.
"See, it's- oh- I'm not sure if you can see it from there- come here. That's it. Now, look over there, can you see-?"
Loki pushes me through the window. It doesn't break, warping against me until I phase all the way through with a pop.
I land on my ass with a yelp, but am lucky that I only fall two or three feet. The window was a door.
"Asshole," I mutter.
This scene is very similar to the last
Again, Memory-Me was in bed, but this time the dream didn’t seem to be quite as disturbing.
“Come now,” it's the same voice as in the previous dream, warm and slightly-accented. “You remember this, just practice.”
From the moment we entered this memory, Loki had drawn the magical signatures in the room to visibility. The purple that was coming in the window previously is still there, but it swirls with my own magical energy
Without warning, my memory's body flickers and disappears, Memory-Me's magical signature disappeared with me.
“Ages of Thunder,” Loki reeled back, surprised, looking back and forth between the memory and my real self. “That is a pretty unique incantation, sunna.”
I ignored the remark, my face scrunching up. “I don’t remember that dream. I learned an invisibility spell from a dream, but when I woke up, I couldn’t remember anything but the motions to perform the magic.”
“I am not sure I conveyed my surprise enough, I have never seen an invisibility spell that works like that,” for emphasis Loki restarts the scene, creating a repeating loop of my flickering form. “You see? You aren’t simply vanishing, you are disrupting your mass in some way.”
When my body vanishes, the comforter, which is draped over Memory-Me, drops entirely, like I had vanished completely. When my memory's body reappears, she is on top of the linen.
“So, it’s more than just turning invisible?” I wonder aloud, placing my hand on the arm of Memory-Me, and sure enough, when her body disappeared, my hand slipped onto the mattress like she had never been there. There wasn’t even an indent in the bed where my bodyweight should be.
Another memory begins to tugs at the edges of my brain, the thread Loki was working calling us, and in unison, Loki and I approach the door leading from my bedroom to the hallway.
We step into the Sanctum gym.
“That was good. The spell I mean. I didn’t realize the extent of it.”
Stephen looks nervous. I hadn't noticed when I lived this memory.
“What do you mean?”
“You were gone-”
“Uh-huh, that is what is usually meant when people say ‘invisibility spell’.”
“Ha-ha ,” Stephen rolls his eyes and begins packing up his sparring equipment, “but I, in all my infinite power, couldn't even feel you. Your presence. Your magic. Anything. It was like you popped out of existence.”
“When you perform this spell, what does it look like from your perspective?” Loki asked, turning to face me.
The memory restarts. Memory-Me vanishes again.
“I don’t know, like how does it feel, you mean?” I shrug. “It’s like looking at the world through a water bottle. I could still feel my body, like it wasn’t like I turned into gas or anything,” I nodded my head to the vision as Memory-Me shoves Memory-Stephen. “I could still interact with the world, but it took effort. I remember-” finding the words to describe the experience was a challenge, “I remember trying to talk with Stephen when I was invisible, but he couldn’t hear me? And his voice sounded so far away.”
Loki’s hand absentmindedly came up to rub his jawline. When he wasn’t parading around like a prized peacock, he was almost tolerable. Add that to the list - ‘almost tolerable.’ 'Relatively knowledgeable' when he'll share.
We walked without talking through several other memories, following the artifact thread along.
It's like glimpsing the most boring parts of your life. Memory-me eats, sleeps, reads, practiced magic and catalogued. Rinse and repeat.
The most confronting part is that, just as I feared, I don’t have any other friends, even anyone else I was close with. It seemed that as soon as I had met Stephen, as soon I found the Sanctum, either I just dropped any friends I had or I just plain didn't have any. No one checks on me, not friends, not coworkers. I move in with the sorcerers without saying goodbye to old neighbors... It's like I was a specter in my own life.
“I must have been so lonely,” I don't really mean for it to be said out loud, “but why don’t I remember feeling lonely, even in the beginning of my memories, when I had just met Stephen. I was living in New York for god-knows-how-long, and I had no one? So why didn’t I feel lonely? Or at least relieved that I finally made friends?”
Loki looks at me with a lifted brow. “Your whole life does seem to be rather Strange-oriented.”
I don’t know what to say to that. He's right.
“Are you in love with him?” There it was, that tenderness again. I am automatically distrusting of it.
“Why would you ask that?”
Loki smirks. “I’ve been in your mind, sweetness. I’ve felt what you’ve felt. You are drawn to him almost against rational thought.”
“You’re being ridiculous.”
