A/n: thank you for the request. This is my first request for the MCU Fandom, hope you enjoy.

Being the daughter of Captain America and Black Widow is blessing a curse... I'll tell you why.

But first if your the daughter of them I could imagine you having Steve's kind heart and Natasha's temper. Your Godfather Tony always got a kick out of a tiny you getting all angry. And his laughter would only get heavier if you came and started punching his leg for laughing.

Tony would definitely be a second father. He's wanted to be different from his father so he will always show you the love and affection his father didn't show him.

You don't like hearing about Peggy. I think it's because she was almost your dad's love. Natasha never had a problem with hearing Steve talk about her but the woman always left you frustrated just by the sound of her name... You'd never tell your dad this though.

Anyway, being around all theses heros obviously inspired your choice of future work, this scares not only your parents but the whole team.

Sure your mother would teach you how to shoot or Tony will teach you how to build a robot but they all fear the day you'll actually have to use those skills.

Your other Godfather Bucky seems to be the only one with peace about this suprisenly. If you told him you want to be a superhero he'll grien and listen to your reasoning.

There's been times where he'll put toy boxing gloves on your hands and teach you how to punch. Natasha put a stop to it quickly though. One day he was setting on his knees so he was your hight and you kept punching his flesh hand. He wouldn't let you hit his metal hand in fear you'll hurt your self.

Sam would always tease that you have Bucky wrapped around your little finger.

Bucky and Tony always compete to see who can be the coolest Godfather. If one gets you a cool Lego set or dollhouse the other one will get the bigger version. You love Elvis Presley at the time Tony will take you right to Graceland. You want to go you a waterpark Bucky will have you there in a flash before Tony can have the chance.

A down side is you learned how to be independent with your Hero Family. It's not a bad thing and they don't do it intentionally but there's many times you spent at the compound with Pepper and Happy.

But your mom and dad always make it up to you. I wouldn't say your spoiled, but if you ask one of your godfathers nicely(with puppy eyes) you usually get it.

But another down side of being a part of this family is them being extremely over protective. There's been many times you couldn't do something or had to stay indoors for long periods of time because someone was plotting your father's death.

If you do go somewhere one of them is with you. If you want to go to a zoo trip for school one of them is with you. You want to check the mailbox Sam is flying around watching you. And don't even think about going to friends house for a slumber party. Steve and Nat aren't trying to be strick or anything they just always have this sicking feeling something will happen.

On a more positive note... You always have the best time with them. To be honest you never worried about having friends because you had them. You of course have friends your age but you consider the Avengers your Best Friends. Speaking of which Cassie Lang is probably your Best Friend.

Which means the first sleepover you ever had was with Cassie. Since you technically would be with an Avenger it was okay. Tony thought it was dumb to leave you alone with "Thumbelina" but Steve trusts Scott and Nat trusts Hope.

Speaking of which play time is always token to the extreme. You want a nerf gun war, the whole team is involved. You want to build a Lego thing, tony will buy the biggest one. Blanket fort? You don't have to ask Clint and Scott twise.

I think you'll always try and lift Thor's hammer. You've tried but couldn't so one time Thor lifted it with you so you could have the experience.

You love it when Bruce reads to you. If you come up to him with a book he'll drop everything and read to you. It's the only thing that will make him leave the lab immediately. It's calming to him and he always uses different funny voices to make you laugh.

I won't tell anyone but once you got older you had a small crush on Peitro, which didn't set well with most of the men in the compound when Cassie acdently let the cat out of the bag. You've never saw the ironman suit appear so quickly..

I think once you got older the over protectiveness got old. You found it annoying a frustrating at times but in the end you're greatful that you have a group of people that care about you so much.

Be patient with them. They love you and trust you, they just don't trust other people.

Since you can't be on the flighting field you went to medical school and with everyones help(especially from Bruce and Tony) you were able to graduate with a trauma certification and now you work with Dr. Cho in the med bay.

You always hate seeing them beat up from missions but you also love helping Them and other people.

I don't think you and Peter would get along. I don't know why, I just do. I think at one point they tried to get you to go on a date with him but it never happened.

For a little bit I think you had a jealously thing going on and didn't like how close Peter was getting to Tony. Your Godfather noticed this and told you that you'll always be his number one.

