i love how immortal tim drake aus handle tim's trauma of it compared to everyone else's, bc for tim his deaths are like serious injuries for vigilantes - for normal people, a stab wound or broken bone can be traumatic, or something you remember for your whole live, but for vigilantes its just a monthly thing that happens.

Yeah, it sucks, but they move on from it.

And so with his deaths, the bats are running around absolutely traumatised on his behalf, guilt ridden etc, while tim is confused about why they are reacting like this.

Immortal/ageless Tim Drake who doesn't realize time has passed him by until the unsettling proof is staring him in the face.

Maybe it's a birthday come and gone. The lines he suddenly notices on someone's face. Maybe it's just the fact that Damian and Duke have shot up in height while Tim's left waiting for a final growth spurt he's realizing will probably never come.

Either way it all ends the same:

Tim watching from the sidelines, cataloguing every minute difference he can find between the version of these people in front of him and the images of them that have lived in his head since he was actually seventeen. He stands in his bathroom that night, looking at his face in the mirror.

He traces a finger over a patch of recurring acne on his cheek and tugs at the bags under his eyes, but nothing else about his face is any different. Still the same young face, cheeks rounded with the last traces of baby fat stubbornly clinging to his face no matter how much he works out.

He digs through family albums and finds the same face in them all from his seventeenth birthday onward. Unchanged except for the new scars he's collected.

His chest aches with a sudden bitterness as he looks through page after page after page - watching his family move forward while he remains stagnant. And he wonders.

Danny knew a lot of immortals and near immortals. Not that he knew, of course, because other than the time traveling nonsense, he always stayed in Amity. He saved a lot of said immortals too.

Three months after he moved to Gotham, a bunch of assassins were trying to wreak havoc on the city. Danny flew around to help his new friend, Red Robin. When he landed on the roof top where Tim was facing down the Demon’s Head, neither of them expected the Demon’s Head to stop his attacks and blurt out a surprised, “Danyal?”

Tim, instantly on guard, asked, “How do you know Danny, Ra’s?”

Danny straightened. “Oh my Ancients. You’re the bratty kid with the stick! Ra’s al Ghul!”

“I can not believe I owe someone like you a life debt.”

I have this really intricate Tim hc that from the ages of about 9-13 he ran an incredibly popular Batman and Robin fanblog. Like, over a million followers kind of popular. It's full of never-before-seen photos, stories from Batman + Robin sightings and encounters, updates, theories, etc.

Now, Tim was very careful to make sure his identity was hidden--no name, age, or general identity was mentioned on or linked with the account. No photo posted included so much as one of his fingers. All anyone knew was that whoever ran the blog lived in Gotham and had enough time to update the blog several times a day.

When Tim became Robin, he gradually stopped posting on the account and eventually completely stops, leaving his followers to wonder what could have possibly happened to him (anything can happen in Gotham, after all).

A few years go by and some My Immortal shit ends up happening where several people come forward pretending to have run the blog, but none of them can verify that they're telling the truth.

And then one day. Tim remembers the blog, logs back into it, and posts a photo of himself in full Red Robin getup with the caption "hey guys, sorry ive been gone for so long. But guess what!"

The internet breaks that day

Maybe the real reason why none of the Robins actually die is because they’ve accidentally been deity-fied.

I mean, at first they were a literal urban legend, until they started getting involved with the Justice League. And even then, I’m sure the people of Gotham think that they are not humans.

I know Jason woke up because of multiversal mishaps, but what if Jason woke up because enough people were praying for Robin to come back to make sure Batman doesn’t continue to put people into the ICU.

And after that moment, none of the Robins, past present or future, were able to permanently die unless the entirety of Gotham was wiped out.

Steph and Dick died for a couple minutes and then woke up.

And Damian came back with superpowers (for a little bit) and I know he came back because Bruce did everything in his power to make sure he got Damian back, but like, Damian came back.

So yeah, just Gotham accidentally deifying their vigilantes.

It takes forever and a day for someone to notice, but after decades of crime fighting, the Justice League finally catches onto the fact that—-

Batman doesn’t seem to be aging. At all.

Sure there are some lines on his face but anybody with as many children as him would have them. And yes, he does complain of back pains every now and again, but he’s been doing that since the day the JLA first formed, so who knows.

Come to think of it, his gaggle of kids don’t seem to be a day over twenty-two either. None of them. Even Nightwing, who should be well into his fourties’ (fifties?? Sixties???) still looks exactly the same.

The JLA decide to investigate.