“Am I, Sunna?”
“Again with that stupid nickname. That’s not my name.”
“It means ‘sunshine’, I’ve given it to you in honor of your sunny disposition.”
"Don't."
"So, do you love him?"
My frustration at my situation solidifies, cast into a new form. My hands curl into fists at my side.
The black light surrounding Loki flickers out, and he looks down in bewilderment.
I'm not supposed to leave Loki, but in order to avoid hitting him and causing him to potentially leave me stranded in my own mind, I turn on my feet, walking back to the museum’s entrance and away from him.
My feet echo on the marble floors as I round the ticket booth and pushed the glass door, stepping through-
And halting immediately. No, no, no, no, no.
The night was dark, lit only by the pinpricks of hundreds of stars as the lazy wave of color begins to trace across the sky.
“Well, isn’t this romantic,” Loki mocks.
“I don’t want to be here,” I snap, turning to step back through the portal, through which I can see my bedroom.
But Loki slipped in between, stopping me from leaving. “You manifested it.”
“Let me leave.”
“Why, does something…?” Loki trailed off, his eyes locked on the scene behind me.
I'm frozen, only in the memory I can't feel the cold.
“Ah,” his gaze turned back to me, green eyes dancing with amusement. “Too embarrassed to watch your rejection, I see. I have to admit, you are braver than I thought, to kiss him and handle his rebuttal. Such a lack of explanation would have driven me mad.”
“Fuck off,” I said, attempting to shove him out of the way, but even with my entire bodyweight behind the action, he doesn't move at all.
“Well, this development has completely eviscerated my theory.” Instead of renouncing the scene, Loki strolls right up to the edge, pulling himself onto the rock Stephen and I had shared, and started the scene again with front row seats.
“Hey, cut that out!” but my outrage fell on deaf ears.
“See, I think that the circumstances in which you came under Strange’s care are suspicious enough, obviously, because of the whole diversion-mind-invasion situation, but now that I know he doesn’t feel for you the way you feel for him... Frankly I’m struggling to identify his motivations.”
The kiss. The rejection.
“What are you talking about?”
“The most straight forward answer is that Strange accepted you into his life, his home, because he is in love with you. That he could fall entirely in love with someone in two months goes against his suspicious nature, but that is the only reasoning I could come up with. The desire to help you, to protect you, to be around you constantly,” Loki's tone is torturous, he's trying to get under my skin. “But clearly, the man does not love you. I am at a loss.” Another list word - cruel.
He's just trying to get under my skin.
‘Can’t wait to see what kind of pedestal Strange stores you on.’ That’s what Loki had said the first day I'd met him, like he was already convinced Stephen loved me, even then. My gut twists.
I had thought we were close, but do I even really know Stephen? Clearly, I am not very good at reading him, because I thought we were having a moment under these stars, but why had I thought that? Historically Stephen kept me at arm’s length, he hadn’t exactly been forthcoming with himself. Was I delusional?
“You moved in with the man a few months after meeting him? Just joining him on missions and slotting into his life perfectly? Just like that?” Loki snapped his fingers in emphasis.
“I- I don’t know what that has to do with-”
“What about the rest of your life? What about everything else?”
“I still go to work, and- and I have hobbies! Like- like-” I scrambled, trying to name a single thing that I had done since meeting Stephen that would pass the Bechdel test. “It doesn’t matter! I don't have to explain anything to you.”
“Don’t you think that’s just awfully convenient? That Strange finds you one day, a poor lost magical kitten, and just absorbs you into his life without having to make any significant changes? But everything that was you beforehand is mysteriously lost?”
“He’s not a villain, Loki!”
“Of course not,” Loki smirked. “He’s just a man, who has managed to separate you from everyone you know and love, isolating you from your life before him, and now, with your memories lost, has managed to create a permanent form control over you.”
I look away for one second, but when I turn back, Loki is gone, and standing in his place is Stephen. “Is this what you want?”
“Stop it.” I could barely form the words.
“I love you, Sunna, I want the world for you, Sunna. You are my one true love, the star in the night that guides me,” Loki-Stephen crooned.
“I said stop,” I shoved the prince with everything I could muster, and to my surprise he actually staggers back a few steps.
His true form flickers for a second before he appears in front of me, a perfect copy of Stephen down to his scarred hands on my face. “Do you trust me?”
A thumb brushed my bottom lip. Stephen’s eyes held the same pain that I remembered and I gaped like a fish out of water, because this was too close to the real thing. Stephen is too close.