Speaking of Starks, your literally the best big sister to Morgan. You two are basically two peas in a pod. And don't even think about messing with her because you will through hands to anyone who's rude to her.

Your basically to her what Tony was to you.

When you get older you do become an Avenger and the elders got over it. You proved you can survive and they couldn't be more proud of you.

This is your family and you couldn't be more thank full. There may have been bumbs mountains along the the way but they'll always be family. And that's forever.

Marvel Preferences: How They Hug You

Steve caresses you gently, wrapping his arms around you, sometimes even gently working you back and forth, along with patting your head. He'll hold you as long as he wants (if you're comfortable with it, of course).

Bucky's way of hugging you is when your head is resting on his shoulder, his hand ontop of your head and his other arm around your waist. It's normally your way of being all lovey dovey, but sometimes it's his way of comforting you.

Sam's way of hugging you also requires him patting you on the back, a silent way of telling you 'good job' on all your hard work or for everything you've done.

Tony would usually just put his arm around your shoulder (and then groan about it when you would tell him that's not a 'real' hug). Other times, he would just say, "alright, bring it in," as he would spread his arms out so you could hug him first. He kisses your neck while in the embrace.

Peter's way of hugging you is your torso. You learn that he's a pretty cuddly person, and doesn't turn down any hugs you give him. His other favorite way of hugging you is when you're both laying down, and he'll just lay on your chest.

Scott's hugs change frequently. But one way way of hugging you is what you would call...'hugging your head', and he kind of has a hard time realizing it. Until you squirm because he's hugging you too tightly..

Loki usually pulls you into a hug by wrapping his arms around your waist. Sometimes, he'll (playfully) pop out of nowhere from behind you and hug you from there to surprise you.

Thor's way of hugging you is more of a bear hug (which can be a little of a tight hug!). He's a real hugger, and it will become really difficult for you to escape once he latches onto you.

Sometimes, you'll have to hug him first, since sometimes he'll be too shy to make the first move. Eventually, he'll make the first move and he will hug you. It's a big, warm embrace, him touching every part of you that he could reach. (And he doesn't hug very often...)

Eddie just hugs you gently, but Venom on the other hand gives you a weird experience; you'll feel a sticky and cold sensation on your skin, almost like he's pulling you in.

Big red Nose, throbbing head, you were found asleep at your desk. with your blanket, which you kept in your office when you get cold wrapped around you as your head was pressed on the keyboard and there were 30 pages of just ‘gibberish of your head pressing the keys Now tony will fight anything, beat up any bad guy or alien. but when it came to the common cold. he wasn’t your “hero” he bluntly hates sick people and being sick. so when he came to visit you with soup. he wore the iron man suit. which at first you thought was funny. until he started to come in and relax on your sofa. while still in a suit.

“you going to undress?” you asked to only have Tony give you a cocky grin. till you realized your knight and shiny armor wasn’t going to be “Tony” he was going to stay in the suit. which you found rude. which resulted in you kicking Tony out until you were better.

revenge was yours when three days later you learned Tony was sick and repaid his kindness to him and wore the suit that you had for emergencies. he then realized how rude he was. and apologized

Loki has seen you slice your thumb by accident and gushing blood, needing two stitches and you didn’t quiver or shred a tear. you did curse like an old God. but crying or being “dramatic” wasn’t your style, you left your dramatic flare to him. you however refused to accept when you were sick. other because it was an inconvenience to your life, or you simply tried to Will your body to pretend it wasn’t sick. But Loki had No idea how stubborn you truly were until today. when you were supposed to take Loki to a Gala event. that your Parents were dragging you to. Like a true gentleman, he was there early. dressed perfectly in a nice three-piece suit and was dashing and smelt perfect. then he saw the state you were in. More pail than him, the rosy cheeks you always had were gone, your eyes were puffy, and even your throat was slightly swollen. if your death-like appearance didn’t give away you were sick. the two sweaters you wore were a good sign to him that you weren’t up to stuff. a Jumper and your Lazy around Lounging Sweater that you had wrapped tightly over your body.

Loki stepped over kissing your lips softly, ‘your sick you should have told me.”

you pushed him back stunned, “I am not sick!” Loki Never fearing anything especially human illnesses cupped your face, ‘you need Rest.”

