Things I can’t stop thinking about:

Transfem Sanji not daring to transition before leaving the Baratie because his father doesn’t allow female coworkers.

Also Sanji starting to smoke to poison himself like his mother poisoned herself while being pregnant.

I was having a very nice day until I read this, but since I love angst I am going to forgive you because this is GREAT.

Honestly, Sanji realizing she's a girl when she's young but not telling Zeff is so real to me. Because she's still scared Zeff might react negatively. I mean. You've seen how Zeff is, and even if he loves Sanji, his views on masculinity and the way he interacts with the kid make it obvious why Sanji wouldn't want to tell him. And if you add the 'not admitting female coworkers'? It kills me. Because it's not only about Zeff reacting negatively. Maybe he does support Sanji. But what if he doesn't let her work at the Baratie anymore? Sanji would die. That being said, Sanji transfem is so real because Zeff was made to be a girl dad and I think he'd be the most protective and supportive dad ever. Sanji's just irrationally scared because of trauma.

And yeah, Sanji using smoking as a way of slow, passive self-harm kills me every time. I already had this thought and it's a personal headcanon of mine, and it hurts,,, So much,,,