His face is leaning in, and I can’t help but move away like two magnets of the same polarity, his breath fanning across my nose until the last second when his brings his mouth to my ear, his breath warm. “Why do you trust me?”
My eyes are shut tight. I felt Stephen stepping around me, circling me, but not once putting an inch more space between our bodies. It's easy to believe that it's Stephen. He even smells like Stephen, lemons and earl grey.
“I don’t know.”
“Do you regret meeting me?” Stephen asks.
“Is this all a game to you?” I back away from him, desperate to be away from Loki’s appropriated warmth.
“Everything is a game to me. Do you ask a fish not to swim?” Loki's voice comes out of Stephen's mouth.
“What do you even want with me? Do you just want to torture me? I get it, Stephen doesn’t have feelings for me, I already knew that, I didn’t need you to tell me, I know. It was humiliating.”
Loki finally gives me an inch of personal space, a satisfied expression across his features.
Insecurity and embarrassment turned to rage and I slap him hard across the face, so hard that I'd slapped the Stephen off of him.
Loki reels. It looks as though it actually hurt.
For a moment everything pauses and I then I am flooded with pure terror. The ground cracks around him with the force of his seidr.
A step forward and I take a matching step back. Green crackles in the air between us. Another step forward.

Bucky Barnes:
this man would be happy
because he fell for you first
you both had gotten close together when he joined the Avengers
had to find you after you scurried off after you told him
because he just stood there in shock when you told him from a fight
and you thought he didn't like you back
took you out on a date after you confessed to him
Loki:
would be slightly confused
because he didn't think an angel like you would like him
but when you accidently confessed in front of him
he kissed you which left you frozen in shock
"I didn't think you would like me back."
"Wait. You like me too?"
"Of course I do."
Steven Grant/Marc Spector:
didn't want to believe you at first
mainly because he didn't want to hurt you
but when you found out that he found out, you wanted to die
but Steven convinced Marc to give you a chance
"I don't want to hurt you."
"I can handle the pain."
"Not me."
Peter Parker:
he didn't mean to eavesdrop between you and MJ
but he and Ned did
started to act awkward around you because of your accidental confession
till you confronted him about it
"I overheard you and MJ talking about you liking me and I didn't mean to hear it."
"Oh."
"I like you too. That's why I've been avoiding you."
"Do you want to go on a date, Peter? On Friday?"
"Yeah. I'd like that."
Stephen Strange:
thought it was a joke
until he saw the expression in your eyes
didn't know what to say at first
"I understand if you don't like me in that way. I'll just go."
"No don't. I just don't know what to say."
"If you don't like me, just say so. I rather get it over with now."
asks to take things slow at first

Marvel Preferences - With A Gamer GF
Bucky - Bucky is a bit of a classic gamer. He can handle an arcade game like no one you’ve ever seen. When you introduce him to the world of at home gaming he is very intrigued. The first few times you show him he simply sits back and watches happily. He enjoys seeing you in your element. Later he asks if he can try. You gladly give up the controller, watching him pick up the game like a fish to water. He’s so good at it. However, he still prefers the classics. So after that he’d rather just sit and watch and go to the arcade from time to time.
Loki - At first Loki finds your games quite silly. When he sees you playing and you explain to him what you’re doing he would turn his nose up a bit. “Games are for children.” He comments absentmindedly before leaving the room. However he couldn’t help but watch one night and what he saw really impressed him. You moved through the levels with such ease and comfortability that he couldn’t help but stay to watch. After that night, he was hooked. He never wants to play with you but he’s become quite fond of watching. He even praises you often when you beat a level or achieve a task.
Tony - Tony is a bit of a gamer himself. Not nearly as in depth as you but he knows his way around a controller. He used to love first person shooters. He was actually quite good at them too. However, after what happened in New York he’s been a bit skittish around the more violent games. It feels too immersive sometimes. That’s when you introduce him to some cozier games. He finds that he enjoys gaming much more when there’s not so much pressure. He really likes Minecraft. He could sit there and build with you for hours. The two of you now have a standing Minecraft date every Friday night.
Steve - Steve is super confused by your games at first. When he sees the high definition graphics and the complex set of tasks he’s kind of blown away, commenting how impressive it is that you can keep track of everything. Wanting to immerse him in your favorite pastime you try to warm him up to playing with you. The first time he actually gets a bit frustrated when he can’t figure it out. However, pretty soon he picks it up and plays with you from time to time. Now you switch off between watching and playing, finding it a delightful way to spend time together. Although he doesn’t admit it, he’d much rather just watch you play rather than picking up a controller for himself.