“I need you!” you said kissing him. he smiled weakly before cupping your face as you pulled away to cough as he heard the flume, you cleared your throat to kiss him and dodged your kiss, “Let’s get you into a hot bath, and curled up in bed.”

“I’m not sick!” you snorted at him pushing him softly as he fell down falling onto your sofa as you climbed onto him, “if I was sick would I want you right now?”

Loki chuckled softly caressing your sides as you softly kissed his neck. as you stopped as he craned his neck to look at you seeing you fell fast asleep.” he grinned weakly caressing your sides, “you know how to show a guy a good time Y/N” He lifted you easily up off the sofa. and carried you to your bedroom where he put you under the blankets and caressed your face as you were fast asleep.

************Steve***********************

Something about being on a mission with your favorite avenger made your day extra gleeful. it wasn’t until mid-day. your stomach Cramp. turned into a twist. and you had to rush from your post. and bolt to a bathroom. Luckily Nat was there to cover for you. but Steve was Furious you ran off. it wasn’t until he came to find you that he found you leaning against the bathroom stall. your body was completely white and you were sweating. bad.

“your sick.”

“no im dying.” you whinned, Steve walked over touching your forehead feeling you burning up as he scooped you up into his arms as he spoke, ‘you done good Y/N leave the mission to us. you rest up in the hotel.”

you grumbled you could walk but Steve didn’t let you. he carried you right to the hotel room and in bed. Nat once seeing you sick. was slightly gleeful. finally after two years of dating. Steve was finally going to see you sick. and Nat. who was your best friend. and ws basically your family. was sickly excited to have Steve see you sick. when you weren’t sick you were cheerful and optimsic and generally happy. but when your sick. your nice switch flicks off. and you dont care if your a bear. your grumpy, snappy and honestly mean. Nat couldn’t wait to see Steve reaction to the Sick you.

“drink lots of water.”

“I know, unlike you i can get sick. i know what to do!” you grumbled as Steve looked up at you shocked as he spoke, “okay, just dont forget.”

“shut up.” Steves’ mouth dropped as you told him to just shut up as you rolled over grumbling. he walked out stunned seeing Nat leaning against the wall chuckling, “yea.. Y/N a bitch when she’s sick..”

“I CAN HEAR YOU!”

Steve chuckled softly as he spoke, “whoa!”

Nat nodded her head, “you should see her with a cold.. I almost lost a arm!”

Steve couldn’t help have a large smile on his face hearing you get cranky. The most uplifting happy go lucky girl in the world. It was entertaining for him.

The moment Thor hears you have a slight little illness he’s first thought is to take you to his homeland to get healed by his healers. From cramps to a common cold. Even a headache from not drinking enough water. His solution was taking you to Asgard. Which you always refused.but always lead to you being picked up and sent anyways. Thor hated seeing you in pain or discomfort and he’s healers could fix you easily. So he didn’t see the issue. he was a rince after all! what point of being Royal was there if he couldn’t bend the Rules and fix he’s favorite person in the galaxy?

Steven was the sweetest when it came to you being sick, he would make sure you had some sort of Drink, making sure you drink enough water. he would always Push water at you in a Kind gesture reminding you that the water will Flush away the sickness. if that true or not you weren’t sure but it was hard to say No to Steven when he was so caring. you would gladly take it. as he would make soap for you and get you the crackers you like. which you never have at the house because you Only eat crackers when you are Really sick and they never last. So he would go to the store to get you crackers, and popsicles for your throat. when he returned he would lay next to you in bed. making sure you had your distance as you both would watch movies. as you fall in and out. falling asleep easily.

you hate being sick, but once Marc came into your life. you secretly loved it. he would drop everything to help you, and call you “Baby” every chance he gets, sure he calls you baby when your well and your out. but the sound of “baby” sounded very different. and you loved hearing the softness of his voice. as he called you “baby” and would volunteer to clean up your river of used tissues. which you would complain that he shouldn’t touch so he doesn’t get sick, which he would Risk it. And you would ask the question if he got sick does that mean Steven also gets sick? how does that work. but he would just chuckle and kiss your head and tell you he would tell you when your better. he never does the thought dissapears the moment your feeling bette Go into the danger zone like that. and listen to someone puke their breakfast (and in your case the day before dinner) He was a caring boyfriend when you weren’t Sick but he treated you extra nice when you were sick and as Messed up as it was. you secretly enjoyed it. you tired faking it Once to get extra attention after he was away for a little to long. but he figured out and gave you a spanking ((YT Sheldon giving Amy a spanking lol ))

Select one of this: one-shot (2k+ words), preference or drabble (500-1k words).

