It has been awhile since Stephen became his boyfriend. As he knew more about Stephen’s life, he often resents how cruel this universe has been to Stephen.
Avengers are known world wide. People always express praise and gratitude when they save the world.
But, Stephen, Wong, the entirety of Kamar-Taj don’t have that. They remain unknown and have no one but only themselves for god knows how long.
Tony once believed people would never be able to understand and see how hard and lonely their life can be, how much they sacrifice themselves for this planet and people.
Stephen has already saved this planet for god knows how many times at the cost of his life, his sanity, but look at him now, so pale and so thin, except endless pain, endless stress and endless responsibility, what does he get?
And now he is lying lifelessly in a hospital bed, fighting for his life, while Tony can do nothing but pray.
He wants to scream, to cry, to beg his love of life to wake up.
Before they were together, Stephen once told him when he was drunk that he had no family anymore, no friends except Wong, Christine and Cloak, so he would definitely be the best choice to shoulder these heavy responsibilities.
Even if oneday he gave his life, Wong and Christine might be sad, Cloak might miss him, but still, “minimization of loss” he said.
But things are finally different now, more and more people know who Stephen is and what he did to save this planet, it has to be a fresh-new start for Stephen, to them.
Stephen deserves these much love and gratitude.
“Baby please, wake up and come back to me, to us... There’re so many, so many people loving you, I love you. You have a family now...
I know you’re tired, but honey look, we’re all here, Cloak, Avengers, Wong, Christine and those people you saved waiting outside the compound, we’re waiting for you, you’re not lonely any more.
Please, please don’t give up, don’t leave us...”
I have a whole story on 30 sheets of paper about IronStrange in the eastern medieval world, but they are only in the form of very rough sketches so as not to forget the main points of this story. I really need the Eye of Agamotto or the TARDIS to draw them all.
I'm going to finish this drawing in watercolor and I'm really afraid to ruin it, because, you know, if you leave the hobby for years, then your skills are lost.
Stephen: We call that a traumatic event.
Stephen, turning to Peter: Not a “bruh moment.”
Stephen, turning to America: Not a “major L.”
Stephen, turning to Tony: And definitely not an "OOF, lmao".