Frank - Frank is actually a big gamer himself. He loves to relax on the couch at the end of a tough week and mindlessly play a violent video game. It wasn’t until he met you that he discovered other types of games. He’s warmed up to other genres although his favorite is still the classic first person shooters. The two of you always find time to curl up together and play a game. He’s very lovey when you’re playing together. He’ll usually have you situated between his legs, wrapping his arms around your waist as he maneuvers the controller. It’s his favorite when you play shooter games with him. There’s something about seeing you so expertly handle a gun in game that just does something to him. He loves gaming even more after meeting you. Something about that time together is very special to him.
Stephen - Stephen does not game. He finds the whole notion kind of below him. He would never deny you something that made you happy though. So he does try. There have been a handful of occasions where he’s sat and watched you play although in all instances he ended up falling asleep on the couch. There have also been a handful of times when you’ve both played together. He indulges you just because he loves you so much but it’s not something that happens very often. When it does he usually quits within an hour, finding some excuse to be done early. He’d much rather just leave you to yourself when you’re gaming, letting you do what makes you happy without any kind of interruption.
Vision - Vision is naturally a whiz at games. It’s not his favorite hobby but there are definitely times when he is in the mood to game with you. He likes puzzle games the best. Anything that engages the mind. He loves watching you work out the complex rules and steps in order to win. Your intelligence is incredibly attractive to him so seeing your beautiful sexy brain in action is absolutely peak for him. Although for him, a good majority of the games you play are somewhat boring to him since he finds them so simple. His favorite moments are when he is cooking dinner and can watch you playing your game from the kitchen as he works. It’s the perfect amount of stimulation and entertainment for him. He’d much rather do that.
Druig - Druig does like to game with you. He gets very competitive when he does though. Part of you loves it and part of you hates it. It doesn’t matter what the game is, he can always find a way to make a competition out of it. If you’re playing a first person shooter, he’ll bet you he can kill more bad guys than you. If it’s a puzzle game, he guarantees he can solve the puzzle faster than you. If it’s a farming game, he’s sure that he’ll grow more crops than you do. It’s all in a joking spirit though. He never actually means to compete with you. He just finds your huffy little reactions quite entertaining. It’s especially fun when you get into the spirit of it with him, trying to beat him at whatever challenge he’s given you at that moment.
Dane - Dane is really bad at games but he’s got the spirit. It’s always so delightful when you watch him playing a game. It’s never frustrating or hindering. You just patiently guide him through the tasks, watching intently as he completes them one at a time. You find that farming games are really good to play with him. He’s better at those than any other kind of game. You just give him one task at a time. As he completes a task he’ll happily ask what he can do next. It’s kind of funny sometimes but you would never tell Dane how bad he is. You just keep letting him think he’s a game whiz and enjoying his company as the two of you play together. It’s also nice when he scoots close by your side and links arms with you as you play.

Thoroughly fucked, your legs were numb, hair tousled on the bed, and your hazy eyes peered half-lidded down at the man that continued on with his assault on your over-stimulated pussy. He wasn't stopping and no matter how much you said no, he continued on with his assault bringing you further and further into the brink of bliss. With what little strength your hand still had, your held onto the white streaked hair of his, trying your best to pull him away to give you a chance to breath.
"Had enough?" The cocky smirk on his lips bubbled through your stomach and dampen you further. Damn him and that handsome smile of his. "Wong's in Kamar Taj, the Avengers are all on a mission in God knows where, so no interruption and you can scream all you want."
You nodded profusely but still couldn't scream as his bearded lips fall right back into eating you with a painful rhythm.
You never really knew when it happened between you and Stephen, but you didn't want it any other way at this point. How you were both sparing one day in Kamar Taj in front of numerous members of the Masters of Mystic Arts, your fight got so intense that magic wasn't the only thing was being thrown out. Punches, kicks, even headbutts and as you straddled his chest--your teacher-apprentice relationship wasn't the same. It was best for the both of you to keep whatever was going on between the two of you away from Wong's ever wandering and questioning eyes.
"What would that boyfriend of yours think? How much of a mess I can make you without him even participating?" His words, as cocky and arrogant he was, knew what to say, the filth that only his words could ever give. You were a mess, all because of the man that you would have never thought would bring you to the peak of insanity besides your boyfriend.
Before you could even give a proper response. You felt your release wash over you like a tidal wave. Painting his beard with your wetness, you had watching him suck you dry until he was satisfied.