Give me a brief description of what you want. You can even send me a scene or dialogue that you already have in mind.

Let me know if you want a bad or good ending. If you don't say anything, I'll do whatever feels right for me.

I will not describe any physical feature (skin color, weight…) unless it's relevant for the plot, so if the reader needs a specific feature please include it in your request.

I DON'T WRITE SMUT BY REQUEST, only whenever I feel like it. Sorry.

I can write love triangles, but not polyamory because I don't know almost anything about it and don't want to mess it up. Maybe in the future. The only exceptions are Steven Grant and Marc Spector, they're the only ones that I can make the reader date at the same time.

I DON'T WRITE INCEST, PEDOPHILIA OR ANY SICK THING LIKE THAT. If the character is underage, the reader will also be underage, and they will behave like underage people. I can write age gaps if the characters are both adults.

☆This goes both ways. You two kind of clash every once in a while because of how much you can disagree with him, and how you're willing to stand up to any kind of authority. This includes you ordering him to take a break and relax, where you would just take care of him. Other times, you two make a great team during missions (Tony: "oh god we have two Steves now-")

❄️Bucky thinks it's a little funny, thinking that you believe nothing can touch you (not in a bad way though). He knows you can keep calm in certain situations, which is what he's thankful for. He appreciates how independent you can be, telling you how much he's happy to be your partner.

⌲Sam playfully tells you not to get too cocky (and you probably elbow him or smth lol). He tells you he better not get in your way, since you're a pretty busy guy (aka he's joking around again lol).

💲Tony is glad that you're able to fend for yourself, but he finds it a little annoying how you would challenge him or stand up to him when he's making bad choices ('cause you ain't taking shit from anyone, including Tony lol). It's common for you two to argue and have different ideas. On the other hand, he finds it amusing witty you can be, and warns your team members not to make you angry.

🕸Peter thinks you're a total badass, and he knows better not the piss you off (like he would anyway lol). But if someone else manages to, he would sit back and watch you tell someone off, not wanting to get involved (and he's probably hiding in the corner somewhere lol). He appreciates how independent you are, and even looks up to you, often asking you for advice when he needs help.

🐜Scott thinks you're so cool, and tries to be like you but ends up looking like an complete idiot and screws up lol. He feels proud to have you as his partner, and he knows he can rely on you.

💚(Okay, if you're not even scared of Hulk then Bruce will think your confidence is through the roof lol) Bruce knows he can trust you to keep things under control, and knows you can fend for yourself, but he's kind of worried that you'll push yourself too much.

🐍Loki...is impressed and kind of scared of you at the same time. He's impressed at how you're willing to stand up to people and what you believe in, but he knows you won't take shit from anyone, even when it comes to him. When you catch him causing he trouble, he tries to sneak his way out of it so he wouldn't end up getting his ass kicked by you.

Marvel Preferences - With A Gamer GF

Bucky - Bucky is a bit of a classic gamer. He can handle an arcade game like no one you’ve ever seen. When you introduce him to the world of at home gaming he is very intrigued. The first few times you show him he simply sits back and watches happily. He enjoys seeing you in your element. Later he asks if he can try. You gladly give up the controller, watching him pick up the game like a fish to water. He’s so good at it. However, he still prefers the classics. So after that he’d rather just sit and watch and go to the arcade from time to time.

Loki - At first Loki finds your games quite silly. When he sees you playing and you explain to him what you’re doing he would turn his nose up a bit. “Games are for children.” He comments absentmindedly before leaving the room. However he couldn’t help but watch one night and what he saw really impressed him. You moved through the levels with such ease and comfortability that he couldn’t help but stay to watch. After that night, he was hooked. He never wants to play with you but he’s become quite fond of watching. He even praises you often when you beat a level or achieve a task.