Which isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do, because it’s Gotham, and every single person in that godforsaken city is bloody insane as they come to find out. (With a side dish of plausible deniability to boot)

Batman AU: Bruce has an adoption problem. It started several centuries ago with his first forays into the multiverse, and his first encounters with bad dad batmen. Now more than half of Gotham's population is various versions of the batfam.

He's got like, 160 Alfreds, two suburbs of stephanies, a district of Damians... etc.

Clark is mildly concerned. He had the good sense to incorporate the Kent farm as a township, not take over a city.

So...anyone remember that version of the Rejected Soulmate AU where Danny turns Tim into a Halfa against his will and Tim developed picture powers and trapped Phantom in a painting?

Well I do and I'm about to make it everyone else's problem.

When Danny is finally released from the painting he is not okay. He had been trapped in an attic where pretty much no one went to and then everyone outright avoided for years.

He was essentially stuck in solitary confinement for Ancients know how long. People don't just walk away from that and get to be perfectly sane afterwords. Whats more was that Dannys core was damaged right before being picturefied. Usually the damage sustained would have been nothing more than the equivalent of a skinned knee but being surrounded on all sides by the essence or not only another ghost but another Halfa...well...when two ghosts mix thier essences together they can create a new core.

A baby.

Unfortunately for Phantom both of them were Halfas and Danny had no access to human requirements such as food and water.

Phantoms body couldn't handle the strain of a pregnancy and he had a miscarriage. Worse still, he was constantly surrounded by Tim's essence so he just...kept getting pregnant and kept having miscarriage after miscarriage. When Danny was released he sobbed. It wasn't unusual so hear sobbing or crying from what was dubbed "Dannys room" all around him were the empty cores of the children he had lost, splayed across the floor without a glow and without a life. He looked up at the wall he had been hanging on and saw a distinct discoloration where his portrait used to be. For the love of the Ancients, how long had be been trapped there??

Danny eventually managed to calm down and went over to one of the boxes that hadn't been touched since Alfred stopped coming he tried not to think about that and quietly dumped the contents out onto the floor and used the box to gather up the so many far too many cores.

He would hold a funeral for them all at a later date, but for now he needed to escape the manor.

Sneaking down the stairs he kept his senses sharp. There seemed to be no one in the manor and it appeared to have been that way for quite some time. Alfred would rise from the grave himself if he knew how much dust had accumulated in his absence.

Danny walked past a puddle on the living room floor absently noting the large stain on the ceiling that periodically let a drop splash down into the dampness below. What had happened here? Clearly Tim hadn't died the rest of the way anytime soon after locking Danny up and throwing away the key, so what was up with the manor? How long had Danny been gone? Did they abandon him along with the house? That thought sent his stomach churning.

He knew Tim didn't want him. He had been okay with that so long as he played with him. Most soulmate bonds were platonic and Danny wasn't above pestering someone for attention. Red Robin had almost always seemed annoyed by his presence though and never really gave him a chance even when he seemed to be having fun with whatever "mini game" he had constructed (he made sure to base them off of Reds own hobbies and likes) he had seemed to be holding himself back. Tim never opened up to Danny.

Now Danny was the one trying to avoid Tim as he slipped out one of the manors secret passageways. Thank you old school money and your paranoid aristocrats. He wondered it Bruce even knew of all the secret passageways the Phantom had scoped out in Wayne Manor as he slipped out of a bush behind some old house on another property. Judging on how he had to phase his way out of the hidden door and under the bushes roots he'd go out on a limb and guess no one had used this one in quite a while.

He decided to still stick to the shadows. Even if he had escaped the manor it didn't change the fact that if Tim didn't already know he escaped he would soon enough and would be out looking for him with the rest of the furry patrol.

What about Hood? Did he still hate him? Danny wasn't even sure what went wrong. One day they were friends and then the next he wouldn't even look at him. Did Tim say something? Would he stoop so low? Either way he didn't think Hood would help him. He could feel Hoods Ecto-signature over in the direction of Crime Alley so he couldn't have been trapped for two long, right?

Wrong. So so wrong. According to the date on the electronic billboard he had been trapped for 133 years. Ancients. In other news Tim Drake had been attacked and fallen into a coma not too long ago, which would explain why Danny was free and not being chased. That and his collar that hid his ecto signature. Every day he's thankful for it.

Now would be the best time to leave Gotham. Now while everyone is distracted and Tim can't shove Danny back into his own private Hell.

By the time Tim realizes Danny is missing he will already be long gone.

Random ra'stim idea:

What if they just don't tell anyone. Like Ra's quietly courts Tim the old fashioned way but like on the down low.

Tim's bookcase is slowly being filled with love poems written in Arabic, he gets his ears re-pierced but he's not wearing Alvin Draper's earrings- he's wearing emeralds and jade.