Letting go of his hair, as you relaxed your body against the silk sheets of his bed, you allowed the aftermath of your orgasm to wash over you. Appreciating the momentary peace that Stephen has given you to regain your consciousness and strength for what was to come.
You felt the bed dip and turning your head, the sight of a now naked Stephen laid besides you. You smirked knowing what was to come. Turning you closed your eyes, as the spongy head of his cock slipped so easily inside of your ass. You could only smile at the preparation he had done for the past few hours for this moment. Even your boyfriend had been dead set in making sure you were prepared and not to hurt yourself. With how easily Stephen has slid inside of you, all the hard work of your boyfriend and master had paid off.
"I thought we agreed to share her tonight?" The familiar baritone of your boyfriend's voice had your opening your eyes and frozen in place, Stephen remained deep inside of you.
Loki was at the door where you were facing, in his signature black suit, he was delectable. Your mouth watered and you wanted nothing more than to have him inside you as well.
"Can't help myself when it comes to her." Stephen's response was quick and the sudden slam of his hips accentuated his point breaking you into yet another whimper.
"What am I ever gonna do with you, Goddess?" Loki tutted and with a flick of his wrist, his suit was no more and you were face to face with a naked God, whose dick stood tall, pre-cum glistening his tip. "Where you do you want me?" He inquired.
"Inside me." You spoke with the last ounce of confidence you still had in your system.
"Well open wide for me then, Goddess."
Without even moving an inch, Stephen had held onto your thigh widening you up just for Loki. Loki had laid in front of you, one hand cupping your cheek looking straight through you and the other had guided his cock right into you. How easy he had slid and how full you now felt with the both of them deep inside you.
"Look what a mess you've made out of her, Strange." Loki spoke moving your head to meet Stephen's own. "Look how our Goddess is so full of us, filled in both of her holes like she is always meant to be."
Neither of you three had noticed the sound of a portal opening and the sight of a distracted Wong until it was far too late. The only thing Stephen could do was covered the three of you with his magic cape.
"I told you that it was essential for Y/N to continue her training in--" Wong halted finally upon realizing the sight of all three of you in bed, frozen in place, caught in the act about something neither of you three wanted anyone to know for now. "I don't even want to know." Wong groaned, before motioning for another portal to open for him to leave.
You couldn't help it, the awkwardness of being caught ruined the moment and you burst out laughing and resting your forehead against your boyfriend's shoulders and arms wrapped around his neck.
"This is the reason why I prefer the privacy of the compound." Loki snipped attention focused on Stephen.
"Right, like the AI and Stark wouldn't be watching us if we're not careful."
"I could have placed a cloak spell on us."
"And it hasn't occurred to you to use one here in the Sanctum?"
You sighed, knowing it would take a while for them to finish with their argument. It was better to just let them ride it out. You could use a vacation from your boyfriends but at this point, this was what you signed up for. Double the pleasure, but double the trouble.

Just imagine if these two had a ‘40s detective agency show. … NOW imagine it’s Dr. Strange & Loki, stuck in the ‘40s due to multiverse/TVA shenanigans, opening a detective agency because they both have magic and can solve crimes quicker than anyone. I’m doing your job for you, Disney+, make this happen!

warnings: the after effects of mind violation; vomit (not ED related); canon-typical violence.
AO3 Master Fic List
When I awake, it's deep into the night. The air was hot and muggy, and in my uneasy sleep I had almost garroted myself, my sheets coming untucked and twisted tightly around my middle. In a weak attempt to detangle myself, I roll too close to the edge of the bed, flopping onto the hard, wooden floor, my hands and knees screaming.
Why is everything such a mess? I think, pressing my face into the linen to muffle my groan.
The house is silent, overly so. Following Gorron’s advice, Wong had departed on some mission to find a mind magician good enough to help me and in the few days since that night I hadn’t seen Stephen at all. The risk of running into him had made me too anxious to leave my bedroom, so like the mature adult I am I resort to sneaking into the the kitchen for food. My headaches have gotten much worse, but I can’t face Stephen to get help. Stephen hasn't sought me out either. I guess he's trying to give me space.
AO3
Mercifully, despite the discomfort of the floor, it's still much cooler than the air.
“I’m such an idiot,” I mutter. Every time I think about it, an acute embarrassment hits me like a train. Why had I kissed him? Stephen was a friend trying to help me through what may be the worst time of my life, and I had been foolish enough think we were having a moment.
In my exhausted state, it's easy to just fall asleep on the floor.