Tony - Tony is a bit of a gamer himself. Not nearly as in depth as you but he knows his way around a controller. He used to love first person shooters. He was actually quite good at them too. However, after what happened in New York he’s been a bit skittish around the more violent games. It feels too immersive sometimes. That’s when you introduce him to some cozier games. He finds that he enjoys gaming much more when there’s not so much pressure. He really likes Minecraft. He could sit there and build with you for hours. The two of you now have a standing Minecraft date every Friday night.

Steve - Steve is super confused by your games at first. When he sees the high definition graphics and the complex set of tasks he’s kind of blown away, commenting how impressive it is that you can keep track of everything. Wanting to immerse him in your favorite pastime you try to warm him up to playing with you. The first time he actually gets a bit frustrated when he can’t figure it out. However, pretty soon he picks it up and plays with you from time to time. Now you switch off between watching and playing, finding it a delightful way to spend time together. Although he doesn’t admit it, he’d much rather just watch you play rather than picking up a controller for himself.

Frank - Frank is actually a big gamer himself. He loves to relax on the couch at the end of a tough week and mindlessly play a violent video game. It wasn’t until he met you that he discovered other types of games. He’s warmed up to other genres although his favorite is still the classic first person shooters. The two of you always find time to curl up together and play a game. He’s very lovey when you’re playing together. He’ll usually have you situated between his legs, wrapping his arms around your waist as he maneuvers the controller. It’s his favorite when you play shooter games with him. There’s something about seeing you so expertly handle a gun in game that just does something to him. He loves gaming even more after meeting you. Something about that time together is very special to him.

Stephen - Stephen does not game. He finds the whole notion kind of below him. He would never deny you something that made you happy though. So he does try. There have been a handful of occasions where he’s sat and watched you play although in all instances he ended up falling asleep on the couch. There have also been a handful of times when you’ve both played together. He indulges you just because he loves you so much but it’s not something that happens very often. When it does he usually quits within an hour, finding some excuse to be done early. He’d much rather just leave you to yourself when you’re gaming, letting you do what makes you happy without any kind of interruption.

Vision - Vision is naturally a whiz at games. It’s not his favorite hobby but there are definitely times when he is in the mood to game with you. He likes puzzle games the best. Anything that engages the mind. He loves watching you work out the complex rules and steps in order to win. Your intelligence is incredibly attractive to him so seeing your beautiful sexy brain in action is absolutely peak for him. Although for him, a good majority of the games you play are somewhat boring to him since he finds them so simple. His favorite moments are when he is cooking dinner and can watch you playing your game from the kitchen as he works. It’s the perfect amount of stimulation and entertainment for him. He’d much rather do that.

Druig - Druig does like to game with you. He gets very competitive when he does though. Part of you loves it and part of you hates it. It doesn’t matter what the game is, he can always find a way to make a competition out of it. If you’re playing a first person shooter, he’ll bet you he can kill more bad guys than you. If it’s a puzzle game, he guarantees he can solve the puzzle faster than you. If it’s a farming game, he’s sure that he’ll grow more crops than you do. It’s all in a joking spirit though. He never actually means to compete with you. He just finds your huffy little reactions quite entertaining. It’s especially fun when you get into the spirit of it with him, trying to beat him at whatever challenge he’s given you at that moment.

Dane - Dane is really bad at games but he’s got the spirit. It’s always so delightful when you watch him playing a game. It’s never frustrating or hindering. You just patiently guide him through the tasks, watching intently as he completes them one at a time. You find that farming games are really good to play with him. He’s better at those than any other kind of game. You just give him one task at a time. As he completes a task he’ll happily ask what he can do next. It’s kind of funny sometimes but you would never tell Dane how bad he is. You just keep letting him think he’s a game whiz and enjoying his company as the two of you play together. It’s also nice when he scoots close by your side and links arms with you as you play.

RED FLAGS - PART ONE - CLINT BARTON

You weren't sure what happened. It was all too fast. And most of it didn't seem real to you just yet. Some time has passed now and you weren't sure if you were ready to accept the reality of it all. But you knew you would have to eventually.

A month ago your world came crashing down. Everything that you thought was true, turned out to be lies. And now you were left with your own broken pieces trying to patch them all back together.

Clint and you had been together for a while at that point, at least you thought. You had a crush on him since you had met him and that eventually turned into the two of you flirting until Clint asked you out. Everything seemed to be perfect...until it wasn't.