He starts wearing fine fabrics to Gala's, professional but not a western style suit, and that's where Damian starts catching on. Because he knows these types of clothing intimately, and Drake is too white to have picked such outfits out on his own.

Then there's a ring. Gold banded, studded in tiny green gemstones that seem to glow when viewed from certain angles and a large diamond to top it off. When Stephanie admires it and asks about it, Tim tells her it's his mother's, something he found going through her old jewellery box. But it's obviously foreign- His excuse is his parents former line of work. Damian knows better, he just doesn't have anything to back up his suspicions.

Tim is seeing someone. Why is he keeping it a secret? Why is he wearing foreign jewellery and why is his Arabic now so perfectly spoken.

Then there's the kohl Tim starts wearing to special events, the same kind his own mother wears. The same kind Ra's wears.

Damian tries to convince Grayson that something is going on between Tim and the LOA. That Tim is romantically involved with someone. It couldn't be his mother, and there's only one other person who wears that same green fabric Drake had draped himself in just the other day.

But Damian is brushed off. Told to stop being paranoid and to leave Tim alone. And the others are too busy to listen to him, or simply don't want to.

Dick, though, doesn't admit to the younger that he too is starting to grow just a little bit suspicious.

Then there's the second ring. A thick, shiny gold band inscribed with Arabic text, and Damian is sure to point it out when they all end up in the same room. Tim tries for the excuse he used for the last ring, but Damian points out clearly that it's written in a way specific to the league only.

Tim is pink in the face, but he manages to keep his other features otherwise expressionless as he gaslights Damian, claiming that he is being absurd.

Finally Dick steps in to back Damian up. Dick is a bullshit artist himself, and he can see through the gaslighting immediately.

"You married my grandfather didn't you, Drake?" Damian hisses out.

Tim only frowns at the fourteen year old. "I'm 19 and a CEO, I can do what I want. There's a reason I never told anybody about us."

"He intends to clone you for an heir to replace me, Drake, have you forgotten that!?" Damian asks.

"less pressure on you. Now you only need to focus on becoming the next Batman," Tim shrugs in reply.

"woah wait!" Stephanie speaks up. "How can you be so okay with the whole cloning thing??"

Tim shrugs again. "It is what it is."

"fuck off, you are not using a meme to justify this right now", Jason says in disbelief.

"Tim who are you texting??"

He looks up from his phone with a small smile. "I'm getting my husband to pick me up y'all are lame, peace out ✌️😙"

"Tim! You come back here this instant!"

"You're not my dad!"

Danny Phantom x DC Prompt #7

Danny after entering the portal continues aging until his powers stabilize in his 20s. After that point, he stops aging and become significantly harder to kill as his body has reached an equilibrium. He lives out his life with his friends and family until they all pass away. He gently watches over their family bloodlines while occasionally establishing a life for himself in the world.

One day Danny falls in love with a man and they live together. Danny has never felt so at peace before. He goes to the ghost zone and asks about it to find out that a ghost is most at peace with their soulmate (a rare occurrence and find). He tells everything to his lover and they live the rest of his lives life together. Only to be separated at death and his love doesn't become a ghost.

Years later Danny finds his love reincarnated again and they fall in love again. Only for Danny to lose him to a violent crime. Still his love doesn't become a ghost and reincarnated. The love keeps reincarnating and Danny keeps meeting him. Until finally in the newest life, his love is a superhero (one of the Bats) and when they meet Danny they decide to investigate. The more they investigate and discover Danny's past, the more they remember past lives. Once it becomes fully revealed to them, they hunt Danny down crying and kiss him. Danny having only just met his soulmate is both understandably consider and very pleased.

After so many centuries, they finally find a way for the shouldn't to be immortal without resulting in bad methods or something that can threaten their health and live happily ever after.

Immortal Gotham

Ok so bear with me

I have this au that everyone in Gotham ages differently. By this I mean that they will randomly stop aging, then continue, or age slower and no one no why (like how everyone ages in comics) but it is ONLY in Gotham. Since Gotham is so separate then the rest of the world nobody knows. It’s just that unspoken thing.

So the other heroes and villain’s from around the world age normally. While the heroes and villain's in Gotham seem to be immortal in a sense. But since Batman is a cryptid no one notices.

But it is not just heroes and villains but everyone (at least if you don’t get murdered) such as Commissioner Gordon.

Until one-day Dick Grayson causally mentions how he has 80 years of experience despite being 25. Everyone from Gotham commented about how weird it was for the world to age while time seemed to stay still for them.

Cue confusion for everyone else.

I just think this would be a hilarious thing to read.