What must have been a few hours later I am drawn from my slumber, nauseous and sweating. I'm up quicker than I can move my limbs, tripping over the sheets and producing a loud thump as I fall on my face, gagging and dizzy, but I free myself, bursting through the door to my ensuite, and vomit into the toilet. All I had been eating recently was cereal, and said cereal is being hurled up into the bowl. I'm shaking and shivering, arms resting on each side of the seat for support. The burn radiates through my aching chest, which seizes with every violent retch.
A hand pats me on the back, but I am too busy hurling my guts up to acknowledge it. It's joined by another hand which gathers my hair back, securing it in place. After a few moments of dry heaving and coughing, I spit out the last of the vomit and turn to find Wong at my side. He pushes a glass of water into my hand, and I gargled it.
“Brush your teeth,” Wong instructed, “do you think you could shower too?”
I nodded and he stood up, turning the shower on with magic and handing me my toothbrush, prepared with paste. Wong departed the bathroom and shut the door behind him.
The tile was cool beneath me and by the time I had stepped into the shower the water is too hot. When I finish, I pull the shower curtain back to find a clean towel and set of pajamas in the steamy room.
Stepping into my room to find the mess tidied, my bed made and the window open. If I had possessed more energy, I might have gawked at the sight.
Wong appears, coming through the door. “Sit.”
I do so, slumping into the armchair by the window to take advantage of the influx of cool air. Wong places a tray of porridge, fruit and a large glass of orange juice on the side table and my stomach audibly groans at the sight. The silver tray glints in the dull light.
“Eat.”
Wong waited in silence until I make it through the meal, before disappearing with the dishes and returning with a large drink bottle of chilled water.
“What have you been eating since I’ve been gone?” he asks, dropping into the other armchair with a sound that suggested he desperately needed to sit down.
“Mostly cereal,” I replied.
Wong sighs incredulously, “that’s all Stephen’s been feeding you?”
“Not strictly speaking.”
“What do you mean?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
There are many ways that you can describe Wong. His body was made up of curves and soft lines, and yet every part of him radiates sharpness, not in an unfeeling way, but in the practical, no-nonsense way a scalpel does. The man across from me contains magnitudes, infinitely powerful, and yet gentle enough to handle Latpian moths. “I have been out chasing leads for days. I’m exhausted. I’m grumpy. Tell me what you mean right now.”
“I kissed Stephen.”
Wong blanched, “oh. Congratulations.”
“Are not necessary,” I press my face into my palms. “I thought we were- well I don’t know what I thought, but I must have misread the situation because he made it very clear that I had overstepped a boundary. He hasn’t spoken to me in days.”
Wong’s eyebrows knitted together, but not in sympathy as I had expected. Rather he looked annoyed.
“Sorry, that’s probably T.M.I.-”
“No, that’s not- so you’ve just been in your room this whole time I’ve been gone?”
I nod.
“And he hasn’t checked on you?”
I shake my head.
“At all?”
I repeated the action. I am getting the impression I have gotten Stephen into a lot of trouble.
“You’re incredibly ill and he’s too embarrassed to check on you?”
“I mean, it’s my fault too, I haven’t exactly sought him out.”
“That shouldn’t matter, you’re his responsibility to- he needs to grow up,” a groan, and a shaken head. “Can’t leave the house for one second without it all turning to chaos.”
“Where did you go?” I ask, desperate for a change in subject.
Wong took a deep breath, “searching for anyone that might be able to look through your brain and figure out who put the enchantment on you in the first place. I spoke to a great many mystics.”
“Did you find anyone?”
“Perhaps. It depends on your opinion.”
“I’m not sure I'm qualified.”
Leaning forward in his seat, elbows resting on his thighs, Wong begins, “Stephen and I have been searching for someone that might be able to help you, but we've had a… disagreement about how to proceed. Stephen has been making his own communications from the Sanctum to various magical beings, but truth be told, he has been unsuccessful. Wanda has vanished, Master Xiong is busy and Onye is off-realm,” he rubs his temples. “I took it upon myself to try a different path. I’ve visited Asgard, drawing up an agreement.”
I opened my mouth to say something, but Wong raises his hand.
“What Loki did to you was- what I mean is that this is not something I am being flippant over. Stephen doesn’t know that I went to talk with Loki about this. In fact, he expressly forbade me from doing so. It is something we have clashed over.”
That’s why they were fighting.