"Hey, Y/N," Clint grinned upon entering the Avengers compound.

You were in the laboratory with Bruce working on something. Bruce had asked for your input or else the laboratory would be the last place you would be. Everyone was called to the compound regarding a mission related to Hydra, it was simply a matter of when the others arrived. Once everyone was there, you'd take off.

"You're late," you smiled over at him jokingly.

"Not everyone has super abilities to fly or run here unnaturally fast," Clint argued, a smile still on his face as he approached you.

"Obviously not since I don't have either of them," you retorted just as Clint wrapped his arms around your waist.

"Mhmm well you live a lot closer than I do," Clint defended.

"Excuses, excuses," you shook your head before Clint leaned down to kiss you quickly.

"Get a room," Bruce chuckled earning your attention once more.

"Sorry, Banner," you stepped away from Clint.

"I'll meet you on the jet," Clint promised before exiting the laboratory.

"How long has that been going on?" Bruce inquired once you joined his side again.

You turned around to watch Clint walk away before shrugging, "Maybe two months now."

"Are you two official or?" Bruce asked next.

That question always confused you and made your stomach drop. Despite the two of you acting like a couple, you said, "Not necessarily."

"Oh," Bruce looked over you concerned, but you brushed it off.

That's how things were for the two of you. Clint would openly show affection towards you around the others and often greeted you with some sort of affection whether it be a hug, kiss on the cheek, or simply a kiss. You were content. Clint would take you out multiple times a week or you would be spending time together at one of your homes. If no one asked, then it did appear that you two were a couple. You would bring up labels every now and then, but Clint avoided that conversation at all costs. That should've been your red flag. That should've been the moment you walked away.

Clint walked over to you holding two drinks in his hands. He smiled before offering to you, "Who let you out of the house looking like that?"

You couldn't help but smile as you took the drink out of his hand, "What? Do you not like it?"

"I love it," Clint stated before leaning down to whisper in your ear, "But I'll love taking it off later more."

You pushed him away, keeping your hand on his chest, "Watch it."

Clint chuckled, "What? Am I wrong?"

You rolled your eyes, "We'll see if you're on your best behavior."

"Ooh, I like this side of you, Y/N," Clint wrapped an arm around your waist. "I guess I better stick by your side so I'm on my best behavior."

"You're never on your best behavior," you laughed.

Clint shrugged before leaning down to give you a chaste kiss, "I have something motivating me to be tonight."

You've avoided the compound since it happened. You've been ignoring phone calls and text messages from the team. Natasha did break into your apartment at one time to check in on you and Bruce had banged on your apartment door for well over an hour but you refused to answer because you just wanted to be left alone in your misery.

You laid out on your bed unsure of what else you could have done to keep him. You knew it was wrong to still long for him, but you couldn't get him out of your head. As much as you tried to hate him, all of the good times kept showing up in your memories. But there was one horrid memory that you remembered the most. It continued to replay in your head torturing you. You knew you shouldn't think about it, you knew you should get over it. But what was between you and Clint was real to you, and that's all that matters.

You entered the compound ready to complete some training and look over a case Fury had suggested you look into. But you had stopped in your tracks when you noticed Clint there with the others, but he had an arm wrapped around a women's waist. A woman you didn't recognize. Bruce caught your eyes as you stood there wearily subtle shaking his head at you. But before you could try to sneak back out, Thor obliviously called you over.

"Lady Y/N! You must meet Clint's girlfriend," Thor waved you over.

Your heart sank at those words and you wanted to vomit. Your eyes were pricked with tears briefly before you forced a smile on your face as you walked over to the group.

Clint cleared his throat, "Y/N, this is Laura. Laura, this is one of my teammates, Y/N."

Teammate? you thought. Was that all you ever were? That was bullshit.

"It's nice to meet you. Sorry, I have to cut our meeting short but I have some work I need to get done," you politely said before starting to walk away from the group.

"Work? Can't it wait?" Thor asked, completely oblivious.

"It can't," you lied before exiting the room they were in and finding yourself a secluded meeting room that you could lock yourself in there. You rested your back against the now locked door as you closed your eyes and took several deep breaths but it wasn't calming you down. How could you be so foolish? And how did that even happen? Clint was just over at your apartment two days ago. Nothing seemed different. He was kissing you, he was touching you, he ordered your favorite takeout, and he stayed the night. So how did this even happen?