“I disobeyed a command from the Supreme,” Wong sighs. “As far as the ethical ramifications of my actions... I will only bring Loki here if you give me permission, but before you make a decision, allow me to plead my case.” He pauses, waiting for my invitation, and I give it to him. “Loki, despite his faults, is one of the most powerful mind mystics in the realm. We might be able to find someone else that could do the work in your psyche, but we don’t know if they will be successful. I am concerned that waiting to act might have long-term consequences on your mind.”
“Well, that’s valid, I guess. I'm not mad that you talked to him or anything. I’m terrified about how this might affect me, and..” I trail off, searching for the right words to describe how I feel, an impossible task. “Ever since my rendezvous with Gorron, my perspective on the incident has shifted a little.”
“I didn’t know that Stephen had managed to secure a meeting with Gorron at such short-notice.”
How that little worm, pardon, grub, had such prestige amongst sorcerers, I will never know. “Yeah, I assumed that’s why you went to Asgard?”
“No, I must have departed before. What did Gorron have to say?”
It takes a few moments to get Wong caught up, but by the end of it, he looks thoughtful. “When I visited Asgard, I met with King Thor and told him your story. He was very sympathetic. A big focus of the new king has been maintaining good relations with Earth, so he called Loki to the throne room to defend himself.”
I listen intently.
"Loki insists that the damage was not his fault. He posits that he hasn't seen this happen in a thousand years of mind magic. He could have been lying, but with Gorron's confirmation... If you had not have this mystery enchantment place upon you, it's unlikely that Loki's involvement would have harmed you."
There is a potent mix of emotions swirling inside of me. On the one hand the idea of seeing Loki again, and allowing him such intimate reign over my head is nerve-wracking, but on the other hand, Wong has a point. For a second I swear I can feel Loki's cold hand on my arm.
"We can do it here, at the Sanctum?"
Wong nods.
"And Stephen?"
"You just focus on getting well."
"He's going to hate me if I agree to bring Loki back here."
"He does not hate you at all."
"I'm not happy about it, but I want Loki’s help.”
"There's more. Rather ambitiously, Thor is hoping to make Loki his ambassador to Earth. Something about a new era of public relations for Asgard."
"Well, if Loki is going to continue to act the way he does, they are going to have a hell of a time repairing his image."
"Quite," Wong agrees, "even though Loki wasn't at fault for your injuries, Thor was very angry for his involvement. He ordered Loki to help, and they argued as only brothers can, but Thor is his king, and his word is law bound in Odinmagic. There was some concession though. Loki was allowed to ask for something in return, something to make up for the inconvenience. An embassy, here on Earth."
There is a long pause before I get it. "Wait, here? The Sanctum?"
Wong cringes, "it was the only way to get him to agree. If he helps, Loki will have a right to this house for one year."
"Well, that sucks."
Wong stayed longer than expected, but the company was much appreciated. The sun was tugging at the edges of the sky by the time he departs. In the time I had known him, I had befriended a very unique version of Wong. I was essentially nothing to him, just a stranger from the street that had found their home at the Sanctum, much like a stray animal, and therefore there was little need to maintain his reputation. He is solemn, yes, but he is also friendly and incredibly fed up - all he wants is a little peace and quiet.
I pull myself together. This is my house too. Even if I had humiliated myself in front of Stephen, I can sit in the library. I probably won't even see him.
The artifacts drew me to the Sanctum, but it was the library that kept me hostage. Thousands upon thousands of books, crammed into the space, shelves teetering so dangerously they could only have been held up by magic. Unstable stacks taller than I am all over the floor. The arm chairs are comfortable, but in order to be a touch more conspicuous, I choose to sit at the bay window. It has a rich brown leather seat but with a pattern on its skin like peacock tail feathers; the hide of an animal I couldn’t identify. My favorite place to read. I selected the most interesting looking book from the pile stacked nearest, and settled in to read. The title is in cuneiform, but the gilded remnants of an old translation spell still lingered on the page.
Before long, I hear the soft padding of bare feet, and a freshly woken sorcerer appears, cutting through the library for quicker access to the kitchen. In his groggy state, Stephen didn’t notice me. The adrenaline rush subsides after a few minutes.
An hour passes, and I am stuck trying to decipher one line. If one cannot decide between the fruits of his labors and the cut of meat on the slab, the meat shall rot and become unclean. Since the beginning of living memory, the fruit has always been rancid. What the hell is that supposed to mean? Normally, Stephen helped with the indecipherable stuff. Even just talking it over helped. I debated whether the translation spell had become too worn to work correctly, the page didn’t seem to flow as it should.