There was a knock on the door and you groaned quietly to yourself. "Classified!" you called out, hoping they would walk away. But of course, your day couldn't get any worse.

"Y/N, it's me," you heard Clint say.

"I'm busy," you lied, trying your hardest not to cry.

"Come on, you're never too busy for me," he said so confidently.

"I need to get this report done by noon today," you continued to lie.

"It'll only take a few minutes," he promised.

You rolled your eyes and against your better judgment, you yanked the door open to look at him with a cold look. You knew you'd have to face this eventually, but you weren't sure if now would be the best time. You were still coming to terms with your emotions and those were all over the place.

Clint had the audacity to step with a smile before shutting the door behind him. "What did you think of her?"

"I don't want to talk about her," you crossed your arms as you stared at him. "You can leave if that's all you want to talk about."

"Woah, Y/N, I thought we were cool," Clint looked at you confused.

"We're not cool. You know what, Clint. We're are far from fucking cool," you stated as you moved to walk to the other side of the room to avoid hitting him.

"Wait, what?" Clint asked, his voice rising a bit. "We're friends. You should be happy for me."

"Is that all we were? Just friends?" you shouted at him, slamming your hands against the table, "Because I'd never do the things we did with anyone else out there."

"Y/N," Clint sighed.

"What the fuck were we? Here I thought we were together and then you just show up with another woman?" you asked him, fighting back tears.

"We weren't together," Clint defended. "We weren't anything official."

"This was still a shitty thing to do to a supposed friend of yours," you called out. "How could you do this?"

"We weren't together!" Clint argued.

"Then what do you call what we were?" you whispered angrily.

"Friends with benefits?" Clint said hesitantly.

"Then you should've clarified that," you hissed, "You knew I had feelings for you."

"I thought with me avoiding labels you would get the hint," Clint argued.

"You're a dick," you moved to exit the meeting room, "And I hate you"

"Come on, Y/N. You don't mean that," Clint grabbed your wrist to stop you from leaving.

"I mean it. I never want to speak to you again," you tried to rip your hand from his grip, but he only tightened his hold on you. "Clint, let go."

"I want to talk about this like adults," Clint stated.

"How did you think I was going to react to you bringing a woman here when just two days you were in my bed?" you demanded.

Clint didn't respond to that. You tried to exit again, but Clint wasn't budging. So you opted to grab his arm and flip him over, slamming him to the ground causing him to release his grip on you.

"What did I do wrong? Did I ask for too much? Did I misunderstand it all? All I wanted was for you to want me," you choked out before strutting out of the meeting room leaving Clint on the ground. You sneaked out of the compound to return to your apartment where you haven't left since.

You hated thinking about that day. How could you be so wrong about Clint's feelings for you? How could the two of you not be together? How could all of it mean absolutely nothing to him? He told you he loved you, but that was a lie. He talked about a future with you, but now you knew he had zero intentions of it. He promised you the world, but he was just pulling words out of his ass. But you remembered everything, every last word. You remembered it all too well.

You barely even glanced over at your ringing phone seeing Clint's name light up on the screen. He had been trying to call you since that day. And that only made it all that much harder for you. Your temptation overtook you and you answered, regretting it almost immediately.

"Y/N?" Clint called out.

"What do you want?" you asked, pretending to be normal.

"Are you okay? You've been ignoring everyone," Clint said.

"I'm fine. I've been busy," you lied.

"You're a terrible liar."

"Why are you pretending to care?" you sighed.

"Because I do care about you, Y/N," Clint explained.

"You made it clear that you don't," you countered.

"Are you still upset about Laura?" Clint asked irritated.

"It doesn't matter," you said. "Did you need something?"

"Can I come over?"

"You can fuck off," you hung up on him before throwing your head back into the couch, regretting answering the call at all. But within the hour, he was calling you again. This time you ignored him. And you continued to ignore him. You despised Clint Barton and wanted nothing to do with him again. Which you knew was unrealistic. But you would avoid him until there was another threat to Earth, and even then you would avoid speaking to him at all costs. Everything to you was real and you couldn't understand how you got so lost in translation that you were left broken-hearted while he had her.