Another set of footsteps echo through the library, and Stephen, who again hadn’t seemed to notice me, wanders in. He hovers at the bottom of one of the shelves, before the radiant glow of his magic floated him upwards out of sight. When he returned he held a book in his hands.
His feet made purchase with the ground and I watch him visibly tense as he notices me.
“How long have you been there?”
“All morning.” There it was again, that wave of embarrassment. I can’t believe I was so stupid to think that he might be interested in me. I turn my face back to the book to hide the blooming warmth there.
“Oh.”
There is a long awkward pause as he stands, watching as I clearly don’t continue reading. I try to focus my brain on the words, but I'm tired and my head throbs.
“How have you been feel-” but Stephen cut himself off when another presence joined us.
Wong and Stephen nod, but neither say anything.
The embarrassment in my gut turns to guilt. They weren’t talking because of me, because they’d had a fight about me.
Again no one spoke, and again no one was fooled by my reading act.
After what felt like an age, Stephen said, “well… back to work,” and walked out of the room rather stiffly.
Wong waits for the Sorcerer Supreme to be out of earshot before speaking. “Loki will be here soon. I need to know now if you’ve changed your mind.”
I shiver. “I haven’t, but what are you going to do about-”
“I will handle Stephen.”
The yelling tips off Loki's arrival.
Peeling out of the library and into the front room, I rush towards the sound, my stomach twisted in knots. I stop dead outside the door, which had been left carelessly flung open.
A glowing light is wrapped tight around Stephen’s fist and he swing at Loki, who doesn’t so much as flinch. Wong is between the pair in a second.
“What the fuck is he doing here, Wong?”
“I told you-” Wong began but was cut off.
“And I told you-”
No one seemed to notice my presence.
“So passionate, Strange,” Loki drawls, head cocked to the side, hands strung nonchalantly in his pockets.
Stephen lurches forward, but Wong holds him back with a palm on his chest.
“Careful,” said the prince, “don’t want to give the impression that you have other options. Might make me feel like I’m not needed here.” Despite the air of magic around him, Loki just didn’t seem to fit inside the Sanctum Sanctorum - his magic a different origin, of a different realm. Even with Stephen's threats, he's at ease.
“You aren’t needed here.”
“She’s only getting worse, Stephen," Wong interjects.
“He did this to her!”
"I did no such thing," Loki snaps, like the suggestion that he had caused this damage genuinely offended him. "Say it again and I will pull your tongue from your throat."
Wong ignores Loki. “He didn’t do this, Strange, and you know it. Gorron confirmed it.”
“He still forced himself into her mind-!”
"Yes, yes, he did," Wong appeals, "but she agreed to this. She wants to try."
“Shall I come back later?” Loki says with rolling eyes. “Wait until she’s on the verge of death? Until you have to come crawling on your hands and knees begging for my help to unscramble her mind? Leave it until then, and I'll say no, deal or no deal.”
For a second it was like everyone was frozen, and then a portal opens at Wong’s feet and he falls through before he can stop himself. A burst of orange the size of an anvil flies at Loki, who just managed\s to swipe it away at the last second. Loki sends the energy flying back at Stephen in razor-sharp shards of green. The shield absorbs most of the impact, but a few of the shards skate past Stephen, and through the open door towards me. I try to phases, but I just can't, can’t even move as I watch them fly at me almost in slow motion, growing larger and larger.
An open hand from Stephen sends a disk of energy at my torso, pushing me out of the way. I hadn’t realized I had been holding my breath until the disk pushes the gasp from me, stumbling back several feet.
“Here is my patient now,” Loki turned smoothly on his heels. “A pleasure, as always.”
I didn’t greet him.
“Is it true? You agreed to this? To his help?” Stephen faces me, taking several steps towards me, his voice considerably quieter than moments ago. Hot anger had gone icy.
I nod, sheepishly.
The emotions that rolled across Stephen’s face were too quick for me to identify. His eyebrow raises, and he swallows whatever it was he was going to say and shook his head. “Fine.”
Behind him, Loki looks overjoyed with the drama, his emerald eyes bright with pure excitement. There is something about him that make it impossible to get a read on him, like a cat playing with its food, and it twists a knot in my stomach.
Am I making a mistake?
Stephen steps sharply away, arms folded against his chest and freeing up the direct line between Loki and myself. I try to make eye contact with Stephen, but he's too angry to look at me. It stings like a wasp.
After a few moments of silence, Loki clapped his hands together, delighted. “Right! Shall we begin?”
